Bobby Bones
Welcome to the Best Bits this weekend. I hope everyone is having a fun and safe weekend. Maybe you're early celebrating for the super bowl, or maybe you're just hanging out and enjoying a normal Saturday in February. Either way, I'm really happy you're here. We've got a lot to catch up on on the Bobby Bone show from this week, so let's get to it. Fun Fact Friday this week was all about the super bowl, because the super bowl is tomorrow. Depending on when you're listening to this, you might get the fun facts before or after the big game. Either way, I hope you enjoy these. A lot of these I never even knew about such a big thing in our pop culture.
Tisha Allen
Number seven, Fun Fact Friday, Super bowl edition of Fun Fact Friday, August 1st. Phil Sims, quarterback of the Giants, was the first ever to say, I'm going to Disney World after winning the Super Bowl MVP in 1987. And now pretty much everybody has said it every year. And Disney pays for. Then they actually get paid to go to Disney World, which is pretty cool.
Amy
Amy, more food is eaten on Super Bowl Sunday than any other day except Thanksgiving. It's the only day.
Tisha Allen
Do you guys. Are you at your stage in life? Do you like a Super bowl party?
Amy
Yes.
Lunchbox
Love it.
Tisha Allen
Hate it.
Amy
But I like it. I like it for the food.
Tisha Allen
Okay. Do you stay the whole game?
Amy
No, I don't need to. Have I eaten? Then we're good.
Tisha Allen
Eddie, do you stay the whole game?
Lunchbox
Do I stay the whole game? Yes, all the way to the very end.
Tisha Allen
You have the party?
Lunchbox
I normally like to host the party at my house. Yes, we do. Bingo cards and all that with food and everything.
Tisha Allen
I've never once been to a party. You posted.
Lunchbox
Well, because my wife puts it together really okay.
Amy
With, like, kids and stuff.
Lunchbox
Yeah, there's kids. It's usually my kids, friends and their parents.
Tisha Allen
You come to parties we've had.
Lunchbox
Yeah, yeah.
Tisha Allen
We've never once come to a party. You've never even been invited.
Lunchbox
Do you want to come to one of our super.
Tisha Allen
No. God, no. But I'm saying I don't want all. I want it to be invited one time.
Lunchbox
Okay, we'll invite you next time.
Tisha Allen
Lunchbox.
Eddie
On Super Bowl Sunday, Americans will spend $1.3 billion on beer.
Tisha Allen
I need to know how many Americans that is. I need to broken down. No.
Eddie
1.3 billion. I'm not talking billion dollars on beer in one day.
Tisha Allen
No, I hear you. If I was one person, I'd be like, that guy has problems. I just need it broken down when it's like one of those real high numbers, like how much per person per beer?
Eddie
Oh, my goodness.
Amy
Well, just. Yeah, I don't know how to get it divided by the people watching, but not everybody watching drinks.
Tisha Allen
The coin toss has resulted in heads 29 times and tails 29 times.
Amy
That's interesting.
Tisha Allen
50, 50 straight up. Since the beginning of flipping the coin, who has the most Super Bowl MVP awards. Amy.
Morgan
What?
Amy
Tom Brady?
Tisha Allen
Correct. Five.
Amy
Okay.
Tisha Allen
The super bowl halftime show did not feature big name artists until 1993 when Michael Jackson performed. Until then, I don't even know what they did. They even show it? I have no idea. Eddie, you've been having parties for a long time. Do they show it?
Lunchbox
Yeah, I have no idea.
Tisha Allen
Morgan.
Bobby Bones
All right, so in the mid-1960s, Lamar Hunt, who is the Kansas City Chiefs owner, he first used the term super bowl, later saying the name was likely in his head because his children had been playing with a Super ball toy. It's also claimed that the name came from the bowl shape of football stadiums.
Tisha Allen
So Lamar Hunt gets credit for naming it the Super Bowl.
Lunchbox
Interesting.
Tisha Allen
The first super bowl ticket cost $12 in 1967. Super bowl tickets right now, I looked it up. Are currently listed on StubHub anywhere from the absolute cheapest at 5,000 to 55,000 in the stadium. And that's not a suite. In the suite, there are hundreds of thousands each, like, for a single seat. The Buffalo Bills appeared in four straight Super Bowls. Listen to this, Amy. Think of that. They went 1, 2, 3, 4, 91, 92, 93 and 94. Four in a row. Never happened. How many think they won?
Amy
None.
Tisha Allen
None.
Lunchbox
Good job.
Tisha Allen
They lost four in a row.
Amy
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
That's crazy to think about now. I remember it happening being a kid and being like, oh, that sucks for them. Jim Kelly, that sucks. But to go four years in a row and lose every time and they're not going again. I know. Well. And then finally, commercials during the super bowl cost about $7 million this year for a 32nd spot. It used to be a thing too, where it's like, wait for the commercials. But now pretty much all the good commercials you see beforehand, it's not. It has the lore of Saturday morning cartoons back in the day, man, Saturday morning, wake up, watch cartoons now there's cartoons everywhere. You find them online all times a day. Yeah, Super Bowl. You already see the commercials. They make a big deal about the commercials before they even come out.
Amy
So before Michael Jackson's performance, because you were talking about that was the first one in 1993. Like televised halftime show. It was often uneventful before that and featured college marching bands and flag spinning.
Tisha Allen
There's no way they put that on tv, right?
Amy
Well, that was just. Probably not. But that was what was the Super Bowl.
Tisha Allen
Even at like, college football games.
Amy
But I mean, some of that stuff is impressive.
Tisha Allen
I'm not saying it's not impressive, but I can't see people gathering around the TV like, hey, put your wing down. Come over and watch the flag spinning real quick.
Amy
I guess Michael Jackson do it because.
Tisha Allen
Pepsi, it probably was a bunch of money put into sponsorship and then they're.
Amy
Like, oh, okay, we're on to something now.
Tisha Allen
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure that was, it was probably a one time thing that they were like, wow, we can buy this and make a lot of money showing it this year is Kendrick Lamar. SZA's also doing it too. That's cool. All right, there you go. Fun fact Friday, super bowl edition. That Friday, it's the best bits of the week with Morgan.

Something about Mary Poppins?
A.J. Jacobs
Something about Mary Poppins. Exactly.
Lunchbox
Oh, man, this is fun.
A.J. Jacobs
I'm A.J. jacobs, and I am an author and a journalist, and I tend to get obsessed with stuff, and my current obsession is puzzles. And that has given birth to my podcast, the Puzzler. Dressing. Dressing.
Tisha Allen
French dressing.
A.J. Jacobs
Exactly.
Tisha Allen
Oh, that's good.
A.J. Jacobs
Now you can get your daily puzzle nuggets delivered straight to your ears.
Tisha Allen
I thought to myself, I bet I know what this is. And. And now I definitely know what this is.
Eddie
This is so weird. This is fun.
Tisha Allen
Let's try this one.
A.J. Jacobs

I'm Minnie Driver and I set out to explore this idea in my podcast, Mini Questions. Over the years, we've had some incredible guests. People like Courteney Cox, star of the infinitely beloved sitcom Friends, egot winner Viola Davis, and former prime minister of the uk Tony Blair. Each episode is a new person's story with new lessons, new memories and new connections. To show us how we're both similar, unique, listen to Mini questions on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Seven questions. Limitless answers.
Bobby Bones
This segment has become a listener favorite. It's Tuesday reviews day and we shared some things that you can add to your watch list. I personally watched something that Bobby had suggested a while back. So did Lunchbox Mike. D watched something totally new, as he always does, Movie Mike and and Bobby shared a new show that he thinks everybody should check out. He really enjoyed. So without further ado, get your pen, your pencil or your notes app ready and write these down.
Tisha Allen
Number six, Tuesday reviews day. I'll start. We watched a show. We binged a show hard called Day of the Jackal. Have you guys heard of this?
Amy
No.
Tisha Allen
No. It is on Peacock. It's awesome. Eddie Redmayne is my new favorite person in the world. That dude. He played Stephen Hawking back in the day. He plays an assassin. That's all I'm going to say it is. I don't know what the rating is. If you can find me the rating, I don't even look it up.
Amy
85% on rotten tomatoes.
Tisha Allen
Awesome. It is called the Day of the Jackal. It's in another language, though. It's in British.
Lunchbox
No, that's English.
Tisha Allen
I know, I know. Yes, yes. But sometimes though, you're like, what? Okay, we keep the subtitles on. It's in British. It's awesome. I'm gonna give it four and a half out of Five sniper rifles. That's all I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say no more because I want you to enjoy the show. And I. That's two things I've mentioned that's been on Peacock. I'm not getting paid by Peacock. This is not no money here, but I watched Royal Rumble on two and it was pretty awesome. Yeah. Mike D. Tuesday reviews day. Yeah, I watched a movie called you're cordially invited with Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon. It's a movie? Yeah, it's a comedy movie on Prime. Okay.
Amy
Yeah, it just came out.
Tisha Allen
It's actually pretty good. Like, I like a good dumb comedy every now and then. And this is classic Will Ferrell, R rated, raunchy comedy premise.
Lunchbox
It's about.
Tisha Allen
He has a daughter getting married. Reese Witherspoon's sister's getting married, and they get double booked at a venue. So then they have to like share the wedding venue. Is that why she's in the news so much? Because she's promoting a movie? Yeah. What do you rate it? I give it three out of five, which is strong for a movie like this.
Lunchbox
Like, it's rom com.
Tisha Allen
It's really dumb. You're gonna watch and be like, this is stupid. But you kind of enjoy it. Okay, so we got. What's it called again? You're cordially invited. You're cordially invited. Okay. Tuesday reviews day. Amy, anything?
Amy
I have not finished anything. Then you can review.
Tisha Allen
No review.
Morgan
Just started.
Amy
A bunch of different things and now it's like all messy and I don't know what to watch and I'm stressing out.
Tisha Allen
Anything? Lunchbox?
Eddie
Yeah. Black Doves on Netflix.
Tisha Allen
Oh, yeah. I did this a couple of weeks ago.
Eddie
It is like spies and infiltration and Lies and Affairs. Man, it's awesome.
Tisha Allen
It's awesome.
Eddie
It is so good. There are parts that are a little corny. You're like, okay, that's ridiculous. But so entertaining. And at the end every episode you're like, oh, I got to watch the next one. You don't want to. It took me only a week to watch the whole thing. Review 4 out of 5 Affairs.
Tisha Allen
Do you remember me reviewing it?
Eddie
No, never heard of it.
Amy
Oh, I watched it because you. You reviewed it?
Tisha Allen
I just wonder if he is good. If it's like blind karaoke where he doesn't hear the music, if he even hears us reviewing things now.
Eddie
Literally, my sister in law said she started watching it, so told my wife. And so we were like, all right, we'll check it out and took us a week. Done.
Tisha Allen
Boom.
Amy
Next month, he's gonna be like the Day of the Jackal.
Tisha Allen
Eddie, anything?
Lunchbox
I started watching Gladiator 2.
Tisha Allen
Starting, not done. No start.
Lunchbox
So I cannot reveal.
Tisha Allen
Shouldn't even mention what we're starting. A slippery place.
Amy
But I didn't mention anything.
Tisha Allen
I know. Just say, no. I have nothing, because here's what I started. I'm not doing it. Morgan.
Bobby Bones
Yep. On your recommendation, I watched season one of Severance on Apple tv.
Tisha Allen
Plus one of the best shows ever. But you can hate it, though.
Bobby Bones
My brain was exploding. Like, I think the first couple episodes, I was bummed because it was kind of slow, and then it just all over the place, and my brain literally sat there, and after, I was like, I think I need a break. My brain needs a break. I loved it.
Tisha Allen
Feel free to review it badly. You don't have to base it on my opinion.
Bobby Bones
No, I really loved it. It was a little slow in the beginning, so that's why it's getting four out of five books.
Tisha Allen
And season two is rolling right now, which is cool. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I watched the first three episodes.
Tisha Allen
I could do Night Agent because I never officially reviewed that crap Night Agent on Netflix. Season one, two and a half out of five phones.
Amy
Oh, my God.
Tisha Allen
Two and a half. Two and a half it is. They telegraph the moves in that one. You know, everything that's coming. Season three. Three, three. They get a little less corny. Season two, season two, three. Yeah. Yeah. It's so corny. I feel like that's for people who, like, couldn't quite hang with the agency and be like, this is too much. Then they watch Knighted. Yeah.
Amy
Like, elementary is loving it. Like, he wants.
Tisha Allen
That's perfect.
Amy
I want to grow up and be a night.
Tisha Allen
It's like a kids. That's perfect. It is a kids CIA show. CIA White House type show.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
Yeah. Okay. There you go. It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two.
Bobby Bones
Sometimes we will go through some voicemails from our listeners, and in this segment, a lot of things kind of happened. We got some updates on Amy's piano recital and Eddie's Christmas bracelet that he got from Scuba Steve. It was that thousand dollars diamond bracelet situation. Well, did he keep it? Did he not? So he got updates on both of those, and Amy shares if she has a boyfriend. I know. Big news number five.
Tisha Allen
A voicemail from Jillian was just doing a follow up on Amy's piano recital. It actually started because Abby was wanting to learn how to play the guitar. Amy was saying that she used to play the piano. Her deadline was in January to do her piano recital along with Abby. So any update would be really fun to listen to. Thank you so much for reminding us. Amy loves a commitment. Amy. Yeah, Piano recital. So how have lessons been going?
Amy
I totally forgot about that. But I'm thankful for the reminder because I still want to do it. I still want to take piano, so.
Tisha Allen
Okay, so that'll never happen. But Gillian, that's not true.
Lunchbox
What's first, a three point shot or the.
Tisha Allen
Well, we can make her a three point shot. That's easy. But she said she was going to take piano lessons and come to a recital because Abby did guitar.
Amy
Guys, I. I did shoot three pointers the other day and I may I. I shot probably 10 and I made one. 10 shots. Only made one. So what's the math on that? Like 10.
Tisha Allen
That's like the easiest math ever when you do.
Amy
No, no, no, no, no, no. I don't. I mean in regards.
Tisha Allen
I can't figure it out. What's the percentage?
Amy
No, I know that part. I' challenge.
Tisha Allen
Because I don't really remember the challenge yet, but we will go back to it. I just wanted everybody to be reminded that Amy promised she would learn piano over the year and did not. Next up, Ray, give me Tammy and Virginia. Good morning studios. Don't want to put him on the spot, but I was just curious. Did Eddie keep the diamond bracelet that he got for Christmas or did he return it and get something else? Let's. I love our listeners because we. They will come and remember things. Eddie, we did this game. You got drawn. Eddie was given a diamond bracelet by Scuba Steve per gift cards. Eddie, what's up with the diamond bracelet? Yeah, yeah.
Lunchbox
You know, you believe something that you can return diamonds back to the store. I just gave it a shot and they took them back.
Tisha Allen
So you. Yeah. Did you even give it to your wife?
Lunchbox
I mean, she's like, you know what I mean? I don't really wear that kind of stuff. So like, let's just take it back.
Tisha Allen
So you return your Christmas gift and.
Lunchbox
We got gift cards.
Tisha Allen
Yeah. How much are the gift cards?
Lunchbox
I mean, dude, like $800.
Tisha Allen
That's awesome.
Lunchbox
$800. Gift cards. So we've bought all sorts of stuff. I got a blender. What else did I get? An ice cream maker.
Tisha Allen
Scuba Steve, how do you feel about Eddie returning your gift?
Lunchbox
I mean, he could do whatever he wants with it. I just a little disappointed you didn't give it to your wife because.
Tisha Allen
Yes. She's saying she doesn't want diamond bracelets. It's just because she's not used to it because you don't give it to her. So you might as well give it.
Lunchbox
So she has an opportunity to have something nice for herself, and you take.
Tisha Allen
It away and get stupid gift cards. That's just my opinion. Did she see it?
Lunchbox
She saw him. And I did try to do the whole Christmas thing, like, hey, look, I got you diamonds. She's like, I will never wear that. Not her style.
Tisha Allen
Got it.
Lunchbox
Not her style to wear diamonds.
Tisha Allen
So it was on her, not you.
Lunchbox
Yeah, man.
Tisha Allen
Give me Stacy from Maryland.
Morgan
I heard Amy mention on her podcast that she has a boyfriend, and we haven't gotten an update on the Bobby Bones show, so I was wondering if she wanted to tell us more about the boyfriend.
Tisha Allen
Love the show.
Morgan
Love you guys.
Tisha Allen
Thanks, Amy. Amy, breaking news on our podcast.
Lunchbox
Wow.
Tisha Allen
All right, go ahead.
Amy
Me, You, Bobby.
Tisha Allen
I didn't make that voicemail up. It's on my list of voicemails.
Amy
You made it up. But you know what's going to be played.
Tisha Allen
Trust me, I had a hundred of those.
Amy
Okay.
Tisha Allen
And even Eddie hit me up a couple days ago going, hey, Amy said on a podcast she had a boyfriend.
Amy
How does Eddie know.
Tisha Allen
You're.
Amy
You're listening to my podcast?
Lunchbox
No, somebody messaged me.
Tisha Allen
Listen. Yeah, okay. Do not ship the blank line to us.
Amy
Said all my podcasts that I've been dating, and I just talk more, especially when we're talking to, like, my friend Kat, and it's. It's like a safe space where I don't have a safe space.
Tisha Allen
It's what we're doing here.
Amy
It's a safe space.
Tisha Allen
Just address. Address the question.
Amy
Safe space.
Tisha Allen
Address the question.
Amy
Okay, well, how do you. I. I just felt like it would be more of, like, this is a very special place to announce it.
Tisha Allen
Like, if you've already announced.
Amy
But I haven't really announced it. I mean, on my podcast, it's very different than the listeners of this show. I mean, it's the audience. You want to talk about the numbers. It's very different.
Tisha Allen
If you've said it, you've said it.
Amy
But if I've what? I haven't said it on social media.
Lunchbox
That's true. People in, like, have articles where they say, I heard this on a podcast. So now it's out. It's out.
Amy
Yeah, but it's very different. Bobby, this.
Tisha Allen
Why are we taking. Why are we taking the blame?
Amy
I'm not taking the blame. There's so many.
Tisha Allen
Play the podcast Again, please.
Amy
It just feels like.
Tisha Allen
Sorry. Play the voicemail again, please. Feel like.
Morgan
I heard Amy mention on her podcast that she has a boyfriend, and we haven't gotten an update on the Bobby Bones show, so I was wondering if she wanted to tell us more about the boyfriend.
Tisha Allen
Love the show.
Morgan
Love you guys.
Tisha Allen
Thanks.
Amy
Okay, so what do y'all. What do y'all want to know?
Eddie
Cat got the tongue?
Amy
Bobby, what do you. What should we do?
Tisha Allen
What do we do? Whatever you've said on your podcast.
Amy
I haven't said much on my podcast at all. Like, I haven't said details. This is not.
Tisha Allen
I have to unleash lunchbox.
Eddie
Okay, Amy. This is what goes down. Amy. So you. You guys doing it?
Amy
Are we. What.
Lunchbox
What is he talking about?
Tisha Allen
I'll let him out. Got to put him back in the cage. I'm checking. Whistle. Get out.
Amy
I think we should carve out special time.
Tisha Allen
Oh, my God.
Lunchbox
What's the dog doing?
Tisha Allen
Oh, my God. The dog is peeing on everything. It's the best bits of the week with Morgan.

That's awful. And I should have seen it coming. It was a moment that should have broken me. But just because of how I was raised and my bullishness and arrogance to want to be great hardened me, it gave me a platform to be so singularly focused on greatness. We all have moments like this.
Morgan
Something happens that's supposed to break us.
Tisha Allen
But it's in these moments that we discover what we're really made of.
Morgan
I promise you, if anyone knows this, it's me. I'm Ashlyn Harris, two time Women's World cup champion and goalkeeper for the US Women's National Team. What started as talking about some of the funniest street names in our country turned into all of us sharing our stripper names, AKA the name of your first pet, plus the name of the first street that you lived on, and it turned into a whole thing. So get a little laugh out of these funny street names and then a laugh out of maybe your new favorite band name of all of our street names, and maybe you'll come up with yours and it'll be even better than ours.
Tisha Allen
Number four. This is a list of the funniest street names in the United States. Number one, Bucket of Blood Street.
Amy
Like, you have to give your address to someone. You're like, I live at 2:22 bucket of blood.
Tisha Allen
I think whomever created Bucket of Blood street needs to be investigated, because usually if it's a small street you can name it whatever you want. Next up, Far from Poopin Road. That one's in Arkansas. It's one word. Far from poopin is one word.
Lunchbox
I like that one.
Amy
Far from Poopin.
Tisha Allen
Far from Poopin Road. Slaughter Neck Road in Delaware. Oof.
Lunchbox
Investigation.
Tisha Allen
That one hurts a little bit. Like, that one makes me do my neck a little bit. Billy Goat Strut Alley and Nanny Goat Strut Alley. Two roads running right beside each other in Kentucky. Liquid Laughter Lane. That feels like a stomach issue.
Lunchbox
Liquid laughter. Would that be like alcohol?
Tisha Allen
I would think it would be. What happens if you're laughing so hard? That's from. That's in Maryland. Psychopath. Oh, yeah.
Lunchbox
Oh, that's clever.
Amy
Yeah, but I don't want to live there.
Tisha Allen
Where do you live? 111. Psychopath. You would think somebody was kidding.
Amy
I'd be like two words or one.
Tisha Allen
And his path like a street. Street Lane. There are paths.
Amy
I mean, I. I'm sure there are, but it's not like an official. I don't think it's like avenue if you're.
Tisha Allen
It has to be, because Bucket of Blood Street. Far from Pooping Road. I would think, if it fits here. Psychopath.
Amy
Okay.
Tisha Allen
Will you see if path is officially recognized? It is officially recognized. Oh, yeah. The funniest is Far from Pooping. The weirdest is Bucket of Blood.
Lunchbox
The clever. The most clever, though, is psychopath.
Amy
Psychopath.
Lunchbox
That's very.
Tisha Allen
Psychopath is good. Do you ever do that thing when you were kids? Like, what's your stripper name? Yeah.
Amy
Where you do your street name and your dog or something?
Tisha Allen
First pet and street name. What would yours have been?
Amy
Mine would have been Trixie Pinehurst.
Tisha Allen
That's a legitimate stripper name. Really good. That's it. Like you never been to a strip club. But if she was on the sign, I might have to go by and see what's up. Pretty good lunchbox.
Eddie
Nikki. Silver Creek.
Amy
That's not bad either.
Eddie
Not bad, man.
Tisha Allen
The street you first lived on. Now that. But so is Nikki.
Eddie
Nikki's my dog.
Tisha Allen
That's the last name. It says street you lived on. Plus name of your first pet. Did you do. How did you do?
Amy
Oh, I did. Well, I did dog and then street.
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
I feel like Pinehurst. Trixie.
Lunchbox
I think the dog needs to be first.
Amy
Yeah, the dog.
Tisha Allen
Yes. I don't make the rules. I'm literally reading what it says in front of me. Okay. I'm reading with a page.
Morgan
Yeah.
Amy
I go go dog, then street.
Tisha Allen
Okay. So what is your lunchbox?
Eddie
Nikki Silver Crew.
Tisha Allen
Okay.
Lunchbox
Eddie Dolly second. So maybe I'd be Dolly the Second. Because it was Second Street.
Tisha Allen
Yeah. Dude, I would not stop at your show.
Lunchbox
Nah, that's not good.
Tisha Allen
Mine would be Rod Hardingston.
Amy
Your first Rod Hard.
Tisha Allen
I made the whole thing up. You made it up?
Eddie
It's pretty good.
Tisha Allen
Mine sucks. But how funny would that be if that was really it? No, mine would be Bradley Mountain View. Although. Mountain View.
Lunchbox
Bradley Mountain. That's.
Tisha Allen
Could be used as like a. Hey, you want to see the mountain?
Amy
And Bradley's a cute girl's name.
Tisha Allen
No, Bradley's a guy's name.
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
No, no, no. On the morning.
Tisha Allen
But I'm a guy. Why would I want a girl's name.
Amy
Character named Bradley.
Tisha Allen
No, no. But why would I want a girl's name?
Amy
Oh, I thought that y'all were. Okay, okay. I just picture not being sexist.
Tisha Allen
Males can be strippers too. Yeah.
Amy
Who fucks is Nikki Silver Creek.
Eddie
No, no, no, no, I'm not.
Lunchbox
He's got a different Nikki Silver Creek.
Tisha Allen
But Nikki can be a guy. Yeah.
Eddie
Nikki six.
Lunchbox
Good one.
Eddie
That's the only thing I got.
Tisha Allen
Nikki.
Amy
Oh, I thought we were all just being female strippers.
Tisha Allen
Why would we be female strippers?
Amy
I don't know. Because every time I played this game, I was picturing, like, stripper woman. Like, as a kid. I just.
Tisha Allen
Because you put. You were playing. Yeah, we won a strip, too.
Amy
Okay.
Lunchbox
My dog was Dolly. Like, what is this?
Tisha Allen
You're out. You're done.
Eddie
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
You're managing the club. You're not even out on stage. Morgan.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I'm with Eddie. Mine was Reba Nantucket.
Amy
I mean, that's a good one.
Tisha Allen
That feels like a hillbilly that knows how to get down.
Lunchbox
And it's got a Ryan.
Tisha Allen
Yes, Reba Nantucket. You know what she knows how to do?
Amy
What?
Lunchbox
Come on, Amy.
Tisha Allen
What do you think, Amy? That rhyme.
Eddie
Nothing.
Tisha Allen
She also thought we wanted to be female strippers. Okay.
Lunchbox
Reba Nantucket. That's good.
Amy
What can she do?
Lunchbox
Oh, Amy style.
Bobby Bones
She Kentucky.
Tisha Allen
What do you think she can do?
Amy
She's a.
Tisha Allen
What's the rhyme? Oh, there once was a man from Nantucket.
Amy
Okay, okay, okay, I get it now.
Tisha Allen
Yeah.
Amy
I didn't know we were rhyming. I thought she could. She had a certain skill.
Lunchbox
Well, yeah, you know, I have lots.
Tisha Allen
Of skills, even in the. And we can. We can bleep it. Do you know how the next line goes out either? Once was a man from Nantucket. That's lunchbox with a blank so long. He could Blank it.
Bobby Bones
Oh, oh, I heard a different one.
Tisha Allen
That's the initial rhyme.
Lunchbox
Wait, Morgan says she heard a different one.
Bobby Bones
I thought it had something to do with the bucket.
Tisha Allen
But how would that be bad?
Bobby Bones
No, I'm just saying that's the one that I've heard. I've never heard this one you're talking about.
Amy
I was thinking something totally different than both of them.
Tisha Allen
Once was a man from Nantucket with a blank.
Amy
Okay, okay, okay, okay. I get it now. Marilyn Manson.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah. He took a rib out to do that.
Tisha Allen
But that wouldn't be so long. That would be so small that he had to take it out. Yeah. Oh, he said with a grin. And then he. Delete that. Delete that. Wait, I'm just reading you the whole thing.
Amy
But don't act like this is a universally known rhyme.
Tisha Allen
And he said, if my ear were a, I would it.
Amy
What?
Eddie
Good. I gotta know.
Bobby Bones
Where did this come from?
Lunchbox
Yeah, yeah, I figured that rhyme was.
Tisha Allen
Coming at some point. Folklore of Bad rhymes.
Eddie
I was on the other word.
Lunchbox
Is it Andrew?
Tisha Allen
But that's in there, too. I just said that one, too.
Eddie
I know. And I'm just.
Lunchbox
Yeah, Andrew Dice.
Tisha Allen
I think he. I don't know, dude.
Amy
Okay.
Tisha Allen
I can't. We learned that in second grade at Mountain Pine. That's what we learned is nursery rhymes.
Amy
Okay.
Tisha Allen
Anyway, these streets are cool.
Amy
All right.
Tisha Allen
It's the best bits of the week with Morgan.
Bobby Bones
Number two, we did a spin the wheel this week. Amy had brought to the show this book called Fourth Wing, which she heard was a lot like Hunger Games, which she once upon a time loved so much, so she wanted somebody on the show to read it and report back. Well, the wheel got spun. And let's just say it has a funny outcome, given how the book got brought to the show in the first place.
Tisha Allen
Number three, I'm gonna spin this wheel. And the loser has to read this 500 page book called 4th Wing. Not that it's a bad book, but Amy was pitching it like it's Hunger Games, which I read and love, but she was like, but they make a love to dragons. I was like, I don't know if.
Amy
That'S exactly what's happening. That's what you say, but it's a romantasy.
Tisha Allen
I don't like that.
Amy
Romance and fantasy.
Tisha Allen
So it's 500 pages. Loser has to read it. You have a month to read it.
Lunchbox
I've never read 500 pages of anything in a month.
Tisha Allen
But that's not a reason for you never to read 500 pages. Of something.
Lunchbox
I'm dyslexic, man.
Tisha Allen
Read it backwards.
Amy
Okay, Eddie, So am I.
Tisha Allen
Okay, so what I'll do is I'll spin.
Lunchbox
Oh, God.
Tisha Allen
By the way, let me read you the idea of the book here.
Eddie
Great.
Tisha Allen
Fourth Wing is a high fantasy novel by Rebecca Yarrow. It's about a young woman named Violet who is forced to attend a war college to become a Dragon Rider.
Eddie
Oh, my gosh.
Tisha Allen
I don't mind this part. This part sounds so stupid. I'm still in. I like Game of Thrones. I'm still in. Violet is smaller and more fragile than the other cadets, and dragons are unlikely to bond with her. She must undergo intense training and trials to survive and become one of the strongest cadets.
Eddie
Oh, my gosh.
Tisha Allen
Where's the love part? Because I hear there's lots of lovemaking, and that's the part I don't like.
Amy
We don't know yet. We're gonna have to read to find out.
Tisha Allen
Okay, so.
Eddie
Oh, man.
Tisha Allen
We can go one of two ways. We can spin it once and just a loser does it, or we can spin it and we eliminate the person.
Eddie
I don't know what I want.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I don't know either.
Eddie
I don't know what I want. Depends where it lands on the wheel.
Tisha Allen
Mike D. Morgan. Lunchbox. Eddie. Amy, Me, Abby, Scuba, Steve.
Eddie
Is there anybody you want that to read it?
Tisha Allen
Yeah. Eddie.
Lunchbox
Why? You grow.
Tisha Allen
I want you to grow as a person. You're like, I've never read more than 10 pages. Well, buddy, I think it's time to buck up.
Lunchbox
It'd be better for me. Yeah.
Tisha Allen
Yes.
Lunchbox
Let's do the last the.
Tisha Allen
So we want to mark somebody off. Everybody good at that? Okay, I'll spin, and if it lands on them, we'll change their name out to spin again. Love it.
Eddie
Okay.
Tisha Allen
And then we'll play song and do it again right after.
Eddie
Okay?
Tisha Allen
Okay, here we go. Test spin. No.
Lunchbox
Test spin.
Eddie
I don't want to ruin my luck.
Tisha Allen
All right, 500 pages. A romantasy. Who has to read it? Remember, if it lands on you, you're in the free.
Eddie
Come on, me.
Tisha Allen
Let's spin that wheel.
Paola Pedrosa
Come on, world.
Eddie
Show me somebody.
Tisha Allen
No, Scuba.
Minnie Driver
Of course, Jedi.
Lunchbox
Gosh, thank God, because I haven't even read your other book you gave me yet.
Tisha Allen
The four Agreements. That's eight pages. I know.
Eddie
So it's a good thing I'm not reading that book.
Tisha Allen
Okay, so we'll mark Scuba off. You want to spend one more, though, now, before we read? Yeah, yeah, one more.
Eddie
Let's just Go ahead and get me off out of there.
Amy
Okay. What you need to be thinking of, Bobby, is what's the punishment if someone doesn't read it? Because these guys, they did bail on your four agreements.
Tisha Allen
You don't know that that was a recommended. And I did say they weren't forced to agree.
Amy
Well, but this is going to be forced. So if you don't have it complete, then relax.
Lunchbox
We'll read it.
Tisha Allen
We'll come up with.
Amy
The punishment has to do with a dragon in you.
Lunchbox
Oh, and romance.
Tisha Allen
We're going to watch you make love to a dragon. A Komodo dragon, though. One of our choosing.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
Okay, we're going to spin one more.
Eddie
Come on.
Tisha Allen
If it lands on spin again, and we will not spin again, we'll play a song and come back. Okay.
Eddie
Oh, my goodness.
Tisha Allen
Let's spin that wheel.
Eddie
Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.
Tisha Allen
Oh, my gosh.
Lunchbox
That's me. No, it's not.
Tisha Allen
Morgan.
Eddie
Morgan, right next to me.
Tisha Allen
Oh, man.
Lunchbox
Not good.
Tisha Allen
We're gonna put spin again on that spot.
Eddie
We're getting in danger territory.
Tisha Allen
Eddie, Amy, Bobby, Abby, Raymundo, Mike D, Lunchbox, all still on it.
Lunchbox
Oh, man.
Tisha Allen
We're only gonna do probably 2 spin. 2 or 3 spins total. If it lands on spin again, that counts as one of the spins. Okay.
Eddie
Okay. Can you take it off my name?
Tisha Allen
Here we go. Let's spin that wheel.
Eddie
Come on.
Lunchbox
Come on, baby. Come on, baby.
Tisha Allen
Mike D.
Lunchbox
What is happening?
Tisha Allen
Mike D is now in the clear. We are.
Eddie
The world hates me.
Tisha Allen
Mike D is off on the wheel now. Ray, Abby, me, Amy, Eddie, and Lunchbox.
Eddie
Oh, my gosh.
Lunchbox
We should have done it the other way.
Amy
Yeah, I know. We'd be done and Scoob would be reading it.
Tisha Allen
Let's spin that wheel. Oh, my gosh.
Eddie
Come on, Come on.
Tisha Allen
Nope, too much Raymondo. You're out. All the B listers are gone.
Eddie
All the B listers.
Amy
Okay.
Tisha Allen
Oh, I'm using the wrong marker.
Lunchbox
Use a Sharpie.
Tisha Allen
Hey, what do I know? The wheel's up next to me. Hold on.
Lunchbox
We'll forever have a spin again.
Tisha Allen
Oh, I've totally permanent markered one of the spin spots.
Lunchbox
Okay, well, I'm sure alcohol or something will get it off.
Tisha Allen
Okay, so here's what we're going to do. We're going to come back, we're going to fix the wheel, though, and remove the spin agains and put us all in multiple places for later.
Eddie
Oh, get rid of me.
Tisha Allen
Except that one. That's always a spin for the history of the world. Okay, so Abby, me, Amy, Eddie, and Lunchbox still on the board.
Lunchbox
This is so dumb.
Tisha Allen
Gonna have to read this book. Okay, back. Nobody wants to lose because loser has to read this 500 page book called Fourth Wing. And what's the premise?
Amy
Okay, so there's like a dragon riding war amongst college kids, and they're all just trying to survive. Like Hunger Games, you know, fight to your death. But it's also a Romantasy, which is romance and fantasy put together, and there, again, are dragons involved. I don't know exactly what that means, but I've heard from multiple friends that their husbands feel awkward if they're listening to it on audible.
Tisha Allen
Okay, so on the wheel here, Eddie, Amy, Me, Abby, Lunchbox.
Eddie
Oh, man.
Tisha Allen
That's all that's remaining. I will spin the wheel. If it lands on your name, you're off the wheel. Oh, yeah.
Eddie
All right.
Tisha Allen
I forgot. Okay.
Lunchbox
Yeah, so we want to land.
Tisha Allen
You want it to land on you. And by the way, you will have a thick 500 page book, and we will be monitoring how you're reading it with steamy scenes. Yes. Are you guys ready? Yes. Let's spin that wheel.
Eddie
Come on, lb.
Tisha Allen
Land on me. Land on me.
Jon Stewart
Yes.
Paola Pedrosa
Yes.
Tisha Allen
I'm clear.
Morgan
Okay.
Lunchbox
Thank goodness.
Tisha Allen
I think Eddie was nervous because he can't read.
Lunchbox
Because I really can't. I'm dyslexic, so this would have taken me forever, man.
Eddie
The world, really?
Lunchbox
Even though you said, like, oh, it could be challenging and you can overcome your challenges, Bones. I'm glad I'm out of there.
Tisha Allen
Oh, no.
Eddie
The world really does not like me.
Tisha Allen
Okay, I'm gonna play a song and then we'll spin it.
Amy
Oh, my gosh.
Tisha Allen
Lunchbox, Abby. Oh, me and Amy. Four left. I mean, what are the four laps now it's down to 25. Let's spin the wheel again. Whomever it lands on has to read this 500 page romantic fantasy book. It's just me, Amy, Lunchbox, and Abby on the wheel. Ready? Let's spin that wheel.
Eddie
Come on, man. Come on, Come on.
Tisha Allen
Yeah, it almost.
Amy
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
I thought it was going to Bobby.
Eddie
I thought it was going to Bobby.
Tisha Allen
It got so close.
Lunchbox
That's huge.
Eddie
Oh, my gosh.
Tisha Allen
I thought it was gonna get me free. Wow. Yeah.
Lunchbox
It feels so good to get landed.
Eddie
Oh, my gosh. Fourth wing. Bye.
Tisha Allen
Bye. Okay, so it'll just. We can remove the wheel for now. All right, take Lunchbox's name off. It's just me, Abby, and Amy.
Lunchbox
Oh, my goodness.
Tisha Allen
I thought that was gonna bonk over to Me.
Amy
It says the main character is navigating a forbidden romance.
Lunchbox
Oh my.
Tisha Allen
Yeah, I'm more of a rule follower. Same for me. I do want to read this. According to NASA center for Near Earth Object Studies, a large asteroid could pass close enough to Earth within the next decade to pose a potential threat. This is the first time that they've said this. The asteroid named 2024 YR4 measures between 130 and 330ft in diameter and could impact Earth in 2032. Despite its proximity. NASA officials emphasize that the likelihood of direct impact. Like they give us an actual percentage here of it hitting Earth and Earth exploding. 1.3%. You know what? It's a little too much for me.
Lunchbox
That's too much.
Tisha Allen
That's a little too much for me.
Lunchbox
Oh my goodness. Hey. What? And like what's that size? Like what's it comparable to like a truck or something?
Tisha Allen
Like I can read you more. It almost doesn't matter. It will because this.
Lunchbox
Because it's so fast.
Tisha Allen
It will hit and then the effects of. It likes to goes into the sky. It then covers the sun. It. It's like. Almost like a nuclear situation.
Amy
It's disruptive.
Tisha Allen
It kills half the Earth. Wow. So 1.3% chance. 2032. Space experts further note that asteroid 2024 yr 4 has an interesting orbit which makes tracking its path challenging. While 2024 YR4's orbit raises some concerns due to its unpredictability, NASA remains vigilant, prioritizing further studies and readiness measures. As of now, they assure the public while the asteroid's path warrants attention, the chances of impact are low. 1.3%. We gotta get Bruce Willis on the phone.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
And we gotta get Steven Tyler.
Lunchbox
Right.
Tisha Allen
Get ready to sing.
Lunchbox
And Liv.
Tisha Allen
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Ben Affleck.
Tisha Allen
We got to get him in. We got to get Steve Buscemi.
Lunchbox
Yes.
Tisha Allen
Is he in that one?
Lunchbox
Yes, he's in that.
Tisha Allen
Okay, we don't want to spoil that, but.
Lunchbox
And we have 10 years.
Amy
A decade.
Tisha Allen
Yeah. No less.
Amy
Less than somewhere in the decade.
Tisha Allen
What you don't want to watch is that number go from 1.3 to 2 to 4 to 9. But right now, 1.3%. Nothing to see here. Move along everybody. Let's finish it off here. There are three names. Amy, Abby and myself. One of us has to read this 500 page romantic fantasy book called the Fourth Wheel. What's it called?
Amy
Fourth Wing, Fourth Wheel.
Tisha Allen
Let's just spin it. Whomever it lands on is. You guys want to eliminate or Just have a winner.
Paola Pedrosa
Loser.
Lunchbox
You guys, whatever.
Tisha Allen
Let's spin it. And whoever it is is wiped off the wheel.
Amy
Okay.
Tisha Allen
Okay. All right. Let's spin that wheel. And it is me. Wow.
Lunchbox
Thank you.
Tisha Allen
Wow, wow, wow, wow. You can pull it.
Amy
Okay.
Lunchbox
Get that thing out of there.
Tisha Allen
We'll do the final spin after the news because we'll do. Okay, let's.
Lunchbox
Oh, my good. We're down to two.
Tisha Allen
It's Amy or Abby. Oh, my goodness. I mean, it's a load off my. My bag. Take that off.
Paola Pedrosa
Okay.
Tisha Allen
We do have to spin the wheel for the book. I'm gonna say this. It's a little anticlimactic because it's Amy and Abby to read this 500 page dinosaur lovemaking book.
Lunchbox
Yeah, dragons, whatever.
Tisha Allen
If it had been a dude, it had been way funnier, but still. Abby, do you read? No, I am not. So now we're rooting for Abby. I'm so slow.
Bobby Bones
It would take me, like, a year to read.
Tisha Allen
Amy and Abby are here. We're gonna spin it. Whoever it lands on is the loser. Okay, there's only two. If it lands on you, you are the loser. Ready? Everybody ready?
Lunchbox
We're doing it right now.
Tisha Allen
Right now.
Lunchbox
Okay, let's go.
Tisha Allen
Let's spin that wheel. Come on.
Eddie
Abby.
Morgan
Abby.
Tisha Allen
Abby. Abby. Abby. Abby. Abby. Abby. It's Amy. You know what?
Amy
Okay. And the irony here is I brought this book to y'all. I mean, I didn't come up with this competition, but I just said, hey, have y'all heard about this? Because apparently it's all the rage.
Tisha Allen
Would you read it, Eddie, for $500? Whoa, wait, whoa, hold on.
Amy
Whoa, whoa.
Lunchbox
Let me think.
Tisha Allen
I didn't offer the. I didn't offer a dollar. I just asked.
Eddie
Why are you even hesitating?
Lunchbox
That's a dollar a page.
Amy
Yeah, I just said that.
Tisha Allen
That's literally what she just said.
Lunchbox
I didn't listen.
Tisha Allen
Okay.
Lunchbox
I didn't hear that.
Tisha Allen
Her accent just. Dick. We don't understand.
Lunchbox
She's from Texas, man.
Tisha Allen
I didn't hear that.
Amy
So are you. You're from Texas.
Tisha Allen
Oh, yeah. True, true. Okay, just think about it.
Lunchbox
Let me see.
Tisha Allen
We'll talk in the post show about it. Okay. After we get off the air. After we get off the air, we continue to do the show. So we get off the air in another hour. So we continue to do this show. You hear a whole podcast version. We'll talk about that too. Okay.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Tisha Allen
Amy's the loser, but we'll see what's up. It's the best bits of The Week with Morgan Number two.

Over the years, we have had Some incredible guests, people like Courteney Cox, star of the infinitely beloved sitcom Friends, egot winner Viola Davis, and former prime minister of the UK Tony Blair. And now, Mini Questions is returning for another season. We've asked an entirely new set of guests our seven questions, including Jane Lynch, Delaney Rowe and Cord Jefferson. Each episode is a new person story with new lessons, new memories and new connections. To show us how we're both similar and unique, listen to Mini questions on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Seven questions, limitless answers.
Bobby Bones
Lainey Wilson stopped by the studio. She has so much going for her right now, and she's been doing some really big things, including performing at the Dallas Cowboys game you might have remembered in the fall. So she kind of talked about some behind the scenes with that. Also new stuff that's happening this year for 2025. Just all around, all the updates from Lainey Wilson. And it's always super fun when she comes in because she's just a great person. So here it is, Lainey Wilson in.
Tisha Allen
Studio number two on the Bobby Bones Show. Now, Lainey Wilson. Lainey, good to see you.
Morgan
Good to see you.
Tisha Allen
Your song that's about to go number one is really hard for me to say.
Morgan
It's hard for me to say. It's a lot easier to sing.
Tisha Allen
Yeah. Because now I got it.
Morgan
Four by four by you.
Tisha Allen
Yeah.
Morgan
You have to do it like that.
Tisha Allen
Four by four by you.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
Yeah. When you guys were titling it.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
Did you go through a couple different variations?
Morgan
No, that's the one they came in with.
Tisha Allen
4X4Xu.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
Yeah. I like it. It's. It stands out. I just, I for some reason have trouble with that.
Morgan
Well, sometimes, like if I'm talking about it in my set of the show, instead of saying, and then let's play four by four by you, I just say, let's do four by.
Tisha Allen
I would say four by four you. And then I would get a note going. You didn't say it right. Do it again.
Morgan
Yeah, yeah. No, four by.
Tisha Allen
Congratulations again.
Morgan
Thank you.
Tisha Allen
I mean, are you tired or are you rested?
Morgan
I'm rested right now. I got like a three week break, which is the longest break I've had in a really long time.
Tisha Allen
Does that break allow you to be bored and then be creative again?
Morgan
Yes, I feel more creative than I have in a very long time. It's funny you say be bored because I kept saying, I need to get bored, I gotta get bored. So whatever that looks like, I need to Watch paint dry. But I feel more creative than ever. And I'm realizing that, like, you gotta give yourself that space to be bored.
Tisha Allen
To get creative, I had to get in that space too. I didn't realize it because I would just run and do 72 things and think that I was really accomplishing something. What I was doing is just tasking.
Morgan
That's it.
Tisha Allen
But then I would be so far behind on creating things to where even like last year, I was like, I've got to be bored. And it sounds like a lame thing to say.
Morgan
I know, but. But it's so true.
Tisha Allen
There are two places getting bored or in the shower. For me, for some reason, I'm like, able to think clearly in this. Maybe because there are no other options.
Morgan
I know. And a place for me now is, well, I come up with, like, song ideas in the shower. But also I just got me a red light sauna that things changed my life. And I leave my phone out of it. I get in there and I just, like, sit with me and my own thoughts, which is kind of a scary thing at times. But it's a good place just to shut it down. Like, really shut it down.
Tisha Allen
An admission we have a red light sauna as well. But I keep my phone in there until that little message goes, your phone's too hot. Throw it out. I swear. I know, it is terrible of me.
Morgan
That is hilarious.
Tisha Allen
You know, when you leave it on the sun, it'll go, phones too hot. I will keep it until it says that and then I'll.
Morgan
And then you let it cool off.
Tisha Allen
And then I'll lay it outside. Yeah, I just. I just felt self shame when she told her story of, like, having.
Morgan
I mean, I've definitely taken it in there before. Yeah, that's hilarious.
Tisha Allen
I have some. And I usually don't do this, but I feel like some of these are so interesting. I have some talking points and I always get talking points from your people. And sometimes we hit them, sometimes we don't. But some of them are so interesting because again, you've done so much. I would like to just hit a point and you tell me a story about each of them.
Morgan
Let's do it.
Tisha Allen
Number one, you co hosted the CMAs with Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan. What's your favorite story from that?
Morgan
Oh, my gosh. Well, first of all, Luke is like, right before, he'll be like, hey, let's switch it up. Let's do this. And I was about to have a heart attack. He's the kind of dude that can do Anything on the fly like that. Not me. I'm like, I'm reading this prompter, and I'm doing a good job to read the prompter. You know, there were a few times when I was, like, squinting my eyes because I had terrible vision. And so the next week, I went and got Lasik. I said, if I'm gonna be reading teleprompters, and we can't be doing all this.
Tisha Allen
So you got Lasik? Because, I mean, probably. Do you wear glasses at all?
Morgan
Yeah. So I got glasses when I was in fourth grade. Terrible, terrible vision. But it was after the CMAs where I was like, I need to do something about this.
Tisha Allen
Did it help?
Morgan
100%.
Tisha Allen
That's what Eddie said, too.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah. That's amazing.
Tisha Allen
I have one eye that doesn't work. My right eye doesn't work. Gets, like, 8% vision. But that's a. It's a brain thing. I would love to go get Lasik because we have people that. That we know that Dulasik, and it's a game changer. And you're saying from experience. It's totally changed everything.
Morgan
It's totally changed everything. And I wasn't the best about taking my contacts out. You know how it is on the road. You're just, like, doing good to get in the bed, and it's changed everything. I can see the big E now.
Tisha Allen
The big E. The big E. You.
Morgan
Know, when you're doing your eyes.
Tisha Allen
Oh, the eye exam.
Lunchbox
I was wondering, too.
Tisha Allen
I like the big E. Is this sometime. Got it. What's Peyton Manning like to work with?
Morgan
He's awesome. He is very chill. Him and my boyfriend, they're buddies and have gone hunting together and have so much to talk about. So it's like he wants to talk about Duck with me.
Tisha Allen
Duck your boyfriend?
Morgan
Yes, yes, yes.
Tisha Allen
The halftime show of the Cowboys game. Thanksgiving. That's pretty cool.
Morgan
38 million households tuning in. I'm glad they didn't tell me that until it was over.
Tisha Allen
What do we not know about that? Meaning what can you hear? How is it different than a normal show?
Morgan
So my vocal. My vocal was live, but the band that was all tracks because it's too. It's too much to, like, get out there and make sure the instruments are all tuned at when it's a, like, quick turnover like that. So the only thing that was live was my vocal. So my band had it easy that night.
Tisha Allen
Do they. Did they fake play?
Morgan
Yeah. They have to mime that. Yep.
Tisha Allen
That's funny, because I know I'd get caught not doing it, or I'd get caught, like, doing something weird. I know.
Lunchbox
What about the drums?
Tisha Allen
Are they.
Lunchbox
They hitting the drums?
Morgan
They're still playing. They're still doing all of the things.
Amy
It's just not plugged in.
Morgan
But it's just not like going through the. The pa because that would have been. Because you know how it is in a stadium. It's, like, lots of. Lots of feedback and delay and delay and talk about technical difficulties. I mean, we were running into them, like, seconds leading into the performance. I could not hear myself in my ears at all. And I thought, well, Lord, here we go.
Tisha Allen
And your hometown. Like, how. How's Baskin doing?
Morgan
Baskin's good. They just named the highway after me. No way.
Amy
The entire highway.
Morgan
A little part of the highway. The same highway that I got a ticket on when I was 15, so that's funny.
Tisha Allen
That's pretty cool. Have you seen the sign yourself? Yeah, I did take a picture by it.
Morgan
Oh, yeah.
Tisha Allen
That's pretty cool.
Morgan
It is pretty cool.
Tisha Allen
Now you can't, like, commit a crime. There's, like, a pressure. Like, my hometown put up a sign on me. I was like, well, I can't.
Morgan
I know now I have to. I've just been itching to.
Tisha Allen
Me, too. Like, I was literally gonna rob a bank the next day, and I was.
Morgan
Like, I can't do that. Well, yeah, that'll hold you accountable. Just get a highway, and that will hold you accountable.
Tisha Allen
What's happening this year? Like, what are you excited about in 2025?
Morgan
We're about to go across the pond. I'm excited to play Paris. I didn't even know there were country music fans in Paris, but there are.
Tisha Allen
Do you worry about and have. Because you can get tickets. You know, our show's on internationally in some places, so if you're listening to this and you want to go watch Laney in Zurich or Berlin or London. London. I feel like a lot of country music fans, for sure. Yeah. But Paris, you're right. And I see the Paris show in March. Do you look at, like, ticket sales for them to go? Is anybody even gonna buy a ticket in Paris?
Morgan
Well, we were worried, like, because the truth is, lots of country artists don't go to. To Paris. I think a handful of them have. I think Luke Holmes did once, and I was like, well, let's just say. Let's just have a very, very small venue. It'll just be, you know, acoustic or whatever we need to do just to, like, show face and go see, like, test the waters and Then we sold out in just a few minutes. So then we just. We kept, like, getting bigger venues.
Tisha Allen
That's cool.
Amy
Love that.
Tisha Allen
Have you played anywhere where they don't know English yet or English isn't their first language?
Morgan
Yes. Germany.
Tisha Allen
How did that go? Do they sing it? Does it sound weird when they sing it back?
Morgan
If you're watching their mouths when you're trying to remember your own lyrics, it can get pretty risky. So you have to look at their forehead.
Tisha Allen
I feel like they would be extremely grateful for American acts to come overseas. Not because they're just dying for American acts, but anybody that they like, if they do travel all that way. I feel like that would be a very, like, grateful crowd.
Morgan
They are very grateful. That's the best word to use for all of the country music fans across the pond, because you can just tell they love storytelling, and you can tell that storytelling is not oversaturated over there. And so they're just, like, on the edge of their seat. They just want to hear it. They want to lean in and listen. So it's important for me to remember that I had more fans over there than I did here back in, like, 2018, 2019.
Tisha Allen
You're like the boy bands of the 90s. They were massive over in Europe, and they came over in America, and people.
Morgan
Were like, I wasn't massive. I just.
Tisha Allen
You were NSync. You were in sync.
Morgan
That was it. I was. That was me.
Tisha Allen
I want to do deep questions with Lanie Wilson. I've got three very deep questions.
Morgan
Okay, Think about these here.
Tisha Allen
If your next five years were a chapter in a book, what do you think that chapter would be about?
Morgan
Balance. Actually, Keith Urban said something to me, I guess, about a year ago. I was just like, how do you. How do you keep that balance? Like, with. With your work, with family, with making sure that you're taking care of your business, but also taking care of your relationships and friendships and all that. And he told me, he said, it's better to maintain balance than try to always achieve it. And I was like, to me, that means being able to. To have just as much time with my people and the people that I love as just as much time as I'm working and putting, you know, not putting my eggs all in one basket.
Tisha Allen
Question number two. What is a lesson that you learned the hard way?
Morgan
Oh, lord. Don't go 75 and a 45 now.
Tisha Allen
Are you being literal?
Morgan
No.
Tisha Allen
Okay, fair.
Morgan
I mean, well, yes, I've definitely gone 75 and a 45. But, yeah, I think, like, Slowing down. Like, taking a breath, looking up, enjoying it. Because those moments can, like, pass you by. And everybody says it, you know, they're like, make sure you're taking time to be present. And I just. I think I just heard that and heard it over and over again, but didn't quite understand it until maybe I did let some moments pass me by too quick.
Tisha Allen
I think the understanding of it comes once you've had the experience of not doing it right.
Morgan
Yes.
Tisha Allen
Otherwise, it's just frou frou words.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
Because there have been times, too, where I've just gone again, 10,000 miles an hour. And I regret not slowing down, but I don't think I would have slowed down later and appreciated it later.
Morgan
Yes.
Tisha Allen
Had I not done it wrong initially.
Morgan
That's right. And two, I felt like when I was going 75 and a 45, at times, it was important, you know, squeaky wheel gets the grease. And I felt like I needed to keep the pedal down to. To keep. Just keep going. And had I not. I mean, things might not look like they do right now, so I wouldn't, like, go back and really change it all, but I'm just learning. I'm just. I'm growing.
Tisha Allen
Do you get nervous about any project coming out? Let's say not music. And I can give you a quick version of this. I have a comedy special coming out soon on a network, and it's super cool, but I'm like, it's like that new. Oh, God, this is gonna suck. Or it's gonna be awesome. Either way, it makes me nervous. But I've just been through it so many times that. And it's been fine either way. If it bombs or it's awesome.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
That I'm like, regardless, I'm gonna wake up the next day. Like, I've bombed so many things. Even if it goes terrible, like, I'm good.
Morgan
That's right.
Tisha Allen
Do you. Do you deal with that where you're like, I'm a little nervous about this. But now you have the experience to know. Either way, sun comes up tomorrow.
Morgan
Yes. I will say, even with this record that we put out in August Whirlwind, I definitely had that feeling of, like, oh, shoot. Like, I hope people think that this is, like, a step up. You know, we gotta level up. But I also knew that it was still the best thing I had ever done, and I was more proud of it than anything that I'd ever done. So I was like, well, if I can go to sleep at night, lay my head down and really believe that then I did my job.
Tisha Allen
Can you hold on to that as the project gets closer to coming out?
Morgan
No, I know.
Tisha Allen
I was just talking about therapist about it yesterday. Same thing.
Morgan
Dude.
Tisha Allen
I know.
Morgan
It's like somebody was telling me. I can't. I can't remember who it was. It was another artist. They were like. It's like you're about to send your kid off to school for the first time, and, you know, you're. You are so excited. You're like, get these kids out of the house. Like, send them to school. Put their butt in school. And then all of a sudden, like, the days are. They're getting here, and you're scared and you're nervous and you're sad, and you have a lot of feelings that come along with it. I'm sure you do.
Tisha Allen
Final question. Deep questions with Lanie. What would you do if you were not afraid that you haven't done? What would you do if you were not afraid? Straight up.
Morgan
I mean, skydive. But.
Amy
Would you be allowed to do that right now at this point in your career? Would your people be like, can we hold off on that? Things are looking up.
Morgan
You know what? I think I'm gonna go book me an appointment today. Let's see what they say.
Tisha Allen
I went skydiving because I was so afraid of it. Went by myself.
Morgan
Really?
Tisha Allen
Yeah, because I was just terrified of it, and I was like, I gotta go do it. I hated it. I would again. I didn't tell anybody I was doing it.
Morgan
Like, you wouldn't do it again?
A.J. Jacobs
No.
Tisha Allen
God, no. I hated it. But I did it. But I only did it because I was so afraid to do it.
Morgan
Yeah. And I normally do things that I'm afraid of, too, so I keep talking about being afraid of skydiving, which probably means that I am going to do it at some point in time, but I don't. I'm not, like, itching to do it.
Tisha Allen
I don't know. Have you been auditioning your stuff? Have people called? I don't know what you're. Are you at all trying to do more?
Morgan
I am definitely, like, open to the opportunities. I really loved it, so I'm excited to see what we do next with it. Maybe it's a character that's not a musician.
Tisha Allen
What if you did, like, cartoon voiceover? Like.
Morgan
Well, I did. I have done a couple things like that. I would love to do that. Like, if you need a redneck cartoon, I got you.
Tisha Allen
You know, that seems fun. And you have such a distinct voice. What was funny to me Was. And this has been a couple years when people. When you started to really pop, when people started questioning if your accent was real.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
I would just laugh.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
And that had to be weird for you too, where you're like, I've talked like this my whole life. And now people. You can literally go on your Instagram, go back in time, and see you talking like, you talk and where you're from. That's odd, huh?
Morgan
Oh, my gosh. Well, honestly, that bothered me more than anything else. They would say, you can tell me I'm ugly and I can't sing, but don't talk about the way I talk. That's something you can't change.
Tisha Allen
Yeah, it was weird for them. She's an industry plant. She doesn't even talk like that. I know. Like, you guys are just looking for people to get likes on social media.
Morgan
That's it.
Tisha Allen
Congratulations again. 4x4 by you about to be number one again.
Morgan
Thank you.
Tisha Allen
It's really great to see you.
Morgan
You too, ma'am.
Tisha Allen
If I give you just a few song titles, can you give me a quick story about them? Because we're gonna do a whole bunch of songs.
Morgan
Let's do it.
Tisha Allen
Okay. Give me a story about Heart Like a Truck.
Morgan
Heart like a Truck. My goodness. Well, I brought a little girl up on stage in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was the cutest thing. You can see the video on my Instagram. Her name was Savannah. And she jumps up on stage, and we had already sang Heart Like a Truck. And she jumps up there and she's like, lainey Wilson, you're my best friend. She talked just like me. I was like, what in the world? And she was like, you're my best friend. And my daddy said, if I can get up on stage, he's going to buy me a horse trailer. My favorite song is Heart Like a Truck. And so she starts singing, y'all, you gotta go watch. Is the cutest thing ever.
Tisha Allen
I think it's pinned of all the memories with that song. That's awesome that that still comes to your mind. Like an interaction with a fan at a concert.
Morgan
Yes.
Tisha Allen
And you even know she was gonna get a horse trailer?
Amy
Well, I want follow through on that. Like, hopefully the dad that she got.
Morgan
A horse trailer be better. I FaceTimed her probably about two months ago, and I need to catch up with her now. But they were looking at horse trailers and they were figuring it out. She FaceTimed me and showed me her whole farm and. And she was. Introduced me to her cats. It was the cutest Thing.
Tisha Allen
Let's do one more. Things a man ought to know.
Morgan
Oh, my gosh. I was hungover the day that I wrote that. I did not want to go to the co write and I felt terrible, but I knew the song was special. We get ready to cut the record. The record, the song was not even on the list. Not even on the short list. And I remember where I was on Dickerson pike heading home, and I was going under an overpass. And I swear to you, it just hit me like a ton of bricks. I was like, things a man ought to know. We gotta cut it. And so we already had our 12 songs picked out for that record. And I called the label and I said, we got to figure out what to ditch because we got to do things, man. I don't know.
Tisha Allen
That's cool. And then you look at your genius later when it then you get hungover more is what I think.
Morgan
That's what I'm saying.
Tisha Allen
I just get hungover all the time. I'll have these great ideas.
Morgan
I know.
Amy
Do you remember why you were hungover, though? Like, alcohol?
Morgan
I'm sure it had something to do with Red Door.
Amy
I know it was alcohol, but I didn't know if there was something celebratory the night before that like, you remember or if it was just like, random fun.
Morgan
There was a time in my life where I was celebrating everything. That was probably what was happening.
Tisha Allen
Well, always great to see you. Congratulations. Love when you're around you guys. Follow ainiewilsonmusic and again, she's doing a bunch of shows over in Europe. Like a lot of places probably haven't been that I haven't been that I only ever see on tv.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
First time I ever traveled, I was like, I'm only going places I've ever seen on TV because I didn't know of places. And then it was kind of cool because everything's so old over there.
Morgan
I love it.
Tisha Allen
The buildings are older than our country.
Morgan
I know.
Tisha Allen
That are weird. It's weird.
Morgan
It is very weird.
Tisha Allen
Congratulations, Lainey. Love seeing you There she is. Lainey Wilson, everybody. Thank you. It's the best bits of the week with Morgan Number two.
Bobby Bones
As you might have heard, the Bobby Bone show is going on a cruise, which is a huge deal. But more than that, we just announced the first performer who's also joining us on the cruise, major country artist. Get excited. I'm not even just saying, like, you know, amp you up, get excited for it to kind of be an announcement. No, no, no. This is so exciting. Get Ready to pop the confetti. You're gonna freak out.
Tisha Allen
Number one, we're going on a cruise. I kept a secret from the whole show. We're doing a show cruise. It's in a year from now, so February of 2026. And I'd never been on a cruise before, and you guys have talked me into it. I'm getting a little excited, if I'm being honest with you. Just because it'll be. I was really worried nobody would come. If you want to know the truth, that's it. But listeners are pre reserving their cabins like crazy, which is unbelievable to me. But I do have an announcement and we're gonna do that. And then Lunchbox is gonna ask a funny question about it, which I think's funny. Maybe he doesn't think it's funny. So first of all, there's this cruise that we're doing as a show. It's a seven day cruise on celebrity reflection. We're going to all these places. We leave from Fort Lauderdale. Now, I've been to Fort Lauderdale.
Lunchbox
It's nice.
Tisha Allen
Yeah, it's fine. But I'm just saying we leave from there, but then we go to Nevis. Never been there. We go to St. Kitts. Never been there. We go to St. Martin. Never been there. So that'll be cool. Eddie and I, the Raging Idiots, will be performing. Amy, Lunchbox, Eddie. They're coming. I assume Morgan's coming. Do you know anything about it? Oh, yeah, I told nobody anything.
Lunchbox
You need to reserve a cabin.
Tisha Allen
Yeah, you gotta get cabin. Yeah, get a cabin. Bobbybones.com But I do want to make an announcement about the ship, which again, the show doesn't know this yet. I told you guys there would be some surprises joining the Top Shelf country cruise as the headlining act. Well, I thought it was gonna be the Raging idiot.
Lunchbox
Oh, it's not us.
Tisha Allen
It's not us. It's a different night. But playing Keith Urban. Wow.
Lunchbox
He's gonna be on the boat.
Tisha Allen
He's gonna be on the boat. Whoa.
Lunchbox
That's amazing.
Tisha Allen
I know.
Eddie
I can't believe it either.
Amy
What else? So, so when, like when.
Tisha Allen
I don't. I don't know any answers. Oh, you can ask me whatever. I don't know. Okay, go ahead.
Amy
I'm not gonna ask anything since you don't know.
Tisha Allen
Okay. But you feel free to ask.
Minnie Driver
Okay.
Tisha Allen
And go ahead and ask what you're gonna ask.
Amy
Oh, I was gonna say, like headlining. Like when's the headlining night? Or I don't know.
Lunchbox
Good question.
Tisha Allen
There you go. I don't know. So it's the final days to get it on the pre sale. Go to bobbybones.com to reserve your cabin. You can reserve your Cabin through Sunday, February 9th. Produced by Signature Cruise Experiences. Gold standard for Charter Cruises since 2001. Do you have any other questions about that?
Amy
Do Max, like, stay in a cabin? Are they like, chopper in, chopper out?
Tisha Allen
I don't know. I know we're not. There's no chopper for us.
Lunchbox
Keith Ernest gonna be on our boat. Dude, that's crazy.
Tisha Allen
I don't know anything. Lunchbox does have a question, though. Go ahead.
Eddie
Yeah, and I don't know why you think it's funny. I just want to get verbal confirmation that our kids are allow to come on the cruise. Because when we started talking about it, I was like, oh, my goodness. A family vacation. I went home, I started talking to my kids about it. We got online, started looking at pictures of the boat, and now they see, like, cruise ships in like, TV shows like, dad, that's the boat. That's the boat. And I'm like, well, that's not the exact boat.
Tisha Allen
Amy, what do you think the answer is?
Amy
I'm gonna think it's a no.
Tisha Allen
It's a no.
Eddie
What do you mean?
Tisha Allen
This is a work thing. This is not a. This is not a vacation.
Lunchbox
We're working, but his kids can buy.
Tisha Allen
We're doing this.
Amy
Listen, but I don't know if there's an age thing also. Lunchbox keeps his kids out of everything, and now you're gonna bring them onto a boat with listener. Like, you know, you don't even.
Tisha Allen
Yeah. If it's listeners bringing kids, I don't know. We're working.
Morgan
Yeah.
Tisha Allen
This is a work. It's like bringing your kids to this room here. So. No, but I'm not gonna be working.
Eddie
24 hours a day. I mean, there's gonna be breaks, and then that's when I get family time. And it's the perfect time for my.
Tisha Allen
Kids to see the world. Yeah. If you want to pay for them to come. Yes. But do you. Does everybody get to bring their families for free? No.
Lunchbox
That's a lot of kids.
Tisha Allen
It's a lot of kids. Yes. So the answer is if you want to buy. If you. Because you can get in that pre sale bobbybones.com to reserve your cabin through February 9th. You can do that.
Eddie
How am I going to go back to my kids and be like, oh, sorry, guys. Actually, Bobby said you guys can't come.
Tisha Allen
No, Bobby didn't say it. You should have told him you could come to begin with.
Amy
Yeah, that's kind of.
Eddie
They saw that big boat and they were out of their minds, like, oh, my gosh. I've never seen a boat that big.
Amy
Well, you didn't have to.
Eddie
That might have been there.
Tisha Allen
Take them on a cruise. Take them on this cruise. But you can pay for it. But. Yeah, no, that everybody. You can't bring your kids.
Lunchbox
No, I haven't told them for that reason. Because they'd want to go.
Tisha Allen
Yeah.
Eddie
Wow.
Tisha Allen
All right.
Eddie
This is gonna get awkward at my house.
Amy
My daughter will be 18 by then. Isn't that weird?
Tisha Allen
Yeah.
Eddie
Yeah. But she can't come.
Tisha Allen
She can't. If she gets a cabin, buys a cabin.
Amy
Well, what if she stays in my cabin with me?
Eddie
No, that's what I just said, Amy. I just said the same thing and you told me no, so don't act like all of a sudden.
Tisha Allen
Now your daughter, she's k. She's literally kidding.
Lunchbox
Amy's daughter is not a kid. It's an adult.
Tisha Allen
But she's literally kidding. He gets friggin flamed out of his ears as she's dying.
Amy
Yeah, she's probably gonna be in school in February.
Eddie
Yeah, it's called spring break.
Amy
No, spring break is normally in March.
Lunchbox
That's not March.
Tisha Allen
