So the ESPN NFL deal is interesting because NFL get basically up everything, all their media, their house, NFL films, all to ESPN to own 10% of ESPN.

Yeah, big deal. And NFL media itself, NFL Network, they really weren't cutting through at the level I think they would have liked to. And they know ESPN has the infrastructure to actually build that brand out. NFL. And so that's pretty sick though. To get 10% of ESPN.

I'm sure they could have sold it for like a billion or something, whatever that number is. But to get 10% of ESPN, that's pretty awesome. And there's an interest now in ESPN succeeding. So some of the changes are like Red Zone channel will be on espn.

So I think it's an interesting deal. I. ESPN is also going to do a direct to consumer where you pay like 19.99amonth. But again, that isn't for people that already have it on cable or that already have it on YouTube TV. You're going to continue to get that, but it's for people who don't. And just like how you have your Netflix subscription.

How you have your. That is what you can get ESPN on. That will be a little more robust. Another one of the interesting things that came out of this is that Disney plus is going to be the hub for even Hulu. Hulu is going to not be an app anymore.

I don't like it because I just feel like it starts to, like, muddle where everything is and then everything's going to be one big streaming service at some point.

But don't you like it that way where it's just one place you go to instead of getting out of that app and going over to another one and watching something there? Like on Sundays when I'm trying to watch golf and NASCAR at the same time. Dude, it's tough. I have to go to ESPN plus to watch golf. Then I have to go out and watch, you know, TNT to watch nascar. It's a pain.

ESPN plus is awesome. Now, this is different than what we're talking about as far as them joining and buying NFL. And ESPN plus is awesome because they have just put cameras at random schools to just watch events. Yeah. Like even like Arkansas softball. Every game is up. Even if there's not like a full booth, they're working. Somebody works remotely and they still have the cameras. And they have students able to run the cameras.

The backwards hat has been a thing for like Baker Mayfield. He's just brought people up. Tony Romo, a lot would go up and be like, this is not the guy, you know, go up with a backward hat. So it's kind of been his thing. I did see that Schottenheimer went up day two and his hat was backward. His visor, he flipped it around and he goes, I don't want.

I did hear a cool story about why Brian Schottenheimer wears a visor. When he, when he worked at Florida behind Spurrier, he was the. His job. So WrestleMania will be a part of ESPN new direct to consumer streaming service starting in 2026. Thanks to an agreement, ESPN's wheeling and dealing right now.

The deal announced Wednesday includes two night events such as WrestleMania and SummerSlam and just goes through that. ESPN will launch its streaming service August 21, $29.99 per month. And we'll still keep the linear network's name, which is ESPN. Obviously it will allow users to get all seven of ESPN's domestic linear networks. In addition to ESPN on ABC and several other streaming options. The WWE has streamed on Peacock and will be all of this year.

They'll do fight nights on espn. But now the big, big fights is always pay per view. 80 bucks.

So Teddy Bridgewater, he coached that team to a state championship in football, which. Which is crazy. He was suspended last month by Miami Northwestern for using his own money to provide food, uber rides and other services to his players. Bridgewater is signing a deal to play with Tampa Bay Buccaneers again this year. The team was in the market for a new backup, Baker Mayfield, obviously the quarterback, but the story is he comes from a school coach at a school that they didn't have a lot. So, yep, okay, it's against the rules, but you also got to look, he didn't get suspended for being like, a bad dude or cheating. He got suspended for, like, paying so these guys could eat when they were at the facility.

Isn't that crazy? And it's not backward in the way of. It is within the rules and it's keeping people from cheating. But you wish there was some sort of body that could come in and go instead of just throwing a blanket over it. You've raised a flag. You would like us to investigate this and we see exactly what you were doing. Heck, there are advantages to rich schools over poor schools. And you were just trying to somewhat eliminate that. Because I feel like after hearing about it for about a week or so and looking into it, I feel like that's all he was doing, was trying to make it so his players could eat, so they could practice well, get rides too.

The thing was, he wasn't even getting paid, like, even as the head coach. He was like a volunteer. I'm 99 positive he was volunteering as a head coach. So he wasn't even getting paid, and they suspended him.

You may look that up, Mike. The NFL has. And this story has changed a bit over the last couple days. They have been smelling salts. And the reason is because they say it can mask concussion symptoms. So if you're concussed, you go over, you're like, oh, hey, I got a little pep in my step. I'm a little quicker. So they're like, hey, we have to cut this. But the new thing that's been brought in is that players can bring their own. The NFL just can't provide them anymore.

But they showed the last time they played, the mascot for Ohio, which is a bobcat, ran over and beat the crap out of the mascot that's from Ohio State, which is Buddy or something, whatever his name is.
