It was one guy who did not have two sources and trying to be first in Arkansas and said that he had signed. He never Signed. And from what I. And I'm not doing what I heard and stuff, but I know people that. And they were like, hey, trying to get the Ole Miss job. And so Ole Miss job was not going to be open even if Lane left, because I hired the defensive coordinator, but the Auburn job was opened because summer I went to Florida and they thought some. And so he took the Auburn job, which right now is a better job than the Arkansas job. And so we don't have goal. Ish. And then everybody's like, well, this is interesting. And so they hire Silverfield from Memphis, who beat us this year. I posted on Twitter, I didn't know Pittman and Silverfield were racing for pinks. I just am so emotionally burnt of this season, of the last three, four, five years. Whatever, man. I don't know.

This year has been a long one for you guys.

I don't know. I'm sure it'll be fine. It can't be worse, right? Famous last words.

But it's. What's crazy about all these games, though, is that you were. Arkansas was in all these games until the last quarter, fourth quarter. And then there's a famous shirt, and they did it again this.

This week that people wear in Arkansas says we almost always win.

Yeah, it sucks. But I'm hoping for. I'm hoping for the best. I have a friend that's a really good friend with him, and he was like, great dude. I was like, I'm gonna be honest with you. I don't care how good a dude it is.

He gave me my friend. I hope he's a good dude. That's great and all, but I want to win games. And like, selfishly, like, I've. I've pumped a lot of money into that football program. Not as much as the whales. No doubt about it. I've not put millions in, but I've put hundreds of thousands of dollars into the football program. And to get nothing and to be. To suck. That sucks. Yeah, they. They had a protest.

Yeah, yesterday when they. And it wasn't even really about the new coach. It's about the athletic director.

It's a travesty. All of us is a travesty. But tis my life being an Arkansas fan.

Yeah, it was miserable.

Just looking forward to basketball now.

Yeah, we already. We already are. We have a big game against Louisville on Wednesday, but we're.02 in quad one games because we've. California. To his credit and to the frustration at the same, he has scheduled, like, every top team in college basketball for us to play this year because he believes we're really good. And so, you know, we played Duke and we played him really close on Thanksgiving night.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

In Chicago. They were up by 10 at one point. We went up by 7. They ended up beating us by 7 or 8 at the end. It was just shooting free throws. We. But we played Duke, and then earlier this year, we got. Michigan State is really good.

[Eddie]

They are really good.

[Bobby Bones]

We have Louisville, I think their top five team on Wednesday.

[Kevin]

So I feel like there's a lot of big matchups already, but college basketball has kind of gotten to that.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, you can lose. Yeah, you can lose. Yeah, you just want those Quad one wins. You're trying to get a couple of those.

[Eddie]

Why did they play in Chicago? That wasn't a tournament, was it?

[Bobby Bones]

No, just a holiday classic.

[Eddie]

Okay. I saw a lot of teams playing there.

I turn it on, I'd see the Bulls logo and be like, wait, what?

Were there a lot of teams? I just knew the Arkansas Duke game.

Now, there were like, two or three games there.

Yeah, I didn't know that. So, yeah, it kind of sucks for us as Arkansas fans. Like, we're.

Yeah. So you have nothing. You're. You're indifferent, like, towards football. Towards football, that is. Specifically.

I looked at our record over the last 10 years. We haven't had a conference winning season in 10 years. Our best in conference now. We've had a couple seven and four. You know, when Petrino was there, Sam Pittman had one good year. But we have never had a winning conference. If 500 counts as winning. I think we've had two in 10 years, but we've never been over.500 in conference. It sucks, man. I'm. And I know that when the calendar changes and here comes August. Next year, I'll be fired up again. But I'm. I'm tired, I'm sad. Yeah, I've spent a bunch of money and got nothing back from it.

It's only a Cowboys fan.

Except they don't donate to their team.

I did make a lot of notes, so let's just start going down the notes here. So Lane Kiffin goes to lsu, and I thought that it was. Now, we have seen a bit since, but I thought Lane was super soft after the game when he goes to that reporter who looked like a child, and it's like, you call me a hoe.

Don't call people hoes. That was super soft, Elaine, because he didn't even. I felt like people were like this, this. He was a reporter, a podcast or whatever. Did you guys see him? Yeah, I saw him. He looks like he's 25 years old.

Yeah, I saw his response to it. So did he really call him a hoe?

No. So here's the thing. Kind of, but not really. So Ludacris says, you can't turn a hoe into a housewife because a hoe don't act right. Now, he wasn't really calling Lane a hoe. He was saying that a zebra can't change his stripes. Basically just using a funnier line. It's the same thing.

And he said that about Lane Kiffin. Can't turn a hoe into a housewife, meaning Lane has always left. Lane has always been drama. Lane has won a lot of places, but he's been the same person. Like, you're never surprised by. By what he just did. And so he's like, can't turn a hoe into a housewife. And so that went a bit viral. So Lane Kiffin went up to him after the game with cops surrounding him. So that happens. And I'm like, that's so soft. Elaine Kiffin to do that. Because he had all his cops with him. Like, the cops do surround the head coach.

In the sec, he's doing it and there's a camera around, like, super soft. So then after that, Lane talked about it in the press conference, and then he called the kid and apologized that night.

He did. Okay, so that's not even where it ends. And it's not even about Lane going to lsu. That's the funniest part. Before, maybe right before they had, like, announced it, Lane sent that kid a text message with a picture of him wearing a hat that said hoe on it. So he was admitting he's a hoe.

I was surprised that defensive coordinator is now the head coach. And at first they were like, they're going to take the defense coordinator, make them the interim coach, but it was like, interim head moving on.

Yeah. And they even said before Lane decided what he was going to do, they were like, we have a plan. So they've had this in the plans, which is. I don't know if it's like a. We just got to have a plan and this is a guy we're going to hire or if they actually wanted that.

The. All the students from Ole Miss yelling at Lane on the tarmac with middle fingers when he got on the plane to go to LSU yesterday.

Because if Auburn would have beat Alabama, Ole Miss would have been in the SEC championship game against Georgia next week.

Yeah. And. But the grand scheme of things, it's like, okay, yeah, this is more fun. But when you look at it week to week, it's like, okay, if they lose, they're all right. If they lose, they're okay.

But do you feel like the playoffs in the NFL because it's the same way? Do you feel like it's less exciting because of the playoffs in the NFL? Do you feel like it should just be the best four teams in the NFL play each other in a four way? It doesn't take away from the playoffs to you, does it?

No, it doesn't. But I don't know. Maybe it's a tradition thing for me with college football. I just loved how every single week was just like, this is it. This is the big week. This is a big week. And then the next week could be the biggest week. And then just build up, build up. And then if you lose, it's like, oh, you're done.

I've gotten used to it, but I still loved, like, the crazy upsets that ruined an Alabama season.

You can't lose three games a season like this year and get into the playoff.

Texas will not go in over Vanderbilt even though they beat Vanderbilt and they scheduled harder than Vanderbilt.
