Bob
Here's some extra. This is Bob and Tom. Extra. What you got over there?
Tom
Hey.
Christy
A rare copy of the U.S. constitution sold for $9 million at auction. The document sold by Brunk Auctions had only been recently discovered stashed away in a filing cabinet in a home that was once owned by Samuel Johnston.
Bob
Clean that place very often.
Christy
Yeah, because he was the. He was the governor of North Carolina from 1787 to 1789. The copy was printed after the Constitutional Convention finished drafting the proposed framework of the Nation's government in 1787. And as one of only 100 copies printed by Charles Thompson, secretary of the Continental Congress at the time, only eight are still known to exist and the other seven are publicly owned. What happened to this document between Thompson's signature in 2022 is not really known. A watermark. 1776. First draft of the Articles of Confederation went for $1 million at the same auction.
Tom
Whoa.
Christy
$9 million. Now it's in private hands. What would you do with that?
Josh
Hey, you want to go down the basement see my copy of the Constitution?
Christy
Right.
Josh
Sure. Yeah.
Bob
Where do you keep it?
Josh
Yeah, there it is. All right.
Bob
You got to.
Josh
What if you spill marinara sauce on it?
Bob
Yeah.
Tom
A coffee ring.
Josh
Holy hell.
Bob
Hey, don't put it there. That's where John Hancock. Emphasize the part of his name. I love that.
Tom
Why did he underline just that syllable?
Josh
Hey.
Bob
That rascal. That rascal. He thinks he's got a big hand. God. I get it.
Josh
My name's a dick. Joke.
Tom
That's right.
Bob
What are you gonna do?
Josh
What are you gonna do? Huh?
Christy
Do you think they teased him even back then?
Bob
Oh, yeah, I think so.
Tom
I don't know.
Christy
I think. I don't know.
Josh
I'll spend all my money in insurance. It's all right. Go ahead, laugh it up, you guys. Go ahead.
Christy
Authorities in Oregon seized a drug filled bag that was printed with the words definitely not a bag full of drugs.
Tom
That's funny.
Christy
Portland Police Bureau said officers stopped a man and a woman driving a stolen car in Southeast Portland and conducted a search of the vehicle. Inside, they allegedly found cash, firearms, scales, and a bag that had definitely not a bag full of drugs printed on it. And of course it had drugs inside. They were taken into custody.
Bob
Boy, someone loved their label maker. Well, I've got to try it out.
Tom
Well, you know how this was, Forrest and Natasha.
Christy
I know, right?
Josh
You get a label maker, you're gonna want to use it for everything. Very exciting.
Tom
They are addicting.
Bob
Yeah, that's this one. Wait a second. This bag's marked bribe money for the police. That is so stupid.
Christy
Right?
Bob
Why would anybody do that?
Tom
Would you ever try to bribe a police officer?
Josh
No.
Bob
What would the occasion be?
Tom
Just another, you just didn't want a ticket or whatever? How about I just give you 50 bucks?
Josh
Just another reason I'm not a police officer.
Christy
I'm not a police officer.
Josh
I walk into a room with a table full of money. All of it's not getting turned in.
Bob
No kidding.
Josh
Let's just start there.
Tom
Yeah. We would have no business being officers at all.
Pat
My dad tried to once. There was a group of kids that got into trouble, and my dad saw that I know these kids, and so he pulled over and he knew. He knew two of the kids. He didn't know the other two kids. And so he told the cop, he goes, I'll give you 100 bucks for those two.
Christy
And he goes.
Pat
He goes, it's too far gone. He goes, I. And he acknowledged. He was like, I get it, but I can't.
Tom
Funny.
Pat
Yeah, but he just tried. He's like, I know these kids.
Bob
Parents.
Pat
I'll give you two. I'll give you 100 bucks for those.
Bob
Two for the hooks.
Tom
That's funny.
Christy
Don't try to bribe.
Pat
He stuck around, drove him home.
Christy
Oh, that was nice.
Tom
Isn't even attempting to bribe a police officer against the law 100% sure.
Christy
A teenager in Germany is making headlines for his unusual hobby.
Josh
Oh, a teen got.
Bob
Oh.
Christy
This story ties in everything we're talking about.
Bob
This is the worst.
Josh
A kinderdult. Now, what would German be?
Christy
A teenager, a Teenager in German. Kinderdult. I like that.
Pat
That sounds wrong.
Josh
Kinderschlut.
Christy
What?
Josh
No, that's way wrong. That's way wrong.
Christy
He is snitching on parking offenders to the police.
Pat
Oh my God.
Bob
As a job.
Christy
18 oh. 18 year old Nicholas Matai rides his bike and takes pictures of illegally parked cars and sends the pics to the local authorities. Yeah, he is. He initially started in his hometown of whatever the hell that word is. Just trying but expanded.
Josh
Give it a shot.
Christy
Grafen Haschen.
Tom
That's wrong.
Bob
Not even close.
Josh
Grafen haschen.
Christy
Let's. Let's let Pat try.
Josh
Grafen has.
Tom
Are we on the air?
Christy
I was close.
Pat
That's close.
Christy
Yeah.
Bob
Yeah, that's that. I bet that may be it. Grafen Heinrichen.
Christy
Local media reports.
Josh
Why are you saying it like that?
Christy
Grafen Heinrichen, who calls himself reporting Master, which in German is Burger something.
Tom
Burger.
Bob
It is.
Pat
It's so long.
Christy
It is so long. So long. Look at that.
Josh
I want to be called that beautiful German language.
Christy
Wow.
Bob
An Eigen hopped Meister.
Christy
Yeah. You did a great job.
Bob
Let's do it again. So this guy, he's taking pictures of. What is it?
Christy
Of illegally parked cars. He's written over 4,000 police reports last year resulting in a total of $154,227 in collection.
Bob
This kid's going to get his ass beat. Yeah, well, that's his nickname, you see. Very good, T. It was better than.
Tom
I thought it would be.
Christy
Much better. Yes, Josh. Mr. Has sometimes been met with violence for his efforts, but he claims he's doing a civic duty.
Bob
Oh, this person. Ms. Grundy, you forgot to give us our homework assignment for the weekend.
Tom
Yeah, this is silly. What a. What a dork.
Bob
Do you play? Do you play Parking roulette?
Christy
What do you mean, parking roulette?
Bob
I go to the same coffee place every day.
Christy
Yeah, we know.
Bob
And it's the place you gotta pay to park.
Christy
Oh.
Josh
To get out and get coffee.
Christy
Don't you have the app?
Bob
Yeah, that and it's.
Christy
You go to the meter and there's still time on it.
Bob
No, no, no. You just. Do you wanna. You want to do the app thing do or just want to go in and see if you can get away?
Pat
I'll risk the 20 ticket if I don't have time because that's how much it costs.
Christy
Yeah.
Tom
So this is a meter situation.
Christy
Yeah, it's a meter situation. Yeah.
Bob
Only once.
Christy
Oh, and didn't. They didn't write you the ticket because they knew who you were.
Bob
I know. Well, Tom bribes.
Tom
Bribes police officers with his face.
Bob
Yeah, no doubt about it. It's kind of a nice challenge.
Tom
That is a fun challenge. Yeah. A little thrill.
Christy
Yeah, yeah.
Bob
Can I go in there for 10 minutes? Can I go in there for 10 minutes? You know, get.
Josh
Is this you talking to the policeman?
Bob
No, no, no. Dude, they have those, all those numbered meters.
Christy
Sure.
Bob
And often the whatever the radar doesn't. Well, I don't know what's going on. It doesn't work right away. So what the hell, I'm going to take a chance and go in and it just makes it that much more dangerous.
Josh
Yeah.
Pat
You scan the area for the meter maid and just dash in.
Bob
Yeah. Okay.
Christy
I don't know how to do that, but I know how to just use the app. It takes two seconds. You pull up.
Tom
What do you call a male meter maid?
Josh
A meter of a meter man.
Tom
Would it be a meterman meter man?
Josh
You know there's an app, is there an app in San Francisco that you can sell your parking space? If you know you're leaving, you can put it up on.
Christy
Probably put it on an app and.
Josh
Go, this location is. I'm going to be leaving here. And you give them a couple bucks for telling you about the space and then you leave when they show up.
Tom
Wow.
Bob
How much are the parking space?
Christy
Well, if it's worth San Francisco, probably a lot.
Josh
Hard to come by too. Yeah.
Bob
What else you got, Christy?
Christy
An international team of researchers has discovered seven new species of tree frogs in Madagascar.
Tom
Oh, okay.
Josh
Seven.
Christy
Seven. The frogs all make a high pitched whistling call that sounds like something from Star Trek. According to this story, the newly discovered species emit special bird like whistling sounds known as advertisement.
Bob
Okay, now I'm going to play this.
Tom
The frogs whistle.
Bob
The last time I played this you got really mad.
Josh
Oh, this from yesterday. No, don't play it.
Bob
I'm going to play it real low. Okay, here we go.
Christy
Oh, that does sound like Star Trek.
Bob
It does.
Christy
A type of self promotion that may communicate a male frog.
Bob
It hurts my ears.
Tom
I really enjoy it.
Christy
Suitability as a mate to females. I hope the female is deaf. No, I'm just kidding. That would be awful.
Josh
Are you talking to me?
Bob
Yeah.
Christy
The calls reminded researchers of the whistle like sound effects used in the Star Trek series which fans have known as the so called botswain whistle and a device called the tricorder. Research leader Professor Miguel Venzes says that's why we named the frogs after Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, Archer Berman.
Tom
We get it? You're a dork.
Josh
Yeah, yeah. Up to our necks and dorks.
Bob
Got it.
Christy
Apparently, some of the most iconic captains from the sci Fi series. I know. Picard and Kirk. That's the only two I know. What did I miss?
Bob
Damn it, Jim. I'm a frog, not a phaser. Get your hands off me, you.
Josh
I think Janeway's Kate Mul. Grew. Right? And I think a uriner.
Christy
Uriner. Archer, Burnham and Pike.
Josh
Pike was the first captain before Cur.
Christy
Oh, is he the guy that was just the head in one of the episodes?
Bob
Yes.
Josh
He rolled around in a small freezer, right?
Tom
Yeah. Something odd.
Christy
Yeah, yeah, it was crazy.
Bob
Time now to move forward here.
Christy
Hell, it's our history lesson.
Bob
History in the world of history.
Josh
Time now for our history lesson in the world of history.
Tom
Just. Just so loud. I.
Christy
How you complained when Ace did it.
Tom
You know what, you guys.
Christy
Yeah.
Tom
I'm sorry. Ace, will you do your impression of J.
Josh
Okay. This isn't. I don't have a button for that. That bank.
Tom
Well, somehow you just.
Bob
You mean that one?
Pat
It's literally the first button.
Christy
You mean the first button.
Bob
All right, we get it.
Christy
Knock it off, Tom.
Bob
Let's do some birthdays. Happy birthday, Chuck.
Josh
Oh, it's sticky.
Bob
Okay, it's gonna be a lot stickier.
Josh
Shut your hole.
Bob
To 1926, the birthday of the great Chuck Berry. If you know much about him, you.
Christy
Don'T want to know a lot about him.
Bob
His middle name was a Dingle.
Pat
Oh, is he the glass table guy?
Tom
No, he was of a similar ilk.
Christy
He liked people in the bathroom up there.
Bob
Apparently a dump. Ch was the. He inspired a lot of people. Elvis R. Kelly, Gary Glitter. The man was a genius. Happy birthday, George C. Scott. I.
Tom
One of my favorite actors.
Bob
That's a sentence. George C. Scott.
Tom
Scott.
Bob
Scott. Run. George C. Scott.
Josh
You haven't seen Josh. If you haven't seen him in Dr. Strangelove, what's your problem? What are you.
Tom
What are you doing?
Josh
What are you even doing?
Bob
Go watch it now, Oren. He's great in the movie Hardcore.
Christy
Yes.
Bob
No, he's starring Big Dick Black.
Josh
Go watch.
Christopher
All right.
Pat
Starring who?
Christy
Big Dick Black.
Tom
The changeling for Halloween.
Pat
Y'all said it.
Josh
The Changeling.
Tom
It's very good.
Bob
Happy birthday to Peter Boyle. Another great actor from Young Frankenstein, putting on the Ritz. And of course, Everybody Loves Raymond.
Josh
Ah.
Bob
Peter Boyle. Sometimes Peter Bake. Sometimes Peter Fry.
Tom
George C. Scott. Peter Boyle.
Bob
Peter.
Tom
Stephen Fry.
Bob
Peter Microwave.
Tom
Stephen Fry. Peter Boyle.
Josh
What are you trying to do?
Bob
Names that are sentences that's the second one.
Josh
Well, stop.
Bob
We had see George, he can see Scott. And now Peter can. Boyle.
Tom
Peter Boyle. Stephen Fry. Peter Cook.
Bob
Chick wine. Dudley Moore. Okay. Oh, I'm not gonna do that one. Happy Birthday. Which one? Didn't you do that?
Josh
You think nobody knows anything about it?
Bob
Lee Oswald.
Christy
Yeah, everybody knows Lee Oswald.
Josh
What's wrong with that?
Tom
He did the world a favor.
Bob
Nickname is. No, his nickname in high school, ironically, was Patsy. What?
Christy
Patsy Oswald.
Bob
It's a reference to the movie JFK and the ridiculous theory of Absolutely the.
Tom
Slightest bit of research.
Bob
Happy birthday, 1939. Mike Ditka. A lot of big fans of Mr. Ditka.
Tom
Yeah, sure.

Josh
The head coach. That's right.
Bob
The famous super. Who was saying that the Super Bowl Shuffle was a good 85.
Tom
I liked it and Ace liked it.
Christy
Yeah. Came out in 85.
Bob
Energy to it.
Christy
Yeah, it was a big hit. Sure.
Bob
Okay. Jean Claude Van Damme.
Josh
Oh, that was Jean Claude Keeley.
Bob
Great action.
Christy
He was a ski.
Josh
Great actor.
Tom
What's your favorite Van Damme movie?
Josh
Not that. Stevens to Go. Oh, that's the one where he beats up somebody. Oh, yeah, the Time Cop.
Tom
Oh, you like Time Cop. Yeah.
Josh
Somebody redid Time Cop, didn't they? And it was better. What was it?
Tom
I don't know.
Josh
Was it short scenario?
Tom
Nope.
Bob
Yes.
Josh
Excuse me. Trying to start a conversation with a fellow human.
Bob
Well, it was exciting, whatever it was.
Josh

Happy birthday, Lindsay Vaughn.
Josh

Bob

Tom
But is that the remake of Time?
Christy
It's not good.
Pat
Not good?
Christy
No.
Bob
Okay, here's a good one for you. 1952, on this date, the 18th of October, the first issue ever of Mad magazine.
Christy
Oh, there you go.
Tom
We wouldn't have. And more.
Bob
That pull out was genius. Was it?
Christy
Are you guys making fun of our boss?
Josh
No.
Bob
Was it a horror magazine in the beginning?
Josh
Tales to drive you mad?
Tom
No, but it was part of the EC family.
Bob
The horror magazines.
Tom
Yeah.
Bob
Okay. That's horror.
Christy
I. I appreciate that. We got that.
Bob
Yeah. This, of course, is the most important one. In 1961, Ms. Hooker.
Pat
Yeah.
Bob
It's quiz time. Take your finger out of your mouth and stop eyeing me.
Christy
Oh, God.
Josh
Wow.
Tom
Quit trying to seduce Tom.
Christy
Nobody saw that coming.
Bob
Oh, yeah. Nobody saw that coming.

Josh
Her name's a sentence.
Bob
Actually, it is.
Pat
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tom
Her nickname was Drift.
Bob
Natalie Wood. Ironically, wood floats.

Wood floats.
Josh
Luckily, no.
Bob
Wood floats. Natalie, don't.
Christy
No.
Bob
You know who played Tony?
Pat
No.
Bob
Riff?
Tom
No.
Christy

Josh
Than that, but, dude, I bought it.
Bob
For 200 million and sold it for 6 billion. Like, what the heck?
