But also, you're going to be able to eat more than three an hour, because I think if right now I could. If you just put them in front of me, I could probably eat five uncomfortably. So obviously, you're going to have to make up for the fact that you're gonna sleep some, right?

[Eddie]

I have to sleep.

Can you just put this in the back of your mind?

Let me think about it for a little bit.

And I give you 500 bucks if you could do 70 in 24 hours. I think that's a pretty good challenge.

Yeah. When I break it down three, I think it sounds.

Yeah, sounds a lot. Not necessarily easier than it is.

But let me break it down more here.

Here. Will you factor in sleep?

[Mina Kimes]

You've tried harder challenges, I think. Food challenges, dude. There are some. What was the one? Oh, you ate the chicken or shrimp?

[Eddie]

Oh, yeah, Popcorn shrimp. That's that from Popeyes. Yeah, but see, bones, can you calculate, like, take the sleep out if I took the eight hours off?

[Bridget Todd]

Because for sleep, 70 hot dogs in 24 hours is. Get this. It's not even three hot dogs an hour. So it's 2.9. Two hot dogs per hour.

[Eddie]

Well, it's 0.9. That's pretty much three.

[Bridget Todd]

But once you eat 10, it takes one away, right? So I mean, so it does matter.

[Eddie]

10 is a lot though. I don't know if I can eat 10 in an hour.

[Bridget Todd]

Not an hour. I'm saying in general. So when you eat your 10th one, it does take one away. So. Okay, so you want to sleep for eight hours.

[Eddie]

I want to sleep for eight hours. And I can even have hot dogs for breakfast, right? I'm going to have to have all that.

[Bridget Todd]

You'd have to. Yeah.

[Mina Kimes]

It's the only thing you can eat all day.

[Eddie]

So take the eight hours away. How many would I have to eat an hour?

[Bridget Todd]

Okay, so if you're, if you're sleeping for. This isn't bad. This isn't bad.

[Eddie]

Come on, Come on.

If you're sleeping for eight hours, 16 waking hours. So that's 70 hot dogs in 16 hours. It's 4.3 hot dogs per hour with eight hours sleep and rest, which means you're going to wake up hungry again.

4.3. That's so doable.

You will be living a slower and sadder Nathan's hot dog eating competition.

[Eddie]

24 hour long. But then again, man, I feel like my stomach like Joey, he trains for this.

[Bridget Todd]

Hey, J Dog, JDOG trains for this. And so like that's why I'm not.

Making you do it in 10 minutes. He trains to do it in 10 minutes.

Do you don't think you need training for 24 hours?

I think it'd be uncomfortable, but I don't think you, I, I think you could do if you can do it in 10 minutes with training. I think if you pushed yourself, which.

So obviously it wasn't last year in the ratings Suffered tremendously because the greatest ever wasn't able to play. Yeah, it'd be like if the Lakers were in the championship and LeBron couldn't play. You're watching the Lakers without LeBron. Who wants to watch Austin Reeves for more than a quarter? So, yeah, congrats to Joey Chestnut and maybe congrats to Eddie.

Hey, let me think about it. This is definitely a possibility.

I think you could do it. I think you could do six or seven at a time and then have a couple hours where you just do, like, two.

I was listening to this song because I was doing some dance party research, which I do on Monday, to kind of put all the songs in for the Friday morning dance party. And I was looking at this song. You'll know it, Eddie, because I've played it before. It's Pitbull. Fireball. You know, there's a line because playing some of it, I laughed out loud. I didn't know this was a line in the song. The line is because he goes, fireball. I came, I. Hold on. I saw, I came, I conquered. Or should I say, I saw, I conquered, I came.

[Eddie]

Oh, pit bull. I don't think I would have caught.

I literally just went home and turned a microphone on and talked. So. But I made a bunch of notes of stuff that we should talk about. So I'd first like to start by saying, and this is on camera, to all you Kentucky fans. You are the most sensitive group of fans, by the way. I put you at number one on the worst list for the exact reason that you're showing right now. You are so sensitive. Not a single other fan base other than. Haha. Yeah, that's pretty accurate. Reached out to me. Upset. Except for Kentucky fans. Not only that, Kentucky fans, you have like a little. Little show, live show, and you show it on the big screen and get the reactions. You guys are so sensitive. That's why nobody likes you. You're so sensitive. Oh, boo. Boo. Like, have a little fun.

And what I said was, they wouldn't be annoying if they didn't win. Like, the way fan bases get annoying is because they win a lot and then we pay attention to them and then they get. Then they're over the top. So if you're not successful, you're not annoying. That's why nobody hates Arkansas. We don't win enough. Even if Kentucky loses, from now on, they're gonna. They're annoying because I've had it. I'm out. Kentucky never wearing blue again because of you. Just in general, I've eliminated the color from my palette.

They got pretty butthurt about it.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah, big time butthurt. They got butt hurt about it. Listen, you want to see Kentucky sports social media pop off, put me on it. That's the only way it pops off is when I'm on your social media. Because I went. I went and looked at all their stuff and it's like, it's fine. That's fine. It's fine. Put me on it. Boom. Million views.

Yeah, Matt Jones did a whole thing, like, under a tent with all the enemy showing all their faces as I was doing it. And it was. And it was going like crazy. And at first I was like, nah, that's fun. Then people started, like, really getting upset about it. I was like, are they that sensitive or you can't even take a joke? Like Cowboys fans, Tennessee fans, everybody else on the list was like, yeah, you're pretty. Right. For a reason. You think that for a reason. Yeah, I get it. Not Kentucky fans. They freaking cry. They did go fund me to kill.

[Eddie]

Me with all their six teeth.

[Bridget Todd]

Yes. They go funded a hitman. They're gonna kill me anyway. Kentucky man. Shut Up. What else? I was watching a guy who was tracking WNBA players and what bets to make by tracking their periods.

[Eddie]

Oh, no way. No, she's entering her ludie.

[Bridget Todd]

I laughed out loud. I laughed out loud.

[Eddie]

I mean, was he, was he winning?

[Bridget Todd]

He. So he was doing over under specific bets on players when he could find out. And so he was using, I think Lexi hole the place for the fever. And somehow she had posted a social media clip and she was talking about it and he was like. So I went and chased the under and he was like showing all of it and he's like, this is what we do now. We try to track when players are having their periods and we try to go bet unders on them.

[Eddie]

That's next level, dude.

[Bridget Todd]

You got respected.

Wow. Yeah. There's no that Nobody's cheating.

I mean, and that happened over the break too. But let me go back to the hot dog eating competition for a second because we watched it and it was on and my wife sat down right as it was coming on. And they do these intros. Like they had like the guy red hair is like the mercenary of death and he's like, yeah, he's got the world record for most butter ever eaten. I don't even know what it was. Everyone's got like something they specialize in. And so he's like, when you go to the gates of hell, who eats butter? The merson. And so they're introducing them like wrestlers. And my wife's like, are they being serious? Like, are these introductions? Is this like a real sport? I said, no, they're, it's, they're absurd on purpose. Like they're over the top. But these people, this is like their one time to be on television. And so they go up and they start and it was never close. Like Joey Chestnut just started eating and they have the people behind them flip the numbers and she just flipping. 1, 2, 3, 4. I, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but the second place person was like 30 behind him.

[Eddie]

Wow.

[Bridget Todd]

It was like if I were to play third grade basketball with a bunch of third graders, what is that, nine years old? If I'm playing basketball in a league with nine year old or one on one competition with nine year olds.

[Eddie]

You dominate.

[Bridget Todd]

I would dominate.

That's what we should plan. We should make that happen.

Oh, yeah. That's crazy. The two pitches, dude.

So I'm going to give you a brief description based on what I've learned is that there was irregular betting that the first pitch in whatever ending coming up would be a ball. And he was pitching both of those games. And both of them were not only balls. They were.

[Bridget Todd]

He like hopped them. It was like somebody throwing a bad first pitch.

[Eddie]

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think, I think one of the bets was hit the batter.

[Bridget Todd]

No, I don't think so. Well, that's what I read because both pitches were outside. Wait, they hopped way outside.

[Eddie]

Okay. And. Well, those are. I think those two are like worth a lot more like the bot. The odds are.

[Bridget Todd]

Will you look it up? Because I never saw. I hit the batter thing. I saw. I saw both of them were ball. The first inning or excuse me, the next inning. The first pitch would be a ball and both pitches were exactly the same where he hopped them way outside on a right handed batter. So it wasn't even close. There was another one where they think there was speculation that he bet that he'd walked a guy. But the guy swung on like a low and outside pitch and struck out. And you see the Luis Ortiz go f. And people at the time just thought he was like pumped. But I think he missed his bet.

He missed the bet that somebody parlayed and hit.

[Bridget Todd]

So he is not. He's suspended right now.

[Eddie]

Yes. Still under investigation.

[Bridget Todd]

Under investigation, but not in trouble. Suspension. I think what I read was they're paying him.

So stupid. Anytime that there's a bunch of money that comes in on any of these prop bets, like if there's a crazy amount that comes in. And I think he even missed some of them if. Because again, some of the stuff I was reading, it was people speculating. But the speculators have a little more credence to what they're saying because they've been involved in betting or betting scandals or they are. They have been in positions to prosecute and they're like, did he miss some of them? Like he bet them and didn't hit. One of them shows him like running. They were up. I'm just going to make up the scenario. But they were up like five points. So the game was over. And so he gets and runs out and dunks real quick because the line was six and a half.

[Eddie]

It was like 0.8 seconds. So he's like gunning it.

[Bridget Todd]

You see that?

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Bridget Todd]

Oh, yeah. And I might be a little wrong on the numbers, but that was the whole point at the very. And he like runs and they're like, this is an example.

[Eddie]

You think he was missing some of those bets just to kind of make it seem like maybe.

[Bridget Todd]

I think he was in financial trouble too. I'd read that he was having some. But again, how much? He. He was making millions of dollars anyway and he's about to make $40 million more. What do you have?

[Mina Kimes]

Yeah, so there were a lot of bets based on the batter getting hit. By the way, Eddie, that's probably what you saw. But the two pitches, one bouncing dirt and one was way outside.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah, yeah.

[Eddie]

Crazy, man. I mean, legal gambling, I've hit like, because I like some of those, especially during football. Like if the next play is going to be a run, next play is going to be a pass. Or how the. How that drive is going to result in. Sometimes, dude, I'll hit like six in a row and I'm thinking, are they going to flag me?

But. But then I think I only put like $2 on it.

I don't think they're flagging a $2 bet. Remember the college baseball when the guy went in and yeah. They're like, this is highly irregular that someone comes in and bets on this game. They got one of the casino and it was a coach, like texting with the coach.

Yes. I just feel like all that's so easy, especially if you're in the game. Like it's like a pitch. It's so easy. And those are.

Okay, so I think I can say it now. They've not told me I can, but I will. But on Sunday, I'm playing in Home Run Derby X All Star Weekend in Atlanta, and that's Sunday night. And so I don't know who my Major League baseball partner is. I don't know my softball partner is. So this is what this is. It's a new. Actually, they tour this thing, which is crazy. So they tried to make it like an event. And so it's a former ballplayer, it's a celebrity, and it's a softball player, and that's a team of three, and they play another team of three of the same.

[Eddie]

And who picks these teams?

[Bridget Todd]

Not me.

[Eddie]

Okay?

[Bridget Todd]

I don't know. And so they invited me to come play and be a celebrity. And so you get points for every home run you hit now, because they know there's only one baseball player and then a softball player who can obviously hit because they're either professional or collegiate, and they're using metal bats. Softball players are. But I'm not. But the celebrity doesn't have to be a big home run hitter, but they move the home plate to either, like, the pitcher's mound or, like, in between pitcher and second base. It's still.

[Eddie]

It's far.

[Bridget Todd]

You still have to hit it pretty good. But they're also targets. And the field is not all of right and left field. It's very much 60% of the middle.

[Eddie]

Okay.

[Bridget Todd]

And you're up on a stage so people can see you a little bit more. So there are some hitting advantages to just being home plate 400ft out center field, because I ain't hitting any of those out. So I'm gonna go and do that. And I hit with a wood bat. Went to the Nashville Sounds. They were kind enough to let me come, not only get in the cage and hit with the players because I just got in the rounds and hit with the. And I got on the field and.

[Eddie]

Took fielding practice on game day.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah, like, they were doing their pregame. I was just working out with them during pre game.

[Eddie]

Wow, that's cool.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah. Brandon went with me and so we went. And the manager, who you thought was.

[Eddie]

No teeth, Keith, was a handlebar mustache man.

[Bridget Todd]

Like, he was like, just get in. I was like, get in what? He goes, just get in the rotation. So that's what I did. I went, played first and got in the rotation. And they were just. They were hitting grounders both sides. And so then he was like, you're in group three for batting. So I got it. Group three, you take five or six and you rotate out. And there's like four guys that do that. So I did that. Did okay. Did okay. I had a couple of them pretty good. It gives me a little more confidence, though, just to get in there and take some swings because I haven't had a baseball.

[Eddie]

Yeah, you've been playing softball forever. Yeah.

[Bridget Todd]

And I hadn't had a softball in 10 years until last year. I need a baseball. Yeah, like a fast pitch baseball, too. A softball that's slow pitch softball. Like a fast pitch baseball in 25 years. So I'm gonna go and do that Sunday.

[Mina Kimes]

Hopefully I hit somehow, and then it wouldn't bat. I mean, that's a whole different thing.

[Bridget Todd]

And yeah, and that was, to me, what was a bit concerning because, yeah, with a metal bat, I probably hit him out. But a wooden bat, no chance. Yeah, but torpedo, no. You know who hooked it up, though, was Brian Anderson, the Brewers play guy who NCAA basketball. He's come on the show before. That's how I met him, was him being a guest on the show. But he also does the brewers home games and he does the NCAA tournament. And he messaged me like a week and a half ago. He said, do you know Riley Green? I said, I do know Riley Green. And he's like, he's doing batting practice up here. I was gonna go say hi. I didn't know if he's a nice guy. I said, yeah, he's a really nice guy. I'll message him and tell him to look out for you. So I text Riley and I was.

[Eddie]

Like, hey, the baseball player?

[Bridget Todd]

No, the singer.

[Eddie]

Oh, the singer. Got it, Got it.

[Bridget Todd]

I don't know. Riley being the baseball player.

[Eddie]

He plays for the Tigers. Right. I didn't know why he was there, but okay.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah, so Riley was up there Doing Summerfest in Wisconsin, a festival. So he went up and he took batting practice with the Brewers. And so I told Riley, and so Riley went and met him, and he was like, what's happening with you? I said, I'm gonna go to the All Star Game. Are you gonna be down there? Goes, no. But my broadcast partner, Jeff Van Core, is. He's gonna be playing.

[Eddie]

They play for the Royals.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah. As one of the guys. And he was like, are you taking any swings? You should come up to the brewers and take batting practice. And I'm like, well, if it was like, a mile away, I would, but I'm not gonna be able to get up there in a week. And he said, our AAA team is in Nashville. So I honestly got hooked up through somebody in Milwaukee for the team right down the road. Yeah.

[Eddie]

That's crazy.

[Bridget Todd]

So he called them and was like, hey, my friend's coming down. And so they were rolled out the red carpet.

[Eddie]

Awesome.

[Mina Kimes]

I actually saw him in Riley Green's, like, Instagram video. He did a. On the visit on the BP that he took with the brewers, and he was. Brian Anderson was in there.

[Bridget Todd]

Really? Yeah.

Yeah. It's so super nice of him to set that up. And I'm gonna go on Sunday evening do Home Run Derby X. Awesome. I think there are four teams.

Don't put your pinkies together when you're like, dude, shut up.

Were traveling through, and so they, like, took up all the cages. So the only thing open was one of the cages that didn't have a machine where somebody had to human throw to you. So Brett and I are behind the screen throwing at each other. Hitting.

Yeah, like having to dodge each other. So we got some rips in, but again, it was us throwing to each other more so than a machine. But, yeah, I'm gonna try to do that, try to win that. Hopefully on Sunday, hopefully get a few out. But you also get points in this because there are three people. You get points by hitting home runs, but if you catch balls in the air, they don't hit out. That's a team. That's a point for the other team.

No, I'm just. I mean, obviously I was betting on hot dog eating, so I'm ready for football, man. I'm ready for sports to get back into the swinging thing. It's A really dull time right now, and I'm having. It's good for me, you know, being the. The with the twins and whatnot, because I have a lot of time to focus on them, but I'm ready for football.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah. That sucks.

[Eddie]

The kids know what's up, too, because I was watching soccer last night.

[Bridget Todd]

Like, we lost. We scored quickly. We scored so quick. I don't know anything about soccer.

[Eddie]

So you play Mexico, right?

[Bridget Todd]

Yes. I'm not an expert. It was the. The Gold Cup. I follow along just enough to know in case somebody asks me about it, I can be like, yeah, I know, a little. And so we scored quick, like, out of the gate, 1 0. We ended up losing 2 1. Mexico beat us, and that was kind of like our World cup beating. Mexico.

[Mina Kimes]

Yeah.

[Bridget Todd]

But. Yeah, no, that's all I know. I turned it off after we scored the goal. I was like, I watch. I get to see a goal.

[Eddie]

Yeah. I mean, they almost scored at the end there. They had a couple of chances. Us almost had to tie it, but they didn't.

[Bridget Todd]

How much do you care about soccer?

[Eddie]

I feel like zero.

[Bridget Todd]

You should a little zero, like your native land.

[Eddie]

You know, my kids say yesterday is like. They watch. They walk up like, my oldest, he's 17. He looks at it, he's like, oh, dad, us, Mexico. This tough for you? What are you talking about?

[Bridget Todd]

Hey, that's pretty funny. You see a celebrity in the wild.

[Eddie]

I did, man. At Disney. I was at Disney. And it was one of those things where, like, I saw him and I go, huh? They look familiar. Don't know where I know them from, but familiar for sure. And I'm thinking maybe high school, maybe college. It was like, one of those things, because it wasn't like, oh, yeah, that's Tony Romo. It wasn't like that. And then finally, it clicked. I knew who she was. It was Jamie Yeardall.

[Bridget Todd]

Oh, yeah.

[Eddie]

From Good Morning Football, NFL Network. Did you do something with her? Like an interview or something?

[Bridget Todd]

Yes. So, yeah, from right here, I think.

[Eddie]

Yeah, I remember seeing her on the Zoom.

[Bridget Todd]

Yes. She interviewed me on the Zoom, so.

[Eddie]

It'S not as old. You were on the Zooms? What the heck?

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah, yeah, she. I. I went on that show as a guest, I think, probably because Castle and I's podcast was starting, and so she had me on, and that's when I were like, I hate Titans. Remember that?

[Eddie]

The colors. Yes.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah. The colors are slow. The Titans suck. But that's where it was. She's super nice.

[Eddie]

Well, I didn't Talk to her. But it was weird. And it's. It's weird too, because I'm always like, oh, man. Say hi. Because, like, I noticed her. And then I'm gonna.

[Bridget Todd]

That's a weird thing to say, though. Never say it like that.

[Eddie]

Well, I. I noticed you. And then I'm talking about her. Seeing her in the wild on a podcast, and I didn't say hi. It's just weird. So I was like, I should go say something. But then I was like, what do I say to her? Like, do you know my friend Bobby? You know what I mean? Like, what am I gonna say? And I have a Cowboys hat on.

[Bridget Todd]

Probably better.

[Eddie]

Like, that's a fan. Probably better.

[Bridget Todd]

He didn't.

You just send her his clip?

[Bridget Todd]

If, like, you had met or. Or you. You literally could have just. All those ways are weird. You can't say I noticed you or anything like that.

[Eddie]

I wasn't gonna say that.

I saw you from a distance.

But if you were to go up and just see her and just say, hey, I watch you on NFL Network, I think you're. You do an awesome job. Like, that's fine.

[Eddie]

But if you're like, hey, I noticed you, or, hey, do you know my friend Bobby? Oh, that's weird. Yeah.

[Eddie]

But I think that'd be more of an in than, like, yeah, watch your show.

Good job. More of an in would be like.

You don't need an in. What do you need the in for?

Maybe she wants to be like, oh, cool. Like, oh, yeah, you're on the show. That's cool.

I don't know. And then we don't know from there. What, do we just want to be on Good Morning Football? Don't you.

They've asked me to guest host that a couple times.

The problem is it's way early in the morning.

Are they in West Coast New York or.

No, they're in la. One of them's in New York, but the rest are in la. Maybe two of them in New York, but it's based in LA now. But they go on at like, four in the morning.

Yeah, yeah.

Like west coast time. Yeah.

Yeah. Which is crazy.

Bill's brutal. And then I have our show to do. Yeah. So. But yeah, they've been super cool and asked me to come and guest host a thing, and I'm like, I have my. I have a job. Or I would.

According to a new study, die hard sports fans aren't just emotionally invested in the action. They're neurologically wired for the game. Researchers found that the brains of superfans light up in unique ways, especially during subtle strategic moments that casual viewers might miss. Even when nothing major is happening, their brains are buzzing with activity in regions tied to personal relevance and evaluations. It seems big time sports fans are locked into games in deep and unique ways. I just feel like that means we're losers.

I'd hate to put me under one of those. During the Razorback game. You would just see, like, a sad face on the brain. The brain has a frown. Yeah, that's how I feel during football season. I frown the whole time.

It's like the Open, if you're interested in golf. The British Open.

[Mina Kimes]

Oh, I thought you're talking about, like, tennis. Like US Open.

Wimbledon's kind of cool. I watched a little bit.

[Bridget Todd]

Watch. Love it too. I don't care. I saw Roddick was there.

[Eddie]

Was he?

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah. And they're like, Roddick, who never comes and rarely in public. And him, Brooklyn were there. Yeah.

Rarely shows his face in public.

[Bridget Todd]

He doesn't do. He has a tennis podcast now, but he just was, like, not into tennis forever because that's all he did. So he was almost anti tennis.

[Eddie]

I saw clips of him interviewing Agassi in his podcast. Cool.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah. And that was his hero, so. And they're good friends now, though.

[Mina Kimes]

What movie was he in? Was he in a movie?

[Eddie]

He was.

The Open. I only like the Open. I only watch the Open with extra attention if the weather's really bad. Otherwise, I mostly just watch on Sunday. I like it when the weather is really bad and it's just effing with all players. It's almost like when the US Open happened and the rough was so rough.

[Bridget Todd]

Yeah. Who could get minus anything.

[Eddie]

Yeah, exactly.

So I like it when the Open is like that.

[Eddie]

What I like about the Open is that you could wake up at 3 o' clock in the morning and golf is on. That's cool to me.

[Bridget Todd]

I like it better when the NFL's playing in Europe because I will wake up at nine. I just am not going to wake up at three. Yeah, that's.

[Mina Kimes]

That's aggressive. Three in the morning to watch golf?

[Eddie]

Yeah. I mean, we wake up.

[Bridget Todd]

Do you mean three in the morning to check your bets?

[Eddie]

Yeah, just to see where everyone's.

It's kind of cool. Even at like 8am There's a tournament going on. Like, sometimes the first group's already finished by 8am it's pretty cool. It's pretty cool.
