Chick McGee
It's the Bob and Tom Show.
Pat Godwin
Cable channel TNT has the closer. But BNT Network is the only place to catch the debut episode of Greg Warren's hot new show, the Uncloser. And it's a done deal. Only Greg can make it undone. He takes the O's out of smooth and makes it so.
Chick McGee
This is my hotel room.
Josh Arnold
You said you wanted to see it.
Christy Lee
There it is.
Chick McGee
Very nice.
Tom Griswold
Maybe we should put on a little music.
Chick McGee
Do you know, set the mood. I'll do you one better. I'll play you some music.
Josh Arnold
Check this out.
Tom Griswold
What the hell is wrong with you?
Christy Lee
It's the Entertainer.
Chick McGee
You never saw the Sting? Where are you going? I got other songs here.
Josh Arnold
Do you like Christopher Cross?
Chick McGee
You know, it's crazy. Oh my God.
Pat Godwin
The unclosing Greg Warren is a good looking single comic traveling from town to town and meeting lots of beautiful women and scoring with none. All to the disgust of his trusty sidekick, Chick Magee.
Chick McGee
I don't know what it is, Chick.
Pat Godwin
Girls just aren't interested in me.
Chick McGee
What are you talking about? I saw you leave here with two totally hot chicks last night right after the show.
Christy Lee
Perfect example.
Chick McGee
We get done with the show, they want me to give them a ride back to their apartment.
Josh Arnold
So I do.
Jess Hooker
And Greg, thanks for giving Heather and.
Tom Griswold
Me a ride back to our apartment.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, we've probably had a little too much to drink.
Chick McGee
Besides, we wanted to show you our king size bag.
Ace Cosby
Oh, and listen, we were thinking it's just about bedtime.
Christy Lee
Well, you look at me carrying on.
Chick McGee
And you girls are trying to get.
Christy Lee
A little shut eyed.
Josh Arnold
Wow.
Christy Lee
Mr. Can't take a hint.
Chick McGee
It's already past midnight.
Christy Lee
I'LL just let myself out. No, no, don't get up. You girls are in your underwear.
Chick McGee
I'll see you later, cj. I got no luck with the ladies.
Pat Godwin
You idiot.
Christy Lee
You blew it.
Chick McGee
You totally blew it. Those girl wanted to have a threesome.
Pat Godwin
I don't think so, chick.
Christy Lee
For one thing, there weren't even three of them.
Chick McGee
You moron.
Pat Godwin
Greg Warren is sleeping in a different bed every night. Alone. He's the uncloser bnt. We know drama. And we also know that Greg Ward ain't getting laid.
Chick McGee
Damn it. Hello, hello, hello. Good morning. It's the Bob and Top Show. The fabulous Greg Warren on clarinet. There. There's Christy Lee at the Silac Insurance news desk.
Tom Griswold
Hello.
Chick McGee
There's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey there.
Chick McGee
Hi there. Ho there. You're as welcome as can be. There's Josh Arnold. Hi. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick McGee at TheOrangeinSouls.com sports desk. And here he is, somewhat discombobulated. It's Tom Griswold. Hello, Tom.
Josh Arnold
Testing. Hello. There we go. I've been. I've been comboulating for quite some time. Oh, you guys hear me okay?
Chick McGee
So.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah, we hear you fine.
Josh Arnold
Okay. There we go.
Chick McGee
All organized.
Josh Arnold
All right. Yeah. And I was just reviewing over here. It appears that according to various sources, there is not a unbusted bracket out there.
Chick McGee
They're all gone. That's right. So it's official.
Josh Arnold
Men's college basketball fans.
Chick McGee
NCAA tournament brackets busted out on Sunday, ending the hopes of millions. The final perfect brackets on Yahoo. Sports and CBS were shredded with Saturday's games. Top C, Florida 77, 75 win over Yukon. And then the only perfect bracket left was on espn. And that one imploded with Kentucky's win over Illinois creating 24.3 million imperfect brackets. So they're all. They're all busted into little pieces.
Josh Arnold
I bring it up because, sure, your brackets busted, but wouldn't you still like to win something? This is where orangeinsouls.com comes in. Your shot at winning a 4K smart TV. Go to bobandtom.com contest and you'll feel better about life. How's that?
Tom Griswold
There you go.
Josh Arnold
That sound like fun?
Chick McGee
Nothing makes you happier in a big, nice new tv.
Josh Arnold
Sure, Right.
Chick McGee
Gorgeous.
Tom Griswold
How big is too big?
Josh Arnold
Look who you're asking.
Chick McGee
Tom, you wanna. You wanna take this? There's no such thing as.
Josh Arnold
Chip would like one so big that there's actually a doorway in it so he can leave the room.
Tom Griswold
We had a discussion about that. He wanted 98 inches and I wanted 72 inches.
Josh Arnold
You probably settled for 8 inches.
Tom Griswold
Well, we compromised on 85, I think.
Chick McGee
I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say 98 inches might be too big.
Tom Griswold
That's what I thought. Yeah, it's a little big.
Josh Arnold
Is that the size of a 4 by 8 of plywood?
Tom Griswold
I don't know, but it was.
Josh Arnold
I can't envision how big that is.
Chick McGee
Mine's. Mine's 75.
Tom Griswold
What's that one behind you? I think that might be. That might be 98.
Chick McGee
That might be 8. I think that's 80.
Tom Griswold
Is that 85?
Chick McGee
We get a tape measure on this in here?
Josh Arnold
I know we' we're short staff.
Chick McGee
Let's get a tape measure in here.
Josh Arnold
I don't think we can get the tape measure today. Maybe during one of the breaks.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, no, it's. That's 98 inches. Is.
Chick McGee
I can eyeball that. That's 80. 86 inches.
Tom Griswold
Okay. Oh, there you go.
Josh Arnold
Well, in any event, you're getting a new TV, huh?
Tom Griswold
We already got one. Yeah. It's 85 inches.
Chick McGee
I'll ask a question Tom would ask. Is it color?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, it's in color.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Tom Griswold
I was able to even, you know, put all of our streaming services on it. One button, and I just turn it on and there it is.
Chick McGee
I know you plainly remember this. This is a sign of age, though. Everybody remembers our age when you got your first color television.
Pat Godwin
Absolutely.
Chick McGee
Isn't that right?
Tom Griswold
Yep.
Chick McGee
It was a big damn deal, man.
Josh Arnold
Ironically.
Chick McGee
Shut up, you whippersnapper.
Josh Arnold
I believe we got it for the space moonwalk. But that, of course, was fed in black and white. Except the launch and stuff.
Tom Griswold
Right, right, right.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Christy Lee
We had black and white TVs in my house. We had the color in the living room. But then some of the ancillary TVs were still old. Black and white.
Chick McGee
All right. I had a black and white TV in my room. I saved all summer $88 to buy a 13 inch black and white television. And I built.
Tom Griswold
That's sweet.
Chick McGee
Make me sound sort of sad to leave.
Christy Lee
No, it's awesome.
Chick McGee
Make me sound mentally challenged.
Tom Griswold
What are you talking about? No.
Chick McGee
And I built a. I built a rack to hang on the wall and put the TV on the wall and drill the hole.
Tom Griswold
And so this started early for you.
Chick McGee
Oh, God. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
You know, it wasn't black and white.
Chick McGee
You know who my mom and dad is? Shut up. My mom and dad was my elementary school television.
Tom Griswold
Oh, my God.
Christy Lee
That's a shame.
Pat Godwin
Yes.
Chick McGee
Chick, what is it about you that makes you laugh like that about a comment like that? What? What?
Tom Griswold
What is it?
Josh Arnold
Because people aren't willing to embrace history. They're not willing to look at reality.
Tom Griswold
Oh, boy.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Hey, Look, I was 6 years or 5 years old when I went to elementary school. I really didn't have a lot of control over it. I didn't. Jerry. I didn't. I didn't gerrymander the school system yet. That would come later. So, so sorry.
Tom Griswold
So how did we get from TVs to that?
Chick McGee
You running your trap about a humble bragging how big your TV is?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, that's exactly right. One TV right now.
Josh Arnold
How fast is it from turning it on to having a picture show?
Tom Griswold
Instant.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah, instant.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, it's instant, Tom.
Pat Godwin
Everywhere.
Chick McGee
Did you hear that? Did you hear the language? Thomas? How long before you turn it on? You have a picture show?
Pat Godwin
The tubes warm up.
Chick McGee
Hello?
Josh Arnold
I don't know what I've got. It's, It's. It's a solid.
Tom Griswold
I'm telling you, our remote is solar, too. Do you have that?
Chick McGee
Whoever. Whoever hooked up your television, they're having a big laugh every time you turn it on.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, she's got a solar remote. What is that?
Josh Arnold
You have to leave. You have to leave it outside.
Tom Griswold
No, you just.
Josh Arnold
It.
Tom Griswold
It'll charge with a light.
Josh Arnold
That's. That's actually plutonium. You're all gonna die.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Yeah. Don't hold it.
Josh Arnold
That's what. That's what Madame Curie had. Look what happened to her. We do have. Oh, yeah, we do have plutonium in the news today.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, we do.
Josh Arnold
Got some great letters, by the way. I'm looking forward to that. Tom Green is going to be our guest.
Chick McGee
Plutonium in the news.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, we have plutonium in the news and yeah, I love plutonium. Comedian Tom Green.
Tom Griswold
Buy that online.
Christy Lee
I can get you some.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Josh Arnold
Well, you're going to find out what happened when you.
Chick McGee
I might have some at home. I might have some black market plutonium. You're welcome if you're in the market. Thank you, John.
Josh Arnold
Now, I'm not sure we're going to do today. The Ace Cosby joke of the day may not be happening.
Pat Godwin
Oh, no? Why is that?
Josh Arnold
Unless he calls in Ace, as far as I know, we want to get this out there right now.
Chick McGee
Ace, apparently we're looking to you to lead us. Go ahead.
Josh Arnold
Apparently, Ace tripped over his cat, severely breaking his leg.
Tom Griswold
Compound fracture, my friend.
Christy Lee
Oh, no.
Tom Griswold
Through his ankle bone. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Oh, that's brutal.
Tom Griswold
Through his ankle So I saw him in the hospital last night.
Christy Lee
Poor guy.
Pat Godwin
How's he doing?
Tom Griswold
He's doing all right. But as God is my witness, he said, I think I can make it to work in the morning.
Chick McGee
I'd give anything to look up and see him gimping in here. I would love.
Josh Arnold
He's just.
Christy Lee
No way.
Tom Griswold
He's never missed a day of work and he was really concerned.
Josh Arnold
He literally has never missed a day of work life ever.
Christy Lee
Well, a compound fracture.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, yeah.
Christy Lee
There's a reason to.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, We've insisted.
Pat Godwin
Now they kept him overnight.
Josh Arnold
I don't know what kind of.
Tom Griswold
He's in the hospital.
Josh Arnold
I don't know what kind of pain meds he's on, but the possibility of an over the phone Ace Cosby joke of the day does exist.
Tom Griswold
Oh, that'd be great on pain.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I will say he's in a really good mood. And he's talking.
Chick McGee
What's wrong with you people?
Josh Arnold
I imagine the the day Scott's be joke with the day to be the first one with the word Nantucket in it.
Chick McGee
Well, all right.
Tom Griswold
Go ahead, boy.
Chick McGee
Make your bed. Lay in it.
Josh Arnold
But we wish you the best.
Chick McGee
They might have to reattach his ankle. You know how that works.
Tom Griswold
He's already been in surgery and they.
Josh Arnold
Opened and he's got pins and stuff in his.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, he's. Yeah, he's metaled up.
Josh Arnold
So.
Pat Godwin
He fell over the cat.
Tom Griswold
I tripped over the cat. And last week he said in here during a break. He goes, that cat's gonna be the death of me. I tripped over him the other day, too.
Chick McGee
Oh, that reminds me. I owe that cat150. Maybe I'll just send him some kibble.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah, 150 bucks.
Josh Arnold
Well, speaking of cash, if you needed an extra 150 or whatever. Yeah, I'm sure there's a lot of folks that are having a lot of fun with lots of basketball. Etc. Etc. Perhaps you're betting on cricket. We have. We do have cricket coming up in the news. But whatever's going on in your life. A couple quick reminders. Dearly beloved, we are here today to talk about life. Oh, hi. Welcome back to the Bob and Tom show in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Josh Arnold's here. There's Christy Lee and Pat Godwin. I'm Chick McGee. Hello, Tom. How you doing, buddy?
Josh Arnold
Doing just fine over here.
Chick McGee
All right, sir.
Josh Arnold
Hello, everybody. We've got a bunch of letters to get to. I've got stacks of stuff over here.
Tom Griswold
Do you have a good weekend, Tommy?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, it went pretty, pretty, pretty.
Chick McGee
Now, you're on record as saying Saturday and Sundays are brutal.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Josh Arnold
So just one soccer game.
Chick McGee
Just, just the one.
Tom Griswold
Was it outdoors?
Josh Arnold
No, no, no, no, no. In little indoors.
Chick McGee
All right, all right.
Josh Arnold
A lot of fun.
Tom Griswold
Did you watch a lot of basketball?
Josh Arnold
I watched some basketball. I got some work done. Did a bunch of dog walking. Usual. Had some interesting conversations with my dogs.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah.
Josh Arnold
We've set up some new rules.
Chick McGee
I bet you. You cover a lot of ground with the puppy dogs, don't you? Yeah, it was day yesterday or something. There's like 19 of these. I swear there are.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, my puppy is phased out of that rough phase now. Pat, you have a puppy puppy, yeah.
Pat Godwin
And I didn't have Jimmy this weekend, so it was all puppy.
Josh Arnold
Jimmy's your son. Your puppy is my son, yes.
Pat Godwin
The puppy's name is Brody. So it was Brody and I all weekend.
Tom Griswold
How'd that go?
Pat Godwin
That went just about as well as you could expect.
Chick McGee
Pat Godwin, of course, a big San Francisco 49ers fan. So the dog's named after John Brody. Quite.
Pat Godwin
How did you know that?
Chick McGee
Of the 49ers? Back in the late 60s, early 70s.
Pat Godwin
It was a mixture of fun and mistakes.
Tom Griswold
And did he have some mistakes?
Pat Godwin
Oh, yeah.
Christy Lee
Lots.
Josh Arnold
Oh, did you go to your doggy class?
Pat Godwin
I did, yeah.
Chick McGee
No kidding.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Well, good.
Tom Griswold
Did it go well? You're not.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, yeah, it's going well. Very tired. I get up at 2am now. It used to be 3:30. It's a whole different thing for me.
Josh Arnold
Have you cleaned the carpet yet?
Pat Godwin
The carpets are semi clean. Let's call it that.
Chick McGee
Someone told me the best I can. Having a puppy is like having a baby. It is. Kind of is, yeah.
Pat Godwin
I can see him getting better slightly, though. He's.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Not crying in the crate.
Chick McGee
So good. He gets it eventually.
Pat Godwin
I use your little trick of putting the snack in the crate and then the Benadryl in the snack.
Josh Arnold
No. Well, let's just get to it.
Chick McGee
I got one word for you. Ether. Okay, here's what you do.
Josh Arnold
So.
Chick McGee
Correct.
Josh Arnold
Have you written any songs about your dog yet? Have you?
Pat Godwin
I am. And I. I wrote a song called oh, De Brody. Yeah.
Chick McGee
About what?
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah. Share it.
Pat Godwin
Want to hear right now?
Josh Arnold
Absolutely. Right.
Chick McGee
How about Odie to Brody? Does that help you at all?
Pat Godwin
No, it doesn't.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
I would have gone with that too, Chick.
Chick McGee
Fair enough. Thank you, Tom.
Ace Cosby
Odie Debroti.
Josh Arnold
Odie de Brody.
Chick McGee
Odie Debroti.
Pat Godwin
Let's go with Odie.
Chick McGee
Remember Odie Collodi?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Wasn't that a cartoon?
Pat Godwin
Now, this is gonna be a little sloppy, but I think it's kind of cute.
Chick McGee
Okay. We like sloppies.
Josh Arnold
There we go.
Chick McGee
Yellow.
Pat Godwin
Getting a puppy was a great idea. Oh, the look on my son's face was worth the price. Potty training is harder than I expected. Respected. And all your friends, like Tom and Christy, give you advice. They say take him out a lot. Oh, no late night snacks. Put him in the crate at night. Oh, you gotta keep him on track. Oh, I've done it all. But these are the facts. I'm never getting my apartment deposit back. He chewed the molding and crapped on the carpet. Got out of the crate and the bedroom door got scratched. And I have no idea how the window got cracked But I can tell you this. I'm never, ever getting my deposit back. Hello, unconditional love. Goodbye. Eighteen hundred dollars. 385 bucks for his shots, 23 for the leash and collar. Oh, but we love a little Brod. Oh, but these are the facts. I'm never getting my apartment deposit back. Odie to Brody. Little sloppy.
Josh Arnold
No, no, no. I like it very much.
Chick McGee
Lovely.
Josh Arnold
You know, all through. Good to know. Time down to check in with you, the listener. And your. Your mail. We always appreciate it.
Chick McGee
Oh, is it time for letters? Hot dogs. Time for letters. And now, here's your first letter from Tom Griswold. Tom. Well, where's our first letter from?
Josh Arnold
Our first letter is from Fort Myers, Florida.
Chick McGee
Oh, Sonny. Fort Myers.
Josh Arnold
Todd writes. You guys mentioned the art form of diddling.
Chick McGee
Yes, we did.
Christy Lee
Hey.
Josh Arnold
Scottish form of diddling.
Chick McGee
Yep.
Josh Arnold
Are you aware that there is a classic rock and roll song that has been going through my head recently? I did some research, and here is the song. I'm gonna play it for you. According to Todd, this features rock and roll diddling. Here we go.
Chick McGee
I don' this more.
Josh Arnold
Is this more a yodeling?
Chick McGee
I think, yeah. I think there's a fine line between yodeling and diddling. And you got to let this go until the guitar comes in. Here it comes. Here it comes.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Oh, that's a great song. That is the band Focus and the song Hocus Pocus.
Tom Griswold
Focus. Go Pocus by Focus.
Chick McGee
We didn't call it. We called it Huckus.
Josh Arnold
Oh.
Chick McGee
We call it Huckus Pocket Focus.
Christy Lee
That's the way to go.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah. That's the way to go in here. Sophomore in high school. That's the way to go.
Josh Arnold
Dutch rock band, right?
Chick McGee
I think they are Dutch. Yeah. Now that you're saying that.
Christy Lee
Yeah. I do not consider that diddling.
Josh Arnold
That's more yodeling.
Christy Lee
Absolutely.
Chick McGee
And there's a Part in there, I think where the drummer plays on the neck of the guitar. There's in a percussion. They tune the car a guitar somehow. And it's like, what the hell is that?
Josh Arnold
I'm just gonna turn and ask Ace that. Then I realized that's not Ace.
Chick McGee
Well, let's not. Let's not focus on him not being here.
Josh Arnold
Let's.
Chick McGee
Let's focus on.
Josh Arnold
I'm not kidding.
Chick McGee
I'm actually here.
Josh Arnold
I'm just so used to going 30 degrees left and seeing Ace once again. Ace broke his leg yesterday.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Tripping over his cat. Quite a serious break. He had to have surgery. He'll be out a day or two, it would appear. I would encourage him to take a couple weeks off, but knowing Ace, good luck anyways. We certainly wish him the best.
Tom Griswold
Focus. Have any other hits?
Josh Arnold
I don't think so.
Chick McGee
I think. I think they are in a one hit wonderland.
Josh Arnold
Only Dutch rock band I can think of would be the guys that had that. A couple great songs. That Twilight Zone and.
Chick McGee
Oh, Golden.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that's the one. Radar Love. Yeah, yeah. Golden era. Yeah. Terrific.
Chick McGee
Very good.
Josh Arnold
But I don't know if Focus or wait a minute. Is the band is Focus and the song is Hocus Pocus.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, it's kind of confused.
Chick McGee
Or Hakus Pakus.
Josh Arnold
Okay, bye. The word. It's like the word is. There's fracas and then ruckus.
Pat Godwin
Right.
Josh Arnold
But there's no. Yeah, portman. Was it a portman too? What is that when you put them together? Yep. So fracas wouldn't be a word.
Chick McGee
Rumpus. What's a rumpus? Yeah, bruja.
Josh Arnold
Okay. Did you have a letter over there?
Chick McGee
Good morning, windbags. Oh, hey. Chrissy as a yooper.
Tom Griswold
Oh, there you go, Tom.
Chick McGee
I take issue with Tom's assertion. Get comfortable. I'm sure Tom didn't say this and he'll make it clear. Tom's assertion on Friday that Beaver island is the largest island in the Great Lakes.
Josh Arnold
Inhabited, I think, is the question. What is it? Are they going to say Isle Royal?
Chick McGee
Beaver island is just shy of 56 square miles. Isle Royal, far superior, 206 square.
Josh Arnold
I think the criteria was inhabited.
Tom Griswold
Ah.
Josh Arnold
And I have been to both islands, of course.
Chick McGee
You have?
Josh Arnold
Yes. I encountered a moose, of course, on Isle Royale. And you know something, Josh?
Christy Lee
What's that?
Josh Arnold
They're much bigger than I thought.
Christy Lee
Tall.
Josh Arnold
When you. When you're walking down a path and you look up, oh, there's a gigantic moose standing in front of me.
Tom Griswold
Did you take your Chris Craft to the Islands?
Josh Arnold
No, sailboat.
Chick McGee
You backpacked across the island?
Josh Arnold
Oh, no. To Isle Royale. I'm sorry. A ferry boat sailed to Beaver Island.
Chick McGee
A ferry boat?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Great.
Josh Arnold
In any event, no. We had this in the news for a couple of reasons, but they now are the. The Shinola people. Which people think I'm lying about this? You're aware of this, right?
Chick McGee
I sent you the email. But I have a Shinola bag. Yes. I love Shinola.
Josh Arnold
Shinola is a watch company now. Used to be. Wasn't it a shoeshine cream or something?
Chick McGee
They have many things. They have watches and clothing, and they now have luggage.
Josh Arnold
Special tribute watch to that area of the country.
Tom Griswold
And they have jewelry.
Josh Arnold
Petoskey stone.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Okay. There we go. Yeah, I'm aware that. I just was reading an article about Beaver Island.
Tom Griswold
I thought they'd be prettier.
Pat Godwin
They're not.
Tom Griswold
They're not that pretty. Petoskey stones. Kind of a amber color.
Pat Godwin
So I got you for your birthday. Have a ticket back?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I guess so.
Josh Arnold
He just found one by the lake. He hasn't polished it.
Tom Griswold
Oh, of course.
Josh Arnold
Gonna give it to you.
Tom Griswold
Wrapped up a rock polisher as a kid. One of those little things?
Pat Godwin
No, I was a woodworker like Tom.
Tom Griswold
Oh, okay.
Josh Arnold
Now we have more letters.
Chick McGee
And on the subject of lakes in the Midwest, Mike's not finished. You should know that every One of Minnesota's 10,000 lakes was created by Paul Bunyan.
Josh Arnold
Oh.
Chick McGee
Repeatedly being knocked on his ass by Chuck Norris.
Christy Lee
You snuck one in, huh?
Josh Arnold
I like that very much.
Chick McGee
I know you do. That's from Mike Upper.
Josh Arnold
Here's something interesting, all right? This comes to us from. From Tex.
Chick McGee
Is that the name of your penis? Isn't that right?
Christy Lee
Did you once call your penis Text?
Chick McGee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
That's what he told us.
Pat Godwin
What you told us.
Josh Arnold
I did not name it.
Chick McGee
Oh, somebody named it Sex.
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Chick McGee
Did Joanne name it?
Josh Arnold
Far too modest.
Chick McGee
No, it sounds like Joanne named it. And I know her last name. I'm editing. Or is she dead? Is she dead? W. I'm just asking.
Christy Lee
I, too, would like to know if she's dead.
Josh Arnold
She is not. And she has never. She has never encountered text in any form.
Chick McGee
Who named your penis?
Josh Arnold
I don't even know who this person is.
Pat Godwin
Kyle's girlfriend.
Tom Griswold
She was a neighbor.
Josh Arnold
A gentleman would never discuss such matters.
Chick McGee
She lived across the street, got over the waist.
Josh Arnold
This comes to us from text.
Chick McGee
Text, I apologize and give candy away. Or you could. All right.
Josh Arnold
Could you shut up my. Hang down. Once again, text rights. I live in the country outside of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Nice country.
Chick McGee
What country would that be?
Tom Griswold
Out in the country.
Josh Arnold
Am I going to get through any of this? Probably not. I live there nine months of the year. It's God's country. Except for March and April. It's the mud season and the skunk breeding season. They're up and down the creek in front of our house. They spray everywhere to attract each other.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah.
Josh Arnold
When they start spraying, our dogs go into action and trap them. Oh, this is awful.
Chick McGee
Rip their throats.
Josh Arnold
You can't get rid of the stench, so he traps them and disposes of them. That unfortunate word. Euthanize. No, the skunks.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
What? Euthanize is an odd word.
Tom Griswold
Why is he.
Josh Arnold
Because you're not making them younger, you're making them deader. Well, Judge George Carlin over here, he goes the.
Chick McGee
Why do you park in a driveway and drive?
Josh Arnold
Because you trap them. The stench is so strong, you can taste it. Yikes. Okay, good to know. Watch out for those skunks.
Tom Griswold
I think the skunks were there before he was. Leave them alone.
Josh Arnold
I. I don't think so.
Tom Griswold
All right.
Josh Arnold
Hey, guys. I loved your guest on Friday. That was Joe Dombrowski. Have him as a regular. He was very funny. I watched him on YouTube. I've replayed the show six times. Got a bunch of letters. People who enjoyed Joan, Joe Dombrowski certainly now. Got a letter over there. Chick Magee.
Chick McGee
Hello. Long time listener, first time, whatever that is. This is word for word, but I've been curious about a playlist from Tom for a road trip. I know King Charles made a playlist and you talked about it on the show, but Tom, I would be interested in his playlist. I've been curious as to what that would be for a long road trip. If he could control the radio, iPhone, record player, whatever. Also, I love when all you guys gang up on Tom for his ridiculousness. Well, everything that seems normal for normal people.
Josh Arnold
You're the one that would be better for a playlist.
Chick McGee
No, Yeah, I think we have very different.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I mean, I'd have to say.
Chick McGee
We'Re asking about you.
Josh Arnold
I can't just. Just shout it out. I haven't. I'd have to sit down and think about it. But I mean, you certainly listen to a lot more music than I. I have Chicks playlist.
Pat Godwin
It's amazing.
Chick McGee
Keep it to yourself, will you? I think I put it up on somewhere. I know it's up there somewhere.
Pat Godwin
Well, then you should keep it to yourself.
Chick McGee
Search me. Yeah. Now, maybe I. Maybe I did put It. Here we go. Hello. Morning show. Gods and Christy. Sad to hear. I guess gods are guys.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. Goddess.
Chick McGee
That's God implication. Sad to hear of Ace hurting himself, but my question is, is the cat okay?
Tom Griswold
The cat is okay, we think.
Josh Arnold
Once again, Ace tripped over his cat and severely injured his leg. He had a compound fracture, had to have surgery yesterday afternoon.
Chick McGee
And more importantly, isn't this the first time he's ever missed work?
Ace Cosby
Yes.
Josh Arnold
This is the first time he has ever, in more than 40 years, missed a day of work.
Chick McGee
That's.
Pat Godwin
Where is the cat? Somebody else may have the cat.
Josh Arnold
Someone. It's. It's all. It's okay.
Tom Griswold
We're taking care of you.
Chick McGee
Got to go feed the cat.
Tom Griswold
Maybe.
Pat Godwin
Poor guy.
Tom Griswold
Well, ask him where his key to the house is. That's.
Chick McGee
What?
Tom Griswold
No idea.
Chick McGee
He doesn't know where his key is?
Tom Griswold
No idea.
Chick McGee
Oh, he has a garage door opener.
Josh Arnold
I.
Tom Griswold
He. At last check. We don't know how we're going to get in there, but we're going to get in there.
Chick McGee
You know, I don't.
Pat Godwin
This is getting weirder.
Tom Griswold
I know it's Ace.
Chick McGee
I don't use a key to get in the house.
Tom Griswold
I don't either, but I clap right in.
Josh Arnold
Oh, clapper.
Christy Lee
Right on the line there. I've never heard of it being used that way.
Josh Arnold
That's cool.
Pat Godwin
As.
Chick McGee
I'll get out.
Pat Godwin
That's a new feature.
Josh Arnold
Now, I have a question, so could anyone just go.
Christy Lee
No.
Josh Arnold
It knows your clap.
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
You got to do it certain frequency.
Pat Godwin
Like Alexa and all that.
Josh Arnold
We're probably not that far away from that technology.
Tom Griswold
You're right.
Josh Arnold
Or you could have. It would recognize your clap.
Chick McGee
That would be.
Tom Griswold
Wouldn't that be convenient?
Chick McGee
Oh, do they have the. Like in the spy movies, the retina scan available for your home?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that.
Chick McGee
Do they really?
Pat Godwin
They'd have to.
Josh Arnold
Sure. Yeah. Yeah.
Chick McGee
How much is that? What's the price point on that?
Josh Arnold
That. I don't know.
Chick McGee
That sounds like a Sky Mall item. I don't know.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, but I. The problem with that, I've always thought is that then someone kills you and takes your eyeball out, walks up and hold it up.
Tom Griswold
Oh, that's a movie plot for sure.
Pat Godwin
That was a thing with the fingerprint stuff.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Oh, they cut off your thumb and.
Tom Griswold
Yep.
Josh Arnold
Wow. Okay, good to know.
Chick McGee
Well, don't they do that with the face ID on your iPhone?
Christy Lee
They take your face off if you.
Chick McGee
Passed out or women will.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, you're screwed.
Josh Arnold
On a much lighter note.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold

Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Top Show. There's Christy Lee at the SILAC Insurance news desk. There's Pat Godwin. Hello, Josh hey, I'm Chick McGee at the orange and souls.com sports desk. Hello, Tom.
Josh Arnold
Well, let's check in with Things at the sports desk. What's going on over there?
Chick McGee
Let's do it. Derek Queen. God bless the Queen. That's what Maryland basketball fans are saying this morning. He banked in a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer and Maryland advanced to the Sweet 16 a thriller, beating Colorado State 72 71. They call the Maryland basketball team the Crab 5. Oh.
Josh Arnold
Huh. Huh.
Chick McGee
You know, like the Beatles with the Fab Four. And then the Michigan freshmen were the Fab Five. This is the Crab.
Josh Arnold
That's great.
Chick McGee
Because of Maryland.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, they have crabs there.
Chick McGee
Okay. I had high hopes for that.
Josh Arnold
Oh, his fits. I like that very much.
Chick McGee
Okay. Walter Clayton, junior. Great guy. You know who I can't stand? Walter Clayton, senior.
Christy Lee
Tough, tough man.
Chick McGee
Tough guy.
Christy Lee
Tough as nails.
Chick McGee
He's tough, but he's fair. He raised a fine son. Florida ended UConn's pursuit of a third straight national. The Natty Clayton two key three pointers in the final three minutes. 77, 75 win over the top seed Gators. And Danny Hurley, head coach of UConn, left the court screaming about the refs and telling Florida I hope they don't F you like they effed us. Oh, plain as the Aha.
Christy Lee
Sportsmanship audio.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
Sore loser.
Chick McGee
Well, yeah. No, no. Correct brackets. Every. Every bracket has been busted. Tom, did you did not fill out a bracket, did you?
Josh Arnold
I did not.
Chick McGee
Who do you have left? You have Auburn, right? I know Auburn is still in.
Josh Arnold
Auburn, Maryland, Tennessee.
Chick McGee
I think they're all three.
Josh Arnold
We have in our. We have a.
Chick McGee
There you go.
Josh Arnold
Pick them out of a hat bracket. Going on here in the building.
Chick McGee
And now we need some into. I forgot to ask Hoffy. Intro music for Tom. Sports just for Tom.
Josh Arnold
Okay, ready?
Chick McGee
Lindsey Vaughn, great skier. Concluded her comeback season at age 40. A second place finish in the World Cup Super G Sunday. That was won by Swiss racer Lara Gut Bambarami.
Christy Lee
Charmed, I'm sure.
Chick McGee
Yes. And you remember Lindsey Vaughn? Do you remember Vaughn Monroe? That's right. That's Vaughn.
Josh Arnold
I didn't hear him.
Chick McGee
What happened? I don't know. It stops after four seconds. I don't know what short song, but.
Josh Arnold
It was a hit.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Christy Lee
You couldn't get away from that song, man.
Chick McGee
People were singing.
Pat Godwin
Stuck in your head all day.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah.
Josh Arnold
Lindsey Von. Spells it V O N N. So she.
Chick McGee
She got married during her brief retirement to Vaughn Monroe.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Oh, and he. He took her name so now he's Von Vaughn.
Josh Arnold
Is this his biggest hit? Hang on a second.
Christy Lee
Von super.
Chick McGee
Doie. What's that S?
Pat Godwin
What is that?
Christy Lee
That's two things playing at once.
Pat Godwin
Oh, let's get that.
Josh Arnold
How is that possible?
Chick McGee
Two things playing at once for sure. I don't know.
Josh Arnold
That wasn't what he meant to do with it.
Chick McGee
Von Monroe's mess. He rested as he went along his way Listen to his voice. When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw a plowing through the ragged R and up.
Christy Lee
A cloudy draw.
Josh Arnold
Reverb. Yeah. What does he have? The fellas must be out in the park.
Chick McGee
This is. What a great song.
Christy Lee
Yeah, that's great.
Josh Arnold
That's Vaughn Monroe. I was.
Christy Lee
I love that kind of stuff.
Josh Arnold
That was his hit, huh?
Chick McGee
Yeah. Von Monroe. That's right.
Josh Arnold
Okay, very good. Anytime you can tie skiing into Vaughn Monroe.
Christy Lee
Well, good on Lindsey Vaughn.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Second place.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
40, 40 years old, she broke her.
Tom Griswold
Leg and like horrible injury, I thought.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
And that's incredibly dangerous.
Chick McGee
Oh yeah, I know. To ski. And she has to buy her lift tickets for all those.
Christy Lee
Oh yeah, that gets priced.
Chick McGee
Yeah, that's a real save.
Christy Lee
All those receipts.
Chick McGee
Lift tickets. So asap.
Tom Griswold
All those tickets on her jacket keep flapping into her face.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
For those that ski. You know what I'm talking about.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Pat Godwin
For those that ski.
Chick McGee
Yes, yes, yes. For those that ski.
Pat Godwin
Three people in our audience.
Chick McGee
Tuesday's first game of the Tokyo series between the Cubs and the Dodgers averaged more than 25 million viewers in Japan, according to Major League Baseball, making it the most watched Major League Baseball in Japan's history. The audience for the Dodgers 41 win over the Cubs surpassed 18.7 million viewers who tuned tuned in for the first game of last year's Soul Series in South Korea. Series scared me. Oh, sad news in the sports world over the weekend, one of the heroes from my childhood, George Foreman, has passed away. His family announced his death on social media. He was 76. He was from Texas. George started his boxing career an Olympic gold medalist, holding that little flag with his there in the middle of the ring. In his 20s, he became the heavyweight champion of the world, only to lose his title to Muhammad Ali in one of the most memorable fights in boxing history. At 45 years old, George became the oldest man to win the heavyweight championship. He fought only four more times, finishing 765 with 68 knockouts. He moved on, of course, as a pitch man, a businessman. And every now and then he would axe his best known of course for the George Foreman Grill yeah.
Tom Griswold
Yep.
Chick McGee
Which launched the same year as his victory over Michael Moore. It's sold 100 million units. He's said to have made close to $200 million on the George Foreman Grill.
Josh Arnold
In honor of that, if you saw it, they're going to present the casket at a 30 degree angle.
Pat Godwin
Less fat, so.
Tom Griswold
With a drip tray.
Josh Arnold
With a big tray. Hunter. That's a nice image, by the way. I do know this for sure. He survived by his sons. George. George.
Tom Griswold
George.
Josh Arnold
George.
Tom Griswold
How many? Eight.
Josh Arnold
George.
Christy Lee
Well, that's a form of child abuse, huh?
Josh Arnold
Yes.
Christy Lee
Come on.
Josh Arnold
No. Am I correct in saying that you, Pat Godwin, are a George Foreman Grill guy?
Pat Godwin
That's what I use to cook Jimmy's ribeyes. And is that right? This is odd. My George Foreman Grill died on Friday. Oh, it crapped.
Tom Griswold
I wish I'd known that I had one. I just gave away what.
Christy Lee
You can have mine, Pat. I, I, I don't use it anymore.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, and it works really well.
Pat Godwin
That's what I use for Jimmy. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
If I had known.
Josh Arnold
Do you remember who turned it down?
Chick McGee
I want to say Holyfield, one of the other boxers.
Josh Arnold
The company that made it offered it to other people before George Floyd said he'd do it.
Chick McGee
Right, right, right.
Josh Arnold
And whoever said no lost out on millions and millions of dollars.
Chick McGee
Hindsight might have been the George Foreman blender. I don't know if you remember that or not, but that was a thing.
Josh Arnold
I'm so, I, I, that would make sense, though.
Chick McGee
They had mix on the George, the, the Joe Frazier blender. They had mix.
Josh Arnold
Joe Frazier blender.
Chick McGee
What did I say?
Josh Arnold
George Foreman.
Chick McGee
George Foreman. I meant Joe Frazier.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I see.
Chick McGee
And they mix, purify and left hook.
Pat Godwin
Oh, wow.
Chick McGee
Yeah, he had a great left hook. Boxing fans are laughing right now. They're having a sports coming up, including a world record and spit coming up in sports. How important is spit in sports?
Josh Arnold
Well, I think we're gonna find out.
Chick McGee
In Sports is special.
Josh Arnold
Coming up. This, this Thursday, the show will come to you live from Cincinnati. We've got a very special T shirt charity thing we put together. Same for Toledo.
Chick McGee
And we have a letter from Cincinnati inviting us to festivities. We'll go over that when we come back.
Josh Arnold

Tom Griswold
Hey Chick.
Chick McGee
Hey, there's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey Chick.
Chick McGee
What an incredible shirt.
Pat Godwin
This is a shirt that Josh gave us.
Tom Griswold
Really nice shirt.
Chick McGee
I would not have given that away. Josh, you.
Christy Lee
It fit me oddly or something? Yeah, yeah.
Pat Godwin
They're too small in the crotular area.
Christy Lee
It may have been I'm large shirts do that.
Chick McGee
There's Jess Hooker. Hi. Hi there. Oh, you've got the Bob and Tom. Zip up on that. You can find@the bobandtom.com.
Jess Hooker
No, no you can't. It's a limited time edition.
Chick McGee
Limited time. Okay. Not available anymore.
Josh Arnold
The search ebay for one.
Jess Hooker
There's other things now on the pop up shop.
Josh Arnold
There are.
Chick McGee
Yeah. T shirts.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, our T shirts are up.
Chick McGee
There you go.
Josh Arnold
Do we have samples of the ones we'll be selling for charity this weekend?
Jess Hooker
I get them tomorrow.
Josh Arnold
Okay, good, good, good.
Chick McGee
There's Josh Arnold. Hi, I'm Chick McGee at the orangeinsouls.com sports desk. Hello, Tom. We have another letter.
Josh Arnold
Before we get to that, we have a thing we have to clarify here. Oh, sadly the. The great boxer George Foreman died over the weekend. You were correct. I've been doing a little reading about this. It's estimated he made at least $200 million on the George Foreman Grill.
Chick McGee
Far and away more than he ever made in boxing.
Josh Arnold
And it is disputed as to whether or not others turned it down. The sort of legend is that Hulk Hogan turned it down.
Tom Griswold
That's what I thought.
Josh Arnold
But there's a bunch of different stories that he's told over the years. So who's to say but George Foreman didn't invent this thing. It was just they presented it to him and he would later say he became more recognized for that than for his boxing career. But 200 million is the estimate.
Jess Hooker
God bless that device. It got me through college.
Christy Lee
Yeah, man, it was a good device.
Josh Arnold
This Article says nearly everyone owns one.
Chick McGee
No kidding.
Josh Arnold
They've sold a couple hundred million of them.
Chick McGee
I do not own it.
Jess Hooker
Never.
Chick McGee
Never bought one.
Josh Arnold
Invented by a guy in Batavia, Illinois.
Christy Lee
It was effective.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Bravo to those guys. We have a quick letter over here. We've been talking a lot about driver's ed and we have.
Chick McGee
Did you have a sports coach teach you driver's ed in high school?
Jess Hooker
I did, Mr. Thayer. He was my fifth grade teacher. And then he was girls basketball coach and softball coach and all kinds of things. And then he was my driver's ed instructor.
Josh Arnold
And I said, God bless these guys.
Jess Hooker
Oh, he's amazing. Great dude.
Josh Arnold
Teaching driver's ed is impossible. But this. This is from Kevin in Idaho.
Chick McGee
Damn. Kids.
Josh Arnold
Raised on a rural farm. Population of his town, 318.
Chick McGee
Nice. Real nice. Salute.
Josh Arnold
Graduating class, 21 people.
Chick McGee
Oh, that's neat.
Josh Arnold
Driver's ed. What's interesting about this is biology Phys Ed teacher was also the driving instructor. They had to learn on both an automatic and a manual transmission.
Christy Lee
Oh, cool.
Chick McGee
Really?
Tom Griswold
Did they have to learn on a tractor too? That would be cool.
Josh Arnold
They probably already knew that. I'm guessing.
Chick McGee
What about a four wheeler? How about a dirt bike?
Josh Arnold
I don't take questions during the letters.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
We had to drive 50 miles on two lane roads just to get to an interstate so we could learn how to experience interstate traffic in our town. There was no parallel parking, so he had to set up a fake one.
Christy Lee
Sure.
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
It was all angle parking. And I love angle parking. Pull up in front of the storage. Oh, that's the best.
Chick McGee
No, flasher parking. That's the best turn. The flashers are pulled right up on the sidewalk front of the store. Run in.
Josh Arnold
But thank you very much. Kevin and I believe that. Is that the hotline ringing?
Chick McGee
I think it might be.
Josh Arnold
Hello? Hello? Is anybody there?
Chick McGee
Yeah, can you hear me?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, speak up.
Chick McGee
Hold on. This is Septic and Septic plumbing supply and driving school.
Josh Arnold
Oh, is that right?
Christy Lee
Driver's head?
Chick McGee
Is it too loud? Let me roll my window up.
Josh Arnold
Okay. Whoa.
Chick McGee
Oh, sorry about that. I'm the perfect driver's ed teacher.
Josh Arnold
Really?
Chick McGee
Really. I'm taking quarter defensive driving class over 22 times.
Christy Lee
Wow.
Chick McGee
It's first day of driver's ed. We just went through the White Castle Drive through. We're tooled around in my 89 ash brown Ford Probe.
Tom Griswold
Lovely.
Chick McGee
Hold on. Does the open container only. Only? It's only for the driver, not the passenger. Don't worry.
Josh Arnold
Okay, thank you.
Chick McGee
Hold on. Bob and Thomas. Yeah, holding on.
Ace Cosby
Now what?
Chick McGee
You're gonna want to do Gianna. You're gonna want it. Wait, it's Gina. Well, that makes more sense. Yeah, I thought that was pretty cruel of your parents. Well, the reason they're honking is because you're doing 12 and they're doing 70. Oh, yeah, they're mad. Hold on a second. I got. Roll down my window again. Bob and Tom. Hey, she's a. She's a girl. She's doing the best she can.
Tom Griswold
Wait a minute.
Chick McGee
Give her a break. Now, now, Gina, you're going to want to speed up a little bit more now. Speed up a little bit. Nope, that's a little too fast. You're good. That's a.
Josh Arnold
Oh, no.
Ace Cosby
Ed.
Chick McGee
Oh. Oh, my gosh. There's crepe case everywhere.
Josh Arnold
Okay, thanks. I'm sorry. You had a letter over there. I'm sorry.
Chick McGee
Dear Bob and Tom. You were talking about Tom's nickname for his penis. It was Texas. Do you remember this?
Tom Griswold
No. Yes.
Josh Arnold
I did not bring. I have nothing to do with this at all.
Chick McGee
And he contends that he doesn't remember who, but he's sure someone gave you that.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I remember exactly. I'm not discussing it.
Chick McGee
You remember who did it, but you're not gonna discuss. Yes, Well, a letter writer has. Brian has a theory. Do you think it might have been Paula that named Tom's penis? Text when he was getting too big to give him a shower? Oh, my good. You're so big.
Josh Arnold
I don't think Paula would be aware of slogan. Everything's bigger in Texas. She was from Stuttgart.
Chick McGee
And that was your. Your upstairs maid or my heaving bosom.
Josh Arnold
I wish I could dig up a picture of Paula. You'd be.
Christy Lee
Didn't you say she was quite. Quite chesty?
Josh Arnold
Yes, but a large woman, a. A big gal.
Chick McGee
Looked like Raymond Burr without the beard.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Did you have a mustache?
Josh Arnold
No, she did not.
Ace Cosby
Okay.
Chick McGee
And wasn't it true that at some point you thought she was a spy for the German government?
Josh Arnold
Absolutely. She would be on the phone with.
Chick McGee
Her sister Helga speaking the German.
Josh Arnold
And, you know, I'm. I'm five years old and I'm. I've been watching all these war movies, and I thought she was plotting. I mean, because the German language is. It's so sort of guttural and unappealing and scary. Yeah, when you're a little kid.
Chick McGee
I don't know what you mean. You know the German word for butterfly? Schmetter.
Josh Arnold
Link. Yeah, there you go.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I'm totally serious. I thought Paula was a spy. I Wasn't quite clear on the fact that the war was over. I've. I've reformed. I'm a big fan of German automobiles and other delights.
Chick McGee
Good movie out there called Eye of the Needle about a spy with Donald Sutherland. It's quite old. Go ahead. 70s. I think we have news from the world of cricket.
Tom Griswold
Cricket.
Chick McGee
Cricket's governing body will once again allow cricket bowlers to shine cricket balls with saliva.
Christy Lee
Oh, I see.
Josh Arnold
Ever shine any balls with saliva?
Chick McGee
I have. Not the bus station. I'm trying to think if I've ever had my balls shined by saliva. I don't think I. Oh, my God.
Tom Griswold
Wait.
I
It's.
Christy Lee
It's fantastic.
Chick McGee
I remember it is pretty good.
Christy Lee
I remember it's a necessity.
Chick McGee
At one point is this. This was sad. At one point you pee out of that.
Christy Lee
Oh, geez.
Chick McGee
Yeah, you don't want. You don't want anything.
Josh Arnold
But I would just leave this right there before we expand to other.
Chick McGee
Yeah, well, luckily it was illegal entanglement, so I could get out.
Christy Lee
You poop out of what? I just messed around.
Tom Griswold
Now, John.
Chick McGee
There you go, Tom. How about that?
Josh Arnold
That's exactly what I was trying to avoid.
Chick McGee
Anyway. According to the BBC, saliva and sweat are used to polish one side of the ball in order to make it swing in the air.
Josh Arnold
So this is the equivalent of a spitball.
Chick McGee
And however, a temporary saliva band was introduced in May of 2020 during. Oh, the pandemic.
Christy Lee
Oh, I see.
Chick McGee
With use of sweat still permitted the icc. Oh, that's very clear to them. I see. International Cricket Council made the band permanent in September 22, but decided to reverse it this week for the upcoming Indian Premier League, which is a big damn deal.
Christy Lee
Huge, I would imagine.
Josh Arnold
Millions of fans. So it is now permissible to spit right on your balls.
Christy Lee
Cricket ball.
Tom Griswold
Cricket balls.
Christy Lee
Oh, here comes little cricket balls.
Josh Arnold
Does that sound like a. Does that sound like one of those fraternity pledge nights?
Jess Hooker
Is a cricket ball as big as like a softball, would you say?
Chick McGee
No.
Jess Hooker
How big is it?
Chick McGee
It's a little bigger than a baseball. But it's wood. Right. I'm under the impression it's like solid wood or something.
Josh Arnold
I don't know.
Christy Lee
They seem like those yard bowling kind of.
Chick McGee
Yeah, like hickory or something.
Christy Lee
And small. Yeah, they do seem solid.
Josh Arnold
It but. And they. Can't the games last forever? Essentially.
Chick McGee
I don't. You could fill warehouses with what I don't know about cricket.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, Very popular. Anyways.
Chick McGee
Oh, real quick.
Josh Arnold
Permission to spit on my balls. Go ahead.
Chick McGee
A song from Vaughn Monroe.
Ace Cosby
There's nothing to.
Chick McGee
You. I'm.
Christy Lee
I'm sewing my skin suit.
Chick McGee
It puts the lotion on or it gets the ho.
Christy Lee
Mother never hugged me.
Josh Arnold
Thank you. And you're playing that again because.
Chick McGee
Was she a great big fat person?
Josh Arnold
In honor of. In honor of Lindsay.
Chick McGee
Lindsay Von. Von.
Christy Lee
What is she about a size 14?
Chick McGee
Loose skin. Skin. I'm making a skin.
Josh Arnold
Does the in. Do you know, in cricket, does the. Does the pitcher spit on the balls?
Chick McGee
The bowler. I think the ball spit on the ball. I don't know, Tom. Honestly. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Whoever's heaving it would.
Chick McGee
That's. I would think.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
They don't have a guy.
Jess Hooker
No.
Josh Arnold
On the sidelines.
Tom Griswold
No. They don't have a Fluffy like the way they.
Josh Arnold
I mean they have. They have people that's.
Chick McGee
Well, no. If you can. If you ask the batter. This is one thing I do know about cricket as the batter. If you can spit on the ball as it goes by. Guy.
Josh Arnold
Ah.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Chick McGee
That's known as a cranking.
Christy Lee
Yes. He's awarded one Kranken for.
Chick McGee
That's a.2 points.
Tom Griswold
They're apparently heavier and harder than a.
Josh Arnold
Baseball and the movie Spinal Tap.
Chick McGee
Of course.
Josh Arnold
The one guy carries around a cricket bat all the time. That's based on. That's based on. I think the actual manager of Led Zeppelin did that.
Chick McGee
Right, Peter? Whatever. Houston off.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, of course. Who doesn't know that? That reminds me. If you're watching cricket and you want to make sure that no one's bothering you, you want to have Simplisafe. Tell me more Chick.

Chick McGee
Is that right?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, he's coming in. Comedian, actor, et cetera, et cetera. A guy that kind of revolutionized comedy. I think the guys from Jackass owe him a couple royalty checks. That's all coming up. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.
Chick McGee
You don't wake up dreaming of McDonald's fries. You wake up dreaming of McDonald's hash browns. McDonald's breakfast comes first. Hello, good morning. Welcome back to the Bob and Tom show in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Josh Arnold, Pat Godwin, Christy Lee, Jess Hooker, we're all here. Hello, Tom. This has been Chick McGee. Speak.
Josh Arnold
Hello, Chick. We. Coming up, comedian Tom Green will be joining us. We have Chick Magee at the, @the orangeinsouls.com sports desk. I will remind you if you're interested in. If you're interested in winning a 4K Smart TV courtesy of Orange and souls.com, go to bob and tom.com contest. What have you got over there?
Chick McGee
What do I got over here? Stupid. World record. A group of Georgia men, America, not Russia, Georgia, okay. Have broken the Guinness World Record for playing a continuous basketball game. The game lasted 121 hours and three minutes. The men completed their game at 10am Friday in the gym at Landmark Christian school in Fairbanks. 23 players ranged in age from 17 to 64 were required to remain inside the gym for the duration of the attempt, even while they took breaks.
Josh Arnold
Fun.
Chick McGee
Oh, the final score, 13,096 to 12,976.
Josh Arnold
Damn it, I had the under.
Chick McGee
Never bet an under on a.
Josh Arnold
That was also the. Interesting enough, the, the score of the last NBA All Star Game game.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Not a lot of D. You see.
Chick McGee
No D at the South Star Game.
Josh Arnold
It's a long game. You see, camped out on the sideline. Doesn't see how big the teams were. Doesn't.
Chick McGee
Well, that's five. You can do the math.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, 23 players. So.
Josh Arnold
Okay, so the, so the guys are sleeping while their guys are. Yeah, sleeping right there courtside. That'd be fun.
Chick McGee
Theoretically, they can have four, four teams of five each with three, three fill ins or whenever.
Josh Arnold
Sounds like fun. And just in time to celebrate basketball with NCAA men's college basketball. And there are no, no brackets that have been.
Chick McGee
No brackets are perfect. Maybe some private brackets any longer, you think? Oh, maybe. So who's to say you're right. Who do we got here? Thursday, Duke in Arizona, byu.
Christy Lee
I'm sorry, who in Arizona?
Chick McGee
Duke.
Pat Godwin
Fancy this?
Chick McGee
Thank you, Josh. Is that my horsey?
Christy Lee
No.
Chick McGee
Thank you.
Josh Arnold
Oh.
Chick McGee
BYU in Alabama. Also on Thursday, Florida and Maryland, Texas Tech and Arkansas. Then Friday, Auburn and Michigan, Ole Miss and Michigan State. And then also on Friday, Houston and Purdue and Kentucky and Tennessee.
Jess Hooker
Tom has three teams still in?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, of course he does.
Josh Arnold
In the office pool, I have good three.
Chick McGee
What do we got?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, they're all, like, one seeds and.
Josh Arnold
Auburn, Maryland and Tennessee.
Chick McGee
The south regionals in Atlanta, the East regionals in Newark, New Jersey. The west regional is in San Francisco and the Midwest regionals in Indianapolis.
Christy Lee
It makes sense. Tom has three teams. We've always known he has strong seeds.
Josh Arnold
That's very good.
Chick McGee
Very good.
Josh Arnold
Thank you, Josh. Potent that text can deliver.
Chick McGee
That was a joke from Josh. Was.
Pat Godwin
Was that from a gal back in college?
Tom Griswold
Would you stop with this?
Pat Godwin
I want to know.
Tom Griswold
He's not gonna tell you.
Chick McGee
No, he's not.
Christy Lee
I don't think mine's ever been nicknamed.
Tom Griswold
Really?
Christy Lee
Yeah. Any other guys have a. I can't.
Chick McGee
Remember in all serious.
Josh Arnold
Would you like us to give it one? We could have a little competition. Would we have to see it?
Chick McGee
I've got one.
Christy Lee
Don't say little competition. Competition.
Chick McGee
How about this? The cranker. How about that?
Christy Lee
Here comes the cranker.
Josh Arnold
Here's the cranker, Pat.
Chick McGee
No.
Pat Godwin
Back in college, a gal had a name. Tommy's Male Sex. She said it stretched from Houston to El Paso. And she called us Penis Tex. As big as Texas, said one of his exes. She called his penis Text.
Ace Cosby
Isn't that beautiful?
Pat Godwin
I showed it to you. I just whipped that up.
Chick McGee
For you.
Josh Arnold
Now, let me ask the ladies, have you ever encountered a gentleman that either provided it with a nickname or you felt compelled to give it a little nickname or a big nickname? This can be a yes or no. You don't have to do a follow.
Tom Griswold
We all know that this is a yes for me, and I don't really go back to that.
Jess Hooker
There was a guy in college that kind of got around our house, slept with a couple of my roommates, and the girl said that it looked so dignified that they named it Fitzgerald.
Chick McGee
Dignified?
Jess Hooker
It was dignified.
Tom Griswold
It looked.
Chick McGee
Looked.
Jess Hooker
They said it was like. It looked mature and dignified, like it wasn't just a penis. It was like it was a. It was like it had an entity.
Josh Arnold
Did it have, like, gray around the temples?
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Jess Hooker
I don't know.
Christy Lee
Did it wear a Monocle?
Jess Hooker
Yeah, Like, I was like, I don't.
Josh Arnold
Know, tortoise shell, glasses and a tweed. A little tweed elbow patch halfway up.
Chick McGee
Why isn't there more of that? Why don't.
Tom Griswold
What do you mean?
Chick McGee
Guys dress up their penis like that with little, you know, like. Like Barbie doll or. Ken.
Tom Griswold
What?
Chick McGee
Because typically that is put a little, you know, Ken clothes on it.
Tom Griswold
Like, you could start like a cardigan company.
Chick McGee
This is this nice cardigan. Take pictures of it.
Josh Arnold
This is no time for levity, you know?
Chick McGee
And the best part would be that you don't really know it's a penis dressed up until you get really close.
Christy Lee
Yeah. You have to really look.
Chick McGee
You got to really look. Oh, my God. That's a penis under that hat. You know, stuff like that. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Who was that masked man? It was a penis. I'm dressing mine up.
Chick McGee
You think it'd be fun? Yeah. Let's dress them up later and send pictures to each other. All right, all right.
Jess Hooker
I want to see one in a top hat.
Chick McGee
There you go. See?
Tom Griswold
Where are you going to get a little baby top hat?
Chick McGee
I bet Ken comes with a little baby. I know, that's the thing.
Christy Lee
We're going to have to buy Ken. Ken clothing or.
Chick McGee
Or G.I. joe can put a little army.
Josh Arnold
I imagine this has been done. I imagine that there, you think, oh, by somebody.
Christy Lee
Sure. But I don't know if there's like a calendar out there, you know, like.
Chick McGee
They do have a calendar where the cats dress up as famous movies.
Josh Arnold
That shows dogs or that show still in Vegas where the two palm tree of the penis.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, the penis players.
Christy Lee
I don't think they dressed them up.
Chick McGee
No, they just stretched them out. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
Oh, no, I'm gonna need to, like. I want like a red curtain and I want to see those things.
Christy Lee
Well, they have kids for finger puppets. Yeah, well, that's. I'm Abe Lincoln.
Josh Arnold
I would hope you. I would hope you'd need something more than that. Need the one for the thumb at least.
Chick McGee
Oh, here you go.
Christy Lee
Well. Oh, look at that.
Chick McGee
This is like the Hemingway.
Christy Lee
A Hemingway finger puppet. And there's a sweater on it. You can maybe remove the sweater and just.
I
Yeah.
Christy Lee
You know.
Chick McGee
Well, or. Or keep the sweater.
Christy Lee
Just crank it down around your wire there.
Chick McGee
Put a face on top.
Josh Arnold
If you're just joining us. If you're just joining us, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. We are coming to you from the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios. Chick boogie is at the Orange Insoles sports desk.
Tom Griswold
I think that your idea has already.
Christy Lee
Been taken I'm assuming you have a dressed up penis.
Josh Arnold
Over.
Tom Griswold
Yes, it's a cucumber. It's a cucumber.
Chick McGee
But they use a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, right?
Tom Griswold
Yes, it does. That's one of the costumes that you can get.
Chick McGee
Is that right?
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
These are costumes.
Tom Griswold
You get Superman. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Now imagine you can't get like a pirate.
Josh Arnold
Careful, Josh.
Christy Lee
I like the. I don't know what, the Bandito or whatever, because he has a mustache.
Chick McGee
Oh, that's nice.
Tom Griswold
There's a Ready Whip container, I guess, if you.
Jess Hooker
Oh, okay.
Chick McGee
Oh, that's.
Christy Lee
I see. So then when you.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I got it.
Chick McGee
Okay. Oh, yeah.
Josh Arnold
All right, let's move on. Is that sports?
Christy Lee
Tom's getting too turned on.
Chick McGee
Unless you want to hear some more.
Christy Lee
There's no way Tom wants to hear more.
Jess Hooker
You gotta stop.
Pat Godwin
He's not happy with that.
Josh Arnold
I'm gonna explain how radio works next break for you guys.
Christy Lee
You mean YouTube?
Josh Arnold
No, no. Christy Lee is across the way. You can see her over there at the Silac Insurance news desk.
Tom Griswold
A new gelato debuted in Rome to celebrate Pope Francis's release from the hospital.
Chick McGee
Oh, is it a week?
Tom Griswold
The flavors dubbed Hallelujah and being sold in open air kiosks in the Piazza Riso Gimento. It is a combination of roasted hazelnuts and pure chocolate.
Chick McGee
Don't you love it?
Tom Griswold
Sounds wonderful.
Chick McGee
Speaks Italian.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I don't know what it is. It was a. It was a master gelato maker. Vincenzo. Okay. S, Q, U, A, T, R, I.
Christy Lee
T, O. I believe that's vagina.
Tom Griswold
Squattorato.
Josh Arnold
Squattrito.
Tom Griswold
Winning entry in a European gelato contest. Its name was conceived to celebrate the Catholic Church's holy jubilee year. Hallelujah quickly became a way to commemorate the 88 year old Pontiff's district.
Chick McGee
They try to stay away from anything with holy Jew in it. The Catholic Church. Don't you think?
Josh Arnold
What?
Christy Lee
Holy Jubilee. Jubilee is what he said there. It wasn't.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, Holy.
Christy Lee
It's ju.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
I'm sorry, I've lost track. What is it actually called now?
Tom Griswold
Hallelujah.
Josh Arnold
Oh, okay.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Josh Arnold
I love gelato.
Tom Griswold
Who doesn't?
Christy Lee
I'd rather have ice cream.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, me too.
Chick McGee
Me three.
Christy Lee
You can keep your gelato. In fact, I'd rather have ice cream and then pudding and then I think gelato is like six way down the road.
Josh Arnold
Really?
Chick McGee
I'd rather have a cookie.
Christy Lee
I'd rather have a sherbet or sorbet.
Josh Arnold
Okay. Yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
Stuff your gelato in a sack.
Tom Griswold
In case you didn't hear the Pope was released from the hospital after.
Josh Arnold
That's why they're celebrating. And that's why I just think we're lucky Ben and Jerry's didn't name it because it would have had something cutesy like snap, crackle Pope. Something along those lines.
Chick McGee
I like that very much.
Josh Arnold
Do they Snap, crackle Po. What is the. And sometimes you go to a baseball game and they'll serve the ice cream at a helmet.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah. Baddie mini batting.
Tom Griswold
Here we go.
Josh Arnold
Well, think about it. How would you like one of those?
Tom Griswold
You could get a miter.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. High pope hats. A miter hat.
Chick McGee
I'd hold like a gallon.
Josh Arnold
I was gonna. That'd be great. You flip it over. I've got two gallons of. Of. Of this delicious hallelujah ice cream.
Jess Hooker
The show was approached about an ice cream flavor if we had our own.
Chick McGee
Oh, no kidding. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
I don't mean to workshop it on the air, but if we had a flavor, what would be in it?
Chick McGee
Like a bunch of nuts, right?
Jess Hooker
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Mixed nuts.
Jess Hooker
That would be maybe a coffee flavor.
Chick McGee
No. Chocolate. Peanut butter. Better.
Josh Arnold
Caramel.
Jess Hooker
Not the chick flavor. Not the chick flavor.
Josh Arnold
We'd have to give it a clever name.
Chick McGee
Biscott.
Josh Arnold
Yes. This is going to take some thought. We'll have to workshop this off the air.
Chick McGee
Isn't that nice?
Josh Arnold
I'm the only one that likes gelato.
Tom Griswold
I like gelato.
Christy Lee
It's fine. It's fine. Yeah, yeah.
Jess Hooker
If I was in Italy, I'd get some.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah.
Christy Lee
Right, right.
Chick McGee
When in Rome.
Josh Arnold
There'S a religiosity, I guess, a religious aspect, if you will, to it.
Tom Griswold
What do you mean?
Josh Arnold
Every time I eat ice cream or gelato, I thank the Lord.
Chick McGee
This is.
Josh Arnold
This is a reason for living.
Tom Griswold
Oh, it's the last time you had ice cream.
Christy Lee
I would think that'd be a weekly treat for you.
Josh Arnold
Let's see. Last week, because the birthday party had it with my chocolate cake. Oh, very nice.
Chick McGee
You go to McDonald's a lot? Don't get the cone. Don't you?
Josh Arnold
I love those McDonald's cones. Yeah, they're very good.
Pat Godwin
You don't have them anymore, though, because you're right thin now.
Josh Arnold
No. You could have a McDonald's cones. Not a lot of calories.
Tom Griswold
200 calories. They're not bad.
Josh Arnold
They're very. Yeah. That's one of the few things I'll do at McDonald's other than the fish sandwich and the French fries.
Christy Lee
Treat yourself.
Josh Arnold
And the iced tea, which is also excellent.
Christy Lee
It is. McDonald's has great tea.
Josh Arnold
They have terrific tea There's a restaurant I go to all the time which just changed hands. I'm hoping the new owners get rid of the crappy iced tea. They have. Have got a decent tea.
Jess Hooker
But I'm sure you've told him about it.
Josh Arnold
Oh, every time. I get it.
Chick McGee
Didn't you put. Almost put Cheesecake factory out of business because you're. You're squabble about their iced tea?
Josh Arnold
It's flavored and I'm not big on large federal government, but I do think that flavored tea should be illegal.
Chick McGee
Yeah, it was raspberry.
Josh Arnold
No, they would go, oh, I'd like the iced tea, please. Oh, it's a raspberry today. I just want the plain tea. We don't have plain tea. They do now.
Chick McGee
They do.
Josh Arnold
They wisely up.
Christy Lee
I think I like my hot tea to have flavor sometimes. Yeah, yeah, there's some good ones out there.
Jess Hooker
Lemon, ginger, orange.
Tom Griswold
I love a mango tea.
Christy Lee
Yeah, that can be real good, but.
Tom Griswold
Oh, even ice cold iced mango tea.
Christy Lee
All right, all right.
Josh Arnold
Don't. Don't force this down my throat.
Pat Godwin
I want late night decaf. Yeah, a little cinnamon.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, there you go.
Christy Lee
Oh, sure. Peppermint. Really settle the tummy.
Josh Arnold
Well, then you. Then you girls can. You girls can all get in your jam and gossip.
Christy Lee
I am an old lady when it comes to hot tea at night.
Tom Griswold
I do too. We had it last night.
Christy Lee
I'm going to have my sleepy time.
Jess Hooker
Vanilla sleepy time tea.
Chick McGee
I see you in one of those Emma Mills long flowing grandma gowns, long sleeve with a little bow under the neck, and you're having your tea this weekend.
Christy Lee
I had a blanket on my lap, a hot tea, the fireplace and a book. I was a widow.
Chick McGee
Nice.
Christy Lee
I kind of lived a life of a widow.
Jess Hooker
That sounds wonderful.
Chick McGee
Who lives there? Oh, widow Arnold. That's her.
Pat Godwin
A blanket on your lap.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah.
Tom Griswold
I was really wrong with that.
Christy Lee
Really fdring it up.
Chick McGee
I've got like nine blankets grab at a moment's notice. Wow. Absolutely.
Josh Arnold
What was the. What was the book you were reading?
Christy Lee
Oh, man, it's later.
Chick McGee
Chatterley's Leva.
Christy Lee
No, no, this was a nice nin. It's. This is a deep nerd. It's called how to write a sentence and it's very.
Chick McGee
Is that right?
Christy Lee
Very academic.
Josh Arnold
So that doesn't have sentences like take off your clothes, toots. Period.
Chick McGee
Toots.
Josh Arnold
Toots.
Christy Lee
Not really. There is a chapter on satire.
Pat Godwin
Is there a follow up, how to write a paragraph?
Christy Lee
No, but I hope so at some point.
Chick McGee
Tom, do me a favor. Later, when you go home, just start dropping Toots around for your significant other. Could you do that?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, great idea.
Chick McGee
Hey, Toots. Why not? That'd be fun.
Pat Godwin
She's kind of cues.
Chick McGee
She might laugh. She knows you're teasing.
Pat Godwin
She knows you're a jokester.
Chick McGee
Toots, you want to.
Josh Arnold
Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
Hey, Toots, you want to make out?
Josh Arnold
I make her laugh all the time.
Tom Griswold
Does she make you laugh?
Chick McGee
That's the most chilling words ever spoken by a female to me. Me. You're just not funny anymore. Oh, yeah, that happened.
Josh Arnold
Then you put away the little puppet thing.
Pat Godwin
I guess I'll put this away.
Josh Arnold
Justin, Christie said this was gonna make you laugh.
Jeff Oskay
No more.
Chick McGee
I was hat for me, I would laugh.
Pat Godwin
Hey, Tootsie Text.
Christy Lee
Yeah, let's get Toots and Text together, huh?
Josh Arnold
I got a little cowboy hat for him.
Chick McGee
What do you say, Toots?
Tom Griswold
She wouldn't laugh at that. She'd laugh at Toots. There.
Jess Hooker
Yes.
Chick McGee
No, does Johnny or Timmy or.
Tom Griswold
What's Andy.
Chick McGee
Andy. Does he have a nickname for you? No, not Toots or Baby.
Pat Godwin
Pumpkin? Nothing.
Tom Griswold
I don't think so.
Chick McGee
Lava.
Tom Griswold
No.
Josh Arnold
Nothing. He calls you by your name.
Chick McGee
Echo.
Josh Arnold
You see, I have a real quick question. This is off. You don't have to answer yes or no. Does he call you by the name we call you? Or he does The Rambler.
Chick McGee
How about the Rambler now?
Josh Arnold
Trickster. In your experience.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Josh Arnold
In your experience.
Chick McGee
Depending on how I know them, they call me a different name. Okay, well, actually, there's only one person left that calls me Chuck, actually.
Christy Lee
Oh, okay.
Chick McGee
And that's the mom of. Mom of the kids.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Chick McGee
All right.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Chick McGee
But she knows I don't like it, so she kind of does.
Josh Arnold
What about your high school? What about your high school buddy that owns the sporting goods?
Chick McGee
Yeah, well, he. He's. He calls me Chick, but he kind of snarky about it, so.
Josh Arnold
Oh. Oh, hey, Chick.
Chick McGee
I call him Dirk. His name's David, so I call him Dirt. Okay, about that.
Josh Arnold
Okay, good.
Chick McGee
I thought that was going to be funnier.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Like Dirk Diggler. Okay, thank you very much.
Chick McGee
What about you? Is anybody call you Butch other than your big sister?
Josh Arnold
No, no, no.
Chick McGee
Can I start calling you. But we still start calling, implying that we're family. Family. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Nope.
Pat Godwin
Butcher Mic is off.
Josh Arnold
Butch.
Chick McGee
It's Butch and Toots, honey. They're coming over.
Christy Lee
As long as he doesn't whip Text out again.
Josh Arnold
Oh, boy.
Tom Griswold
So do you have a nickname for your sweetie?
Christy Lee
I've heard you refer to her as bae.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I've heard you say Sweetie, you.
Chick McGee
Lay the, you like the baby on her, huh?
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Hey, then I call the girls. I never call them by their actual name.
Chick McGee
No, it's, I never have. I know the older kids you called Rabbit Bo and all sorts of things. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Excellent. Ciso and Cispo Jr. Like sounds like.
Christy Lee
A book that's no longer taught.
Tom Griswold
Exactly.
Chick McGee
Or a restaurant close Restaurant called Cisos, I think. Is that right?
Pat Godwin
Some issues.
Josh Arnold
It was close.
Chick McGee
Can't you open your mouth without us getting in trouble? Come on, man.
Josh Arnold
So sorry. Where was I? Oh, I know. I want to mention real quick, this show will come to you from greater Cincinnati across the river at Smoke justice coming up on on Thursday.
Chick McGee
And we've got that email about Cincinnati and we're invited brought to you by.
Josh Arnold

Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. There's Josh Arnold, Pat Godwin, Christy Lee. Jess Hooker's here. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick McGee and. Hello, Tom.
Josh Arnold
Hello. Chick Magee at the orangeinsoles.com sports desk. I mentioned this because orange insoles has stepped up. Sure, you're depressed because your bracket is busted, but they all are. How about winning a new 4K smart TV? What's a 4K TV, Chick?
Chick McGee
It's one better than a 3K. It's. It's the. It's amazing. Quality is what.
Christy Lee
Really, really great picture.
Chick McGee
Yes. 4K is the highest right now. You can go.
Josh Arnold
You could win one and then we.
Chick McGee
I think any higher and it burns through your head when you watch.
Josh Arnold
Well, that actually leads to one of our news stories.
Chick McGee
Oh yeah. Well, my psychic comedy continues.
Josh Arnold
You see the story about the plutonium. This is. I got this just for Chick. I think he'll like this very much.
Tom Griswold
Sydney Science nerd may face jail for importing plutonium. He's described as a young Australian science nerd. Apparently in an effort to collect all the elements of the periodic table, Mr. Emmanuel Lidden ordered the samples of plutonium him to his parents apartment breaching the country's nuclear non proliferation laws. The importation sparked a major hazmat alert in court. Mr. Linden's lawyer described the 24 year old as an innocent collector and science nerd who committed the offense out of pure naivety. Naivety?
Christy Lee
Naivete.
Chick McGee
Naivete I think the French call it.
Tom Griswold
I don't know what prosecutor said describing the young man as a simple collector and science nerd was mischaracterization. And he now faces a possible 10 years in prison.
Christy Lee
Wow.
Josh Arnold
I don't know much about history.
Chick McGee
I don't know much.
Josh Arnold
Thank you.
Chick McGee
But you know what, Tom? I know. I love you.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I. Isn't a lot of that stuff when you get up there kind of dangerous on the.
Tom Griswold
Well, I don't know. Do you think he had a big chart on the wall and he had a little sample?
Josh Arnold
I mean, I think so would I.
Chick McGee
Have a friend who handles nuclear material for the medical field and it's very lucrative and you have to be very careful. Your friend Lefty and you have.
Josh Arnold
Can you just.
Chick McGee
Not funny. He lost one eye during the whole thing. His name is Glowy, but he's perfect for the job. He's very meticulous, and I would think so. Incredibly focused.
Josh Arnold
Order plutonium on Amazon.
Chick McGee
That's the thing.
Christy Lee
If there's such strict laws, why was he able to get it in the first place?
Josh Arnold
You have to know a guy. Listen, I can get you some really good reefer and would you like some plutonium?
Chick McGee
I can't sell you reefer legally, but I can sell you plutonium and I'll put reefer inside. How's that?
Josh Arnold
Is plutonium the only element named after a Disney character? Kind of sweet.
Tom Griswold
Is a tiny little. I mean, I can't imagine he got much plutonium.
Josh Arnold
I don't know anything about. I know there was.
Chick McGee
What about Goofy?
Josh Arnold
I know that there used a plutonium nuclear power plant in this country. I don't think there is any more.
Chick McGee
Well, you got your plutonium, then you get your uranium. Okay, don't get. Don't get those two together. They do not like each other, okay?
Josh Arnold
I mean, it's great.
Chick McGee
They both have their negative qualities.
Josh Arnold
They say, this guy. This kid's facing 10 years in prison.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I don't think that'll happen.
Chick McGee
Well, I think they caught on. He was acting like he didn't know what he was doing, but I.
Tom Griswold
You think he knew what he was doing?
Christy Lee
I don't know. Again, how do you get pluto? So can you? Really naive. Yeah. He was so naive, he was able to make it onto the Dark Web and talk to an Iranian terrorist?
Tom Griswold
Well, if there's that. Yeah, yeah.
Chick McGee
Shipped it in a lead line FedEx envelope to Australia.
Josh Arnold
Yes. Here in the States, our science nerds, they devote themselves to things like meth lab. Well.
Tom Griswold
And if you're a science nerd, you know how dangerous plutonium is?
Josh Arnold
I don't know. I don't. I honestly don't. But do you think because of Breaking Bad, there are guys that started off going, hey, wait a minute, deal?
Chick McGee
I don't know. I think anything's possible. I don't. I don't know why not. But the. The stuff they did on Breaking Bad, they. Vince Gilligan was interviewed, and he said, we were very careful not to give. Not to give the entire formula away. So there are some big holes, but, I mean, it's. It's good.
Christy Lee
I would imagine it's also made up. The stuff that Walter White was able to do isn't.
Chick McGee
Yeah. I don't think there's such a thing as methylamine. I don't think that exists.
Josh Arnold
I would venture to say you could probably go on the Internet in five minutes and get everything you need.
Christy Lee
Sure. But that they made up.
Chick McGee
I don't know. I don't know.
Josh Arnold
I mean, in terms of instructions how to.
Chick McGee
Oh.
Tom Griswold
When you go to sell your house now, in the seller's disclosure, you have to disclose whether meth was made on your property or not.
Josh Arnold
On all three floors.
Ace Cosby
What?
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Jess Hooker
Oh, my gosh.
Tom Griswold
You sure do.
Chick McGee
So. No. But if it's upstairs that.
Tom Griswold
How many people check that box. Yes. I mean, come on.
Christy Lee
That's the home improvement show I want to see tonight on Flipping Trap Houses.
Chick McGee
We're. We're turning this former meth lab.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Sl.
Christy Lee
Brothel into a rumpus room for the kids.
Josh Arnold
That's fascinating.
Tom Griswold
That's a true story. I just had to do good Bones.
Christy Lee
Literally. There's a corpse.
Josh Arnold
I do know that. I do know that. The home insurers are using drones and flying over houses to check your roof and to see if you have a trampoline or a pool or. Or a bear for a pet.
Tom Griswold
You know, stuff like that.
Josh Arnold
Stuff like that. Yeah. With. Did your home insurance because you just got a new house. Didn't they ask you what kind of dog you have?
Tom Griswold
No.
Josh Arnold
Oh, really? Yeah, they asked me what. What breed of dogs do you have?
Chick McGee
Well, they probably gotta look at you.
Josh Arnold
No, that's you. If you put the wrong answer, I assume you're not gonna get insured or.
Tom Griswold
It'S gonna cost you more.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Okay. Well, plutonium in the news. Thank you very much. I'm a big fan.
Tom Griswold
We have an update coming up about the guy who swallowed the earrings. Remember the Tiffany earrings worth about $700,000?
Christy Lee
They got pulled over. He said, I'm gonna eat these.
Chick McGee
Did they pass?
Tom Griswold
We'll find out.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Chick McGee
Came out in the poop.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Chick McGee
Came out in his poopy.
Josh Arnold
Of course. Of course it did. Also coming up, comedian Tom Green will be joining us in the studio. And we are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.

Show coming up just around the corner.
Chick McGee
Welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. From the Silac Insurance news desk, it's Christy Lee.
Tom Griswold
Hello, Chick.
Chick McGee
Hi. There's Pat Godwin.
Pat Godwin
Hey, Chick.
Chick McGee
In his swell shirt. We need a picture of that for the Internet.
Pat Godwin
I like this shirt, people mean.
Chick McGee
There's Jess Hooker offering some fashion advice. There's Josh Arnold. Hello, I'm Chick McGee at the orangeinsoul.com sports desk. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios and. Hello, Tom.
Josh Arnold
Well, thank you very much, Chick McGee. I understand we have something coming in via satellite.
Chick McGee
Is that right?
Josh Arnold
There we go. It's Jeff Oskay with a special edition of news we failed to mention.
I
Wow, listen to the enthusiasm in there. You guys are super excited.
Christy Lee
And Jeff, we just found out about it.
I
Well, Friday Joe was going doing so well, I didn't want to gum it up with what I do. So we give you a lot of the news each week. We don't give you all the news. So I'm here to give you the news that we failed to mention last week.
Chick McGee
Here's Jeff Oskay with failed to mention.
I
Oh, that seemed loud.
Chick McGee
Nailed it. Yeah, I'm killing it on the audio.
I
The teen dramedy Sex Lives of college girls on HBO is being canceled after three seasons. What you failed to mention. Be sure to catch the sequel coming out this fall. Knocked up and dropped out. We learned about a diddle and competition from 1977. Can we get a little audio on that channel?
Chick McGee
Absolutely.
I
That's enough. What you failed to mention. If we learned anything from that horrible obnoxious sound. A little diddle do you. And my question, how are you gonna have a diddling competition with no women?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, right.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I think your brill cream joke did not get the applause it deserved.
I
No, it got exactly.
Chick McGee
Shut up.
I
A coffee was removed from shelves after it was discovered it contained ED medication. Well, you failed to mention, John, based just on your boner. I gotta say, you really, really like.
Chick McGee
Coffee.
I
Just based on your boner?
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
I
A woman said she has orgasms while working out at the gym. What you failed to mention. I had one. Just picturing that. Didn't even have to leave my couch. The largest wiener dog parade was held last week that contained over over 897 wiener dogs. What you failed to mention. Largest parade of wieners is held in Brazil's Pride Parade every June with 3 to 4 million attendees. A mountain was granted personhood by the courts what you failed to mention. Oh, that's a slippery slope. It starts with mountains. Next thing you know, molehills. Poland is hoping the next James Bond is Polish. What you fail to mention goes by double. Oh, no. And finally, a woman was arrested for practicing dentistry out of her home for the past eight years without ever attending dental school or becoming licensed. She was only discovered after three of her patients complained to the medical board about continued pain and infection. Well, you failed to mention if the waiting room is their family room, you may have a fake dentist. If they hand you a can of Blue Raspberry Galaxy Gas and tells you to take a few hits before they remove your tooth, you may have a fake dentist. If at any time your dentist has to stop your procedure because their timer went off and they have to take their meatloaf out of the oven, you.
Chick McGee
May have a fake dentist. I'm Jeff.
Christy Lee
Oscar.
I
And this was the news that we failed to mention last week.
Tom Griswold
Thank you very much.
Josh Arnold
I still say if she only had three complaints in eight years, that's pretty good. She must be pretty good.
Chick McGee
It's damn fine.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that's. That's very good.
Chick McGee
Do you girls, amongst yourselves, refer to it as diddling?
Tom Griswold
No.
Jess Hooker
Diddling. Yes, I've heard that.
Tom Griswold
I've heard it, but I don't.
Jess Hooker
I don't say it.
Tom Griswold
I don't really talk to my girlfriends about masturbation.
Chick McGee
It would. No, it would seem like women would talk about that freely among themselves because you guys are so much more emotionally mature than guys. I don't think guys would talk about you.
Jess Hooker
Guys talk about masturbating amongst each other?
Pat Godwin
No.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Yeah.
Christy Lee
Every now and again I'll ask. Hey, have at yourself. Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
You know, Josh, don't know. I specifically said saltines because.
Christy Lee
That's right. Last time it was on a rant and it just didn't work.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
I demand to know where the circle concept came from and the cracker angle. I want to know where it came from. It's just.
Josh Arnold
It's just. It's a classic. It's a. It's a.
Tom Griswold
But it had to have started hazing.
Jess Hooker
It's a hazing ritual. Like, that's what I know it from. Right.
Chick McGee
It looks like icing. Is that why?
Josh Arnold
Did it ever actually happen or.
Tom Griswold
I don't know.
Jess Hooker
Yeah, I don't know if that's true.
Christy Lee
I don't. I don't know if there are any documented cases or not.
Chick McGee
And. And if it's that way, why. Why hasn't toaster strudel been Introduced into the conversation.
Tom Griswold
I thought every guy did that. That was part of growing up. You tasted a circle jerk? Yeah, no, I swear I did. Girl, you taste it? No, I thought a circle jerk was something you guys did camp or something.
Christy Lee
I don't know anybody that's ever taken part.
Chick McGee
No, me either.
Josh Arnold
I'm out. Sorry.
Chick McGee
Yeah, I've never. I don't need that bad thing like that. But you do.
Christy Lee
It is joked about so much that I could see where a girl would go.
Tom Griswold
Especially when no guys in my house. I grew up with only girls.
Chick McGee
Can you imagine talking, huh?
Jess Hooker
I mean, all of you seem really gay. Like the way that guys hang out and the things you guys do and you just want to be around each other.
Chick McGee
How about sucking on those big cigars like we do? Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Nothing wrong with that if that's what you're into.
Josh Arnold
I think. I think the notion of a so called circle jerk is. There's lots of problems.
Chick McGee
No, I don't think so. I think you're there. I mean, you're giving each other encouragement.
Josh Arnold
But is it.
Chick McGee
Come on, baby.
Josh Arnold
Wouldn't it be like the circular firing squad? I mean there's. There's a problem with.
Jess Hooker
Oh yeah.
Josh Arnold
Not to mention.
Chick McGee
And then there's another term, bukkake.
Christy Lee
Would you ever do it just with one other person sitting back to back like you were on guard in Vietnam?
Tom Griswold
No, I think what just that called.
Chick McGee
See a circle for some reason.
Josh Arnold
The back Jack.
Chick McGee
That seems. That seems a lot more safe than just one other guy.
Josh Arnold
There's a very unpleasant scene in. What's that movie with about.
Chick McGee
Oh, I love this.
Josh Arnold
Oh, geez. You know the one about me about Colonel Hogan. Oh, I'm forgetting his name.
Chick McGee
Autofocus.
Josh Arnold
Autofocus, the movie about Bob Crane.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
There's.
Chick McGee
And Will and Defoe. They're sitting on the couch.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Bob Crane, the actor. Bob Crane actually was friends with the head of Sony or something, some huge Japanese company. He had one of the very first home home video cameras in the United States.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
And of course, first thing he did was what he became kind of a. Yeah.
Jess Hooker
First thing he videoed.
Chick McGee
He started cataloging all of his conquests. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
And then showing it to his friends.
Josh Arnold
There's a scene. There's a very, very good movie about that. And there's a scene in which the.
Pat Godwin
Two of them and his friend.
Josh Arnold
Very, very unpleasant. And that. That is. I've never experienced that particular thing.
Chick McGee
They're admiring this one woman that they videotaped. One of them said, wow, this is really turning Me on. That's okay.
Tom Griswold
I'll watch it.
Jess Hooker
I won't watch it.
Chick McGee
And he reaches down and the other guy does too, too.
Josh Arnold
So that's a friend together.
Chick McGee
That is a body.
Christy Lee
That's really amazing.
Chick McGee
You think dogs love each other when they crap beside each other?
Tom Griswold
That's not something you would ever do.
Christy Lee
No way.
Jess Hooker
I love how Christy's really like, you guys are killing this.
Tom Griswold
There's also.
Christy Lee
Yeah, there's a scene in the movie called E2 Mama Tombien. A great movie, but there's a. Where two buddies just decide to do that too. And what are you doing? It doesn't make any sense.
Josh Arnold
Sounds like a restaurant. Restaurant.
Jess Hooker
So is it only a circle if it's. If there's four people. Because there's two, that's just two. Three is a three something because you're.
Christy Lee
Standing like four squares.
Josh Arnold
Again, it doesn't exist in reality.
Chick McGee
It has to be.
Jess Hooker
At least it does exist or we wouldn't.
Chick McGee
It wouldn't.
Jess Hooker
We wouldn't be talking about it. Maybe not amongst you.
Chick McGee
At least five would. If you're going to do a circle, you need a little circle.
Christy Lee
I'm going to say less than 1% of all men have been involved in a mutual masturbation.
Tom Griswold
I would agree with another with a buddy body. Yeah. Let alone a circle.
Chick McGee
They used to sponsor Mutual of Omaha, didn't they? Mutual masturbation.
Christy Lee
But I think there are theories that Stonehenge was invented as the place to do the circle. Each guy would just lean against the stones.
Chick McGee
It's old as time itself.
Josh Arnold
When the sun would rise. Never mind.
Tom Griswold
Coming up, how did this get derailed?
Josh Arnold

Josh Arnold
Hello, Chick McGee.
Chick McGee
Hello, gorgeous.
Josh Arnold
I think it's time to get another song out of Mr. Godwin.
Pat Godwin
I love singing.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Anything you fancy over there.
Pat Godwin
You want to go with a story?
Tom Griswold
Sure.
Josh Arnold
We have a nice.
Chick McGee
I thought there was a story about. Wasn't there a problem out on the highways?
Pat Godwin
Oh, another highway spell.
Chick McGee
Yeah, I think there might have been. Yes.
Tom Griswold
Well, so that.
Chick McGee
Yes, I think so. Right.
Tom Griswold
Did you have that?
Pat Godwin
I can wing something.
Chick McGee
He can wing it.
Tom Griswold
Soda. Soda cans were littered across I 70 in Wayne County Sunday, cans were spilled onto I 70 westbound. Three semis crashed into each other near the mile marker 145.
Christy Lee
Where's Wayne County?
Tom Griswold
I think it's in Indiana. One of the trucks involved appeared to be hauling a trailer full of Canada Dry beverages. They were all over the road.
Ace Cosby
Oh no.
Tom Griswold
Kansas. Oh.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Hey.
Pat Godwin
Listening to Bob and Tom driving down i70. Ace's joke of the day filled my cab with levity. Tom did a Chuck Norris joke. No one care Indiana highway carrying ginger ale. Another truck hits me. I'm guessing his brakes failed. Oh yeah, they're gonna test him. Maybe the guy was high. Yai yai. I spilled my Canada Dry. Now cans are pretty much everywhere. I blew a tire, don't have a spare. There's a whiff of ginger in the air. Marianne was cuter. I declare all I declare here, everybody.
Chick McGee
Mountain Dew.
Pat Godwin
Dude, it was not Mountain Moon. It was not Mountain Dew or you. That's beautiful.
Josh Arnold
Thank you. Thank you.
Chick McGee
Oh, I got. I teared up there.
Josh Arnold
I want to hear the update of the guy that ate the. What was it? $800,000 earrings or something. Something.
Tom Griswold
The man accused of stealing and swallowing two pairs of diamond earrings is finally past the gems. Following his arrest last month, 32 year old Mr. Jathan Gilder was admitted to an Orlando hospital to await the expulsion of the jewelry expulsion. According to the smoking gun, the seven hundred seventy thousand dollar earrings were passed between March 10th and 12th, about two weeks after he swallowed them. He's accused of robbing a Tiffany store in Orlando. So by posing as a representative for an NBA player.
Josh Arnold
So how did they.
Chick McGee
Is that pretty standard? Two weeks? Something like that.
Christy Lee
Maybe for diamonds, not for food.
Josh Arnold
But do they have to. I mean every.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Deficant event if you will. They have to monitor.
Tom Griswold
Well, think of that. Yeah, of course. Yeah.
Chick McGee
They can't let anything slip by.
Tom Griswold
Right.
Christy Lee
Sifted through it.
Chick McGee
You don't want to go down the turlet.
Josh Arnold
What kind of a boy.
Chick McGee
I bet he has one of those prospecting. I think Chris. I think Christie said this last week. He probably has one of those catchers. Yeah. Like cold cola guard. You know Cola guard.
Josh Arnold
Now with cola guard. That's the thing where you do you put something over the seat that.
Tom Griswold
Yes. And then you catch it.
Christy Lee
Catch a fall.
Tom Griswold
You catch it, send it away.
Josh Arnold
You have to. When they were developing that, the first. The first iteration was something like. Well, it sort of looks like a butterfly net. You got a guy hovering and someone. Wait a second. We got to get it Better than that.
Tom Griswold
Yeah. You put it between your toilet.
Josh Arnold
Well, this guy, this. They probably couldn't have even done that just in case. They probably had to just have him go into a bucket.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah. There were chamber pots, I'm sure.
Chick McGee
Oh, sure. Colanders.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Those colanders will never be the same.
Tom Griswold
You would have to watch him, too, because. What if he went to the bathroom on his own?
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
You think it was shackled to the bed? Oh, probably, yeah.
Chick McGee
I mean, you think it's possible for him to slip the diamond passage past them and then re. Swallow it?
Josh Arnold
Oh, would you want to?
Chick McGee
Well, you'd rinse it, of course.
Christy Lee
Sure.
Chick McGee
And you might get a raging case of E. Coli, but.
Christy Lee
Right. You know, we're talking almost 800 grand here.
Chick McGee
That's right, yeah. Oh, you want to buy a house or not?
Josh Arnold
Is it. I wonder what the law is. If it's legal. Legal to have a suspect and can they make him eat xlax and that sort of thing too?
Tom Griswold
I don't know the answer to any of these questions.
Chick McGee
I would imagine it would have to some sort of court order.
Josh Arnold
These were these earrings. Wouldn't they be sharp on the. Wouldn't they have the post?
Tom Griswold
Yeah, they gotta. They have a post on them.
Josh Arnold
And for this thing, just for one shining moment, literally, his colon looked very fancy. Are they still playing One Shining Moment as part of the NCAAs?
Chick McGee
I don't know the answer to that. I can't imagine this.
Tom Griswold
I'm seeing a head. Yes.
Chick McGee
Yes. I don't know how that goes.
Josh Arnold
It's the song. Dave Barrett wrote that. It's. A friend of mine wrote that song years ago and it's. They play it every year.
Chick McGee
Oh, Dave Barrett and the sheriffs. Yeah, those guys.
Josh Arnold
No, no, sorry, never mind.
Chick McGee
Do you remember that when you were a kid? Kids, you bear it. We'll all share it.
Tom Griswold
Remember what?
Josh Arnold
No. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Back to our circle jerk thing.
Christy Lee
Yeah, it sounds. Is that like a fart thing?
Chick McGee
No, it was.
Josh Arnold
I have a question, Josh, for you.
Chick McGee
A boob thing? Primarily Josh.
Josh Arnold
Oh, well, you're Josh. I don't know how this works. When you're invited to a circle jerk, are you allowed a plus one so.
Christy Lee
Long as that person is of a certain. You have to vet them. Yes.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Christy Lee
As long as they're of a certain standard.
Chick McGee
Well, you have to vouch for them.
Pat Godwin
It's a class and they know how to keep their mouth shut.
Josh Arnold
I'm so.
Christy Lee
It's sort of like debutante season. It's. You're gonna have an escort, but they have to be of a certain ilk.
Josh Arnold
Okay, I'm sorry. I regret bringing this up again. Let's. Let's go back over that direction. I see Christy Lee at the SILAC Insurance news desk.
Tom Griswold
An allegedly constipated passenger is suing United Airlines. The plaintiff claims the pilot forcibly removed him from an airplane bathroom room. And the lawsuit? Mr. Isrobo Lieb was traveling from Tulum, Mexico, to Houston when he went to the bathroom in the back of the plane. After about 20 minutes, a flight attendant asked a fellow passenger to check on Mr. Lieb, who explained his gastrointestinal predicament.
Christy Lee
I'm all blocked up.
Tom Griswold
Ten minutes later, the pilot.
Josh Arnold
I mean, he was coming from Mexico.
Tom Griswold
Tulum. Yeah. He'd had the opposite problem.
Josh Arnold
I was going to say this is the first person in the history of international travel to be constipated leaving Mexico.
Chick McGee
Unless he was from Mexico.
Tom Griswold
No, he was not.
Chick McGee
Oh.
Tom Griswold
Ten minutes later, the pilot allegedly yelled at Mr. Lieb to leave the bathroom. The pilot allegedly broke the lock, forced the bathroom door open, pulled Mr. Lieb out with his pants still around his ankles, exposing his genitals to those nearby. Mr. Lieb is suing both United Airlines and the US Department of Homeland Security.
Christy Lee
Yeah, I would, too. I mean, there are other ways to handle that.
Josh Arnold
Shouldn't there be limits to how long you can stay in the bathroom? Maybe you've got a problem, you have an issue. Wouldn't you. Wouldn't you want to be constipated on a plane? I hate going to the toilet on a plane.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I guess.
Josh Arnold
And after. After 30 minutes there, you're gonna. You're gonna blow out your o ring. I mean, how much can you.
Tom Griswold
I wonder if they were getting ready to. They're trying to land, too, because 30 minutes.
Josh Arnold
Can they land with somebody in there?
Tom Griswold
No, they cannot land with someone in the back.
Chick McGee
What?
Christy Lee
They can. If they. If they chose to. They could. That's. I hate that kind of. Those kind of laws. It's so stupid. What about land with a person in the bathroom? Calm down.
Chick McGee
Unless you put your. Unless you turn your phone on, then you'll crash the plane.
Christy Lee
Yeah, See, that kind of stuff.
Chick McGee
It's.
Christy Lee
What?
Chick McGee
Have you ever tried to vomit in a airplane bathroom?
Christy Lee
No, I haven't.
Chick McGee
It's really. It's close quarters, man.
Christy Lee
Why? There's no issue at all with landing with a person in the bathroom.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
What if they have a problem? Then the guy. Then he's going to sue you because.
Tom Griswold
They don't have his head on the ceiling.
Christy Lee
We could all never wear seat belts on planes and not get injured.
Josh Arnold
What about that plane that just turned over two, three weeks ago? That would have been a problem.
Chick McGee
I think you. This might. We, we might have to pen to paper and take a look at that. You need to start your own airline.
Christy Lee
Oh, dude.
Chick McGee
People who don't like airlines.
Ace Cosby
Airline.
Chick McGee
Yeah, I should Josh.
Pat Godwin
Comfortable seats. No. No seat belts.
Josh Arnold
I just think there should be a time limit. Time limit on how long you can spend on an airplane. Bathroom.
Chick McGee
No see, no movies.
Christy Lee
Just you exceed that time limit. You shouldn't be dragged out of there by some. A hole pilot.
Josh Arnold
No. I think you should then share your opioids with the pilot.
Pat Godwin
That's why you're constantly.
Chick McGee
My opioids?
Pat Godwin
That's where Tom was going with that.
Christy Lee
I don't know do pilots.
Josh Arnold
No one is familiar with that problem.
Christy Lee
Can you drink while, can you take opioids while you're drunk?
Chick McGee
Well, I'm asking for most people, it depends on how long you want to be drunk.
Josh Arnold
Well, if you're just joining us. Hi, how are you? This is the Bob and Tom program. We're coming to you from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I look over there, I see Christy Lee at the Silac insurance news desk. What else is happening?
Tom Griswold
A man had one final laugh after getting buried in a Snickers themed coffin recently. Before his death, Paul Broom often joked about having a candy bar coffin. Even asked for it in his will. Was he a fat face when he passed away? His family wanted to honor that memory in a way that reflected his personality.
Josh Arnold
Did he die of diabetes just by chance?
Chick McGee
I think I want to be buried in a roaster pan.
Christy Lee
Oh, like with black speckled one?
Chick McGee
Yeah, the one, the black speckled ones with the lid.
Tom Griswold
Oh, yeah.
Chick McGee
Is he cool, Tom? No.
Tom Griswold
Designed to resemble a Snickers bar, the coffin was emblazoned with the phrase I'm nuts. Loved ones said Mr. Broom or Brumais was known for his quick wit and mysterious sense of humor.
Chick McGee
I'm nuts is a hard evidence.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
What a. What a wacky some knowing that the.
Tom Griswold
Coffin was a perfect tribute to his playful nature.
Chick McGee
Oh, I'm, I.
Ace Cosby
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Here's a picture of it. It, it's, he's got the logo on there.
Chick McGee
And let me ask you something, Josh. You having that party, did you invite, did you invite Broom?
Christy Lee
Yeah, I had to, man. You know, he's.
Chick McGee
I'm not coming then.
Christy Lee
I don't blame you.
Chick McGee
You know, he's a self Described wacky.
Christy Lee
Okay, sure is. Think the clock is ticking.
Josh Arnold
Kind of disturbing, really. I don't know.
Chick McGee
I didn't know you could get a coffin that looked like.
Josh Arnold
No, they. It's. You can get anything. It looks like a traditional wooden.
Tom Griswold
Well, they made it themselves and they.
Pat Godwin
Yeah, they.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, they. But it looks semi. There you go.
Tom Griswold
There it is.
Chick McGee
Oh, there you go. I'm nuts.
Josh Arnold
Then on the end, you can't see, there's the Snickers logo.
Chick McGee
Oh, what's. Is that a teddy bear on top?
Pat Godwin
Looks like it.
Christy Lee
Why is it in, like the middle of an. I mean, it's.
Chick McGee
It's a conference room.
Christy Lee
It is a conference room and like a conference room. They rent out a conference room of a Holiday Inn.
Chick McGee
Yeah. Right.
Josh Arnold
It isn't a particularly elegant desk.
Pat Godwin
Some sort of eagle decal on the middle doll.
Josh Arnold
Do you think. Do you think if. If, say, somebody, some big company stepped up.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
And they would. It. They would lower the price of a casket if you had logos on it, you know, like, I don't know, like Verizon Wireless on the casket?
Chick McGee
No, I think they do commercials.
Josh Arnold
Our service is so good. Can you hear me down there?
Chick McGee
The furthest I would go. I think a burgundy coffin would be nice.
Josh Arnold
Oh, there you go.
Tom Griswold
Your love of Washington.
Ace Cosby
Washington.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I remember there was a Kiss. A set of Kiss caskets that were available.
Chick McGee
Caskets. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Tom Griswold
I bet Harley Davidson makes a casket.
Pat Godwin
I'll bet they do.
Josh Arnold
I wouldn't be surprised.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I mean, there are some themes, I guess.
Josh Arnold
I don't know. There's a certain dignity lacking there.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
If he'd been a dwarf, they could have done a fun size. They could have, but I guess that really could have.
Christy Lee
There's a darker road he could have gone down.
Chick McGee
Oh, yeah.
Christy Lee
I appreciate him doing.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. We were talking earlier about. About COVID bands.
Christy Lee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I've got an idea to do one. Call the guy Ted New, and he would sing Ted songs and pass out candy.
Chick McGee
No.
Josh Arnold
Okay. Sorry. Why do I want to see Ted Nougat? And by the way, what the hell is nougat anyway?
Tom Griswold
I don't know.
Josh Arnold
It sounds so disgusting.
Tom Griswold
I think it's a made up candy maker word.
Chick McGee
Josh, what am I showing you a picture of?
Tom Griswold
Oh, my.
Christy Lee
Well, that's a John Deere coffin there.
Chick McGee
There you go.
Christy Lee
The green and yellow and the logo and all that.
Chick McGee
This is a place called Sky Caskets. They have pages and pages of custom casket ideas. They do have these. The. They have the Kiss casket. They have a casket that. Tom. What Is that.
Josh Arnold
Is that a Dalmatian? I can't see from here.
Tom Griswold
Ow.
Chick McGee
It's cows.
Josh Arnold
Oh, okay, okay.
Tom Griswold
What are the price points on those?
Chick McGee
Cow colored casket.
Christy Lee
Can you get a glass casket?
Chick McGee
Oh, that.
Tom Griswold
Can you be buried in a snow White?
Christy Lee
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I want that.
Pat Godwin
No, you want it.
Chick McGee
No, no, Josh.
Christy Lee
I'm gonna be naked and I want to be displayed.
Josh Arnold
Oh, really?
Pat Godwin
All right.
Chick McGee
Oh, there you go. Josh, that's you. That's you, buddy. All day long. Flames, baby, flames. Anybody want to mention hell at any point?
Tom Griswold
Oh, you don't want to, right?
Chick McGee
You're asking for trouble.
Tom Griswold
I was looking for that.
Chick McGee
That's real rad.
Josh Arnold
Do they. Do they have the candy bars in there? The other.
Chick McGee
I haven't come across them.
Josh Arnold
Payday for the widow.
Chick McGee
They have a Harley Davidson.
Pat Godwin
She had good insurance on.
Chick McGee
They have a Chevy Camaro.
Tom Griswold
That was very funny.
Josh Arnold
Do they have.
Tom Griswold
They have a Chevy Camaro.
Josh Arnold
I heard this guy's. When they were taking this guy to the graveyard, they dropped it.
Christy Lee
Oh, they did?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, you know, classic case of Butterfingers.
Christy Lee
Oh, boy.
Chick McGee
Oh, she bangs them. There's something else stuck with the p.
Josh Arnold
You can't do them all.
Chick McGee
Oh, they have a Mickey Mouse casket.
Tom Griswold
No, they don't. That can't be licensed.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
That'S a perfect segue. So we can change the subject. A perfect segue into the story about Disney World.
Tom Griswold
A walk in cooler fire caused a plume of smoke to erupt over Epcot's France Pavilion at Walt Disney World Resort. A Disney representative said the fire, which broke out in a backstage area, was quickly put out. No injuries reported. Cause of that fire? Not immediately known. Photos and videos shared online show thick black clouds billowing from behind the pavilion's building.
Josh Arnold
See, that was black smoke. A lot of people at Disney thought they had a new boat. That's something they've never done. Pope. Mickey.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Mickey.
Josh Arnold
That's a nice miter.
Chick McGee
Is that right?
Josh Arnold
Well, Minnie, looks like. Looks like I'm going to be celibate for a while.
Chick McGee
I'm the Pope.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that was. Did you see any of the photographs?
Tom Griswold
I didn't, no.
Josh Arnold
It's kind of scary. Have to be. Gotta wonder what's going on over there.
Tom Griswold
Speaking of Walt Disney, their live action controversy riddled Snow White. Opened in theaters over the weekend.
Christy Lee
Controversy?
Chick McGee
What the hell?
Josh Arnold
Oh, it's.
Christy Lee
Who knows if you're upset about it. My gosh. How are you living?
Tom Griswold
I know. 43 million in ticket sales with a budget above 250 million. They're not exactly thrilled.
Josh Arnold
But wait A minute, though. The last time this happened was one of these things and it made 20 million the first weekend. Then I saw it was now at 800 million.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
These things have a way in the long run of.
Tom Griswold
Well. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Getting their money back.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Well, anyway, there's all kinds of controversies about the man. The two actresses don't get along and they're on different sides of a war.
Tom Griswold
Cgi, Dwarf. Dwarves.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, dwarves.
Christy Lee
But the different sides of a war.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
In the movie.
Josh Arnold
No, no, in reality.
Chick McGee
Oh.
Josh Arnold
Oh.
Pat Godwin
How are the reviews?
Josh Arnold
Tepid. Oh.
Tom Griswold
And I had not known. I didn't know about this one. Alto Knights. Do you know anything about that film?
Christy Lee
Yeah, the De Niro thing where he plays two gangsters.
Tom Griswold
Right. It didn't do well either at the box office. Oh, yeah. 3.2 million. He plays two roles there.
Christy Lee
Yeah. Competing, I think Frank Costello.
Chick McGee
Yeah. I. I, you know, love De Niro, but I don't know what they're. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Oh, Peter Sellers.
Chick McGee
Skeptical.
Josh Arnold
Can pull it off, Right?
Chick McGee
Sure.
Tom Griswold
In what?
Josh Arnold
He plays three roles in Doctor. Doctor Strange. Love.
Chick McGee
Oh, wait a minute. Is it three? Yeah, might be four.
Josh Arnold
Is it, Man.
Chick McGee
Mandrake, the President, doctor Strange. Strangelove.
Christy Lee
I think that's it.
Tom Griswold
I've never seen Doctor Strange. Love.
Pat Godwin
Oh, it's wonderful.
Josh Arnold
Oh, it's. It's one of the best movies ever made.
Tom Griswold
I haven't. Yeah, it is.
Christy Lee
Good.
Tom Griswold
Make a list and all.
Chick McGee
Good God.
Pat Godwin
Get defensive about it.
Josh Arnold
Just watch it.
Chick McGee
How do you stand up under the weight of your stupidity? Good God, woman.
Christy Lee
Classics that have. We've slipped a. I think I was.
Josh Arnold
Just saying the other day I could make you a lit. I've never seen so many famous. I've never seen Willy Wonka in the Chocolate Factory. I've never seen the Sound of Music.
Pat Godwin
What I've ever seen happen. I've never seen Gone with the Wind.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I saw it and hated it.
Chick McGee
It's too late to watch it now. It's gone.
Christy Lee
That I love it.
Pat Godwin
You love is a good.
Chick McGee
It's really good.
Josh Arnold
I saw it at a theater. There was an intermission.
Christy Lee
I got to see it in a theater with an intermission too. Huh. How long is it?
Tom Griswold
Three hours.
Chick McGee
Three and a half. Three and a half?
Christy Lee
Probably, yeah.
Josh Arnold
All I know is the scene in which George Reeves, the guy that played Superman, came out. People were screaming out, Superman was a bunch of kids. I was probably too young to tell him the punchline.
Ace Cosby
No, no, no, no.
Josh Arnold
That will leave it right there.
Chick McGee
That might have been why he was so depressed.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, good. It's time now to check in with a Mr. McGee across the way over there. Talk about the best way to listen to this show.
Chick McGee
Raycons Everyday Earbuds. Oh, active noise cancellation. At this price point, you betcha. Raycon's also capable of drowning out the most maddening of sounds. Tom Griswold
I did not know there was a contest.
Chick McGee
We need like introductory music.
Christy Lee
The Bounce Master Classic was this weekend.
Chick McGee
We need an award ceremony and a song. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Also we have contraceptives for animals in the news and more rubbers for raccoons. That's a good, good title. But they're not for raccoons. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show.

Josh Arnold, Pat Godwin, Christy Lee. Hi, I'm Chick McGee. We're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Hello, Tom.
Josh Arnold
Hello, Chick McGee.
Chick McGee
Eagerly awaiting our guest, Mr. Tom Green. He'll be here this morning.
Pat Godwin
Funny guy.
Josh Arnold
Now we are going to return at this point to Christy Lee at the SILAC Insurance news desk.
Tom Griswold
A recent poll reveals how people feel about tipping.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Tom Griswold
According to the survey from Wallet hub. All right, three and five think businesses are replacing employee salaries with customer tips. 85, six out of 10. Oh, really?
Chick McGee
Well, three out of five, six out of 10.
Josh Arnold
How many, how many out of 100.
Tom Griswold
Does this become a math quiz?
Chick McGee
Are you trying to. I was told there'd be no math. Okay.
Tom Griswold
85% of respondents think automatic service charges should be banned.
Chick McGee
People are anti tipping, like because it's.
Christy Lee
Every lustily so entitlement that people are a little upset with.
Tom Griswold
Over half say they often leave a tip due to social pressure rather than good service.
Christy Lee
Right. Let me decide what to tip and how to tip and when to tip. That's what people want.
Chick McGee
Have you ever tipped marginal service or bad service?
Christy Lee
You know, I still, I do even. Yeah, no, you know what, I'm, I'm probably not doing it correctly. Let's say 20% is the minimum. I still tip 20% for bad. I over tip for. Well, if there is such a thing for good service.
Chick McGee
Right.
Christy Lee
I don't punish the bad.
Josh Arnold
I think part of it also was that almost everywhere you go now they flip the screen around and there's the tip suggestions. Right?
Christy Lee
Sure, sure.
Tom Griswold
Which is interesting because nearly 3 in 10Americans tip less when they are presented with a tip suggestion screen.
Christy Lee
That's interesting.
Tom Griswold
That is interesting because I think a lot of people like the help, the math help.
Pat Godwin
I do too, too.
Tom Griswold
If you can't do it in your head over 75, how hard is it.
Chick McGee
To do it in your head? It's 10 and then double it. That's 20.
Tom Griswold
Honey, I know that and you know that, but what the hell? People over 75% of those polled think tips should be split among the employees who interact with customers.
Chick McGee
I bet 3 out of 5 people or 6 out of 10 could, could do it, handle it easily.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I think so.
Chick McGee
Don't you think too?
Josh Arnold
Sure.
Tom Griswold
And more than one in four Americans, that would be a quarter, wouldn't it? Think tips should be taxed as they are now.
Josh Arnold
Oh, that apparently is, is that going to go away? That was, who knows?
Chick McGee
That was one of the potentially campaign promises.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
I think they both made that promise.
Josh Arnold
How would that work exactly?
Tom Griswold
I don't know.
Chick McGee
I don't know how you would differentiate.
Josh Arnold
I mean, could I indicate. Change the structure of this.
Chick McGee
You see this big number here? That's all tips.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Yeah. At least they're going to start reporting them. Well, no, they wouldn't have to. I mean, that's the thing. Most restaurant workers don't report.
Josh Arnold
No, but they get a estimate from.
Christy Lee
The employer, which is much lower than the tips they're actually getting. And by the way, I'm fine with that. I'm not judging at all. You guys know me. I hate the irs.
Josh Arnold
They should be about, well, that's me.
Tom Griswold
Who would pay for your schools and your roads, and I'm not worried about it.
Christy Lee
Any of that.
Josh Arnold
He doesn't have to be, kid. I remember reading, reading the one story about the lady that went to the vet and had a 700 surgery on her dog or something. And there was. And that flipped around the thing and there was a suggestion for a tip.
Christy Lee
Yeah, that's a bummer.
Tom Griswold
Now, that's ridiculous.
Christy Lee
You just say no. You have to say no.
Josh Arnold
I know that the last time, it's 140 bucks. One of my little girls lost a tooth. I put, you know, five bucks under her pillow, and then when she woke up, she flipped a screen around. There was a suggestion for a tip. I think that's kind of bold. Yeah. I. I don't know. I wonder if tipping has gone up because of the prevalence of the screens where. It's right there.
Chick McGee
I thought you go up. Do you think some people don't tip because the screen. They feel almost attacked by seeing the screen like that.
Josh Arnold
I do.
Chick McGee
Right? They take it way too personally.
Christy Lee
I think they do take it too personal.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Christy Lee
It's pretty easy to take it one second and go, I'm gonna tip what I want instead of. I don't understand why.
Chick McGee
I think there is a box that says other. And you can put down.
Christy Lee
No.
Chick McGee
Yeah, absolutely.
Josh Arnold
How much do you tip your therapist?
Christy Lee
A Christmas gift every year.
Josh Arnold
Really?
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Oh, I was kidding.
Chick McGee
Oh, I don't. I don't tip my.
Josh Arnold
That was a good. That was a good sample, but 30%.
Chick McGee
I don't get her a Christmas gift. I should get her.
Christy Lee
It's just a nice little thing, you.
Tom Griswold
Know, you bring up a good point, though. Sometimes you don't know who to tip and who not to tip or if you should or if you should offer or.
Josh Arnold
Well, but the point now that it's there all the time, but I mean.
Tom Griswold
Like, people who maybe deliver to you or.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that's. You can put that on in advance.
Tom Griswold
No, I don't mean food. I mean item, like. Or services or.
Christy Lee
Oh, yeah, sure. Somebody delivers a fridge, what do you tip?
Tom Griswold
You tip them?
Josh Arnold
Absolutely.
Chick McGee
20 bucks, right?
Pat Godwin
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Per guy.
Tom Griswold
I usually do 20 bucks a guy, but at least. Yeah.
Chick McGee
Do you tip mailman?
Christy Lee
No, I don't tip any government worker.
Josh Arnold
That can be. That can be a. That can be a Christmas gift.
Tom Griswold
I do a Christmas gift.
Chick McGee
Oh, well, there you go.
Josh Arnold
How do you feel about. And I'm a big fan of this. When you go to a store and they say roundup and it's a charity, I love that. I'm a big fan of that.
Tom Griswold
I'm a fan of it. But are you sure it's going to the charity? That's where I go a little.
Christy Lee
Oh, geez. You sure hope so.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, I think it's usually.
Chick McGee
Would you like to round up for chavity?
Pat Godwin
Everyone else is doing. Everyone else is doing.
Tom Griswold
But I'm with you. I think it's an easy way to do things.
Christy Lee
Yeah, I'm a fan of that. I like it.
Tom Griswold
I'm just suspicious.
Josh Arnold
How about for a haircut, Josh?
Christy Lee
Sure. Yeah.
Pat Godwin
Oh, that's. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I don't have a tip.
Christy Lee
I don't have a particular percentage in mind. I just do it.
Josh Arnold
You base it on how handsome you look afterward.
Christy Lee
I should start doing that.
Chick McGee
Well.
Josh Arnold
Oh, here's a C note. I look great.
Christy Lee
I look so good. You should be tipping me.
Chick McGee
The last. Last haircut, you didn't have to tip anything. Am I right?
Josh Arnold
Can they trim your beard at a haircut place?
Chick McGee
Well, yeah. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I never get that because I know in certain states it's a different license. They can't shave your neck short.
Christy Lee
I think to use any kind of straight razor.
Josh Arnold
Insane.
Pat Godwin
They use.
Tom Griswold
They don't want you to die if they nick or stuff like that.
Christy Lee
The proper training does need to happen.
Chick McGee
The lady who cuts my hair doesn't have a straight razor, but she shaves my neck with. It's. It's hard to explain what the razor blade is, but it's made to simulate the straight razor shave. But it's not that.
Josh Arnold
Okay.
Chick McGee
Huh.
Christy Lee
But it's an actual blade, not a.
Chick McGee
It is an actual blade.
Tom Griswold
Quite the smooth line, right?
Josh Arnold
Don't you like the one where they have the. The stripe?
Chick McGee
I don't know, because I woke up today and it's 2025.
Tom Griswold
Have you really had a shave like that?
Christy Lee
Yeah, I'm gonna get that done. It's.
Josh Arnold
I should have done this last time.
Christy Lee
I've always said I want to go get.
Josh Arnold
That's. But that's a different. In this state. That's a different.
Chick McGee
Don't you have to look for somebody that has the.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, yeah.
Christy Lee
Strap.
Josh Arnold
Do you know, I believe it's pronounced strop.
Chick McGee
Oh, I thought. You know of anyone who has a strop.
Josh Arnold
Well, yeah, the time I had it done yet.
Christy Lee
Yeah, I'd love to get that done.
Chick McGee
And the heated foam.
Josh Arnold
Love the heated foam.
Christy Lee
I wanna. I want a sexy femme fatale to shave me with a straight razor. Like.
Josh Arnold
And she's holding it at your neck going, I believe we were talking 50.
Christy Lee
Kind of like, she's a Bond girl who could be a villain also, you know, like all of a sudden, halfway through, she's like, actually, I'm playing for the other side.
Pat Godwin
You could get the Sweeney Todd, though, and then you're in real trouble. Am I right?
Christy Lee
I wouldn't know. That's a wall. That's how I want to go.
Chick McGee
And she sees I want my.
Christy Lee
Want to have my throat slit and slid into a grinder and be mince pie.
Josh Arnold
I have a technical question. Is, is there out there. Is there a vending machine that asks for a tip at this.
Christy Lee
Oh, and who's falling?
Pat Godwin
No, I'm gonna say no.
Chick McGee
I know there's vending machines that take credit cards.
Josh Arnold
I was at a hotel in. In North Carolina, and in the lobby they had a vending machine that sold champagne. And it was. Wasn't cheap.
Christy Lee
That's cool.
Pat Godwin
Show ID or.
Chick McGee
Yeah, and little tiny bottles too, I bet, right?
Josh Arnold
Yeah, but I mean, it was pretty pricey. And I don't remember if there was a thing at the end for the Somalia. I don't know. That'll be. Then we'll know that we've officially come too far. Tipping has officially gone too far. Now we are once again broadcasting from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. And this is the Bob and Tom Show. Show.

Chick McGee

Chick McGee
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. Christy Lee at the Silac Insurance news desk. There's Pat Godwin. Hello. Hello. Gonna have a song here in seconds, I'm guessing. There's Josh Arnold. Hi, we're in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. I'm Chick McGee. Hello. How are you? There's Tom Griswold. Hi, Tom.
Josh Arnold
Hello. Chick McGee.
Chick McGee
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Just getting some stuff organized. I think we're gonna be visited by comedian Tom Green in person in a matter of moments.
Christy Lee
Boy, my cuticles are a mess.
Tom Griswold
You need to get a manicure today.
Christy Lee
I've never had a manicure, Tom. Have you?
Tom Griswold
Oh, my goodness. You should go.
Christy Lee
You guys know I'm a big proponent of pedicure.
Chick McGee
All of us guys go get manis and pedies.
Pat Godwin
Just petties. I don't like the Manny.
Josh Arnold
Are you a chewer?
Christy Lee
No, but my cuticles close to the fin. The actual skin of the. You know what I'm talking about, right?
Chick McGee
I just.
Josh Arnold
I need to.
Tom Griswold
You need to push them back every time. You watch.
Christy Lee
But I'm afraid that manicures hurt. Do they hurt?
Tom Griswold
No, they don't.
Pat Godwin
If someone is not paying attention, they cut you and you'll never. Yeah, go back. It happened to me.
Tom Griswold
You've had the worst luck in life.
Pat Godwin
She was talking to her friend, and then.
Christy Lee
And you need your hands. My gosh.
Pat Godwin
They're my. That's just how I express myself.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, that's how he expresses.
Chick McGee
Playing with him.
Josh Arnold
Semen. I'm sorry, where was I?
Chick McGee
Express a little semen.
Josh Arnold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Okay. Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Twitter's bird logo sign, which was taken down by Elon Musk and rebranded it to X. Remember that?
Chick McGee
Sure.
Tom Griswold
Auctioned off nearly $35,000. Somebody bought.
Christy Lee
Oh, this was on the outside of the building.
Chick McGee
Yeah, the little bird.
Tom Griswold
Okay.
Chick McGee
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tom Griswold
Where would you put that if you bought that?
Chick McGee
And my living room wall, it seems.
Tom Griswold
Like it would be a little large for that. Yeah. They say the estimated worth was $40,000. Name of the buyer was not disclosed.
Christy Lee
Who buys that?
Chick McGee
I got you. Got you, Elon.
Tom Griswold
The sign weighs 560 pounds and measures 12ft by 9ft.
Josh Arnold
So you see? So you're gonna need to have a. Holy hell. You can't use. Use the. You got to use the serious bolts.
Chick McGee
Oh, you're gonna have to.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, the Molly's not going to do it.
Chick McGee
You need to get into a stud. You can't.
Josh Arnold
Yeah. At least. Yeah, you may have to That'll pull.
Chick McGee
Your wall right down.
Josh Arnold
But it wouldn't be. It wouldn't be funny if it took up a whole wall in someone's living.
Tom Griswold
Room or on the outside of their house somewhere. Garage door.
Chick McGee
Let me show you my conversation piece over here. It's the Twitter sign from the outside of the building. That's right.
Josh Arnold
I like to turn the W off. Ain't that funny?
Chick McGee
I'm looking at a way to replace that first eye with an A. It's just the bird and call it twatter.
Ace Cosby
Now that's that be.
Chick McGee
I'd come to your house a lot. That's fun.
Josh Arnold
You had twer on the wall. Everybody loves that. I'm sorry. Could we get to any other topic?
Chick McGee
Yes.
Tom Griswold
We're going to talk about the fish of the year.
Chick McGee
Wait a minute. We don't.
Tom Griswold
We don't have any music for fish of the year.
Josh Arnold
Well, hang on a minute.
Chick McGee
The band fish. Some kind of Hollywood music or something. Or something.
Tom Griswold
There we go. I'll just.
Josh Arnold
Here we go. How about this? How about this?
Chick McGee
Time now for the fish of the year.
Tom Griswold
The blob fish. So that was kind of appropriate.
Christy Lee
Boy, those are weird.
Tom Griswold
Has been crowned New Zealand's fish of the year. New Zealand, the country's Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust, announced that this year's competition came to a dramatic close with the blobfish emerging victorious over the orange roughy by nearly 300 votes.
Christy Lee
Okay.
Chick McGee
Hey, hey. Yeah, that's right. I'm the Owen Drew Ruffy.
Christy Lee
Yeah, I'm the blob fish and I want.
Chick McGee
Who do you think you are there, blobby?
Josh Arnold
I got the whole list.
Tom Griswold
The blobfish, often referred to as the world's ugliest animal for its unfortunate brown and decidedly squishy disposition.
Chick McGee
Here, that's your.
Tom Griswold
It's being highlighted to raise awareness for conservation efforts.
Christy Lee
My wife doesn't seem to think so.
Chick McGee
Oh, no, she thinks so. She just don't care. Well, that's right. I'm the orange ruffy.
Christy Lee
You're the orange ruffian.
Chick McGee
I'm an orange ruffy. What about it, Pat? You want to try the orange ruffy?
Pat Godwin
A little scary to me.
Chick McGee
Damn right you should be scary.
Pat Godwin
I'm a rainbow trout.
Chick McGee
I always knew it. Well, well, well. Aren't you something?
Christy Lee
I saw you out with a blowfish.
Tom Griswold
Tom's crappy.
Christy Lee
Oh, we have a guest.
Chick McGee
Hey, there we go.
Josh Arnold
The second time has entered the room. Let's meet comedian Tom Green. He's getting all set up over there.
Chick McGee
Hey.
Josh Arnold
Hey, Tom. How Are you, What's going on?
Chick McGee
How are you, Tom?
Christy Lee
Great seeing you.
Chick McGee
Good.
Ace Cosby
How are you? How are you? How are you?
Chick McGee
How are you?
Josh Arnold
I, I was, I've seen chunks of the documentary and you look like you're so content on your farm.
Ace Cosby
Oh, thank you.
Josh Arnold
Riding around, you got all those animals there.
Ace Cosby
I've got a mule, I ride a mule now, which is a lot of fun actually. I never really knew much about mules or horses or anything growing up, but in the last couple years I've been riding around a mule in the wilderness of Canada every day.
Josh Arnold
It's great. Is your own farm?
Ace Cosby
Yes, it is. Yeah. I left Los Angeles since I was last here. I've lived there for 20 years in LA, but I moved back to Canada where we're kind of near where I'm from and got a farm. Yeah.
Chick McGee
So.
Josh Arnold
And you've learned how to do all this stuff?
Ace Cosby
Yeah, yeah. I mean, I'm not farming crops. I have a farm. Hay. We cut hay. So we do hay bales every, every August and, but mostly the animals is really what's taking up most of my attention. Looking after them. And chickens and guinea hens, which are interesting birds. They eat a lot of bugs and it's pretty, I get a lot of eggs. With the price of eggs, it's a good time to be farming chickens now.
Josh Arnold
Are you bringing eggs to all your friends?
Ace Cosby
Yeah, yeah, pretty much. Yeah. I mean, I've got. You get so many eggs. It's amazing how many eggs you get when you. With six chickens and eight guinea hens. I walk in there, if I don't go in the coop for a couple days, will be like 50 eggs in there.
Josh Arnold
You have coyotes trying to eat lots of coyotes.
Ace Cosby
The coyotes got my chickens at one point. I'm not a good farmer.
Chick McGee
No.
Josh Arnold
Are your neighbors helping you? Are they glad to have you around helping you out or they think you're some city boy that.
Ace Cosby
No, they're, they're, they're great.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Ace Cosby
I've got great, amazing neighbors, actually, local farmers. Some of them have been there for generations and, and you know, they, some of them are on the, on my new show. So I, I, I shot a show for Prime Video, so, so I've made some really good friends and they're all really helpful and excited to have, have us there and filming the film and stuff.
Josh Arnold
Fantastic. Tom Green is also a very fine stand up comedian. In fact, last time you came through, I wouldn't see. I've seen your show twice. I did not see you were doing it last Night I could not get down there.
Ace Cosby
But yeah, we two great shows. We did a matinee yesterday. I've never done a matinee in 20 years. It was hilarious. We did a show at 4:30, so I enjoyed it actually. I think, I don't know if that's a sign of age, but I think I'm gonna start call my agent. Let's do all the shows at 4:30. Yes.
Josh Arnold
Well, as your audience ages, that's a great start time.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, yeah, it was nice. But then we had 4:30 and 7:30 last night. We had two amazing shows.
Christy Lee
Are you getting up super early in the. On the farm now or.
Ace Cosby
I do, I do. When I'm at home on the farm, it's kind of a weird like shift in, in, you know, wake up time when you go on the road doing stand up. Because I've been on the road for the last two months now actually. But, but when I'm home, get up super early. I like to get up with the morning, the morning light and get out there and get out to the barn.
Josh Arnold
So obviously someone's taking care of the animals.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, yeah, I have, I have a farmhand who's looking after it. My parents actually stay at my house when I leave too, which is nice. They live just down the road.
Josh Arnold
I hope to God that they paint the barn while you're gone, you know. You know that's one of your famous, what do you call skits, Whatever you want to call it.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, I painted their, their, their house plaid when I was a kid and put it on tv.
Josh Arnold
God, that was funny.
Ace Cosby
Well, if you, it's funny you mentioned that because if you watch the, the show on prime, they, they may have done something like that. Okay, episode four, don't, don't skip ahead to episode four. But they may have done something like that. I don't want to. Spoiler alert, alert.
Josh Arnold
But Tom Green is our guest. That Tom is a distinguished video. Video guy, comedian, lots of stuff, movies. And the new project is available on Amazon Prime.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, it's called Tom Green country and I actually recorded the soundtrack for it, which is also on Spotify called Home to the country, which is the.
Josh Arnold
And we're going to actually hear a little bit of that in a minute here.
Ace Cosby
We recorded that at actually an amazing rock, legendary rock band from Canada, the tragically hip.
Christy Lee
Oh sure, sure.
Ace Cosby
Recorded at their studio in Kingston, Ontario.
Josh Arnold
Cool. Now and Canada has those unusual content laws.
Ace Cosby
Well like regarding.
Josh Arnold
They have to play certain number of Canadian artists.
Ace Cosby
Oh yeah, yeah. Well that's always been Kind of, sort of. It's basically to encourage Canadian content to be played because, you know, you guys down here in America, you're so big, you know, and we, we get overwhelmed by the American, American sort of show business system.
Josh Arnold
But a lot, a lot of. Guess who. A lot of document Turner over a lot of Rush.
Ace Cosby
It's called Cancon requirements. And they want. They want the radio to play like, you know, 20 Canadian content. And then that encourages new artists and stuff. Like, when I was a kid, I was in a rap group. Okay.
Christy Lee
Oh, okay.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, that sounds pretty good. A rap. Teenage rappers from Ottawa.
Chick McGee
Sounds pretty good.
Ace Cosby
Sounds like something I want. What was the name of the band we called? Organized Rhyme. Yeah, we actually got nominated for a Juno, which is the Canadian Grammy kind of thing. When I was like 19, I got nominated for that and I was. We were on much music all the time. But, you know, a lot of that was, you know, encouraged by this. You know, our music got played on the radio and we had our music videos played on much music.
Josh Arnold
Are the fellows from your rap band still out there?
Ace Cosby
Yeah, well, Greg's doing good and I haven't. I lost touch with our dj, but the other rapper and I, we were.
Josh Arnold
Maybe it's time to do on the Farm rap.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, well, we. He did. He actually came out to the farm for the documentary. Greg Campbell's in the documentary and he's. He's a good guy. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
We're going to hear some of that music in just a second here. A couple of thick things we got to do here. Christy Lee, of course, is at her post. Yes, the Silac Insurance news desk. Chick Magee. I'll talk to you.
Chick McGee
All right.
Josh Arnold
Are you familiar with the Dow Jones index?
Chick McGee
I am, but I'm more of a footsie guy, really.
Josh Arnold
Really. That's. That's the top 100 companies in on the London Exchange, I think.
Chick McGee
Is that. Oh, is that what it is?
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Okay. For the sake of credibility, let's. Let's go with the Silac commercial here instead. Do you have your slide whistle handy?
Chick McGee
I do, yes. I just like to say footsie, though.
Josh Arnold
You know, it can happen with the stock market, don't you?
Chick McGee
It can go up and down.
Josh Arnold
How would it sound going down? Oh, very good.
Chick McGee
I was prepared for up.
Josh Arnold
Okay. How would it sound going up?
Chick McGee
There you go.
Josh Arnold
What it's all about is volatility. Don't worry about volatility. Did I say val?
Chick McGee
That's volatility.
Josh Arnold
Thank you.
Chick McGee
Thank you.
Josh Arnold

Chick McGee
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tob Show. Chrissy Lee at the Silac Insurance news desk.
Tom Griswold
Hey, Chick.
Chick McGee
There's Pat Godwin.
Josh Arnold
Hey, Chick.
Chick McGee
Hello, Josh Arnold.
Christy Lee
Hi, Chick.
Chick McGee
There's Tom Griswold. I'm Chick McGee. And we've got a special guest in.
Josh Arnold
The studio, Tom hanging out with us.
Chick McGee
That's right. Charlie the puppy dog.
Josh Arnold
We have a Tom Green's dog.
Ace Cosby
Yes, absolutely. Charlie's, Charlie's star of the show on. No, she comes on stage with me during my stand up show as well. And she's, we have a chair up there and she just sits up on stage with me. She's gotten really good.
Josh Arnold
She's a lady, Charlie.
Chick McGee
She's a good girl.
Josh Arnold
All right.
Chick McGee
Kind of new. Kind of. Now, Charlie, do you get, do you get that reference? It's a perfume, Charlie.
Tom Griswold
Way back in the 70s 80s.
Chick McGee
Bobby Short was singing Charlie.
Tom Griswold
Behind the piano.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, yeah, Charlie, I was born in 71, so maybe subconsciously I, maybe, maybe.
Tom Griswold
Your mom, your mom might have worn it.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, I do.
Christy Lee
I remember.
Chick McGee
And by the way, what's your mom doing, huh?
Ace Cosby
Hey, wait a minute.
Chick McGee
You tell her I said Chick said hi.
Christy Lee
I remember, Charlie. Based on Flowers from Algernon. Yeah, watch that. We had to read it and then watch it.
Ace Cosby
Well, Charlie's actually named after the John Stein Weinbeck book Travels with Charlie. Oh, yes, poodle. Yeah, yeah, exactly, because I got her when, when the pandemic happened. I was kind of looking for something to do because the touring got canceled and everything. And I, I got a van, I got a camper van which I'm driving in Right now on this tour. And I got Charlie at the same time. My dad said, oh, like Travels With Charlie, you're gonna drive around with a dog in a camper? I said, what's Travels with Charlie? He said, it's a book by Steinbeck. I said, I don't read. He said, yeah, I know. That's what I'm telling you about.
Josh Arnold
So if it didn't move you to actually go read the book.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, no, I did read the book. I read the book. It's great book. And actually kind of used it as inspiration, not just for Charlie's name, but for a lot of video that I was shooting at the time, my YouTube channel. So I would go around, and I basically went all over the Southwest and made videos about America. He wrote a book about America, but I did videos about America and went out into the desert of the Southwest a lot. And so I've been doing this trip, too, going out into New Mexico and Arizona and found all sorts of really amazing Native American ruins out in places like Chaco Canyon, which is really incredible. There's huge archaeological sites out there that I had no idea were there until that trip. And now I'm kind of quite fascinated by it also.
Josh Arnold
Cool. Tom Green, the documentary right now is on Prime Video. Am I getting this right?
Ace Cosby
Absolutely, yeah. Amazon Prime Video. Yep.
Josh Arnold
It's called. Is it like Tom Green Documentary?
Ace Cosby
It's called this is the Tom Green Documentary. It's kind of based off my old theme song, this is the Tom Green show right off on mtv. So we called it this is the Tom Green Documentary. And which was the. You know, it was a theme song to my TV show, of course.
Josh Arnold
And you're. You're back living a real life. You're now living on a farm in Canada.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
When you're not touring, it's.
Ace Cosby
It's.
Chick McGee
It's.
Ace Cosby
It's funny because, like, people sometimes say, oh, my. It must be a big adjustment leaving Los Angeles to go back to a country in Canada. But, you know, I never really quite got used to living in Los Angeles, even though I was there for 20 years. You know, I grew up in Canada, and I always liked being outdoors and nature, and I lived right in the middle of Hollywood in la. So. So it actually, it's a big relief being home. I've settled in real, real nicely there, and I like, you know, I love it.
Josh Arnold
Yeah, good. Now, you're gonna be. Your tour is not quite over. You're gonna be in Pittsburgh coming up in a couple days, Poughkeepsie, Ithaca, New York. Coming up, Sunday, 8:00 show, it looks like in Ithaca, New York at the Hangar Theater. Lots of other stops coming up including Phoenix and Bakersfield and more. And you can find all this stuff if you just google Tom Green Tour and find out what's going on there. Now I have been presented with. I have not heard it, but a. This is a sample of your work singing. What do you want to give me the background on this?
Ace Cosby
Well, you know, I've always liked making music, but basically been playing my guitar a bit more, trying to improve my piano playing and writing some songs and being back in the country kind of inspired this record and, and so I got together with a few local musicians. We started performing together around the around town and, and recorded this album in the tragically Hip studio in a legendary Canadian rock band. Tragically Hip. And yeah, it's been a lot of fun. I actually bring my guitar with me when I do stand up and you know, perform a little few songs at the end of the show and goof around with the guitar at the end of the show. So.
Christy Lee
Cool.
Josh Arnold
You actually have a strong resemblance to Eric Clapton.
Ace Cosby
Not in the guitar playing, but maybe with the Beatles.
Josh Arnold
I was hoping. This is a famous Canadian song, if I'm not mistaken. Let's play a little bit of this for you. This is Tom Green.
Ace Cosby
I got my first real six string Bought it at the five and dime Played it till my fingers bled Was the summer of 69 me and some guys from school had a band and we tried real hard Jimmy quit, Jody got married should have known we'd never get far oh, when I look back now that summer seemed to last forever and if I had the choice yeah.
Chick McGee
I'd always want to be there those.
Ace Cosby
Were the best days of my life oh, yeah Back in the summer of.
Josh Arnold
69 that's comedian Tom Green. That gives it a whole different feel.
Christy Lee
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Very little country.
Ace Cosby
A little country version of summer 69.
Josh Arnold
But also a little more old man reminiscence.
Christy Lee
Sounds like the National. Are you familiar with the national at all? Yeah, sounds like them.
Ace Cosby
Yeah. Yeah. People have said that. Yeah. I know I tend to sing and other two registers of my voice, but yeah, it's, it's, it's fun. I, I, I just. Brian Adams went to my high school, actually.
Chick McGee
Oh.
Ace Cosby
And not, you know, he's a few years older than me. He was there before I was there, but, but he's actually been kind of very encouraging with my music, actually. Like, I, I just, so I just did that cover just sort of on a whim, we put that together. Most of the songs on the record I wrote, but I did a couple of covers. Did a Gordon Lightfoot cover, Barenaked Ladies cover, and Tragically hip cover. So some of my favorite Canadian bands, all Canadian artists and. But yeah, I was performing once in San Diego and I'd never met Bryan Adams before, but I was at a big music festival. He was performing, and I said to the promoter, you know, can I. Could I meet Brian? You know, he just sort of welcomed me back into the green room because he heard I went to his high school. We hung out and he's been really, really cool. I've sent him some music over the years. He told me to keep. Keep recording. So I did.
Josh Arnold
Now we have Christy Lee at the Silenc Insurance News. Do you want to share a News story with Mr. Green?
Chick McGee
What do you mean?
Ace Cosby
I want to hear the news story.
Tom Griswold
You want to hear about the blobfish. Did you hear that coming up?
Ace Cosby
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Tom Griswold
The blobfish has been named New Zealand's fish of the year over the orange roughy.
Ace Cosby
Oh, my God. Soon to be an invasive species here probably, right.
Tom Griswold
The blobfish looks like a normal fish due to the pressure of the depths. It lives in between 1,970ft and 3,940ft beneath the water surface.
Pat Godwin
I don't care.
Chick McGee
This is the orange. Ruffy and I got robbed.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
They look really ugly, but because.
Tom Griswold
Well, because of the rapid depressurization.
Ace Cosby
Wow, look at that.
Chick McGee
He looks like Jimmy Durant. You don't remember him?
Josh Arnold
Yeah. Or a melting Elmer Fud.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, yeah. So he gets gooey when he comes to the surface. That's what he looks like.
Josh Arnold
Really, really unappealing.
Chick McGee
What's coming out of the corner of his mouth there, fellas.
Ace Cosby
Can't say that on radio.
Chick McGee
Oh, boy.
Christy Lee
He was having a good time.
Ace Cosby
Blobfish. Have fun too.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Tom Griswold
Or blobfish.
Chick McGee
Come here, blobby.
Josh Arnold
He barely won over the orange. I got the whole top 10. Oh, yeah, the orange roughy, the long fin eel, the whale shark. Way down at the bottom, the blue cod. I don't know if we do that in the States. Do we have a fish of the year?
Tom Griswold
I don't think so.
Ace Cosby
Oh, okay.
Chick McGee
I think it's always like carp or something.
Tom Griswold
A largemouth bass.
Ace Cosby
Oh, large mouth bass. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Aren't you eating strictly fish for Lent on Friday?
Tom Griswold
Fridays. It's not Friday, is it?
Christy Lee
No, no, no, you're good.
Ace Cosby
I do a lot of Fishing. Now that I'm back in Canada, I've caught a few largemouth bass this year. Bass and pike is pretty much what we're in Canada.
Chick McGee
Right.
Ace Cosby
And walleye as well.
Tom Griswold
I had that last Tuesday.
Ace Cosby
Or pickerel. Do you call them pickerel here or do you call them walleye here?
Christy Lee
We call them walleye here.
Ace Cosby
Yeah. It's very confusing. It's regional. You know, some, some parts of Canada, they call them pickerel. Some call it walleye. I think it's Americans call it walleye.
Christy Lee
Ever call a bass a ditch base?
Chick McGee
Pickle.
Christy Lee
That's a nickname for a bass.
Ace Cosby
Oh, okay, okay, okay.
Josh Arnold
Ditch pickle, sadly. Sounds like a sex move.
Chick McGee
Give her the ditch pickle.
Christy Lee
The old ditch pickle.
Josh Arnold
If you're just joining us, hi. This is the Bob and Tom Show. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios. Our guest is comedian Tom Green has joined us. Mr. Green has been very active in the world of television and, and music and comedy for a long time in lots of different ways, of course. Many, many different shows. Lots of videos, kind of in a way, I think you could say the Jackass guys owe you a fee. But a lot of stunt stuff. Very early on when you were really young, you started doing it.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, it's kind of, kind of what the documentary is about on Prime. It's sort of takes you through the journey of it all because you, you know, it was, it was early on, it was before, it was before YouTube. Right. It was obviously before that and before social media, but even really before reality tv, it was when video cameras were kind of just becoming accessible to, you know, regular people who could get their hands on a video camera. And so we sort of started filming a show with a video camera with no rules and no real professional guidance, and just went out and did it for a public access TV show in case that we sort of weaseled our way into the public access station. But it eventually became a hit in Canada and MTV heard about it and that's what happened. So it's kind of a, it was an interesting time because when, you know, we were making the show in those early days, yeah, I'd do all the pranks of my parents like you mentioned, Tom. And it was like, you know, nobody knew what they were looking at. They'd say, are those your real parents? They didn't understand that there was real people on tv. It was really just a completely different world. So it kind of, it kind of was something, something that was very exciting at that time. You know, when people Saw the show.
Josh Arnold
And on kind of a serious note, I don't want to dwell on it, but you also did some really important work in the realm, talking about your own personal issues with testicular cancer. And bravo to you for talking about it.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, yeah.
Josh Arnold
And I know that we've had a couple of folks that have come in here with various issues like that, and when we. When they do that, we will get letters like, oh, yeah, so. And so came in, was talking about this, and I made my husband check himself, and it turned out he had it, and he was able to get it fixed. And, you know, now he's fine. But it's one of those things where you got to know about it. So getting some real information out there, besides the silliness, very important. And bravo to you for bringing that up.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Ace Cosby
I mean, that's amazing. When you talk about illness and when you talk about your experiences, how it does. Does actually affect people. Because I have. People come to my shows, like you said, and they saw that. The cancer special, it's on YouTube, but we filmed my whole sort of battle with cancer. It was sort of a. Kind of a sudden thing that happened. The show on MTV stopped because I had cancer. It was. That's why I stopped doing the Tom Green Show. And, you know, we decided to film one last set, one last episode of me going through that. But I have. I've had people come up to this to me on my shows on this tour. You know, usually guys in their 40s, you know, just kind of very emotional. Very emotional sort of things, you know, where they come with their wife and they want to meet me, and then they're very, very sort of. You know, they've wanted to meet me for a while because they. They went to the doctor because of the. Because of the show. So I feel like MTV should air it again. But, you know, and.
Josh Arnold
And better than some of the other stunts you've done.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, yeah. Well, absolutely.
Josh Arnold
Lying face down on a busy street.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Don't do that.
Ace Cosby
No, no. Well, yeah.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Ace Cosby
We also got a few people killed. No, I'm just joking.
Josh Arnold
The documentary Talk talks about how Tom now lives on a farm with his mule.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
AB.
Ace Cosby
She's actually the largest rideable mule in Canada.
Christy Lee
No kidding.
Ace Cosby
Yeah. So it's. She's extremely tall. She's 16. Three hands. Okay. Which is a way you measure a horse or a mule. So she's taller than a horse. You know, most horses. She's a. Because a mule's half horse, half donkey. So her mother was a Percheron horse and her father was a mammoth. Donkey and mules are really cool, actually. They're extremely intelligent animals. They're not. They're not. People say they're stubborn, but they're actually very smart. And they get mistaken for being stubborn because they're really always calculating whether it's safe for them to obey these commands they're being given by their rider. So she studies you, figures you out, and she's figured out that I have no idea what I'm doing. And then sometimes she's a little skeptical about whether she wants to ride off into the woods and stuff. But as I've gotten to know her better and gained her trust, and she. And I've gotten better about it, better at it. She's. She's now turning left again. We used to just go out for a spin.
Tom Griswold
What's your name?
Ace Cosby
Fanny.
Tom Griswold
Fanny.
Josh Arnold
The day we thought it would be.
Tom Griswold
Funny to bring mammoth Jack in here.
Josh Arnold
It was a mammoth Jack.
Ace Cosby
Oh, wow. Yes. I love those. Yeah, I've seen those.
Chick McGee
Giant.
Josh Arnold
We thought it would be funny to bring one in the building.
Chick McGee
And we walked him around, and we were just concerned about number two.
Josh Arnold
Actually, we didn't think it through.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
So we took a picture in the boss's office with this. And this thing was huge.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Like, you know, there's a jackass in the general manager.
Josh Arnold
And we're thinking, oh, if this thing poops, we're in trouble. And then we took it outside. And the second we got outside, the fire hose began.
Ace Cosby
Oh, nice potty truck.
Chick McGee
Evidently.
Josh Arnold
But we realized if. If that had happened, it would have been all new carpeting.
Chick McGee
It would have flooded the building. Yeah, it was amazing.
Josh Arnold
But, yeah. Beautiful animal.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. So that's. That. That's like a donkey. That's a giant donkey. Yeah. Which is cool. So that's basically what Fanny's father was.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
And again, you can observe all this stuff with the documentary. The exact title is the.
Ace Cosby
The documentary is called this is the Tom Green Documentary. And the show is called Tom Green Country. And on the show, you actually see Fanny arrive the first day she arrives.
Tom Griswold
And it's all on prime video.
Ace Cosby
On Prime Video.
Josh Arnold
And the tour continues. I know you're in Ithaca in a couple of days and some other spots. Bakersfield coming up. And more. We have time for one more quick news story with Mr. Green.
Tom Griswold
Okay. German officials say pigeons will be tricked into taking contraceptive pills as part of a train station's plan to reduce the bird population.
Ace Cosby
Tricked? How do they do that? What's the Trick.
Tom Griswold
Well, here we go. So apparently they are launching the initiative where they lace the bird feed at Berlin's. I'm not even going to try to pronounce some German rail station with a pigeon bill that renders the animals infertile. They're hoping that by reducing the birds numbers, they can also reduce the amount of pigeon pigeon poop.
Ace Cosby
Oh, yeah, that's right.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Huh.
Christy Lee
Why do you make it look like popcorn or something?
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Why do they have to trick them? We've pretty. Pretty much anything. Yeah.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
I don't know. And if it works, they're going to expand it to other train stations all across Berlin.
Ace Cosby
They don't expressly say that there's birth control in it. They just. They just. They just tell them it's food.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Ace Cosby
So that's the trick.
Tom Griswold
Yeah.
Ace Cosby
It's a lie of omission.
Josh Arnold
Could they do this for fans of the New York Jets? Whoa. Reduce.
Chick McGee
Just tell them that.
Ace Cosby
Hot dogs and.
Josh Arnold
Okay, sorry. I'm tired of hearing about them.
Chick McGee
No more jets fans. Okay?
Josh Arnold
Yeah. But right now. Now I want to talk to Josh about his feet.
Christy Lee
You do?
Josh Arnold
I do.
Christy Lee
You want to see him?
Josh Arnold
No.
Chick McGee
I want to hear about your orange insoles, though. What color are they?
Christy Lee
I want to hear more about Tom wanting to see my feet.
Chick McGee
I know. That's why I jumped in.
Ace Cosby
What do you have? Planters fasciitis.
Christy Lee
I did. Okay, but not anymore.
Ace Cosby
Okay. I just wanted to say planters fasciitis.
Christy Lee
It is a fun thing to say. It has nothing to do with gardening. I always thought it had something to do with gardening. I thought planters.
Chick McGee
Planter's wart. Nothing to do with.
Christy Lee
No, it doesn't. You can just get these things. But the odds of having Plantar's fasciitis go way down. If you have orange insoles. That's right. If you're working on your feet all day, maybe you're in construction or you're a farmer, Tom. Or you a doctor teacher. Walking around in those shoes you have right now, probably giving you zero support. I guarantee there's a thin, flimsy liner in there that's not helping you out. You might even be experiencing back pain, hip pain, knee pain. Who knows? Orange insoles, though, they offer arch support and a deep heel cup that work better in your shoes to help support your body. They give you better alignment and alleviate that discomfort. And listen to this. Orange insoles just released their brand new orange sport insole. That's right. Most athletic shoes lack true support. But not the new orange sport they have new and exclusive o foam technology with a thin athletic profile just like mine. For top performance, they offer three times the durability and 40% more energy return. Find the right orange insole for you and every shoe, whether you wear work boots, dress shoes, sneakers, you name it. No cutting required. They come true to size and they include sizes 15 plus. Josh Arnold

Josh Arnold
Minute.
Chick McGee
Hey, welcome back to the Bob and Tom Show. Christy Lee and Josh Arnold, Pat Godwin, I'm Chick McGee. Hello, Tom. We have a special guest in the studio.
Josh Arnold
Joining us in the studio. It's comedian, video master, musician, stand up comic. He's done it's, he's Tom Green and he's now living on a farm in Canada. The documentary about that transition from Canada to LA to showbiz, back to Canada, back to the farm is on right now on Prime. The exact, I want to get the title exactly correct.
Ace Cosby
Tom Green country is the show and the documentary is this is the Tom Green documentary. And there's a stand up special in prime too. It's called I Got a Mule is the name of the standard.
Christy Lee
Oh, great. And it's true.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Ace Cosby
And that's true. Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Because you have a mule.
Ace Cosby
Yes.
Josh Arnold
We talked about the mammoth Jack that was in our studios.
Tom Griswold
Yes.
Josh Arnold
Which is gigantic. Was that technically a mule?
Ace Cosby
A man that'd be more a donkey. It's more of a donkey donkey. Yeah. And yeah, I've looked at those. Those are amazing because I have a donkey as well. And, and I think I'd like to get a, another donkey friend for my donkey, Kia. It's interesting when you watch the herd. There's, I've actually, there's a, I've a, a quarter horse and it's full and Fanny and Kia. So there's four animals out there in the pasture. Her and you know, sometimes Kia, the donkey kind of just goes off and stands a little off to the side by herself. So I think I need to get her another donkey. It's amazing watching the Herd. Not always, but just sometimes you can tell she just feels a little bit like I'm gonna go be a donkey.
Josh Arnold
Over here, maybe get her a pet goat.
Ace Cosby
Yes, yes. Those are. Yeah, yeah, those are. Yeah, those are. Those look fun, too. But I know I've avoided the goat because I think my neighbors have goats and they run away all the time, so I just don't feel like dealing with that.
Josh Arnold
He's currently running away on the road and lots of shows coming up, and then you're giving yourself a little bit of a break. But then I know for one thing, you're going to be at the Hanger Theater, Ithaca, coming up this Sunday evening. Am I getting that right?
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
And tomorrow night in Pittsburgh.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, Pittsburgh, New York State, and then home. So I'm just driving up, back to Canada. So it's been pretty amazing tour we started in Canada. I'm in the camper van that I told you about earlier, where I traveled around in that. I'm in the camper van. And we drove from. From the farm, down through Nashville, Chattanooga, Oklahoma, then to Dallas, Austin, Houston, over to Phoenix, and then up through Colorado and doing shows all the way and.
Chick McGee
Cool.
Josh Arnold
And are you doing all the driving?
Ace Cosby
I'm doing all the driving. And I don't know if you guys heard about this, but I'm also traveling with my fiance as well.
Chick McGee
Oh, wonderful.
Ace Cosby
So I am getting married to my fiance and my dog and I on tour. So she's thinking to herself, oh, this is great. I'm getting married and then all of a sudden go, let's go live in a van for two months. No, we're staying in hotels most of the night. But. But we took. We take breaks in them in the tour. I've. I've sort of had weeks off in the tour where we go off into the desert. And we were in Utah exploring some amazing places in this country. And I really have become fascinated with some of the. The historical sites, the archaeological sites in the desert. So coming through Utah, we went to this place, Bears Ear National Monument, between Monument Valley and Colorado. And there's all sorts of incredible archaeological ruins out in the mountains, some of them undiscovered. You know, you look, literally you can walk into a canyon and find, you know, arrowheads and all sorts.
Josh Arnold
We always get the stories about someone walking on a beach and they'll find something, and it turns out to be the largest tooth ever of a mastodon or something.
Ace Cosby
Yeah, or a shark. Yeah, yeah. It's. It's kind of a beautiful thing. I like I like. I like being out in nature. I think that's kind of what sort of inspired me to want to leave Los Angeles. You know, when I. When I would go out into the desert in my van and I would wake up in the morning and make a cup of coffee and look at the sun coming over the mountains, and I think, why am I living in big city? You know?
Josh Arnold
So I. I always think of the architect. Archaeology. The. The Onion. Famous Onion headline. Archaeologists discover ancient skeleton people.
Ace Cosby
Right.
Josh Arnold
Right. Now, typically at this point, we would do the Ace Cosby joke of the day. I should point out, Ace, I had an accident over the weekend. He literally fell over his cat. Yeah, the cat's okay, by the way. People keep writing.
Tom Griswold
Cat's fine.
Josh Arnold
Ace had a very serious break in his tibia.
Chick McGee
Oh, I thought he was just taking a sabbatical to write that novel.
Josh Arnold
And Ace has never missed a day of radio video in 42 years.
Tom Griswold
At least 42.
Josh Arnold
Never. This is his first time he's ever missed a day. Yeah, he had to have surgery. There's some pins and rods in his right leg right now.
Ace Cosby
Wow. So never missed a day in 42 years. That is incredible.
Christy Lee
Well, he was laid off for a lot of that time.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Tom Griswold
Five years there.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
Thank you for putting that in. So it's now time for the substitute Ace Cosby joke of the day.
Christy Lee
I'll do it today. I think we should take turns three throughout the week.
Josh Arnold
Okay. Do you want the intro music or not?
Christy Lee
Oh, I think we have to.
Chick McGee
Okay.
Josh Arnold
Okay. Here it comes. Here it comes.
Chick McGee
Cruise. That sounds.
Josh Arnold
Oh, sorry. Here he is with his joke of the day.
Christy Lee
Hey, Trick.
Chick McGee
Yes, Josh?
Christy Lee
We've been talking about how New Zealand named the blobfish the fish of the year.
Chick McGee
Mm.
Christy Lee
Well, did you hear about this? A little fish walks into a bar.
Chick McGee
Uh huh.
Christy Lee
The bartender asks the fish, what can I get you? The little fish replies, water.
Chick McGee
I need water.
Tom Griswold
Brought to you by sleep number. Sleep better together. Sleep number Smart beds start at only $999. Exclusively at a sleep number store. Prices higher in Alaska and Hawaii.
Chick McGee
You sold the hell out of it.
Christy Lee
I felt it was.
Tom Griswold
Yeah, I'm lean.
Christy Lee
Was trying to make a proud.
Ace Cosby
Yeah.
Chick McGee
Very nice.
Pat Godwin
They can't walk into a bar.
Chick McGee
No, you certainly didn't. A horse walk into a bar. Do we want to save that one?
Christy Lee
We can do that.
Chick McGee
Yeah.
Josh Arnold
I think it's a horse. A rabbi, A priest?
Chick McGee
No, the horse walks in. Remember, Josh?
I
Yeah.
Christy Lee
Horse walks into a bar. Bartender says, why the long face? The horse said, my wife Just died. Oh, he's genuinely sad.
Josh Arnold
See what he did there?
Chick McGee
There.
Pat Godwin
See, they have.
Christy Lee
You think it's just a.
Chick McGee
Comedy's like boxing, right? You think you got to get a hit with a left hook and there comes a jab.
Ace Cosby
No, that was great. Those are good ones for sure.
Josh Arnold
Do we have time to do a real quick today in history?
Chick McGee
I think we do.
Josh Arnold
Okay, let's see. Happy Birthday, Harry Houdini, 1874. He escaped from his mommy's mommy parts on this date. Clyde Barrow, 1909, of course, was famous for Tiger trainer Bonnie and Clyde.
Chick McGee
Okay. Oh, I'm a Clyde Beatty.
Josh Arnold
Steve McQueen, the American actor. Not the.
Chick McGee
Possibly the coolest man to ever live. Right?
Tom Griswold
He was pretty cool, maybe. Yeah.
Christy Lee
He was in the Blob. We were talking about the.
Chick McGee
Was he in the Blob or Michael Landon in the Blob.
Tom Griswold
He was in the Blob.
Josh Arnold
Oh. Happy birthday, Arlee. Ermie.
Chick McGee
Oh, early.
Pat Godwin
Er.
Chick McGee
Are you going?
Tom Griswold
Who the hell's Ary?
Josh Arnold
Erm, he's the drill sergeant.
Chick McGee
Sergeant Full Metal Jacket.
Christy Lee
You would recognize him in a heartbeat.
Chick McGee
Is it okay if I'm in charge now?
Josh Arnold
He's. And he's.
Chick McGee
Thank you very much.
Josh Arnold
He was in all. In real life. That's what he did when he.
Christy Lee
When he walks up to a poor, poor soldier and he just goes. What's your excuse?
Josh Arnold
How do you answer that? Once again, from the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios, this is the Bob and Tom Show.
