Morgan and a show member answer almost all your questions.
Bobby Bones
Time to answer some listener questions and Amy is joining me this weekend. Thanks, Amy, for being here.
Amy Brown
Happy to be here.
Bobby Bones
We're doing it kind of just on Rogue. I'm literally just going through these questions because I thought it'd be more fun. Most of the time I put them all out and do the whole thing, but I feel like I miss some that come in super late right at the tail end of it. So we're just running with this. Megan from Kentucky wants to know our food obsessions right now.
Amy Brown
Oh, gosh. I'm thinking I have a few, but kiwis.
Bobby Bones
You have been posting a lot about kiwis.
Amy Brown
Kiwis with the skin and toast with cream cheese.
Bobby Bones
Toast with cream. I had to think about that one for a second. Yeah, that's good.
Amy Brown
Yeah. And normally my daughter's just gotten into cream cheese on her bagels and so now we have cream cheese in the house and I'm like, oh, I want toast with cream cheese and I sprinkle a little sea salt on top. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So the toast thing, obsession still stays.
Amy Brown
Oh, yeah. I've all. Yes. I've been obsessed with toast for years. It's just the toast toppings that change.
Bobby Bones
Fair.
Amy Brown
But I will always be a toast girl.
Bobby Bones
You should try cottage cheese on toast. Okay, I'll try that with some honey and you can do some little. I do sometimes honey and fig butter and pistachios. Really yummy. I've also done like tomatoes with balsamic vinaigrette.
Amy Brown
Oh, I bet I would like that.
Bobby Bones
Okay. All the good things.
Amy Brown
I'll try it.
Bobby Bones
I am. Cottage cheese is kind of my obsession. It's like the hot thing on social media right now. But I've just been trying to get a lot of protein in. So scrambled eggs with cottage cheese and a little bit of honey is my like every morning right now.
Amy Brown
I love honey. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Do you like. But do you like cottage cheese? It grosses some people out. No, I like it. Okay.
Amy Brown
I love cottage cheese and grapes.
Bobby Bones
Ah, Okay. I need to try that because I.
Amy Brown
Love grapes and I like cheese. Yes. Just put Some cottage cheese in a bowl, cut up grapes and toss it in and eat it like. Just like that. It's so good.
Bobby Bones
Look at it. We have more cottage cheese recipes for you guys. That's where we go. All right. A decision that you made that changed a lot in your life. Jalen's girlfriend from Fort Worth. I think she's coming in through his account to write that question.
Amy Brown
Well, there's a lot of decisions that I've made that changed my entire life. I guess one that I'm thinking about this morning, driving in. I was thinking about my boyfriend's kids and just my relationship with them. And I think choosing to go out on a date with him completely changed my life because I. I went out with him not to really date him, but to practice dating.
Bobby Bones
You were in that phase when you guys met. Even when you heard about him, you were in the practice.
Amy Brown
Yeah, because I was like, I can't take this on. Like, he's a widower and he has three kids. This is a lot. He seems nice, though, so why not let me. I need to practice dating, so I'm going to go. And I went. And now here we are, all these months later, and, I mean, I can't. I don't know what's gonna happen with us, but it's weird. I can't imagine not knowing what's going on with his kids, you know, or being a part of their life. And that was a part I was so scared of.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Isn't that crazy how it always, like, is the thing that you're afraid of most? I feel like mine. Mine really happened when I decided to graduate college early. That was, like, not something I took lightly and something I didn't really. I had all my credits and stuff done, and I just was gonna, you know, stay and hang out another year and just finish and have four years like everybody does. And I decided not to. And then my life is drastically changed because of it. I don't think I would be in this job or where I'm at in my life had I not just taken the. The correct road that everybody else did. I took the road that was so much different. And I had friends who were seniors in college who were still partying and having fun, and I was at home trying to get a job, you know, it was not the thing that I. And for the first few months of it, I very much was like, what have I done? Did I make the right decision? And then, you know, getting the job at iheart back in Wichita to then just the trickle of events that followed. It's crazy. Like, drastically. Think my life would have turned out so different.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Had I not made that call. It's crazy. You know, you just. I think. I think a lot about when I make decisions is, like, is this a decision that's gonna be one of those that I really need to make correctly, or is it just gonna be one that doesn't matter?
Amy Brown
Yeah. Like, what do I put on my toast this morning? Versus.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Or like, is it, like, is putting something different on toast gonna change my entire life in five seconds? What's gonna happen?
Amy Brown
Probably not. Unless it's some epic concoction that just blows up on social media and then you get hired by a toast creator company.
Bobby Bones
And that can happen. Maybe it's because I'm getting older. I don't know. But I feel like I think about that a lot more now. Just how my decisions are going to affect later me, and that feels weird. Okay. What do you think happened to Amy Bradley? Laura from Wisconsin?
Amy Brown
I don't know. I go back and forth. I'm starting to lean towards. Well, we're not ruining anything if people haven't watched it. Right. Because I don't want to get accused of spoiling anything. But she is missing. I mean, the show is called. Or the Netflix doc, which this is the latest one. There are other ones I want to watch that I've heard about, and they're past interviews that I would like to watch. And I've read some different thoughts on it. And I thought she was trafficked and she's in the Caribbean somewhere, which would be terrible. And now I'm wondering if she went overboard. I'm starting to think the family might.
Bobby Bones
Be enjoying this funny thing, but I'm more laughing at you because I wish I could get into stuff like this. Like, even the Body in the Snow. Have you.
Amy Brown
You haven't watched Amy Bradley is missing?
Bobby Bones
No, and I couldn't. I watched one episode of Body in the Snow and I was like, I don't care. I just stopped. I. I can't get into the murder mystery stuff. Not just murder, but, like, just any of the true crime. Yeah, I wish I could because everybody gets so invested in it, and I want to be a part of it.
Amy Brown
Well, I don't think you need to be. It's. Honestly, sometimes I'm like, why am I so invested in this? And I'm not even as bad as some people, but.
Bobby Bones
I know, but, like, I don't know, I just feel like I have fomo because all of you guys Talk about true crime stuff. And then I just, like, it goes over my head.
Amy Brown
It's okay. Like, the amount of times in the day that I wonder about Amy Bradley and is too much.
Bobby Bones
So all I can think of when you guys keep saying Amy Bradley is Bradley from the morning show. The character.
Amy Brown
Oh, yeah. Reese's character.
Bobby Bones
Because that's the only other Bradley that I have heard. Or like Bradley Cooper. I don't know. I just have weird associations when people say different names. But those are what I keep thinking of, and it's not the same at all. What bird will you visit as your kids? As after you pass Jessica and Oregon?
Amy Brown
Oh, can I be an owl?
Bobby Bones
I think you could be whatever you want to be. I think that's your choice.
Amy Brown
I think I'd like to be a. A barred owl.
Bobby Bones
A barred owl?
Amy Brown
Yeah. It's a specific kind. They're really cute to me because isn't.
Bobby Bones
There also a barn owl? So is that different than a barred owl?
Amy Brown
I don't know. I mean, I don't know if that's just an owl that lives in a barn. I'm not supposed to Google that. But a barred owl, they're more of like the round face with the big round eyes. And they're cute.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy Brown
Some owls are more intimidating and scary looking. I feel like barred owls are cute.
Bobby Bones
I feel like you should be a white owl. Like a snow owl. That would be a pretty one.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like the one in Harry Potter. Hedwig. No. Yeah, Hedwig.
Amy Brown
Hedwig. Maybe I'll take. I don't know. But you know, would be. Or a cute little chickadee.
Bobby Bones
Jiggity. Or an owl are very drastically different experiences. But that's okay.
Amy Brown
Oh, I guess I was really like, what about you, Morgan? You're like Amy. Ow. I'm not obsessed with birds.
Bobby Bones
No. But if I came back as a animal, I think I'd want to come back as a sloth. We seem to have really good lives.
Amy Brown
Yeah. Or penguin.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. But, you know, honestly, animals all have issues. And that Wild ones show that I told you guys all to watch has now, like, I don't want to be an animal. People are so mean to animals for no reason. So now I don't want to come back.
Amy Brown
People are also mean to humans for no reason. So true.
Bobby Bones
All of it.
Amy Brown
Right.
Bobby Bones
We got a comment of you both are beautiful and amazing women who bring a good vibe to the show and deserve nothing but happiness. That's very sweet. Okay. We talked about colleges. James from Virginia. Not the same one.
Amy Brown
Same.
Bobby Bones
We have two James in Virginia's which feels crazy different one and we talked about that in part one. If you want to go listen to. We had Jordan from Kyle, Texas who just wanted to say we are awesome. And have the new boyfriends met the show yet? Neither one of ours have. You know, I'm gonna keep him away as long as possible. Honestly, not necessarily from like Amy or Abby, but the guys. Yeah. He has met Lunchbox and Scuba at passing events, but I haven't like specifically. Oh, okay.
Amy Brown
So Lunchbox got to meet him.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. The celebrity softball game.
Amy Brown
Oh nice.
Bobby Bones
And it was actually a fine interaction. I was a little concerned, but I looked at my boyfriend, said, you're gonna see Lunchbox tonight. Say nothing, just talk nothing about us because I have no idea what you.
Amy Brown
Want to use against as show prep.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Amy Brown
Uh huh. You never know.
Bobby Bones
So I think that's why we never heard about it because my boyfriend was well trained.
Amy Brown
In that moment I thought about having my boyfriend. I was like, you should just maybe one day. Just popping in our studio now is really difficult because of our new building. It's just not easy to get up here. So it has crossed my mind if it were easier or one day we just figure it out and he just comes up and can meet everybody and.
Bobby Bones
Get it over with.
Amy Brown
We just haven't had any outings or events or anything that make sense. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. Between my kids and him always having his kids, even finding Caitlin and I have talked about doing like a double date night or maybe we all could like just doing a date night or something. It's hard to coordinate.
Bobby Bones
I don't feel like the guys, we.
Amy Brown
Barely go on dates, everybody group date night.
Bobby Bones
They'd be like, absolutely not. You guys are on your own. And then it ended up being you and me. And then that's fine. At least they get a meet. But that would probably happen. Okay, we're gonna take a quick break. We'll be right back.

Here'S what I love about impossible. You don't have to pick. It tastes great. It's delicious meat made from plants so you get to eat good and still go big. I'm talking about full on protein and full on Cheat day meals without the cheat day fills. It's fuel for your body and it tastes delicious. That is the most important part, right? It comes from plants. It grills like beef. It's not or it's and it's impossible. Look, I love burgers. There's nothing like the grill going nice summer afternoon, getting that perfect burger, stacking it high, the whole deal, right? Summertime burgers. But I also like knowing that I'm not wrecking my cholesterol or feeling super heavy afterwards. It's everything you love about meat without the guilt of meat. Impossible lets you have both. It's awesome. So if you're like me and you want to eat good and you want to feel good, grab some impossible meat products next time you're at the store. Red packaging. You can't miss it. Got another shout out from Rachel in Illinois. She just loves how much we are both radiating happiness. So happy for you both.
Amy Brown
Oh thank you Rachel.
Bobby Bones
Exciting. Diana wants to know she's from Texas. Are you adjusting well in your new relationship? Yes, I think for some people it's they still think of them as new within this year, especially if they're catching up on the podcast.
Amy Brown
Definitely new. It's weird to think that at this point in my relationship with my with Ben, my husband, first husband, but I don't have a second yet. My ex husband. How do you say it? My ex husband.
Bobby Bones
I've noticed for you is that it's very difficult to see how identify him. It's changed very much over the past.
Amy Brown
Year because I don't know what the deal is with ex husband and maybe that's just something I need to work through. But it is what it is. He's my ex husband and at this point in our relationship we were already married and I'm still dating. Like we're not even. And I think that it's okay that we're not. It's just Ben and I moved very quickly and I think yes, we're adjusting there. Have we finally got over a lot of the growing pains of figuring out how to navigate his kids, my kids, his, you know, wife passing away. Like there was a lot of that in the beginning. And I say the beginning, like the first five months, like just different things would pop up like meeting her family or different events or what do I do here or your daughter is this. And now we got over all those humps and we took our first blended family vacation.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I question how that vacation went from a listener. I am trying to figure out their name. They didn't arrive at Mary. She would like to know how that vacation went.
Amy Brown
It was. I exceeded all my expectations. I do think that I tried not to have any, though, because you just. You don't know.
E
So.
Amy Brown
I did hope for the best, though, and I wanted certain memories, and we got those. And I'm very, very grateful that everybody got along and it was fine. I mean, I knew it wasn't. It wasn't going to be terrible, but I guess you just don't know if there's going to be awkward. And it really wasn't. So that I was thankful for. I mean, anytime I think you travel with anybody new, you're like, okay, let's see how this is going to go.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, very much so. I loved your carousel posts of that experience that you guys had and what it was like and your thoughts going in and then being done after. I thought it was very real and just life.
Amy Brown
Yeah, we. We both had a great time. I think we were able to relax. I was more nervous than he was, but I think going into it, we were like, how's this going to be? And then probably the second day we took this boat out and we both were able to fall asleep and our kids were just playing. And I was like, okay. I think that. I think. Yeah. I posted that picture of us napping on the boat where we legit both fell asleep. And his son, I thought it was so cute. His son took that picture.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Amy Brown
And he was like, hey, like later, after we got up and. And we were at the boat, he's like, hey, I took some pictures on your phone. I think you're gonna like them. Wink, wink. And I was like, oh, and he's 13.
Bobby Bones
So you're like, what kind of pictures?
Amy Brown
And, well, I just thought, oh, that's so cute. And he's the one that's bonded to me. I think we all get along, obviously, but I think he. Him being the youngest and not having a mom, you know, the last almost six years, like, he's craving that mom, like, so he'll do kind of.
Bobby Bones
You have a special connection. Yes.
Amy Brown
That's a little bit different, but I think that makes sense.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy Brown
It's not that, you know, I don't know. I guess I feel bad saying that about the other kids, but I think you get the idea. It just is different. He's craving a mom figure, and I thought that was really precious. So when I opened up the phone.
Bobby Bones
I was like, oh, this actually is.
Amy Brown
A really precious picture. Thank you.
Bobby Bones
That's so cute. I love when the kids take cute pictures. Pictures. And I'm like, I think you'll like this.
Amy Brown
Especially because he did that all on his own. Like, we were asleep and he grabbed my phone and just took the pictures.
Bobby Bones
That's so cute. Sammy from Virginia said Spicy Amy has been employee of the quarter level. Funny. 5 out of 5 roll tides.
Amy Brown
Spicy Amy or what do they call me? Pervy Amy?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think both. I think it's a combination of the two. What is the weirdest animal you would want as a pet? Jessica from San Diego.
Amy Brown
Like an otter.
Bobby Bones
Oh, otters are cute, but I need two.
Amy Brown
So they can hold hands.
Bobby Bones
Not hold your hand.
Amy Brown
Well, I like when they lay together in the water and hold hands.
Bobby Bones
So you just want to watch them lay in the water?
Amy Brown
Yeah. And then send out otters. Like, take pebbles and keep them.
Bobby Bones
They do.
Amy Brown
Yeah. I know.
Bobby Bones
That's also a penguin thing.
Amy Brown
Okay, well, that's cute to me, so. And I'll probably never have an otter. And there's lots of animals I'd like to have.
Bobby Bones
But that, I mean, that came to your mind first. For whatever reason, I'm sticking with my sloth. I think I'd want a sloth mostly because they just hang on you and you just have this cute little fuzzy thing that's climbing on you all the time. And they just smile so slow. And it brings me joy. So I think I'm going with this loss.
Amy Brown
But you want to be a sloth and you want a sloth.
Bobby Bones
Yes. All the things just, you know, insert me in sloth family. I will never have one, though. I don't wow the animals. I like to see them in the wild. That's my preference. Okay. Does the boyfriend stay over and vice versa? How are you navigating that? And you can also plead the fifth if that's too.
Amy Brown
No.
Bobby Bones
Chantel in Oklahoma.
Amy Brown
No, we don't have. I mean, no. He has his kids 24 7. I have mine every other week. But, yeah, that doesn't work for us.
Bobby Bones
Hasn't happened yet.
Amy Brown
And even on our vacation, they stayed in a hotel down the way, and I got a condo for my kids. His son ended up coming down and staying in our condo with us because Stevenson's room had, like, twin beds. And so that was fun. But, I mean, it's not like we were all. I mean, we. We'd created space intentionally because we didn't want. We didn't know, like, how all the kids, everything was going to be so we're like, well, at least this. There's gap. But then his daughter ended up coming down to Arkando and wanted to get ready with Sashira and her friend that were on the trip, and the girls ended up hanging out. So we. Yeah. So even in that situation. No.
Bobby Bones
Does that feel weird? Are you like, dang, I really want to sometime?
Amy Brown
No, I mean, I think we understand our situation, so it just is what it is. And we've taken trips, and we have to be intentional about our time, but I think it's just. That's just is what it is.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And obviously, over the course of time, that changes. And if things get, you know, if you guys ever choose to remarry or life changes in that drastic, different direction, I think that also changes a lot of things.
Amy Brown
The younger son is always like, can you spend the night? You can sleep in my room, and I'll go sleep with my dad. Are you gonna stay the night? Like, stay the night. You can have my room. And I'm like, well, I gotta go get the dog. And he's like, the dog. And Cara can sleep in my bed. Go get your dog.
Bobby Bones
He's so sweet.
Amy Brown
That's cute. Yeah, some of his friends, parents that are divorced and dating, like, they have live in girlfriends or, you know, so he's seen that. So he's sort of like, well, you know, his friends have that, but we're just not. We're doing it differently.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy Brown
It's.
Bobby Bones
It's also a slower burn. Right. Like, you're just figuring out what that potentially could look like later.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So as of right now, it hasn't just gotten to that point yet. Okay, good question. How do you. We'll end on this one. How do you show so much confidence? Chef Al in Tampa.
Amy Brown
Whoa. Are we. Are we exuding confidence? Because I don't know that I have it totally. Sometimes I have to just have talks with myself. I think, you know, this air is different than the other part, but we talked about dopamine dressing, so I think sometimes I use clothes to feel more confident and then show confidence. And sometimes I, you know, have talks with myself of, like, you can do this. Like, you. Like, you are capable. Believe in yourself. Just like I would try to pump up my daughter, I pump up myself. And I think sometimes it may come off that we're exuding more than we actually have. I mean, we just. Any human thing. Sometimes you think, like, how is that person so confident? But there may be some insecurities screaming in there that you have no idea about.
Bobby Bones
Yes. I feel like that's also my life. I'm very much a fake it till you make it person when it comes to my confidence. I just like, if I fake it enough, I start to believe it, and then I just kind of stay there instead of. Because if I, like, do let all my insecurities out and stuff, that. That's just a scared little girl who's working through a lot of stuff. So I really have to, like, put my brave face on and say, hey, we're gonna fake this, and you're gonna start to feel good as soon as you, you know, faked it enough that you'll start to finally believe this is real and you can do this.
Amy Brown
I think it's also too surrounding yourself with people that are encouraging and lift.
Bobby Bones
You up instead of taking you down, right? Yeah, very much so. I think Amy and I have both cultivated really great communities around us to really help us believe in ourselves and support us. We've done really good about that. So I think a lot of that comes from there, too.
Amy Brown
I think so, too. In fact, I would probably. I know I mentioned dopamine dressing is first, but I think it's your community.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy Brown
First two are your people. It doesn't even have to be multiple people. It could be one person that. That's who you rely on for. Like, hey.
Bobby Bones
Like, hey, check. You're good.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Literally, my boyfriend, every time before, like, he'll. Whenever he's in at my house in the morning before work, he'll be like, you're capable of amazing things. And I can't wait to see what you do today. Every single day. Every single day.
Amy Brown
Wow.
Bobby Bones
And I'm like, I needed that. Some days I'm like, yeah, I am. And other days I'm like, yeah, I don't feel that, but thank you. I needed that.
Amy Brown
He's a really good cheerleader.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Amy Brown
Yeah, that's good.
Bobby Bones
It's a good, like, we're good at giving each other the. What are they? Comfort word.
Amy Brown
Affirmation.
Bobby Bones
Thank you. Yeah, I was almost there. All right, we're jumping out of here. Amy, thanks for being here.
Amy Brown
Yeah, you're welcome.
Bobby Bones
