Hey bible readers. I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for kids. It's time for another seven day roundup. First up, let's zoom out. You've finished four books of the Bible. You followed a family through times of blessing and times of struggle. You've learned that God gives rules because his way is the best way way. And you've seen how God loves his kids and always keeps his promises. We finished another book, so let's make sure that we have the big picture.
B
Leviticus.
A
The book of Leviticus lists a lot of laws, rules and instructions. For most of the book. God talks to Moses. He tells the Israelites how to live as God's free people. And as he does this, we we see that the one true holy God wants to be close to sinful people. To our list we added one more word to remember.
B
Tithe means 1 10th. It's an offering of income, money, food or animals made by God's people.

And finally, let's talk about an application. God keeps his promises. Make a list of the promises God made to the Israelites in Genesis, Exodus and Leviticus. Here are some reminders. In Genesis 12:2, God says to Abraham, I will make you into a great nation. In Exodus 6:6, God says, I will free you from your oppression and will rescue you from your slavery in Egypt. And in Leviticus 26:12, God says, I will give you peace in the land and you will be able to sleep with no cause for fear. He made some really big promises to the Israelites. Now let's make a list of the promises that God has made to us today. Here are some from Scripture that we haven't read together yet. In Hebrews 13:5, God says, I will never fail you. I will never abandon you. James 1:5 says, if you need wisdom, ask our generous God and he will give it to you. And Luke 12:40 says, the son of man, that's Jesus will come when least expected. He keeps his promises to the Israelites and he keeps his promises to us today. Praise God for always keeping his promises. He's where the joy is, Sam.
