Eddie
All right.
Bobby Bones
Welcome to the first episode of 2026. And I don't know where you want me to start, but I will start on. We just flew back into town. We're recording this on Sunday night. So we flew back in like two hours ago. And so have you been to LaGuardia in New York airport?
Eddie
I've been before. I haven't. It's been a bit.
Bobby Bones
It's new and it's nice now. Oh, that's where we flew out of that.
Eddie
I didn't know.
Bobby Bones
It's all. It's actually great.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Which it hasn't been. And so we're getting on the flight because we spent a few days in New York and I'm not a big judger of what people do on planes. This dude pulled out an order of Chinese food that he didn't get at the airport. So it's not even a story. It's. It's not even a story of someone buying food that stinks in the airport and then opening it. Because Eddie's a big egg guy, just generally speaking.
Eddie
Boiled eggs in the morning.
Kevin
Yes.
Bobby Bones
And so he makes the room smell like boiled eggs a lot. This guy has a little to do.
Eddie
With your story, but go ahead.
Bobby Bones
My point is, I don't really judge you on making food smells in that room. They go away pretty quickly. That's your breakfast. But when you get on a plane in a little tube with 200 other people, it's trapped. And he didn't get it in the airport. If in the airport you thought, I sure would like some Chinese food. That looks good. Oh, my flight's happening a little quicker than I thought. I'll take it to go. I'll take it on the plane and eat it. Even then I would go, you're not thinking of others, but I understand. Maybe you weren't thinking at all. This guy brought in a full Tupperware set with plastic spoons, plastic forks.
Kevin
He'd done this before in the middle.
Bobby Bones
Opens it up, and Caitlin looks at me and goes, oh, she thinks I farted or something. On the plane, it smelled that bad. I look over and he's just going to town on a home, brought super stinky Chinese food meal. And I don't want to look around and. And make the guy feel awkward, but he wasn't. He didn't think anyone would think anything of it. I look over and we all have a bond. These people that I've never talked to before in my life and never met. I still hadn't met them, but we were sitting next to each other on the plane or in rows. I was looking around, they were looking at me. We're like, are you seeing what we're seeing? Guy was going hard. So that was my. That was my experience coming in to today. We were in New York. It's cold.
Eddie
Is it? Is it cold?
Bobby Bones
It sucks.
Eddie
Is it snowing?
Bobby Bones
No, it wasn't snowing, but it had snowed before we got there, so there was still some snow on the ground.
Eddie
Oh, that's cool.
Bobby Bones
But we were staying in the city, so there was any snow there, because that's so traveled. Yeah.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But it was super cold in New York. So much so when I landed here, when it was 45, it felt warm.
Kevin
Yeah, I was gonna say it probably felt warm here.
Bobby Bones
It was cutting, like, I went out and I took a picture and I put it on my Instagram, and my nose is so dry from it being cold. Like, I keep grabbing my nose and I put a picture up because I will go out. And I had, like, three layers on top and had a hood up over my ears, but I only had jeans on the bottom because even if I'm packing for cold, I don't really pack things to wear under my pants.
Eddie
What are you gonna do? Long johns?
Sponsor Voice 1
Like, who does that?
Bobby Bones
That's what I told Caitlin. What am I gonna wear? Long johns? I don't even own long johns. And so I posted on my Instagram picture, and I was like, not really a cold guy. And you see, I'm in layers. But do you guys ever wear anything under your jeans?
Eddie
No.
Kevin
If it's cold, no.
Bobby Bones
Don't you just go cold legs?
Kevin
Yeah. Maybe, like, throw basketball shorts underneath even then.
Bobby Bones
What's that gonna do with how tight my pants?
Kevin
Offers a little bit more of, like, a thick layer and some comfort there. Yeah, it helps a little bit, but I don't, like, bring that thinking I'm Bringing these for this top half of.
Bobby Bones
My body, I think. Oh, yeah, Your T shirt. I had on a hoodie. Add on a coat. I had on a hat over the top of my head and the hoodie over my ears. Shoes. If I need to wear two pair of socks, I will. But pants? It was just one tiny layer of jean and I was freezing. And so on that Instagram, the guy commented, you should do more leg work. It looks like you have bird legs.
Eddie
Oh. Because you're so big up top.
Bobby Bones
No, I was. No, I think he just thought I had bird legs.
Eddie
Okay. All right.
Bobby Bones
Really? Here's the thing about being an adult. We don't care anymore. I think when I was 25, I probably cared a little. Now I know I have skinny calves, but I. We don't care anymore, dude.
Eddie
What's crazy? Even, like, when we're, like, full on working out legs, our legs never got bigger. I think legs are just like, you are who you are with legs.
Kevin
It's very hereditary, right? Yeah, I believe that too, because.
Bobby Bones
I know some dudes that are ripped up who have small calves and they obsess over their calves and they try to make their calves bigger. And I think you probably can change them a little bit if you put the work into it.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But you're right. I think it's mostly genetic.
Kevin
Yeah. And when I see dudes with big.
Eddie
Calves, I'm like, dang, they've had them their whole life. Yeah.
Kevin
Like, you were born with that for sure. No matter what you do, whether you work out or not, you're going to have those calves.
Bobby Bones
I don't want to say that's absolutely true, because I do think there is, like, 20% you can change. You're right. Dudes with big calves are mostly dudes that were born with big calves.
Eddie
Have you ever done the calf raising machine at the gym? Like, do they still have them at gym?
Bobby Bones
Have I done them? Yes. But, like, one time because I don't really feel like they get any bigger. I think I probably even went in my early 20s and tried to get bigger calves, and they never got bigger. After six months or so, it was kind of like the machine. Did you ever go to the Y and they had one that was like a. Not a rope, but like a cloth, and it wrapped around you and it, like, shook you.
Kevin
You ever see that one? Sounds like a ride.
Brandon Ray
Granny had one of those.
Bobby Bones
You never saw those?
Eddie
No. Is that so? Like, it shakes your fat.
Bobby Bones
I don't really know what it was for because it wasn't like the thing, because we have one at our house now that you stand on and it shakes you. But what that is, is you have to engage your core the whole time.
Kevin
Yes.
Bobby Bones
And that's the point of it. It shakes you, and you have to engage your core as it shakes you. This machine, it was just like a strap, like a cloth strap that went on your butt and just shook your butt the whole time.
Eddie
Yeah. So, like, when I watch my old black and white movies, they'll show, like, an old teenage. Like a young teenage girl strapped to the washing machine. And she's doing that, and they're like.
Bobby Bones
Oh, quit working out what movies you watch.
Eddie
You know, like, they're like.
Kevin
Like that.
Eddie
Like that.
Kevin
Look, it's only fans, Eddie.
Bobby Bones
That is kind of what they had at the gym. Yeah.
Eddie
And you see the girl and she's like, I'm losing weight, daddy. I guess the shaking of the washing machine made him lose weight.
Kevin
Dang. People are gonna see, like, the shake weights in 50 years from now.
Bobby Bones
That was the thing, too. And I think if you use that right, though, there was some benefit to a shake weight because they shook hard. I'm just saying. The same reason you have to engage your core on these new machines.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
If you engage something and it. You shake it. And maybe that's what that machine was for, but it was like a cloth rope that went around your butt.
Eddie
I never saw that one.
Bobby Bones
Anyway, I just got triggered from that dude saying you do legs and not trigger because it bothered me, because I know what my legs are, but triggered because, dude, nobody cares about that. Once you get to a certain age as an adult, you don't really care about your legs and how big they are.
Kevin
Yeah, that's an underrated part of being an adult. I feel like it's not caring nobody, especially about your calves, especially about your.
Bobby Bones
Cab, but I did. Did you guys have a part of your life where you were conscious of your calves?
Kevin
Oh, yes. Until probably three months ago.
Bobby Bones
Maybe you're just getting out of this.
Kevin
No, definitely a few years ago. I definitely got past it. But I mean, pretty much my entire life, especially playing football and lifting and these guys with big calves and big legs. Oh, man.
Bobby Bones
I feel like every dude had a stage where they were obsessed with their calves at some point.
Eddie
Yeah, there's never big enough.
Bobby Bones
They could have been six months or it could have been six years. But every dude at some point was obsessed with their calves. Especially in pictures where we have five dudes in here. Yeah, you were at a point. I was for sure at A point. I was just embarrassed of them. So my obsession was, I'll try to make them bigger or I just won't. Take a picture where you can see them.
Kevin
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Were you ever obsessed with your calves?
Eddie
Not really, because my leg. My quads are small, so it was all just like one stick. What size?
Bobby Bones
Well, I didn't have huge quads either, but I felt like I could hide the quad in shorts and shorts. You wear long shorts, you don't really see the quality, man.
Eddie
I never worried about it just because I knew they were small and, like, it's just whatever, dude.
Bobby Bones
Did you ever lift, though?
Eddie
No. Like, in high school, I lifted because that's what everyone did. And then, like, after high school, college, definitely didn't lift a weight. Not one. Then somewhere like, 20s, you know, I would work out a little bit just because I knew I had to be healthy. And then probably the heaviest we've worked out is just like, in the last, like, two years, you and I. I.
Bobby Bones
Haven'T worked out in three months because of my ankle.
Kevin
You dying?
Bobby Bones
I finally got back a little bit this weekend. We were staying at this hotel, and I just went down to the gym and I rode the bike for half an hour.
Kevin
How good that feel?
Bobby Bones
I mean, good, I guess, in my brain.
Kevin
Yeah, exactly.
Bobby Bones
But I've lost all ability to have any sort of cardio. It was great, though, because I didn't wear a brace on my ankle for the first time. And I walked all around New York. And it was the first. I say all around. It was cold, so we went in a lot of places. But it was the first time that I haven't been super conscious of my ankle the whole time. There were full blocks where I didn't even think about it.
Eddie
That's good.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And I'd go, whoa. I haven't thought about my ankle and I haven't hurt it because in the past, if I walked on it for three minutes after the surgery, it would kill me. So that's the stage I am. I go to the surgeon on Thursday, and if I get clear, then I get to do some work on it. I ride the bike because the bike is not impact.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But if I get the clearance from the surgeon this week, I get to finally do, like. Like some mild jogging on a treadmill. I don't know, wherever.
Eddie
Are you still PT in it?
Bobby Bones
Yes, I have that tomorrow.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I go every week, two times a week. And it hurts every time because they make it hurt.
Kevin
How long has it been now?
Bobby Bones
November, right before Thanksgiving.
Kevin
And did you have any idea? Because I'm obviously. No, because I'm going through right now and I haven't even started pt, but I'm like two and a half weeks in. I'm like, this has been awful.
Bobby Bones
It's been.
Eddie
It was awful.
Bobby Bones
It was way harder than I thought it was going to be.
Kevin
Yes.
Bobby Bones
I told my wife I'd go into surgery and the next week I'd be back. I'd probably not be able to jog or anything, but I'd probably back. And I was still on a cart.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Scooter. I was in a boot for three weeks. Yeah. I definitely didn't pay much attention to it, but they said if I didn't fix it and then we're gonna have a baby, I was going to be in a boot or with a hurt ankle for probably the next.
Kevin
See, that's where you're smart. Like, I can't even lift my kids and they only weigh 16 pounds and I can't live an absent dad. Yeah.
Eddie
You can't do one hand.
Kevin
My. My wife, like, she's just doing everything by herself. I'm sitting on the couch just like, you need anything else, open a beer. That's it.
Bobby Bones
It did get me out of a lot of at home work, though.
Eddie
I bet it did.
Bobby Bones
The first week and a half, I was on pain pills.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Where it didn't matter what I did or what I wanted to do. I couldn't drive, I couldn't do anything. I was out of it. And then, you know, even though she was pregnant, she had more mobility than I did, so I did very little. Watched a lot of television shows.
Kevin
Yes. Thank God for football.
Bobby Bones
So, yeah. This first time I had walked your shoulders. Doing what? Like, where are you now?
Kevin
I am past the first two and a half weeks. I got four weeks left end of the month.
Bobby Bones
And it's just in the sling.
Kevin
In the sling, that is. Yeah. I start PT on Wednesday, going twice a week. And then we go back or I go back to the surgeon at the end of the month and hopefully get out of this sling.
Bobby Bones
What'd you do?
Kevin
I had a torn rotator cuff surgery from football 12 years ago. One of those. I never got taken care of and then just kept getting worse and it turned into a full tear.
Bobby Bones
Worst surgery you ever had.
Eddie
My finger, when I sliced my finger and they said it was hanging, the tendon was hanging by like a thread, literally.
Bobby Bones
That's recent.
Eddie
Last five years, five, six years ago. But, dude, you talk about rehab, you don't think about rehabbing. A finger.
Bobby Bones
Okay, dude, that was because I already. When you said my finger, I was like, I'm gonna let him, dog. That's his worst one. And when you go. We don't understand finger rehab.
Eddie
So when they had to sew the tendon back together, my finger was straight and I could not bend it. And they're like, it's gonna be. It's gonna be a process for you to actually make a fist again. And they weren't kidding, dude. I went in and they would make a mold, and they would make the mold to where I would curve my finger about, like a centimeter. And then for one week, I'd work on that centimeter, bend it about a centimeter, and then they would move the mold to about, like, half an inch. Move it half an inch.
Bobby Bones
Oh.
Eddie
It struggled to bend it.
Bobby Bones
Option the movie rights to that.
Eddie
It was torturous.
Bobby Bones
Okay, thanks.
Kevin
For granted, though. You do, like, when you. I'm just saying, with my shoulder, like, just the everyday stuff. Going to the bathroom with one. One arm. One hand.
Bobby Bones
At least it's your left arm, though.
Kevin
Thank God.
Eddie
Yeah, thank God.
Bobby Bones
And I was super lucky that it was my left ankle because I could still drive because I don't have a standard.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So even fit on the left side, so I wouldn't need it.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But I was lucky there.
Kevin
Even me driving, I usually drive with my left hand, and now I gotta drive my right. And I don't feel as comfortable. Like, I can drive easily, but I don't know, I feel like if I have to, like, make a quick decision.
Eddie
You can't do it.
Kevin
Hope it doesn't happen.
Bobby Bones
Worst surgery ever had.
Kevin
Yeah. This is it. Well, no, actually, the other one is the. I had an appendicitis. My appendix bursts. And that maybe because I was younger. I was 12. I think the recovery and everything just was a lot worse.
Eddie
Is it as bad as my finger?
Bobby Bones
Nothing is.
Eddie
No, no, no, you can't.
Bobby Bones
You're making movies about my.
Eddie
Did you get your appendix taken out?
Bobby Bones
Oh, no. So my spleen. My spleen. Probably a little different. I feel like the append. Is it appendicitis? Yeah, I feel like that's slightly more common. Super dangerous. I'm glad you didn't die.
Kevin
Me too.
Eddie
Yeah, dude, we're glad you're here.
Kevin
They yelled at my parents, like, two more days, he would have died.
Eddie
Really?
Kevin
They're like, he's a 12 year with a stomachache.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Dang.
Eddie
You almost. Yeah, dude.
Kevin
But I kept them hanging on, you.
Bobby Bones
Know, that's a Good movie too. I fell off a house and fell onto my stomach onto a boat trailer and ruptured my spleen. Almost died that whole thing. That was such a weird. I still have a scar that goes from pretty close to the bottom of my sternum all the way down to, like, my front of my pubic bone.
Kevin
How old were you?
Bobby Bones
Six.
Kevin
Oh, wow.
Eddie
Yeah. That's a real thing, Brandon. Don't laugh.
Bobby Bones
It's medical.
Eddie
Dude.
Kevin
Come on, Brandon.
Bobby Bones
That the annoying thing about my ankle? Because, again, ankle surgery, it sounds stupid. If you cut off your leg and you can't use your leg, it's so limiting. Ankle, knee, anything on a leg. So I was on a scooter for a while, which was annoying. It was in a boot. Not. I'm sure the arm's tough too, but you have to walk.
Eddie
Mm, yeah. Like, the arm. You can't. Okay. You can't grab things.
Bobby Bones
You can't wipe your full butt.
Eddie
But, yeah, dude, walking. That's.
Bobby Bones
That's not as bad as the spleen surgery. I've had a few surgeries, but that one was worse than I thought because I really didn't respect it because I didn't think that I wouldn't be able to walk for a while.
Eddie
I know it's easy to say, like, you look at people, right, with, like, two working legs, and you're like, oh, lucky you have two working legs.
Bobby Bones
I would get so resentful of people just, like, skipping on television, right? I'd be like, you don't even know what you. You don't even know what you got, man.
Kevin
Which you.
Eddie
You think. Think that when you're going through it, but then, like, right now that, like, okay, my. Your legs are working now. Like, are you ever gonna think of that again?
Bobby Bones
No. But I would compare it to whenever you're sick, you're going, man, I should appreciate when I'm not sick. I mean, if I just. The next time I'm just not sick, I should just be like, life is so good because you feel so bad when you're sick. You ever have those moments, the next time my throat's not sore, I'm gonna live it up. I'm gonna appreciate it so much. And then your throat's not sore, you don't think about it. Never sore. But, you know, I'm trying to really take it in, and I'm starting to get better.
Kevin
That's like, I know you' never drank, but Eddie can probably relate.
Eddie
Oh, I'm never drinking again.
Kevin
When you're hungover and you're just like, I'm never, ever drinking again. Like, I will. I just. I'm sorry. God.
Bobby Bones
Like a little bit of self imposed, like, you did that to yourself.
Eddie
It is, dude. But you're. You're praying to the gods, being like, God, I'm telling you right now, cut my leg off.
Bobby Bones
Messed up. When you're sick, you didn't really mess up.
Kevin
You're just like, well, be sick than hungover at some points.
Eddie
Dude, hang. Being hungover feels like you're dying.
Bobby Bones
Okay. But I would say the difference is, you know why and you know it'll be over soon.
Eddie
Yes, but it's.
Bobby Bones
When you're. It's hard to see that light flu. It's three or four days of. You don't know when you're gonna get better. And the. And the gradual climb back from the flu. You've all had the flu.
Eddie
Yeah, it's bad.
Bobby Bones
It takes sometimes three weeks to get back.
Eddie
Yeah, bro. I think covet was worse than the flu. Oh, Covid. The one I had the first covet. The Florida covet. Oh, dude.
Kevin
In Florida.
Eddie
Yeah. I got it at the, like, the peak of COVID Like, people are saying.
Bobby Bones
Don'T get the early peak. Like, the peak. I was doing the frenzy of the.
Kevin
Peak of, like, March, April, or it.
Bobby Bones
Was like, probably April.
Kevin
Right. Okay.
Bobby Bones
It was like, right when it launched. Somehow Tom Hanks and Eddie got it.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah.
Kevin
We were together.
Bobby Bones
America was just completely sad because Eddie and Tom Hanks had Covid.
Kevin
Oh, wait, didn't he go to, like, another country or something? Did you go with him or.
Bobby Bones
No. And like, the news was like, Tom Hanks, we're all sad. We're like, no, Poor Tom.
Eddie
We're losing.
Bobby Bones
But Eddie had Covid. And it was so early in the process that it was, if someone has Covid, they could kill you.
Kevin
Gotcha.
Bobby Bones
And so we made Eddie stay home until he tested negative.
Eddie
Correct.
Bobby Bones
What we learned later was it could.
Eddie
Stick a test positive for, like, two years.
Bobby Bones
So Eddie stayed home for Forever.
Eddie
Dude. And I would go back to the doctor every week and be like, I need to take another test. And they're like, you've been here, like, every week for a month. It's gonna test positive. Like, it's going. I'm like, will you stick it on my butt? I gotta give it something. Yeah, something else, man. Stay away from my nose.
Bobby Bones
Worst surgery you ever had, Mike. Luckily, just wisdom teeth removal, so that doesn't really count. That's.
Eddie
You're lucky.
Bobby Bones
But that sucks because I've had wisdom teeth Taken out. It's tough. I think it counts too. I think if you have a bad one. I know people that have had wisdom teeth taken out and it wasn't that bad.
Eddie
And you have to drink out of a straw for like a week or something. A couple days. Like, what's the worst?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, a few days, I had mine taken. I got dry sockets. Really bad.
Brandon Ray
Oh, that's when it gets bad.
Bobby Bones
That's when it's. Yeah, it crushed. No, I did. I was on, like, hydrocodone and I don't take that medicine. It hurts. Oh, really? It hurts so bad. I was on hydrocodone. Yeah, I took that medicine. That messed me up. Yeah, it messed me up. My feet were floating and I was like, I stop taking this. I would lay in the bed and my feet would be lifted above my head. Oh, God.
Brandon Ray
That's what I felt.
Kevin
Before the surgery with the shoulder, did.
Eddie
You take the prescribed amount? Like, was that normal for you to feel like that?
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Eddie
Wow.
Bobby Bones
But I thought I flushed them. I flushed.
Eddie
Oh, no. You're like. You're like in the movies. I gotta.
Bobby Bones
I started to like them, so I flushed them immediately. Brandon, where? Surgery.
Brandon Ray
When I was 13 and 14, I had to have two surgeries on my foot.
Kevin
I got.
Brandon Ray
I have about six inch screws. Two six inch screws in my left foot. And it was awful. And I feel it every day still.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Especially cold because there's a foreign body in your foot.
Brandon Ray
Yeah.
Eddie
Is it trouble with metal detectors?
Kevin
No.
Bobby Bones
Oh, good question.
Eddie
Yeah. Yeah. Thank you.
Kevin
Yeah.
Eddie
Like at the airport. Sir, you have to go through again.
Bobby Bones
Good question.
Brandon Ray
There would be, but there's. There's no trouble.
Kevin
Do you ever, like, tell them you should check my foot?
Brandon Ray
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay, guys, before I go through, you should know when I was 13 and my friend Eddie, he had a finger rehab that was really hard.
Brandon Ray
He's so brave.

Eddie
It was good to see you guys.
Kevin
Happy New Year.
Bobby Bones
All that stuff. What. What did you do?
Kevin
I did a whole lot of nothing, man. I couldn't do anything. We went to Alabama for a few days at my. My wife's family farm down there, but even then it was just like, I can't do anything.
Bobby Bones
Your wife has a family farm?
Kevin
Yeah, they have a bunch of acres down there.
Eddie
Is that married her?
Kevin
Yeah. What a good reason. No. Yeah, so we went down there for a few days, but we had to leave a day early because the kids got sick, too, the babies got sick. So we had to take off out of there and take them to the doctor. They had some ear infections.
Bobby Bones
Did they both get sick at the same time?
Kevin
Same time?
Bobby Bones
Did you get it?
Kevin
I didn't. I got like a little tickle in my throat, but nothing more than that.
Bobby Bones
Did you want to be away from them once they were sick? So you didn't get sick?
Kevin
Well, I was already away from them anyway because my shoulder.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah.
Kevin
Yeah. I could hardly play with them, do anything with them. So I was all right. But nobody else really got. Yeah, nobody else got sick. It was just them. And so they're still on antibiotics now, but they're almost done with them. So it's been kind of a crappy break, honestly.
Bobby Bones
My wife was asleep by 10. I was asleep by 11, which is.
Eddie
Yeah, we watched it. We watched it like we can kind of see downtown from our house. So we watched, like, the fireworks. It was cool because we got to see on TV and in person because, like, it was on TV at the same time while it was happening in person. But we just. I'm dude, new Year's is like, there's nothing. Like, the boys want to stay up. They're excited because, oh, we get to see it till midnight, but we don't do anything.
Bobby Bones
You know what I did over the break that I haven't done in probably four years? I added friends on Facebook.
Eddie
Why?
Bobby Bones
I don't ever get on Facebook.
Eddie
Why would you do such a thing?
Bobby Bones
And I don't have it on my phone. Like, I don't even have Facebook on my phone.
Eddie
So, like, new friend. New friends.
Bobby Bones
I went on to. I got on my laptop and I went to Facebook and it said something like, hey, you need to log in. It looks like there's been some fishy account. I got one of those messages. So I went. Went through and kicked out whoever was on it. Got my page back. But it was very easy, so they must have just. I just got the. I guess I got the code.
Eddie
The verification code?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, like the authentication code. Yeah, yeah. And I was like, why didn't do this? So let me go to Facebook. And I couldn't log in. So I changed my password, got in, and I had, like, a thousand requests. I hadn't been on Facebook in forever. And so I went through, like, five or six. I added, like, three friends, people that I have.
Eddie
The thousands.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, a lot of them. I don't even maintain a Facebook page. And so. And sometimes, though, it'll post. What happens is, though my fit, it's linked through my Instagram, so people think I live an active Facebook life. Like the hundred people from college, a couple from high school. Because if I post something on Instagram, it goes through to Facebook and it also goes through to Threads. So people see it and think I'm on Facebook, but then they try to add me and I'm not. But I had, like, three friends on Facebook.
Sponsor Voice 3
Cool.
Eddie
That's awesome.
Kevin
Did you message them too, or just add them?
Eddie
No talking.
Bobby Bones
They requested me. I just accepted the invitation.
Kevin
Okay. Okay. I thought you meant you added them. Like, you're like, you know what? Now I'm gonna add some people, too. And you went to three random people?
Bobby Bones
I didn't go anywhere.
Eddie
No.
Bobby Bones
I kind of stayed on my own base. The thing about Facebook, that's weird because I did scroll a bit through the feedback. People fall for everything on that page.
Eddie
Yeah, because they're all old. They're older people, and older people fall for things.
Bobby Bones
Like they had a movie trailer for, like, Rocky 9. I guess it wasn't. It was like a movie picture, like an AI picture. They do those so much on Facebook, they're hilarious. I've not.
Kevin
It looked.
Eddie
You fell for it, too.
Bobby Bones
It's not that I fell for. It looked real. I have a pretty good AI because I use it so much that I can tell most of the time when something is AI, especially if it's a computer generated image. But I saw it and I thought, rocky nine. Have they even made eight? And then I started going through. Yeah, I was going through Balboa.
Eddie
Balboa's got a count or something.
Bobby Bones
And so they're not making it. And as I scrolled, it was just a lot of fake stuff. It was like there was another one on some country site that my algorithm fed me on Facebook. It was like, Luke Combs tells Lainey Wilson to shove it with her liberal ways. And, like, none of that happened. And then if you look at the comments, everybody's fired up.
Brandon Ray
Like, it's true.
Bobby Bones
That's what I'm talking about. Yeah. They're like, I told you.
Kevin
So.
Bobby Bones
I had a moment on Facebook.
Eddie
That's fun. You gonna go back or are you done?
Bobby Bones
Well, I don't know that I have interest to go back other than us talking about it, but I think I'm still logged in. So if I go now, you got.
Eddie
To get it on your phone.
Bobby Bones
Like, I will not get it on my phone because I don't. I don't value it so much. And if I get it on my phone, like, this is who my algorithm feeds me because I just haven't been on it a lot. Tennessee Titans fan club.
Eddie
Okay. That's you. It's definitely you.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Number one fan.
Bobby Bones
Not me. JCPenney.
Eddie
Oh, wow.
Bobby Bones
Gotta ad for JCPenney. I was seeing if there were any other people still post on there.
Kevin
Like. Yeah, because I haven't had in almost 10 years, probably there are a few.
Eddie
People from my high school that still post.
Kevin
Like, what are you thinking? Like, that kind of stuff? Like a Twitter kind of thing, or.
Eddie
No, like, they're. They're trips.
Kevin
Okay. Pictures.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
People getting back together.
Bobby Bones
Now, that's what I'm seeing. I'm. Oh, here's one. I take pictures of radio and TV stations, and I can join. And it's just people in a group that go and take pictures of radio stations and TV stations.
Eddie
It's literally that, like, outside this TV.
Bobby Bones
Station, it's a tower. I'm looking at a tower, a radio tower. Here's a good one. I got Liar, Liar two, the Whole Truth, starring Jim Carrey and Miles Teller as his son. Let's go. Fake One. Yeah, it's fake one. Yeah. And they believe that crap.
Kevin
I watch that.
Eddie
Sounds good.
Bobby Bones
So, yeah, I added that onto my.
Eddie
So what do you have on your phone? Just like Twitter? Instagram.
Bobby Bones
No, probably TikTok. Twitter, obviously. Instagram. I think those are three that I use the most.
Eddie
You're still Snapchatting?
Bobby Bones
No, dude, I haven't used Snapchat. Have you heard the story about our friend that shared his penis with the whole group?
Kevin
Yes.
Eddie
That was crazy.
Bobby Bones
He meant to.
Brandon Ray
Just said I was sorry.
Bobby Bones
He meant to just share it with one girl.
Eddie
Oh, my God.
Bobby Bones
Except he put it out on his. On the public line and he was kind of a part of us for a while, so he had some followers. And it's just a picture of his doll.
Eddie
Sent it to everyone.
Kevin
Wait, it was like. I thought it was just to you guys.
Eddie
No, no, he sent it. He put it on his feed. Like.
Kevin
Oh, like his story, kind of.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
I haven't been on Snapchat since. When I lived in Brentwood those days. Like, the first couple years we lived here. That was it.
Eddie
Mother. Brentwood. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I guess we can talk about some sports. That is kind of what we do.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
I'm rooting for Ole Miss. Win the national championship now.
Eddie
That'd be cool.
Kevin
Okay.
Bobby Bones
But no Oregon. I just think it would be hilarious for Lane Kiffin to leave Ole Miss and them to win a championship when Lane Kiffin left so he could go win a championship somewhere.
Kevin
Yeah.
Eddie
Ironic.
Bobby Bones
I think that would be hilarious.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I would like to see Ole Miss beat Miami. I think that'd be a pretty good game. Although I bet a thousand bucks on Georgia to win the whole thing and they got beat. Indiana looks really good. Oregon looks really good. It's like that side has the two stronger teams.
Kevin
Right.
Bobby Bones
But I don't. I don't think anything anymore.
Kevin
Yeah. You don't know?
Eddie
Who knows?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Who knows?
Eddie
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
But I think I'm officially rooting for Ole Miss to win just because that would be so funny with Lane Kiffin leaving so he could go win a national championship because he can't probably win one at Ole Miss and them to win one. Yeah, I don't think they will because I don't think their offensive defensive line is strong enough. But that's what I would like to see.
Kevin
If you were an assistant coach, do you think you would want to leave and go to lsu? You know, the whole debacle is going through right now.
Bobby Bones
You would go to lsu, I think. But the only one that's getting to stay now with the next round Games is Weiss Jr. Yeah. Yeah. And I don't think Lane Kiffin thinks he's gonna even go to lsu, but I don't know. I read today that just Charlie Weiss Jr. Which. The pictures of him as a kid on the sideline of Notre Dame with his dad are really funny.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Because he's like 11 with his headset.
Kevin
On when Weiss is a head coach there. Yeah, I haven't even seen those.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's funny.
Eddie
Gosh, I feel like that. That doesn't feel like that long ago when he was the head coach there.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's.
Eddie
So how old is coach. How old is his son? He must be pretty young.
Bobby Bones
32.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I don't know. How old's Charlie Weiss Jr. 32.
Eddie
Yeah. Wow. That's crazy, dude. That doesn't feel like a long time ago when his dad was the coach.
Kevin
Dang. That is crazy.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's probably 20 years ago.
Eddie
Yeah.
Kevin
Yeah, that was a long time ago. Now, the name.
Eddie
So what was Shane Beamer? I saw something on TikTok where Shane.
Bobby Bones
Beamer was upset because Lane Kiffin hired one of his assistants without calling him. Yeah, because generally what's supposed to happen is if you're going to hire somebody from a staff, they won't tell you. No, but you should have.
Eddie
It's like a heads up.
Bobby Bones
You should have the courtesy to call and go, hey, I want to interview and hire your guy. Because you just want to know before they come in and go, hey, I'm being. I'm going to leave for another job. So you can start getting in the process of finding someone in case they leave. But that. That's in this business, too. Like when I hired Scuba Steve, I called Ryan Seacrest because he was working for Ryan. Yeah, he was working for Ryan, a different position. And I called Ryan, I was like, hey, I am going to interview your guy. I met him once, but just. It's a bigger job than he had with Ryan. And so I think that's generally what the. That that rule is. But that's why Beamer was pissed was because he didn't get a call.
Eddie
Yeah, I like how he is on the podium. Just saying all of it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Anyway, go Ole Miss. Oh, get this. So fantasy's over and a big. The big money league that I plan. I had the best team all year and got a buy. I was the number one overall seed. Got a buy the first week, killed the guy the next week. And so I went to the championship and going into the last Night I was up like 34 points. I think going into the last game, he had one player. Can you guess who that player was?
Kevin
McCaffrey.
Bobby Bones
No, I had McCaffrey that night before because he played on Sundays. Bijan.
Kevin
Wait.
Eddie
Bijan.
Kevin
Oh, dude. Record night, first half.
Eddie
That's brutal.
Kevin
Yeah.
Eddie
That's for the championship.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Do you get money for second place?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Okay, good.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I got a few hundred bucks for second place and get a little something. But I was. I never am for sure of anything, but I thought I looked at all of B. John's games. His highest, he had a 29 point. A 29 point? He had, I think maybe a 30, but he needed like 34. Something to beat me. And he ended up getting 36.
Kevin
Yeah. Fantasy is very frustrating.
Bobby Bones
He broke a 70 yarder in the first half. 70 yard touchdown. He scored a touchdown off a pass and then broke. So that was frustrating. But it's fantasy, so I don't get super upset about it.
Kevin
I do. I was number one in both my leagues this year and I lost everything I got by in both rounds and then I ended up losing in the league that we're all in together, I got fourth place.
Eddie
You were the best team all year.
Kevin
Yeah. And then I played. Was it Signs?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kevin
Signs in for third. And Puka. Remember that catch that he almost had at the very end on the sideline that would have won me the game?
Bobby Bones
Oh, for third, though.
Kevin
Yeah, for third.
Bobby Bones
Who cares about.
Eddie
There's no.
Bobby Bones
Listen, I feel bad for you. To be the best team in two leagues and to lose. That sucks.
Kevin
Yeah. Frustrating.
Bobby Bones
I don't even feel that bad for me, though. Except for it was 30. It was like. It's the best game of all year.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And I ran into that and he was the one player left. I wasn't that frustrated at a good season. I think I lost two games the whole year, plus that final game, and it was. And that's a big money league. That's fine.
Eddie
It's so crazy. This new league, this league that we're in. The one with the. You know, the.
Bobby Bones
I call that little money league.
Eddie
Yeah, Ours. Yeah, us three. That's little money.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no, no, no, no, no. That's not fantasy.
Kevin
Yeah.
Eddie
What is that?
Bobby Bones
That's called a Skins League.
Eddie
Okay.
Kevin
Oh. Oh, God. You're talking about.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Made me not give a crap about fantasy. Like, not give up.
Bobby Bones
Because we're losing so much.
Kevin
That's fair.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kevin
Six. Six guys.
Bobby Bones
We're gonna lose like five, six thousand dollars.
Eddie
Nope.
Kevin
Oh, my God.
Bobby Bones
Don't say that. No, no. There's really not a way. We don't at this point, so.
Kevin
What point do you want?
Eddie
I might not.
Kevin
I had somebody, a couple people DM me on Instagram. They're like, hey, you guys need to call Eddie's wife and record it. I don't think we could do that.
Eddie
I've given her so much crap about Christmas spending. There's no way that she can know about this.
Kevin
That's your fault.
Eddie
There's no way she can know about this.
Bobby Bones
What are you gonna do?
Eddie
Nothing. Just gonna pay it.
Bobby Bones
But she doesn't know. I thought she ran the money.
Eddie
No, I have. I have an extra side account. Oh, no, but it's not like that. It's not like that.
Kevin
Okay. Every year, this extra side account, it's.
Eddie
Like my DraftKings fund fund, and I have enough money to cover there. Hopefully, if I have to dip into the regular fund. Dude, I'm in trouble. No, but it won't look so bad. I'll just be like, I'm just gonna take a couple hundred out that. Yeah, Bobby and Kevin. It's this thing we did. No big deal. We lost 200 bucks.
Bobby Bones
Whenever I. If I pay you money to do, like, a Bobby cast or something. Yeah, but that goes into your Venmo.
Eddie
That goes into my account.
Bobby Bones
Oh, it does?
Eddie
Yeah.
Kevin
Attaboy.
Eddie
So, dude, yes.
Bobby Bones
Got it all that she.
Eddie
It's unclaimed money, quote, unquote.
Bobby Bones
What if you found out she had an account of money that you didn't know about?
Eddie
Yeah, I'd be upset. Probably initially, I'd be upset, but then, once again, dude, we're human. Once you get the human story out of it. Like, look, I really didn't want to do this, but it's part of the podcast. It was good content. Now we owe $3,000.

Yeah, I'm getting you as a Patriots.
Kevin
Yeah, I'm getting a little bit like oversaturated or something with them. It's just too much everything or everywhere now.
Bobby Bones
Like the thing that, that we as Americans like about our icons is all the information about them isn't out all the time and they're not.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Hooking up with influencers.
Eddie
Yes.
Kevin
Yeah, you're talking about the Alex Earl.
Bobby Bones
That's just one part.
Kevin
One thing. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So yeah, New Year's Eve, he was Alex Earl and who knows what he was with. But her hands were all. Her hands were like rubb. His back and stuff where that's not just somebody you just met.
Kevin
Yeah, for sure. She was very comfortable with him.
Bobby Bones
Very comfortable.
Kevin
Yeah. Whether or not he was giving it back. Probably not in public. He definitely wasn't. But yeah, she was very comfortable.
Eddie
What are you guys upset about?
Bobby Bones
No, not upset. I just wonder is it tarnishing his icon status? Because when he was the best, it wasn't like he was all over social media. You didn't know. You didn't know much about him other than he won.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And that was pretty much all we knew was he played, he won, he was great. He's a champion. He's good looking. That's it. A little bit about his wife, Giselle, supermodel, stays private, doesn't put his kids on the Internet a lot. But now there's a couple things. One, he is associated with the Raiders, and they suck.
Kevin
Yeah.
Eddie
Owner.
Bobby Bones
And I think that hurts him a little bit. Now he can dig his way out, but. But it's like Michael Jordan with the Wizards. You started to go, well, maybe this guy isn't the knowing. So there's that. And it's unfair. He's only been there one year. But they are terrible. They have the number one pick. They're the worst team in the NFL. They'll have the number one pick next year. There's that. There's. Let's say, Alex Earl. There's Sofia Vergara. There's all these chicks he's been rumored to be with. Look, have at it.
Eddie
Yeah, he's single, right?
Bobby Bones
But the more. So we're not judging him for that, but the more we know about it, the more it seems like he's just a TMZ guy, and then he's on a boat with DiCaprio that he went on a yacht with DiCaprio and all those guys pictures. And again, have at it. But, yeah, it makes him seem like a TMZ guy more than an iconic NFL quarterback, because he could easily be.
Kevin
Like, he knows what he's doing. Obviously, everything he does is very calculated. Always has been and always will be. So I feel like everything he's doing now in the public is on purpose.
Eddie
So the boat is like, hey, I know I'm going to be. These pictures are gonna get out.
Bobby Bones
There's a yacht, and he's out there with DiCaprio. The pictures aren't close, but you probably think there's a chance that it's gonna be seen by someone.
Eddie
He's probably just like, screw it, man. Like, let people think whatever they want to think. I'm living my best life.
Bobby Bones
I'm sure he is, but it does affect how people feel about him. I mean, you're a massive Patriots fan. I just wondered if you thought he was a little more douchey now.
Kevin
Yeah, I do. Even when he went to the. Well, I mean, same with Belichick and his girl. Like, it's just not the same anymore in my eyes.
Bobby Bones
The more you know about somebod more douchey they are because we generally are just flawed humans.
Kevin
Right.
Bobby Bones
And we didn't know that much about Belichick or Brady, but that made us respect them because all we knew them for was winning.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kevin
And you let your imagination be like, you know what? They're great people, too. All they do is win. And they don't, like, get in the spotlight and they don't get in Trouble. They're great people. Great people. And then now you see more and more and you're like, they're just people.
Bobby Bones
They're just like us.
Kevin
Dang it.
Bobby Bones
He's just like me, except way richer and better looking influencers.
Eddie
Better at throwing a football.
Bobby Bones
DiCaprio.
Kevin
There's a couple, couple things.
Eddie
What about Gronk, is he ruining for you?
Kevin
No, Gronk's. Because he's always been like that. I feel like he's always been in the spotlight. Even when they lost super bowl back in the day, he was at a.
Bobby Bones
Party and he's always been known for being an idiot.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
If he was Gronk, the educated as he played, who was like this guy just studies his playbook, always knows what's up. And he wasn't even. Wasn't an idiot, but he's just more of a version of what we were already being fed of him. We're getting a different feeding of Tom Brady.
Kevin
Yeah, yeah. Completely different.
Bobby Bones
Again, it's TMZ guy. And we don't like our world class athletes to be TMZ guy. Which is why all of the athletes from 90s, 80s, 70s, they still remain godlike because there's not all this extra information out about them because they're old now or they're dead and we would only see them when they were doing the thing they were great at, not when they were doing the things that probably make them look different.
Kevin
And that's why I wonder with this social media age in the last 10 plus years now that only we're going to know is these athletes and their private life or, or whatever they choose to put on there, you know, like there won't be that Tom Brady before social media where he's a great player.
Bobby Bones
But I would say Tom Brady lived in that time where he didn't share. Even though.
Kevin
Yeah, I always wonder if that was a Patriot thing too.
Bobby Bones
I don't know.
Kevin
As soon as he left there, he went to the Bucks, became like this outgoing, would talk during press conferences and then he retired and then became part of the media and all that. And he's built since then, but I always just wonder, is that a Patriot thing? But at the same time, Belichick, check. He's embraced it. But that's because of a 23 year old girlfriend.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's weird. I saw another thing about them on tmz. It's her. It was her talking about haters.
Kevin
Talking about their haters.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kevin
Oh yeah. Oh boy. I didn't see that.
Bobby Bones
I don't Know haters. Her and Belichick.
Kevin
Oh, man.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Cowboys. They're done now.
Eddie
Done. I didn't watch the game.
Bobby Bones
They lost.
Kevin
Cool, Cool.
Eddie
Great.
Bobby Bones
Better draft Giants.
Eddie
Better draft it.
Bobby Bones
I mean, are you happy it's over?
Eddie
Yeah, yeah. The torture's over. We get to kind of just watch football now for fun. The playoffs are going to be exciting. Just to watch the playoffs. Yeah, that's fine, dude. It's fine. Diggs went to the Packers. I feel like the packers are taking all the Cowboys, but whatever. We didn't want him anyway. We dropped him.
Bobby Bones
You cut him.
Eddie
You cut him. So packers picked him up.
Bobby Bones
I released him, I guess.
Kevin
Yeah. Was that been just sour for a year or two now? Like two years?
Eddie
Not even two years, no. I mean, he played a few games this year. It's just like. Then he got hurt and then it's like, is he coming back? And there's. He would come out and say, I'm ready to play, but they're not playing me for some reason. Then he played and he was terrible. And then they sat him again. Then they cut him. Who knows? But yeah, dude, it was whatever. Let's get this year's over. Move on. It's like I think Kevin said on the. On the text thread, like, football couldn't end any sooner.
Kevin
Oh, yeah, I'm done with it.
Bobby Bones
We just have a big bill to pay.
Eddie
Yeah, I know, dude.
Bobby Bones
That's only going to get bigger from our stupid league.
Eddie
This year was a bad year for football.
Bobby Bones
Well, two of our first. First and second place teams that we drafted in our league both had injured.
Eddie
Quarterbacks and Bill Chiefs and Bengals.
Kevin
Yeah, I was watching a.
Bobby Bones
The freaking Bengals lost to again this week with. With their quarterback.
Eddie
I know, with their quarterback.
Kevin
But.
Eddie
But Miles Garrett got his record.
Bobby Bones
Who cares for a sack.
Eddie
Good for him.
Bobby Bones
Who cares?
Eddie
Yeah, being sarcastic. I know. It was stupid.
Kevin
Did you see who's the. The bangle? Zach Taylor. He was a little upset that they stopped the game to celebrate.
Bobby Bones
It was so brief though, when they stopped the game. I was watching the game and I watched one because Burrow kind of fell. It really wasn't a big sack, bro. Just kind of slid down.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And I also thought he wasn't going to get it because it was fourth quarter. I think by the time that sack happened and the Bengals were needing a score to win the game. And so they were constantly running away from Miles Garrett. I didn't think it would happen. And then it was just like Burrow felon. Miles Garrett tapped him and then Miles Garrett did the pray hands? All the team jumped on him for a second, but they got back at it pretty quick.
Kevin
Yeah, I thought it really wasn't that long at all.
Bobby Bones
I didn't think so.
Kevin
It wasn't like an NBA thing where they literally stop the whole thing. Cameras come out.
Eddie
What was the college game that never ended?
Sponsor Voice 3
The.
Eddie
Is it Ohio State?
Kevin
I saw the Not.
Bobby Bones
I saw the Notre Dame basketball coach charge the ref. But that's cool. I saw that live.
Kevin
That was funny.
Bobby Bones
That was cool.
Kevin
Ole Miss Georgia at the very end.
Eddie
Ole Miss Georgia never ended. Cuz they kept saying there was a time left on the clock and after everyone. Dude, they brought out the stage and everything. They're like, they're going to have to remove the stage.
Bobby Bones
See this?
Eddie
They did it two times.
Kevin
Yeah.
Eddie
Where like, okay. Then they pulled the stage back out. They looked at, reviewed it.
Kevin
It.
Eddie
They did. They said, okay, game's over. They brought it out. No, no, game's not over. They moved the stage back out.
Brandon Ray
This coach was so pissed off.
Eddie
Yeah, they were like, just, just, just let it run. It's over. Game's over. Let it run It. Ole Miss. Yeah.
Brandon Ray
The interim.
Kevin
Whoever.
Bobby Bones
There's an.
Sponsor Voice 3
Oh, football.
Kevin
Football.
Eddie
It was football.
Bobby Bones
I thought you talking about basketball.
Eddie
No, it. Football. It was football.
Kevin
Yeah. It's at the very end when they got the onside kick and there was like one second left.
Bobby Bones
I turned it off cuz the game was over.
Eddie
Yes, dude, it was hilarious.
Kevin
You made the right decision because is.
Eddie
It over or is it not over?
Bobby Bones
I thought you guys met basketball and.
Kevin
It'S like 10:30 at night. I'm like, like it was an onside.
Eddie
Kick and Ole Miss. No, it was Georgia. Georgia was trying to get it back and Ole Miss was not touching the ball. So Georgia touched it. And if that's the case, like no.
Kevin
Time comes off the clock.
Eddie
No time comes off the clock. So they touch it, game's over. No, it's not.
Bobby Bones
You know when I changed it, it was when they threw the backward pass that went out of bounds. They called it a safety.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
And then I looked at the score and I saw the replays after that, but I was like, who cares? It doesn't matter. That all happened after that because they.
Kevin
Had to kick it after the safety.
Eddie
It ended up being an onside ice on the field. They're like, gotta get the ice off the field. Like from the Gatorade.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I changed it cuz I was pissed. I lost so much money.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Stupid. But that Notre Dame, that was, that was Crazy. He was about to kill the ref.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Four point play.
Kevin
Yeah, that foul was pretty bad.
Eddie
It was a terrible.
Bobby Bones
It was bad.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's bad. They didn't suspend the coach, so I thought they should have suspended the coach.
Kevin
Oh, they didn't?
Bobby Bones
I don't think so.
Eddie
They didn't do anything. They stopped and.
Bobby Bones
Dude, it doesn't matter. You can't.
Eddie
Not even. Like, nothing happened.
Kevin
Dude, he was.
Eddie
He was gonna kill him, but thankfully nothing happened.
Bobby Bones
He was a. A thick fella.
Eddie
Yeah, he was.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Yeah. That belly was coming out of the shirt. It was crazy, dude.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he was pit. Well, like, what I wondered when I. Because I didn't watch that live.
Eddie
I watched it live.
Bobby Bones
You did?
Sponsor Voice 3
Yeah.
Kevin
Oh, wow. Really?
Bobby Bones
What I wondered when watching it was what would have happened if they would have just let him go?
Eddie
He would have killed the ref.
Bobby Bones
He wouldn't have literally killed him.
Eddie
The ref was so funny, too. He's like, oh, oh, you're talking to me. And then just kept on walking it, like, just nonchalant.
Kevin
Probably pissed him off even more. Yeah, probably just like, oh, no big deal.
Eddie
And then that, like, all his assistants grabbed him, like, hey, come on, Coach, come. Whatever. You still have to say, like, good, good game. You have to do the good game line.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I have a friend that's a SEC ref. I think he's the head of the SEC refs. And so I went to. He was reffing an Arkansas game, which he hates doing because he's from Arkansas. And my theory is he's even harder on Arkansas because he knows people know he's from Arkansas. Yeah. So he has to be even harder on them so people don't think he's giving them the benefit of the doubt at all.
Sponsor Voice 1
All.
Bobby Bones
And so when the game was over, as soon as the game's over, you've seen them all get out. They get out immediately. And they go to a dressing room that's nowhere near any other dressing room. It's like a closet. They get dressed so quick, and they shoot out through another side entrance. And they. And I went up with them and they go out in an elevator that's the back of the building, and they're out the back doors.
Eddie
Do they have security with them or anything, or is it just them?
Bobby Bones
There was no security with us, and I was walking out with them, but it was very. It was very hastily maneuvered.
Eddie
Yeah. Like, they know.
Bobby Bones
They immediately went out, went to this room that didn't look like a dressing room, by the way. It was just like A conference type room. They switched their clothes quick. You were in there the whole time, huh?
Eddie
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
They switched their clothes quick. They weren't like.
Kevin
Do they talk to each other?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, no, they're talking. They're not like running. They're not scared. There wasn't even a controversial game. The Notre Dame coach wasn't trying to beat them up or anything. And. But because of that, they change the clothes and they go up. They went up the elevator and hopped out like an entrance. That's not a real entrance. And their cars are right there and they boom. And they get out.
Eddie
That's cool.
Bobby Bones
It's just so nobody. It's just their general mode of operation. So nobody kind of likes with them.
Eddie
The chain gang? Same. We get special parking and all that.
Kevin
The rest like a locker room, too?
Eddie
No, no, we park right by the gate.
Kevin
Do you miss the season?
Eddie
Yes, I do.
Bobby Bones
The Chiefs are now losing to the Raiders nine to six.
Eddie
Oh, my God. That's just to make it.
Kevin
Patriots are up 31. 10. 1.
Eddie
Good.
Bobby Bones
That game is good.
Eddie
But how much time left in the Chiefs?
Bobby Bones
Thirteen minutes in the fourth.
Eddie
Okay, that's good.
Kevin
Six to nine.
Eddie
There's a chance.
Bobby Bones
It's good. They've scored. They've. They have six points.
Eddie
Who's their quarterback? I don't even know who that is.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah. Ola aiken. And Aiden Oconnell is the Raiders quarterback. Oh, wow. Right now, Aiden Oconnell has 65 yards passing in the fourth, and Oloken. Whatever his name is has 58 yards passing.
Eddie
Wow. Good for you guys.
Bobby Bones
The lead receiver is for the Chiefs is Noah Gray with 30 yards.
Eddie
Okay.
Kevin
Wow. Is Kelsey even playing? Probably not, right?
Bobby Bones
They're going to lose. We're going to lose that money, too, man.
Kevin
I saw a replay of a game the other day, and it was a Chiefs last year against I don't know who, and they were like 15 and 1.
Bobby Bones
I'm like, oh, they were winning all those close games last year.
Eddie
That's what we thought was going to happen this year.
Bobby Bones
Miles Garrett sets the sack record in season. And Cam Little kicked the second longest field goal ever.
Eddie
68.
Bobby Bones
60. No, 68 was the longest. Okay, 67 was today, I believe.
Kevin
Yeah. Oh, wow. And they did the dance after. You see his dance.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Here's the thing. We have to stop with these balls because every kick now is long.
Eddie
The shaving them.
Bobby Bones
And, well, they get them at the beginning of the year, rub them down so they get to beat them up. Yeah, they're the kicker. Balls yeah, it used to be where you would get them week of the game. There's only so much you can do to those balls now. You get them at the beginning of the year. Year. So yeah, you can put them in.
Eddie
The microwave, wrap them up in foil for a little bit.
Bobby Bones
The kicks are so long and it's that the combination of that the kicks are now longer because the balls are made for easier, better kicks. Yeah, it's that. And combine it with the ball is placed further up the field. Now because of the new kickoff rule. Correct that.
Eddie
You're right. It's a 20 yard dude.
Bobby Bones
It's like 30 yard plays. Yep. When we saw the Browns and the Bengals. And the Browns be the Bengals, you just know the ball is going to be started 30, 35, two passes. You got a good kicker, right?
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Cam Little. You don't even need to get to the 50.
Eddie
Is rubbing those balls down like that much of a difference? Is that really, like, that's crazy how they figured that out. If that guy with half a foot who played for the Saints, if he would have known that, gotten 80 yards.
Bobby Bones
But they didn't have time to do that because they got the balls the beginning of the game week. They did do that. They tried in the 60s. Well, at least before this year.
Eddie
When was that guy. That guy, he's 60s.
Kevin
Right back in the. They probably got the ball like right before the game.
Eddie
They only had one game. One ball for the game.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah. I think they use the same ball for every player. That kick was what, 65?
Eddie
Oh, I don't remember. I feel like that was 61, dude. Like, I think like 61 was like, wow, that was the record for a long time.
Bobby Bones
Tom Dempsey, that's him, set the record, a 63 yard field goal in 1970.
Eddie
And you imagine all the kickers then being like, that's not fair. The dude has half a foot.
Bobby Bones
He was born without toes on his kicking foot and used a custom shoe.
Eddie
You ever see it? His laces were on the heel.
Bobby Bones
It's like if you saw a sprinter with robotic legs.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You're like, that ain't fair. I wonder if they felt that way about Dimpson.
Eddie
Kevin. He would lace him like behind. The laces were like back in the back of the shoe.
Bobby Bones
His legendary kick beat the Detroit Lions, setting a record this year for 43 years and highlighted his incredible feat of playing in the NFL with a physical disability.
Kevin
Oh, he's a big boy too, too dude.
Eddie
He used to kick how you kick.
Bobby Bones
I know Charlie Brown Charlie Brown straight. He was born without toes on his right foot and born without fingers on his right hand.
Eddie
Oh, I didn't know that.
Kevin
That's what I see right here in this picture.
Eddie
Yeah. So. Okay. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But you feel bad now. Yeah.
Eddie
That's tough, man, the hand.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Brandon Ray
Eddie knows what that's about.
Eddie
I know, I know this trouble.
Bobby Bones
Maybe that's why you felt that way.
Eddie
That rehab was stuff.
Bobby Bones
Jim Abbott.
Eddie
Yes. He would kind of just like hold the glove, right? Like just it would lean, put it.
Bobby Bones
Like on his shoulder and the, the bend of his arm and he would throw and his hand would go right into it. Yeah, he was born without a right hand.
Eddie
That's amazing.
Bobby Bones
Hit a 10 year major league baseball career. He pitched a no hitter for the Yankees in 1993. And he would throw. Do you remember Jim Abbott at all?
Kevin
No. I mean I know who he is and I've seen the pictures obviously, but.
Eddie
Amazing.
Kevin
I. I don't know if I like, I don't remember watching him at all.
Bobby Bones
I do.
Eddie
Yeah, same.
Bobby Bones
And he, it wasn't a big deal because he just existed. I mean, he was just awesome or good.
Eddie
Just the fact that you couldn't see him put his hand in the glove, like you could see it. Well, it was just like one motion. It was like, whoa.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
And then it was ready.
Bobby Bones
That's right.
Eddie
It's ready to go.
Kevin
Yeah. That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
And if they hit it back to him, he catch it and then he would take that. What he would do is he would then put his glove like in his arm, pull out his hand, take the ball out of the glove and throw it.
Eddie
That's too much.
Kevin
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
He did all the time on Comebackers. Wasn't a big deal at all. It was just natural. He'd catch it, boom, Put his glove, pull it off with the other arm, take the ball out of it and throw it.
Eddie
God, that's amazing.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it was awesome.
Eddie
I saw a coach at one of my kids basketball games. He was, he was missing two legs and one arm.
Bobby Bones
Missing like he couldn't find him.
Eddie
He didn't have it.
Bobby Bones
Oh, he was maybe born without him.
Eddie
Either that or lost him, whatever, don't know. But he only had one arm and he was in a wheelchair coaching, coaching and moving, you know, with, with the one hand, like moving the wheel back and forth. And like, I just thought like, that's amazing that like, if I lost all that, I'd be like, I'm done.
Bobby Bones
I made the mistake of telling my wife when she was Starting to get pregnant. I was like, man, if I was pregnant like that, I'd never leave the house.
Eddie
Oh, you're pregnant like that?
Kevin
Dang, dude.
Eddie
What did she say?
Bobby Bones
She was like. Like she was starting to get bigger. She was like, this is weird.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And I was like, you're handling that. Awesome. Because if I was pregnant like that, I would never leave the house.
Eddie
Oh, dude, that's like she just turn.
Kevin
Around and walk away.
Eddie
Why did you even think about saying that? You didn't think?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, there was no thinking involved. Yeah. Very little thinking. It gets brought up a lot now, I bet. I didn't mean it like that. What I meant was, I'm so insecure that I would be like, oh. And I was trying to say it as a compliment, like, look how brave you are.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right, Right. Come on, man.
Kevin
Such a strong woman.
Bobby Bones
I don't have the strength to go out like that.
Eddie
I wouldn't do that.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I think that's it. Anything else you guys have. I do want to say something to Kevin.
Kevin
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You can't take credit for whenever you claimed your favorite team's players the mvp, even if he wins it. If you are fighting for somebody that's not your favorite team. Okay, but you were like, drake May should be the mvp. But you're only saying that the whole time because it's your favorite team.
Kevin
No, but I said he's. You're talking about the Josh Allen clip or.
Bobby Bones
I'm talking about, period, this whole year where you're like, drake May should be the mvp.
Eddie
Mvp. You would say that.
Bobby Bones
You would say that.
Eddie
Yeah, and he might, because he's the mvp.
Bobby Bones
But you were only saying that because you were a fan now, and now it makes more sense. But you can't go back like you were some great prognosticator.
Kevin
I said, he's the second coming of Josh Allen.
Eddie
You did say that.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but you wouldn't have said that had the Patriots not been your favorite team. That was a big part of why you were saying it.
Kevin
I don't know if. If it was a team that I hated. Definitely not.
Eddie
You wouldn't say that.
Kevin
I wouldn't say that. But if a team that I really care about, then you wouldn't even care.
Bobby Bones
To talk about the MVP is my point. Because it's your guy. You were just constantly.
Kevin
Yeah, I mean, there's Turned out to be.
Bobby Bones
Right. Yeah. Which. And he may not win it. He may win it.
Kevin
Yeah, he may.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kevin
Yeah. I think. I think he probably. I think he's probably going to win it, which I didn't expect even just a couple weeks ago, but staffers falling off here.
Bobby Bones
But yeah, that. That.
Kevin
That Falcons game was bad. Yeah, I mean, I can see where you're coming from, but at the same.
Bobby Bones
Time, I'm like, no, I'm coming from the exact right spot.
Eddie
Would you say it?
Bobby Bones
What?
Eddie
Would you say it if it was not your team?
Bobby Bones
No, he wouldn't have been saying it the whole.
Eddie
Wouldn't have said.
Kevin
Not the whole time, but the last month or so.
Eddie
You would say it.
Kevin
Yeah, I would. I would say it.
Eddie
Yeah.
Kevin
But like I said, if it was a team that I didn't like, say if it was Brock Purdy.
Bobby Bones
Because I'm just not believing anything you're saying at this point because you were just saying it because he's your guy. Yeah, but that would be like three months ago for a Cub or a Razorback to win the coach of the year.
Kevin
But it's also because, like, obviously I watch them every week, right? It's like if you don't watch somebody every week, you have no idea how good they really are. So I feel like I was watching them every week and watching how good he was playing, and I'm like, dang, People still don't realize how great he's playing right now.
Bobby Bones
I don't know.
Kevin
And here we are at the end of the year. Mvp. I don't know.
Eddie
So you were right. Technically, though, I guess if he does.
