Lexi Brown
Here we are, part three of Best Bits. Eddie is joining me. Hi, Eddie.
Bobby Bones
What's up, Morgan?
Lexi Brown
You ready for your shoutouts to start?
Bobby Bones
I love the shoutouts.
Lexi Brown
Milana from California, not gonna lie, we were all worried about you when we saw you broke your arm.
Bobby Bones
Oh, Milana, thank you. I was worried too.
Lexi Brown
So worried. So happy for Eddie and Ray. Congrats.
Bobby Bones
Thank you.
Lexi Brown
Weird moment on the show.
Bobby Bones
So weird.
Lexi Brown
I'm like, what I think my favorite part was neither one of you guys realizing why are we getting congratulated?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that was. Yeah.
Mariah Rose
Weird.
Lexi Brown
No question. But I root for Eddie in every game and he's the absolute best, Sarah.
Bobby Bones
Thanks, Sarah. I appreciate that. Because, like, everyone thinks, like, oh, you're getting cocky. Like, you, like you. Do you really want Lunchbox winning all the games?
Lexi Brown
No, but also, I don't want you winning. But also, I don't have much room because I can't win any game I've done.
Bobby Bones
You're doing better. You're doing better.
Lexi Brown
Trying really hard. Okay. Do you have a favorite activity to do with each kid during your one on one time? Jessica and San Diego.
Bobby Bones
Well, they all like different things, so I think one of them likes to just go throw football. Like throw the football in the backyard or go to a field somewhere and he can run routes.
Lexi Brown
I got a little worried, but yep. Okay.
Bobby Bones
You know, like a football field.
Lexi Brown
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like, I go to a school.
Lexi Brown
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Like we have a middle school that's like nearby and there's a whole football field. We'll kick field goal, stuff like that. He likes to do that. One of them likes to rollerblade. So I don't even still and I will not. He's the. Yeah, he's the little one. He's the one that had a birthday party and wanted to go roller skating. Another one likes to just listen to music. Like, just listen to music. And he just bought a vinyl. Like a record player.
Lexi Brown
Nice.
Bobby Bones
And I gave him a bunch of my old vinyls.
Lexi Brown
Was he so happy?
Bobby Bones
And so. Oh, dude, he loves it. He loves it. And we just got him speakers for it. So now it sounds like legit. Not those little speakers, you know? You know what I'm talking about. And then the other one likes to just play basketball. We have a little basketball court in the back and likes to do that.
Lexi Brown
You have a lot of variety.
Bobby Bones
Those are the go tos. Sometimes it's ice cream. Sometimes, like, I want to go to Sonic. Sometimes, like, take me somewhere to go watch a movie. I'm like, that's too expensive. It's too much to go watch a movie. Yeah, like one on one time to watch a movie. Like if. If I spend three hours with you and take you to a movie, like, I'm gonna do that with everyone else.
Lexi Brown
Got it. At that point, you just might as well bring everybody family event.
Bobby Bones
And then that's kind of how that happens. Let's all go see Mufasa. Let's all get in the car.
Lexi Brown
Did you go see Mufasa.
Bobby Bones
We did.
Lexi Brown
Was it good?
Bobby Bones
It was really good.
Lexi Brown
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Like, I was impressed with the music. I don't know. To me, like, in those, those Disney movies, the music is important to me.
Lexi Brown
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like, because that's, like, so. Well, you're a music guy and Circle of life and can you feel the love tonight? That really was such a big part of Lion King, the original Lion King, that I was like, oh, these songs may be bad for the new Lion King, but they were actually pretty good.
Lexi Brown
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And then, you know, just the storyline of Mufasa is pretty cool too, just to kind of understand how.
Lexi Brown
Well, Mufasa was the dad.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he's Simba's dad.
Lexi Brown
What's the bad lion's name?
Bobby Bones
Scar.
Lexi Brown
Scar. That's it. Okay.
Bobby Bones
He's in it, too.
Lexi Brown
Of course he is. Cause he has to be part of the story. He's a brother.
Bobby Bones
That's exactly right.
Lexi Brown
Is there anything else, like, that you would say on the show for your oldest son that you weren't going to do, like, the cell phone that you said he wasn't gonna have until he reached a certain point?
Bobby Bones
I get it. I understand the question.
Lexi Brown
Ashley in Louisiana, from a fellow helicopter parent. Is there anything you did end up doing that you said you wouldn't do?
Bobby Bones
Well, yes and no. Because, like, I think, Ashley, the main one was social media. Like, it was like, no, no social media until you're 18 years old. Um, but he did get a phone when he was 15. There was no social media on it other than, I think, Bereal or something. And it was only his friends. Um, and then now that he's. He just turned 17, by the way.
Lexi Brown
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
And now that he's 17, he has social media accounts. They're all private. They're all with his friends. Um, I do make sure and watch what he's posting on there, like, just to make sure everything's cool. But that'd be the big one. Like Instagram. Like, I was really, like, he's not. There's no reason he needs to be on instagram until he's 18 years old. And now it's like, you know what? Like, he's learned to use it. He's responsible with it. He loves watching it and following basketball teams and following, you know, football teams and knowing all this behind the behind the scenes stuff with football teams. So that's really cool. And. And I was wrong about that and I'm glad that I changed my mind. I think the rules had to be set on how he was going to use social media.
Lexi Brown
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Now that he's using it in a very responsible way and he understands and he's not a flashy person. He's not like someone who wants to be on Instagram to post and everyone see his post, which is a huge plus. I do have a kid, one of my boys that could be trouble there.
Lexi Brown
Hey, he could become a famous influencer and pay all your bills.
Bobby Bones
But see, that's what I'm talking about where like do that until you're 18. Because like you want to be a famous influencer. That's fine when you're an adult, but as a child, like, no, you're not going to focus all your energy on like trying to be a famous influencer when you're trying to get through school. Yeah, I think that's kind of it. So I was half right, half wrong.
Lexi Brown
Hey, we love a person who can admit when they're wrong.
Bobby Bones
We're growing. We are growing and we're learning as, as we grow.
Lexi Brown
Speaking of the 17 year old, what is the oldest son's plans for the future now that he's 16? 17, which also just wild that he's 17.
Bobby Bones
Wild.
Lexi Brown
You have a full grown teenager.
Bobby Bones
I've had so many of my old friends from like hometown and friends that I just grew up with that messaged me and been like, what is happening? He's 17. Like that is unbelievable. It is. It's crazy. Like Kenny, Hey, Kenny Chesney, man. He knows what he's talking about.
Lexi Brown
Don't blink.
Bobby Bones
Don't blink because it goes by quick. What was the question?
Lexi Brown
What is like his plans for the future?
Bobby Bones
College.
Lexi Brown
Yeah. Or anything like that.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I'm not. There's no, there's no force in college. But we do tell him the importance of going to college. And so I think that his plan is to go to college. He's starting to look at colleges, kind of see where his grades are now and where he can kind of be accepted. So he's trying to figure all that out right now. He's got a couple colleges that he's interested in, so we'll see.
Lexi Brown
He has another year or two, right?
Bobby Bones
He does. He has two years. Oh yeah, he has two years. But I think you have to be accepted like by the time you're a senior. Right.
Lexi Brown
It's like fall of senior year, if I remember correctly.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, like the first semester or whatever.
Lexi Brown
You still got some time.
Bobby Bones
She's got time, but. But it's moving quick.
Lexi Brown
Okay. Jeanette in California would like to know how your mom and brother is.
Bobby Bones
Oh, thanks for asking, Jeanette. They're good. You know what's crazy is I didn't talk about this, but my mom fell.
Lexi Brown
No.
Bobby Bones
Right before Christmas. She slipped on some, like. So she lives on her own. And she was, like, walking into her house, and I guess she slipped on a puddle of, like, rain, and she hit the back of her head. And we're like, oh, my gosh. It's like we were all so worried again because, like, that's just what happened to my dad. And so she ended up being okay. My sister took her to the hospital, and she was fine. She was dizzy.
Lexi Brown
Concussion.
Bobby Bones
I don't know. I don't know if it was a concussion, but she was dizzy for a few weeks. She was dizzy through Christmas. Like, there was one day while we were down there for Christmas where she was just dizzy. She couldn't get out of bed because anytime she'd get up, she got too dizzy. But she's doing great. She's doing better with that. And mentally she's doing better, you know, still really hard for her. My bro is killing it. My bro's doing great.
Lexi Brown
He's still in Pennsylvania.
Bobby Bones
He's still in Pennsylvania. He's just trying right now. I think his biggest obstacle is to get up to speed in his job. Like, he was really good at his job and put post stroke, he kind of got. Had to kind of relearn things. Yeah. And so now he's like, my goal, man, is to just get to where I was at my job. And he's trying, and he's. He's doing really well. He had to change his diet and everything. And he's lost a lot of weight. He looks healthy, looks good.
Lexi Brown
So it was a. It was helpful for him to.
Bobby Bones
It's kind of better. It's kind of one of those, like, life lessons where you're like, I know it sucked and it's scary and it's sad, but I think it was for a good thing because, like, it made you wake up and realize that things had to change.
Lexi Brown
Yeah, those wake up calls suck.
Bobby Bones
They do suck. They do suck. And we need them sometimes. And I think it's. He's really doing well.
Lexi Brown
Oh, good.
Bobby Bones
And I'm proud of him.
Lexi Brown
I could sit here and keep talking to you about this, but we have to keep moving.
Bobby Bones
We do have to keep moving.
Lexi Brown
Please. No, I'm not cutting you off, because I love to keep.
Bobby Bones
I get it. I get it.
Lexi Brown
Okay. Taking a quick break. We'll be right back.
Mariah Rose
2025 is bound to be a fascinating year. It's going to be filled with money challenges and opportunities. I'm Joel.

Bobby Bones
Pants and a red shirt on.
Mariah Rose
Don't go shopping at Target with khaki pants and a red polo shirt on.
Bobby Bones
Switch up.
Lexi Brown
An old lady came up to me.
Mariah Rose
She said, how much for this cream of Wheat? Happy holidays from me, Michael Rapaport. And my gift to you is a free subscription to the I Am Rapaport Stereo podcast where I discuss entertainment, sports, politics, and anything and everything that catches my attention. I am here to call it as I see it. And there's a whole lot of things catching my eyes these days. Here's a clip from one of my favorite episodes. You are not a real fighter. You will never be discussed anywhere in boxing history. Ever. Fake Paul the movie is the Apprentice. And. And the movie is about young Donald Trump and his apprentice, Roy Cohen. Real character, obviously, both real characters. It kind of has a Scarface vibe to it, which I thought was very interesting. Listen to the I Am Rappaport Stereo podcast on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, and wherever you get your podcast. Can you hear it's the whisper of two wolves Inside you. One says, you're not enough. The other says, keep going. You can do this. They're always talking. The one you listen to shapes your life. I'm Eric Zimmer, host of the One youe Feed. On my podcast. We explore how to hear the voice that matters. The one that leads you to courage, wisdom and love. It's not about perfection. It's about direction. Millions of listeners have fed their good wolf. Now it's your turn. Listen to the one you feed on the I Heart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Lexi Brown
Avery would like to know if you're ever going to share your smoked chicken recipe.
Bobby Bones
No. Maybe. I. I don't know.
Lexi Brown
That was a quick note.
Bobby Bones
I don't. Maybe.
Lexi Brown
Yeah, I don't know.
Bobby Bones
I mean, maybe. I think that there are certain goals that I have in life and sharing recipes is one. Like, I do want to start looking in that direction of sharing recipes because I love to cook.
Lexi Brown
It's like a little recipe book.
Bobby Bones
Maybe a recipe book. Maybe a. Maybe like a little. Another Instagram channel. Maybe another TikTok channel or something. Like, I don't know what it is yet, but we're definitely. I'm definitely moving in a direction where I want to start sharing my passion for cooking because I love it. Yeah, I love it. Like that is the one thing that I love to do. And people say like, oh, this is so good. Or have you tried this instead of that? And you're like, no, let me try that. So I love that and I love the whole community of. Of like people on Instagram that cook and people say like, this is good, but do this instead. And then they end up doing that. Or you follow the person that said that and then they have something and then just. It's so cool. Like it's a non stop learning cycle when you like talk to people that love to cook and everyone. People that love to eat.
Lexi Brown
No, you know, it's truddy. Like I was planning to do more food world stuff this year. Cause it's always everybody's favorite stuff. It's just. It's so much work.
Bobby Bones
I know it is.
Lexi Brown
It's not just work just to cook it and do it, but like to film every aspect and edit every aspect and then add the rest.
Bobby Bones
I know it's a lot. So to answer her question, I think that we will get there at some point. Yes.
Lexi Brown
Okay, deal. Who will play guitar at Million Dollar Show? Lisa.
Bobby Bones
That's a good question. Good question, Lisa. Probably me. I mean, if I look at the timeline, that's about seven weeks away, so I should be back hopefully. Hopefully. I mean, I did pick up a guitar the other day just to kind of see, like, I can move my fingers. It's my right hand, so it's my strumming hand. So as long as I can kind of get my wrist back and my motion back, should be pretty good to play for a million dollar show. And let's be real, like, me and Bobby are the least important people in that band.
Lexi Brown
Okay.
Bobby Bones
So we do have backups if we.
Lexi Brown
Need them, just in case.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lexi Brown
What is the workout routine you do with Bobby? Favorite and least favorite thing, Heidi from Atlanta.
Bobby Bones
There is no favorite. There is no favorite. We work with a trainer. His name's Kevin Klug, and he's amazing. But he is mean. He's mean, and his whole purpose is to hurt us. And. And when we think we're doing well, he increases the weight and you feel weaker. And I don't like any of it. Like, I truly don't like any of it. I like how I feel afterwards. Because you're like, ooh, I did a pretty good workout, but I hate doing the workouts. My least favorite are these things called Bulgarians. I think they're Bulgarians.
Lexi Brown
Bulgarian split squats where your leg is back.
Bobby Bones
That crap where you put your leg on a bench and then you do a freaking lunge or some crap. Like, no, get that out of here. Kettle squat, bell squats, or what are they called?
Lexi Brown
Kettlebell swings.
Bobby Bones
Those are stupid, too. No, I'm talking about the freaking goblet squats.
Lexi Brown
Oh, okay.
Bobby Bones
Get that out of here.
Lexi Brown
You don't like a goblet squat?
Mariah Rose
No.
Lexi Brown
What about burpees?
Bobby Bones
Burpees are stupid.
Lexi Brown
Okay, okay.
Bobby Bones
Like, they're all so dumb. We even do the we. He bought this hundred pound ball where, like, we have to pick it up and throw it over our shoulder like 10 times. Yeah, no. He does this thing called a wounded bear crawl. You ever heard of that? Yeah, F that thing. That thing's stupid. I hate it all. Morgan.
Lexi Brown
So I'm go guessing you're the one who's complaining the whole time and you're like, I don't want to do this, and then you come. Okay, I feel bad.
Bobby Bones
I don't complain about it. I just do it. And then I come on the podcast and complain about it.
Lexi Brown
Okay, so we got it out here. So not no favorite things?
Bobby Bones
No.
Lexi Brown
Okay, last question. And I'm probably gonna butcher this moon. Come on, Menud.
Bobby Bones
Come on, Menudo, Menudo, Menudo. Yeah.
Lexi Brown
And pozzolo.
Bobby Bones
Pozzolo.
Lexi Brown
They asked menudo or pozzolo.
Bobby Bones
I don't know what pozolo is.
Lexi Brown
I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Maybe I should know. But It's Menudo, like 100%.
Lexi Brown
Let's see. Oh. Oh, I see it. It's a traditional soup or stew from Mexican cuisine. It's made from. Gosh, why is there so many words I can't pronounce?
Bobby Bones
What is it?
Lexi Brown
Hominy.
Bobby Bones
Hominy.
Lexi Brown
Hominy with meat and can be seasoned and garnished with shredded lettuce or cabbage, chili peppers, onion, garlic, radishes, avocado.
Bobby Bones
I mean, the way we make menudo is fat stomach lining.
Lexi Brown
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Cow stomach lining.
Lexi Brown
Gross.
Bobby Bones
With hominy, which is like a kind of corn. A big kind of corn. So, like, I guess we kind of do a hybrid pozole I've heard of. Or pozola, Whatever it is. I've heard of it, but I don't think I've ever really had that, especially with a cabbage mix in it. So I'm going to go menudo. I mean, 100%, because that is like. I love menudo.
Lexi Brown
Okay.
Bobby Bones
With flour tortillas, man. And put some lime in it. So freaking good.
Lexi Brown
Well, there you go. And I'm also very sorry. I just butchered the crap out of all of those words.
Bobby Bones
Would you like some menudo? I can make some for you. Menudo Madudo.
Lexi Brown
Menudo sounds weird. Okay, we gotta get out of here. But, Eddie, thanks for being here.
Bobby Bones
Thank you, Morgan.
Lexi Brown
Bye, everybody.
