Eddie
This is a podcast called 25 Whistles. Talking football and they all wear a whistle yet stupid.
Bobby Bones
But what did you expect? It's a podcast called 25 Whistles, everybody. Welcome to the show. Eddie Blunt. We're all in different places. Kevin's on a zoom. Abby's on the phone. We got Abby on because she went to Denver for the Patriots and Broncos. Abby, how you doing?
Karen Kilgariff
I'm good. Okay, well, pretty good until the end, you know, of the game.
Bobby Bones
So before we talk about the game, how did you get home?
Karen Kilgariff
I actually made it back last night after the game. So crazy is that. Which added, like, extra stress after the game, because I thought for sure it would be, like, canceled. But then we're, like, stuck in traffic, rushing to the airport, but I made it.
Bobby Bones
So you got to the airport, you flew home. But how was the drive home after the airport?
Karen Kilgariff
Oh, it was rough. So my fiance came to pick me up in his truck, and he was going, like, super, super slow. But luckily, no one was out on the road. Yeah, like, it was just us, basically. I mean, there were a few people that were, like, flying past us, like, what is happening? But it was solid ice. So, like, on the interstate.
Bobby Bones
Abby had never been to a Broncos Game. She's a big Broncos fan. First game, it was the AFC championship. So you said you had tickets from the Broncos coach. How'd that work out?
Karen Kilgariff
Those were legit. Oh, my God.
Kevin
Oh.
Bobby Bones
Did you see them online?
Eddie
Yeah. Did you not see them where she sat?
Bobby Bones
No. Is it on her Instagram still?
Eddie
Yeah, I do. She was right there.
Bobby Bones
Okay. So, Abby, how did you know Sean Payton? How'd your friend know Sean Payton?
Karen Kilgariff
So she's known that. She's from Denver, so she's known him for a long time. And, like, when he was the coach of the Saints, her son actually, like, did a. Did an internship or something. Worked for him for, like, two years. So I don't know. She's just known him forever. You know, she lives there.
Bobby Bones
I do.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I'm just. I'm over on Abby's Instagram story now, and. Yeah, Abby, those are good seats.
Karen Kilgariff
They're amazing. So we got to see that one touchdown, like, right there.
Eddie
That's cool.
Karen Kilgariff
Like the Broncos. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. That's good. So what was your report of the game experience before the game started? Like, what'd you guys do leading up to it, since it was your first game?
Karen Kilgariff
Okay, so, well, we had to, like, prep. We went to the store, and we got, like, foil, because we heard if you put tin foil on your toes, like, in between your socks, it'll keep them warm.
Eddie
Abby.
Karen Kilgariff
And we bought cayenne pepper.
Bobby Bones
It's like snipe hunting.
Eddie
I saw the same video on Tick Tock.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Did the tinfoil work?
Karen Kilgariff
See? Oh, gosh. No, it didn't. Because as you walked, it was, like, breaking apart.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Karen Kilgariff
You know, so, like, I took it off halfway through the game, and it was just, like, in pieces, and there was, like, foil everywhere. So that didn't work. We bought cayenne pepper, and we were gonna put in our socks, like you said, but then I chat gbt'd it right before the game, and they're like, oh, that's probably not a good idea, because you can get, like, blisters and burns on your feet. And I was like, oh, God, I don't want that. Like, we're gonna have painful, you know, walking. I was like, I know football players tried it, but. So we didn't do that. But I had, like, four layers on a ski suit.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Was it terrible?
Karen Kilgariff
And then it really wasn't that bad. No, because I was ready. Like, I was kind of sweating, like, in the Uber on the way. And then we went to, like, this VIP tailgate, which was the coolest thing Ever, too. I don't know if she had the hookup for that, because she knows somebody that's like, the voice of Denver radio.
Eddie
Okay.
Karen Kilgariff
Or something.
Eddie
Yeah.
Karen Kilgariff
And I heart. And so we were, like, under heaters. We got some drinks and food, and then we finally went in.
Bobby Bones
And the first half of the game was. Was the screen. It was good. Screen was clear for me. I could see the game just fine.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It started to slowly get worse as the weather started to pound.
Eddie
It was the fourth quarter, dude. It came out of nowhere.
Bobby Bones
Did you know that it was coming like that, Abby?
Karen Kilgariff
I did not. Well, I talked to my fiance, and he's like, I think snow's coming. I'm like, what are you talking about? There's sun. Like, it's so nice right now. And then we went to the bathroom after halftime, came back, you know, during the third quarter, and it started snowing, and then it was like, full on blizzard.
Bobby Bones
Did the crowd expect a full blizzard? Were most people expecting that?
Karen Kilgariff
I don't think so, no. But, like, they were happy. Like, people were, like, embracing it. They're like, this is awesome. You know, like, there was. There was nothing we could do about it. And we were all, like, bundled up. And then there was, like, a Patriots fan in front of me that just took all of his clothes off, and he just. He was bare skin, and he's just, like, full on. I mean, he was very drunk. But it was kind of funny.
Bobby Bones
After you guys lost, what was the vibe like in the stadium?
Karen Kilgariff
I mean, yeah, everybody was leaving with, like, a minute and a half to go, so that was sad. But people. I don't know, like, there. It wasn't, like, negative. Like, we were like, oh, we'll get them next year. And then, like, people were chanting. Like, the Patriots fans, they started, like, chanting something.
Bobby Bones
I think, too, you probably somewhat expected you were going to lose because you didn't have a quarterback. And then the weather got so bad and then. But you rate the experience A through F. Oh, man.
Karen Kilgariff
Until we lost a. A plus. And then, like, the whole getting out, because this. It was just everybody walking to their cars, snow everywhere. You couldn't go anywhere. So. Yeah, that was. I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Well, I'm glad.
Karen Kilgariff
It was super fun.
Bobby Bones
Glad you got to go again. Yeah. To get those seats and to also go to. That being your first game, the AFC Championship game.
Eddie
Pretty cool.
Bobby Bones
Pretty legit. Yeah. I think you guys may. I think you could have wanted if you had your starting quarterback.
Eddie
For sure.
Karen Kilgariff
I know. No, I fully believe we would have it would have been a.
Eddie
Just.
Karen Kilgariff
It would have been, like, 27 0.
Eddie
Oh, okay.
Bobby Bones
Okay, now you're jumping.
Eddie
It would have been a better game for sure.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. All right, Abby, thanks for checking in.
Karen Kilgariff
Bummer. Okay, thank you.
Bobby Bones
All right, bye. I'm surprised she got back. I'm surprised she got back safe.
Eddie
I know.
Bobby Bones
I'm surprised she's on the phone with.
Eddie
Us right now, but I'm surprised he had good seats like that. Like, she had a great experience.
Bobby Bones
I know her friend.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah, we. We know her.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
And I had no idea until she posted a picture. I'm like, oh, that's her friend. Got it.
Bobby Bones
If I look on her Instagram, I see it. Yeah. Hey, Kevin. So you guys won. Kevin's not in studio with us. He's at home because he, like, me, lost complete power. Are you staying at somebody's house?
Kevin
Yeah, I had to drive to a. Or my wife had to drive us to a house In Franklin, about 30 minutes away from our place, so we can get some heat and some power.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we have babies, so, yes, that's a little bit.
Kevin
Everything changes.
Bobby Bones
That's probably pretty important. Were you able to watch the game?
Kevin
Yeah, that was the best part. I asked my friends, I said, hey, do you guys have power? And they said, yes. And then the second question. Are you guys gonna have the game on? Because we're coming over.
Eddie
That's the only reason we're coming over.
Bobby Bones
So being a Patriots fan lifelong had to be pretty good, pretty fun to watch.
Kevin
Yeah, it was. It was great. It was a weird day, obviously, because of the weather, so it's.
Eddie
It.
Kevin
It almost like that took over so much, but once the game started, it was great. And like you're talking about with Abby in the second half, as soon as that weather got really ugly, I was like, our chances are getting pretty good. As long as we can keep the ball, run the ball a little bit, and just. Even just hit a field goal like we did, I felt pretty good.
Bobby Bones
Man, that end of the third quarter, into the fourth quarter, when they were going, well, you got the win this quarter. You definitely don't want to have to have it in the fourth. Like, that weather was so imposing.
Kevin
I know. I know. And, like, you're talking about, it came out of nowhere and then just kept getting worse and worse. And as soon as they were talking about the wind at your back and Romo kept referencing the wind at your back window, your back, and they were taking advantage of it in third quarter, and I was like, as long as we can get A lead. And this weather keeps getting worse. I feel like Jarrett Stidham and that offense just can't do anything. And I felt pretty damn good about it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Because Drake, man, his offense really couldn't do anything. So imagine you're Jared Stidham with that offense. Yeah, there's nothing there. Congratulations on your Patriots making the Super Bowl. That's pretty crazy, dude.
Kevin
Thanks, guys. I. I still don't think it's hit me. Like, I feel like I'm either living in the past time, like in 2010s, or. I don't know. There's so much going on in life right now with. With the whole Nashville weather that I'm like, oh, wait, we're going to the Super Bowl. So I don't know if it's going to hit me today or tomorrow or when, but it's pretty awesome.
Bobby Bones
I got to watch both games, but I went out to. So I have a Hyundai Ioniq 9, which is an all electric car. It's basically a big phone charger. Right now. It charges everything. It has so many ports in it that my wife and I plug things in. We just leave the car on in the garage because there is no carbon monoxide.
Eddie
Yeah, it's perfect.
Bobby Bones
So I get enough sell that I could watch like 80% of the game before it would lag. And so I watched all the game. I was pretty happy about that game.
Eddie
Because that's all on your phone. Mm.
Bobby Bones
Oh, there's no tv. We're totally, totally no power.
Eddie
That's tough. I did picture you watching all these games on your phone. I'm like, oh, my gosh, that's gotta be so tough.
Bobby Bones
On my phone, up on the dashboard of the car, my wife and I sitting in both seats, just laid back in the seats, letting everything charge and like taking in any heat that we could get.
Eddie
So you fully charged your car before the power went out?
Bobby Bones
Nope. It only has like 46%. But I googled, no. I guess I went to chat GBT and I said, hey, how many charges can we get? And chat GPT was like almost endless. You get 4,000 charges of your phone.
Eddie
Let's go, baby.
Bobby Bones
So that's what we did. I watched the games from inside the electric car and. And I don't know, we just made do. And then I watched the game last night. That was a better game.
Eddie
And you know what's weird though, like watching the snow game is. Is I love watching snow games. Like, love it. I think it's so cool to watch just a stadium full of Snow. But when it's freezing outside and people don't have power and it's snowing on tv, it's a whole different experience.
Kevin
Feel good?
Bobby Bones
You're right.
Eddie
I did not like it at all. I'm like, I don't like all this snow.
Bobby Bones
It made it feel colder in our house. Patriots went, it was crazy. The Seahawks Rams game was good too. That was the game. Yeah, that was, that was a good game. I think I like the quarterback stories. I mean I like the Sam Darnold. Everybody wrote them off. The Vikings didn't want them so they shipped them off. I mean nobody wanted them at first mostly because the jets sucked, Panther sucked. Went and rebuilt a little bit in San Francisco. Had a great season with Minnesota and then even they were like now we're going to go with the, with the rookie. We'll send you off, goes to Seattle, go to the Super Bowl. I mean I haven't seen the line. Have you looked at the line, Kevin?
Kevin
I came out at five but I think it's already gone to three and a half from what I saw.
Bobby Bones
Seattle.
Eddie
Oh yeah, Seattle.
Bobby Bones
And now you're the favorite to win the Super Bowl.
Eddie
Yeah, it's pretty cool.
Bobby Bones
Pretty good story.
Eddie
You worried, Kevin?
Kevin
No, dude. Everything's freaking. I don't know. Cherry on top at this point. I can't believe we're here. They were playing the super bowl but it's still like I don't. Our defense is playing so good and we've had to deal with bad weather two weeks in a row that I feel like they can keep playing that well. Hopefully you never know in San Francisco. Could be raining but it's just. I'm just enjoying the ride.
Bobby Bones
Imagine the Titans office.
Eddie
I know right? We let him go.
Bobby Bones
His first year.
Eddie
Yeah. And now we got Salah.
Bobby Bones
I don't mind Salah. I think Sal is a good coach but it's not even about that. It's about that you let him go going. I think, I don't think he's going to be able to take us to the next level. And he goes up and takes an under like I don't, I don't know what you call them. An under understaffed. An under personneled with a second year quarterback. Patriots team that no one expected to even win the division, much less when the afc. It's crazy. So congratulations Kevin. That's cool. And then I haven't seen if they updated the money. Have you?
Eddie
I have not looked but I mean how awesome is that?
Bobby Bones
Like will you look, Kevin, if they haven't. I'll ask for an update.
Kevin
I look this morning, but it hadn't changed.
Bobby Bones
Okay, I'll ask for an update now.
Eddie
Oh my gosh.
Bobby Bones
It's not. It's not going to change that much how much we owe, but it will. It will change a little bit.
Eddie
I know, dude, but we're just chipping at it. Like just. It was so bad before and now I just can't believe it. Like the. Out of all the teams we picked.
Bobby Bones
Well, first of all, we didn't pick.
Eddie
Them all the teams you picked.
Bobby Bones
But I'd pick bad at Kansas City.
Eddie
It's just crazy to me that the Patriots are one of our teams and all for you, Kevin. But, like, it's just crazy. That's the team that's digging us out of a little hole that we were in a huge hole.
Bobby Bones
We were still a big hole. We're going to be in a big hole regardless. I know, but it is helping a little bit.
Eddie
It feels good.
Bobby Bones

Okay, great, great, great. Way to start. So this is a great beginning and hopefully you'll be able to. I don't know, maybe you will cry. Amanda Seyfried. Life is so short. If you feel something like that, you have that fire in you for this experience. It's not for a guy. It's for the experience of being in love. And, like, it's bigger than Elizabeth Olsen.
Karen Kilgariff
I love swimming naked so much. And I know you love taking pictures of yourself.
Chelsea Handler
I love to be naked. I just want to be in my bra underwear all the time. Ross Matthews. You know what kids always say to me? Are you a boy or a girl? Oh, my God.

Josh Allen up there still.
Nav Green
Oh, my boy Matthew Stafford.
Michelle Williams
Where did Nicks at?
Bobby Bones
He ain't too far behind.
Chelsea Handler
He did all this talking.
Eddie
What Matthew Stafford is doing statistically, bro, is crazy.
Nav Green
Bro, you know I ain't no Josh Allen fan, but Matthew Stafford got better weapon. Caleb Williams.
Eddie
Hey, he should be in that Conversation in what conversation?
Nav Green
He should be in it. Listen to Broken Play with Nav Green from the Black Effect podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast.
Eddie
The Volkswagen Beetle started out as Hitler's dream car.
Bobby Bones
It wound up as a beloved hippie.
Jacob Goldstein
Icon and the best selling car of all time.
Bobby Bones
How did that happen? I'm Jacob Goldstein.
Eddie
And I'm Robert Smith. On business history, we tell the surprising stories behind the inventions and entrepreneurs that shaped our economy.
Jacob Goldstein
And the story of the Beetle is truly surprising. It has so much in it. It has Nazis, it has the German economic miracle.
Eddie
And it fe one of the most famous ads of all time. An ad that really redefined what advertising was in the United States.
Jacob Goldstein
The calculation was that there was some.
Bobby Bones
Number of Americans who were ready for something different, who were ready for something.
Jacob Goldstein
That was counter to the culture, if you will.
Eddie
Perfect timing in this decade of the 1960s. Listen to Business History on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts and watch episodes on YouTube.
Bobby Bones
I did watch before the power went out, I did watch Alex Honnold and the free solo guy climb the skyscraper.
Eddie
Dude, thanks for reminding me.
Bobby Bones
People thought I was doing an ad on Netflix. Netflix doesn't pay me to do ads. My Bobby cast is on Netflix. But it has nothing to do with that. They really have no even communication about other shows or that there was never even like a wink nudge, hey, say stuff about other shows. Nothing. Because that's so big. Yeah, a lot of shows. Yeah. So I was pretty excited about it. I was gonna watch it the night before, but because it had rained, they pushed it off a day. And so then it comes back and he's gonna climb this building. And I know it's pretty crazy because really at the heart of it, we're all just watching to see if he dies. Not to watch him die. No one wants to see that. But everyone's literally just watching to see if he falls. Yeah, that's it. When he would climb like the corners, those dragon corners, and just use his.
Eddie
Hands and no legs.
Bobby Bones
Kevin, did you watch it all?
Kevin
Oh, yeah, I watched the whole thing and I hated watching the whole thing, but I could not stop watching it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it was hard to watch, but I watched most of it. My wife was like, I can't watch this. So we watched the first part of it we went over because I was told it was going to be about 70 minutes in total. It was longer than that event all in. And so we watched that we went over and finished a show. We watched the night manager season two in that. Watch like, half an episode of that and then came back to it. And the people that were up taking selfies or taking up close pictures of him in the windows, I didn't like them. I felt like that was distracting. And they would get right up on him and record. And now I've seen some of those videos on TikTok.
Eddie
That's pretty cool.
Bobby Bones
It's fun now to see them. But he'd be climbing this building in Taipei, Taiwan. Yeah, Taipei.
Eddie
Taipei, Taiwan.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And these people would be in the room and go right up to him with a camera recording. And he's, like, looking at him. Sometimes he'd wave. I guess this guy had no worry that he would fall. No worry, like, because I think he does concern himself with climbing things naturally. I think they even saw his heart rate start to go up a little bit when they had the heart rate monitor on him. But this, I think, was so easy for him. The only thing about it that was crazy was how high it was.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
More so than how hard it was.
Eddie
He would say once in a while, like, I'm getting tired. And I. Like, I didn't want to hear that, you know, he just go, all right, I'm getting a little tired here. And like, did you have like a third? Like a third to go?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And not only that big shout out to the guy that I think he knew that was running the camera because he was on a rope all the way from the top of the building. All the way down.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So he's just hanging there. Now he's on a rope, but that guy's up really high just holding the camera. And there would be times in Alex Honda be like, can't hear my music. Can you guess our music up?
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
He was like, calms her down. Calms her down. And it started to get real windy at the top.
Eddie
Do you know what I didn't like when he reached the top and he's just standing on that ball at the top of the building. Like, the wind is so strong. I thought, like, dude, you just climbed this whole thing, no problem, and now you're just all free. Nilly willy. This is where you die.
Bobby Bones
The wind blows him off a gust. I thought that it was a little scary when he would get to a certain point and then just stand up and he walk over the edge and look over. I know obviously he has no fear of edges, but it's crazy. They didn't pay him that much.
Eddie
How Much they pay him.
Bobby Bones
He said it wasn't really for a paycheck, but I think the total was a few hundred thousand dollars.
Eddie
Wow.
Bobby Bones
I thought the. It's got to be tough to commentate one of those things, but I thought they talked a little too much. It was just constant chitter chatter. Chitter chatter, chitter chatter. I get it. You got to fill space. I think in some of that, though, you can leave a little oxygen. Easy to say afterward. And as somebody who, you know, does stuff like that, sometimes you're never going to do it. Perfect.
Eddie
I liked when they talked to him.
Bobby Bones
I like.
Eddie
Or they asked him questions.
Bobby Bones
I didn't because I thought they were distracting him.
Eddie
Well, they wouldn't do while he was, like, climbing. Once he reached, like, a checkpoint.
Bobby Bones
Leave him alone. I don't like it. Leave him alone.
Eddie
That was interesting.
Bobby Bones
I don't mind when they talk to a coach mid game because he can't fall and die to his death.
Eddie
There were times when, like, they're talking and then he's talking. I'm like, yeah, I want to hear what he's saying.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it was interesting. I bet you a lot of people watch that thing.
Eddie
That's pretty cool, dude.
Bobby Bones
And it was live and they were able to make it go. There were no pops that I saw.
Eddie
No.
Bobby Bones
No cutouts. Like, Netflix is getting it.
Eddie
Were your palm sweaty?
Bobby Bones
No. Physically, nothing happened to my body because of it.
Eddie
I was. I was sweaty. I was nervous for him.
Bobby Bones
I had to disassociate from it a bit and go, this is fiction. This is just. Because if you really think about it, it makes me really nervous. I hate heights.
Eddie
Can you imagine? Yeah, Like, I just can't imagine even, like, standing on one of those edges. He was looking down, like, just standing there, not climbing it.
Bobby Bones
It's pretty good, though.
Eddie
And then. And then all his. You know, you don't think about how dirty a building is.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. All the grime.
Eddie
Like, you don't think about that. But I'm sure they never get clean. Like, it's got to be so dirty.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. That's good, though. Big shout out to Netflix. That was a fun thing to watch. And he didn't die, so A plus.
Eddie
We need to do more of those, like, live events of just random things.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
I don't know what else we can do, but, like, just a random event of a dude free solo in a building was pretty cool.
Bobby Bones
Then my algorithm started to feed me on Instagram. A lot of other people that climb buildings.
Eddie
Oh, I've gotten that one Free solo type stuff as crazy.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's crazy. It's not as crazy because the buildings aren't as big, but they're still climbing. Really tall buildings with nothing.
Eddie
I mean, there's gotta be deaths, right?
Bobby Bones
I'm sure I didn't Google that because I don't want to see that.
Eddie
That'll be your algorithm.
Bobby Bones
I did watch the UFC fights. It was on Paramount Plus.
Eddie
So how much did you watch?
Bobby Bones
Well, it wasn't free, although it felt free because I've already paid for the service. Right. So I watched it because it wasn't a pay per view.
Eddie
Right. Which is crazy. I just had no idea that pay per view is not gonna be a thing anymore.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that was the whole reason it went over.
Eddie
Unbelievable. That's eight. That's almost $90 that I would spend on a random weekend.
Bobby Bones
But did you already have Paramount Plus? I did see it feels free. Right.
Eddie
So when.
Bobby Bones
So I'm a casual. I'm a super casual UFC fan, but I went over and watched, and the first fight that I watched was two women. It sucked. It's a terrible fight. I don't even know who it was. And I bet and lost, but it was a terrible fight. Would you. You're a UFC guy. Would you say it's a bad fight?
Eddie
It was like, if I was trying to get a friend involved in, like, ufc, like, dude, you have to watch ufc. I would not have shown him that fight. That was probably the worst representation of a UFC fight.
Bobby Bones
So watched it and lost. I even bet the favorite. No, the favorite one.
Eddie
She won.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I won.
Eddie
You won money on.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you know what it was? She shouldn't have won. I won. And I didn't feel like she should have won because she lost two rounds and they fought through and they said she beat her so bad in the third round. I felt like she should. She should. I think it was Nunez.
Eddie
I don't remember.
Bobby Bones
Whoever it was, she should have won the fight.
Eddie
Nunes. It wasn't no, Amanda Nunes. She's famous. It wasn't her I could buy.
Bobby Bones
Look, because I bet. Let me see who it was. I stayed around and watched more.
Eddie
Uh huh. There's a Brazilian girl. Brazilian girl. But I want Rose. And Rose. Forget her last.
Bobby Bones
I end up watching all the fights. Oh, you did?
Eddie
So you watched o' Malley and you watched. God, dude. Patty the baddie. That was a crazy fight.
Bobby Bones
Let me see here. Okay, so here I lost on that fight on Patty. Yeah, I think. I think I went three and two. I bet five. Her name Was Waldo Quartet.
Eddie
No, those are the heavyweights.
Bobby Bones
Oh, never mind. Silva. Natalie Silva.
Eddie
Okay. Natalie Silva.
Bobby Bones
What I say her name was?
Eddie
You said Amanda Nunes.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no, I guess I went two and two on the fights.
Eddie
That's pretty good. That's solid.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but you.
Eddie
Did you make money? Because those heavy favorites like that, like, it's. It's hard to make money a very.
Bobby Bones
Little amount on that next fight with those two really big dudes.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
But then. So here's the thing, Patty. The baddie lost. He got. I poked first and they stopped the fight.
Eddie
Correct.
Bobby Bones
Then he got eye gouged a second time. And it totally affected that round.
Eddie
And I thought they were going to review it because they can review it, but they did not. And if they would have.
Bobby Bones
Should have won the fight, he would.
Eddie
Have won the fight.
Bobby Bones
He ended up getting beat and, man, it looked like he was getting knocked out a few times and he came back. He should have won the fight because that dude. Even if they hadn't, even if they reviewed it and it wasn't the end of the fight and they were like, you have another eye gouge, take away a point or whatever.
Eddie
Correct.
Bobby Bones
That totally affected that round.
Eddie
That would have won the round and won the fight.
Bobby Bones
Got. I got. Is crazy.
Eddie
Yeah, dude. And how. Dude, how crazy was that? Was that shot to the face where it exploded his face? Yeah, it was one shot and like his eye exploded. His nose was broken. It just rocked his face.
Bobby Bones
So I did watch UFC fights.
Eddie
Good, good.
Bobby Bones
I don't know that I'll watch them regularly unless there's a big name. I do like them. They started an hour. I like. They start an hour earlier.
Eddie
This one had some pretty good names.
Bobby Bones
They start at 8 now instead of 9. The pay per View, they knew it'd be a lot more hardcore fans this, and they're trying to get some of the casuals to hang around and watch. Yeah, there's too many commercials. It was commercials all the time.
Eddie
Did you end up going over to the multicam? That was a multicam.
Bobby Bones
I didn't know I could do anything. I just left on that.
Eddie
I didn't. I was on it for a second. And is. There's no announcers, which I really do appreciate the announcers because they just add, like, Joe Rogan adds a lot to like, what's happening to the fight. And they didn't have that. But maybe I'll check it out next fight.
Bobby Bones
Kevin, you don't watch ufc.
Kevin
The only fight I watched was the o' Malley one. Oh, you can't remember.
Bobby Bones
You watch that one live?
Kevin
Yeah, but after that, I couldn't step anymore.
Bobby Bones
There were no more.
Eddie
There was one more. Oh, that's Patty. Oh, o' Malley's the pink hair.
Bobby Bones
Oh, bro, I'm telling you, all these Irish names, I thought the same person.
Eddie
But Patty o' Malley, the baddie. Patty's English and o' Malley is American. Oh, he's not even Irish.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, dude, I'm such a casual. I watched the o' Malley fight too. Yeah, I thought that was all the same person. Do you see Kevin the Indiana in stadium celebration after the national championship? No, man, it kind of sucked. Don't.
Eddie
Like, like the. The ceremony?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. It wasn't full. Oh, everyone left and it's probably cold. Well, not left. They just didn't go. They didn't have the game there at home.
Eddie
Oh, you're talking about when they got back to India.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, they came back.
Eddie
Got it, got it. Why not?
Bobby Bones
Maybe, maybe. Bad time weather, but yeah. Cursing that he walks out. It was. It was lined a little, but I felt like a little. A little to be desired there. I figured the fan base would be a little more prominent and they weren't. But it's winter weather time, man. But in Indiana, winter weather's not used to that. It's like spring day. Kirsten Eddie's reward with free beer for life from a brewery in Indiana.
Eddie
Oh, he did shout out the brewery.
Bobby Bones
He did?
Eddie
Yeah. Because I think a reporter asked him like, so you're going to get that beer, you know? And he's like, yeah, yeah. He's like, well, what kind of beer is it? And then he shouted out the brewery.
Bobby Bones
As a show of appreciation for bringing in the end its first ever football national championship. Upland Brewing Brew Brewing, based in Bloomington, has ponied up a lifetime supply of beer for the coach.
Eddie
Great. He's going to be drunk next season.
Bobby Bones
If you had a lifetime supply of beer, would you take advantage of it?
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Or would you just moderately and just save you a little money? Do you think it make you drink more?
Eddie
Well, see what happened. So one of my birthdays or Christmas, I don't remember, my wife got me a kegerator and it was like the best gift I've ever gotten. And I was so excited, I went out to, to like a liquor store and bought my keg. I was like, I want a keg of Sam Adams. Whatever. They gave me the keg, dude. I threw like 90% of that beer away. There's no way I could make a dent on that keg. So, yes, a year of beer sounds awesome, but I don't think I could.
Bobby Bones
Take advantage of that. Eddie's doing keg stands at home by himself.
Eddie
Dude, this thing was awesome. Like, I would get home from work and just like, get a glass and like, just pour myself a beer.
Bobby Bones
Mizzou had two buzzer beaters in one game over OU is the craziest thing I've ever seen. There was two seconds left. They threw the ball in. It's out of his hand. Right as it's hitting the rim, the pink backboard goes off the shot clock and they hit it to tie, go to overtime. It was a crazy shot to go to overtime. Then they're down to same freaking thing happens, different person, no buzzer beater. I think only the second time in history that that's happened. Two buzzer beaters in the same game is wild. If you had. If you haven't seen it yet, they released the final AP poll in college, and so they had Texas rated higher than ou, which is kind of funny to me because Texas didn't even make the playoff. But Texas was at 12, ou was at 13. So I text my father in law, I said, this OU Texas ranking doesn't seem to be indicative of the playoff. And he said, I don't go by the AP poll. I have my own poll. My own poll using my own personal analytics.
Eddie
There 1.
Bobby Bones
After crunching the numbers, OU is top 10 and Texas is unranked.
Eddie
Love it.
Bobby Bones
So, yeah, you got it. If you made the playoff, you should be ranked over teams that didn't make the playoffs. Don't we think that's the case?
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I do.
Kevin
That seems the most logical, the updated.
Bobby Bones
NFL head coaching landscape. So the Steelers with Mike McCarthy, he's back. Dude, that's wild. I think Mike McCarthy's a good coach, but if you're a Steelers fan, you're probably thinking you're going to hit either home run with a big name or really invest in one of these young, not big names, but really high potential, high ceiling guys. And I feel like Mike McCarthy is not either one of those. And if you look back, they've had three coaches over the last 50 years or so. And what, Chuck Noel, Cower and Tomlin? Yeah, and each of them ran a long time. McCarthy's 62. I don't know how long.
Eddie
Nah, I don't have a lot left.
Bobby Bones
Kevin, what were your thoughts when you saw the Steelers hire Mike McCarthy?
Kevin
A little bit surprised. To your point. I thought they'd go with somebody younger, but I think it's just a Steelers way of them being like, it's somebody that's stable, somebody that's been there, somebody that's done that and who knows how long he'll do it. But I think it's just a very stable, safe hire for them.
Bobby Bones
I feel like it's safe as well. And it seems to me that that's the perfect pick of a coach if you want Aaron Rodgers to come back for another year.
Kevin
Yeah, because they had their run.
Eddie
They did.
Kevin
But do you want, like, if you're a Steelers fan, do you want Aaron Rodgers?
Bobby Bones
I think if you're a Steelers fan, you have to decide if you're willing to go and lose a bunch of games to get a better draft pick. Because if you get Aaron Rodgers again, you have a chance to win 10 or 11 games. If you don't have a quarterback, like what. That's probably what will happen. You got to lose a bunch in order to get a pick. So it kind of just depends on what Steelers fans want. Now. They're not going to get what they want, but you either get a high pick or you get Aaron Rodgers, because if you get Aaron Rodgers, you ain't getting a high pick because you're going to end up, you know, 9, 10, 11 wins and.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Which is what you know, at most, you're probably going to get a playoff win at most. So, yeah. Mike McCarthy, coach of the Steelers, the Ravens with Jesse Mentor, the Giants with John Harbaugh, the Falcons with Kevin Stefanski, the Dolphins with Jeff Halfley, and the Titans with Robert Sala. So we got nothing from the Bills, the Browns, the Cardinals or the Raiders, as if we're recording this right now. On Monday, about 11am the bills did interview Philip Rivers. That'd be hilarious. The only coaching experience he has, high school.
Eddie
But it did just play, so, I.
Bobby Bones
Mean, there are a lot of people who just play they probably shouldn't hire as a coach. So the Bills, they kept saying, no, this is real, this is real. It's feeling like now it's not as real. There are other guys going in, but I think that's the good job that's left. But, man, to go into Buffalo, you got to love the cold weather. I think it's going to be dayable, if I'm just guessing. I think it's stable. I think it's. Everything's right for him to end up with that job. He's from there. He was the offensive coordinator there with Josh Allen when they were winning. I think you go to the Giants and you lose the Giants kind of a poverty organization. Generally they can kill coaches even if the coach is good. I think Dable probably be the guy there. But I don't want to coach the Browns. Like, I don't want to coach the Browns. If you offered me the job. I don't want to coach the Browns.
Eddie
Nobody's offering you though.
Bobby Bones
I know, but if you do, I don't want to coach the Browns. What's crazy about that job? I'm reading. They. They make the coaches take a personality test. They make them write an essay. They make them do all these different. They're like, we're such an analytics based organization. You are. You guys suck.
Eddie
Yeah, that's not working, man. Try something else.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So the Browns. I don't want to coach Cardinals.
Eddie
Oh, Arizona's nice though.
Bobby Bones
That's a. You talk about a poverty organization. That's maybe with them. And the Titans and the Browns are probably the three most. I would say the Panthers are slightly above those three and only because they won this year. Kevin, where would you other coach, the Browns or the Cardinals?
Kevin
Strictly for weather alone. Got to go to Arizona. I do not want to be in.
Eddie
Ohio, live in Scottsdale.
Bobby Bones
That's fair. Strictly for weather. But when they do those player polls, The Cardinals get Fs on a lot of stuff from like food, how they treat their family, cafeteria and stuff. Yeah, all that. I mean the Raiders, they have an infusion of new ownership. There's a reason those three jobs are three of the last four to be filled. Just not great jobs. So there you go. Bobby Bones
She is not with us anymore.
Chelsea Handler
Okay, great, great, great. Way to start. So this is a great beginning and hopefully you'll be able to, I don't know, maybe you will cry. Amanda Seyfried Life is so short. If you feel something like that, you have that fire in you for this experience. It's not for a guy.
Bobby Bones
It's for the experience of being in love.
Chelsea Handler
And like, it's bigger than a guy. Elizabeth Olsen I love swimming naked so much.
Karen Kilgariff
And I know you love taking pictures of yourself naked.
Chelsea Handler
Yes, I love to be naked. I just want to be in my bra underwear all the time. Ross Matthews, you know what kids always say to me? Are you a boy or a girl? Oh my God.
Karen Kilgariff
All the time. I know.
Chelsea Handler
So I'm always like, hi. I try to butch it up for kids, you know, so they're not confused. Yeah, but you're butching it up. It's basically like an Angry Woman. Doris Day, right? Michelle Williams
Where did Nicks at?
Bobby Bones
He ain't too far behind.
Chelsea Handler
He did all this talking.
Eddie
What Matthew Stafford is doing statistically, bro is crazy.
Nav Green
Bro, you know I ain't no Josh Allen fan, but Matthew Stafford got better weapon. Caleb Williams.
Eddie
Hey, he should be in that conversation.
Bobby Bones
In what conversation?
Nav Green
He should be in it. Listen to broken play with with Nav Green from the Black Effect podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast.

The Volkswagen Beetle started out as Hitler's dream car. It wound up as a beloved hippie icon and the best selling car of all time.
It has Nazis. It has the German economic miracle.
Eddie
And it features one of the most famous ads of all time.
Bobby Bones
What country do you think the women have the biggest boobs?
Eddie
Let's think about this, Kevin. All right.
Bobby Bones
A report recently ranked the countries in the world by the average breast size. America at number two. And I would assume that's because so much plastic surgery.
Eddie
Oh, I was just thinking food.
Bobby Bones
That would be my assumption. Or. Oh, like if the fatter you get, the bigger they get. Yeah. So it's mostly cold places at five. Iceland.
Eddie
Oh, you've been Iceland. Did you notice anything?
Bobby Bones
I did not. Normal at. For Luxembourg. I've never been there. At three. The uk. Two United States. One. Norway.
Eddie
Norwegian.
Bobby Bones
It must just be bigger people like those Viking. I just think I just picture the Viking women with that. The horns on their head.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Singing opera with the big yellow braids. The big blonde braids.
Eddie
But I think they would have, like, armor. So they'd need, like, big armor.
Bobby Bones
They did get that Ryan wedding. That drug kingpin saw that. Do you see him coming off the airplane?
Eddie
Yeah, that dude. That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
You know those FBI agents are fighting for that spot in the picture.
Eddie
So they can be on the picture.
Bobby Bones
Of course, they're walking them out. There's four people right with them. Two on the side, two right behind him. He's handcuffed. Former Canadian Olympic snowboarder and alleged drunk kingpin Ryan Wedding has been arrested in Mexico, will be extradited to the US wedding, who had been on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, is accused of running a transnational drug trafficking operation that moved tons of cocaine across international borders.
Eddie
Bro. Cocaine quarterback, man.
Bobby Bones
Not gets you. Not same guy, not different dude.
Eddie
But I mean, it just gets you. Like, you get power hungry, money hungry. You. You get r. You get away with one transaction, you're like, oh, I can. This. That was easy. I can do this.
Bobby Bones
Then.
Eddie
Slippery slope.
Bobby Bones
He was hiding out in Mexico. That's where they got him. Right, but he was, like, hiding out with, like, cartel people.
Eddie
Yeah. Dude.
Bobby Bones
I just feel like if I were in the cartel, eventually I'm going to die.
Eddie
That's kind of how it goes, right? Like, you've seen too many stories that they're gonna turn on you, man, at some point.
Bobby Bones
And people are always plotting again. They're either scared of you or plotting against you. And sometimes both at the same time.
Eddie
Yeah. Like, there's no longevity of being.
Bobby Bones
I wouldn't like that life. No. I wouldn't like that life at all. Even with all the money in the world, I wouldn't like that life.
Eddie
You talk about, you know, that picture, the FBI picture or whatever. Like, do you remember when they caught Pablo Escobar and, like, how they posed with him like he was a trophy deer?
Bobby Bones
I don't like.
Eddie
Yeah, because they shot him on the roof. Right. He was, like, running and they shot him and he died.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I do remember that.
Eddie
And they all.
Bobby Bones
They were like Polaroid pictures. Pictures of the Polaroid pictures that I saw.
Eddie
Yeah. They would, like, pose. Like, it was like they just shot a zebra on a safari. It's crazy.
Bobby Bones
I had a picture that I think our show had posted, and it has. It was me and Chris Martin together from Coldplay. Kevin, did you ever see that picture was posted?
Kevin
That was the first time is when the show posted it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I never knew I met Chris Martin.
Eddie
I didn't see the picture.
Bobby Bones
You haven't seen the picture of me and Chris Martin?
Kevin
No.
Eddie
When did they post that? Like, recently.
Bobby Bones
Maybe the Buy Bone show posted it. It was that 2016 trend where you post things from 10 years ago.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And it was a picture of me and Chris Martin standing next to each other.
Eddie
And you met him and you don't.
Bobby Bones
And I saw the picture and I said, I do not remember meeting Chris Martin at any time in my life whatsoever. I definitely don't remember at a festival because it looks like it's at a music festival.
Kevin
Do you have it up?
Eddie
No, I'm looking also.
Bobby Bones
It's a weird picture.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
He's, like, holding my hand. I have my hand over his shoulder, and he's got his hand back up and he's holding my hand.
Eddie
What the. Is this real? I would think this is AI, but that's real.
Bobby Bones
Not AI.
Eddie
Dude. Why is he holding your hand?
Bobby Bones
I don't know.
Eddie
I feel like this would be a core memory.
Bobby Bones
Like, me too.
Eddie
1. The fact that you met Chris Martin. That's cool. But the fact that you took a picture and then he held your hand.
Bobby Bones
If you would have asked me and made me bet on it. 50 bucks. You ever met Chris Martin? I'll take that bet. Nope. Sure haven't. The only time I thought I ever met Chris Martin is. Didn't you see him in a Jeep?
Eddie
No, Mike did.
Bobby Bones
Oh, was that Mike?
Kevin
Hey.
Bobby Bones
Because we were staying in Los Angeles, I was doing American Idol. Mike, you saw Chris Martin driving in a Jeep? Yeah, in Malibu. He was driving to his house or, like, an art house he owns there. Was it a really cool Jeep? No, it's like a normal white Jeep. Like, Eddie has. LA would be weird to be famous because there's always somebody more famous than you. Like, you really can't be famous in la. You can a little bit, but there's so many famous people. It's like if you were 6 foot 4. If you're 6 foot 4 and you go to somewhere normal, you're the biggest dude ever. If you go hang out with a bunch of NBA players or athletes, you're just a dude. That's what LA is like.
Eddie
Does that make, like, Leonardo DiCaprio? Cooler. Because he stands out amongst the kings.
Bobby Bones
He's even bigger.
Eddie
Tom Hanks.
Bobby Bones
He's. He's Wemby.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Those guys are Wimbys.
Eddie
Have you been in la? Like, have you ever just seen a celebrity on, like, just walk in? I know, I remember. You saw. Who was it, Larry David?
Bobby Bones
My wife spotted him. It wasn't in L. A though. We were in.
Eddie
Palm Springs.
Bobby Bones
That's it. I was gonna say where all the old people go.
Eddie
Palm Springs.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. We were sitting and here's why it wasn't even for any reason. Cool. Oklahoma was playing in a softball tournament out there. It's called the Mary Nutter because she's like a big Sal. I don't know who Mary Nutter is. Mary Nutter Classic. And so we're out there going to the tournament and There are like 10, 12 college softball teams out there. That's her name, Mary Nutter. You guys should look it up. I don't think I'm wrong on that. And so we're there at a hotel just so. Because her whole family's out there, her dad's out there. DJ maybe wasn't out there, but we're all there and we're sitting at our hotel and some guys like, can you believe it? My room, my electric car.
Eddie
They were like, let's go youo can hear, you can hear that he was.
Bobby Bones
The same person as on television. And my wife is a massive Larry David fan. And she goes, do not, do not turn around. I'm going to tell you this. If you, if you make your head whip one direction, I'm going to punch you in the shoulder. She said, to your left, three o'. Clock, Larry David sitting with whomever the woman was.
Eddie
And then what was your reaction? Like.
Bobby Bones
Like I did have a real slow.
Bowen Yang
Turn.
Bobby Bones
And who knows if he even noticed. But yeah, I saw Larry David, but that wasn't in la. The only other guy that I've seen just walking around is that Jeremy Allen, the guy who was Chef.
Eddie
Oh, yeah. And the bear.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Jeremy. That's wild Alan White. And I didn't notice him because I don't really notice people. My wife noticed him. We were at a place that's kind of like Whole Foods. And so he was just shopping. Yep, he was. He's just shopping. I think he was like outside smoking a cigarette or something.
Eddie
Oh.
Bobby Bones
Because we were there and he was either there or he's at the gym next door. But he was just walking around smoking at the gym outside. And he was. My wife's like, there's Jeremy Allen White. And I was like, who's Jeremy Allen White? She was like, Chef. I was like, oh, yeah, I got it.
Eddie
That's all you gotta say.
Bobby Bones
But I think that's the only person that I've ever seen just randomly. Kevin lived in California. He lived in LA for a little bit. Did you just see randoms all the time?
Kevin
Not all the time, but two. No, I guess three people I saw at Whole Foods, the same Whole Foods back to back, like weeks was Josh Duhamel and who was a Game of Thrones girl that was married to the Jonas brother.
Eddie
Wait, Josh.
Bobby Bones
Dumal.
Eddie
Dumal.
Bowen Yang
Dumal.
Kevin
Is that you?
Eddie
Say it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then the Jonas brother, Game of Thrones girl. Oh, Sophie Turner.
Kevin
Yes, Anna. Jonas brother. They were together, like, shopping together.
Eddie
Which brother?
Bobby Bones
Kevin.
Eddie
Oh, no, wait, no. Kevin's the married one.
Bobby Bones
There's Nick, there's Kevin. Joe. Joe.
Eddie
Joe.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And people don't bother them, right?
Kevin
No, not at all. I'm sitting there watching. Like, should I say something? Nobody else is saying something. I guess I won't say anything. So I didn't.
Eddie
But you recognize them, Kevin. Like, you're the one that spotted them.
Kevin
Yeah, I mean, she was wearing. I remember she was wearing a big old Giants, like, New York Giants jacket, like a throwback jacket. So that stood out. And then I realized it was her, and I was like, oh, wow. And you. You know right away, especially a Jonas Brother. Like, they're everywhere. And it was during Game of Thrones, so her face was everywhere at the time, but nobody said anything to him.
Bobby Bones
Eddie saw a celebrity here in town at a skate at the skating rink.
Eddie
That was crazy, dude.
Bobby Bones
Are you sure it Was him?
Eddie
No. 100%. 100%. Because even I saw people trying to sneak pictures, which it's crazy to me. Like. And my wife's the one that spotted him, of course. Like, I would never spot a celebrity ever. I just don't look for celebrities. All right? Or, like, look at people and be like, who is that?
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
And my wife's like, just like you and Larry David. Don't be obvious, but right behind you is David Arquette. And I was, like, from Scream. Like, Courtney Cox's ex. Like, what are you talking about? Sure enough, dude, it was him. I did the Google and everything.
Bobby Bones
I.
Eddie
And I think maybe they live here. Him and his wife had no idea.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, a lot of people live here that you wouldn't think. Like, when I was walking by and I saw the guy from Karate Kid at the table.
Eddie
Yeah, Johnny. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I didn't know his name till I looked it up, but I immediately knew that dude.
Eddie
And if he didn't have Cobra Kai, like, we wouldn't recognize him because he doesn't look like Johnny is older or whatever. But the fact that he's in Cobra Kai and we know who he is, same thing with David Arquette, dude. I haven't seen David Arquette since Scream, so I had no idea what he looked like. He's older. So, like, you look at him, he doesn't Scream David Arquette. You'd have to do a little bit of research.
Bobby Bones
Is that a pun?
Eddie
What?
Bobby Bones
He doesn't scream David Arquella.
Eddie
I didn't even think about that.
Bobby Bones
Was he skating?
Eddie
Nah, he was just. I think his kids were skating or somebody was skating. He was there with his wife.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Eddie
Hey, do you remember when we saw Cindy Crawford?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that was backstage at a music festival.
Eddie
That was awesome.
Bobby Bones
Cause there were a lot of people back there.
Eddie
We had played Coachella.
Bobby Bones
Coachella. And so.
Eddie
No, no, that's not true. Stagecoach.
Bobby Bones
Okay, good. Stagecoach. Yeah, good. Same grounds, different weekend.
Eddie
But, man, it sounds so different.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we went to. We played Stagecoach one year. Eddie and I did Raging Idiots. And so then we just went to the show. We stayed because Thomas wrote was playing. Yeah. And then Cindy Crawford was in the back there. And when we were young, Cindy Crawford was like the thing, the poster.
Eddie
The supermodel dude.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, she was back there. Like you said. Older now. Yeah. Her daughter looks exactly like her now.
Eddie
I know that's crazy.
Bobby Bones
And I know that's how it works. Like, I understand.
Eddie
Not always, though.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, not always. So this is from NJ.com. the item in your drawers that could be worth $50,000. If you go back and you have a first generation iPhone, it could be worth up to $50,000. Like if it's in mint condition. If it happens, still be in the box, $50,000, it could be worth 10, 12, $14,000, even if it's not in mint condition. If it's a number one and it.
Eddie
Still works, that's amazing. Do you still have your phones?
Bobby Bones
I have like the last three, but it's only because I don't know what to do with them.
Eddie
Save them now?
Bobby Bones
No, they're out of box. They're out of everything. But I just don't want to, like, give them away and then have somebody have access to all my stuff. Because even if you wipe it clean, there's a way. There's a way to get it back.
Eddie
You never really wipe it clean.
Bobby Bones
It's like my last three laptops are just like sitting at the house in a pile because I don't want to get my computer up.
Eddie
Dude, you know what I used to have, which I feel like be worth a lot is the. The U2 edition iPod.
Bobby Bones
Is it still in the box?
Eddie
No, I left it at a hotel. Oh. You know how, like, some hotels have that little. They used to have the thing where you can put it on the alarm clock. Left it on there.
Bobby Bones
But I think if it's Going to be worth money. It's got to pretty much still be in a box.
Eddie
Oh, like mint. Mint.
Bobby Bones
Well, just new.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So some news. Not mint, but all mint is usually new.
Eddie
I just remember when I bought that thing, it was like I had to go.
Bobby Bones
Or at least shelf when it's newer, like case when it's new.
Eddie
I did like order from like a Best Buy or something that was on the other side of town. I had to wait like weeks to get it. That was. That was hard to get.
Bobby Bones
Do you see the plane crash in Maine?
Eddie
No.
Bobby Bones
Private jet, a business jet carrying eight people crash during takeoff in Bangor, Maine last night. The twin engine Challenger 600 went down shortly after taking off from Bangor national Airport around 7:45pm Eastern Time. The airport was closed after the crash. Weather conditions at the time included a temperature of about 2 degrees and windchill of minus 13 and light snow. They're investigating the cause. NBC News.
Eddie
They all die?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think so. But none of that screams weather is creating a problem. Unless the weather had created a problem in the plane already. That wasn't addressed, but it doesn't say why. I saw that Super Bowl 60, as we mentioned, is a rematch from 11 years ago and that one worked out in your favor. As a Patriot fan, what do you remember about that game? Do you think it was over when it was like on the one yard line and all they had to do is give it to Marshawn for the win?
Kevin
Oh yeah. I mean we, as a Boston fan, we've been through many big games and that game stick out the most to me just because it was the ultimate low to the ultimate high like that. And I just remember Malcolm Butler picking it and he just couldn't believe it. And I think I flipped the table. I was so excited.
Bobby Bones
I remember that game. I was at my condo in downtown Nashville and I just remember the interception being like what? Like it was over. Just hand the ball, hand the ball. Marshawn Lynch.
Eddie
Did we have a party? There was one one that we had a party. Your house at that condo.
Bobby Bones
Possibly. Maybe everybody had gone home by then though, for the most part.
Eddie
Maybe.
Bobby Bones
But yeah, that's what's up. All right. That's the episode. Thank you everybody for being here. Eddie, anything else before you go?
Eddie
No, man, just.
Bobby Bones
Oh.
Eddie
I ended up helping my wife with that concession stand I was telling you guys about. Yeah, at a basketball game, by the way, high school basketball games, they go off. I had no idea. I've never really been to a high school basketball game, but like apparently the two teams that were playing were, like, both undefeated. And I feel like the whole town was there.
Bobby Bones
Really?
Eddie
It was really, really cool. And my wife worked the concession stand, and, dude, she made. She said she made, like, $2,000.
Bobby Bones
She didn't.
Eddie
Well, the school did.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you made it sound like she did. You made it sound like she's running the drug ring. The Canadian snowboarder.
Eddie
Dude, the game was, what, like an hour and a half long? At most? Two hours. She said she made the concessions. They made $2,000 selling popcorn, pizza, and Skittles. Unbelievable. We need to get in the concession business.
Bobby Bones
But you can't just get in the concession business because they do it for charity, for the most part, or for the school.
Eddie
How can you get into it, though? Can you go. You know how they have soccer games at the park? Like youth soccer?
Bobby Bones
You put a little thing on, like a little board on your popcorn, Peanuts.
Eddie
Pickles, peanuts, all that. Dude, if she's making 2,000 in two hours, we can make a lot of money doing that.
Bobby Bones
Kevin, anything from you?
Kevin
Yeah, we talked to Abby earlier, and I wanted to ask her if she. I texted her after the game yesterday. I said, hey, can you get a picture for me of the trophy championship ceremony going on? And she never texted me back, so I want to see if she got that picture or not.
Bobby Bones
If I were her, I would have left.
Eddie
No, it sounded like she had to get out of there pretty quick.
Bobby Bones
If it's not my team, I am getting out of there quick. I'm out. All right, thank you, guys. Hope you have a great rest of the day. Hope you have a great week. Hope you're safe. Hope you're warm. And now I gotta go back to home where it's cold, where we sit next to a fireplace. I just got a text, too, Sam. They don't think the power is going to be up possibly this week.
Eddie
I just saw an article come out about that. They're looking like the end of the week for power to come back. Honestly, man, you look at what we saw driving in, like, I don't think the power company knows where to start. There are so many power lines down. Where do you even start to fix this thing?
Bobby Bones
Crazy. Thank you, guys. We will see you later on this week. And I think that'll do it. Blow the whistle. All right, see you guys next week. Bye, everybody. Theme song written by Bobby Bones.
