Abby
I turned off news altogether. I hate to say it, but I don't trust much of anything.
Hari Kondabolu
It's the rage bait.
Abby
It feels like it's trying to divide people.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
If we got clear facts, maybe we.
Abby
Could calm down a little.
Paper Ghosts Podcast Narrator
NBC News brings you clear reporting.
Richard Parks III
Let's meet at the Facts. Let's move forward from there.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
NBC News reporting for America on the podcast Health Stuff.
Hari Kondabolu
We are tackling all the health questions that keep you up at night.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
I'm Dr. Priyanka Wali, a double board certified physician.
Hari Kondabolu
And I'm Hari Kundabolu, a comedian and someone who once googled do I have scurvy at 3am and on our show we're talking about health in a different way. Like our episode where we look at.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
Diabetes in the United states. I mean 50% of Americans are pre diabetic.
Hari Kondabolu
How preventable is type 2?
Dr. Priyanka Wali
Extremely. Listen to Health Stuff on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Morgan
Defeat the champ, you gotta knock em out. The Dodgers stand tall and win back to back titles.

Best bits of the week with Morgan.
Annabe Sofa Advertiser
It's listener Q and a time where.
Morgan
Morgan and a show member answer almost all your questions.
Abby
Listener Q and a time. But we're gonna start with some shout outs. I love your singing. Her name is Stick. Steph from Wooddale, Illinois.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Thanks, Steph.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
Yeah.
Abby
Tamara from Illinois. Just wanted to say how lovely you two are, and I appreciate you.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, that was really sweet, Tamara.
Abby
We appreciate you.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes.
Abby
It feels like it just got to, like a really nice, soft voice, Delilah.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes, it does. Thank you. Oh, my gosh. How did we get so zen just now? We did.
Abby
Listen t Wichita girls. We all find a zen moment every now and again.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
We do.
Abby
Can she tell us more about her role on the show and behind the scenes? This is from Ashley.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, this is a question. Oh, my gosh. There's so many things I feel like. Okay, so my day is basically split up into two parts. Okay. So, you know, in the morning, it's. It's the live show. So I'm answering phones. I send out a rundown that kind of summarizes what we talked about on the show, different points, like, tell me something goods and all that. That goes to every station I help find. Tell me something goods. There's another side deal that Amy and Bobby record. It's called the country minute. It's like a minute of country, you know, news stories. I help turn in news stories. And TikTok, if there's anything, like, interesting videos or whatever, I'll send that in. If we have artist prep, if we have an artist in, I'll put, like, a sheet together that has, like, all, like, fun facts and their tour dates and album info with, like, songwriters on it. What else do I do? I don't even know what else I do.
Abby
You do.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
It all kind of runs together.
Abby
You send the prizes out to listeners.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
You help.
Abby
Don't you organize with the voicemails?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes, voicemails. Yes, I do that, which we get a lot of.
Abby
Those facilitate just a lot of calls in general. Not just, like, the live calls with the voicemails. You're also. You're just facilitating a lot of those that come into during the main live show.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes. Like, just kind of anything. Since everybody else is in the studio talking during the show, if they need an audio clip or something like, loaded. I'll get it ready, and I'll send it to Kevin and Pitts, who are in the other room, to help do that. So I'm kind of just like a. Whatever needs to be done in this moment, can Abby do it?
Abby
You run errands? Sometimes I have to go get hot dogs. When you don't need to.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, my favorite part. Oh, we're gonna bring that up. Oh, Trigger. I'm triggered.
Abby
It's supposed to be a joke.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
It's supposed to be a joke. No, too soon. Yeah, that's still too soon.
Abby
Sorry. Okay, my bad.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Wait.
Abby
Sometimes you'll run errands.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah. Yes. Yeah, I do run errands.
Abby
Besides the hot dogs, you'll run other errands.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yep. Make sure stuff is in the prize closet. Yeah. Send out the prizes. The crap in the. From the back that they win. But yeah, I said it's split up in two days because, like, in the morning or two times of the day, in the morning, I do all the live show stuff, and then the night before, I get everything else prepped for the next day, if that makes sense. Kind of like the news stories and stuff we talk about.
Abby
And you also help with the natural podcast network.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes. Also, look at you knowing my schedule more than me. I think that's why my brain is all over the place, because I have a whole list on my computer, I have it by my keyboard of everything I need to do every day. So I think that's kind of.
Abby
I just kind of run down the list.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
And if you're.
Abby
She mentions her brain in part one, we talk a little bit about our brains.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
So, yeah, I'm always a lot in there at all times. Yeah, I help with the podcast network, and I help prep some Bobby Cast stuff and do special episodes for the Bobbycast, which is cool. And then Caroline hobbies podcast, I help produce that.
Abby
So, yeah, a lot of stuff over there.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I know. It's a lot. It's fun.
Abby
You're a hard worker and you're good at what you do.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Dedicated.
Abby
Yeah, you are. So that could have a role play in the brain all over the place, because mine does too.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I'm very. Lack of sleep right now. I'm running on, like, five hours.
Abby
Oh, that's like me every day.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah. Yeah. Look at us go.
Abby
We're doing good. It's fine.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
We are.
Abby
Did you decide if you're doing the holiday singing group this year, James in Virginia?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, gosh, did not decide yet. But we are getting down to The Wire.
Abby
When do you have to decide?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
So they have been rehearsing on Sundays.
Abby
Okay.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
And some weeknights I do have the tracks, like, on my phone that I can listen to and rehearse. It's just hard because I gotta decide when I'm going home. I used to, like, when I was single, I would go home the entire break, but now that I'm dating somebody, I'm probably not gonna be able to go that long. So then I'll be in town for more things. Makes sense, you know, because a lot of them are, like, December leading up to Christmas Day. And if I'm home that first week, I'm missing that anyway.
Annabe Sofa Advertiser
Yeah.
Abby
So it's like trying to decide if it's worth it to do it when there's not a lot that you can do. Depending on when you go home.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes. I haven't decided yet.
Abby
Okay.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I'll post about it if we do. But I'm kind of like you. I'm like. I'm trying to. I can't say yes to everything because then I get very overwhelmed and then I'm not that. You know, you can't be a hundred percent if you're just, like, too scatterbrained and not focused. I'm not gonna be able to add anything to them. So I wanna make sure I can be 100%. So I gotta get my schedule figured out.
Abby
Yeah, I completely understand. We're in a season of rest. Trying to be.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Anyway, trying to.
Abby
Have y' all been on a double date yet? This is from Katie in Texas.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, my gosh. Wait.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
We.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
We did get to see each other at Post Malone's, the grand opening.
Abby
We've had moments of passing, but we haven't quite accomplished a double date. But, yes, we were at Post Malone's at the same time. We had a moment where the boyfriends met. It was very brief because Post Malone's was chaotic.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
It was. We were just, like, sitting on bar stools because we had been up walking. And I was like, let's just sit here and eat or just relax. Because it was. Yes. There were people everywhere, really loud. And then you guys walked in, we said, hi, and then I never saw you again.
Abby
I know. I never saw you again either.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
You were like, we're going to walk out and explore.
Abby
And then I was gone into the abyss. We didn't. We didn't end up staying for the concert itself because it was insane on Broadway.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Us trying to walk from the bar, like, into the area in the, like, to see the concert. People were, like, pushing. It was bad. It was getting into, like, a bad situation.
Abby
We couldn't even get into, get to where we were supposed to be standing. And I was dead sober. I said, I do not have it in me to survive this.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah, no, it's a lot. They were like, get Metro down here now. Because people were pushing, and I'm like, I'm not trying to cut anybody in line. I'm not trying to block anybody. I'm just trying to get through this entrance and. Yeah, but, yeah, we didn't see each other again, but we need to. Why have we not gone on one? I'm just.
Abby
Because, like, we were just both talking about how chaotic both of our schedules are.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I know.
Abby
We barely have time in our own lives to, like, do stuff for ourselves.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah. We really don't.
Abby
Let alone to make that happen, but we do need to. We just need to put, like, something on the books.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I know. We.
Abby
We do make it happen before the.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
End of the year. Let's try. Okay, deal.
Abby
We'll go to a Christmas bar, so it'll be very festive.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes, let's. That'd be fun.
Abby
Okay, deal. Have you converted to packers fan yet from Jill Blake in Tennessee?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Um, when. When they're playing, I'll cheer for them. If Broncos are playing, I will cheer for the Broncos. If they play each other, I will cheer for the Broncos.
Abby
Are you a die hard Broncos fan?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah.
Abby
Like, you're never gonna give that up?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
No, because I. It's kind of like a. Just a family tradition. And it's also, like, a way for me to feel close to my brother who passed away because he was a huge Broncos fan. And I feel like he would. You know, he's looking down, like, would strike me if I.
Abby
He'd be mad if you switched teams.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah. He'd be like, what are you doing? So, no, I will always be a Broncos fan kind of as a tribute to him, but I'm not opposed to being a Packers fan. I like cheering for them. They're really good.
Abby
What about your boyfriend, though, becoming a Broncos fan?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
He cheers for them. But.
Abby
But, like, switching sides.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
You know how guys are. They're more like, no, this is my team.
Abby
There's no. No changing.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
No. If I buy him a Bronco shirt, he might, like, wear one. But. And I was like that with him. I was like, you can buy me. I'm not gonna buy a Packers thing. You can buy it for me if you want me to wear it.
Abby
That's how you make it all work.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah, that's kind of how he was. He's like, if you want to buy me like Jayhawks, like Kansas stuff, then.
Abby
I' so does he have college teams? Because you are a die hard Jayhawk fan too.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah, he is Wisconsin, but then he went to San Diego State for grad school.
Abby
This man has a lot of teams.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Is that grad school or is that undergrad? Oh my gosh, I don't even know. Yeah, he does. Yeah, but he's mostly football, like Packers. That's his number one. Okay.
Abby
That's the one that matters the most. The others he just kind of keeps up with.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
But he likes the Milwaukee Bucks, I think too. And.
Abby
Okay, so everything.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes, he has. Yeah, he has his teams, but there's.
Abby
A lot going on there.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I know. Like, how do you have so many teams?
Abby
You'd be like, okay, we can both like have shared NFL teams, but like we gotta consolidate the college teams. Okay, Just one.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yep. Yes.
Abby
And it's gonna be the Jayhawks.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
It's basically that. I mean, yeah, that one rules, you know that one definitely.
Abby
No, yeah, you Jayhawks are die hard, so.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah, I know. Well, Versed, basketball, football. You guys are good.
Abby
Leave them, leave them. We don't eat.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
No, I just think as far as being good.
Abby
Oh, that's funny. That was funny. Okay, we're gonna take a quick break and jump out of here. I think that answered your question though, Jill.

Hari Kondabolu
On the podcast Health Stuff, we are tackling all the health questions that keep you up at night.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
Yes, I'm Dr. Priyanka Walley, a double board certified physician.
Hari Kondabolu
And I'm Hari Kondabolu, a comedian and someone who once googled do I have scurvy at 3am on health stuff, we're.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
Talking about health in a different way.
Hari Kondabolu
It's not only about what we can do to improve our health, but also.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
What our health says about us and the way we're living.
Hari Kondabolu
Like our episode where we look at.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
Diabetes in the United states. I mean, 50% of Americans are pre diabetic.
Hari Kondabolu
How preventable is type 2?
Dr. Priyanka Wali
Extremely. Or our in depth analysis of how incredible mangoes are.
Hari Kondabolu
Oh, it's hard to explain to rest of the world that like your mangoes are fine because mangoes are incredible. But like, you don't even know.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
You don't know, you don't know.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
It's going to be a fun ride. So tune in.
Hari Kondabolu
Listen to health stuff on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Abby
She said Johnny, the kids didn't come home last night.
Paper Ghosts Podcast Narrator
Along the central Texas plains, teens are dying, suicides that don't make sense, strange accidents and brutal murders in what seems to be a plot ripped straight out of Breaking Bad.
Wilmer Valderrama
Drugs, alcohol, trafficking of people.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
There are people out there that absolutely know what happened.
Paper Ghosts Podcast Narrator
Listen to Paper Ghosts, the Texas Teen murders on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Wilmer Valderrama
What do you get when you mix 1950s Hollywood, a Cuban musician with a dream, and one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time? You get Desi Arnaz, a trailblazer, a businessman, a husband, and maybe most importantly, the first Latino to break primetime wide open. I'm Wilmer Valderrama. And yes, I grew up watching him, probably just like you and millions of others. But for me, I saw myself in his story. From cleaning canary cages to this night here in New York, it's a long ways. On the podcast starring Desi Arnaz and Wilmer Valderrama, I'll take you on a journey to Desi's life The moments it has overlapped with mine. How he redefined American television and what that meant for all of us watching from the sidelines, waiting for a face like ours on screen. This is the story of how one man's spotlight led the path for so many others and how we carry his legacy today. Listen to. Starring Desi Arnaz and Wilmer Valderrama as part of the Micultura Podcast network, available on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Abby
We did talk about this a little bit in part one, but I want to make sure to answer in case you can't check both of them. But if you can, I suggest going to listen to that. This is from Chris in California. Have you put your house up for rent? Are you now paying rent? And you can share as much or as little as you want to. Please know that.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah, no, I. It's not up for rent. And no, I'm not paying rent for my boyfriend's house.
Abby
And you mentioned on part one that it's going to be put up for rent at some point, but.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Uh huh. Yeah, I'm going through all my stuff. Like I said. I don't know, I accumulated a lot in 10 years or the 12 years I've lived here and I'm being very strategic of what I want to keep and give away.
Abby
Mm. And that's a process.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah. And I'm very like, sentimental. I like to hold on to things. You're hoarder. Yes.
Abby
That was a very nice way of telling yourself a hoarder.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Like that futon that I talked about in the other part. That was the first futon that I bought in Nashville. Like. And so I have memories that I was in my little apartment just living on my own.
Abby
Abby, you cannot be on the hoarder show one day. You have got to work through this part.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
No, I'm not there. I can walk like through my house. You said that a little not confidently.
Abby
If I'm being honest.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I think that when it's a problem is when you can't see your floors. I can see my floors.
Abby
It's a problem before that. Just an FYI. I love being sentimental and I think there's always things you should have for keepsakes. But a futon from when you first moved, ma', am, that is like, screams college.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
That's so. I'm dying. That's so ridiculous. The futon. Hey, I got rid of the table and chairs set.
Abby
Good. That was the table and chairs they.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Got out of there.
Abby
We gotta. You Know, find the things that are.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, my God.
Abby
Really cannot be replaced. You can replace a futon.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah, it's gotta go. It's not very comfortable either. It's really. Yeah.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
Yeah.
Abby
Because it's been for college kid. It's about to be in a college dormitory.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
It is. I should give it away. I should give it to someone.
Abby
College kids around here. You totally get one.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I'd love to do that.
Abby
That's funny. I swear you're gonna end up on Hoarders. And I'm saying that very jokingly because I really don't know what your house looks like. But I. My family, we have a lot of stuff. And I have made an active decision as an adult to not keep a lot of stuff.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, yeah. You don't have anything.
Abby
No, I'm very intentional about it either has a place or it leaves or it gets donated or somebody gets it. I'm very good also about making sure it gets reused because I do not like throwing things away.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah.
Abby
So, like, I will find a home for it. It just cannot be in my home.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
You need a futon. No.
Annabe Sofa Advertiser
No.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
More things. Oh, my. Okay. So she's working on it. I'm working on it. So work in progress. Working on not being on Hoarders.
Abby
I will die laughing. And so much love. As we say on the show, that's.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
How I get on tv. Lunchbox would love that. I got on hoarders.
Abby
If like 10 years down the road you pop up on Hoarders and I'm like, pull the clip. Pull the clip. We talked about this.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
You put it. You put this into the universe.
Abby
No, I'm putting into the universe that you can get rid of it now.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
You know, I've had the food on 12 years. Let's just make it 20.
Abby
No, not no. Oh, Abby. Does Abby run a turkey trout for Thanksgiving? That's from Alyssa.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, my gosh. I never do. And I don't know why. Actually, I do know why. Because I like to sleep in. And races are usually at like 8 or 7:30.
Dr. Priyanka Wali
That's true.
Abby
But you love running.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I do love running. Don't really love.
Abby
Like, you really strike me as a turkey trout girl.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I used to be. I was in high school. I got like a medal for it too. My friend and I, Dana and I, we used to run the Turkey trot. That was cool.
Abby
I am the exact polar opposite. You know where they have those memes where it's like, I hope I don't marry into a family that does turkey draw on Thanksgiving. That's me. I hope I never marry into that family.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
You're not. You would never do one.
Abby
No, I'll walk on Thanksgiving. I love going on a walk or like a hike or something. But you may. I just hate running.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah. I just hate early mornings for working on a morning show. I am not a morning person.
Abby
I feel you on that.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I really did used to be like dedicated to running, getting up and doing it and doing.
Abby
Did you wear like a little turkey hat?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
No. No.
Abby
That's what I picture is everybody who does a turkey trot has like one of the turkey hats with the legs and they just run with the turkey hat on.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
If I would do it now, yeah, I'd definitely go all out. You gotta make it fun, you know, you gotta do like a costume. I could do like a onesie. A turkey onesie.
Abby
See, that's fun.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah, I could do that. But it has to be after like 11 o'. Clock.
Abby
I don't think those exist because most people are starting to eat by that point. I know, lunch or dinner, depending on where they fall.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah. Okay.
Abby
So no. And lastly, we got a question for some help. So our listener Krista has a friends. Like a friends miss Christmas party. And she wants to know favorite things to take for that in the 20 to $30 range.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh my gosh. I'm really bad at bringing things. Like coming up with creative things to bring.
Abby
I know, me too. I'm not a good present gifter. I'm very practical. Like just how you heard us mentioning about, like I don't ever want to get somebody something that just sits in their house.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Huh.
Abby
I want them to use it or it's like a gift card that they'll use outside somewhere and it doesn't take up a lot of space. I'm very practical gift giver.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh man. I made a really good sweet potato casserole with like marshmallows on top and cinnamon. Like I remember that was really good. And people really liked that.
Abby
Okay.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah. So if you just look up, you know, I'm sure I just looked it up online. I remember I was like, I want to make something like that.
Abby
Food is a universal love language. You can always bring food and people are happy. I have different dips that I love to bring. Raspberry black bean dip is one of my favorite. That's from Manhattan that I always remake for parties. I also like will make little treat bags, the Oreo balls or like homemade Chex mix. So you could do those. But I guess if it's a gift giving situation Wait, I thought she said food.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, my God. I totally missed that.
Abby
And you're like, what are you doing? No, it's the same.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Okay, sorry.
Abby
You can still. You could do a little tree bag for a gift.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, my gosh, it works. You're like, what are you talking about?
Abby
So you could bring a sweet potato casserole to the friends giving. Yeah, the friends miss Christmas party. It's really throwing me off. That says friends miss.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes. I totally missed that whole thing because I was like, oh, what to bring to eat. Okay, gifts.
Abby
We're going there. It's all right. We got a lot of options. I would say one of my favorite things is to get barefoot dreams. Fuzzy socks. Ooh, there's a bunch of women. Because those are like really high quality fuzzy socks and they're comfy. Everybody's loved them.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, yeah, last year I did. So some of my friends, yeah, I did fuzzy socks. A thing of hand lotion and a candle. And that's like 30. That's.
Abby
That's a little self care gift.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah, those are fun.
Abby
But see, whenever we do like our big. When we do it with my, my dad's side for Christmas, we'd always do bring gift cards and they were always the one that got passed around. So if you're doing a type of pass around situation, get a gift card. Like an Amazon gift card. Everybody loves an Amazon gift card. Or, or you could do a Target gift card. Those are really popular too. If you don't want to just do a basic Visa. Those are fun. Or like a Taco Bell gift card. I love a gift card. Like, I'm a huge fan of gift cards.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I am too.
Abby
I will keep it. I will use them.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah. They say it's like boring or not creative and I'm like, love it. If it's something that everybody, you know.
Abby
It'S practical, logical, and it doesn't take up space.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yes.
Abby
And you know that they're probably going to use it unless there's somebody who doesn't want free money.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I know.
Abby
That feels weird though.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Yeah.
Abby
You don't like free money. That feels weird.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
How about a heated blanket?
Abby
Oh, fun.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I love those. Okay.
Abby
I don't even think I have a heated blanket.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, my gosh. Really?
Abby
Yeah.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Love you. Just plug it in, get all cozy.
Abby
She's like doing things with her hands over here and I'm like, I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I hear you.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I'm imagining myself on a couch on my futon with a heated blanket.
Abby
I like that. You could also do a crewneck of some kind. My friends, for my birthday one year, my 30th birthday, they got a stitching of Remy and Hazel on their faces and a little red crew neck and wear it all the time.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, I love that.
Abby
So you could do a personalized crewneck of some kind or, like, for their team, or maybe there's, like, something they're super geeked out about. Crewnecks are always.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
And slippers. I'm trying to think of things.
Abby
I love that you just kept going the self care route like you started somewhere and you've just, like, trickled in that same.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
These are gifts I would love to get. That's.
Abby
And that's what matters. So we got all the options here.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
We came up with some wine.
Abby
Wine's good. Unless they're not a wine drinker.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I'm not.
Abby
I'm not either anymore.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
But people seem to love to get it, you know?
Abby
I love a kitchen utensil. You find a cool kitchen utensil that's like, people would love, whether it's like a vegetable cutter or. I don't know. Maybe I'm weird. I really like kitchen gadgets. Is that weird?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Am I old? A veggie cut. Love it.
Abby
I love those things. Again, practical. Like, that's where my mind goes, is I'm like, oh, like, if you love to cook, you're gonna use something like that?
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Mm.
Abby
I guess it depends on if you're doing someone or just if you're doing someone specifically. We have plenty of options if you're doing, like, a rotation situation where you're, like, throwing around gifts. Gift card, always. It's always a winner.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, yeah.
Abby
And throw some fuzzy socks with it. Everybody will be happy.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, my gosh. That's the best right there. See right there? That's it. Not my.
Abby
Or a sweet potato casserole.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
What in the world, Abby. I don't. I miss that. I went somewhere else in that moment.
Abby
But also, bring the sweet potato casserole with the gift.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
You just went with it too.
Abby
You're like, okay, you know, I'll let y' all roll with things. We just see where they go.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Thank you. But yeah, bring the sweet potato.
Abby
Sweet potato casserole with your fuzzy socks. I love a pair of socks.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Okay.
Abby
All right, let's get out of here.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Oh, man. Yeah, I'm gonna go sleep or something. Gotta focus.
Abby
I think we both need some sleep.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Coffee, maybe. I don't know. I don't think.
Abby
More coffee.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
I haven't. Now I'm like, Loopy.
Abby
Okay.
Show Producer/Assistant (possibly Amy or Abby's colleague)
Okay.
Abby
Bye everybody.
