It's the Bob and Tom Show. Hello, Everybody. I'm Chick McGee, and this is my band, the Chick McGee Experience. Hello, ladies.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Mr. McGee.
Jess Hooker
Oh, please, girls. After last night, I preferred if you call me Chick. What? How are you talking about.
Chick McGee
Never mind.
Jess Hooker
All right, everybody, stand back. Time to get ready. Let's get funky, get freaky. You know that I. I love to sing about that stuff. So sweet and nasty. But since I did my last record, I've had the occasional angioplasty. Now, ladies, don't you be concerned. There's no need for mass hysteria. Cause when it comes to getting pudding, I've never had a problem in that area.
Tom Griswold
Bring the ladies lots of joy.
Jess Hooker
Biggest stuff we've ever seen. Give me a whiff. Right on. Solid. Still stanky.
Josh Arnold
Reaching.
Tom Griswold
Reaching.
Jess Hooker
Groping.
Tom Griswold
Wow.
Jess Hooker
Probing. Probing. Cursing. Cursing. I'm jumping. I'm pumping. Is that your leg I'm humping? Some Clorox will get out this thing. What's his name? All right, ladies, it's time for the Chickster to hit the dance floor. I'll show you the move I taught James Brown back in 63. Oh, wait a minute. I think I may have hurt myself. Oh, boy. I'm not kidding. I'm not entirely well. You know, I. I feel rather faint. Does anyone have any nitro? Can somebody please call 91 1? Oh, my chest is beginning to tighten. I can't get my breath. Oh, man, it's really hot in here.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, boy.
Jess Hooker
Mr. Griswold, this is wonderful, all these musicians, but it's really starting to hurt. Mr. Mr. Griswold.
Jeff Oskay
He's drinking and whining.
Jess Hooker
He kisses Tom's heiny commandos of heave me shame. What's his name? I'm not faking this, you know. Well, now you think it's funny. Not funny. Hey, come on in and take off your skin and rattle around in your bones.
Chick McGee
Oh, I like that.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. And you know, I was listening to BBC Radio over the weekend and they say, come on in, let us take care of. Oh, how about that? Spend some time with us.
Chick McGee
That's nice.
Jess Hooker
I say blatant hostility is out. Let us take care of you then.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah, cram it. Let's just go. Move forward here.
Jess Hooker
We got a lot to get to. That's how I thought you'd react. It's the Bob and Top show from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. There's Jess Hooker at the Silac Insurance news desk.
Tom Griswold
Hello.
Jess Hooker
There's Jeff Osuke.
Josh Arnold
Hey, buddy.
Jess Hooker
Every time I look at you, I'm gonna say Josh. And I know Josh is here, but I. Hi, Josh Arnold.
Jeff Oskay
Hey, Trickster.
Jess Hooker
There's Ace Cosby, I'm Chick McGee and hello, Tom.
Chick McGee
Well, I can see the resemblance. It would be like. Oscar would be like the Chia Pet version of Josh where. Why don't we have a Chia Pet Oscar? You put. He's got like extra hair and his beard just expanded. You both have glasses.
Jess Hooker
We should absolutely have a Chia Osu.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
And the beer just comes out of nowhere.
Chick McGee
I think you can get that. I think that can actually be done.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I'll get right on it.
Jess Hooker
They.
Chick McGee
That would be a. I see. We would do. We wouldn't do me or Josh because I mean all. You'd have kind of like a Larry Fine thing with the hair coming out.
Jess Hooker
On the sides, you know.
Tom Griswold
It's fun too, though.
Jess Hooker
It just dawned on me, you know who Tom reminds me of? Who? Any of the ex wives. And here's why. Because what he. He says, you know what we should do? We should get a Chia Pet of Jeff Oskar. And that concludes his working on the project, much like an ex wife. You know what we should do? I don't know. What? Put a sun room on this house. Okay.
Chick McGee
You gotta begin on top with ideas. That's what we got. Well, hello. And a couple things I wanted to get Tom.
Jeff Oskay
I would imagine the chick's point. There are husbands out there that sometime In January or February, the wife goes, you know what we should do? And then the husband goes, well, that's my 20. 25 ye.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Damn. Yeah, I'll see you in 26 after I get back from the hardware store.
Chick McGee
Got a couple projects going.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, you do?
Chick McGee
Oh, of course.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Oh, yesterday, God, I bought like three hoses, a couple of hosing couplers. Oh, it's a big day.
Jess Hooker
All right. What do you got?
Chick McGee
By the way? Check local listings. It's raining like hell, so I'm not gonna be needing those hoses.
Jess Hooker
So that was an irrigation project?
Tom Griswold
No.
Chick McGee
This is boring. Sorry. The. The spigots, whatever you call them, on the side of my house, they're all. They're all way back in the bushes.
Jess Hooker
Okay.
Chick McGee
And now that the bushes are all growing, you can't get in there.
Jeff Oskay
Okay.
Jess Hooker
They're unsightly.
Chick McGee
So I bought these. I bought these extension, ultra high end extension hoses that don't rust and they're like 15ft long. But that way you've got a hose out there by the lawn.
Jeff Oskay
Good move.
Jess Hooker
Sure.
Chick McGee
But then you got to have a look. Turn off valve and. Oh, it's. It's a. It's gigantic.
Tom Griswold
You did this alone?
Jess Hooker
Yes.
Chick McGee
Oh, that plus I fixed my bicycle seat yesterday. I put on my new banana seat. Oh, I wish.
Jess Hooker
Remember that there was one kid in your neighborhood that put the extension fork on their bike. You.
Jeff Oskay
How'd you do that?
Jess Hooker
Well, my dad's a welder. Okay.
Chick McGee
I came in right at the end of the banana seat. I did have a banana seat. The cool one, I want to say was called the Schwinn. Was it the stingray that had the shifter?
Jess Hooker
Stingray had the. Well, they were all called stingrays whether they had a shifter or not. I believe I had the leopard skin banana seat. Wow. And a neighbor. A neighbor kid stole it off our porch. And my dad went to get the bike back. Oh, yeah. It was not pretty over at the house. Well, they never bothered us again. That's all I'm saying. Wow.
Chick McGee
Yeah, I know. Your dad was kind of a badass.
Jess Hooker
Kind of.
Chick McGee
No secret he was. His side gig, if you will, was he was a drug dealer.
Jess Hooker
And part of. I guess he was. I mean, like that.
Chick McGee
Well, that's what he did.
Jess Hooker
He sold. Sold weed, I guess.
Jeff Oskay
Didn't your. Your report card would show up to the house and your. Your mom would see and get angry, so your dad grabbed the mailman and shoved his head in the pizza oven.
Jess Hooker
That's right. Same thing.
Jeff Oskay
Don't you ever.
Jess Hooker
We didn't get any, man. We didn't. I didn't get any grade cards. I didn't get any announcements from the school. I didn't get anything.
Chick McGee
Yeah, Josh, you missed a couple things while you were gone. I know you don't like reviewing old stories, but did you see the Barbie story? No.
Jeff Oskay
The only thing I've heard recently is that Barbie is. They came out with a type one diabetic Barbie.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Okay.
Chick McGee
Which is kind of interesting.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, sure.
Jess Hooker
That's what joke he made.
Chick McGee
Yes, she does have both feet.
Jeff Oskay
That's good.
Chick McGee
At least they caught it, for starters. No, I bring that up because I've got a letter here that kind of.
Jess Hooker
References that he's a monster.
Chick McGee
Well, no, the Barbie people are trying to.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, I like this stuff.
Chick McGee
Show the.
Jess Hooker
The.
Chick McGee
The. The. The heroic aspects of great women in our culture and. Sure, I think it's fine.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, great. No reason not to have that.
Chick McGee
I don't know if they're going to continue this disease Barbie thing.
Josh Arnold
Well, no, there's a huge controversy right now because of that. There's a lot of people who are like, oh, well, where's, you know, multiple. Where's Ms. Barbie? And where is coma Barbie and coma Barbie?
Jeff Oskay
You know, Barbies are coma Barbie if you just set them down.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
If you just lay them in a bed.
Chick McGee
Karen and Quinlan Barbie. Well, she took some. Loads kids.
Josh Arnold
But of course, you do one thing nice and just.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, exactly.
Josh Arnold
The world has to crap all over it.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Chick McGee
I think the motto of contemporary culture is you can't win.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
No matter what, you can't win. But this is a nice letter from Mark, who took issue with. I didn't under. I don't remember hearing this. Josh, you made an egregious error.
Jeff Oskay
I did.
Chick McGee
Saying passerbys rather than the plural form of passerby, which apparently is.
Jess Hooker
No, the pass. It would be passersby. Right.
Jeff Oskay
That's what I said. I said passersby, and I said it sort of as a joke. I don't know if it's correct or not.
Chick McGee
I don't either.
Jess Hooker
Like sisters in law. Law.
Jeff Oskay
Right.
Jess Hooker
That's how I. Yeah, but see, I.
Chick McGee
Am opposed to attorneys at law. Yeah. I. I like attorney generals. I know it's wrong, but it sounds better.
Jess Hooker
It does sound better.
Chick McGee
And then rbi.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. There's that segment out there. They insist on rbi, not rbis.
Jeff Oskay
Right.
Jess Hooker
I hate that because it is not. It isn't runs bad. It ends.
Chick McGee
And it is an ATM machine. I know. The M stands for machine. But I'm going to die on that hill.
Jess Hooker
Oh, you're using ATM for that. Okay.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Jess Hooker
Josh. I stand correct. I thought he was into that. Okay.
Chick McGee
Do you know how unhealthy that would be? I mean, the direct consumption of fecal material, I've seen.
Jeff Oskay
I've seen it done a lot, and then I see those same people six months later, so it can't be that unhealthy.
Chick McGee
Yeah, well, that's the gestation period just.
Jess Hooker
Before they drop during the transaction of the atm. They seem very happy.
Jeff Oskay
No one's mad about it.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, no one's mad.
Chick McGee
ATM Barbie looked like the drummer for.
Jess Hooker
Now, in everybody's head is Cannon Barbie. Atm.
Chick McGee
Like Karen Carpenter the week before the demise.
Jess Hooker
Oh, right.
Chick McGee
Okay. The reason, Mark, who's our letter writer and corrector of. He recommends the Elements of Style. You know, the old Strunk and white.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, sure. Yeah. I have a couple. I have a couple.
Jess Hooker
Wait a minute. Tom, are you reading listener mail?
Chick McGee
Yes.
Jess Hooker
Oh, hang on.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, yeah.
Jess Hooker
Hey, Lister mail. We got some Lister mail. Okay, okay. Okay.
Jeff Oskay
So what does he say is the correct thing?
Chick McGee
He doesn't. He just said, check the book. Maybe it's passersby. I don't know.
Jeff Oskay
Okay.
Jess Hooker
Check the book.
Chick McGee
Yeah. No, it's passers by.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, I love stuff. I love.
Chick McGee
At the end, he goes, I am a type 2 diabetic.
Jess Hooker
Ah.
Jeff Oskay
All right.
Chick McGee
I am also the member of my hoa, and I have a large beard.
Jess Hooker
Huh.
Chick McGee
I guess that's a tip of the hat to you, Mr. Rosky.
Jess Hooker
Oh, are you on a HOA? Oh, no, no. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Okay. Now we have a lot more to get to coming up today, including your letters. An interesting thing. We got into this thing about. What do they call it? Branding. People are getting branded instead of getting tattoos.
Jess Hooker
And it's not heat branded, it's ice.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Yesterday I went down the wormhole of. I'd read a long time ago that there was a way of. Instead of branding cattle, they're using this thing that discolors their hair.
Jess Hooker
Right. Like a dye, I guess.
Chick McGee
No, it's.
Jess Hooker
It's not.
Chick McGee
Yeah. And I found out what it is, and I've actually got a cut, and then I got a couple letters about it, as a matter of fact.
Jess Hooker
Also, Josh, are you gonna make us get marked for the show? Is that what you're. Is that's what you're leading up to? Have a Bob and Tom on the back of our head or something? So our hair covers.
Chick McGee
If we did a contest where we gave away A you know a great tattoo guy.
Jess Hooker
Sure I do. Morning, Donnie.
Chick McGee
We could. We could have Donnie put a Bob and Tom logo tattoo on someone. People would actually enter.
Jess Hooker
Oh yeah, they would. Which maybe I bet they're a Bob and Tom tattoo.
Chick McGee
Oh, I've seen it.
Jess Hooker
Right now.
Chick McGee
Please don't do that. You don't have to do that.
Jess Hooker
You can do that if you want.
Chick McGee
Really, Josh. Coming up, a story from the world of the paranormal.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, I like that stuff.
Chick McGee
This is kind of sad.
Jeff Oskay
Oh yeah. Oftentimes it can be unfinished business.
Chick McGee
Are you familiar with the so called Annabelle doll?
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Chick McGee
What is that?
Jeff Oskay
Well, the original, the real Annabelle doll looks like an old Raggedy Ann doll, didn't you? It is an old Raggedy Anne doll.
Jess Hooker
You and I went to see one of the Annabelle's, didn't we? And we couldn't stop laughing at some.
Jeff Oskay
Yes, because the actor and I forget his name. It wasn't Gabriel Byrne, but it was somebody like that.
Jess Hooker
Somebody was just so dour, miserable, staring off.
Chick McGee
But it's like a haunted.
Jeff Oskay
Yes. Yeah, it's a very haunted doll. And they keep it in a clay a case well as do not remove.
Chick McGee
The guy investigating it has died.
Jeff Oskay
Oh my goodness.
Chick McGee
Dan Rivera. Do you know who that is, boy?
Jeff Oskay
No, I'm not familiar with his work.
Josh Arnold
Didn't he die during the tour?
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Wow.
Josh Arnold
Like while he was looking at the doll.
Jeff Oskay
What is it in Zach Bagan's museum now in Vegas. Does he have it or does somebody else?
Jess Hooker
Oh, is that the Cruel and Unusual museum or it's like a paranormal. Yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
He's apparently touring with this crazy doll. Oh, he is?
Jeff Oskay
He's taking it with him and stuff.
Jess Hooker
Well, he's just asking for trouble.
Chick McGee
Yeah, so we'll find out about that coming up in in the news. But right now we're going to find out about the best way to listen to your walk up music. Jess Hooker
Is that. Is that a real story?
Chick McGee
It's very confusing.
Jess Hooker
Okay.
Chick McGee
Uno is coming to Vegas.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
But yeah, also a Fyre Fest update. And I'm going to.
Jess Hooker
I can't wait.
Chick McGee
And headline man discovers a worm inside his. Well, you can imagine.
Jess Hooker
Oh no.

Welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. There's Jess Hooker.
Tom Griswold
Hi.
Jess Hooker
Hello. Jeff Oskay.
Josh Arnold
Hey, Chick.
Jess Hooker
Josh Arnold.
Jeff Oskay
Hi.
Jess Hooker
In the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios, there's Ace. I'm Chick McGee. Hello, Tom.
Chick McGee
Hello. Chick Magee.
Jess Hooker
Take it, buddy.
Chick McGee
This is a portion of our program. We like to read some letters and communicate with you, the audience. Thank you very much. Great to have you here. We have a number of things to get to. You have a letter over there. You're waving some paper.
Jess Hooker
Dear Bob and Tom.
Jeff Oskay
I heard pecker first.
Chick McGee
You're waving your pecker.
Jess Hooker
I can wave my pecker a little. But not, not like you. Can Tom, not do the Charlie clap like.
Chick McGee
Like a windsock at an airport.
Jess Hooker
You say windsock. I always think prolapse.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, sure, yeah. The old human.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Party favor there.
Jess Hooker
Dear Bob and top show, Chick always does his due diligence to let us know when Tom is coming back from a break and is always unprepared and baffled he's back on the air. True. Additionally, isn't one of Tom's pet peeves being behind someone in line at the grocery store. And that someone is always surprised that they have to pay when they get up to. Up to the cashier.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Jess Hooker
Aren't you upset by that? Well, let's see. John says, congratulations, Tom. You have indeed turned into your own worst enemy.
Chick McGee
Who isn't?
Jess Hooker
Thanks for the last John listing in the United Kingdom. Hey, how about that?
Chick McGee
Hey, John.
Jess Hooker
11:00 or so.
Chick McGee
Just visiting. Had a wonderful time over there.
Jess Hooker
And you met a guy who emailed us and he owned an Aston Martin. Do you remember his name? Yeah, like Humphrey or something or. I forget his name.
Chick McGee
It's not Humphrey.
Jess Hooker
But you guys went to see a concert separately but together, right?
Chick McGee
No, he was. We were in an area of the kind. We just got talking. We were waiting for the show to start. Went to see. Let's see, Noah Khan. Great.
Jeff Oskay
Noah Khan. Noah Khan.
Chick McGee
Gracie Abrams, who's terrific.
Tom Griswold
Love her.
Chick McGee
And Sabrina Carpenter.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
Who I'd never heard of in. I had no idea that she would draw a hundred thousand people two nights in a row.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
She's got a great voice, right?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, she's got a great personality.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, she seems cool.
Chick McGee
It was real fun. It was.
Jess Hooker
She's a teenage witch, right?
Tom Griswold
No.
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Chick McGee
Her show was very Vegasy with a lot of dancers and. But. But great. As opposed to Gracie Abrams, which is like a traditional singer, songwriter. Also great.
Jeff Oskay
That's all recent footage of Sabrina. She was drinking some wine or something on stage and the crowd was asking her to chug and she put it down. And then she was getting booed mercilessly for not chugging it. So then she gave them the finger and chugged it.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
I thought, she's got spunk.
Chick McGee
And Noah Khan is a really interesting guy. And he said something like, you know, three years ago I was here in London. I played for 75 people. And they're, you know, it's Hyde Park. There's 100,000 people. Whatever. It's. But he was. And he kind of treated it like a nightclub show, talking to everybody, and that's fine. It was pretty cool.
Jeff Oskay
I love Hyde Park. I don't know. On every Sunday, they used to have the people on their soapboxes like literal soap, and they would just be ranting about something. I would go, it was fascinating hearing what these people had to say.
Chick McGee
But concert technology. Now, I mentioned this before. The big screens up there are the size of drive in movie theaters from the 60s. And they've got three of them.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Pretty cool.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Yeah. You can. You can see the zits from. From 3,000 yards back.
Jeff Oskay
Did anybody refer to you as a Yank? No, I always loved that.
Jess Hooker
Dom, if you would please tell us your rock and roll concert zit story. Well, it's kind of appropriate, I think it is.
Chick McGee
Two weekends ago, Ozzy Osbourne did his last. Apparently his last show ever. Oh, you've heard about this. It was in.
Jess Hooker
Until they get to America.
Chick McGee
Was a Newcastle, I think, somewhere. Yeah. Up north.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Jeff Oskay
Burlington or something. Yeah. Birmingham.
Chick McGee
Birmingham. Sorry. Yeah. In any event, I guess he emerged with. On a throne from below the stage.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Chick McGee
And he didn't. Didn't stand. He was singing sitting down because he's got some issues.
Tom Griswold
Sure.
Chick McGee
But one time, Ozzy came through. Did you do that with me, Ace? Were you one of the people in the monsters? Yeah. Okay. I think it was like me, Ace, Christy and somebody else during one of Ozzy's songs. You remember which one it was?
Josh Arnold
No.
Chick McGee
It was a solo Ozzy Osbourne tour. And it was a huge arena. And they had us come backstage, which I. Very uncomfortable anyway. But we put on these monk robes and then I think. I think there were six of us. And during this one song, they shoo us out on stage and we walk up these steps holding these scepters.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Behind Ozzy.
Jeff Oskay
That's awesome.
Chick McGee
And then we're instructed to turn and look at the crowd. All I can remember was Ozzy was a little bit chubby at the time. And he was probably, I don't know, 10, 15ft from us singing to the crowd and just noticed this huge zit on his back that kind of took some of it.
Jess Hooker
Apparently, rock and roll's not pretty.
Chick McGee
Yeah. You know, Satan apparently has a couple of zits, but. And he was. He's been in here a couple times. He's a very nice guy, and we certainly wish him the best. He's wrestling with a few issues these days, but back to the mailbag. I believe it was. Was it Mr. Oscar yesterday? I forgot who was talking. Maybe it was you, Josh. Talking about putting kids to bed. Jeff, what was the nature of the discussion?
Josh Arnold
That kids don't want to talk to you until it's time to go to sleep. And then they want to talk about the most profound things. Like why you and Mommy aren't together anymore. If God is real things.
Chick McGee
But haven't you noticed that girlfriends do the same thing?
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, for sure.
Chick McGee
Totally exhausted. I've got to get up at 3am and all of a sudden there's someone lying down next to you with a honey.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
It goes both ways.
Chick McGee
Yeah. With a With a profound question.
Jeff Oskay
Dudes do it.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Jess Hooker
Wow.
Tom Griswold
Are you kidding me?
Jeff Oskay
I. Well, I never have, and I've never known a guy to do. I mean, every guy right here.
Jess Hooker
I'll do it.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, okay.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, there you go.
Jess Hooker
I'll do it.
Jeff Oskay
And a lot of times it's. I know you asked me 20 times today if I was all right or if there was anything on my mind, and I kept saying no.
Tom Griswold
Oh, and then she waits until.
Chick McGee
But this is. This is. And the situation typically is she doesn't have to get up till noon. You've got to get up in four hours.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, of course she doesn't have to get up till noon, Tom.
Jeff Oskay
Well, she's a server.
Jess Hooker
You know, you're not just in this room talking.
Chick McGee
I'm just saying there is a disparity in the time zone of. Of ones.
Jess Hooker
You're gonna hear about that one.
Tom Griswold
Well, now, in the summer when kids are home, you know this.
Chick McGee
And it's daylight until.
Tom Griswold
Yes. And they're like, hey, you know what's a good time to make ramen? Two hours before mom has to get up.
Jess Hooker
Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
In any event, we get to this letter. Dear Bob and Tom show. You guys were talking about kids asking deep questions just before bedtime. Funny but true. They also seem to need one more drink of water at least 10 more times before going to sleep.
Josh Arnold
They're the most dehydrated camels.
Chick McGee
I have a friend who was so frustrated, he jokingly called her kids thirsty philosophers when it came to bedtime. I will always. I will always think of them as that. That is. That is very true and an absolutely perfect observation. Now you have. Oh, you're.
Jess Hooker
You have waving your letters Dear Bob at top show. This is for chick. Two words. Chickster. That's right. Susie Quatro.
Chick McGee
Oh, whoever that's from, I want. Is there a way to cut off email?
Jeff Oskay
They just wanted to hear this.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, that's all they wanted. Okay.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Jess Hooker
P.S. sorry to bother you, Tom. There you go.
Tom Griswold
You did we ever blocked an emailer, I guess.
Jess Hooker
Officially.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
No.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Chick McGee
Yes, we have.
Jeff Oskay
Dear Bob and Tom show. Oh, this is Jim just reminding us that there is a Lambert's home of the Throwed Rolls, a terrific restaurant where they actually walk around and throw dinner rolls at you and you catch them. We were talking with Joe Dombrowski yesterday.
Chick McGee
Yeah, Joe's gonna be at the Blue Room Comedy Club in Springfield, Missouri, tonight and tomorrow. Double thumbs up. This guy is as funny as anyone that's ever been in this show.
Jess Hooker
A wonderful sense of Humor.
Chick McGee
God.
Jeff Oskay
And yeah, we said, hey, man, maybe go check out those. The Lamberts. Well, there's a second one in Foley, Alabama, near Gulf Shore.
Jess Hooker
Oh, a lot of sound effects at that Lamberts.
Jeff Oskay
Yes. I had to know exactly.
Chick McGee
Now, would it have been inappropriate? I held back a little bit yesterday.
Jeff Oskay
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Are you sure?
Chick McGee
Yes.
Jeff Oskay
You know what he did? I did. Yeah.
Chick McGee
There were two things. There were this.
Jess Hooker
Anything to do with Joe being a gay man?
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
And I mean, it must. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Yes. Because you mentioned Lambert's.
Jeff Oskay
Right.
Chick McGee
And I did not say that. You know, they throw the roles at you. I did not say, Joe, are you a good catcher?
Jeff Oskay
He sort of.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Joe sort of alluded to.
Chick McGee
Yeah. But I didn't want to pursue it.
Jeff Oskay
Right, right.
Chick McGee
But. And he and his husband are having a baby together. I didn't know it would be inappropriate to ask. And I did not ask if. If one of them had supplied the seed.
Jess Hooker
Don't they.
Chick McGee
And I was gonna say, because I had heard that they.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Chick McGee
That they do a thing where they take them both and they mix them.
Tom Griswold
And then you don't know which one until the kid's 13.
Chick McGee
That is none of my business. And.
Jeff Oskay
Well, that's all right. Yeah.
Chick McGee
He is such a delightful guy.
Jeff Oskay
I did mean to remind him that Lambert's. It's not Adam.
Tom Griswold
Oh, right.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Well, that would be appropriate.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
With his fancy hats. Adam Lambert wears fancy hats.
Chick McGee
Isn't he the guy that sings for Queen?
Jess Hooker
Now, that's a good.
Jeff Oskay
That's good casting, as they say. Yeah, right.
Chick McGee
Is that what we're talking about? Yeah, he's great.
Jess Hooker
What happened to their other Queen's El.
Chick McGee
Oh, God.
Jeff Oskay
Sure. Adam will be.
Tom Griswold
Watch a movie.
Jeff Oskay
A little more careful.
Jess Hooker
Dear Bob and Tom. Oh, you got to be careful.
Chick McGee
Could you possibly shut up?
Jess Hooker
I have Dear Bob and Tom, especially Chick and Tom. Tom. This is about our brotherhood of the shorts. I have four pair of Lululemon shorts I use for walking on the beach in Florida. I just wanted you to know.
Tom Griswold
Did you get a pair?
Jess Hooker
Oh, I got two pair.
Chick McGee
I told you, I get a pair, lose a pair. I don't even know what these things are. I almost never wear shorts. I don't like wearing shorts. So I'm at the mall. There's this store I've never been in in my life, Lululemon.
Jeff Oskay
Spoke to you when you passed.
Jess Hooker
No, I was there.
Chick McGee
I said, I've got to get a pair of shorts that have a zipper pocket so I can, you know, put my wallet in.
Tom Griswold
They're fine athletic shorts. But when you guys were making fun of Tom last week, we were in the hallway, and I looked at him, I said, you're gonna get a pair and you're gonna love them. And. And this is. This is gonna backfire.
Jess Hooker
These.
Tom Griswold
They're very expensive.
Jess Hooker
They're gonna.
Tom Griswold
You're gonna love.
Jess Hooker
So soft and. And comfortable. And they have underwear in the shorts. It's amazing.
Jeff Oskay
Could have gone bird dogs. Bird dog. Sounds manly.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, they're good. I like bird dogs, too. I. I don't know, Tom, I don't know if you know this, but the owner of Lululemon had said, like, these. My clothes are not for fat people.
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
I just walked in the store controversy.
Tom Griswold
He did he. Because women were wearing the leggings and they were stretching, stretching them out, and you could see their underpants. And he goes, yeah, well, if you're stretching them out, they're not for you. You're too fat for them.
Chick McGee
I had no idea. I just. I was completely innocent. I just walked in the store. I got up here that doesn't have a liner. I sleep in them little shorts.
Jeff Oskay
I like seeing the underpants. Tell this guy to shut up.
Josh Arnold
I didn't know Lululemon made clothes for not women.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
Like, I thought that was an old woman brand.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah. My pair came with a nice brassiere.
Josh Arnold
That I. Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
What I like to do is knot it up and then pull it out.
Jess Hooker
I'm a pretty girl.
Jeff Oskay
It's a Kate Hudson brassiere. So she's the big Lululemon chick, right?
Chick McGee
She is.
Tom Griswold
Fabletic.
Jeff Oskay
Fabletics.
Chick McGee
I know none of this stuff. I'm just an innocent man that walked into a store. I have no idea.
Jess Hooker
They have pants.
Tom Griswold
They're anything but innocent now.
Jeff Oskay
Do they? Does fabletics have things for guys?
Tom Griswold
I don't know. That's a good question.
Jeff Oskay
And they do have a line for fat women called flabletics, which is.
Jess Hooker
It's kind of an inside joke, Right. People take it in a jokey way. Flab. Letics.
Chick McGee
Now back to our guest from yesterday, Joe Dombroski. He was a former school teacher, and we asked him about naming the baby, and he had a great line. This is somewhere on our social media. You've got to watch this video. But he talked about the fact that being a teacher, when his husband would suggest names, he would associate them with various students, and he'd go, Jennifer, no. 2 mouthy. Each one had associated with somebody was very, very good. He's going to be in St. Louis at the Funny Bone coming up Friday And Saturday and then comedy off Broadway in Lexington, Friday and Saturday, August 23rd and 24th. But tonight and tomorrow, the blue room comedy club, Springfield, Missouri.
Jess Hooker
Go see him.
Chick McGee
A show not to be missed. Coming up, we have this weird story in the world of paranormal investigation. And this guy who was on this tour with this scary doll and he died mysteriously.
Jess Hooker
Awful.
Chick McGee
And there's an autopsy. Autopsy?
Jess Hooker
Is there an autopsy? You think when they have an autopsy they have a cup of coffee?
Chick McGee
Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm doing that. Preparing to read this letter that is coming up that involves wordle and an odd accent. But right now it's very important that you feel safe at home not worried about some crazy Annabelle doll.
Jess Hooker
How much would you pay for peace of mind? Well, simply safe will help you get that peace of mind. A system that works to prevent break ins from ever even happening in the first place. Chick McGee
Thank you very much, chick. Coming up, news about getting yourself branded.
Jess Hooker
Branded was the man. Was that Chuck Connors?
Chick McGee
Branded. Branded. Chris was the name they shout. What do you do when you're rendered? Something like that.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. What's that other song? What do you do with a drunken sailor? What? Yeah, you do with the drunken sailor.
Chick McGee
What do you do? Hire him at Exxon. Okay, well that's. Remember they ran the boat.
Jess Hooker
Very nice.
Chick McGee
You know boat. What does it hit a nice burn or something?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
Okay. Big spill.
Jess Hooker
A lot of oil.
Chick McGee

Jeff Oskay
Hello, Tom.
Jess Hooker
How are you?
Chick McGee
Hello, Chick McGee. Fellow Wordle players.
Jess Hooker
Yes.
Jeff Oskay
Who's that? Oscar and McGee.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Around here.
Jeff Oskay
Around here.
Jess Hooker
Well, actually, a new guy. What's his name?
Chick McGee
Oh, the big guy.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
We're trying to figure out a nickname.
Jess Hooker
For the new guy he plays.
Jeff Oskay
Why? His name's Aaron.
Jess Hooker
No.
Chick McGee
You want him to feel welcome.
Jess Hooker
I asked how long can we call him new guy? And I think it's six months until.
Tom Griswold
The next new guy gets here next week.
Jess Hooker
That's.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
I think Hooker has something to say about the hiring practices.
Tom Griswold
We got a backup for the backup for the backup.
Jess Hooker
That's because.
Chick McGee
That's because we have so many unreliable people working here.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
How do you think Tom feels about it?
Chick McGee
Back them up. Sick of paying them.
Jess Hooker
Is hiring. Is hiring people that were hardest part of your job tomorrow, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Tom doesn't hire anybody.
Jess Hooker
Finding a good.
Chick McGee
I do.
Josh Arnold
Hired me.
Tom Griswold
Who do you hire? Yeah, I remember I had to sit down with him a few years ago and they're like, hey, you're gonna have to do a hiring thing. You're gonna have to do an interview with Tom. And I was like, what?
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Did you hire. I think you did hire me. It was Elvis. Right. Brought us together. You're going. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Oh, what a great dog.
Jess Hooker
We were out in the park and he was walking Elvis and I grabbed him and I said, I have to kiss you. And we were in an embrace. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Exactly how it happened.
Jess Hooker
You should come and work for me at the radio station.
Chick McGee
I rescued Jake. He was working at possibly the worst radio station in history.
Jess Hooker
That's not true. Let me second worst.
Chick McGee
Okay, okay. This is a true story. I think Ace, you'll remember this one day there was a fist fight in the hallway at the oldies station. I am. I mean, a fist fight. Yes.
Jess Hooker
Outside the studio. I was on the air. I had. Because they have windows and I.
Chick McGee
And it was. It was what they then called an oldie station. They were playing primarily 50s and 60s, you know, two minute songs, blah, blah, blah.
Jess Hooker
And one of the guys was a stickler for that type of music.
Chick McGee
Yeah. And they got into a fist fight because they were playing a stereo version of some Beach Boy song.
Jess Hooker
Beach Boy song.
Chick McGee
They. I mean. I mean, they had to be pulled apart.
Jess Hooker
And then they started arguing about where's the accurate place for temperature.
Chick McGee
The one guy said you can't give the temperature because they had a thermometer in the roof here. So it would. It would give you the temperature.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I.
Chick McGee
This guy insisted on giving the temperature at the airport. I mean, this is the kind. This is why dorks like that were working at stations.
Jeff Oskay
Any of them. Either of them here now?
Chick McGee
No.
Jeff Oskay
No. Okay.
Chick McGee
No.
Jess Hooker
But they turned out to be, I.
Chick McGee
Guess then eventually it turned out they were lovers, which made it even.
Tom Griswold
Lovers in your head.
Jess Hooker
No, no, no, he's right. He's right. I don't know.
Chick McGee
Sure.
Jeff Oskay
Okay, you don't know.
Tom Griswold
That was the rumor. Oh yeah, it was the rumor.
Jess Hooker
And you think back on it, it sure did look like a lover's quarrel. Wow.
Chick McGee
And there's another aspect of this I can mention that is even weirder.
Tom Griswold
I can't wait to hear.
Jess Hooker
Is really something. If you saw in the movie, you wouldn't believe it.
Jeff Oskay
So Aaron plays wordle.
Jess Hooker
So.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
So the point is.
Jess Hooker
Yep.
Chick McGee
Chick was working there, right. And I. I hired him.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, you saved him.
Chick McGee
Okay. So now I even changed his name.
Jess Hooker
Thank.
Chick McGee
David writes for those of you doing wordle. Have you found lately they have words that you leave saying. I've never heard that word before.
Jess Hooker
Well, now, be careful. There are some that haven't done today's yet.
Chick McGee
It's not today's.
Jess Hooker
Okay.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Jess Hooker
So.
Chick McGee
In any event. Yeah. Every once in a while they'll have a word I've never heard, but they.
Jess Hooker
Did a couple days ago.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah. This one, he goes, Tuesday's word was on that list. He says the word was foist.
Jess Hooker
Voice. Yeah, I've heard voice.
Chick McGee
I got it. But I had moist. I guessed moist for the foist means like to force something on someone. Like the. The car dealer foisted the white wall tires.
Tom Griswold
Oh, okay.
Chick McGee
But I did not get it that day.
Josh Arnold
I guess Joyce Hoist, moist. Everything but.
Jeff Oskay
Voiced came before. Before, second.
Jess Hooker
It's also number one in line. Yeah, that's right. Shut up, Josh.
Chick McGee
It's voiced, second and toyed.
Jeff Oskay
Right, right.
Chick McGee
That's why. Remember the previous break? I did that. That's why I was getting ready for that. To talk that way now.
Jess Hooker
I wrote it. He had a whole thing planned. Didn't you?
Chick McGee
Oh, I wrote down. Look, I wrote down voice, second and toy toid. Now. Are we still reading mail?
Jess Hooker
Yeah. I got a letter over here. Dear Bob, at top show yesterday, Josh read a letter that Jim from down south wrote in.
Jeff Oskay
That's right.
Jess Hooker
Jim's young son couldn't think of the name for a beaver and then said, there was a beaver under the table where they were eating, I guess. And what did he call it? Jim's young son said, look, Dad, a grizzly dog.
Chick McGee
Hilarious.
Jess Hooker
Which reminded me of the time my daughter said vagina with an F instead of vagina, which then reminded this writer of the time. His son, who was 5 at the time, he's 20 now, was playing outside. He came running in the house crying and said. He just said a bad word.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, no.
Jess Hooker
My wife and I looked at each other and asked, well, what was the word? And he wouldn't repeat it. So he said, okay, well, what does it rhyme with? And he looked at us and said, vagina. This day, we still laugh about it. That's Chuck and Youngstown.
Chick McGee
All right, thank you very much. Now, yesterday we had a news story about branding, and it's, I guess, a new thing. What's it called? Freeze branding.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Have you heard about this?
Jeff Oskay
Let's go. Branding.
Chick McGee
Oh, very good. Very good.
Jess Hooker
How did that happen?
Chick McGee
Bring that into it.
Jess Hooker
However it happened, I'm glad it's kind of gone away. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Okay, I got two letters here from guys. Instead of using heat to brand cattle, some of us use freeze branding. And that's what the story was about.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Apparently it's nicer for the cattle.
Tom Griswold
Oh, so it's not just a social media trend. Like, it's a legit.
Chick McGee
It's a legit thing done with cattle.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Okay.
Chick McGee
And instead of having a hot branding iron, it's. It's frozen. But people are doing this to people.
Tom Griswold
Yes. Also for tattoos.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, people. People who need.
Chick McGee
And there was. When I was in college, there was a group of guys that did. They got hot branding on their arm.
Jeff Oskay
Idiots.
Tom Griswold
Cryo branding.
Chick McGee
But cryo branding is this. This guy Matt writes, we use liquid nitrogen. Holding cold steel on the animal in this case, causes permanent Hair discoloration. There is no paint involved.
Jeff Oskay
Ah, okay.
Chick McGee
So, and then I went down a rabbit hole on this yesterday and yeah, they, it's obviously better to do it on say black cattle rather than white ones because it turns the hair white.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, gotcha. So it's not gonna, if you, if you freeze branded a white cow, apparently.
Chick McGee
I don't know. That's what, that's what it said.
Josh Arnold
And Josh, you had mentioned about seeing some spray paint. What you thought was spray paint.
Jeff Oskay
It sure looked.
Josh Arnold
Someone wrote in on the text line yesterday and said sometimes when cows are going to market, they will mark which ones are going and if it's like which lot it needs to go into and they'll mark it with spray paint.
Jeff Oskay
That's the spray paint. Okay.
Josh Arnold
So that may be what, and the.
Chick McGee
Great, the great spray paint gag of all time is the senior prank where they, they put, they put five sheep into a high school, let them loose, but they numbered them 1, 2, 3, 4, 6.
Tom Griswold
Oh, that's good.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
So they kept looking the school for number five.
Tom Griswold
I didn't know.
Chick McGee
A true classic. Yeah, that's, yeah. Now coming up we have sporting news.
Jess Hooker
We had the Major League baseball All star game last night and historic first went on with the National League winning. I'll have details. New York jets made sauce. Sauce. Gardner a very happy NFL player. Caitlin Clark injured last night for the Indiana Fever. No update on her groin injury, but we'll visit that. And it was announced before the injury. Thank you, Josh. That Caitlin was going to participate in the three point shooting contest Friday night in Indianapolis, home of the 2025 WNBA All Star Game. We'll see if that still happens with her injury and more sports coming up.
Chick McGee
Okay, thank you very much. And paranormal activity involving a death of a paranormal TV star apparently. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Jess Hooker
Want to share a letter or comment? Our email is bobandtombobandtom.com Ryan Reynolds here from Mint Mobile.

Jess Hooker
Hey. Welcome back to the Bob and Tom show at the Silac Insurance news desk. It's Jess Hooker.
Tom Griswold
Hi.
Jess Hooker
There's Jeff Osk.
Josh Arnold
Hey, buddy.
Jess Hooker
In the brand new Bob and Tom T shirt. It's got a. It's hard to explain it. Very cool. It's got a car on the front of it.
Chick McGee
Sold out.
Jess Hooker
Sold out already.
Tom Griswold
A limited edition.
Josh Arnold
I'll sell you this one off my back. 500 bucks.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. I've got something that cost 500 bucks here in a second. I'll tell you what it is. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. That's Josh Arnold.
Jeff Oskay
Hi.
Jess Hooker
Ace Cosby. I'm Chick mcgee.
Chick McGee
Your mom.
Jess Hooker
Hello, Tom. That's very funny, Tom.
Chick McGee
And probably too high.
Jeff Oskay
My mom would charge far more than that. She's a classy woman.
Jess Hooker
You were talking about a haunted doll. Is that right?
Chick McGee
Yeah. You want to hear the story, Annabelle?
Jess Hooker
I do. Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Made famous in the movies in the Conjuring universe.
Chick McGee
According to the website small I I horror Annabelle is a Raggedy Ann type doll that. It was confiscated in the early seventies by paranorma Ed and Lorraine Warren, world famous investigators after two roommates reported strange incidents after receiving the toy as a gift. They stored the doll behind glass claiming it was possessed by demons.
Jeff Oskay
Yes. And it would show up. They would throw it away and it would just show up at the door. Yeah.
Chick McGee
And it's been. I guess it's been turned into a movie.
Jeff Oskay
A few. Yes.
Chick McGee
So there's a guy named Dan Rivera who has been touring with Annabelle Bell.
Jess Hooker
Wow. Huh.
Chick McGee
He was just found dead. He was on the Devil's on the Run tour and he has. He has died. That. They're doing an autopsy.
Jeff Oskay
They must.
Chick McGee
Yeah. So there. There's a photograph of the dog.
Jess Hooker
That's the actual doll.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Yeah. I mean not. Not as creepy looking as the movie the Annabelle.
Jess Hooker
I think that's far more frightening than I do too.
Jeff Oskay
In its simplicity.
Chick McGee
It says. It says the legend of Annabelle has been turned into the. The quote lucrative film series entitled the Conjuring. So.
Jess Hooker
With Vera Cheese Farmiga. Yeah. And that other guy.
Jeff Oskay
The great Patrick Wilson.
Jess Hooker
Patrick Wilson.
Chick McGee
I thought a paranormal doll was a doll in a wheelchair like the Paralympics.
Jeff Oskay
Did you.
Jess Hooker
Paranormal.
Tom Griswold
Not only did he think it, he said it out loud.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. And his father was in a wheelchair.
Jeff Oskay
May have put pen to paper. We don't know.
Chick McGee
Y. I also thought that Raggedy Ann was a doll that, you know Was on her period.
Jess Hooker
I was gonna say too many periods.
Chick McGee
Kind of like a. Kind of like a more advanced Betsy Wetsy.
Jess Hooker
Sure.
Jeff Oskay
I mean, this is a young guy that.
Tom Griswold
Oh, really?
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
56.
Jeff Oskay
What he looks like he's 27.
Chick McGee
54. Sorry, this is 54 year old Dan Rivera.
Tom Griswold
There's no details.
Chick McGee
I have no detail.
Tom Griswold
Okay, okay.
Jess Hooker
So back in 1965, Tom, when you and I were kids, Hasbro, you know, Hasbro Toy Company, they marketed a doll called Little Miss no Name.
Chick McGee
I don't. I don't recall.
Tom Griswold
I've seen the commercial for this with.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, the commercial is readily available on online. It has. It has a single tear coming down from her eyeball and torn clothes. What?
Tom Griswold
Essentially, she's orphaned.
Jess Hooker
It's an orphan. And.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, look at this.
Jess Hooker
There she is. Oh, God.
Jeff Oskay
I mean, this is like a joke, right?
Tom Griswold
No, no, it wasn't a joke.
Jess Hooker
This is not AI. I remember this vividly.
Jeff Oskay
Wow.
Jess Hooker
And as you might guess, if you got 500, you can buy one online. They're for sale.
Chick McGee
Oh, wow. In the box.
Jess Hooker
Right in the box. And all original.
Jeff Oskay
And look at how sad she is.
Jess Hooker
Hasbro's Little Miss no Name is a study in misguided product marketing. Designed as the antithesis of the impossibly glamorous Barbie. Little Miss no Name failed on so many levels. Hasbro's main misstep with this doll was accidentally plugging the harmless escapism that Barbie lovers everywhere would enjoying with Little Miss no Name. You could name her and save her and take care of her. That's what they thought. And it's really as you. You said, Tom. When most people saw it, they would say, oh, my God, that's horribly sad.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, it's. She's unshod.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. No. Yeah. No shoes.
Chick McGee
Oh, geez.
Tom Griswold
We kind of did that with Cabbage Patch.
Jess Hooker
Oh, yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, a little bit. You would adopt a cabbage Patch.
Chick McGee
This one, that was. Yeah, that was cartoonish. What's the word I'm looking for? It didn't look human. This thing looks like a real doll.
Tom Griswold
What was that art artist that did the big eyes with the.
Jess Hooker
Oh, we were talking about this the other day. All the paintings with the little kids.
Tom Griswold
What that looks like down the house?
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, she does have those big eyes.
Chick McGee
Is that.
Jeff Oskay
They're black as night.
Chick McGee
Is that the. Is that the one where the wife did all the paintings and the guy took credit? The guy took all the credit? Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Is that right?
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Oh, that was in the documentary. I haven't seen the documentary.
Chick McGee
Fascinating. That actually kind of Leads to a new story coming up this morning. They auctioned off the all the intellectual property of the Fyre Festival. Speaking of, you'd mentioned failed marketing. We have a huge story about the Fyre Festival coming up. Fyre. You may recall the debacle that was the Fyre Festival a few years ago. That guy went to jail for, I want to say five plus years.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, six.
Chick McGee
We'll be talking about that coming up. But right now I believe is it time to turn to the sports page?
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Pay attention, kids. Major League Baseball. Last night, Kyle schwaber Schwarby went 3 for 3 in the first All Star game home run swing off to put the National League ahead 43 and win the game. Following a 66 tie, the American League rallied from a six run deficit in baseball's equivalent of soccer's penalty kick shootout. The game was decided by having three batters from each league that were chosen before the game started started, take three swings a piece a piece off of pitching coaches.
Jeff Oskay
Man, that's fun.
Jess Hooker
The change was agreed to a 2022 to alleviate the concern of teams running out of pitchers. With the National League did last night. They didn't have any more pitchers. And it's an All Star Game, so why risk injury?
Chick McGee
Sure.
Jess Hooker
And they did this. Schwarber named All Star mvp. He went over two with a walk in the game. But they asked him before the game started if this gets down to a swing off. And don't you find that swingers are the nicest people?
Jeff Oskay
They are very kind. Generous.
Jess Hooker
Yes.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Giving.
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Jess Hooker
And altruistic.
Chick McGee
Clean lovers of pineapple.
Jess Hooker
Pineapple makes the quack taste really good.
Chick McGee
Isn't that the symbol, the pineapple on the door?
Jess Hooker
Okay. I didn't.
Ali Breen
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
And last night, Major League Baseball honored the late hall of Famer Hank Aaron. Game was at Truest park in Atlanta. They recreated his record breaking 715th career home run through the use of projection mapping and custom pyrotechnics.
Chick McGee
Oh, cool.
Jess Hooker
The lights went down at Truest. Fans stood with their cell phones. The scene from April 8, 1974 at Old Atlanta Fulton County Stadium was projected on the infield and also shown on the video board. Aaron's widow, Billy Aaron was cheered as she stood and waved. Following that tribute. I plainly remember Hank Aaron hitting 715. That's how old I am.
Chick McGee
Tom, that's very nice. Very nice.
Jess Hooker
And the jets make Sauce Gardner, the highest paid Cornerback in the NFL. Four years, $120.4 million.
Tom Griswold
Sauce? Is that what you said?
Jess Hooker
Sauce Gardener. That's his nickel.
Tom Griswold
Oh, okay.
Jess Hooker
I'm not. I think his actual name is Chauncey. Chauncey Gardner.
Chick McGee
Ah, you know, Chauncey Gardner is.
Tom Griswold
No, I have no idea.
Chick McGee
Great movie called Being There with Peter Sellers.
Jess Hooker
Okay.
Chick McGee
Terrific movie.
Jess Hooker
And I don't have.
Chick McGee
I'll go get Warren. Seen the movie.
Jess Hooker
That's your favorite part of that movie?
Chick McGee
Because I like to watch. Hilarious.
Jess Hooker
Did you have a world record? Because it has not made its way to me.
Chick McGee
I'm. Well, kind of. I've got a couple sad sports stories. I wasn't sure you wanted to hear them. Oh, the world's oldest marathon runner.
Jess Hooker
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I saw this.
Chick McGee
Fauja Singh. He died, allegedly at the age of 114.
Jeff Oskay
Okay.
Chick McGee
But the sad part is he died. He got run over by a car.
Tom Griswold
No.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Sorry. Apparently in a hit and run accent. Excuse me. A hit and run accident.
Jess Hooker
Here. There she comes.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. There's old Freud in.
Chick McGee
In Punjab. I'm not kidding.
Tom Griswold
Oh, good God, that's awful.
Chick McGee
He became the oldest man to run a full Marathon in 2011 at the age of a hundred in Toronto.
Jess Hooker
Okay, so how old are you, Josh? 47. 46. What is it?
Jeff Oskay
How the hell. Yeah, 47.
Jess Hooker
47. So do you have 67 more years in you?
Jeff Oskay
No, no.
Jess Hooker
God, no.
Jeff Oskay
And I certainly don't have marathons in me.
Chick McGee
14. He ran his last competitive marathon at the age of 101.
Jess Hooker
Wow. Man, oh, man.
Chick McGee
Again, good for him. But sadly, Dinah, hit by a car.
Jess Hooker
There are many, many jokes. The equivalent.
Jeff Oskay
Look at that poor bastard.
Josh Arnold
Do we know if he threw himself in front of a car because life wouldn't take him?
Jeff Oskay
Well, if the reaper won't, maybe this Ford will.
Chick McGee
He has. He has a beard not unlike yours, Jeff Oskay.
Jess Hooker
Well, it is unlike Jeff's.
Chick McGee
No, it's not. It's the same length. It's very bushy and long.
Jess Hooker
The same length.
Chick McGee
It's a little white. But then now underneath the turban, that's all hair. Right? That's a.
Jeff Oskay
No way.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Because it's a newspaper for this guy.
Chick McGee
Isn't that. Isn't the religion that he celebrates? That's the deal. You don't cut your hair. Right, Right.
Tom Griswold
Unless he went bald.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, my God.
Tom Griswold
But look how bushy his eyebrows are.
Chick McGee
Yeah, they're. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
How does that. I. I live in fear of that because older guys just let their eyebrows go. So I'm constantly trimming my eyebrows. Yeah, I don't want to.
Jeff Oskay
I am too very mindful of it.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Anyway, sadly, I don't know if it's that sad.
Jeff Oskay
I mean, I'll just sing his. He wanted to go.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
He doesn't look.
Jess Hooker
He was quoted as saying, I long for the relief that death will bring. Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Plus, you see how frail he looked.
Chick McGee
114.
Jeff Oskay
Could have been hit by a moth and killed.
Jess Hooker
He didn't look like he weighed 100 pounds.
Chick McGee
I think your attitude is wrong. Not so fast.
Jeff Oskay
Are you now, old man?
Jess Hooker
Come on, make room. Make room for younger people.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Jess Hooker
Thank you.
Chick McGee
All right, now, the Bob and Tom show was brought to you by our friends at Better Help. Give me the teaser real quick. What's coming up in sports?
Jess Hooker
Well, we're gonna find something else to talk about.
Tom Griswold
I think sports was done.
Jess Hooker
I thought sports was done. Oh, it was done. World record.
Chick McGee
Oh, the world record that I forgot to give you. Okay. That's completely unreal.
Jess Hooker
Talk about other stuff. Stuff.
Chick McGee
We've got other stuff right now. The Bottom Time show, like I said, brought to you by BetterHelp. It's all about perhaps maybe getting some of that workplace stress to get tossed out the window. Whatever you might have stress about, maybe you thought about therapy. Therapy can be really, really helpful. And BetterHelp is the largest online therapy provider in the world. That's the key. It's done online, so you'll be hooked up with a therapist, and they have therapists with a variety of fields of expertise, and you'll be hooked up with a therapist. And the therapy done online, you can do it with your phone, you can do it like a zoom call, you can do it like a phone call. You can even text back and forth. It's up to you. So it's obviously a lot more convenient. And this is really interesting. The BetterHelp app store rating is 4.9 out of 5 with nearly 2 million reviews. So it's clear they're helping a lot of people. And by the way, they work with some 30,000 therapists. So if you've been thinking about therapy, give BetterHelp a shot. It's betterhelp.com BTShow and by the way, the BTShow part will knock 10% off your first month. So see what I'm talking about? Betterhelp.com BTShow if you've been thinking about therapy, this is a much easier way to access therapy with trained, professional therapists. Once again, the Bob and Tom show, sponsored by Better Health. Coming up, a world record, perhaps also some exciting things from the world of news, including do your dogs control your life?
Jess Hooker
Yep.
Chick McGee
Survey says yep. Plus we get to learn a new word. Dink wads. Anybody? Anybody?
Jess Hooker
Oh, that's the ejaculate.
Chick McGee
No.
Jess Hooker
And a man. What?
Chick McGee
No. Coming up, we'll find out what a dink wad is. From the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios, this is the Bob and tom show.
Tom Griswold

Jess Hooker

Get the parts and service you need fast from the professional parts people at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Jess Hooker at the Silac Insurance news desk. Hello, there's Jeff Oscar.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
There's Josh Arnold.
Jeff Oskay
Hi there.
Jess Hooker
Ace is here. Nine chick. Hello, Tom. What do you got going on over there, buddy?
Chick McGee
There we go. Sorting through some stuff over here. Coming up next Monday, comedian Pat McGann will be our guest. Great comedian. He's going to be at the Helium Comedy Club in St. Louis coming up Friday night.
Jess Hooker
So they don't make people do helium before they go up and do their stand up, do they?
Chick McGee
They do not. I would certainly recommend program.
Jess Hooker
Are you aware of that, Josh? Did you listen to the Bob and Tob show when they did? Was it Helium Monday?
Chick McGee
Yeah. That was a really bad idea.
Jeff Oskay
But you guys actually inhaled the helium.
Jess Hooker
And then we had jokes.
Chick McGee
We had a tank installed.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
I mean a big one.
Jeff Oskay
Always kind of fun to do.
Tom Griswold
But you, you got to be real careful.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Overdose on helium and oxygen's not getting to your brain.
Chick McGee
I'm not sure how it.
Jess Hooker
And then you got to get a headache. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Yikes.
Jess Hooker
And it's not even cool. Like nitrous.
Chick McGee
It got old very quickly. But we had like a six foot tank in the corner with some friend of the show had set up some elaborate system of tubes. We could take it directly regulator helium. It had to circulate so it didn't freeze your lungs. It was very complicated.
Jeff Oskay
There's a finite amount of helium, right?
Chick McGee
Yeah. But they discovered that. They discovered a new.
Jeff Oskay
A pocket of it.
Chick McGee
Yeah, there was it, it literally was running out.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
But they've discovered A massive amount of it.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, okay.
Jess Hooker
Good.
Chick McGee
Good news for you blimp fans.
Jess Hooker
That sounds like price fixing.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
There. No more helium. Oh, never mind. We found some. Yeah, right. I don't know about that.
Chick McGee
You're a conspiracy guy.
Jess Hooker
I'm sure I am. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Well, coming up we have more sports. Is that correct?
Jess Hooker
That is not correct.
Chick McGee
Okay, sorry. I. I have a.
Jess Hooker
Another way of saying that that's wrong. Yeah, go ahead.
Chick McGee
No, I don't know what I. What I did with it. We' move forward here.
Jess Hooker
Stupid world record. I thought you said you had a world.
Chick McGee
I know, but I can't find it.
Jess Hooker
Can you give us a thumbnail of what it was like?
Chick McGee
No, I can. Whatever it was. I forgot.
Jeff Oskay
Well, we can visit the Psylac insurance company news desk.
Chick McGee
We could visit the news desk. I. I can. I'll look for it. I'll find it. What have you got over there?
Tom Griswold
A new survey finds that many dog owners are letting their pets take lead in their daily life.
Jess Hooker
My oldest, golden, she's going to be 12. I call her her your highness. She. She runs the place. Absolutely.
Tom Griswold
According to research from Talker, 2000 dog owners were pulled including so so called dink wads.
Jeff Oskay
What are dink wads now?
Chick McGee
Have you heard this?
Tom Griswold
It's short for double income. No kids with a dog.
Jeff Oskay
No kidding.
Jess Hooker
Dink wads.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
So instead, instead of kids of a dog.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, it was just dinks. That's a. That's a very common term now. Now they've added with dogs.
Jeff Oskay
Okay.
Tom Griswold
And that's the was kids.
Chick McGee
So dinks is just means couple that.
Tom Griswold
They'Re both working on. No kids.
Chick McGee
Very, very.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. So among that group, 70% said their lives revolve around their dog. 65% considered their dog to be a child. On average, dog parents, parents cut plans short about six times a month to return home early for their dogs.
Chick McGee
This is all applies to me too.
Jeff Oskay
I think it even applies to me. And I'm a cat owner.
Tom Griswold
Many reported.
Jess Hooker
You are a dinkwire boy.
Chick McGee
That sounds.
Tom Griswold
That's different.
Chick McGee
It's also like some kind of a man who masturbates a lot with a small penis.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, I'm a dinkwack.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, I'm a dink whacker.
Chick McGee
But I mean, give yourself some. Give yourself some crap credit of the year.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Oh, you meant. I see. I appreciate that.
Chick McGee
I was trying to help you go the other way.
Jess Hooker
There's. There's something very similar about having a child, having a dog like the hat. One of the happiest moments of my life is when I found a. A daycare center for my dogs that they enjoyed. And I. I felt that they were safe while they were. Yes, they were there.
Jeff Oskay
That's wonderful.
Jess Hooker
Just like a nursery for a kid. Yeah. It's not.
Jeff Oskay
And you. You nailed it. That they enjoy.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Chick McGee
None of this is surprising that people.
Tom Griswold
No. Many reported adjusting their work routines or even their job locations to better accommodate their pets.
Jess Hooker
Absolutely.
Chick McGee
If you get home, they got to go for walks. And.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. 60% of dink wads admitted they've skipped outings because their dog looked lonely.
Jeff Oskay
I've. I've been. I've not gone to movies because I was like, oh, my cats don't want me to leave.
Josh Arnold
Really?
Ali Breen
Yes.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
And another 60% stayed home simply because their dog looked too cute and comfy.
Jeff Oskay
But I think that's good for us in a way.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Josh Arnold
Does it have the percentage of people who use their dogs as an excuse to leave a function they don't want to be at? I do that. Oh, I. I'd love to stay longer, but I gotta get. Get the.
Jeff Oskay
I think. I think just said 65 of people have admitted to doing that.
Josh Arnold
Oh, just.
Jess Hooker
We'll.
Josh Arnold
We'll make that up.
Jeff Oskay
Well, we'll say that they.
Chick McGee
But, I mean, they have to. You really have.
Jess Hooker
I wonder what the percentage is of people who watch Friends dogs while they're out of town. I don't know. I know Jeff is watching Pat Godwin's dog at his. Is he being the best boy?
Josh Arnold
He's the best little boy ever.
Jess Hooker
Is that right? Toddler?
Jeff Oskay
A snuggler.
Josh Arnold
He is. He's tiny. He's. He's horny.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
You could tell he's past dog. It's humping everything.
Chick McGee
Not neutered yet, right?
Josh Arnold
No, it's about a month away from being neutered, apparently.
Jess Hooker
Now, when they're not neutered, do they complete. I don't know, on a curtain?
Josh Arnold
I don't think so. But I did hear this from the other room yesterday. Oh, it just laid its balls on my leg.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
But my daughter. We have two female dogs, so that's not an issue.
Jess Hooker
You.
Jeff Oskay
Right, right. In this case, it is.
Josh Arnold
I made me laugh very hard.
Chick McGee
But they're. And they're. They're neutered, though, right? You're not going to end up with a little.
Jess Hooker
Pat Jr. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Jess Hooker
But didn't you say Brody was.
Josh Arnold
Brody's doing just great. Pat is listening from Florida, and his dog is doing just Great. And we're enjoying having him.
Jeff Oskay
It's a very cute dog. Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
We should point this out. Mr. Pat Godwin tonight will be on stage McCurdy's in Sarasota, Florida, tonight, tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Sunday. Check out McCurdy's if you're near Sarasota, Florida. And once again, the. The essence of this article is that dogs run the lives of their masters.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Oh, yeah. And I would submit that dogs. I. Majority of people, their dogs are running their life, and they're not aware of it. Oh, you know what I'm trying to say.
Jeff Oskay
Oh.
Josh Arnold
The amount of times I let my. Okay, I'll let you out now, but that's all for tonight. And then 20 minutes later, I'm opening the door to let him out again. I just totally forgot.
Jess Hooker
I don't know when it started, but I talked to my dogs like they're people. Now I just let you out.
Chick McGee
I'll say things like, now, how many times have we discussed not getting up on the bed?
Jess Hooker
That's right. We've talked about it.
Chick McGee
And by the way, who ordered the bacon truck?
Jess Hooker
And I want to see big jokes. His cat ordered a million dollars worth of cat toys or something.
Jeff Oskay
I'd say five, six times a day. I look at my cat and go, may I help you?
Chick McGee
Doesn't the. The word dink wad. It sounds like an insult from a Porky's movie.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, it's not. What was the wad? We used a wad term. Like f. Wad.
Jeff Oskay
That is a thing. But there's. But there's another one.
Tom Griswold
There is one. That's a little more water. Yeah. Something like that.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
We used that a lot growing dink.
Chick McGee
Sounds kind of like dinkus. A chick. You want to take dinkus.
Jess Hooker
That's what we call the penis. And my. My mother called that your dinkus. It was my dinkus, not my penis. As we.
Jeff Oskay
Right.
Chick McGee
Is that a regional term or is that just something.
Jess Hooker
I don't know. I. She must have gotten it somewhere because she was.
Tom Griswold
That seems nice. Like, that's a very.
Jess Hooker
Dinkus.
Tom Griswold
Regular thing for a mom to call.
Jess Hooker
I guess it does seem in the abstract fact can be considered loving.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Kind of normal.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
It does seem cute and fine. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Did your mom and dad call it a dinkus?
Jeff Oskay
We called it a weenie.
Jess Hooker
Weenie.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. We were a weenie household.
Tom Griswold
We were. We're just wean.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, Wayne, that's good.
Josh Arnold
We never spoke of anything like that in our household.
Tom Griswold
That's crazy.
Chick McGee
No, Tom, Never brought up you and.
Jess Hooker
Your brothers playing grab ass at the lake house when you were like 10, 11, 12 along in there. Did you guys call each other the love stick or what did you call it?
Chick McGee
I don't recall any unusual name.
Jeff Oskay
I mean, you would just say penis.
Jess Hooker
Penis?
Chick McGee
Yeah. I don't remember.
Jess Hooker
Have Jess, have you heard the story about Tom and his brother was on the toilet and.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Tom decided to urinate between his legs.
Chick McGee
Oh, it's a classic.
Jeff Oskay
It's not thinly veiled.
Chick McGee
A brutal beating followed.
Josh Arnold
By the way, would you and your brother.
Jess Hooker
Stu.
Josh Arnold
We would like do a horseshoe around the toilet so all three of us could pee at the same time. And then you would try to hit the other stream and knock it into the other one.
Chick McGee
Yeah, you'd shout out horse. You. You shout out sword fight.
Tom Griswold
Your mother beat you.
Jeff Oskay
No, no, no, we never did.
Chick McGee
Yeah, sword fight.
Tom Griswold
A mess.
Chick McGee
Absolutely.
Jess Hooker
Why? My mother beat me.
Tom Griswold
Oh, sorry. I said.
Jess Hooker
Never mind. Never mind.
Chick McGee
You might have deserved it. Well, I'll tell you, I've been around you long enough to know.
Jess Hooker
Hang on.
Jeff Oskay
Dr. Tom Griswold in his new book. Maybe you deserved it.
Jess Hooker
It' you.
Chick McGee
It's about time someone stepped up and.
Jess Hooker
Said, hey, we've all been around kids.
Chick McGee
Where you go, someone needs to beat that kid.
Jess Hooker
We've all been around chick. That's what she said. I deserved it. So maybe. Maybe she was right. I got all wrong.
Chick McGee
Not all kids are angels.
Jess Hooker
That's right.
Chick McGee
Hang out a little bit. You'll find out. If you're just joining us, if you're just joining us. Hello. This is the Babaton Program coming to you from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Sitting in for Christy Lee, it's Ms. Jessica Hooker. She's right over there. I can see her. Coming up today, it'll be Sexy time with Ali Breen and the other Jess. But we get back to the Silac Insurance news desk. What else is happening over there?
Tom Griswold
Mattel. The makers of Uno, have partnered with the Palms Casino Resort to bring an unusual experience to Las Vegas. The Palms announced that Mattel is hosting its first ever UNO Social Club event at the resort.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, okay.
Tom Griswold
So it's not hosting the game. There's not going to be an UNO table.
Chick McGee
Yeah, when they. In the casino, when they announced this, it was very confusing and people thought they were. You were going to be able to bet on uno.
Tom Griswold
Yes. Which does sound like fun, actually.
Jess Hooker
Well, they have. They have Pai Gow, which was not. See, the casinos are trying to come up with new Games where people enjoy playing them so they'll spend more money, obviously, but. And they have in between.
Jeff Oskay
At a casino.
Jess Hooker
At a casino. I've seen. I've seen in between.
Jeff Oskay
I'm a big fan of in between where you get.
Jess Hooker
You. You.
Jeff Oskay
The dealer will lay down. Yeah, yeah.
Jess Hooker
And then you bet if the next car is going to be in between the two cards.
Jeff Oskay
So the dealer will put down a three and a jack. So do you want to bet that the next card will be between a three and a jack?
Chick McGee
Oh, that's cool.
Jeff Oskay
Now if you. If the dealer throws a three or a jack down, you have to pay double, at least in our.
Jess Hooker
Right, right.
Jeff Oskay
In many rules.
Jess Hooker
That's.
Chick McGee
Oh, that's cool.
Jeff Oskay
So.
Jess Hooker
But if a deuce pops up, you lose all your.
Jeff Oskay
Right, right. But if it's a four, you win.
Jess Hooker
You win.
Tom Griswold
On social media. Right. Now, the new betting game is to call the gamb and bet whether or not the person that answers is male or female.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Jeff Oskay
That's like one of those bars that you get to drink for free if you turn in your AA chip. That's disgusting.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah. Bothering people, trying to help people. Thanks. Thanks a lot. What's next? Well, I couldn't get through. I couldn't get through to the suicide hotline because people were calling, asking for techniques.
Jess Hooker
You might have a problem if you're betting on the gender.
Chick McGee
But this UNO thing. Thing. Yeah, I just started playing this with my girls. It's fun.
Jeff Oskay
I would have to be reminded of.
Tom Griswold
How to play we are in Uno house, so. Yeah.
Chick McGee
But I'll tell you what the. Have you ever played?
Jeff Oskay
I have. Yeah. We used to play a lot as a kid. I don't remember how to do it.
Chick McGee
The fun thing is they call. What is it, the reverse card.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Well, that'd be fun to have in Vegas.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, right.
Chick McGee
Hey, you just lost 5,000 bucks. Oh, yeah. Reverse card.
Jess Hooker
Boom.
Tom Griswold
From July 18th to the 20th, one lucky pair age 21 or older will win a stay in a vibrant color themed suite built around a luxury UNO experience.
Chick McGee
No time to enter, apparently.
Tom Griswold
The suite includes custom game tables, a private bowling alley. Contestants can enter via Tick tock video using the UNO reverse filter through June 19th.
Jess Hooker
They have UNO July 19th or June T shirts and pajamas and UNO themed. Anything you'd want.
Tom Griswold
We had an UNO themed birthday party. My daughter is. That's her favorite game ever. So we did the whole thing. And she does. She has Uno T shirt, pajamas, all of it.
Jess Hooker
Oh, nice.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, she loves the Uno.
Jeff Oskay
Is Uno named after like a Guy like, you know, James.
Jess Hooker
No, no, no. It means.
Chick McGee
It means it was in. It was just invented, I want to say, in the early 70s.
Tom Griswold
Oh.
Chick McGee
And then.
Jess Hooker
Well, that's hardly just.
Chick McGee
Well, as opposed to, say, years ago. As opposed to bridge.
Jess Hooker
You don't know what year it is, do you? 55 years ago, it was just invented in the term.
Chick McGee
In terms of card games. You illiterate. Many of the. Many card games are quite. You think poker was invented.
Jeff Oskay
Wasn't playing Uno.
Chick McGee
That's what I'm trying to say.
Jess Hooker
And I say you can. Five card stud, seven card studies, stud. That's it. Don't bring home, you know, like Texas.
Tom Griswold
Hold them. I love Texas.
Jess Hooker
Those are essentially stud, don't bring. Yeah, but you have to play with everybody, and that's. No, I have. I have my cards. Keep your hands off my cards.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Jess Hooker
I was.
Chick McGee
Merle Roberts, a barber from Reading, Ohio, invented UNO in 1971.
Jess Hooker
Never heard of.
Chick McGee
He created the game to resolve a family argument about the rules of Crazy eight.
Tom Griswold
Oh, okay.
Chick McGee
Uno means one in Spanish and Italian, and it refers to the fact that a player must shout uno when they're down to one card.
Jess Hooker
Uno.
Chick McGee
This is really interesting.
Jess Hooker
I don't see you playing a game like, I don't see you playing any sort of board games or card games.
Chick McGee
I'm terrible at cards, but I've been playing Uno and a couple of others lately.
Tom Griswold
I love Rummy.
Jeff Oskay
I love Rum.
Tom Griswold
Rummy.
Josh Arnold
I would do that at a. Like a casino boat, like the Rummy Experience or the Euchre Experience.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah.
Jess Hooker
They have a Euchre Experience.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
In the Midwest.
Jess Hooker
I didn't know that.
Josh Arnold
No, I just made it up to go with the Uno.
Tom Griswold
I would do that. Yeah. I love Euchre.
Jeff Oskay
We played Rummy Cube, where they were on tiles that you had to.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah.
Jeff Oskay
My grandparents had that. We love. Oh, boy, we love to go.
Chick McGee
Uno is now one of the most popular card games in the world. Wow. So who knew? He sold it to Mattel for $50,000.
Jess Hooker
Wow. What? He should go back.
Chick McGee
And apparently there may be a royalty involved now, but he was a barber. Good for him.
Tom Griswold
Cool.
Chick McGee
I'm not sure if Merle's still with.
Jeff Oskay
Us, but there's no way to finish up the story.
Jess Hooker
No, of course he's still with us because Uno was just invented in 1971.
Chick McGee
He could be in a. His maybe later years.
Jeff Oskay
Let's say.
Jess Hooker
Let's say he was 30, Justin. He'd be 90 now. 85. 90.
Jeff Oskay
I know there's a chance Then, yeah, there is. There's a chance.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, He. He's not very happy, but he's still alive.
Chick McGee
I'm fine. I'll find out.
Jeff Oskay
How many years does he have left on this planet?
Jess Hooker
Uno. Oh, sorry.
Jeff Oskay
Different game entirely.
Chick McGee
Oh, dear. He's been gone for quite the sometime.
Jess Hooker
Well, no, according to you, he just died.
Chick McGee
If he were alive, he'd be 114.
Jess Hooker
Oh, okay. So he was.
Chick McGee
He died many years ago. Sorry. But I'm sure his family's collecting the royalties, which hope they well deserve.
Jess Hooker
I hope so.
Chick McGee
Now, would it be fun? And if Vegas had a special wing and a casino that had nothing but kids games you could bet on, like Go Fish.
Tom Griswold
That'd be fun.
Jess Hooker
Candy, Candyland, all that stuff.
Chick McGee
I think people go in there.
Jess Hooker
What's the name of. Sorry, what's the. Oh, the Game of Life. Where you put little pegs in cars. Yeah, Game of Life.
Chick McGee
But if you could gamble with those, it might be kind of fun. A little bit of nostalgia. Coming up in the news, we have some exciting stuff, including should you put yogurt on your windows? And we have sexy time with Ali Breen on the way to help people with their love troubles. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.

Jess Hooker
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. There's Jess Hooker at the Silac Insurance news desk. Hello, there's Jeff Oskay. Hi. Hello. Josh Arnold.
Jeff Oskay
Hi there.
Jess Hooker
Ace Cosby's here. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick and here's Tom.
Chick McGee
Thank you very much.
Jess Hooker
You're welcome.
Chick McGee
Let's take credit for the rain happening all over the country. My fault. The dogs are getting groomed today. Never fails by definition. Okay, we have Jess Hooker over there at the Silac Insurance news desk.
Tom Griswold
What's happening the rights to the infamous Fyre Festival have been sold on ebay for just over $245,000.
Jess Hooker
Wow.
Jeff Oskay
What the heck.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. A fraction of the estimated 20, 26 million in restitution owed by organizer Billy McFarland.
Chick McGee
Yikes.
Tom Griswold
McFarlane listed the festival's trademarks, digital assets and social media accounts in July following a failed attempt to revive the brand in the Caribbean. He acknowledged that the price was low, but stated the sales support restitution efforts directed at the original festival victims.
Chick McGee
But I mean, that's what. What percent.
Tom Griswold
10% of what 26 million is owed. And he got 245,000.
Chick McGee
What do you think they're going to do with them?
Jeff Oskay
Who would want that, right?
Tom Griswold
I don't know.
Jess Hooker
There might be like re engineered Fire Festival. I think that would have some interest.
Chick McGee
The thing is, the name is out there.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Chick McGee
But it's. It's. There are cases. I'm trying to think of one. Oh, what's. What was a Battlestar Galactic. Remember the original? That bombed and was terrible.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Chick McGee
Then they brought it back and it was a big success.
Tom Griswold
I didn't know that.
Jess Hooker
Amazing.
Chick McGee
There's something about having a name that's out there, even if it's.
Jess Hooker
Well, yeah, we've always talked about that. Name recognition. That's why all the old TV shows come back, because people are intrigued. They recognize.
Chick McGee
I mean, they've. They think about all the movies that have been made out of even bad TV shows.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Ironside, for instance.
Chick McGee
Yeah. What?
Jeff Oskay
They did bring that show back. I think it was Blair Underwood.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. He was, wasn't he? In the chair. Yeah, that's right. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Well, they. Ironside. We should explain. Raymond Burr played a detective who was wheelchair bound.
Jess Hooker
Mark.
Chick McGee
And he was.
Tom Griswold
Okay, back to the wheelchairs.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Then they. Then they tried expand. They tried doing it a. They just took it too far. Typical of our culture. Iron lung. Where.
Jeff Oskay
Oh yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
They had a fat guy. They were wheeling him around in a big iron long. He's trying to solve crimes. It was unrealistic.
Tom Griswold
They still use those. No, no, no iron lungs.
Jess Hooker
No iron lungs. Was your dad. Your dad was in an.
Chick McGee
He wasn't. My father had polio. He was indeed in an iron lung for a while. Absolutely.
Jess Hooker
Aren't all evil doers at one point in an iron lung?
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Jess Hooker
And they're called Iron man and they try to take over the city. Isn't it?
Chick McGee
But the thing about this Fyre Fest, I mean, I assume that the T shirt business might be okay.
Jeff Oskay
Maybe, but is it worth 250?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
Would you? What's a better example? What about like, say, Enron?
Jeff Oskay
Right.
Chick McGee
Does somebody own the rights?
Jess Hooker
Oh, I don't know.
Jeff Oskay
To like Enron, that cubic thing.
Jess Hooker
There are T shirts, sites on the Internet where they have discontinued NHL teams.
Jeff Oskay
And restaurants and all restaurants.
Chick McGee
Oh, absolutely.
Jeff Oskay
But you just have to decide, hey, is this worth 250?
Jess Hooker
Now?
Jeff Oskay
A movie studio could buy if they wanted to make a movie.
Chick McGee
They made two documentaries about it.
Jeff Oskay
Right, right. But if they wanted to do a fictionalized movie, 250,000 is probably about right.
Tom Griswold
Billy McFarland streamed the IP auction and said, damn, this sucks. It's so low. When the bidding amount reached past 240, he laughed when he looked at the brand who bought it and said, it's funny. But he didn't disclose the name.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, okay.
Jess Hooker
What do they call that? A reserve. You don't have to sell it unless it meets the reserve or.
Chick McGee
But they. So he sold it. He's just not saying. He's not. Apparently some other brand apparently bought it or someone who's well known.
Tom Griswold
We'll find out.
Chick McGee
It'll. Yeah, it'll be. But who knows? I mean, what. What about Twitter? That's got. That's technically no longer right. It's now strictly X. Yeah, but people.
Jess Hooker
Call it Twitter all the time.
Tom Griswold
What was the one before Facebook that we had had MySpace?
Chick McGee
MySpace, yeah, that's still out there, I think.
Tom Griswold
Oh, really? Okay.
Chick McGee
Didn't.
Jess Hooker
Were you ever on MySpace, Tom?
Chick McGee
No. What's his name? Bought it.
Jeff Oskay
The Timberlake tried to. He and a few other guys.
Chick McGee
Oh, yes. Who knows? I mean, a fire festival. It is a. It's a well known brand and maybe they could come out with, who knows, a line of clothes or something. I don't know. What do you think they come out with?
Jess Hooker
There's some sort of value to name recognition.
Jeff Oskay
It could also be Ryan Reynolds who just went, hey, look, that's 250. I bought this as a lark.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Jeff Oskay
You know, somebody like that.
Chick McGee
See the guy that has the gin?
Tom Griswold
Yes. Aviation.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
And a cell phone and all that.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, it's a cell phone company too. That's. And he's going to sell everything he has for billions of dollars here, anytime.
Chick McGee
Oh, nice.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, nice, nice.
Chick McGee
I mean, what TV shows have yet to be made into a movie from back in the day?
Jess Hooker
I was going to blurt out the Beverly Hillbillies, but they did that one.
Tom Griswold
They did. Yeah, I liked that one.
Jeff Oskay
Jim Varney and Cloris Leachman.
Chick McGee
I mean, Mission Impossible. That's a Hugely successful movie series. That was a television show.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
That movie they made of Meet the Press.
Jess Hooker
That was really, really dragged in the middle, didn't it?
Jeff Oskay
It did, yeah.
Chick McGee
They can't do it anymore because the press is disappearing, sadly.
Josh Arnold
Next spring, they're coming out with Facts of Life.
Jess Hooker
Oh, wow.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that's going to be good.
Jeff Oskay
Who's playing Mrs. Garrett?
Jess Hooker
No.
Tom Griswold
Jessica Chesting.
Jess Hooker
No, no, the. Molly McFarland. No, that's not her name. Melissa McCarthy.
Tom Griswold
Oh, there you go.
Jeff Oskay
That's actually a good choice.
Tom Griswold
It is.
Jess Hooker
Let's see.
Chick McGee
That might work.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Again, you've got. You've got a whole era of people who were kids when that was huge.
Jess Hooker
Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
And they've made almost everything.
Jess Hooker
Just a quick snapshot into chick's brain. Molly McFarland. No. Melissa McCarthy.
Josh Arnold
Oh, you could have. Who's the. Who's the lady Pat likes could play Blair. The. The chesty.
Tom Griswold
You have to be more specific.
Josh Arnold
From Euphoria.
Jeff Oskay
Sydney Sweeney. Yeah, that's a good choice. Yeah. Blair.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. All those girls are still around. They have a podcast and they. They're on each other's. And they could all make cameos. Yeah, they look great.
Josh Arnold
80 from SNL could play.
Jess Hooker
Oh, yeah.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah, that'd be good. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
The fat girl.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I was going to say her name instead of saying fat girl, but.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, I just went with fat girl.
Josh Arnold
Natalie.
Jeff Oskay
Natalie, yeah.
Tom Griswold
Natalie. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Okay, let's return to the news desk. What else have we missed from the BBC?
Tom Griswold
New research suggests that yogurt could help cool your house down.
Jess Hooker
Well, this is all right. You have to load it into your air conditioner, but maybe an odor issue.
Tom Griswold
Dr. Ben Roberts of Loughbore University suggests that applying yogurt to the outside of windows can lower the temperature inside by 6 degrees Fahrenheit. This is stupid.
Jeff Oskay
It. And increase ants by 3,000.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, you're gonna get a hippie infestation if you have that much yogurt.
Jess Hooker
Anybody else. Anybody else noticing the ants? I noticed ants at my house for the first time ever.
Tom Griswold
Did you have a tree cut down?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, but quite a while ago. I don't know.
Jeff Oskay
So how do you live in squalor?
Chick McGee
How would you apply the yogurt?
Tom Griswold
According to Dr. Roberts, the yogurt forms a thin film on the window and reflects some of the incoming solar radiation.
Jeff Oskay
Skin window tints.
Tom Griswold
No kidding.
Jess Hooker
Or you could just.
Chick McGee
Oil, by the way, for the. For the. The backyard windows. Greek yogurt.
Jeff Oskay
I see. Yes, indeed. You would want.
Jess Hooker
Be sure to smear it on your back door.
Tom Griswold
Just in case, he added that yogurt smells for about 30 seconds when it's drying, but then as soon as it's dry, the smell disappears.
Jess Hooker
Is that right?
Chick McGee
But it does say if you keep reading, don't use that activa stuff. It makes the purge poop down.
Josh Arnold
Does it say what flavor? Like, do you want to go with a blueberry yogurt or a strong?
Tom Griswold
Depends on the tent Fruit.
Jess Hooker
Good God, what a bad idea.
Chick McGee
Coming up today in History plus, coming up, sexy time with Ally Breen to help you with your love life. That's what we do here. These are the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.

Jess Hooker
So right now we're podcasting? No, not yet. He just put us into it. No, I was accidentally podcasting. We were for a second, but we're not now. Well, we want to start intentionally podcasting.
Chick McGee
That was accidental.
Jess Hooker
That was a false start. 3, 3, 2, 1.
Chick McGee
Every Wednesday, Junior Miller, George Dunham and.
Jeff Oskay
Gordon Keith drop a new episode of.
Jess Hooker
The Musers the podcast. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. That's Jess Hooker at the Silac Insurance news desk. There's Jeff Oskay. There's Josh Arnold. Hi, Ace. Com. Hey, we're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick. Hello, Tom.
Chick McGee
Time now to check today and yesterday in history. Oh, yeah, we.
Jess Hooker
Today and yesterday.
Chick McGee
We've got a lot going on here.
Jess Hooker
And history.
Chick McGee
Yesterday in history. A lot of. A lot of interesting stuff. The Rosetta Stone discovered in Egypt. You know what that's all about, Josh?
Jeff Oskay
Yes. Decoding the Dead Sea Scrolls where you learn new languages.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
They were. They were able to translate what, hieroglyphics or something.
Jeff Oskay
You are the Bible or something.
Chick McGee
Yeah, I've seen it. Forgot about it.
Jeff Oskay
I saw a part of it too, at the British Museum.
Chick McGee
The movie Die hard released in 1988 in the state and I.
Jess Hooker
Is it a Christmas movie or is it a Christmas movie? I can't understand.
Jeff Oskay
Chick is right. That argument can stop.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
You think so?
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, just enjoy. Enjoy it. If you like it as a Christmas movie, great. If you don't, great.
Chick McGee
Have you ever seen it, Hooker?
Tom Griswold
No.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, well, first you'd like it.
Chick McGee
Yeah, it's very good. Okay. Bruce Willis is great. It's Very funny. Yeah, there's a great revenge scene where a guy you're kind of hoping gets it. Gets it.
Jess Hooker
Hey, hey, hey.
Jeff Oskay
Just an awesome villain.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, it's a good Christmas movie.
Tom Griswold
I'll wait and watch.
Chick McGee
But if you go where shoes, wear shoes.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Chick McGee
Trust me on this.
Tom Griswold
All right.
Jeff Oskay
Good flick, man.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Twitter. We were mentioning it before. Launched in 2006. Technically gone, I guess. Honky Chateau.
Jeff Oskay
Is that Elton John?
Chick McGee
Elton John, 1972. Is that where you checked out?
Jess Hooker
No, I checked out about 25% through Caribou on out. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Okay. In 1983, the number one album in America was Huey Lewis. In the news, sports, and why not? I think it had five major hits.
Jess Hooker
I want a new drug.
Josh Arnold
That tape I wore, like, I. I like the words came off of it. I listened to it that much. Like off of the cassette. I loved it.
Chick McGee
Yeah, Huey's having some technical issues. He's got a health issue with his hearing, apparently.
Jeff Oskay
What a. What a distinctive, gray, fantastic voice.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Rembrandt. Born on this date in 1606.
Jess Hooker
And wasn't Rembrandt his first name? Like, Rem. Rembrandt O' Hara or something?
Jeff Oskay
Is that right?
Jess Hooker
Well, I think so.
Chick McGee
O'. Shaughnessy.
Jess Hooker
Of course, a lot of people don't know that.
Chick McGee
Rembrandt Van something.
Jess Hooker
What is o'? Shaughnessy?
Chick McGee
Of course. He's famous for creating the Ninja Turtles. Let's see now. Jesse Ventura, born in this date in 1951.
Jeff Oskay
Thank you. It's my birthday.
Jess Hooker
You know Tom. He was governor of Minnesota.
Jeff Oskay
I will celebrate with a large cake.
Chick McGee
Terrific actor, Terry o'. Quinn.
Jeff Oskay
He is terrific.
Chick McGee
The guy most. I guess, best known for Lost, sure. But Chicken.
Jeff Oskay
I really enjoy him in the Stepfather.
Jess Hooker
The Stepfather. Terry o'. Quinn. Watch that today. Carve out some time in.
Chick McGee
It's.
Jess Hooker
It's nuts.
Chick McGee
Toward the end of Loss. So good, the writers couldn't come up with anything. So Terry o' Quinn is carrying around his own casket.
Tom Griswold
Oh, okay.
Jeff Oskay
Remember what philosopher he was named after?
Chick McGee
John Lock.
Jeff Oskay
Yes, yes.
Jess Hooker
John Lock with an E, I think.
Chick McGee
Friend of the show. One of the nicest guys in music. Joe Satriani, born in 1956. Terrific guitar player.
Jess Hooker
You're going Satriani.
Jeff Oskay
Summer song.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Is that him? Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Satriani.
Chick McGee
All right. Now, today.
Jess Hooker
Is my mic on?
Chick McGee
We have the I don't know.
Jeff Oskay
I simply don't know.
Chick McGee
I. You say Satriani, who knows?
Jeff Oskay
Or Satriani with Robert Duvall.
Jess Hooker
The great Satri.
Chick McGee
I think it's Santini, but.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, Sorry.
Chick McGee
Orville redenbacher. State in 1907.
Jeff Oskay
Flight.
Jess Hooker
And his brother Wilbur.
Chick McGee
He's a Pop Ike icon.
Jess Hooker
There you go.
Jeff Oskay
He was in the army, right? He was a colonel.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah.
Jess Hooker
He was a colonel in the army. Popcorn Tom. Colonel.
Chick McGee
I get it.
Jeff Oskay
He only wants his own jokes, I guess.
Jess Hooker
No, no, that's a.
Chick McGee
That's an excellent joke.
Jess Hooker
You know, I can't remember. I'll. I'll bring it in tomorrow. I can't remember the name of the popcorn I bought. But it comes in packages with its own self contained seasoning and stuff. And you tear it open and you do it on a stove top. But I have one of those. Those Whirly pops.
Chick McGee
Those are great.
Jess Hooker
Where you spin the handle and it looks like a movie theater. Oh, it's. I still love Jiffy Popcorn.
Tom Griswold
Why?
Jeff Oskay
I've never had it in my life.
Chick McGee
Because of the show.
Tom Griswold
I haven't either.
Jess Hooker
I've.
Chick McGee
It looks like this aluminum dome.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah. I love the thought.
Chick McGee
It's a show.
Jess Hooker
You know what it is? It's dinner and a show.
Tom Griswold
You're right.
Chick McGee
It's a presentation.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, that might be the one flaw in screaming. When Drew Barrymore in the beginning is making popcorn. She's making Jiffy Pop. And there's a microwave right there.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
What do you. What teenager in 1996 or whatever.
Tom Griswold
That's true.
Jeff Oskay
Jiffy Pop.
Jess Hooker
Because it's the show.
Jeff Oskay
That was the idea. It's cinematic.
Jess Hooker
I have never had Jiffy Pop where I didn't burn it. And I don't know why I.
Chick McGee
Well, you're right. It's tricky.
Jess Hooker
It is very tricky.
Tom Griswold
Maybe I should do it. I love burn burnt popcorn.
Josh Arnold
You gotta keep shaking. You gotta keep it in motion. You can't just let it sit.
Jess Hooker
You know how to keep. You know how Polish people.
Chick McGee
No.
Jess Hooker
Here it goes. Make popcorn.
Josh Arnold
Oh, how do we make popcorn?
Chick McGee
Chick, you've got your resident pole right there.
Jess Hooker
You. You put the. Put the popcorn on the stove and then shake the stove.
Chick McGee
Well, there's hilarity. Hilarity ensues.
Jeff Oskay
I'm in.
Jess Hooker
Okay. Come on. Because they're stupid people.
Chick McGee
Happy birthday.
Jeff Oskay
A dumb lot.
Chick McGee
Brillian scientists, Great Artists.
Jess Hooker
Bowling.
Chick McGee
1943. Jimmy Johnson, obviously. 1943. That's the Jimmy Johnson with the helmet hair.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
You know, the NFL guy. Not the great race car driver.
Tom Griswold
Not sausage.
Jess Hooker
Jimmy Dean.
Tom Griswold
Oh, my bad.
Jeff Oskay
And Johnsonville.
Tom Griswold
You could see the confusion.
Chick McGee
These are all fair mistakes. 1952, Stuart Copeland, the terrific drummer for.
Jess Hooker
The police make a point of looking for Stuart Copeland videos. I A couple weeks ago it was. Stuart was going, here's how I piss Sting off. And he'd go. He would add drum parts while they were doing live shows. And he goes, if I got Sting to look back at me like two or three times, my evening was complete.
Chick McGee
He's a really interesting guy.
Jess Hooker
He's great.
Chick McGee
He grew up, what, like in Turkey or something? His father was some kind of ambassador.
Jess Hooker
And his brother was. That's where the IRS syndicate comes from. Sting.
Chick McGee
No, Stuart Copeland.
Jeff Oskay
Right, right. Sting Stewart. And who was the third cop?
Jess Hooker
Andy. Andy Dufresne. Oh, he's.
Chick McGee
The famous story about the guitar player is that when. When Jimi Hendrix moved to England. Wasn't his. Andy was living upstairs.
Jess Hooker
And Summers. Andy Summers.
Chick McGee
Andy Summers. In any event, did they get along? Who knows?
Jess Hooker
Because Andy Summers and Gordon Sumner.
Jeff Oskay
Ah, okay.
Chick McGee
But yeah, I saw the Sting Synchronicity tour. I was in like the front row. An incredible.
Jess Hooker
Crazy.
Chick McGee
Crazy. They're great together.
Josh Arnold
There's a band with Stuart and Primus.
Jeff Oskay
Les Claypool.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Called Oysterhead.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Trey. And it's phenomenal.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Great drumming, great guitar. That is great lyrics.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Stuart Copeland, if you get a chance, ever super interesting guy. Even off the topic of drums.
Jeff Oskay
Interesting.
Chick McGee
Michael Flatley. You know who that is? Hooker.
Tom Griswold
Lord of the Dance.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Man, that was huge. For like a year.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
It was everywhere.
Jess Hooker
I thought I saw that. I thought, this is going to be around forever.
Jeff Oskay
His legs flail about as a Independent from his body.
Jess Hooker
They do flail.
Chick McGee
That's because that way you don't drop your drink. That spits back.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Tom Griswold
There's a lot of. There's a lot of dance troops.
Chick McGee
I thought he was.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, there's dance troops.
Chick McGee
I thought he.
Tom Griswold
Girls join and they do they competitive.
Chick McGee
I gotta check. I think he's touring again.
Jeff Oskay
Irish fellow.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Chick McGee
Okay. Ms. Hooker.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Chick McGee
Here you go.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
This woman is famous for one of the great scenes in cinema. Her name is Phoebe Cates. What scene? In my reference.
Tom Griswold
Oh, the red bikini scene seen in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Tom Griswold
There we go.
Jeff Oskay
Very good.
Chick McGee
Oh, yes, yes.
Jeff Oskay
Well, I wouldn't have been. I wouldn't have remembered red.
Jess Hooker
Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
Because of the.
Jess Hooker
Really?
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
Thinking about what's under it.
Chick McGee
You know she's married to.
Tom Griswold
I do. She's married to Kevin Klein.
Chick McGee
Very good.
Tom Griswold
I think that there was not.
Jess Hooker
Who is not.
Tom Griswold
Who's not French. I thought he was French forever after I saw French Kiss. I didn't know.
Chick McGee
Happy birthday, Will Ferrell. The very funny guys from Little Will.
Jess Hooker
Ferrell goes A long.
Chick McGee
Oh, he's great.
Jess Hooker
Hey, let's go, streaky. Get the part to shut up.
Chick McGee
Okay, now, events in history today. John Adams graduated from Harvard College, majored in American history, which was pretty easy then because it was three months old.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Four week course.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Who's the first president I knew? George. Yeah, he's out in the car.
Chick McGee
Oh, here's the date everyone's going to hate.
Jeff Oskay
Well, Georgie, you're in the book.
Chick McGee
I would never have guessed this. What year, Mr. Oskay, do you think the first parking meter was installed?
Josh Arnold
Oh, 1952.
Jess Hooker
Oh, that's a great.
Jeff Oskay
I'm gonna say like something crazy early, like 1915.
Chick McGee
1935 in Oklahoma City.
Jess Hooker
I swear I was gonna go 36.
Chick McGee
Whoa.
Jess Hooker
Yep. Wow.
Chick McGee
There's something about that. I. I don't know what it is. Just parking meters anger me.
Jeff Oskay
I'm like, yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
But I. I have. But I have that app.
Jess Hooker
Well, that's the thing that if you got the app, you're. I can't see you running any app, to be honest.
Chick McGee
Yeah, that one's very confusing.
Tom Griswold
Like that.
Chick McGee
That app. Really. They need to re. They need to redesign that.
Tom Griswold
I. I'll take the ticket.
Jess Hooker
It's fine.
Chick McGee
It's not.
Jess Hooker
We did the show somewhere and they had the.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah, I know.
Jess Hooker
The app across the street.
Jeff Oskay
I know, right?
Jess Hooker
And I got in fine. You got to pay attention.
Chick McGee
I have to use it all the time and it never knows what I.
Jess Hooker
Was worried about me.
Chick McGee
Well, no one cares about you. That's why you're alone.
Jess Hooker
Hurtful.
Tom Griswold
Yikes.
Jeff Oskay
Just the. The addendum alone.
Chick McGee
Finally, something that'll make Chick happy. This is a.
Jess Hooker
It was the first perfect. That's why you're alone, Chick. Can we mark that for later? Oh, my. Yes, sir.
Chick McGee
1945, World War III. July 16, 1945.
Jess Hooker
The sun rose twice that day, my friends. Trinity exploded.
Chick McGee
Yes, sir. Which bomb was it? Was it the plutonium or the.
Jess Hooker
I want to say uranium went first and then plutonium. Is that right?
Chick McGee
I think. Think when. With respect to the ones that were dropped, I think you're correct. But I'm pretty sure I want to say.
Jess Hooker
No. Fat man and little boy were.
Chick McGee
I think they detonated the plutonium.
Jess Hooker
Hiroshima. And.
Chick McGee
And that was the one that was done. That eventually that type would go over. Not.
Jess Hooker
You know, they made a guy. They put it at the top of a tower like 50ft in the air, and they. There was a thunderstorms in the area and they made a guy set up in the tower with the bomb all night.
Jeff Oskay
Amazing.
Chick McGee
Amazing.
Jess Hooker
I don't know what he was gonna do if lightning hit the tower.
Jeff Oskay
Right.
Jess Hooker
Other than wild looking, too, because there.
Jeff Oskay
Are areas that it looks like it has like a strip of duct tape over it.
Jess Hooker
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
If you've seen Oppenheimer, that's relatively accurate.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Bad pun. I didn't mean to.
Jess Hooker
You know the big problem.
Chick McGee
I'm sorry.
Jess Hooker
That was the big problem with the bomb was they didn't know if it was going to stop.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Or.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Chain reaction started.
Chick McGee
Don't they have. That's not line in the movie. Or he goes, it's possible that the air is going to just ignite, light.
Jeff Oskay
The atmosphere on fire.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Right. And then they had underwater tests that they thought, well, first of all, we want to tell everyone that the bomb will not blow a hole in the bottom of the ocean and all the water will run out. Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
And how'd you like to be the guy that went, hey, you know, if we. If we detonate these like a mile above.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Jeff Oskay
We'll kill way more people.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, good job. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Much more efficient.
Jeff Oskay
Helpful note.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Is it.
Chick McGee
That's in the movie. I can't remember. I read the book, so I can forget. Wasn't that in the movie?
Jeff Oskay
It's definitely in the book.
Jess Hooker
I'm gonna have to.
Jeff Oskay
I don't remember if they mentioned in the movie.
Chick McGee
I'm. I don't remember.
Jess Hooker
You know, it took Oppenheimer like 12 hours to look at the formula and go, this is gonna make a hell of a bomb. Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. That was like where they first went.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
When they realized they could split the atom.
Chick McGee
Amazing, obscure Oppenheimer trivia. He loved throwing cocktail park parties and he loved getting his guests hammered.
Tom Griswold
That's odd.
Jess Hooker
And he loved blowies. Isn't that interesting?
Jeff Oskay
He did love. He was an actor.
Chick McGee
He was an expert sailor and an.
Jeff Oskay
Expert horseman and his brother both.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
The Fat man bomb was the one that. Yeah, that's the Nagasaki bomb. That was on the 16th. They did the test.
Jess Hooker
Right. August. July 16th, they did the. And August. They dropped.
Chick McGee
No, we're almost done. This has been too long. I apologize. Catcher in the rye, published in 19. 1951.
Jeff Oskay
Now, I stand by that being a masterpiece. Where are you on that?
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, okay. Somebody I was talking to, you said they hated it.
Jess Hooker
Oh.
Jeff Oskay
And I get. I get kind of disliking holding coffee.
Chick McGee
Think about the fact that it was 1951 and you read that and it's. It's got everything. Even contemporary teenagers.
Jeff Oskay
Exactly. Yeah, it's crazy.
Chick McGee
The sequel was terrible. The Catcher and the Sourdough. I thought that was push leagued.
Jeff Oskay
It was.
Jess Hooker
By the way, did very well in San Francisco.
Chick McGee
You don't want. You don't want to watch that. That documentary, by the way, about him.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, I haven't.
Chick McGee
You don't. It's not. You don't want to see that. Lastly, great news. Some huge music. The Eagles release Hotel California. What year, Chick McGee?
Jess Hooker
76 or 76.
Chick McGee
76 is correct.
Jeff Oskay
What year did you check out?
Chick McGee
Well, you can never.
Jess Hooker
I mean you can. You can check out anytime you want, but you can't leave.
Jeff Oskay
Oh yeah, that's right.
Chick McGee
Did I hear that the Eagles are coming back to the spot?
Jess Hooker
I hope so.
Chick McGee
I went to Vegas to see that. It was great. I may go. Maybe we should all go and watch.
Tom Griswold
We should all go.
Jess Hooker
I want to. I want to sit by you during the Eagles concert and talk.
Chick McGee
No.
Jess Hooker
Hey, look, it's Don Henley. Look, it's Don Henley. Look, it's Don Henley. He's playing the drums and singing.
Chick McGee
May I repeat. And that's why you're alone.
Jess Hooker
Evidently I didn't act hurt enough the first time through.
Chick McGee
We don't have time to talk about don't stop believing a great deal song. We don't have time to talk about Amazon opening for business in 1995.
Jeff Oskay
Primary all books 100% all books with.
Jess Hooker
A banner in the original office Bezos.
Chick McGee
Before he became the Lex Luthor of contemporary culture. I'm gonna get married so everybody can see how rich I am. Oh, that's nice. Act like you've been there before.
Jess Hooker
Where did. Where did he get that wife with the weird lips and the whole.
Jeff Oskay
And the hole.
Jess Hooker
And the hole.
Chick McGee
You see Amazon deliver that truck a viola Niagara. Okay.
Jess Hooker

Jeff Oskay
Ready? All right.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
One of the things that happened on this date, 12 new moons were discovered orbiting Jupiter. 1212 new ones.
Jeff Oskay
I can name all 12.
Chick McGee
Can you name any of them?
Jeff Oskay
Yes. Salil Moon Fry.
Chick McGee
A pop culture reference didn't get the laugh it deserved.
Jeff Oskay
Well, maybe it did. It was.
Chick McGee
I think. I think Hooker tends to laugh when things flop.
Jeff Oskay
Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I enjoy when you guys fail.
Chick McGee
Now, Ms. Hooker, this is your opportunity. As you can see Clearly, I have $25 in American funds right here. Ready?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Can you name any of the moons of Jupiter?
Tom Griswold
I'm going to go with John Johnson.
Jess Hooker
What?
Tom Griswold
No.
Jess Hooker
Johnny. Johnny Johnson.
Jeff Oskay
I'm going to.
Tom Griswold
Not the names.
Jeff Oskay
Europa.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
Europa is one of the most.
Tom Griswold
Is it really?
Chick McGee
Yeah, that's probably the most famous one.
Jeff Oskay
I get the 25 bucks.
Chick McGee
No, I. It was for Ms. Hooker.
Jess Hooker
Oh, I see. Okay.
Chick McGee
I'll tell you what, Josh. I'll give the 25 if you can name another one of the famous ones. I don't have them all in front of me, but.
Jeff Oskay
Modelo, you know, if.
Chick McGee
There isn't one, it should be Mr. Oskay Schlitz.
Josh Arnold
I have no idea.
Chick McGee
Ganymede. How about this one? Callisto. Oh, that sounds like a rapper.
Jess Hooker
Callisto.
Tom Griswold
Something from Lord of the Rings.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
This contends. This particular article says there are 95 confirmed moons on Jupiter.
Tom Griswold
Wow, that's too many.
Jess Hooker
How did we get with come to three? What? What?
Jeff Oskay
I know there are drops of Jupiter in the air.
Chick McGee
Oh, nice. Very good. Okay, we obviously take a break. Coming up, it'll be Sexy Time with.
Jess Hooker
Ali Breen, which will start in about an hour.
Chick McGee
We're In New York, O'Reilly Auto Part Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Jess Hooker
You don't have to laugh that hard.
Tom Griswold
Oh, sorry.
Jess Hooker
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. That's Jess Hooker at the Silac Insurance news desk. There's Jeff Osk. Hello, Josh Arnold.
Jeff Oskay
I. I have a question about the history of the show.
Jess Hooker
All right, we're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios.
Tom Griswold
You didn't take the class.
Jess Hooker
Ace Cosby I'm check. Hello, Tom. How are you?
Jeff Oskay
Tom, could you remember a time when there was a. You had a guest in who was so offensive smelling and not cologne or perfume, but, like, body odor that you did in a kind way have them leave early.
Jess Hooker
We've never asked anyone to leave early.
Tom Griswold
Because of body odor.
Jeff Oskay
You've asked me to leave early for including can't. Because this. They were just so smell. So smell.
Jess Hooker
There's another list. I could show you that there's people to leave. Now.
Chick McGee
There were a couple of people who had severe bo.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, it was bad.
Chick McGee
I mean, because they hadn't gone to bed and. Yeah, they'd been out or smelled like booze.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, yeah, A couple of those since I've been here. But that doesn't bother me as much.
Chick McGee
As just the severe.
Tom Griswold
Yesterday's guest, our friend Joe. He remember when we took the picture, he was like, hey, guys, I probably smell like booze. And Christy goes, you do.
Jeff Oskay
That's right. I did not notice it, though. But yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
He had stayed out partying.
Chick McGee
That was Joe Dombrowski.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
He's great, by the way. Real quick. He's going to be on stage tonight. Springfield, Missouri, the Blue Room Comedy Club tonight and tomorrow.
Jess Hooker
Oh, people could go somewhere, see him.
Chick McGee
And then Friday and Saturday, the funny bone in St. Louis. Terrific comedian.
Jess Hooker
And I don't know if this was my brain doing this to me or he did. He was offensive smelling. But the guy. And don't say his name.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Guy who showed up in the flip flops and would not stop thanking us in a condo.
Jeff Oskay
Okay. Yeah, I. I had heard. Was Ron Jeremy smelly.
Jess Hooker
Ron Jeremy was.
Tom Griswold
He was smelly.
Jess Hooker
Incredibly cheap.
Tom Griswold
He was always smelly, though, because I was. I was at a contest backstage where he was emceeing, and. And he put his arm around me or I said, hey, can I get a picture? And he was like, do you want to bend over? And I was like, nope, I just want to stand next to you. And when I stood next to him, it was. It was very body odor smell.
Jess Hooker
Gotcha.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah.
Jess Hooker
You remember what Ron Jeremy did when he was here, Tom?
Chick McGee
Yeah. And he's the. He's the porn star.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
He took bags of food to go.
Jess Hooker
Yep.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, I bet. Yeah. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
He took all the cake catering that morning.
Chick McGee
Literally.
Jess Hooker
Bags, bags and bags and water bottles.
Chick McGee
And he's. Isn't he in bad shape?
Jess Hooker
I think.
Chick McGee
Oh, okay. You see, I was gonna say and in trouble.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
Now, where we were talking. Oh, was it Robert Oppenheimer? And Oppie. Yeah, yeah. That was the big movie last summer. But I mean, it's a. The true story and. But it's. It is true. In the book especially he. He liked to get his guests drunk. I wonder if he would refer to that as getting them bombed. Probably not.
Tom Griswold
For what reason, though?
Jeff Oskay
He was a host and he just like. Yeah, yeah, he was always pouring drinks.
Chick McGee
But apparently he's one of those guys. Apparently one of those guys that would mix the member. He mixed them very carefully.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Oh, oh, okay. It was like an art form.
Chick McGee
You ever know that kind of guy that everything was. They. They have the shot glass and when.
Jess Hooker
You'Re working on something that can kill 70,000 people in six seconds, you probably. Hopefully.
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Jess Hooker
A sixth of a second. You probably are. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Now we're going to go back to the SILAC Insurance news desk. Just hooker sitting in for Christy Lee. That reminds me, Pat Godwin's not here either because he's on stage tonight. Sarasota, Florida, at McCurdy's. And he'll be there through Sunday.
Jess Hooker
Pat's not gone. But he is gone. But here. I am so horny. Pat is horny wherever he is right now.
Chick McGee
Of course.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
What do you got there, Jess?
Tom Griswold
Thousands of visitors gathered at the Cow Seow Zoo in Thailand.
Jess Hooker
Cow?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that's. That's what I'm going with. That's what the pronouncers.
Jeff Oskay
Isn't that what they yell in the Deer Hunter?
Jess Hooker
You son of a.
Tom Griswold
Okay, well, at the Thailand zoo, they are celebrating the first birthday of Mu Ding, the baby pygmy hippopotamus.
Jeff Oskay
Those are cute.
Tom Griswold
Who became a viral sensation in 2024.
Chick McGee
Did you see any of the footage over the weekend?
Jess Hooker
Real cute.
Jeff Oskay
No.
Tom Griswold
What?
Chick McGee
Yeah, this was all over the news.
Tom Griswold
I hate it.
Jeff Oskay
But I've seen them on like shirts or things.
Chick McGee
Kind of greasy looking baby.
Tom Griswold
Real gross.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, I think they're. You don't think they're cute?
Chick McGee
There he is.
Jess Hooker
Look at that.
Chick McGee
Looks. Looks like he's all Vaselined up.
Jeff Oskay
They're slippery.
Tom Griswold
Hate it.
Jess Hooker
Pygmy hippos. Just in general or the. The slimy look?
Tom Griswold
Just all of it, really.
Jess Hooker
You don't like it?
Chick McGee
I mean, he's adorable, but it bugs me because, you know, Josh exposes his dangling male member and people find that repulsive.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, I know. And you know, maybe I gave it a cute name like Moon Ding.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
You called it a pygmy.
Chick McGee
Oh, please. We've established the fact that it's huge.
Jess Hooker
Does it have four Legs like that, Josh.
Jeff Oskay
It is hooved.
Jess Hooker
Interesting.
Tom Griswold
The zoo launched a four day celebration in honor of Mu Ding, drawing guests from around the world. The festivities included special exhibitions and online auctions to raise funds supporting all animals at the facility.
Jess Hooker
Ah.
Tom Griswold
Mu Ding's name was selected through an online fan pole. It means bouncy pork and Thai.
Jeff Oskay
And this is in Thailand, right?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
In fact, that hippo may look female.
Jess Hooker
A lady hippo. A lady boy hippo.
Chick McGee
They named it after bouncy pork.
Tom Griswold
Bouncy pork is the name and it complements the names of her siblings. Moo tune, meaning stewed pork.
Jess Hooker
No, mouthun means turn that up.
Tom Griswold
And Moo Juan, meaning sweet pork.
Jeff Oskay
Ah, okay, so there you go.
Jess Hooker
So moo must mean pork.
Tom Griswold
Good job.
Chick McGee
So what is it? Mushu pork. Wouldn't that be.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Or moo googai pan. Is there pork in that?
Tom Griswold
That's one of my favorite ones.
Jess Hooker
But Moo Moo is what the sound of cow stomachs. They're not pork, are they?
Jeff Oskay
They aren't.
Chick McGee
You race. You raise a very good point.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Jeff Oskay
Okay.
Jess Hooker
That's like ribeye. Was this oink. Ribeye. Okay. Hello.
Tom Griswold
Oh, more stories. Okay. A new medical report details the case of a man in Spain who found a worm inside his penis following a trip to the beach.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, geez.
Tom Griswold
Warm penis.
Jess Hooker
Worm penis.
Tom Griswold
The 22 year old told physicians that he had been laying on a nearby beach with his bare skin touching the sand days earlier.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, no.
Tom Griswold
Who does that?
Jess Hooker
You know he was humping the sand. Yeah, he had to be. Do you guys think about that hump in the sand? Oh, no.
Tom Griswold
If you're at the beach, you dig a hole in one of.
Chick McGee
He was probably. I assume he was new sunbathing. I would think I think about it.
Jeff Oskay
I think I do think about it.
Tom Griswold
You do?
Jeff Oskay
Like, why did I just do that?
Jess Hooker
Really? Not if I should.
Jeff Oskay
That post completion. Shame.
Jess Hooker
You know, they say a man's never more truthful than right after an orgasm. Have you heard that, Tom?
Chick McGee
No.
Jeff Oskay
So he was naked.
Tom Griswold
You think he just said he was. His bare skin was touching the sand.
Jeff Oskay
Do we think the worm or do we know, crawled up the urethra? Or did it get into him and then it ended up in the penis?
Tom Griswold
Well, doctors diagnosed him with cutaneous larva migrants, a skin infection caused by hookworm larvae that burrowed beneath the skin.
Jeff Oskay
Okay, so.
Jess Hooker
And it ended up.
Chick McGee
But it gets worse.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, no, wait.
Chick McGee
How?
Tom Griswold
He was treated with anti worm medication. Writing in the BMJ Journal of sexually transmitted Infections.
Chick McGee
That's got to Be a fun read.
Tom Griswold
Wow. The case reports authors warn that travelers to tropical beaches need to take precautions to avoid these unfavorable incidents. The larvae come from hookworms which are found in the feces of animals like dogs, cats, and cats.
Jeff Oskay
That's one of the problems with grounding when you're supposed to walk barefoot around. You can get hookworms from any animal.
Chick McGee
But that's where most people get them.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
One dose of Ivermectin, you're good.
Tom Griswold
There you go. That's all you need.
Jess Hooker
What are you, a doctor?
Jeff Oskay
Kinda.
Jess Hooker
Ivermectin.
Tom Griswold
Just on the radio, you know.
Chick McGee
That's a. That's a Covid joke. Dust it off.
Jess Hooker
Oh, no, no.
Jeff Oskay
That's actually what they use for.
Jess Hooker
I was gonna say.
Chick McGee
Yeah, Covid reference.
Jess Hooker
I thought.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, no, there. There was. Some people did use it during COVID too. But the. It's a Nobel prize winning medication that has. But they literally been prescribed to millions of people.
Chick McGee
The vaccine deniers were big on Ivermectin.
Jess Hooker
Ivermectin. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
So doctors recommend that you have.
Jeff Oskay
And you can also have gotten the COVID vaccine and still used ivermectin 100%. Don't. Just so you think.
Chick McGee
You think sand in your ass is bad.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, no kidding. Try the dickworms.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
I said, what can I say besides dick worms? You just said it.
Josh Arnold
Can you imagine just looking down and you have something looking back up at you from your.
Jeff Oskay
Dude.
Jess Hooker
That's one of my favorite stories Josh ever tells. Remember the parasitic.
Jeff Oskay
My friend Juan, who was the international sales like president for Rawling Sporting Goods when I worked there, would have to go to Mexico all the time. And he was Mexican or is. And he came back one time and he felt a tickle in the back of his throat and he was like, what is this? And he took a flashlight and he looked in the mirror and he saw something with eyes looking back at him. And so he went to the hospital and they pulled out one of the longest tapeworms that that hospital had ever seen because they brought in students and other doctors to look at. Had grown so big that it was coming out of his mouth.
Chick McGee
I know the heebie tv.
Tom Griswold
I'm scared to death.
Chick McGee
What was that from?
Jeff Oskay
Something he ate or drank, but his.
Josh Arnold
Body probably looked great.
Jeff Oskay
I was gonna say he must have been losing weight. He had to have been.
Jess Hooker
I lost 12 pounds.
Josh Arnold
I could eat anything.
Jess Hooker
I was want. Awful. Remember that there was some diet medication that. The rumor was that it was half tapeworms or something.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah. You swallow tapeworm?
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, boy.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
There are better ways to go.
Jeff Oskay
Yo, don't.
Tom Griswold
Can you buy tapeworms?
Jeff Oskay
Oh, probably.
Jess Hooker
I would imagine at the pet store.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Next to the Ivermectin.
Jeff Oskay
Yes, yes. If you're gonna buy them, go ahead and get the Ivermectin now.
Chick McGee
You'll find it next to the Ivermectin.
Jess Hooker
You think there's somebody sexually stimulated by having a worm in their penis?
Chick McGee
Oh, 100%.
Tom Griswold
100%. You could look up a story right now about a guy having a worm in his penis.
Jeff Oskay
I think if I had a penis worm I would try to do like those Middle Eastern snake charmers and just and see if it would come out.
Jess Hooker
Playing right to you.
Chick McGee
Take out your horn. It's the only way I can get this thing tumescent. This is his favorite song. Think. Thank you very much. Coming up it's going to be sexy time with Ali Breen. Chick McGee
Dr. Evely, your thoughts on a shaved scrotum?
Jess Hooker
There's nothing like a shaved scrotum. I assume the softest the field. Your lover will thank you.
Chick McGee
Thank you very much.
Jess Hooker
You're welcome.
Tom Griswold
Are you. Are any of you guys completely bald down there?
Jess Hooker
As I said a couple days ago, I like to keep a nice house, but I don't. Right down to the hardwoods.
Jeff Oskay
Grow them? Typically, yeah. The rest very close to the hardwood.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Jess Hooker
No kidding.
Tom Griswold
Is it all dry shave or do you.
Jeff Oskay
The close to the hardwood is. I use a man's landscape tool.
Chick McGee
Didn't you at one point you had the Brazilian. What do you call it? The front, back, what was it?
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, they called it the baboon at the Naked Monkey. Yes.
Chick McGee
And you. And you had them wax everything.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Huh.
Jess Hooker
You know those shavers, those trimmers.
Jeff Oskay
Not wax the sack, though.
Jess Hooker
Those trimmers that you trim your beard with and everything, Boy, it won't cut your face. You have to really work to get it. But it'll cut. Cut a scrotum.
Jeff Oskay
Right.
Tom Griswold
Delicate skin down.
Jeff Oskay
But. And this isn't a. An ad or anything, but the manscape, that brand will not nick. I have never been nicked with that.
Tom Griswold
And you do it yourself.
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Chick McGee
You have like a mirror set up on the floor.
Tom Griswold
I thought you were gonna say spotter.
Jeff Oskay
And then for the sack, I have a Lady Schick that has like the. The little bar of lotion that gets like a Venus. Yeah, I have a Venus.
Tom Griswold
Thank you. You're welcome.
Jeff Oskay
For your penis.
Tom Griswold
Penis. For your penis.
Jeff Oskay
Because I was like, oh, if women are using that, it might.
Tom Griswold
It's probably safe. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Is this the one shaped like a moon? The round.
Jeff Oskay
No, no, no, it's not. It's just like. It looks like a typical disposable razor, but it's got a pink band of, like, soap or lotion or whatever.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That, like, instead of shaving cream.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, I use that on the sack.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Jeff Oskay
A lot of detail in the shower. I use. Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
Do you have a guard for your. For the other closely.
Chick McGee
The electric thing? Is there like a there?
Jeff Oskay
I can use the guard if I don't want to go that low. And I can go without the guard.
Chick McGee
And I feel if you're Feeling bold. Yeah, it's like, it's like riding your bike without your helmet.
Jeff Oskay
Summer.
Tom Griswold
That's what I was going to ask you. So do you use the guard in the winter and then you don't in the summer?
Jeff Oskay
I kind of do, yeah.
Tom Griswold
See, I think girls do that too.
Jess Hooker
I found if I do go down to the hardwood, the testicles stick to my leg. Have you ever had that?
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, yeah, sure. But I had that when I never.
Chick McGee
Yours, yours, yours or the guy in.
Jess Hooker
Bed with his stick to your testicles. My forehead is what happens there. But no that be upside down. Yeah, maybe it is my forehead now that I think about it.
Josh Arnold
So do you do an in between for like your fall balls or do you.
Tom Griswold
I like that.
Chick McGee
Do you call it when, when it's growing up, do you call it the Don Johnson.
Jess Hooker
He's the one who started the, the three day Beard. The, the shadow. The shadow look, I guess or whatever.
Chick McGee
Now it's been perfected by the guy who's suing. What's her name? What's that guy's name?
Jess Hooker
Blake Lively.
Chick McGee
Yeah, the Blake Live. That guy's never without a three day beard growth. He must have a special razor that just cuts the stubble.
Tom Griswold
That's fine with me. But the neck thing I don't like, like at least trim up your neck if you're gonna do the three day beard.
Jess Hooker
I worked with a guy who didn't have any. He, he had hair all the way down his neck into his chest.
Tom Griswold
Oh, it all connected.
Jess Hooker
It would blend into his chest hair.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, wow.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. He never made the choice either of shaving and having a beard. He just let it go. It was really odd.
Jeff Oskay
Well, how's my neck? Cuz I don't necessarily.
Tom Griswold
No, you look good. Okay, but your beard is full. If you had the three day beard and then it went down into your neck, it looks like you just haven't shaved.
Jeff Oskay
I got you.
Tom Griswold
You know what I mean?
Jess Hooker
If you have.
Tom Griswold
Have a. But if you. You're good, Jeff. Everybody looks good in here.
Chick McGee
Okay, now let's move forward. Here we have. That's the voice of Jess Hooker sitting in for Christy Lee at the Silac insurance news desk. What else is happening?
Tom Griswold
The earth is expected to spin more quickly in the coming weeks. Will we feel it making this. Some of making some days shorter than usual.
Jeff Oskay
This we're going to stick to the walls.
Tom Griswold
What is that? What's that?
Chick McGee
The rotor.
Tom Griswold
I love that rotor.
Chick McGee
I thought it was the round ride.
Jeff Oskay
It was called. You know what it was called in Six Flags St. Louis, Tom's Twister.
Chick McGee
Oh, this is the one where you. You. You get in this round room and it starts to spin and then the floor drops.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. And then you vomit and you spin around and. Hit you in the face.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Yeah, I did.
Jeff Oskay
I loved it as a kid.
Chick McGee
I've done it once in my life.
Tom Griswold
I don't know if I could do it today.
Jeff Oskay
Serious. I'd be. It would ruin my week.
Jess Hooker
Is there some sort of. Is there a doctor doctor can explain to me why I can't ride roller coasters or spin around anymore?
Jeff Oskay
Yes. As you age, the. The inner ear.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Jeff Oskay
The. The fluid in there thickens and changes, and so you are more susceptible to getting.
Tom Griswold
Huh.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
I'll be damned.
Tom Griswold
I like Josh, the radio doc over here.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. None of what I said is true.
Chick McGee
Now, how much. How much vermectin do have you take when that.
Tom Griswold
Oh, goodness.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, Ivermectin. Yeah, I take. Well, I take more than prescribed.
Jess Hooker
I see. Because. Suppository or.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
If one dose does well, then three doses.
Jeff Oskay
I'm on my third mug of ivermectin this morning.
Jess Hooker
Good. Good morning.
Jeff Oskay
I'll never. I can't even look at worms. If I. If I look at a worm, it explodes.
Chick McGee
So I want. I want to get back to the shaving thing.
Tom Griswold
Do you.
Jess Hooker
Do you.
Chick McGee
How many different tools do you.
Jess Hooker
You have.
Chick McGee
You got a. You got a special razor. You got two different kinds of electric things.
Jess Hooker
Have you ever had the.
Jeff Oskay
No.
Jess Hooker
For the long handle on the razor that you shave your back with?
Jeff Oskay
I looked into it.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
And I don't. I don't have a ton of back hair.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Jeff Oskay
But there was enough where I went, oh, I. You know, and I read reviews. Some of them were very positive, but many reviews said it cut me to ribbons.
Jess Hooker
Really.
Jeff Oskay
So I. I passed.
Chick McGee
I see.
Jeff Oskay
But it really does look like what, like almost a long spatula. And the spatula part is a razor.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Jeff Oskay
And you just. Oh, slide it up.
Jess Hooker
It looks like the classic black and white guy in the movie. Guy in the shower washing. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
This is where you need a friend to do it for.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Have you ever asked one of your lady friends to do a little work back there?
Jeff Oskay
I don't know if I have, you.
Jess Hooker
Know, one of your.
Jeff Oskay
I. Because again, I don't have a ton of. I have less back hair than you would assume looking at me when you.
Chick McGee
And then you. But you went to a professional place to have the trimming done down below. Right.
Jess Hooker
Well, I think that Was more.
Jeff Oskay
Not the trimming, the waxing. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
I thought you asked him to do it for the radio show.
Chick McGee
Did I really?
Jeff Oskay
Yes, but then I started actually. They actually contacted me and they're like, you know, you still have like 400 worth of credit.
Jess Hooker
Oh. Oh.
Jeff Oskay
So I. I'm going to go back.
Jess Hooker
I'm thinking of shaving the chest.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, yeah.
Jess Hooker
Maybe that will make me un. Alone.
Jeff Oskay
My brother does that, doesn't. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
How's it look?
Jeff Oskay
Thumbs up from everybody.
Jess Hooker
No kidding?
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
All right.
Tom Griswold
But doesn't it itch when it comes back?
Jeff Oskay
I asked him that and he said, no, not really.
Tom Griswold
Well, you get used to it, probably. Yeah. All right.
Jess Hooker
So, you know, grass don't grow on a racetrack. That's why I shave my chest. Yes.
Chick McGee
Oh, I see.
Jess Hooker
You know, spend some time. I see. You know, shave and hair to know my nipples.
Chick McGee
Tuna.
Jeff Oskay
You ever trimmed your armpit hair?
Jess Hooker
No, I have not.
Jeff Oskay
It's not bad.
Tom Griswold
No, never.
Jess Hooker
No kidding.
Chick McGee
You take it all the way down?
Jeff Oskay
No, no. You want to leave? I still leave a good. At least half an inch H. At. At least I like to have enough.
Chick McGee
To braid, so I need about three.
Jess Hooker
What about you?
Tom Griswold
You do a lot of housekeeping for a guy? Yeah, seems like it. Right. And just because you like.
Jeff Oskay
For a straight guy first. Straight guy, I mean. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
So is it like one day a week or three days a week or.
Jeff Oskay
No, it's less. It's less. Yeah. Eyebrows are maybe once every two weeks. Knows.
Chick McGee
Is that also with an electric device?
Jeff Oskay
Yep. Yeah, I have two of the same device and Chick has them. You have the micro touch?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah, the micro touch. Yeah. I just ordered with the light on it, you know.
Chick McGee
Oh, the nose hair thing.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah.
Jeff Oskay
So I have one for my nose and then I have one for my eyebrows because I don't. Well, it's obvious.
Chick McGee
Here's the nose thing.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. And I look, it's got a flashlight on it. I cut my nostril with that. You got to be careful.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Jeffy, how much. How many different items do you have to keep yourself trim and. And shaved?
Jeff Oskay
I don't. Well, let's ask you. Do you have to trim your ears and nose? Yeah. Okay.
Jess Hooker
You do.
Josh Arnold
I just have one razor. Like a straight. Not a straight razor, but like a normal disposable type deal.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
A man for your ear.
Josh Arnold
For like. Yeah, I do everything with a razor. I don't.
Jeff Oskay
Interesting.
Jess Hooker
So do you lift your beard up and shave underneath it and so your.
Jeff Oskay
Ear hair is more on, like the outer ear area?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I guess. I don't know. I.
Jeff Oskay
Okay. I'll get you a micro touch. She'll like it.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. All right.
Jeff Oskay
Okay. And your girlfriend will love it.
Jess Hooker
Perfect.
Jeff Oskay
Because you'll be.
Chick McGee
Is she really hairy?
Jeff Oskay
No, no.
Josh Arnold
I'm saying she'll love the fact I'm nuts.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Jeff won't have.
Chick McGee
I completely misunderstood.
Jeff Oskay
When she goes to bury her tongue in Jeff's ear, she won't be. It won't be like she's licking a brill open.
Chick McGee
Thank you for going. Thank you for going with ear.
Jess Hooker
And by the way, yes, she is very hairy.
Chick McGee
Okay. Okay. Ali Breen, Coming up with sex at time. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.

Hi.
Jess Hooker
There's Jessica Alsman.
Jeff Oskay
Hello.
Jess Hooker
We've beaten it out of Jess already this morning, Tom. Well done. There's Jeff Oskay.
Josh Arnold
Yes, sir.
Jess Hooker
Hello. Josh Arnold.
Jeff Oskay
Hello there.
Jess Hooker
We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. Think O'Reilly Auto Parts. For all your car care needs. Get the parts and service you need fast from the professional parts People at O'Reilly Auto Parts. ACEs here. I'm Chick. Hello.
Chick McGee
Tom, you're mentioning the. What is it? The Earth is spinning faster, slower.
Jeff Oskay
What's happening?
Tom Griswold
The Earth is expected to spin more quickly in the coming weeks, making some days shorter than usual this summer, according to LIVE Science, Earth's rotation has been slowing down over the past few billion years. We're getting fatter as the moon has gradually moved away from us is actually why.
Jess Hooker
Oh, I am done. I'm going to move away from you.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. But in recent years, there have been variation in Earth rotation that have altered the lengths of our day days on July 22nd and August 5th.
Jeff Oskay
I bet it's one of those things. It's like 0.001.
Jess Hooker
Wait a minute. July 22nd and one second.
Tom Griswold
Write it down. July 22nd and August 5th.
Jess Hooker
Okay.
Tom Griswold
The moon will be at its furthest distance from the Earth's equator and therefore closer to the poles, causing Earth's speed to spin and make those days shorter by a little over a millisecond.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Ace Cosby
Huge. It's a big deal.
Jess Hooker
Where did this story come from that. Well, it's science to a millisecond.
Chick McGee
I think those that are interested in things like science. Find this fascinating.
Jess Hooker
Do they have.
Chick McGee
You can use this as an excuse now.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, boss, I'm sorry. I forgot to set back my clock.
Chick McGee
Hey, look, sorry. You know, I arrived awfully quickly. I only have a limited amount of time.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, I see.
Jess Hooker
I. I came too fast. It never happened. I'm sorry.
Chick McGee
The lack of subtlety from. I think we're alone now. Man.
Jess Hooker
Are they going to have to. Thank you, Tom. Are they going to have to adjust the universal master clock for the millisecond?
Chick McGee
I think they do that once a year, don't they?
Jess Hooker
Do they?
Jeff Oskay
What about the universal master locks on all the lockers of the scientists?
Jess Hooker
Was there ever a more effective commercial campaign than master lock and shooting it, taking a.45 and shooting it and not being able to open the lock.
Chick McGee
Yeah, that was good.
Jeff Oskay
I remember even being a child and being skeptical of that.
Jess Hooker
Oh, really?
Jeff Oskay
I always wanted to see an episode of Fight Back with the master lock.
Jess Hooker
David Horowitz. Yes. Yeah. Heck, yeah.
Chick McGee
That was a great.
Jeff Oskay
I loved it.
Chick McGee
Well, so the next time you don't want to do the dishes, say, hey, sorry, honey, I ran out of time. The earth's rotation is a millisecond slower or faster, whichever it is.
Jess Hooker
I. My favorite time of year is when the sun sets at like 5:15, 5:18. Love it. Love the hell out of it. Oh. Like 19 hours of dark. I could live in the. Where is it? Alaska or wherever.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
What's the opposite?
Jess Hooker
Right. Midnight sun or the summer.
Chick McGee
The summer. It's daytime all day, right?
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Jess Hooker
And then at night.
Chick McGee
Scandinavia.
Jess Hooker
Night for. Oh, Scandahuvia.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, I'm in.
Chick McGee
Back to the Silac Insurance news desk.
Jess Hooker
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Residents of a Miami suburb helped rescue four people from a crashed airplane.
Jeff Oskay
My.
Jess Hooker
Whoa.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
See this video?
Tom Griswold
I didn't.
Chick McGee
The thing's on fire and.
Jess Hooker
What?
Chick McGee
Yeah, these people are some restaurant. They run out of the restaurant and.
Tom Griswold
Or I could read the story.
Chick McGee
Okay, go ahead. So many skeptics. I.
Tom Griswold
Authorities said a pilot and three passengers were approaching the North Perry airport in a Cessna 3307545 when an aircraft crashed into a tree in the Pines Village neighborhood.
Jess Hooker
Pines Village. It hit a tree.
Tom Griswold
Angelo. Angelo Castillo.
Jeff Oskay
That's a shame. They weren't going to. To Runway Valley.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, right. Or flat Table Vista. Yeah, as hell. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Why do they call it Tarmac Village?
Tom Griswold
Well, Angelo Castillo, mayor of Pembroke Pines, said nearby residents abandoned their dinners and grabbed their tools to save the plane's occupants.
Jeff Oskay
Abandoned their dinners.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
You okay, Josh?
Jess Hooker
Absolutely not.
Jeff Oskay
Horrible story.
Chick McGee
Unfortunately, there was a hair in my food. I was about to send it back.
Tom Griswold
When he added that a few garden hoses were used to put out the fire.
Chick McGee
They pulled the people out of the plane?
Tom Griswold
Yeah. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the crash.
Jeff Oskay
What a fire. It must have been.
Jess Hooker
They saved them.
Chick McGee
Oh, well, you see the video. They rescued these people. It's kind of great.
Jeff Oskay
No, that is great that nobody was hurt. Were they stuck up in the tree?
Tom Griswold
It doesn't say.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, so it hit the tree, but then it came to the ground.
Jess Hooker
Stuck up in a pine in Pines Village. Nothing.
Chick McGee
Zero.
Tom Griswold
That's cool.
Chick McGee
You're supposed to pay for the meal.
Jess Hooker
No, that's dine and dash.
Chick McGee
Do you think the restaurant picked up the tab?
Ace Cosby
Oh, they had to have.
Jeff Oskay
No way. No responsibility.
Ace Cosby
Reward these people for helping others in danger. They're heroes.
Chick McGee
If you. If you had been pulled out of the plane, would you have followed them back to maybe have it. Join them for a drink and pick up the tab?
Jeff Oskay
He's looking at me me, isn't he? Yeah, but he. He knew I wasn't looking at him, so he changed it to drink instead of.
Jess Hooker
Instead of a basket of fries or some lava cake. Tom, have you ever. I. I know you have reached a certain stature in life where you don't have to, but have you ever thought about or as maybe as a lark, dining and dashing with you and your college buddies?
Chick McGee
Of course not.
Jess Hooker
Of course not. No.
Chick McGee
I used to work in a race restaurant. Those people are working hard. I know what it's like.
Jeff Oskay
And then as soon. I always heard that. And Jeff, you had. Besides Tom, I know you also had a lot of restaurant experience. Jess, you have as well.
Ace Cosby
Four days I worked in a restaurant.
Tom Griswold
Terrible.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, okay.
Ace Cosby
God bless you people.
Jeff Oskay
I heard that the server is responsible for paying the tab, which that makes you not want.
Josh Arnold
Actually, it depends on what restaurant you're working at.
Jess Hooker
Some.
Josh Arnold
Some restaurants are like fault, but if you're out on your smoke 20th smoke break and your table takes off on you, you're covering that table.
Jeff Oskay
Gotcha. But I always thought that sounded terrible.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
Or person working.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Ace Cosby
$2 an hour plus tips.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
I don't see you working in her. I know you did, but I don't know.
Tom Griswold
You worked in a kitchen.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. What. What did you do with. You worked. I cooked.
Chick McGee
I was in a kitchen.
Tom Griswold
He wasn't forward facing.
Chick McGee
I. I did cook one night I had to be a waiter and I was. Oh my Lord, the world's worst way.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, I'd be bad at it.
Chick McGee
I would. People would be talking and I would say, that's not correct. I would, you know, change the conversation.
Tom Griswold
You guys. If you guys saw me serving, you wouldn't recognize me. Like, I'm so pleasant and so kind. Yeah, you guys.
Chick McGee
Oh, I was pleasant.
Tom Griswold
This is a completely different person.
Josh Arnold
You should come in one day and act like you're serving just so we know what it's like.
Tom Griswold
No, you guys don't deserve it.
Jess Hooker
Where'd you. Where'd you work at Pickleville or what was it?
Tom Griswold
What? Dill Street.
Jess Hooker
Dill Street.
Tom Griswold
I was a. I was a bartender there. That was a college bar.
Jeff Oskay
Did you work at a chain? Oldsman.
Ace Cosby
Oh, Texas Roadhouse.
Jess Hooker
I love Texas.
Ace Cosby
Yeah. My last day was a Sunday because it was the after church crowd. That was the worst and literally made me cry. It was awful.
Josh Arnold
That's what made me quit being a server. Was the after church Sunday crowd running up a $700 tab and leaving zero.
Chick McGee
Really?
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Well, they like a nice little brochure on how to be saved.
Jeff Oskay
I bet I could pick out of a lineup. Well, the worst part is non tipping after church crowd 1.
Josh Arnold
You have to. The thing is, we still had to tip out. Yeah, the bartender and the cook.
Jeff Oskay
Everybody else on tips you didn't get. Yes.
Josh Arnold
So I went to work and lost $45 for working four hours.
Jeff Oskay
That's a ridiculous said, Josh.
Jess Hooker
Does that make me a bad person? Because I know I do.
Chick McGee
Probably depends on which religion. Also.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, that's true.
Chick McGee
Maybe you should try to work at a restaurant near, you know, the more generous. Apparently I would buy.
Tom Griswold
Brunch crowd. The brunch crowd sucks. Regardless. Regardless.
Chick McGee
My religion. I wonder if we could find out which religion tips the most.
Jess Hooker
The most. I would say Catholics tip the most.
Chick McGee
You think?
Jess Hooker
Followed by guilt.
Jeff Oskay
That they have that guilt and so they.
Jess Hooker
Followed by Mormon, followed by Jewish.
Tom Griswold
Do Mormons eat out? Oh, sorry.
Jess Hooker
No. They're not allowed to eat out.
Chick McGee
Apparently that's all they do.
Jess Hooker
Just don't. Just don't give me a Pepsi. That's all I know.
Chick McGee
Why is this restaurant called Back Doors? Funny story.
Jess Hooker
I like the smearing on Back Door. He loves it.
Chick McGee
Now we have a lot coming up, including sexy time with Ally Breen. This is going to be a good episode. We've got the two ladies in the house and Ally.
Jess Hooker
We are almost. Well, no two women equal six guys, so we're outnumbered.
Chick McGee
Tom, it's going to be good. Right now, the Bob and Tom show, sponsored by Better Help. Maybe you got A little bit of stress in your life. Could be romance, could be your family, could be work stress. A lot of pressure out there these days, a lot of confusion. This is where therapy can be extraordinarily helpful. And BetterHelp is a newer way to access therapy because the therapy's done online. It's a great idea. And it's, this is really interesting to me that their App store rating is 4.9 out of 5 and that's based on nearly 2 million reviews. So it's pretty clear that BetterHelp is doing a lot of people a lot of good. What it's all about is, like I said, doing the therapy online line. You'll be lined up with a therapist based on a questionnaire that you fill out. They have a variety of therapists, some 30,000 of them with a diverse variety of, shall we say, areas of expertise. So what you do to get more information is you go to betterhelp.com BTShow and once again, adding that/BTShow will knock 10% off your first month. So perhaps it involves unwinding from work or finding out more about yourself, yourself with respect to your family or other aspects of life that might be troubling you. Therapy can be extraordinarily helpful. Like Jim Russell used to always say, let's, let's kick the stigma, get rid of the stigma. That's okay to, it's okay to talk to somebody. And that's what better Help is all about. Betterhelp.com btshow that's betterhelp. H E L P betterhelp.com BT show coming up, sexy time with Allie Breen. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Tom show.
Jess Hooker
You mean stupid and lonely.
Chick McGee
Stupid and alone Stupid. There's a difference there.
Jess Hooker
It certainly is. Hello. Welcome back to the Bob and Tom show in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Thank O'Reilly Auto Parts for all your car care needs. Get the parts and service you need fast from the professional parts people at O'Reilly Auto Parts. There's Jess Hooker.
Tom Griswold
Hello.
Jess Hooker
She's at the Silac Insurance News that desk. There's Jessica Alsman. Hello. Hello, Jeff Oskay. There's Josh Arnold. Ace is here. And I'm Chick and Hello, Tom. Do we have a special guest?
Chick McGee
We're going to talk with Ali Breen. I believe it's going to be on the phone today. I'm not sure. Ali, are you there?
Ali Breen
I'm here. I'm sorry I had to call in today. I'm in traffic.
Tom Griswold
I was hoping you were naked.
Ali Breen
Oh, naked in traffic would be something.
Chick McGee
Are you. Are you in. Are you in Florida?
Jess Hooker
Florida?
Ali Breen
No, I'm actually in New York, but I have a show in Long Beach. Long island with Colin Quinn tonight. And I was driving out early to try to go surfing and I. There was an accident, so I've been stuck in traffic for a while now, but I didn't make it in time to do the video setup.
Ace Cosby
Ally, you are so cool. On her way to go surf. No big deal. Then do a comedy show.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
You mean were you planning on surfing in the beautiful Hudson River?
Ali Breen
No, no, no. No ocean in Long Island. The Hudson would be. I'd be sick for about three weeks.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, dysentery, all sorts.
Chick McGee
The way the show works, Ally reads letters from folks having love troubles. We try to help them fix them. What have we got? Can you read and drive at the same time?
Jeff Oskay
She said she pulled over.
Ali Breen
No, I'm pulled over. I. I promise you I can do that. I can read while I'm pulled over.
Jess Hooker
You know, Tom, women be driving. You know that.
Ali Breen
I'm just reading letters, putting on makeup and eating some pizza. Dear Allie, my wife got a job recently after staying home with the kids for years.
Jeff Oskay
Unacceptable.
Ali Breen
Now has a work husband too. I thought it was cute. It seemed to make her. It seemed to make her day. But they had a pizza party at work recently and we're joking that the next party should be their work wedding.
Jess Hooker
Whoa.
Ali Breen
She's laughing, saying it just an excuse for them to have another party. But I think this is actually getting disrespectful. What do you guys think?
Chick McGee
Lighten up, Francis.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Yes, the quotes.
Ace Cosby
I've never heard of anyone joke about having the work wedding.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that's new to me, which is.
Jeff Oskay
Why I think Tom might be right on this. Don't worry about this too much.
Chick McGee
It's a pizza party, right?
Tom Griswold
Or have tell your wife to keep it to herself. Like, don't.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, she's sharing with you. If she was cheating, she wouldn't tell you about it.
Tom Griswold
Probably.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
No, exactly.
Jess Hooker
There is such a thing as lying by omission. Am I right on that?
Jeff Oskay
But that's the thing. There doesn't seem to be much omission.
Jess Hooker
No, if you're. You ladies are saying if she wasn't, don't tell her. Don't tell them about your work wife or your work wedding or your work sex. And just tell her about the pizza party. And you know what I mean by pizza party? A Pizza that sweet. Sweet.
Chick McGee
Oh, I'm going down a, a pie.
Jess Hooker
That's it.
Chick McGee
I, I, I wouldn't worry. It sounds pretty innocuous to me.
Jeff Oskay
Yes, it does.
Chick McGee
Sounds like she's getting a little more out of life right now by working and meeting some people. Sounds good. I wouldn't worry about it.
Ace Cosby
If she starts dressing slutty for work, then maybe. Yeah, pay attention.
Ali Breen
If she starts talking about. Yeah, her having a work baby with her.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Coming home and showering all.
Jeff Oskay
Don't worry about it. It's my work baby. We had work sex and then we had a work baby.
Jess Hooker
That's right. Shut up.
Chick McGee
Okay, let's get to our next letter. Ally Breen, you can reach Ali A L L, I, B R, E E N on your favorite social media platform. What else you got?
Ali Breen
Dear Ally, my girlfriend eats in bed while I'm away. Yeah, she does crumbs in the bed. And she seems totally fine with just laying in a pile of crumbs. First of all, why won't she clean up after herself? And second of all, why are we being forced to sleep in a pile of crumbs since it doesn't bother her? Do see this as a red flag.
Jess Hooker
As Josh would say. She's a filthy bitch. My God. Clean up after yourself.
Jeff Oskay
Good Lord.
Chick McGee
See, I don't, I don't approve of eating in bed ever.
Ace Cosby
Especially anything that's, like, dusty or crumbly.
Chick McGee
That can like eating anything in bed. Get up. Get off your ass now.
Jeff Oskay
Time for bed. Where's my box of pecan Sandies?
Ace Cosby
Oh, man. Donnie came to bed once with, like, toast, but he made cinnamon toast where you just have butter and then just put a whole bunch of cinnamon sugar on top of it. And it was the worst thing ever because it literally just like, falls off the bread. So that's where you just need to take the bed sheets and kind of, like, flick it to get the crumbs and her off of it.
Chick McGee
Maybe get it in your crack.
Tom Griswold
Do you guys have the, the bed sweepers? The, the little handheld bed sweepers for the bed.
Jess Hooker
Specifically.
Tom Griswold
Specifically for the bed.
Chick McGee
Is it an electric vacuum?
Tom Griswold
Yeah. So it looks like a Dustbuster, like the things that we used to have when we your kids. But it then it has like a, it has like, a vacuum head that's probably maybe 10, 12 inches. And you just run it across your bed every day before you make it.
Jess Hooker
And it's called a bed sweeper.
Tom Griswold
That's what I call it.
Jeff Oskay
All right, so maybe get one of those, sir.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Bed sweeper.
Chick McGee
Now, the thing about this, eating crackers in bed, there's a famous old adage.
Jeff Oskay
Sure, yeah.
Chick McGee
Are you familiar? You know what it is?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ali Breen
I wouldn't throw her out of bed for eating crackers.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Depending it's based on her hotness. You know, I wouldn't kick her out of bed if she were.
Tom Griswold
So you're asking, how hot is your girlfriend, sir?
Chick McGee
Exactly.
Jess Hooker
Apparently.
Jeff Oskay
Apparently not that hot. This is really bothering you.
Ace Cosby
It's just so uncomfortable, though.
Tom Griswold
It is. I can't. I can't imagine.
Jeff Oskay
No, it sucks.
Tom Griswold
No, it's horrible.
Chick McGee
Although, if. Yeah, Well, I can't say that I was gonna make a Girl Scout cookie reference, but I won't.
Tom Griswold
No, keep it over 18.
Chick McGee
Thank you. Well, I was, but I meant.
Jeff Oskay
Never mind.
Josh Arnold
There's nothing worse than waking up with a bunch of, like, Cheez it. Dust in your chest hair.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Do you eat in bed?
Jess Hooker
No. They do make.
Josh Arnold
God, I'm not an animal.
Jess Hooker
They make bed sweepers by Jimmy.
Tom Griswold
I told you.
Jess Hooker
The Jimmy Bed Sweeper 259.
Ali Breen
That's amazing.
Jess Hooker
Wow. Promax graphite mattress. Vacuum cleaner with dust sensor.
Chick McGee
Is this supposed to be getting dust mites? Is that what it's for?
Tom Griswold
It's a. Yeah. Yeah. There's different ones that might be for a mattress. There's. Have less suction so they don't suck your sheets up into it. And so it just gets.
Jeff Oskay
I don't want anything in my bed with less suction.
Jess Hooker
You need more suction.
Jeff Oskay
I want my eyes to cave in.
Ace Cosby
This woman just needs to eat on top of the covers. I don't know why she can't. And then just shake the COVID off.
Chick McGee
She needs to eat at a dining room table.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, yeah. You could just eat on top of the covers, then shake the COVID Cover off. And then in three weeks, write us about how the mice are.
Jess Hooker
Tom, if you. On the rare occasion you have room service, you don't eat in bed, you eat at the table.
Chick McGee
I hate room service. I had it last week when I was on the air from my hotel room with you guys. No, I.
Josh Arnold
From your studio. Just set it there. By my studio?
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Jess Hooker
Hello, Balthazar.
Chick McGee
I had a little studio set up. It was fun.
Tom Griswold
I. I know you had fun. I glad you had fun.
Chick McGee
No, I don't like. I. When I'm at a nice hotel, I like to go down to the nice restaurants, maybe have a coffee shop.
Tom Griswold
I'm starting to lean that way.
Chick McGee
Fresh air. I don't want to be cooped. I like People who go on vacation, they spend all the time in the room. Why?
Ace Cosby
I avoid people.
Chick McGee
No, I want to go out. In any event, let's get on to our next letter. Ali Breed is our guest. Ally, you're doing comedy with Colin Quinn. Where are you going to be tonight?
Ali Breen
At Borelli is in long beach at 7 o' clock tonight.
Chick McGee
Oh, cool. That'll be a great.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
And then Allie probably is.
Ali Breen
I think it's sold out.
Chick McGee
But is Allie aware of the fact that she's gonna. She's gonna be joining us on stage in Louisville coming up this fall?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, Ali and I worked it all out last week. She's on the schedule.
Ali Breen
Exactly.
Ace Cosby
I'm so excited to see you in person.
Ali Breen
Yes. It's been forever. It's gonna be so much fun. I'm psyched.
Chick McGee
And you're gonna be doing the morning show with us live in Louisville, right?
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Ali Breen
Yep. That sounds great.
Chick McGee
Okay, cool. Now let's get back. Get back to our list letters. What do we got?
Ali Breen
Dear Allie, I've been dating a guy for almost a year now, and he's come to my family events, but I've never gone to his. I was in his apartment alone after he went to work the other day and started. Decided to go through a few things.
Jess Hooker
Not a girl.
Ali Breen
And in his closet at the very bottom, under a bunch of documents, I found a bunch of framed pictures he had hidden of his family and him and another girl. So I think I just found out I'm his side chick. How do I go about trying to bring this up?
Jeff Oskay
Oh, my God. Why do you jump to. You're the side chick.
Tom Griswold
There's no time stamp on those photos, right?
Jeff Oskay
As a guy, first off, these. I've done this. These photos are not hidden. He moved. There was a box with old photos and his family is in them. Yes, there may be another girl, but he just kept them.
Chick McGee
Isn't there a new AI Thing? I didn't see a commercial where you can eliminate people from your pictures.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I can do that right now.
Jeff Oskay
But there are.
Ali Breen
I was going to say Photoshop has been around for a while.
Jeff Oskay
This box is not. Not hidden. This box is neglected. It's just an old.
Chick McGee
But at the same time, though, he's never taken her to his family.
Jeff Oskay
You know, here's why. Because.
Chick McGee
Because they're gonna go. They're gonna go, where's your wife, Dolores?
Jess Hooker
You sound like you have an intimate knowledge of the subject, Josh.
Jeff Oskay
I kind of do. I had all the love letters that caused a breakup and I. I didn't.
Josh Arnold
Even know that the old love letters.
Jeff Oskay
Were in this drawer that I had for years.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
And she said, if you're keeping these, it must be because you wanted them so badly. And I said, I didn't even remember they were in there.
Tom Griswold
What a horrible fight.
Jeff Oskay
It was so stupid.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
So anyway, did she.
Chick McGee
Did she read them or did she throw them away?
Jeff Oskay
No, she did end up reading them. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Were they to you or from you to me? And she got mad at you about it? Oh, because you kept them.
Jeff Oskay
Yes, but I didn't keep them per se. I just forgot that they were.
Chick McGee
Your Honor, I. I'm sor. I'm on the jury. Guilty, guilty, guilty.
Jess Hooker
Josh is guilty.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, I mean, that's fine. That's what she thought, but I.
Chick McGee
You kept them?
Jeff Oskay
I didn't even know they were there.
Jess Hooker
How did they get in the drawer then, if you didn't know they were?
Jeff Oskay
When I, you know, because when I received them, I didn't even like the chick that much when I received them.
Tom Griswold
Which one?
Jeff Oskay
I went, oh, I better keep these, because she's the type of girl that will go, where are the letters I gave you? And so I just threw them in a drawer. And. And then years later.
Jess Hooker
Honestly. Honestly, years later.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
More than two years later.
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Chick McGee
And you didn't like her that much, but you, she. You kept her on for a couple.
Jeff Oskay
Because I didn't want to hear about it when she said, so where's that one letter I gave you? I knew she was that type.
Ace Cosby
It's right at the back of the drawer. You never even saw it.
Jeff Oskay
Exactly. But anyway, this guy. The reason that she's gone to her family is because she has insisted he go meet her family. The reason that she hasn't met his family is because he doesn't care.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Only I don't agree.
Jeff Oskay
Most guys don't care if you meet their family.
Chick McGee
This guy's got.
Ace Cosby
This guy's got a girlfriend or his family just sucks.
Chick McGee
How can you tell? Can you tell by looking at the photographs? How old is the. Is this a contemporary photograph of this guy?
Jeff Oskay
You're entertaining this woman's delusions.
Ali Breen
Well, this other.
Jess Hooker
Not only am I entertaining, I'm bringing them in and giving them a cup of coffee. You're damn right I. I am.
Chick McGee
Okay, well, let's move on. You're joining us right now. We are in the O'Reilly Audio Auto Parts studios. This is the Bob and Tom program, and we have Ali Breen, comedian, on the line with us. She's somewhere on Long island. About to go surfing, but she's in her car reading your letters. What have we got, Allie?
Ali Breen
Dear Ally, my girlfriend gets a massage once a week by the same person and I just found out that it's a very hot guy. I only found this out because I heard her recommending him to one of her friends.
Jeff Oskay
She's banging him. Kill yourself.
Ali Breen
How hot he is.
Jess Hooker
Easy.
Ali Breen
I haven't said anything yet, but if the tables were turned, I would be in big trouble. What do I do about this?
Ace Cosby
Isn't there a chance he's gay?
Jeff Oskay
Who? The masseuse?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Ace Cosby
And that's why he's so high. Cuz he takes care of himself.
Jess Hooker
If you were legit, if you were a male and a masseuse, wouldn't you call yourself Bruce the masseuse?
Jeff Oskay
Yes.
Ali Breen
Yeah, that's pretty good.
Jess Hooker
Maybe not.
Ace Cosby
Well, he should just book a massage. With this guy?
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Ace Cosby
See what happens.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, he's not. Well, maybe he will be. Yeah.
Chick McGee
You don't know what they say. One session with Bruce the masseuse. If you go that way, you switch teams.
Tom Griswold
You wouldn't get a massage from a guy as a straight man. That's the reason.
Jeff Oskay
If it were like a. I don't think I would. No, I prefer not to. You guys know me. I don't like to get haircuts from guys.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I didn't know that.
Jeff Oskay
I don't.
Tom Griswold
How about you, Jeffy?
Josh Arnold
I've had one from. I've had them from a guy before.
Tom Griswold
And you're fine.
Josh Arnold
I actually like it better because men are stronger.
Tom Griswold
Oh yeah.
Josh Arnold
And like I want a deep tissue massage and they are way stronger than you women.
Jeff Oskay
But aren't the erections awkward?
Josh Arnold
Well, his ones that kept hitting me in the forehead.
Jess Hooker
But didn't you feel like he was trying to tell you something?
Ace Cosby
I've never even had a massage from a guy. It's always been from a woman.
Tom Griswold
I. I had it from a guy. And. And he. And at one point he leaned down and whispered in my ear and he was like, I'm gonna need you to relax. And I was like, I have a big giant man rubbing my naked body. I'm not gonna be able to relax.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Ali Breen
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I can't do it.
Chick McGee
And he whispered it to you whispered that? That's. That's not right.
Ace Cosby
To keep the ambiance.
Chick McGee
No. That's creepy.
Jess Hooker
Needs you. This is.
Chick McGee
This is going to feel a lot like sodomy. We have time for one more letter from comedian Ally Breen. Tonight on stage with Colin Quinn. Allie, what do you got?
Ali Breen
Dear Ally, I'm in a long distance relationship, but I'm always the one traveling out to see him and he very rarely comes to see me. It's starting to feel like I'm making more of an effort than he is and I'm more into the relationship. But I don't want to sound crazy. Is that fair or crazy that I ask him to come see me as much as I see him?
Chick McGee
I think it depends on the nature of what he does for a living.
Ali Breen
Or where you live. If where you live compared to where.
Jeff Oskay
He lives, he may be unaware of the fact that you would like him to come see you more.
Chick McGee
Maybe he lives in some really cool place and you live in some incredibly boring place.
Jess Hooker
Josh brings up a good point in that women already think we're men are just. We don't think and we don't really consider anyone else's feelings. And that's entirely correct.
Jeff Oskay
Right, exactly.
Jess Hooker
And if you don't remind us about once a day, this will continue to happen.
Jeff Oskay
And yes, that's unfair and stupid, sure, but.
Tom Griswold
But if you're plain speaking with them and you say the issue, usually it's resolved fairly quickly.
Jeff Oskay
Right? Right. But we are women. You're right. We are as dumb as you think we are.
Ace Cosby
And we, we can't communicate to you and say this is how we feel without a guy kind of being like, you're being crazy. Where do they even come from?
Jeff Oskay
This writer really brings up a good point. And I know I do this, but it's mostly for comedic effect, if I'm being honest. When she doesn't want to be called, well, you're just overreacting and being crazy.
Ace Cosby
And there's nothing that's going to set you off more than being called crazy.
Chick McGee
But then again, I always find the phrase calm down always works.
Jess Hooker
Will you calm down?
Chick McGee
That's everything.
Jess Hooker
Time gets them right back on track.
Chick McGee
Yeah, Allie, we'll look forward. We got many episodes of your show coming up, but at some point you're going to be live in the. Live in Louisville with us. We don't. We can't give out too many details yet, but it's going to be a fun time. And it'll be a Thursday morning in the fall.
Jess Hooker
Louisville, Kentucky. Right. The Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Chick McGee
The Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Jess Hooker
That's.
Chick McGee
That is. And then that is it. With a special Evening show featuring Mr. Godwin and Mr. OSU, I think Willie G. And Ally. It'll be great.
Jeff Oskay
I'll be there too. Oh, you're going I mean I'm.
Tom Griswold
Josh will be there yet.
Jeff Oskay
I was. I was the first ask.
Chick McGee
Oh, I might be there.
Jess Hooker
I'll be parking the cars.
Chick McGee
Okay. Very good. Thanks Ally.
Ali Breen
Thanks guys.
Chick McGee
Surf's up. Hope you have a good.
Ali Breen
Thank you. I'll tell you how it goes.
Jess Hooker
Don't drown. Yeah.
Jeff Oskay
I have two words for you.
Ali Breen
Ah, don't do that.
Jess Hooker

Chick McGee
And trouble to look up tipping as it relates to religious affiliation.
Jeff Oskay
Is it actually a thing?
Chick McGee
There's a limited amount of research, but the results are interesting.
Jess Hooker
Huh. Is there like a top ten or top five?
Chick McGee
It's kind of a sort of a three sphere of three different answers. Okay, we'll try to come back with that. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Jess Hooker
Want to share something? Send us an email. Bob and Tom. Bob and Tom.com this is the Bob and Tom show.
Chick McGee
In just a few minutes.
Jess Hooker
Hello. Welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. There's Jess Hooker. Hi. Jessica Alman.
Tom Griswold
Hello.
Jess Hooker
Jeff Osk. Yep, Josh Arnold's here. There's Ace. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick. And there's. There's Tom.
Jeff Oskay
Nobody is better at making paper airplanes on the planet. Chick McGee.
Jess Hooker
Right here, ladies and gentlemen. Right here.
Jeff Oskay
They fly perfectly.
Jess Hooker
Boom.
Chick McGee
This looks like the SST. This is very.
Jeff Oskay
You can throw them 20 plus plus times and they maintain their integrity.
Jess Hooker
They certainly are structurally sound.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Ace Cosby
Straight flight plans. Every time they get thrown.
Jeff Oskay
They're fantastic.
Chick McGee
Now let's get back to the issue at hand.
Jess Hooker
I just hit Tom and the teat.
Chick McGee
Three of us, I guess no, four of us have worked in restaurants.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah, I've only worked, like, food, fast food type stuff.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Chick McGee
I guess that counts that for most of us.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. I was a celebrity waiter at one point.
Jeff Oskay
How about that?
Josh Arnold
What does that entail?
Jess Hooker
Well, you're waiting, but you're a celebrity.
Josh Arnold
But you actually take the order.
Jess Hooker
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I made a table. I made salad at a table.
Tom Griswold
Was this the hibachi thing?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wow.
Josh Arnold
You did tableside service?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah, I made. What was it? A Caesar salad? Fresh Caesar salad, sure.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, yeah. You made people. People angry.
Tom Griswold
He doesn't have to be a waiter to do that.
Jess Hooker
Were you there?
Chick McGee
They. They. The people are going, couldn't we get one of the real celebrities?
Jess Hooker
That's right.
Chick McGee
Mike Ahern was here. Why don't we get him?
Jeff Oskay
We wanted.
Jess Hooker
We wanted Jonathan, you know, Ahern was there and what everybody wanted.
Chick McGee
We wanted Peyton, Manny. We got Chick, Mickey.
Tom Griswold
Who the hell is he?
Chick McGee
It was brought up that two of you, Mr. And Ms. Altman, quit based on having a rough Sunday brunch with a religious crowd. That didn't tip.
Jeff Oskay
Yep.
Tom Griswold
I don't know.
Ace Cosby
They didn't tip. But they were also just really mean for no reason. Just trying my best.
Chick McGee
I was kind of wondering if anybody ever taken the time and trouble to break down tips based on various religions.
Jess Hooker
I. I have high expectations for this poll.
Chick McGee
Well, it. It actually, he says that there's not a lot of hard data. However, there are some general studies and surveys, including one by Cornell University. A survey of 1600 adults found that those of the Jewish faith and those with no religious affiliation tipped more.
Jeff Oskay
Huh. Okay.
Chick McGee
Christians tipped less on average. In fact, in one data point, it says Christian Christians tended to tip about 17% less for good service. Compared to those.
Jeff Oskay
Pretty big margin.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Compared to those of the Jewish faith or those who were identified themselves as being non religious.
Jeff Oskay
Because there are old jokes that would make you think the opposite.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Chick McGee
Yeah. There are all kinds of. But this is probably a pretty sensitive area, so.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
It says there's little to no public death.
Jess Hooker
Why is it a sensitive area?
Jeff Oskay
Well, because.
Chick McGee
Because you're stereotyping.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Because if Muslims don't tip, you're just happy that they didn't blow the restaurant.
Chick McGee
Thanks.
Jeff Oskay
So, I mean, that's the kind of insensitive thing that we could be worried about, you see?
Jess Hooker
Right.
Jeff Oskay
Somebody saying.
Jess Hooker
Exactly.
Chick McGee
But we're not going to say that.
Jeff Oskay
Right.
Chick McGee
Okay. Yeah, it's talk to. Talk to servers. No, they. They'll. They'll say. Tell you. They.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I showed Tom on the break. The worst is they would have these. They're called tracks, and it would look like a $50 bill they left you. And you're like, oh, I got tipped to 50. And then you would open it up and say, have you been saved? And it wasn't a 50. It was a fake $50 bill they had left you.
Jess Hooker
Boy.
Jeff Oskay
I mean, there's. Why not leave a $10 bill and maybe a nice or an actual 50 piece of scripture? Yeah, yeah. Right, right.
Tom Griswold
But the true racks aren't meant to be left at restaurants. They're supposed to be left in places that make people bend over and grab them. They're not forward.
Jeff Oskay
Oh, I see. I see.
Tom Griswold
You're supposed to leave them like that.
Josh Arnold
Didn't even dawn on me on the ground.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah. Those people are using them sort of cruelly.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
Ace Cosby
Hiding behind religion to be buttheads to be cheap.
Chick McGee
Well, now it's time to check in one more time with Ms. Hooker over there. She is at the Silac Insurance Newslet. We got time for one more interesting story. You got one?
Tom Griswold
Interesting. A pair of teenagers are in custody after they allegedly robbed the same Maryland liquor store three days in a row.
Jess Hooker
Hey, look.
Chick McGee
That's interesting.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Where. Where are they going to think we're going to hit another liquor store? Right. Let's go back to the same one.
Tom Griswold
Montgomery county police said that the suspects first entered the Jest Beer and wine store, threatened an employee with an implied weapon, and took an undetermined amount of money from the register.
Jess Hooker
I may or may not have a gun in this pocket.
Tom Griswold
The boys returned the following evening and fled with more money.
Jess Hooker
You know the deal. Let's go.
Tom Griswold
The next day, an officer spotted two teens matching the suspect's description inside the same store.
Jeff Oskay
What's the holdup? We went over this yesterday when they.
Tom Griswold
Tried to steal money from the cash register. Again, officers entered the store and arrested them.
Jess Hooker
Wow.
Chick McGee
I mean, first of all, you gotta look at the bright side of this. It's nice to see that you've got some teenagers that aren't just sitting indoors all day.
Jeff Oskay
Online, they're off their screens.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, they're. They're outside.
Chick McGee
They're having some fun.
Ace Cosby
I appreciate the confidence.
Jeff Oskay
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Now the fact that they're under 21, I'm surprised they didn't ask someone out front. Hey, mister, can you go rob this place for us? We can't go in there. We're not.
Tom Griswold
They don't ask you for your ID until you get to the register.
Jess Hooker
So.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
How stupid do you have to be?
Ace Cosby
I think it's an inside job, don't you think?
Chick McGee
No, I think again, I'll give you.
Ace Cosby
The money and then, you know, you split.
Jeff Oskay
It would have worked potentially if it was an inside job.
Chick McGee
Okay. Well, thank you very much.
Jeff Oskay
That's funny.
