Tom Griswold
It's the bob and tom show.
Bob Kevoian
Right now. We've kind of shifted the seats around a little bit. I can't help but notice that Donnie Baker has joined us on the dais. Donnie, good to see you.
Donnie Baker
Good to be out of jail, Tom.
Tom Griswold
Oh, it's nice.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Donnie Baker
Thanks for the help, chick.
Bob Kevoian
Well, Donnie, I like the fact that you've got just the one braid in the back with the beads on it and your Molly.
Tom Griswold
Good luck.
Bob Kevoian
Really nice.
Donnie Baker
Got the braids on a pay per braid program here. I'm getting another one at four. That part's going real good. But I met this guy in jail, man. You know, there's a lot of beach musicians and this guy, man, this is good people. My buddy. I don't even know his real name, but a lot of times you get incarcerated and you kind of have to team up. And I teamed up with this guy to my right.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Donnie Baker
He's probably better than Jimmy Buffett. Bob and I'd say right to his face, but he's good people, man. You know, right away we came from the same terry cloth. I knew he came from my background. And I look at what he's done for me and he's good people. I don't know. He goes by Scissors.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Scissors.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Donnie Baker
We got inspired by the halftime show watching Tom Petty's all right. And so I figured we could do a lot better. Probably going back, he respected that. I used to be known as Donny Cougars. Donny Cougars and the Pork Breakers.
Tom Griswold
Uh huh.
Donnie Baker
Well I won't come back down Cause I hate this town. Ain't got airbrushed T shirts like Gatlinburg does. So I won't come back down. I told you it was good.
Pat Godwin
Oh yeah.
Tom Griswold
Way to go, Scissors.
Donnie Baker
You like this tape? She was a Bahamian girl raised on conk and dope she braided hair on the beach and that's how she paid for the conk and dope She's a behind me and girl. Here's another tape that I thought Petty kind of rushed through it last night. We're gonna her time with this one.
Josh Arnold
Yeah,
Bob Kevoian
it's perfect.
Donnie Baker
It was a beautiful day Put my deposit down Got a red moped and a case of bear Riding down the road Stopping was impossible Cause the brakes were shot and the tires were bald I was running down a cop Cause the damn thing wouldn't stop finally ran out of gas that's when four of them bait my ass. Running down a cop. They love you, Scissors.
Tom Griswold
Oh yeah.
Donnie Baker
I told you, man, they love what you do, man. He's playing the songs. And give me my $20. One more tape.
Josh Arnold
We're gonna.
Donnie Baker
This is probably the best tape that we've wrote together.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Donnie Baker
One toilet, two man. 14 cubic square feet of incarceration.
Bob Kevoian
It's a good boat.
Donnie Baker
It's not a good motor. It don't burn off. But the seats are brand new. Need some fresh paint. But just on the left side. I'd act quick on it if I was you. Plus, you get a free, Free trailer.
Ace Cosby
Come on.
Donnie Baker
Scissors. Get a free,
Tom Griswold
Free trailer. Come a pager. My God, that was beautiful.
Pat Godwin
Hello.
Tom Griswold
He there. Ho, there. From the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios, here come the singers. It's the Bob and Tom Show. Christy Lee at the news desk.
Donnie Baker
Well, hi.
Tom Griswold
There's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hello, Chick.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Pat. There's Josh Arnold. Hey, hey, hey, hey. There's Ace Cosby. Hello. I am Jake McGee at the NHTSA sports desk. And here he is our. Our founder. Our leader.
Bob Kevoian
Founder.
Tom Griswold
Nerves of steel. It's Tom Griswold.
Josh Arnold
I'm using a toothpick already this morning, and Chick asked me for some toothpick wisdom. Would you like some toothpick?
Tom Griswold
Oh, I would like that very much. Oh, yeah. Something else. Yeah. Yep.
Josh Arnold
Blueberry skin sure can be stubborn.
Tom Griswold
It sure can be.
Josh Arnold
That is toothpick.
Tom Griswold
That's good.
Bob Kevoian
Is that based on this morning's blueberry intake?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
I see.
Christy Lee
Get a little skin stuck in your teeth. Yeah, right there.
Josh Arnold
Now, when you're fishing for channel cat, you want to use liver. If you're fishing for flathead worms, this is more.
Bob Kevoian
More profound.
Josh Arnold
This has been toothpick wisdom.
Bob Kevoian
I like.
Tom Griswold
I like it. Hey, lesser things have caught on for a longer time, let me tell you.
Bob Kevoian
This could be a new feature on this show. Heard a little bit of Donnie. Sadly, Donnie's gone. Although I think his boat's still for sale. I have to. Have to call the. Call the folks handling the estate now. We have a lot to get, a few stories we've got to catch up with. Update, let you know how things are going.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Were you here for the. The. The cannabis dog?
Christy Lee
I was not.
Bob Kevoian
There's an update on that one.
Tom Griswold
But the. The dog's okay, though, right?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, I wanted to find out. So I. I did a little research this morning. The essence of the story. And we have another dog rescue story this morning that's kind of cool.
Christy Lee
We do.
Bob Kevoian
Especially when you consider the place where it took place.
Christy Lee
Okay, let's not. What?
Bob Kevoian
No, no, I'm not gonna. This one took place.
Tom Griswold
See you saying that as you said it. You've already done it, haven't you?
Josh Arnold
Haven't you?
Christy Lee
You've put that now.
Tom Griswold
Now you've put that. What awkward setting are we speaking? No, no, it's not.
Christy Lee
No, it's not.
Bob Kevoian
It's not that bad.
Ace Cosby
No.
Bob Kevoian
In this, this case it was. This was in Britain and I did not know Britain's tallest mountain is called Mount Ben Nevis. Kind of a.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
I don't know what Ben Nevis had going, but it's.
Josh Arnold
I found it.
Tom Griswold
I found this mess of mine. I said, oh, there it is.
Bob Kevoian
It's in Scotland technically, I take it. And black Labrador named of all things Tokyo. So this is getting even more confused. Oh, Tokyo, Tokyo collapsed on the trail. And then there happened to be a mountain rescue group nearby and there's video of them carrying this dog down a 55 pound a black Labrador carrying him down more than 4,000ft on a stretcher.
Josh Arnold
And the dog does look like it's having a bad high.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
And they wide eyed and.
Bob Kevoian
Yes. So here is the. The post
Pat Godwin
report.
Bob Kevoian
Veterinarians feared the dog had a spinal injury. However it turned out the dog was suffering from massive cannabis intoxication. The dog was treated with activated charcoal and monitored overnight. The only time I ever heard of activated charcoal.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
A cigarette commercial.
Tom Griswold
That's right. I want to say Tarrington.
Bob Kevoian
Was that. Which one? It was Territton.
Pat Godwin
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. T A R E Y N T
Josh Arnold
O N. The only time I've heard of a dog being treated with activated charcoal was when I lived in Korea
Bob Kevoian
and they were barbecuing it.
Tom Griswold
Cook it low and slow.
Bob Kevoian
So I don't know if I assume that means that they fed the dog activated charcoal, but as Josh pointed out, the dog looks incredibly stoned and scared.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Poor dog.
Bob Kevoian
And then the authorities in Britain are now saying be very cautious letting dogs forage on trails and they urge hikers not to leave their cannabis. All we can figure is somebody probably had gummies of some sort and dropped them.
Christy Lee
Maybe.
Bob Kevoian
I mean that's the only thing I could that makes sense of it. I assume obviously they think it's cannabis. I mean it could have been even worse. Obviously they could have turned that dog into a meth lab. Okay.
Tom Griswold
Okay. That's really, really funny. It really is. The black Labrador next to last week and the like a good neighbor snake farm is there.
Bob Kevoian
I think that was a good one. That was my job. Did you know that there are snake farms? It's. I know it sounds.
Christy Lee
Why are they raising snakes?
Bob Kevoian
There are Many of them.
Christy Lee
Well, what purpose?
Bob Kevoian
For Chinese medicine.
Christy Lee
Oh, okay.
Bob Kevoian
But this. This thing. There was a flood.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Which we're kind of getting used to in America lately. And it looks like. I think Josh described it as a giant raft. It's a thousand snakes in one big clump floating down.
Christy Lee
Boy, that gave you the heebie jeeb.
Josh Arnold
They were like this.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. And as Jeff said, they all look like a little baby Loch Ness monster.
Bob Kevoian
Yes, a lot of a bunch of them were. What do they call them? King cobras.
Christy Lee
Cobras. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
But can you imagine? You don't. I can't picture that in the old McDonald's song. I'm the snake, old MacDonald had a farm. And the cow goes, moo, moo, moo. And the snakes go.
Tom Griswold
And the king cobra goes. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Just wanted to update you. The dog is.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
That's important.
Josh Arnold
Oh, good, good.
Bob Kevoian
But, yeah, again, I. Yeah. Who discards their marijuana while claiming it?
Christy Lee
Well, I'm sure they've dropped it and didn't know.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. And we've had a lot of warnings about this. And in fact, I know in many states where they have legal gummies, they have to make sure that they don't look like candy. You don't want kids or, obviously, dogs to grab them.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Florida is one of those states.
Bob Kevoian
And we'll have more, of course, more Florida news coming up today.
Christy Lee
Of course. We always have. I have new headphones, y', all, so everything sounds weird to me.
Tom Griswold
All right, sir.
Christy Lee
Very weird.
Tom Griswold
Ah, well, I tell you what. We'll. We'll get through this together.
Christy Lee
Thank you. Will you hold my hand?
Tom Griswold
Absolutely.
Bob Kevoian
Well, you may sound funny, but that way. But you look funny, too.
Tom Griswold
I'm here for it.
Christy Lee
Well, thank you.
Tom Griswold
I know yesterday your bag. Today.
Donnie Baker
No, no.
Tom Griswold
You're a laughingstock.
Christy Lee
And today I actually put makeup on. I tried.
Bob Kevoian
You look great. Don't cut your bangs. That's all I'm saying.
Pat Godwin
You've labeled your hair, too, so.
Christy Lee
Exactly right.
Tom Griswold
Don't listen to him.
Christy Lee
Labeled the last.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, let's move forward here. What's coming up in sports?
Tom Griswold
That's a good question. Oh, we had a big time parade in Madrid.
Bob Kevoian
The sound of the band.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Because Spain won the World cup, they had a welcome home parade. You are the champions. Southeastern Conference is taking a squint at leaving the ncaa. We'll speak with. Well, we'll hear from Southeast Southeastern Conference commissioner Greg Sankey, and you're welcome. And problems with the University of Michigan and their athletic director. If you've ever wanted to be an AD in The Big Ten. There's a job open and an odd story about one of my heroes. When I was a kid, you had Bill Russell, you had Kareem Abdul Jabbar, and you had Wilt Chamberlain. And I will. I will crawl up on Uncle Chick's knee and I'll tell you a story about Wilt Chamber.
Josh Arnold
Have you seen the clip of Bill Russell on Miami Vice?
Tom Griswold
I have not. And I wasn't aware of this.
Josh Arnold
He comes in and he blows away a young Michael Richards.
Donnie Baker
Really?
Josh Arnold
Yes. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And that's Bill Russell.
Josh Arnold
What nobody's done yet is what I think should be done is a mashup of Kramer of Michael Richards at doing a little stand up, getting to Bill Russell shooting him.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, there you go.
Tom Griswold
Yes, sir.
Bob Kevoian
Was Bill Russell a part of a lengthy guest appearance?
Josh Arnold
Yes, apparently. Yeah, yeah. He was playing and Michael Richards was shaking him down.
Tom Griswold
Oh, there you go.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. And it was threatening his family. And Bill Russell said, I've had enough of this.
Bob Kevoian
I think in real life that would also be happening. I don't think Mr. Russell would want to take much grief. Okay, good. Well, good to know that. And many more exciting things on the way, including another dog rescue on a different continent.
Tom Griswold
Well, that's good. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Another happy story. We've got a little update on the. That weird looking critter that's all over the Internet. The. The raccoon.
Tom Griswold
They're calling it something though, like a jimmy knee or. Yeah, yeah, they are.
Bob Kevoian
Jimothy.
Ace Cosby
I think it is.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Oh, kind of the deformed raccoon.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Christy Lee
In Seattle.
Josh Arnold
Than a. I like that guy.
Bob Kevoian
A really bizarre story about a guy and his right to coat his correspondence with his own male seed.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
What is like his letters that he's sending people or he works for a news company and he's quoting those correspondence.
Bob Kevoian
You'll find out.
Tom Griswold
Got something to do with Roger Ailes. What's going on?
Bob Kevoian
No, it's. But it's. It's in the courts. And. Oh, and again, good news for coffee drinkers makers. Coming up, another scientific study that more caffeine's better, right?
Tom Griswold
Coffee.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
With insert elimination. Now, this portion of the Baba Top show features a chick McGee telling us
Tom Griswold
about when you speed while driving, you have less time to react. It makes sense to whatever comes across your path. So slow down. Because a sharp turn when you speed could take you by surprise, causing you to veer off the road. Another car could come out of nowhere. A truck could break suddenly, a cyclist could enter the road ahead and your impact could Send them to the hospital. A pedestrian could be walking their puppy dog, and your foot on the gas might lead to a tragedy. You may not think any of these things could happen to you, but you won't see them until it's too late. When you're speeding, you don't have time to course correct. You don't have time to stop. And it only takes an instant for disaster to strike. The speed limit isn't just there to protect you. It's there to protect your passengers, other drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and everyone who shares the road. Slow down, obey the rules and the law and help keep everyone around you safe. Speeding does catch up with you. Paid for by NHTSA.
Bob Kevoian
Thank you very much, NHTSA. Thank you very Much, Chick McGee. Oh, also, the Hemingway lookalike contest is coming this weekend. I still got time and a little bit of Hemingway birthday news. You know what year Ernest Hemingway was born?
Christy Lee
1901.
Tom Griswold
28.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, very good, Christy. No, 1899. But you were close. You, you, you.
Christy Lee
I went over, though.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, sorry.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
There goes the 30 bucks.

Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom show in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Christy Lee at the news desk.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Tom Griswold
Hello. There's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey, Jake.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Pat. There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi there.
Tom Griswold
There's Ace Cosby. Hello, I'm Chic McGee. Hello, Tom.
Bob Kevoian
Time for some letters. Chick McGee, what's going on over there?
Tom Griswold
Letters from emails from our listeners. Dear Baba Tom show, thank you and Josh for howling like a wolf yesterday when Tom read that a listener was listening to you guys on the radio station the Wolf. I did it in my car, forgot my windows were down and there was a lady next to me that was scared and seemed freaked out. It was awesome. Thanks again. Love the show. That's from Andy.
Christy Lee
Hi, Andy.
Josh Arnold
Hopefully she took it as a compliment.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
Don't you love it. The cartoons. When the.
Josh Arnold
Oh, yes, yes.
Bob Kevoian
When the. The wolf goes after the ladies.
Tom Griswold
Well, yeah, but he. He can't help it.
Pat Godwin
He.
Tom Griswold
He thinks she's so attractive. He hits himself in the head with a frying pan. He can't help.
Josh Arnold
The only thing that will help. Yeah, that situation is hitting yourself in the head with a.
Christy Lee
So is that where the wolf whistle came from? From the cartoons, or did it text?
Donnie Baker
Avery.
Josh Arnold
Had a lot to do with at least perpetuating.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah, sure. Now I have a letter.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, go ahead.
Christy Lee
This is. It's confirming what you brought up yesterday. This is from my cousin Amy. She said listening on delay. Sadly, she didn't hear it live, but she sent us a photograph. She lives on Lake Murray in South Carolina. There are her binoculars right next to the door where she can look out over the lake.
Bob Kevoian
Again, my contention is if you have a lake house, you have to have a pair of binoculars.
Christy Lee
I think there's two right there.
Josh Arnold
Nothing that's going on there. Yeah, there's a chalkboard, one of those chalkboards that says lake life, as if living on a lake isn't lake life enough.
Bob Kevoian
You got to remind yourself there's something about this.
Tom Griswold
Oh, there it is. It's lake life. That's right.
Josh Arnold
I don't like the different colored straws and the.
Pat Godwin
It's worked.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. You got to stick with one color.
Christy Lee
They have a love.
Bob Kevoian
Wait a minute, wait a minute. There's booze in the bottom shelf. Good iPad.
Tom Griswold
You got your tito.
Christy Lee
Yeah, we stopped there on the way to South Carolina. They have a beautiful home on a lovely lake and. Yes.
Bob Kevoian
So are there gators in the lake?
Christy Lee
I don't know. I didn't ask.
Bob Kevoian
In South Carolina.
Christy Lee
Yeah. It's a big lake.
Bob Kevoian
I'm guessing they're gators.
Christy Lee
You think?
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah. That sounds like toothpick wisdom.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. If there are gators in there, maybe write that on the chalkboard as opposed to.
Jess Hooker
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, warn us.
Bob Kevoian
Maybe. Maybe a needle point saying, look out for the gators.
Christy Lee
I never said a word about gators.
Tom Griswold
Pillow. Yeah,
Christy Lee
but you were probably correct. A lot of people in lakes have binoculars, I guess, to look at.
Bob Kevoian
Well, you guys are asking why I would have binoculars, and when we lived in the lake, we had binoculars. Sometimes you want to go look, watch the weather coming in. Oh, look, there's a water spout.
Pat Godwin
You can see with the naked eye, can't you?
Josh Arnold
Ought to get a look.
Tom Griswold
See? Let me get a look at that.
Bob Kevoian
There's a rowboat out there by the water. Spout. Oh, call the coast guard. Now let's move from boats to cars.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Tom Griswold
All right.
Bob Kevoian
This comes to us from Chris in Cincinnati. I was at a car show in Piqua, Ohio, over the weekend.
Tom Griswold
Nice, Miami county. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
It's a small mall with only a few stores and a small food court. A Mexican restaurant in an arcade. One of my buddies I was showing cars with couldn't remember the word for arcade. So he said, you know the casino for kids.
Christy Lee
That's funny.
Bob Kevoian
Apparently somebody must have a gambling realm.
Christy Lee
What kind of car is he showing?
Bob Kevoian
Doesn't say. He's a great weekend.
Tom Griswold
Somebody's in the market. She's getting the itch.
Bob Kevoian
My teammates took home five trophies for our cars.
Christy Lee
Oh, nice.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. It doesn't say what kind of cars there were, but it must have been very nice to win the trophies. Well, thank you very much, Chris. We certainly appreciate it.
Tom Griswold
The name of the mall and pick with a. Pick with something.
Donnie Baker
Mall.
Tom Griswold
The Pickwick, Upper Valley, Springfield.
Bob Kevoian
Now, we also had an interesting story yesterday about a new invention in Japan that is a.
Christy Lee
The human refrigerator.
Bob Kevoian
It's called a human refrigerator. It's a smart idea in case you're over.
Christy Lee
If you have overheated.
Bob Kevoian
Have you ever seen those things where someone comes into a hospital and they're having heat stroke and they basically cover them with ice?
Christy Lee
I have not.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, but anyway, it works pretty well.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I've seen it on TV shows. I don't know what goes on in real life.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, they gotta cool you off. So this is a.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
This is a refrigerator that a human gets in it and it cools them down.
Tom Griswold
Well, but. But that's not totally accurate. He doesn't get in the refrigerator. It kind of. The refrigerator forms around him. He doesn't have to move out, move a jar of mayonnaise to get into the refrigerator.
Josh Arnold
But it's not.
Tom Griswold
I mean, it's more of a form fitting thing.
Josh Arnold
A cooling pod, I think.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
It's a somewhat non.
Tom Griswold
You're making.
Bob Kevoian
It's a somewhat non. Traditional refrigerator.
Tom Griswold
Yes. You can't. I'll stack it in the kitchen.
Christy Lee
A Japanese company has developed a human sized refrigerator to help people combat the oppressive summer heat.
Bob Kevoian
It's called the Hyman box, by the way, which seems to me to be kind of redundant.
Christy Lee
The dohaiman box.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Christy Lee
A one person cooling booth that maintains a temperature of 59 degrees Fahrenheit. When a person gets into the box, the air has been chilled to around 40 degrees. It blows out towards your head, neck, shoulders and back for instant relief.
Josh Arnold
See, I don't think there. This doesn't sound like it's marketed as a. We're gonna save somebody's life at a concert because they overheated. This is. Are you a millionaire? And you want. And you're a little hot.
Tom Griswold
This is a vanity thing.
Christy Lee
I feel noticeably cooler. Around five minutes.
Bob Kevoian
We have to do a cra. It is. It looks. Have you seen a picture of this thing?
Tom Griswold
It does look like a refrigerator.
Bob Kevoian
It looks like a phone booth.
Christy Lee
Okay, sure.
Bob Kevoian
With. It's mounted on wheels with a glass door. It is a refrigerator.
Tom Griswold
So you need a buddy if you're going somewhere because you can't get in it and then move. You have to get in it and then they wheel.
Josh Arnold
Oh, it looks like a restaurant refrigerator.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, it's big enough.
Bob Kevoian
This lady's sitting down in it.
Tom Griswold
Well, it looks just like a Porta John, only it's very, very good. A cooler thing.
Josh Arnold
Stainless steel.
Bob Kevoian
Yes. It's got clear, clean angles, lines. It looks like a very nice high end refrigerator.
Christy Lee
Sells for about ten grand.
Bob Kevoian
But my point was, I said this is a great thing. Be great to have at a concert for people that were having heat stroke. They'd get in the fridge or I mean, if they had one of these. If you're been at Disney world when it's 100 degrees.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah, it's brutal.
Josh Arnold
That's what the hall of Presidents is for.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
You know, that's the walk in refrigerator at Disney World.
Bob Kevoian
You know, that's my favorite ride.
Tom Griswold
And It's A Small World.
Bob Kevoian
It's not a ride, it's a presentation.
Josh Arnold
Barely an attraction.
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
And because there's nothing attracting about it.
Tom Griswold
Years I've been talking Abraham Lincoln.
Bob Kevoian
For years I've been trying to convince the people at Disney to do the hall of Vice Presidents.
Tom Griswold
Orangey Harding.
Bob Kevoian
They have no interest.
Tom Griswold
By the way, congrats, Millard Fillmore.
Bob Kevoian
I don't know the exact number here, but our current vice president just had a baby. Had a baby. And I wanted to say it's fourth, but it's the first time a vice 150 years sitting vice president's had a kid.
Christy Lee
That's exactly right.
Tom Griswold
No kidding.
Bob Kevoian
So whatever your politics are, I had no idea.
Josh Arnold
Always excited.
Tom Griswold
I saw some video of the vice president doing some sort of charity work at a food bank or whatever wearing a hairnet. He looked very nice.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Wearing the hairnet.
Bob Kevoian
Don't you think if you're a vice president and they hand you the hair net, your handler would go optics? No optics.
Christy Lee
Well, but it shows that he's worried.
Tom Griswold
I know, but he wasn't wearing a beard net, just the hair net.
Josh Arnold
Oh.
Tom Griswold
And he has a robust beard.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. Maybe you draw the line at looking ridiculous.
Josh Arnold
Well, you get. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
So anyway, back to the human refrigerator.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
This would be perfect for, like, at Disney World. Wouldn't you pay 10 bucks when you're. When I have been. The hottest I've ever been in my life was at Disney World.
Josh Arnold
I would not.
Pat Godwin
They had those spray things, though.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, that's not even Mr.
Christy Lee
Things.
Bob Kevoian
If I could go sit in. What I'd like to do is have a place where they would take your clothes, wash them.
Pat Godwin
Oh, my God. Where do you go naked?
Christy Lee
Why don't you just go back to the hotel?
Josh Arnold
You're looking for Howard Hughes World. Disney World.
Tom Griswold
You have. You have absolutely in correlation the worst ideas. What you think are the best ideas.
Jess Hooker
No.
Bob Kevoian
If there was a place you could
Tom Griswold
go in the entire.
Josh Arnold
I would not pay 10 bucks.
Donnie Baker
No.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I called off 30 seconds later. Hot again.
Christy Lee
Exactly.
Tom Griswold
And I got another 10 bucks.
Bob Kevoian
One of the things. There's not enough shade there. This is also true at the state fair. There's not enough places where there's shade.
Tom Griswold
See here him. Hear him. He thinks he's really got a handle on something, and he doesn't. They need more shade.
Josh Arnold
They're not going to plant trees. Where they have big state fairs.
Bob Kevoian
Typically, there's. They have like, a pup tent that four people can sit under while eating an ice cream cone.
Tom Griswold
I've never seen a pup tent at any state fair in the United States.
Bob Kevoian
The point is, I. I think that this human refrigerator is a great idea. I mean, if you were at Disney world, I'd pay 10 bucks to sit in this thing for 20 minutes.
Tom Griswold
You're insane.
Bob Kevoian
But this is for. People could be in danger.
Josh Arnold
Right? But they're not marketing.
Christy Lee
Yeah, they're not.
Bob Kevoian
But my point is.
Josh Arnold
This is invalid.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
I want to get to my letter, which I haven't even touched it.
Tom Griswold
Oh, my God.
Josh Arnold
Well, that's your fault.
Bob Kevoian
I was making the point that William the Refrigerator Perry.
Tom Griswold
Oh, son of a bitch. With this again. As Josh would say. Come on. With this.
Bob Kevoian
William the Refrigerator Perry. Now, there may be some of our guests who don't know who the fridge was in my mind. Probably one of the great. First of all, one of the only defensive players. What is defensive line?
Tom Griswold
Whatever you want to say.
Bob Kevoian
Score a touchdown while playing for offense.
Tom Griswold
Absolutely unbelievable. Just an amazing human being.
Bob Kevoian
Quite the hoofer. If you saw the super bowl shuffle, I Think he certainly is an outstanding dancer.
Tom Griswold
Dance. Yes.
Josh Arnold
One with the old soft shoe, but
Bob Kevoian
I would say that's certainly one of the great nicknames in the NFL. Come on, it's got to be top 10, don't you think?
Tom Griswold
It's really, really an easy.
Bob Kevoian
So the point is, if you're known as the Refrigerator, why wouldn't you hire this guy? Dear Bob and Tom show writes Brian, you are asking, what is William the Refrigerator Perry doing right now?
Josh Arnold
If we really wanted to know, Brian, we would have Googled it.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
And in fact, I think Christie did.
Pat Godwin
That was going to be a joke.
Bob Kevoian
He's running.
Josh Arnold
Oh, see, Brian, I take it all back. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
All of a sudden, as often the case, you are a comedic genius. We jumped far too early. But then.
Bob Kevoian
Then I got this other letter. Apparently the fridge is out there working.
Ace Cosby
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
This guy had a chance to meet him.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, well, every now and then you'll get someone whose nicknames are a refrigerator. He might have some investments gone wrong. Every now and then, I would think.
Bob Kevoian
You know, this guy actually met William the Refrigerator Perry. He's got a brick company with his brother.
Josh Arnold
How about that?
Bob Kevoian
He was real mice. I'll dig that letter up for you in just a second.
Tom Griswold
Do they build brick? Let's see. My sister, my dad, and I got to meet William the Refrigerator Perry. My nephews and I will have some pretty cool signed NFL cards for Christmas this year. Don't tell them I'm going to give it. This is from Facebook from somebody. I won't. Won't say who it is. Also somewhere around Chicago. Oh, Joliet Catholic. He was signing football cards here.
Bob Kevoian
This is from Solomon in Ocala, Florida.
Tom Griswold
Very wise.
Bob Kevoian
He goes, I listen to your show at night before I go to bed. I met the Fridge in South Carolina. He and his brother own a brick company. I was there getting a load of bricks to take to Colorado.
Tom Griswold
Now, now, wait a minute.
Bob Kevoian
I got lots of questions here.
Tom Griswold
Hang on a second. The refrigerator owns a brick company? Is that what you. That's interesting.
Bob Kevoian
But here's my question.
Christy Lee
Travel all the way to South Carolina.
Bob Kevoian
These must be some bricks, because I. Assuming these are bricks of reefer. I don't know. No, no, I'm kidding.
Tom Griswold
I.
Bob Kevoian
That is. They must be some exotic bricks.
Christy Lee
Must be.
Bob Kevoian
I'm sure you can buy bricks in
Tom Griswold
Colorado now if you've made some. The Refrigerator Perry, please get a hold of us and tell us your story about how you met Jason.
Bob Kevoian
We got to get him on the phone. When a fridge was what, like 6, 5 3, 50 or something.
Tom Griswold
Give or take.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. Big guy. I had a great college career. He'd been nicknamed the Fridge his entire life.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
And one of the. The famous. What was it, 85 bears.
Tom Griswold
Yep.
Bob Kevoian
Super bowl winners that they're still talking about in Chicago.
Tom Griswold
Yep. Like 48 to 10 or something. 52 to 3. Beat the Patriots.
Bob Kevoian
According to Solomon. I was getting a load of bricks to take to Colorado. He was joking with me because I had a New York Giants hat on. Cool letter, Solomon.
Tom Griswold
Thank you very much. Hey, the Fridge will give you the business if you ain't got a bear's hat on. Oh, yeah. You know, I don't want any of that.
Bob Kevoian
I called it messing with the Fridge. Anybody messing with the kid? Nothing. Pat. At least you would have recognized that.
Pat Godwin
Recognize it?
Bob Kevoian
The melody's similar to the one. Perhaps the notes were wrong in the wrong sequence, the wrong key.
Tom Griswold
Now, Josh, the enthusiasm.
Bob Kevoian
The enthusiasm is.
Tom Griswold
Josh, have you ever met William the refrigerator parent?
Ace Cosby
No.
Josh Arnold
No. Which is why I have to live vicariously through our listener letters.
Tom Griswold
Exactly. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Continue sending. You know what? Even if you've seen him on tv, I want to know about it.
Christy Lee
Apparently, he did a meet and greet with fans in aiken. What, on June 7th of this year?
Tom Griswold
He was just signing autographs two weeks ago.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Well, was he hounded by refrigerator companies wanting him to be the spokesperson?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
I don't understand.
Christy Lee
I'm trying to find out.
Josh Arnold
Because he's irrelevant.
Tom Griswold
Talk about top of mind.
Bob Kevoian
If you were a fine athlete, part of a Super bowl winning team, and your name was Ted Frisbee, the Frisbee people would want you as their spokesperson.
Josh Arnold
Maybe back then.
Tom Griswold
You know, Red Grange doesn't get a lot of offers to do commercials either.
Josh Arnold
No.
Pat Godwin
For crayons or nothing.
Bob Kevoian
Have we.
Tom Griswold
Who's the oldest sports figure doing NFL quarterback. I don't know.
Bob Kevoian
Doing commercials these days. There's some guys hanging in there. Do Mammoth.
Josh Arnold
Does some kind of.
Tom Griswold
Oh, you can get insurance.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Tom Griswold
While you sleep or something, right? Something like that. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
So he's, what, from what, 67?
Josh Arnold
And then he looks at the camera and goes. I just want to kiss you.
Tom Griswold
When we come back, you're saying what we're all thinking. That's Susie Colbert. Huh.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, we got an. We got an update on the great story we had yesterday about the guy that got kicked out of his. They won't let his truck into the place because of his slogan. And I want to think of something we can do. Truck guy. And we got a couple of updates about similar issues with slogans or non issues and.
Tom Griswold
Ladies and gentlemen, close circuit to everyone listening. We are trying to drive Josh mad. So please send us your. William. The refrigerator.
Josh Arnold
We might as well embrace it.
Tom Griswold
We might as well.
Bob Kevoian
The guy was great.
Josh Arnold
Didn't I?
Tom Griswold
Was.
Josh Arnold
I agree.
Tom Griswold
Was. Was.
Josh Arnold
I agree. It was fun.
Bob Kevoian
Was. You are telling me about was? Yes, but what's that, what's that maroon cap right there?
Tom Griswold
What does that say in private? I don't say. I don't trust it upon others.
Bob Kevoian
Does it say Washington Redskins? You was.
Josh Arnold
It's still a team.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. No, it's not.
Bob Kevoian
It was another. The Washington commanders. We're commanding you.
Tom Griswold
Your logic about arguing is.
Ace Cosby
I know.
Bob Kevoian
It is superior, isn't it? I admit it's very hard to disagree with me. I never care. Only one who disagrees with me is, well, everyone in my family and both my dogs.
Josh Arnold
But that's another.
Tom Griswold
If they want to be wrong, they'll disagree.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Ace Cosby
Very good.
Bob Kevoian
Right now if you want to be right. I was just actually just talking to Chick this morning.
Tom Griswold
Hi.
Bob Kevoian
About a friend of his who just sold his house.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
You want to give the numbers there?
Tom Griswold
Just. Well, let's just say, I don't know, six figures. And then it was well over north of $2 million in 10 years.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. So the point is, the average home in America in the last decade has more or less doubled. It depends on the situation, obviously. And if you had a house for about five years, it's up about, according to my reading, about 30 to 40%. Christie's the realtor around here.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
But the point of this is if you've, if you own your own house, you've owned it for a while, it may be worth more than it was when you bought it. Of course. And maybe you want to take out some of that equity without selling your house. That's what a refi can do for you. Even with the present day interest rates, it can still be worth your while. American Financing specializes in this. Among other things. They also do from the ground up mortgages these days. But American Financing right now has got a special program out there. Their average client is knocked about 800 bucks a month off that mortgage payment. How do they do it? We'll find out. It's a pretty simple math issue. They can tell you in about 10 minutes if it'll work for you. And by the way, no high pressure, no upfront fees. They have salary based consultants in the world of mortgages.
Pat Godwin
So find out.
Bob Kevoian
If you own your house, you want to grab some cash, maybe pay off some of those high interest credit cards, whatever it might be, it's your situation. I don't know what it is. But if you need some cash, this might be a great way to do it. 866-889-2611 is their phone number. I'd recommend just finding them on the Internet, which is real easy to do. If you go to americanfinancing.net American do me a favor, send us some love by doing a slash. Bob and Tom there. That's American financing.net bobandtom the number one more time is 866-889-2611. So might work out for you. I don't know your circumstances, but they can tell you in just a few minutes if it might. Once again, American financing.net nmls182334 nmlsconsumeraccess.org average savings based on borrowers who save over $200.
Ace Cosby
Thanks for listening to the Bob and Tom show this morning. Catch any part of the show you missed YouTube channel.

One thing I love about summer is how easy everything feels. The day is a little more relaxed and I find myself reaching for the same comfortable go anywhere pieces again and again. And that's why I keep coming back to Quint. They focus on well made essentials that naturally become those everyday staples you can actually live in all season long. I am actually spending my summer in the Italian Cami one piece bathing suit.
Jess Hooker
It's great.
Christy Lee
It looks like a tank under a beautiful linen shirt and paired with a pair of shorts or a skirt. But you're ready for the beach and you just throw on those Italian leather flip flops and you look great. But you're ready for anything and everything at Quint's, by the way, priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands. I love them. They work directly with ethical factories. Cut out the middleman. You're paying for exceptional quality, not brand markup. So make your summer wardrobe easier. Go to quince.com bobandtom for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. Christy Lee
I love a good highlighter, don't you?
Tom Griswold
And don't you think Tom Christie is a highlight?
Bob Kevoian
Don't you think? Yes.
Christy Lee
Oh, you guys are very.
Bob Kevoian
Her pleasant visage. Her mellifluous voice.
Tom Griswold
Of course, her.
Christy Lee
Do you need 20 bucks?
Tom Griswold
That's exactly what I meant.
Pat Godwin
I knew.
Tom Griswold
There's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey, Chick.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Pat. There's Josh Arnold. Chick, hey.
Josh Arnold
I can't help but notice you have a toothpick.
Tom Griswold
Well, I do. I have some tooth. Toothpick wisdom for you.
Josh Arnold
Is that right?
Tom Griswold
Coming up here in a second. There's Ace Cosby. I'm Chick mcgee. Hello.
Bob Kevoian
Tom, do you think that.
Tom Griswold
Go ahead, John.
Bob Kevoian
When you take your car in to get fixed, huh? If the mechanic walks up to you and has a toothpick in his mouth, it's going to be more expensive.
Tom Griswold
No, no, I get.
Josh Arnold
I totally get. What's.
Christy Lee
I think.
Bob Kevoian
I think it's. He realizes I'm going to be here for a minute.
Josh Arnold
Right.
Bob Kevoian
Explaining why we have to replace the flange modulator. And that requires removing the engine.
Josh Arnold
Yes. Price aside, if I see a mechanic with a toothpick, I think better.
Christy Lee
Yeah, you do.
Tom Griswold
Absolutely.
Josh Arnold
More skill.
Bob Kevoian
I'm not being critical. In other words, the mechanic is going to have to explain a little something,
Josh Arnold
but I do think there'll be some fiddling with. Well, you know, we're going to have to.
Bob Kevoian
Well, Mr. Arnold, I noticed you haven't had your oil change in 78,000 miles.
Josh Arnold
Well, I read it was a myth.
Bob Kevoian
Opened her up and opened her up. It looked like mayonnaise in there.
Josh Arnold
Oh, actually, there is some mayonnaise.
Bob Kevoian
I see. Did you spill a little bit?
Tom Griswold
Did you know to make a nice sandwich on my man?
Bob Kevoian
So you have some wisdom for you.
Josh Arnold
Oh, great.
Tom Griswold
Oh, I sound like Matthew McConaughey.
Bob Kevoian
A little extra stoned.
Tom Griswold
Now, Tom, there are three ways to hunt a bear, right? You got your spot in stock, you got your baiting. Oh, and then your hound hunting. I recommend hound hunting.
Bob Kevoian
Now, why is that?
Tom Griswold
Well, that's where you get the rugged mountains, thick swamps, the Great Lakes, Appalachian parts of the West. Especially trained tracking dogs.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah. They find a fresh scent trail and chase that bear until it climbs a tree. That's when you kill it.
Josh Arnold
I see. So you kind of let the hound do most of the work.
Tom Griswold
That's exactly right.
Bob Kevoian
Now, what.
Josh Arnold
This has been toothpick wisdom.
Bob Kevoian
How do we kill it?
Tom Griswold
What do you mean? It's up to you. Yeah. What? You know what?
Josh Arnold
You don't Climb up the tree and stab it.
Pat Godwin
No, no.
Tom Griswold
You know how you kill a bear? You tell them one of your stories and it dies of boredom. Is how.
Josh Arnold
You ever seen a bear willfully swan
Bob Kevoian
dive off the top of the tree?
Tom Griswold
Oh, no, no. I can't stand it. Shut up.
Josh Arnold
Refrigerator Perry was what he used.
Bob Kevoian
I want. I want Refrigerator Perry on the phone.
Josh Arnold
No, no, no. Let's go.
Pat Godwin
Let's.
Tom Griswold
If we're gonna do it, let's get him in this.
Josh Arnold
We want him sitting in there.
Tom Griswold
Right there.
Bob Kevoian
The fridge.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yes. We have a ramp.
Bob Kevoian
Well, once again.
Tom Griswold
Oh, like he's not gonna need a little help. He played football since he was 2. The knees aren't what they used to be. Well, look, I'm just guessing.
Bob Kevoian
When you weigh 350.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, he was called the travel cooler back then.
Bob Kevoian
Now, I got this nice letter from Doyle. We're getting some good names today.
Tom Griswold
Hi, Doyle.
Josh Arnold
We're also getting some good jokes, if you would just take the time to listen to it.
Tom Griswold
Slow down.
Josh Arnold
The travel Cooler.
Tom Griswold
Don't get caught up.
Josh Arnold
Rushing right into Doyle's arms.
Christy Lee
It was very funny.
Bob Kevoian
So you're saying that when he was in junior high school, he was William the. What was it again?
Tom Griswold
Travel cooler.
Bob Kevoian
Travel cooler.
Josh Arnold
Peewee football, which is what Chick was saying.
Bob Kevoian
I say. Oh, I see.
Christy Lee
Ah.
Bob Kevoian
And it was the ice chest back in the day.
Tom Griswold
See, now I can't help but notice that you're being a little. Critical?
Bob Kevoian
Condescending. Okay, now I would like to go with our guest, Doyle.
Josh Arnold
He's a card. Huh?
Bob Kevoian
Tarpon spring.
Josh Arnold
Oh, again, good jokes happening over.
Bob Kevoian
Isn't that Hoyle oil?
Christy Lee
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Oh.
Tom Griswold
Oh, really? Are you above a near rhyme for a pun?
Josh Arnold
No, he. I. I did the. It was Doyle.
Bob Kevoian
I'm sorry.
Josh Arnold
We.
Tom Griswold
We stand. Correction.
Bob Kevoian
Doyle writes, hello from Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Tom Griswold
I always think that looks like Tampon Springs to me.
Christy Lee
I am. I agree.
Tom Griswold
It does.
Christy Lee
I'm sorry.
Tom Griswold
It does.
Bob Kevoian
I always think it is. Great fishing. Well, we were lucky.
Tom Griswold
Now no one will be on the show. From Tarpon Spring. Way to go.
Bob Kevoian
Well, I'm just glad that you make the juvenile connection between tarpon and tampon. That's nice. Would you like to do various breads? Would you like to do some. Some toothpick wisdom about feminine hygiene?
Pat Godwin
Oh, I don't want to hear that.
Tom Griswold
I don't trust anything that bleeds. Yeah, that. That nugget.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Thank you.
Josh Arnold
There are two way. Three ways to take care of a woman's menstrual side.
Ace Cosby
Right?
Josh Arnold
Tampons, pads, and hound Hunting.
Bob Kevoian
Well, if you're just joining us, take
Tom Griswold
her on a hound.
Bob Kevoian
That was referencing a previous.
Josh Arnold
Oh, for God's sake. It was three minutes ago.
Tom Griswold
Jesus.
Bob Kevoian
Hello from Tarpon Springs, Florida. We were lucky enough to see two friends of the show last weekend. They were both outstanding.
Tom Griswold
Who was it this time?
Bob Kevoian
The only reason I'm reading this is because of the. The. Toward the end you'll see why. This is something that I think only Chick and I will appreciate. However, I'm going to pursue. I'm going to push on.
Josh Arnold
Sorry.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, we saw Nick Griffin at Snappers in Palm Harbor. Snappers. And Saturday we saw Greg Warren at side Splitters in Tampa.
Christy Lee
Nice.
Bob Kevoian
By the way, Greg has a new 10 minutes on marching band. It's the best I've ever seen. I hope he turns this into another special. By the way, his walk up music was. Ladies and gentlemen.
Tom Griswold
Jesus.
Bob Kevoian
Ladies and gentlemen, one of my very favorites. Wally Bryson on the guitar, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, that Wally. Oh, great sound. Nice setting of the guitar.
Pat Godwin
I agree.
Bob Kevoian
You know what this is, Christy?
Christy Lee
I heard it.
Bob Kevoian
Watch it switch gears. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It's the great Eric Carmen and the Raspberries.
Tom Griswold
Go all the Way.
Bob Kevoian
Great song. Just amazing. Everything about that song is perfect.
Tom Griswold
Except for the vocal.
Ace Cosby
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
What do you mean except for the vocal?
Tom Griswold
That's not everybody playing. Except for the vocal.
Bob Kevoian
No, it's a great vocal.
Pat Godwin
It's a little weird.
Bob Kevoian
And of course, Eric Carmen's hair looks great on the album cover. Yes, he always had nice hair.
Tom Griswold
Big wig, no football helmet.
Christy Lee
Greg Warren's gonna be doing a new special soon.
Bob Kevoian
All right.
Christy Lee
He announced it yesterday.
Bob Kevoian
That's very nice.
Tom Griswold
Who's this?
Christy Lee
Yeah, Greg Warren.
Bob Kevoian
Greg's got a great one out there right now. What does he have three of them out there floating? I certainly would recommend them, but. Thank you, Doyle and Jamie. Doyle and Jamie. Recommending two great comedian friends of ours, Nick Griffin and Greg Warren. We appreciate it. And anytime you can hear some raspberries, I suggest you get into it. Great band now. Okay, coming up in the news, Chris Steeley.
Josh Arnold
What do you got over there?
Christy Lee
Coming up we have the Internet famous raccoon, Jimothy.
Tom Griswold
My God, what did we do?
Bob Kevoian
And in sports, what's coming up?
Josh Arnold
Sports?
Tom Griswold
Bain celebrated their World cup championship. We got some stuff. Big doings at the NCAA or are they? University of Michigan gonna be looking for a new athletic director. And Alex Bilal won the Music City Grand Prix yesterday in Nashville.
Bob Kevoian
They shortened it.
Tom Griswold
Yep.
Bob Kevoian
You know how I know that?
Tom Griswold
It was only two laps.
Bob Kevoian
I Came in to watch the end and it was over.
Tom Griswold
It was already over.
Bob Kevoian
Congratulations.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Christy Lee
David Maluca's had the race of his life. That poor kid. He is gonna win and start winning and never stop. But. And you know he's gonna last a third.
Bob Kevoian
I've already got a gig for him.
Christy Lee
What?
Bob Kevoian
I think he should work for one of the cold remedies so he could be Mucus Malucas. What do you think? No. No. Okay.
Tom Griswold
Sorry.
Christy Lee
He's a funny guy, though. You'd like him.
Bob Kevoian
I know I've interviewed him a couple times. That's. That's all coming up as is more mucus. From the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Ace Cosby

I will always have a complicated relationship with this game, but people evolve. So do sports. Do not make me regret this. Do not make me devolve back to that guy that so many clones wish that I still was. And do not embarrass the entire country. Now, now I can go back. I can get there fast. Lose tonight and you got a real problem. Do not blow it.

Tom Griswold
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. It's Christy Lee at the news desk. Hi, There's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hello, Chick.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Pat. There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi there.
Tom Griswold
There's Ace Cosby. Lou, I'm Chick McGee. The sports desk sponsored by NHTSA. Remember, speeding catches up with you. Slow down. This message from NHTSA. Hello, Tom.
Bob Kevoian
Hello, Chick McGee. You've ever noticed that sometimes when you're discussing something, people remember things just slightly different?
Tom Griswold
Telephone.
Bob Kevoian
Your memory telephone game. Yeah. So that seems to be occurring here with these letters. Before I get to them, I'll set this up by mentioning a news story we had yesterday. This is the story of a food truck that apparently has been banned from the state House in the state of Indiana.
Christy Lee
Smash Daddy's Burgers.
Bob Kevoian
This is from the Indianapolis Star. They report that Smash Daddy's Burgers, Fries, etc, which is a great name, which is a food truck, has been banned. It can't be a vendor anymore at the state House. And they go into the weeds here. And there was allegedly someone complained about their slogan, blah, blah, blah. There appears to be no. Who knows? I certainly don't know what actually happened, but I do know that it's a great food truck. And we have multiple sources on that, certainly. But the problem was the slogan. Apparently someone thought the slogan was offensive. My children have ears. The slogan was, you'll love our meat in your mouth.
Christy Lee
They're right.
Bob Kevoian
I think it's kind of silly. I wouldn't get too concerned about it. We suggested perhaps there are some other businesses that have more. What's the word I'm looking for here, Josh? The kind of suggestive double entendre I suggested perhaps maybe there could be a place that had. We like our tacos vertical. We won't muff your order at the Vertical Taco, but I don't have a problem.
Tom Griswold
That would be a great celebrity. Now I get a T shirt and
Bob Kevoian
everything, so I've got two letters that are referencing this. There was a grocery store called Farmer Jack's 40 years ago.
Tom Griswold
Oh, sure. Yeah. Well, go ahead.
Bob Kevoian
He goes. There was a hot news lady named Marilyn Turner who did their commercials with a very large animated farmer at the end of every commercial who'd say, you know what the farmer always says? And then the cartoon farmer would put his hands in his hips and say, you can't beat my meat. As teenage boys, we loved it. This is from Greg in Arizona. Okay, Greg, thank you. Now then, I've got this one in my high school. I. Well, this. Let me get to the. This kid probably got. Got kicked out of his school for mooning so much. By the way, there's a meat delivery company here. Their slogan is, nobody beats our meat. This is from Steve in Ashland, Kentucky. So that.
Tom Griswold
That one seems to be pretty prevalent. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Beating meat.
Bob Kevoian
And then. So these are both correct, you think?
Tom Griswold
What do you mean? You mean.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, these are different. They're two different businesses.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Apparently beating the meat seems to be the.
Christy Lee
The theme.
Bob Kevoian
The theme.
Tom Griswold
It's okay with me. It's okay with you?
Bob Kevoian
Okay. Yeah. So I guess they're okay. We have a new story coming up that references this in another way. It involves envelopes and.
Christy Lee
And, well, it's a fiance.
Bob Kevoian
Okay. Okay. There's.
Josh Arnold
There's love. There's.
Bob Kevoian
There is love involved.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Is there a misunderstanding? Did the two kids find each other right at the end?
Christy Lee
They've already found each other, sort of.
Bob Kevoian
We'll find out about that. That's all. That's all coming. If you'd like to reach us, we have something new. If you go to the Babatom website, you can just click and email us directly. That way, it's so simple.
Tom Griswold
Now, is that on my computer?
Bob Kevoian
This. Yes, as of today.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
They put the Internet on your computer.
Tom Griswold
That's exciting.
Bob Kevoian
Makes it very handy.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Check out the Bob and Tom website. And you can just buy what We're a click away. As Mick Jagger would say, just a click away. Don, do you have any more letters over there?
Tom Griswold
One more. It says, and this is right up Tom's alley. Dear Bob and Tom show Pacifically, Tom, I think of you every time I go pee. Tom, as a man of certain age, I experience bifurcation. Even if I'm not having a bifurcatory episode, I still think of you, Tom, when I urinate. That's Johnny from Joliet, Illinois.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, that'll happen.
Tom Griswold
Tom maintains he has a bifurcation sometimes as he's urinating.
Bob Kevoian
And when you do, you gotta. You gotta keep your eye on it.
Tom Griswold
I say it might be. Might be a stray hair. I don't think it has anything to do with the structural integrity of your penis. But you think there's some sort of weird thing.
Bob Kevoian
Regardless, work one, you have to pay attention because you. If you got it, you got to choose which one of these is going to hit the hole.
Tom Griswold
Do you. In the middle of. How many times we all said that, right, fellas?
Bob Kevoian
As a general rule, the more serious stream is the one you do.
Tom Griswold
You keep it dark when you're sleeping. You got a little nightlight. Total dark. What do you do?
Christy Lee
Don't you guys have the toilet bowl lights that Oscar got you for Christmas?
Bob Kevoian
My house, throughout the house, there are night lights everywhere.
Tom Griswold
Lit up like Vegas.
Josh Arnold
Right?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
My question is, do you stand in the middle of the night to urinate or you sit down?
Bob Kevoian
It depends. As I said yesterday, I have a. I have a urinal, as you know.
Tom Griswold
Sure.
Bob Kevoian
In my. What do you call it? The proper.
Christy Lee
What's the.
Bob Kevoian
What's it called?
Christy Lee
Your primary suite?
Bob Kevoian
Primary.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
You can't call it the master bedroom. No, I have a urinal.
Tom Griswold
You know, you mentioning every time just kind of messes everything up. But go ahead.
Bob Kevoian
I'm just objecting to.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Yes. I often go to the urinal, but I'll lean against it, and it's. It's cool. I'll put my head on the plumbing on top.
Tom Griswold
Oh, man. Have you ever, like, gone out and got just drunk and laid in the bathroom floor and just realized how cool.
Christy Lee
Yeah. It is?
Tom Griswold
A toilet bowl is on your forehead.
Bob Kevoian
It is glorious. You get in your knees. You drive the porcelain bus.
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah. And there's nothing do you ever feel better than right after you vomit? I don't think so. It's really great. Yes.
Christy Lee
Hard to do it, but once you're done.
Tom Griswold
Oh, man.
Bob Kevoian
Well, I think there are many things that make me feel better than that in this life. I don't know. But sometimes I'll sit and I said, as I said yesterday, lately I've been having this encore thing. I'll get up in the middle of the night.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah, there's an encore heading back
Bob Kevoian
to the bed and go, wait a minute, wait a minute. I go back and they're bringing you back? Yeah, they're bringing back.
Christy Lee
You're not done.
Bob Kevoian
I hope he's going to play the hit.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Oh, I have that. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
I'll sit down now.
Tom Griswold
Absolutely.
Bob Kevoian
And you sit down, you talk and you don't care if it's bifurcating because it's just heading for the bowl.
Tom Griswold
What's the tuck part? You just stuff it down in there in the bowl. Is that what it is? What are you talking about?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, you know, you don't want it dangling over the edge and it just
Tom Griswold
doesn't flop in the bowl. So you can, you're. You're so massive. You have to lift it up with both hands to get it into the bowl.
Bob Kevoian
I can do it with one hand.
Tom Griswold
Spain's World cup winning soccer team returned home to Madrid. An estimated crowd of about 20. About 2 million 26 players. Their coaching staff met with the country's royals and with Prime Minister of Spain. Yeah, I didn't know either. His name's Pedro Sanchez. He arrived in the Spanish capital. Spanish, to me, a day after beating Argentina. That's what I was looking for. Something like that.
Bob Kevoian
That's like being named John Smith, right?
Tom Griswold
Pedro Sanchez.
Bob Kevoian
I mean, come on.
Tom Griswold
Am I right? Come on, who's with me, huh?
Bob Kevoian
You got Spanish names. Greatest hit there.
Christy Lee
It seemed like everybody's name was Martinez on the soccer team.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Christie's just having a little fun.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Well, the bus that the team boarded on it was an open top, big time parade through Madrid. And on the side of the bus it said stars shine together.
Christy Lee
Nice.
Tom Griswold
And had had pictures of all the soccer players on the side of the bus.
Pat Godwin
Wow.
Bob Kevoian
Were they on the bus?
Tom Griswold
That is quite the. Yes, they were on the bus. They were on the bus.
Christy Lee
No, they just put a bus.
Tom Griswold
You know what, though? But, but what a great question. You don't feel ashamed at all about asking such stupid questions at any time because in your mind you're illuminating.
Bob Kevoian
I'm just glad I Didn't have to be there or watch it or think about it.
Christy Lee
All right.
Bob Kevoian
Hey, look, there's a bus full of great.
Tom Griswold
Wasn't there anything you enjoyed about the World Cup? Anything at all?
Bob Kevoian
Not really.
Tom Griswold
Not a thing.
Bob Kevoian
The branch dressing thing was kind of funny.
Tom Griswold
I'm sorry. What about the Vikings?
Bob Kevoian
That was sweet.
Tom Griswold
I like that.
Bob Kevoian
Three months ago, I said soccer. I can't stand watching it. It's boring as. But I did learn a new term, and my analysis of the amount of interest I have in soccer is nil. See what I did there?
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Donnie Baker
I'm just.
Bob Kevoian
I'll admit lots of people like it. Good for them. I don't. Couldn't care less.
Tom Griswold
But, you know. You know, during going into this, you said your big contention was that people are acting like they enjoy it. That's really what was irritating.
Bob Kevoian
Yes. I think they're a lot.
Tom Griswold
Do you still say that?
Bob Kevoian
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Even though it seems like everyone actually did enjoy it. You're saying everyone. I.
Bob Kevoian
What did I. I heard there were, like, there were 12 NFL games last year that had higher ratings than the world.
Christy Lee
Really?
Tom Griswold
Well, yeah, but that's the NFL. That's right.
Bob Kevoian
It's much more interesting.
Christy Lee
Was that worldwide or just in the United States?
Josh Arnold
Well, that also means that the people interested were watching. If people were pretending to like it, there would have been more viewers. Only the people that wanted to tune in did so. Therefore, the ratings.
Bob Kevoian
I. I even heard one of the analysts actually reflective. I actually heard one of the analysts.
Tom Griswold
Oh, here he goes. Here, here.
Bob Kevoian
NBC yesterday said about the final game. Well, yeah, the first 50 minutes were kind of a snoozer.
Tom Griswold
I disagree.
Bob Kevoian
She was the analyst from.
Tom Griswold
Well, oh, oh, oh, you're going by a girl.
Christy Lee
Oh, here we go.
Bob Kevoian
She was on the.
Tom Griswold
She knew what she was doing. She was blonde.
Bob Kevoian
She was. She was a blonde. Lovely, lovely.
Pat Godwin
Very thin.
Tom Griswold
But she was a little chunky, right? About a couple pounds over 100 pounds. Oh, no. She did 102, 103 with those legs.
Bob Kevoian
One squeeze, okay, you'd be done.
Tom Griswold
She was. She was singing a song that Tommy wanted to hear.
Bob Kevoian
Very hot. But I was glad that she agreed with me about the boredom factor. What was that? Was that final score a lot of scoring?
Christy Lee
Was it one nothing?
Tom Griswold
One nothing. But it was tense for the whole. Amazing defensive strike.
Christy Lee
Went into extra time.
Tom Griswold
Incredible.
Bob Kevoian
I'm glad you guys enjoyed it.
Pat Godwin
One touchdown to six points.
Bob Kevoian
Christy, can you name a single player on the. On Spain.
Christy Lee
On Spain.
Bob Kevoian
We don't have all day. How about on. How about on yeah, Lionel Messi.
Christy Lee
Yeah, of course.
Tom Griswold
Please, Leonel.
Christy Lee
He's a train.
Pat Godwin
It's rich.
Bob Kevoian
Lionel Richie. He said he sings Lionel songs in Spanish.
Tom Griswold
And what's the deal with his face? Not messy.
Christy Lee
What's going on there?
Tom Griswold
His cheekbones are on his forehead.
Bob Kevoian
Little Beverly Hills. Little Beverly Hills surgery. Apparently he's a Jew.
Josh Arnold
I'm looking for. That's Leon. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Are you say we're looking for someone who's Jewish? What do you say?
Pat Godwin
He's a Jew. I'm looking for.
Tom Griswold
That's what I thought. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Well, I think we've really done some damage here. Congratulations, fellas. Let's move forward here.
Tom Griswold
Are we going to hear from Jimothy? Coming up, the. That weird. What is it?
Pat Godwin
A raccoon.
Christy Lee
Raccoon, yes, that's right.
Tom Griswold
The boys. And Timothy.
Bob Kevoian
Isn't this Rupert Holmes?
Pat Godwin
Yes. These guys are from Wilkesbury, Pennsylvania.
Tom Griswold
Oh, my God. I stop in reverse.
Josh Arnold
Okay, sorry.
Bob Kevoian
This is a song about eating a dog, right?
Ace Cosby
No.
Tom Griswold
Maybe.
Pat Godwin
No, it's a human being.
Bob Kevoian
They eat a human being.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. In the song.
Christy Lee
Don't you remember?
Pat Godwin
Miners Timothy.
Tom Griswold
Miners Timothy. My God, what did we do?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, okay, we'll get to that. Coming up now we got something coming up of interest in the news. You want to give me a tease here?
Christy Lee
Yes. We have a dog that was rescued. Rescued from us, from a bay. We have a semi naked Milk Snatcher. We have a new phrase from the Cambridge dictionary. Josh.
Tom Griswold
Milk Snatcher sounds a phrase. Really hot.
Christy Lee
Star wars stories, too, if you're a Star wars fan.
Tom Griswold
I just squirt it right in there. I like the Milk Snatchers. Oh, yeah. That's what I like. Now.
Bob Kevoian

Josh Arnold
not gonna make that for us.
Tom Griswold
I'm intrigued.
Josh Arnold
I mean, I'll try anything.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
And what is it?
Tom Griswold
Tube stick? Smothered underwear?
Bob Kevoian
I'm surprised Chick McGee is here because the Hemingway lookalike contest is taking place in Key west this weekend.
Tom Griswold
I'm leaving one o' clock this afternoon
Bob Kevoian
and we will touch on that, among many other things here in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Tom Griswold
Welcome back to the Bob and Tom show in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Chris Steeley at the news desk.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Tom Griswold
Hello. There's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey.
Tom Griswold
Hello. That's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey, you.
Tom Griswold
How's it going?
Pat Godwin
It's a better day, all right. Every day gets better.
Tom Griswold
Okay. There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
You guys are matching a little bit today.
Tom Griswold
Matching action.
Christy Lee
The Blues Brothers, the blue.
Josh Arnold
The, the Tommy's got blue on, too.
Tom Griswold
Shade of blue. Past tense of blue is blown. Isn't that right?
Josh Arnold
That is true.
Tom Griswold
Blown. There's Ace Cosby. Hello, I'm Chick McGee. Hello, Tom.
Bob Kevoian
Hello, Chick McGee. We're gonna visit the sports desk. I'll remind you of a couple quick things. We do have a something new. We're reconfiguring the website, et cetera, et cetera. We've got some cool new stuff on the way for the vip, but we have a new direct link. If you want to email us. You just go to bob and tom.com and click. You can get us, get us your letters. We love hearing from you. And we will be reading more of those letters, I'm sure, this morning. Thank you very much. Now, what have you got over there?
Tom Griswold
The University of Michigan, Arguably one of the best fight songs in his history of the world.
Bob Kevoian
That would start some arguments.
Tom Griswold
Conquering Heroes. It's pretty good. It's, it's unique. It's an Interesting.
Christy Lee
They all kind of sound the same.
Tom Griswold
Catchy, catchy. A lot of good lyrics, I think. Anyway, someone who won't be singing it anymore is the athletic director, Ward Manual. The university has agreed to buy out the remaining years on his contract and he'll step down at the end of the year. Man, this guy's following my dream. Here's some money, chick. Now go away.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Oh boy. And by the way, Ward Manual cannot drive a stick. Isn't that ironic? Ironic, thy name is Ward. A warm up jacket. Listen to me now, believe me later. A warm up jacket. I saw this a couple days ago and I couldn't believe it. And by gosh, I checked it as much as I'm capable and evidently it's legitimate. Wilt Chamberlain's warm up from 1972 NBA Finals, which the Lakers won. It was found in an Oregon Goodwill.
Josh Arnold
No way.
Tom Griswold
A gentleman by the name of Quinn Brown, a 19 year old Portland resident, bought it for $3 and it sold this past weekend for close to $100,000.
Josh Arnold
Nice.
Christy Lee
Wow, man.
Tom Griswold
How cool would that. I don't know. I don't know if I would have sold it.
Bob Kevoian
How did he know? Did it say Wilt on it?
Tom Griswold
It's very unique and if you see it, you go, this has to be real. The, the way it's shaped, the wear on it. I immediately saw it and thought I was kind of a Laker nut back then. And yeah, it, it's like that weird, you know, you're seven feet tall and it fit him. You know, it's amazing.
Bob Kevoian
I take a black light to that thing.
Tom Griswold
Didn't someone run the numbers and he would have to have sex with three women a day with ladies at halftime of the games?
Christy Lee
I think this is what it looked
Tom Griswold
like to get it done.
Christy Lee
See that?
Tom Griswold
See how unique that looks?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, that's cool.
Tom Griswold
Incredibly cool. The finger roll he wore. The headband.
Bob Kevoian
A short sleeve.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, the rare, the rare short sleeve. Warm up. Yeah. The 70s were a magical time.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, we. We spoke to Mr. Chamberlain when that book came out and, and I'm not sure if that was just a publicity stunt or if he had indeed he claimed that. Didn't he have a room that was just a giant bed?
Tom Griswold
I remember they do. They did a profile of him in the 70s when the Lakers won that championship. And he has a. Had a round bed on. On top of some hill overlooking Hollywood and he could roll out of his bed and go right into his pool.
Christy Lee
Nice.
Tom Griswold
And I thought, well, that's amazing. Little white trash chick saw that And I'm sorry, Chuck. And thought, my good. My goodness. Anyway, here's what happened. Quinn Brown bought it for $3 at the Oregon Goodwill, put it on social media and that's when as these things happen, it blew up. Sotheby's. Yes, that's Sotheby's contacted him about consigning it because they were. Their curiosity was like that looks legit. And by gosh, it was.
Bob Kevoian
Did he. Did he know that it was real?
Tom Griswold
Quinn? He suspected. That's why he. And that's also why he kind of put it on social media. To see what.
Bob Kevoian
And he put. He paid, would you say? Three bucks?
Tom Griswold
Three bucks.
Christy Lee
Nice.
Tom Griswold
Now you get a hundred thousand dollar return on a three buck investment. That's. That's bitcoin type of stuff.
Donnie Baker
It's not bad.
Tom Griswold
Not bad at all. Am I right, Tom?
Bob Kevoian
IRS is going to be looking into this.
Christy Lee
Well, could you let the kid have some fun for a minute?
Tom Griswold
So much for pretty. Pretty music and rainbows, right?
Bob Kevoian
Saying, well, blame the man, don't blame me.
Tom Griswold
Blame the. Blame the game, don't blame the player. Right. Is that backwards?
Christy Lee
Took the taxes out before they gave him the check anyway. They do I probably on a number like that.
Tom Griswold
I'm sure this Sotheby's.
Christy Lee
Probably.
Bob Kevoian
I don't think so. Remember the guy that.
Tom Griswold
Remember the guy.
Bob Kevoian
The one survivor that never paid the taxes, ended up in jail.
Christy Lee
That's a totally different.
Tom Griswold
No, no, no. But this illustrates perfectly how you argue about nine different topics at the same time and make it sound like it's the same legitimate reasoning. You're amazing.
Ace Cosby
Thank you.
Bob Kevoian
I should be in sales.
Tom Griswold
Hundreds of fellows who think they look like Ernest Hemingway are expected to gather in Key west this weekend for the 45th annual Hemingway Look Alike contest. The event honors the Nobel prize winning auteur who. And author, by the way, who lived in the Key west during the 30s.
Bob Kevoian
I've decided second place this year.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
We're going to hire him to come here and do Chick McGee appearances.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, why don't. They should just turn this into the chic McGee lookalike.
Tom Griswold
Hang on a second. Hang on. If I. So in other words, if I can get some sort of conversation compensation. Not 100%. I understand that.
Ace Cosby
It's like.
Bob Kevoian
It's like. It's like Steve Perry with Journey. He still. He still gets paid for their live shows, but he doesn't have to do them.
Tom Griswold
You give me 50% of the appearance fee, they can go out as 50.
Bob Kevoian
Seems a little heavy.
Josh Arnold
We got to go 40 dude, I
Bob Kevoian
was going to go.
Tom Griswold
I meant 65.
Pat Godwin
I don't think you can win anymore. You're too healthy looking.
Christy Lee
Yeah, you know what?
Tom Griswold
No, I have to. I'd have to bulk up.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, you would.
Bob Kevoian
I could bulk up or you could go for the post suicide. Have your head.
Tom Griswold
Okay now by my count. And I'm just casually keeping track.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
The last two stories. He is totally ruined with the taxes and now the suicide taxes. Does he think he's doing good work over there?
Bob Kevoian
That'd be a good Halloween costume for you next year. The post shotgun. Hemingway.
Christy Lee
Oh, my goodness.
Tom Griswold
Ketchum, Idaho.
Donnie Baker
Is that right?
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Is there something bad in ketchup, Idaho? Ketchup, Idaho. What is it?
Bob Kevoian
Ketchup.
Josh Arnold
It's like Hank. Hank. Ketchup.
Tom Griswold
Oh, Dennis the Menace. Dennis the Menace. Yes.
Bob Kevoian
The Fighting Keepums.
Tom Griswold
Contestants are judged on not only how closely they resemble Hemingway, but also in a sentence that Tom's written. We continue also on how well they capture his larger than life personality. The weekend celebration features several events, including the running of the bulls. Instead of real bulls, participants race through the streets pushing wooden sawhorses.
Bob Kevoian
Hemingway would be so. It would not.
Tom Griswold
He would love this. He would. He'd love it.
Josh Arnold
Wouldn't care for this. He was a minimalist.
Bob Kevoian
He'd be going, hey, fatso, nice beard. Get out of the way. Get rid of the sawhorse.
Tom Griswold
I just put up a picture of Hemingway and his driver, like Armando or something. And they were. They were constantly in graveyards, drinking wine, like graveyard, like all the time.
Josh Arnold
It's what they did.
Tom Griswold
What. That's how they hung out.
Bob Kevoian
He remember. He was. I forget what year, like 54 or something. He. He was in two separate plane crashes.
Christy Lee
Well, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
In Africa. Probably had. Yeah. He got shot during World War I. Yep.
Josh Arnold
Let alone the emotional.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
Scars.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
It was pretty rough.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Peritonitis or something. Barely. Almost lost his leg or something. I don't know. Oh, look, we've got a record. And actually, I endorse this 87%.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Stupid world record. Three new women's world records have been set at the lumberjack World Championship.
Christy Lee
Oh.
Tom Griswold
66 men and 40 women attended the three day competition in Hayward, Wisconsin this year. Carolina Irwinova from the Czech Republic broke a world record. She earned first place in the women's underhand chop, cutting through 11 inches of white pine in 21.28 seconds.
Bob Kevoian
Have you seen any of this stuff? It looks like this looks so incredibly dangerous.
Ace Cosby
All this stuff.
Christy Lee
I like where they're using axes and stuff.
Tom Griswold
Tom they ascend a log that's vertically and they chop a notch out and put a plank in there and step on it and chop and keep going up.
Josh Arnold
Crazy.
Tom Griswold
No, that's.
Bob Kevoian
It's amazing.
Tom Griswold
She broke another record after placing first in the women's standing chop, cutting through 9 inches of white pine and 9.1. 9.38.
Josh Arnold
What do you suppose.
Bob Kevoian
The first aid tent. I mean, they gotta be. They gotta be ready for some pretty massive lacerations.
Josh Arnold
And they may have a surgeon on site.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I don't know.
Christy Lee
Didn't Greg Hahn do this? Yeah, like, he was the.
Tom Griswold
Greg Hahn was the MC.
Bob Kevoian
Master of ceremonies. The guy with the suit.
Christy Lee
Right. I don't think he wore a suit. I think he wore a suit at the Lumberjack.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, it's all spangly, you know, like a Rod.
Josh Arnold
Roddy suit.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Now be honest.
Pat Godwin
Three piece.
Tom Griswold
You're making that up.
Josh Arnold
I mean, I hope it's true.
Pat Godwin
I hope it's true.
Bob Kevoian
He's not going to show up in a flannel shirt like one of the.
Josh Arnold
I think he may have.
Pat Godwin
Yeah. He didn't have a suit on.
Christy Lee
He didn't have a suit on.
Tom Griswold
Now, this next record she set. Tom, is this where they run across the logs on one?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. This is super cool. Do we have any of the video of this?
Tom Griswold
Meredith Ingratson of Hayward, Wisconsin, where they held the game, set a world record in the. What's called women's boom run, sprinting across logs on the water and back eight red cedar logs. She ran across in 13.7 seconds.
Josh Arnold
Whoa.
Bob Kevoian
And this is one of those things that sounds easy.
Josh Arnold
It's not. I got to try this once. You did impossible.
Tom Griswold
I don't know how they. They balance themselves spitting on logs like that.
Pat Godwin
I don't know.
Christy Lee
I did log rolling.
Tom Griswold
I don't know.
Christy Lee
Mad Dog Matus and I did it.
Josh Arnold
Isn't it hard?
Christy Lee
It's terrifying. Yes. We were in the water in seconds.
Josh Arnold
Exactly. Because we were able to start kind of holding onto a bar and then you let go of that to try.
Ace Cosby
I couldn't do.
Tom Griswold
I couldn't do it. Holding onto a bar. No way. Absolutely no way.
Bob Kevoian
Now, isn't the underhand chop the way your mom would compliment you when you were a little boy?
Christy Lee
What is an underhand chop?
Tom Griswold
Kind of violence?
Bob Kevoian
I think kind of a
Tom Griswold
violence and abuse.
Josh Arnold
Sure.
Tom Griswold
I've arrived at what you see before you, but still.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Did you watch it? Did you watch these on tv, Chris?
Christy Lee
No, I did. I missed.
Bob Kevoian
Wasn't on regular tv. It was. It was on the Internet. You had to log in.
Josh Arnold
My fear is that he. He thinks he's doing comedy.
Tom Griswold
I know. See? But I don't know what's happening.
Pat Godwin
Get it?
Christy Lee
Oh, we got it.
Tom Griswold
It's a login. The snake farm is there. I'm. I'm slowly being won over.
Josh Arnold
I had somebody ask me recently, does Tom really think those jokes are funny because he laughs so hard, or is he laughing because you guys are so upset and I just said, yes, yes.
Tom Griswold
And you know what? That is the correct answer.
Josh Arnold
Right, right, right.
Tom Griswold
Darn right. That's how the show works. Congratulations.
Bob Kevoian
Is that sports?
Tom Griswold
Yes, sir.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, thank you very much.
Tom Griswold
We got that girl. And something coming up.
Bob Kevoian
Christy Lee.
Christy Lee
Yeah, I got something coming up.
Tom Griswold
I got something.
Bob Kevoian
Give me the tease.
Christy Lee
Well, we have semen in the news.
Tom Griswold
Hello.
Christy Lee
Yeah, we have a big Star wars story.
Bob Kevoian
I see me. You don't mean hello, sailor. You mean where would we be?
Tom Griswold
Where would we all be right now without semen?
Christy Lee
We wouldn't be here.
Tom Griswold
Think about that.
Christy Lee
That's right.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Also, we got. Salsa is good for you. We'll tell you about that. And coffee's good for you.
Christy Lee
Salsa the dance, not salsa the food.
Bob Kevoian
Oh,
Tom Griswold
I can't dip my chips in a dance. What the hell?
Bob Kevoian
And did we do the one about the guy that had to be cut out of the public toilet? Okay, do we.
Tom Griswold
Do we have a David Rush record? I've been told. I don't see it.
Bob Kevoian
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Oh, you did not give it to me. Why don't you go ahead and be a special correspondent? Oh, nice.
Bob Kevoian
Now we'll do it when we come back.
Tom Griswold
All right.
Bob Kevoian
We'll come back.
Tom Griswold
Talk about a cliffhanger.
Bob Kevoian
My favorite David Rush on the way. These are the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Ace Cosby

Tom Griswold
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom show in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Christy Lee at the news desk.
Christy Lee
Hi.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hello, Chick.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi, there.
Tom Griswold
Hello. Ace Cosby. I'm Chick mcgee. Hello, Tom.
Bob Kevoian
Sorry, I got a fish burp, fish oil pill or. Yeah, and I forgot.
Josh Arnold
I have. I have some that don't. I'll send you the link. Yeah, they do not do that to me anymore, so this other kind.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, now, let's see. Where was I?
Josh Arnold
Oh, it's gonna be unpleasant.
Bob Kevoian
I have been asked to do a guest Spot here, Is that correct?
Tom Griswold
Yes. Time now with our guest reporter, Tom Griswold.
Bob Kevoian
Tom, A personal hero of mine, David Rush. Back in the news, David Rush has reclaimed the Guinness World Record for in this case, the most rolls of toilet paper balanced on the forehead.
Josh Arnold
All right, this is kind of fun.
Bob Kevoian
As you know, David Rush, we've spoke to him several times. Idaho, Idaho's own David Rush. He took back the title after balancing 195 rolls of toilet paper on his forehead.
Josh Arnold
What the.
Bob Kevoian
For 30 seconds.
Josh Arnold
Are they all pyramid it out now?
Bob Kevoian
Do we have the photograph?
Josh Arnold
Wait a minute.
Donnie Baker
How many?
Bob Kevoian
195.
Pat Godwin
That's impossible.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, they are pyramid.
Tom Griswold
Oh, so he has what, a piece of cardboard in between each level?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I don't like that.
Tom Griswold
No, I don't like it either.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, now he's balancing them.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, that's very difficult.
Tom Griswold
No, no.
Bob Kevoian
What do we know? You couldn't do this.
Tom Griswold
I think. I think I could.
Bob Kevoian
Now, is this your two ply? I don't know what the rules. He lost it there, but. Yeah, but he did it for he 30 seconds.
Josh Arnold
I'm all right with two ply. Two ply. Don't bother me. Don't bother me.
Tom Griswold
I was fascinated by a gentleman who was a cost cutter who liked a dollar, save money. He would get two ply toilet paper and peel it apart and use one ply that.
Bob Kevoian
He used a toothbrush in his fingernails a lot.
Tom Griswold
I'm just saying.
Bob Kevoian
And getting rid of the grit.
Christy Lee
Now, I think it should be stacked on top of each other.
Tom Griswold
Tall.
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
So not pyramid it out.
Bob Kevoian
Well, that's probably a separate record.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
I mean, come on, really?
Tom Griswold
Yes, but that's something to be celebrated. Not this manufacturer.
Donnie Baker
Are you kidding?
Bob Kevoian
He could go to Costco without a cart and check out 195 rolls of toilet paper.
Josh Arnold
No, I'll try the tall one.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, we'll get a video of. I'm gonna guess I can do. How long do I need to balance it?
Bob Kevoian
30 seconds.
Josh Arnold
30 seconds is what you want.
Bob Kevoian
That's what's required.
Ace Cosby
Right.
Christy Lee
He's on his. Was it on his head?
Tom Griswold
Are we going to set a record? Are we going to set a record? I say six days.
Christy Lee
Do you have a flat? You have a pretty flat noggin.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I was going to do forehead,
Christy Lee
but I can do forehead or head.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Josh, Christy thinks you have a flat head.
Christy Lee
He has a forehead.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, it's kind of on his forehead there.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Pizza delivery guy.
Tom Griswold
Where the hell is.
Bob Kevoian
He's got his arms spread out and he's balancing 195 rolls of toilet paper. It's amazing.
Josh Arnold
Is that one day. Take a break from the records and clean that house up.
Bob Kevoian
By the way, I got news for his son. Somebody's going as a mummy for Halloween.
Tom Griswold
You know what that was? That is. That's a gentleman who's lost the housekeeper.
Josh Arnold
I.
Tom Griswold
If, you know, maybe the way it
Josh Arnold
is, what it looks like.
Tom Griswold
That's exactly what it looks like.
Christy Lee
A single dad. Is that what you're saying?
Tom Griswold
That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm thinking. I don't know. I. I've. I've got some.
Pat Godwin
I don't see any kids around.
Tom Griswold
We got some experience.
Bob Kevoian
By the way, I want to show you the.
Christy Lee
Here.
Bob Kevoian
This is important. David Rush first captured the record in 2021 with 101 rolls of toilet paper, but lost it. Someone else pushed the record to 152. And he's just decimated the record. 195 rolls of toilet paper on his forehead.
Christy Lee
So what do you think you could do on your forehead?
Bob Kevoian
I say four, but you're talking stack them.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Just a tower.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, A tower.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
For 30 seconds. What do you think?
Jess Hooker
Six.
Josh Arnold
All right, so we got four. We got six.
Christy Lee
Boy, I don't know.
Tom Griswold
Eight.
Josh Arnold
Somebody's gonna have to be next to me on, like a step stool. Stacking them.
Donnie Baker
Nine.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Now what you could do is you could start with one of those really huge ones that they have it trucks.
Josh Arnold
All right, Right.
Bob Kevoian
And then. And then you get the. And you get the double one. Then you. That would make it easier.
Tom Griswold
Story about Charmin had like the forever toilet roll or something. It was as big around as a tractor tire. Remember that story?
Christy Lee
Yeah. Where would you.
Bob Kevoian
What was that for?
Christy Lee
Toilet paper holder you could never find.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
What would that be for?
Tom Griswold
You'd never have to change the roll of toilet paper at least once a year or something.
Bob Kevoian
I bet he's glad he did this before this diarrhea parasite hit.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Probably a shortage right now. Could be taxes.
Josh Arnold
I wonder if bidet sales went up during this suicide.
Tom Griswold
Diarrhea parasites.
Bob Kevoian
It's big in the news. They. Did you see that? They.
Christy Lee
Yeah, they've. They changed the lettuce now.
Bob Kevoian
Now they're saying it might not have been the lettuce after that big announcement.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Lawsuit.
Tom Griswold
What the hell? What. What's the new theory? Yeah, I know.
Christy Lee
They think it might even be something in the water that they sprayed on the vegetables.
Tom Griswold
So that's why I don't eat Vegetables.
Bob Kevoian
There you go. That's every. Every kid out there.
Christy Lee
Last week.
Bob Kevoian
Well, mom, it's nothing but hamburger and steak this week. French fries, India hot dog and fries. Okay, well, that's. No, that is. That's. That's officially sports. Christie Lee, what have you got over there?
Christy Lee
Well, we're going to talk toilets. The firefighters in Kansas City rescued a man who had gotten stuck inside a porta potty. Now, according to this story, the Kansas City firefighters were forced to cut apart the toilet after he somehow became trapped between the seats. Video footage of the incident shows first responders using an electric saw to slice through the plastic, instructing the distressed men on how to climb out. The rescue ended with firefighters successfully pulling the man out, hosing him down beside the fire truck. And it's not clear how he was trapped.
Josh Arnold
Right.
Christy Lee
But I'm kind of confused. Do we have any video on this or.
Bob Kevoian
He's. It's one of these things where the guy falls in.
Josh Arnold
Well, so he does fall in. Is that his arm dangle does fall in. No, it can't be his arm.
Christy Lee
No, it says here he was trapped in beneath the seat.
Tom Griswold
That does look like his arm. What is that hanging out of there?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, he's stuck in there. He's down in there.
Tom Griswold
Is that his arm?
Josh Arnold
No, no, it's not his arm. Isn't. It is a pipe looking thing? Yeah, it's like a hose that maybe they.
Tom Griswold
Oh, he's moving.
Christy Lee
That's part of his seat.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, that's his arm.
Josh Arnold
No, it isn't.
Tom Griswold
If that's his arm, he's his arm.
Josh Arnold
He has no hand.
Tom Griswold
If his arm. He's hideously deformed.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Right.
Bob Kevoian
Well, is he down? He's down in that hand.
Donnie Baker
Like a br.
Josh Arnold
Okay, Right, right.
Bob Kevoian
So somebody's down in that hole moving that thing up.
Josh Arnold
It's something for him to pull up and here. Yeah. How did this happen?
Bob Kevoian
I'm assuming the guy dropped his drugs down there. Why would you dive in? Why would you go down into a. Down into the toilet pit?
Christy Lee
Well, and it. It can't be a big space. It's a porta potty, right?
Bob Kevoian
No, it's. But it's. There's a big pit underneath there.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
What is he.
Christy Lee
There is a big pit.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Well, porta potties don't have a big pit.
Bob Kevoian
It's not all that portable.
Christy Lee
It's not that deep.
Josh Arnold
Some do, some don't. That tank underneath.
Pat Godwin
What was that? You see this?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
It's like a helmet.
Josh Arnold
It's like a piece of Plastic. That. But he is trying to get out.
Tom Griswold
That's his arm.
Pat Godwin
Sure.
Josh Arnold
You know, you can tell it's covered in.
Bob Kevoian
This guy is completely covered. Covered in feces.
Josh Arnold
This is terrible.
Bob Kevoian
I want to say I think he did the same. You know, for once, the firefighters are going, somebody light a match.
Christy Lee
But you see how far back they're standing there.
Josh Arnold
You know what happened to this guy? I think the way it looks now. So that's a broken piece of plastic underneath the seat. He may have been sitting there and that broke off.
Christy Lee
You know what? You're right.
Josh Arnold
And he fell right in.
Pat Godwin
I sure hope it just.
Josh Arnold
If so, this guy's an immediate millionaire, isn't he?
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I would sue the Porta Potty Company. I would sue the county, the city. I would sue poop.
Tom Griswold
The whole.
Pat Godwin
And no one's helping him.
Tom Griswold
The whole is.
Bob Kevoian
Firefighters are helping him.
Pat Godwin
No, they're not.
Josh Arnold
They're just standing there, standing there with their phones.
Tom Griswold
Don't you try to make these firefighters heroes.
Bob Kevoian
It probably smells so bad.
Josh Arnold
They're waiting for the clothes pins.
Bob Kevoian
Hey, Multoon, I'm gonna go get a kitty cat out of a tree. It looks like you get. You get this dude out of the poop pit.
Josh Arnold
It looks like our producer might have some info on this. Okay, so he didn't. That did not break on him. So we still don't know how he got into the tank. All right. The fireman cut open that part. That's broken.
Bob Kevoian
As it says. Christy written says it remains unclear how the man became trapped inside the portable.
Josh Arnold
He had to want to get down.
Pat Godwin
He was.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, I'm saying. I'm saying he dropped. Dropped his. He dropped his stash.
Josh Arnold
Right, right.
Christy Lee
This is my point. This is a portable one. So the.
Jess Hooker
The.
Josh Arnold
It's just not small chest.
Christy Lee
Yes, it's just a small area.
Josh Arnold
Right.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, so it's just the six inches deep. That's better than being neck deep, Right?
Christy Lee
Exactly.
Tom Griswold
I think given the choice. Yeah. You would want to be in a Porta Potty instead of like an outdoor toilet.
Christy Lee
Thank you, Chick.
Bob Kevoian
The one we had last week. The guy was in what they call a toilet vault.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Which doesn't look to be a vault, which was a.
Tom Griswold
That's like, sound like plethora. Oh, the toilet vault sounds like we're playing toilet oldies. Coming up. Coming out of the toilet vault. Here's a song.
Josh Arnold
Splish splash.
Tom Griswold
That's right. I was hot flopping and pooing.
Christy Lee
So anyway, so don't crawl into the porta Potty that way.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, I Lost a phone. These keep happening.
Christy Lee
I don't know. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Would you go into a porta. No. Grab your phone if you dropped it down.
Christy Lee
Everything's on the cloud.
Ace Cosby
Remember that.
Bob Kevoian
The one we had.
Tom Griswold
Don't snap.
Bob Kevoian
The one we had last week, which was the real deep pit and they said it was. It forms a film on top so it looks like it's not that deep. And the guy went into. What were they retrieving last time?
Christy Lee
Sunglasses.
Bob Kevoian
Sunglasses. Oh, that was right.
Josh Arnold
Yes, sunglasses.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, there's some very pricey sunglasses.
Josh Arnold
I know. I have prescription progressive sunglasses, but I'm not going. I'm still not.
Bob Kevoian
I don't care what your sunglasses politics are. This has nothing to do with it.
Josh Arnold
My sunglasses are very woke, very forward thing.
Jess Hooker
Thank you.
Tom Griswold
I have the American Communist Party sunglasses in there.
Bob Kevoian
Gus Hall's names right there.
Christy Lee
Well, that didn't creep you out? We have seamen coming up next.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
And Tom's going to make some jokes about death and taxes.
Bob Kevoian
Okay. If possible, these remain the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios and this is the Bob and Tom Show.

Tom Griswold
Hello, Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hello, Chick.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
I have a question for the room coming up.
Tom Griswold
All right, coming up, there's Ace Cosby.
Josh Arnold
Hello.
Tom Griswold
Hello. I'm Chick McGee and Tom. Josh has a question.
Donnie Baker
Fire away.
Josh Arnold
Let's say none of us have access to a swimming pool. A company comes and says, hey, we specialize in custom swimming pools. We do not make normal looking pools. They have to be shaped like something. We will give you one for free. What would you. What shape would you pick? Like what, Pat? Would you go with a guitar shape?
Christy Lee
Oh, that'd be cool.
Pat Godwin
That'd be a little hacky, but it's not a bad idea. I, I would do that. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
But that's the example.
Tom Griswold
That's what popped into my mind was a guitar. But then I thought, football shaped pool. There you go. Oh, okay. Yeah, that'd be a nice shape, right? A football.
Josh Arnold
It's almost a little too normal. Yes, but great. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
How about a bone? How about a dog pool?
Christy Lee
I do a flower.
Tom Griswold
Like a big bone.
Josh Arnold
I like bone. I do a flower.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Would you.
Christy Lee
It would go.
Tom Griswold
Oh, sweet.
Christy Lee
Nice little petals all the way around.
Tom Griswold
You know what? I'm gonna come visit your pool
Bob Kevoian
off the. Off the stem shaped diving board and.
Tom Griswold
And be glad. I'm just peeing.
Pat Godwin
Tom, what would you do?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, Tom, you got one of those rectangle pools, I bet.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
I don't. I don't know.
Christy Lee
Is yours rectangle or is it a kidney shape? What do you got?
Bob Kevoian
No, no, you got there a wave pool. It's your rectangle.
Christy Lee
What would you do?
Josh Arnold
Me?
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Maybe something like. Like a huge dollar sign. Like if I'm gonna do it.
Bob Kevoian
Scrooge McDuck.
Josh Arnold
Let's just. And by the way, it's like two lanes down the middle and that's cool.
Tom Griswold
I'll work with anybody to put a pool in my backyard. Just give me a call. That's Chick.
Donnie Baker
Hello.
Bob Kevoian
Hi.
Tom Griswold
I'm okay, go ahead.
Bob Kevoian
I wonder if someone's done that.
Josh Arnold
A dollar sign pool.
Tom Griswold
Sure.
Pat Godwin
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Tom Griswold
I mean, that sounds like something the comedian Rodney Dangerfield would do.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Or he might have done it in one of his movies. I don't know.
Josh Arnold
A skull. Like a big skull. And then like the eyes would be two islands. Like maybe swim up bars, kind of.
Tom Griswold
Oh, that's good.
Bob Kevoian
Or I imagine some of this stuff has probably been done.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Is it 61 unusual shapes for pool ideas is. Oh, there's a fish. There is a guitar.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Christy Lee
Dolphin.
Josh Arnold
Do you think anybody has, you know, the phallus? Two hot tubs.
Tom Griswold
Right.
Josh Arnold
With a pool.
Tom Griswold
Some adult. Adult cinema star must have one of those.
Christy Lee
There's Bubbles, the elephant pool. There's a cat. Man. There's quite a few different ideas here if that's something you're into. No, I want a kitty cat pool.
Josh Arnold
You just want a regular old pool.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah. It's a hassle. Enough to clean a square one. I don't want to.
Tom Griswold
How about the kid? How about a pool? Tom?
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Shaped like. Yeah, right. Or you're not. You're not a big cat guy, but you know, you could. Could be.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, the cat head with the ears and.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Didn't you say your daughters like kitty cats?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, one of them.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. There you go.
Bob Kevoian
We're not getting one.
Pat Godwin
Good for you.
Bob Kevoian
I took a poll with my dogs. We're not getting a cat.
Josh Arnold
Well, she can come visit mine.
Tom Griswold
Can you imagine behind the scenes with the dogs and they're all right. It's just a rumor right now, but have you heard? They're trying to get a cat.
Josh Arnold
Okay, what are we gonna do about.
Tom Griswold
We need to do something about this quick.
Josh Arnold
Remember the far side where the cat. The dog has set up the. The washing machine and the dryer.
Tom Griswold
Food.
Josh Arnold
He's written cat food. He doesn't know how to spell food.
Pat Godwin
Of course.
Josh Arnold
With cat food leading into the.
Tom Griswold
Standing up against the wall. Here comes the cat now.
Bob Kevoian
It's time to get back to the news desk. Christy, what's happening over there?
Christy Lee
A German court has ruled that a prisoner who sent his fiance semen covered letters was unfairly punished.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Why would he be punished at all?
Christy Lee
According to a German legal journal, the inmate was given a one week leisure ban after being caught setting paper pages containing, quote, bodily liquids from the intimate areas.
Jess Hooker
Whoops.
Christy Lee
A practice that was apparently common for him and his fiance.
Tom Griswold
Oh. Before things went south. They did this in a loving way, apparently.
Christy Lee
The prisoner argued that the punishment suppressed his sexual fantasies and violated his fundamental right to free personality development.
Josh Arnold
Oh, boy. Okay. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Prison authorities had argued that the fluid could endanger the health of staff. A court determined that the addition of semen turned the letter into a quote, unquote package. And since packages require a different type of permit before sending, he was unfairly punished.
Bob Kevoian
So it's a technicality. So he literally got off.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
On a technicality.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
I think the most interesting thing about this is it's nice to know people are still writing letters.
Josh Arnold
Isn't that nice?
Bob Kevoian
A lot of stars got that going for him, but the way it's written, it sounds like he's coating the outside of the envelope.
Josh Arnold
Maybe he's. That's how he's sealing the envelope, you know?
Christy Lee
But then it said inside. Oh, I'm sorry.
Josh Arnold
No, no. Yeah, boy.
Christy Lee
But then it had pages on the inside, so I don't know.
Tom Griswold
It's weird.
Josh Arnold
She loves it.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. It's interesting. It's flat and yet he's wadding it up.
Tom Griswold
That's right.
Pat Godwin
My baby
Tom Griswold
put my wad in the wad.
Christy Lee
So.
Bob Kevoian
Is that a thing?
Christy Lee
I mean, he said she sends it back, like her intimate stuff.
Josh Arnold
Oh, she might wipe with a piece.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. So I would. I would write more letters, but I'm very self conscious about my hand. I don't care for my handwriting, really. It's in my head.
Josh Arnold
I'm assuming your friendship is great.
Tom Griswold
It's less. Much less. I can sign my name. That's about it. Yeah. Wow. And then I don't, like. I do capitals and lowercase randomly. Something about a problem with authority. I'm not sure what that's all about.
Bob Kevoian
You're not going to tell me to put a capital out of there.
Tom Griswold
That's right.
Bob Kevoian
A lot of.
Tom Griswold
A lot of.
Bob Kevoian
A lot of rock and rollers do that.
Tom Griswold
I'll capital. I'll capitalize if I want to, too.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I'm all caps when I write.
Christy Lee
Are you really?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
All right.
Tom Griswold
My dad was all caps. He's dead.
Josh Arnold
I don't know what it means about your personality, but.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Does it mean I'm dead soon?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Leaped right.
Bob Kevoian
You're yelling. Would you ever consider sending a. Like a. One of your T shirts that you'd soiled, if you will, to a lady friend?
Josh Arnold
Boy, if she was like. If we were deep in a relationship and she was like, will you please send me one of those?
Tom Griswold
That would turn me on, man.
Pat Godwin
I guess.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, absolutely.
Bob Kevoian
I duh. I'd look for a new girlfriend.
Christy Lee
Would you?
Josh Arnold
You don't know what romance is.
Bob Kevoian
I know it isn't.
Tom Griswold
That's all it would take.
Bob Kevoian
It isn't an ejaculate encrusted T shirt. I know that much.
Tom Griswold
What would it say?
Christy Lee
That's how much she loves you.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Tom Griswold
What would the deal breaker. That would be the deal breaker.
Josh Arnold
What about just your boxers or your underwear? Rather she says, just, will you please. I'm going to be gone for two months and I just want. Will you please ups me a pair of your underwear?
Bob Kevoian
I'm out.
Tom Griswold
And what if. What if you say, hey, here's a recently worn shirt? How about that? I'll send that to you.
Pat Godwin
That's.
Christy Lee
That's.
Bob Kevoian
That's a borderline mental illness. But at least it's.
Tom Griswold
And then she refuses and go, no, I want your soiled under underwear.
Christy Lee
Wait a minute. Wait. Time out. So if I requested a T shirt that my husband had worn because I'm gonna be gone. You just said it was borderline.
Ace Cosby
No, no.
Bob Kevoian
When he. When he stepped it up to suddenly it's soiled underwear.
Pat Godwin
Oh, no, no. The T shirt's fine.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I've had. We've all had girls ask for that.
Pat Godwin
Oh, yeah?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Donnie Baker
I just.
Tom Griswold
This morning, a stranger walking to work. Hey, chick. It happens all the time.
Bob Kevoian
No, I know you. You have a sentimental tie that one of your brothers gave you that after he wore it. He sent you a video of him.
Tom Griswold
Wait a minute. What? I'm sorry. I kind of lost track of this scenario.
Josh Arnold
There's very little difference between the Arnold Boys and the Carradine boys. Is that what you're getting at?
Tom Griswold
And by the way, the Arnold boys weren't the ones hopping bed to bed naked during vacations in Michigan playing grab ass with each other.
Bob Kevoian
No one was the Griswold.
Tom Griswold
That was the Griswold boy.
Josh Arnold
My older brother is pooping. Maybe I'll go pee between his legs.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that's totally reasonable behavior.
Josh Arnold
That isn't incestuously homosexual.
Tom Griswold
Do you think we forgot all this? Good lord, no. It's true. It doesn't make it any better.
Bob Kevoian
You know, the pounding that I got was delicious. But it was a classic moment because he was just frozen in terror. Your brother's.
Josh Arnold
My brother's. I wouldn't have gotten that far buffing
Bob Kevoian
his sack with a tie.
Josh Arnold
That's not what you were going. You were going down the autoerotic asphyxiation.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, sorry. Let's just move forward. What's coming up in the news, Christy Lee?
Christy Lee
Coming up, we have Star wars news. We have a interesting prop that was sold at auction. We have a new exhibit and. And salsa classes could be good for your health as well as caffeine. We'll talk about that.
Bob Kevoian
Got some. Got some good coffee. News coming up, a cool story about a skydiving vicar. Know what a vicar is? Yeah. There you go. And if we get time, we've got that switched at birth lawsuit going on right now. That's very, very interesting. But first we check in with Chick Magee across the way.
Tom Griswold
Simply Safe. That's right. In the United States. Did you know there's a break in every 26 seconds? That means somewhere right now an intruder is getting closer to breaking in someone's home. Traditional home security only alerts you after a break. INS already happened and that is too late. Simply, Simply Safe is changing all of that. Using advanced AI alerts, SimpliSafe's US based live agents identify threats on your property and help deter them. So the intruder never gets into your house. The crime is stopped before it even starts. That's why I choose Simply Safe to secure my compound. And we choose it here at the Bob and Tom studios to keep everything nice and cozy and safe. No long term contracts. No lock INS or hidden cancellation fees. With Simplisafe, life happens. And if you need to change things up, there's no problem with Simplisafe. You're not trapped in a contract. And affordable pricing from Simplisafe. Monitoring and deterrence plans start at around a dollar a day. That's worth peace of mind knowing you can leave your home for vacation or if you hear a weird noise at night, you know you're protected. And the setup experience for me was so easy. And you know how well clumsy I can be. It was 1, 2, 3. The setup took about a half hour to install my very own security system. And you can, too. We'd like to you to experience the same peace of mind we do here at the Bob and Tom studios. Do and I do in my home. Which is why we've partnered with SimpliSafe to offer an exclusive discount for Bob and Tom listeners only. Bob Kevoian
Coming right back to the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Tom Griswold
Welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Christy Lee at the news desk.
Christy Lee
Well, hello there.
Tom Griswold
Hello there. There's, there's Pat Godwin. Hello, Pat.
Pat Godwin
Hi, Chick.
Tom Griswold
Hi. There's Jess Hooker.
Donnie Baker
Hello.
Tom Griswold
Hello. There's Josh Arnold.
Donnie Baker
Hi.
Josh Arnold
Hi.
Tom Griswold
Indeed. There's Ace Cosby. Hello. I'm Chick McGee and Tom. What's going on over there, buddy?
Bob Kevoian
I'm just getting organized. We got a lot to do.
Tom Griswold
All right.
Bob Kevoian
Many things to get to, which I'm certainly looking forward to. Ms. Hooker, you've missed quite a few interesting stories today.
Jess Hooker
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Lots of letters. And by the way, we've got a new thing going on. You can go to to our website@bobandtom.com and one click, you can reach us with your emails, a time saver click. If you've got something you want to weigh in on, we would love to hear from you. Yesterday's show, very exciting. We had news about the Wizzinator, remember the Wizenator, the fake phallus, if you will, that you put your urine in if you want to pass a drug test and you've been doing things very effective. One did not work so well in the news, though. The person was arrested for dropping the fake phallus on the floor of a police car. Oh, but you've missed a lot of things. You've also missed some bodily fluids in the news.
Jess Hooker
Oh, I love bodily speaking about fluids.
Tom Griswold
And the Wizinator, is it possible because, you know, they have the exit velocity in Major League Baseball and they can tell how fast the ball leaves the bat and all. Good. They're pointing right. It can't. They is it possible to point a radar gun at a urine stream. You guys did this and it measured it for. On the Wizinator. But I wondered if you could.
Christy Lee
Well, we did it on a. It was a machine thing that they.
Bob Kevoian
That was a machine that. It had a water wheel. Looked like a riverboat.
Josh Arnold
But Chick's question is I don't know if the radar detector will pick up that low of a velocity.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, you're right. Right, right, right. But it spun a little wheel around what we had.
Bob Kevoian
But there is a device because you had to have a medical exam.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
And. And they were measuring velocity and impact, etc.
Josh Arnold
Essentially I just peed into a hole and it landed. What the surface it landed on. Measured all.
Donnie Baker
Everything.
Bob Kevoian
And I was. I was suggesting if they're going to do that. You ever go down the street and they have that they have the portable sign showing how fast you're going to get people to slow down?
Tom Griswold
Sure.
Bob Kevoian
Would it be handy to have one
Tom Griswold
of those while you're. You're.
Josh Arnold
Why I think it was best the. Because I would have tried to beat my. I would have been pushing unnaturally and stuff like that to get to a higher number.
Jess Hooker
Not safe.
Josh Arnold
I think that's why they don't want you.
Donnie Baker
Oh.
Christy Lee
So do you really care how fast your urine's coming out?
Josh Arnold
Well, when you're. Sometimes when you're a guy, it's just a game.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Is it fast enough to peel that toilet paper off the side to sink that cigarette?
Tom Griswold
The older you get, the more time you spend at the urinal because you're waiting and then you're waiting some more.
Christy Lee
Can't you keep your hands off of it for a little bit?
Bob Kevoian
And then.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. And when you're.
Bob Kevoian
When you're young boys at. At summer camp, you see who can shoot it the farthest.
Josh Arnold
No, you don't. Another thinly failed game. Erotic from Tom's childhood.
Christy Lee
You know, you're in a safe space if you want to come out.
Tom Griswold
You. If you. Whatever.
Josh Arnold
What do you do? Your parents are dead.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Come on.
Josh Arnold
You have no one to disappoint. Really.
Tom Griswold
Your wife.
Josh Arnold
I bet she's aware.
Tom Griswold
What would you say about a guy who had played grab Grab ass with his brothers? You're in evidently some sort of penis competition camp.
Christy Lee
Went to an all boys school.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Christy Lee
No.
Bob Kevoian
You just want to show off your skills.
Christy Lee
No, you don't.
Josh Arnold
Queer as a football.
Tom Griswold
Good God. And you love Broadway plays.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
West side Story is your favorite.
Pat Godwin
It. Hello.
Bob Kevoian
Fine art doesn't.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Qu.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, that's fine. Now let's move forward here. We just had an interesting story about a guy who was in prison. And the court ruled he is allowed to send his fiance
Christy Lee
pages.
Bob Kevoian
Semen encrusted.
Josh Arnold
Oh, the court did say.
Christy Lee
No, they didn't say that. They said he was unfairly be punished.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, but he's. But he is still allowed to do that.
Pat Godwin
Wow.
Bob Kevoian
Yes, it does. He is now allowed.
Jess Hooker
Semen encrusted.
Christy Lee
What?
Josh Arnold
Letters, letter pages.
Tom Griswold
Oh, okay.
Jess Hooker
I don't know if it's underpants.
Bob Kevoian
No, that's different.
Josh Arnold
That almost makes more sense.
Jess Hooker
It does? Why? What? Why are we putting it on paper?
Christy Lee
It says a court determined the addition of semen turned the letter into a package. And packages require a different type of permit.
Josh Arnold
So long as he's doing that.
Christy Lee
So he has to find out if he can get the permit.
Tom Griswold
No, he.
Bob Kevoian
No, he doesn't. He's allowed to do it.
Tom Griswold
Knowing the legal system though.
Christy Lee
I don't have that.
Tom Griswold
Turns it into a package. And then how many people are part of that?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Potential people.
Pat Godwin
Right?
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Tom Griswold
All the sperm. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
That led to the discussion that I am not interested in whether that. I wouldn't certainly do this, but would you. Would you in the past have asked a romantic partner to send you their. They're encrusted underpants?
Jess Hooker
Like game day? Like.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Like worn all day or like.
Josh Arnold
Or DNA?
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Do you think that's a more reasonable
Tom Griswold
question would be I can understand someone wearing another's. Their favorite shirt. There you go.
Josh Arnold
Or even just sleeping with it.
Donnie Baker
Right.
Jess Hooker
Yes. When I went to college, I 100% did that.
Tom Griswold
Sure.
Pat Godwin
That's nice.
Josh Arnold
All of us have dressed a body pillow up in our ex's clothes and used this.
Christy Lee
The perfume.
Josh Arnold
Sprayed it down with the perfume she wore.
Ace Cosby
Right.
Tom Griswold
Oh, lady. As I live and breathe, ladies and gentlemen, are we in for a treat?
Bob Kevoian
That reminds me, as a physician, I've seen many things. Oh, I'll never forget the day Maggie and Chick Whiskey walked into my office.
Tom Griswold
I beg your pardon?
Bob Kevoian
And they were an old married couple. And.
Tom Griswold
Uhhuh.
Bob Kevoian
Of course, Chick Whiskey, very hard of hearing.
Tom Griswold
Oh, okay, okay.
Bob Kevoian
And I was of course doing my annual exam. And I went up to him and I said, I need a. A urine sample, a semen sample,
Tom Griswold
and a stool sample. What Chick Whiskey do?
Bob Kevoian
Chick leaned over to Maggie Whiskey, the aforementioned Mrs. Yeah. And once again, I said, I need a urine sample, a semen sample, and a stool sample example. And Chick Whiskey goes, what do you say?
Tom Griswold
Huh?
Bob Kevoian
And Maggie Whiskey said, he wants to see your underwear.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. She does she obviously does the laundry.
Tom Griswold
That's right. There it is.
Bob Kevoian
Now, do you remember the. We had a story a few years ago about a matchmaking thing involving you.
Christy Lee
You would wear this shirt.
Bob Kevoian
You would wear a T shirt. Was it.
Tom Griswold
How.
Bob Kevoian
How long did you have to wear it?
Josh Arnold
Honestly, I think it was just swatches of cloth that they. They huffed.
Bob Kevoian
No, no, no.
Christy Lee
You would wear a shirt.
Bob Kevoian
You'd wear the shirt.
Pat Godwin
Oh, okay.
Josh Arnold
Because we did the swatch store.
Bob Kevoian
Then they would cut it up into swatches of cloth.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
And then you don't understand how the scientific method.
Josh Arnold
And then the people would smell those swatches, and then they'd pick one. Right, right.
Bob Kevoian
So they didn't.
Josh Arnold
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shorten an otherwise unnecessarily long story.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. The explanation that we.
Bob Kevoian
Scientific method requires a procedure.
Tom Griswold
You see, you're a scientific method.
Bob Kevoian
And then people would take us whiff and. Hey, that's how they would match you.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Do you think we're close enough that we could smell each other's clothes and know which one belonged to who?
Josh Arnold
Oh, maybe. I don't think.
Christy Lee
I don't feel like we don't have any.
Josh Arnold
Everybody has a different distinct smell. But. But they probably do.
Christy Lee
Yeah, we're not allowed to.
Josh Arnold
I mean, everybody kind of smells like their house, don't they?
Jess Hooker
Yes, exactly.
Bob Kevoian
But I pay so little attention. I probably couldn't figure out whose is whose.
Christy Lee
Oh, we know that.
Josh Arnold
I'd have trouble with that too.
Jess Hooker
You don't know your car.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I know.
Josh Arnold
I can point at your cars. I couldn't tell you make or model.
Tom Griswold
When's the last time I could.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, she definitely.
Tom Griswold
When's the last time you got into the wrong car? Two weeks ago, I think. It was probably more recent.
Jess Hooker
But no, you weren't here. He really did.
Tom Griswold
Oh, no, I know he does.
Bob Kevoian
We had. We'd had lunch at this place. The car was almost identical to mine. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. In your defense.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Huh.
Bob Kevoian
It was very similar.
Pat Godwin
It was the same color.
Bob Kevoian
It was the same color.
Christy Lee
It was a white suv.
Tom Griswold
It was same make, a different number.
Josh Arnold
Probably a school bus got in it.
Bob Kevoian
This isn't my stuff. The guy shouldn't have left the car open.
Josh Arnold
I know. It was his fault.
Tom Griswold
Man, that's. That. That kind of attitude about yourself. I just want. I just dream about that.
Josh Arnold
Right.
Tom Griswold
Isn't that amazing?
Jess Hooker
You guys always lock your car.
Christy Lee
No, I don't.
Tom Griswold
I lock my car when it's in the garage
Jess Hooker
too.
Josh Arnold
Well, that's to keep you from going and starting it up.
Tom Griswold
The worst thing I can do is go down there. The only thing stopping me is. Ah, it's locked. I gotta go all the way upstairs. Now, you park the car in your
Josh Arnold
garage, lock it, and then give your neighbor your key.
Bob Kevoian
That's right. So let me start it and close the door again.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Christy Lee
No, I never lock. I hardly ever lock my door.
Jess Hooker
Me same. Yes.
Bob Kevoian
You don't lock what's in there.
Jess Hooker
Exactly.
Christy Lee
What are you gonna do?
Pat Godwin
What's in there?
Christy Lee
The car.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, it's insured.
Josh Arnold
They get in and start it.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Jess Hooker
Wow.
Tom Griswold
I don't want anybody in my car.
Christy Lee
I don't have a key.
Tom Griswold
That's my car. I don't have a key.
Pat Godwin
I have missed in there. I've missed in the glove. I can steal my mints.
Christy Lee
Oh, they do have my Aldi quarter. That's. I forgot about that.
Bob Kevoian
Your Aldi quarter.
Tom Griswold
You carry one, so you know you
Christy Lee
have to have a quarter to get.
Jess Hooker
The car doesn't know what this means.
Christy Lee
Yeah, everybody has an Aldi quarter.
Bob Kevoian
I've never been.
Pat Godwin
I don't have an Aldi.
Josh Arnold
You know how many times I've walked out of Aldi with just r. And arm is wanted. Look at this idiot.
Bob Kevoian
So what's the point?
Christy Lee
You didn't have a bag.
Bob Kevoian
Do they think people are going to return the cart to get the quarterback?
Christy Lee
A lot of people do. They don't have carts in the. Standing around in the.
Josh Arnold
I have. I've paid. I've paid it forward.
Christy Lee
I have paid it forward.
Josh Arnold
Hey, hey, you can.
Christy Lee
You want a cart?
Josh Arnold
Oh, you feel like a billionaire.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
Also, someone's coming out and you want.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
That's very nice.
Tom Griswold
Treat yourself.
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
How do you feel, pal?
Pat Godwin
Wow.
Bob Kevoian
So that's. So you don't see some homeless dude with an Aldi cart.
Jess Hooker
No.
Bob Kevoian
Walking around
Josh Arnold
Kroger boy. I wonder if there is a cart hierarchy for the. The unhoused.
Christy Lee
Like if you get no target.
Josh Arnold
If you get a. I was gonna say you get a target cart. Man, you are.
Tom Griswold
Oh, no, I disagree. Costco car.
Josh Arnold
Costco's are. I mean, you could definitely put more in.
Tom Griswold
You could live in a Costco cart.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, but you get the target. Target one that has the little race car in front.
Donnie Baker
So.
Bob Kevoian
So your homeless kid can ride.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Pat Godwin
Homeless.
Jess Hooker
Homeless kid.
Tom Griswold
Honey, I got big news. We don't. We have to still sleep in the street. But I got. I got to get the birthday. Oh, this is so sad.
Josh Arnold
Now you can pretend the box is a house and the car is your vehicle.
Tom Griswold
That's right. Beep, beep. I need to get to a job interview. Beep, beep.
Josh Arnold
Now who are we going to get to act like your mom?
Bob Kevoian
Oh, I blame myself. I'm sorry.
Tom Griswold
Sobering thoughts today.
Josh Arnold
Stabby Susan or methy Melissa?
Tom Griswold
That's right. My God, man.
Bob Kevoian
Christy Lee is over there at the news.
Christy Lee
A new Oxford University study finds taking salsa classes can improve mental health. Researchers discovered participants who took part in salsa classes showed a significant reduction in depressive symptoms and social anxiety as well as a larger increase in daily happiness. We're talking about the dance salsa, not making salsa.
Tom Griswold
Oh, you could say the same thing about the condiments.
Josh Arnold
I think so too. I bet it makes you feel just as good.
Tom Griswold
Absolutely. Some corn chips, a little bit of dip. Damn right. Oh, I really nailed it that time. Cha, cha cha.
Josh Arnold
You know, salsa on eggs, real good.
Tom Griswold
Five star cars. I'll go back now.
Josh Arnold
It'll ruin a pancake.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Thank you.
Bob Kevoian
So the point is, you're socializing with people and.
Christy Lee
And you're. You have to remember moves, so you have to use your brain.
Bob Kevoian
I think I have much more anxiety dancing, though.
Pat Godwin
Yeah. Oh, you might be more depressed.
Bob Kevoian
Terribly anxious to do any public dancing.
Christy Lee
You can take private lessons. You don't have to do it in public. You can have a.
Pat Godwin
That would still suck.
Tom Griswold
I don't think there's.
Bob Kevoian
I mean, do you like. Do you like. I mean, do you like grabbing strange men with suspect mustaches?
Josh Arnold
Yeah. I mean,
Christy Lee
I don't grab strange men.
Bob Kevoian
Don't you have to touch people?
Tom Griswold
Salsa dancing? I can't think.
Christy Lee
You dance with a partner.
Jess Hooker
You usually bring your partners and doy do.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. You swing them around.
Bob Kevoian
What is salsa dancing? I don't even know what that means. What does it look like?
Christy Lee
Salsa dance.
Josh Arnold
You ever see a Long Came Polly?
Jess Hooker
It's a.
Christy Lee
A Latin dance. A lot of hip movement.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. It's sexy.
Christy Lee
Yeah, it's very.
Bob Kevoian
Like Shakira.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Is it the forbidden dance a lot?
Tom Griswold
Here I'll talk about it. Your language, Tom. Remember in Saturday Night Fever when Monty Rock III plays that Latin number for the couple and. Oh, yeah, that's kind of a salsa thing.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, that's. That needs. That needs a lot of instruction. That's serious.
Christy Lee
Well, that's why you would take classes, Tom.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Christy Lee
That's why we're saying sort of what the studies.
Tom Griswold
If you'd listened instead of trying to zero in on some sort of tragedy. But you gotta.
Bob Kevoian
But you gotta to bring a partner.
Christy Lee
Then you do, or you have a. I have a dance Instructor who is my partner that he dances with me.
Bob Kevoian
I'd be totally weirded out that it's some stranger. You pay for that touching me.
Jess Hooker
You wouldn't dance with your wife?
Pat Godwin
You know, Kelly would love that if you did that.
Bob Kevoian
Are you kidding?
Pat Godwin
She'd love it.
Bob Kevoian
No, right?
Tom Griswold
She's not a dancer.
Christy Lee
Does she like to dance?
Bob Kevoian
She might love it if the instruction.
Josh Arnold
Cool.
Bob Kevoian
Cool looking guy.
Jess Hooker
Will you guys dance at. Will you guys dance at a wedding or at an event?
Bob Kevoian
Just like a big wedding over the weekend. I, I, the girls were kind of out there. I wanted them to take some photos so not to be too awkward. I kind of moved a little bit with my camera, which is unfortunate because some of the photos I have are blurry because I was trying to boogie and woogie and take a photograph.
Tom Griswold
Can you imagine seeing him on the dance floor?
Josh Arnold
Can you imagine seeing a grown man on a dance floor kind of dancing and feverishly taking photos?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, I've got some good shots.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
A couple of them came out.
Josh Arnold
Should have been arrested.
Pat Godwin
Older guy taking pictures.
Tom Griswold
Are you a guy? If anyone would show you a picture on their camera, would you feel the need to critique it right there to them, like, that's blurry or why did you make that the focal point?
Christy Lee
Of course he would.
Bob Kevoian
No, not necessarily. I've been teaching one of my daughters photography. Said stop cutting people off the angles. Just some basic stuff.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but always put people in your pictures, right?
Bob Kevoian
Not always.
Pat Godwin
Not always.
Bob Kevoian
I mean, if you're in front of the Eiffel Tower. No one, really. You can go buy a nice postcard if you want to, you know, show someone you're there.
Josh Arnold
So that's some good teaching. Yeah, you don't have to take a picture. There are plenty of nice postcards. What a photography mentor.
Christy Lee
Don't want to remember.
Tom Griswold
I mean, you are giving Rich Sneez a run for his money, aren't you?
Bob Kevoian
You know those nice shots of the West?
Donnie Baker
Sure.
Bob Kevoian
You've seen many of those great Ansel Adams photos. They'd be a lot better if Ansel had his face in him. Hey, look at me. I'm in front of this big rock.
Tom Griswold
I would enjoy that more. Yes,
Bob Kevoian
you can take a picture of your. If you go to Europe and come back and start showing me. There's a nice canal.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Bob Kevoian
Got a picture of that in a book.
Josh Arnold
It's their point of view.
Pat Godwin
There's your vacation. Well, look at the postcard.
Bob Kevoian
I'm sorry. How do we get from dance lessons to this?
Christy Lee
You did this.
Josh Arnold
We have to Assume, though other dancing
Christy Lee
can also be beneficial.
Bob Kevoian
The point of this is taking dancing.
Christy Lee
Dancing is very good for your mental health. It keeps a lot of older people young. And it's good exercise. It's killer exercise. It's really great for you.
Josh Arnold
You do.
Bob Kevoian
You do the. The do si.
Christy Lee
Do kind of dancing, the square dancing. I do not square. It's got to be good.
Jess Hooker
Good.
Tom Griswold
No, no. It's called dosi do.
Bob Kevoian
We had to do that in junior high school.
Christy Lee
We had to do it in junior high school too.
Bob Kevoian
When it would rain.
Christy Lee
All of a sudden you had the dosi do with boys.
Bob Kevoian
No, no, no. That was.
Tom Griswold
That was out there playing grabass invite his brothers.
Josh Arnold
He would set up sprinklers outside to hit the windows of the class. Oh, well, I guess we have to dance with each other, right?
Tom Griswold
You know what? I. I think let's do shirts and skins dancing. How about that?
Josh Arnold
Is that all right, Coach?
Pat Godwin
We should take our pants off to feel more comfor.
Tom Griswold
I'd be way more comfortable.
Josh Arnold
In fact, let's dance laying on the ground. You on top.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Dance on me.
Christy Lee
Dance on me.
Bob Kevoian
All right now. Christy Lee.
Christy Lee
Oh, God.
Josh Arnold
You.
Bob Kevoian
You just drove all the way back from your vacation there and back back in your beautiful Hyundai. Tell me more.
Christy Lee
I sure did. And you could do the same. Because right now, Hyundai is having a getaway sales event. So see, there's still time to get away on a vacation in a brand new Hyundai. They have adventure ready SUV's like the Santa Fe or Santa Fe hybrid or the Tucson or my favorite, the Tucson hybrid. Plus there's our bold and stylish Alondra. And did I mention because I have the hybrid I was getting probably 31, 32 miles to the gallon. Sometimes 36 miles to the gallon one. Yes. It's awesome. If you want a sedan that's loaded with the latest technology, please check out the Elantra. And the all electric Ionic 5 or Ionic 9 are waiting for you at your local Hyundai dealer.
Josh Arnold
Did you know my car got 900 miles to the gallon?
Christy Lee
Did really?
Josh Arnold
I had to fill up like three times.
Christy Lee
Oh, okay. Yeah, I guess that doesn't more than three, I would think, but I'll shut up. It's the Hyundai getaway sales event going on now. Visit your local Hyundai Dealer or HyundaiUSA.com for all the details.
Bob Kevoian
I got a square dancing question.
Christy Lee
All right. All the man left go.
Bob Kevoian
What does that mean?
Christy Lee
All the men left means you go to your left.
Bob Kevoian
What's the all a man?
Christy Lee
It's a move in square never Mind,
Bob Kevoian
is that stuff ad libbed? Is that. Or is the. Does the DJ make that up as he's going.
Josh Arnold
I think a good square dance caller will.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, so.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Wow.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
So it's never the same.
Christy Lee
No, no.
Pat Godwin
So you follow the.
Christy Lee
You gotta listen. Yes.
Pat Godwin
I didn't know that.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
What's a dosi dough where you put in.
Josh Arnold
Is that the.
Christy Lee
That's the arm when you tore, isn't it? Dosi do.
Bob Kevoian
Swing that partner round and round.
Pat Godwin
Has anybody here done that?
Jess Hooker
What?
Christy Lee
What?
Josh Arnold
I've never done it in a real scenario. I've only done it.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
That's interesting. But can you take classes in that?
Christy Lee
Yeah, of course.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
That'd be fun.
Jess Hooker
Kind of line dancing.
Josh Arnold
It is.
Christy Lee
You're told what to do.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, it's almost. It almost hearkens back to those Jane Austen dances where people. I mean, it's almost the same thing.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Oh, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Like little Abner. What was that?
Tom Griswold
Sadie Hawkins.
Bob Kevoian
Sadie Hawkins Day.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, good. Very good. Now. Now, coming up in the news. Christy, what do you got?
Christy Lee
Coming up. Is coffee good for you? Well, yes. And we'll talk about how safe it is and how many you can drink a day. Big Star wars story. And we have our semi naked milk snatcher coming up.
Tom Griswold
Oh, what?
Josh Arnold
Who is this guy?
Christy Lee
A milk snatcher?
Bob Kevoian
I'm assuming it's a lady.
Christy Lee
It's a lady.
Josh Arnold
Give me that milk. Yeah, like my boobs. Give me that milk. Okay.
Bob Kevoian
The milk and mustache that. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Ace Cosby
Hey, thanks for listening this morning. Got something to say? Send us an email. Bob and tom. Bob and tom.com.
Bob Kevoian
stay hot.
Tom Griswold
Welcome back to the Bob and Tom show in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios at the news desk, it's Christy Lee. Hello, Hello. Hello. Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey, Chick.
Tom Griswold
Hello. Just Hooker.
Jess Hooker
Hello.
Tom Griswold
There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi.
Tom Griswold
Hi. There's Ace Cosby.
Josh Arnold
Hey, man.
Donnie Baker
Hello.
Tom Griswold
I'm Chick. And we got a little music here for Tom when he used to go to camp. What was the name of the camp when you were.
Bob Kevoian
I went to a bunch of different camps. What's your favorite camp? Hail went off.
Christy Lee
That's right.
Bob Kevoian
Out there was a YMCA camp, as a matter of fact.
Pat Godwin
We're gonna.
Christy Lee
We're gonna row boats.
Tom Griswold
We're gonna have a piss fight coming up later and make it a million dollar morning with all the boys.
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Great song.
Christy Lee
I thought of you yesterday. There was a story about a camp in Canada. Because of the wildfires up There they're sinking all of their canoes to keep them from burning because they're like over a hundred years old. So they have all these huge boulders on the canoes and they're putting them in the water.
Tom Griswold
That's a great idea.
Bob Kevoian
100 year old canoes.
Christy Lee
Yeah, they're like really old.
Tom Griswold
Tom's eyes light up. Over a hundred year old canoe.
Christy Lee
I thought of you.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, wooden boats are the best. I know. There's a. I. I understand that.
Tom Griswold
My mind can't process something that important. I'm sorry, you're right, I understand.
Bob Kevoian
No, no, no, no.
Pat Godwin
It's just.
Bob Kevoian
It's a matter of breeding.
Tom Griswold
I know. I get it. And I apologize for my. My shortcoming.
Bob Kevoian
The. The benefits of a classical.
Tom Griswold
I understand. Yes.
Josh Arnold
Referring to your family and your circumstances as. Breeding is so good. I love that.
Tom Griswold
You know breeding.
Bob Kevoian
You know, the Mayflower was wood. My grandfather told me.
Tom Griswold
Us, The Kennedys, the Skakels, you know. No, no, no, no. The good people.
Bob Kevoian
No, no. Far too progressive.
Christy Lee
Christy Lee, it's time for our history less lesson.
Ace Cosby
It is.
Josh Arnold
Oh, dear God.
Bob Kevoian
What day is today?
Christy Lee
Today is July 21st.
Bob Kevoian
This is going to be seat of the pants.
Tom Griswold
But real quick, here's Tom.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Give it a big ones. Summer is a fly in, isn't it?
Christy Lee
It is, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
July's almost July 21st. This is interesting. First day of spring in 1865. I'll do this in quiz form. I'll do this for you, Mr. Hooker.
Pat Godwin
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
1865, Wild Bill Hickok shot someone in Market Square in Springfield, Missouri. Josh.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
This is considered by many historians to be the first true Western showdown. Do you remember the name of the guy he shot?
Jess Hooker
Was he in Tombstone? Was he one of the guys in Tombstone?
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Was he?
Josh Arnold
No.
Tom Griswold
Was the, Was the victim also famous?
Bob Kevoian
That's the thing.
Josh Arnold
No.
Bob Kevoian
Which is?
Christy Lee
How would she know this? I was.
Bob Kevoian
I'm proving a point.
Tom Griswold
How about James Williams?
Bob Kevoian
I mean, first of all, my point.
Christy Lee
Stan Smith.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, well, it could have been dirty Stan Smith.
Bob Kevoian
My point is you don't mess with a guy whose nickname is Wild Bill.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Christy Lee
So we don't even know the guy carrying a gun.
Bob Kevoian
His name was Dave Tutt.
Christy Lee
Oh, Dave Todd.
Bob Kevoian
He doesn't even have a cool nickname. He should have been Dave King Tutt.
Tom Griswold
Dave Todd.
Josh Arnold
They weren't aware.
Christy Lee
Right.
Bob Kevoian
Or Bad Aim Dave.
Josh Arnold
I don't know.
Bob Kevoian
I'm just saying Wild Bill Hickok. Because that's a name, you know. Right.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
When you're a kid, everybody learns Wild Bill Hickok.
Josh Arnold
Well, that's because he wasn't shot in the first Western showdown. He went on to create a reputation.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, but everybody knows Alexander Hamilton. And he famously lost a duel.
Josh Arnold
How many people knew him pre.
Jess Hooker
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Right.
Christy Lee
Six years ago.
Bob Kevoian
Alexander Hamilton. Want to be in the room where it happens. Right, chick?
Tom Griswold
Oh, man, what a great show. I love it. Josh, you want to go watch Hamilton for the first time?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, as soon as Hamilton is played by a white guy, I'll watch. I don't know why they're culturally appropriate. You're listening to Wrong side of the Argument.
Tom Griswold
Josh. English America.
Josh Arnold
Boy, I would happily listen to a show called Wrong side of the Argument. I know where somebody defended. Well, actually this show is pretty. Yeah,
Bob Kevoian
this one ends in a question that I don't know the answer to. In. Let's see who a chick would know this. Ace would know this. Josh. Maybe Pat Godwin won't know this. Pat. In 1996, Comedy Central debuted the Daily Show. Who was the host?
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah.
Pat Godwin
First host of the Daily show, man. Greg Kinnear.
Bob Kevoian
Close.
Tom Griswold
Craig Kilbourne from espn.
Bob Kevoian
And I don't know whatever happened to him.
Tom Griswold
He.
Pat Godwin
Oh, he had some issues. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
I don't know, he got a little
Tom Griswold
bit too big for his britches.
Josh Arnold
He eventually had a late night show and then he.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I thought he showed up in old school and yeah, he played a really good jerk.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
But I felt like it was his choice to step. He kind of went, all right.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Was he on ABC or cbs? I think talk shows. I think CBS wasn't.
Pat Godwin
He has a great Instagram thing now. Very funny.
Josh Arnold
Oh, he does.
Pat Godwin
Okay, good.
Bob Kevoian
Like I said, I didn't know. I don't. I know that Jon Stewart's sort of like the stepfather of the Daily show, but he's obviously the guy that took it up a notch. I call it the Daily Show. So first thing in the morning when I put on my underwear in front of the big mirror at 3am Ladies and gentlemen. And now, the Daily Show. Boy, just me and just me in the closet.
Pat Godwin
In the closet.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, you are in the closet.
Bob Kevoian
Let's see
Josh Arnold
to your podcast once this is over.
Tom Griswold
Welcome to the closet.
Josh Arnold
Just me in the closet.
Bob Kevoian
Remember when you and your brothers would Happy birthday.
Tom Griswold
Gather in the closet and trade underwear. You remember that?
Bob Kevoian
Happy birthday, Ernest Hemingway, born on this date in 1899.
Tom Griswold
And you know, you sit down at the typewriter and blood forms on your forehead and you're a writer. Congratulations.
Christy Lee
He.
Bob Kevoian
I'm sorry, this weekend, I should say in Key west it's the Hemingway look alike.
Tom Griswold
I still got time.
Josh Arnold
So does it coincide with his birthday thing? Is that okay?
Tom Griswold
Give me the rest of the week off. You won't see me till next Monday.
Bob Kevoian
And there's a footnote here.
Tom Griswold
Am I invisible?
Bob Kevoian
This is interesting. Have you ever heard the. The quote misattributed to Ernest Hemingway? Right. Drunk. Edit. Sober.
Jess Hooker
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah. He never said that.
Pat Godwin
No, it was right. Drunk. Right. So Edit. Drunk.
Ace Cosby
Yes.
Jess Hooker
Who said it?
Josh Arnold
Actually, yeah, he just said drunk. Drunk.
Bob Kevoian
It appears in a novel called Reuben Rubin by Peter DeVries in 1964, but it is often attributed incorrectly to Ernest Hemingway.
Josh Arnold
Conti movie.
Tom Griswold
Yes. Oh, I think it was.
Bob Kevoian
Yes. And that's.
Tom Griswold
And he was nominated. I love that movie.
Bob Kevoian
At the end of that movie. Movies.
Josh Arnold
I've never seen it.
Tom Griswold
Well, no, it's the. There's two parts. First there was a hero. Hero. And then there was Reuben.
Bob Kevoian
It's a very good.
Pat Godwin
Oh, okay.
Tom Griswold
And then there was brisket, brisket, brisket, brisket. And then pastrami on rye was the last.
Josh Arnold
And then.
Tom Griswold
Author.
Josh Arnold
Author.
Tom Griswold
Right. Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Let's see now. Oh, this is a good. Happy birthday, 1924. The great Don Knots.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, it's my birthday. It's kind of a.
Bob Kevoian
Kind of a one note, wasn't it, Ms. Hooker? He started out on what TV show?
Jess Hooker
The Andy Griffith Show.
Bob Kevoian
He was famous for that. Of course. And then Knots Landing.
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah. He wasn't. He like nervous consumer.
Tom Griswold
He was one of the writers.
Jess Hooker
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Just brilliant. And apparently quite the ladies man.
Tom Griswold
Old Dana.
Donnie Baker
Well.
Pat Godwin
Oh, absolutely.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
It seems unlikely, doesn't it?
Christy Lee
Yeah, very. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
There are words here.
Tom Griswold
Here's something that Don Knotts had in common with this. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Josh Arnold
Mr. Furley was so funny. Oh, the faces he would make.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Really? Oh, well, I. It was also like I was 9 and just couldn't get enough of it.
Jess Hooker
But I think that proves that funny guys win, right? They win.
Tom Griswold
The girl was Mr. Furley. You would think when Mr. Furley was on the show.
Pat Godwin
Did.
Tom Griswold
Was Mrs. Roper still on the show?
Josh Arnold
They weren't.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
So who was? Furley was solo. He wasn't.
Josh Arnold
Right. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Like a playboy.
Bob Kevoian
Happy birthday. Janet Reno.
Jess Hooker
Handsome woman, huh?
Josh Arnold
For her birthday, she'll be blowing out the flames in Waco. Those people were living a pretty peaceful life.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, let's see now.
Tom Griswold
Not bothering nobody.
Bob Kevoian
Not.
Tom Griswold
Didn't you say he was wrong side of the.
Christy Lee
What are you.
Tom Griswold
He had the same running path every day if they wanted to arrest a corpse.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, yeah. Cat Stevens, born On this date in 1948. Born with give the. Given the name at birth. Stephen Demeter. Giorgio.
Christy Lee
Then he changed it to Yusuf.
Bob Kevoian
Yusuf Islam.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Now is he back to Cat Stevens?
Tom Griswold
Pretty good stuff.
Josh Arnold
Yes. You know, it's easier for me to fly if I go back to Cat Stevens.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. All of a sudden, I don't get searched.
Bob Kevoian
I text him late at night. Yusuf.
Christy Lee
Oh, gee.
Tom Griswold
This has been another episode of in the Closet.
Bob Kevoian
And lastly, happy birthday to John Lovitz, who I find hilarious.
Christy Lee
He's very funny.
Josh Arnold
So good.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah, he was in here. And that'll do it for today in history. Thank you for very much.
Christy Lee
You did a very good job for off the cuff.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah. Remember who. Who Wild Bill Hickok shot King Tut. No. Dave Tut.
Christy Lee
Oh, Dave.
Tom Griswold
King Tut. Write that down on you. How is this today?
Christy Lee
It's King Tut.
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Coming up, we have a guy that didn't land the airplane very well.
Christy Lee
Now, wait a minute. Think about it. He might have landed it very well.
Bob Kevoian
There you go.
Tom Griswold
Sully.
Christy Lee
No.
Josh Arnold
Still creating mayhem in the skies.
Ace Cosby
No.
Bob Kevoian

Hello.
Tom Griswold
There's Joshua Arnold. Hi, Ace Cosby.
Pat Godwin
Hello.
Tom Griswold
Hello. I'm Chick. Hello.
Bob Kevoian
Tom, someone's trying to call out Josh here.
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
It says, Josh. You have a lovely glass home. You were calling out me? Didn't you mention something about being a basement Xanage do fan?
Josh Arnold
I've never actually seen Xanadu, but what they're referring to is when we were kids, we would roller skate in the basement. Yeah. We were fully clothed.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
And I think the more. I think the more popular per. Roller skating. Bonafide. Roller skating would have been the Starlight Express. Maybe, I think. But that was just a. No, I think that was a play. And then it became a movie, I think. Or vice versa.
Bob Kevoian
Was that a Broadway show?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, Starlight Express was.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah. I think it became a movie.
Josh Arnold
Oh, it did.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
And they were. Were they skating on stage?
Tom Griswold
I think David, man, they lit up. Oh, yeah. And they had space, kind of space suits.
Christy Lee
I saw Xanadu on skates at a small theater in Lincoln Park, Chicago.
Bob Kevoian
Was it any good?
Christy Lee
It was something like 10, 10 minutes in.
Bob Kevoian
You're kind of looking. Hoping for intermission.
Christy Lee
It was very fun.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Christy Lee
We forgot something too.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Christy Lee
In our. We. I know we've been picking on you a lot today, but foot. No, I don't know what you're.
Tom Griswold
I don't know what you're talking about.
Christy Lee
Steve from London, Ohio.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Steve.
Christy Lee
Forgetting Tom. Didn't you swim in the nude in school?
Tom Griswold
I don't think that was you, was it?
Bob Kevoian
We were talking about. We had a bunch of letters about that and here's what we found out.
Tom Griswold
Get a load of this.
Bob Kevoian
There used to be be. Well, I don't know if that There would be metal lockers at a lot of schools.
Christy Lee
Right.
Bob Kevoian
And in order to. This is obviously at boys schools, in order to. We finally found out in order to not have everything get rusty, they would. Rather than have bathing suits, all the boys would swim naked. We received a whole bunch of letters.
Christy Lee
I know we did. Yeah, but that didn't happen to you, right?
Tom Griswold
Can't be.
Jess Hooker
No, it did.
Pat Godwin
It did, didn't it?
Jess Hooker
It did happen.
Bob Kevoian
Maybe, maybe a day camp did that.
Jess Hooker
That's gym teachers that are predators.
Tom Griswold
But that's.
Bob Kevoian
I can't imagine.
Tom Griswold
Did that sound legitimate to you when you were presented with it, or you just didn't question it?
Pat Godwin
Didn't anybody go, hey, I didn't do it?
Tom Griswold
I'm really curious.
Josh Arnold
When I was in high school, we had metal lockers in the gym area. When we had swimming days, they just said, hey, please take your wet clothes home.
Jess Hooker
Right.
Christy Lee
That's what they said to us too.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, that's because I think cooler heads prevailed.
Josh Arnold
Well, I also had a straight non pedophile. My school actually vetted who they hired.
Pat Godwin
Any background checks at all.
Tom Griswold
You're coming out, Tom.
Bob Kevoian
It was very common.
Christy Lee
I bet it was in those days. Yes.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, I, I can't imagine they would do that anywhere.
Donnie Baker
No.
Josh Arnold
Come on.
Pat Godwin
How many boys in the pool are naked? All of you are just the pool naked?
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Now, now, when you were swimming naked
Christy Lee
in high school, this is.
Pat Godwin
Was it up periscope.
Tom Griswold
Would you have these. Would you have these urine fights then?
Bob Kevoian
Most of the coaches wore bathing suits.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Tom Griswold
I, I. Football practice. Yeah. Our coaches would shower with. No, absolutely. Absolutely.
Pat Godwin
Yeah. Same here.
Tom Griswold
Absolutely.
Bob Kevoian
They wouldn't do that now, would they?
Josh Arnold
I don't think they. I really don't think they would.
Donnie Baker
No.
Josh Arnold
Just because. I mean, sure.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Well, it was a. It was a camaraderie thing and no one had a urine contest and no one.
Bob Kevoian
You never were taking a shower and suddenly your leg felt warm?
Tom Griswold
No, I did. I wore. I definitely was urinated on in the shower.
Josh Arnold
Bully or something. It was.
Tom Griswold
I know his name. I know where he works.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
To this day I keep an eye on him. Yes, yes. That's part of the reason I can't wait to get to the reunion. I'm gonna get an update.
Christy Lee
Are you gonna be on him at the reunion?
Tom Griswold
No, he won't be at the reunion. He was a couple years ahead of me.
Christy Lee
Oh.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah. His day's coming.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, okay. I'm sorry. Let's get back to the action over there.
Christy Lee
A new study out there reassures you coffee drinkers. The research says most healthy adults can safely consume up to 400 milligrams of caffeine a day. That's roughly five eight ounce cups of. Now here's the kicker. Black coffee.
Josh Arnold
Five.
Christy Lee
The study also found sugar. Regular coffee consumption may be linked to a lower risk of heart failure, heart disease and stroke in some people. You can't add sweetener, you can't add milk. Can't add any of those.
Tom Griswold
Well, you're not supposed to in your coffee. You're supposed to have black coffee.
Christy Lee
Black coffee.
Josh Arnold
That's what I have.
Christy Lee
Me too. I love it. Researchers do caution though, that those highly caffeinated energy drinks.
Tom Griswold
I like my coffee like a milkshake. That's what I like. Yeah. Caramel Frappuccino.
Josh Arnold
I mean, those aren't good. I just prefer black coffee.
Christy Lee
Caffeinated energy drinks and energy shots are a different story. However, these products increase the risk of high blood pressure and irregular heart rhythms. So once again, we're just talking about black coffee. Up to five cups. Five cups.
Bob Kevoian
Well, five cups of black coffee will keep you good and awake on the toilet.
Tom Griswold
Him. What do you think?
Bob Kevoian
Laxative effective coffee is not a penetrator.
Tom Griswold
Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
I don't get that, thankfully. Do you guys?
Tom Griswold
I do not.
Christy Lee
No. It depends. I. It depends on. No, like today I haven't. I wished.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, here. I'm sorry. I was half paying attention because.
Ace Cosby
What's going on here?
Christy Lee
I got a problem.
Tom Griswold
No kidding.
Christy Lee
Yes. Haven't you noticed?
Tom Griswold
When was the last time you need to do.
Pat Godwin
Two days ago.
Christy Lee
Every day on vacation. Regular, like Boom, boom, boom.
Jess Hooker
And it changes.
Tom Griswold
I got three words for you. Wet and wild, baby.
Christy Lee
No, I'm not doing that.
Tom Griswold
Try Take the animal highway. You got to do.
Christy Lee
I'm suffering right now. A woman in Britain.
Bob Kevoian
Wait a minute. Hang on a second. I, I. A little homework here, somebody. Naked swimming was actually the rule at the YMCA for more than 50 years. From the 1920s.
Pat Godwin
YMCA?
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Christy Lee
That's why it's.
Josh Arnold
Hence the Village people
Bob Kevoian
from the 1920s through the early 60s.
Christy Lee
How do you think the song came about the YMC.
Bob Kevoian
I didn't know this required men and boys to swim in the nude.
Josh Arnold
Required.
Christy Lee
Required.
Bob Kevoian
That's what this says.
Christy Lee
Does it say why?
Bob Kevoian
No, I'm just reading from Tom.
Jess Hooker
Grooming.
Christy Lee
That's why.
Tom Griswold
No matter what, it still does not change. I'm serious. I love you. It's okay. Okay. No matter what.
Donnie Baker
Wow.
Jess Hooker
It'd be great for the show if you.
Tom Griswold
Oh, man.
Josh Arnold
I think you and Willie should come out at the same time.
Tom Griswold
Absolutely.
Christy Lee
Willie. Why are you throwing Willie under the bus?
Bob Kevoian
This is fascinating. I didn't know the YMCA did, though.
Josh Arnold
That is wild, man. 60. 1960 was the last year for the required.
Tom Griswold
Did you ever stay overnight at the YMCA anywhere? Like in New York?
Ace Cosby
No.
Tom Griswold
No. All right. I always thought that was like, the epitome of being poor. Cosmopolitan. No, like on the cutting edge of man. This is happening.
Christy Lee
Oh, really? I always thought it was a poor place to stay.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, here's. Oh, there. Yeah. See, this says the main reason cotton swimsuits shed fibers which could clog pool filtration systems of the era.
Pat Godwin
That's a good thing to say to a little boy.
Donnie Baker
Oh, man.
Bob Kevoian
Wow. Boys and men's swim classes were male only.
Tom Griswold
What a. No kidding.
Pat Godwin
Yeah. Wow.
Jess Hooker
The gays don't like girls.
Josh Arnold
Hey, put that on a T shirt.
Bob Kevoian
Well, it's. This says in some places it lasted into the 70s.
Josh Arnold
Wow.
Donnie Baker
Sure.
Pat Godwin
Yeah. It's the last thing.
Donnie Baker
Now.
Pat Godwin
There's lots of places you can go now.
Tom Griswold
You and me and Josh. Time to get physical. Let's do it.
Christy Lee
Let's get physical.
Donnie Baker
Wow.
Bob Kevoian
It says, before title nine and Widespread co educational Physical education, male students at some US high schools and colleges also swam north nude.
Tom Griswold
Good Lord.
Josh Arnold
All right, well, I mean, we believed you.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, well, but he's looking for a reason that, like, gives him peace. You know what I mean?
Christy Lee
Why didn't the women swim like my doctor?
Bob Kevoian
That's what I want to know.
Ace Cosby
Let's.
Bob Kevoian
Let's get that going right now.
Josh Arnold
Just answered that question.
Christy Lee
What'd she say?
Jess Hooker
I'm sorry, the gays don't like girls.
Christy Lee
No. But if you're in an all girls school, why wouldn't the girls swim nude? If it's because the suits cause the filtration system to clog?
Bob Kevoian
Because women are smarter and they were.
Jess Hooker
We didn't buy that load of crap.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Did you ever do that?
Christy Lee
No.
Bob Kevoian
You ever go skinny dipping?
Christy Lee
No. We've talked about this.
Jess Hooker
In a lake.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. So you've gone soccer, you've gone skinny. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah.
Jess Hooker
In a lake for sure. And in a pool. In college.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Sober, but all.
Jess Hooker
No, never.
Bob Kevoian
Okay.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, no, it was a bunch of. It was a bunch of girls in college, so. Yeah. Naked in a pool with girls. In college, we had Mountain Dew.
Christy Lee
Are you gonna talk slower for everybody here?
Josh Arnold
Mountain Dew and the Captain.
Bob Kevoian
Captain.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Captain Morgan and Mountain Dew.
Pat Godwin
A bunch of naked girls in a pool.
Donnie Baker
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Hello.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. That was. That was a. That was a night.
Bob Kevoian
But that was all ladies.
Jess Hooker
That was all ladies. Yeah, it was a bunch of girls.
Bob Kevoian
Did you ever do a co ed nude swim?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, but that was in a lake. On a houseboat. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Day or night? I'm gonna go night.
Jess Hooker
Yeah. Like dusk. I'd say dusk. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
A little twilight.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Well, there we go.
Jess Hooker
You guys haven't.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I've skinny dipped.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
And lake and pool.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
But the pool, I was alone.
Jess Hooker
Oh, that's fine.
Josh Arnold
It was awesome.
Jess Hooker
Like a giant bathtub.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I just walrused around there.
Bob Kevoian
What was. What was the name of the hotel?
Josh Arnold
It was a rental house.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, okay.
Josh Arnold
So there you go.
Tom Griswold
Oh, was that the time you went vacation by yourself to watch the squirrels?
Josh Arnold
Oh, you know what? I did get naked then. That's what I thought that was a hot tub.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Oh, and the hot tub.
Pat Godwin
But I had to.
Josh Arnold
In the cold. It was. It was exhilarating.
Tom Griswold
I can imagine.
Christy Lee
This is really interesting. Women's schools did not require students to swim naked while men. It was a common practice for boys and men in many American schools and YMCAs during the early to mid 20th century, women's physical education guidelines typically required their students to wear simple cotton or wool bathing suits. So that explanation.
Tom Griswold
Wool, just.
Christy Lee
Even if it's.
Jess Hooker
That sounds comfortable. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Yeah, but I mean, the cotton suits on a woman didn't clog the filters. Yeah, but.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, I'm not saying the logic is valid.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
And I'm sure, you know, incredibly humiliating for the men and boys involved. Certainly.
Pat Godwin
Or titillating.
Tom Griswold
Josh said it.
Bob Kevoian
Some of the coaches. Pat didn't wear a bathing suit.
Christy Lee
That's Interesting. Men would do it and not women.
Tom Griswold
All right.
Bob Kevoian
Now we're have to move on here. Coming up. What do you got, Christy?
Christy Lee
Well, we're going to talk about not naked, but a semi naked milk snatcher. We'll got that coming up.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah, the dirty milk snatcher.
Bob Kevoian
Right, now it's time for me to talk a little bit about American Financing. What do they do? Well, they specialize right now in refinancing because once again, houses worth a lot more than they were just a few years ago. Chick was talking about a friend of his who had a 10 year old house and more than doubled in value. Oh, yeah, they actually just sold it. You don't have to, you don't have to sell your house to take advantage of the increase in the amount that it's worth. Take advantage. Grab some of that equity by refinancing it. Even with today's interest rates, they may not be as low as they were when you bought the house. It doesn't really matter when it comes to the fact when you apply the fact that the house is worth a lot more. So see if this is gonna work for you by calling American Financing or go online@AmericanFinancing.net but they have, they have salaried people that are going to help you, walk you through this. It says they can walk you through it in about 10 minutes. So they can figure out if this might work for you. Obviously, it depends on your situation, depends on the quality of your house, where you live, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. But their average client right now is knocked about 800 bucks a month off. So that's pretty serious business. So if you could use some extra cash, this might be something that you could do right now. Once again, visit American Financing. You can call them at 866-889-2611 or do a slash Bob and Tom on this one. So they know that we sent you american financing.net Bob and Tom. Once again, that's american financing.net NMLS 182334 NMLSConsumeraccess.org Average savings based on borrowers who save over $200.
Tom Griswold
Welcome back to the Bob and Tom show in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Christy Lee at the News Dash hello, Pat Godwin.
Ace Cosby
Hello.
Tom Griswold
There's Jess Hooker.
Jess Hooker
Hello, Josh.
Ace Cosby
Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Boy, Christie really bullied us in the green room, man.
Tom Griswold
Throwing elbows.
Christy Lee
Leave me alone.
Tom Griswold
Gave me a flat tire. Came up behind me.
Bob Kevoian
Patch, you ever been, I know you like to swim a lot.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
You ever swim in a Guy.
Pat Godwin
Say it again?
Bob Kevoian
It's a naked swimming women. A guy pulls up next to doing the backstroke and goes up periscope.
Tom Griswold
That ever happened. Hello.
Pat Godwin
It was you.
Tom Griswold
I'm Chick. Hello. Tom.
Bob Kevoian
I'm not very good at the backstroke.
Josh Arnold
That's always been.
Christy Lee
They're not.
Bob Kevoian
No.
Pat Godwin
That's a tough one.
Christy Lee
Well, you can't now. You've got a back.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah, the butterfly circles.
Pat Godwin
Were you a freestyle man?
Josh Arnold
Yeah. What do you do?
Tom Griswold
How do you swim? Can you swim like freestyle style?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, sure.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, so I can swim them just fine.
Tom Griswold
You got the webbed gloves though, right? That's kind of cool.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And. And then the small swim fins.
Tom Griswold
Oh, you got. Oh, you. Okay.
Pat Godwin
You can only swim at night though, right?
Bob Kevoian
Why?
Pat Godwin
Because of your skin?
Christy Lee
Oh, no, no.
Bob Kevoian
I have a. I have a swimming shirt.
Christy Lee
Oh, what do you have? Swimming pants. Because your legs would be exposed.
Bob Kevoian
You can use. Put a little bit of. What's it called? Spf.
Tom Griswold
Are you seriously concerned about being burned by the sun inside the health club?
Bob Kevoian
Oh, no, no. This is if we're outside.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
No, I mean when I'm in the Bahamas. You saw the outfit I had on, I got up. It's got a hood and everything.
Tom Griswold
Sure.
Christy Lee
Do you ever take a. Like a night dip, naked dip in your pool?
Bob Kevoian
Sharks
Christy Lee
at your house?
Bob Kevoian
No, I've never done that.
Christy Lee
You've never been in your pool?
Tom Griswold
It's like all I would do every night, every morning.
Bob Kevoian
Girls, they swim all the time.
Christy Lee
Start a day like that, why wouldn't you get out? Yeah. In the morning, they go to.
Pat Godwin
They go to bed. You take a night.
Bob Kevoian
I get up at 3 in the morning.
Jess Hooker
Perfect time to do it.
Christy Lee
Nobody's out.
Bob Kevoian
So you're saying. So you want me naked?
Pat Godwin
You bring the guys over, you all get naked?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, man.
Josh Arnold
A Friday night, the kids go to bed and then you grab like a small cooler on the side of the pool.
Pat Godwin
You got the ultimate setup, right?
Christy Lee
Yes.
Bob Kevoian
I gotta try that. I'm too tired, though. You've worked hard for me.
Josh Arnold
That is tough.
Tom Griswold
But you tell whoever get out here it's time to lay some pipe. Let's do this right in the pool.
Bob Kevoian
You're just like a nudie. A nudie.
Christy Lee
So you haven't had sex in your pool yet?
Pat Godwin
You gotta have sex in the pool. No, it's not.
Josh Arnold
It's great.
Donnie Baker
No.
Josh Arnold
Well, you're weird. Remember, water creates friction. Yes, you learned that the hard way.
Bob Kevoian
You know what?
Tom Griswold
Sex in the pool, sex in the shower, all dead ends. Okay?
Bob Kevoian
You don't want to clog the filter. Could we get back to the news? What's happening?
Christy Lee
A woman in Britain was shocked to discover who was responsible for snatching her milk delivery.
Tom Griswold
Well, it wasn't her dentist, was it?
Christy Lee
Birmingham Live reports the resident of Bearwood checked her doorbell camera footage after noticing the absent delivery and saw a woman wearing nothing but her underwear running off with two pints of her milk.
Josh Arnold
You know, I think I would have assumed she must really need that.
Christy Lee
West Midlands police said they received a report of the mill milk theft and asked anyone with information to come forward. They have quite a few. I'm. It's kind of cool in London or in England that they still have a lot of milk.
Josh Arnold
I like that too.
Christy Lee
I love that.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, not with this humidity. They've been having real hot weather there, too.
Christy Lee
I mean, they still have milk delivery, Mr. Buzzkill. God.
Bob Kevoian
No, but I mean, I bet that milk is delicious.
Christy Lee
Oh, I know.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, yeah, they have the milk right there.
Tom Griswold
I don't think you really.
Bob Kevoian
It's the thick cream on top.
Tom Griswold
You don't grasp the idea. A morning conversation, getting together, maybe having a laugh. It always ends with death or taxes or curdled milk or some sort of horrible sexual assault.
Bob Kevoian
I'll say something positive. At least this woman had the decency to wake up early and steal it. So she's a go getter.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, well, that's actually when the milk is delivered.
Christy Lee
That's true.
Bob Kevoian
And she was wearing a bottom, so she didn't snatch the milk.
Ace Cosby
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, but that's what the story was. The milk snatcher.
Bob Kevoian
I know.
Josh Arnold
So she did.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, I guess she did snatch.
Tom Griswold
You shouldn't use the punchline. Never mind.
Christy Lee
A vicar from Newcastle, England, bestowed a blessing in the middle of a skydive.
Josh Arnold
What's a vicar? Like a goalie?
Christy Lee
Yeah, he's God's goalie.
Tom Griswold
What did he steal?
Christy Lee
He didn't steal anything.
Tom Griswold
You said he stowed.
Christy Lee
He bestowed.
Tom Griswold
Oh, he stole something. I told you, he stowed it.
Christy Lee
The Reverend Gerald Rundle was planning to perform his first ever skydive when his tandem instructor asked him to bless the cameraman who was filming the jump. He fulfilled the request and gave the blessing 14, 000ft above the ground.
Josh Arnold
Why not?
Christy Lee
Yeah, yeah, why not?
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. His rabbi buddy likes to do the.
Jess Hooker
The.
Bob Kevoian
The flying bris.
Josh Arnold
That's really risky. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Do you think they have, like, a cigar,
Bob Kevoian
you know, for like, on the.
Tom Griswold
On the roads?
Josh Arnold
There's at least a rabbi who does that as a joke? He just pulls that out.
Tom Griswold
Here we go.
Donnie Baker
What?
Bob Kevoian
I imagine you could probably go online and buy a kit.
Josh Arnold
A moil kit.
Pat Godwin
I saw it happen live. I almost fainted.
Tom Griswold
Absolutely.
Bob Kevoian
I mean, you can buy any kind of religious garb online.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, that's true.
Bob Kevoian
Or whatever you're preference.
Tom Griswold
You mean
Josh Arnold
the religious get ups?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah, you know, you know, you know, for worshiping God or whatever.
Bob Kevoian
The outfits, vestments, I don't know what they. Every, every religion has its own names for that costume.
Tom Griswold
It isn't garb, you know, the Pope's costume.
Christy Lee
Show some respect.
Bob Kevoian
No, I'm just saying, I'm sure you. I imagine.
Josh Arnold
I mean, have you guys seen in my Pope lid? What are my kicks?
Pat Godwin
What are my cargo bins?
Bob Kevoian
Does the Pope carry a wallet?
Christy Lee
I don't know.
Tom Griswold
I bet he has a nice, nice pouch.
Bob Kevoian
Does he have a passport? Yeah, yeah, the Pope now does my face.
Josh Arnold
Is that my passport? I mean, I'm wondering.
Jess Hooker
It goes everywhere.
Pat Godwin
I bet people carry him though.
Bob Kevoian
I mean, when the Pope gets off a plane in a foreign country, do they really come out? Do they?
Jess Hooker
Well, under all of that he's wearing regular clothes.
Christy Lee
They wear pants and a shirt like a normal person.
Tom Griswold
And I bet you, I bet his
Christy Lee
robes have a bunch of secret pockets. I bet.
Tom Griswold
I bet you this Pope goes out when we don't even know about. With a baseball cap.
Christy Lee
Heck yeah. Nobody know who he is.
Tom Griswold
Runs and gets a sandwich or whatever.
Bob Kevoian
White socks, I hope.
Tom Griswold
Absolutely.
Christy Lee
No, he goes with a Cubs hat because nobody would think he would wear that.
Josh Arnold
Ah, good point.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Hey, a Star Wars.
Bob Kevoian
We always thought it would be really funny. We were talking to Peyton Manning once and he thought, you know, I could actually put on my jersey and go somewhere and no one would think it was me because they'd be going, no, Peyton would never.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, there's no way he would wear his own jersey.
Bob Kevoian
He'd be in disguise. Kind of a meta disguise, if you will.
Christy Lee
A Star wars Prop sold for $3.75 million.
Ace Cosby
What?
Tom Griswold
It was lightsaber.
Christy Lee
It was a lightsaber and severed hand from the Empire Strikes Back.
Tom Griswold
Oh, it's Luke's hand.
Christy Lee
Yeah, Luke's handed. They'd never been offered. Spoiler alert from.
Tom Griswold
Wait a minute. So what happened when he cut off Leia's head?
Josh Arnold
Another spoiler alert.
Christy Lee
This has never been offered for public sale. And it set a new world record for a screen used Star wars prop.
Josh Arnold
That is pricey boy.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Constructed from a modified grade flag Flex flash unit. Well done by the original Severed Hand effects rig created from the cast of Mark Hamill's. Hand.
Jess Hooker
All right.
Christy Lee
Yeah. I don't know who bought it, but
Bob Kevoian
I bet that I know it's going to end up in that hand.
Christy Lee
Oh, man, here we go.
Josh Arnold
Or you know where that hand's gonna end up.
Tom Griswold
Little.
Josh Arnold
Little hand.
Bob Kevoian
Solo action.
Pat Godwin
Very nice.
Tom Griswold
Hey, do you do yourself a favor sometime today, go search Mark Hamill impersonating Harrison Ford. It's well worth it.
Josh Arnold
Doesn't he say kid?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, he says kid a lot.
Josh Arnold
That's great.
Christy Lee
Good. Social media. An officially licensed Star wars exhibition will make its exclusive world premiere early next year in celebration of the franchise 50th anniversary. Told through a collection of more than 70 artifacts, many of them on view for the the first time from Lucasfilm, the exhibit invites fans to take a closer look at legendary screen used pieces. Some of the props that will go on display include Darth Maul's lightsaber hilt, Darth Vader's menacing armor, as well as a selection of fan favorite aliens, droids, and creatures such as R2D 2C, 3PO, and Grogu.
Josh Arnold
For $500, you can huff Princess Leia's gold bikini, which I don't know one guy who wouldn't pay it.
Christy Lee
The exhibition opens February 13, 2027 at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Bob Kevoian
But judging by the previous story, that collection's got to be worth $100 million.
Josh Arnold
That'd be a decent movie. A heist. Memorabilia. Heist.
Christy Lee
Star wars memorabilia. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah. You'll have a lot of guys.
Christy Lee
Mark Hamill steals it.
Bob Kevoian
A lot of nerdy guys attending with their moms. The closest they ever get to date night.
Tom Griswold
I don't know no moms.
Josh Arnold
Her son is married.
Christy Lee
Hey, that's a good one.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Even.
Bob Kevoian
Oh, he could go.
Josh Arnold
You can find the girls who'd love the Star Wars.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, what else is going on? Christy?
Christy Lee
A Utah family was surprised to discover a photo of themselves in a San Diego Airbnb in a now viral TikTok video I saw. This video is pretty funny. Aubrey Burrell showed the photograph that captured her father, sister and brother among the beachgoers. It was taken over a decade before, shot by a local photographer, and had been used to decorate local rental properties.
Josh Arnold
They just. This was total coincidence.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Jess Hooker
So it's like, like a drone shot. It's like shot down on the beach, right? Yeah.
Christy Lee
Yeah. The family said they are now getting a copy of the photo for themselves, which would be nice.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
So it was just a chance. It was. Wasn't like some creepy.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Christy Lee
I always thought about those pictures that come in the frames that you buy. Or if you're like, you know, like, who are those people? Or if you're at Cracker Barrel, does this. They put up pictures, old timey pictures, and you're like, well, that's my grandfather. Wouldn't that. I mean, wouldn't that be weird?
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Christy Lee
To walk in and find a family member.
Josh Arnold
Sometimes you go to an antique mall and people are just selling their old photos.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Which I always look at because they're fascinating. I've never purchased.
Christy Lee
Purchased one, but I thought to myself, that's weird to me.
Bob Kevoian
Well, this was in a public place. It wasn't like it was a photograph of these people in their dining room taken through an outside window.
Christy Lee
Now you're talking. No, it was. I was in an Airbnb last week and they had pictures up of, you know, their family, I guess, and kids. And I'm thinking I would take that.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Why would you.
Christy Lee
Why would you do. In one part of my brain, I thought maybe it was made to make you feel like you're in someone's home. You will treat it better.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, I think that's true.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Oh, that's interesting.
Bob Kevoian
The places I rent, usually they'll have a. And they'll have one closet that's locked with personal space.
Josh Arnold
Okay. Remember, this is a person's home.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Christy Lee
I mean, they had photos in, like, every room of their.
Bob Kevoian
Do you remember the story? We had this story. We were talking about this the other day. We had a story about a guy, his family pictures showed up in a porno because he'd. He'd rented the house and they shot a pornographic film there.
Christy Lee
That would be horrific.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, that would be.
Josh Arnold
That's.
Pat Godwin
You know what?
Josh Arnold
That's bad production design on the porno.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Josh Arnold
That per. You get rid of any family photo professional.
Bob Kevoian
I'm guessing that sometimes they're done hastily without a lot of. A lot of quality control. You know, set designed by a guy who's, you know, huffing in the next room, hoping to get 10 bucks to get his next hit.
Jess Hooker
Do you have family photos in your bedroom?
Christy Lee
No.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, me neither.
Christy Lee
No, None. That's supposed to be a. Yeah, that's a no.
Josh Arnold
No, I just have pictures of the Pope. I'm not even Catholic. I just get.
Pat Godwin
Is he in his garb?
Tom Griswold
Didn't you guys go to high school together and swim together? Oh, God, no.
Josh Arnold
He was actually voted most likely to become Pope. Isn't that something?
Bob Kevoian

Oh, and we've got Jimothy.
Christy Lee
Yeah, we do have Jimothy coming.
Bob Kevoian
The kooky, the kooky weirdo raccoon. And we may have time to get our Timothy tribute in.
Christy Lee
Maybe.
Bob Kevoian
I'm hoping. These are the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.

Tom Griswold
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. There's Christy Lee at the news desk.
Christy Lee
Hi.
Tom Griswold
There's that, that Pat Godwin. What's going on, man?
Pat Godwin
Hey, Chick.
Tom Griswold
What's going on? You know, you know, just hanging out. Everything's everything.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
There's Jess Hooker.
Christy Lee
Hello.
Tom Griswold
There's Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold
Hi there.
Tom Griswold
Ace Cosby.
Ace Cosby
Hello.
Tom Griswold
Hello, indeed. I'm Chick and Tom.
Bob Kevoian
I walk in the room And I hear Ms. Hooker saying, how's your bird? You broke your record. For what now?
Jess Hooker
Oysters.
Bob Kevoian
Well, I didn't understand what?
Jess Hooker
Oysters. I went out to dinner by myself on Friday.
Josh Arnold
Yes, Queen, Yes.
Tom Griswold
And nobody deserves your love and affection more than yourself.
Christy Lee
That's right.
Jess Hooker
Yes. Treat yourself. So, yeah, I went to an oyster bar here in town that I love so much, and I was like, I'm. I'm just gonna see how many of these I can house. We' gonna. We're just gonna go for a new record. And I ordered two dozen up front.
Tom Griswold
Wow.
Josh Arnold
And already a strong order.
Jess Hooker
You. I always start two dozen. It's always two dozen out of the gate for me.
Tom Griswold
How about that?
Bob Kevoian
I don't eat oysters, so explain the protocol.
Tom Griswold
Josh Asker, East Coast. West Coast.
Jess Hooker
West Coast. We just talked about this. I'm.
Pat Godwin
I'm West Coast.
Christy Lee
On your east coast, we found out, right?
Bob Kevoian
What is the difference?
Jess Hooker
It's just where they're from.
Christy Lee
Well, there are oysters from one side of the coast, clearly.
Bob Kevoian
But I mean, in my. In my study studies of hip hop, I have learned that west coast rappers and east coast rappers differ in their context.
Christy Lee
Talking about oysters, I want to say,
Bob Kevoian
do they taste different or they.
Jess Hooker
Yes, they do taste different.
Tom Griswold
East coast are sandier. Is that right?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah, the sand.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
So you.
Josh Arnold
Honestly, we've. Jess and I agreed.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
And she would know, but I also found this to be the case, that west coast were a richer, stronger flavor.
Pat Godwin
Not.
Josh Arnold
Not stronger in a bad way.
Jess Hooker
No, just intense.
Bob Kevoian
Did you take a fork and scrape them out of the shell?
Josh Arnold
I did.
Pat Godwin
Now you had. You start two.
Jess Hooker
Two dozen.
Pat Godwin
And then what happened?
Jess Hooker
And. And then. And then I ordered another dozen.
Josh Arnold
Okay, so now we're to 36.
Jess Hooker
And then I ordered a dozen more.
Josh Arnold
So did you finish 48?
Jess Hooker
I finished 48.
Josh Arnold
Wow.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Wow.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
And then I had a bowl of ramen.
Josh Arnold
Whoa, you really.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, yeah, I had ramen, and then I had this amazing black silk sesame
Tom Griswold
dump. Is what. What he said.
Christy Lee
Yeah, I took it.
Bob Kevoian
Sorry.
Josh Arnold
And then I went back and did another half dozen.
Christy Lee
There you go.
Jess Hooker
Christy, maybe you need oysters.
Christy Lee
I don't know what was. The oysters would make me go the other way. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
What was the dessert? A black silk.
Jess Hooker
Black silk sesame cake piece of cake.
Tom Griswold
Wow.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Delicious.
Jess Hooker
Oh, did you drive.
Bob Kevoian
Did you drive home, or did you have to Uber because you were having a food?
Jess Hooker
No, I felt great.
Christy Lee
I went home.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, it was.
Christy Lee
Sent you back about 300 bucks.
Josh Arnold
Hell yeah, baby.
Bob Kevoian
Well worth it, I'm sure. Oh, we have to. I want to get this one story
Tom Griswold
swept that aside, didn't he?
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Sorry.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Would you ever try a raw oyster?
Bob Kevoian
I don't like oysters.
Josh Arnold
Oh, you have tried them?
Bob Kevoian
Yes. The one time I had them, I vomited it.
Jess Hooker
Did you have them baked?
Bob Kevoian
No, they were just Rockefellers.
Tom Griswold
You remember at camp when the campers would baby bird them to you, you'd open your mouth and they put it in your mouth.
Jess Hooker
Here is a suggestion. They often say that anything that's going to make you sick is on the shell. So if you're scared, get them out with a spoon or a fork and eat them. That way. Don't put your mouth on the shell. It's rarely the oyster itself that's going to make you sick.
Josh Arnold
Gotcha.
Bob Kevoian
Yeah, I, I just barfed and at a Little Caesars in Petoskey, Michigan.
Christy Lee
Well, that's the problem.
Bob Kevoian
No, no, I didn't get. No, no, no, I'd eat. I'd eat in the. At home and then. Yeah, no, I, that's. And it's also so putting that in your mouth, it's so waddish. Wad like oysters Rockefeller.
Josh Arnold
I wouldn't know. You were able to compare.
Bob Kevoian
Nice. Nice defense, you know, well played.
Pat Godwin
You really walk under that one.
Bob Kevoian
Chrissy, what do you got over there?
Christy Lee
An unusual looking raccoon in Seattle has captured the hearts of Internet users around. Around the world. Ms. Kiana hall took a now viral footage of the abnormally small creature and the raccoon has been nicknamed Jimothy. Since the video took the Internet by storm, other Seattle residents have shared their encounters with Jimothy while the Internet has been sharing memes, posts and fan art inspired by him. Marsha Logsdon, an associate professor at Washington State University's veterinary teaching hospital, told the Seattle Times the animal may suffer from age a short spine syndrome.
Bob Kevoian
Are you seeing this thing?
Christy Lee
Which is a congenital deformity that causes it an abnormally short neck.
Josh Arnold
You know, it sure doesn't slow it up, does it?
Bob Kevoian
No, it looks like if. If an animal was a El Camino.
Christy Lee
What?
Tom Griswold
You know what? I'm alarmed that I know exactly what he means.
Christy Lee
It looks like a big bug. Yeah.
Bob Kevoian
Or a baboon or something.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
You know what he looks like the cartoon rendition of the Tasmanian devil.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I think he looks like a raccoon. That really has to go number two.
Christy Lee
Timothy has been functioning well and very spry and he has excellent signs.
Bob Kevoian
Reminds me of the movie Timothy. And we have the famous Cliff Note theater, I believe.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
It's time for Oliver's Cliff Notes hits of the 70s this week. Timothy by the Boys from May 1971.
Pat Godwin
Now, here's your host, Oliver Lang.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, let's see.
Tom Griswold
Lyrics are kind of hard to understand here.
Bob Kevoian
I'm just reading them off the album cover.
Tom Griswold
Three guys are trapped in a mine. See, Joe was looking at Tim.
Josh Arnold
Oh, what the.
Bob Kevoian
They ate him.
Christy Lee
Oh, my God.
Ace Cosby
Oh.
Tom Griswold
Gonna be sick.
Bob Kevoian
Did you go?
Tom Griswold
This has been Oliver's Cliff Notes hits of the 70s.
Bob Kevoian
Thank you very much. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Classic.
Bob Kevoian
You're gonna have to listen to that song. Yeah. They eat the guy, right?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah.
Bob Kevoian
These guys get trapped, and so they end up eating one of the guys.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
All I know is one of the guys went in at 180, came out at 2:35.
Bob Kevoian
Okay, thank you very much. We'll explore that more and many other things when we return to the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studio Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Ace Cosby

Episode: July 21, 2026
This episode of The BOB & TOM Show blends sharp comedy, irreverent banter, and topical news and sports in its signature ensemble format. From Donnie Baker’s wild jailhouse musical cameos to uniquely hilarious discussions of swimming pool shapes, bodily function confessions, and listener letters, the team delivers a whirlwind of sketches, running jokes, and mock-serious conversations. Key news stories (dog rescue, world records, odd court cases, sports updates), as well as playful interactions with the “Toothpick Wisdom” segment, create an energetic morning show experience that both satirizes and celebrates everyday life.
The show is energetic, irreverent, and heavy on banter. Frequent callbacks, mock wisdom, and direct audience engagement (through letters, lived experiences, and running inside jokes) sustain a freewheeling, “comedy breakfast table” vibe. The cast isn’t afraid of tasteless humor, but their chemistry (and frequent, loving mockery) keeps it light-hearted and inviting—even through the TMI.
This episode offers:
This is classic BOB & TOM: silly, relatable, and just a little off the rails. If you missed it live, this summary should have you laughing—and reaching for your binoculars, just in case.
