Chick McGee
And Fred Johnson finishes a disappointing fourth in the 100 yard dash.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Fred. What happened back there, man? You used to always beat me. What's up?
Chick McGee
My trainer says it's excess gas.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Chick McGee
Yeah, he says I'm bloated with excess.
Tom Griswold
Gas and that's slowing me down. Here, try one of these. See if this will make a difference.
Chick McGee
What is it?
Tom Griswold
It's a Fartright anal strip. Oh yeah. Everyone has heard about the nasal strips that athletes wear to allow them to get enough air. But did you know that it's just as important for an athlete to discharge a sufficient amount of gas? That's why Frigateball Industries developed the Fartright anal strip. Simply drop your drawers, pull out the a adhesive bandage looking device and stick it to your buttocks. The Fartright anal strip pulls your cheeks apart to create an optimum air passageway. Wearing a Fartright anal strip can make a world of difference in your performance.
Josh Arnold
A few days later.
Tom Griswold
Okay, Fred, I'm gonna take you down again today, man. I don't think so, Bill.
Chick McGee
Not this time.
Tom Griswold
I'm wearing a fart right. Anal strip.
Pat Godwin
On your mark.
Chick McGee
Get.
Christy Lee
Come on.
Chick McGee
Come on. Do your stuff.
Christy Lee
Come on, come on.
Tom Griswold
Do your stuff.
Chick McGee
And the winner is Fred Johnson. Hey, hey. Great race, Fred.
Tom Griswold
Hey, look, you cut 3/10 of a second off your personal best.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, I cut More than that, thanks to you. And Fart Right Anal strips.

Chick McGee
He lines up the putt.
Tom Griswold
And that one appears to be breaking our way. It's.
Chick McGee
Oh, it's pirate. It's coming our way.
Tom Griswold
Pirate. Take it away, please. David. Weightlifting. He's trying to lift £800. Let's watch him. Listen. He's done it. A new record for the deadlift.
Christy Lee
More like something crawled up inside him and died. Lift.
Tom Griswold
They ought to outlaw these.
Christy Lee
Fart Right Anal strips.
Tom Griswold
Help you to put underachieving behind you. Fart Right Anal strips. Available at small, Medium and JLo.
Chick McGee
Yes, that music tells us that. Kind of sleepy, actually. I mean, it's the Bob and Tom Show. Yes. Well, you must get used to getting up so early. No, never happened.
Tom Griswold
You should get that printed on a card.
Chick McGee
Yeah. What time you get up? Well, you're probably used to it. No, no, no. Never do. Christy Lee at the Silac Insurance news desk.
Al Jackson
Howdy.
Chick McGee
Rocking the ascot again. Very nice. There's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey, Chick.
Chick McGee
There's Josh Arnold.
Christy Lee
Hi, Chick.
Chick McGee
He's at the I Hate Stephen Singer Sidekick chair. I'm Chick McGee. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. And Tom, enjoying a delicious. What are you having from Java House this morning?
Tom Griswold
Oh, this is black tea.
Chick McGee
Black tea.
Tom Griswold
It's delicious. Thank you very much.
Chick McGee
Anything like Texas tea?
Al Jackson
We are on the same wavelength. I was thinking that same area.
Tom Griswold
Texas tea. Oh, from the Beverly Hillbillies. One of the great shows.
Chick McGee
First thing. You know Old Jed's Millionaire. Oh, no.
Tom Griswold
The next thing Kin folk said, move away from there. California is the place you ought to be. So they loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverly Hills.
Chick McGee
That is.
Al Jackson
That color on you is spectacular. You should wear that more often.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Al Jackson
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Honestly.
Chick McGee
Right.
Tom Griswold
I don't. This is. I'm. All my stuff's at the laundry.
Al Jackson
No, that looks very nice.
Christy Lee
You rarely see men in that color.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah, I know. It's a bold choice. It is bold when you have the kind of hyper masculinity that I dangle.
Christy Lee
Right.
Tom Griswold
You can get away.
Al Jackson
Yeah, but I try to be nice.
Chick McGee
Nice, Even. Hyper masculinity. You still look like a fairy.
Tom Griswold
Okay. As. As Rato Riza would say. No, no, Rato Rizzo.
Joe Theisman
I know.
Tom Griswold
That's a Midnight Cowboy reference. Thank you.
Al Jackson
Did you just see that again? You brought that up twice today.
Tom Griswold
No, it's just one of the. That's one of those movies. Certain lines stick in my head. I'm walking here.
Chick McGee
Tom did the famous walking around the studio here before he. We went on the air. He's making helpful hints to people he.
Pat Godwin
Was making fun of.
Chick McGee
Bitching at Pat about how many things he has in a drawer over here.
Tom Griswold
Pat has this little teeny drawer. It's about a quarter inch thick. And he's delicately arranging his cough drops. Anyone? Anyone? This thing is this. It wouldn't hold a deck of cards.
Chick McGee
How many drawers do you have? But you have manly drawers is what your point was.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I've got like 12. I've got shelves, drawers. What do you need? I got it over here.
Al Jackson
He does. He is very useful.
Chick McGee
All I need is my Gaviscon and my eye drops and.
Tom Griswold
I'm sorry, I've got eye drops. I've got. I've got stuff for your belly. I've got all kinds of stuff. All right, sticks.
Al Jackson
He has.
Tom Griswold
I've got floss sticks.
Pat Godwin
Q tips.
Tom Griswold
Q tips stuff.
Chick McGee
Phillips over there.
Tom Griswold
No, I have two different kinds of scissors. Three different kinds of scissors.
Chick McGee
Three different kinds.
Tom Griswold
L wrench.
Pat Godwin
You have an L wrench?
Tom Griswold
I got pretty much everything. These are my heavy duty scissors for cutting into plastic. When you get plastic stuff, you can't open some of those.
Chick McGee
You got a quarter inch over there. Quarter inch socket.
Tom Griswold
No, I've got that.
Christy Lee
Oh, you can't go out.
Chick McGee
You gotta have a quarter inch socket.
Tom Griswold
I've got backup sun, a backup reading glasses for pad.
Pat Godwin
You have a spill proof level area.
Al Jackson
I do have a sippy cup.
Tom Griswold
Very funny. Every time I made a spill on.
Chick McGee
My birthday to this day, every time I go to the hardware store, I get a package of drill driver bits. I don't know why, but I always do.
Christy Lee
Just like buying them.
Chick McGee
Just like buying them. I bet I have a hundred. Wow.
Tom Griswold
I bet I have six sets of Allen wrenches going from the teeny tiniest to the largest.
Chick McGee
Oh, that's the way they are packaged. Yes.
Tom Griswold
But I mean I. It's one of those things you end up having more than you need.
Christy Lee
Oh, you save them when you put together a.
Tom Griswold
No, I just.
Christy Lee
When they come with them.
Al Jackson
Yeah, you buy the whole thing.
Tom Griswold
You get those cheesy, those cheesy little wrenches and you got to put a bed together.
Chick McGee
Have we done anything about Alan, by the way? And he seemed like a troublemaker to come up with a screws and then Specific wrenches for his screw.
Tom Griswold
But that's the worst is when you buy something to put together and they have their own special. Special screw and you've got to have their special thing.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Christy Lee
I take the little thing, the little plastic pouch that those come in, and I staple or tape them somewhere onto the piece of furniture just in case. Well, that's a good back.
Tom Griswold
Or like having extra.
Pat Godwin
Great idea.
Tom Griswold
Like having extra buttons on your shirt. Yes.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
I don't know what it is about you telling me that, but I want to punch you.
Christy Lee
Oh, is that an annoying like.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah. Because you're organized and an adult.
Christy Lee
And one day I went, yeah, I'm just gonna do this.
Al Jackson
You see, I throw it them in a drawer.
Christy Lee
They always give you a little. A couple extra. Yeah.
Chick McGee
My scale continues to be. I know I'm an adult when I know where my raincoat is if it's raining.
Christy Lee
Oh, see, I don't have a raincoat.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah.
Christy Lee
You know, you have to have a fishing rain thing.
Tom Griswold
But do you have an umbrella?
Christy Lee
I do, yes.
Chick McGee
I don't have an umbrella.
Al Jackson
You have a nice male trench coat.
Christy Lee
I don't. I should get one.
Al Jackson
Yes, A nice Burberry. Very nice.
Christy Lee
That sounds too nice.
Chick McGee
I'd like one of those coats that neo worn. The matrix. Well, they all wore matrix.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Floor.
Al Jackson
Right.
Chick McGee
Like shin length.
Christy Lee
Those are cool.
Al Jackson
How about a London?
Tom Griswold
Like a. Is it like a duster?
Chick McGee
Yes, I think it is called a duster.
Al Jackson
You're right.
Chick McGee
So I every now I'll come into studio and I'll whip around and my. And my coat, it has to be a black.
Tom Griswold
What was the. What was the western that had all the brothers in it?
Christy Lee
All the Long Riders.
Tom Griswold
Yes, the Long Riders. Yeah.
Christy Lee
The Keeches and the James and Stacy keys.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Quaid's.
Pat Godwin
The Osmonds were in it.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Casting chairs.
Chick McGee
Marilyn, Donnie. Yeah.
Christy Lee
And then the Olsens.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Yeah. That was weird.
Tom Griswold
Well, they were Miss Kitties. Really.
Chick McGee
No, they ran the whorehouse.
Christy Lee
Yeah, right.
Tom Griswold
You know something I'd watch now.
Pat Godwin
I'll take the thing.
Tom Griswold
Well, once they hit 17 or. What? What's the.
Christy Lee
Oh, they've got to be what, 28 now or something.
Tom Griswold
No, but I mean, they're way older than that.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah, no, I know what you.
Chick McGee
Mean, but that one. Olsen is their sister.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Chick McGee
From the Marvel movies.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Elizabeth Olsen.
Chick McGee
Yeah. She plays a witch or something. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I see. Well, now we have fascinating things happening in the world. I'm very excited about lots of stuff.
Chick McGee
He's excited. He's discombobulated.
Tom Griswold
No, no, I'm combobulated.
Chick McGee
You are?
Tom Griswold
That's possible. We've got a number of letters from the Idaho letters keep coming. I'm not sure why, but they are.
Al Jackson
State of the week.
Tom Griswold
You know something? I think they are.
Pat Godwin
What a great state.
Tom Griswold
Idaho state.
Al Jackson
Wonderful state.
Chick McGee
Crisp, air, clean.
Al Jackson
My favorite places.
Pat Godwin
You don't have to pump your own.
Chick McGee
Gas if anybody wants to give me. I think.
Al Jackson
Oh, that's Oregon.
Chick McGee
It's Oregon.
Pat Godwin
Oh, right. Darn.
Chick McGee
Well. So why'd you move here, Pat? Well, you don't have to pump your son.
Tom Griswold
Did New Jersey finally come around?
Pat Godwin
No, there's. You have to pump your. They. They bump it. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Really? Well, that's got to be some kind of.
Chick McGee
I'm telling you. We went to Oregon for shows and it's changed. But they're.
Tom Griswold
It.
Chick McGee
They're gangs of toughs at the gas station. They're on top of it and they're. You pull in and they're just like. There are four or five of them picking their teeth as you get out. They go, hey, I'll. I'll take care of that for you. Just leave your. Leave your card on deceit. I'll get it for you.
Tom Griswold
You tip.
Chick McGee
I did not in this case. Maybe. I mean, I guess I should have. Yeah, maybe so tip the guy who.
Al Jackson
Puts gas in your car.
Pat Godwin
I don't think.
Christy Lee
I think it's a fair question.
Chick McGee
I think you do because.
Tom Griswold
I don't mean because I haven't. I mean, I can't remember the last time I didn't do it myself. You can do it yourself in every state except for what 2.
Al Jackson
Oregon and New Jersey, but you're forced to do it there.
Tom Griswold
I thought New Jersey changed.
Chick McGee
I think Oregon changed. Changed. New Jersey still does.
Tom Griswold
I think.
Al Jackson
Yeah. I guess I could ask this fabulous little something.
Christy Lee
And that is what you do. I had to leave. They were like, just leave your credit card on the seats.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
The whole system.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Al Jackson
That seems not.
Chick McGee
Of course.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
You have a lot of charges.
Tom Griswold
What legislator is getting money in his pocket for that man? Yeah. Who's. Who has a new boat every. Every year because of that legislation.
Chick McGee
I also took a picture of the front and the back of your car just in case, you know.
Christy Lee
Just in case for what?
Chick McGee
No, you might lose your car. Then you could still come in and get gas. Isn't that conven it.
Christy Lee
I don't know that this is.
Chick McGee
Hey, shut your mouth. Huh?
Tom Griswold
We have. Sorry. That's the way it was coming up. We have a.
Al Jackson
Interesting Oregon recently Lifted its ban. New Jersey, only state where it's illegal to pump your own gas.
Tom Griswold
That sounds, that's kind of on the nose in terms of corruption.
Chick McGee
Illegal.
Al Jackson
While there have been attempts to allow self service in New Jersey, they have not been successful.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, the people who voted to keep it that way, I'd like the like to review their tax return. Do you report the bag of money you get from whatever lobby? Yeah.
Christy Lee
What is happening?
Chick McGee
Tom Griswold thinks we should pump our own gas. I don't think so. Keep New Jersey new.
Tom Griswold
Coming up we have some great letters but we also have a topic that's interesting about airplane etiquette. And one of the big problems that people complain about involves people not wearing earbuds. Ergo.
Chick McGee
Is that right?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Al Jackson
We need Raycons.
Chick McGee
Well here's your chance to upgrade to Raycon everyday earbuds because chances are Raycons are better than the earbuds that are in your ears right now. And Raycon's latest model, better than ever. 32 hour battery life, multi point connectivity, lets you pair with two devices at once. And mom, they'll make a perfect gift for her.
Tom Griswold
Can I interrupt for just a second?
Chick McGee
Go right ahead.
Tom Griswold
Last time I was on an airplane the person like two seats in front of me lost their. They had those apple earbuds that fall out constantly.
Pat Godwin
Oh yeah.
Tom Griswold
So we're in the plane, everyone's down in their hands and he's trying to find their apple earbud. That will not happen with the Raycons because they're designed to stay in your ear.
Chick McGee
What a concept. They stay in your ear, they cost.
Tom Griswold
Less than half as much and it's.
Chick McGee
A great gift for mom. And the quick charge function with Raycon. 10 minutes of charging, 90 minutes of battery life and active noise cancellation. Plus we have a deal for you. Get 20% off site wide. Tom Griswold
The show in the news.
Christy Lee
Everything okay?
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Okay.
Christy Lee
Oh, I'm sorry, we have some irresponsible friends. That's why I'm here.
Tom Griswold
Wow. Do we ever.
Al Jackson
And we do have a letter from someone who has maybe a solution for your spill problem.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Chick McGee
Your what problem?
Tom Griswold
Spill.
Al Jackson
His spill problem.

Chick McGee
Coming up later this morning, we'll talk with Al Jackson and also NFL mvp, former super bowl winning quarterback Joe Theisman because tonight, that's right, it's the NFL draft. We'll take a look at the draft and that's.
Christy Lee
That tune sounds so much so similar to my Hard Boiled Egg Maker. When, when it's done.
Chick McGee
No kidding.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
You start to salivate a little bit.
Christy Lee
Yeah, I am. I'm getting some Pavlovian. Oh, eggs.
Chick McGee
I, I'm kidding you. I'm not. They have a documentary like albeit 15 minutes or so about how they came up with the draft chime.
Christy Lee
It's very pleasant and it's pleasant and it also like you can't ignore it.
Chick McGee
There's there. Yeah. They needed something in the background because they realized people watch the draft but it's on in the background.
Christy Lee
It grabs your attention and then.
Tom Griswold
So what does that mean?
Chick McGee
This means there's the pick is in at number one. The Tennessee Titans take Cam Ward, the only quarterback named after a car part.
Pat Godwin
And that's the real. That's the real sound.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Oh, I thought you were joking us yesterday.
Chick McGee
Oh, okay. No, well, we could do this. The pick is in. It's Cam War. Oh, no. Tyrod Taylor is also a quarterback.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah, sure. The deal tie rod.
Chick McGee
I'm sorry.
Tom Griswold
We always go through this football.
Chick McGee
Cam Ward's brand new though, so he's also.
Tom Griswold
This is new players who are also the names of auto cars. Okay, good, good, good. Lots and lots of letters here. We need to get to.
Chick McGee
I got one from Columbus, Ohio. Can you believe it? Finally, Ohio proudly standing up. Dear Bob, a town. I'm a longtime listener from Columbus, Ohio and a native. I work for a well known company based out of Columbus and trust me, you know the jingle.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Chick McGee
I can't figure it out other than Nationwide insurance could be it. Nationwide isn't.
Tom Griswold
That's a good one.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Our homepage just posted an article about a brand new commercial we're rolling out featuring, say, Quan Barkley. As a devout listener, if this commercial topic comes up in meetings, I follow through.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
With the required response.
Tom Griswold
Sure.
Chick McGee
However, if this leads to me, my firing, please let me know how I can submit a resume to your show.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Thank you.
Chick McGee
That's from Katie in Columbus.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Now we switch states, we go to Idaho and we've been receiving, for some reason, lots and lots of Idaho letters.
Chick McGee
Idaho's hot.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Which is great. And there is a place in Idaho known as Athol.
Al Jackson
Yep.
Tom Griswold
A T H O L. There is no high school located in Athol. Oh, elementary school only. The population of Athol, according to randy, is approximately 800.
Al Jackson
Sounds lovely.
Tom Griswold
Timberlake middle and high schools are located in nearby Spirit Lake, Idaho.
Al Jackson
That sounds so beautiful. Doesn't it?
Tom Griswold
However, and this is a nice cool thing here. Magoo's M A G O O Z. Magoo's Customs is an award winning hot rod shop. And this is accompanied by a. An incredibly cool looking hot rod.
Chick McGee
If they don't have Mr. Magoo and his jalopy as their logo, what are they doing?
Tom Griswold
Also, when you go to Athol, I recommend the Grey Goose restaurant.
Al Jackson
All right, these are.
Tom Griswold
This is all good to know.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Al Jackson
We need to do a road trip now.
Tom Griswold
This is from. That was from Randy. This is from Richard, also in Idaho. Yeah. He goes, I heard you talking about the town of Atholic the other day. This is Mr. Donovan writing. He says, I live close to a tiny town in Wisconsin. Sorry, I really should proofread. Yeah. Called Athol Stain.
Al Jackson
No way.
Chick McGee
A T H O L E. Stainless.
Tom Griswold
S T A N E. Wow. So I asked you to wear your pajama bottoms to bed, honey.
Christy Lee
Now look at the bed.
Tom Griswold
When you look at the sheet, there's an ass.
Chick McGee
Here's every city council meeting. All right, we know you want to change the name. Let's just table it till next meeting, all right?
Tom Griswold
Okay. Who says Butthole Stain?
Christy Lee
Can we at least go with Skid Mark Wisconsin?
Tom Griswold
Thank you very much. Christy, do you have a letter? I see you.
Al Jackson
I do. This is actually for you, but he handed it to me. To read. This is from Name withheld for my safety.
Pat Godwin
Oh, I know.
Al Jackson
I so enjoyed yesterday's show when you spilled your drink all over your lap, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Thank you.
Al Jackson
You're almost as bad as knocking over drinks as my wife. The kids keep plastic wine glasses around now so she doesn't break any of the good glasses.
Christy Lee
You know, I don't think your wife has a problem. Your wife doesn't have a spilling problem.
Chick McGee
Absolutely.
Al Jackson
Something for you to look for. Last year for Christmas, our son gave us a pair of cups made by toadfish. They're awesome. You can't knock them over. You have to pick them straight up or the cup will not move. Eliminate one way of getting your pants wet.
Christy Lee
Interesting.
Al Jackson
My wife still has a problem with missing her mouth though, when she drinks.
Christy Lee
Well, I bet. I bet you Mrs. PTS work a couple times.
Tom Griswold
Maybe she should start missing those AA meetings. No, I. I at least spilled a non. A non liquor infused drink.
Al Jackson
I looked these cups up. They are pretty cool. I mean, they, they. You can't knock them over.
Christy Lee
Interesting.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Okay. I've got a nice letter from Jamie in Salem, Ohio. Dear Bob and Tom Show.
Chick McGee
Is she crying?
Christy Lee
Jamie's crying.
Tom Griswold
God, I hate that. I wanted to make a big shout out to Stephen Singer. Writes Jamie, art of the 24 karat gold rose. The blue moon rose for my mom for Mother's Day. It came promptly. It's gorgeous. Thank you for the recommendation. Well, Jamie, how nice of you.
Chick McGee
Came promptly.
Al Jackson
Yes.
Christy Lee
Oh, promptly. I thought he said probably. He was just guessing.
Tom Griswold
I certainly would read that. Hey, buy one of these. Odds are you'll get it.
Chick McGee
Dear Bob and Tom.
Tom Griswold
Right. I'm sorry, Stephen.
Chick McGee
My dad and his friends would go bear hunting in northern Minnesota.
Tom Griswold
Wow.
Chick McGee
This is Pat from Rochester, New York. Or Rochester, Minnesota. I'm not sure. My dad made his first bear into a rug and hung it above the couch. For years, his friend made a rug out of the largest black bear they'd ever seen. It weighed 440 pounds, 17 inches between the ears and the paws, a foot across. They put it on an eight foot wall and they had to attach one front paw to the ceiling and the other was laying on the floor.
Christy Lee
Whoa.
Chick McGee
It. Yes, that's right. A ten foot reach.
Al Jackson
Wow.
Chick McGee
When were we? Oh, you were.
Tom Griswold
Some guy in Connecticut was fined because.
Chick McGee
He shot a bear in his pajamas.
Al Jackson
It had been in his garage and then ran up a tree. But he wouldn't back down. But he invoked shot at it and.
Tom Griswold
His wife said the bear was two feet from his kids. I don't see what's wrong with it.
Chick McGee
But she invoked the children, and.
Christy Lee
The man hates animals. I think it's clear.
Chick McGee
Oh, absolutely. It was a bear. Hey, what. Hey, hang on. What is he, a dentist? Thank you very much. Thank you.
Al Jackson
Bears are cute, aren't they?
Tom Griswold
Josh, if you're just joining us. Thank you for joining us. This is the Babatom Program coming to you from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Yesterday, I believe Christy was speculating about the existence of an app that would identify bird sounds.
Al Jackson
I downloaded it and I used it last evening.
Pat Godwin
Did it work?
Al Jackson
The Merlin app? Yes.
Chick McGee
I get a lot of this.
Al Jackson
I have redheaded woodpeckers.
Chick McGee
Hi, everybody.
Al Jackson
I have cardinals and some kind of finch boy.
Christy Lee
Andy, you're trying to introduce yourself. She won't even stop.
Chick McGee
She won't stop. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Can't even say hi. Here's.
Chick McGee
Here's the latest thing. Just out in the backyard, standing there with her phone. But I go, you know, at least it's quiet inside.
Tom Griswold
Tried locking the doors, but she drags you with you.
Chick McGee
She keeps changing all the locks.
Tom Griswold
Okay, so you did get the app?
Al Jackson
I did.
Tom Griswold
All right. That's cool.
Al Jackson
It's cool. It is kind of fun.
Chick McGee
Have you used the plant one?
Pat Godwin
That's a great.
Chick McGee
That's crazy.
Christy Lee
Mine doesn't work.
Chick McGee
You take a picture of a leaf.
Christy Lee
And I put it next to it, and I let the phone hear the sound of the plant, and it does not tell me what it is.
Pat Godwin
Interesting.
Christy Lee
Yeah, it's infuriating.
Tom Griswold
See, I'm not aware of the plant one. What is this?
Chick McGee
Oh, you just take a picture of the leaf and it spits.
Christy Lee
Oh, you take a picture.
Chick McGee
Yeah, you take a picture.
Al Jackson
Tells you what?
Pat Godwin
You tell you how to water it.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Not based on.
Tom Griswold
Not based on Sativa is the answer with respect to the the sound of birds. I like to feature the following. And now another episode of Bird Watching with the Kevoyans Titmouse Talk. On the next Bird Watching with the Gavoyans Swallow talk. Remember what we always say. Bird watching is a flocking good time. There you go.
Al Jackson
I didn't bring it up, but my initial sound recording said it was a titmouse. But I looked up titmouse tit mouses. They're not native to our part of the world.
Christy Lee
Maybe they're on their way through.
Al Jackson
Maybe.
Tom Griswold
I know that in the. In the neighborhood you live in, there are a lot of fake titmouses. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Enhance.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. So a lot of nice, nice, nice yoga pants. Ozempic chewing titmouses is the. Is the. What is the plural of titmouse?
Christy Lee
That's a good question.
Tom Griswold
Titmice. Well, because the plural of this thing, the gizmo that attaches to your computer, the plural of that is mouses.
Christy Lee
Right.
Chick McGee
Are you sure? I thought was just mouse. You have many mouse.
Tom Griswold
Oh, no, it's like. It's like deer.
Chick McGee
I think so.
Christy Lee
Oh, you know, that might be a. Look at that flock of titmouse.
Chick McGee
I think that that's what titmouse is.
Christy Lee
Maybe you're not gonna go tit mice?
Al Jackson
No, they're very cute bird. I'd like to see.
Tom Griswold
It is a flock.
Christy Lee
It could be a set or a twins.
Tom Griswold
A jiggle. Yeah, I think it's a jiggle of. A jiggle of titmouse.
Chick McGee
A bouncy bouncy.
Tom Griswold
Hi, welcome to the fifth grade. We're gonna graduate and be sixth graders next year on our show.
Chick McGee
I hope not.
Tom Griswold
This is the reason I played this. Darren kind enough to write Bob and Tom. And he writes a Dear Bob and Tom Show. I wonder if the sound Christie is hearing is one of Bob's famous bird calls.
Al Jackson
Oh, yeah.
Tom Griswold
We'll have to see if we can dig up the classics. I just spoke to Bob the other day. He was not bird watching.
Al Jackson
Oh, he was doing just fine.
Tom Griswold
Let's see. We can't read that one.
Christy Lee
We were talking about liquor names because it was Shirley Temple's birthday or something, right?
Tom Griswold
We were asking about drinks like the Arnold Palmer or the Shirley Temple. What was the other one?
Christy Lee
Oh, the Tom Collins, the Rob Roy, the Harvey Wallbanger. And there was some argument as to whether or not that was an actual individual. Well, Dennis writes and he says a little known fact. Harvey Wallbanger was a real person.
Chick McGee
Huh?
Christy Lee
He invented. This is Harvey Wallbanger. He invented the Glory Hole.
Tom Griswold
I. You know what? At first I thought I.
Christy Lee
It.
Tom Griswold
I was thinking, don't read this. That.
Christy Lee
No.
Tom Griswold
Yes. That is. That is a solid joke.
Chick McGee
I thought you were gonna go.
Tom Griswold
Who's that from?
Christy Lee
Dennis.
Chick McGee
Oh, thank you, Dennis. Right straight at it. He invented up against the Wall sex. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Well, that's good. Oh, here we go. Noah kind enough to write Dear Bob and Tom Show.
Chick McGee
How's the arc coming by?
Tom Griswold
When talking about drinks named after people, I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Bill Cosby.
Christy Lee
Well, for good reason.
Tom Griswold
And he drank plus Quaaludes. Thank you. Thank you, Noah.
Chick McGee
Hey. This is from Alan. Now you guys be the judge here. I'm just offering evidence, okay? I can't. I came to my own conclusion. See what you do. While driving to work today, a Canada goose was crossing the road and I had to stop and wait.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Chick McGee
All I could picture was Christie on my left shoulder dressed as an angel, telling me it was good to stop and be patient. On my other shoulder was Chick as the devil saying, don't stop. You know, the agreement with the gig. All the while Josh is in my back seat laughing at how entitled the goose is. I think he listens to the show too much. That's Alan from Idaho. Ohio, actually.
Christy Lee
I laugh every time.
Tom Griswold
And between where we are broadcasting from right now and our other studio, there.
Chick McGee
Are a thousand geese.
Tom Griswold
There is a spot.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
You take that right turn and they're.
Al Jackson
Always right there, that lake in front of the apartment.
Tom Griswold
But we.
Pat Godwin
Exactly right.
Tom Griswold
This is. We need a signal because I was there the other day, goose crossing, and I'm behind the guy. There's a car in front of me, the geese are crossing, but the guy behind me can't see it and he's losing his mind. We need to have some kind of thing going. Hey, this is why I'm stopped. Yeah, this is why. The idea of having license plates, that is all. That are also your cell phone number.
Al Jackson
Have a reader board or something.
Pat Godwin
I love that idea.
Tom Griswold
You could call up. Hey, the guy behind you. Oh, yeah. Can you give him the signal? That. That'd be really handy.
Chick McGee
Or there should be more than one horn choice.
Tom Griswold
I've always said that.
Chick McGee
Yeah. The delightful beep, an audio clearing of the throat.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Maybe this is the shortest left turn signal in Western civilization. Could you stop reading your text and turn.
Pat Godwin
Get off your phone and go.
Al Jackson
Two cars get through. Yes, I know. We were talking.
Tom Griswold
Oh, there we go. If you'd like to write us, it's pretty simple. Bob and tom@bobandtom.com we love hearing from you. Whatever state you're in. Be it Ohio, Wisconsin, Idaho, Michigan. This is from April in Wisconsin.
Al Jackson
Hi, April.
Christy Lee
It's April everywhere.
Chick McGee
April in Wisconsin. But it's not like Wisconsin.
Tom Griswold
You know something? Oh, you're correct.
Chick McGee
You're correct. Save all my wrenches and bolts.
Pat Godwin
Put them in a little bag.
Chick McGee
Yeah, the wrong way, apparently.
Pat Godwin
Anyone need a bolt?
Chick McGee
I tape it to the bottom of the table. Or whatever I'm working on.
Christy Lee
Have your drawers full of Willy nilly tools.
Tom Griswold
This is actually going to lead to a song from Pat, so.
Christy Lee
So skip it.
Tom Griswold
Oh, we were. When I was a kid, we were dying Easter eggs at my grandparents. For some reason my uncle thought it would be funny to put an egg into a paper Towel tube. It got stuck.
Christy Lee
All right.
Tom Griswold
We couldn't get it out. My uncle picked it up and blew as hard as he could in one end. The hard boiled egg flew out at the speed of sound, hit me in the forehead, and I had a huge bump on my forehead. Everybody thought it was very, very funny.
Christy Lee
I don't believe a word of that story.
Tom Griswold
Well, the uncle is involved.
Al Jackson
A paper roll tube.
Tom Griswold
When we come back, the uncle should.
Chick McGee
Be in a program.
Tom Griswold
When we come back, I'll teach Josh about yes and no. We will, we will. We will hear a song about uncles from Pat. Can we do that?
Christy Lee
That story is a lot.
Tom Griswold
Okay, thank you. April. Josh is calling you a lot.
Chick McGee
Flyer. Yeah, any month.
Christy Lee
There were so many wrong things.
Tom Griswold
Don't. April, I, I know that you gave me the code for your only fans. And by the way, congratulations. That is some good work, by God.
Christy Lee
Yeah. So she lies there too for a living.
Tom Griswold
Oh, no. I've been thinking the photographs.
Chick McGee
So sex in April, Is that what we're saying?
Tom Griswold
It's quite clear right now. The Bob and Tom show is brought to you by Better Help. Better Help is about helping you with your head.
Chick McGee

And this is where therapy can come in and be very, very helpful. Of course. So with better help, the therapy's done online, so it's a lot more convenient. You can do it in your car in the parking lot. You can do it wherever you want to be. You can just use your, your mobile device or your desktop computer and you can do it like a phone call or like a zoom call with a camera going. You can even do it texting back and forth. It's up to you. So your bell, your well being, I should say, is worth it. So check out betterhelp.com btshow and by the way. Do that today. You'll get 10% off your first month. Once again, it's better help H e l p betterhelp.com BTShow the convenience of having a therapy session where you want to be done online. Tom Griswold
Sorry, I didn't mean.
Joe Theisman
I.
Tom Griswold
We got chuckling reading one of our letters.
Christy Lee
Oh. Will you share it with.
Tom Griswold
I'd be happy to. Sorry, we were discussing. I forget why the topic of the so called dick pick came up yesterday. There was kind of a lengthy discussion about that and I asked if there was a name for the female version of them.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Al Jackson
We could not find one.
Chick McGee
Well, we found some, but none.
Al Jackson
We could. We had some ideas.
Tom Griswold
Turns out that Britney.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Is aware of what they're called.
Christy Lee
Oh, really?
Tom Griswold
According to Brittany, anyway.
Chick McGee
And it rhymes with Brit too.
Tom Griswold
No, no, it's a. No, it's called a clamogram.
Christy Lee
Oh, that's pretty good.
Tom Griswold
That's very good, Brittany. Thank you very much.
Pat Godwin
Damn.
Chick McGee
Very nice.
Pat Godwin
From a lady who's right there.
Tom Griswold
I'll. Brittany, feel free to send us a clamogram. No. At your convenience.
Chick McGee
No.
Pat Godwin
Also, she'll set. Don't.
Al Jackson
You're gonna get them now.
Tom Griswold
On a much lighter note, Christine, I were discussing something yesterday. For example, there's. In my case, there is a, there's a place on a freeway where if I'm, let me think here. If I'm eastbound, if I look to my left going by this one building, the building, the whole side of the building is a great big mirror. But with people obviously going the other direction of the side of the freeway, when I look left, if I can see my car, it's good luck. I'm gonna have a good day.
Christy Lee
Oh, interesting.
Tom Griswold
Or sometimes I'll say certain things going to happen if I see my car.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Al Jackson
So you don't do it going westbound because westbound you'll always see your car.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, because it's right there.
Al Jackson
Right.
Tom Griswold
There's no, there's no defense. Am I making this clear? So. Yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
How many within. Within five. How many head on collisions have you had?
Tom Griswold
No, but it would be a head on. It would be ramming the back of a truck because I'm on the freeway. But we all have this sort of thing. This is a nice letter from Angie. She writes, I live close to a major airport. I know I'm gonna have a good day. If as I leave my neighborhood, I see a bald eagle. Oh, that's cool. And it's also good, look, if I see an airplane, one taking off and one landing, I know it's going to be a good day.
Chick McGee
Okay, that's busy.
Al Jackson
Yeah, that's loud.
Tom Griswold
This defies all logic, but that's gonna be a great day. Don't you have anything like that chick? If something you happen to go, this is gonna be a great day.
Chick McGee
Day? No, not really.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I do. You ever the thing where you. There's a particular route that you take all the time and one day you take it and you miss every single light and you go, oh, I only.
Chick McGee
Have, I only have one light on my drive.
Al Jackson
Are you serious? You're lucky.
Chick McGee
Yes, lucky, lucky, lucky.
Al Jackson
Yeah, you are.
Chick McGee
That's me.
Tom Griswold
I made them all today, including the last one, which when I say I made it, I just. You turned it turned left on red.
Al Jackson
But I do it every day too.
Chick McGee
I, I never take the same way twice. I mean, two days in a row.
Christy Lee
Oh, okay.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Chick McGee
Oh yeah.
Christy Lee
I think that's good to change it up like.
Chick McGee
Oh yeah. You never know who's going to be following you or something. Oh, oh yeah, you gotta.
Tom Griswold
But you're saying head on a swivel, baby. So where you live, both, both ways you come, there's only one Traffic light?
Chick McGee
No, there. Well, actually, that time of the day. Yeah. There's one traffic light each, each way functioning.
Tom Griswold
I see.
Chick McGee
The others are on caution.
Tom Griswold
Anyways, if you have some kind of a good luck thing you do, I'd like to hear about it. It's fun. In the meantime, I got a letter for Pat. Dear Bob and Tom Show. Please play my favorite song. It is my anthem. Pat, it's as if you wrote it about me. Oh. When I first heard it on the air, I made sure that I could send it to my niece.
Christy Lee
Is that nobody has pubes anymore.
Al Jackson
He sent it to his niece?
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah.
Christy Lee
That's kind of part of the comment.
Chick McGee
That would be the fulcrum if you.
Christy Lee
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
Uncle Joe.
Tom Griswold
This is from a man who is Uncle Jimmy.
Al Jackson
Hi, Uncle Jimmy.
Pat Godwin
I have an Uncle Jimmy.
Tom Griswold
He's an uncle, you see. And this is a song of yours.
Chick McGee
I don't know what it is about Uncle Jimmy, but he sounds drunk. Just Uncle Jimmy. Uncle Jimmy.
Pat Godwin
He sort of was.
Tom Griswold
Okay, so you. But you've got.
Chick McGee
I had Uncle Jerry. Oh, man. Was he drunk? Oh, all the time.
Christy Lee
Funny. Nice.
Chick McGee
Unbearable when he was sober. Sober, but the nicest, most fun guy when he was drunk.
Christy Lee
Interesting.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Al Jackson
Maybe that's why he stayed drunk.
Chick McGee
It's my mother's family. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I really can't talk about any of my uncles.
Chick McGee
Nothing to do with me. We had a cross dresser, right, or something?
Tom Griswold
No, no, no. Just a rather odd death in Las Vegas.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Yeah, that's what I thought.
Christy Lee
Death by pegging is weird.
Chick McGee
I'm not stopping until I hit mattress.
Tom Griswold
I think at least. I think. I think it was. At least. At least it was a heterosexual, unpleasant death. Pat, your song.
Pat Godwin
So this guy asked for the song Smokey uncle, which is a parody of my satire.
Chick McGee
What?
Pat Godwin
Parody of Drunken Uncle?
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
He's asking for Smokey.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, he. He's a big fan of. He's a big. A big fan of the weed.
Pat Godwin
We're high at the holidays and only 17. The gummy bears and brownie squares are filled with THC. You know who's responsible for our intoxication? Dad's younger brother. High at every occasion. Smokey uncle ate up all the pie. Mama's really pissed. She says, look at that bastard's eyes. Smokey uncle, man, he's really fried. Every 20 minutes he goes to smoke outside. Every 20 minutes he goes to smoke outside. I'm an uncle now and have lots of nephews and nieces. I give him a little puff and the giggly increases. We play Some video games. Go outside and smoke some trees. Blast some gnarly tunes by Snoop Dogg. Smokey uncle. One in every family in a trio of brothers the odds are one in three. My brother Jim is a painter. Jack makes cakes. With bloodshot eyes we realize all three of us are baked.
Christy Lee
With bloodshot eyes they realize all three.
Tom Griswold
Of us are baked.
Pat Godwin
A smoky uncle in an altered state.
Tom Griswold
8.
Pat Godwin
The dinner is at 2. All three of us are late. Smokey uncle with a stunky like aroma. Even grandpa's high on account of his glaucoma. Even grandpa's high on account of his coma.
Tom Griswold
Hey. Oh, very nice.
Chick McGee
My God, that was beautiful.
Tom Griswold
Oh, the smoking Uncle. Every 20 minutes. That's.
Al Jackson
That's a lot, isn't it?
Tom Griswold
That's. Isn't that kind of the old kind of pot?
Pat Godwin
I traveled with a fella, a comedian who smoked every 20 minutes. We had a pull off. Took a five hours to get to Louisville.
Tom Griswold
Well, I know the comedian and I know exactly you're talking about. And God rest his soul, I. He probably had cheap pot.
Chick McGee
How high do you want to get nowadays? Even the cheap pot is crazy.
Tom Griswold
I'll ask. I'll ask someone I know. Hey, Jeff, the today's pot, you can't smoke it every 20 minutes.
Christy Lee
No, yeah. Notch on your ass.
Tom Griswold
You'd be just, just.
Christy Lee
You wouldn't get anything done.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, okay. I'm just asking. He has a friend who smoked.
Christy Lee
Yeah, yeah, I know some people.
Tom Griswold
Okay. All right. Well, once again, people say this isn't a educational show. What do they know? We learned about the clamogram. Yeah, that is perfect. Climogram.
Chick McGee
Have you ever gotten a singing telegram?
Tom Griswold
No, my. One of my brothers, yesterday or two days ago on my birthday, send me one of those dancing video things.
Al Jackson
Oh, jib jab.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, kind of. Yeah. Electronic birthday card.
Chick McGee
You remember the singing telegram that arrived here one morning for one of the cast members? Not me, I don't.
Christy Lee
Did it infuriate?
Chick McGee
It infuriated the cast member because it turned out it was his ex wife delivering the message. Singing telegram. He got so angry.
Al Jackson
Oh boy.
Chick McGee
But he was pretty dramatic anyway.
Al Jackson
But remember that either.
Pat Godwin
Was it a nasty song?
Chick McGee
No, he just hated his ex wife. I can't argue with. I mean, Bob's brother Peter, I bet.
Tom Griswold
So used to do singing telegrams in Los Angeles.
Christy Lee
It was probably a great side gig for an entertainment.
Al Jackson
And he's so good at that, he's.
Tom Griswold
Actually in a movie doing it. Oh, gosh, I'm forgetting which one it was. I think it was with Pam Dawber. I'll have to ask Bob and find out what that was.
Chick McGee
Mork and Mindy go to the movies.
Tom Griswold
The very same. Okay. Thanks so much for joining us. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Josh Arnold
Thanks for listening to the Bob and Tom show this morning even though we're not too much to look at. You can also watch the show on our YouTube channel.

Pat Godwin
Hey, Chad Chick.
Chick McGee
There's Josh Arnold. I hate Stephen Singer, sidekick, chair.
Christy Lee
Hi there.
Chick McGee
There's Christy Lee. She's at the Silac Insurance news desk.
Tom Griswold
Lamogram.
Al Jackson
And this is a never sent a clamogram.
Chick McGee
Is this a samba? Is this a mambo?
Tom Griswold
This makes me want to move though.
Christy Lee
It's great, isn't it?
Tom Griswold
It is great.
Christy Lee
Not bad summary.
Chick McGee
I'm Chick McGee. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
How are you, buddy? Good. I've got some sporting related news here kind of.
Chick McGee
All right.
Tom Griswold
Two things actually.
Chick McGee
Is have to do with the draft.
Tom Griswold
One of them does. Yeah. I did a little homework about that.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Tom Griswold
And the, the NFL draft chime was created in 2005 by a guy named Bob Christensen.
Chick McGee
That's right. I saw the. I watched the documentary. I'm a sad, sad man.
Tom Griswold
ESPN wanted. This is from the New York Times. A subtle but attention grabbing sound to alert viewers during the faster paced later rounds of the draft. So that's what that is. That means the. The pick is in.
Chick McGee
The pick is in.
Christy Lee
It sounds a little Harry Pottery.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Christy Lee
When you watch those movies similar the owl is here.
Chick McGee
You're going to Hogwarts.
Tom Griswold
It's also apparently it's also used for the NBA for the. Excuse me, for the WNBA draft draft.
Christy Lee
All right.
Tom Griswold
According to.
Chick McGee
Really?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, it's been consistently used since 2009.
Christy Lee
So nobody would know that though because.
Al Jackson
Nobody watches that watches the WNBA.
Chick McGee
Did you play 2009? The NFL? Yeah. That's what you meant yeah.
Tom Griswold
In the NFL. Yeah, I've been. I watched the WNBA draft a little bit. Much, much more interested was my little girls Wanda.
Al Jackson
Yeah, of course.
Chick McGee
Are you gonna watch tonight?
Tom Griswold
No. Oh, I got.
Chick McGee
No, actually it was. Remember yesterday when he said, you know, I like the National Football League, but I don't want to work there?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
That's the thing.
Tom Griswold
I'm a casual fan. I've got season tickets, I go to games, but I don't need to.
Chick McGee
I guess it is kind of like.
Tom Griswold
You listen to some of these guys on sports radio and they can tell you who the third string center is on any given. It's amazing.
Chick McGee
They've got good producers.
Tom Griswold
What's their hobby?
Chick McGee
But I'll probably. It's weird this year because my team doesn't pick like first or second or fifth or normally where they. They're way down at 29, 10 minutes.
Tom Griswold
My team picks on the basis of how soon they can be injured and pay them for not doing anything.
Chick McGee
Okay, you win.
Tom Griswold
Here's the. Here's a. I got a really nice letter from Tim Cavanaugh. Tim is one of my favorite people. And Tim did a little bit of homework because, you know, Tim used to teach at a Catholic school.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
So. And he is a man of the Catholic faith and he's been following the sad news recently of the death of the Pope. But he found out this. This is actually fascinating. And we have a story coming up about this. You can actually bet on who will be the next Pope.
Al Jackson
Correct.
Tom Griswold
I'm not kidding. This is a. This is a real thing. They have posted odds, et cetera, et cetera. All right. Because the. The conclave begins in a couple of weeks. Right? Right. They get locked in the Sistine Chapel. It's an ancient tradition. In any event, according to this news account, had the Pope lived for another 20 hours and 29 minutes, he would have been able to celebrate the Pistons win over the Knicks on Monday night. Now, the significance of this. Yeah, I can see.
Chick McGee
Is he a Pistons fan?
Al Jackson
I had no idea.
Tom Griswold
Oh.
Christy Lee
It came from Tim Cavanaugh, so I.
Pat Godwin
Think it's a setup.
Tom Griswold
Oh, well, no, but there's more to it. But. Yeah. Well, I think we probably should play Tim's great song in honor of the Pistons, because this is their first. That was their first playoff win in quite a long time. In fact, it was their first playoff win since he became the Pope.
Christy Lee
Wow.
Tom Griswold
The Pistons had never won a playoff game during the pontificate. Is it the. Is it the Papacy? What? Is it?
Al Jackson
Is it the papacy?
Tom Griswold
The pontificate. One of those things. In any event, he never saw the. I don't know if he was a Pistons fan, but we might as well play this great song. The Detroit Pistons, former champs of basketball. I have so many souvenirs, it's hard to list them all. I have have piston pants, I have piston shorts. I have piston beer mugs. Sometimes people don't even notice. I have piston ash trays, I have piston shoes. I have piston basketballs. When I dribble, they do too. Prior to Pope Francis, the Detroit Pistons had won 189 playoff games during his papacy. They never won a game.
Christy Lee
How long was that? Eight years.
Tom Griswold
2013, I think.
Christy Lee
Oh, okay. So.
Tom Griswold
So a long season.
Chick McGee
I would have guessed shorter than that too, but.
Tom Griswold
Oh, thank you very much, team.
Chick McGee
And then.
Tom Griswold
Oh, and then something for you, Josh.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
A lot of cardinals heading to the Vatican after a sluggish 10 and 15 start. So you're.
Christy Lee
Oh, yes.
Chick McGee
Hey, here's the favorites for the Pope, Pietro Peralin, P A R O L I N. He's a favorite at plus 150 means if you bet 100, you'd win 150 bucks. And then Luis Antonio Tagle is also plus 150. Angelo Scola, who was the favorite back in 2013, he's 83 years old, so now he's plus 200 because evidently that puts him over the 80 year old age limit to vote in the conclave.
Christy Lee
Ah, okay.
Chick McGee
That'll hurt us.
Christy Lee
That only makes sense.
Tom Griswold
But can you, can you still be a candidate if you're over 80?
Chick McGee
I. It doesn't sound. Yeah, but the conclave, that movie is going crazy. Everybody's watching it now. They think it's. Well, it is kind of a. You know, shows you what goes on kind, I guess, best of their knowledge.
Tom Griswold
You know, a lot of it is secret, but.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Did you know that I love that movie?
Chick McGee
I think we all did.
Pat Godwin
Oh, yeah, yeah, that movie.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I pulled the punch at the end, according to Josh and I agree. The speak for me if you want.
Christy Lee
But didn't you say that sometimes off the air conversation.
Tom Griswold
Oh, okay. Sorry. It's not like you're gonna go to hell or anything.
Pat Godwin
That's not what I'm talking.
Tom Griswold
No, just annoying. Did you know that the tradition of locking them in this. This is true. And you're not going to believe it.
Chick McGee
Because one of the popes would always sneak down to the kitchen.
Tom Griswold
No, but if you read about it.
Chick McGee
I'm going to get a burrito.
Tom Griswold
There was. I'M this. You're going to think I'm making this up. There was a terrible odor problem. Farting because they were not allowed out.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah.
Tom Griswold
And then they have a restroom. They. But still the bo and the. I'm totally serious. And then it was not too long ago, I want to say Pope John Paul, I think, allowed them to actually go sleep in different quarters so they could bathe. I'm entirely serious. Wow.
Chick McGee
So if you haven't seen Conclave yet, go watch it and see if you come to the same review that Tom did.
Tom Griswold
Right.
Chick McGee
At the end of the movie, he goes, what's the deal with the turtle?
Tom Griswold
Well, that wasn't the bride problem.
Chick McGee
Yeah, but that's the first thing you said about it. When I said I saw it, well, that was just.
Tom Griswold
I didn't want to get to the meat of the issue.
Christy Lee
The acting is terrific.
Tom Griswold
Costumes are great. Acting is great. Set design is great. I think there's a plot point that's somewhat dubious, which is what? Hinges on the whole thing.
Chick McGee
Now, dubious was Pope nine?
Christy Lee
Yeah, I think so.
Tom Griswold
Dubious the ninth. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Can you pick like any. Any word you want, like, oh, when.
Al Jackson
You pick your name. Pope name.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Pope Sinister.
Tom Griswold
Pope Francis was the first Pope. He was the first Francis.
Chick McGee
The first Frank.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, he was the very first one.
Chick McGee
Wasn't there John Paul and John Paul too, like.
Tom Griswold
Sure. Right. In a row. John Paul was only around briefly. He did. He did a William Henry Harrison.
Chick McGee
That's just.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, there's a Pope Ringo, too.
Tom Griswold
That's just John Paul. George.
Al Jackson
There's not a Pope George yet.
Christy Lee
Maybe this one will pick George.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, you could. I think you could pick any. I think typically they pick the name of a saint. I don't think you're gonna have. Well, the first pope. McGee.
Pat Godwin
Now, Josh, isn't there a Pope that really loves pizza?
Christy Lee
Pope of John. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
That didn't really rescue him from the previous John Paul, George and Ringo.
Chick McGee
I'll have a pop of John pizza every now and then.
Christy Lee
Oh, that garlic butter. You can't go wrong.
Chick McGee
They've got a thin crust. It's crazy.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, they do. Anyway, you can actually bet on, as Chick just said, you can bet on who's going to be the next Pope.
Christy Lee
Is there a particular site or are they all doing it?
Chick McGee
They're. I'm pretty sure they're all. Yeah, it's just a way to throw away money.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I bet the under on Cardinal Rabinowitz.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
I saw this the other day. A highlight. Zip by. I'm not Watching it. But it's the spring football league. League. You can bet on that. Now, if you're betting on the UFL or whatever the hell it is, you've got a problem. Okay.
Tom Griswold
Now, can you bet on the WWE when they did that big thing over the weekend?
Chick McGee
I don't think so.
Tom Griswold
All right. Okay. That pretty much makes sense.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
In any event, who's the favorite again? Is the. The Italian guy, right?
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Let's say Paolo, because Francis was the.
Tom Griswold
First Pope from South America. America.
Chick McGee
Oh, he used to be a bouncer at a nightclub, right? I think so.
Christy Lee
Yeah, that's right.
Chick McGee
Yeah. He'd kick your ass, Tom.
Tom Griswold
No, I.
Chick McGee
That's my turtle.
Tom Griswold
I doubt that. By the way, the.
Chick McGee
Really?
Tom Griswold
Now, here's something.
Chick McGee
You think you could whip the recently deceased Pope?
Tom Griswold
I wouldn't.
Al Jackson
He's 88.
Tom Griswold
He's a man of peace. Even though I have a bad right arm, I probably could. Did you know this fact, Josh?
Chick McGee
What's that looking right at me?
Tom Griswold
The guy who comes. The guy who comes in second.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
In the Pope election. You know what he gets? He gets. Nope. He gets to be the next Golden Bachelor. Well, who knew?
Christy Lee
That's not a bad consolation prize you talk about.
Tom Griswold
Really a bachelor?
Al Jackson
Would you take a selfie with the Pope in his current state?
Chick McGee
Oh, are people doing that?
Al Jackson
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Oh, no. Really?
Chick McGee
See, but that's kind of disrespectful.
Tom Griswold
They're allowing that?
Al Jackson
We'll come back with this.
Chick McGee
That's regional.
Christy Lee
Maybe I'm old school. I don't even want to take a picture in a church.
Chick McGee
I used to be. I used to be married into a family that. That. They did that at. At funerals. Lots of pictures. And then. Yeah, you're just in the family, and they. They go over the photo album.
Al Jackson
Yeah, I mean, they have her pixelated out, but. But there she is.
Christy Lee
Do it for the gram.
Tom Griswold
No, thanks.
Al Jackson
Right.
Chick McGee
Speaking of deaths, we have got a passing.
Pat Godwin
That's not right.
Al Jackson
That is.
Chick McGee
We've got a passing in National Football League. We'll have it for you next.
Tom Griswold
Okay. When.
Chick McGee
Illegal passing or an interception. No, it. Someone. Someone died.
Christy Lee
Oh.
Tom Griswold
Oh, oh, oh. That's not funny.
Chick McGee
No, not funny at all. That's why I kind of presented it like that.
Tom Griswold
Long ball.
Christy Lee
I misread the whole thing.
Chick McGee
And here you come.
Tom Griswold
I talk about a hail.
Chick McGee
Hang on. So you miss. Oh, you misread it. That was an honest mistake.
Tom Griswold
Excuse me. We have to move forward here.
Chick McGee
Shut me up, will you?
Tom Griswold
No, I'd like you to.
Chick McGee
No, it's. You Dude.
Tom Griswold
Okay. I'm trying to find. I did have a really nice letter for Stephen. Stephen Singer Jewelers. Of course.
Chick McGee
Where'd it go?
Tom Griswold
It's over here somewhere. We can do this. First, I'll remind you that Stephen Singer has something very special. It is a limited edition. I'm talking about this. There's the rose right over there. This is a real rose. It's called the blue moon rose. And it is a special for Mother's Day. It's dipped in 24 karat gold, and it's kind of a. Kind of a greenish blue. It's just a gorgeous little guy right over there. There it is. And you can get one in a beautiful box. And it's perfect for Mother's Day. It's a great value, but it is a limited edition. And Stephen, we had him on the phone last week. He said, said last year's rose sold out well before Mother's Day. So this is one of those things you might want to do today. Comes in a beautiful box with a beautiful card. And think of all those moms in your life. I'm sure they'd love one of these. And by the way, shipping is free. I also would like to add, if the mother in your life happens to be the baby mama, also, you might want to take that rose and have dangling it from it. Maybe the at Last bracelet. My personal favorite. Christie's personal favorite. A beautiful diamond bracelet and a great value. And of course, real diamonds. We're never talking about the fake stuff at Stephen Singer Jewelers. Earthborn diamonds. You know, Mother's Day, Moms love earrings. Moms love necklaces. Moms love great jewelry. Check out the entire catalog by going to ihatestevensinger.com and don't forget the real rose dipped in real 24 karat gold. Just one of the many great things at Stephen Singer Jewelers. You find them@ihatestevensinger.com and again, these are not going to be restocked. This is it. So you might want to act today and get that Mother's Day thing out of the way for all those moms in your life from our buddy, Steven Singer. Say hi to his dog, buddy. I hate stevensinger.com Coming up, we have more news about apparently about what's going on at the Vatican. We have some really exciting stuff going on in the world today. And an update on buying your dream car. Bill Belichick News. And something stuck in a. Stuck where the sun don't shine and it moves. That's the really weird part. Of this one, we are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Josh Arnold
It's part sports.
Tom Griswold
We have football on the brain, part pop culture.
Christy Lee
Dennis Leary, true or false. You refuse to wear a glove with Mickey Mantle's signature on it. Through be the sandlot.
Chick McGee
Red Sox blood, the Bruins blood, they run deep.
Josh Arnold
Add in the best celebrity interview.
Christy Lee
Robert De Niro here on the Rich Eisen Show.
Tom Griswold
How are you, sir?
Chick McGee
Just got over a 24 hour virus.
Christy Lee
The antidote is to appear on the Rich Eisen Show.
Chick McGee
There you go. I would have done it earlier.
Josh Arnold
And you've got the Rich Eisen show podcast.
Christy Lee
There's a medicinal quality to appearing on this program.
Josh Arnold
Follow and listen on your favorite platform.
Chick McGee
Welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. Pat Godwin. Chick Christy Lee. Josh Arnold.
Christy Lee
Spring has sprung, huh?
Chick McGee
It's all over you, man.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Now we're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick McGee. Hello. Tom Griswold.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Chick.
Chick McGee
Now, be careful where that cup is.
Tom Griswold
It looks dangerous. Moved it way back. My java house. Black tea.
Christy Lee
Precarious.
Tom Griswold
I will not spill it, I hope. Again, if you're just joining us, I spilled just a nice fresh iced tea ice all over my pants. Right in the groin. Yes.
Chick McGee
All over your Peter.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. The day I actually, interestingly enough. Well, I, I can't give you too much information. I, I had gone to a. To a hospital to visit a friend.
Christy Lee
Ah.
Tom Griswold
And when I walked in, I realized I really had to pee. And in the, in the main lobby area of the hospital, first of all, there's a Starbucks there.
Al Jackson
Yep.
Tom Griswold
Which is really nice.
Chick McGee
But in the hospital.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, sure. When you walk in, you go to the right. Anyway, this is the same hospital where two of my children. Children were born.
Christy Lee
Oh.
Tom Griswold
That's how I know about the Starbucks, because I spent most of my time down there.
Chick McGee
Is this going to be a long story?
Tom Griswold
No, Sorry. So, anyways, I walk into the men's room and I go to wash my hands and I just turn the, turn the faucet on and it comes out at, oh, I don't know, 40 gallons a second.
Christy Lee
Oh, sure.
Tom Griswold
Right. Right there on the groin. Hi, Doctor. No, I'm just here to visit my friend. I didn't just piss my pants. In any event, got a nice letter here because Christie was outside the other morning and listening to the beautiful sounds of birds.
Al Jackson
Yes.
Tom Griswold
And she wasn't sure what they were.
Chick McGee
What kind of bird?
Al Jackson
Well, I'm very interested in birds. I like birds.
Chick McGee
I like birds. Crap Everywhere. Did you ever see Disease?
Tom Griswold
Did you ever see the movie, what is it called? The Big Ear.
Christy Lee
Yes. A very delightful movie.
Al Jackson
I have not seen that.
Christy Lee
Owen Wilson, Steve Martin, Jack Black.
Chick McGee
Every opinion I've asked you about movies and you think that was a. A delightful movie.
Christy Lee
I. I smiled the whole time.
Tom Griswold
The Big Year.
Christy Lee
It's very gentle and simple in the.
Tom Griswold
In the world we live in right now, which, you know, every day, it's like, you know, Shinola world. This is a wonderful place. Sweet movie.
Christy Lee
It's a small, just nice time.
Tom Griswold
One of the few times Josh's opinion on something has been semi valid. Now.
Christy Lee
I do have invalid opinions.
Tom Griswold
Your opinions and movies are much better than mine. The you. You were trying to figure out what bird it was. You eventually found an app, right? And Darren kind enough to write original.
Chick McGee
Darren or the.
Tom Griswold
That he was wondering if this might have been one of Bob's famous bird calls. I was able to dig up a couple of Bob's bird calls.
Chick McGee
Oh, God, no.
Tom Griswold
From a. Live. From a live broadcast, Mr. Kavoyan, if you please. African scissor birds. Okay. African scissors. Unbelievable. If you have ever seen. That is just so dead on. Guatemalan diarrhea bird. Okay. Oh. Oh, this is rare. Unbelievable.
Christy Lee
I'm sorry.
Al Jackson
I'm sad to report it was neither of those birds, though.
Tom Griswold
Oh. Let's hear the beginning of this game. You have to really listen carefully. I'll try to not step over it here. African scissor birds. Okay. Okay. There you go. That's the African scissor bird.
Pat Godwin
That's my son's favorite bit from this show. I'm not even joking.
Tom Griswold
Thank you, Bob. Let's see now we. Oh, we have to go back to the sports page. I forgot what's going on over there.
Chick McGee
We haven't visited at all. So here we are. Jalen Green had eight, three pointers scored 38 to lead the Rockets. Plenty of Rockets in Houston 10994. The win over the dubs. Golden State and Houston that series tied at a game a piece.
Tom Griswold
That brings up a lot of songs.
Chick McGee
Donovan Mitchell.
Tom Griswold
Well, you got your Houston. Houston. Houston.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And you got your Jalen Green. Guess. Guess just doesn't like music.
Christy Lee
You also play a love and rocket song.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah. Donovan Mitchell had 30, including 17 in the fourth quarter. Cavaliers 121, 112 winners over the heat beat. They start singing, right.
Tom Griswold
The chick used to like to play.
Chick McGee
But I had two games to none. I was severely, verbally. Well, no. Through an email. Undressed. For my love of Any kind of music. So I can't do anything over here. I can't help you.
Tom Griswold
We can sing.
Chick McGee
Meanwhile, last. I like Kristaps Porzingis. He's one of the bigs for Boston. That means he's really, like, seven feet tall.
Tom Griswold
Wow.
Chick McGee
He got hit in the head and a big cut, and there's blood everywhere. He had to have five stitches to close it.
Al Jackson
Oh, my God.
Chick McGee
But he did the. He. He. They came out, they put a towel on his head, he went to the locker room, and then he came back out triumphantly. And the crowd gave him a big round of applause. And here's at the news conference after the game what Kristaps was thinking when he came back out.
Tom Griswold
No, I love my, like, WWE moments. For sure. It's. It's just happens in the game, you know, and you know me, like, I always love engaging with the crowd. And I already knew, like, getting hit again, blood again. Like, crowd was gonna just, you know.
Christy Lee
You'Re gonna hear him smiling. He loved it.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah, it was cool.
Tom Griswold
It was fun.
Chick McGee
It was cool. There's the blood. That kind of brings it.
Christy Lee
Why don't. What a gash.
Chick McGee
What's he a. Good God, Gertie. What a gash.
Tom Griswold
Right? That's what I said the last time I saw a clamogram. What a gas.
Christy Lee
I hope there was less blood.
Al Jackson
Yeah, me too.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
NFL draft is tonight. That's right. And Mel Kuiper will be featured. Do you remember this moment from a draft pass. Who in the hell is Mel Kiper?
Tom Griswold
In a way.
Chick McGee
I mean, here's a guy that. That criticizes everybody, whoever they take. He's got the answers, who you should take and who you shouldn't take. Mel Kuiper has no more credentials to do what he's doing than my neighbor.
Christy Lee
And my neighbor's a postman.
Chick McGee
And he doesn't even have season tickets to the NFL. That was former Colts general manager Bill Tobin way back in the day.
Tom Griswold
That's hilarious.
Chick McGee
And Mel Kuiper now knows quite a bit about the draft. I think college football would turn there.
Tom Griswold
Would it be worth. Do you think anybody could pay him enough to get him to quit doing that and just do it for them?
Christy Lee
Oh, just be there, in other words.
Chick McGee
Oh, okay. I don't know, May. Well, I think. I think there are enough. There are enough people in that industry that I would imagine most of the teams have a draft expert, just like they have a cap expert.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Does anybody listen to Mel. Do you think they. Well, Mel Kuiper said this Guy's the best.
Chick McGee
The fun part about this, my. The best part about this is nobody knows. And they really try hard to quantify everything with all the testing they do and the personality. But you don't know, I bet just absolutely don't know.
Christy Lee
The NFL experts for each team, the drafting experts and the scouts and all that stuff. When. When somebody comes to them and says, well, Kuiper says it's much like a patient going to a doctor saying, hey, I googled this.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yes.
Christy Lee
It has to be almost the same thing. Well, you know, Kuiper, geez, I did my research for three years on this kid. Kuiper. Read about him in one one afternoon.
Chick McGee
Get out. TCU in North Carolina will play in the 2026 college football opener in Dublin, Ireland. You hear about that fairy tale kid named Dick went to Dublin, Remember that?
Tom Griswold
No.
Chick McGee
And they almost broke it and what.
Christy Lee
It turns out it was Dublin?
Chick McGee
Something like that. It was Dublin. Bill Belichick will make his debut as a regular season coach for the North Carolina Tar Heels. We'll see how that. It'll be, of course, the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.
Tom Griswold
Oh, are you kidding?
Chick McGee
From Dublin, Ireland? No, it was the Aer Lingus College football.
Christy Lee
Isn't there some sort of merger news?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, they merged with Continental Airlines.
Christy Lee
Oh, they did?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, they became Contingus Airlines. By the way, don't order the tuna.
Chick McGee
August 29, 2026. What do you think of that, Tom?
Tom Griswold
I don't care.
Chick McGee
Steve McMichael, a defensive tackle of the Chicago Bears. They called him Mongo after Alex Caris and Blazing Saddles. Do you remember that?
Christy Lee
Only pawn and game of life.
Chick McGee
That's right. That's Mongo. He's died after a long battle with ALS. He was 67. He was on the. He was a Cornerstone of the 1985 Chicago Bears super bowl championship team. And that. That amazing defense was that super bowl shuffle time. That was super bowl shuffle time. Yes. And the main question about the draft everyone's asking is where will Shador Sanders end up in the NFL draft? But his stock is falling as fast as I'm. It's quickly. It's falling real quick. Tom tweets he's according to rumors, he's entitled. He not much of a quarterback and he's not that good, is the rumor going around. So we'll talk to Joe boy, I.
Christy Lee
Hope there are high school colleges. Oh, you'll talk to Theisman about thousand.
Chick McGee
Yeah, Theisman coming up next hour.
Christy Lee
Oh, there must be coaches in junior high and high School going kids. Careful what you tweet. If you're, if you're really good.
Chick McGee
Oh man.
Christy Lee
Don't post anything.
Chick McGee
Just don't.
Christy Lee
You don't want that to affect your chances of making it because they look at that stuff. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And there are, there are junior high school guys right now that are plugged.
Chick McGee
Into a. Oh yeah, absolutely.
Christy Lee
Right.
Tom Griswold
I actually know one, they're.
Christy Lee
Oh, no kidding.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, they're. They've been plugged in for years.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
To a whole system of advisors and coaches and it's amazing.
Chick McGee
In the NHL, Caps take a 20 lead over Montreal last night. They went 3 1. The Washington Commanders quarterback room was there. Thank you very much. That's cool. Los Angeles speed. Edmonton 62 and an overtime. Dallas be Colorado 2 to 1. And tennis star Andre Agassi is set to make his pickleball debut. According to reports, he'll play his first professional tournament at the U.S. open Pickleball Championships.
Tom Griswold
It's a great smart move.
Chick McGee
Wow. With the top ranked player in the world, 18 year old Annalee waters. 18 years old, that doesn't seem exactly. Cricket. Isn't pickleball for older Americans?
Al Jackson
Not anymore, apparently.
Christy Lee
I don't like this. All Legacy's doing is taking a spot away from a pure pickleball player.
Chick McGee
Yes. For his own ego, like grandma and grandpa.
Tom Griswold
He's going to get people watching it.
Christy Lee
Well, I think they're already.
Tom Griswold
He has a terrific book, by the way.
Chick McGee
Is that right?
Christy Lee
Who wrote it?
Tom Griswold
He did. He's a really interesting guy. I know that.
Christy Lee
I know his name's on the COVID but who wrote it?
Al Jackson
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
You just, you're just, you're just. You're just upset because he has your hairline.
Al Jackson
I bet he's upset he has his hairline.
Christy Lee
Yeah, he's more upset that he has my hairline.
Tom Griswold
Oh, he, he talks about wearing the wig and the whole thing. His book is really good. I'm not a tennis fan, but I read a big chunk of his book. I liked it. That's a smart move. Get people to watch it. You don't think so, Chick?
Chick McGee
I. Pickleball's, you know, fine. We've got enough stuff to watch. But if you want to watch pickleball, good for you.
Pat Godwin
Playing is fun.
Tom Griswold
Watch.
Chick McGee
Here's something else you can watch, Tom. Former NFL player Mel Owens. I'm not familiar with him. Evidently he was a Los Angeles Ram. He's been named the Golden Bachelor for the show's second season.
Tom Griswold
I thought it was going to be the guy that came in Second for the Pope.
Chick McGee
It's Mel Owen. You started that.
Tom Griswold
Oh, the guy that doesn't win the book. The next cardinal becomes the Golden Bachelor.
Chick McGee
No, Mel is 66 years old. Played for the Rams for nine seasons. Currently is a lawyer in California. California.
Al Jackson
He's attractive.
Chick McGee
You think so?
Al Jackson
All right, there you go.
Christy Lee
Sure. Yeah, he's a handsome guy.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Didn't the first Golden Bachelor. Didn't that end up being a debacle?
Al Jackson
Yes, they got married and divorced within a month.
Christy Lee
Oh, but the show was a hit.
Chick McGee
Oh, the show was a crazy, monster hit. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Not as good as the other one.
Al Jackson
The Golden Bachelorette.
Tom Griswold
No, the. The Golden Shower Bachelor.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
A lot of people were pissed when they watched that.
Chick McGee
Yeah, that show, that whole show was a real pisser.
Christy Lee
Went down the drain.
Chick McGee
Would you like to hear Mel Owens, the Golden Bachelor's mission statement?
Al Jackson
Sure.
Chick McGee
Of course you would. Rooted, rooted, quote, rooted in the simple joys of companionship.
Christy Lee
I'm out sharing.
Chick McGee
Sharing life's everyday moments. Puffy Beaver, making plans for the future and growing stronger together as a couple.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Isn't that sweet?
Tom Griswold
You know, they tried to get, oh, O.J. but, yeah, unfortunately, he passed. He's in hell now.
Chick McGee
If OJ Were still alive and that was doable, you know. Oh, yeah. What a rating that would get.
Tom Griswold
Oh, oh, If. If the Menendez brothers got out.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah.
Tom Griswold
They'd be on that show immediately.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Now, the first rule is, you guys, you can't kill anybody, okay?
Christy Lee
Hey, we got that straight.
Tom Griswold
Okay? All right?
Pat Godwin
Otherwise, we're not doing it.
Tom Griswold
Our first D. Going ski shooting.
Christy Lee
Ly knows what I'm talking about.
Chick McGee
Ly, you know what I'm doing.
Tom Griswold
If they're watching tv, don't blow. Blow off their heads from the back.
Chick McGee
You rascal, you. He reloaded. Anyway, coming up, would you like to see a fire eater?
Christy Lee
Oh, I always. That's always enjoyable.
Chick McGee
Damn right you would. Right here.
Christy Lee
Why don't circuses have fire farters, too? Why not?
Chick McGee
I thought that was. I thought that was a urban legend.
Al Jackson
I thought it was.
Tom Griswold
No, no, no, no, no.
Christy Lee
It's amazing.
Tom Griswold
No, it works.
Christy Lee
The first time I saw it and realized it wasn't a urban legend, my whole world turned.
Al Jackson
Can you have your pants all the way down or can you do it through your pants?
Christy Lee
You can do it through your jeans.
Tom Griswold
I saw my. One of my college roommates light his underwear on fire. I never laughed harder in my life. I'm. It was tremendously funny. All right, Because I didn't believe. I'll thought there's no way that the human body could emit a gas. That would be flam. I was wrong. Yeah, it is absolutely possible. And I'm, I, I'm surprised ladies don't do it more often.
Al Jackson
Really?
Tom Griswold
Yeah. I mean, they have certain nicknames like, you know, like butch. Can you light a fart?
Christy Lee
I'd like to think there are some lipstick firefighters.
Chick McGee
We'll be right back. We'll be right back.
Tom Griswold
Oh, sorry. These are the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.

Welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. Christy Lee at the Silac Insurance news desk.
Al Jackson
Hello.
Chick McGee
Hey, Pat Godwin. How, how you doing, buddy?
Pat Godwin
Hi, Chick.
Chick McGee
Good to see you.
Pat Godwin
Hey, it's better to see you.
Chick McGee
There's Josh Arnold.
Christy Lee
I don't like the piece before the war.
Chick McGee
We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick McGee. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Can't believe you didn't introduce Frank Sinatra. Frank, it's great to see you here on our studio.
Pat Godwin
Hey, how's everybody? Everybody doing?
Tom Griswold
I'm a little drunk. Okay.
Christy Lee
Hey, Frank.
Pat Godwin
Caught me off guard.
Tom Griswold
Little Jack.
Chick McGee
Dad, don't they have. Frank has an airplane bottle. A jack on his. On his grave. Yeah, yeah, I think Nancy put it. Nancy? Yeah, Nancy.
Christy Lee
Frank, any woman in the world. Any woman in the world. Why Mia Farrow.
Pat Godwin
I like tomboys.
Tom Griswold
Now, Frank, we've been talking about birds. Oh, I love Christy. Christie's been listening to birds outside her home and she bought a special app so she can hold it up, hold her phone up and it tells her what bird is making them delicious or delightful song. Excuse me. Sound.
Chick McGee
We can hear about it.
Tom Griswold
And then Josh never talked about a very fine movie with Steve Martin and Jack Black. Called the Big Year.
Christy Lee
I recommend Happiness. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Am I in the minority? A little Jack Black goes a long way.
Christy Lee
I can't get enough.
Chick McGee
No kidding.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
All right.
Tom Griswold
He's great in the movie where he plays the funeral director. Have you seen that one?
Christy Lee
Bernie?
Tom Griswold
Bernie. That's a great film. And right now he's in a very popular movie. But let's. Let's get over to Frank.
Chick McGee
Which one is that?
Christy Lee
Minecraft.
Tom Griswold
Minecraft. Number one movie in the world, Chicken jockey.
Chick McGee
In the world, yeah.
Tom Griswold
By far. Mr. Sinatra, it's a great pleasure. Are you a fan of birds?
Pat Godwin
Love birds.
Christy Lee
Oh.
Pat Godwin
I lived in Palm Springs for a while, had birds. I loved the birds, but I just. I couldn't keep them. I wasn't around enough to feed them, take care of them.
Christy Lee
Oh, sure.
Pat Godwin
Housekeeper would forget. I'd lose a bird.
Tom Griswold
Do you have a song about that?
Pat Godwin
I do indeed.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Egrets, I've had a few and a cockatoo who needed too much attention I put them in a dooby doobie zoo but they didn't like that form of detention they want to let live a life that's full and crap on cars on the highway so I opened up their cages and let them fly.
Christy Lee
Away.
Tom Griswold
Thank you. Thank you, Frank.
Christy Lee
Still got it, Frankie.
Tom Griswold
Oh, that is very nice. Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen. And once again, do I think we have a time for the African Scissor bird from Bob. African scissor bird. Okay. There you go. There you go, the African Scissorburg. Thank you very much.
Chick McGee
Bill Belichick. Remember him?
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Chick McGee
A new head coach to the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. Yeah. Something on your shoe? Bill Belichick has a book coming out. Reportedly leaves out any mention of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
Christy Lee
Oh.
Chick McGee
Writing for the Boston Globe, Dan Shaughnessy, an insufferable prick, notes that the.
Tom Griswold
What did he do?
Chick McGee
Shaughnessy. He notes that the former Patriots coaches book, the Art of Winning contains an exhaustive acknowledgment section that thanks 363 people, but makes no mention of Robert Kraft. Well, there you go. That tells you everything you need to know about Shaughnessy.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Chick McGee
Would anybody have noticed this had he.
Christy Lee
Not brought it combed through the acknowledgements?
Chick McGee
I know there's something here that stinks. I'm gonna find it.
Tom Griswold
Well, I mean, you know, he's a meddler knowledge everybody else.
Chick McGee
He's an agitator.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Kraft and Belichick parted ways after the 23 season in what has been labeled a mutual decision. But the revelation Lends credence to rumors that that relationship had been a contentious one. Belichick's book released May 6, if you're interested.
Tom Griswold
Nice Father's Day gift you've read if you've read everything. Chapter one, the key to success. Draft Tom Brady.
Chick McGee
Yeah, that'd be Tom Brady.
Tom Griswold
Leave an important component.
Chick McGee
We got a big problem.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Chick McGee
Guess what? We got Tom. Stupid. At last. I've been looking forward to this record all morning. A fire breathing high school teacher from Minnesota has broken the Guinness world record for fire breathing. Raiderly R A E D E R L E Sterling earned the record title with a total of 68 flames blown. Oh, 68 flames blown out in half.
Christy Lee
A minute to say the Calgary team had quite a night.
Tom Griswold
I didn't know there were that many guys in the squad.
Christy Lee
I guess they were going with everybody.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, they call her hot lips.
Chick McGee
She's 38 years old, has been a professional fire performer.
Tom Griswold
I thought it was called fire eating.
Chick McGee
For more than 20 years.
Christy Lee
Well, there are many things you can do.
Al Jackson
You can eat fire.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Oh, yeah. You've never seen those guys.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Isn't that. Isn't that the fire eater where the. The guy takes the stick and sticks in his mouth and starts?
Chick McGee
Yeah. Gene Simmons is a fire breather.
Al Jackson
Breather, right.
Chick McGee
Specifically the exhale.
Christy Lee
And it says, this lady's a fire breather.
Chick McGee
She's been one for 20 years. She said, quote, as a mother of two kids and someone who's not athletic, I wanted to be able to show other people like me that we can.
Tom Griswold
What was the number of flames?
Chick McGee
30. 68.
Tom Griswold
That's nothing.
Al Jackson
Oh, my gosh, look at that.
Christy Lee
That's real fast.
Pat Godwin
Oh, boy.
Al Jackson
Oh, that was quick.
Chick McGee
Well, she had some s'mores I could see.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I see.
Al Jackson
She looks like she's a reenactor of some.
Chick McGee
She does look like a Renaissance guy.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Renaissance girl. Yeah.
Christy Lee
It's pretty cool.
Chick McGee
And her shoes aren't given.
Tom Griswold
I have a question.
Pat Godwin
So it's a hell of a skirt.
Tom Griswold
So the. So she's got some kind of.
Chick McGee
The skirt's supposed to go.
Christy Lee
She's like, got alcohol or something in her mouth.
Chick McGee
Christy, you're a lady. You know women's fashion. Is her skirt supposed to go up like that in the front? I didn't think so.
Christy Lee
She has to spit out the liquid the exact time that the flame goes over her lips. So there is some coordination involved here.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
So this accounts is 68 what she's doing now.
Al Jackson
I can see why she brought up the app.
Tom Griswold
The Most flames blown out this week was me at my birthday party blowing out the candle.
Christy Lee
They haven't gone just to the numbers.
Al Jackson
They did that old gag, they put them all on there.
Chick McGee
He's a man of a certain age.
Tom Griswold
So when you're doing that, wouldn't if you. If you slipped and swallowed, wouldn't it kill you? Cuz she's. Her mouth is full of some kind of flammable liquid.
Christy Lee
Yeah, but it could just be vodka.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Or Bacardi, like vodka light. Yeah, sure.
Al Jackson
Bacardi, yeah. Yours?
Chick McGee
It's.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah. You put booze in your mouth and you spit it into.
Chick McGee
It's gonna 60 alcohol. What do you want it to do?
Tom Griswold
You mean you've actually put booze in your mouth and not swallowed it?
Chick McGee
No, I never have. I'm scared to not swallow it. I don't know what might happen. I don't want to be sober any.
Tom Griswold
Christy, you've actually seen someone swallow her.
Christy Lee
Well, isolate that.
Tom Griswold
You didn't want to do the story?
Chick McGee
I wanted to do the story.
Tom Griswold
No, you. So you've seen someone do this?
Christy Lee
Yeah. And I've seen amateurs do it at parties.
Al Jackson
Have you really?
Christy Lee
Yes. Yeah, it was an Everclear night and he was.
Tom Griswold
So we've established that you can light farts and you can light booze in your mouth.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Christy Lee
I didn't know. You didn't know that?
Tom Griswold
I did not.
Al Jackson
Those flaming shots you get with Bacardi.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, Bacardi 151.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
It's very popular.
Chick McGee
You've now never had the flaming Purple Jesus.
Tom Griswold
No.
Christy Lee
Or the Flaming Dr. Pepper.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Al Jackson
Oh, yeah.
Tom Griswold
What's the Flaming Dr. Pepper?
Christy Lee
It's some booze combination. They light it on fire and then when you take the shot, it tastes almost exactly like Dr. Pepper.
Tom Griswold
Ever. Oh. Do you blow the flames up before you throw it down yourself?
Christy Lee
I would, yeah.
Pat Godwin
Okay, Give up the flaming capote. That's really delicious.
Tom Griswold
My drink is quite tasty.
Chick McGee
I wondered how long it was going to take for us to get to that.
Tom Griswold
They serve it at Tiffany's in the morning.
Chick McGee
That's pretty good.
Christy Lee
That's real good. Have you read my short story?
Tom Griswold
Well, speaking of most flames blown.
Christy Lee
Yeah, okay, you're missing an R there.
Chick McGee
If you haven't seen In Cold Blood, go watch that.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Black and white movie with Robert Blake and Chris. Or.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but the guy in the role of Truman Capote, he really.
Christy Lee
How about Murder by Death where Truman Capote is essentially himself. Have you seen that?
Chick McGee
No movie is so funny in it.
Christy Lee
Yes. Yeah, that's A real funny movie.
Chick McGee
You know what? I have when it came out, I saw that Murder by Death. I love the title.
Christy Lee
Oh, by the way, I got an advanced copy of that Belichick book. Oh, hardcover? Yeah. Oh, the jacket, no sleeves.
Tom Griswold
Well worth the wait.
Chick McGee
That was very funny.
Pat Godwin
Bravo.
Tom Griswold
What's Coming up, Christy Lee.
Al Jackson
Coming up, we have a talk about airline travel and what's.
Christy Lee
We will. How do you guys feel about the snacks? I don't think they're that bad. Yeah, yeah. Pretzel mixes.
Al Jackson
What about? What stresses you out about what about the sea?
Christy Lee
They're too tight for me.
Al Jackson
We'll talk about that. We're going to talk about the optimum sexual frequency.
Christy Lee
Optimum sexual. The least popular transformer. I am optimum sexual.
Chick McGee
You say Free course.
Al Jackson
Frequency that mitigates depression. How many times should you do it?
Tom Griswold
We'll find out. Also, NFL notes. Joe Theisman will be our guest. Coming up, we are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Josh Arnold
Thanks for listening to the Bob and Tom show this morning.
Christy Lee
Morning.
Josh Arnold
The show is also out there for you on our YouTube channel. Watch and subscribe.
Chick McGee

Chick McGee
We'Re in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Thank you very much. Chick McGee. Is it time to check in with Christy Lane?
Chick McGee
It is.
Tom Griswold
I know. Coming up, we're going to talk with Joe Theisman, NFL. Great. A little bit of information from Joe about the NFL draft. Get his opinions on things.
Chick McGee
The NFL draft?
Christy Lee
That is attention grabbing.
Chick McGee
Oh, yes.
Tom Griswold
Everybody hear that?
Al Jackson
We have a sale on aisle three.
Tom Griswold
I. I think there's. I think there's someone in my front door. Yeah, it sounds kind of like my doorbell.
Chick McGee
Sounds like your doorbell, yeah. Really?
Christy Lee
It doesn't sound anything like La Cucaracha. We found out Tom had a La Cucaracha. How did that make it past the committee?
Tom Griswold
That's my. That's my car horn.
Al Jackson
I would not be surpr. You don't have a doorbell that you can change anytime you want, Right?
Tom Griswold
I have no idea what happens now.
Pat Godwin
When you ring the Door.
Christy Lee
What is the cockroach doing in this song?
Chick McGee
Dancing?
Christy Lee
I like to think so.
Chick McGee
La cucaracha.
Tom Griswold
He's probably eating.
Chick McGee
Just look at him go.
Tom Griswold
Oh, eating crumbs from last night's taco? I don't know.
Christy Lee
Could be.
Chick McGee
Have you ever lived anywhere that they had a roach problem?
Tom Griswold
Problem? Are you kidding? Yes.
Josh Arnold
Really?
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah. New York City, Florida.
Tom Griswold
New York City. Ever seen a palmetto bug?
Pat Godwin
Willie's bedroom.
Christy Lee
Those are big. Those are different roaches.
Tom Griswold
Thank you, Pat. No. Let's see now what's happening? We're going to Christy Lee.
Al Jackson
New research suggests having sex can help relieve the symptoms of depression. Duh. Researchers discovered having sex at least once per week was associated with a 24% reduction in the odds of depression. The psychological benefits of sex appeared to peak at a frequency of 52 to 103 times per year or about one to two times a week. But having sex beyond that range did not seem to offer additional protection.
Christy Lee
Oh, okay.
Al Jackson
Against being in a bad mood.
Tom Griswold
So a couple times a week is the optimum.
Al Jackson
One to two times a week, that's probably.
Tom Griswold
Otherwise you're just dad average. So for men, life's hard one way or the other. Boy.
Chick McGee
What about taking care of it yourself? That pick you up?
Christy Lee
It must in a way, right?
Al Jackson
Yeah, I would think.
Chick McGee
You don't do that, do you Tom? You don't self blood.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
About yourself.
Tom Griswold
I'm just curious about this study. I mean is this. Did they test it against like pharmaceuticals?
Al Jackson
I don't know, I don't have.
Tom Griswold
Well, you can either do Zoloft, Prozac or this new one called Humpa Week.
Chick McGee
Oh yeah, I'm sorry. What's the new one?
Tom Griswold
A hump a week. It comes with an 18 year old girl that's an infomaniac. And 18.
Christy Lee
Can we do 24 is fine.
Al Jackson
Something that's maybe 30.
Chick McGee
I'm just glad he didn't pick 16.
Tom Griswold
Do you want. Do you want an erection or not? Oh.
Al Jackson
Oh boy.
Pat Godwin
Oh, that's good.
Tom Griswold
No, I'm, I'm serious. I wonder if they. First of all, I'd like to again congratulate the person that wrote the grant for this. Well, I've been kind of depressed. I thought I'd. Thought I'd ask the council that offers all the money if we could do this study.
Al Jackson
I'm going to be Josh here.
Tom Griswold
I'm going to try to get laid every week and see if it makes me any happier.
Al Jackson
Is it because you're okay? It's not just the sex. If you're having sex, you're probably in a healthy relationship, things are probably going pretty well in your life, which would also help with the depression.
Tom Griswold
Right, but do they do different categories? What if it's prostitutes?
Pat Godwin
Oh, that's a good question. Yeah.
Christy Lee
See, that's the thing. I. Let's say there's a. There is kind of a nymphomaniac out there who's just having sex with one night stands. I don't know that their depression is going to be better, you know?
Al Jackson
Right.
Christy Lee
There's got to be some kind of self disgust. I believe that goes along with some of those cases, but who knows? It's interesting though.
Al Jackson
This is interesting. A study of ancient skeletal remains reveals the first archaeological evidence of gladiators actually fighting lions in the rain.
Christy Lee
Now, studies do show if you're having sex with skeletons, depression is not affected.
Chick McGee
And if. And if you are having sex with skeletons. Well, whatever it takes. Okay.
Tom Griswold
That's bone on bone.
Al Jackson
An analysis of the skeleton found in an 1800 year old Roman cemetery in York, England, showed bite marks that were likely made by a lion.
Christy Lee
Whoa.
Al Jackson
The bite wound was not healed, indicating that it was likely the cause of the man's death.
Christy Lee
But didn't we know that gladiators fought lions?
Al Jackson
I got that. We saw it in the movie, right?
Christy Lee
I mean, yeah, but I mean, there's plenty of evidence. Evidence to suggest they did.
Al Jackson
The findings represent the first osteological confirmation of human interaction.
Pat Godwin
I better get my dictionary.
Al Jackson
In a combat or entertainment setting in the Roman world.
Christy Lee
Interesting.
Al Jackson
Yeah. This study was published in the journal plos One plus One. It's believed that the individual was decapitated after death. Death which appears to have been a ritual for some individuals in the Roman period. Although the reasons for that remain unclear.
Tom Griswold
Okay, I'll make sure he's dead.
Al Jackson
Well, yeah.
Christy Lee
Or would they post the head on a pike as a past loser, sort of a trophy?
Tom Griswold
Why wouldn't they? Well, why wouldn't they find lion bones nearby then?
Al Jackson
Well, I don't.
Christy Lee
They don't. They didn't bury the lions in the same cemetery as the people in case the lions.
Chick McGee
Okay, the lions run off and die in the woods or jump jungle or whatever.
Tom Griswold
They had jungle, it was in England.
Pat Godwin
How'd they get the lions?
Chick McGee
I'm freeforming over here.
Al Jackson
How they get the lions to roam?
Chick McGee
Yeah, they should fly them in overnight. Yeah, yeah.
Christy Lee
I mean, when Hannibal and all and the elephants, all those guys.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Went on excursions, they would take animals.
Tom Griswold
Oh.
Christy Lee
Like they would find them and then take Them elephants and such.
Tom Griswold
Wow. I wonder if they did, like, dumb jokes, like, after the lion killed the guy. Killed the gladiator. Did one of the guy. Well, I bet he's glad he ate him. Get it?
Pat Godwin
I wonder if they did.
Christy Lee
I'd like to think so. The centurions had some sort of sense.
Tom Griswold
Of humor as they're digging. They're digging a hole for the guy. Well, he volunteered for this. What a tough gig.
Christy Lee
Didn't Alexander introduce, like, elephants to most? Nobody had seen one. And all of a sudden he showed up with some and they're like, what?
Tom Griswold
What?
Chick McGee
Didn't that one guy write a book about being a lion tamer?
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah. Who was that?
Tom Griswold
Oh, Claude Balls.
Chick McGee
Claude Balls. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
That's a great book.
Pat Godwin
I love that book.
Tom Griswold
It was part of that series.
Chick McGee
Can you imagine one of those big claws, your testicles.
Christy Lee
Oh, they're gone.
Chick McGee
Just rip them open.
Tom Griswold
So how did they prevent. I mean, so would the. Would the stands at these places be.
Al Jackson
High enough that the lions wouldn't eat the people?
Chick McGee
No, there were walls and then the seats started.
Christy Lee
Right. You've actually been to the Coliseum?
Al Jackson
To the Coliseum, Yeah.
Christy Lee
Where the first rose pretty high up.
Tom Griswold
But I mean, in England, did.
Al Jackson
I don't know how they were in England.
Chick McGee
Did they have lion fights people in England?
Tom Griswold
And that's what this says, Right.
Al Jackson
Or did they transport this guy from Rome to England?
Christy Lee
That's what I assumed.
Al Jackson
That's what I.
Christy Lee
It's a Roman cemetery in York.
Al Jackson
Yeah, that's what I thought.
Pat Godwin
Yes. Yeah.
Christy Lee
There may have been some gladiatorial.
Chick McGee
No, not in England. They've always been sophisticated.
Christy Lee
And they were never under Roman rule, Right?
Chick McGee
Not in my area.
Tom Griswold
This says Roman cemetery in York, England.
Al Jackson
Right.
Tom Griswold
I'm also. I'm a little. So bite marks. And they conclude it's from a land. Couldn't they be from anything?
Christy Lee
He's always skeptical of true science.
Al Jackson
I know.
Tom Griswold
I. I mean, it's a bone with a mark in it. It could have been anything.
Christy Lee
No, you can tell.
Chick McGee
Every word out of Pete Townsend's mouth is true.
Tom Griswold
What does Pete Townsend and the who have.
Chick McGee
Never mind.
Christy Lee
I trust the archaeologists and scientific experts who school went through schooling and experience.
Al Jackson
Of course.
Tom Griswold
I think they're, you know, they got a little tiny little shred of evidence. We're gonna write a book about it now. I'm just skeptical.
Christy Lee
I know you are. It's. It's adorable.
Al Jackson
It's adorable.
Tom Griswold
You know, I'm skeptical about Thomas the Celibacy of Monks.
Christy Lee
Oh, I'm not. I Think that they're.
Chick McGee
They're having at themselves would be a violation as well, right?
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Al Jackson
Yes.
Chick McGee
Well, there's no way. They don't do that.
Christy Lee
I think they've. They learned the control.
Al Jackson
I think they do.
Chick McGee
No, it.
Al Jackson
They learn the control. They do not do that.
Tom Griswold
I mean, especially the ones that are making wine.
Al Jackson
What about.
Tom Griswold
They're up there one night and he goes, you know something, Chester? I like. I like the way your ass sways.
Al Jackson
Oh, boy.
Chick McGee
Well, what about nocturnal emissions? You can't control that.
Pat Godwin
No, you can't.
Christy Lee
You ask for forgiveness.
Pat Godwin
Yeah. Release me in my dreams.
Tom Griswold
Is that a thing? Yeah. Is that a song?
Chick McGee
Is that what you say?
Pat Godwin
It isn't. It is an actual.
Al Jackson
Release me in my dream.
Chick McGee
That's a. Yeah, that sounds like an Engelbert Humperdinck song.
Tom Griswold
That's why his fans are like Galaxy Gallagher fans. They have the Visqueen in the front row. Time now to get ready to talk to Joe Theisman. Before we get to that, I want to tell you about the official coffee. What is it? Right here we've got the iced tea of the day. For me, it's the black tea. Thank you very much. Christy Lee
Concentrate and a peel and pour pod.
Tom Griswold
Peel and pour. That's all you gotta do. It's that simple. And it's revolutionizing the coffee room at your business or at your house.
Christy Lee
And I'm gonna say it's easier than peel and eat, peel and eat shrimp. Not always easy. Peel and pour. Very simple.
Tom Griswold
Peel and eat. You got that sauce over there. And you got horseradish under your fingernails. Yes.
Chick McGee
Wait a minute. Why is the sauce over there? Just move it where you can read.
Tom Griswold
The Java House motto is, you will not get horseradish under your. Under your fingernails. Is that gonna help? No. Maybe Java House, they're paying for this. They've got what? Chick McGee
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. Christy Lee, Pat Godwin, Josh or Arnold.
Christy Lee
Hi there.
Chick McGee
We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. Think O'Reilly Auto Parts. For all your car care needs. Get the parts and service you need fast from the professional parts people at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Chick McGee. And I believe we can say hello to Joe Theisman in just a second here. We're going to give Joe on the phone a good morning, guys. Oh, there he is. Hey, Joe.
Chick McGee
Hi, Joe.
Tom Griswold
How are you, sir?
Joe Theisman
Hi, everybody. Buddy.
Tom Griswold
Now, do you have.
Chick McGee
Hi, buddy.
Joe Theisman
First.
Chick McGee
How you doing? Seven.
Joe Theisman
Good.
Chick McGee
Okay, good.
Tom Griswold
Do you have your draft list in front of you?
Joe Theisman
I do. I've got a little bit of it. Some of the things I was curious about in this draft, it's an interesting draft. Lots of defense. I think there's going to be lots of defense in the first round.
Chick McGee
Mm. Have you heard the latest about Shador Sanders, Dion's son? Have you heard the quote?
Joe Theisman
No, I haven't heard the latest on it from. It seems like every hour there's a new report.
Chick McGee
Right, Right. There is. Yeah, you're right. An unnamed assistant coach in the NFL is how it's presented from the athletic. The quote is the worst formal interview I've ever been to in my life. He's so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. Time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates. But the biggest thing is, hey, he's not that good. Ooh. So do you think that that was planted? So he gets drafted where he wants to be drafted, or do you think that's a true statement or. It's tough to tell.
Joe Theisman
You know, it's, it's one person's observation. You know, certainly the way things are with Nils, it seems like there, there's a tremendous amount of young men and women in collegiate sports that, you know, have done very well. Of course, I mean, you know, Deon's his dad. I mean, and I think he's done a terrific job at Colorado. And Shador is a heck of a physical talent. The whole game gets separated after, after today because you're being drafted on what people think you might be able to do. Chadur has the ability to throw the ball, he has the ability to move around, he has ability to make plays. You know, he was under duress. I think it was sacked 90 some odd times in the last two years. So he had to be that kind of an athlete when he was at Colorado. Now what's he going to look like in a much more disciplined system? You know, these are the things that everybody has to try and project. It's the same thing with Cam Ward out of Miami. You know, what are they going to look like in the system? I'll tell you something. The most important thing that can happen to any young quarterback coming out is who the offensive coordinator is going to be for them and will they be in a system where they can survive. And Sam Darnold is the classic example. Struggle with the jets, people said he couldn't play, then Carolina couldn't play. All of a sudden he winds up in Minnesota with Kevin O'Connell and he's got himself one heck of a coach and the guy winds up capitalizing on it. Now, you know, he's in Seattle. So it's, to me, it's so important where these kids are going to wind up and who's going to be their coach as far as what their future is going to be.
Chick McGee
How, how much do the teams know? My contention is nobody really knows. As hard as they try to quantify everything with all the measurables, they really don't know for sure who to draft. And there's so much money at stake. Now, is there somebody in the NFL that you would listen to as far if you were in charge of a draft or would you just go on your gut?
Joe Theisman
Everybody's got. There's so many different drafts. I mean, you're basically going to get, you know, 85% will be a consensus decision regarding all the football teams you bet you draft on need. Okay, do you need offensive linemen? Do you need an edge rusher? Cleveland, to me is very interesting. Cleveland and New York become very interesting. In New York picking the Giants picking third as an example. They, they saw what happened when you let Saquon Barkley go, which was the worst, which ranks up there with one of the most incredibly bad. I'll be polite decisions that you could make in foot ball. But they still need a running back. They need somebody who can be an impactful individual. And Genti from Boise is going to sit there, probably. But the Cleveland Browns decide they want to take, you know, the defensive end. Do they want to take Abdul Carter and Pair him with, you know, Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett. So, I mean, you know, I mean, these. These are the kind of decisions they have to sit down and make going forward. I sent a tweet out yesterday. As far as the Cleveland Browns go, they ought to call Kevin Costner, because in draft day, I think he did a terrific job.
Chick McGee
He did a heck of a job.
Joe Theisman
Yeah. So, I mean, why not call Kevin? You know, I mean, it's the Cleveland Browns in the movie that. The Cleveland Browns.
Chick McGee
That's right.
Joe Theisman
Kevin knows what's going on.
Chick McGee
Give him a call.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Joe Theisman, what was your draft experience?
Joe Theisman
You know, it's. It wasn't like it is today. We didn't get invited anywhere. My. My draft day was very simple. I. I sat first of all the scrutiny today is so much different. We used to get letters. It's like, hey, we're thinking about drafting you and all that stuff. And I got. I got letters from the Giants, I got letters from the Cowboys. And I've always said. I've always said this was really funny. The team that you don't hear from is probably the team that's going to pick you. Somebody told me that. I didn't buy into it. So what I did on draft day is I sat in Roger Valdiseri, our public relations director's office and waited for a phone call. The first round went by. No call, because teams have said, if you're still around in the first or second round, we're going to take you. Okay, fine. So I. Second round went by. Finally I told Rogers, I'm not going to sit around here. I went down and started playing basketball. I was playing basketball at, you know, one of the. At the complex there, and. And all of a sudden the fourth round rolls around and Roger sticks his head in and he says, hey, Joe, you've been drafted. I said, well, here. He said, the Miami Dolphins. I went, oh, great. They got Bob Gracie. And, you know, I. I didn't get excited. My draft day experience was nothing like some of these young people are going through today. I mean, there'll be ups and downs. There'll be emotional highs and lows. There'll be, you know, you'll see bling like you've never seen before. Until they sign their contract, then you'll see bigger bling. I mean, it's. Well, actually, if you don't watch some. Some of these guys are probably going to take a pay cut the way things are going.
Chick McGee
You're right.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. So.
Chick McGee
But.
Joe Theisman
But, yeah, the experience we had was totally different. Than what these guys are going through.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but the lesson that one takes from this is still true, which is you can be a fourth round draft pick and be the best player in the league. Oh, yeah, eventually you did okay. I think we all know that, right?
Joe Theisman
Yeah. It doesn't matter where you start. I mean, all you want to do is get the opportunity to be on a team. Then it boils down to you. You know, what people lose sight of is that the coaches are only allowed to spend 20 hours a week with players in college football. That's about a day and a half for us. And what will separate the young, what will separate these young guys is their intellect. How quickly you can adjust to a system, how quickly you can assimilate plays, how quickly you get in and out of the huddle, how quickly you can recognize defense. The real work for these young guys starts after today, when they find out where they're going to go. And particularly at the quarterback position because the demands are so much greater than they've been before. And if you can't handle the mental part of it, you can't play. And that's just the bottom line. You may be able to run around and you may be okay, but you're never going to get where you really want to get to. And that's. Put a ring on your finger.
Tom Griswold
Finger.
Joe Theisman
Like Beyonce says, hey, put a ring on my finger.
Al Jackson
Put a ring on.
Tom Griswold
We're speaking with the author of the author of how to be a champion every Day. He is Joe Theisman. Joe, you mentioned the bling when you became successful. What was the, Was there a thing that you did or bought? I know that I had always promised myself when I got to a certain level of success, I'd get a dog, which is what I did. I know some people get a fancy car or a watch. Is there anything in particular you did once you thought, I'm okay, I'm going to be all right for a while?
Joe Theisman
I. Well, you got to remember in 1984, I was the fourth, fourth highest paid player in the National Football League. Now I'd been on, we won a championship. I was an MVP of the league. And at a million dollars a year, I was the fourth highest paid player in the league. The highest paid player in the league was Warren Moon at 1.4 million. So, you know, you put into perspective what you, what you go get. I, I got myself a Corvette. Oh, and treated myself to a Johnny Greenwood. Made 15 Corvettes at that time. And Mark Mosley got one. I got one. And that's but you know, the signing bonuses were like $50,000, $70,000. It isn't like, like it is today. And you know, interestingly enough for the rookies, all these guys are capped. You're basically slotted in at a certain number.
Chick McGee
Right.
Joe Theisman
And that it's, it's not set up to break the bank anymore. You know, that's why, that's why a team like Washington has such great cap room, because their young, terrific quarterback Jaden Daniels still has a couple of years left before they could hit that 40, $50 million salary. Yeah. And it's interesting, you know, I think Eli Manning, you know, the Manning decided that they didn't want to go somewhere. Wherever Shadur gets drafted, you have to ask yourself, are they going to play hardball and want to be traded from that team if his, you know, his dad and the people advising him look at it and say, you don't have a chance to be successful here. I don't think I want to be there. I think that's a real possibility. I think Aaron Rodgers not playing football is a real possibility because at this stage of his career, if he goes somewhere, he's going to have to go to ota, he's going to have to go to minicamps to be a leader of a football team. When he went to the jets, he was the assistant general manager there.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Joe Theisman
Knew the coach, knew the system, picked out people he wanted on the football team. That's not going to happen now. So does he really want to go through all this in the off season again at this stage of his life? His legacy is, I mean, you know, the four time mvp, world champion, I mean all of the things that he's accomplished in the game of football. Now do you really want to do that again? That's the question that I think is very curious.
Tom Griswold
Hey Joe, did you see the size of that one guy? I know that you've experienced being hit by a very large man.
Chick McGee
He's six, six like 464 or something. I think he's going to Alabama. Is that right?
Joe Theisman
Yeah, I, I, you know, these people block out the sun.
Chick McGee
Well, I tell the, they really do. I tell these guys Joe all the time. When Joe Jacoby first came into the league, he was 6, 6 like 305 pounds. And he was the by far the largest offensive lineman in the NFL. And that was just.
Joe Theisman
He was a free agent. Yeah, he was a free agent from Louisville.
Chick McGee
Right.
Joe Theisman
I'll tell you a story about Joe Jacoby. So Joe Bugle is our offensive line coach. In Washington. So Joe Jacoby comes into, you know, Bugs Briggs. Joe, to meet with Joe Gibbs. And so Bugle comes in, he says, hey look, we, you know, this kid's really good, he's really big and all this stuff. He says, hey, we, we've got defensive lineman. He says, no, he's an offensive tackle. He was the biggest guy in football because I've been around. If you look up the picture of Andre the Giant.
Chick McGee
Oh yeah, that's true.
Joe Theisman
And Mike. Yeah, that, that'll give you an idea how big some of these kids are today. But yeah, I mean it's the size is, it's not just the size, it's the athleticism that they have. Yeah, I mean it just. Fridge Perry, for example, was well over £300. He could sit on the ground and put his forehead, you know, bend forward and put his forehead on the ground. That's how, that's how agile he was.
Chick McGee
Man, that's amazing.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I'm thinking if I'm Aaron Rodgers thinking, maybe I've got plenty of money in the bank. Yeah, things are going okay.
Chick McGee
That'd be a tough one to decide to go back and play and get into that.
Tom Griswold
I've got a 400 pound guy running at me. Maybe, maybe I'll pass. Joe Theisman is an NFL great and the author of how to Be a Champion Every Day. And he does a lot of speaking, et cetera, et cetera. Also Joe of course appeared in Cannonball Run 2. Can't forget that.
Joe Theisman
Yep. And then did my homework. My Hallmark movie.
Tom Griswold
Was that fun doing that, by the way?
Joe Theisman
Way it really was. We actually shot the Hallmark Hallmark Shipster movies in Vancouver, British Columbia. And we shot, we shot, I did two of them and each one's allocated 15 days. Oh, it's, you know, you go from dawn to dusk and past that to be able to get it done. But what a great experience. It was great bunch of people, you know, and I don't think there's anything, you know, better out in television than a Hallmark movie. I mean they're just feel good movies. Same basic group of people. You know, you're going to have the parents, you're going to have a two people moving towards love and then you're going to have a friend of one of them or a friend of both of them. And then all of a sudden it's everybody kumbayas away, they just go off into the sunset. Happily ever after.
Tom Griswold
Joe, this is probably the least important NFL story coming out today, but that TV show called the Golden Bachelor, the The new golden bachelor is former NFL player Mel Owens. Interestingly enough, he was a Ram.
Chick McGee
Joe. I don't remember him, but maybe.
Joe Theisman
Unfortunately I don't either. But I wish him a lot of luck.
Tom Griswold
I'm hoping that the, the competition involves. Involves asking the ladies to put on heels. Put on heels and go out for a pass.
Joe Theisman
Obviously. Obviously. Love has a senior tour.
Tom Griswold
Joe, it's always a great pleasure. Thanks so much and we'll look forward to speaking to you again.
Chick McGee
Thanks, buddy.
Joe Theisman
Oh, listen, I do too. Thanks for having me, everybody.
Tom Griswold
Thank you, Joe.
Joe Theisman
Bye Bye.
Tom Griswold
Say, look at that. He loves the Hallmark movies just like we do.
Chick McGee
Yeah, he looks forward to the meet cute.
Tom Griswold
I did. I was, I, you know, I resisted saying meet cute because I didn't want, I didn't want John to give me the look.
Chick McGee
I would have given you the look probably, but it would have been fine.
Tom Griswold
You know, meet cute does also sound like a sex move. Okay, I gave her the old meat cute.
Chick McGee

Tom Griswold
Say what's coming up, Christy Lee.
Al Jackson
Coming up, we have something removed from someone's backside. Again. We still have to get to airline etiquette. And we have, we have. Are you a fan of the vodka spritzers?
Christy Lee
I've never had one.
Al Jackson
Oh, well, they're, they're quite popular. And. And we have a guy being chased by the cops who offered a cup of vodka spritzer.
Chick McGee
You know what I put in my vodka spritzer?
Tom Griswold
What?
Chick McGee
Well, you get your vodka. You put your vodka in there, you get some ice, and then you put more vodka.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Chick McGee
And I call it a spritzer.
Tom Griswold
Also, an interesting friend of the show in the news in a very odd way.
Al Jackson
Yes, I have that story as well. I was just about to tease that, but I didn't know if you already knew about it.
Tom Griswold
Oh, it's.
Al Jackson
Yeah, it's great. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
That's all I can say. Yeah. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Josh Arnold
Thanks for listening to the Bob and Tom Show. Sponsored in part by Java House. The official coffee and refreshments of the Bob and Tom.
Tom Griswold
Here on the way.
Chick McGee
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. Thanks again to Joe Theisman, number seven in your program, number one in your heart.
Christy Lee
Always great to hear from him.
Chick McGee
Quarterback of the Washington Redskins at the time. There's Christy Lee at the SILAC Insurance news desk. Hello, Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey, Chick.
Chick McGee
Hello, Josh Arnold.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Chick.
Chick McGee
We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick McGee. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Chick McGee. Now, before we move on, kind of an odd thing in the news. Good friend of the show in the news, in the entertainment world. Christy, you want to enlighten?
Al Jackson
Yeah. I was gonna see if Jason, our producer, could find audio of this, but last night, if you're a fan of the Masked Singer, they had the Soundtrack of My Life episode. And one of the contestants on the show was dressed as Nessie. Oh, you know, the giant.
Christy Lee
The very real Loch Ness monster.
Al Jackson
Yes. It came down to a very, very, very slim margin. But Nessie was voted off. I guess that's how it works. I don't know. And it was our friend Edwin McCain.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Al Jackson
Yes.
Christy Lee
Is that right?
Al Jackson
Masked Singer.
Christy Lee
He was the Masked Singer last night.
Al Jackson
He certainly was. So congratulations. He made it pretty far and I guess it was a very close vote. Robin Thicke got it right, Jimmy. Jenny McCarthy, Wahlberg, guest, Johnny Resnick from Goo Goo Dolls. Rita Ora named Dave Matthews. And Ken Young went with John Popper from Blues Travel. Okay, so it was.
Tom Griswold
I'll be.
Al Jackson
I'll be. Edwin says, you know, I'm up for anything. Why not?
Tom Griswold
Not.
Christy Lee
Yeah, why not?
Al Jackson
Why not?
Tom Griswold
That's funny. By the way, he is a terrific guy. Edward McCain is one of my favorite guests.
Al Jackson
Yeah. And he said he really loves singing Lady Gaga, which I thought was cool. I would like to hear that. I'll try to. We'll try to get some audio of that. Maybe we have it. Do we have some.
Christy Lee
We'll have some on the screen.
Al Jackson
Oh, okay.
Tom Griswold
Well, why don't you do a quick story? We'll get back to Edwin.
Christy Lee
There it is.
Al Jackson
There he is.
Tom Griswold
There we go.
Chick McGee
There he is in the Nestle suit.
Pat Godwin
Try to make the west seem better. I've got a hundred million reasons.
Al Jackson
I don't know.
Christy Lee
That sounds good.
Al Jackson
Yeah, he sounds great. I wouldn't have guessed that was Edwin.
Christy Lee
Yeah, me neither.
Al Jackson
Would you.
Tom Griswold
So he's recorded that? He's not singing in that dumb costume?
Christy Lee
No, no, I believe they do.
Chick McGee
They.
Al Jackson
Have a mic in there and you.
Christy Lee
Can holding the mic to his neck. Cuz obviously the Nessie head is way tall. Nessie's wearing a kilt by the way. Which is a. Culturally.
Chick McGee
That's nice. I like the way he's using Nessie's arm to gesticulate as he's singing.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, we'll have to get him on the phone. Yeah.
Al Jackson
We have to hear about this. He said it was really hot in that costume.
Christy Lee
Oh, I bet.
Al Jackson
Really hot.
Tom Griswold
But he's actually singing?
Al Jackson
Yes.
Christy Lee
Boy, I sure hope so. I think they do.
Pat Godwin
I was pretty dead on. But he can sing.
Chick McGee
It seems like you're not.
Al Jackson
You're not buying it.
Chick McGee
Buying it.
Tom Griswold
It sounds. Sounded to me like it was. I mean it's like the national anthem. Sometimes it's being lip synced.
Christy Lee
But he's a very good.
Tom Griswold
I know he's a very good singer, but I just can't imagine he would sound that good wearing that dumb suit.
Christy Lee
Shocked to hear you say that. He's not good enough to sing live. Why would you say that about Edwin McCain?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that's what I said. Those are coming up tomorrow. Tomorrow we have Loch Ness news for Josh. Very compelling evidence. Yes, yes.
Al Jackson
Nessie in the news. Real Nessie.
Tom Griswold
We'll. We'll look forward to that.
Al Jackson
So congratulations to Edwin. That was fun.
Christy Lee
Yeah, that must have been fun, huh?
Al Jackson
Yeah, of course it was. Kind of had to be fun, right? A 60 year 2 year old man was left thanking his doctors recently after they successfully removed a flashing kids toy from inside his rectum.
Tom Griswold
Wish they could see it. Yeah, got that going for him.
Chick McGee
Wait a minute. What? What was it?
Al Jackson
A flashing kid's toy.
Chick McGee
Oh.
Al Jackson
The man went to the Lianzhou People's hospital complaining of severe pain in the backside.
Chick McGee
Sounds like a great hospital.
Al Jackson
And admitted that a foreign body Was stuck up there. Later revealed to be a 2 1/2 inch diameter ball. The ball was a transparent sphere with two cartoon faces on either side and contained smaller ball bearings and a red liquid.
Christy Lee
I love these. That you bounce them. And when you bounce them, they, like, light up.
Chick McGee
Oh, really?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
And they feel real good in your butt.
Pat Godwin
See, in the dark.
Chick McGee
Isn't the. Isn't the story when this happens that people always say I. I fell on it?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
It was an accident.
Al Jackson
He didn't say how it happened.
Tom Griswold
They got it out.
Al Jackson
Yeah. An anal digital exam revealed that the ball was stuck in the man's rectum around 3 inches away from his analysis, by the way.
Christy Lee
That deep?
Tom Griswold
Yeah. But this is what's interesting. The term digital here, that means fingers. It means. Yeah, it means. I bet in the culture we live in. You think, oh, it was done digitally. Did AI go in and grab this thing in his ass? No, no, no. A guy rammed his fingers in there and.
Chick McGee
Hey, hey, hey, hey. You don't need. Ram.
Tom Griswold
Slipped his fingers in there.
Chick McGee
All right.
Tom Griswold
And by the way, first he had to get the slinky out of the way, and then he got the. He said, I was just doing a magic trick for my grandson.
Chick McGee
How do you. You got to work up to this, I guess.
Al Jackson
I would think 3 inches going on there. Pretty good size, right?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
That is.
Al Jackson
I'm guessing it's two and a half inches. Whatever.
Tom Griswold
Drunk, drunken night in Shanghai. And I guess looking for something and stretches out.
Chick McGee
It's like anything you're used to. You're used to the baseball bats. So you go up to.
Tom Griswold
But I believe it was the great Genesis song. They once said, you've got to get in to get out. Out.
Christy Lee
Oh, is that what they were referring to?
Tom Griswold
Children, I think you got. You got to think ahead if you're doing this. How am I going to get this thing out of there?
Christy Lee
Yeah. That's not easy to get back. You know, you want something with. You want a. Yo, yo. It has a string.
Pat Godwin
There you go, right there.
Christy Lee
It's perfect.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Maybe heavy twine, if not a chain.
Christy Lee
Right, Right.
Chick McGee
I've said it before. I'll say it again. It's a vacuum back there. It will suck an object in once it goes past a point. Okay. Okay.
Christy Lee
The rectum has quite an undertow, doesn't he?
Edwin McCain
Careful.
Chick McGee
Do you ask for it?
Tom Griswold
Do you ask for it back?
Pat Godwin
I would, yes.
Al Jackson
Would you really?
Pat Godwin
I'd probably give it back to you, yeah.
Christy Lee
They're not gonna keep it now. He knows better. He only has to put it in a little bit.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but little Jimmy wants to play with his double cartoon electric ball.
Christy Lee
What do you think the recidivism, if you will, of a toy in the anus is?
Tom Griswold
Weren't you you again Something? I'll bet. But it's very common.
Al Jackson
Authorities in Florida say a man who led officers on a high speed car chase offered deputies a Vika spritzer and asked if, quote, they had fun during the pursuit. The Highlands county sheriff's office and deputies responding to a theft report launched a pursuit when the suspect sped off. At one point, the suspect drove by. A deputy leaned out the window while holding a can of kettle one vodka spritz and said, I was just going to give you a drink. That's it.
Christy Lee
That's funny.
Al Jackson
Sheriff's official said the man then attempted to ram two patrol vehicles in the midst of getting all four tires flattened by spike strips.
Chick McGee
What the hell?
Al Jackson
He was eventually tased and after being handcuffed, the man asked deputies, you guys had fun though, right?
Tom Griswold
Was this good time? Right?
Christy Lee
Like the heckler after I helped, huh?
Pat Godwin
Spikes.
Tom Griswold
Those are fun. So if I'm one of the cops a month from now when this guy's in the big house, you walk up and go, hey, came to visit. You having fun now?
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah, we had some laughs, right.
Christy Lee
Fellas, you were drinking a vodka spritzer. So I know you catch.
Pat Godwin
You will enjoy your stay.
Al Jackson
The 39 year old faces numerous charges including aggravated assault on a law law enforcement officer, a dui and this says petite theft.
Tom Griswold
They always sell they A petty theft is P E T I T right?
Al Jackson
Oh, I don't know. Is that right?
Christy Lee
I didn't know that either. I thought it was petty as you're being petty.
Chick McGee
I thought like Tom Petty.
Al Jackson
I didn't know petite Kyle Petty or.
Chick McGee
Kyle Petty or Richard Petty.
Al Jackson
I wasn't aware.
Tom Griswold
In any event, I like that.
Al Jackson
It's very French.
Tom Griswold
The guy got tased. Yeah, that'll teach him.
Christy Lee
Sound like he deserved it.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Ramming.
Tom Griswold
Ramming police cars. Yeah, no kidding.
Chick McGee
Ramming speed.
Christy Lee
Well, you guys had a good time, right?
Pat Godwin
You want to hit on this?
Christy Lee
No.
Tom Griswold
Backwash. Give me a break.
Chick McGee
Cannonball. Cannonball.
Tom Griswold
All right, well, thank you very much. I'll tell you this. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios and this is the Bob and Tom Show.
Josh Arnold
Hey, thanks for listening to the Bob and Tom show this morning. Get a look at today's show on our YouTube channel.
Tom Griswold
Time to win serious money.
Chick McGee
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Top show at The SILAC Insurance news desk. It's Christy Lee.
Tom Griswold
Hi.
Chick McGee
There's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey, Chick.
Chick McGee
Got a song here, buddy. Sure, I'd love to hear one. That'd be nice, wouldn't it?
Christy Lee
Maybe he could sing to Al Jackson.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Oh, I'd love to see.
Chick McGee
Yeah, that'd be good. I'm Chick McGee. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studio. Hello, Tom. There's our guest. Say hello.
Tom Griswold
Oh, there he is in the big screen.
Al Jackson
Hi, Al.
Tom Griswold
It is comedian Al Jackson joining us from his. Oh, your home in. In. In Denver, Colorado, today between the Vines.
Chick McGee
Of the Friendly Confines, a Wrigley Field. That's where. John.
Tom Griswold
It does look like you're out in the ivy with that. Is that like shag or is that supposed to be grass? What's happening behind you?
Edwin McCain
Do you think I have shag carpet on my wall?
Tom Griswold
Wall like Elvis.
Edwin McCain
Did people put shag carpeting on walls?
Pat Godwin
Yeah, Elvis did at Grace.
Chick McGee
You know what? Now that. Now that you mentioned. I think it was a Berber for the wall. You're right.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Wall to wall carpet.
Edwin McCain
Did anybody have a grandmother that put shag carpeting on the toilet? Yeah, the top of the toilet. Legit carpet.
Chick McGee
Yep.
Tom Griswold
And the thing was. Yeah. My Aunt Florence did that. And you had to hold your thumb on the seat. The seat cover. Right. Because when you put the top up, it would fall down too thick.
Edwin McCain
That.
Tom Griswold
So you had to. If you. In other words, that only left you one hand to operate the anaconda. Christie, if you're following me here.
Al Jackson
So it's like a water wiggle, Is that what you're saying?
Tom Griswold
You got to be careful.
Al Jackson
Okay.
Tom Griswold
I like. I'm a. I'm a. I hold it like a baseball bat. I don't know about you guys.
Chick McGee
So large.
Christy Lee
I need pine tar.
Tom Griswold
We're speaking with comedian Al Jackson, and Al's been doing some road work with Willie and Frank Caliendo. How's that going? Are you back in the road? Is it this week or next week?
Edwin McCain
What are you guys doing starting this week? I'm in Rapid City, South Dakota, this weekend by myself. But then I joined the boys. We'll be in Milwaukee on the. On Sunday, I believe that is. And then we'll be hitting Minneapolis Acme for some incredible shows. So, I mean, we really are bonding like a sitcom, you know, I just.
Tom Griswold
Your.
Edwin McCain
Your son is so fun to do standup with. Frank is okay. I tolerate him. We take separate cars and we don't talk. But, you know, it's.
Tom Griswold
It.
Edwin McCain
It truly Is. And let me just say this. Shout out to Omaha. Frank and I did the. The Omaha Funny bone. The tornado sirens went off while we were in the green room before the show started. Me and Frank are freaking out. Nobody moved, Tom.
Al Jackson
Oh.
Edwin McCain
Oh, they are. So they were just like, yeah, we'll do the show. The tornadoes passed us. I was like, are we sure?
Christy Lee
I was at that exact same funny bone. The Omaha funny bone. And the tornado sirens went off and. And we had to stop the show. And everybody in the crowd and the comedians, we all got in the stairwell. So we were just sitting there talking to the crowd.
Tom Griswold
Did you do a little crowd work?
Christy Lee
We all kind of just talked and answered questions and chatted.
Edwin McCain
Josh was down there moving merch, and.
Christy Lee
Then Colleen came out, was like, hey, you guys can go back into the showroom. And we just finished the show, man.
Tom Griswold
I just.
Chick McGee
I love.
Tom Griswold
I love Al's notion. Can you imagine, had it been Bob Zany, he would have have been pushing the merch.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Hey, you know, when we get back on stage.
Christy Lee
So they must have learned, hey, nothing happens, really.
Chick McGee
So don't go to the afterlife without my cd. Let's go.
Tom Griswold
Okay. So. So, Al, when do you start this weekend. Where's that again?
Edwin McCain
Now, I'm at the West River Comedy Club in rapid City, S.D. tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. So hop in the car. Come Holly me in South Dakota. We're going to. We're going to. I've heard it's a really fun club from everybody that's been there, so it'll be my first time in Rapid City, so I can't wait.
Tom Griswold
All right. All right. Well, once again, we're speaking with Al Jackson. Al likes to enlighten me on the latest in street lingo. Let's get to it. Al, you got a little something for me?
Edwin McCain
I do, Tom, if I say something is selling, what do I mean if something is selling?
Tom Griswold
Is it obvious? I mean, is it. This is. This is very, very popular. That thing is really selling. Selling.
Edwin McCain
It's just kind of like, remember, remember we talked earlier in the. In the year about, like, something is giving. Like, if Christy Lee has on, like, a pink coat, you would say, that's giving me Easter. Like, it's giving you the vibe of Easter. So kind of like, if I say that's kind of, you know, you know, Chicks overcoat is kind of selling. What am I saying about it?
Tom Griswold
Oh, so it's somewhat derogatory.
Chick McGee
What?
Edwin McCain
Well, you tell me. What do you think?
Christy Lee
Let's say I'm wearing a rolex I'm not a Rolex guy. That's not my style. That's not my personality. If I have one on, he's kind of selling something he ain't.
Al Jackson
I like that. I like that.
Tom Griswold
Like, you're kind of posturing and selling.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Edwin McCain
Now, however, and just almost to the point where it's, like, unnecessary. I think that's the weird thing is, like, when people try and flex money or wealth or power into, like, not the time or place, and somebody's got, like, that gold Rolex on, and you're like, dude, we're at a barbecue in my backyard. Like, Josh doesn't even have shoes on. We're just hanging out.
Tom Griswold
You mean like a better example, like, Josh is always dropping the names of fancy fishing lures.
Christy Lee
Sure. Yeah. Yeah. I got a new spro. Spinner bait.
Chick McGee
Oh, really? Yeah.
Christy Lee
It's the mad Eye diver. Yeah.
Chick McGee
However, Tom, do you know what. Know what the word selly means?
Christy Lee
S E, L, L, Y, S. Oh.
Tom Griswold
I have no idea.
Pat Godwin
Oh, I know what it means.
Chick McGee
That's what.
Pat Godwin
Cellmate.
Chick McGee
Nope.
Tom Griswold
Nope.
Chick McGee
Well, I guess it could be, but it's a celebration.
Christy Lee
Oh, oh.
Chick McGee
Team wins the championship. Oh, they're.
Al Jackson
They're.
Chick McGee
They're hitting the sully or what? Yeah, they're.
Tom Griswold
I was not aware of that.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Edwin McCain
Okay, well, I thought that was an old school cell phone.
Chick McGee
Oh, the old Selly. Yeah. Hit me on the celly.
Tom Griswold
All right. Al, you got one more for me? We.
Edwin McCain
I do, Tom. Let's go with the one that we're gonna knock out of the park. Tom, tell me what a pick me girl is. I'll tell you this, Christy Lee is not one of these pick me girl.
Christy Lee
It's the girl who pulls the balls on the lotto thing.
Edwin McCain
A pick me girl does take forever.
Tom Griswold
Is it? Is it?
Al Jackson
It's a hot girl's wingman.
Tom Griswold
So this.
Chick McGee
I would.
Tom Griswold
This isn't the. The girl in your math class in fifth grade that. I've got it. Pick me, Pick me. I've got the. Right.
Edwin McCain
Okay, so translate exactly what you just said to, like, kind of like, social.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah, She's.
Christy Lee
Is she thirsty?
Chick McGee
She's thirsty.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Chick McGee
You remember what thirsty was, Tom?
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Chick McGee
Okay, what is it then?
Tom Griswold
A thirsty girl is a woman who is desperate for some kind of. Of roll in the hay with any. Some rando.
Christy Lee
She just wants the attention.
Edwin McCain
You should have been saying that to a classroom of young FBI.
Chick McGee
Very correct and very stiff. I love it.
Tom Griswold
Looking to hook up, if you will. That's the current parlance.
Chick McGee
Beware of the thirsty girl cadets with some random.
Tom Griswold
Who likes what you're saying, Selling, if you will.
Al Jackson
Oh, look at you.
Tom Griswold
Oh, he has a Rolex. I want to go kiss him.
Christy Lee
Can we isolate that?
Chick McGee
That was. Yeah, that was really.
Pat Godwin
Isolate that one.
Chick McGee
Really convincing, by the way. Way to go, Tom.
Pat Godwin
Good act.
Tom Griswold
And actually, we have a new story coming up, Al, about a massive cache of fake jewelry, et cetera, et cetera, in the news.
Edwin McCain
I.
Tom Griswold
There. Because isn't Rolex the one who watched that? There's lots and lots and lots of fake ones.
Edwin McCain
I think there's probably more fake ones than real ones. And, you know, at this point, I mean, it's the same with knockoff bags. Unless you're in that area. Like, I don't know if that's a real Prada bag, and I don't care.
Al Jackson
Right, Exactly.
Edwin McCain
Have at it.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. That's a huge business. Huge. Yeah, we got. We got a big story coming up about that. Once again, we're speaking with comedian Al. Jack Maxson. And, Al, what was interesting, we found out earlier this morning that our good friend Edwin McCain was actually on the. The TV show the Singing Nun.
Al Jackson
No, the Masks.
Tom Griswold
The Masked Singer. And have you ever considered. Would you like to go on one of those shows or, like, on the Bachelor or on Dancing with the Stars? Yeah. Dancing with. Any of those. Would that be something you'd want to do?
Edwin McCain
I will say this. And this is. This is tr. Me showing how you can evolve as a person. I used to look at shows, like, especially, like, Dancing with the Stars, and I'd be like, that is the lamest show I've ever seen in my. And then I watched with my girl, and just seeing how hard they work and the injuries, there is no way that I could do that show, like, physically that. It looks really intense, like, and it seems like the Masked Singer. It just seems really hot. I don't like putting a head on top of my head.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, apparently, that's what Edwin was saying that we're gonna talk to him. We'll find out.
Edwin McCain
But, yeah, I was. I was on blind date time. That's enough.
Pat Godwin
Oh, that's right. You were on blind.
Tom Griswold
Oh, refresh my memory. Refresh my memory. That was a while back, though, right?
Edwin McCain
Oh, that was before I started comedy, when I was just in Miami drinking my face off and partying and having the best life ever. This woman approached me. She was like, do you want to be on blind date? And I kind of knew what it was. But back then, you got to remember there used to Be like the fifth wheel and eliminate. There was like this weird genre of dating show. So, like, I didn't even really know which one she was talking about it, but it was the one with the bubbles where they're like, I'll say something to Christy Lee and then they'll be like, al really doesn't like where this dates go.
Al Jackson
Okay.
Edwin McCain
With Roger Lodge.
Pat Godwin
They got snarky.
Edwin McCain
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. They just announced the new guy for the Golden Bachelor. Bachelor. He's some. He's some former NFL player who's the.
Al Jackson
University of Michigan I played there.
Chick McGee
Mel Owens, I guess.
Al Jackson
Oh, yeah.
Edwin McCain
Do you guys remember him? I don't remember him.
Chick McGee
I don't.
Al Jackson
Nope. Joe Theisman didn't remember him.
Edwin McCain
Now, Tom, tell me, is it racist that when I heard Mel Owens, I'm like, finally, they're giving a black defensive lineman a chance on the Golden Bachelor.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Edwin McCain
That is a black man's name from the late 60s.
Chick McGee
Shut up.
Tom Griswold
He's a 100%. He's a white dude with a lot of forehead.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
I just can't stand those shows now.
Al Jackson
He's a lawyer.
Tom Griswold
They are.
Al Jackson
Golden Bachelor is pretty fun to watch.
Christy Lee
It.
Edwin McCain
It Christy Lee. I wanted to hate on it.
Al Jackson
Me too.
Edwin McCain
I watch shows to hate on them.
Al Jackson
Yep.
Edwin McCain
I love that freaking show. The guys were just like, genuinely. I think it showed that, like a lot of guys, we have trouble making friends as we get older.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Al Jackson
Oh.
Edwin McCain
I think women have more activities to meet each other. Like guys.
Al Jackson
Yeah.
Edwin McCain
They were just happy to be with each other.
Al Jackson
Really.
Edwin McCain
Didn't really have nothing to do with her.
Al Jackson
Al's talking about the Golden Bachelorette, and he's correct. These guys really did bond in this house. And some of those. No, I'm serious. Like, they didn't have friends for life.
Tom Griswold
Okay, so it's a bunch of guys. It's a bunch of guys living in a house.
Al Jackson
Yeah. You try to be genuine. You try to be sweet.
Chick McGee
This is no place for that.
Al Jackson
Not in this room.
Tom Griswold
You're just figuring that out? Wasn't that in the job description?
Christy Lee
There's a special irony about trying to be genuine when discussing reality tv.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Oh, yeah. He. He said. This guy said that he wants to find love again, rooted in the simple joy of companionship.
Christy Lee
He wants to get his wick dipped.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, please.
Al Jackson
The thing is, he's pretty handsome. He lives in la.
Christy Lee
Yeah, you're right.
Tom Griswold
To do it with a bunch of cameras. Cameras around. Then they get up. Then they get upset when they get dumped. Come on.
Christy Lee
Then a producer walks up and goes, hey, be a little more upset when.
Al Jackson
You say that, but he's got two teenage sons, and they're the ones that encouraged him to do this. And so I think it's a little bit more special than just the Bachelor.
Tom Griswold
Or his teenage sons are going to be embarrassed.
Al Jackson
No, I don't. They encouraged him to do.
Tom Griswold
Hey, I saw your dad giving the high hard one to Betsy. To the fifth. Yeah, but at least you can vet them.
Edwin McCain
You know, at least they're vetted to some point. I mean, really? Isn't that really what you guys are the dating apps are for? Just to vet somebody a little so you can at least be like, I don't want to be with a smoker or something. Okay. That'll at least get rid of that. Or do you think you should still meet people free range?
Al Jackson
It's hard to meet people free Range. I'm gonna take care of the show now.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Edwin McCain
Christy, it's just me and you. Josh isn't even getting close to his mic.
Christy Lee
He's laughing.
Tom Griswold
I love you guys.
Al Jackson
He just made a major po. Faux paw that we'll talk about later. But improv has its pitfalls.
Tom Griswold
This where you say no, and.
Chick McGee
And that's what makes it so exciting.
Tom Griswold
Okay, well, we gotta run anyway.
Al Jackson
Oh, gosh. Al.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Al. Have. Have a. Have a great weekend. We'll see you with Frank.
Al Jackson
Rapid City. It looks like the weather's gonna be warm for you, too. Do there.
Tom Griswold
You just looked up the. The weather forecast because it's cold in.
Al Jackson
Rapid City, South Dakota, but it's going to warm up when Al gets there. Yeah, it'll be near 70 on Saturday, so.
Tom Griswold
Okay, thank you. Talk to you again soon. Speaking of love.
Chick McGee
No, I think we should speak about what just happened.
Tom Griswold
Let's not. Speaking of love. Isn't this the show where they get. They give you the rose every week or something? How does that work?
Al Jackson
That's exactly what. Right. That's where Steven Singer should give these roses.
Chick McGee
They all do that, I think.
Tom Griswold
How does that work? What does that mean when you.
Al Jackson
That means when you get the rose, you get to stay for another week. If you don't get a rose, you.
Tom Griswold
Go home crying in your limo.
Al Jackson
Yeah. Yeah, they cry in the limo.
Tom Griswold
Well, and speaking of real roses, Stephen Singer has a great idea, and it's the Blue Moon rose. It's a real rose. Limited edition, real rose dipped in 24 karat gold. Gold. Chick McGee
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom show. Christy Lee at the news desk.
Al Jackson
Howdy.
Chick McGee
Hey, Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hi, Chick McGee.
Chick McGee
There's Josh Arnold.
Christy Lee
Hi.
Chick McGee
We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick McGee and here's Tom Griswold.
Tom Griswold
Well, thank you very much.
Chick McGee
Welcome.
Tom Griswold
We have an opportunity to once again visit with Christy Lee at the SILAC insurance news desk.
Al Jackson
Well, welcome. Come on.
Tom Griswold
To find out what's going on in the world.
Chick McGee
And it says open.
Al Jackson
Doesn't your visitors visiting come in? U. S. Customs officers in El Paso, Texas intercepted over $9 million of counterfeit luxury jewelry in a single shipment. The agency said the consignment shipment originating from China contained more than 1700 jewelry items such as rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces which resembled the well known luxury brand Van Cleef and Arpels Alhambra line.
Christy Lee
Are you familiar with that?
Al Jackson
I am not.
Chick McGee
It used to be, I want to say they would provide game show prices.
Al Jackson
Van Cleef and Arpels.
Chick McGee
Today's jewelry brought to you by Van Cleef and Arpel.
Christy Lee
Did you know they actually are merging with some jeans companies? Yeah, that jewelry, they're going to have jewelry. Embossed jeans. It's the Lee's Van Cleef.
Tom Griswold
Oh, wait a minute. Oh, that's the. Oh, that's the line. Wait a second. We can build on this. And they cost. They cost a few dollars more.
Christy Lee
Thank you.
Al Jackson
Well, I don't get it.
Chick McGee
Lee Van Cleef, he was just in a Twilight Zone. I watched last night.
Tom Griswold
No kidding. Lee Van Cleef was in the Clint Eastwood spaghetti Westerns.
Christy Lee
He was always some old grizzled western guy.
Tom Griswold
A fistful of dollars for a few dollars more episode of Twilight.
Chick McGee
Twilight Zone. Lee Van Cleef, Strother Martin, Lee Marvin. Whoa. All in the same 30 minute twilight.
Christy Lee
That's awesome.
Chick McGee
It's unbelievable. Yeah.
Al Jackson
The trademark holder confirmed the goods were not legitimate and the counterfeit jewelry was seized.
Tom Griswold
This is bad news for those kiosks at the mall. Oh, this purse is a fake. Or on this. Walking the streets of New York.
Al Jackson
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Oh, wow. A Louis Vuitton for $6 dollars. What do you think?
Al Jackson
Real happen?
Chick McGee
It smells like gasoline.
Al Jackson
Pennsylvania authorities say a Johnstown area man is facing charges for groping an employee at a Sheets convenience store store.
Tom Griswold
Good morning.
Chick McGee
Good morning, John. Good morning, John.
Tom Griswold
Now Sheets.
Al Jackson
Sheets is spelled S H E E T Z. I'm a fan.
Pat Godwin
They're huge.
Christy Lee
Yeah, all over the place.
Chick McGee
Sporting goods or groceries?
Al Jackson
It's a convenience store.
Pat Godwin
Gas. You walk in, there's a computer where you can order your food. The food's delicious.
Christy Lee
Yeah, it's a good place.
Al Jackson
According to West Hills Police, 49 year old Keith Poplinski. Poplinski repeatedly touched the male employee's groin area while he was cleaning the store's coffee machines. Store surveillance shows up My beans. The suspect attempting to shake the employee's hand. After the incident, the 49 year old charged with disorderly conduct and open lewdness. At least ambulies noted that the employee told the suspect to stop touching him. The victim told officers that he did not know the suspect personally and only knew of him as a frequent customer of the store.
Christy Lee
They're making a biopic of this.
Tom Griswold
Do you see?
Al Jackson
No, I didn't.
Christy Lee
Kevin Spacey's gonna play the guy. He's been sort of pigeonholed.
Tom Griswold
Very fine actor.
Christy Lee
Oh, I totally agree.
Tom Griswold
I. I don't know what his personal life is like.
Christy Lee
I'm fine with him being in movies. He didn't grab my penis.
Tom Griswold
So the sheet.
Christy Lee
I'd be so lucky.
Tom Griswold
So this guy didn't work at the Sheet store. He was just a customer that came in and is allegedly assaulting an employee at the store.
Christy Lee
You can't that's super creepy.
Al Jackson
Yes.
Tom Griswold
You gave him the old Harvey Weinstein Hill. Hello.
Edwin McCain
Creepy.
Tom Griswold
Super creepy. Okay, I'm looking up this Van Cleef and Arpels stuff.
Al Jackson
Van Cleef and Arpels have been around for a long time. I think they were associated with the Academy Awards for.
Tom Griswold
I just, I just googled it. The first thing they show is a bracelet for $32,400.
Chick McGee
Boy, that's a lot. Maybe you don't have what it takes to shop at Van Cle.
Al Jackson
Oh, apparently the Alhambra collection, you've. If you saw a picture of it, you would know it immediately because a lot of spin offs. I know Roberto Coin does a similar type. Look, it's kind of, it's very popular.
Chick McGee
Hi, welcome to Gold Digger Monthly. Christy Lee's our sponsor.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that's, there's a, it's, there's a woman that Jeff, Oscar comedian and current member of our crew was telling me about. This woman is able to ignite her, her flatulence.
Al Jackson
Yes.
Tom Griswold
And actually get a balloon to burst from six feet away. And she shops at Van Queef and our Souls.
Christy Lee
British.
Tom Griswold
Yes. It's, it's a, they have, they have jewelry that. It's for fart lighters. Okay.
Chick McGee
All right.
Tom Griswold
I, I love your, your, your, your fistful of dollars. Le.
Christy Lee
That's for, that's for a few out there. Sure.
Tom Griswold
I think everyone's seen those spaghetti westerns. No.
Christy Lee
Len Cleave's great actor.
Al Jackson
I think I caught a glimpse.
Tom Griswold
I think the music from those is.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah, that Ennio Maroni or you'd recognize that immediately.
Al Jackson
Sure. The whistling.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
A lot of people don't know that's a young chick McGee.
Al Jackson
Is it?
Christy Lee
Yeah. You still getting residuals for that?
Tom Griswold
Yep.
Chick McGee
Well, it's down to like, you know, eight bucks a check.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
It's worth cash.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
It's just full of dollars is what it is.
Chick McGee
Full of dollars at one time.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. If you're just joining us.
Chick McGee
Hi.
Tom Griswold
This is the Babatom Show. We are coming to you from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. That's Christy Lee right over there at the Silac Insurance news desk.
Al Jackson
Survey time. A new survey out there reveals the most common stressors that you face while traveling.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah. Let's check this out. Let's see how many of these I.
Chick McGee
Bet it's not, it's not air travel because that's incredibly comfortable. And.
Pat Godwin
Oh.
Al Jackson
A poll of 1,000Americans found the top travel stressors are misplacing important documents that.
Christy Lee
Can be Very stressful. Yes.
Tom Griswold
I'm super stressed at all times when I have to fly somewhere.
Al Jackson
Are you really?
Tom Griswold
Absolutely.
Christy Lee
Make you feel like a criminal?
Tom Griswold
No. I mean, I get it. I understand why I'm.
Christy Lee
Unlawful search and seizure is what ts.
Chick McGee
I'm worried about missing my plane. Yeah.
Pat Godwin
All that.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. I like to get there really. I like to get there really early. We'll be in the car and I'll say, do you have your driver's license? And then. Yeah, I get the look I like.
Christy Lee
Oh, no way to look.
Tom Griswold
I am not allowed to do any kind of a checklist.
Al Jackson
Whoa, you're not allowed to do a checklist?
Tom Griswold
They're important. Do you have your sunglasses? Buses.
Christy Lee
Just leave her alone.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I just. I learned. Yeah, I just drive.
Christy Lee
And she the one that has to go back to the house, though.
Al Jackson
Have you ever had to do that?
Tom Griswold
Me?
Al Jackson
I had to.
Tom Griswold
You had to go back to your house at the air. You were at the airport.
Al Jackson
We were on a Bahamas trip. We were on that trip to the Bahamas and I didn't have my passport. And one of our staff members actually drove all the way back to the house and got my passport for me. Yeah, I barely made the flight.
Tom Griswold
Allow me to do a public service in announcement. How many days until you have to have the star. Your driver's license.
Christy Lee
I barely made the flight. She says. Meanwhile, the staff member who was hauling balls got a ticket for speeding.
Chick McGee
Ran over a dog.
Al Jackson
They barely made the flight too lose it. Well, it was actually it was our plane, so I think they would have held it anyway.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah.
Pat Godwin
Back in those days.
Al Jackson
Back in those days.
Pat Godwin
Private planes.
Al Jackson
It wasn't a private plane. We. It was a.
Chick McGee
Never mind.
Tom Griswold
Charter. Charter.
Al Jackson
So the most missing flights. Losing your luggage is a stressor happens. I've never had anybody. I'm not going.
Chick McGee
I have.
Christy Lee
And I tell you what, man. They took care of it it like they do. It was a day later and they brought it to my house.
Tom Griswold
Did you tip the guy.
Christy Lee
The guy who brought the luggage to my house?
Tom Griswold
I did not because I. That. That. That happened to me and I went, well, I guess I ended up. I guess I can tip. It's not his fault. Yeah, I lost it.
Christy Lee
It didn't occur to me.
Tom Griswold
He's just delivering bring.
Al Jackson
The most common annoyance among travelers are the seat recliner people.
Chick McGee
Hello to fellow travelers. Yeah, well, why don't they make the seat so you can't recline, period? End of story.
Al Jackson
Those who do not use headphones.
Chick McGee
What?
Christy Lee
Oh. So yeah, we had somebody on a recent Flight over this past weekend. The person was listening. Was it you?
Pat Godwin
There was not.
Christy Lee
Okay, but it was somebody next to you because it was you. They were watching something and they were not using headphones. So everyone heard what they were watching. They usually come by, didn't go on for long, but. But it happened.
Tom Griswold
Was it a adult movie of some sort?
Pat Godwin
It was just. I don't know exactly what it was because it was annoying.
Al Jackson
Well, don't. The flight attendant.
Christy Lee
Oh, Jeff was there too. Did you know what it was? Actually, it was Pat. He had his earbuds in, but he.
Tom Griswold
Didn'T have it turned on.
Chick McGee
On the right thing on his phone. So Willie had to reach over and turn on.
Pat Godwin
That is true.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
So you were the guy.
Chick McGee
Two minutes. It was.
Christy Lee
Oh, okay.
Pat Godwin
I thought you're talking about a different incident, but that was me.
Christy Lee
Gotcha.
Pat Godwin
That lasts at all of a second.
Christy Lee
But you were trying to be courteous.
Josh Arnold
Seven minutes.
Tom Griswold
Were you watching. You were watching that. That pornographic. I was watching Caligula hardware store movie, Black and Dicker.
Christy Lee
You know, the guy next to me was watching Blazing Saddles.
Al Jackson
Oh, really?
Pat Godwin
Yeah, I saw that.
Joe Theisman
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Well, now that's kind of abs because you never know if somebody's going to come up and go, how can you watch that?
Tom Griswold
Because it's great. That's how you can watch it.
Christy Lee
I totally agree.
Tom Griswold
You love life.
Al Jackson
And I thought this was. I thought it was a policy, but 65% of those polled believe airline staff should step in when passengers play audio without headphones. And I thought it was a policy that they announce it if you're going to. Or it's written on the card or something that if you are going to be listening.
Tom Griswold
Well, they're defense. They're pretty busy trying to keep everybody safe. I get it.
Christy Lee
I've always assumed that the. Don't use your headphones. Put them on airplane mode. Is John, just a way to keep people from having conversations loudly on a plane.
Al Jackson
That could be.
Christy Lee
There's no reason that we can't fly. Our cell phones aren't gonna mess up the plane.
Tom Griswold
But that would be awful though, if people could talk in their phone.
Christy Lee
Exactly. So I figured you scare somebody with, hey, this plane will crash. If you don't have it on airplane mode, people are gonna listen.
Tom Griswold
When we flew back from. On a recent trip, the guy sitting next to me, I needed. Not noise canceling. I needed a smell cancel. Canceling? Yeah, Smell canceling nose plugs.
Christy Lee
That happens.
Chick McGee
Is that right?
Tom Griswold
You'll get that There was an odor.
Chick McGee
Nobody has.
Al Jackson
Did you Ask to switch your seat. A lot of people will. That's one of the things on here.
Tom Griswold
Last guy to get in the plane. Oh, I was so happy thinking, I've got an empty seat next to me. This is great. A lot of elbow room. I'm so late.
Pat Godwin
But I'm not.
Chick McGee
Are you Tom Griswold?
Christy Lee
You don't mind if I eat my onion sandwich?
Tom Griswold
And then I got Happy Humphrey. After four hours of losing money at the casino, I'm very, very happy.
Chick McGee
I love food.
Tom Griswold
Nothing's worse, though. Nothing worth traveling. When you get the. What is it? You get that snack mix instead of those cookies.
Christy Lee
I like to take that. You and I will trade then.
Pat Godwin
I like the sun Chips.
Chick McGee
What cookies do you like? They took my biscoffs off. I don't have those.
Al Jackson
They don't have biscoffs anymore.
Tom Griswold
Those are delicious.
Chick McGee
Must be. I only fly one airline, though, so maybe that's why.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah. Okay, well, now, Christy, we got time.
Al Jackson
And one more story. Deals with flights. The Internet embroiled in a flight etiquette debate.
Christy Lee
All right.
Al Jackson
Apparently, the person in the front of a passenger draped her hair over their screen on their seat.
Pat Godwin
Okay, I've had it happen to me.
Chick McGee
That's. No, don't do that.
Al Jackson
The Reddit user posted a photo of a United Airlines fellow passengers long hair, hair partially covering the screen on the seat in front of them.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Al Jackson
Along with the title quote. So what's the standard operating procedure here?
Tom Griswold
Fake sneeze, gum in the hair.
Christy Lee
Both effective.
Tom Griswold
Take your. Take your take. What does it take? Take your, like, hand sanitizer, get a big glob and go.
Al Jackson
Oh, my God, I've never seen this. The top voted comment reads, quote, in the past, I have simply stood up, got the person's attention, and said, I'm not sure you're aware, but your hair is hanging over my screen and my food.
Tom Griswold
I did that to the guy in back of me last time. I had to apologize.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah.
Pat Godwin
Golden locks.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Al Jackson
Former flight attendant and etiquette expert Jacqueline Whitmore.
Chick McGee
Oh, and please pronounce it Jacqueline.
Al Jackson
Said that the polite way to approach such a situation is, of course, with kindness. Speak with the person causing the problem nicely.
Christy Lee
I don't mind it. I just part them that way. They're like curtains in the movie theater.
Tom Griswold
A very nice excuse me, ma'am, but cinematic. Your head lice is getting in my coffee.
Al Jackson
Oh, gosh. If the person does not correct the behavior, you should alert a flight.
Christy Lee
Let me ask you this.
Al Jackson
Yes.
Christy Lee
There's no screen and the hair is on that. Do you say anything?
Tom Griswold
No. Yes.
Christy Lee
That happened to me with a dude.
Pat Godwin
A guy in front of me had real long.
Christy Lee
You do want him to move it because it would be gay if you did. And since you're not a gay man.
Pat Godwin
I just put a little bit of food in there. I had a chair. I'm not even joking.
Al Jackson
No way.
Pat Godwin
I did.
Al Jackson
You would.
Chick McGee
You would.
Pat Godwin
Oh, I forget what it was. Maybe a piece of popcorn or something.
Tom Griswold
Stewardess, did you have any scissors? I'd like to do a quick trim. Well, thank you very much, Christy.
Christy Lee
All right.
Tom Griswold

Christy Lee
Hi there.
Chick McGee
He's over there at the I Hate Steven Singer sidekick chair. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios. I'm Chick McGee. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Chick. Coming up, we have a couple of highlights from the world of history. But what up, what up, what up Today? Kind of a depressing day.
Christy Lee
Oh, is it history wise?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I'm going to skip most of these.
Chick McGee
What? You run into that every now and then.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but I mean, every one of.
Al Jackson
Life isn't always, man.
Pat Godwin
Life is balance.
Chick McGee
Appreciate the great without the. Never mind.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Christy Lee
You can't enjoy the highs without the lows.
Chick McGee
That's right. Ying. The yin, the.
Tom Griswold
I think we're going to focus on the highs today. All right, here's a good one. This, this, this is a nice one. The Library of Congress was established on the state in 1800.
Al Jackson
Well, I wonder what the overdue fees are there.
Tom Griswold
Library card.
Chick McGee
Yeah, when. You know, when you become a senator or congressman, you get library car.
Al Jackson
Yeah, that's how you get one.
Tom Griswold
Is it full of hobos watching porn? I don't know.
Al Jackson
Is that why you think the library's full of hobos?
Chick McGee
Is that who you think the hobos go to the library?
Tom Griswold
Do you have a library card?
Al Jackson
I do.
Tom Griswold
You ever go there?
Chick McGee
I don't go to the. Hey. Hey, Josh.
Tom Griswold
Yes?
Chick McGee
You want to go to the library later?
Christy Lee
Yeah. There's some micro fiche I need to look through.
Al Jackson
What the hell's wrong with the library? Nothing.
Christy Lee
Nothing at all.
Al Jackson
No beautiful library in my little village, I imagine.
Christy Lee
The library card is now on your phone.
Chick McGee
Hobos.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Tom Griswold
And they have computer. Do they restrict access to hobos? I mean, can people go in there and.
Al Jackson
Anybody can go into a library. That's why they're public.
Christy Lee
Oh, you should need a card.
Al Jackson
Yeah, you can't check out a book without proper id.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry. Let's move on here. This is actually interesting. In 1913, the Woolworth Building opened in New York City. You know what was significant about it, Christy?
Al Jackson
They sold dime store turtles.
Tom Griswold
I don't know if. 60 stories.
Al Jackson
Whoa.
Tom Griswold
792Ft. It was the tallest building in the world at Woolworths until 1930. That was the tallest building in the world.
Chick McGee
They're not even trying. 792ft.
Al Jackson
They were a department store, right? Right.
Tom Griswold
Woolworths was like. They called it a dime store.
Al Jackson
Dime store, yeah. That's where you got the little tortoises in the plastic.
Chick McGee
Really? I had like 20 of those.
Tom Griswold
Tourists flocked to see it especially. Well, here we go. After 1930 just became primarily a place for people to jump.
Pat Godwin
Oh, the Depression.
Christy Lee
There was quite a reaction to the old.
Chick McGee
There was a great documentary. I haven't had a chance to watch it. It's called the Bridge Bridge. And it's all about the Golden Gate Bridge.
Christy Lee
Yeah, it's not easy to watch.
Al Jackson
And people jumping off of it.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Chick McGee
I don't want to. I don't want to do any spoilers, but.
Tom Griswold
Yep, they got nets now.
Christy Lee
Like top golf style nets.
Chick McGee
They're doing all they can, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. How about this one? This is an NFL story. You'll like this, Jim. I'll do it in the form of a question. In 1974, the NFL granted a franchise to 74. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Seattle, Tampa Bay.
Tom Griswold
Tampa. Very good, very good, very good. You have to have a permit.
Al Jackson
A permit?
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah. You got a permit to get a franchise?
Christy Lee
Oh, sure.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
That's when it was Green Bay, Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Detroit and Chicago in that one division.
Tom Griswold
Speaking of football, you'll know this one. In 2004, Eli Manning was drafted by San Diego. San Diego. And traded to the Saints immediately to the Giants.
Al Jackson
Oh, Giant.
Chick McGee
They told him. Yeah, they told the Giants, told San Diego we're not going to. Well, Archie. Well, you know, that's. It's a ground they hadn't covered yet. Archie.
Tom Griswold
It's kind of what. It's kind of what Joe Theisman was talking to us about earlier on this show.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Sometimes they go, well, I don't want.
Christy Lee
To play that as an example.
Chick McGee
Actually, Elway did the same thing. He didn't want to play for the Colts.
Al Jackson
Really?
Tom Griswold
And birthdays. Oh, this is weird. Shirley McLean. Oh, wow.
Christy Lee
Which birthday of hers?
Tom Griswold
That's interesting. She's 91 in this life.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
She's an old ghost.
Christy Lee
I love her. I love.
Pat Godwin
She's something else.
Al Jackson
Boy, she is out there.
Chick McGee
Is that right?
Christy Lee
I do.
Chick McGee
Shirley.
Christy Lee
I've never seen her do a bad performance. Yeah, great.
Tom Griswold
Oh, 1942, the birthday of Barbara Strike sand.
Christy Lee
Oh, I wish I were more of a fan of hers because I think she. I am straight, but I can appreciate.
Tom Griswold
She'S no Liza Minnelli.
Christy Lee
I appreciate some of what she did.
Chick McGee
And here's my. Or does, I should say impression of Josh Brolin today. Oh, Jesus. Is it my stepmom's birthday?
Christy Lee
Apparently she a hell of a sense of humor and I. Yeah, a friend.
Tom Griswold
Of mine wrote some stuff with her. Said she was really funny.
Christy Lee
Yeah, cool.
Tom Griswold
That's good. Let's see. How about this one? Happy birthday, Cedric the Entertainer.
Christy Lee
Ah, fellow St. Louis.
Tom Griswold
And before that he was Cedric the high school teacher, Is that correct?
Christy Lee
He died, you know, I'm not sure.
Chick McGee
No, he was born, they named him the Entertainer. He was kind of locked in.
Christy Lee
I like Cedric.
Chick McGee
Yeah, that's like Jeeves the butler. They're locked in. In, man.
Al Jackson
Your name's Jeeves, you have to be a butler.
Pat Godwin
Pretty much.
Al Jackson
Okay.
Tom Griswold
This. Yikes. Demon Honsu.
Christy Lee
Oh, he's a great actor.
Chick McGee
Oh yeah, I think it's like Digimon or something.
Christy Lee
Amistad. And he's an. Oh, that blood diamond, I think.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Pat Godwin
Oh, I know you're talking about.
Chick McGee
He's badass.
Tom Griswold
Okay, this is. He's from Always. He's from West Africa. Yeah, pronounced J man. Unso Cool Africa.
Christy Lee
Actor.
Tom Griswold
Okay. He's from the west side of Africa.
Chick McGee
Very, very good. That's right. Still the west side, man.
Tom Griswold
Let's see. And lastly, Kelly Clarkson. She's got a great voice too. Born in 1982 on this date.
Chick McGee
Boy, whoever is producing her show should get a bonus or something. Yep, that's really well produced.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah. And I. Oh, lastly, we have an upper. Do you have the update on the guy whose car caught on fire?
Al Jackson
Yeah, the Japanese man's dream that turned into a nightmare when his new car caught fire just one hour after delivery. You'll recall the 33 year old music producer named Hong Kong had dreamed of owning a Ferrari, stayed for 10 years in order to purchase a Ferrari 458 Spider. Took his car out for a spin shortly after it was delivered, but it erupted into flames on the Chouteau Expressway. The Metropolitan Police Department is still investigating though to determine the cause of that blaze.
Tom Griswold
Hope he got the extended warranty. Wow. Brand new. I heard, I heard what happened was the tailpipe was full of semen.
Christy Lee
Why did that happen?
Chick McGee
Why is he.
Pat Godwin
What's the connection there?
Al Jackson
He loved his car so much. That's how I read that.
Christy Lee
Boy, that is a.
Tom Griswold
Quite a.
Christy Lee
Quite the contention there.
Tom Griswold
He loved that car.
Chick McGee
You know, you know how you know when you're, you're, when you're done, it's. It's full.
Christy Lee
Yeah, yeah, the tailpipe. So it's the guy's birthday, huh?
