Did you start your business to create freedom... or has it slowly become another job? Most entrepreneurs don't wake up one day feeling trapped. It happens gradually. A few more customers. A few more responsibilities. A few more hats to wear. Before long, the business you dreamed would give you freedom can't seem to function without you. In this episode, Hunter explores one of the most common—and least talked about—struggles business owners face: accidentally building a business that depends entirely on them. We'll discuss why success doesn't always lead to freedom, how responsibility can quietly replace the vision that started it all, and why it's worth asking if your business is serving your life... or if your life has slowly become devoted to serving your business. If you've ever felt exhausted by the very business you once dreamed of building, this conversation is for you. Key Takeaways: Why many entrepreneurs accidentally build themselves into the center of everything The hidden difference between owning a business and owning a job How success can quietly become a trap if you're not intentional A simple question every business owner should ask themselves this week Reflection Question: "Did I build my business to serve my life... or has my life slowly become devoted to serving my business?"For more information and resources, check out:https://theblessedbusiness.com/Thank you!

In this episode, Hunter delves into the story of Jacob and Esau, and how Esau's appetite for the blessing changed after they experienced the famine with their father, Issac. Seeing Issac blessed through difficult times may have just been the impetus for Esau to pursue the blessing so passionately, even though it was too late. Interestingly, Joseph's story builds on this important aspect of his father's and uncle's stories. He demonstrates how commitment to covenantal responsibility, diligence, and perseverance in tough times opens the door for exponential blessing. The famine is what brought things full circle and revealed the blessing that was on his life the entire time. Famines aren't all bad. God can use them for great good! Favor is often found in the famine. For more resources, please check out: www.theblessedbusiness.com
