Bob Kevoian
It's the bob and tom show. Hi, my name's Bob, and there was a time I thought I was going
Tom Griswold
to be an astronaut. I remember the teacher bringing the TV set into the classroom. We'd watch the Mercury missions blasting off into space. I knew the astronauts wore cool space suits, drove corvettes, and they all enjoyed
Bob Kevoian
a powdered drink called Tang.
Tom Griswold
I love Tang, but it's hard to get. It puts me in orbit so tasty
Bob Kevoian
and wet I look for Tang all over town. So sweet when it's going down. Tang so tasty and juicy it takes me to the moon.
Tom Griswold
You scoop it with a spoon.
Christy Lee
Spoon Tang.
Bob Kevoian
I love Tang any time of the day. I know two girls who feel the same way. I'm gonna meet up with them soon. We're gonna have an afternoon. Tang so tasty and juicy it takes me to the.
Tom Griswold
You scoop it with a spoon.
Bob Kevoian
Ten spoon tank.
Tom Griswold
You know, I thought about outer space a lot better. And I guess, like a lot of guys, I had an imaginary astronaut friend.
Bob Kevoian
His name was Tom.
Tom Griswold
Hi, Bob.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, hi, Tom. And you know, we'd take a lot
Tom Griswold
of trips together to outer space, way beyond the moon, to an imaginary planet we called Poon.
Bob Kevoian
Tang so tasty and juicy it takes me to the moon and the moon planet. That's right. It would have been more popular had it been called something different. Am I correct on that?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, we. We had to erase the punchline from that one.
Bob Kevoian
That's what I thought. Hello from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios.
Tom Griswold
Who are these guys?
Bob Kevoian
It's. I have. I don't recognize half the people in here.
Josh Arnold
It's the.
Bob Kevoian
Bob and Tom. There's Christy Lee, I believe.
Christy Lee
Hi.
Tom Griswold
Love the bangs. They're just the right length. Don't see him cutting him today.
Bob Kevoian
Let me cut them. I'll get over there and cut him. Can't hear you. There's Pat Godwin. Hey, Chick. There's Josh Arnold. Hi there. Ace Cosby. I'm Chick. Hello, Tom. Hello.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that's a. That's a classic song that has a much funnier ending on the album version.
Josh Arnold
Oh, it.
Bob Kevoian
To yourself to do that.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. But is that we. I'll have to make sure that that's floating around the. The various Bob social media sites. I think we can actually post it there without having to worry about it. I'll work on that. Because today. Today is in fact. What is it again? National Moon Day. Moon day.
Bob Kevoian
Apollo. Apollo 11. July 20, 1969. The sun sat twice that day.
Tom Griswold
That's the atomic bomb.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, that's right. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You're right. That was last week. You're right.
Tom Griswold
Shouldn't it be National Moon Night?
Christy Lee
Yeah, well.
Bob Kevoian
Well, as Tom told me last week when we were talking about the atomic bomb, it was 5:35, 29, 45am Mountain Time. And of course they were keeping clocks in the mountain time. That's what it said there. So I wonder what time it was when they landed on the moon.
Josh Arnold
Maybe it'll be one of those days where you can see the moon all day.
Tom Griswold
I thought it was. It was in the evening.
Bob Kevoian
I want to say it was prime time. I think it was prime time.
Christy Lee
We were all watching it on tv in the movie.
Josh Arnold
They're all watching it at night.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, but it's hard to tell that movie, it's so awful. It's just.
Tom Griswold
What the hell's wrong with you?
Stephen Singer
It's great.
Bob Kevoian
That's an unpopular opinion of mine, isn't it? I'm sorry. Yeah. I'll keep it to myself.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Well, so we'll have a little bit of moon, a couple of more moon tributes.
Bob Kevoian
You ever moon anybody, Tom? Ever think about shoving your ass out there into the world?
Tom Griswold
Oh, sure, of course.
Bob Kevoian
Have you ever done it, hey moon somebody?
Tom Griswold
Absolutely.
Bob Kevoian
You have not. I need to know when and where.
Tom Griswold
Recently. I mean, I.
Bob Kevoian
Well, you, you. Ivies there on Manhattan.
Tom Griswold
I don't recall ever doing it in the city of New York. Bob famously enjoyed mooning us when he would get. We'd get the annual flu shots.
Bob Kevoian
Sure. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And.
Bob Kevoian
Oh yeah, that's some sweet ass, mister.
Tom Griswold
And Bob insisted he liked it. He would insist on getting it. I gotta. Don't say he insisted on getting in the butt.
Bob Kevoian
I said he liked it butt cheek.
Tom Griswold
And I like it in the butt.
Bob Kevoian
That's accurate.
Tom Griswold
But nobody liked getting his flu shot in the butt, butt cheek. You can't just say in general, yeah, Bob likes it in the butt. I'm guessing I'll start getting mail from
Bob Kevoian
his family as Josh has held a lantern up and showed us the way. It's just gathering him nerves back there.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, yeah. I don't know what you're all afraid of
Tom Griswold
again. I'm afraid of enjoying it. I, I was, I was talking about National Moon Day. No, we were talking about getting a flu shot.
Bob Kevoian
No, we're talking about what time the moon landing.
Christy Lee
And the moon landing was around 6 o'.
Stephen Singer
Clock.
Christy Lee
And his first step.
Tom Griswold
Well, Eastern time.
Christy Lee
Eastern time, Eastern time. And his first steps were around 10:56pm in Culver City.
Tom Griswold
So it was dark in the. On in the eastern time zone. Probably the central.
Bob Kevoian
And yes, what about the movie set where it was filmed? What time was it? Kubrick starts at 6am that's what I thought.
Tom Griswold
If only Buzz Aldrin, who's 6am call 90 something could walk and punch you in the face. The great Buzz Aldrin still alive, of course.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. Clinging to. Clinging to life.
Tom Griswold
And by the way, we. Speaking of Buzz Aldrin and folks that are in great shape at that age, Shatner is in the news today. Wait till you hear this story. Yeah, this is really interesting.
Christy Lee
I think age is just a number.
Bob Kevoian
That is an amazing work of a hairdo he's got going on on his head.
Josh Arnold
It gets better.
Bob Kevoian
I don't know what it is, but the tube men don't get thicker hair as they get older. It just doesn't happen.
Tom Griswold
We've got a great toupee.
Bob Kevoian
It's amazing. Yeah, it really looks. You owe yourself. Don't cheat yourself. Give yourself a treat. Check that out.
Tom Griswold
All right, now what I was going to say was there's a famous photograph of Bob getting his flu shot in the. In the. On the bottom, if you will. And that was the origin of Corny the Ferret. There was a sort of a hair valley that was visible and we named him Corny.
Bob Kevoian
Well, he is Armenian.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. So there you go. Now, coming up, we do have some more information about the moon. Of course we have your letters and some exciting things going on in the world of news.
Bob Kevoian
I think they released new, brand new pictures of the planets and the brand new picture. A full color picture of the moon. The best pictures we've ever had. Did you see that?
Tom Griswold
And there's a new telescope floating around out there.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, it's by Mattel.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, Hasbro's broke.
Bob Kevoian
Hasbro's no good. No. Yeah, yeah. Remember, didn't you want a telescope when you were a kid?
Tom Griswold
No, I didn't had binoculars. I didn't really need a telescope.
Christy Lee
You can't see the moon from binoculars.
Tom Griswold
When you'd be. If you ever. Whenever you ever lived in a lake.
Bob Kevoian
No.
Tom Griswold
When you live in. When you lived on a creek where I came from.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
No, you know what? It just gets easier and easier to get them out there alone and walking around. Yeah, go ahead, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Everybody who lives in a lake has a pair of binoculars.
Bob Kevoian
Sure they do.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Why, why do you have a pair of binoculars? Because I know where you live and I don't think there's a lake over there.
Tom Griswold
I don't I don't have a pair anymore.
Josh Arnold
In fact, the loan won't be approved unless you can prove you have binoculars.
Bob Kevoian
That's exactly right.
Tom Griswold
But say you live in a lake. Hey, what's that? You get Binoco out. Take a look.
Bob Kevoian
I went in one time with binoculars. I was looking on the wrong end. They go but alone. Denied. Oh, right there.
Josh Arnold
Right, right. I knew you weren't a lake person.
Bob Kevoian
I wasn't a lake guy.
Tom Griswold
You have a telescope, don't you, Josh?
Josh Arnold
I do have a telescope.
Bob Kevoian
Is it a good one? Can you. Because I said they really on.
Tom Griswold
Can you see Jessica from her window?
Bob Kevoian
You can see.
Josh Arnold
You've not blow this for me.
Bob Kevoian
You can see Saturn from your backyard a couple of weeks ago or something with the telescope. Yeah. And Uranus. Yes, Tom, your neighbor's Uranus.
Tom Griswold
So it's come full circle. Coming up, we do have a mooning news. We do have an unusual story about dancing and your mental health. Kind of a positive thing.
Bob Kevoian
Dance like no one's watching.
Josh Arnold
We have a. I should have sing like no one's listening.
Tom Griswold
We do have a wizinator in the news again.
Christy Lee
You think these guys would learn.
Bob Kevoian
Can we do that again and compare our speeds when the.
Tom Griswold
Well, there's two different.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, there's.
Tom Griswold
There's the. The police are referring to in this case a fake phallus that is designed to hold urine. Someone else's urine. To pass a drug test.
Stephen Singer
Sure.
Tom Griswold
They're referring to that as the wizinator. Ah, but isn't the. What was the thing we had that measured the velocity of the urine? That was something else. That wasn't the wisdom.
Christy Lee
Yeah, that was something different.
Bob Kevoian
I think the word meter was in there somewhere. Yeah, wisimeter.
Tom Griswold
But we had. We had that strapped to the side of one of the urinals in building. And it was kind of. It would. It would sort of give you your mph.
Bob Kevoian
Josh just did this at the medical facility.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. And then they showed me the chart, and it was tough. Rocky is the Rocky Mountains is what it looked like.
Tom Griswold
So you're going like pulse.
Josh Arnold
Something was. Yeah, my stream was going up and down. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And I assume it's probably a little more because the one we had was kind of colorful and plastic and had like a little minute, like a miniature. And little LEDs on a miniature wheel like you'd see in a river boat.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I know.
Tom Griswold
I assume the one you did at the doctor's office was a little more
Josh Arnold
sophisticated and not nearly as fun. It was just a hole. And then when it hit the bottom. It. It read it.
Tom Griswold
Did it or did it have that thing, like. Ever been in a neighborhood where they have that sign of how fast you're going? Yeah, they want you to slow down. Did it have, like, a readout on it?
Josh Arnold
Sadly, I couldn't see the readout while I was peeing. Maybe they don't want it to affect you.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah, they got to remodel that. They want you to have a little.
Christy Lee
Can you try harder?
Tom Griswold
Can you have a little fun?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Like a month from now, you go in to say to the nurse, all right, 17M.
Josh Arnold
That was one of those tests where they go show up with a very full bladder.
Bob Kevoian
Oh.
Josh Arnold
And then I showed up and they were like, okay, have a seat. Yeah, what do we.
Bob Kevoian
Well, that's just mean.
Josh Arnold
And then she was like, okay, we need to do an ultrasound for your bladder first to make sure you do have a very full bladder. I was like, I'll prove it right now.
Tom Griswold
Reminds me of the showed up drunk. Classic story for me. I used to go see Dr. Oldenburg.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
My family physician.
Bob Kevoian
Oldenburg. Same as the new.
Tom Griswold
And he was. He was old guy. He was a. No, no, he was always contemporary. Ironically contemporary of my dad.
Josh Arnold
He's a modern bird.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
But he. The interesting part of it was his office was in an older building. Do you say bird in downtown?
Stephen Singer
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Not a newer building.
Tom Griswold
No, no. You're getting away from any attempt to make a joke here. If you want to interrupt every word I say with, oh, here we go. In secular. That makes no sense.
Bob Kevoian
That. 17 laughs it was.
Tom Griswold
It was. It was an older building and somewhat confusing inside. And I was handed. I was handed the thing for the urine sample.
Stephen Singer
Right.
Tom Griswold
And they said, go in there and do it. Well, in there was just a sink and there wasn't a toilet. So as you say, I had come prepared to give them a sample.
Bob Kevoian
Everything you had, but.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but I had a lot.
Christy Lee
Did you fill the cup?
Tom Griswold
And I filled the cup. And then I'm going, well, now what do I do? So I put the cup down.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, you still had extra after you filled.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, of course. I couldn't just, you know, the hounds were released.
Bob Kevoian
It's hard. It's hard to hold that.
Tom Griswold
So I went over to the sink just to finish it off. And I mentioned it was a confusing building. That's when the lady who brought her kid that was going to be neck after me in the. For my exam flings the door open and I'm being in the sink.
Bob Kevoian
Hello, ma'. Am.
Tom Griswold
Thank you very Much. I'll be seeing Dr. Oldenburg in a few minutes. Yeah, so never send anyone for a urine sample unless there's a toilet handy. Yeah, yeah.
Christy Lee
And how they don't need the full cup, by the way.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I know. They always tell you that when it's. When it's overflowing, they get up the glove. All right, thank you. Same thing happened at the sperm bank, too, didn't it, Josh?
Josh Arnold
Oh, dude, they hate when you overfill
Tom Griswold
that thing, especially when it's a Stanley.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, but it does keep it warm.
Tom Griswold
That is really impressive. Your velocity may be low, but your volume is something to write home.
Josh Arnold
In fact, we have some doctors to
Bob Kevoian
call every now and then lately. Do you go to the bathroom, urinate, then all of a sudden, you know you have to go, and then you get there and it's like, okay, I'm just waiting for a bus now, I guess. I don't know. It takes a while. What's going on with that? It's just age. Is that what that is?
Tom Griswold
I don't know. Yeah, my thing is, I'll get up, go to the bathroom in the middle
Bob Kevoian
of the night, strong like bull.
Tom Griswold
Start walking back to the my bed, and then go, wait. Oh, wait a minute.
Bob Kevoian
I'm not done.
Josh Arnold
It's apparently an encore.
Bob Kevoian
Let's bring him back. Come on. Put your hands together.
Tom Griswold
Typically, give us an encore. I'll sit because I can sort of semi sleep. Okay, coming up, your letters. You can reach us, Bob and tomobandtom.com. we'd love to hear from you. We have robots in the news. We may have a surprise. Yeah, kind of. Hot dog involving Dr. Buckets, the very fine basketball player Holder, of course, holder of many world records, of course.
Bob Kevoian
I speak on behalf of everyone in this room. You're joking, right? No.
Tom Griswold
Oh, he's not going to be our guest. Oh, although I'd love to get him on the air.
Bob Kevoian
I thought we had him on the air again.
Stephen Singer
Why not?
Josh Arnold
Oh, no, no, no. We just said we had him.
Tom Griswold
See what he's up to right now. She's back. It's Christy Lee back from her vacation.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Once again, don't Cut the bang is the perfect length.
Christy Lee

Tom Griswold
Thanks very much, Christy Lee. Also coming up, we know it's National Moon Day. We have a really cool train surfing story.
Bob Kevoian
Man, is that dangerous.
Christy Lee
Yeah, that sometimes, isn't it?
Tom Griswold
This one does not end in.
Stephen Singer
In.
Tom Griswold
In death.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, well, that's good.
Tom Griswold
But there's an unusual component about it.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
So be, be prepared to enjoy that. And Christie's gonna really have to struggle to read through the Shatner story. There's a. There's a language issue we may have to double check. Has some naughty words in it. These are the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios, and this is the Bob and Tom Show.
Bob Kevoian
Jim Rome takes on sports.
Tom Griswold
I will always have a complicated relationship with this game, but people evolve. So do sports. Do not make me regret this. Do not make me devolve back to that guy that so many clones wish that I still was. And do not embarrass the entire country. Now I can go back. I can get there fast. Lose tonight and you got a real problem. Do not blow it.
Bob Kevoian
The Jim Rome show podcast.
Tom Griswold
You've been warned.
Bob Kevoian
Follow and listen on your favorite platform. Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. That's right. They have auto parts and they have studios.
Josh Arnold
Did you guess they were sold out of studios the last time I went?
Christy Lee
Oh, were they?
Josh Arnold
But they were coming in in three days.
Bob Kevoian
Interesting. There's Christy Lee at the news desk. There's Pat Godwin. Hello. Chick in the house, ladies and gentlemen. Hello, hello, hello.
Tom Griswold
Hello.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
There's Josh Arnold.
Stephen Singer
Hi.
Bob Kevoian
There's Ace Cosby. Howdy. I'm Chick. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Chick McGee. Now, Pat, your arm is still in the sling from your shoulder surgery. Yeah. One more week in the sling. Okay. Looking forward to it. But then you'll have your ass in a sling. But that's a different story. Sling my whole life. So over the weekend, I'm in a
Bob Kevoian
restaurant and I look over causing trouble by a lake. Oh, yeah, or got your binoculars out. Go ahead.
Tom Griswold
I want someone who lives on a lake to defend me here.
Bob Kevoian
I'm sure there are your rich friends. Look, I'm sure. I'm sure people who live on a lake have a Pair of binoculars, but who the hell cares?
Christy Lee
I have a pair of binoculars, but I use them for bird watching, not for the lake.
Josh Arnold
I can't have a pair of binoculars.
Bob Kevoian
I. If I had a pair of binoculars, I would be at my window 24 hours a day looking across my neighborhood.
Josh Arnold
That's the thing. I get caught with a pair no matter what I'm looking at.
Bob Kevoian
Right.
Josh Arnold
It's a problem.
Bob Kevoian
All right. Book them. Dano.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Do you ever know the guy that has the binoculars that essentially look like Mount Palomar, but twins with the. Yeah. You know, you can see the.
Josh Arnold
They're almost like the batteries and stuff.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Yeah. But. Yeah, when you live in a lake. Which I don't anymore, but I did. You want to.
Bob Kevoian
We're back to the lake.
Tom Griswold
I don't understand how you guys don't understand why. That's fun.
Josh Arnold
Probably a lot of fun.
Bob Kevoian
I understand it. But I don't understand why you feel the need to talk about living on a lake and.
Tom Griswold
Because you asked me why I ever had binoculars in my life.
Christy Lee
And what were you looking at across the lake?
Tom Griswold
Cool boats. Hey, look at the spinnaker on that thing.
Josh Arnold
It's awesome.
Bob Kevoian
He's familiar with the lingo.
Christy Lee
All right.
Josh Arnold
I've never done it.
Bob Kevoian
I know you.
Christy Lee
You spend time on a lake.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. A lot.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
And your brother lives on the lake. You know, but I'm not. I'm not saying tom's wrong here. I just have. It hasn't occurred to me to either bring.
Bob Kevoian
I would think, you know, if I lived on a lake, I would think, okay, I've got a house. I got utilities. I better get those pair of binoculars before I move in.
Josh Arnold
And when I look at the view, I just take it all.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I haven't really. I haven't yet found the need to.
Bob Kevoian
So when you have.
Tom Griswold
I would venture to say if you did a survey, 90% of people with lake houses have binoculars.
Bob Kevoian
So do you have a special place for the binoculars, like at the window? And they sit on the table.
Tom Griswold
We kept them in a cabinet and kind of a leather. And they were old ones, I think that might have belonged to my.
Josh Arnold
They have a strap. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And an old leather strap.
Josh Arnold
That's exactly the kind of binoculars we had in our house.
Tom Griswold
And you'd put them up, and then you. You had. There was like a little wheel that. Your index finger.
Bob Kevoian
That's how you focus them. Yeah, but they were.
Tom Griswold
They were relatively modest binoculars. Whereas Dr. Dr. Cooper, down about five houses, he had the ones that, like. Like I said, it looked like they needed batteries or an AC plug.
Josh Arnold
You could get gynecological with them.
Tom Griswold
And they were on a tripod.
Bob Kevoian
Did I hear that they. These were your.
Josh Arnold
That's perfect.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I mean, that's a perfect.
Tom Griswold
Hey, there's a naked lady on that cabin cruiser.
Josh Arnold
Quick.
Bob Kevoian
Did you. Grandpa. These were Grandpa Griswolds.
Christy Lee
I don't know.
Tom Griswold
They were really old. They were. God, I wish I could.
Bob Kevoian
They handed down.
Tom Griswold
I can remember the Zeiss icon.
Bob Kevoian
Absolutely. The German. Germans make lenses.
Tom Griswold
I figured it was Zeiss something was the name of the lens.
Josh Arnold
That's your top of the line right there.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, yeah. That's your workhorse in the industry.
Josh Arnold
But the guy. The binoculars with the tripod suggests you need your hands for other things while you're looking at something.
Tom Griswold
Because he had the trees where they were cut, he could have a nice view of the lake.
Bob Kevoian
But you know what? He would.
Tom Griswold
He could look at cool boats going by on their way to Harbor Springs.
Bob Kevoian
I'm searching for something in binoculars. I have the tripod so I can have that at a fixed position so I don't have to worry about finding it again. See? Not to masturbate. So don't even think about that.
Tom Griswold
This discussion. I think maybe I'll get a pair of binoculars.
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah. I don't. I don't.
Bob Kevoian
I don't think we need them for in here, do we?
Stephen Singer
No.
Tom Griswold
And not at my house because I really can't. My house is surrounded by trees. I can't see anything.
Christy Lee
Well, there are a lot of things in the trees you could see.
Tom Griswold
Pretty birds.
Bob Kevoian
Sometimes you can't see them.
Tom Griswold
Just yesterday I was thinking. I wish you could get one of those salt guns to shoot the birds away from my nice outdoor table. They keep pooping up.
Bob Kevoian
So. I've had a real problem with birds and defecation lately.
Josh Arnold
You had to move your father's hatred of birds.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I don't hate the birds. I just don't like the bird poop.
Stephen Singer
Okay.
Tom Griswold
That's why I'm now parking at a different place here in our parking lot.
Bob Kevoian
And I took over your old spot and I have yet to have really a problem with it.
Tom Griswold
Maybe it's a seasonal thing. Maybe their diet's changed.
Stephen Singer
I don't know.
Bob Kevoian
Arguably my car's a little smaller, but
Tom Griswold
still I could get. I could keep on the topic of lenses.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
But I won't. Because I want to tell you the story.
Christy Lee
All right.
Tom Griswold
I was at a restaurant. Restaurant? Yeah. And I. I looked over and I thought I saw this family of six and they were. They all had their heads about. I thought, oh, that's kind of sweet.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, they're saying grace.
Tom Griswold
They're saying grace.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, nice.
Tom Griswold
And I realized they were all just looking at their cell phones and not talking to each other. So welcome, welcome, welcome to 21st century
Josh Arnold
America and the world.
Christy Lee
Do you allow cell phones at the dinner table?
Tom Griswold
No, at my house.
Christy Lee
No at restaurants.
Tom Griswold
Well, now, be honest. This is true. Hang on a minute, wait a minute. Now this is something that's bugging me. I think I might have mentioned this before. This particular restaurant that I go to pretty much every Sunday, they don't have paper menus anymore.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, they have the QR code.
Tom Griswold
They got the QR code.
Christy Lee
Right.
Tom Griswold
So that automatically you have to be on your phone. Everyone's.
Stephen Singer
And.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Which I don't know. You know what I'm saying? You're automatically on your phone, so. Well, while I'm here, wordle is more interesting than talking to any of you.
Stephen Singer
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
They have an alternate way to pay. You don't have to use the QR
Tom Griswold
code not to pay.
Bob Kevoian
To look at the menu and to look at the. They will bring you a menu out if you insist on it.
Josh Arnold
I would, I would hope so. I mean, there are older people that are way more technically savvy than me.
Bob Kevoian
Absolutely.
Josh Arnold
But what do you do when the two 82 year old sisters want a menu at breakfast?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, well, grandma, looks like you don't get to eat. Why don't you just point at something you like? But this gets to phase two of my argument. If you're gonna do that, why not put pictures of the food?
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah, you should load it up.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, but they don't do that at your. Really the nicest restaurant.
Tom Griswold
They should. This place has really. I. I've told you this a million times. I will often go, what's that? Because you can't tell by the name, I don't think. Especially if they have foreign words which should be illegal on menus.
Bob Kevoian
What is this omelet I hear about,
Tom Griswold
Pat? It's a little more.
Bob Kevoian
So I would like the omalette, please,
Tom Griswold
with the avocado toast
Bob Kevoian
and extra avocado, please.
Tom Griswold
Like my egg poached. Oh, added avocado toast killed mo. Delightful.
Bob Kevoian
Pass.
Christy Lee
How is it different than any other avocado toast?
Tom Griswold
The ambiance.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, well, what do you go with?
Tom Griswold
The sourdough. I did. Well, there's no. You can't.
Christy Lee
There's.
Tom Griswold
This is no substitutions.
Christy Lee
Yeah, this is that recipe.
Bob Kevoian
Excuse me. Sorry. To bother you.
Tom Griswold
There's no substitute. I actually. And they know that I bring. I bring my own salt and my own fake sugar. I've got just. The waitress yesterday goes, did you bring your own sweetener?
Stephen Singer
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
They tried to rename it. It was sorry to bother you. Then they. No substitutions. And then they went back to, sorry, sorry to bother you.
Tom Griswold
No, everyone's tattooed, didn't they?
Josh Arnold
For a while. They're trying, Please don't eat here.
Bob Kevoian
Please, please don't eat here. It's too popular. You can't eat here.
Tom Griswold
The only person that is not tattooed is Samuel.
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah? Who's Samuel?
Tom Griswold
He's the bus.
Bob Kevoian
I'm sorry, your name is an orthodox Jew. Thanks, Pat.
Tom Griswold
Well, he actually is. He's from Mexico.
Bob Kevoian
If your name's Samuel, you have to go with Sam or Sammy.
Tom Griswold
You can't go with Samuel.
Christy Lee
No, my dad was a Sammy.
Bob Kevoian
No more your dad was a Sammy
Christy Lee
and it was Sammy. That was his legal name. No, Samuel. Sammy. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Wow.
Bob Kevoian
Damn, Sam. I love me a woman.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Rain, that's interesting.
Tom Griswold
So, I'm sorry. So I've gotten completely off track. But, yeah, the. Yeah, the QR code menu. I'm not a fan.
Josh Arnold
I was at a restaurant Friday I was semi hesitant to go to because it was fancier than I. Oh, you were telling us. Yes. Yeah. But it turned out to be wonderful.
Bob Kevoian
Of course. It was lovely.
Josh Arnold
But I had a question asked me that I. Where I just went. I usually eat at Cracker Barrel. We were ordering some oysters on the half shell, and I love them, of
Bob Kevoian
course, raw and right down the hatch.
Josh Arnold
So it was. Well, how many do you guys want? Oh, five. Well, we'll each do five. Yeah, yeah, five and five or whatever. Okay, great. East coast or West Coast? Oh, wow.
Bob Kevoian
Stared at the guy like, you mean,
Tom Griswold
is that your hip hop style
Josh Arnold
oyster gang? And he saw my face and he went, I'll just mix and match, thank you. I don't know.
Bob Kevoian
See now, do you think he had.
Tom Griswold
No, just the opposite happened to me.
Bob Kevoian
Or is he just trying to test the water to see what your. You were a metal of to be there in the restaurant?
Josh Arnold
Well, that's where I told him I go. Normally I eat across the street at Cracker Barrel. I don't know what that means. And he goes, I'll mix and match. And I did.
Christy Lee
Could you tell a difference?
Josh Arnold
Yes. It turns out I'm an East coast guy.
Christy Lee
All right.
Josh Arnold
I still very much enjoyed the West Coast.
Christy Lee
Well, that's interesting.
Tom Griswold
The opposite happened to me.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Yesterday Kelly came back to the table at this restaurant and she had this. This triangular wooden thing with like, like golf tees in it.
Josh Arnold
Oh, sure.
Christy Lee
You at Cracker Barrel?
Tom Griswold
No. And I said, what the hell's that, boy?
Bob Kevoian
Cracker Barrel. It sounds like a lawsuit.
Tom Griswold
And she was, she goes, oh, this is a. A game. Well, how do you play that? She goes, it's from. It's the kind of thing they have at Cracker Barrel.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And I pointed. I've never been to Cracker.
Bob Kevoian
It's a golf tee game.
Stephen Singer
You.
Christy Lee
Why we have to do.
Josh Arnold
You could end up being an ignoramoose.
Bob Kevoian
That's right.
Tom Griswold
She tried to explain the game to me and I completely don't get it.
Bob Kevoian
There's a trick to it.
Tom Griswold
It's like I am. I'm terrible at anything, like checkers or cards or any of that stuff.
Josh Arnold
Gotcha.
Tom Griswold
I cannot do that.
Bob Kevoian
There's a trick to it going on.
Tom Griswold
Probably requires focus. In any event, let's. Let's get to our letters today. And actually one of them involves what we were kind of just talking about and then involves today being moon day.
Bob Kevoian
Actually, funny enough, mo that spells moon.
Tom Griswold
I was listening to a delayed broadcast of your show on the Wolf in Prescott, Arizona.
Bob Kevoian
We're stupid.
Tom Griswold
And if I could, I. I know that so far there's been no linear really element to this show. It just skips everywhere. Hey, Jason, would you please find the. The sound of that new monkey that they discovered last week? Remember the orange lipped monkey?
Bob Kevoian
I didn't know we had sound.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, it's really cool. Oh, they discovered a new species of monkey.
Christy Lee
Where did they discover it?
Tom Griswold
In the Congo?
Bob Kevoian
Have a really good singing voice or something?
Tom Griswold
No, it's just extremely unusual.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
And, and kind of, kind of terrifying.
Bob Kevoian
You'll never find.
Tom Griswold
Hey, hey. We're the monkeys.
Bob Kevoian
That's Lou Rawls.
Tom Griswold
Can you imagine if they named it, you know, Mechanicus ralsus Because. Because it sounded like Lou Rawls. Those who aren't familiar with Mr. Rawls. Oh, gosh, highly suggest you listen.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Get familiar. My goodness.
Bob Kevoian
I. I know we all know you'll never find another, but you remember his. A real natural man.
Josh Arnold
Remember that?
Tom Griswold
And he, he was the, the speaking voice of Budweiser.
Bob Kevoian
Budweiser, yeah. God.
Tom Griswold
Great guy. Oh, no, I'm sorry, I'm. Back to our letter.
Bob Kevoian
This is from cards with him.
Tom Griswold
This is from Carl. Even, even with my add, I can't follow this on this show. Carl writes, I was listening to a delayed broadcast on the Wolf in Prescott, Arizona, as Your team discussed Josh's recent bladder camera procedure. Josh, do you want to.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I had a urinary scope where they had to feed a camera through my penis into my bladder and sort
Tom Griswold
of the genital equivalent of sword swallowing.
Josh Arnold
Oh, boy.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but it's a relatively skinny straw, Right? The tool.
Josh Arnold
Oh,
Bob Kevoian
yeah.
Tom Griswold
What is the.
Bob Kevoian
Wait a minute. What is the straw and what is the drink in this analogy?
Tom Griswold
Sorry.
Josh Arnold
No, no.
Tom Griswold
I mean, the camera's on a very. The equivalent of a very lengthy. Almost like a wire. But.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I mean, it's about a USB cord.
Bob Kevoian
How long do you think it took them? But the. When they invented it for the first time and they got to. We're trying to make it smaller right now.
Tom Griswold
Well, let me tell you, we're really
Bob Kevoian
trying to make it smaller.
Tom Griswold
As someone who had this procedure in the 70s. Yeah, but it was like coax. Yeah, they've gotten the RG6.
Bob Kevoian
Not the 59, the one where they
Tom Griswold
do it in your nose.
Bob Kevoian
No, I haven't had that one.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that. And that's. I mean, it's really, really thin. In any event, enough of our medical advice updates. So he's listening to the wolf. Yeah, I gave you a chance.
Bob Kevoian
You yelled at me the last time.
Josh Arnold
Yeah,
Tom Griswold
about Josh's bladder procedure. I suggested calling it the Hasselbladder. The camera. And of course, no one knew what I was.
Bob Kevoian
No, no, you got a reaction from
Tom Griswold
Christy because the Hasselblad. The Hasselblad, of course, the famous camera that was taken to the moon.
Christy Lee
And anybody is moon day.
Tom Griswold
Today is moon day. But. So this is a great letter.
Bob Kevoian
Who took the pictures with a buzz bus to take the pictures.
Tom Griswold
I'm one of those listeners that caught on the joke immediately. I was a kid in the 60s, am I? And a nut about the space program. The Hasselblad camera that was state of the art. Caught the Apollo, moon, Earth shots. I loved your reference. Well, thank you very much.
Josh Arnold
You know what camera they use on the beach? The Hasselhoff.
Bob Kevoian
Will you stop reading letters that sing your praises wall to wall?
Tom Griswold
It's Moon day. And maybe there's some that didn't hear the reference. The Hasselbladder. If they don't. If they don't call. If they don't call. The bladder camera. The Hasselbladder. They're ignorant idiots.
Josh Arnold
He texted me one Saturday. By the way, my daughter in law loved the Hasselbladder joke.
Tom Griswold
Well, she's a photographer, so sometimes I do material just for sophisticated photographers.
Bob Kevoian
What email did you send me over?
Josh Arnold
Oh, I love getting in defense of
Tom Griswold
my complaints about left and right.
Josh Arnold
Ready, by the way.
Bob Kevoian
Left and right.
Josh Arnold
So he said that to me, too.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
And we can get into this in a bit if we want, but 8p.
Bob Kevoian
Eight pages long.
Josh Arnold
But did you notice it actually? It really. It semi defends, Tom.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Really defends what we were saying.
Bob Kevoian
That's what I thought, but I. I really hesitated to respond here.
Tom Griswold
I'm certainly not stupid enough to send you something that would defend you.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I mean, it.
Christy Lee
What was the article?
Josh Arnold
It states exactly what we said.
Tom Griswold
Well, we'll have to come back with it.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, we will come back with it.
Tom Griswold
I want to thank.
Bob Kevoian
We don't have enough time.
Tom Griswold
Carl's been listening to us since he lived in Maryland.
Bob Kevoian
Might get me some of them French
Tom Griswold
fried potatoes he used to listen to. Bootleg cassettes of the show.
Josh Arnold
Carl send you his diary? We're not gonna get.
Tom Griswold
We're not gonna get mail.
Josh Arnold
Dear Dick.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I mean, Josh.
Josh Arnold
Oh, no. Carl won't write back.
Bob Kevoian
We go from 16. We knew.
Stephen Singer
No.
Tom Griswold
Do you know where Carl's listening now? He's listening on the Wolf. I ain't doing it. Fats is itching his ass just like he did when he wasn't even here for the last three weeks.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, boy.
Tom Griswold
All right. Okay.
Josh Arnold
All right.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
That's nothing compared to what he said while you were gone. Okay? So don't worry about it.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Now, he missed you. Don't you listen to a word.
Tom Griswold
I missed him, too.
Bob Kevoian
I don't know why I just can't come in here and sit there. Does that take. Really take that, all that much effort, you just sit there? You know, he has.
Josh Arnold
He has a point.
Christy Lee
He kind of does.
Tom Griswold
I'm sure I didn't want to, okay?
Josh Arnold
Sometimes it just comes down to that.
Bob Kevoian
Hey, you're preaching to the choir, brother. I just didn't want to.
Tom Griswold
Okay, let's see.
Bob Kevoian
Where was I?
Tom Griswold
Oh.
Stephen Singer
All right.
Tom Griswold
Coming up, we have more about Moon Day.
Christy Lee
Yes, I have the actual times for when they landed and when they walked.
Bob Kevoian
All right, there's no one in the place.
Tom Griswold
Everybody. Buzz, Mr. Aldrin to you.
Bob Kevoian
Okay. Yeah, right.
Tom Griswold
What is he, Captain General?
Stephen Singer
Tick tick.
Tom Griswold

Hello.
Stephen Singer
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
There's Pat Godwin.
Stephen Singer
Hey, Chick.
Bob Kevoian
Hello, Pat. There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi.
Bob Kevoian
Hi, Josh. There's Ace Cosby.
Josh Arnold
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
Hello, Ace. I'm Chick from the NHTSA Sports Desk. When you speed, you have less time to react. Follow the speed limit to keep other road users safe. Speeding catches up with you. Paid for by nhtsa.
Tom Griswold
Tom, I had a I felt briefly over the weekend like I think it's the last scene I'm trying to think of. I may be wrong. I think it's the very last scene in Silence of the Lambs where Hannibal Lecter is walking into the town.
Josh Arnold
Oh, sure.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's talking. He's on the payphone or something, right? Yeah. He's telling Clarice he's having an old friend for dinner. Having an old friend for dinner.
Tom Griswold
But as I recall I haven't seen the movie. He's wearing a linen suit, right?
Josh Arnold
Oh, for sure. Yeah. And he's got kind of a wig on and that hat.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I had occasion to go to a wedding over the weekend, A really beautiful wedding.
Bob Kevoian
Did you get married again?
Tom Griswold
No, no, I was. I was just a guest.
Josh Arnold
Oh.
Tom Griswold
But it was. The invitation had. Had indicated. It was what. How did they word it? Black tie optional.
Christy Lee
Right.
Josh Arnold
Boy. What does that mean?
Christy Lee
So you can wear tux or not?
Bob Kevoian
Yes.
Tom Griswold
And I. I do have a tux, but it was. Check local listings. Incredibly hot.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And my tux is black.
Josh Arnold
Sure. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
But I do have a linen suit.
Josh Arnold
I would think that'd be completely appropriate.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
So I put that on. And as I was saying, this is kind of a Hannibal Lecter thing. If I only had the hat.
Bob Kevoian
That's interesting. You. Yeah, you.
Christy Lee
What color is your linen?
Bob Kevoian
Likened it to that.
Tom Griswold
Oh. Kind of an off white.
Christy Lee
Like a khaki or like.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, kind of. Yeah, but like an ecru.
Bob Kevoian
Like a bone. Yeah, but it was like a cream.
Tom Griswold
Great wedding. But there were a whole lot of the guys there had on black tuxedos.
Josh Arnold
Did you end up eating a little penis artichoke?
Tom Griswold
Yes, of course. Yeah. When you're wearing a linen suit, you want to go. You want to ask for. What is it? A little chianti. What's the line?
Bob Kevoian
He has fava beans.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
His liver.
Christy Lee
It wasn't an outdoor wedding, was it?
Tom Griswold
Yep.
Josh Arnold
Oh, really?
Christy Lee
Wow.
Tom Griswold
We got there early enough to get a. Can we get some shade?
Bob Kevoian
Can we reach a certain point? In our country, we're all adults. Nobody wants to go to anybody else's wedding.
Christy Lee
Can we.
Tom Griswold
I totally agree. Can we just be honest? This was a terrific wedding. Great, great couple. Great, great time. You would like to bat open bar.
Christy Lee
Oh, that's not nice.
Bob Kevoian
Well, I was.
Tom Griswold
Well, he's been gone for three weeks. Earlier. He's been gone for three weeks.
Josh Arnold
Come on.
Tom Griswold
It's open season.
Bob Kevoian
By the way, if you've. We're gonna have to get some video of this. Pat has always had an adversarial relationship with our paper towel dispenser on top of the refrigerator. I got one arm and even. But my favorite part about this morning was he's reaching up there, trying to. And he's making enough noise that somebody's gonna notice, but no one does. But everyone does, but they're acting like they don't notice. And he's. And Hoffy finally goes, need some help, Pat?
Tom Griswold
And then I pointed out there Was one right behind him. That's at eye level.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Much easier to grab.
Bob Kevoian
Trying to concentrate on my work.
Tom Griswold
Go ahead. We're ready. Serenade.
Josh Arnold
Don't you take any of this. Godwin.
Bob Kevoian
Dear Bob and Tom show. This letter says
Tom Griswold
I got Jack.
Bob Kevoian
See, this past Saturday, our family went to a Memphis Redbirds baseball game in Memphis, Tennessee. Would anyone like to guess what the Memphis Redbirds used to be called? The Memphis Chicks.
Stephen Singer
That's right.
Bob Kevoian
We had a beer, had a hot dog. Tom at the ball game. All right. We also got the opportunity to see the one and only Joey Chestnut eat. And man, did he ever. A five a plate of five pound barbecue pork nachos in 2 minutes and 12 seconds.
Josh Arnold
Whoa.
Bob Kevoian
It was really something to see. It says we also got the chance to meet with him before the contest and tell him we hear him all the time on the Bob and Tom show. Super nice guy. Really cool to meet him and see him in action.
Josh Arnold
Oh, good.
Bob Kevoian
We now have a Joey Chestnut signed hat that says bad day to be a barbecue nacho.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, man.
Bob Kevoian
What did Jacob and Brianna in Arkansas. Gould, Arkansas.
Tom Griswold
Would it be harder to eat in the. In the heat?
Josh Arnold
I think so.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, yes. But he's harder to eat, harder to run.
Josh Arnold
He's trained. I mean, that's his. You know, July 4th is rarely chilly.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that's true. But they didn't. At least they didn't have the smoky air that's still in some spots.
Josh Arnold
That was the last time you went to Memphis.
Christy Lee
I've been to Memphis.
Josh Arnold
Fair amount of
Bob Kevoian
smoking.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Out of a machine gun fire.
Christy Lee
Oh, my God.
Tom Griswold
I am not guilty of that. This one. This is all. Oh, okay.
Josh Arnold
So it has been a while since you've been to Memphis.
Tom Griswold
All right.
Bob Kevoian
Your Bob and Tom show. Someone get a hold of Christy, who's closest. Pat.
Christy Lee
Pat, hold me.
Tom Griswold
Pat.
Bob Kevoian
Be careful with dear Bob and Top show. Listening to Friday show, the podcast. You just had the interesting conversation with the woman whose significant other has her put his. Her feet on his lap and he sticks food between her toes.
Tom Griswold
You want to give some background on this?
Christy Lee
I think he just did.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. A guy, as a joke, his girlfriend's feet were on his lap, so he started putting Doritos between her toes. This was Jess Hooker's friend and they started videoing it as a joke, but it turned into like a. Oh, my gosh. It went viral because there are dudes out there that just loved it.
Bob Kevoian
Bazillion. Bazillion.
Josh Arnold
And probably some women. A handful.
Bob Kevoian
Maybe you then as you were talking about Food between her toes, changed the topic and proceeded an unnecessarily loud gunshot that nearly made me crap myself. I'm just trying to pass the information along, Mitch. Okay, thank you, Mitch, very much. If this is read on the air, it makes me a member of the five letter club. Well, congratulations, Mitch. Way to go, Mitch.
Josh Arnold
Well, congratulations said Chick.
Bob Kevoian
Dear Bob and Top Show, I know Jess Hooker is a renowned chef. I like to consider myself just as inspiring. Here you go. Put a glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut in the air fryer, 400 degrees for four minutes.
Tom Griswold
What?
Bob Kevoian
It comes out like cream brulee. Trust me, Becky from Nebraska.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I mean, molten hot.
Tom Griswold
Wouldn't it catch fire?
Bob Kevoian
Well, you would have to let it cool off before you ate it, but yeah, there you go.
Josh Arnold
The cleanup just seemed worth it at all.
Bob Kevoian
Never get it out of the air fryer.
Tom Griswold
That's an interesting recipe. Is there a way to shield it so that it doesn't spray all over?
Bob Kevoian
Well, I don't think.
Tom Griswold
You don't think so?
Josh Arnold
I just met the bottom would just be gooey as heck, but might want
Bob Kevoian
to put down some parchment.
Josh Arnold
I bet it is. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Would you put it in a turin of some sort?
Josh Arnold
Like. Like your creme brulees?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Makes sense. Is it terrine or turin?
Josh Arnold
I don't know what the proper.
Bob Kevoian
A shroud of turin.
Josh Arnold
It might be too large for a ramekin. Might it?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, ramekin be teeny.
Bob Kevoian
Where does decanter fit into this?
Josh Arnold
Is that.
Tom Griswold
Oh, he's the guy that. He's the guy that sings in Yiddish.
Josh Arnold
Somewhere between. Somewhere between carafe and.
Bob Kevoian
Go on, Josh. I'm listening.
Tom Griswold
I want to see. I want to see the chart. So, giraffe decanter, ramekin tumbler, turin tumbler, Stanley. By the way, the Stanleys have gotten out of control.
Josh Arnold
Also.
Tom Griswold
They're gonna have to redesign every car.
Bob Kevoian
They're too large.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I thought the bottom of the Stanley was made.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but the bottom is. But then. Yeah, but it topples. Then it's. Then it expands up and now you can't have two of them next to each other.
Bob Kevoian
Gotcha.
Josh Arnold
I don't have.
Tom Griswold
No.
Josh Arnold
I'm not a fan taking my Stanley in the car.
Christy Lee
I'm a yeti girl.
Josh Arnold
By the way, 60 year old yoga widow. I drink that.
Bob Kevoian
By the way, Tom, your gum chewing going? Because I know a couple of weeks ago it had gotten a little loud.
Tom Griswold
I was.
Josh Arnold
Oh, in the car.
Christy Lee
Oh, here we go.
Tom Griswold
I got into trouble yesterday again.
Bob Kevoian
I know you were going at it pretty good this morning. I know.
Christy Lee
You have to chew gum.
Tom Griswold
I have to chew gum at times because my right ear. Ever since my heart surgery, my right ear closes and the only thing I can do is chew some gum.
Christy Lee
Well, you don't have to do it with your mouth open.
Bob Kevoian
How about to shake them however you want? How about shaking your eyes? Have you stopped doing that? Or you still.
Josh Arnold
How about the breathing? Next. Next time there's this. Next time there's quote unquote noise from the passenger seat as you're driving down the highway. Just point to her door and go. You know the exit's right there.
Tom Griswold
Remember that pilot instructor that jumped out of the plane? I gotta slow down. Feel free, feel free, feel free. You can even wait till I stop. All right, Coming up, we have more of your letters.
Bob Kevoian
No way to live.
Tom Griswold
Boy, we have. We have a interesting world record. William she, Shatner news, Parachuting news, a cool refrigeration story. Actually, it really is interesting moon stuff. And a fake phallus in the news. Faux phallus, Faux fallus. Do they serve that at your favorite Japanese restaurant?
Bob Kevoian
Or how about.
Tom Griswold
These are the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Bob Kevoian
Hey, thanks for listening. Listening to the Bob and Tom show this morning. Get a look at today's show on our YouTube channel.
Christy Lee

Christy Lee
Hello. Hello.
Bob Kevoian
There's Pat Godwin. Hey, Chick. Hey, there's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi.
Bob Kevoian
There's Ace Cosby. Hey, I'm Chick at the NHTSA sports desk. Slow down. You move too fast. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Pat Godwin's television specials floating around the ether. You'll find it at dry bar. And you can check out Patty G. Filmed about a year ago. A little more than a year ago. Four million hits. Four million.
Josh Arnold
Well deserved.
Christy Lee
Congratulations.
Josh Arnold
I'm lying.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, 280,000.
Josh Arnold
They're all lies.
Christy Lee
Okay, okay.
Bob Kevoian
Three people saw it.
Tom Griswold
Very helpful. Okay, where was I? Oh, I know. What have you got over there?
Bob Kevoian
Me? I got sports. Is that okay? You have a letter.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I got some. I got plenty of letters. Okay, well, everyone, I've read you've attacked the.
Christy Lee
I must have missed it when I was gone. You must have talked about this. Okay, this is from Ryan in Washington, Iowa, I believe. Morning, you sexy beasts. Oh, you were talking about buying tampons. My wife sent me out to get her tampons a while back. She sent a picture of what she uses so there I was, standing in the aisle looking at the picture and happened to notice two other guys next to me with their phones out as well. It was clear that all three of us had no idea what we were doing.
Josh Arnold
Well, it's all right. You had the pictures and you're good. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, we know what we're doing. We're crazy about that stuff.
Josh Arnold
It's just a biscuit to sop up.
Bob Kevoian
All right. I don't mind going through a little brush knowing I'm getting to a picnic.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I hang them up on a clothesline. I will wait in the red on my road.
Josh Arnold
Red means go.
Tom Griswold
That's right. I think we've done our job.
Christy Lee
That was interesting.
Josh Arnold
There you go, Red.
Stephen Singer
Scott.
Tom Griswold
We'd had a letter about that.
Bob Kevoian
It's not.
Tom Griswold
As Josh pointed out, it's not that difficult. Everybody's done. It just. It's a little confusing, though, because buying feminine hygiene products, it's kind of like. Like buying salad dressing. There's 800 different types out there.
Christy Lee
Sure.
Tom Griswold
And especially weird when you ask for the ranch. Damn, boss boy.
Josh Arnold
They're put. Putting that in everything, aren't they?
Bob Kevoian
Wow.
Tom Griswold
Did you see that has been the.
Bob Kevoian
I do like ranch.
Tom Griswold
The huge takeaway from the World Cup. The World Cup.
Bob Kevoian
Everybody took ranch home. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
There all. All these articles about ranch. And we did have a cool story that you missed. A unusual food item is coming out that is based on ranch dressing. Essentially. It's like pop rocks.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
But it's ranch.
Christy Lee
They pop in your mouth.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Ranch flavoring.
Tom Griswold
I guess you could add it to a salad. I think it sounds kind of interesting. You could put it in a sandwich or whatever. But when you get to one and you bite in and it has that burst of flavor. It was greeted with a profound lack of enthusiasm by everyone here except for me. I thought it sounded.
Christy Lee
Well, I'm not a ranch person, so I'm not gonna jump on that bandwagon, but.
Bob Kevoian
What? Oh, that's right. There's flavor in that. I forgot.
Tom Griswold
Okay, well, we'll. We'll get to some of these letters a little bit later on if you want to move on to the world of sports. I know that obviously the big news comes from the world of soccer.
Bob Kevoian
That's right. Go ahead if you want to. You want to steal my thunder?
Tom Griswold
One nil. Hey, score festival.
Bob Kevoian
I had a lovely time watching this game.
Josh Arnold
It was quite exciting.
Bob Kevoian
Exciting.
Christy Lee
Very exciting.
Bob Kevoian
A lot of great sales.
Josh Arnold
Those corner kicks, man. You forget every corner kick is just a potential goal.
Bob Kevoian
Absolutely. And that goalie they got a. The guy from Argentina got a yellow card for whining and flopping. You can't get upset about that.
Christy Lee
Then he got a red card and was thrown out again.
Tom Griswold
I've learned some soccer terminology and my interest in soccer is.
Bob Kevoian
Is nil. Thank you.
Tom Griswold
Elegant, poetic joke.
Christy Lee
Did you watch the halftime show?
Tom Griswold
I did not.
Christy Lee
Bts.
Tom Griswold
I'd rather have. I should have a T shirt. Bto, not bts.
Bob Kevoian
Did you see as well, a little
Tom Griswold
bit of Bachman Turner overdrive for your ass? Huh?
Bob Kevoian
Christie's right. Christy.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
That's your name?
Christy Lee
That's my name.
Bob Kevoian
The mom puts were on the halftime show. It was Piggy and
Josh Arnold
I missed Madonna. I turned it back on and BTS was singing.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah. You missed her, right?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. Right before that she.
Tom Griswold
Which one did she do?
Bob Kevoian
What song? I don't know.
Christy Lee
She did the song music.
Josh Arnold
Oh, that's a fun one.
Bob Kevoian
She creaked out there.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Babe sang a song. He was pretty good. Justin Bieber.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, yeah.
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah.
Christy Lee
Thing. I think he was the only one singing.
Tom Griswold
But it was. It was. I did hear them say that it was sort of like the super bowl in that they had an unusually long halftime.
Bob Kevoian
So it did not seem.
Christy Lee
It didn't seem long.
Josh Arnold
It was 10 minutes longer than the typical halftime.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
So.
Tom Griswold
But I guess the players had an issue with it.
Stephen Singer
I don't know.
Tom Griswold
I would think they'd want the.
Christy Lee
I don't think it affected the outcome of the game any.
Josh Arnold
No, I mean, Spain dominated and should have won.
Christy Lee
Exactly.
Tom Griswold
I see.
Bob Kevoian
Faron Tors, 106th minute, he scores a one nothing win over defending champ Argentina in the World Cup Final.
Josh Arnold
To me though, it should have been sudden death. Death.
Bob Kevoian
It. As soon as that goal scored.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Now we got to just pretend for another 15 minutes.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I don't understand how that works.
Bob Kevoian
Messi and Argentina found a way to.
Tom Griswold
There's no fixed time.
Christy Lee
Yeah, it's 15 minutes. 15 minutes. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
In this case there was a. This was. This was not added on time.
Bob Kevoian
This was extra time because our Spain scored was not one nothing. And then Argentina had the ball for. For quite a while.
Christy Lee
Right.
Josh Arnold
It was overtime, essentially. It was overtime.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
But then if it would have still been tied, then they go to penalty kick. Penalty kicks or kicks. Right. That's really.
Tom Griswold
That's really dumb.
Josh Arnold
No, that's exciting as it gets.
Christy Lee
That's how Argentina wins. Crazy worried about.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, they're great. Great penalty kick.
Tom Griswold
So like in a baseball game, if, with. If they did that, if it were tied after nine innings, they would Just have a home run derby.
Josh Arnold
No, they kind of do. That would be awesome. That'd be better. That would be.
Bob Kevoian
That'd be great.
Josh Arnold
That'd be better than having a guy absolutely already on second and exactly. Essentially telling everyone, yeah, we also just want to go home.
Bob Kevoian
I wouldn't, I wouldn't care about the guy on second. If they get rid of the umpires and put a lawn chair back there, then I'm on board. Ryan Fox capped off an amazing week at the British Open in Southport and finish. He won't forget the 39 year old New Zealander. Mayday. The kiwi made a 12 foot birdie on the final hole 68 to capture his first major championship.
Tom Griswold
He's apparently a really cool guy.
Bob Kevoian
Wonderful guy.
Tom Griswold
Really cool guy.
Bob Kevoian
He talks a little funny but you know, that's all right. You got that accent, got that flavor. Yeah. Joey Logano held off Denny Hamlin for his first NASCAR cup series.
Josh Arnold
Don't worry about it.
Bob Kevoian
Season. Yeah, he's a made guy. Sunday night, North Woodsboro IndyCar this afternoon, 3 o'. Clock. Got rained out yesterday. It'll be on Fox.
Tom Griswold
You got to hand it to those broadcasters on Fox. Stalling.
Christy Lee
Yeah, those guys did a great job. My favorite thing and they were really excited. This is going to happen. We're going to get this race in. No, you're not.
Bob Kevoian
What are they talking about now? Well, apparently one of them had dinner at Jack's barbecue.
Tom Griswold
They do kind of run out of stuff.
Christy Lee
Well and the World cup had obviously gone long and the race was supposed to start and I at one point I walked down and I go, wow, they're going to start this late. What's going to happen? I go, you know what they're going to do? They're going to come out and it's going to be raining and I kind of jinxed it. I didn't know you are which yeah, sorry about that.
Josh Arnold
Congrats to everybody who took care of the World Cup. By the way, that's a huge undertaking.
Christy Lee
Yeah, we it made. Yeah. It was a fun time.
Bob Kevoian
That's right. It was a resounding success.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
With great ticket sales, attendance, TV ratings. It will be interesting to see what the World Cup Final. What kind of ratings that drew with usa of course not involved old. Still very popular here in the United States. That's great. Everybody seemed to love it.
Tom Griswold
It's not for me.
Josh Arnold
I did see there was another soccer game on like.
Bob Kevoian
Oh yeah, like MLS or something like that.
Josh Arnold
Hey fellows, fellas.
Bob Kevoian
The Kansas City Pioneers, we're Enjoying the World Cup.
Josh Arnold
Let's, let's, let's not get out.
Christy Lee
We should have taken that day off.
Bob Kevoian
Conor McGregor. It has been revealed he suffered a torn right ACL and his shortened UFC 329 Max Holloway. Did you see the start of this fight?
Tom Griswold
The whole fight was what? 30 seconds?
Bob Kevoian
Ding. He comes out, he tries to do a kick, lands, tears his knee.
Christy Lee
I mean it's like check. Didn't he.
Bob Kevoian
He also suffered meniscus damage. It's meniscus in the fight on July 11. It lasted a minute nine. Comparing it to an injury he suffered in the other leg against Holloway in 2013. It's a tiny world, Tom. What is it? You wouldn't want to paint it. Isn't that the joke?
Josh Arnold
You know, sometimes bad things happen to drunks who punch out 80 year old men.
Christy Lee
Hey, sometimes, Carmen. Yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
But hasn't he lost his last three outings?
Bob Kevoian
It's his rep. Yes, but people want to see him. McGregor's fight on Paramount plus the highest rated ever in the history of the world.
Josh Arnold
I've bombed my last three shows. I'm still going to go out there.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, non, non. NFL McGregor, he's still the highest rated UFC fighter, period. No question. What do you think of that?
Tom Griswold
I think people are idiots. The guy's a dick and he sucks.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, so let's say there's only two things on Conor McGregor. Fight or the World cup final.
Christy Lee
What are you watching?
Bob Kevoian
What are you doing?
Tom Griswold
Tom, Can I have my cell phone with me?
Bob Kevoian
You know what? No, you can't.
Josh Arnold
Speaking of fighting, are we going to talk? Brady versus Paul.
Bob Kevoian
Jake. Jake, Paul and Tom.
Josh Arnold
Paul and Tom Brady slapped Logan Paul in the face.
Bob Kevoian
I don't remember. I don't.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
See that?
Josh Arnold
I saw a couple headlines and went. I don't know if it's real or not.
Bob Kevoian
I mean, it's real. Sounds like.
Josh Arnold
I don't know if it was staged.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, I had not seen. Seen a word about you.
Christy Lee
Look into it.
Tom Griswold
I missed that.
Josh Arnold
Rare that I come in with a new story that had to be staged
Tom Griswold
to write this letter.
Josh Arnold
Lap. I. I don't know so well.
Bob Kevoian
What's his. One of the Pauls said he erred by fighting Josh Joshua Jackson or whatever. The guy that broke his head.
Josh Arnold
You know, this was a mistake.
Bob Kevoian
You know, in retrospect. Not that my dog. My dog does not work.
Josh Arnold
Hindi is 28.
Bob Kevoian
That's right. Hey, let me tell you about NHTSA, Tom. The crowd sponsors of the Chick Biggie sports desk. You speed while driving, you have less time to react. Whatever comes across your path, a sharp turn take you by surprise. Another car could turn in front of you. Truck could break suddenly, a cyclist enter the road ahead. A pedestrian could be walking their puppy dog and your foot on the gas might lead to a tragedy. You may not think any of those things could happen to you, but you won't see them coming until they do happen. And that'll be too late. When you're speeding, you don't have time to course correct. You don't have time to stop. It only takes an instant for disaster. The speed limit isn't just there to protect you, of course. It's there to protect your passengers, other drivers, cyclists, pedestrians and everyone that shares the road. Slow down, obey the law, help keep everyone around you safe. Speeding does catch up with you. Paid for by nhtsa.
Tom Griswold
Thank you very much, Ditzer. Thank you very much, Chick Magee. Coming up, we have an interesting story about a couple guys that found out that they were switched at birth some 38 years ago. Yeah. Also we it is National Moon Day celebrating the men landing on the moon. We have the Wizinator in the news. And one of my favorite stories today involves a food truck that has been banned because of their slogan. We'll find out about all those things from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Bob Kevoian
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios at the news desk. It's Christy Lee.
Christy Lee
Oh, hello there.
Bob Kevoian
Hello there. There's Pat Godwin.
Stephen Singer
Hey, Ch.
Bob Kevoian
Hello. There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
I have a human behavior question for you all coming up.
Bob Kevoian
All right.
Christy Lee
All righty.
Bob Kevoian
There's Ace Cosby. Hello. I don't know if there's a human in the room, but we'll do the best we can. Chick. Hello to go ahead, Josh.
Josh Arnold
I was lucky enough to go to two concerts over the weekend and this happened at both of them. And we've all seen this happen. Somebody is dancing, right?
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Standing up, dancing.
Bob Kevoian
Got it.
Josh Arnold
The person behind them doesn't care for this.
Bob Kevoian
Hey, sit down.
Tom Griswold
Has
Josh Arnold
a man asking a drunk 45 year old woman to stop dancing ever ended?
Bob Kevoian
Well, no, no, no.
Josh Arnold
And I mean I wanted to look at these guys and go, why are you even bothering? I mean this is, this will not, not only will this not work, this is going to make a way larger scene than what is happening if you just let her dance.
Christy Lee
Right.
Tom Griswold
But was she a woo girl too? Did she also go
Josh Arnold
the first girl the Friday at Whiskey Myers and Black Crows no, she was just dancing. The. The other concert was Sarah McLaughlin.
Christy Lee
Oh, God.
Josh Arnold
And she was a Woo girl.
Stephen Singer
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Sort of inexplicably. It's hard to dance and Woo to Sarah McLaughlin. To building a mystery. But she was. She found a way.
Bob Kevoian
Huh?
Josh Arnold
But you just let that happen. You don't.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
So how did it end?
Josh Arnold
You weren't.
Tom Griswold
You weren't the one. No.
Josh Arnold
No.
Tom Griswold
You were just observing.
Josh Arnold
Was I mildly annoyed by it? Occasionally. But it was. It. I wasn't gonna let it ruin my time. And I certainly let them first. I don't know. Let her dance.
Tom Griswold
I assume the one at the. Sarah McLaughlin was topless.
Josh Arnold
The woman dancing. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
It was hot.
Bob Kevoian
What does that have to do.
Josh Arnold
You would have had a ton of assumptions about it.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
She was in a very sort of wood Stockian type dress.
Bob Kevoian
Oh.
Tom Griswold
Hippie chick.
Josh Arnold
And a lot of. A lot of hair.
Bob Kevoian
Dirty leg. Could have been a dirty leg, Tom.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, you would have called her a dirty leg for sure.
Tom Griswold
Hairy armpits, none of that.
Josh Arnold
But. But you would think, you know. But. Gosh darn it. And is there a lovelier voice? My man. Oh, man.
Christy Lee
Oh, she's beautiful.
Bob Kevoian
Good.
Tom Griswold
Now, you were talking about Christy. Read that letter about she'll learn to love. It's almost a trope, guys having to go buy tampons.
Christy Lee
You're lucky these days you have the photos you can look.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
No, back in the day, you had to just kind of guess.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. And the brand I have to look for, of course, is rather difficult. I think they're like. It's made from like organic cotton
Stephen Singer
grown
Tom Griswold
by grass fed monks. Grass fed.
Bob Kevoian
Have any of you. Can you learn from my mistakes? Will you not say things on the air that you don't want? Repeatedly.
Tom Griswold
I had to go over dinner three different stores. When I finally found that, I bought every box they had. Here's a letter on a different topic.
Bob Kevoian
You are a heartbeat on this topic.
Josh Arnold
Real quick. Don't you buy the tampons. And also her favorite period food.
Bob Kevoian
Absolutely.
Josh Arnold
And then just come home. The superhero.
Christy Lee
There you go.
Tom Griswold
What's period food?
Christy Lee
Oh, my gosh. Period food.
Bob Kevoian
Well, depending on what. Single.
Stephen Singer
No.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
No. Depending on what year she was born, you get the favorite food of that era. Right.
Christy Lee
Usually when you're on your period, you crave certain things. Chocolate, usually. Or salt.
Bob Kevoian
A salty thing. It's never protein.
Christy Lee
Oh.
Josh Arnold
She lets you know. She might not come out and let you know, but over time you learn what her period food is.
Tom Griswold
I had no. This is a whole new thing.
Josh Arnold
I gotta Figure this out.
Christy Lee
No, seriously, pay attention to your life.
Tom Griswold
I can't pay attention attention to anything. Haven't you figured that out period? Okay, this, this is a letter. It says with reference to that topic. It said there is one thing worse.
Christy Lee
What's that?
Tom Griswold
My mother, 92 years old, asked me to pick up some adult diapers.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, well, well, well.
Josh Arnold
Again, a hero.
Tom Griswold
The store, the store did not have self checkout. So naturally the woman at checkout was in a very attractive lady. I must have said at least five times. I hope this is the brand my mom wants. I hope this is the right size for my mother.
Bob Kevoian
Is that supposed to make it better that he's buying present?
Tom Griswold
I made quite a show of padding looking for my wallet, so she noticed there was no padding. That I was not wearing adult diapers. I was so self conscious.
Bob Kevoian
Wow, man. There you go.
Josh Arnold
You guys get self conscious buying toilet paper. No, I do, I do.
Christy Lee
Do you really?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, a little bit.
Josh Arnold
What I do is I, I make zero sense.
Bob Kevoian
I find the book, everybody poops in the store and I take it with me.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, yeah. And you read it while you're.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, that's right.
Josh Arnold
Smart. I'm gonna have to do that.
Bob Kevoian
Go ahead, make fun.
Josh Arnold
There is a little bit of self consciousness of.
Tom Griswold
I think the only time is I've seen someone at, you know, one of those giant like Sam's Club or Costco place places with a cart with.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
A couple hundred rolls.
Josh Arnold
Right.
Tom Griswold
Which I later found out was because this person was a coach and it was for.
Josh Arnold
Oh, gotcha.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that I was thinking, what else
Bob Kevoian
do you think it would be?
Tom Griswold
I don't know. I.
Josh Arnold
Well, that's what hinders my. It's because I, I buy it by the 24 or 36. I just want to do it quarterly at most and like walk carrying that for my car to my house. I'm like the neighbor's like, well, there goes the crapper. Look at him. I buy four rolls.
Bob Kevoian
Well, you've got a.
Tom Griswold
Don't you have a three different stores at a time?
Bob Kevoian
Don't you have a really mouthy cashier too? Doesn't she notice things that you're buying
Josh Arnold
at the, at the grocery store? Yeah. I had never met her or seen her before and I was putting my groceries on the, the conveyor there and a lot of vegetables and fruits and lean meats. She looked at my groceries and at me and then back at my groceries and back at me and said, making some changes.
Tom Griswold
Shopping for somebody else, are you?
Bob Kevoian
That is my favorite
Josh Arnold
Matter of fact
Bob Kevoian
Josh ongoing live on stage.
Tom Griswold
That's in the act now. I'm sorry.
Bob Kevoian
We were at the. At the sports desk I believe WNBA Dallas over the Sparks. Dream Beach Chicago and Phoenix beat Connecticut in the wnba. And that brings us to guess what stupid world record.
Josh Arnold
This is a good one.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, first, hang on. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. They were not harmed following an attempted home invasion Saturday morning.
Josh Arnold
Morning he goes by they.
Bob Kevoian
The incident happened around 5 in the morning. According to.
Tom Griswold
He's a really just good family man.
Bob Kevoian
Chester County District attorney's office Police in pursuit of a white SUV and two suspects they think participated in the crime. We know there's more than one but we're still trying to determine how many were involved. That's Captain Tyler Moore.
Josh Arnold
Man, that's scary.
Tom Griswold
They were home.
Bob Kevoian
All of the occupants in the home physically okay. Obviously a little shake taken after the incident. Incredibly grateful that Saquon is Quan family not injured during this incident.
Stephen Singer
Thank you.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, thank goodness for that.
Tom Griswold
If you want to get back to basketball, I have something you may not have seen.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, I see it all.
Tom Griswold
Got this letter.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Apparently. Do you remember Dr. Buckets, Christine?
Christy Lee
Forget Dr. Buckets.
Bob Kevoian
All of us are still in therapy because of Dr. Buckets. I believe Steve.
Christy Lee
He's our world record holder for many half court shots.
Tom Griswold
Three points and he just got the record. What was it for? Three pointers during 24 hours. We talked to him right afterwards and I don't know I'll give you the source on this, but I, I don't know if this has been verified. NBA three point line.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
In 24 hours. According to this from Reddit, my brother broke the world record for NBA three pointer made in 24 hours. No break longer than 10 minutes. He got zero sleep. Previous record 11,115. My brother made 11,542 three pointers with an 86% shooting average over 24 hours.
Josh Arnold
This person's claiming that this is brand new.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Tom Griswold
This just happened.
Christy Lee
Beat Dr. Buckets.
Tom Griswold
That's the, that's the contention here.
Christy Lee
Oh.
Tom Griswold
So I'm, I don't know if we. But still, I mean it's, it's, there's a video and it's just amazing.
Bob Kevoian
23ft 9 inches. Tom, that's your NBA 3.
Tom Griswold
Zoe sinks one after another. That's absolutely amazing. We spoke with Dr. Buckets who also has the half court record. It's amazing. Some amazing cool stuff. So we'll see what happens with that.
Bob Kevoian
And I sent you this over the weekend I don't know if you noticed it or not, but British. British runner Josh Kirk.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Ran the fastest mile in history. This is a mile. It took him 3 minutes, 42 seconds.
Christy Lee
Oh, my goodness.
Josh Arnold
That's bananas.
Bob Kevoian
Kerr's historic run broke a Moroccan Hickam El garroge marks of 343.13 set in Rome in 1999, ending a record that stood for. Yeah. 27 years. Kerr's 28 years old. Took a celebratory lap around London Stadium. Him, after fixing his place in track and field history.
Tom Griswold
Man.
Bob Kevoian
3 minutes, 42.66 seconds.
Christy Lee
Couldn't run down the hall.
Bob Kevoian
Running the mind.
Tom Griswold
The record belongs once again to England.
Bob Kevoian
That's exactly right. Roger Bannister.
Tom Griswold
Roger Bannister.
Josh Arnold
The first was Roger Bannister. Pre Fontaine. Thank you. Thank you.
Tom Griswold
Yes and yes, absolutely. Pre.
Bob Kevoian
Stupid.
Tom Griswold
World record.
Bob Kevoian
Steven Prefontaine.
Tom Griswold
No, but isn't there a famous Fontaine.
Bob Kevoian
Not.
Josh Arnold
There's a famous runner Prefontaine.
Bob Kevoian
There's, of course, famous Prefontaine. We're not recognizing a Fontaine because that's not what we're talking about.
Tom Griswold
Okay, Wasn't there. What was Red Skelton? What was that?
Bob Kevoian
It was Jackie Gleason.
Tom Griswold
What was.
Josh Arnold
Who had.
Tom Griswold
What was it Frank Fontaine. Who was the Fontaine. I'm trying to get the reference here.
Bob Kevoian
He was the bartender. Jackie would go in.
Tom Griswold
What was his name? Name.
Bob Kevoian
Frank Fontaine.
Tom Griswold
Frank Fontaine. Sorry.
Josh Arnold
Oh, okay.
Stephen Singer
How about that?
Tom Griswold
Was he crazy in Guggenheim?
Bob Kevoian
Yes, I think he was. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Sorry.
Christy Lee
What the hell are you talking about?
Tom Griswold
Frankie Fontaine.
Bob Kevoian
Somebody.
Christy Lee
I was talking to somebody talking to
Bob Kevoian
somebody over the weekend and they go, wow, you guys. Yeah. Oh, it's still. Oh, it's a great show.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Anything change? Well, it sounds more like we're all sitting at the home talking every now and then, but other than that. That who did. Frank Fontaine.
Tom Griswold
Fontaine's been deceased for what, 50 years?
Josh Arnold
You. Look, I. I was just trying to be a little silly.
Tom Griswold
It was a great joke, I think. Disrespectful to anyone who's ever rolled.
Bob Kevoian
Prefontaine. Steve Prefontaine always just captivated me because he did not look like he was. Just look like a regular guy.
Christy Lee
He did not look like a run.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, he didn't look like. He wasn't wiry and thin.
Josh Arnold
He looked like a member of Uriah. He.
Bob Kevoian
Long hair, really cool mustache. Did he break the four minute money? No, he broke everything.
Tom Griswold
The greatest runner of his generation, Nikes exist largely because of him.
Christy Lee
There's a great movie about that serial
Bob Kevoian
Record breaker Andre Ortolf. You ran for me at Wrestlemania. Doesn't that sound like Andre Ortol? He has a new Guinness world record title under his belt. Well, a 32 year old German claimed the record for the most balloons popped with the plunger.
Stephen Singer
All right.
Tom Griswold
Oh boy.
Bob Kevoian
In 30 seconds.
Christy Lee
With the handle part or with this plunger part?
Bob Kevoian
With a total of.
Josh Arnold
I'd rather see the plunger part.
Tom Griswold
That is a fair question because this is so stupid.
Bob Kevoian
It doesn't. It doesn't say in this story.
Tom Griswold
Okay, well, do we have the video?
Christy Lee
Couldn't be.
Tom Griswold
Okay, here we go.
Christy Lee
That would make no sense.
Tom Griswold
He's got the balloons lined up on the floor.
Bob Kevoian
Last time we saw this we detected a needle in the plunger. Is that right?
Christy Lee
Yeah, maybe the plunger.
Tom Griswold
This has to be a David. This is a challenge for David Rush. This is the kind of thing he's great at.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah, great at.
Tom Griswold
But yeah, no, he's using the rubber end of the plunger to pop the balloons.
Bob Kevoian
I.
Josh Arnold
There are a couple things that I don't. I wish were different about this. A larger plunger would be funnier.
Stephen Singer
Yes.
Josh Arnold
And the balloons are clearly affixed to the floor.
Bob Kevoian
Right.
Josh Arnold
It's much more challenging obviously if you
Christy Lee
have to chase them around the room.
Tom Griswold
Yes, especially. Especially if they're full of helium. Now you've got some and you gotta capture them.
Christy Lee
No, no.
Tom Griswold
Stick them on the floor. Trap them.
Bob Kevoian
Don't introduce helium.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, cheapness.
Bob Kevoian
Are you kidding? Make them loose balloons.
Stephen Singer
That's a better.
Bob Kevoian
Make them loose.
Tom Griswold
This guy's. This guy's a German, huh?
Bob Kevoian
So what do you got to say about that?
Tom Griswold
I know what you're gonna say. I think Germans are used to a lot of clogged toilets.
Bob Kevoian
Oh no.
Tom Griswold
German sausage tends to produce very dense.
Bob Kevoian
Because all the plumbing companies and are owned by generations. There's the first.
Josh Arnold
Right, Right.
Tom Griswold
The turd. The Turd Reich.
Bob Kevoian
Now what you think you're hearing at clumsy is not. Don't think that's.
Tom Griswold
This guy is kind of in David Rush's league. He has 150 world records to his name.
Bob Kevoian
That sounds like more than Dave.
Josh Arnold
I think I. I think it's double.
Stephen Singer
What?
Josh Arnold
Dave.
Tom Griswold
No, I don't think so. His favorite record is Funny.
Bob Kevoian
You're loyal to a guy who breaks Guinness record.
Tom Griswold
His. This guy has the fewest darts ever to score a 501 while blindfolded.
Bob Kevoian
I guess that's good boy.
Tom Griswold
Which he did with 49 throws.
Josh Arnold
Oh, that's impressive.
Bob Kevoian
I want to see.
Josh Arnold
I usually play 301.
Bob Kevoian
Why can't he put 501 darts into an apple sitting on someone's head? Oh, I can relate to that.
Tom Griswold
You might want to wear eye protection.
Bob Kevoian
501.
Christy Lee
Nice. Gene.
Josh Arnold
It is a nice day.
Bob Kevoian
Button fly.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
See?
Stephen Singer
I see.
Tom Griswold
Well, congratulations to Andre or Law or Toff or whatever his name is.
Bob Kevoian
You got me slappy.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Okay. Proficient with a place plunger. So very good. Very good. Oh, well, is that. Does that conclude our sports broadcast
Stephen Singer
now?
Tom Griswold
Do you have a plunger at your house?
Christy Lee
Who doesn't have a plunger?
Tom Griswold
Tell you something, I bet Pat doesn't.
Josh Arnold
I have two. You two.
Tom Griswold
I have a 15 year old son.
Bob Kevoian
I got three bathrooms, no waiting. Each one has a plunger and each one, the plunger has a little house.
Tom Griswold
Oh, lovely.
Christy Lee
Do you have the side by side with the plunger and the brush?
Bob Kevoian
I'm not sure what you're saying, but lovely decor. When you take it out, it opens up.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
And then when you put it back, it closes.
Josh Arnold
Very nice.
Tom Griswold
You actually keep it right there.
Bob Kevoian
I do.
Tom Griswold
The implication being you need it a lot.
Bob Kevoian
I put mine in the mantle.
Josh Arnold
Okay. Where's your plunger?
Bob Kevoian
In the garage. You know what?
Christy Lee
If you need it, you get it.
Josh Arnold
I don't want a garage.
Tom Griswold
I don't have a plunger.
Bob Kevoian
Embarrassed about a plunger?
Josh Arnold
Everybody poops.
Bob Kevoian
You live in fear. I don't want people to go.
Tom Griswold
I was at Tom's house.
Stephen Singer
Every.
Tom Griswold
He's got nine bathrooms. Everyone has a monogram plunger.
Bob Kevoian
No. You know what they say. I was at Tom's house. Don't go take a crap there because if you get it clogged up, you got to wait till it goes out.
Christy Lee
How embarrassing. You got to come out.
Tom Griswold
The type of guest I have would never.
Bob Kevoian
You got to go to the.
Josh Arnold
They don't clog toilets. They live in a lake.
Bob Kevoian
A hanguin dance to the garage to get you in the garage.
Josh Arnold
In the garage. There really is.
Tom Griswold
You're crazy. You are one crazy, Lou.
Bob Kevoian
You are one crazy.
Josh Arnold
He looked at us like we were all insane in the garage.
Stephen Singer
And he's.
Bob Kevoian
He's saying it like we're going to go. Oh, yes. That's where we should put our.
Josh Arnold
Oh, my gosh.
Bob Kevoian
We have been living wrong in the garage.
Tom Griswold
Supposed I could have like a rifle rack. A rifle rack and keep it in the living room. Do you hide it in a safe
Bob Kevoian
and lock it up?
Tom Griswold
You know, there's got to be a place where they have, you know, a rifle rack with like six plungers on it. That's funny.
Bob Kevoian
It's a rifle.
Tom Griswold
Some strip club.
Bob Kevoian
I don't have a fellow, let alone many rifles.
Josh Arnold
You guys keep your toilet brushes in the bathroom to require those go in the shed.
Bob Kevoian
Well, next thing you're going to tell me is that you keep your toilet paper in some sort of storage facility.
Josh Arnold
I bet you keep your toilet paper right next to the toilet, don't you?
Bob Kevoian
It's in the library.
Tom Griswold
You check it out.
Bob Kevoian
That's stupid. People come over, they see the toilet paper, they know you're pooping. What the hell? Aren't you embarrassed?
Josh Arnold
Coming up.
Tom Griswold
Coming up.
Bob Kevoian
Stop it.
Tom Griswold
You're getting crazier. Coming up, we have a food truck that is being banned by the state because of their slogan. We'll find out what that's all about. Plus, it's National Moon Day. We got a naked guy in the news. And then we have a powerful toy of the intimate variety for adults.
Josh Arnold
Is everybody okay?
Tom Griswold
Being publicly, publicly hidden, if you will, in a body part. That's all coming up from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Bob Kevoian

Christy Lee
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
Hello. There's Pat Godwin.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Chip.
Bob Kevoian
Hey, Pat. There's Josh Arnold.
Stephen Singer
Hi.
Bob Kevoian
There's Ace Cosby.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Lord, I'm down.
Josh Arnold
I got the blue.
Bob Kevoian
I got the blue so bad. Hello.
Tom Griswold
Tom got a blue.
Bob Kevoian
I got a blue.
Tom Griswold
Oh, thank you very much. Now, we have just completed a sports broadcast.
Stephen Singer
No.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
We have created it up and sent it right to the hall of Fame.
Tom Griswold
She's back. And he's back. Both the Pat and Christy gone.
Christy Lee
We were not on vacation together.
Bob Kevoian
Tell them the truth. Don't lie anymore. Like just one. One big coincidence, huh?
Tom Griswold
Christie's at the news desk. What's happening over there?
Christy Lee
Indiana officials have barred a food truck from an Indianapolis market over his tongue in cheek slogan, according to the indie star, Scott Sims, the owner of Smash Daddy's Burgers, Fries, Etc, has been a regular vendor at the State House market. But he was recently told by a state official that there have been complaints over the truck's tagline, you'll love our meat in your mouth.
Josh Arnold
That is. That's as innocuous as it's a wonderful slogan.
Christy Lee
As a result, he was informed he could no longer serve at the market.
Bob Kevoian
Mr. Speaker, this is an outrage.
Josh Arnold
And I don't believe this state official. I think the state official is the only one that's semi bothered by it. And even I'm gonna guess she isn't that bothered by it.
Bob Kevoian
And of course I'm going to vote. What about Mr. Spencer Waker? What about the children?
Christy Lee
The star. That he had not been given any prior indication that the slogan was an issue while the state later told the newspaper that no written complaints against Mr. Sims even exist.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Come on.
Christy Lee
The truck's exclusion could run afoul of our first amendment.
Josh Arnold
Don't eat there.
Christy Lee
Then the government cannot shut down speech unless it meets the high bar of one of the. Of its exemptions.
Bob Kevoian
Don't eat there. That way you won't be in line in front of me.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
So they're preventing the guy from parking the there and.
Christy Lee
Yeah. And I have actually been at events where the smash burger truck has been. It's burger and it's very good.
Tom Griswold
The smash Booger.
Bob Kevoian
Booger. Smash burger.
Tom Griswold
That only appealed to fourth. Fourth grade boys.
Bob Kevoian
Late at night, you know, you start to fall asleep. You start a little booger garden there on the wall.
Christy Lee
You know what I'm talking about?
Tom Griswold
Would you go see a band called booger garden?
Josh Arnold
Absolutely.
Christy Lee
Carolos Barum, communications director for the state's personnel department, said the Indiana state personnel department department, which runs the market, can modify or discontinue vendor participation as they see fit.
Bob Kevoian
Killjoy.
Tom Griswold
Killjoy.
Bob Kevoian
They rule with a velvet fist.
Christy Lee
Scott, you keep doing it. You make a great smash burger.
Josh Arnold
Next time I see you, no matter where I'm at, if no matter how recently I ate, I'm stopping and getting a burger.
Bob Kevoian
Darn right.
Christy Lee
Put your meat in my mouth.
Bob Kevoian
We've got a.
Tom Griswold
Well, no, that's from Christina.
Bob Kevoian
You can put your meat in Oliver mouth. We got a nice big parking space here for you. Come on out.
Tom Griswold
So many sort of wordplay slogans for even names of restaurants. What's the one your throat can't.
Bob Kevoian
No. Hor bath pizza.
Tom Griswold
No, your.
Stephen Singer
Your throat.
Tom Griswold
Your throat can't hold my throbbing wiener at place. What is that?
Bob Kevoian
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
Oddly enough, though, it was called
Bob Kevoian
your throat.
Josh Arnold
Family time hot dogs, which I thought was odd.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but that's their show.
Josh Arnold
Have a slogan
Bob Kevoian
on my tongue. I don't think you need throbbing in that. Just. Just your. Your.
Tom Griswold
There's a. There's one right near my house at that gas station just south of my place. There is a. A taco truck. And yeah, their Their motto is we like our tacos. No, no. We eat our tacos versus vertically. Yeah. Which is not wrong with that. Yeah, of course. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Wait a minute. Well, how else.
Josh Arnold
So does he hold vertical? The vertical taco is the slide.
Bob Kevoian
No, no, no, no. You have your taco horizontally for once. How about that? This way and this way. No, this way is how tacos come. If you know what I mean.
Josh Arnold
Right.
Tom Griswold
No, no, that's how. That's how Mrs. Taco comes.
Bob Kevoian
Yes.
Tom Griswold
When you.
Bob Kevoian
That's what I meant.
Tom Griswold
You eat the vertical taco.
Josh Arnold
Right, right, right.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Okay.
Josh Arnold
Good.
Christy Lee
All right.
Tom Griswold
See, the vertical taco would be a different thing.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that's the.
Tom Griswold
It would spill out. You see?
Christy Lee
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
Well, it happens.
Stephen Singer
That's fun.
Josh Arnold
But there are surgeries.
Tom Griswold
Your mouth's not your mouth. How about this one? Your mouth's not big enough to bite my wiener. These. Would these be okay?
Bob Kevoian
No, your throat can't hold. My wiener is throbbing.
Tom Griswold
My throbbing.
Bob Kevoian
No, you don't need to.
Christy Lee
Throbbing. Don't throb.
Tom Griswold
Is there. Is there such a thing as a vegetarian food truck?
Josh Arnold
Yes, of course there is tons. What makes.
Bob Kevoian
I can't stand it anymore.
Christy Lee
People should know this.
Tom Griswold
Let us. Let us toss your salad. Something that's pretty good. Lettuce. You know the word.
Bob Kevoian
Like he feels we're not laughing. So we're out clear on lettuce.
Tom Griswold
This is joke repair as a lettuce. Like.
Stephen Singer
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Because there's the whole restaurant chain. Lettuce entertain you. But there really is. There's like a. Is there a vegan taco truck?
Christy Lee
I'm sure.
Bob Kevoian
Well, sure. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. I mean, especially in places like Portland and.
Christy Lee
Right. California.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Wow.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Well, now I want that guy to put his meat in my mouth. See, I'm all ready for it.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Know.
Tom Griswold
Okay, well, so we'll see what happen.
Christy Lee
Maybe he's listening.
Bob Kevoian
Come on by.
Tom Griswold
Was it Smash Daddy's? Smash Daddy's Burgers. Sounds very good. Thank you.
Christy Lee
Smash Daddy's Burger.
Josh Arnold
You want some of that Daddy meat in your mouth?
Tom Griswold
You know, that would be.
Bob Kevoian
I like that.
Christy Lee
Now that is a problem.
Bob Kevoian
I think we should. This story. I don't think.
Tom Griswold
I don't think we're helping. We should because now people are going to think.
Bob Kevoian
I think what Josh is trying to illustrate is that it could always be worse.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
So just. Just be happy with. Let me put.
Tom Griswold
My throat can't hold my throbbing wiener. Is it worse?
Bob Kevoian
You don't need throbbing.
Stephen Singer
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Sorry.
Bob Kevoian
Chicks, right?
Josh Arnold
I mean.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
There is an argument to made now we don't think you're talking about your food when you say things like throbbing.
Bob Kevoian
Right, right.
Christy Lee
Not much. Food throbs.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I see.
Bob Kevoian
See the double on it would be. But.
Tom Griswold
But you. It plumps when you cook it, though.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I believe.
Bob Kevoian
Is that. That's fine.
Christy Lee
A little ballpark. Sure.
Tom Griswold
My wiener's so plump. Lump you can. So I can see. So this guy's got it right there at the edge, and we're taking it over the. Over the edge.
Christy Lee
He's doing a great. He's doing a fine job. Don't change.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Christy Lee
Don't change.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
He's got fries and everything.
Christy Lee
Yeah, he does.
Bob Kevoian
Delicious.
Tom Griswold
Well, I. I just think it's sad that the state has to step in here. Really. Come on. Especially when they have no evidence that anyone ever complained about it.
Josh Arnold
All right.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
All right.
Tom Griswold
What's coming up in the news, Christy?
Christy Lee
Coming up, we have a tattoo artist in the news for doing a. A stunt, if you will.
Tom Griswold
We have more like a stas.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Oh, so it was in the back.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
All right.
Bob Kevoian
Is it the Pink Panther mowing their yard? That's funny.
Christy Lee
We have a guy trapped in a portable toilet.
Josh Arnold
Oh, that can't be fun.
Christy Lee
No.
Josh Arnold
Is he. Is he at least above ground, as it were? Okay.
Christy Lee
He's not in it.
Bob Kevoian
Well, made a run of those.
Tom Griswold
This is. This is the one where they had to get. They had to use a bunch of tools to get him out.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
What happened here?
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Josh Arnold
All right, we'll find out.
Christy Lee
Yeah, he did he. Yeah. Well, we don't know exactly what happened, but they had to.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Christy Lee
Get him out.
Tom Griswold
There is a place. I forget what it's called. Their slogan. It's like Louie's something something, and you can't beat Louie's meat.
Josh Arnold
Oh, okay.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that was a. That was. I mean, that's. That's a little.
Josh Arnold
It's. It's suggestive. Sure, sure.
Bob Kevoian
I'm Louie. You can't beat my me.
Josh Arnold
I dare you to try
Bob Kevoian
anybody's name.
Tom Griswold
Ladies only.
Bob Kevoian
It's gonna be me.
Josh Arnold
You know what? Turns out I was wrong. Thank you, ladies.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, it's a lot better when someone else beats my meat.
Tom Griswold
Well, coming up, we also have in the news the Wizinator and a great refrigeration story.
Christy Lee
Yeah, A refrigerator couldn't get better.
Tom Griswold
I am very excited because I'm gonna to have. This is going to be a Chick McGee quiz associated with this.
Bob Kevoian
Is it about SM? I'm going to get a SMAG. I'm trying. I'm dying. I'm going to get a smag. Watch me.
Tom Griswold
That's a brand of refrigerators.
Bob Kevoian
Damn right it is.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Very good. These are the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Bob Kevoian

Hello.
Bob Kevoian
Hello. There's Pat Godwin.
Stephen Singer
Hey there, Chick.
Christy Lee
Huh?
Bob Kevoian
There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi.
Bob Kevoian
There's Ace cosby. I'm chick mcgee at the nhtta sports desk. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
A little surprise coming up in about 15 minutes.
Bob Kevoian
Stick around.
Tom Griswold
A good friend of the show is going to be calling us about something interesting going on in the news.
Bob Kevoian
Joe.
Tom Griswold
It's not going to be Joe Theisman football time. Sure, we can get, we can get Joe to call very soon.
Bob Kevoian
Football time. There's no offseason.
Tom Griswold
We do have a football related story
Bob Kevoian
kind of Here we go.
Tom Griswold
Coming up. I don't even think Christy knows which one I'm talking about.
Christy Lee
No.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Well, I don't want to give away the connection, but what do you, what do you feel like talking about over there?
Christy Lee
Let's talk about this. A Japanese company has developed a human sized refrigerator to help people combat the oppressive summer heat.
Bob Kevoian
Wow. A great idea whose time has come a Japanese refrigeration.
Christy Lee
Refrigeration?
Bob Kevoian
No, no.
Christy Lee
The refrigeration and vending machine manufacturer has created the do himon box, a one person cooling booth that maintains a temperature of 59 degrees Fahrenheit.
Tom Griswold
Now don't go laughing. This is important.
Josh Arnold
Important it is.
Christy Lee
When a person gets into the box, air has been chilled to around 40 degrees, blows out towards their head, neck, shoulders and back for instant relief.
Josh Arnold
You ever wonder what it was like to be in the morgue but still alive?
Tom Griswold
So if you've got someone who's massively overheated, you get in this thing. Keep reading.
Christy Lee
Says users can feel noticeably cooler in around five minutes and that after spending 10 minutes inside, it could relieve symptoms of heat exhaustion by rapidly lowering body temperature.
Josh Arnold
So they could have this at festivals and stuff.
Christy Lee
And yeah, the human refrigerator requires no installation work, can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Bob Kevoian
Huh.
Christy Lee
And is mounted on wheels so it can be moved around when needed. Standard model will set you back.
Bob Kevoian
I see. It's kind of like a Captain pike deal from Star Trek.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Christy Lee
Right, right.
Bob Kevoian
Kind of a cow head.
Tom Griswold
I mean, I went to that wedding with 400 people in a very, very hot Saturday. I would have loved to have had one of those things and go cool off.
Christy Lee
A standard model will set you back $9,326.25.
Tom Griswold
But they could have one. You could have it on site and if someone gets overheated, you could stick them in there.
Josh Arnold
That's the only application I see for this. I. I can't imagine.
Tom Griswold
Well, that's what it's for.
Josh Arnold
Well, they're making it sound like it's for. Yeah, like home use.
Christy Lee
Right. Like you're gonna have it in your backyard.
Stephen Singer
Right.
Bob Kevoian
Well, I'd like to see you run to the drugstore with your personal refrigeration unit in your car.
Tom Griswold
Now, the name is bad. And I've got a better idea for them.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, okay.
Tom Griswold
The name. What is it again? The Dohema.
Christy Lee
Hyman. H I E M O N Ah Doe is bad.
Tom Griswold
They should, they should recruit William the Refrigerator Parrot to be their spokesperson. Don't you think he's.
Josh Arnold
I don't because that's not.
Bob Kevoian
Disagree. Yes.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
And he is the only person I can think of. I don't think he is Refrigerator as a nickname. And I'm not sure if he's alive. I think he might be.
Christy Lee
I don't know.
Bob Kevoian
I don't want to bet my life on it.
Josh Arnold
I'm sure they could wheel him to the cooling pod and. Yeah, he could hobble in there with his one remaining foot.
Bob Kevoian
He might have the shoulder sugar.
Tom Griswold
I don't. I, I assume he stole.
Josh Arnold
You've answered your own. Why don't they have him do this?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
You think he, he is.
Josh Arnold
He is not top of mind.
Bob Kevoian
He's still alive.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Hey, who hasn't listened to the super bowl shuffle lately?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Christy Lee
He's 63 years of age. He is still alive. 63.
Bob Kevoian
That's not bad.
Tom Griswold
He's one of the. Am I correct in saying that he's one of the few defensive. He was very lineman that's ever, that's ever scored a touchdown.
Bob Kevoian
He's very.
Tom Griswold
In a Super Bowl.
Bob Kevoian
I think he might be the only one. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Remember the, Remember the fridge?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, sure.
Tom Griswold
Well, see, I, I, So obviously I'm right.
Bob Kevoian
No, no, no. If you have to, you make a comment and you. Hey, everybody, remember that, right? You know, you remember that. That right?
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Tom Griswold
So if they came out with one of these in the United States. And they came on TV and goes, hi, I'm William the Refrigerator Perry. We've developed the human refrigerator. And at your next event, bring this to make sure nobody passes out.
Josh Arnold
I don't know, dude. I don't think he's the right person.
Bob Kevoian
No.
Josh Arnold
If their celebrity budget is $70, maybe Fatty Arbuckle. I mean, you could get LL Cool J. You could get. Have any. It doesn't have to be ice cube. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Iced tea.
Josh Arnold
Right.
Bob Kevoian
Any of the ices
Josh Arnold
vanilla is going to be cheaper than ice cube.
Bob Kevoian
Vanilla ice is more popular right now.
Josh Arnold
He could look at it and go, there's pods out there. This cool.
Stephen Singer
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
Then William the Refrigerator Perry, his time has come and gone.
Tom Griswold
I say, no, that's like it's time to. Time for. I think time to bring the fridge back.
Bob Kevoian
Why can't we get Teddy Roosevelt to endorse this?
Christy Lee
Who.
Bob Kevoian
What.
Tom Griswold
What's the fridge doing these days?
Christy Lee
I don't know. Retired, maybe Enjoying his life.
Bob Kevoian
I'm just guessing. He's probably being looked after. I hope working at Lowe's.
Josh Arnold
I imagine there may be dialysis or something.
Bob Kevoian
I. I hope so. I'm sure he's still not autonomous, if you will. I hope he's some help in some way.
Tom Griswold
Big man, you see?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, he was awesome. That was a fun thing.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, it was crazy athletic.
Tom Griswold
That's one of the great nicknames in the history of the NFL.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, it's good.
Christy Lee
Yeah, it's good.
Tom Griswold
I mean, if. I don't know, it was a little
Bob Kevoian
bit too easy, though. The refrigerator.
Tom Griswold
Well, he'd been that since Kyle. That had always been his nickname, even in college. See, I. I thought you'd enjoy that because you're such a big NFL. NFL fan. If he'd been a redskin, you'd been. You would have been all over this.
Bob Kevoian
When he was a youngster, he was Icebox Perry when he was in the
Christy Lee
football tie in that you were talking about.
Tom Griswold
No, I've got a much, much more interesting.
Bob Kevoian
I'm saving that way.
Christy Lee
I'm. I am looking and I see.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I've got a great NFL. It's the. My NFL tie in coming up is going to be in quiz form.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, all right.
Tom Griswold
For Chick McGee.
Stephen Singer

Tom Griswold
Yeah. No, you can guess for the rest
Josh Arnold

Tom Griswold
I don't think it's.
Bob Kevoian
What's the old joke?
Tom Griswold
Guess at home.
Bob Kevoian
You mean. You mean Steven Spielberg? No, Elliot Spielberg, the guy. Remember that, Joe?
Tom Griswold

Bob Kevoian

Josh Arnold
No, I think he hasn't been famous for 41 years.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, hasn't. He did do commercials during the. But I think it was like McDonald's because they were. McDonald's is all about Chicago.
Tom Griswold
I venture to say that if you. If you did a quiz on sports nicknames we do have, I bet he'd be right there on time.
Bob Kevoian
I have not been doing this for, like, the last 10 days. I saw it last week. It's the top 16 sports nicknames in the history of the world. And I knew you'd start salivating.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I can't. I can. I cannot. Wait.
Bob Kevoian
I know. Maybe we'll do this if things get slow. So that means pick it up so we don't have to do it.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Tom Griswold
We're coming right back with our special guest and an interesting story about something that's getting more and more common in contemporary culture. And by culture, I mean something you guys are fairly not aware of. Be these are the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Bob Kevoian
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom show. In the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios at the news desk, it's Christy Lee.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
There's Pat Godwin. Hi, there. There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hey, Chickster.
Bob Kevoian
Hi. There's Ace Cosby.
Josh Arnold
Howdy.
Bob Kevoian
I'm Chick. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Chick McGee. For this, for this next story, I've asked for a professional consultant, all right. To get on board to help us out with this. And if I'm not mistaken, we're going to be joined by. Is this Mr. Singer? Stephen Singer from I Hate Stevensinger.com, the Great Jeweler. Stephen, can you hear me, sir?
Stephen Singer
I can. Good morning, everybody.
Bob Kevoian
Hi there, Stephen.
Tom Griswold
How are you, Stephen?
Stephen Singer
I'm good. How's everybody doing?
Tom Griswold
Good. Are you getting that heavy smoke still in Philadelphia?
Stephen Singer
Yes, the smoke today, actually, it cleared up because it rained yesterday, but the smoke was really, really bad. The last few days it looked like it was cloudy and just absolutely horrible. Absolutely horrible. But we're cleared up today. Today's nice and sunny, no smoke, beautiful weather.
Tom Griswold
Good, good. Well, first of all, a personal thank you, Stephen. Saved my rear end recently. Much appreciated, sir. Closed circuit.
Stephen Singer
Thank you, Mr. That stream worked out for you.
Tom Griswold
Oh, my God. Steven Singer is a distinguished jeweler and we have this story coming out of the BBC, and I want your opinion after we hear the story. Go ahead, Christy.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Jewelers are apparently promoting a new trend for women marking a New chapter in the. In their life called the divorce ring. Florida based blogger Deb Marino told the BBC that she had the diamond from her engagement ring set in a new ring with an added sapphire to represent her daughter. The 34 year old says she wears the ring on her middle finger as a statement.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, the trouble with the middle finger, I get it. But with her daughters on there, that's kind of. Have you experienced this, Stephen, this divorce ring thing?
Stephen Singer
We have. I've made divorce rings and I've made, let's call them cheaters rings where women have found their significant other cheating on them. We've had several funny things that, that's happened over the years. But listen, you know, people fall in love and people fall out of love and it happens. What are you gonna do?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And I read deeper into the article and it seems often that they're, they're taking the existing ring and taking like this, taking parts of it.
Christy Lee
Yeah, they redesign them. Of course. I've done that.
Tom Griswold
So it's not the same ring.
Christy Lee
Yeah, absolutely.
Stephen Singer
Well, people, some people think it has like the heebie jeebies. In other words, they just don't want to have anything to do with it. Right. They get rid of it.
Tom Griswold
Bad mojo.
Stephen Singer
Some people think, listen, this has a lot of intrinsic value and we don't want to lose that value. So they'll reset it into a pendant or just some other piece of jewelry. Because after all, the most expensive part of a diamond ring is the diamond. So if you can take it and reuse it and put it into something else, that's always nice. Sometimes we'll take the metal and the gold, remelt it and just remake something completely different out of it. Sometimes I'll even put it away for a daughter or a son, somebody that's going to get used, get married somewhere in the future. It was still their, their engagement ring. And you know, that's kind of nice, but not, not for a plug. But I'll tell you one of the things that we do, Stevens, if you get the Steven Singer love guarantee, I think, I don't know, I could be full of crap. But I believe that we're the only jeweler in America that does this. So we guarantee the diamond, we guarantee the ring itself and the relationship. So if something happens in relationship, you can bring it back. How do you like them? Apple.
Tom Griswold
Oh, wow. You could bring back, you bring back the ring. Not the, not the person, not the person, not the person.
Josh Arnold
Just the ring.
Stephen Singer
No finger. Don't cut it off while the finger still on the fingering like that. But you can actually bring that back. And the law in most states. I know it is in Pennsylvania and in most states in the United States, is you get engaged and you don't consummate. In other words, you don't get married. The ring goes back to the guy. Unless. Unless it was for a birthday or Christmas or some anniversary. That's considered a gift.
Josh Arnold
Gotcha.
Stephen Singer
And the girl gets to keep it. But. But once you get married, it's property of the woman, so she can sell it, do whatever, trade it in, do whatever she wants with it.
Josh Arnold
I mean, ethically, she shouldn't, though. She should give it back to the man.
Stephen Singer
Right?
Josh Arnold
I agree.
Bob Kevoian
Well, I'm a man.
Josh Arnold
That was meant as a joke.
Stephen Singer
I can't answer. I would just ask, what have you guys done in the past? You know, it's. It's what, you know, I don't know exactly what the thing is. Like I said, I'm biased because I'm a guy. But I could tell you that very, very few women ever give it back, even if that is the protocol. And they're just so happy at that point to say, see you, bye. Now, we did make. When Tiger woods had all those girls, we participated in a contest for the Tiger woods girlfriend contest, and they made it with black diamonds. So we put a big black diamond in the middle of the ring. And that was what we used for that situation because everybody knew they weren't going to get a real ring, even. Even though he indicated that maybe he would get engaged to some of these girls, but never did.
Tom Griswold
Now, what other creative options have they done with. So is the. Let me back up here. The engagement ring is typically the larger one, right?
Stephen Singer
Yes, exactly. Yeah. The wedding band is usually a solid band that goes all the way around. That signifies that's actually the wedding ring. That's actually the important part.
Christy Lee
But your lady doesn't have. Her engagement ring is a band, right? She has like. She has like a double band situation, which is very unique and very cool.
Stephen Singer
Yes. You can have a. You can have the engagement ring. You typically has a large center diamond. And then the wedding band can be with or without stones. It goes all the way around the finger, usually worn on the ring finger on your left hand because there's a vein that goes right from there to your heart.
Tom Griswold
And is that what that. Yeah, that's the story.
Stephen Singer
That's the significance.
Christy Lee
You didn't know that?
Josh Arnold
No, I didn't know engagement rings were bigger than wedding rings.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Stephen Singer
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Here's my engagement ring. And this is my wedding band.
Josh Arnold
It doesn't make any sense at all.
Tom Griswold
It's a tradition.
Bob Kevoian
Josh, go. Josh, go.
Josh Arnold
They messed it up from the get go.
Tom Griswold
Christy, what did you make out of your wife? One of your rings?
Christy Lee
One of the diamond.
Tom Griswold
Oh, wait, no, wait. She's cringing.
Christy Lee
Stephen, I was engaged and never got married. And that diamond I gave to my sister, who put it in a pendant. One of the other diamonds I had reset into a different ring that I still have. I never really wear it. And then, let's see.
Tom Griswold
Sorry. Sorry. Stephen, this may be a long show.
Christy Lee
One might have gotten turned in for a bigger one.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Is that right?
Tom Griswold
No bad mojo there?
Christy Lee
No.
Tom Griswold
Well, Stephen, thanks for your time. Now the wedding season is up and running, I guess is this. Obviously you guys have different. There's a seasonality to the jewelry business.
Stephen Singer
Oh, absolutely, absolutely. But you know, it. The trend is so popular now that people get engaged and married all year round. But spring and fall are the two most popular times to get engaged other than the actual engagement ring itself. Christmas and Valentine's Day are number one. But weddings, I should say, are spring and fall. That is the number one time. But we have weddings 12 months out of the year now. People are in love all the time. And also, as you probably know, anytime you get a diamond, at least from us, it's always worth what you paid for it. So you can take it, trade it then towards a bigger or different dime. And so God forbid, if you did get a relationship that didn't work much like Christy did, you can get it into something else. But I always suggest staying married. It's much less expensive.
Christy Lee
That's good advice.
Stephen Singer
That is the better thing. And as Tom told me one time, you can get the greatest hooker in a mate for so much less money than. And you know, you should really buy cash.
Bob Kevoian
That whole thing. So true.
Tom Griswold
I think misquoting me hire a house
Stephen Singer
and give her half your money.
Bob Kevoian
Wise. Wise words, Stephen.
Tom Griswold
Hey, thank you, Stephen Singer Jewel, as you'll find about I hate stevensinger.com.
Christy Lee
love you, Stephen.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Stephen, thank you so much.
Josh Arnold
Take care, man.
Tom Griswold
Very funny.
Christy Lee
I think wearing a divorce ring on your middle finger is kind of a tacky thing.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I agree. G. But I mean, this article is from the BBC.
Christy Lee
Why not?
Tom Griswold
No, I'm just saying.
Josh Arnold
Cause divorce.
Bob Kevoian
I've heard that. Yeah, yeah. They don't know what's out there until they do.
Tom Griswold
You know, I'm with Josh though. I think a lot of guys probably don't understand sort of the tradition and the protocol and that the engagement ring is the big one.
Christy Lee
Right. And then the wedding ring is a smaller band.
Josh Arnold
No. Yeah, I had no idea.
Christy Lee
And then there's the anniversary band.
Tom Griswold
What? Wait, hang on. Stand back.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
What?
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
I think it can be made that you waited, you know, quite a while to get married. You know, to each his own. Maybe you might already be need. Anniversary band, huh?
Christy Lee
Well, I don't. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
When I got married, what was it, a couple months ago?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And Kelly and I've been together for 15 years, have two kids. You know, as my late mother would say, it's about time.
Bob Kevoian
We were on the beach closing the barn door.
Tom Griswold
We were on the beach and it was pouring rain. So when it came time for the ring exchange, they had to say to her, can you. Can you hold the umbrella? Because I had to get the ring out of my pocket. And oh, boy, I will. But getting married in the rain is cool because it's. They say that you're tying the knot, and a wet knot is harder to
Christy Lee
untie just to be good luck.
Tom Griswold
There you go. Very good.
Josh Arnold
Good luck. That's what mothers tell their crying bride.
Christy Lee
Yeah, exactly. When your wedding photos are ruined because
Josh Arnold
you're saying, get over it, you spoil brat, they say, no, no, this is good.
Bob Kevoian
Women pray for a wet wedding, right?
Tom Griswold
I think it's.
Bob Kevoian
Women pay for a wet wedding.
Tom Griswold
I think that we need to educate John. I think Josh is one of the things you've missed it. I know you've had a very fine education and you've learned, but this is for the insult. No, no, no, no. But there are certain things that Josh just doesn't know, like the engagement ring thing. And I think a lot of guys don't know that or change for a 20. There needs to be. There needs to be a YouTube video on. Oh, I'm sure there are traditions on videos.
Josh Arnold
I know a lot about relationships. I know very little about marriage in terms of the ceremonies. And where did.
Bob Kevoian
And I have not traditions ever gotten the definitive answer on there. Where did the. Nine weeks of salary or three months of salary minus your car payment. That's how much the engagement ring.
Josh Arnold
That was one brand advertisement.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I believe that's. That came from. No, that came from the Howard Halls of Madison Avenue.
Bob Kevoian
But that really caught on, though. Am I not right? Oh, yeah, sure did.
Stephen Singer
Yes.
Tom Griswold
What the hell?
Christy Lee
Who the hell's idea was that was an advertising.
Bob Kevoian
Was it two months salary?
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, you doing okay in your life? Well, here's gum. I'm Gonna hit you right in the balls. I could never do that.
Christy Lee
Two months salary.
Bob Kevoian
No, you can't afford crackers. See that? See that, kids? He was waiting.
Tom Griswold
Josh, I can say you're. You're kind of. I know. You're so sincere, and I love that about you. You really don't know a lot of this stuff, and I think it's so. I didn't know a lot of this stuff.
Josh Arnold
No, I've talked some of this stuff with women. I've had relationships. I remember one. This was early. I was in my. I don't know, mid-20s, and we were talking about getting serious, and. And she said that she always liked silver, and so she wanted just a silver band. And I said, oh, what about white gold? And she goes, well, white gold essentially looks like silver, so just give me silver. It's way cheaper. Cheaper. And I think my dad at the time goes, yeah, you need to marry her.
Bob Kevoian
That's right.
Josh Arnold
He's not wrong.
Christy Lee
Well, here's what I found out about white gold, because my wedding band's white gold. Apparently, white gold is just something they put over yellow gold because it's coming off.
Josh Arnold
Oh, really?
Christy Lee
Yeah. True. Yeah.
Stephen Singer
See?
Christy Lee
See how it's, like, coming off?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, you're right.
Christy Lee
Yeah. So it has to be recoded or something, I guess.
Stephen Singer
I don't know.
Tom Griswold
I don't know either.
Christy Lee
Did your girlfriend pick out her ring or did you pick it out?
Tom Griswold
Come on. Boy, that's a dumb question.
Bob Kevoian
Are you.
Tom Griswold
Do you know me at all?
Josh Arnold
What do most women want?
Christy Lee
That's a good question.
Josh Arnold
I think it'd be. I think it'd be great to go pick out the ring together, but that's a.
Christy Lee
That's what a lot of people are doing now.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I would advise that, certainly. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Or because have a.
Tom Griswold
Make sure they get a friend of hers. They want to get something they want.
Stephen Singer
Want. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Let's get this right.
Christy Lee
Well, some people will get just a regular prong setting with the. The size. Like if she says, I want an emerald cut diamond, do you know what that means?
Josh Arnold
Yeah. No.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, No, I know how to say that.
Christy Lee
Okay, so you could get an emerald. You could get just an emerald cut diamond in a. In a basic prong setting. And then when you give it to her, say, we can have this reset into anything you want. So that way you get to surprise nicer.
Josh Arnold
It's. It's amazing. Minute four is when the panic attack sets in. That's. That's how long I could do any wedding talk.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I can Sell. Josh needs a shot.
Bob Kevoian
What's the 14 carats thing?
Tom Griswold
Is it always 14 carats?
Christy Lee
Well, there you can get 18 karat gold. You get 24 karat gold.
Stephen Singer
It gets.
Tom Griswold
It gets more expensive.
Christy Lee
The gold type. Yes.
Bob Kevoian
What?
Christy Lee
Yes.
Josh Arnold
I never knew that.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Stephen Singer
That.
Tom Griswold
You've been married a couple of times, right?
Stephen Singer
Yeah, twice.
Christy Lee
Did you buy rings? Rings?
Tom Griswold
I bought rings.
Bob Kevoian
I got her a beer tab thing I gave her.
Josh Arnold
Isn't that lovely? Yes, I bought rings.
Christy Lee
Did you pick them out or did she.
Bob Kevoian
She did, yeah.
Josh Arnold
More.
Bob Kevoian
I know Pat, though, I don't.
Christy Lee
How did.
Bob Kevoian
How do you. How do you conduct commerce?
Christy Lee
I don't.
Bob Kevoian
I don't. Yeah. And you wear it like a badge. And you.
Tom Griswold
I Pat, if you get married again, you've got that buddy. That's as the pawn shop. I bet they're loaded with them. You know they are. They have a lot of them there.
Christy Lee
Yeah. That's sad.
Tom Griswold
They don't have to know, right?
Bob Kevoian
Well, they find out.
Josh Arnold
Would a woman like. Like a $60 ring and then I. And then the rest in cash and she can do whatever she wants with it.
Christy Lee
Marry her if she says that.
Bob Kevoian
Thank you very much. I think you try to stay away from the term. The rest in cash. Probably, but who am I to give advice?
Tom Griswold
What's coming up, Christy?
Christy Lee
Coming up, we have train surfing. We have butt stuff. We have
Tom Griswold
now from your here. It's now called Butt Fun.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that's what happened to us the other day.
Tom Griswold
I didn't hear that on the radio.
Christy Lee
I didn't hear that either. Butt fun we have, but fun.
Tom Griswold
Coming up again. Again, it's the. The one we had.
Christy Lee
I don't know how fun it is.
Tom Griswold
Well, last week it was a fake fish. Oh, and we learned a little bit about. About the doors. Is it the dorsal fin that. That splays out and only goes one way? Well, we can review that for you.
Christy Lee
No, that's okay.
Tom Griswold
Okay, thank you very much. Coming up. That and other delights. Right now, you may have noticed this. If you're buying anything, groceries, insurance, gas, things are getting a little bit pricey out there. You may be saying to yourself, well, I don't know, I could maybe get some of the equity in my house. Should I call American Financing to refinance and pay off, for example, this credit card debt, then you second guess yourself to go away. I guess the mortgage rates are up too, huh? But I'll tell you what. Here's what's going on. You can still find yourself with a great lower mortgage payment if you do a refi, and you do it the right way. This is what they specialize in at American Financing. Right now, their average client is saving about 800 bucks on month by taking advantage of the equity in their house. What I'm talking about is the simple fact that most houses, your home may well be worth a lot more than it was when you purchased it. If you bought it five years ago, it's probably gone up 30, 40%. If you bought it 10 years ago, it may well be worth double what it was or more. It obviously depends on where you live and what's going on with your circumstance. But it may be worth looking into doing a refi and grabbing some of that equity and using it to either pay off some hefty credit card debt or, or get a new kitchen, whatever it might be, that money is yours and you can take advantage of it by accessing it through a refi. American Financing, this is what they do. They also do mortgages from the ground up, but right now they're specializing in refi. And get the details. Give them a call, 866-889-2611. It's easier to remember this American financing.net tell them the Bob and Tom show sent you by going american financing.net boband tom that's american financing.net nmls182334 nmlsconsumeraccess.org average savings based on borrowers who save over 200.

Tom Griswold
Lucas. Lucas Waterfield was our guest last week.

Tom Griswold
And Lucas has a very special background because he, he has an illness, I guess. A condition, I guess.
Bob Kevoian
Really?
Tom Griswold
How do you. I don't want to.
Josh Arnold
Cerebral palsy.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but he's great. He's super funny.
Josh Arnold
We didn't think he wouldn't be great because. Yes. See, this is. This is.
Christy Lee
No, no.
Tom Griswold
This is your. You're tripping on your tongue.
Bob Kevoian
No, no, let me. No mistake. You're the one messing.
Josh Arnold
The harder Tom tries not to offend, the more he offends.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, sorry.
Bob Kevoian
Absolutely.
Tom Griswold
Lucas was super cool, really nice, and it just. If you. If you have some spare time, check out the video of Lucas on our show. Really funny.
Josh Arnold
I would just. Listen. He's on hard to look at.
Christy Lee
Oh, my God.
Tom Griswold
Thank you. Thank you, Josh, for now making me look less dick like and you more real distraction.
Josh Arnold

Tom Griswold
Okay. He was great.
Josh Arnold
He's a great guy.
Tom Griswold
There's a lot of fun stuff on the website and we're making improvements all the time, especially with the vip. Check that out. Okay. No, Chrissy. Christy. I know, I know. I'm supposed to get to today in history.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
But before I do, I know how much you. Part of the job that you don't like, of course, is you have to do obituary obituaries.
Josh Arnold
What do you thought that's her favorite thing in life.
Bob Kevoian
Loves obituaries. Good morning, Grim Reaper. Hey, guess who died.
Christy Lee
Oh, my favorite thing. I just.
Tom Griswold
Christy, I'm going to read a little. A little obituary for you. One of my favorites.
Bob Kevoian
Walt Whitman.
Tom Griswold
Hal Williams, born Hell. Roy. Candace Williams.
Bob Kevoian
His first name's Hal Rose.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. H A L R O Y. Hellroy.
Bob Kevoian
Candace.
Tom Griswold
He was 91 years old.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
A Buckeye from Columbus, Ohio. He became famous as an actor, of course. He was the one of the leads in Private Benjamin. I know Al Williams is among the Waltons.
Josh Arnold
What do we have here?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, terrific.
Christy Lee
It was a guest spot.
Bob Kevoian
You know how Williams has said that guest spot on the Walton was a
Tom Griswold
little uncomfortable African American gent, but which is significant because he, of course, was in the movie Hardcore in this famous scene, one of my favorite.
Christy Lee
George C. Scott.
Tom Griswold
George C. Scott. Playing a guy pretending to be a pornographic film producer in search of his daughter. It's an interesting film. And this is. This is the scene. I. I have the audio for you.
Josh Arnold
I'm Dick Black. You're doing a porno movie, right?
Stephen Singer
Right.
Josh Arnold
Then I'm the man for you.
Bob Kevoian
Well, I'm glad to meet you, Mr. Black, but I'm afraid you're not exactly the type we're looking for.
Josh Arnold
You mean because I'm black. No, just not the type. What do you mean not the type? Man, don't you know who I am? I'm Big Dick Black. I've done more porno movies than you ever saw. I work with Harry Reams, Johnny Y.
Tom Griswold
Not the type.
Josh Arnold
I'm a woman's dream.
Bob Kevoian
I'm sorry, Mr. Black, I'm sure you're
Josh Arnold
very good, but at the moment I
Tom Griswold
just don't have anything for you.
Bob Kevoian
If something comes up, I'll be happy
Stephen Singer
to give you a call.
Josh Arnold
I knew this was a scam. I knew this was a scam.
Tom Griswold
What a. What a movie. And I told the story. I'll tell it real quick again. When Bob and I were roommates in our early radio days and we had this really cool four track, one way, four track recorder. And we would tape all kinds of stuff and we put. We. This was the era of the answering machine. Machine, sure, you know, the classic answering machine. I miss those days. And we would always put things on the answering machine. So when you'd call us up, you would hear something much like that. So that was on our answering machine and we would do it. So we'd leave it on there for a day. Then we would go into work and there was a kind of a shy young lady that was our receptionist and we'd always have her call our phone to see what was going on. That was on there one day and my mom called. Called. I remember her mess. I wish I had had a tape of this. Well, I think I've got the right.
Bob Kevoian
I was trying to get a hold
Tom Griswold
of Tom and by the way, that's an edited version of the Big Dick Black. Yeah, there's a. There's another couple lines in there that are very good. I'm sorry. Now it's time for today in history.
Bob Kevoian
History.
Tom Griswold
Today in history was on the state that Sitting Bull surrendered to the U. S army in 1881.
Christy Lee
Was he sitting when he did it?
Stephen Singer
No.
Bob Kevoian
Did you say Sitting?
Christy Lee
Yes, Sitting.
Tom Griswold
Sitting Bull.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Tom Griswold
His name never got the kind of the like. Like the fame that Geronimo or at least the great man Sitting Bull. This is an odd thing Peter Ashley Asher has. There's a great documentary about Peter Asher out there. You may know him as the film. The. Excuse me, the. The producer of such great albums and a lot of great artists. Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor. Oh, and many more.
Christy Lee
And familiar with his work.
Tom Griswold
And then Peter and Gordon was the band.
Christy Lee
Oh, okay.
Tom Griswold
Lock me away. That guy. His sister is Jane Asher.
Christy Lee
She was a model, wasn't she.
Tom Griswold
She's a great actress. Still is. She's in a terrific movie.
Josh Arnold
She.
Tom Griswold
She's in lots of movies. But you. Did you ever see Death at a Funeral? The British one?
Josh Arnold
Sure, yeah.
Tom Griswold
Great.
Christy Lee
The only one to see.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah. That's a. Anyways, it was on this date in Beatles history in 1968. She announced that her engagement to Paul McCartney was off. She did it on live TV, surprising many, including Paul McCartney.
Bob Kevoian
It's off.
Tom Griswold
It's off. She loves you. No, no, no.
Christy Lee
When you take the tour in Liverpool. Not Liverpool, in. In London. They go by her house where she lived, where Paul was courting her at the time. They.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Have a nice little story about that and about how she broke his heart.
Tom Griswold
And I think that's where that. The piano there. He. And they had a piano in the basement. Lena wrote a bunch of songs there.
Christy Lee
They point that out.
Tom Griswold
There's a documentary about Peter Asher right now. That's really good. Anyway, I'm sorry. Back to today in history. 1969. We talked about the.
Josh Arnold
This.
Tom Griswold
The lunar module landed on the surface of the moon.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
And got gas.
Tom Griswold
And Neil Armstrong's first words were. What's the WI fi password here?
Christy Lee
It landed at 4, 17 and 40 seconds in the evening. And then Neil Armstrong's first steps were at 10:56 with 15 and 15 seconds pm so they just sat six hours.
Bob Kevoian
For six hours until they could get out.
Josh Arnold
Huh. Have you heard the unedited version?
Christy Lee
No.
Josh Arnold
His first words were my gosh, the earth is flat. But they.
Bob Kevoian
They've cut that out of again, huh?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Happy birthday. Alexander the Great. Did he give himself that name?
Josh Arnold
I don't think so.
Tom Griswold
Oh, someone else called him that.
Josh Arnold
That's my. That's my theory. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Didn't he kill one of his friends with a javelin by mistake?
Bob Kevoian
I don't know. No, that was Alexander not so great.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. That was Alexander the Clumsy.
Bob Kevoian
Don't get anything sharp next to him. He's a man Mess.
Tom Griswold
Happy birthday. 1919. Sir Edmund Hillary. Of course. The.
Josh Arnold
Lock him up.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. Who was I believe carried to the summit of Everest by 10ignorade. Do any. Just a cursory glance at what actually happened.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
It was all Sherpa, baby.
Tom Griswold
This isn't a good one. Natalie Wood.
Josh Arnold
Well, she's a great actress. She's to be celebrated, I guess. A sad wind.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Splendor in the grass.
Christy Lee
What really happened that night?
Tom Griswold
She sank like a Natalie Brick. Happy birthday. Here's this guy's still around. Thank God. Carlos Santana
Bob Kevoian
Shama.
Tom Griswold
One of the Greats. I think one of the great moments in the movie Woodstock, the Santana, the great song.
Bob Kevoian
I don't know, man.
Tom Griswold
Oh, Soul sacrifice.
Josh Arnold
You know, that's how I feel too, with you on that. I wish.
Tom Griswold
The drum solo and soul sacrifice.
Josh Arnold
I appreciate it, but I also just don't care.
Bob Kevoian
I liked somebody backstage, said, carlos, spend some time. And he took it seriously. And just
Josh Arnold
that Rob Thomas collab did him no favors because that was played every two minutes.
Tom Griswold
That's a great song.
Josh Arnold
It was just oversaturated.
Bob Kevoian
Seven minutes.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Well, it's a hot one.
Christy Lee
I love that song.
Tom Griswold
I do, too. Okay, let's do a different Carlos. Friend of the show. Carlos Aliz. Rocky.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, he's good.
Tom Griswold
He's does. He did the voice of the Taco Bell dog for a while. I'll tell you what. In next. Next hour, we'll play a little piece from Carlos that he did on our show. Very funny comedian. If you ever get a chance, go see him live. He's got one of the funniest football bits I've ever seen. Scene.
Bob Kevoian
Certainly.
Josh Arnold
I saw an obituary from yesterday. Did you guys not see it?
Christy Lee
What?
Josh Arnold
Freddie Cannon.
Bob Kevoian
I did see that and I kept it to myself.
Tom Griswold
Freddy Boom boom cannon.
Bob Kevoian
Right.
Josh Arnold
91.
Tom Griswold
I read the obituary. Said he never sang a ballad.
Bob Kevoian
Palisade Park.
Christy Lee
He did that.
Tom Griswold
He did that.
Bob Kevoian
Most aggressive in the history of recorded music.
Josh Arnold
Critics called him insistent. Yeah, great rating.
Bob Kevoian
Loud and obnoxious. He was 91.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, man. Okay, this is due to. These are all too depressing. Let's get here. Oh, here's a good one. Sandra. Oh, she's in one of my favorite movies. Sideways. Oh, Sandra O's was. She's been on Grey's Anatomy forever. As far as I know.
Josh Arnold
She had Killing Eve.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, very much so. If. Yeah, yeah. If you haven't seen Killing Jody Comer,
Josh Arnold
she's a good actor.
Bob Kevoian
Give that. Give that chance. It's pretty good. I think I should watch. Yeah, it's pretty good.
Tom Griswold
And that was, by the way, that's also the nickname of Sandra Day o'. Connor.
Bob Kevoian
Killing Eve.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. No, Sandra. Oh, Omar Epps.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
He won the Mike Tomlin lookalike contest.
Josh Arnold
Oh, he can play Mike Tomlin for sure.
Tom Griswold
Looks just like him. Oh, then you know who this is. Judy Greer.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Yeah, I like her.
Tom Griswold
She's like, always sort of like the second banana in every rom com. Kind of.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, she's good.
Tom Griswold
Terrific. Yeah. And. And. And very attractive. And happy birthday. Giselle Bundchon. You know, that is Brady's ex, Jizzy Got that, um, lot on her last name.
Christy Lee
Now she's married to some Jiu Jitsu guy.
Josh Arnold
His religion has nothing to do.
Bob Kevoian
Top three. RB. RB? The Fs, right. Oh, Giselle, Victor Posh and.
Tom Griswold
Ah.
Bob Kevoian
Who's the third boy?
Tom Griswold
Give that some thought.
Bob Kevoian
It could be Sandra.
Tom Griswold
In classical history, it would have to be the woman that got the king to be dethroned. What was her name? Wallace Simpson or something.
Bob Kevoian
Evidently, she had a. Knew her way around a. Yeah, yeah. It was like a washing machine, if that tells you anything.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Coming up. Okay.
Bob Kevoian
That's right. Unbelievable. He found that.
Tom Griswold
Coming up.
Bob Kevoian
Of course I'm quitting.
Tom Griswold
Who wants to be king when I can? When this divorcee rocks?
Bob Kevoian
If I'm gonna be king, I said I'm gonna be thinking about it.
Tom Griswold
Coming up, we have, once again, things that should not be going into certain orifices in the news in public.
Bob Kevoian
You wouldn't think we'd have to make a list. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And we'll have to tell Christy about the one from last week that she missed. Thank you very much. These are the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Bob Kevoian
More of the show is on the way. You can find us on X at Bob and Tom or you can email us at Bob and Tom. Bob and Tom dot com. Welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Christy Lee at the news desk.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
There's Pat Godwin.
Stephen Singer
Hey, Chick.
Bob Kevoian
Hi, Pat. There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi there.
Bob Kevoian
Hello. There's Ace Cosby.
Josh Arnold
Howdy.
Bob Kevoian
Howdy do. I'm Chick McGee. And here's Lou Rawls. As long as you live.
Christy Lee
Oh, that's smooth, baby.
Bob Kevoian
Oh.
Tom Griswold
Ah. Thank you very much.
Josh Arnold
You're welcome.
Tom Griswold
July 20th, the birthday of, among others, Carlos, Alice, Rocky, comedian.
Bob Kevoian
Do you ever have a friend who has a birthday on that day and you can't remember who it is? What I'm having that day today. It's somebody's birthday day in my life, and I can't remember.
Josh Arnold
Oh, and it's not your phone doesn't.
Bob Kevoian
My phone doesn't.
Josh Arnold
Oh, boy.
Bob Kevoian
Show it. Christie's all set. It's not hers. Okay.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Tom Griswold
We can move forward then.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, perfect.
Tom Griswold
Carlos Alezraki. Happy birthday, Carlos. He was on our show. He was. You'll probably know him from Reno911, maybe. Among other things. Fine actor, Very funny guy. We were talking about the movies, and here. Well, here's what he did. My favorite Gene Wilder movie is Young Frankenstein.
Stephen Singer
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, yeah. I can do anything you want from it.
Tom Griswold
I think the funniest scene in Mystery of Movies is when he says, whatever I do, if I go in, whatever
Josh Arnold
I do, no matter what you hear,
Tom Griswold
no matter what I say.
Josh Arnold
And I want you to listen to me.
Tom Griswold
No matter how bad it gets, do
Josh Arnold
not open this door. Do you hear me? Do not open this door. Hey there, handsome. Oh my God.
Bob Kevoian
Let me out. Open the door. It was a joke, you stupid son of a bitch. Open this door.
Tom Griswold
My favorite speech from the movie is. First of all, my favorite one word
Bob Kevoian
impression is said again.
Tom Griswold
Yes, said a dirty word. My favorite speech. Cause I've used this. I've lost some jobs in Hollywood. I was let go offering 0911 and people say, how did you react?
Josh Arnold
I said I was brave at first.
Bob Kevoian
I was like, gene Wald her like, no, no.
Tom Griswold
Be a good cheer. If Hollywood teaches us anything, it teaches us. But we must accept our successes as
Bob Kevoian
well as our failures with quiet dignity and grace.
Tom Griswold
You son of a bitch bastard.
Bob Kevoian
What did you do to me? What did you do to me? I don't want to live.
Christy Lee
I did.
Bob Kevoian
Do not want to leave Mama.
Tom Griswold
Carlos. Happy birthday, Carlos. Alaz. Rocky.
Josh Arnold
No.
Tom Griswold
We have Christy Lee right over there. I can see her. What do you got going on?
Christy Lee
According to a police report, a Florida tattoo artist is behind bars after allegedly being seen outside an apartment building at 2:30 in the morning, quote, with his pants down, inserting a sex toy in his anus.
Josh Arnold
Oh, boy.
Christy Lee
Mr. Jonathan Nemeth, 44, arrested for indecent exposure and booked into the county jail jail. Known for his tattoo work, Mr. Nemeth goes by his professional name, Nemo.
Josh Arnold
Nemo.
Bob Kevoian
You know, remember when this sort of story would elicit. Oh my gosh, are you kidding me? And now it's like, what do you think of that? People are immune to it. Boy, oh boy.
Tom Griswold
Well, the one we had last week.
Christy Lee
Yes, I missed.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. At least this was a sex toy. Yeah.
Christy Lee
I did not see any news last week. I was completely offline. It was awesome.
Tom Griswold
You're lucky you missed this one. But it was a fish.
Christy Lee
Yep, a fish.
Tom Griswold
Did we determine that it was a frozen fish?
Josh Arnold
It didn't sound like it.
Bob Kevoian
I don't think it was. No. I think it would have been more uncomfortable if. If it had been frozen.
Tom Griswold
The man was 30 years old. He underwent a series of CT and X ray scans revealing the fish inside his body. According to this news account, this happened
Christy Lee
in like Thailand or Vietnam.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. By the way, the fish. Fish was a Mozambique tilapia, a bottom Feeder.
Bob Kevoian
Huh?
Tom Griswold
Now this. When the nurse questioned how the fish ended up in his rectum, he said he accidentally sat on it, causing it to go inside his anus. The nurse reportedly replied, do you think I'm an idiot?
Bob Kevoian
It's a million to one shot, doc.
Tom Griswold
But they had to, they had to open up here his. Oh, go. They had to go in from the front because.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, I missed that part.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, the.
Josh Arnold
Oh, they just surgically remove it.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, because the.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, that. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
What's the word?
Christy Lee
Dorsal fin.
Bob Kevoian
The spines. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
The spine opened up so they couldn't pull it out.
Josh Arnold
What was he doing?
Tom Griswold
It says here, here's, here's the. It says surgeons decided to open up his abdomen after discovering the animal's spiny fins had caused ruptures to his large intestine.
Bob Kevoian
Man, you know, I hope, though, hope
Christy Lee
he likes the bag.
Bob Kevoian
I hope it was just wonderful and exquisite. Oh, everything he'd ever dreamed of. Until it wasn't. I just hope he had that.
Tom Griswold
Every time I order tilapia from now on, it's gonna be, wow. Could have been worse. Could have been a swordfish.
Christy Lee
Oh yeah, that would have been pointy.
Bob Kevoian
Pointy.
Tom Griswold
Put them on a gar, right, Josh?
Josh Arnold
Oh, that would be nasty.
Bob Kevoian
Those are ugly fish.
Christy Lee
Yeah, they are big teeth.
Tom Griswold
That's your problem. The fishes. And if you're gonna put.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, insert a fish. I want a handsome.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, you always want a hot fish. Rainbow trout.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah.
Christy Lee
Pretty. Yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
Chrissy, if you're, if you're gonna do it, Christy, make sure you take the hook out.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, I'm thinking like a rainbow trout or something.
Tom Griswold
I see. What else?
Christy Lee
A nice salmon.
Tom Griswold
They're pretty sure this Nemo, the tattoo artist.
Christy Lee
Oh, we're done with him.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Grind, grinding. Nemo will be the name of the movie.
Christy Lee
Authorities in Florida say they busted a man attempting to use a fake penis for a drug test. The Flagler County Sheriff's office reports the man was put in the back of a patrol car after he drove to a scheduled drug test with a suspended license. Footage shows the man pulling a peabag and a fake male member out of his pants before tossing it to the side. Sheriff's official said that when the deputy asked him about the wet fake penis on the floor, the 52 year old said what? It wasn't his what?
Bob Kevoian
Wet fake penis.
Christy Lee
Apparently the fake phallus was the so called. It was a so called jerry rigged wizzinator.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, you don't want to get.
Tom Griswold
Get it.
Bob Kevoian
Treat yourself. Get a nice store bought one.
Christy Lee
They do.
Bob Kevoian
They do great work.
Josh Arnold
And I am glad that Jerry rigged is alive and well.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
The big ones are. Jerome Rigged, huh? We had one of these.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And I.
Bob Kevoian
Because you remember, didn't Michael Vic get in trouble and his. He. His fake name was Ron Mexico and all that.
Tom Griswold
Is that the one where the. And the. And the. The skin flesh color didn't match.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Huh.
Tom Griswold
And I. The trick to this because he pulled
Christy Lee
it out in front of. Of the.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. You have to.
Christy Lee
You have to do it.
Bob Kevoian
And when that happens.
Josh Arnold
And it was like a gleaming white.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Not the right color.
Bob Kevoian
They thought of everything.
Tom Griswold
Except that.
Bob Kevoian
Well, is.
Tom Griswold
Doesn't. Isn't one of the tricks of this. It's got to be room. It's got to be a body temperature.
Bob Kevoian
They do take the temperature of it when they take.
Tom Griswold
And we had the story about the. I think it was a 711 that was near a drug testing center and there was. They had to put a sign up. Don't put. Don't heat up your urine in our microwave.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Because you got to get it just the right temperature. If it comes in and it's sort of simmering.
Bob Kevoian
If your urine comes out at like 325 degrees, we're probably not gonna.
Josh Arnold
We're gonna check the temperature after it stops.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
There's.
Tom Griswold
They got a picture of the thing right there.
Bob Kevoian
There it is.
Josh Arnold
That's as fake a wiener as I've ever seen.
Bob Kevoian
But they kind of have the. A different color at least.
Christy Lee
Yeah, they do.
Bob Kevoian
That's a nice color.
Josh Arnold
It's almost like he colored. Colored it with like he took a. He took a brown marker and it's. But it's.
Tom Griswold
It's really kind of a coppery.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Yes.
Tom Griswold
And then so the. The. The thing on the left we're looking at. That's the bag that holds the urine.
Christy Lee
It looks green. That guy's got a problem.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that's.
Christy Lee
No, that.
Tom Griswold
I assume you hide the. You hide the bag.
Bob Kevoian
I know far too much about.
Tom Griswold
There's a tube that goes into the unit.
Bob Kevoian
The bag. The bag you wear around your waist. So when you fill it it with urine it. It. Your body heats it up to body temperature.
Josh Arnold
Right.
Bob Kevoian
How they do that?
Stephen Singer
Okay.
Josh Arnold
That is some gross looking pee.
Christy Lee
That is. Yikes.
Bob Kevoian
Well, I thought you had some bad looking Pete, didn't you? Weren't you telling us?
Tom Griswold
Well, I was. When I was. We were in the Bahamas trying to get out.
Bob Kevoian
Right.
Tom Griswold
And we were. They sent us to this trailer to. Wait. There's like 50 of us in this trailer with no windows.
Bob Kevoian
Did you hear this, Christy? He was trapped in the Bahamas. Well, 36.
Christy Lee
Well, I did hear that, yeah.
Tom Griswold
But no, but they, it wasn't. I mean there were worse things going
Bob Kevoian
on in the world.
Tom Griswold
It wasn't terrible. But the thing is I don't like to drink any fluids before I get on an airplane. So I didn't drink anything from whatever it was 10:30 in the morning until 7 when we finally got. They canceled the flight, passed out. And I remember when I got back to the hotel, I was essentially urinating. Mustard, viscous and yellow, very yellow. Definitely needed to hydrate. Just a little tip there if you're waiting to get on an aircraft. Now, what's coming up in the news?
Christy Lee
Well, coming up in the news we have a guy train surfing. But here's there's a twist to. This is his train. National moon Day. And we have William Shatner in the news. We got to get to this story.
Bob Kevoian
Home security, we've got you covered here from Simply Safe. You know, in the United States there's a break in every 26 seconds. That means somewhere right now an intruder is getting closer to somebody else's stuff. Traditional home security only alerts you after a break in has already happened. And that is way too late. Simply Safe change and all that. Using advanced AI alerts, SimpliSafe's US based live agents identify threats on your property and deter them. So the intruder never gets into your house to touch your stuff. The crime is stopped way before it even starts. That's why I have Simplisafe at the compound. And you can have it too. And we use it here at the Bob and Son studios. Remember, with Simplisafe there's no long term contracts, no lock ins, no hidden cancellation fees. Simplisafe knows life happens and you need to change things up. There's no problem. You are never ever trapped in a contract and affordable monitoring and deterrence plans starting at around a dollar a day. It is worth the peace of mind knowing you can leave your home for a vacay. And if you hear a weird noise at night, night, you know you're protected. Plus it's oh so easy to set up your own system. I've done it two or three times and I keep adding cameras depending on which way the wind blows. It's up to the director in charge, that's of course me. We'd like you to experience the same peace of mind we do here at the studios and I do at home with Simplisafe with an exclusive big time discount for Bob and Tom, listeners only right now. Tom Griswold
Oh, thank you very much. Coming up, we also have salsa in the news.
Bob Kevoian
Salsa.
Tom Griswold
And it's, as she mentioned, national. National Moon Day. We'll talk about the moon and the space program, et cetera, et cetera. And another guy trapped in a toilet. It's all happening. These are the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show Show.
Bob Kevoian
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios. There's Christy Lee at the news desk.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
Hello. There's Pat Godwin.
Stephen Singer
Hey, Chick.
Bob Kevoian
Hello. There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi there.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
There's Ace Cosby.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
Hello. Always count on Ace. I'm Chick. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Hello. Chick McGregor. Gee, looking over some mail here before we get back to the news desk.
Bob Kevoian
Uhhuh.
Tom Griswold
This comes to us from another Josh. I saw Willie and Jeff Oski this past weekend at the Story in a great show. Jeff said something about fish. I said the band was great. He asked if I had banged.
Bob Kevoian
What? What?
Tom Griswold
You know, something.
Josh Arnold
Anything.
Bob Kevoian
Did you proofread this? No. Don't leave the bang hanging there. That's what she's.
Tom Griswold
I'm gonna. I'm gonna stop reading now.
Josh Arnold
Well, I'd like to know who he banged.
Christy Lee
I banged a fish.
Bob Kevoian
Come on, we all have to. Which one bangs somebody? It had to be Willie, right?
Tom Griswold
No, no, no, no, no, no. This.
Bob Kevoian
This is.
Tom Griswold
This is Mr. Rasque. There was apparently a question about someone getting banged. I. I'll just. I need to prove. Read these.
Stephen Singer
Don't.
Christy Lee
Yeah, you do.
Tom Griswold
Just hand me things.
Josh Arnold
Well, he's handing you things with the expectation that you might look at them before.
Tom Griswold
Very busy now.
Bob Kevoian
It's not his fault.
Tom Griswold
Earlier in the show, I made the contention that William the Refrigerator Perry should become the spokesperson right back for this Japanese product that is called the human refrigerator. And the idea is if someone is overheated, say at a concert or something, something they get in this contraption and it cools them down safely.
Bob Kevoian
I would be interested for an accurate percentage of how many people today know who William the Refrigerator Perry.
Tom Griswold
For my money, I would think one of the most famous nicknames got to
Bob Kevoian
be less than 20% in the NFL.
Tom Griswold
In the history of the NFL.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
A long time ago.
Tom Griswold
It doesn't matter. People still name Babe Ruth.
Josh Arnold
Sure, but it Matters in terms of them endorsing sourcing a product.
Bob Kevoian
Right.
Tom Griswold
So anyways, we were. You guys all thought Mr. William Refrigerator Perry was deceased.
Bob Kevoian
No, he is alive.
Tom Griswold
We were kind of wondering what he was doing. And we have the answer.
Christy Lee
What's he doing?
Bob Kevoian
Oh, can I guess?
Tom Griswold
Kyle writes.
Bob Kevoian
Can I guess real quick? Is it some sort of food service, like lending his name?
Tom Griswold
You guys, Kyle writes. As you can see, it's a short letter. You guys were wondering what the Refrigerator has been up to since he retired.
Bob Kevoian
Oh my God.
Tom Griswold
He's just been chilling. Chilling.
Christy Lee
Oh my God.
Tom Griswold
Thank you, Kyle.
Bob Kevoian
I thought he was up to £500.
Josh Arnold
Thank you, Tom, for, for taking the time to share that with me.
Stephen Singer
You know What?
Bob Kevoian
That is 100% Bazooka Joe is what that was.
Christy Lee
That was, that was so obvious. Never.
Tom Griswold
Well, I think I, I, it certainly.
Bob Kevoian
What are you doing?
Josh Arnold
I don't blame Kyle because Kyle listens and that is the kind of stuff you can expect from time to time. Right?
Bob Kevoian
Hey, pud, why are you sitting there in front of of the refrigerator? Oh, I just wanted to chill. I'm starting to chill. I'm chilling, that's what.
Tom Griswold
Okay, fine.
Stephen Singer
Crap.
Christy Lee
Organizers of Riot Fest released a sneak peek at William Shatner's tour rider ahead of his appearance at the rock festival in September.
Josh Arnold
Oh yeah, he's got like a metal band, doesn't he?
Christy Lee
A 95 year old entertainment icon will debut his new heavy metal band, the. I'm gonna say Uckers. You can add the.
Josh Arnold
Which I think is, is the name. It's like star. Uckers.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
On September 20th at Chicago's Douglas Park.
Bob Kevoian
I mean, who. I, I can't tell you how. I just don't want anything to do with this at all. It's just fun.
Josh Arnold
What's wrong? It's a novelty.
Bob Kevoian
No, I don't think it is.
Josh Arnold
I just think Shatner's always done these kind of novels.
Christy Lee
Is he gonna just like talk sing like he does to a heavy man?
Bob Kevoian
He can't sing sing, so he has
Christy Lee
to the tongue in cheek post of his rider requirements say Mr. Shatner. Shatner needs a boat named in his honor, a dressing room themed as Shatner's Shag Shack, a bowl of sauerkraut and an assortment of adaptable. Adaptable. An assortment of adoptable puppies, among other ridiculous requests.
Tom Griswold
Oh, it's all, that's all just a joke, right?
Bob Kevoian
I like the boat angle.
Tom Griswold
Has he done it live before? I know he's had the, we had, we talked to him when he had the one of the albums released live on tv.
Josh Arnold
Not.
Christy Lee
I don't know.
Tom Griswold
So this is a new. Is this a new.
Stephen Singer
Go ahead.
Tom Griswold
We got this. A new enterprise. Sorry. No, I can't do it. I can't say it. He's interesting guy. My gosh.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
I mean, at 95. I hope I'm out.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
I applaud concerts.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. He's always doing something that he. That he feels like doing.
Bob Kevoian
The Boston public is great.
Josh Arnold
Great. Yeah, he's. He was. I mean, he's wonderful in that.
Bob Kevoian
Wow.
Tom Griswold
Will you go bill the holiday?
Christy Lee
June. July 20th.
Bob Kevoian
July 20th.
Christy Lee
I'm very tired.
Bob Kevoian
Chrissy.
Josh Arnold
Chrissy, there's no excuse for getting us on fire.
Bob Kevoian
I want to ask you one. Would you like a mid julep, Miss?
Christy Lee
I was in the south.
Bob Kevoian
I want to be. I want to ask you a question that everyone wants to know the answer to.
Christy Lee
To.
Bob Kevoian
What the hell is wrong with you? My God, this is July.
Christy Lee
July.
Bob Kevoian
Not July.
Josh Arnold
July. Hey, just get the second syllable out. That's all that.
Tom Griswold
Calm down, Ms. Hattie. You know what?
Bob Kevoian
Yes, it can be July if you don't spend so much time on the first syllable.
Josh Arnold
Right? Right.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Christy Lee
July 20th is national moon Day. Holiday marks the anniversary of one of history's greatest achievements. The day humans first walked on the Moon in 1969. On July 20th of that year, NASA astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz aldrin landed Apollo 11's lunar module, the Eagle, on the lunar surface at 4:17pm While Michael Collins, or Michael Collins, always forgotten, remained in orbit aboard the command module. Armstrong became the first person to step onto the moon, delivering the famous launch line. That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind at 10:56pm now,
Josh Arnold
did Michael Collins ever get to step out of the module?
Christy Lee
No.
Josh Arnold
Why wouldn't they just go, all right, hey, take a step.
Tom Griswold
Because he was.
Christy Lee
He was orbiting Collins.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
The way they just dropped him off.
Christy Lee
Yeah, they dropped.
Tom Griswold
No, he didn't drop. No, they had. There's a. There was a separate thing. The lunar module separated. It's separated from the spacecraft together. Spacecraft. And then that. I mean, it's amazing. That dropped to the moon and then they had to.
Christy Lee
So Buzz didn't get to go out, if that's what you're asking.
Tom Griswold
I thought he did.
Christy Lee
Did he go out?
Bob Kevoian
Buzz was out.
Josh Arnold
So those guys do that. They go. They're walking the moon, then they go back up to where Michael Collins is orbiting.
Bob Kevoian
Yes, they launch from the moon.
Josh Arnold
And there was no way for them to go, all right, now, Michael, you take a Spin down there.
Tom Griswold
They had just enough fuel. Fuel. The number of things that could have gone wrong. I mean, those guys all have super balls.
Bob Kevoian
Well, the biggest thing that could have gone wrong.
Josh Arnold
Egos is what they have is that
Bob Kevoian
they incredibly lose power in Southern California. And we'll shut the set down.
Josh Arnold
Right, Right. What do you think they had more of? Courage or ego?
Bob Kevoian
Oh, that's courage. I'm gonna say mixture of both. As much as it makes my stomach hurt. Courage.
Josh Arnold
I am too, but I just love how uncomfortable he gets with.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, I know. He. He's born at a time when the Wii 7, the Mercury astronauts were gods walking.
Josh Arnold
Well, it is. Yeah. I kind of get it, but I
Bob Kevoian
just don't understand it.
Tom Griswold
You read a great book last year about John Glenn.
Bob Kevoian
Good for you.
Tom Griswold
It's unbelievably how dangerous this was.
Bob Kevoian
I'm. I'm there 100%. Well, you're a little insane.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
You have to be a little insane, which is great.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
But today is. Is officially Moon day.
Christy Lee
Moon day.
Bob Kevoian
All right.
Josh Arnold
Moon day.
Tom Griswold
Moon day.
Bob Kevoian
When are we gonna go? Aren't we somebody walking around up there again? Soon.
Josh Arnold
It was a big moment for Cronkite too.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, yeah. He liked it.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. The two best things ever happened.
Tom Griswold
Wait a minute.
Christy Lee
Here it comes.
Josh Arnold
It's too tasteless.
Christy Lee
They both have to do with John F. Kennedy.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Well, Kennedy, the Vietnam War and the moon land.
Tom Griswold
Well now, how about this? Let's do a nice one minute tribute to the moon.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Ready for this? Okay. Ladies and gentlemen, Haywood Banks.
Bob Kevoian
Press your buttocks against the window and
Josh Arnold
I'll know you are home.
Bob Kevoian
Can I say that on the air?
Josh Arnold
Sure. Okay, good.
Tom Griswold
The view from the sidewalk is a vision all its own.
Bob Kevoian
There's no need to turn out the light.
Tom Griswold
Just press your buttons against the window
Bob Kevoian
and it turns the day to night. Can I say that on the air?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Stephen Singer
Okay, good.
Tom Griswold
The gasp of astonishment is still upon
Bob Kevoian
my lips from when I first saw your buttocks.
Tom Griswold
Make that total eclipse.
Bob Kevoian
If there's rain clouds aforementioned and there's no need to go on the lamb, your butt could hold the water back like the grand. Cause it looks just like Saran Wrap around a semi boneless ham.
Tom Griswold
Tribute to the moon visual at the end. Thank you. Childish, silly, joyful, fun.
Christy Lee
Making a moon.
Tom Griswold
Wait a minute. Have you ever mooned anybody? Christy?
Christy Lee
I don't think so.
Tom Griswold
You've never mooned another young lady at a pillow fight?
Christy Lee
Sounds like a yes, young lady. Why would I do that?
Tom Griswold
Driving a pillow?
Josh Arnold
Cuz he has no idea how girls work.
Tom Griswold
I happened to have fathered four of them.
Josh Arnold
I know nothing, and I promise none
Christy Lee
of them are mooning each other at a pillow.
Bob Kevoian
And the fact that you had mentioned that. Well, I fathered four of them just speaks to them how much you don't know.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
You've never really had. You ever moon to anybody?
Bob Kevoian
Yes, at a high school play, and I got in big trouble.
Stephen Singer
Off stage.
Bob Kevoian
I did it and didn't go.
Tom Griswold
Didn't go.
Josh Arnold
Well. Ah, yes, the joker in the wing.
Stephen Singer
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
I never have mooned anyone. But much like Pat Senior play backstage last night, I put my. My middle finger through the fly in my pants side stage so the crowd could see me, and also the crowd could see you.
Christy Lee
I have been mooned on the freeway, if that's what you're talking about.
Tom Griswold
Wow.
Bob Kevoian
The freeway moon.
Christy Lee
Someone pulled up next to us and dropped trial right there and. Yeah, yeah, that's happened.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Josh, you ever.
Josh Arnold
Oh, sure. Three brothers.
Christy Lee
It's more of a guy thing.
Tom Griswold
You think so?
Christy Lee
Yes.
Josh Arnold
My brother John mooned his water polo team and got suspended for a couple days.
Christy Lee
I think women are more quick to flash their breath.
Josh Arnold
He was on the diving board. Have you done that, Chris?
Tom Griswold
Oh, Moon from the diving board?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, he was on the diving board, and his coach, a female coach, said, john, go ahead and jump already. And he just turned around and mooned her.
Bob Kevoian
Nice.
Tom Griswold
He'd be in jail.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
That's why he's an American hero.
Stephen Singer
Oh.
Josh Arnold
Oh, he said the team. He was a hero for a long time.
Bob Kevoian
Him, Neil Armstrong, no difference. Damn right.
Tom Griswold
Today he'd be in jail.
Bob Kevoian
He got in trouble, right?
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
No, I don't think he'd be in jail.
Josh Arnold
Oh, they would consider it. Like some sort of assault.
Tom Griswold
It would be considered, let's see, public indecency.
Bob Kevoian
He'd be expelled at least.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
I mean, he got two days of suspension, so.
Tom Griswold
But it was worth it, I'm sure.
Josh Arnold
Oh, he. He has zero regrets.
Christy Lee
But seriously, miss my boy, don't you think women are more likely to flash their boobs than to moan someone?
Josh Arnold
I think so.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
That's the way that's the way it should be.
Christy Lee
Is that the way it should be?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Have you.
Bob Kevoian
Have you done that?
Christy Lee
No, I'm not.
Stephen Singer
No.
Tom Griswold
So we've established the fact that now. We now have an opportunity for Christy to do two things.
Josh Arnold
Yes. Boobs and butt. Boobs and butt.
Tom Griswold
A separate days, though.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah. You don't want.
Tom Griswold
I want to spread it out.
Josh Arnold
What do we want today?
Bob Kevoian
I thought one. Did we. Yeah, we did do that one day, didn't we? Pajama morning. We wore pajamas.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that was a comfy morning.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, that was a nice morning.
Christy Lee
That was a nice morning.
Josh Arnold
Why don't we do that every morning? Getting dressed for.
Bob Kevoian
I don't understand.
Josh Arnold
Can we just all agree not to shower and dress?
Christy Lee
We're on YouTube now.
Bob Kevoian
Let me tell you, back in the gorilla. The early baby days, I. Yeah, I didn't.
Christy Lee
Yeah, back before these cameras were in
Bob Kevoian
sweatpants, bad baseball cap.
Josh Arnold
The people want to see us comfy.
Bob Kevoian
Is that right?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Glad you said comfy.
Bob Kevoian
I don't think. I don't think Tom's capable of being comfy.
Christy Lee
Yeah, Tom isn't.
Bob Kevoian
It weirds him out if he gets comfy.
Tom Griswold
Well, now I tell who's comfy. Christy Lee's comfy in that great Hyundai.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah, because she.
Tom Griswold
She drove that Hyundai all the way down to South Carolina and back.
Bob Kevoian
You know, Hyundai's are so nice, you almost don't want to drive them.
Christy Lee
You almost forget you're driving it. It's so comfortable.
Bob Kevoian
That's it.
Christy Lee
There you go. And you could get your little. Little naked buns in a Hyundai right now.
Bob Kevoian
That's right.
Christy Lee
It's the Hyundai getaway sales event going on at your local Hyundai dealer. You can get great deals on their most popular models, including their adventure ready SUV's like the Hyundai Santa Fe or Santa Fe hybrid. Or like I love the Tucson hybrid or just the Tucson. And there's the bold and stylish Elantra. Their sedan. Their sedan. Their sedan.
Bob Kevoian
Do you know them sedans they got? I had some sweet tea Sardam if they didn't. I tell you that.
Tom Griswold
Sir Paul, your syringo. Your Sir Dan.
Bob Kevoian
Monday, Tuesday.
Christy Lee
The Elantra is loaded with trigger technology. Or if you want to go all electric, it's the Ionic 5 or Ioniq 9 waiting for you at your local Hyundai dealer. Get away with a deal you'll love during the Hyundai getaway sales event. Visit HyundaiUSA.com for details.
Bob Kevoian
Get away.
Christy Lee
Did I mention I can just sleep on the vacation?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, you didn't get much sleep. Okay, good, good. By the way, the. The book I was thinking of is Mercury. Mercury Rising. It's a great book. Write that down about the space program, you illiterate tools. Don't have to read it.
Bob Kevoian
The only reason I buy that. So someone else.
Tom Griswold
Someone who has an interest in the greatness of the space program.
Bob Kevoian
See, he's just. His whole. His mind.
Tom Griswold
You wouldn't have your beloved television. Television, satellite, any of this stuff unmanned.
Bob Kevoian
Everything would have been taken care of.
Josh Arnold
The man who insisted they he get off the ride. Mission Earth at Epcot.
Tom Griswold
Yes, because I am a giant pussy. I could not do. That's what I'm saying. John Glenn got into a actual spacecraft when he was like 80. These guys had super balls.
Bob Kevoian
And he vomited violently when he landed.
Tom Griswold
Well, so much like I would.
Josh Arnold
Oh yeah.
Tom Griswold
I wouldn't have been able to get out of. Those guys were very courageous. Now that's a good book. I highly recommend. Highly recommend.
Bob Kevoian
I've declared them courageous.
Tom Griswold
In honor of. In honor of. In honor of Moon Day, I declare all games will be tied.
Bob Kevoian
I don't 000 and moon. What I don't.
Christy Lee
I don't get it.
Tom Griswold
It's t. I d. You see the tide.
Josh Arnold
Oh, gosh darn it. You are asking us to do way too much.
Bob Kevoian
You illiterate.
Tom Griswold
Oh my goodness.
Bob Kevoian
Holy my.
Tom Griswold
These are the O'Reilly Auto acceptable.
Bob Kevoian

Bob Kevoian
You guys all 12. One of a kind as you get
Josh Arnold
some sort of tax benefit.
Bob Kevoian
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Or maybe they didn't come back. Maybe they. Maybe they're just new.
Christy Lee
Ah. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Well, welcome.
Bob Kevoian
If you. They've missed a lot have listened to today's show. You eligible for some sort of female
Christy Lee
and we'll be better tomorrow, we promise.
Bob Kevoian
There's Ace Cosby. Hello, I'm Chick. Hello, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I was thinking we had that story about the. The food truck that has been barred from returning to a government I guess office because of the slogan.
Christy Lee
Right.
Tom Griswold
What was the slogan again?
Christy Lee
Smash Daddy's Burgers. Their slogan. You'll love our meat in your mouth.
Josh Arnold
Fairly innocuous.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Have a good burger, man.
Josh Arnold
It's a mild, a fun. Yeah. It's mildly suggested little chuckle.
Tom Griswold
So my idea about you'll love to lick our vertical tacos. That's too much.
Josh Arnold
Well yeah. How about.
Tom Griswold
How about this one? We won't muff your order for our vertical tacos.
Bob Kevoian
That's not bad.
Josh Arnold
I. I have the last half hour.
Christy Lee
Everything.
Josh Arnold
You've been really one after another.
Stephen Singer
Really.
Bob Kevoian
I'm going to say 45 minutes.
Josh Arnold
I mean, you talk about the astronauts being courageous.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah. Don't you? Do not. Do not sell yourself.
Josh Arnold
You're celebrating the wrong heroes.
Tom Griswold
But I think we should set up some kind of a promotion and bring this guy's truck out.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that'd be great.
Bob Kevoian
That would be cool. How about the promotion that we want to eat.
Josh Arnold
Some of?
Tom Griswold
The guy gets some business. This guy's gonna lose a bunch of money because he can't be part of this thing.
Bob Kevoian
Because he's got a slogan.
Tom Griswold
I don't know.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. That is silly.
Tom Griswold
Just not fair.
Christy Lee
Just not fair.
Josh Arnold
Lighten up. Don't you want your government officials to have a tad of a sense of humor? I mean.
Bob Kevoian
Absolutely.
Josh Arnold
My goodness.
Tom Griswold
And the burgers are great, by all accounts. The burgers are delightful. Why wouldn't you. Why would you want to discourage him from coming? Whatever his slogan.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. The guy's not at a church picnic doing this. He's.
Tom Griswold
It'd be okay.
Josh Arnold
Well, depending on families and stuff. I can. I could see why. Maybe, but come on.
Christy Lee
A man was arrested after allegedly surfing on top of a moving train. Brain.
Josh Arnold
Don't ever do this.
Tom Griswold
Gets worse. It gets worse.
Christy Lee
While naked.
Josh Arnold
Well, I guess if you are going to do it.
Christy Lee
The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office in Colorado said in an online post. For those of you who've had the unfortunate experience of seeing this gentleman surfing naked on top of a moving locomotive yesterday, I want you to know that he was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges.
Josh Arnold
Is he at least miming like he is on a surfboard?
Christy Lee
I hope so.
Josh Arnold
You know, the arms out.
Christy Lee
Sure.
Tom Griswold
Except. Except He's. He's hanging 11.
Bob Kevoian
Perhaps.
Josh Arnold
Congratulations.
Tom Griswold
Here's what bugs me about this. If you saw a guy on top of a train doing this, wouldn't you immediately get out your. Your phone and film this thing?
Josh Arnold
Sure.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Of course.
Tom Griswold
And of course you'd even more so if the guy was naked.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, but how. But trains go by real fast.
Christy Lee
Yeah. By the time the trains by, you're. Unless you have a phone in your hand.
Tom Griswold
I just. Because I could.
Josh Arnold
You.
Tom Griswold
I couldn't find any photographs of this.
Bob Kevoian
Maybe it's safer for him. The billowy clothes would be.
Josh Arnold
Yes. They could parachute him off the train.
Bob Kevoian
Right.
Tom Griswold
And he could turn around Backwards. It'd be just like the whistle.
Bob Kevoian
Must be safer this way. That is B.
Tom Griswold
But what. I don't understand it. Also, it says he was on a local. On the locomotive.
Bob Kevoian
That's the front. The front car, right?
Tom Griswold
That's the engine.
Bob Kevoian
I think they'd call it that. Whether it's.
Tom Griswold
It's providing propulsion.
Christy Lee
No, it says on top of a moving locomotive. I think that just means the train. I don't think it meant the actual engine.
Tom Griswold
Because. Yeah, because, I mean, you want to be on the movies. They're always having those fights on top of the freight cars.
Christy Lee
Of course, we've all seen Wild Wild West. Come on.
Bob Kevoian
But he did get winded, Tom. He was out of locomotive breath.
Josh Arnold
I think you. You deflated too soon.
Christy Lee
On.
Bob Kevoian
Did I? Did I give up?
Tom Griswold
Maybe you could. Maybe you should have said somehow brought Jethro Tull into it prior to that.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Rather than.
Stephen Singer
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, me.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Tom Griswold
That's okay.
Bob Kevoian
We're gonna.
Tom Griswold
We're all gonna bungle.
Bob Kevoian
Bungle in the jungle.
Josh Arnold
No, I'm a snake when we disagree. Man.
Bob Kevoian
I love that song.
Tom Griswold
Sitting on a park, man, I'm embarrassed now about it.
Bob Kevoian
Yes.
Tom Griswold
You don't like Locomotive Breath?
Josh Arnold
Oh, no, that's Bungle in the jungle. Yeah. Oh, oh, oh. Bungle in the jungle does feel a little silly, but when it comes on, I'm so singing.
Christy Lee
Sure.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Well, if. If. If something not being silly was an
Josh Arnold
important criteria in the world of rock song meaning, it's. It's earnest. It. I don't want. It's. It's silly, but it also takes itself seriously. That's where. That's where.
Bob Kevoian
Because I know he takes himself seriously.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, yeah. Yes.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I think he. I think his.
Bob Kevoian
But he is a fish farmer.
Tom Griswold
Tongue is a fish farm. Firm, firmly placed in his flute.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
His skin flute.
Tom Griswold
No. He is a flautist, as you know. Well, Christy, what's coming up tomorrow?
Christy Lee
Because we're going to talk about salsa classes. If you've ever done the salsa, it might be. Really?
Josh Arnold
I got a dice. Tomatoes.
Tom Griswold
Didn't you take salsa classes?
Christy Lee
I have taken ballroom dancing. And salsa was part of it. Yes. Last Latin. The Latin genre, if you will.
Bob Kevoian
Now, when you ballroom dance as a guy, you have to have your balls out.
Christy Lee
No, you do not.
Josh Arnold
Okay, I leave room for my balls.
Bob Kevoian
Try to dance.
Tom Griswold
We're clearly done.
Bob Kevoian
Yes, we have really tired.
Tom Griswold
Christy has passed her fatigue on to all of us.
Christy Lee
I'm sorry.
Tom Griswold
We're all very tired. But check out some cool stuff we've got posted. Yes, on the Bob and Tom website. We've got a whole bunch of new stuff. We're getting organized there. Find out about the vip. We're getting that even better and better. We got some really cool stuff coming down the road there, both audio and, and visual stuff on the way. So we certainly appreciate your indulgence today. And we will remain here in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Bob Kevoian
Thanks for listening to the Bob and Tom show this morning.
Josh Arnold
Morning.
Bob Kevoian
The show is also out there for you on our YouTube channel. Watch and subscribe. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
This episode revolves around National Moon Day—the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing—as well as its usual blend of sharp, playful banter on comedy, news, sports, music, and daily observations. The cast (Bob Kevoian, Tom Griswold, Christy Lee, Josh Arnold, Chick McGee, Ace Cosby, Stephen Singer, and Pat Godwin) celebrate moon-related nostalgia, discuss modern oddities, field letters from listeners, and riff on everything from the Apollo program’s legacy to awkward personal moments.
Lighthearted, free-associative, irreverent, nostalgic, and quick-witted—in true BOB & TOM fashion. The show is highly interactive, responsive to listener emails, and packed with off-the-cuff in-jokes and callbacks (“Tang,” “Hasselbladder,” “moonings,” etc.). The group is never shy about veering off-course, celebrating random topics as much as the “serious” ones, maintaining a playful rapport throughout.
Even if you missed the show live, this episode is a quintessential BOB & TOM sample: boisterous nostalgia, constant riffing, real-world absurdities, and way more than just sports and news. Whether you’re in it for the clever banter on bodily mishaps, input on food slogans, or impromptu takes on moon landings and musical guests, you’ll find plenty to grin about.
