Oh, I worked with her on the cruise.

I know, she told us. Yeah, so I didn't know her for her music. I knew her for these insanely viral videos where she pulls the trash can down. And I'm talking about not just viral. Every single one of them doesn't get a hundred thousand views. It gets 60, 70, 80, 90,000 likes. They are so freaking popular. I only saw her from that. And then as I went through her page, I saw she also played music. So I said to Mike, hey, let's see if she wants to come up. She seems super funny. And so we get up on Friday to do this episode, and she's in the, like, the waiting room of the studio that we have. So whatever. She comes over. I'm like, hey, what part of town do you live in? She goes, I live in Arizona. I was like, wait, what? She goes, yeah, I live in Arizona. I said, no, you just flew here. We just asked you, like, a week ago. She. I booked a flight and came immediately. And so she came. Then Eddie keeps going, I know her from somewhere.

[Eddie]

The name sounded so familiar.

[Bobby Bones]

I don't know. The Trash videos, they're massive.

[Amy]

Every Tuesday, she takes the trash out,

[Bobby Bones]

and he's like, I don't know. And so she goes, you know, I was on the cruise with you guys. I said, what? She goes, yeah, Amy interviewed me.

Well, to be fair, there was a lot of things going on on the cruise at any.

[Bobby Bones]

I mean, I never met her. I was there for a couple days and left.

[Amy]

We were in a totally different.

[Bobby Bones]

She even said she came to the Raging Idiots show.

[Eddie]

She did.

[Amy]

Well, but that's a packed theater.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, but the whole thing was wild. That one, she just got on a flight and flew here because she was like, I'm not going to miss this opportunity. And then two, that she was on our cruise last year, and she played shows for seven days, met you, and, like, all that happened. But I knew her from how viral her Trash video was. Not even her music. And her music is actually good. All that happened, and it's been really cool to see because people love her. And so I posted some videos with her on my Instagram, just being like, hey, it's crazy. Like, I don't know. I feel like I'm missing out on something here. It's one of those rare times where I'm going, man, I had no idea. So mine is that that was a really cool, you know, couple hours that she was over and learned her story.

And so I'm curious about the videos, which, if y' all address it, I can go listen. But.

Yeah, cool. Obviously a lot of it's pre meditated because. Yeah, she'll have screenshots of them or she'll be like, well, I went to your page to check stuff out and you know, if they're insulting her, whatever, and they're like, oh, funny thing, like you're in your bio. It's I love Jesus. Oh, well, what would Jesus say?

Let's look at these other things that you've done that Jesus may not like.

[Amy]

Right.

[Bobby Bones]

One was someone insulting her because her eyes were spread too far apart and she was, she was. And she was like, look at your body.

[Amy]

She's like, I didn't know you were an expert in chromosomes. Because they said she looked like a man.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah. Anyway, it was good and fun and refreshing and bad. And I had no idea. And just to hear her talk about that her shows are starting to sell out now because she's touring and it's not like she's playing huge arenas or anything, but she's playing shows and that they're starting to sell out and her merch is selling. And all because of those trash videos.

[Amy]

That's cool. Yeah, well, just something that resonates and clicks, that gets people to see her other talent.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, that's what I said. And afterward I said, hey, you're gonna start to be resentful. These trash videos. I said it on camera too. I said, you're gonna be resentful. These trash videos. Don't be. Because even if 93% of people don't know your music, 7% of people are finding your music through these trash videos. Because you're gonna start to get so popular from these videos that you're gonna go, this is not really what I'm doing. It's not what my whole life's about. And now people know me for this. I don't really want to be known for this. This is fun, but I don't want to be known for this. That happens. And I just do not let that happen. Like, fight that voice inside of you that goes, I should stop doing trash videos because my main art is music. Please say this is not just about this because I just never feel like it's worth that for somebody to do. But she was like, I promise you. So. Yeah, that's an insecurity of mine that comes raging out.

So a couple of weeks ago, I started to increase my protein and started lifting. I told you I ordered those dumbbells that you can adjustable. Yeah. So you can go from a five pound to fifty pounds, which. These things are so cool. And now the more that I use them because in between each exercise I kind of got to go over and adjust my dumbbell. But I've been tracking my. The weight that I'm using and of course, when you're first starting out and you haven't done that kind of lifting in a while. I don't know what my 50% of my heaviest is or my, you know, I'm Just trying to figure it out. But I think I finally have it figured out in this week. I can see, like, the first. Like, I've made progress and I'm moving up, so I'm proud of myself. Like my chest. Chest press. Like this.

Like a bench press type thing.

[Amy]

Yeah. I went up a lot so I could tell, like, when I first started out, I was being a little timid. I didn't want to get, like, stuck because I'm just at my house by myself, and I don't want to get stuck.

[Eddie]

But.

But there.

[Amy]

It's not a bar. I know. It's dumbbells.

[Bobby Bones]

So you could. Yeah. Just so you know, you can. No, you don't have to jump over like you just did. You can just let them go. Oh, behind your head. Don't do like Amy did a dump over to the side.

Well, I was.

They're individual barbells, not a bar.

Let them go separately. You will kill yourself doing the way you just did it.

Well, a struggle I am having, though, is because I. Yesterday was, like, the heaviest I had done with that to get down on the ground. Because I don't have a bench yet. I think I need to invest in a bench. I was just doing on the floor, but I'm on the floor, and I've got them on the floor and then. But I need to, like, get them and then lay down, and so I get them.

Can I give you a tip?

[Amy]

Sure, I'll take it.

[Bobby Bones]

Put them on your knees. You're on the ground. Put them on your knees. Lift your knees and put them here. Because you'll hurt your shoulders or your wrists. Like doing what you're doing. Yeah, because it's a weird body position to try to lift your weights up from just on the ground with your

arms very like how you're looking. That's what. And that's what's made me a little nervous. The last time I lifted any kind of heavy weights or anything, I was working with the trainer, and this was before COVID So I do feel like I'm having to. I don't want to hurt myself, and I'm having to learn, so I'll take any.

[Bobby Bones]

A bench would be good. There's something called floor presto that even I do. So what you're doing is actually a lift. But when you. When you lay down, like, pull your knee, put your knees down, put on your legs, and then lift your knees and put them here.

[Amy]

Gotcha.

And then you won't hurt your shoulders by trying to.

Casino all right, well, my next investment, my first investment was the dumbbells. And now that I'm actually using them and I'm seeing growth, I'm like, good for you. I'm going to keep doing it. So I guess my next treat will be like, are these.

I had to call it a treat, not a treat. The treat is after you're done though and you feel good about it?

Yeah, well, I, well for me, I like seeing the, the growth and the progress. And then now I'm like, maybe one day I will be able to make it to the 25 push ups.

For sure you will. You're already so close.

And that was before I was even.

You're gonna nail it. But you can eat. You're gonna need to do push ups by themselves. Not just that specific weight or, or, or movement.

Uh huh. And with the weights. Yeah. Speaking of protein, Eddie, I have been, I've been trying to log at least that. Not really much of anything else, but just tracking my protein intake and I've been pretty diligent at meeting my goal every single day. Which is more difficult than you.

Yeah, it starts to feel uncomfortable to

where you're just like, really? But I hear it will make such a difference.

[Eddie]

What's the goal? You bodybuilding? Like what's the, what are we trying to do?

[Amy]

No, at 80, when I fall over, I don't want to go be stuck in a nursing home or hospital.

[Eddie]

Like, I think it's a good goal.

Yeah, that is a good goal.

This is for longevity. Like, I'm not, I, I really don't. It's not a vanity thing, it's not a, it's just, I mean, sure, if there's benefits that come with it that are like that, okay, great. But I just want to be strong and take care of myself because I've been doing pilates, which this weekend I hit 100 classes, which was really cool, but that's just not cutting it enough. Like I need to start lifting. More significant, we were gonna go do

hot yoga last week and my wife got such crazy food poisoning.

Oh, is that what happened with that? I mean, I knew she was sick, but I was wondering what was going on with the yoga.

That was it. That's when I had to leave. I was like, gotta go guys. Because she had the baby and was just like, I can't, I can't even sit up.

And so, and I was like, thank God I'm not doing that today.

Okay. So for me, football season has officially started Saturday. My 11 year old is now playing tackle football and they had their first, what do they call it, a jamboree or something? You know what a jamboree is, which

teams go and play each other like for quarters a quarter at a time?

[Eddie]

Yes, it's like a scrimmage, I guess. They all play offensive snaps. Like 20 in a row, and then they switch sides and they do 20 in a row.

It's just so much fun. The weather was great. It was early in the morning. All the parents were excited, wearing their school clothes, you know, like with a team. And then there may. There'd be a good tackle in the

whole stadium would be like, yeah.

And these are 11 year olds. And I just. I don't know, man. I get so excited because football, like Cowboys and all that, is just right around the corner, and this is just the start of it.

I don't think that he's going to last. Like, he's excited to play football, and I think every kid is like, all right, tackle football. My friends are doing it. Let's see how it goes. When the. Everything was over and we were in the car, I asked him, like, how did it go? He's like, that was a lot harder than I thought. I can't run as fast as I thought I could run. It's hard to catch the ball in pads. I can't see through the face mask. I don't know how this is going to go. So I don't know if he's going to last. We'll see.

[Bobby Bones]

Are you going to make him last though the season? Okay, got it.

[Eddie]

Yeah. Yeah. He'll play the rest of the year, but I just don't know if he's going to love football that much to play next year.

[Bobby Bones]

Lunchbox.

[Lunchbox]

Yeah. We had to tear down a tree in our backyard because it was old and falling down, you know, ice storm. And so my kids wanted to do a garden. So we put some bricks up, and I was like, this is never gonna last. We planted some cucumbers, bell peppers, and I was like, we're never gonna do anything. Well, this weekend we actually got cucumbers. We went out there and there were huge cucumbers in the garden. Now we do nothing to maintain it. We've just had a lot of rain. So we got lucky, and they are so excited. So we picked cucumbers and out of our own Garden. I've never done that in my life.

[Eddie]

Did you eat them?

[Lunchbox]

No, not yet. They're just in the fridge.

[Amy]

That's cool though.

[Bobby Bones]

They're big.

[Lunchbox]

Oh, they're huge. I mean, I'm talking this big, like boom.

[Amy]

That's huge.

[Bobby Bones]

[Lunchbox]

[Eddie]

A 10 year old girl in Virginia hero rescued a 3 year old from a campground pool. Vivian Taylor spotted the toddler in the water, wasn't moving, jumped in, grabs her, pulls her out. They get her, get her to the hospital real quick. She's now fully recovered, been released, but she saw it and just jumped into action. She wasn't trained to do that. But we do have a lifeguard here as part of our show. Coming to you special thoughts?

[Eddie]

No, I think that's great. Did I ever tell you guys about the. When I was like 2 and my cousin found me in the pool?

[Bobby Bones]

So you're no longer the lifeguard in the story, you're the one that saved in this story.

[Eddie]

I was the victim. Yeah. I was like face down in the pool and my cousin saw me. He jumped in the water, saved me and then he said I was laughing, like, giggling, like having the time of my life.

[Bobby Bones]

Was there any chance that you just got in the water?

[Eddie]

I might have just gotten in there, but they had no idea. Like they just saw me, head face down, floating in the water.

[Bobby Bones]

Pretty fortunate then.

[Eddie]

Yeah, but as a lifeguard, I mean, that is this person right here, this girl. Yeah, yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

10 year old Vivian Taylor.

[Eddie]

10 year old Vivian Taylor, she has a future in lifeguarding.

[Bobby Bones]

You think so?

[Eddie]

She already has the God given instinct.

[Bobby Bones]

And you've lived it and now you're looking out for the next generation.

I mean, I kind of just, I Notice it when I hear it.

What about your kids? Do they, like, genetically, do they. Do they pulled to be in lifeguards?

[Eddie]

Yeah. One of them already has expressed interest in being a lifeguard.

[Bobby Bones]

You think that's just natural ingrained?

[Eddie]

I think it just kind of fell down the. Yeah, yeah. The gene pool.

[Bobby Bones]

A West Georgia couple was on a road trip on Interstate 20 when boom. Tire blew out. They had to pull over to the side of the road, get the spare out, and they get their jack. Jack's not working. Something's wrong with it. Won't lift the car high enough. Well, luckily, all these cars are whizzing by. They're like, man, we're stranded. Here comes the angel. Rodney pulls up in his truck.

[Bobby Bones]

Rodney the angel. Never heard an angel named Rodney.

[Lunchbox]

And he says, you guys need some help? He pulls out the tools from his truck, jacks up the car, changes the tire, and they said, here, let us give you some money. And Rodney said, nope. In my spare time, I drive around these roads looking for people stranded so I can help them out. That's my calling.

[Bobby Bones]

And then they turned around, and he was nowhere to be seen.

[Eddie]

He's gone.

[Bobby Bones]

His car was gone. He was gone. And they were like. Was anyone even here?

[Eddie]

Rodney the Road Angel.

[Bobby Bones]

Oh, yeah. Alliteration.

[Eddie]

It works.

Otherwise, not. Not really the angel name I'd choose if I were an angel. Good for old Rodney. You know what? Rodney is the name of, like, a good guy, though.

[Eddie]

Oh, yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

Like, that's. That's. That's the name of a good Gary. It's a good guy name.

[Eddie]

I don't know. A bad Rodney.

[Amy]

Like, how many. Rodney. Rodney Atkins.
