Or dsw.com how crispy are the new Delimex Crispy Quesadillas? Let's see. I'm gonna pop one in the microwave.
Eddie
Yeah.
Morgan
Delimix Crispy Quesadillas are crispy even from a microwave. I can already smell it. Heads up. If you hate loud crunching, you might wanna mute.
Hoda Kotb
Mmm. So crispy.
Morgan
Like, barely hear myself think crispy. These should come with a warning.
Eddie
Mmm.
Morgan
If this crispiness is making you hungry, get to your closest grocery store. For deli Mex. Crispy quesadillas in the frozen aisle.
Hoda Kotb
Best bits of the week with Morgan.
Lisa
It's listener Q and A time where.
Hoda Kotb
Morgan and a show member answer almost all your questions.
Eddie
Are you ready?
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
Listener Q and A time.
Hoda Kotb
I'm ready.
Eddie
You're ready?
Hoda Kotb
I'm ready.
Eddie
Ready, Freddie, Eddie.
Hoda Kotb
Locked and loaded. Yes. Ready, Freddie, Eddie.
Eddie
If you wanna know what that means, you'll listen to part one. Okay, listeners, questions, answers from Eddie. But starting out with shout outs, sending warm thoughts this holiday season, the first without your dad, Cheryl in Sacramento.
Hoda Kotb
Oh, thank you, Cheryl.
Eddie
Very sweet. I like your sweater. Haters gonna hate.
Hoda Kotb
Haters gonna hate.
Eddie
This from Eva Evans.
Hoda Kotb
What did you think?
Eddie
I told you I didn't. I literally didn't think anything about it.
Hoda Kotb
You were the only one that didn't laugh at me.
Eddie
I didn't. I never commented.
Hoda Kotb
Yes, yes, you did.
Eddie
But then at the end, Bobby and I said, okay, well, now that we're bringing it up. Yeah. I mean, yeah, it's like Bobby, he's been wearing his sweaters, but. Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
So stupid.
Eddie
But it's only because you started wearing it. If you had worn it before Bobby did a sweater thing, I really wouldn't have thought talking about it, but I.
Hoda Kotb
Would have never gotten it. Like, I didn't buy that sweater.
Eddie
I know.
Hoda Kotb
And it makes me upset because I'm telling everyone that I did not buy it. So stop saying that. I'm trying to not you.
Eddie
You're saying it like me.
Hoda Kotb
I'm talking to the people that keep saying you look like. Trying to look like Bobby. I did not buy it. It was a gift from my friend George Burge. And after we played golf, he said, dude, look what I got you. And I said, thank you. It's a sweater. I don't know if I'll ever be able to pull that off, but I will try.
Eddie
I do think you can pull it off. Like the segment aside, I do think he pulled it off. And I did not prep anything and I did not say anything in person.
Hoda Kotb
Thank you.
Eddie
So thank you for not only shared an opinion when I was asked for one.
Hoda Kotb
And you know what? That's our job.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
Like, I would have done the same.
Eddie
Yeah. And it was just like, yeah. Yeah. Now that I think about it. Yeah. Of course, like, that is kind of similar, but did I think anything in that moment? No.
Hoda Kotb
And now, like, I see it in my closet, I'm like, I'm not going to wear that thing again.
Eddie
No, you should.
Hoda Kotb
Although I do like it.
Eddie
You should be like, Lunchbox and wear the hoodie all the time.
Hoda Kotb
Now he wears the hoodie.
Eddie
He does. So, like, just wear the sweater all the time. It'll be a point of conversation. Thank you for raising your boys right. Love what you said. Last best bits.
Hoda Kotb
I wonder what I said.
Eddie
We were talking about raising them and how you were raising them, like, to be respectful to women.
Hoda Kotb
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Eddie
How you hope, like, they. They do things in the right way. That's how you're trying to raise them. Yeah, if you remember correctly.
Hoda Kotb
Yes. I mean, that is how I would try to raise them.
Eddie
So.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, I remember that.
Eddie
Yeah. Always love hearing about Eddie's children. Enjoy your podcast together, Kathy. Well, Kathy, we had a whole first part of part one where we talked about him.
Hoda Kotb
We did.
Eddie
So go check that out.
Hoda Kotb
So, yeah, you got to listen to that.
Eddie
Yeah. And also, thank you. That's very sweet. I love when Eddie is on. The last bits with him was amazing. He's so kind. Aw, See, they love when you come on.
Hoda Kotb
I love that. I love being on Eddie. No, stop. I love being on there on this, but it's just difficult to find time.
Eddie
I know.
Hoda Kotb
For both of us.
Eddie
It is, it is.
Hoda Kotb
I mean, you have to. You're the one that has to do it every week. So, like, you do you have it plotted out to where, like, I do it this day?
Eddie
No, everybody's different.
Hoda Kotb
Exactly.
Eddie
I have to do everybody's different goal.
Hoda Kotb
Because everyone's got different schedules.
Eddie
That's why I come up like a dog with a tail between your legs.
Hoda Kotb
I.
Savannah Guthrie
Sorry.
Eddie
Okay. Dream vacation spot. Emily from Connecticut.
Hoda Kotb
Come on, it's the beach somewhere, for sure.
Eddie
Which beach? You got to get specific here.
Hoda Kotb
Well, I mean, should it be a beach that I've never been to? Because I'd like to go to Fiji someday.
Eddie
Okay.
Hoda Kotb
I don't even have a passport, but.
Eddie
I don't think it has to be one you've been to.
Hoda Kotb
But, like, I mean, Hawaii is my favorite because I've been there and I've. I've explored Hawaii and I know the potentials of Hawaii and like, the different places in Hawaii, but I don't know, man. I see pictures of Fiji and, you know, Australia and New Zealand, like just certain little islands out there. Look, Tahiti looks cool to me. What's the one where real? Yeah. What you think was just a shampoo?
Eddie
No, I Moana.
Hoda Kotb
She's Hawaiian.
Eddie
Yeah, but it's Tahiti is. Where is the island? Is it Tahiti?
Hoda Kotb
Do they say that?
Eddie
Yes.
Hoda Kotb
No, I think it's a made up island. Look it up.
Eddie
No, no, no.
Hoda Kotb
Look it up, because I just saw Moana, too.
Eddie
Her name's Tahiti. The island is Tahiti. Moana. Tahiti.
Hoda Kotb
Why?
Eddie
I would not just make that up.
Hoda Kotb
I think it's.
Eddie
Yeah. Tahini.
Hoda Kotb
So, okay, so it's made up.
Eddie
No.
Hoda Kotb
How do you. How do you spell it?
Eddie
T A, H, I, T, I. Oh, so she's.
Hoda Kotb
So that's where she is. Moana in the movie.
Eddie
I think so. Hold on. I'm getting a bunch of things popping up. Yeah. Tahiti's biggest island. Tahiti was the inspiration for Te Fiti.
Hoda Kotb
Te Fiti because it's a fictional island.
Eddie
Dang. That really threw me off teacher.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
Okay. Same, same, same. But different.
Hoda Kotb
Okay, you know what? I'll go to Moana's island because her island looks freaking awesome.
Eddie
Yeah, right?
Hoda Kotb
Like, any of those islands are so cool. I just like the beach, man. I want to go back to Puerto Rico someday because there is an island there called. It is called Flamenco beach is the beach that I went to. But the island is called Culebra. C U L E B R A Culebra. And it is the most beautiful place I've ever been to in my life. And it's isolated. No tourists. Mostly locals. And it looks like out of a movie. It's so pretty.
Eddie
No, I feel like you could easily do that one.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
An easy trip.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
It's so close.
Hoda Kotb
Totally. It's close. You can fly from, like, cal. From Florida for, like, cheap.
Eddie
You need to go to. Since you love beaches, you need to go to Grand Cayman. That's my favorite beach in the world.
Hoda Kotb
Is that Bahamas?
Eddie
Grand Cayman Islands.
Hoda Kotb
I might be part of Bahamas. Maybe.
Eddie
I think it's separated. I think it's its own. Its own is Grand Cayman. Bahamas.
Hoda Kotb
I've heard. I've heard of Grand.
Eddie
I think it's just Caribbean.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, it was just Caribbean.
Eddie
Cayman Islands are in Caribbean, not the Bahamas.
Hoda Kotb
Sounds awesome.
Eddie
It's. It's. And I think they're called the U.S. u.S.
Hoda Kotb
Islands.
Eddie
Why. Why am I talking about.
Hoda Kotb
Is it U. S. Virgin Islands?
Eddie
No, it's different. Okay, I. Like I said, don't ask me for geography, but, no, they're not the Bahamas. It's in the Caribbean. And it is the best. The water is clear. You can see your feet straight through it.
Hoda Kotb
Pretty amazing.
Eddie
And the sand is white and so soft, and it's so, so beautiful.
Hoda Kotb
Like, that's what I'm talking about. And, like, you hear Bobby and, like, everyone talking about, like, what do you do at the beach. Like, I can literally just walk in that water and just look like you. Like, you're talking about marine biologists in the last podcast. Like, there's so much life down there. Like, snorkeling is amazing. Just to see, like.
Eddie
So you want to do scuba diving in the Great Barrier reef with me?
Hoda Kotb
100%. I would do that in a heartbeat. Would you go see great whites in a cage? Yeah, like, that would be amazing.
Eddie
Yeah, put me in a cage. You know what? I deserve it because all those animals get put in cage. Don't put them. Put me in the cage so I can go see you.
Hoda Kotb
You punish yourself.
Eddie
I just mean, like, they don't need.
Hoda Kotb
To be in it.
Eddie
Put me in it so I can see them.
Hoda Kotb
I want to see a shark in a cage. I want to be in their territory. But protect me, please.
Eddie
Yeah, but see, if we go scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, you do see sharks down there, correct? Scuba diving.
Hoda Kotb
Correct. I'm all about it.
Eddie
Okay.
Hoda Kotb
Yes.
Eddie
I think we could get, like, a.
Hoda Kotb
A sponsorship.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
And that's how we, like, are finally able to go. And then you're the one.
Hoda Kotb
You're the one getting all these, like, work trips. Do that.
Eddie
Okay, I'll see. I'll see.
Hoda Kotb
If I scuba trip excursion with Eddie and Morgan.
Eddie
I am trying to get more traveling stuff. I love traveling.
Hoda Kotb
I do, too.
Eddie
It's so much fun. Okay, if you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Hoda Kotb
Superpower? I would do light speed. I don't like. I don't like the time it takes to get places. So, like, I want to get there, like, boom, I'm at work. I want to be the Flash. I'll be like, although, what show is that where, like, you can, like, run into people and kill them?
Eddie
Oh, the boys.
Hoda Kotb
The boys. See, that opened my mind. That, like.
Eddie
I'm sorry. You want to be that super pair.
Hoda Kotb
No, no, no. It's not that. It's just that, like, you think, like, oh, I want to be, like, super fast, right? Yeah. But if someone's in your way, you just kill them. That's terrible.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
So, like, I want to not do. Do it that way.
Eddie
You want to be a Flash. Flash doesn't kill people by running into him.
Hoda Kotb
How does Flash even get from A to B, though?
Eddie
He runs.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, I know. But boys is just taking it one more level. Like, do you realize that Flash, you're going to kill someone if you don't slow down?
Eddie
It's light speed, But Flash has, like, the awareness that he's not running into people.
Hoda Kotb
Oh, so he can zigzag?
Eddie
Yeah, he zigzags a lot.
Hoda Kotb
Okay, so you can be a flash. I can be Flash. But more than, like, running out, just, like, maybe, like, I'm there.
Eddie
I mean, that's technically what it is.
Hoda Kotb
How about teleport?
Eddie
Okay, teleport would probably be safer. You're not killing anybody.
Hoda Kotb
I'm at work. I'm back home in my bed.
Eddie
Okay, teleporting.
Hoda Kotb
Like, I hate driving to work.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
Like, I hate driving my kids to practice. Like, I love practice. I love taking them to games. I hate getting there.
Eddie
No, that's fair.
Hoda Kotb
Like, we're talking about the beach. We're scuba diving. Morgan, let's go.
Eddie
We would have to get off flight.
Hoda Kotb
No, none of that.
Eddie
Forever. I think that's why mine would be flying, so I can get to places quickly.
Hoda Kotb
Flying would be awesome.
Eddie
And so I can travel all the time really quickly.
Hoda Kotb
But don't you think, like, it'd be cold up there?
Eddie
I mean, it'd be. It'd be cold in a teleport. Eddie, if we're talking about, like, that's really.
Hoda Kotb
Milliseconds. I'm only cold for a millisecond.
Eddie
If I fly like Superman, it's gonna be, like, two seconds.
Hoda Kotb
Well, you got to specify. You can't be like, no. Superman didn't fly fast.
Eddie
Yes, he does.
Hoda Kotb
It took him forever. And he's like. He's in the sky with birds and everything.
Eddie
Flies at light speed, the same as flying.
Hoda Kotb
Superman does not fly at. At light speed. Oh, my gosh. How many times are you going to Google what we're talking about?
Eddie
Because you keep making me question.
Hoda Kotb
But you know what? You've been wrong. You're wrong about Moana, okay? And I'm telling you right now, Superman does not fly at light speed.
Eddie
How fast does Superman fly?
Hoda Kotb
Okay, it's not real.
Eddie
Oh, it says he's able to fly. Superman's flying speed. We're both correct. Has increased over the years.
Hoda Kotb
Oh, give me a break.
Eddie
And he's now able to travel at speeds that are much faster than the speed of sound.
Hoda Kotb
Oh, Google. Is this AI?
Eddie
Yeah, it's AI.
Hoda Kotb
Stop it. We haven't seen that movie. Nah, in any.
Eddie
I have all the new ones. He flies so, so fast.
Hoda Kotb
The new ones, maybe. I'm. Okay.
Eddie
You're. You're literally thinking about, like, the 80s.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Eddie
That's why I say, over time, clearly, it's James.
Hoda Kotb
Okay, fine.
Eddie
Superman has evolved, okay?
Hoda Kotb
And you expect him to. Right. Cause he's Superman.
Eddie
He is.
Hoda Kotb
And it's not real. So you can do whatever you want.
Eddie
Okay, we're moving on. If you're stranded on a beach, what meal would you pick to eat every day?
Hoda Kotb
A fish. Like, I'm on a beach.
Eddie
Okay, but like, you could choose anything.
Hoda Kotb
Well, honestly, I can eat pizza every day.
Eddie
Okay, then you can choose pizza. I just don't know where it's coming from.
Hoda Kotb
But yeah, right. I'm on an island. I don't know where the pizza's coming from. Is Pizza Hut delivering it?
Eddie
Because I'll do pizza by drone. Yeah, but then technically you shouldn't be stranded because the drone.
Hoda Kotb
Correct. Then I would just hitch a ride with the drone. Get me out of here. I think we're too realistic with all these questions.
Eddie
You know, I have thought about this though, because if I do ever get stranded somewhere, I'm eating berries.
Hoda Kotb
Like, from the land.
Eddie
Because, like, what are my other options?
Hoda Kotb
You can't though, because, like, you understand there are berries that will kill you.
Eddie
I know.
Hoda Kotb
And then what I always think when.
Eddie
I'm in the woods, but, like, you were never gonna catch me taking a giant bite out of a fish. That's how I want to vomit just thinking about that.
Hoda Kotb
Timeout, timeout. You're a vegetarian. You're a vegan.
Eddie
Vegetarian.
Hoda Kotb
Vegetarian. You're a vegetarian. If you were stuck on an island with no trees, no bushes, no berries, just fish, would you eat it? You have to.
Eddie
I mean, I think I'd have to, but, like, I. I don't even know that my body could. I think it would. No, no, no. Because when I've eaten meat, it's literally like compulsive. Like, my body literally vomits.
Hoda Kotb
Your throat doesn't want it. Or your stomach.
Eddie
All of it. Like, my body rejects it, really. So I think if I took a bite out of fish, my body.
Hoda Kotb
So you just die. You just die. You'd be dead.
Eddie
So I'm gonna have to, like, stock up on some naan. I'm just gonna have to start carrying non toxic berries with me wherever I go.
Hoda Kotb
Do you always. Do you carry food with you?
Eddie
Not always.
Hoda Kotb
I always carry food with me.
Eddie
You do always have your bananas and your eggs.
Hoda Kotb
I always have food with me somewhere.
Eddie
Would you wear the hair system for a year if it meant.
Hoda Kotb
No, no, don't even finish the question.
Eddie
If it meant the Cowboys won the Super Bowl. Yes.
Hoda Kotb
For a year. Yes. And you know what's funny about the hair system?
Eddie
Yeah. You brought it to the new studio. Don't remind me.
Hoda Kotb
It's there. Yeah, it's there now. No, what's funny about. I can see. I see people wearing it all the time now, and I can tell.
Eddie
Really?
Hoda Kotb
Yes. There was a referee. I was watching basketball last night, and there was a referee where I'm like, you're wearing a hair system. I could see it.
Eddie
That's funny.
Hoda Kotb
That's funny because it's like, you recognize it now because I did it, and I know what it takes to fix it, and I know what it takes to make it look normal or kind of like how different it looks because it looks real. Right. But if you really, really pay attention, you can tell that it's not real.
Eddie
That's so funny.
Hoda Kotb
So that's funny. I can see people now. I see people. I see people all the time. Morgan, all the time. And I nudge my wife. I'm like, look, he's wearing a hair system.
Eddie
You know, it's funny how that happens where something happens to you or like, you buy a new car, and then now all of a sudden, everyone has that car.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
It's weird how that happens. Like, the likeness imagery that we.
Hoda Kotb
A shift in our brains where we're.
Eddie
Like, now, you know, exists.
Hoda Kotb
We never even thought about looking for that, and now it's everywhere.
Eddie
Okay.
Hoda Kotb
You know, it's.
Eddie
Well, he would wear it for a Super bowl win.
Hoda Kotb
People say that about, like, humor, too. Like. Like, our job's kind of hard, right? Because, like, we have to, you know, come up with stories every week, every day, prep stories. But, like, I tell people because people ask me, tell them, like, how do you come up with stuff? Like, talk about, if you walk in the world, you're going to find funny things.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Hoda Kotb
And interesting things everywhere you go. Like, everywhere you go, there is something funny to talk about. Like, I saw this person do this, or, oh, my gosh, this happened. You just have to pay attention because.
Eddie
Thank you for saying this.
Hoda Kotb
Why?
Eddie
Because everybody's always like, how do all these things always happen to Morgan? They're all lies. And I'm like, they're not lies. I just actually actively participate in the world.
Hoda Kotb
Correct. You have to be looking, though, and you have to constantly be like, oh, that's funny. Let me write that down. Oh, wow. Like, for example, we went to the vet. I went to the. I took my dog to the vet.
Eddie
And is your dog okay?
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, it was just. It was. She needed, like, vaccines or whatever.
Eddie
Okay.
Hoda Kotb
And so the vet's checking her, and she's going, oh, she's Talking to the dog, right? And she's going like, oh, you do. Pretty doggy, doggy. How's your appetite? Are you eating well? Are you still hungry? Yes, you're hungry. But I'm sitting there like, is she asking me or the dog? Who is she asking? Because she's not looking at me and she's not waiting for an answer. And then she'll be like, oh, oh, your water. Like, oh, you're drinking lots of water still, aren't you? Yes. You're hydrated. Are you hydrated?
Eddie
She was in her doggy voice. You should know better about that.
Hoda Kotb
I get it. But I'm like, shouldn't you be asking me how she's drinking water? Like, I'm here. I'm ready to be asked. But she never asked me anything. Like, oh, you itchy. Do you have to scratch your little. You have to scratch your fur? Your. Oh, no, your fur looks good. Your fur looks good.
Eddie
So they were rhetorical questions. She was just trying to.
Hoda Kotb
So it was like. It was funny. Like, just little things like that where, you know, it's like, this is really funny. Like, vets are different. They talk to dogs. And, like, you know what? They don't even need the human.
Eddie
Do you not have a dog voice for your dog?
Hoda Kotb
No, I do. I do. But it like, the vet's adopted.
Eddie
I'm saying, the funny thing about it, I just mean, like, do you have a dog voice for your dog? So you hear like your pettigrew.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, Cheddar girl.
Eddie
Everybody's voice changes when they talk to their pets. Yeah, that's so funny. See, we're just actively participating in the world. Also, we have to, because otherwise we would have no funny stories to share with you.
Hoda Kotb
But I think you would do that anyway, like, with your friends. Yeah, like, don't you do that anyway? Like, oh, my gosh. You guys will never believe this.
Eddie
Yeah, no, I am. I am an act. I'm just a very hyper aware person.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
Like, when I'm out in public, I'm not on my phone. I try and be very aware of what's happening around me.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
So you see more things.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, you do.
Eddie
You're not wrong. Okay, we'll be right back. We're going to take a quick break. And yes, he'd wear the hair system for a win.
Hoda Kotb
Cowboys, anything looking for excitement.

Hoda Kotb
Mmm. So crispy.
Morgan
Like, barely hear myself think crispy. These should come with a warning.
Eddie
Mmm.

Eddie
What age kid is hardest to parent and why.
Hoda Kotb
I think the teenage years are tough just cause you know what they're doing, you know, well, you did it.
Eddie
But. And how feeling yours is. I thought you thought he was like.
Hoda Kotb
No, he's really good. But like he's, you know, like I think the hard part is when they get friends and you want them to have good friends, good influences, but yet you really can't control that.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
So they're going to like, they're going to gravitate who they gravitate to. They're going to be friends with whoever they're friends with. You just have to kind of like watch and make sure that their, those friends aren't leading them in the wrong direction or if they're good friends for him. So like, that's really tricky. But also too, like, I was that age too, so I know what he's thinking, I know what he's going through. And I can't really be like, yeah, dude, me too. I snuck some drinks in. Like I do. I smoke cigarettes sometimes, you know, like, but I can't do that. Although, like, I want to be like, yeah, I still have to be like, don't do that.
Eddie
Mm.
Hoda Kotb
Don't do that.
Eddie
Yeah, well, because you're the only.
Hoda Kotb
You'Re.
Eddie
The only perspective he has right now as far as like what it can look like later.
Hoda Kotb
Sure.
Eddie
You know what I mean? He has a perspective of right now. You have the history and the experience to say, yes, I've done that and yes, that's probably fine. But also this could go this way.
Hoda Kotb
It's tricky because my family and my wife's family both have alcoholics. Luckily we don't have that gene where like we have one drink and we have to have 30. But like we have family members close, close family members that do and it's completely changed their lives in a bad, bad way. My wife has those family members too. So we're just worried, like we don't know what that Is it's like Bobby talks about all the time. Like. Yeah, he probably has that gene. He doesn't know, so he's want to risk it. So, like, with my kids, like, I like normalizing stuff, like going out and alcohol and all that, because it's normal, but I also don't want them to do it too early, you know?
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
And so that's the hard part. Finding the parenting, all the other stuff, the little kid stuff, like, that's pretty easy.
Eddie
Yeah. Where it starts to become real life.
Hoda Kotb
Real life is the teenage years.
Eddie
Mm.
Hoda Kotb
Yes. And when he's driving, especially the importance of, like, do not drink.
Eddie
Like, if you're driving or texting and driving, wearing your seatbelt.
Hoda Kotb
All of that stuff. And it's so scary because the consequences could be so, so bad.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
Real sorry.
Eddie
I didn't ask that one.
Hoda Kotb
No, I get it.
Eddie
Any lasting pain from your big walk, Lisa in Illinois?
Hoda Kotb
Oh, yeah. Lisa. Yes. I have a heel now.
Eddie
You did at least a.
Hoda Kotb
My left heel completely hurts. Like, not every day, but if I play basketball or, like, do anything, like, for more than an hour or, like, more than 30 minutes, like, I like. Me and my kids, we like playing basketball, like, full court.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
And I know it. As soon as I do that, my heel's going to. That injury's gonna be activated. It's not a bunion. I don't know. It's like, the tendon underneath my heel.
Eddie
Is it the bunion like, the back of your foot? Am I making that up? I'm not good for.
Hoda Kotb
I honestly don't know what a bunion is. I've heard of it, but I don't know what it is. I don't think. Here we go.
Eddie
Google it. Google it. What is a bunion?
Hoda Kotb
But, like, Bobby wants to play pickleball all the time, and I love it, and I have a really good time playing pickleball, but after we play pickleball, I'm like, yep, the heel's gonna get activated, and I can't walk on it as soon as I get home.
Eddie
Okay. You don't have a bunion.
Hoda Kotb
What is the bunion?
Eddie
A bunion is a bony bum that forms on the inside of the foot at the base of the big toe.
Hoda Kotb
Nah.
Eddie
So wrong area.
Hoda Kotb
No. No bunion.
Eddie
Okay.
Hoda Kotb
There's no bump or anything. It's just like. I think it's just. I don't know. But. But I did talk to Scuba the other day, though. Like, we should do it again. I don't know.
Eddie
Why would you ask for it again? If you have lasting pain because, like.
Hoda Kotb
The whatever we do it for is always so amazing.
Eddie
Well, yeah, that's amazing. But also, you can't keep taking the toll on your body.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, I'm just walking.
Eddie
You're just walking. But you just described an injury that you still have.
Hoda Kotb
We were like, should we do like Amarillo by morning? You know, like, and then Scuba's like, how are we gonna walk from San Antonio to amarillo? That's like 15 hours driving. So I'm like, yeah, let's think of something else. I don't know.
Eddie
No, I. You're gonna have to come up with someone that. Maybe a little bit shorter.
Hoda Kotb
Gosh, that was so much fun though. That walk was so much fun.
Eddie
It was a cool. It was a cool thing to witness. So. Yeah, I do agree. You should do it again. Just maybe.
Hoda Kotb
Maybe a little shorter.
Eddie
Find some better shoes. Christmas gift idea for kids of all ages that. Of all ages that are not video games. Millie in Florida.
Hoda Kotb
Oh, she wants ideas.
Eddie
Yeah. You got any that aren't video games?
Hoda Kotb
Are they boys or girls? What do they say? Any.
Eddie
Anything for kids of all ages.
Hoda Kotb
For kids of all ages. That's tough, man. What we really do is just give them like old school catalog. Like, we just give them all the catalogs. Like, what do you want? You want Toys R Us? I don't think Toys are us. The thing, Target. Okay, whatever.
Eddie
They also make catalogs.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah. Like, you know how they send that stuff in the mail?
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
And then just give it to them or even go online. Go online and screenshot like what you want.
Eddie
And they'll have them tell you what they want.
Hoda Kotb
And they'll Send back like 20 things. Like. Yep. Narrow that down. And then you have to narrow it down. Not video games. I mean, this is expensive. But a ping pong table is really cool.
Eddie
That is cool.
Hoda Kotb
A ping pong table is really cool.
Eddie
I do feel like anything you can find on Amazon, that's a kind of sport related activity. They make a lot of cool things now.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
Like there's even game, like table games that you can play. That stuff's fun.
Hoda Kotb
That stuff is fun. So I feel like games are cool. We have this. I don't know where we got this from, but like there are these like little. Little golf holes. They're not holes, but like they're just kind of like little targets.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
And it has a little like a golf flag stuck on like a plastic golf flag. I think it's like $10. Really? It's not expensive. And you can put them all over your house. And, like, the kids love doing that in the house. Like, just.
Eddie
It's like your own mini golf.
Hoda Kotb
It's putt, putt. And you can do it as challenging as you want, so that's kind of cool. And that was, like, really, really cheap. I'm talking, like, 10 bucks.
Eddie
Okay. Is it going on Amazon?
Hoda Kotb
No, I think we got that Target.
Eddie
Okay. Target. Or possibly. Yeah, Last one piece of advice. We've got a lady named Anna from Oklahoma. She loves us and she. The best way to slide into a guy's DM on Instagram.
Hoda Kotb
Well, that's all you go for.
Eddie
Yeah. But I feel like it'd be funny for us to have both have our perspective. So from a dude, how do you.
Hoda Kotb
Slide into a guy's Instagram? Just do it. Okay, so as the guy. As the guy. And you get a DM from a girl. Like, already it's. You're interested. Like, a guy's like, we're easy, man. Cool chick. What's up? Open it. Like, I think we're just easy. You just have to do it.
Eddie
Yeah, I do think there's a just do it level to it also. There can also be a strategy if you're a little nervous and now you're talking to gauge some interest. If that's.
Hoda Kotb
What do you mean? Because I'm telling you, they are interested.
Eddie
Yeah, you say that, but, like, it's more complicated now. It just is.
Hoda Kotb
What do you mean?
Eddie
Guys are. Guys aren't that simple anymore.
Hoda Kotb
They're not that easy.
Eddie
No, they're complicated. And you guys are. Admit it. You guys are complicated. You just. It's a whole thing.
Hoda Kotb
We're just stupid.
Eddie
Like, yes, but, like, also no. So I think.
Hoda Kotb
Explain what you mean.
Eddie
I think now dating is in such an interesting place where nobody really wants to do it, so nobody, like, is as actively, like, jumping on going out with people anymore. You know what I mean? Like, they've seen the consequences of dating, and they're like, yeah, never mind. Okay, don't put me there.
Hoda Kotb
Okay.
Eddie
So they might see it, and they just might be over. And they're like, I don't want to deal with it.
Hoda Kotb
Okay.
Eddie
So I think there's that level.
Hoda Kotb
Okay.
Eddie
That has existed now, maybe not before. I do think guys still have this level of, you know, the caveman mentality as you guys.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, totally.
Eddie
That still exists. It's just a different version now. It's a little bit more complicated.
Hoda Kotb
Is it? Does it look like you're desperate? Okay, well, do you feel as the woman.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
Do you feel like you're gonna maybe look desperate if you send them a dm?
Eddie
No, I lost that a long time ago. I don't have. I don't really have a fear of rejection or I don't really have like, what are you gonna think about me mentality.
Hoda Kotb
Good.
Eddie
I don't really have those.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, screw em.
Eddie
I just do what I wanna do.
Hoda Kotb
Right. You like me or you don't.
Eddie
Whatever. I move on with my life.
Hoda Kotb
Exactly.
Eddie
Very do it for the plot ment mentality. Like whatever. But there can be a strategy to easy go into this. So make sure you follow him on Instagram. If you get a reciprocation, follow great sign. Okay, this is like somebody totally random. Say this is somebody totally random that you found on Instagram.
Hoda Kotb
But not always a sign because sometimes people just don't follow other people.
Eddie
It's true. But that's. That's a whole great sign. Right? They fall back. That's a great sign that you can move a little bit quicker.
Hoda Kotb
Okay.
Eddie
If not, that's still fine. But then you can kind of start liking their stories. Making sure you're popping up on their Instagram stories with a little heart, you know? See, this is a long game.
Hoda Kotb
Their strategy to this, no comments, just heart.
Eddie
Hearts are where it starts.
Hoda Kotb
Not like haha. Oh, that's funny.
Eddie
Yeah. Then if something you really like or something you can really engage with. Yes.
Hoda Kotb
You respond, oh my gosh, I do that too.
Eddie
Yeah, or like something that they can respond back to. Not a whole like haha. Because they can't respond.
Hoda Kotb
Okay.
Eddie
You can say like haha. I do that too. This is what I do. You have to create that engaging conversation. If you're just responding by saying like, haha. What am I going to say? Yeah, haha.
Hoda Kotb
But that does, that does like, do the whole like, look at me.
Eddie
It does, but that's, that's the beginning. This is the strategy. So like, if you're easing into this, you're following and then you're going to heart some things, and then you may start replying to some things. And then if you feel like you're getting some reciprocation from that activity of replying to things, then you start to go in for the kill. Then you're like, hey, like, I find you super attractive. Any chance you want to go for.
Hoda Kotb
A drink while you ask him for that?
Eddie
Well, if he's not leading into it. If you're if that. Because back to guys are simple. They may not pick up that. That's what you're doing.
Hoda Kotb
Because we're not simple, we're stupid.
Eddie
Okay, you said I didn't like it.
Hoda Kotb
This pretty girl just likes my stories.
Eddie
Yeah, but you guys generally would be like, okay, she likes it. Cool. Whatever.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, totally.
Eddie
So sometimes we have to nudge you in the direction.
Hoda Kotb
Yes.
Eddie
So if we say that, go for drinks, and then you've planted the seed. But that's an easy way to go into it. If you just want to, like, shoot your shot and don't ease into it. You just go for it. Send it. Send it. Like Eddie says. Just do it. Like, literally, just go the message. Be like, hey, I find you super attractive. I would love to grab a drink with you. Just be direct, point confident.
Hoda Kotb
What about the phone option? Like, you seen that phone option?
Eddie
Which one?
Hoda Kotb
On Instagram. Like, where you follow someone and you can call them.
Eddie
Oh, don't do that.
Hoda Kotb
But, like, have you ever done that?
Eddie
I've never done that, but I've had guys do it and it's weird.
Hoda Kotb
Call you.
Eddie
I'll get like a 1am some dude who follows me, thinks he's funny because he's drunk or whatever.
Hoda Kotb
That's what I would do.
Eddie
Exactly. Don't do this.
Hoda Kotb
That's what I would do. Like, oh, she's definitely. I think this is funny. Call.
Eddie
No, because why am. One, why am I going to ever answer a random stranger's phone call from a DM on Instagram? And two, what are you doing at 1am that you're calling me a stranger that you don't know?
Hoda Kotb
I'm drinking, thinking about you.
Eddie
Cool.
Savannah Guthrie
But, like, why.
Eddie
That's also creepy. You know what I mean?
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But really, I would just think, like, that'd be funny. As a guy, I would totally be, like, this would be funny. Like, she wouldn't expect this.
Eddie
Okay. It's not funny. And we expect it.
Hoda Kotb
Got it. Loud and clear. Cool.
Eddie
Don't do it. Okay. If you want to, like, message a little bit and then do a call, cool. But you do that out of the blue. Yes. You should see some of my DMs, where I'll literally say, missed call, and they'll have done it, like, once or twice, where they. They even went for it a second time.
Hoda Kotb
Does yours ring?
Eddie
No, but I'll go into my messages, and if I'm.
Hoda Kotb
I.
Eddie
Because I'll look at my message request and it'll be like, missed call. And I'm like, why is it. Who is this? It'll be like a 2am phone call.
Hoda Kotb
Hilarious. See, I think that's so funny.
Eddie
Of course you do. You're a dude. That wasn't Eddie.
Hoda Kotb
I'm a married dude. Like, I just think that's so funny.
Eddie
Oh, my God. Okay, we're done. Eddie.
Hoda Kotb
Okay.
Eddie
Get out of here.
Hoda Kotb
Okay.
Eddie
Tell him where the invite. Okay.
Hoda Kotb
I'll see you guys in six. In six weeks.
Eddie
In six weeks. Yes. And go phone call Eddie on Instagram because he thinks it's funny.
Hoda Kotb
Oh, yeah, Call me, man. You don't pick up? No, I won't pick up. Call me all you want.
Eddie
I'm going to be in your DMs.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, Roosevelt. So, yeah, Instagram, TikTok, hit up that.
Eddie
Instagram DM phone call.
Hoda Kotb
Give me a call whenever you want at producer Eddie.
Eddie
Oh my God.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah. 25 whistles. Too much access on YouTube. We haven't done one in a while though. But there's some stuff up there. It's kind of fun. We got some really good guests on 25 whistles lately. Really good guests.
Eddie
Any I know?
Hoda Kotb
No, probably not.
Eddie
Okay.
Hoda Kotb
Just like head coaches of like big schools.
Eddie
I mean that is cool.
Hoda Kotb
It's really cool.
Eddie
But yeah, I definitely want to know Notre Dame.
Hoda Kotb
You ever heard of that?
Eddie
Yeah, I've heard. I know the schools.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
I don't know any of the names. Any hot coaches? I have seen some hot coaches this year.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah. Good looking coaches.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
It seems to be like they're getting younger.
Eddie
Yeah. So they're getting more attractive.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah. Like we, we interviewed a coach that was 32.
Eddie
Dang.
Hoda Kotb
That's like my age and I'm like 32. And you're a head coach of a freaking college team. Like, that's crazy.
Eddie
Was he married?
Hoda Kotb
I don't know.
Eddie
I need you to start. I need to start scouting for me.
Hoda Kotb
So when we interview sports scouts.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
When we interview him, ask them.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
Like, are you single?
Eddie
Coach, I. I need you to start scouting for me.
Hoda Kotb
Do you like blondes from Wichita, Kansas.
Eddie
Kansas girls. Kansas girls that now live in Nashville.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah.
Eddie
Um, no. Really? I went. You know how to say all that. But like, I want you to start scouting.
Hoda Kotb
Not really. Really? Okay.
Eddie
Because I'm curious. They are getting younger and they are very attractive.
Hoda Kotb
For real.
Eddie
And you guys are having access to them.
Hoda Kotb
What about like, like a Titans coach? Like, I'm sure that like, see like coaches, it's not just the head coach.
Eddie
Yeah.
Hoda Kotb
It's pretty like surprising that this head coach was like that young because he's a head coach. But like there are a lot of younger coaches.
Eddie
Yeah. Oh, I don't.
Hoda Kotb
I Don't.
Eddie
I don't discriminate on the coach. Oh, my gosh. Okay, so, you know, hook me up. Hook a sister up.
Hoda Kotb
Okay, Morgan.
Eddie
That's all I'm saying. Okay. We're gonna get out of here.
Hoda Kotb
Well, this is fun.
Eddie
Thanks for coming on.
Hoda Kotb
Yeah, thanks for having me.

Morgan
