Eddie
Best bits of the week with Morgan. It's listener Q and A time where Morgan and a show member answer almost all your questions.
Morgan
Here we are, listener Q and A. Eddie, you ready for this?
Eddie
I'm ready.
Morgan
We're gonna start with shout outs. Eddie is my favorite, so positive and happy. That's from Lauren.
Eddie
Aw, Lauren. That's so sweet. I think it's cool when people say I'm their favorite, but I kind of got burned when we do meet and greets with Bobby.
Morgan
Yeah.
Eddie
They'd always come to me and they whisper me like, you're my favorite. I'm like, if I'm your favorite, don't whisper it. Let this dude hear you too.
Morgan
Yeah. You're like, say it out loud. Yeah, say it with your chest.
Eddie
So I appreciate that.
Morgan
I love the positive energy Eddie gives off Kelsey from Florida.
Eddie
Thank you, Kelsey.
Morgan
Love the positive energy and happy vibes you both give. This is Gretchen from Idaho.
Eddie
Yeah.
Morgan
Love you both on best bits. The laughter is infectious.
Eddie
Yes, we do laugh a lot.
Morgan
We do. And then we got a nine year old from Houston. Azen says you two are the best duo.
Eddie
There we go.
Morgan
So shout out.
Eddie
See, even nine year olds know what's up.
Morgan
I know. And we're gonna do a little like rapid fire kind of here because I have to go check out, get a little physical thing done. Yeah, no, let's get my blood work done. Healthcare stuff going on.
Eddie
That's. That's nerve wracking.
Morgan
Yeah. But it's okay. It's okay.
Eddie
We'll be sure you're fine.
Morgan
Yeah, hopefully I'm not though, because it'd be cool to have an answer, you know? You know what I mean? It's like they can't show it to. What is Eddie's golf handicap? Morgan, have you ever thought about taking up golf? This is both from Michael.
Eddie
Michael. I'll answer first. I'm a 1415. That's realistic. That's a real handicap. I will tell you though that I'm probably headed north on that because after I broke my arm kind of shooting back in, like, the high 90s and the hundreds, which is, like, pretty average for a golfer. But for the last, I don't know, 10 years of my life, maybe 15 years, I shot in the 80s.
Morgan
Okay, so is that good? I don't know. You might as well be speaking another language to me.
Eddie
So when you look at a golf score, the golf course, they're all different. But most golf courses are par 72s.
Morgan
Okay?
Eddie
That means that that's the amount of strokes that you should probably play. That golf course, like, every swing putts drive. Anytime you hit the ball, that's one stroke. Right? So they're saying, on average, people finish this golf course with 72 strokes. That's an average par score. Okay.
Morgan
Okay.
Eddie
So when you're handicapped, you look at like. So anytime you go over the average, that's another stroke. So when I say I'm 15, I'm on average. This is just. This is not exactly how they do it. But this is just kind of dumb. Dumbing it down.
Morgan
Yeah.
Eddie
I'm saying I'm usually 15 strokes above average.
Morgan
Okay.
Eddie
But since I've broken my arm, I'm probably 20, 22 strokes.
Morgan
What's, like, the best handicap?
Eddie
Oh, like a scratch zero. I mean, that's not the best, but that's, like, really good.
Morgan
Doesn't mean you get, like, a hole in one.
Eddie
No, that means that you're just. You.
Bobby
You're.
Eddie
You're. You play perfect.
Morgan
Okay?
Eddie
You play perfect.
Morgan
That doesn't make any sense in my brain. It's okay. It's right. We attempted, and I really appreciate it.
Eddie
The pros are under. They're always under par.
Morgan
Okay.
Eddie
They're that good.
Morgan
Got it.
Eddie
Okay.
Morgan
Okay.
Eddie
We are not probably. Michael and I, we're probably over. I mean, we're way over par. There you go.
Morgan
Okay.
Eddie
There you go.
Morgan
No, Michael.
Eddie
You know what? Michael and I understand each other.
Morgan
I'm really happy for you guys.
Eddie
We're good.
Morgan
I really love topgolf.
Eddie
Top golf is fun, too.
Morgan
I love that stuff. But, like, I've been on a course maybe twice in my life, and I really enjoy drinking out of the golf cart.
Eddie
That's not all I'm gonna. That's the best part.
Morgan
That's where we are. Caitlin wants to know she got her first wrangler and she loves it, but I wanna get ducked. How does it work?
Eddie
What?
Morgan
Well, Caitlin.
Eddie
It just happens.
Morgan
Yeah. People have to leave it. No, it's not. It's annoying.
Eddie
Yes, it is. It's annoying. I'm like, what's that on my car?
Morgan
Oh, it doesn't make you happy? No, mine always make me happy.
Eddie
And guys don't get a lot of ducks. Girls get all the ducks.
Morgan
I leave. I don't know. I don't know what you guys are talking about with that, because, like, I see a Jeep, and I just leave a duck.
Eddie
Now, I think it's code for supplement the. The D with an F. Yes, it is. Take the D, turn it in an F, and that's what it is.
Morgan
I have ducked so many people, and I have no idea who drives that car.
Eddie
Morgan, you shouldn't admit that.
Morgan
Okay, Anyways, kill it. It just happens. People just leave it. Although, if you do start ducking other Jeeps, I do feel like energy comes back to you.
Eddie
Okay, whatever. Homeless man gave me a duck the other day.
Morgan
Apparently, you should replace the D with.
Eddie
The F. So he denied he didn't do that. He was like, you need a duck. Here you go. He threw me a duck.
Morgan
You need to replace the D with stuck.
Eddie
And you know what else? You know what else is cool now? If I pull up to someone, like, at a red light next to someone, and their top's open, I'll throw a duck in theirs.
Morgan
I wanted to do that, but that's not what happened.
Eddie
I did it, and it was like a family in there. They're like, yeah, give another one. I threw, like, five ducks over.
Morgan
Look how much joy that is.
Eddie
Yeah, well, that's because I didn't want the ducks.
Morgan
Oh, my gosh. Favorite thing to grill. Christine in Ohio.
Eddie
Oh, well, I'm gonna say smoke a brisket.
Morgan
Smoke a brisket.
Eddie
Smoking a brisket's my favorite because it's the hardest thing to do. All briskets are. They're all different. They're temperamental. They are. You know, it depends on how the fat is mixed in with the meat.
Morgan
I'm sorry. I'm not laughing at you.
Eddie
No, I know. I know. You're a vegetarian. You have no idea what I'm talking about. And I love that these people are asking these questions because you don't know how to answer them, because you don't know anything about meat and golf. So this is my time.
Morgan
Dad's time to shine.
Eddie
Dad's time. Smoking a brisket is my favorite. And I would say out of every. I'm pretty good now, but I'd say every third brisket is perfect for me.
Morgan
Okay.
Eddie
Where I got to. At first, it was, like, every tenth. So it's just. It's an art. It's an art to smoke brisket. And you get to perfect it. You really have to work on it.
Morgan
Okay. All right.
Eddie
And I've invested my time.
Morgan
Riveting information. Thank you.
Eddie
And you don't care at all.
Morgan
I. But Christine does.
Eddie
There we go.
Morgan
She wanted to know, are you still reading 15 minutes a day, Jen?
Eddie
Reading?
Morgan
Yeah.
Eddie
Did I say I was reading 15 minutes a day?
Morgan
Apparently it's.
Eddie
Oh, my Bible. Is it my Bible?
Morgan
Yeah, maybe.
Eddie
So I was doing. I'm doing daily Bible. I'm still doing it, but I'm not doing 15 minutes a day because some days I'm just like, I don't feel like reading. And so I will wait, like three days and then I will just catch up.
Morgan
We're really disciplined.
Eddie
Life is hard, Morgan. Life is hard. And some days I'm like, why would.
Morgan
You be me if I wasn't giving you a hard time? Okay.
Eddie
I know, I know. But I'm still reading it. I'm trucking. Do a two year plan to read the whole Bible.
Morgan
Okay.
Eddie
Two years, baby.
Morgan
I love this for you.
Eddie
We're in it.
Morgan
Can you give me some Bible trivia so I don't mess up anything?
Eddie
I'm terrible at it. You and lunchbox so bad.
Morgan
We're gonna take a quick break. We'll be right back.
Bobby

Morgan
Does anybody from the show own a painting that your wife has done, Sharon?
Eddie
Uh, no, I don't think anyone. Any show members do. Um, there's some listeners that have bought a couple of her paintings, which is really cool. And they send back pictures of it on their wall. And my wife just loves it. Like, it's. She's loving the whole process.
Morgan
You know, I do need a piece of artwork. Does she just do them and then she sells them or does she commission them?
Eddie
She does commission. So. So if you're interested, get with her and then tell her kind of what, what, what kind of colors like you want. And then she'll throw you up some. She'll send you some designs and then, like, if you like them. We'll do it.
Morgan
Okay.
Eddie
Yeah.
Morgan
I got to figure out a. What I want. It's for my podcast room. I have a little wall that I think would be really cool, but I need to finish that room. It's been a delay of, like, she.
Eddie
She has, like, probably 20 paintings that she's done that she's selling that are just already up on the website. And then she also does commission. So when people, like, hit her up and be like, hey, do you, like, I want these three colors. And she'll be like, okay, cool. Okay, how's this? And then they like it, and she sells it. Oh, it's really cool. Do that website for L. Garcia. Art.com. el Garcia. Just the letter L. Okay.
Morgan
How are you dealing with your oldest kiddo going to prom if he is going to prom?
Eddie
Laura, he is not going to prom. Yeah, he went to homecoming.
Morgan
She put the helicopter emoji next to this question.
Eddie
Stop, Stop these fools. Give me the helicopter label. But I'm a good parent. I care about my kids. And you know what? When my son and I went to go see Kendrick Lamar, which was a cool father, father, son trip, like, in a concert, just me and him, we bonded, and he told me, he's like, you're a cool dad. I think you're a great dad.
Morgan
I love that.
Eddie
Yeah, seriously. Because I am not helicopter ish. I care about my kids, and I want to make sure that they're okay. That's it.
Morgan
I don't. I have no opinion on this, because I don't. I don't know.
Eddie
Well, she put a helicopter emoji on it. I think I'm funny, you know, because, like, really, I'm just trying to be a good parent. And if caring is helicopter ish, then I'm a freaking helicopter parent.
Morgan
I think you are a great father, Eddie. And from what I've seen, you're not a helicopter. But I also am not in your house. I have not yet. I just know the few experiences the kids have been around.
Eddie
I mean, at the concert, if my son want to go to the restroom, I go with them, just in case.
Morgan
Dude. Okay, how old is he?
Eddie
17. But, like, I'll go with you, like, just in case, you know?
Morgan
Bro.
Eddie
Bro, you never know.
Morgan
You're right. You never know there's a fight.
Eddie
What if there's a fight in the bathroom and he gets caught up in it? Like, I'll be there.
Morgan
Okay. I was. I was like, really with you?
Eddie
And now you're like, bro, you're judging me, bro. I Am you're judging me.
Morgan
That I am. I still think you're a good dad, but, like, there's just gonna happen.
Eddie
I knew you would react like that. That's why I said it.
Morgan
Oh, my God. Did you take music lessons in school or post school? Or are you self taught? Barbara in Florida?
Eddie
No, Barbara, I'm self taught. I don't know anything about music. My music knowledge came from me being alone in my bedroom, just messing with a guitar and being like, whoa, that kind of sounds like Metallica. And then I figure it out, and then I would be like, that is Metallica. And then I would learn a song, and then I'd learn another song, and I'd learn another song. My brother is really good. Like, he was in marching band and knows how to read music. So any times I had questions, I'd go to him. That's kind of how I learned. Still don't know how to read music. And in Nashville, it's tough because, like, every time we do the Million Dollar show, our band director, Ryan, she's always like, I sent you the music chart, like, for these songs. And I'm just like, ryan, I don't read. I can't read that.
Morgan
So you're just learning by, like, teaching yourself?
Eddie
Yeah. So Ryan has to sit with me separately and be like, all right, here's how this song goes. This other song goes.
Morgan
Wow.
Eddie
Yeah.
Morgan
Have you thought about teaching yourself?
Eddie
Nah, it's too late.
Morgan
Yeah, well, it's never too late.
Eddie
No, I know, but I'm like, I'm not going to. We've talked about this. I'm not going to take something else on.
Morgan
I know we don't have the time. I got it.
Eddie
And plus, I can fake it till I make it now. So, like, let's just keep doing that.
Morgan
Okay. If you had to spend. This will be our last question. If you had to spend a month in another country, where would you go?
Eddie
In another country? Yeah, Jessica, that's a good question. A month is a long time. So it'd have to be a beachy country, like, Like Tahiti or something.
Morgan
Is that its own country?
Eddie
I think it's like an island. Tahiti's an island.
Morgan
I don't know. Don't look at me for geography because.
Eddie
I would say, like, Hawaii, but that's not a country.
Morgan
That's the US State.
Eddie
So hold on. Give me two seconds.
Morgan
Okay, I'll do my answer. I think I would do Italy. I really wanted to go to Italy for a really long time. And I just feel like I would do so well, drinking wine and eating cheese all the time.
Eddie
Oh, yeah, you get fat, too?
Morgan
No, because they walk everywhere.
Eddie
Oh, is that why they don't have cars?
Morgan
Well, they have cars, but, like, you walk or you like Vespa?
Eddie
I don't know. Cheese and wine. Sounds like I'll be fat after all.
Morgan
And they have baked goods everywhere. Maybe it's not like. Maybe I need to go back to, like, France. I don't know. Just somewhere in Europe, probably.
Eddie
No, Italy sounds awesome, though. But they do have. You know what? And they say that it's all, like. There's no preservatives.
Morgan
Exactly. It's healthy. It's like food to table. You make pasta all the time. That's what I'm.
Eddie
Okay, so my. My answer is Tahiti, and it is its own country. French Polynesia. Right. Is that right?
Morgan
French Polynesian or.
Eddie
I don't know. It's. It says Nija.
Morgan
Okay, I didn't know.
Eddie
I googled Tahiti, and it says French Polynesia.
Morgan
Nice.
Eddie
Look at this. Look at that. Look at that island. I'm zoomed in. It's just an island.
Morgan
Yeah.
Eddie
Probably the size of. I don't know.
Morgan
How do you get there? Like, obviously plain, but, like, it's off.
Eddie
The coast of California. Look at that.
Morgan
Oh, yeah, you're all out there. Wait, so is that.
Eddie
Look, it's in the middle of nowhere. That's what I want, Morgan.
Morgan
Just in the middle of nowhere.
Eddie
I want to be in Tahiti on that island. I want to fish, and I want to hang out with the locals at bars. I want to hike those mountains. Look at those mountains.
Morgan
Those mountains.
Eddie
Hike those mountains. And then go drink beer after I'm done hiking and.
Morgan
Well, I love this life for you.
Eddie
Go surf a little bit, because there's got to be great waves in Tahiti. And then go snorkel. Go look at fish.
Morgan
Yeah.
Eddie
And then go fish again. I'm sure there are golf courses on here. Look, there's a golf course right there. Play golf.
Morgan
You have all kinds of options. So you'll be in Tahiti doing all the local things, and I'll be eating pasta and cheese in Italy on the.
Eddie
Other side of the world.
Morgan
How cool would that be if we got to have a month excursion and then we, like, reported back and Bobby.
Eddie
Pay for it all?
Morgan
Well, I didn't go that far because that's not how we're going to get it done. But I'm just saying we get, like, a month off of work to go try this.
Eddie
But, like, if Bobby gave You a whole month off of work, though. Like, what would you do?
Morgan
Heck yeah, I'd go travel.
Eddie
You would?
Morgan
I would go backpack.
Eddie
You dip into your personal. Your. Your me money.
Morgan
Yeah, Shoot. That's what it's for.
Eddie
No, it's not me.
Morgan
I have been saving money to travel.
Eddie
Okay, okay.
Morgan
That's a big portion of it.
Eddie
But you would blow it like, next week.
Morgan
Well, I want to blow it all, but I take a portion of it out.
Eddie
All right, okay.
Morgan
If I get a month off. If I was like, hey, you have your job. Just come back in a month. Heck yeah, I would go travel. I would do it in a heartbeat.
Eddie
We'll find you in Italy, literally.
Morgan
And then I'll probably never come back. That's okay.
Eddie
She don't have to come back. I don't think I'd come back either.
Morgan
We're just stuck. We start doing the show from Tahiti and we try and find a time zone. Doesn't work.
Eddie
Sorry, Morgan, I'm fishing. I can't do it tomorrow.
Morgan
We tried. All right, Eddie, thanks for being here.
Eddie
Thank you, Morgan.
Morgan
Answering questions.
Eddie
That was fun.
Morgan
It was fun. Guys, go check out part one. Eddie and I always have funny, great conversations on part one. So it's fun. All right, bye, everybody.
Eddie
