This is a podcast called 25 Whistles. Talking for. And they all wear a whistle.
Kevin
Yeah, it's stupid, but what did you expect? It's a podcast called 25 Whistles.
Eddie
25 Whistles.
Bobby Bones
Hey, everybody. Eddie, blow it. So here's my bets that I made. So I did my three championship bet at Oklahoma City Thunder to win the NBA, which was like minus 600 or something. I don't even know if it was that crazy.
Casey
700, I think.
Bobby Bones
Is that what it was?
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Wow. So I parlayed three, and I have the Thunder, Arkansas Razorbacks to win baseball, and the Chicago Cubs to win the World series. I bet $150 for a payout of $10,971.
Eddie
I love those. So I thought you were doing the Cowboys.
Bobby Bones
No, I never said the Cowboys. I did it last year. I'd bet that by itself independently. So, yeah, Thunder, Arkansas baseball, and Chicago Cubs. And will I cash out if it gets closer to the postseason and I've hit the first two. Possibly.
Eddie
My wife always says it's just $150. Let it ride.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So I also bet she's never said that.
Eddie
No, but. But my. My number's always $1. She's like, it's just a dollar. Let it ride.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but it's not just a dollar if you can cash out for $300.
Eddie
That's what I say.
Bobby Bones
My second bet that I made was just on Arkansas to win the College World series. They're at plus 380. They're number two. I bet a thousand bucks on them. It's basically five grand if they win.
Eddie
It's nice.
Bobby Bones
So I do have my Razorback baseball jersey on. This is literal team jersey.
Casey
That's a cool jersey.
Bobby Bones
It's. Yeah. I think I took it from. I think they gave. I don't know. I think they gave it me to wear because it was one of the actual jersey. Look, it's got the.
Casey
Yeah, no, it's legit.
Eddie
No, it's a little game jersey patch on it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, they gave it to me to wear to something one time and I just never gave it back because I was putting it on this morning and thinking to myself, how do I have this? Cuz it's a. I mean, it's a legit jersey and I think I just never gave it back.
Eddie
That's awesome.
Casey
Is that Velcro?
Bobby Bones
Well, so it buttons, but it also has a velcro spot in the middle for the top part of it.
Casey
Oh.
Eddie
Or is that for the. What if. The what The Astros have.
Bobby Bones
They have something for the communication device. So those are my bets. So. Go thunder. Game one tonight.
Eddie
Game one tonight.
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Go Razorbacks. Which I believe game one is tonight. They play Tennessee and Arkansas. Best of three series, super regional and let's go Cubs. They were 16 over last time I looked, so.
Casey
Yeah, I think they're. I saw. They're the best record in the last like beginning of May or something like that.
Bobby Bones
Totally unexpected. Yeah, it's awesome. Pete Crowe. Armstrong is amazing.
Casey
Are you truly enjoying it? Because I know with baseball, like, you're like, oh, great month. And you're like. But there's. No, no, that's how I look at things with baseball.
Bobby Bones
I'm enjoying it and I watch sections of a lot of games. I won't even say most games, but I'm enjoying it. But man, it's. It's May, June. It's hard.
Casey
It's hard.
Bobby Bones
One, I've been let down so many times in my life in so many ways. I've also been let down so many times by the Cubs and also baseball. Not always indicative of how it's going to end, how it's going to start. Because that body is so big. It's 162 games.
Eddie
Do you have the. The extra innings pass?
Bobby Bones
I'm glad you asked. Ev Major League Sunday ticket.
Eddie
That's it. Yeah, that's. That's the name I was looking for. Yeah. So, yeah, I do it sound.
Brandon
It sounded real.
Bobby Bones
I have all of those. So there's that. So we're starting there. I do want to mention a couple personal things. One, our guy Reid got married last night and we're all here now. We're all in Oregon. We flew up, surprised him.
Eddie
It was beautiful.
Bobby Bones
It was awesome. And so we're doing the show from.
Eddie
Oregon in the forest.
Bobby Bones
It was scenic. We're talking into limbs right now. Yes, these Aren't even microphones.
Casey
I think. Yeah. There's some weird animals out here.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah. We did not go. I. I do feel a little guilty.
Eddie
For not being there.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, sure.
Brandon
It looked beautiful.
Eddie
I did, too, a little bit.
Bobby Bones
Wait, you saw pictures of it?
Brandon
I saw a picture, yeah. On. Check out Reed's Instagram.
Bobby Bones
I saw leading up to it. I didn't see a picture of the wedding.
Brandon
I saw one like a half hour ago with Reed and Addie. Like, on the dance floor. We finally did it.
Bobby Bones
No, we finally did it. I see one of Reed at Reed Yarberry says last night before forever.
Eddie
Yes, that's the one with him and his fiance.
Bobby Bones
But that's the night before.
Brandon
Yeah. All right, well, maybe I got it mixed up.
Bobby Bones
Maybe it's a story. Hold on. I'm on his feed.
Casey
Yeah, I think he's on a story.
Bobby Bones
Loading the yarberries. Oh, that's Reed saying him and her are gonna get married. But it's four dudes. All those dudes getting married. It's all those groomsmen.
Eddie
That's stone and.
Bobby Bones
Oh, and they are. They're hugging. It says long time coming and they're hugging.
Brandon
Yeah, that's the one.
Bobby Bones
I'm at the altar. Do then they not kiss? They need it any year in before they get the first kiss.
Eddie
Dang, dude.
Brandon
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
I think today they fly for their honeymoon. Should we just try to call them? Just.
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Or. Or should we just let them live?
Casey
No, hold on.
Eddie
Is that smoke?
Bobby Bones
That's what I'm saying. Yes. It looks like almost smoke on the water. Wow.
Tom Yamas
They'll be so happy to see the.
Bobby Bones
Call video of them dancing.
Casey
There's a lot of smoke.
Bobby Bones
There's a. I don't see a video of them dancing. I tapp into the person who he reposted and watched his story. There's a video of them dancing.
Eddie
There we go.
Bobby Bones
Okay, let's. Let's FaceTime him, see if he answers.
Eddie
That's so awesome.
Bobby Bones
He may be on a plane.
Brandon
Smoke on the wall.
Bobby Bones
The problem with FaceTiming is I got to hold the phone so close to my face.
Eddie
Why?
Bobby Bones
Well, it's got to be near a microphone.
Eddie
The struggle is real.
Bobby Bones
I'm going to turn this off. I know. It's already rang three times, so it's going to be super obnoxious. Okay, here we go. See if read answers.
Eddie
What if they're honeymooning?
Bobby Bones
I mean, right now?
Eddie
Well, you never know, dude.
Bobby Bones
At noon, the day after, the day after. Think about getting married.
Eddie
You're tired after everything yeah, Especially all that travel.
Bobby Bones
Exhausting. Yeah. Just to get out to the wedding.
Casey
Yeah.
Eddie
That smoke on the ground looks awesome.
Casey
It does look cool.
Bobby Bones
Until we learn you breach tree. Until we learn something caught on fire.
Eddie
That's what the.
Bobby Bones
Hey, buddy, congratulations. We drove around forever trying to find the venue last night.
Eddie
We still can't find it.
Casey
Help. Help. We're looking for smoke.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay, bye. So no Reed. Okay, well, we can call New Reed.
Eddie
What's New Reed?
Bobby Bones
Brandon.
Eddie
That's funny.
Brandon
He's Reed Jr. On my phone.
Bobby Bones
Brandon's supposed to be here, but Brandon hit us up. I was like, I got to the emergency room.
Eddie
So that what he said. I didn't see that part.
Bobby Bones
Last text was, let's see if he answers.
Eddie
Oh, Brandon.
Reed
Hey, buddy.
Bobby Bones
Hey. So you're on right now. Just so you know. You're on. You're being recorded.
Reed
Okay. Okay.
Bobby Bones
What. What happened?
Reed
So I was heading in to the.
Bobby Bones
To the.
Reed
To Iheart, and I was kind of like, moaning. I'm like, what. What is wrong with me? Like, if my My head was hurting, I just like, dude, I don't know if I need to. I don't even know if I need to, like, stop and go to the bathroom or something. So I pull into the parking garage, and literally the first spot I see, I just whip in there, I open the door and I just throw up like, seven times.
Eddie
And.
Reed
And then I'm like, okay, okay. I'm gonna get out of these restricted spots. It's probably, like, Mr. Iheart himself.
Bobby Bones
Oh, Reed's calling. Gotta hang out. Here he is.
Tom Brokaw
Oh, yeah, baby.
Bobby Bones
Wow. We just hung up. We just hung up on somebody for you. We were doing an interview with somebody else and we. L bailed on them to talk to you.
Tom Brokaw
See, that's why I love you guys, man.
Bobby Bones
Wow. Tell us about it. Tell us about the wedding.
Tom Brokaw
Oh, dude, I may be a little biased, but it's. It was, like, the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen or been to or been a part of.
Bobby Bones
Good answer. The only one you been a part of. Good answer. It's.
Tom Brokaw
It's the only one I've been a part of. But it was immaculate, dude. The weather was perfect. The only thing that was a little iffy was, like, taking photos of stuff down on the beach. Dude, that sand and wind, like, will get in every part of your body.
Bobby Bones
Oh, not cold. You mean, like, in your cracks?
Tom Brokaw
No, I mean, it was cold, but also in your crack.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So it was intense. Did everybody make it there? That was trying to make it there?
Tom Brokaw
Yeah, everyone made it there. Everyone's on time. My freaking parents drove an RV and somehow made it one of. One of Maddie's cousins. Like, he drove like a old RV van and he broke down in Wyoming, but he got picked up and made. His van is still in Wyoming somewhere.
Bobby Bones
Really? So what time did the wedding start?
Tom Brokaw
4:30 is when I started.
Bobby Bones
And then. So you got married. How. How quick was the actual wedding ceremony?
Tom Brokaw
It was about 30 minutes and it wasn't bad.
Bobby Bones
Did you do your own vows?
Tom Brokaw
We didn't do our own vows. I said a prayer, which that was like the only thing I was nervous about.
Bobby Bones
But that's kind of. That's kind of your own vow, to be honest. If you're saying a prayer, that's things that you are wanting to say. Like that's. That's guided by your brain, your heart, your feelings. I would say that you. That. That's kind of a vow.
Tom Brokaw
Yeah, no, 100%. And like the morning of the wedding, like my two groomsmen and like her friends and stuff went out to eat and I went down to the beach and, you know, got a little Jesus in and just thinking about what I'm gonna say and all that. So it turned out amazing.
Bobby Bones
And so you have the ceremony, then you do a reception. How far was the reception from where the ceremony was?
Tom Brokaw
Everything was like, like two to three minutes away from each other. But it's just like, it's like driving down hills and going across and then up another hill and then you're at another spot.
Kevin
So.
Bobby Bones
And what did you guys do for entertainment there?
Tom Brokaw
We had a dj.
Eddie
We had.
Tom Brokaw
Let's see, what do we have? We had like 14 send offs. I don't know why you need that.
Bobby Bones
Many send offs, but I don't know what that means.
Tom Brokaw
Like the send offs, where you're like, you're going through the tunnel and everyone's.
Casey
Like, yay, flowers and stuff, like saying bye.
Bobby Bones
How'd you have 14?
Casey
Yeah.
Tom Brokaw
Well, we did a send off to go take photo, sunset photos, and then we did another send off coming back.
Bobby Bones
That's a welcome back. That's not a send off, that's a comeback.
Tom Brokaw
Did we do an actual send off too?
Bobby Bones
No, we just left.
Eddie
Oh, there's the Brian.
Tom Brokaw
We just actually left.
Bobby Bones
There she is. There's Ms. Yarberry.
Eddie
That's Bobby.
Bobby Bones
He's in trouble. He's in trouble already. Hey, welcome to. Welcome to Mary Live, buddy.
Eddie
I can't wait, man.
Bobby Bones
I love it. So wait, what's the deal now? Are you guys on the way somewhere. Yeah.
Tom Brokaw
So we are. We're packing up. We're back at where her parents are staying, and we're kind of reevaluating luggage. And then we've got 5 hour drive back to Portland, we're gonna drop the marriage license off, the tux off all that stuff, and then we fly out at like, 9:50.
Bobby Bones
Tonight?
Tom Brokaw
Yeah, tonight.
Bobby Bones
How long is the flight?
Tom Brokaw
It's like six. No, it's like five and a half hours. We fly from. From Portland to Charlotte and then from Charlotte to St. Lucia.
Eddie
St. Lucia.
Bobby Bones
That long? Portland, east coast. It's a long one.
Eddie
Hey, Reed.
Tom Brokaw
Oh, yeah, Maddie also said it's Dr. Yard, by the way.
Brandon
Oh, Doctor.
Bobby Bones
Hey, what's Doc. Hey, it's Dr. Bones, too, then. I ain't getting called that. We're enforcing that rule, that. Good point. Good point. Eddie. What?
Eddie
Reed, in St. Lucia, are you getting one of those little rooms on the water?
Tom Brokaw
Oh, like the little, like, hut thing? Yeah, it's not like that. It is beach. It is beachfront, though, so it is one that you can step outside and you're on the beach.
Eddie
It's awesome.
Bobby Bones
Okay, well, Private Butler.
Eddie
It's freaking Private Butler.
Tom Brokaw
Fancy.
Bobby Bones
We will let you get back to being married. We did not think you would answer. Eddie, go ahead.
Eddie
Yeah, one more question about the smoke. What was the smoke on the ground? Dude, that looked amazing.
Tom Brokaw
Dude, that was insane. He was like, back there, like. Like just hitting stuff with his feet.
Bobby Bones
Making it all go.
Tom Brokaw
It was nuts.
Bobby Bones
He was like. That was insane. There was a short, and then all of a sudden, we knew we had 30 seconds before the extinguisher. Literally.
Tom Brokaw
Dude, it was like every. Every package he offered, we were like.
Bobby Bones
Okay, yep, we'll take. We'll take the smoke.
Tom Brokaw
We'll take Sparks.
Bobby Bones
And. So how long is your honeymoon? When do you come back?
Tom Brokaw
I'll be back on the 13th.
Bobby Bones
We will not call you. We will not call you on your honeymoon.
Tom Brokaw
I mean, I might answer.
Bobby Bones
No, don't.
Tom Brokaw
It's worth a shot, you know, don't. Just me just hear, hear the ocean wind in the background.
Bobby Bones
Nope, nope. Not gonna do it. It's like when Kevin was like. Kevin was like, hey, I'll do. I'll work when I take leave for my twins. I was like, nope, no, you're not.
Casey
They didn't do it read. So don't expect.
Bobby Bones
We're not gonna call you. All right, buddy? We love you. Congratulations. Wish we could have been there. And you and. And Dr. Yarberry have a great rest of the Life. No, I don't say rest of the life.
Eddie
Why? They're married.
Bobby Bones
Have a good life. I hope this. From this moment forward, there's nothing but prosperity.
Tom Brokaw
Well, thank you, man. I love you guys. I appreciate y' all.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Yeah, I'll talk to you soon, buddy. All right. See ya. Okay. Let's call Brandon back.
Eddie
Yeah, that was kind of rude.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I ran. I ran hard on Brandon, but it.
Eddie
Was just sad because Brandon was there. Oh.
Casey
Oh, no way.
Bobby Bones
He was on the hold that whole time. Brandon, you still there?
Reed
How was the wedding?
Bobby Bones
No, Brandon waited. On hold. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry about that. Reed was just calling us back. You know, we had to. We had to prioritize. Old read or new read. And we went with old. Reed.
Reed
Oh, 100.
Bobby Bones
Okay. So what happened to you?
Reed
Oh, man. So, you know, threw up the first time. I was like, man, I gotta get out of these restricted spots. And so I pulled into another spot, opened the door, and did the same thing.
Bobby Bones
So there's vomit spots in the garage?
Reed
Yeah, yeah, I. And I even took pictures of them because I needed proof.
Bobby Bones
Don't send those. Yeah, just.
Reed
Yeah, I'm sending them.
Bobby Bones
Right? No, no, no, no. We'll pass. I'll send them to. Only to Eddie.
Eddie
No, we're good.
Bobby Bones
So what did you eat? Or do you have a stomach bug or what's the deal?
Reed
So figured it out. I ate old eggs. I didn't realize these eggs were expired in our refrigerator. And I'm texting my wife, and her mom's in town. She's like, wait, did he eat the ones at the bottom, like, the. The middle drawer? And I was like, oh, yeah. She was like, oh, yeah. We were supposed to throw those away. And so right when she said that, I was. I was kind of, like, pulling off on an exit. So I went to a chick fil A and went to the bathroom there, and there was somebody using the. The stall as I was just standing at the urinal, like, just praying he would. He would stop so I could get in there, you know?
Bobby Bones
And how do you feel now if it's food poisoning? For me and my very. Because I have a really weak stomach for different things. Once I get it all out, I'm 93% better within, like, 10 minutes. Unless it's, like, an actual bug. How. Where do you fall on that spectrum?
Reed
That's kind of where I'm at. I was looking it up, like, if you eat old eggs, like, you'd have salmonella or whatever. And so I've just been, like, pounding Water. And I actually, like. I feel I'm feeling better.
Eddie
Okay, good. Because we're working out of three.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I don't know if I'd encourage.
Eddie
Hey, look, it's too much.
Bobby Bones
Here's. Well, old Reed. What we do with him was he would. He'd be like, I ate salmon and I threw up. But he'd say that in the middle of the workout. And I'd have a talk with him. Not during a workout. And I said, hey, man, if there's ever anything that's going to keep you from working out, just don't work out. Because the last thing anybody wants to hear is anybody whining about why they're working out during the workout. I said, so if you ate bad salmon, just, hey, guys, not feeling great, not going to make it. We would never say anything. We're constantly hurt or sick or lazy or insert any of the. But to show up like Reedwood. I know it's 20 minutes in, but I'd say it's some weird salmon. It had curry. And we're like, dude, why. Why did you not work out at all? I just thought you guys would judge me if I didn't. And we're like, no, just don't whine about it.
Reed
So just like Reed, man.
Eddie
Yeah.
Casey
So Brandon knows. He just doesn't show up, which is good. Like, in the studio.
Bobby Bones
Absolutely. If you're sick.
Casey
Because Reed would show up. I just threw up.
Bobby Bones
I. I literally threw up outside the door and haven't even cleaned it up yet. I just blew up the toilet. But I'm here, so you're. You're still welcome to work out if you want, but do not feel like you need to or that even you should. So we'll leave that up to you.
Reed
Hey, I appreciate that. I'll see how I feel and. And come over if I'm feeling better. But I. I won't. I won't do it if. If I'm not.
Bobby Bones
And the rule is if you do do it, you can't talk about it.
Eddie
Yeah. And just do it full.
Reed
Oh, I would never talk about it.
Bobby Bones
There you go. Okay, buddy. Feel better. All right.
Reed
Have a great show, guys.
Bobby Bones
All right, Bye. Bye. Man, we got you. Talk about big guests.
Eddie
Two Good.
Bobby Bones
We got old read and new reading back to back. I mean, who.
Eddie
Who can say they got that in there?
Bobby Bones
Unless we fire new Reading. Get a newer read.
Brandon
The third.
Casey
The third.
Bobby Bones

Hey, there's a 17 year old kid who has qualified for the US Open. The literal US Open, not a qualifier. Because sometimes you do littler to get in the middle to get in the big. A 17 year old high school golfer put on a performance for the ages, according to Larry Brown sports, and ended up qualifying for the US Open. Mason Howell, a junior high school junior.
Eddie
Let's go, Mason.
Casey
Jeez.
Bobby Bones
He played 36 holes in a day at a qualifying event at Piedmont Driving club in Atlanta, Georgia. He carded 63 in both rounds for a final score of minus 18, landing him one of the five available US Open spots.
Eddie
Bro. Let's go.
Bobby Bones
17 year old playing in a major. His final scorecard shows nine birdies in both rounds, no bogeys. The U.S. open is a PGA Tour, third major. How about that?
Casey
That's wild.
Eddie
Awesome.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I'm rooting for him. I'd love to just see him up on the board somewhere.
Eddie
Hey, let's just try. Yeah. Try to not get cut.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
You know.
Bobby Bones
Well, that's, that's number two is.
Brandon
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Try to not get cut.
Eddie
Awesome.
Bobby Bones
It'd be tough for me if I'm an amateur, if I were to make the cut. Let's say I finished like 19th. And you're gonna make $319,000 finishing 19th, but it ruins your amateur status. I think I'd be like, I'm pro.
Eddie
You. Yeah. At that moment.
Bobby Bones
And it'd be a bad decision for $319,000 to throw away all of your.
Eddie
But you're also 17.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I'd be like, I'd be like, yeah, I can get a PlayStation 5.
Eddie
That's right.
Casey
In that moment, you.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Like I would just do it before I even told anybody I would just sign whatever it was to get.
Eddie
The check, and you'd probably get invited to play the next U.S. open.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
You finish.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I think if you win it, you do get to come back.
Eddie
Guaranteed. Guaranteed if you win it. For sure. But I think to be invited back, there's a certain point that if you pass that you get invited back.
Bobby Bones
That's interesting. I don't know what that number is.
Eddie
So we're going pro, baby.
Bobby Bones
That would be awesome. Just to have the two greatest days and then get in. Would you want to. Come on, Eddie.
Eddie
Yep.
Bobby Bones
Let's say they gave you an exemption and you get to play the US Open.
Eddie
Yep.
Bobby Bones
Would you go and play it and. But you couldn't be like, this is Eddie. That sucks. And it's on television and you have to play from the back tees. Would you go and still play it?
Eddie
Yes. Yes, 100%.
Bobby Bones
You would hold it up so much.
Eddie
And I would be. I'd hold it up. I'd be looking for my ball.
Bobby Bones
Well, you wouldn't need to as much because there's people.
Eddie
Spotters.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, no, just. Just people in the galleries.
Eddie
My drive would 100% be 150 yards behind everyone else. Be like, hold on, guys. Eddie's first again.
Ryan Seacrest
Where's Eddie?
Bobby Bones
So you would play it, though?
Eddie
Dude, that'd be the best two days of my life. Two days. Because I definitely wouldn't make the cut.
Bobby Bones
That would be crazy.
Eddie
Would you do it?
Bobby Bones
I don't think so.
Eddie
Why not?
Bobby Bones
Because if I couldn't be the jokester and be like, yeah, I know. I think I would. I would eventually just kind of be embarrassed.
Casey
Yeah. First couple holes would be funny enough that you're like.
Bobby Bones
Because nobody else gets to be in on the joke. If people got to be in on the joke, I'm in, like, yep, I suck. And that's Jordan Speed. But if they can't be, everybody would be irritated at me. All the golfers, the fans. You couldn't tell anybody that.
Eddie
I know. But for the rest of your life, you say, I played the US Open.
Bobby Bones
And then people would YouTube that crap.
Casey
You would go viral for sure.
Bobby Bones
I was watching game one of the championship series in softball. If you allow me, two minutes. Because it's wild what happened. So it's like 00 through 5 or whatever, and Texas Tech and Texas are playing for the championship. First time. Oklahoma hasn't won it in five years. First time. They haven't even been in the championship game. It's crazy. So Texas Tech has a Pitcher that's paid a million dollars. We talked about her.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
First million dollar athlete in softball. She is dominating. It's 00. Texas ends up giving up a run to Texas Tech in like, the six. I'm a little loose with this. It goes down to the final inning and Texas ends up winning the game. But they won because Texas Tech was intentionally walking somebody. And she couldn't intentionally walk her. Right.
Eddie
She was this the same pitcher?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. It's like she's so good, she couldn't throw a ball.
Eddie
No.
Bobby Bones
So the catcher intentionally walk, would get up, but still stay behind the plate. And they would throw the pitches high. Instead of like in baseball, the catcher puts his arm out to give the pitcher something to aim to. And then as they throw, they scoot out and they catch it out there.
Eddie
And they can't do that in softball.
Bobby Bones
And last night, she would just stood up tall and she threw the first one and intentional. And it was high. And she let it go. Okay, you see the wheel start to turn. She rips it. Maybe not the next one, but the one after that. She gets a base hit, wins the game.
Eddie
Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
On an intentional walk pitch, was it.
Eddie
Also a high pitch?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Okay, but it wasn't.
Bobby Bones
But no, no, no. Yes, but no. She stood up and it was a little higher, but it was a little lower than it should have been, even if you're throwing it high. Did you see the pitch, Casey?
Brandon
No, I haven't.
Bobby Bones
It was almost a strike. And she noticed it was happening and that these intentional pitches weren't as far outside or as high as they should be. Kevin, if you watch it.
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You're gonna go, wow, that was so close to the strike zone.
Casey
Gotta watch his ad first. Sorry.
Eddie
30 seconds.
Bobby Bones
And that's all the softball talk I'll do.
Eddie
But where are we now?
Bobby Bones
Are they the best of three series for the championship?
Eddie
Got it.
Bobby Bones
Got. Texas has lost two times in the last few years to Oklahoma.
Casey
It was only one and nothing, too.
Bobby Bones
It was only one to nothing. Watch her hit the ball.
Casey
Okay. They just showed one. So here's. And it really wasn't that high the first one.
Bobby Bones
Right. But the catcher did stand up. It wasn't that high.
Casey
Yeah, I think the hitter, like, knew right? Then, like, oh, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And then the girl. Okay. Oh, second one. That's right at her letters, man. Dude, it is right at her letters.
Bobby Bones
It's like borderline. It could be a. It might be a slight ball, but it's high. But it is right there, man.
Brandon
Why did she not just pitch outside. I don't get it.
Bobby Bones
I don't know. I don't. I don't know.
Casey
Third one. There was a third one. That was the highest one so far.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Casey
That was up and out. Definitely a ball. So she got to the fourth. Here's the fourth one coming. Oh, my God. It was a grounder, too.
Bobby Bones
Like, too short. Wow. Like between short and third, I think.
Casey
Yep, Yep, exactly.
Bobby Bones
Dang. She pulled it between short and 30.
Eddie
That's crazy.
Casey
I thought. I thought for sure she hit like a line drive or something in the gap. No, she was a grounder. And the girls. But a second.
Bobby Bones
The girls in the infield are like, we're intentionally walking.
Brandon
They're not paying attention.
Casey
Yeah, because. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Why would you. Why would you be down? Ready? And they were kind of ready, but you're intentionally walking someone. They're not gonna hit the ball. It's crazy, huh?
Casey
Dang, that hurts. It's the best of three, right?
Bobby Bones
It is best of three.
Casey
But that's like a blow.
Bobby Bones
I mean, so they'll play again today.
Casey
How do you recover from that?
Brandon
That's like, game race.
Bobby Bones
Texas Tech wins. Yeah. Yeah, please. Texas Tech.
Eddie
Oh, because you don't like Texas.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I forgot to tell you guys. I hate Texas.
Eddie
No, we remember.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Like, I. I couldn't root any harder for Texas Tech. I don't. I don't dislike Texas Tech. I don't like Texas Tech, but I don't dislike them. I don't have a relationship with them. It's how people feel about Arkansas. Like, we don't win enough to annoy people. Texas Tech doesn't win enough to annoy people. Sure, but they don't lose all the time either. So you don't feel sorry for them. It's not, like, removed the last couple years. Not like Vanderbilt football, you know, or even Kentucky football before. The last couple years, before Stoops got over there and made it respectable program. But, yeah, there you go. Crazy, crazy, crazy way to end.
Casey
That sucks.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So I watched it up until. Almost all of it, up until Tech scored their run because there was a whole interference play, too, which Tech got lucky on the call. They did review it, like, obstruction, and then I turned it off because I'm like, oh, this is over. She doesn't give up runs.
Eddie
Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
And then I see Texas score two runs, and I pop it on and just watch the highlights, and that's exactly what happened.
Casey
That's brutal.
Bobby Bones
There's recommended ages for men to stop doing specific things. Would you like to Hear them?
Eddie
Yeah.
Brandon
Yes.
Eddie
It's a recommendation, though. We don't have to do anything.
Bobby Bones
I'll give you what it is and you tell me what, what you, Eddie, the age you think it should happen.
Eddie
Love it.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so at Alpha M, they compiled a list of some of these very things, and they've attached an age where it's time the guy stops doing it. Number one, living with your parents.
Eddie
Oh.
Bobby Bones
Or should I just say, what year did you stop? Did you stop? I don't want to do that because then it's him not playing a character or what he thinks is the best version.
Eddie
Not a character. It's what I think.
Bobby Bones
No, no, you do. You living with your parents. When did you stop living with your parents?
Eddie
Age 22.
Bobby Bones
You moved out 22?
Eddie
Yeah. I went to college when I was 22 because I went to the local college first, stayed in town, live with my parents.
Casey
Wait, for four years you're at community college?
Eddie
Yes, four years.
Casey
And then you went to university. Oh, wow.
Eddie
I was working. I was doing job at the new station, going to school, happening off part time.
Casey
Okay.
Eddie
Did that for four years, then finished two years, Sam Houston State.
Bobby Bones
So you did six years of college.
Eddie
Yeah, man. Six years.
Bobby Bones
So you lived there 24.
Eddie
Yeah. Did I say 20? I said 22.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah.
Eddie
But if you graduated high school, 18, 19, 20, 20. Yeah, I went to college 22.
Bobby Bones
But you just said you did six years of college. Yes, that'd be 24 if you spent all six years.
Eddie
I graduate. Well, yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
So you lived at home until 24. Where did you.
Eddie
24 years old. Yeah, I lived at home till I was 24. But I mean, my parents are very cool.
Bobby Bones
No, I hear you. I'm just saying you tried to get away with one there.
Eddie
Yeah, 24. No, I just forgot. Dude, it's been a long time.
Bobby Bones
How long did you live?
Casey
I was 23 when I got back from college.
Eddie
One year.
Casey
But I'm not lying. I went to call. I went to community college for three.
Eddie
I wasn't lying. I was trying to remember.
Casey
Yeah. And then I went to university and came back and live on my own.
Bobby Bones
I was 17. Dang.
Eddie
Yeah. He had to go.
Bobby Bones
Gotta go.
Eddie
Didn't you tell your. And you say, like, they didn't know.
Bobby Bones
Where I was going to college till the day before I left.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And I was like, hey, guys, I'm going to college. And he just walked out the door. And. Yeah. My mom was like, really? I was like, yeah. I said, I'm going. I'll be living like, two hours away. All right, cool. When are you leaving? Tomorrow. Okay.
Eddie
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
And that was it.
Eddie
That's like, Rudy backed up.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I mean, I had, like, three things, packed up a few clothes, and went and lived in the dorm.
Eddie
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. 25, they say.
Brandon
Oh, okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Recommended age you got to stop doing.
Eddie
That's what we're all in. We're all in the wheelhouse.
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
That 25 seems old for that.
Eddie
It is, man. I want all my kids out. 18. Done.
Casey
But, like, do you count? I know plenty of people that moved out at, say, 18, 19, 20, and then moved back in maybe when they were 22, 23 for a couple years. Because they're like, oh, I don't know.
Bobby Bones
If I could do this, Actually, I think that's fine. Because you have intentions of doing it yourself. And if there's a struggle and you need assistance, I think it's okay to move back home and receive assistance from your parents.
Ryan Seacrest
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I think if you stay for more than a couple years, it's no longer assistance. That's just you enjoying the stability.
Eddie
And I wonder if the parents like that. Like, I know parents like to have their kids around, but move back in? I don't think so.
Bobby Bones
Maybe. I don't. I don't know. I, like.
Eddie
I don't want my kids moving back.
Bobby Bones
In until they're all gone, dude.
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You don't know that.
Eddie
And I might change. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And maybe some of them you want to move back in. Some of them you want to be gone.
Eddie
That's a good point, too.
Bobby Bones
And it's not because you love them any more or less, but some are.
Eddie
Just easier than others.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. 25. Unless you're attending school, caring for your parents, or another valid reason, taking money from your parents. At what age did you stop doing that fully, Eddie? I'm 40 now, remember? I know a lot about you.
Eddie
I know you do.
Bobby Bones
So I had to call you out.
Casey
I know a lot about taking money.
Eddie
Define taking money.
Bobby Bones
Any help at all. Any assistance from your parents.
Eddie
So, like, if my dad gave me.
Bobby Bones
His car, that would count as. But if he gave it to you just once, the last thing he gave you would count as that. If it were like a lump gift. Like a gift. Give.
Eddie
But I was paying on the car, so I took over the payments. But he gave me the car.
Bobby Bones
So I'd say that. But I would say that's a lump gift. That since you are going to pay, that lump gift is when he gives you the car, not the entire Duration of having the car because then you're paying on it.
Eddie
I like it. When did we move here?
Bobby Bones
Thirteen.
Eddie
Okay. So yeah, 2013. I'd say a year after we moved here. That's when I cut.
Bobby Bones
So around age 35?
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Kevin.
Casey
Yeah. Last year when I bought my house, they helped me with down payment.
Bobby Bones
How old are you?
Casey
34. So I was 33 at the time.
Bobby Bones
You're Edge and Eddie on all these?
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Just barely me.
Eddie
It's weird.
Bobby Bones
14.
Eddie
Oh, man.
Casey
So this makes me feel like a spoiled child.
Bobby Bones
No, you guys are good.
Eddie
But you would have taken it if it was available for you?
Bobby Bones
Absolutely.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Of course. I'm not hating on anybody for taking it. You are your environment. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I wish I had it. I'm resentful that I didn't question for Kevin.
Eddie
Did you ask for it or was it given to you?
Casey
No, they gave it to me. Yeah, they said like we've been saving for this. Like we've wanted to do this.
Bobby Bones
Here's one that I will not look that good. Video games.
Eddie
I mean, when did you stop playing them?
Bobby Bones
This morning. And I haven't stopped. The last time I played was this morning. Now I don't. It doesn't matter what I don't do because it's the same. If you play, you play. I don't get online and play with people I don't know. I don't even play online at all right now. I do have pga. I've been playing that a little bit. It's what I do if I wake up at 2 in the morning. It's my separator, like to get my brain to stop, you know, being crazy.
Eddie
So there's. There's a difference though. Like you're a gamer.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I play. I play PlayStation.
Eddie
Yeah, you're a gamer.
Bobby Bones
I played three games, mostly one game, which is football. So either Madden or college? Well, it depends. This last year was all college, no Madden. But it's been Madden in the past. I got on a big 2K kick.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
In the last couple of months, played no football. Just fired up PGA because I'm bored with basketball. Because I guess because basketball's over too. I mean, it's a final.
Eddie
We're pretty much done football.
Casey
I'm ready for football.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Video games. So still currently. Yeah.
Eddie
I mean, I played my son last week.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
So.
Casey
Yeah, I don't know, maybe 10 years ago.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
So what's your age?
Casey
34.
Bobby Bones
They say 24 is about the time you should stop.
Casey
There we go.
Eddie
Nailed It.
Casey
There we go.
Bobby Bones
But I think that's unfair because I think gaming has turned from just playing Atari and Donkey Kong for just recreational. To people actually, like, can make a career off this.
Eddie
If you're good, you're making a career.
Bobby Bones
I'm not, but I know somebody that plays. I'm an idiot. I'm a dope. Like, I'm somebody they're talking to. I'm a dope. Yeah, that's true. Yes.
Casey
He plays for the Nets team. They have, like, a team.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. They draft real players.
Casey
Yeah. And he, like, flies back there for the season and plays and gets paid a bunch of money.
Eddie
Well, there's a period where I couldn't play because I had a family, you know, like a family.
Bobby Bones
And you still have a family.
Eddie
No, but I can play with my kids, though. I know, but you know what I mean. Like.
Bobby Bones
But even then with babies, like, Kevin.
Eddie
Can'T play with his babies.
Bobby Bones
I remind you, I know too much about you. Because there was a time when Eddie had babies and you'd hear a baby crying in the background. Be like, hold on. Pause it.
Casey
You literally just said last week.
Bobby Bones
Yes, he would say pause it. Or he'd play holding the baby. Like, he'd have the baby on him.
Eddie
That was my thing.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
I'd hold the baby right there with a killer.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So there really wasn't an era of no playing. Just strategically different playing.
Eddie
You're right.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Partying.
Eddie
Define partying.
Bobby Bones
It says, to be clear, everybody loves a good party. But the days of making it an every other weekend type thing should probably be done by the time you're blank. I'll give you their age. But when did you stop partying? So let's say twice a month. Drinking more than four beers in a setting.
Eddie
I mean, partying, dude. When we hit the road, I would party. I would say I stopped at 4.
Casey
40, 40 three weeks ago when I had the kids.
Eddie
Yeah, but you're not just right now.
Casey
No, I'm not done. I'm ready to go.
Bobby Bones
You're like me with video games this morning. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For me, the day I was infant, never. Day I was born. Yeah.
Casey
Came out the womb.
Bobby Bones
Financial responsibility. That's kind of a different one. Hooking up. We're all married.
Eddie
When should you stop hooking up?
Casey
Let's not do that.
Bobby Bones
Okay, here's one I'm not gonna fare well at.
Eddie
Come on.
Bobby Bones
Dressing like a teenager.
Eddie
Okay. I think you should, like, jerseys and stuff.
Bobby Bones
Like, as I have one on. To be fair, I put this on for this Specifically at Sideways. Go ahead.
Eddie
I say, when did I stop doing it? I mean, I was dressed. I dressed not like a teenager, like, ever, really. So I would say 25.
Bobby Bones
Kevin. Yeah.
Casey
I mean, maybe late 20s, 30. But then you don't really start until you get a female in your life that, like, tells you, like, hey, this is a good way to dress. Then you're like, okay, agree. But I don't know if I was dressing a teenager before, but I definitely am dressing better now.
Bobby Bones
I think that's probably a better way to describe it. Like, immaturely dressing.
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Instead of like a teenager, because I don't dress like a teenager. But it's like, I have a job in the creative world, and I wear what works in that space. Sure, I definitely have a uniformish now, but I used to just wear hoodies and pajamas and whatever I wanted because I never had to do anything else.
Eddie
And what age was that?
Bobby Bones
Well, yesterday. I mean, I still can. There's no judgment on what I wear because I work in a creative space. So, yeah, that one I lose on big time. See if we do one more. Waiting for the perfect timing.
Eddie
What does that mean?
Bobby Bones
It's like, when did you decide? There really isn't a perfect timing for anything. Let's just go and do it.
Eddie
Are you insinuating, like, a marriage Marriage?
Bobby Bones
Have a kid, make a big job, choice?
Eddie
Kid Wasn't planned.
Bobby Bones
I think a lot aren't.
Eddie
The. The wedding for me, was it? I. I'd say, and I got married at 29. Yeah, 28. 29. That's.
Bobby Bones
That's what you'd say.
Eddie
That's my age, where I was just.
Bobby Bones
Like, yeah, you, Kevin.
Casey
When I moved to Nashville four years ago, when I was just like, oh, I can wait until this and this and my money's right and this and that. And I was like, you know what? Dropped everything and left and came here.
Bobby Bones
That's a weird question. I don't think I ever waited for the perfect timing. There were things I thought would never happen. I never thought I would get married just because I never saw, like, a successful marriage. Like, as I didn't have a model of that growing up. And then I never just met anybody. I was like, I'm not sacrificing anything for these broads.
Eddie
As some people would say.
Bobby Bones
Our uncles would say. Yeah. So never in my mind until I met my wife did I think that there would be a human that would make me at least want to sacrifice part of what I was doing professionally for that other human. So I never waited I just never thought it would happen. So I was like, oh, I'll never get married. And I didn't think I would ever have a kid. And we're not waiting for any perfect timing for that either. We'll eventually have kids. But I don't know that I've ever waited on timing for anything. Because I've always felt like I could do whatever I wanted, whenever I want, even as a kid. And it's like, wah, wah, wah. But I always felt like the world was completely bendable and I was two good decisions away from something awesome happening. Two good strategic decisions and a bunch of healthy choices away from something awesome happening.
Eddie
Wow, that's cool.
Bobby Bones
And so, yeah, perfect timing. Not a thing. Because I always felt like I could be quicker than even the timing told me. On the positive side of it, more than. And if you wait too long, you know that. You ever see Idiocracy?
Casey
No.
Bobby Bones
So Idiocracy? Yeah, it's a Mike Judge movie. And the whole point of Idiocracy is all the idiots are having a million kids and all the people that are waiting for the perfect timing, like the really educated, worldly people, like, we're gonna wait till the perfect moment. But what happens is because there are so many idiots having all these idiotic kids, they end up taking over the world. And all the really educational. There's like four kids for educated children, because everybody waited for perfect timing.
Casey
That's got a great cast.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Super famous. The movie. Yeah. Concept is awesome.
Eddie
Mike Judge is awesome.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay. Thanks for playing along, guys.
Eddie
Yeah, that was good. Thanks for putting us on front street.
Bobby Bones
I put myself there.
Eddie
Yeah. All of us.
Bobby Bones
Shaq revealed his NBA all time goat list. Before I read you his, just give me your top three NBA players of all time.
Eddie
Eddie, Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.
Bobby Bones
Kevin.
Casey
Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Steph Curry.
Bobby Bones
Michael Jordan's not in your top three?
Casey
Well, I'm still. I'm too young. I don't remember him. I remember him as a wizard.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you don't have to remember him. Like, if you said, name 10 baseball players, I put Babe Ruth.
Casey
Okay. I thought you meant, like, of our lifetime.
Bobby Bones
No, no, just in general.
Casey
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Who's the greatest ever go.
Casey
Oh, Michael Jordan.
Bobby Bones
One, two. Yeah.
Casey
Michael Jordan. LeBron James.
Bobby Bones
No.
Casey
Michael Jordan, then Kobe, then LeBron.
Bobby Bones
I would go LeBron Jordan, Kobe.
Eddie
Oh, so we all have the same three.
Bobby Bones
Same three, different order.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Here's Shaqs one. Michael Jordan.
Eddie
That's interesting because he's always argued for Kobe, like Clips that I've seen. He's always just like all time list. Yeah. I've seen him actually say that.
Bobby Bones
He has Michael Jordan at one, Kobe at two.
Casey
Well, there you go.
Bobby Bones
Three. LeBron. Who would you guys put it for?
Brandon
I'd say Kareem.
Casey
Larry Bird.
Eddie
Yeah. Magic. I mean, I think I like at.
Bobby Bones
This point, I think there's a Steph argument.
Eddie
I mean, there is. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
He has won four titles. He did change how basketball is played. Even if you're annoyed with all three pointers. Like he changed it.
Casey
Agreed.
Bobby Bones
Steph is the guy. Magic Johnson, he has his 4. Bill Russell at 5. Wilt Bird, Hakeem Duncan, Julius Irving.
Eddie
Duncan's in there. That's awesome. He didn't put himself in there. Interesting.
Bobby Bones
He starts his list saying he put himself at number 10, but then he removed himself when making the list.
Eddie
Okay, got it.
Casey
But even at 10, even at 10, I'm surprised.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I'm surprised he didn't put himself at like three or maybe four.
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You know, if I'm going to think about it, I think Shaq is a top five player of all time.
Casey
Yeah. How does it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think Shaq is maybe four. Him and Steph, I think are in that same like next up to being the greatest, they're not the greatest. Because that I think we all can agree it's Jordan, LeBron and Kobe in whatever order you want to put it in. But I think there's that second tier and I think Shaq is in the second tier and so is Step and so is Kareem and so is Magic, Akeem and Magic and Bird. Yeah, that's that second tier. Not God tier, but a tier.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones

Casey
Let's go.
Bobby Bones
So I will read you a quote and you tell me who said it.
Eddie
No. Great.
Casey
Is this an athlete or. It could be anybody.
Bobby Bones
It's. Everything is in sports. Okay, I have seven of these. I need you to tell me exactly who said it.
Eddie
Are we writing down?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you're gonna need to. Round one, Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.
Eddie
How specific do we need?
Bobby Bones
I need to know the name of the person that said it.
Eddie
Oh my gosh. Oh man, this is stupid.
Bobby Bones
Kevin, you in?
Casey
I haven't. I have a face in my mind, but I can't think of a name.
Bobby Bones
If you have no name written down, there's no opportunity to get a point.
Casey
Okay, I'm ready.
Bobby Bones
Casey, you in? Yeah. Okay. Kevin, your answer?
Casey
David Hasselhoff.
Bobby Bones
Ah, classic Baywatch. Would lifeguarding be a sport?
Eddie
Yeah, maybe.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's not a sport. Swimming would be, but lifeguarding? No. Casey.
Brandon
I'm gonna go Vince Lombardi.
Bobby Bones
Eddie.
Eddie
It's Kyle Chandler. But he's coach. I don't know his name, so I wrote down McCringleberry.
Bobby Bones
Ah, classic. Coach McCringleberry.
Eddie
What's his name?
Bobby Bones
The greatest Christmas time coach of all. Coach. Coach Taylor for nls.
Casey
Coach Taylor.
Bobby Bones
Coach Taylor. Friday Night Live.
Eddie
I saw that dude at a bathroom at a movie theater. Kyle Chandler.
Bobby Bones
Did you say what up?
Eddie
Yeah, I did. It was just a moment where I just like forgot that he doesn't know me.
Bobby Bones
What up, Coach McCringleberry.
Eddie
And I know I don't know him, but like I've seen the show. So I was just like, what's up, dude? He's like, hey. Okay, good to see you.
Bobby Bones
Next up, who said it? I'm just here so I won't get fined.
Casey
Ready?
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
My transfer's down.
Eddie
Gotta write it down.
Casey
Okay, okay, okay.
Eddie
I'm in.
Casey
I'm in.
Bobby Bones
Casey.
Brandon
Mr. Marshawn Lynch.
Bobby Bones
Eddie.
Eddie
Marshawn Lynch.
Bobby Bones
Kevin.
Casey
Yep. Beast mode, Marshawn.
Bobby Bones
Good.
Casey
I'm here so I won't get fined. Nice.
Brandon
Legendary.
Bobby Bones
Next up, I've missed more than 9,000 shots at my career. That's why I succeed. I've.
Eddie
I'm in.
Casey
I'm ready.
Brandon
Yeah, me too.
Bobby Bones
Kevin.
Casey
Wayne Gretzky.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you're thinking of the Michael Scott quote. That's a quote of Wayne Gretzky's quote. You miss every shot you don't take.
Casey
I know that. There's two.
Bobby Bones
That's what you're thinking. It's not Wayne Gretzky. That's Wayne Gretzky.
Casey
So it is. Okay, then. I know who it is.
Bobby Bones
Casey.
Brandon
I'm gonna go with Kobe Bryant.
Bobby Bones
Also incorrect. Eddie.
Eddie
I put Kobe down.
Bobby Bones
Incorrect. Michael Jordan.
Casey
I was gonna say Michael. I knew it was Michael. Or Wayne.
Eddie
One of the two.
Casey
Yeah. Not Michael Scott, though.
Bobby Bones
Next up. A team is something you belong to, something you feel, something you have to earn.
Eddie
Let's just see what sticks.
Bobby Bones
Very famous quote. A team is something you belong to, something you feel, something you earn. Let me know when you're in.
Eddie
I'm in.
Casey
Oh, man.
Brandon
I guess I'm in.
Casey
One more time. A team is something you belong to.
Bobby Bones
A team is something you belong to. Something you feel, something you have to earn.
Eddie
Oh, I like that. Did you say it like they say it?
Casey
No.
Bobby Bones
If I were saying it like that, I would go, a team is something you belong to, something you feel, something you have to earn.
Eddie
Good. That makes me feel good.
Casey
I'm ready.
Bobby Bones
Kevin.
Casey
Kurt Russell.
Bobby Bones
What.
Eddie
You want? Like a miracle, right?
Bobby Bones
Like what? The person who said it. Casey.
Brandon
I was gonna say Al Pacino from any given Sunday.
Bobby Bones
I would need Al Pacino's name in the movie, though. Eddie.
Eddie
Right. That's why it's Vince Lombardi.
Bobby Bones
It's actually Coach Gordon Bombay from the Mighty Duck, played by Emilio Estevez.
Casey
See how. Okay. The right sport. At least.
Bobby Bones
There's no. At least. And there's no. I was gonna say. Those are my pet peeves. Like, when you miss it, like. Well, I was gonna say this instead. Half a point there. Next up. I don't play defense. I let the other guys tire themselves out. I don't play defense. I let the other guys tire themselves out.
Eddie
I'm in.
Brandon
Me too.
Eddie
Could you say it like he says it?
Bobby Bones
I don't play defense. I let the other guys tie themselves out. Dang.
Eddie
I'm wrong, man.
Bobby Bones
I know. That got me thinking, Kevin.
Casey
I don't know why I'm going. J.R. smith.
Brandon
I thought Lawrence Taylor, but now I'm thinking Mr. T. After him.
Eddie
I pity the fool.
Casey
Eddie.
Eddie
I had Dick Butkus.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no. It's patches of Houlihan from dodgeball.
Eddie
Oh, my.
Casey
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
Dodgeball. Coach, you know, it comes in. You can dodge a wrench. You can dodge. Okay, okay. I'm not worried about the pressure. Pressure is something you feel when you don't know what you're doing.
Casey
I'm ready.
Eddie
I'm in.
Brandon
Yeah, me too.
Bobby Bones
Casey.
Brandon
I'm gonna go. Brady.
Bobby Bones
Kevin.
Casey
Larry Bird.
Bobby Bones
Eddie Kobe. Chuck Noll. God. One more.
Eddie
Chuck Noll, the coach.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, one more. Great moments are born from.
Eddie
Can you say it like he says it?
Bobby Bones
Great moments are born from great opportunity.
Casey
I'm ready.
Bobby Bones
And the origin. That is Latin.
Eddie
I'm in.
Brandon
I guess I'm in.
Bobby Bones
Casey.
Brandon
Phil Jackson.
Bobby Bones
Solid guess. Kevin.
Casey
Tom Brady.
Bobby Bones
Did you go with your boyfriend? Every time.
Casey
That's the only time I've said it.
Eddie
You're the boyfriend.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Eddie.
Eddie
I put Kevin Garnett.
Bobby Bones
It's Herb Brooks, played by Kurt Russell in Miracle.
Kevin
Oh, my God.
Casey
Oh, my God.
Eddie
That's so dumb.
Bobby Bones
Did anybody get any of them? Right. We all got the same one.
Eddie
So we tied. All gotta make out now.
Bobby Bones
Wait, no. You. You've added your rules.
Eddie
That's how it goes.
Bobby Bones
We didn't agree.
Eddie
Come on, Casey.
Bobby Bones
But I do agree now. I do agree now.

Think advertising on TikTok isn't for your business.
Casey
Think again.
Eddie
We've generated over 100,000 leads which has.
Brandon
Converted into over 40,000 sales for our pet insurance policy policies. My name is Trey Farrow. I am the CEO of Spot Pet Insurance, TikTok Smart Plus AI powered automation takes the guesswork out of targeting, bidding and optimizing creative.
Eddie
If I can advertise on TikTok, you can too.
Ryan Seacrest
Drive more Leads and scale your business.
Bobby Bones
Today only on TikTok. Head over to get started.TikTok.com TikTok ads Pacers and Thunder. This is. And I do think the ratings will be better than what everybody's saying they're going to be as far as bad. I think all the talk about how bad they are is helping them actually be better.
Brandon
Yeah.
Casey
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And I think that'll be interesting. You see where the plane, the Pacers, maybe the thunder's plane, whatever. They were going through a storm and had to turn around.
Casey
Really?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. They're very close to each other. There's like, Missouri. That separates them.
Eddie
Yeah. Yeah.
Casey
They could take a bus if they really wanted to.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And they were flying and storm was so bad they had to like, oh, turn around. Yeah. So it's the first time that two markets outside the top 20 in size have met since 1971.
Eddie
That's awesome.
Bobby Bones
I do think that all of the attention at. There will be no attention. Is creating more attention. And I think that's fine. Yeah, I think it'll be a fun series.
Eddie
And then Halliburton's dad's not allowed. Right.
Bobby Bones
Isn't he allowed back now?
Brandon
He was allowed in the suites?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think he's allowed back.
Eddie
Oh, so he can't get to the lower level.
Bobby Bones
I think the one rule they've put on him is no punching other players.
Eddie
That's a good one.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
That's the rule.
Bobby Bones
He what? Yeah, he was allowed to not be on the. On. On. On the floor or in the court, but in a suite only. So. Yeah. There you have it. LeBron reveals the biggest problem with youth sports today. I'll ask you, Eddie, you have kids in youth sports. What's the biggest problem?
Eddie
The parents. The parents and their expectations for their kids. I think they put too much pressure on their kids when really the kids. I think more than half of the kids don't even really want to play youth sports at the level that they play.
Bobby Bones
That's interesting that that's where you go with parents. I thought you would say parents because they won't shut up, like screaming at the refs or the umps or the kids and fighting with each other.
Eddie
That happens, too. But I think that they. That gets regulated, you know, like, nothing really escalates to anything when that happens. Yes. Our parents verbal, like, say, like, I was talking to a ref the other day and I was like, how the parents today. Actually, the parents are pretty good today. You know, certain tournaments, the parents are really bad. But today was pretty tamed.
Bobby Bones
LeBron says from the Mind the Game podcast. He says that it's too many kids and it could be parent based, but too many kids are focused on one sport all year round and they get burned out because it's all one sport all the time. That when he was in school, I mean, LeBron was like the number one football player in Ohio as well, so that he played all the sports. And so you even hear coaches, we've talked to coaches at a high level that want kids to play all the sports because you actually learn a lot of skills in the other sports. But yeah, his thing that could be also attributed to the parents too, at making a kid just do one sport or only allowing a kid to just do one sport.
Eddie
The only reason we've ever done that is because we have four kids and we're already divide and conquer. Where like my wife and I take. My wife takes two kids to one practice, I'll take another kid to practice, and it's too much. And so we're going to be doing multiple sports all year. Some of those sports overlap, so they.
Bobby Bones
Get penalized for having siblings.
Eddie
No. So I tell them, like, pick your two top sports and that's what we're gonna do. And they all nixed baseball except the baby. The little one still plays baseball, but the other two are like, we don't need baseball, so they do football and basketball.
Bobby Bones
I think it's fine.
Eddie
Or else, like if we.
Bobby Bones
Or else.
Eddie
If we only had two kids, nobody.
Casey
Even asked about an or else we.
Bobby Bones
Were gonna move on. No, no, I don't hate it. I don't hate it.
Eddie
We just thought about this so much. If we had two kids, like, yeah, you can do three sports. You can do you want to do cocky. Fine. We have four kids and it's just too chaotic for us.
Bobby Bones
How'd you feel about the Knicks firing Thibodeau, Casey?
Brandon
You know, I mean, it was a little shocking, but honestly, I feel like, you know, Thibodeau just seems like the kind of guy that can get, you know, he's a culture changer and he can kind of take your team to a, you know, a new height and get you into the postseason. But I think this Indiana series was a big indicator of that. This five man thing, this five man starter thing with no bench at all and not starting any bench players just. It just doesn't work. I mean, Indiana's depth was just, just too much for the Knicks to handle. And then, you know, in games three and four, Tibbs is starting to Throw in some of our bench players like Landry Shamit, who like never played at all and stuff like that. And I think it just really showed that he's just too stubborn and he just kind of is, you know, a stickler of his ways. And I think if the Knicks and you know, Leon Rose said this when he became the president of basketball operations, that he's here to win a championship, not just to be good. So, you know, we had to make a change.
Bobby Bones
It's weird to be Thibodeau and reach a new height and then be fired after you reach the new height. It does seem to me Again, I'm from 10,000ft because you can look at Thibodeau with the Bulls or with Minnesota.
Brandon
Townsville.
Bobby Bones
That's a fuse.
Brandon
Twice.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's a fuse though, right? Eventually the fuse burns out. Like you only have when you have a personality like that that seems to work for a bit and then it doesn't anymore. It's just odd that he takes the Knicks back to a place that they really rarely have been in our lifetime. Even they haven't won a championship in our lifetime.
Brandon
Yeah, I mean, New York radio is definitely divided on it, but I think more people are now leaning towards, you know, that it, that it needed to happen. You had to rip the band aid off. So now we're looking at this guy, Johnny Bryant, who is like the assistant coach and no hire.
Bobby Bones
Brussels dad. Dude.
Brandon
Yeah, Rick. Ricky. But yeah, we'll see. It's going to be an interesting coaching search. I saw that Rick Patino is getting interviewed and he was like, I have, I want no part in that.
Bobby Bones
So he lives there already?
Brandon
Yeah, he's a fan but he doesn't want all the, all the smoke, I guess.
Bobby Bones
What about all the Nova guys? Jay Wright.
Brandon
I know Jay Wright too. I know some people were saying him too, but I, I feel like he wouldn't want it either. I don't think he's got a good gig going.
Eddie
What about Charlemagne?
Brandon
Tim? Yeah. Timothy.
Bobby Bones
Spike Lee.
Brandon
Spike Lee.
Casey
Great guy.
Bobby Bones
Kylie Jenner.
Brandon
Kylie. Yeah. Great three point range game, you know, Perfect.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Brandon
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Eddie, how's your kids basketball team? You're coaching them now?
Eddie
Yeah, we had our first double header.
Bobby Bones
I expect 30 point wins every game. You said you are stacked.
Eddie
We are so stacked. And I expected the same thing. In our first game we got slaughtered. I mean it was really at one point it was a 35 point game and in the half and I'm like, this is not good.
Bobby Bones
Why? What was happening?
Eddie
So. So I was under the understanding that. So the way six year olds play is they play wristbands, right? So, like, they all have different color wristbands. And your red covers their red. That's just how it goes. Like, it's training purposes for kids that really don't know too much about basketball. It's like you just play defense on your color. You cannot play defense on any of the other color kids. So the other team wasn't playing like that, and the refs weren't calling it like that.
Bobby Bones
So were they just matching up? Then the coach was like, hey, you match up on this kid. You match up on this kid. Are they playing zone or what?
Eddie
They were just playing. Whoever has the ball, swarm them. Oh, and hey, non stop blitz, non stop press. Like full team press. And I'm like. I tell the ref, I'm like, hey, what's the point of the wristbands? He's like, I think it's so they know who they're guarding, but who cares, dude?
Bobby Bones
Oh, wow.
Eddie
I'm like, okay, we're gonna play. Who cares, guys?
Bobby Bones
It.
Eddie
And so at that point, we played who cares too? So we scored like 10, 12 more points. It was a little closer, but we still got slaughtered. That was the first game. Second game, who cares, dude? I went, boys, we're playing who cares?
Bobby Bones
Defense. Got it.
Brandon
Nice.
Eddie
Whoever has the ball, that's not their ball. That's your ball. And then one of the kids looks at me, says, coach, are you saying steal the ball? And I'm saying, that ball is yours. You grab it and you take it to the hoop and score. That's all they needed to hear, dude. And that second game, we dominated.
Brandon
I would run through a wall for you, man.
Eddie
Dominated.
Bobby Bones
So would you have five men going at the ball?
Eddie
I mean, no, Because I don't want to leave a good player open under the hoop. So I'd say, like, three of you guys swarm the ball. Two stay back.
Bobby Bones
But which. So would it be a designated two?
Eddie
I ran a three, two defense.
Bobby Bones
Got it. So the two that are playing, like, they also call them the four and the five.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
They stayed back.
Eddie
They stayed back to guard the.
Bobby Bones
Can you play zone in your league, dude?
Eddie
Dude, I'm telling you, these refs were like, do whatever you want. And then one of them's like, dude, I'm a Cowboys fan. I love your hat. And I said, dude, it's our year. Yeah. And he winked at me. He's like, do whatever you want. I'm like, you got it.
Casey
Dang.
Bobby Bones
Maybe you find out who the ref is, look on their Instagram, see who their team is. Wear that hat every week.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So you think now that you understand how the games are being played, you'll be able to play as well. Could you beat the first team if you'd have known who cares?
Eddie
Yes, I think we could have, because the team we beat beat the first team.
Bobby Bones
So do you have them ready for both? Because the league might end up switching back if enough parents complain on who cares, you may have to go back to wristband. So are they ready both ways?
Eddie
No. Well, I mean, I think what my plan is going to be is, yes, we'll get ready both ways, but I think I'm going to get there a game early, watch who the refs are, how they're refing.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
And then that'll be the game plan.
Bobby Bones
So you will have them ready?
Eddie
Oh, yeah, we'll be ready if it's.
Bobby Bones
Wristband or if it's. Who cares?
Eddie
And another thing too is they were screening like the kids. It's six year old basketball. Screens are not allowed. Every single time we've done again, I have four boys, they've all played six year old basketball. Screens are not allowed. Dude, these guys are allowing everything. So guess what we're doing Sunday at practice? We're learning screens.
Bobby Bones
Pocket knives. Oh, screens. Yeah, screens. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Dang. 101.
Eddie
But dude, when I told the kids, like, this is the one time that you can steal and you tell your parents that no stealing candy at the store, don't steal anything, don't steal someone's wallet, but that ball today is yours.
Bobby Bones
I don't think he needed to do the whole don't steal the wallet. I think he just could have said.
Eddie
No because I think they were confused, dude. They were like, so you're telling us it's okay to steal?
Bobby Bones
I don't think so. I think they know there's a difference in like stealing. Right?
Casey
Well, I've legit never thought about that.
Eddie
Until I didn't think about it either. But really, they're taught their whole lives not to steal. And I'm like, no, no, today you are stealing.
Bobby Bones
They're probably also taught not to bother block. Like block people walking through. Right? You can block a shot.
Eddie
Yes. I didn't realize that. So I have to spell it out for him.
Bobby Bones
Well, we're rooting for you guys, man.
Eddie
Dude, I. I think from here on.
Bobby Bones
Out, you guys on ESPN plus, they show everything.
Eddie
Yeah.

Eddie
Yeah, Cubs have got time.
Bobby Bones
