Bobby Bones
We're here with pro tight end Dallas Goddard to share his journey with plaque psoriasis and how he tackles his symptoms with Otezla. Aprimolast.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, being a football player with plaque.
Eddie Garcia
Psoriasis can be challenging. My skin gets flaky and itchy, so my doctor told me about a pill, otla. It works from the inside out.
Bobby Bones
OTTLA is a prescription medicine used to treat adult patients with plaque psoriasis for whom phototherapy or systemic therapy is appropriate. OTTLA can help you get clearer skin after just four months. Dallas is an Otzla patient that has been compensated for his time. Dallas, don't use OTESLA if you're allergic to it. Get medical help right away if you have trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat or arms, severe diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, depression, suicidal thoughts or weight loss can happen. Tell your doctor if any of these occur and if you have a history of depression or suicidal thoughts.
Eddie Garcia
Talking to my doctor about a pill was a total game changer.
Bobby Bones

Mike DiStefano
This is a podcast called.
Dallas Goddard
25 Whistles Talking Football and they all wear a whistle yet Stupid. But why did you expect. It's a podcast called 25 Whistles. Hey. Oh, Eddie, blow the whistle.
Kevin
All right.
Dallas Goddard
We went to the super bowl last night. It's terrible game.
Kevin
That sounds so cool, though.
Dallas Goddard
It is. And it'll be something that will get cooler the farther away you get from it. And I got very fortunate the times I got to go because it wasn't because I had anything to do with going. So. And I could kind of give you the flip. We'll do super bowl first. The game sucked. We'd remove all betting aside because I lost every bet I made.
Kevin
Yes, let's take that out.
Dallas Goddard
So I lost every. But that's okay. I think just full transparency. I think I lost like $3,000 last night. I. I kept loading up when the Chiefs were getting further and further down because I just. I think like most of America had an expectation that Patrick Mahomes would be Superman. Instead, he was. I don't even want to say Wonder Woman because she's superhero, too. And that would be very sexist. So what I will say is he turned out to be.
Kevin
I don't know who's one of the bad ones.
Dallas Goddard
I don't know. I'M trying to think because even the bad guys, like the Villains are pretty good or they wouldn't have made it to the major leagues. Fights the superheroes. You know what I mean? Right, right, right. So I'll just say it was bad. It was a terrible performance. But I don't think that it was a Patrick Mahomes sucks performance as much as it was. That Kansas City offensive line, they have been patching it together all year. You got a guard playing tackle. You got them barely winning a bunch of games. You have. And. And more than that, you had that front four from Philadelphia that just dominated.
Kevin
Dominated.
Dallas Goddard
They. What was it like? The second lowest blitz rate in all, all time. And when your front four are getting pressure and allows everybody else to not have to blitz, it's very difficult. And Mahomes had no time to do anything. So, yeah, it's a bad game for Patrick Mahomes. But if we've seen if Patrick Mahomes is any time to do anything. He does. He had no time. Dude, he was getting sacked.
Bobby Bones
Sacked. Sack. Sack.
Dallas Goddard
So bad game. Good for the Eagles. Very passionate fans. They're annoying, but I like that. I like passionate, annoying fans because that means they're really passionate that the arena was 85%, 75% Eagles fans, probably.
Kevin
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Dallas Goddard
And if you're a Chiefs fan, you're the only team to ever have a shot at a three peat. That's pretty cool. You didn't win. It sucks. You would have loved to have been the first team to ever do it because then you'd have been in the conversation of the greatest dynasty ever. But now it's going to take another three years or so for them to get back to that. Hey, are they now the greatest dynasty? And is Patrick Mahomes the greatest ever? I think he had an argument if he was the first one to three Pete. Now he's got to get seven, possibly eight rings to beat Brady or do something like three peat. So Patriots fans, big sigh of relief. Patrick Mahomes, not a good game. Travis Kelce, not a good game. But mostly it was that the Eagles had an awesome game. Eagles were fantastic.
Reed Yarberry
Beautiful day to be a Patriot fan.
Dallas Goddard
We had fair seats. I don't know. They're fine. But in the super bowl, every seat.
Kevin
I thought they were good.
Dallas Goddard
Listen, I looked before I went on. I didn't want to say it to everybody. I could have sold all six tickets. $17,000. And that's just money I just could have kept. But yeah, this is the but I didn't spend that for them. So it wasn't like I lost the money. And you'll hear the scavenger hunt as we move on here. So I don't even want it to be like I spent that because I didn't I. As part of my contract with NFL. Part of. Cause I get paid actual money too, believe it or not. But they also buy the NFL. Give me. Yes, give me four tickets. And they were like, hey, you can use them or you can sell them. It wasn't like I had to be there. But what I needed to be there for was to do a bunch of the interviews. You'll hear Emmett Smith and Deion Sanders coming up. So I didn't spend it on it, but I had them. And then I got. It's coming up, right, Mike. All that. So I didn't want to say everything that happened. You can listen to it if you'd like. I think it was really fun week. I'm exhausted. So this first segment is not going to be long because we were gone Tuesday until we got back Monday morning in time to do the radio show. Like, I went to bed at 2am and the show started at 5.
Kevin
Man, the night was quick.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, it was. It was. And I. I'll but this audience, I'll have full transparency because this is not a gen pop audience on gen pop show radio show. It's a little more hey. Because people are passive listening. Don't say things that could alienate people or make them feel differently. It's a different environment. If you listen, broadcast when there's passive listening, versus if you guys are here with us, you know, us. And I feel like I can say things with nuance and you'll have an understanding of it. So this next story, I say because of that, we go to the game. We have to get back to work. So we fly privately from New Orleans right after the game, back to Nashville. So we go to the private airport. We have a plane and there's. There's eight of us. It's our whole crew. Plus I won't blow their spots up. Not that there's anything to blow up. But it was just two people that I work with in other capacities. They were flying back and in case they didn't tell their wives or something. I don't know. It just doesn't matter who it was. They're not, they weren't up to no good. I just, it's just not, it's, you.
Kevin
Know, it's not their story. Yeah, whatever.
Dallas Goddard
So this is a couple small stories from Afterward. So obviously the President was there. And whenever the President's somewhere. And I've had this happen before, nobody goes anywhere.
Kevin
The President was at the game.
Dallas Goddard
Yes and no. And. And his plane was at the airport.
Kevin
Was he at our airport?
Dallas Goddard
Well, that's the airport.
Kevin
Oh, dang.
Dallas Goddard
That's the. That. Well, that's the biggest private airport. That's where. That's where he was.
Kevin
Wow.
Dallas Goddard
Until he went up, we couldn't go. And not only that, you have to reserve slots out. Usually I only say this to you guys because I know you don't think we're any different, better or worse. When I tell these stories, usually what happens is if you're flying private, it doesn't matter. When you. If you say you get 11:00 flight, you get to 11:20, 11:30, it don't matter. There's no TSA. You just get on with your bag of crap and you just go. And the pilots are there and you just do your thing. Because the super bowl, it just lined up. You had to purchase a slot to get out, so you could be sure to get out. And we get to the private airport and it's jammed. And I've never seen so many rich people in my life. Like, it's just crazy. Like I got. I would say I have new work money, meaning I have new money. And if I'm gonna spend it like this, it's for work. Cause I gotta get back. Because we had to do the radio show. So I'm only doing that whenever it's like we. We gotta do it. Cause we didn't do that down there. We took a tour bus down there. Cause we were stopping in other places. And so we get in. We can't leave because the President hasn't left yet. They thought he was going to leave way earlier. He stayed later. So we're just standing around and we ended up getting out at an okay time. But I think the awkwardish. There are certain rules that I've had to learn the hard way about when you go into these little airports. Sometimes you see famous people in there and it's. Don't like just play it cool. It's like. I don't know what I would compare it to. Like backstage in an award show when I first I had to learn the rules. You're backstage at an award show, play it cool. I never. Sometimes I don't want to play it cool. I was like, this is crazy. I had to kind of stop Kevin last night from taking a picture of Adam Sandler in the private Airport.
Reed Yarberry
But he looked at me and put his knuckles out. And he was like, what's up, man?
Dallas Goddard
Well, you were talking about the Eagles. And he was rooting for the Eagles. And Kevin grabs his phone and throws his camera open. Is going to take a picture. I'm like, do not take a picture of Adam Sandler in the private airport. And then Kevin. Okay, sorry.
Reed Yarberry
He could not be any more open. Like, he was loving it. And I didn't go up to him. He came up to me and he was like, what's up? Yeah, Eagles, blah, blah, blah. So I was like, perfect timing. I didn't have to go up to him, make it awkward.
Dallas Goddard
He didn't go up to. He was getting food right by our table. Like, he was. His back was at that little thing. And then Kevin, who probably was drunk a little bit.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, I was having a good time. It was a great night, right? Won money and was won. Chiefs loss. It was beautiful.
Dallas Goddard
Was, like, loud. And Adam Sandler turns around and looks at him and goes, yeah. Throws his knuckles out. And then Kevin takes his phone. I was like, do not take a picture of somebody. It was super cool. It was Adam Sandler. I would have loved to went and got a picture. Like, I was like. And so was Mike and I were both like, oh, man, that was so awesome. Adam Sandler was like, my list of, like, top seven influences ever. And so I at one point, had to be taught these rules. And it's a. It's a hard rule to learn. And so last night, Kevin got a lesson in why we're not good at being around those kind of people. Just in general.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, I regret it. I should have done it.
Dallas Goddard
Oh, I should have done it. You. Wait, say that again.
Reed Yarberry
I said I should have done it. He was open for it. He was ready.
Dallas Goddard
You regret what?
Bobby Bones
No.
Reed Yarberry
Not going through with the picture.
Dallas Goddard
He wasn't. He didn't want you to take a picture. You made a loud noise, and he looked at you because you, like, like, scared him. And then he was like, yeah. And he throws his knuckles out. He probably did that to shut down the photo. Yes. Yeah. And Kevin just grabbed his phone. I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, I don't know. You guys are pretty sour after the game. I was having a good time. I saw it differently.
Dallas Goddard
Are you still drunk?
Kevin
It sounds like it. And, like, we weren't sour. You were just on a different level.
Dallas Goddard
I wasn't sour at all. I had a. No, no, I don't. I won't bet enough at an event like that to ruin the event. If it's like a. An event that I don't have a team in. Listen, if Arkansas been playing, I'd have been defeated. But no, I wasn't even 1% sour.
Reed Yarberry
Okay.
Dallas Goddard
I think you. I think.
Reed Yarberry
No, no, I'm not arguing. I'm just saying I was having a good time and Reed was having a. And we were like, dang, so down.
Dallas Goddard
Don't put Reed in. Don't put Reed into it. Cuz you were drunk and loud. And all I. All it was was, hey, don't. The same rule I had to learn, can't take pictures in here because then they'll. They put you in like rich person jail. I don't ever want to go to rich person jail. Although it might be nice. Is that where Chris Lee is?
Kevin
In Florida somewhere?
Dallas Goddard
Yes. So. So we flew back, got back all good. We're back. We're tired. I had to work hard to drink enough water not to lose my voice. Like that's always a constant for me because the Post Malone pre show, we were at that.
Kevin
The tailgate.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. And it was awesome. And I wanted to sing, but then I got to think, oh, I got to be responsible. And so I'm like. Had some help. I'm kind of just moving my mouth, but I don't want to blow my voice out.
Kevin
I totally get that.
Dallas Goddard
But I drank a lot of water. Was, you know, we in the end had a good time. I think I'm gonna go take a nap. You can listen to the rest of the show. I don't think anybody was sour though. Do you mind? Like, nobody was. I think Kevin was just drunk.
Reed Yarberry
I was having a good time. I had a great night. It just seemed like everyone. And maybe you guys are just tired. I don't know.
Kevin
You keep calling it a great night though. Kevin, just say, like, man, I was. I was buzzing. Like I was drunk.
Reed Yarberry
I said I was.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah.
Reed Yarberry
I was like, yeah, I was feeling good.
Dallas Goddard
He keeps calling, but I think he's still drunk. I honestly think he's still drunk.
Reed Yarberry
No, I've been sober for a while now.
Kevin
Eddie sounds like an addict.
Dallas Goddard
Eddie, you're looking. Do you think there's any chance he's still buzzing? But to be fair, we just got home a few hours ago.
Kevin
Yeah, yeah, I think. I think now at this point of the day, I think tiredness could be mistaken as tired. Yeah, yeah.
Reed Yarberry
Everyone here is tired.
Dallas Goddard
Did you sleep at all last night?
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, slept. What do we sleep? Three hours, four hours, whatever it was.
Dallas Goddard
But I don't sound. I don't sound topsy turvy. Like, he. Like his voice is right. He sounds out of pocket sounds. Yeah, very much so. You're not drunk at all. Maybe that's. Maybe he's drunk, and that's why this. We're getting the odd version of Kevin right now. The villain Kevin. You know you're completely good. Yeah.
Reed Yarberry
Are you asking me?
Dallas Goddard
He's drunk, guys. I'm telling you.
Reed Yarberry
Did he call him or ask me? I don't know what you're doing. I don't know what to go. I mean, he said, I'm as sober as can be. Been here. We've been here all morning.
Kevin
Bobby. This sounds like. This sounds like a cop cam. Like, right now.
Dallas Goddard
The more he talks, the worse it gets for him. How much to take a breathalyzer? Yes. I w. We had one.
Reed Yarberry
Come do it. I'm ready.
Kevin
That's funny.
Dallas Goddard
Even, like, before we came on, I was like, hey, how long is this episode? How long do we have? And it just felt kind of weird. Kevin was like, we have 30 minutes. I was like, I can't be true. And he was like, okay, let me go check again when he comes back. 22 minutes or something else like, that can't be true. I said, I'm gonna put my headphones. I'm taking my headphones off. I got some other stuff to work on. We'll meet back in 10 minutes. Let me know how much audio we have. And so we look at it, and Mike's like, we have, like, 50 something minutes. Kevin comes back, and he's like, duh, 50 minutes. And I was like, oh, okay. Well, that's different because. Well, that's what I said. I said we had 30 plus the interview. And I was like, well. And then he got kind of angry, but he's drunk now. It makes sense. Yeah. No, dude, I'm telling you, this is hilarious.
Reed Yarberry
No, before. Before the interviews, I said, without the interviews, we have, like, 30 to 30.
Dallas Goddard
Why would we ever. Why would we ever not count an interview in the history of, like, how much time do we have for audience?
Reed Yarberry
Because you said, how much time is all the other stuff that we have?
Dallas Goddard
I never said 30. 35. I know. It doesn't matter. Except now I think Kevin's drunk, and that's Kevin.
Kevin
You feeling good, man?
Reed Yarberry
Feeling great. Got any extra alcohol over there?
Dallas Goddard
Let's vote. Do we think he's still a little buzzed? And then we'll go, Eddie, I'm gonna go.
Kevin
Yay.
Dallas Goddard
You guys convinced me I wasn't totally convinced either. Kevin's, like, the nicest, like, sweetest guy, and he's been a little aggressive this morning, and so I knew there was something off. But that is funny. Now it's funny.
Reed Yarberry
I'm not drunk. I'm definitely sleep depressed.
Dallas Goddard
Oh, now it's fake yawning, though. Now it's fake yawning to the officer.
Reed Yarberry
I was gonna go the other way.
Dallas Goddard
Through the fake yawn. He's fake yawning to the cop cam. Okay, Mike, you're not. Time to vote. I was convinced he was just tired until that fake yawn came in. Like he's really selling it. Yeah, selling it hard. Watch, Officer. I can jump on one foot backwards.
Reed Yarberry
Go, Eagles.
Kevin
Oh, my.
Dallas Goddard
But you're not even an Eagles fan.
Reed Yarberry
I was last night. I was hugging Eagles fans, man. It was freaking awesome because. Because they were winning. Pick six won money. Eagles won, Chiefs lost. It was beautiful.
Dallas Goddard
Pig skin. He's just saying stuff to helmets. Nachos, Jambalaya. Okay, we. I don't know what we're going to first, but let's go to something. Okay.
Reed Yarberry
Let's get out of here.
Dallas Goddard
Okay, we're going to get out of here. Let's get Kevin some water and set him down.
Kevin
Get him a black coffee.
Dallas Goddard
Yes. Is that what it is? That way you get somebody.
Kevin
Yeah, yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Okay, we're going to go to you and Eddie at the stage. Okay. At the stage.
Kevin
Yeah. With.
Dallas Goddard
We're on stage. Yeah. Oh, you're talking about studio. The set. Stage. Okay, the set. Thank you. This is our episode today. As you can tell, Kevin went to the Super Bowl. As you can really can tell, Kevin went to the Super Bowl. But you can hear how all that went down. Thank you, guys. And here is the episode. Last night, we went to NFL honors. We had pretty good seats. Second row, right behind. I'd say Joe Burrow and Ja'marr Chase. And the camera was on them at parts of the night for significant amounts of time, and they put them together on purpose because obviously it's a Bengals quarterback who was up for a couple different awards and arguably the best receiver in the game. So as they are roasting Joe Burrow or doing jokes about Joe Burrow, there.
Kevin
We are right behind him.
Dallas Goddard
Right behind him. And we have to react. You have to, like, over. You have to at least be aware that your face is on. So if you're not paying attention or you're not laughing at the appropriate amount, you're gonna look like a douche. And if you look at the camera, you look like a douche. So I think we played it perfectly.
Kevin
My goal was to not look at Joe Burrow when they were talking about him, because, you know, you watch, like, the Oscars or any kind of awards show, and you see people behind them, and they're talking about, say, Snoop. Right. And everyone behind him is looking at Snoop. Like, what's he reacting? I was like, do not look at Joe. Do not look at Joe.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, I guess I didn't think about that.
Kevin
I looked.
Dallas Goddard
Right. I just watched Snoop tell his jokes. Yeah, that's right. I got a lot. A lot of pictures. I tagged the pictures, like, you and Eddie are at the award. I got more of that than I did presenting an award, probably because it was way earlier in the show, too.
Kevin
Well, what's funny is, you know, like, NFL posts, the reels about all this stuff, and we got tagged on so many of those posts of just like, is that Bobby Bones? Is that producer Eddie?
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. There's a meme with Joe Burrow and just my head right behind him. The NFL posted, and it's just Joe Burrow laughing. And, like, perfectly squared up is my face right over his shoulder.
Kevin
I think the main. The main thing that they did clip Bones was the. You know, the. The joke about the Batmobile. The Batmobile. And I guess they're trying to make a thing out of how Joe was laughing, and then he got serious. But they made fun of his defense.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. And also I would bet he knew that was coming.
Kevin
Oh, like, to give him a heads up, probably. Because even, like. Like, say, like, the joke was about you and whatever, but he needs, like, a better best friend. You would be, like, not funny.
Dallas Goddard
You would at least have to act it out, even if you felt like maybe they were on to something.
Kevin
Right.
Dallas Goddard
But we saw Belichick.
Kevin
Oh, yeah. And his girl. And his girl.
Dallas Goddard
I was backstage after I had finished doing my presentation with Kyle Juszczyk. It was super nice. Lart. He's kind of personality tall. He went to Harvard.
Kevin
No, I didn't know that. Wow.
Dallas Goddard
I'm almost positive he went to Harvard.
Kevin
Like, because he's a good football player. Because he's smart.
Dallas Goddard
Because I think I saw it on his Instagram.
Kevin
Okay.
Dallas Goddard
Like, if I think back why I knew that. No, he's super nice. I mean, he was just normal. It's not even that he was super nice or not nice, because if I say super nice, it feels like he was trying to be nice. Everybody was just normal. I kind of was just put in with a group of people and Everybody was just a peer. And I'm really not a peer in that group, but because I was in the group, they just accepted me as a peer. So I was back there with Snoop and Belichick, and because there's a holding room and Juszczyk was back there, a couple other guys that were just big. So I knew they had to be a player. But I don't wanna be like, which one are you?
Kevin
Oh, like physically big.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, like much players.
Kevin
Right.
Dallas Goddard
And the worst thing that I could have done is go, hey, which one are you?
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
So I just kind of ate some ham back there in the little ham station.
Kevin
They're good food back there.
Dallas Goddard
No, just small food. It was like a full meal. Did my thing on stage. I presented to George Kittle for the usaa, like, the Salute to Service award. And as we're doing the speech, George Kittle tries to get up and accept the award early, which would have thrown timing off because a video has to run. And George Kittle has a big personality, obviously. If you watch 49ers and know him, you know, he's all. He's all over the place, like, super funny, larger than life. He starts to get up, and in the middle of my speech, I'm like, do I stop? And I'm like, george, hold on. George, hold on. And then I go back to the prompter. And I didn't know how it came off. I never even asked how it came off, because if it didn't come off good, I didn't want to know. And two different NFL guys stopped me last night, and they were like, hey, we're glad you said that. Because George was gonna walk up on stage. Yeah. And they were like, it came off great.
Kevin
Like, so you knew the format of the presentation. Like you're gonna say something. They're playing a video because we had.
Dallas Goddard
To be way to be moved.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Because we were standing on one part of the stage. They run a big video overhead that runs on tv. And then when it comes back, we're at the front of the stage. And Kittle's not supposed to come up to. We're at the front of the stage.
Kevin
And what he. Because I didn't look back. So what did he do? He got.
Dallas Goddard
He start. He stands up. He's two rows behind us. He stands up and starts to walk toward it. And. And he stands up enough that I know he's not kidding. Because you could do, like, where you just kind of flint. Like, you're just kind of play. No, he's up and I'm like, george, wait. We haven't even said it's George yet. Is the funny thing we never. I don't think we said George was the winner.
Kevin
I think you did.
Dallas Goddard
We did. Okay. You had mentioned, whatever the case, he's ready to go. And he knew because his speech was in the prompter. He knew that was an award he knew he won. And it was a, you know, military service award, so he wanted to be able to say the right things. So that was good. We finished. It was kind of a mess getting our car, but we found it.
Kevin
We ended up walking to our car.
Dallas Goddard
We did. There's just a lot of people, but again, a lot of really cool people that you can just look around and be like, holy crap, we can't believe we see this person. I ended up talking to the Chargers owners last night.
Kevin
Owners of the Chargers.
Dallas Goddard
And I was like, hey, congratulations. Like, they need me to say it. Like, I'm the one guy.
Kevin
Thank you, Bobby.
Dallas Goddard
Well, I think they also were like, why are we talking to eat? But I was thinking that, and they were thinking that, and it was real. They were really nice.
Kevin
Was this when you were talking to Ron Rivera, too? Were they all in the same area?
Dallas Goddard
So, yeah, somebody grabbed me and said, hey, come talk to coach. You want to say hi to you. There's a hundred coaches there. Yeah. So I didn't know which coach it was, and I'm like, okay. And I go. And it was Ron Rivera, who was on our show a few weeks ago, and he's awesome. I'm like, hey, congrats on your job at Cal. We're talking about that. And as I'm walking off, whomever it was that introduced me to Ron Rivera says, oh, and these are the owners of the Chargers. And I'm like, I have nothing to say. I don't know. I don't even. I know nothing. Yeah. I don't know what. So I'm like. And they also were the same. Go, oh, there's. I see Deion Sanders right there. We're gonna have to break in a second because he's about to come up here. I'll finish the story in just a second. But they. Is he stopping by or no? Is he walking another place?
Kevin
Still walking.
Dallas Goddard
Okay.
Kevin
And they're turning towards our direction.
Dallas Goddard
Are they coming up here?
Kevin
But they are going to another stage.
Dallas Goddard
Okay, good. Perfect. He's probably going over there.
Kevin
Yes.
Dallas Goddard
He has, like, 20 people around him, so he didn't see us. Yes. I saw him last night, though. It was awesome. Yeah. So I Mean, I talked to him.
Kevin
Keep going with your story.
Dallas Goddard
Okay. So they pull me from Ron Rivera, and I'm just with the Chargers people, and they think that somebody prominent's talking to them because somebody's introduced them. And I'm like, they're like, it's the guy from Weezer. We both were like, we should stay in this for a second because we think we're talking to somebody, so let's just be nice. And I was like, congrats on your team. And they were like, thanks. I was like, hey, how about that one year? I know what to say, dude.
Kevin
The good thing, you can come up with something. Because I would have been like, justin Herbert's so good.
Dallas Goddard
Well, then I did a mini TED Talk on culture. I was like, you guys did it. You set the culture. And I'm just looking to get out of there. Not because I don't like them, I don't know them. And also, no, they don't know me. And neither one of us really want to be here very long waiting on our cars. And so I'm like, all right, great. Congrats, Good luck. Next year, I'll be rooting for you guys. And we walk off, and that's when I walk to you. And I go, we gotta go.
Kevin
We gotta find our car.
Dallas Goddard
Cuz I didn't want to stand next to them after I said I already had to go.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
So that's why we went walking down the street to find our car.
Kevin
Yeah. So I've never been part of that kind of experience. You know when, like, you see, like the award shows and afterwards, everyone's waiting to get their car and all these cars show up and they start yelling like, jamar, chase, Jamar, chase, your car's here. And a few times I feel like either Jamar, I think it was Belichick, lost his ride. Because they were like, we're not waiting anymore.
Dallas Goddard
No Bill Belichick. Moving on.
Kevin
Yep.
Dallas Goddard
So we did that. And our driver, whose name was Eugene, was like, super. It was great. And so we were like, eugene, we're hungry. And it was hard to get anything to eat in the middle of New Orleans because it's the super bowl and everything is packed and things that are normal aren't even normal. They're rented out by other things. So we're like, can you drive us somewhere to get some food? And. Because the NFL picked the car, so let's use the car. So he's like, yeah, no problem. So we go and he takes us to, like, this old.
Kevin
It was a Corner. What do you call it? Like, a store? Is this, like.
Dallas Goddard
I would. I would have called a gas station, but it has no gas.
Kevin
There's no gas on the corner of a building.
Dallas Goddard
And it's old. It looks like the package has been there for 20. Like, the oatmeal pie's been there for 20 years.
Kevin
Everything's really tight.
Dallas Goddard
It felt like a New York bodega. And then what they call it outside, it felt like a New York store on a corner. So we go in. You barely take your elbows and push them out because it's so tight. And he's like, order the Murfreesboro.
Kevin
No, that's not what it was called.
Dallas Goddard
Don't know what it was called. What was it called?
Kevin
I don't know.
Dallas Goddard
Order.
Kevin
Order the Mufas Lava, Something like that. It was like, Mufasa.
Dallas Goddard
And he goes, and get it hot. So we walk in, and we're like, what? We're not even at a restaurant. I thought he was taking us to a restaurant. We'll take two Murphys Burros. One. I can't eat cheese now. It sucks. And it is with cheese. And so we get on, we drive back to the. They did.
Kevin
Look at you. We were there. Like, no cheese.
Dallas Goddard
I think the whole thing's cheese. Yeah.
Kevin
Like Mufasa with no cheese.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. So we get these, and we go back to our Muffalada.
Kevin
Muffalada.
Dallas Goddard
That's it. We go back to our rooms. We have. We're at different hotels, but we go back to our rooms, and I eat it. It's pretty good. It's pretty good. I think. You don't like olives.
Kevin
It's olive based. Like, whatever is the spread is olive based. And so I don't. I can't stand olives. So I think it could have been good if I liked olives, but to me, the olives kind of just ruined it for me.
Dallas Goddard
I think it was pretty good. And I don't mind find olives, but, like, my stomach's a little weird today.
Kevin
Oh, really?
Dallas Goddard
I. Maybe my stomach just remembers what the gas station looked like. Yeah, it was not.
Kevin
Well, it was. It was pretty greasy. And. And we ate it late, so it's never really good to eat that late and then go to sleep.
Dallas Goddard
I'm a little unsettled, if I'm being honest. Yeah. And. And usually I know what the unsettling is from, and I think that's about it, Bones.
Kevin
I'm on a bat. We're on a bad streak, dude. Gumbo, late night gumbo could be all that late night mufaladas. Just not good.
Dallas Goddard
So we're back here again today, and we got some pretty good guests again. We just saw Deion Sanders walk by, and we almost cut because I didn't know if he was coming up here or not.
Kevin
Did you want to talk about Ron Rivera or do you want to save that? You told me there's a good story about that.
Dallas Goddard
We'll save it. I don't remember the story. That sucks. We'll save it, because I don't remember it right now. But I did see Dion last night. I was about to go on stage, and he was sitting there because he was going out, I think. Did he go up for the hall of Fame when they pulled the hall of Famers?
Kevin
No, he presented.
Dallas Goddard
He did. Okay.
Kevin
He presented with a Belichick.
Dallas Goddard
Okay. I never saw that because I was backstage, so it was when they pulled me back. So I see him sitting on the side, and he comes up and he hugs me, and he goes, look at you. Look at you. So proud of you. I'm like, what? And, like, right as soon as, like, we're about to talk at all, someone grabs me and goes, bobby, you got to go on stage. So I did not get to talk to him last night, but he was wearing, like, all black and had on sunglasses, and I was like, man, I wish I looked like that.
Kevin
I know a lot of those guys, like, even Jaden Daniels had sunglasses and.
Dallas Goddard
So cool.
Kevin
I wish we could do that.
Dallas Goddard
I'm in, like, a pink bowling shirt today.
Kevin
You know what? Last night, too, and you did tell me, and I just kind of ignored it, but I might have been the only person there without a suit.
Dallas Goddard
You were underdressed. Yeah, you were, for sure.
Kevin
Definitely underdressed. But everyone on TV that saw me said I didn't even notice because that's what I was worried about. Every time I saw one of those headset guys come by, I thought they're going to say, like, you have to go in the back.
Dallas Goddard
Well, you only see, like, nipples from the people sitting there. But you also had a sling on.
Kevin
Well, and I think the sling kind of looks like maybe a collar.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. So that's. That's the story. Now we have a bunch of guests, so we're going to take a break, and we will come back with, hopefully the guests that show up. Also, Kevin's trying to finish. Finish the scavenger hunt.
Kevin
He's on a mission. Yeah, he looks like a hawk, and when he sees prey, he just starts running towards him.
Dallas Goddard
So by the time this airs, it will have already happened. You'll already know the result, but you're in a time machine. As of right now, we do not know if Kevin has gotten anybody.
Kevin
Yes.
Dallas Goddard
So that's it. All right. Take a break. We'll come back.
Bobby Bones
We're here with pro tight end Dallas Goddard to share his journey with plaque psoriasis and how he tackles his symptoms with otesla. Apremolast.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, being a football player with plaque.
Eddie Garcia
Psoriasis can be challenging. My skin, it's flaky and itchy. So my doctor told me about a pill, otla. It works from the inside out.
Bobby Bones

It was basically Cowboys Day. This is a guy who I love. I've talked about him openly a lot. Has become a good friend of mine. Deion Sanders, Coach Prime One of the greatest Athletes to ever play. He obviously was in the NFL, played in the major leagues, did in the same day as well. Like played baseball same day, which is crazy. He won two Super Bowls. NFL defensive player of the year, six time, first team all pro. The list goes on. Big thanks to Coach prime for joining us. Here he is, Deion Sanders. Emmett, great to see you again.
Emmett Smith
Likewise, my friend.
Dallas Goddard
I was on Rich Eisen a few weeks ago. Rich loves you. I love you. And I was just telling the greatest hype story I ever got. Was me alone, about to dance my final dance. Seeing you in the hallway and you being like, you got this far. Ain't nothing you can do but do what you've been doing. And I was like, I got like a tear, slapped the wall, Played like a champion, walked out, won the mirror. It's my favorite.
Emmett Smith
Oh, no, I'm glad. I'm glad I was able to inspire you to your level of greatness.
Dallas Goddard
And I didn't even let chase you. It was like God put us together in a random hallway in a studio. Oh, so super bowl wise, do you travel with your rings when you come to a Super bowl and you do this?
Emmett Smith
I don't even wear my rings. I don't even know. I haven't seen my rings in over 10 years.
Dallas Goddard
Where are they stored somewhere?
Emmett Smith
They're in the safety deposit box, bro.
Kevin
That makes sense, man.
Dallas Goddard
I think, yeah. So we. We have friends. They got the fake trophy. You have a trophy?
Emmett Smith
I don't even know what a trophy.
Dallas Goddard
You know you played, right? Like, you know you played. You have some.
Mike DiStefano
Yeah, I do remember I played.
Emmett Smith
And yeah, yeah, that part I get. But the trophy is probably put up somewhere in storage. I don't have. I don't have a whole lot of sports marburia in my house anymore.
Dallas Goddard
Is it because there's so much. What's. What's your favorite piece? Like, do you have. What's one thing that you have at the house that it could even be, like, from high school, like, that you love?
Emmett Smith
I don't have nothing at my house.
Dallas Goddard
Is it because you're like, my wife won't allow my mirror ball in the house.
Emmett Smith
I don't even have the mirror ball. Mirror ball is in my restaurant in Vegas. And some of my high school stuff is in my. Out in my restaurant in Vegas. So I put a lot of the memorabilia stuff out there in Vegas so people who comes out to the restaurant get a chance to come see it. I even got high school jerseys out there.
Dallas Goddard
I have.
Emmett Smith
I have a jersey when I was 12 years old. That's out there as well. Well wore number 45 like that Florida like back.
Dallas Goddard
Back in.
Emmett Smith
Back when I was back in Pensacola playing little league football. Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
That's awesome. Yeah.
Kevin
Emmett, what was. What hit do you remember the most? Like I'm a huge one my mama.
Emmett Smith
Gave me when I was 15. That's the one I remember the most. Most hit that you don't remember is because you got knocked out and I got knocked out one time.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. When you were playing as a 12, 13 year old, did you play every position? Were you the guy every position does like put it. We could put him at quarterback.
Emmett Smith
Yeah, yeah, I did all of that. I did. Matter of fact our starting quarterback when I was 12 years old, Jody Egger broke his arm a week before a playoff game or championship game. A playoff game really. And. And I was. We ran like the wishbone and so they moved me from that put me back at quarterback. They kept moving me around quarterback and then the game got tight. They put me at the quarterback position. Just told me to just keep running.
Dallas Goddard
What level of ball all to you did you have the most joy?
Emmett Smith
Probably, probably pop warning high school. It was. It was the most joy because I didn't have the pressures of. Didn't. Didn't think about pressure at the time because I was just out playing football having fun with my friends and so forth. Then when you get to high school then things get a little bit more realer because. A little bit more real because you are actually have the ability to either help a team win or cause a team to lose. And then you start to understand the importance of the game and the importance of your role and then things just change from that point on.
Kevin
I got four boys, they all play sports and I'm in that sports world, you know of just a lot of parents out there, different kinds of sports parents. What kind of sports parent were you though?
Emmett Smith
I was one of those kinds that would lay back allowing coaches to coach my kids. I would talk to my kids about finishing what you start. There's no quitting. You can start this if you don't want to play it again. You got to wait till after the end of the season. We won't, I won't do it again. If my kids had a bad poor attitude on the field, I would definitely yell from wherever I'm at to try to straighten them up. But I allowed them to be kids because I wanted to be a dad. I didn't want to and sometimes I regret that I didn't go in A little bit harder or a little bit more. But I allowed them to have fun and allow them to find their way. And so that's the kind of pops I was. Now I did talk about things and analyze things with them, but pat him on the back. Great job. Hang in there, we'll get the next one.
Dallas Goddard
I was at the game when you broke the record. You were playing. You're playing the Seahawks. It was in Dallas. You broke the. Maybe it was maybe his yard. It's been so long since. But I remember they put the star together. But I remember the Cowboys lost the game, but you had to go up and get the award after the game. And I always felt like, like this is like the front of the paper. Emmett breaks the record.
Emmett Smith
But we lost.
Dallas Goddard
But I was like, but he lost. Yes. That had to be a bittersweet moment. Yeah, it was a regular season game. Yeah. But still it was a loss.
Emmett Smith
It was a bittersweet moment, though. I mean, it was a bittersweet all the way around. Because if you have a chance to do something so significant in terms of becoming the all time leading rusher, doing something no other man on the planet has ever done, you have this vision of how you want it to happen. Just like everyone has a vision how they want their life to go. Well, in my vision, I had Troy handing me the football and I had Daryl Johnson leading me up the. Up the running lane, making the key blocks. I cut off him and get the, get the yardage, had Michael even coming down making a block. And then afterwards we all celebrated together. But that's not life. Life is reality.
Eddie Garcia
It's not.
Emmett Smith
It doesn't happen that way. It's not always the way you want. It's never as perfect as you want it. But here's the thing. Coming up the sideline and not knowing how to even celebrate in the middle of a game, I never did that before. When have I ever. I've never celebrated in the middle of a game. Never seen the football games just actually stop for me. And so outside of being hurt and so coming up the sideline and celebrating with folks I run into, Daryl Johnson didn't even realize he was at the game, but he wasn't in uniform. He was calling the game. Weird moment, but a proud moment because he was so instrumental in terms of helping me achieve that goal. He wasn't on the field playing with me, but he was on the sideline cheering with me. Michael on the sideline, enthusiastically about it. Because I told Michael my rookie year that I wanted to become the all time leader in rush. He laughed at me, but now he's there celebrating with me, understanding how bad I wanted it. James Washington saw my goal list as a true rookie and saw the all time leading rush on it. So he celebrated with me because they. They knew before everyone else knew how important that was to me. And so things just didn't work out. And Troy, I know he wanted to be there.
Dallas Goddard
He.
Emmett Smith
He says he said it during his retirement speech. I believe he wanted to be there one day when I break the record. In his mind, he.
Dallas Goddard
He.
Emmett Smith
In his mind, he's like, you gonna get it. I know he's gonna get it. And he wanted to be the guy to hand me the ball. I wanted him to be that guy too. And so. But as life would have it, we all leave the game at different points in times and nothing is ever perfect. So we always have to adjust to life accordingly, to where things are.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, it was a. It was super moving to watch you get it, but I was like, I know. He's such a team guy too. It's got to be weird that they didn't win the game. And it's like a weird.
Emmett Smith
It is a weird, man. You can't celebrate. How you gonna celebrate?
Dallas Goddard
That's also when I knew the NFL wasn't rigged because they'd have rigged that one for sure if they could have the storm. That was it. Emma, you're here with Narcan. So what's happening here?
Emmett Smith
Yeah, I'm here with Narcan and Emergent. We're talking about opioid overdoses and continuing to spread the word around opioid overdoses, letting people know that even though the national numbers are dropping a little bit, but here in New Orleans, these numbers are steady rising. And so there's more work to be done, but we need everyone's help to pay attention. Most people walk around, well, I don't do drugs. I don't do this, I don't do that. But if some evil threat was to blow something through here that take everybody out in a matter of seconds, it would be fentanyl. And fentanyl can hurt all of us at one point in time. But this, this right here, this Norcan nasal spray, is something that can reverse the opioid overdose effects right away. We have a method called lay, stay, lay spray, stay. And that means lay a person down. Gently insert the nasal spray into someone's nose, give them a couple shots there, call 9-1-1, and stay with the person. We want people to continue to have life the way that we want it and do it in the most respectful way and be able to help and serve another person if that person is in need. There's nothing wrong with being ready and being responsible. And there's nothing more honorable than to help someone in need.
Dallas Goddard
Well, I really appreciate the time. Love. You gotta get one of those rings in someday, though. You gotta get at least one of them, like, out of the deposit box.
Emmett Smith
You know what? I've seen them. I've worn them. I'm past that stage. My kids don't even know what they look like.
Dallas Goddard
Seriously.
Emmett Smith
My kids don't even know what they look like. I had these replica rings in my old house, in my game, in my old house. Big replica rings. They thought those were my super bowl rings.
Kevin
They don't know the difference.
Emmett Smith
They just don't know the difference.
Kevin
Bones, can I ask Emmett one more question? Just one more question? When are we going back to the Super Bowl? Come on, Emmett. One of the Cowboys going back to the Super Bowl.
Emmett Smith
Bro.
Dallas Goddard
Bro, he broed you.
Mike DiStefano
Oh, no, bro, be ready.
Emmett Smith
It could be a minute. And a minute can be a decade.
Dallas Goddard
Okay.
Kevin
All right.
Dallas Goddard
All right. Thanks, Emma.
Kevin
Good to see you.
Emmett Smith
All right, y'all be good.
Dallas Goddard
Take care. Another Dallas Cowboys legend. It was basically Cowboys Day. This is a guy who I love. I've talked about him openly a lot. Has become a good friend of mine, Deion Sanders, Coach prime, one of the greatest athletes to ever play. He obviously was in the NFL, Played in the major leagues. Did in the same day as well. Like, played baseball same day, which is crazy. He won two Super Bowls. NFL Defensive Player of the Year, six time, first team All Pro. The list goes on. Big thanks to Coach prime for joining us. Here he is, Deion Sanders, way back.
Mike DiStefano
Please don't rush this interview. Let me take my time with my guy.
Dallas Goddard
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
Mike DiStefano
Yeah. What we were going to do together. I don't know why God stopped it.
Dallas Goddard
I know I do. So you can do what you're doing now.
Mike DiStefano
We're about to do a show together. I don't know why God stopped it. Why would God stop that? Because it's no way. We weren't supposed to do that.
Dallas Goddard
What if God didn't stop it? What if God was like, this is what he and he should be doing instead? And maybe at some other point, I think.
Mike DiStefano
I think you're right. Because after that, I'm watching you just soar. I'm like, you got to be kidding. This guy's everywhere. That's my Bobby.
Dallas Goddard
I felt a little guilty last night because I wanted to say hi, but you know how the. Because as soon as I came over, gave you a hug, they pulled me back because you were sitting on the street. No, I know. And. And I felt the same way. You tell people how far we go back we spent. Let me say this. I was with Kurt Warner last night. And if your nose was itching, like my grandma used to say, like there were. You can always tell how people feel about somebody when they talk about him when they're not there.
Mike DiStefano
True.
Dallas Goddard
And Kurt Warner loves you.
Mike DiStefano
I love Kurt, though. Kurt is a great dude.
Dallas Goddard
Like, man, we were just. It was just a Dion Love Festival, and so we were talking about you, and I walked back and say, I'm.
Kevin
Trying to say hi.
Dallas Goddard
And Kurt and his wife were excellent. We sat with them for two hours last night, and, oh, my God, you're awesome. Came back, saw you, and Kurt was like, how do you know? How do you know Deon? And I said, well, he let me sit with him at lunch the very first time I went to this cattle call. Deon didn't have to go to the cattle call. I went to the cattle call because nobody even knew who I was.
Mike DiStefano
About a show.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, about a TV show. And I said, I'm there with, like, I make it to the second day, and they have Dion there with, like, the real famous people, and I get elevated from, like, junior varsity to varsity, and nobody. Everybody had their own cliques. And the person that was, like, so inviting was Dion. You could sit here. It's like the Forrest Gump scene. Yeah. And I said. I was like, wow. He was so not so kind. I said, then we just kept working together. It was like we killed it together. It felt like we were just naturally, like, we grew up together. I mean, it just felt like that.
Mike DiStefano
We was crocking in tubs.
Dallas Goddard
And then we worked together for weeks, and we did the show, loved the show. And then some executives changed hands.
Mike DiStefano
They shot it.
Dallas Goddard
They shot it down.
Mike DiStefano
But it was crazy. Like, we. Our whole lives are going to have to change. We're going to have to relocate. And I didn't like that.
Dallas Goddard
And I didn't like that either.
Mike DiStefano
You didn't like that either? And I just couldn't imagine, because I was already thinking forwardly, like, okay, I'm going to have to take my sons, because, you know, I had custody.
Dallas Goddard
You were coaching them, too. You're in high school at the time.
Mike DiStefano
I was coaching.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah.
Mike DiStefano
And I wasn't going to take my Kids and put them in schools in New York. And I don't want to do this. Like, I don't. And it just fell through.
Dallas Goddard
And maybe that's why we didn't do it right then. Yeah. So. But I love you. Like, and you know what's funny is, like, the performer part of you. Like, I understand and I love it. But when people, like, start to slander, like, the person, I get upset.
Mike DiStefano
Like, well, they don't know.
Dallas Goddard
Exactly. Exactly. That that's what it is.
Mike DiStefano
Like, people pass in that lack of knowledge.
Dallas Goddard
They don't know.
Mike DiStefano
They don't know.
Dallas Goddard
But. Yeah, but I'm proud of you, man.
Mike DiStefano
I've seen you sore. I'm talking about sore.
Dallas Goddard
Hey, you coach me in the mvp, the softball game. That's crazy.
Mike DiStefano
Oh, my God, that's crazy. You dominate.
Dallas Goddard
No, that wasn't me. That. You kept me in the. The rules where everybody played one inning. Yeah.
Kevin
I mean, that's my question, Coach. Why'd you keep him in?
Dallas Goddard
Coach Prime's like, bobby ain't leaving. And I was like.
Mike DiStefano
He was hot. You'd go with a hot hand.
Kevin
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mike DiStefano
Bobby not only, like, hitting wise, but fielding like. He was the mvp. He was just showing up and showing out, and he was. See, you got to understand, Bobby's a perfectionist, and he wants to do everything right, and he wants to achieve and go to the highest level. So while everybody's there playing a softball game. He was playing a softball game? No, no, he was trying all.
Dallas Goddard
You wanted to win, too, though. You wanted to win as bad as anybody. Score. Yes. Yes.
Kevin
If they didn't keep score.
Dallas Goddard
I want to win. Long as you keep the score.
Eddie Garcia
I want to win.
Dallas Goddard
Of course.
Mike DiStefano
So I was, like, seeing the talent, like, oh, oh, you can move star.
Dallas Goddard
Skin Hutch back together for that.
Mike DiStefano
Dude, you dominated that game, though, man.
Dallas Goddard
That's fine.
Mike DiStefano
Dominate it.
Dallas Goddard
What's. What's life like in Colorado?
Mike DiStefano
Love it, man.
Dallas Goddard
Like, just living life. Aside from, like, the job. Like, what. What's that vibe? It's.
Mike DiStefano
It's not even a job, man. It's almost like it's.
Dallas Goddard
It's.
Mike DiStefano
It's fun. It's, like, going to be. We never know the voice of our navigational systems that we have on our front phone and cars. But it was like, I'm the navigational system for these young men trying to direct their paths through this and that, to and fro, school, relationships, life. Trying to get them to make sure they sustain for certain things, and they don't take advantage of certain things. I Love it. I love the role that God has me in. I love coaching these young men and being able to form them and shape them. Them and mold them. I love that. You know, the last three semesters, the highest GPA, way over 3.0 in the history of the school. Like, the highest GPA ever for the football team. I. I love all of that. Nobody's going to jail. Nobody's been incarcerated. You know, I love it. I love being a coach.
Kevin
Is your office wide open to anyone?
Mike DiStefano
No. No.
Mark Davis
You can't just come.
Mike DiStefano
I don't play that. And you know what else? You can't come in my office with your shoes on because the carpet is like, that thick, and it's beautiful. And you gotta be accompanied by someone. I don't have private meetings. Always have someone there just in case it goes sideways and you try to claim like this happened or this was said. No, no, I always have a witness in the room or you're coaching for your position. But if they schedule a time with me, they can. But some guys come up. You know, Travis come up there every day. He did. Some guys come whenever they want to because we've established that relationship. But you got to establish the relationship to be able to do that.
Dallas Goddard
When I was growing up, you know, my mom was an addict. I didn't have a dad. So there are people that stepped in my life, like youth pastor, football coach. I feel like that's a responsibility that you. You take with some of those kids, too.
Mike DiStefano
And I love it. I love it. I mean, I think not just football. Some of those kids were called to me, and I was called to them for their lives, to help them navigate through the storm problems and the pain. Because we're gonna have dysfunctions. It's never a time where everything's gonna be right. When you have all this together, some bull jug over there's gonna happen. You have. Then you get that together. Now something over here is gonna happen. So it's gonna be tribulation. And I'm thankful that I've been allowed to go through so much bull junk that I could speak intelligently on all the stuff that they're going through. That's why I'm navigating my sons. When I see Shador sitting up there and they coming at him, and he's sitting in the interview smiling, and just giving it to them and giving it to them professionally. I love it because we prepare for these moments.
Dallas Goddard
How do you, as a dad. Because I think this is a situation that I'm going to have because Circumstantially, we grew up very similar, right?
Mike DiStefano
That's right.
Dallas Goddard
How do you, as a dad. Because your sons are not growing up the same way you did, Right. How do you make sure they have values and they understand what they have and don't have?
Mike DiStefano
Values mean the dough, because most of us are raising cats and not dogs. What I mean by that is your circumstances, my circumstances, the way we came up without and what we saw, what we witnessed and what scarred us and what prepared us and kept us and compelled us to get to the next level. That's our story. Now, when we get to be parents, we want to chaperone our kids, and we don't want them to go through that, but we want them to be a dog. But we raising cats. So you got to make sure you take that cat over to places that they can be a dog, because they can't always be a cat, because now when something, trial and tribulation hit them upside the head, they're not gonna be able to handle it, because you've always protected them and guided them, and that can't be the case. You got to let them touch that oven so they find out it's hot every now and then.
Dallas Goddard
Is that hard to do sometimes, to let them touch the oven?
Mike DiStefano
Yeah. Yeah, it is. But they got to. They got to go through it. And all my kids have gone through things differently at different ages and stages. And you could just tell me what happened, and I could tell you which one of my five kids did it, because I know them that intimately and that psychologically. I know them like a book, and I know what they can with saying and what they can't, but. And they could grow up in the same home and be two totally different kids. And I have that coach.
Kevin
We watched you last night with Bill Belichick at the NFL honors. He seems kind of like a funny.
Mike DiStefano
Dude, you know, like, because away from the game has allowed his personality to come out. It has allowed him to sit back and look and say, I'm so intense, and I'm doing this, and I'm not enjoying any of these moments. And when people start passing away, like I've had the recent last couple weeks, people very close to me, you start thinking about these moments, man, and these moments you have left, and you want to enjoy them. And it can't be all about the challenge, challenge in the game. It's got to be about life and people, man. That's what makes us tick. That's what makes us smile.
Dallas Goddard
People in life talk about your Son's playing football, being a basketball dad. Yeah. With your daughter.
Mike DiStefano
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Like what?
Mike DiStefano
I love it. And she's learning right now because she made the decision that she. She got to stick it out. I was trying to chaperone her and lead her to certain places, but she wanted to do it on her own, and she made a good choice, but she has to fight it out. It's not as simplistic as she thought it would was going to be. So we have some great conversations. And I talking to her the other day, and she said, dad, you know, I just started reading the Bible. I'm reading proverbs, and I almost cried on the darn phone because it seems like it's now. It's happening now. The maturation, the maturity, and the understanding and the wisdom is starting to happen.
Dallas Goddard
So you're here with California almonds.
Mike DiStefano
I love it. I'm an almond guy, you know, like you. Lean and mean and winning. I got to stay lean and mean, too, man. I can't be of those island shake. Hey, did he really play? So it helps me recover. It keeps me steadfast, keeps the skin nice and pretty and presentable, but it helps me stay darn fit and lean. Because when I'm hungry at night or hungry throughout the day, I just snack on Amish, man. I don't get that peanut butter and jelly sandwich like I used to, or that bologna and cheese like we grew up on, or those Vienna salt fried.
Dallas Goddard
Bologna and cheese make it even worse. Yeah.
Mike DiStefano
When it hump up.
Kevin
See, you know about that, too.
Mike DiStefano
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. I love you, man. I, I.
Mike DiStefano
You know, I always think, man, you have no idea how many times I think about what would have and coulda and shoulda. But from that time we spent together, we formed a tremendous relationships. And every time I see you on television or doing anything, even the tours you do like, that is my guy.
Dallas Goddard
My God, this feels like you don't. We don't miss a beat, right? You know what I mean? Right? All right, well, you're the bell of the ball here, so I'm gonna let you be the bell. But love you, Rooting for you. And thanks for stopping by.
Mike DiStefano
You know what? I got to get you, because I love you. Look in the style of shades you wear. I got to get you some blenders, but I got to get them prescription for you, so you. You can rock the blenders now.
Dallas Goddard
I don't know what that means. Like those.
Mike DiStefano
Try these. Just try these.
Dallas Goddard
The blenders.
Mike DiStefano
These are blenders.
Kevin
Oh, Bones. This could be good.
Mike DiStefano
Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Emmett Smith
Jesus.
Dallas Goddard
Like, how's it like.
Mike DiStefano
Oh, my. Can somebody please take a picture? Because this is the look.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, yeah. Okay.
Mike DiStefano
This is the 20, 25 look.
Kevin
This is the new Bobby Bones look.
Mike DiStefano
This is the most.
Dallas Goddard
I'm gonna. I'm gonna send my prescription to one of your guys.
Mike DiStefano
Oh, Sam, get the prescription.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, I got you. And I'm gonna wear them.
Mike DiStefano
I got you.
Dallas Goddard
I'm gonna wear them.
Mike DiStefano
I got you.
Dallas Goddard
Go do your thing. Love you. Be safe.
Mike DiStefano
I appreciate you. This is my brother from another mother.
Dallas Goddard
I'm eating almonds all day, every day now for a week.
Mike DiStefano
Please do.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, you're gonna stay leaning. There he is. Coach Primer. But.
Bobby Bones
We'Re here with pro tight end Dallas Goddard to share his journey with plaque psoriasis and how he tackles his symptoms with Otezla Aprimolast.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, being a football player with plaque.
Eddie Garcia
Psoriasis can be challenging. My skin gets flaky and itchy. So my doctor told me about a pill, otla. It works from the inside out.
Bobby Bones

Okay, we just had Terrell Davis, and the role was we needed to recognize him as he walked up. And this is for Kevin's super bowl ticket. Eddie, your thoughts? Would you have recognized them?
Kevin
I tried to act like I couldn't recognize them. That's my honest opinion. But I recognize them.
Dallas Goddard
Well, I think the gold jacket helped too, because you're, like, wearing a gold jacket. Good looking guy, bald head.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Still look like he could go.
Kevin
Still looks fit.
Dallas Goddard
So, Kevin, you're listening to us. If we both agree that we recognize him, and I haven't said yet that I recognized him immediately.
Kevin
Oh, okay.
Dallas Goddard
All right. So how did you. How did you get him?
Reed Yarberry
He was walking by with his team, and I said, hey, Terrell, I got super bowl ticket online here. I need you for two minutes with my guys over here. Bobby Bones.
Dallas Goddard
We kept on for like, 15. I know, I know. No one told us to.
Reed Yarberry
Listen, listen, I'm not done.
Dallas Goddard
We're mad at him.
Reed Yarberry
I'm not done, guys. Turns out his lady who does his booking has tried to get on with us before. She's like, I know. Bobby Bones.
Bobby Bones
Remember?
Reed Yarberry
We met her in LA at the Chargers camp. Do you remember her in the parking lot?
Dallas Goddard
Of course. Oh, my God. I do.
Reed Yarberry
Same lady. And she's like, oh, my God. So she's like, he can stay up there.
Dallas Goddard
I was.
Reed Yarberry
I was like, I'll just lie and say it's Reed.
Dallas Goddard
What?
Reed Yarberry
The Bills receiver from, like, the 90s? Reed?
Bobby Bones
His wife.
Reed Yarberry
It's his wife. So it all worked out.
Dallas Goddard
Dude, that's crazy. Okay? I absolutely recognized him. I actually recognized immediately. So. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's recording. I just get. Mike said, are you sure you're recording?
Kevin
That would have been terrible.
Dallas Goddard
You know what? I'm gonna be honest with you. If it wouldn't have been, I'd have believed it. So definitely recognized him.
Kevin
Eddie recognized him.
Dallas Goddard
He had the gold jacket on. So, Kevin, I will now declare you are going to the Super Bowl. Let's go.
Kevin
What a road for.
Dallas Goddard
Come on.
Reed Yarberry
I even got another signature and another video. Cherry on top, boys.
Dallas Goddard
Who's the other signature on the football?
Reed Yarberry
I'll have you look at it.
Dallas Goddard
Okay, so again, just as a reminder, he had to get a video of somebody that was famous promoting 25 whistles. A signature on a football? He didn't even have a football. He had to find a football. Okay, here we go. We have the green.
Reed Yarberry
Look at the signature.
Dallas Goddard
Yes. Let me see if I can name it. So this first one is Logan Ryan, two times super bowl champ. And that looks like Chris Sims. NBC.
Mark Davis
Yep.
Dallas Goddard
Wow.
Kevin
Chris Sims.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah.
Kevin
You met Chris Sims? What?
Dallas Goddard
Like, it's cool, but I don't know if it's. Wow. You know what?
Kevin
I thought it was his dad. My bad.
Dallas Goddard
I thought Bill Sims. It was Bill Sims.
Reed Yarberry
And then I thought, you're going a.
Dallas Goddard
Little too hard because Chris Sims doesn't know.
Mark Davis
What's Chris Sims say? Gets straight here.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. Yeah. I agree. Chris Sims. Chris Sims doesn't.
Kevin
I just thought it was Phil. I'm sorry.
Dallas Goddard
As a. Yes. As an announcer. Great. I hate Texas, though.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
So that part of it. Major apple, white. Chris Sims. Remember that? Yeah.
Kevin
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah.
Kevin
So how tall was.
Dallas Goddard
No, you. You heard the whole thing. Because you reacted in such a way, I thought you were lying.
Kevin
I'm telling you, I thought it was Phil Sims, and I was like, oh, my God.
Dallas Goddard
I think Chris Sims does a great job.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
For the record. Okay. For the record. Okay. And then you got another video.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah. I'm not gonna lie. It's the same person, but you got.
Dallas Goddard
Another Andrew Whitworth video.
Reed Yarberry
It's Chris Sims, but it's a lot better. Listen, listen.
Eddie Garcia
Yo, yo, what's up?
Dallas Goddard
It's Chris SIMS. Listen to 25 whistles. Wherever you get your podcast. Peace out.
Kevin
That's great.
Dallas Goddard
You know what? Between two Chris Sims, an Andrew Whitworth, a Logan Ryan, a Cam Hayward. Cam. Yeah. Cam Hayward. And Terrell Davis, you got a Super bowl ticket.
Reed Yarberry
Let's go.
Kevin
Good job, Kevin.
Dallas Goddard
All right.
Reed Yarberry
Hey, forget the baby. Forget the baby. Send me on a scavenger hunt.
Dallas Goddard
Second of all. Second of all, he's having a baby, so it sounds like he's yelling, forget the baby. Yes.
Reed Yarberry
Hey, Alex, I love you. Hey, we got two babies on the way.
Dallas Goddard
I love you. All right, all right. First of all, I'd like to say the jacket, it just demands respect.
Eddie Garcia
Yeah, it does, because it is.
Dallas Goddard
In all seriousness, it is the. There are two jackets. That jacket and the green jacket. If you win the Masters, those are the most elite.
Eddie Garcia
I'm trying to think. I think you're right.
Dallas Goddard
That's it.
Eddie Garcia
Yeah. That green Masters jacket is pretty dope. But.
Dallas Goddard
But, yes.
Eddie Garcia
I think this one gets more love.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah.
Eddie Garcia
When people see it, you can't help but like to recognize, that's the gold jacket.
Dallas Goddard
Where do you keep it? And then also, I can't tell you that. Okay, fair enough.
Kevin
You just want to let everyone know.
Dallas Goddard
Secondly, though, if you get it, oh, I'm not coming to your house. You do keep it at the house, though.
Eddie Garcia
Okay, maybe.
Dallas Goddard
Okay, exactly. Do you, do you send it off to get it dry cleaned?
Eddie Garcia
You know what, It's a great question. And I, I had, I did it before. I did it a few times. And you know, one of my, like, my dry cleaner guy doesn't even know.
Dallas Goddard
Know who I am.
Eddie Garcia
Like, I've been going to him. This, this is my guy out of la and he didn't know who I was for a long time. But when he saw the jacket, he, he couldn't. He was like, this is a beautiful jacket. He didn't know what, what, what it was. And he was saying, like, this fabric, you can't get anywhere because that's what he was into. And so I was like, that's cool because he doesn't know. So I sent it to him all the time.
Dallas Goddard
He.
Eddie Garcia
He never asked questions about it other than say it was a beautiful jacket. Like, I don't think he read this. He just, he just, just clean the jacket and never ask any questions.
Dallas Goddard
And that's who you want to have it? Who doesn't understand?
Eddie Garcia
Of course, yes.
Dallas Goddard
Because they're just gonna do the good stuff to it and not like, show it to their buddies or call me.
Eddie Garcia
And say, hey, man, we don't know what happened to it.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, that'd be tough.
Kevin
It's also cool that the fabric is unique in a jacket like that. Like, they actually put care into a jacket like that. Not just like, here's your gold jacket.
Eddie Garcia
That's. Well, that's what they said. So last night, that's what they convinced us.
Dallas Goddard
I was, I was, I was the NFL honors. As part of the show, I was doing a little presentation and my buddy Jared Allen, who had been passed over a few times, like a couple weeks ago, literally talked to him. He was like, man, like, it's sore spot. Like I've been. And he finally got it and he got to go on stage last night. He's getting it. Like, what are those? What does it feel like to finally be acknowledged? And for you, you didn't have to wait.
Eddie Garcia
No, I waited.
Dallas Goddard
I waited, but not as long as Jared. Jared, wait.
Eddie Garcia
No, Jared only waited, what, like three years?
Dallas Goddard
How long did you have to wait?
Eddie Garcia
11 years.
Dallas Goddard
No way.
Eddie Garcia
11 years.
Dallas Goddard
Revision is history. I feel like you got a year one.
Eddie Garcia
No, no, I waited 11 years.
Dallas Goddard
Who knocked on your door?
Eddie Garcia
That's when they had it where? Who was the hot. Why is his name blank? Me?
Dallas Goddard
Do they not knock on. Is it. They switch.
Eddie Garcia
It wasn't so back then. No, it was David Baker. Sorry. David Baker was the. Who ran the hall of Fame. They didn't have it where players did it, except they only had it where players did it just recently. So I had to wait. Not only was I waiting to get my name called, you know, to be a finalist, when I. When I became a finalist, I had to go through another three years of waiting. So you make it to the top 15. That's the finalist. And then you have to. Then it goes from 15 to 5, and then they vote on those 5 to. To go in. So I waited. I waited a long time.
Dallas Goddard
That's crazy. I had no idea. It feels like. Then I demand a recount from year one. Yes, because you should have got in immediately.
Eddie Garcia
No, I mean, listen, the bottom line was, for me, I kind of. I respected the process, and it happened the way it happened.
Dallas Goddard
How close is the bus to your real head, though? When you look at it, though?
Eddie Garcia
It's pretty damn close, man. My wife was. Was right there. She was instrumental in making sure that the imperfections were perfected. Right? Like, yeah. She wanted to make sure that it was like me, and she did a great job. Because what happens is they. You sit with your guy, he makes the bus, and then they get. They show it to you, and you can come in and watch. So the first time they do it, you're sitting there for hours, and he's just sitting. Sitting there with a big old mold of clay, and he's going through this stuff, and then they. They take it. You go. And then they come back a week or two later, ask you to come back. And my wife came with. With me the second time, and then that's when the details were filled in. So I was. I was pretty pleased with it. You know, unlike when you see some statues, you're like, what the hell?
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
Kevin
I mean, even when you look at yourself in the mirror, you're like, what?
Dallas Goddard
Or you're questioning yourself, do I look. Do I look like that?
Eddie Garcia
Golly. Like, shoot. I mean, who had the statue recently?
Dallas Goddard
Ronaldo had a real bad one.
Eddie Garcia
No, but somebody just came in after him, Right?
Dallas Goddard
So Ronaldo had the bad one, and then the one that wasn't even a real statue.
Eddie Garcia
That was the other one that was.
Dallas Goddard
Awful, which was bad.
Eddie Garcia
Like, come on, dude.
Dallas Goddard
Like.
Eddie Garcia
Like, respect the people enough to allow them to see it and have an opinion before you make it public. And I hope they're going to do him justice and go redo it.
Dallas Goddard
It's so permanent.
Eddie Garcia
No, it's got to go.
Dallas Goddard
All right, two final questions.
Eddie Garcia
If they don't redo that damn statue.
Kevin
Which one of your teammates do you talk to the most?
Eddie Garcia
Probably a guy named Byron Chamberlain. Came in with me in 95. He was a tight end. I was 196. I think he was in the. He was a seventh rounder. That was my buddy. Still my boy to this day. Played on the super bowl teams with me.
Kevin
Did you guys meet on the team?
Eddie Garcia
I met him, actually. I met his bud when we were coming to Denver for a rookie after the draft. I think it was our rookie symposium or something like that. A rookie rookie camp. And I saw him at the airport, and he was sitting by. He was just sitting by, like, on a wall, waiting, you know, waiting for somebody. Now I'm in. We in Denver. That's the only black dude that's. That's on the wall. I'm like, wait a minute. That dude got to be going where I'm going. Ain't nobody else black in this, that dude. And he looked like a football player. And I'm like, let me just go figure out where he's going. And sure enough, he was waiting for the Broncos bus to pick him up.
Dallas Goddard
Oh, talking about cameo for a second. The last thing I want to mention, though, is, do you feel like it gave you an advantage playing and training in Denver when you played in teams where the altitude wasn't as high?
Eddie Garcia
Oh, yeah.
Dallas Goddard
It helped your cardio tremendously.
Eddie Garcia
Yeah. Because there's no better place to train.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah.
Eddie Garcia
And when you train at altitude and you're, you know, you're giving it everything you got, and you're. You're expanding your lungs. When we played at sea level, it was. It was so easy to be in a game and just be at, you know, be in the 90%, you know, basically, like, energy wise, like, you never had to come down to 60 or 70. And then, no, you feel like you were always playing pretty high, which helps you on the field. But the. The neutralizer would be. If you played in humidity, you know, that would neutralize the altitude. I don't care where the hell you. Where you've trained. And when you go play in humidity and it sucks and drains all the energy out of you, you feel it.
Dallas Goddard
So if I'm gonna get a cameo from you, what's the deal?
Eddie Garcia
Yeah, well, so you. You call up. I mean, you know, I know.
Kevin
Does he get priority.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. I literally have it. I used cameo.
Eddie Garcia
Well, there you go. So just go ahead and book me. Just book me and say. Just. Just say. Just tell me to say hi. That's it.
Dallas Goddard
Don't.
Eddie Garcia
Don't have me working. Don't have me. Like, some people, they'll put a lot of details. Oh, my God. They'll still say. I'm like, dude, wait a minute, homeboy. Like this. This is not a full appearance. Like. Like this. This may be two different, you know, asks.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah.
Eddie Garcia
Don't come through the whole list of gambits.
Mike DiStefano
Can you do this?
Dallas Goddard
Fair enough. Well, we really appreciate the time. Thanks for wearing the jacket. The jacket's so sick. So thank you. Big fan, and I hope you have a great rest of the weekend.
Eddie Garcia
I appreciate it. Gentlemen.
Dallas Goddard
Thank you.
Eddie Garcia
All right.
Dallas Goddard
Okay. We are in my hotel room. It is Saturday evening, 6pm I'm exhausted for a couple reasons. One, we've been on the road since Tuesday, and that's finally caught up between doing the radio shows and the podcast and the live shows and the.
Kevin
All.
Dallas Goddard
The interview. All. It's awesome. It's champagne problems for sure, but. And then was me sick all day yesterday. So, yeah, I'm tired. I could go home right now to come back tomorrow night.
Kevin
Absolutely.
Dallas Goddard
Like, I could have gone home last night to come back tomorrow night because we did nothing today.
Kevin
Nothing. I could have stayed in bed all day.
Dallas Goddard
And I kind of did. The funny thing. I have a half a million views on Instagram I put up this morning because my bathtub is rusted out.
Kevin
I saw that.
Dallas Goddard
Okay. So the funny thing is my stomach's been killing me. I mentioned that earlier, and for a whole day, it's been killing me. And food poisoning, which I think people throw that around pretty loosely. I almost had food poison. I think I had food illness.
Kevin
Yeah. It was food not working well in your stomach.
Dallas Goddard
It wasn't violent. When I. I get food poisoning, sometimes it's violent and it's headache and it's crazy vomiting. Like, I had diarrhea a little bit, but I've just been hurting so bad for, like, 36 hours.
Kevin
From the.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, from Mufasa, the bad guy in Lanking.
Reed Yarberry
I saw that when Eddie brought it to our room, and I was like.
Dallas Goddard
I didn't like thinking about it.
Reed Yarberry
You want any? I was like, no.
Dallas Goddard
Did you hear him?
Kevin
He doesn't want to talk about it. Kevin. Oh, he does not want to talk about.
Dallas Goddard
It's still in the fridge. The other half of it is throw it away. You want to spin the wheel to see what he said.
Mark Davis
To get a Super bowl ticket right there. Eat the other half of the muffin.
Reed Yarberry
There we go.
Dallas Goddard
So I posted that video on my Instagram, and I got a bunch of texts like, why are you staying in such a disgusting room?
Kevin
It's not. It's a nice room.
Dallas Goddard
It's a sweet. It's fine. It's not. It's fine. It's fine room.
Kevin
I mean, it's the Ritz Carlton, but it's a nice hotel room.
Dallas Goddard
It's an okay room. But my answer was, we're in the living room.
Mark Davis
We're in the living room of said room.
Dallas Goddard
Yes.
Kevin
I think ours was built in the 30s and it remained the same way.
Dallas Goddard
My point is there are no rooms.
Kevin
Right.
Dallas Goddard
So it doesn't. To get any room was going to be difficult.
Kevin
What's funny is when you go down to, like, any kind of front desk and say, like, hey. Like, say your situation. Hey, there's rust in my shower. They'd be like, okay.
Dallas Goddard
And.
Kevin
And what?
Mark Davis
Yeah, that'll be no extra charge.
Dallas Goddard
I know. So I have no complaints about the room I got into. I took a bath in that thing twice. That's tough. Yes. Because my stomach was hurting so bad. And so I. I won't say it was from. But it's from somebody that's pretty famous. And I texted the image over to Matt Al, who's here with us and still. And sleeping on the bus. He's been sleeping on the bus under the overpass for the last three nights. Shout out.
Mark Davis
I'm having the best New Orleans experience.
Dallas Goddard
He literally is. So I texted to Matt, like, I get this text. I'll just read it to you. Because it does look. It looks like dookie in the bathtub as much as it does anything else.
Reed Yarberry
I stopped watching immediately.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. And the person who texted me said, jfc.
Kevin
Jfc.
Dallas Goddard
Just no. Jesus. Oh, that bathtub. Are you in the Hilton, question mark? And I said, no, that would be a luxury. They have me in that blank. Whatever I'm in. I said, I think it's the NFL employee rookie hazing. And then he said, holy f. So I texted over to Matt, and I said, I've made it. When a childhood hero has professional compassion for me. So I don't even care. I will not take a bath anymore. I just want to go home after the game. Yeah, I'm tired.
Kevin
We gotta get home, dude.
Dallas Goddard
I'm tired. I think if we'd have got here a day earlier or a day ago, it had been Great. But, yeah, that's what's up. Now I have the super bowl tickets. Let me ask you as a question. We have passes to go to the pre game concert where Post Malone is playing, I guess.
Kevin
Oh, nice.
Dallas Goddard
Now we can go to that.
Kevin
Or is this a situation where I only have four?
Dallas Goddard
It was. It was. I only had two, but apparently there's so many people that are asking me things, I just say yes to everything.
Kevin
Yeah.
Reed Yarberry
Smart.
Dallas Goddard
And then all of a sudden, I have extras because I've said yes to what I think is the same thing, but it's multiple people. So they were like, do you want to go to the pre game tailgate with Post Malone performing? Do you have the ticket anywhere?
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, it's in my backpack.
Dallas Goddard
And I was like, sure. And they asked me again. I was like, why are they telling me yes? But I'll just say yes again in case. So, like, Reed and Kevin both show up with packages of tickets. Wow. So I have six of them now.
Kevin
Okay.
Dallas Goddard
Eddie and I went to the commissioner's dinner last night.
Kevin
Well, that was something else. That was different.
Dallas Goddard
That's different.
Kevin
That's where you walk in and you're like, oh, wow. This is something I've never seen before. Like, this is a lot of money and a lot of money.
Dallas Goddard
I probably would have been the poorest person in the room, but Eddie was there.
Kevin
Sure was.
Dallas Goddard
The owners had their own, like, booths with their team logo on it. Yep. And it, like, circled the stage, and it was like each of the owners had their own booth.
Kevin
And no one was at the cowboys booth. Mike. So I told Bones, just sit there until they kick us out. But we didn't.
Dallas Goddard
We didn't know anybody. And so we walked over with Matt Castle, who I do my other show with. And I don't like to be the tag because that's, like, his group. But he was like, I've never been to this, so I don't know what to do. And I was like, we'll just go together, and eventually one of us will find comfort, and the other person can just hang out. And then if anybody wants to bail, just bail. It's kind of our rule. Well, he found comfort immediately because it was like all the ball players. So we walk up immediately, and I spot Belichick, and I see Matt. Matt and Eddie were sitting over there, and I said, hey, Belichick's over here. And he's like, okay, cool. So he comes over and talks to Belichick. And I was standing in this place, and the circle, like, collapsed in Front of me, where I wasn't standing in the circle anymore. So I was just like on the outside of the circle.
Kevin
Y. Hanging. You're hanging.
Dallas Goddard
So, like, I was looking over the shoulder into the circle and I was like, you know what? I'm out of here. So Eddie and I went walking through, like, a different area. Now, I took no offense to it because Matt was great about, hey, this is popping. People kept walking in, and as soon as that circle closed, I realized I wasn't cool enough to be in that circle. So we went into another section and it just opened up bigger. We thought it was like some like, sex part. Like, it was like a. Yeah, because.
Kevin
It was a tunnel.
Dallas Goddard
Red tunnel.
Reed Yarberry
They're wearing masks.
Dallas Goddard
That's what he said. Some guy came out of it or New Orleans, and. And somebody said, what's back there? And he goes, well, that's for the vvips. No, we thought he was serious.
Kevin
What does a V stand for?
Dallas Goddard
Eddie goes, this is like that, Nicole. I said eyes wide shut. Immediately I knew what it was. And so we walked back. But it just opens up and there's another jazz band on stage and hall of famers everywhere. They have gold jackets. The hilarious move would have been for me just to wear a gold jacket. Just to say, just the same color.
Mark Davis
Like the mother in law wearing white.
Dallas Goddard
Yes. The biggest person that I saw and you see. I guess you saw him, Kevin, whenever we were doing the daytime stuff. Andrew Whitworth is huge monster. He's like a basketball player, except a football player. Yeah. Like as thick and big of as an offensive lineman. But he's got to be 6, 7. Yeah, 6, 8.
Reed Yarberry
And like, well proportioned.
Dallas Goddard
A monster.
Kevin
Oh, do you look interesting?
Dallas Goddard
Which area?
Reed Yarberry
Mostly bottom half.
Dallas Goddard
Got it.
Reed Yarberry
And then I made my way up.
Dallas Goddard
Got it. So you.
Kevin
When you do look at the sea of people, he's. His head is above everyone else.
Dallas Goddard
When you look at the sea of big people. Yeah, his head was above everybody else. So at this point, we know nobody. And so no one. We're just walking through and there's. I can't eat because my stomach's bad. And I think Eddie's eating a little bit. I wish I could have, like, eating something. And somebody comes up to me around the corner and grabs me and hugs me and I don't see well. And so I just. It's just a woman and she's like, oh. So I just fake for a second like I know who it is. And she pulls back and it ends up being Leanne Tuohy. Who is the blindside? Sandra Bullock? Not well.
Eddie Garcia
Not.
Dallas Goddard
Sandra Bullock played her. And so I know the Tuohys pretty well, and I know. I know their son really well. He's a close friend. I mean, he's a. As close a friend as you could be without being like, a main, main close friend. Like, we talk two or three times a week, and he's now, like, one of the. Part of the administration at Oral Roberts. Like, he's eventually gonna be a big athletic director, but he was at ucf. I met him in Arkansas when he was a grad assistant. That's how I met him.
Kevin
Like, on a golf cart. Right.
Dallas Goddard
He picked me up, and then I didn't know he was the kid from the fricking blindside. And then afterwards, someone was like, you know that kid sj? And I was like, the ga. It's like, yeah, that's the blindside kid. And I was like, the actor. And they were like, no, the actual one. I was like, oh, how about that? And so we just stayed in touch. But we talked to them for half an hour.
Kevin
Oh, yeah, we did.
Reed Yarberry
Awesome.
Dallas Goddard
And not only that. And I would never reveal things that I can't reveal. It was an awesome conversation because they were giving us some dirt even on, like. Even on, like, coaching stuff. So it was. It was good. I like them anyway. And usually I would feel bad that I'm keeping someone because I was like, if you guys want to go back, get back to your other rich people, you should.
Kevin
No, they like you. They like talking to you.
Dallas Goddard
We talk forever, dude. I was in all the dirt on coaches, athletic directors, NFL. It was awesome.
Reed Yarberry
Nice.
Dallas Goddard
Because he. SJ's dad called the Grizzly. He was there.
Kevin
The announcer.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. Play by play guy from Memphis. Yeah.
Reed Yarberry
Really?
Dallas Goddard
Right? He was not. Or maybe color. No, he had to be play by play or announcer. One of the things. I think it's their TV color guy. One time, though, I said, hey, who's your favorite color guy? And I said, my favorite color guy is Frank Thomas.
Kevin
Oh, my gosh.
Dallas Goddard
And I think it was Ryan Hurd.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
And it was like, what? What? You can't say that. I said, color analyst.
Kevin
Analyst.
Mark Davis
And you sure should rank a.
Dallas Goddard
Yes. I was. I was shocked. I did not know what he was talking about. I was like, frank Thomas, one of my favorite color guys.
Kevin
It sounds exactly how you said it.
Dallas Goddard
I didn't think twice. And Ryan's looking at me like, what are you talking about? And it only took for him to go to. I was like, oh, no, no, no. Yes. Color commentary. So I kind of felt bad because I had passes last night to go to Travis Scott. No. Well, I had those. I didn't want to go Travis Scott. I don't care about Travis Scott. I don't even know a song.
Kevin
No, don't know it.
Dallas Goddard
Just the shoes.
Kevin
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know those.
Dallas Goddard
But we had blink. Wanted to. Megan the Stallion. We could have gone to that.
Kevin
I love Megan the Stallion, dude.
Dallas Goddard
I know, dude. But I did say Eddie and I's name, Eddie and I's name were on the list. So I told. I sent it to Eddie, and I was like, your name's on. You can go by yourself. I don't. And I guess you didn't go.
Kevin
We didn't go.
Dallas Goddard
Now there's no we. You can't take anybody.
Kevin
Well, that's probably why I was going to be Bobby.
Dallas Goddard
Interesting. Because I bet you get so crowded they wouldn't check an id. Mm. Yes.
Kevin
It could have worked.
Mark Davis
Yeah, they were probably pretty lax.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
What? Probably. But it was VIP entrance.
Reed Yarberry
It was worth the shot.
Dallas Goddard
I don't know, man. I would have admired you for taking the shot.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, we were going to, but I think by the time we met up, it was only like an hour left. And we're like, you know what? By the time we get there, won't even be.
Kevin
Honestly, the way to get into all these things is pretty legit. Like, they just scan your face and, okay, there you are, Eddie Garcia. You're good to go. Like, I don't think you can fake anything, really. Like, if they scan Kevin spaces, like, you are not Bobby Bones. Get out of here.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, I guess it's extra secure. I tell you, if this were like a normal Thursday night or Friday night, and I were walking in some of the places in New Orleans, I was walking last night, and it wasn't super bowl weekend, I would not feel safe. Yeah, but it feels so safe here now.
Mark Davis
This place is locked down.
Dallas Goddard
It is.
Kevin
There's a national reserve everywhere, guard everywhere.
Dallas Goddard
FBI, FBI, cops everywhere. Yeah.
Kevin
Were you woken up by a marching band this morning? Okay. There's a parade going right by our hotel.
Dallas Goddard
Really?
Mark Davis
They do that every morning just as they went up in New Orleans.
Dallas Goddard
And then I remember, no rooster, just brass band.
Mark Davis
A second line brass band coming down through the street.
Kevin
The band go. And then I was like, all right, let me try to go back to sleep. And I did. I fell back to sleep. And I woke up and I was like, hey, Kevin, I think they're done. And immediate. As soon as I said That I heard the MC go.
Emmett Smith
We just getting started.
Kevin
All right, so that didn't happen to you.
Dallas Goddard
It did not happen.
Mark Davis
The New Orleans rooster?
Eddie Garcia
Yes.
Dallas Goddard
Where? How far are you guys from this hotel?
Kevin
Two blocks.
Dallas Goddard
So we left. I felt bad. I told it as. I'm so sorry. I just don't feel good. I was feeling worse since the night was going. And he was like, all good, all good. So we got way dressed up, did the thing. We don't really know anybody there. I don't know if anything happened last night. It was a very. I probably shouldn't have been invited. Not that I showed up and was improper, but everybody there was like a player, an owner, some kind of exec, old and rich.
Kevin
I mean, it was probably GMs.
Dallas Goddard
It was that kind of crowd where you look around and you go, which one does belong? It was me.
Kevin
Those two dudes.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah.
Kevin
So we met the medical. We met the medical doctor, the head.
Dallas Goddard
Of NFL medical, who lives by us in Nashville. And because his wife comes up, he goes, I'm a huge fan. And I was like, thank you for just talking to me. Because nobody was talking to me. Yeah, that was exactly what it was. She was like, I'm sorry, I'm talking your ear off. I'm like, I just don't want to talk to somebody like, they please stay with us. But she's like, yeah, my husband. What's up?
Kevin
Wait.
Dallas Goddard
She said, my husband works at Vandy and has been head of a bunch of sports teams and is now head of medical c. CMO of the NFL.
Kevin
Chief medical officer.
Dallas Goddard
Thank you. Thank you, sir.
Kevin
You got it.
Dallas Goddard
And so he's in New York a lot at the office, but they get to live in Nashville, and we talk to them for probably 15 minutes or so. And we're walking out, and I saw Jared Allen, who is a monster. And I hadn't met him until probably like a month ago when he came over to the house to do the other show. Huge personality, had a cowboy hat on. Yes. And he got. And. And so when he came over and did lots to say, I didn't know how sensitive the hall of fame was to him. And I started the interview with dude at suction on the hall of fame. Like, I didn't know. Ooh, I'm glad I didn't know because I wouldn't have got the good stuff. And I think at times, like, I know artists so well in Nashville. There are places that I won't go because I'm sensitive to knowing them. Like, I wouldn't ask Stell about his recent circumcision.
Kevin
Correct.
Dallas Goddard
Because I know that. Still sensitive to him. And it's actually sensitive.
Mark Davis
Physically sensitive.
Dallas Goddard
Yes. But I, like, literally sensitive.
Mark Davis
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
I started the interview with.
Mark Davis
In a very physical sense, like, it.
Dallas Goddard
Sucks, you know, in the hall of Fame. And he went off like, 20 minutes. And so he got in that night before. And so I went up and I was like, I don't bother him. I was like, dude, I'm so happy. And him and his wife turn around and we talked for, like, 10 minutes. He's huge. Then I was like, do you see drones over your house? That was literally what I was. Oh, no, dude. Because they live right by me.
Kevin
They say, yes.
Dallas Goddard
She said that she didn't know there were drones. She was like. And then we had some other. We worked through theories, but I was super happy he got in the hall of Fame. And then we walked back and I went to bed.
Kevin
How does.
Dallas Goddard
Real quick.
Kevin
About the hall of Fame thing. Like, how does that work? Like, you know you're eventually going to get in.
Dallas Goddard
No. So the crazy thing was Venator did not get in. Everyone expected Venator. Kevin's crying. You mentioned a freaking Patriot. He starts crying. Did you know Gus C's up next year?
Reed Yarberry
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Huh.
Reed Yarberry
You think he'll make it, though?
Dallas Goddard
No, I don't. Not enough. I don't like Year one, anyway.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, no. I mean, they gotta. Kickers got to pay their dues.
Dallas Goddard
I think I was surprised that Venatori didn't make it Year one. I was mediumly surprised that Eli didn't make it.
Reed Yarberry
No.
Dallas Goddard
For a couple of reasons. One, he's got two Super Bowl MVPs, two Super bowl championships, top 10 passing Alta. You know, he's got Manning, his brother, and he has the Manning name. But take it away. He still got two Super Bowl.
Reed Yarberry
I know.
Dallas Goddard
And two Super Bowl MVPs. So I was surprised he didn't get in. Not near as surprised as that Venatori didn't get in because I thought that was automatic. They only let four people in. It was a very small class.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, that's tough.
Dallas Goddard
It's the hardest to get in. And I believe. Is it a percentage of the voters has. You have to be a percentage up. Is that what it is?
Reed Yarberry
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
And they used to show up and let you know in a certain way. But I don't think Jared would care that I say this. Like, they let Jared know, like, a week ago. Everybody got to know, like, a week ago. But they couldn't say anything until the announce of it. And he and, you know, so who. I think one of his old teammates or something showed up and to his house and was like, you're in the hall of Fame. And it was big. I think his kid was there. He has a 10 year old. And because his kid saw it, he said my kid had to sign an NDA. My 10 year old did. Sure.
Mark Davis
Wait, wait a minute. Your 10 year old had to sign an NDA? But we just told the story on the podcast.
Dallas Goddard
No, it was. You can't say it before it comes out.
Mark Davis
Before it comes out.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Just a surprise. Yeah. Now it's fine.
Reed Yarberry
Here's this NDA.
Kevin
I didn't sign anything.
Dallas Goddard
Now it's fine. Now it's out. I'm fine. So we talked to them and then we walked back to the room and I went to bed. And then I saw Emmett Smith dancing on Mike D's nice Instagram story. And it was so close. I thought Mike D was dancing with Emmett for a second until he did the finger zoom out. He just zoomed way in. I thought Mike D was dancing with Emmett Smith. Apparently Post Malone. So who went to Post Malone? You, me and Reed.
Eddie Garcia
I went.
Dallas Goddard
You did re. Take a microphone. Did you guys go together? No. I didn't even know Matt was there, to be honest.
Mark Davis
We met in the casino afterwards.
Dallas Goddard
So how did you get in? I just had a friend that had a ticket. Or were you on the list yourself? Yeah, I don't know how people get on list. I have no idea.
Mark Davis
It was through booking agent. It was like.
Dallas Goddard
Got it. I'll probably say similar as mine then because UTA put me on all kind of crap. Yeah.
Eddie Garcia
Don't even mean yeah.
Dallas Goddard
But yeah, you changed. Dang.
Mark Davis
Yeah. Only because my. My agent left UTA in the business all together. But yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Shout out, drama.
Mark Davis
Yeah, shout out WME for hooking it up. Doug Neff. Thank you.
Dallas Goddard
We were on this. We were. I left caa. We had uta. Only because Matt was over there. And then Matt leaves. I just found out.
Mark Davis
Oh, man. I'm gonna need you to sign that NDA.
Dallas Goddard
Dang it. Reed, what was the party like? Who were you with? So I was with Mike D. We actually went and showed up and we're like, okay, I think I really had to go to the bathroom. So we're like, we'll just wait. So you had tickets? You weren't like on a VIP list? No, no. So this is. Okay, good. So this would have been the difference. And you guys. Eddie, you going to that party last night? Going in a back way. What was it like, to get into this thing, it was absolutely terrible. We were in a line that was legitimately half a mile long. Around.
Reed Yarberry
We could have just.
Dallas Goddard
We walked up to the entrance. And he was like, yeah, the QR code line is right here. We're like, oh, all right. That's cool. So we walked. We could have literally just turned around and then got in line. And then we have a ticket or a badge or what was it? It was just a QR code ticket. You scan on your phone. You forget, I gotta get it. Yeah, but it was like 3,000 people. And how long until you got in? It was a little over an hour. We waited in line for an hour? Yes.
Mark Davis
Dude. Yeah. I would not have done that.
Dallas Goddard
I would imagine. Mike, you're a massive Post Malone fan. So was it worth the hour? Yeah. I didn't care about waiting, but it did suck because we kept going. And they were like, surely the line will end here. No, it went all the way around. We made some friends in line. It was fine. It's like Six Flags when you get up to the front, except when you turn the corner. It's not actually the front. It's the wraparound, where it's.
Mark Davis
I walked up there when they were first, like, queuing up on my way to supper, and it looked like the worst morning you've ever had at tsa.
Dallas Goddard
Oh, yeah.
Mark Davis
Just like it was because it's right there at the casino. So it was just like. What I saw was this, right? It was just like down the block and around.
Dallas Goddard
So, Mr. WME, how did you get.
Mark Davis
In differently than that?
Dallas Goddard
Did you go to whatever, like, the drop off point was? Like, this is the drop off point. Going there, they just had it.
Eddie Garcia
I was.
Mark Davis
I. I was late. I think he started at 9:30. I didn't get there, like 9:45.
Dallas Goddard
That's so funny. He's like, I got in different. So, Reed, how was the show?
Reed Yarberry
Like, it was really good.
Dallas Goddard
Was it just him or just somebody before him? No, it was. It was just him. He brought out Jelly Roll. That was really cool, to be honest. I only stayed for, like, 25 minutes because I was gonna meet up with them in the casino. You say by yourself, Mike? Yeah, yeah. And.
Reed Yarberry
But it was really good.
Dallas Goddard
Like, I ran into Young Gravy on my way out. As in you literally bumped him?
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, like, I literally bumped him.
Dallas Goddard
Like, I was on my way out and there was nobody there. Like, where the bar is. And it was just him and some girl that were walking in by themselves.
Reed Yarberry
It's like, what's up, Gravy?
Dallas Goddard
Did you say that like that? Yeah, just in your head and. What? Little Dicky Mike. How long. How long was the performance? Hour. And he played. He played country stuff, hip hop stuff. Was that good show? Yeah. Was it in the theater?
Mark Davis
Kinda. It was just standing. It was like a standing theater, but then they had bleacher seating on kind of both sides.
Dallas Goddard
Was the sound appropriate for a concert?
Mark Davis
Yeah, it was actually. It was quiet. It was good.
Dallas Goddard
Oh, yeah. So it wasn't like a quickly built together stage where it sounds terrible?
Mark Davis
No, no. And it was all there were. I did not notice a track. Like everything was coming off stage. Like, even. Even he had a couple background singers on there to sing kind of the like trappy parts. But like, Derrick Wells was playing guitar and what's the kid that wrote Chandler? Walter had some help.
Kevin
Yeah.
Mark Davis
Was playing steel for him. Band was great. It sounded really good.
Dallas Goddard
Did you stay until that? You both stayed? The end. You stay. The end.
Mark Davis
No, I left a little early. I left. I left after maybe one song left, though.
Dallas Goddard
Was it hard to get out? That's fine. It was hard for me to get out because you and Young Grave, you too tangled up. I mean, we already got deep in.
Reed Yarberry
There, so then trying to get out.
Dallas Goddard
Man, it's like you're squeezing through people. Okay, here's the question. Do I need to go to a break or can I just keep going? Okay, hypothetical question, and I'll ask it to read. You can give Eddie the microphone back now. Thank you.
Kevin
Thank you, Reed.
Dallas Goddard
We're limited microphones. Hypothetical question. If somebody calls you today and says, I got you $1,000, I'm gonna give you in one hour. Sounds pretty cool, huh? Yeah. For nothing. Have a thousand dollars, I'm gonna give you in an hour. What's the catch? No catch. You just get it and there is no catch. There's $1,000. You get it in 59 minutes and 59 seconds. And I'll be right over there to give it to you. You kind of get excited.
Mark Davis
Yeah, right. I'm getting excited.
Kevin
Yeah. Like.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah. Let's say the person shows up in 59 minutes, 9 seconds, knocks on the door and then goes, oh, crap, I messed up. Here's $100.
Reed Yarberry
No, no.
Kevin
I feel like this is an analogy.
Mark Davis
Expected value. This is a parable.
Reed Yarberry
I don't like where this is going.
Kevin
What happens?
Dallas Goddard
So are you a grateful for the $100 that you didn't have before the day started anyway? Because you didn't have $100 before 59 minutes and 59 seconds ago. Nor the thought of an extra $100, but because someone said, Hey, I got $1,000, that 100 hits a bit different. Are you a more excited to get a 300 or more upset that you didn't get the thousand?
Kevin
Be extremely upset that I didn't get the 100,000.
Dallas Goddard
There's no hundred thousand.
Kevin
Oh, see, this is what happened in my mind.
Eddie Garcia
I was like, zeros over here.
Mark Davis
You're carrying the 2000.
Kevin
It's very disappointing that I didn't get the thousand. Like, you give me a hundred dollars. Like, why'd you even tell me there was a thousand in there? Keep the hundred. Get out of my face.
Dallas Goddard
So you're disappointed. Yes. Because even though there was no hundred dollars. Yeah.
Kevin
You told me you were gonna be here in a nap. 59 seconds.
Dallas Goddard
What if I just showed up and get. And say, hey, I got a 300 bucks for you. Would you like that?
Kevin
That's different. Yeah, 100%. Have a great day.
Dallas Goddard
100,000. Think throws it all off, though, because you, like, really were excited.
Kevin
Like, wow, it's a lot of money.
Dallas Goddard
Okay, take a breath. Kevin, your thoughts?
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, I'm with Eddie. This is like another form of blue balls. Basically. Like, you think you're getting something, and then it's only 100 bucks, but you're.
Dallas Goddard
Getting more than you ever thought you were.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, but you're.
Dallas Goddard
When you're.
Reed Yarberry
When your mindset is like, I'm getting this, and this is what you get. You're grateful. Maybe after the fact, but initially you're like, man, I was ready.
Kevin
You're never grateful that you got $100 because you were supposed to get a thousand.
Dallas Goddard
But I would be. I would be grateful.
Reed Yarberry
But it just might take some time, though.
Dallas Goddard
Matt.
Mark Davis
I don't know. I think I might disagree. Like, I would be like, oh, okay, you know. Yes. Would I rather have $1,000? Yes. However, $100 is okay, too.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, I think I would be that way as well. It would take just a split second of reframing my mind. It's like, oh, I want to get a thousand. Oh, it's. Oh, it's only 100. Well, I guess I was never even getting 100, so it's going to be awesome. So anyway, there's no reason I told that story.
Kevin
No.
Dallas Goddard
Oh, my gosh.
Mark Davis
I thought I was about to get my super bowl ticket.
Dallas Goddard
Here's the thing. Okay. You all are. But anyway, so what made you think of that? Now I'm about to tell you the real Story as to why I thought of it. So I. I've been tracking down, trying to find Kevin's ticket, which. To get in to, like, the standing roomish places. It's like $3,000. If you want a ticket. Ticket. It's like 30 to 4,005. I gotta find him a ticket. Whatever. So I've been going through this. Even was so kind to send me a bunch of links to get him tickets, which I thought was hilarious.
Kevin
He was like.
Dallas Goddard
He's like, here you go.
Kevin
Were they, like, really good seats?
Dallas Goddard
He's like, listy. He's like, here's StubHub. I was like, I know the places.
Kevin
In case you need help.
Mark Davis
I just figured you would be alone with your thoughts and your phone a lot. Yesterday, I thought you might want to quit playing Candy Crush or whatever.
Reed Yarberry
Let me streamline it for you a little bit.
Dallas Goddard
So he sent me a whole page of links.
Mark Davis
Just Apple pay.
Reed Yarberry
It's easy.
Dallas Goddard
So I have all the tickets, by the way, so that. No, nobody's not getting a ticket. Yes. The new development is because I did NFL honors, which this wasn't my understanding, they gave me two tickets for doing honors. It was one of those things like these. These tailgate passes where I just said yes to everything and didn't know I was getting multiple tickets. So I have six tickets now.
Kevin
Whoa.
Eddie Garcia
Whoa.
Dallas Goddard
Well, there are six of us, so it works.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Eddie's looking to bring somebody else.
Mark Davis
By my calculations, that's the appropriate amount of tickets for you to have.
Dallas Goddard
But it means that. But it means I don't have to, like, stuff. Matt. Matt's going. Kevin, let's go. I have to spend money on the ticket. I have six. However, I'm about to hit you with the analogy. I'm about to get to the analogy, but go ahead.
Kevin
Because you did NFL honors, which is a very exclusive like to do it on the show.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah.
Kevin
Great job. A plus job up there. Like, are these seats, like, awesome?
Dallas Goddard
So here's the thing. Here's the thing. No.
Kevin
Okay, okay, okay.
Dallas Goddard
So the six tickets that I got, the four that I knew I was getting, which was the four that we had been fighting over, they were like, they're gonna be great seats. And down in the lower bowl, they're like, it might be down, corner, or end zone, but it'll be in the lower bowl. They're not the lower bowl. They're like, top of the stadium.
Mike DiStefano
Oh.
Dallas Goddard
Oh, yeah.
Kevin
So they did the thousand dollar thing.
Dallas Goddard
They did that. We got 100 bucks. Now, if you were gonna. I looked them up if you're gonna buy them online. It's like $3,200 a ticket. Right. It's still in. In this dome. I'm not. I'm not. You've been in this dome?
Mark Davis
Yeah, I was here for the Sugar bowl when we were playing Ohio State here, actually.
Dallas Goddard
Mallet.
Mark Davis
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
We lost that game, right?
Mike DiStefano
Yeah.
Mark Davis
But they had to vacate it, so. And I won the table.
Dallas Goddard
We don't get that. We don't get the win on that.
Mark Davis
No, that's true. But I did get to come to New Orleans and be an absolute idiot.
Dallas Goddard
And the same. The same stadium, though, right? This one kind of does. It kind of sit taller and. Yeah, it's great. And there's no such. Listen, when somebody goes, there's not a bad seat in the house, they're lying because it doesn't matter what the house is. There are seats that are. Yeah, but they were acting like this dome's a little different, where it's not as bad up. So for the tickets are the $100. But you guys didn't know where the tickets were anyway.
Kevin
Nope.
Dallas Goddard
Nope. So you weren't even guaranteed.
Mark Davis
You really could have kept that to yourself.
Dallas Goddard
Well, to me, it was $1,000.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
And my. And Jerry, who you guys know, my agent was pissed. He was calling people today going, these tickets suck. And I'm like, dude, dude, we're good. Yeah. Like, there's only to fight for something.
Kevin
That we're in the door.
Dallas Goddard
We're. So the other two that I have from honors, they're mid. Like, lower bowl. No. Yeah. Like three. Like level three or whatever. So we're four and two. Instead of being Kevin by himself, Matt by himself.
Reed Yarberry
And I thought for sure I was by myself.
Dallas Goddard
No, you're not.
Reed Yarberry
Okay.
Dallas Goddard
Which is great.
Mark Davis
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
So we have to, like, pass out the tickets, but somebody can go with me and sit a little closer. It's not a whole lot.
Kevin
Yeah, I'll do that. I'll go ahead and do that.
Dallas Goddard
And then we have six of these tailgate passes, which kind of happen the same way, which is tailgate. Superdome, 1:30 to 4:00pm That's a nice private party. Admits one. Yeah, it's a.
Mark Davis
Listen to that ticket.
Kevin
Listen to it.
Mark Davis
That thing's robust. You can whip your kids with it. You can make your kids behave with that ticket.
Dallas Goddard
Yep. So that's where. That's where we are as far as the Super Bowl. Now, the beginning of the show, we talked, because what we're going to do is we recorded all this and we were doing the post super bowl at the very beginning of this. So you heard everything that we haven't seen yet. But that's the situation. I want to get everybody their tickets individually tonight while we're in the same room. Because the transferring is always weird, trying to transfer tickets. And then let me look at my notes and see if there's anything else. No, I think I'm good. Did I. We did become friends with Kurt Warner and his wife. Did I mention that in the other part?
Kevin
We talked a little bit about it. Yeah. Yeah.
Reed Yarberry
We saw him at Starbucks this morning.
Dallas Goddard
You did? Yeah. That's cool.
Reed Yarberry
Yeah, he was waiting for his coffee along with that's 100 other people. And I was just like, cool.
Dallas Goddard
That's a cool story, man.
Kevin
We. We met the trophy last night.
Dallas Goddard
We did meet the trophy. He was real nice.
Kevin
Yeah, we're very nice. Didn't talk a lot.
Dallas Goddard
You know, here's the thing. The. The Lombardi.
Kevin
Yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Or the Hunt. The Lombardi is the main trophy. Yeah. That's the Super Bowl. Yeah. What's the hunt?
Reed Yarberry
Afc.
Dallas Goddard
Is that what it is? Yeah. Okay. So you could go up and take a picture beside it and you couldn't touch it and someone had to take the picture for you. But the person that was taking the picture was like a 62 year old white man who did not know how to take a picture.
Mark Davis
Like he was operating iPhones. Yes, bro, that is just a mistake.
Dallas Goddard
The picture I have of it, I didn't even want to post it. I had to do Tokyo Filter so it looked halfway decent and that's like total gray.
Kevin
So it's. It's not good. I haven't even looked at mine. Oh, no.
Dallas Goddard
Papa was running the digital department.
Mark Davis
This was just a bad fit.
Dallas Goddard
Yes. You know, I think he was protecting it, but he was also being photographer. Any other thoughts? We met. Belichick's girl was with him. She's 24. Like in. In person. She's 24.
Kevin
Pretty. She's very pretty.
Mark Davis
Good for coach. That just goes to show you that if you try hard and believe in yourself and you work very hard, success can open up doors you never imagined.
Reed Yarberry
Because I'm sure, brother.
Mark Davis
Because Bill Belichick could not take that picture right now. And he is dating someone that could take the picture.
Dallas Goddard
Did you see the picture they took with all the rings? He had all his rings on. I think it may be seven or eight, because he has also the. When he was coordinator super bowl rings. And she had her championship ring on.
Kevin
Yes, she did.
Dallas Goddard
But it was from cheerleading college. She was like, well, I have our championship rings. She won national championship. I thought, that's pretty cool. Did you. That's not pretty cool.
Mark Davis
That's cool.
Kevin
We saw Al Davis. Is that all Davis?
Dallas Goddard
No, no, no, no.
Reed Yarberry
Rip Al Davis.
Dallas Goddard
I'll. Davis's son, Mike Davis.
Kevin
Mike, Mike. No, I just pulled a Christmas again.
Dallas Goddard
Mark, Isn't it Mark?
Kevin
Yeah, the one with the bangs.
Mark Davis
Banks Davis.
Dallas Goddard
Yes. And it's exactly.
Kevin
Dude, it's a trip.
Dallas Goddard
You see him and you're like, oh, that's real. That's.
Kevin
That's real.
Dallas Goddard
Yep.
Kevin
And they're cut perfectly.
Dallas Goddard
He has to have a stylist that does it exactly how he wants. Not even somebody who accidentally did that, but who does it exactly like that.
Kevin
So that's Mark. Mike.
Dallas Goddard
Mark Davis.
Mark Davis
I want to know, like, when his house goes up for sale and the Zillow hits the market, I want to see what that taste in haircut manifests itself into square footage. Like, I want to see what the.
Dallas Goddard
Art looks like inside of all that area.
Mark Davis
There's like a Golden lion fountain as you walk in. You know, I feel like there would be some, like, Dr. Phil. Y'all remember Dr. Phil's house? No, it was wild.
Dallas Goddard
Like.
Mark Davis
Like Alice in Wonderland. It was like the Zillow listing or whatever.
Dallas Goddard
You know, we went to the. He's a minority owner of the Steelers. He.
Mark Davis
Bro, you're on a. You're going to get canceled with this minority this and colored that.
Dallas Goddard
Fair enough.
Mark Davis
Can we clean it up?
Dallas Goddard
He is.
Kevin
He's a part owner. Let's just.
Dallas Goddard
No, he's a. He's. He. The Steelers have a majority owner, and I think he's the second owner. So he's a minority owner of the Steeler. So we went to his. To his house, and he lives on.
Kevin
One of his houses.
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, Florida house. But he has two house. So he lives on Disney in Disneyland. So there's a neighborhood in Disneyland. And each house, millions and millions, millions. And he bought two of them upside each other. And you go into one of the houses. We took pictures. I can say this. Only Jared Allen Son and I signed NDAs, and we're done with that at this point. He has the ride in his house that's at Disney.
Kevin
The Haunted Mansion.
Dallas Goddard
The Haunted Mansion. You can get in it. And it's like the elevator. The ride.
Kevin
He has the one where the room closes in on you and like, yeah.
Mark Davis
I'm out on that. But that's awesome that he has it.
Dallas Goddard
Every room is themed a different. You can go into, like, the Lion King, the Toy Story room. Dude, a Star Wars. Things open the bedrooms crazy.
Kevin
It's amazing.
Dallas Goddard
It's unlike anything I've ever seen. Like, literally a house, but it's like their second house next to their other house. And I would bet each house is worth $10 million. And that's the party house. And we went in. Eddie saw some Pappy Van Winkle, went right at it.
Kevin
I'd never seen it before.
Dallas Goddard
And he was like, I'm getting it. Started drinking it out of a.
Kevin
Out of a red solo cup.
Mark Davis
See, I feel like that's an allegory for our lives.
Dallas Goddard
Yes.
Mark Davis
You know, we go high, low on them.
Dallas Goddard
Yes.
Mark Davis
We have a taste for the final things, but we haven't forgot where we come from.
Kevin
That's right.
Dallas Goddard
That's why I did not complain about my rusted tub. So, okay, we are done. Thank you for listening to this podcast. And I, I, I'm tired.
Kevin
It's been a trip, man.
Dallas Goddard
It's been a trip, man.
Kevin
But I am. New Orleans doubts. I'm ready to go home. One more day, though. One more day.
Dallas Goddard
I don't like New Orleans. I like the local people of New Orleans. But here's why I don't like New Orleans. I can't eat anything. Yeah.
Kevin
It's a lot of fried stuff.
Mark Davis
I've eaten everything. It's not just so everyone knows.
Dallas Goddard
Not the fried stuff. It's the. It's nobody.
Kevin
But everything's fried. Like, even, like, a salad. I got a salad. That is right.
Dallas Goddard
Everything.
Kevin
Oh, yeah, it was fried. Like, everything I've gotten. I'm like, that looks kind of healthy. Oh, it's fried.
Dallas Goddard
Okay.
Kevin
Got it.
Dallas Goddard
Wow.
Kevin
Yeah, that's just how they do it here, man.
Dallas Goddard
So love the people. Met a lot of listeners here that are actual locals, mostly that are working. So I would go places. They'll be like, what up, cops?
Kevin
Cops?
Dallas Goddard
Yeah, a couple cops. You? A couple cops. So love that. But the city makes me not feel good.
Reed Yarberry
Yep.
Dallas Goddard
So it's not my favorite when it comes to that. Matt loves it, though.
Mark Davis
I'm just like a pig. And over here, I love the city.
Dallas Goddard
You might eat the stuff, though.
Mark Davis
I can eat everything. I had. I had pork cheeks for lunch with you yesterday. I ate.
Kevin
Hey, don't worry. We took care of your meal. We.
Mark Davis
Yeah, we share oysters that we ordered.
Dallas Goddard
And I did order them.
Kevin
Oh, yeah.
Dallas Goddard
Did I tell that story here?
Kevin
You did not.
Reed Yarberry
Our imaginary friend yesterday.
Kevin
When you finish your story, we'll tell you our side of the story. Was really, which is really funny. She for sure thought you were imaginary.
Dallas Goddard
Okay, let's, let's do this on the next episode.
Kevin
