Morgan
We are here for the listener Q and A. Eddie is joining me. What's up, Eddie?
Eddie
What's up, Morgan?
Morgan
You ready to answer some listener questions?
Eddie
Yeah. Hey, give me. Give me the hard ones. Like. Like, do people ever, like, why is Eddie a douche? Like, does anyone ever say that?
Morgan
No, maybe not that specific ones. Do you want those?
Eddie
No, but not really personal. No. No, but it's like, there's any hard ones. We're like, why is Eddie always talk about this? It's so stupid.
Morgan
No, I don't. I don't think you want some of those, Eddie.
Eddie
Oh, but you do have them, though, don't you?
Morgan
Like, one or two. Very rarely.
Eddie
So what do they say?
Morgan
Don't. Don't worry about it. Okay.
Eddie
What do they say? Give it to me, Morgan. I want to tackle it.
Morgan
You don't. Okay, I'm texting you, and you're not gonna want to.
Eddie
Yeah, text me. Let me see. Text me. People are so mean, man. Why are people so mean?
Morgan
I know it's not super mean, but it's. Yeah, I texted you. It. It's just. There's just, like, personal stuff, and I.
Eddie
Oh, I got you. I got you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Morgan
You know, there's just.
Eddie
We're not gonna address that one.
Morgan
Yeah. I try and protect you guys as much as I can.
Eddie
Yeah. There's anything bad. I just don't want to go there. Okay.
Morgan
Exactly. So that's.
Eddie
I got you. I got you.
Morgan
I got you. You opened up that can of worms.
Eddie
What's funny, though. What's funny is that you asked, like, all right, guys, like, what questions you want for Eddie, and, like, that's what they come up with. Interesting. Yeah, interesting. Okay.
Morgan
And now we did something that they don't like is.
Eddie
I know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I really was like, just give it to me and I'll answer it.
Morgan
But no. And I was protecting you.
Eddie
Yeah. And that one's not even protecting me. It's protecting others, really.
Morgan
I know. Okay, we're going to move on.
Eddie
Move on. Moving right along.
Morgan
Starting with some shout outs. I vote for Eddie to be your guest every weekend. Love his positive spirit. That is from Carolyn. That's cool.
Eddie
I like that Carolyn. See?
Morgan
Love how Eddie rocks the clean shaved head. That is Jane in Ohio.
Eddie
Oh, thanks, Jane. I will say I do like the clean shaved head. Like, because I'll let it grow for a couple days and when I shave it clean, it's like, woo. Feels good. Feels fresh.
Morgan
Yeah, but do you like, like the little stubble? Cause like, I'll shave my face because, you know, dermaplane, that's the thing.
Eddie
Excuse me.
Morgan
Women do.
Eddie
Excuse me.
Morgan
Yeah, it's dermaplane. It makes your face look all glossy.
Eddie
Do you put shaving cream on and everything?
Morgan
No, I go to somebody and she doesn't because I. If I. Listen, Eddie, they try and shave my neck and I have neck phobia, so it's a whole thing.
Eddie
What do you mean? No one can touch your neck?
Morgan
Yeah, you know, we've talked about this before. I have like a thing. If you touch my neck, I'll literally like, it's like a body response and I'll like, karate chop you.
Eddie
You'll kill me.
Morgan
Well, I was gonna say. I was gonna say like, gut punch you and it felt weird. So karate.
Eddie
Hey, you know what would also be weird? If I touched your neck.
Morgan
Exactly. But like, Lunchbox always hits me in.
Eddie
Studio, so can't do that.
Morgan
You never know.
Eddie
Punch him back.
Morgan
Marching band for life. And quit being a hater. That's from Sarah.
Eddie
Oh, that's just funny. That's just being funny. Guys don't hate on me.
Morgan
Natalia said, I love you guys. And Morgan, I'm so happy for you and the boyfriend.
Eddie
Yeah, me too. Morgan, I'm happy for you and the boyfriend.
Morgan
Yeah. Okay, Mr. Troll, you join the studio when I get troll on that, Mr. Eddie.
Eddie
No, no, no. I just laugh and I enjoy the ride. I never jump on and throw jabs. I like just enjoying the ride because we're wherever you take them. Morgan is just a great place. Especially when they're all shocked.
Morgan
Well, it's probably because I'm just the one over here who' going about my whole life being on air all the time.
Eddie
You got to admit, though, is that whatever you said was shocking.
Morgan
It wasn't. You guys, I think it's.
Eddie
I think it's hilarious that you didn't think it was shocking.
Morgan
Hey, different upbringings, you know? Different life. For sure.
Eddie
For sure. Hey, different strokes, different folks.
Morgan
Is that TV show Family?
Eddie
I don't know. I don't know. No, not Family Strokes. Those are two different ones. Family Matters in Different Strokes.
Morgan
Oh, there is one that called Different Strokes.
Eddie
Yeah, but that's old man.
Morgan
Oh, my gosh.
Eddie
That's, like, before me. Me.
Morgan
Listen, I get. What is the other family one?
Eddie
Family Matters.
Morgan
No, but what's the other one?
Eddie
Family Ties.
Morgan
Family Ties. Family Matters. Different Strokes. I get those three TV shows confused all the time.
Eddie
I get it. I get it. This is way before you. Like, why would you even know those shows even existed?
Morgan
I know Urkel. I just know, like, the character Urkel, but that's about it.
Eddie
And what show is that?
Morgan
Family Matters.
Eddie
Correct.
Morgan
Yeah, I'm getting there. I'm trying to piece it together because I keep getting freaking older generation questions all the time, and I don't know anything.
Eddie
I know. And how do you even study for that?
Morgan
I'm gonna have to start, like, going online and taking generational trivia questions. Okay. Laura from New Mexico says, I love your voice. I hear no nasal at all.
Eddie
Oh, thanks, Laura. I mean, it is my voice. Not much I can do about that.
Morgan
I know. See, I like your voice, too. I don't. I don't hear it. But also, I hate my own voice, so don't look at me.
Eddie
I wonder there's anyone that loves their own voice.
Morgan
No, but you know what? Speaking of. Speaking of our voices, Troy in Orlando, this is a funny question, wants to know, if we had to describe our voices as a flavor, what would it be?
Eddie
Ooh, a flavor.
Morgan
And we for sure are going to hear our voices different than other people. So just know that we are hearing our voices in a certain way than you probably are right now, listening to us.
Eddie
Mine would be mint chocolate chip.
Morgan
Is that just because you like mint chocolate chip?
Eddie
No, no, no. I. I feel like the letter M is what makes my voice different. Like, Like, M makes the nasal. Maybe to, like, ns. I don't know. To me, the letter M is like, whenever I can really hear my. My nasal ness. Like, if I say, like, Eddie, I don't hear nasal, but I say Morgan, I hear nasal, but so, like, mint chocolate chip, and it's greenish. I always feel like the sound of my voice is kind of greenish. Like. Like, you know how you put, like, colors to sounds? Do you ever do that? Or is that just me? Am I. Am I weird?
Morgan
You're not weird. I don't know that I've ever, like, thought about it.
Eddie
Yeah, like. Like certain songs have a color to them.
Morgan
What are you like, isn't that something that Stevie Wonder does?
Eddie
I don't know. I don't know. I've heard Bobby talk about it, but I'm not like a musician that does that. I'm just a consumer of music that does that.
Morgan
Okay.
Eddie
You know what I mean? Like, I hear music, I hear songs and be like, ah, that song reminds me of baby blue. Or like, just has a color designated to it. And for me, my voice is green, which is kind of mint chocolate chip cook greenish.
Morgan
So it's like that green. Not a lime green frog type color?
Eddie
No, no, it's like a. Like a minty green. Yeah.
Morgan
What color would you describe my voice as?
Eddie
Purple.
Morgan
That's interesting.
Eddie
Purple.
Morgan
Purple.
Eddie
I don't. I don't know why.
Morgan
It just. That's what it sounds like to you?
Eddie
I don't know why. Yeah, it just sounds purplish.
Morgan
Purple is my adult favorite color.
Eddie
Is it really?
Morgan
Yeah.
Eddie
What was your kid favorite color?
Morgan
I really loved blue, but not like blue, like royal blue. I loved like a teal kind of blue.
Eddie
Yeah, me too. That's my favorite color.
Morgan
Teal blue.
Eddie
Yeah, like a. Like a. Like a ocean blue. You know, blue. Blue. Green. Blue green.
Morgan
Yeah. Kind of like an algae a little bit color.
Eddie
Yes, absolutely.
Morgan
Yeah, I like that color too. Seafoam. All those, like, just that kind of family. I loved those colors. Okay. Mint chocolate chip.
Eddie
I mean, that's a. That's a cool question, because it's so, like, out there.
Morgan
I know. And it makes you think. I think the first thing that came to mind for me, I was thinking more personality and tone of my voice, and I went, margarita.
Eddie
Hey, Morgan, I love margaritas.
Morgan
I know you do, and that's not why I chose it.
Eddie
No, I know. I know that. I didn't think that's why you chose it, but, like, margaritas are the best thing in the whole wide world. Well, I know that might be my favorite drink of all time.
Morgan
Really?
Eddie
Yeah. And there's no way it's good for you. A lot of sugar, a lot of salt.
Morgan
There's skinny margaritas, so you can always have a skinny mark.
Eddie
Nah, I like the house. That's. Whenever I go to a restaurant, I'm like, give me your house margarita. Like how you would make it.
Morgan
I can't have those anymore because I'm allergic to agave. It's dumb, really.
Eddie
But that's. But see, agave is. Is one of those unique things where it's not in a Lot of things.
Morgan
I know, but it's in margaritas, and I love a margarita.
Eddie
You can do a margarita without agave.
Morgan
Yeah, I've tried. It's just not the same, you know, not the same experience.
Eddie
I'm sorry.
Morgan
But let me tell you why I think margarita.
Eddie
Go ahead.
Morgan
Because I think my voice has a little salt to it, a little saltiness. I think my voice has a little bit of spice sometimes. And I also think my voice can also be sweet. Like, I can have these tones where I can be sarcastic or sassy or normal. And I feel like a margarita is very much like that. Like, I'm very animated with my voice, so I feel like a margarita is very flexible and does a lot of that different. You know what I mean?
Eddie
That's very interesting. I. I think it's interesting that you took. I think that you're trying to say your voice, as in, like, the things you say.
Morgan
Yeah, that's kind of the route I took, because I wasn't sure, because I was thinking, like, flavor is like a taste.
Eddie
So how do I. I like it. I like it because you're like. You are a little salty. You are a little sweet. Get that. But that's not where I took flavor. That's not where I took voice. I didn't take voice in that direction.
Morgan
Well, you could also say I'm a sour patch kid, because that is something that people call me. Like, I'm a sour patch kid. You never know what you're going to get.
Eddie
Yes, yes. But. But what about your voice, though? The sound of your voice, like, you have a little gargle to you.
Morgan
Stupid thyroid.
Eddie
Right. But your voice always has a little gargle to it, but not always.
Morgan
Not right now.
Eddie
No, you're right. You're right. But, like, so. So your actual texture of your voice, if that was a flavor, what would it be? Guacamole.
Morgan
Guacamole or guacamole cinnamon twist? Did you ever know that chant?
Eddie
Nah, never heard that.
Morgan
Guacamole. Taco Bell. Guacamole cinnamon twist.
Eddie
Sounds racist.
Morgan
Is it literally about taco.
Eddie
I'm joking. Is that a Taco Bell commercial?
Morgan
No, we used to do it at cheer camp.
Eddie
Okay. And that's exactly why I've never heard it.
Morgan
I didn't know if it was something that, like, they pulled from somewhere else. Don't ask me why we're talking about Taco Bell at cheer camp.
Eddie
You love Taco Bell, though.
Morgan
I do. I love Taco Bell. But I. I don't know my flavor. I really Went a different direction. I thought Margarita is kind of a flavor.
Eddie
I do like it. It is a flavor. Margarita is a flavor.
Morgan
I feel like it's margarita.
Eddie
I. I like that question. That's my favorite question so far.
Morgan
Well, we have another kind of fun one. We'll brainstorm. If you guys had a mascot for the station, what would it be? Kristen Texas.
Eddie
For, like, our. For the radio show?
Morgan
Yeah, I think for, like, us on the show. What would our mascot be?
Eddie
Man, that's a tough question.
Morgan
I know.
Eddie
Would it. Would it be a thing? Like, a thing. Like, would it be a thing in our studio?
Morgan
Mascots, a thing.
Eddie
No, but, like, a mascot could be, like, a horse, you know, like. Or, like. But. Or is it like an Arkansas helmet? Because it's, like, always in our studio. It's always there, you know? It's just always there. Like, what else?
Morgan
What about, like, a red blob?
Eddie
Because that's just. We're all red.
Morgan
Well, I'm looking in the studio, and there's so much red. Yeah, whatever it would be. Would have to be the color red.
Eddie
What about, like, just Bobby? Because, like, the glasses.
Morgan
Like, red glasses.
Eddie
Like, red glasses would be our mascot.
Morgan
That's kind of a lame mascot on our part.
Eddie
I know. That's a tough one. Like, lunchbox. Would he be your mascot? We are the Fighting Lunchboxes.
Morgan
A fighting red lunchbox.
Eddie
And he's red because he's mad all the time. That's what it is. Yeah. I don't know. That's a tough one. I don't know. What? I don't know.
Morgan
Okay, well, as we ask the other questions and stuff and move on, we'll see if we can come up with anything by the end.
Eddie
Okay.
Morgan
Okay, let's take a quick break real quick, and we'll start to go through the others.
Eddie
Okay.
Morgan
I'm Andrea Gunning, host of the podcast Betrayal. Police Lieutenant Joel Kern used his badge to fool everyone, most of all, his wife, Caroline. He texted, I've ruined our lives.
Eddie
You're going to want to divorce me.
Morgan
Caroline's husband was living another life behind the scenes. He betrayed his oath to his family and to his community.
Eddie
She said you left bruises, pulled her hair, that type of thing. No.
Morgan
How far would Joel go to cover up what he'd done? You're unable to keep track of all your lies, and quite frankly, I question how many other women may bring forward.
Eddie
Allegations in the future.
Morgan
This season of Betrayal investigates one officer's decades of deception. Lies that left those closest to him questioning everything they thought they knew. Listen to betrayal on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Eddie
I know a lot of cops and they get asked all the time, have you ever had to shoot your gun? Sometimes the answer is yes. But there's a company dedicated to a future where the answer will always be no. Across the country, cops called this Taser the Revolution. But not everyone was convinced it was that simple. Cops believed everything that Taser told them. From Lava For Good and the team that brought you Bone Valley comes a story about what happened when a multi billion dollar company dedicated itself to one visionary mission. This is Absolute Season one, Taser Incorporated. I get right back there and it's bad. It's really, really, really bad. Listen to new episodes of Absolute Season 1, Taser Incorporated on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. I'll then be joined in conversation by guests such as Western historian Dr. Randall Williams and best selling author and Meat eater founder Stephen Rinella. I'll correct my kids now and then where they'll say when cave people were here. And I'll say it seems like the Ice Age people that were here didn't have a real affinity for caves. So join me starting Tuesday, May 6th where we'll delve into stories of the west and come to understand how it helps inform the ways in which we experience the region today. Listen to the American west with Dan Flores on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Morgan
She was a decorated veteran, a Marine who saved her comrades, a hero. She was stoic, modest, tough, someone who inspired people. Everyone thought they knew her until they didn't.
Eddie
I remember sitting on her couch and asking her, is this real? Is this real?
Morgan
Is this real?
Eddie
Is this real? I just couldn't wrap my head around what kind of person would do that to another person that was getting treatment, that was, you know, dying.
Morgan
This is a story all about trust and about a woman named Sarah Kavanaugh. I've always been told I'm a really good listener, right?
Eddie
And I maximized that while I was lying.
Morgan
Listen to Deep Cover the Truth About Sarah on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Eddie
I think everything that might have dropped in 95 has been labeled the golden years of hip hop.
Morgan
It's Black Music Month, and we need the talk is tapping in. I'm Nyla Simone, breaking down lyrics, amplifying voices, and digging into the culture that sh. The soundtrack of our lives. My favorite line on there was my son and my daughter gonna be proud when they hear my old tapes. Now I'm curious, do they, like, rap along now?
Eddie
Yeah, because I bring him on tour with me, and he's getting older now, too, so his friends are starting to understand what that type of music is, and they're starting to be like, yo, your dad's like, really the goat. Like, he's a legend, so he gets it.
Morgan
What does it mean to leave behind a music legacy for your family?
Eddie
It means a lot to me. Just having a good catalog and just being able to make people feel good, like, that's what's really important, and that's what stands out, is that my music changes people's lives for the better. So the fact that my kids get to benefit off of that, I'm really happy, or my family in general.
Morgan
Let's talk about the music that moves us to hear this and more on how music and culture collide. Listen to we need to Talk from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Tracy in Washington wants to know if you miss having your hair and do you wish you cut it sooner?
Eddie
Tracy? Good question. Nah, I don't miss it. I don't miss it. It's been a while since I've been able to do anything with my hair, and I definitely don't miss going to get my hair cut, which is just a pain, right? Like, oh, I gotta get my haircut this week. Like, whatever. The fact that I can just shave it off in five minutes is pretty cool. And you know what, Morgan? What's awesome is I can do it all by myself now. When I first started, I'd always had to call my wife or my son and be like, hey, will you check the back of my head?
Morgan
You've gotten down to your routine, so you know, I gotta do it.
Eddie
I got a mirror, A mirror that.
Morgan
You hold and then you shave the back of your head.
Eddie
Yeah, A little hand mirror.
Morgan
That's impressive talent.
Eddie
Pretty cool. I, I, I mean, I gotta say, I'm pretty Proud of myself that I can do that now. And I. It's out of. I would say out of 10 times, only one time my wife was like, ooh, you missed a spot. And it was, like, tiny, but for the most part, I got it down.
Morgan
Listen, Eddie, that's impressive, because when I shave my legs, I always miss a spot, and I can look right at him.
Eddie
Yeah, it's normal. No, but. But the back of your leg, you really can't see well, no, but, like.
Morgan
You'Re definitely easier to see it than the back of your head. You literally can't turn your head around and look at the back of your head.
Eddie
I know, I know. But what's crazy, too, Morgan, is that, like, you try to do it in the mirror, because you look at your big mirror, and you look through your big mirror to the small hand mirror, and that's how you see it. So it's two layers, right. You look straight to the bathroom mirror, and you're seeing the reflection of your hand mirror.
Morgan
Yeah. That's.
Eddie
Which, like, if you think about it, you're doing double backwards. So, like, if I need to see the right side of my head, you got to move down. I don't know. I don't even know how to describe it, but. But it's so hard to, like, make your hand move that way.
Morgan
No, listen, it's impressive. You don't have to explain it twice to me, because I know that that's impressive as much as someone who does her hair. And you have to have multiple different areas of how you maneuver your hands. I get it.
Eddie
Yeah.
Morgan
I get what you're trying to say.
Eddie
And Scuba Steve gave me some little tips on, like, there's a spray after. Like, an aftershave spray. Oh, eucalyptus aftershave spray.
Morgan
Spray it all over your head.
Eddie
Oh, man. And it's soothing, and it's, like, cools your head down. And then once you're ready to leave, you get a little. Like, there's a lotion. Put a little lotion on it, and then you kind of lather up your head. It's a whole process, which is bald head care. I had no idea you had to do all that stuff.
Morgan
Well, it makes sense because you're, like, exposed to the elements.
Eddie
Correct. And you're. You're actually. You're. The skin in your head dries. Like, your scalp dries a little bit, and sometimes it can get flaky, so you got to keep it moisturized. You're laughing at me, Morgan, but I truly had no idea that this existed. And Scuba Steve was like, bro, bro, bro, bro. Like, you're a rookie. You gotta. You gotta buy. You buy this, buy that. He sent me a text with everything that I had to buy.
Morgan
I'm not laughing at you in your head and your new care. That's not it. I'm laughing because I'm, like, picturing you and Scuba having this conversation of, like, bald head care. And it's just funny. It just made me giggle.
Eddie
Scuba and I have had some deep conversations. Like, Scuba, in a weird way, is like a brother to me, where, you know, we can talk about everything. Parenting. One time, we were both having a really, really bad day at work. And. Oh, my. I'm not gonna say I can't talk.
Morgan
You can't do that twice, Eddie. You have to say it.
Eddie
This is so. I'm not even saying it's embarrassing, but we both cried.
Morgan
That's not embarrassing. And that's cool that you.
Eddie
But I don't know.
Morgan
An outlet.
Eddie
But I don't know if he wanted. He wanted me to say that.
Morgan
Has cried the best bits with me before.
Eddie
He has.
Morgan
Yeah. You all have.
Eddie
Actually, I haven't cried.
Morgan
I have. So it's fine. We all have. We've had moments.
Eddie
Yeah. We, like, we're just talking about stuff, and then we both just, like, hugged each other and cried. It was so. So. Yeah. But since then, we've. We've been like, next level friends.
Morgan
Yeah. You're bonded. You're cry bonded.
Eddie
Yeah. So I have no. I have no problem hitting him up and being like, help me with my head. We're close.
Morgan
I love that for you guys. And I'm proud of you, because that's a friend. Eddie, look at you go.
Eddie
Yeah. No, it's really cool.
Morgan
Are you still doing diamond art? I started because of him. Kathy in Florida.
Eddie
Kathy, you know what's like, I love diamond art. I really do. The problem is I did, like, six diamond art pieces, and now I'm like, what do I do with these? And so it's not so much about, like, doing the diamond art, which I love. And I think it's very therapeutic. And it's one of my favorite things to do. Just sit there and do diamond art. But afterwards, like, my. I'm not gonna put them up in my house. Like, they're not that cool looking. And then for the, like, you know, it's a Dallas Cowboys helmet.
Morgan
Like, also, you. You have your wife, who is an actual artist. She'd correct you put that on the wall next to hers, and she'd be like, no.
Eddie
Get that crap out of here. But, like, I. Yes. I haven't done one in a while. And I had a whole. I still have a whole kit with a bunch of different colors. And I probably have, like, six or seven that I have not done that are still sitting in my office. Also, too, my eyesight has gone wayward. Like, my nearsightedness.
Morgan
Oh, yeah.
Eddie
Is like, is. It's gone. Like, it's. It's slow. I'd say in the last, like, year, it's gone from like, oh, I gotta squint a little bit to, like. I can't see crap. Anything that's, like, you know, I don't know, elbows away from my eye. Does that make sense?
Morgan
Yeah.
Eddie
Like, anything that. That's. Anything that's that close, I can't see it at all. So I have to wear reading glasses to do diamond art. And if I have reading glasses for more than, like, 10 minutes on, I start getting dizzy.
Morgan
Yeah. And that's not as fun anymore, you know, Becomes like, you. Your head hurts and. Because wearing glasses is just you. Your head hurts after a course of time.
Eddie
Correct. So that's kind of what I'm dealing with with the diamond art. And so I've taken a little break. But I do love it. I think it's so cool.
Morgan
You gifted me one, too. And I did one one time. I did have fun doing it. It was very therapeutic for me.
Eddie
Do you want another one? I have another one.
Morgan
No, I'm okay. It was fun for that one time. I don't even have time to put the chair together, Eddie.
Eddie
I know. No, that's not true. That's not true. You do have time to put the chair together. You just. You. You chalk that down as a loss, and you're moving on. And I understand that's true.
Morgan
I. I prioritize many other things besides the chair and also diamond art.
Eddie
Because if you wanted that chair and to finish it, I know that you would do it.
Morgan
That is true. I would. I just don't. So you are correct.
Eddie
So. And while we're talking about it, get it out of the office.
Morgan
It wasn't mine.
Eddie
To me, it's still there. And somebody hid it behind that pillar. And they think that, like, oh, behind the pillar. Out of sight, out of mind. No, that's not true. We see it every day. Like, get rid of it.
Morgan
The problem is, I actually was going to go to the other day and finish it because I was like, okay, I'm just. Get this out of here. And I don't think I can find all the pieces anymore.
Eddie
And all the stripped screws.
Morgan
Yeah. Like, I don't know. So I might. I might bring my boyfriend up here one time and be like, hey, can you help me finish this so we can just get it out of here?
Eddie
Oh. Oh, you need a man to come help you finish it? I got you.
Morgan
I just don't want to do it, Eddie. I. Listen, now that he's part of my life, I'm like, I'm succeeding in a lot of things. And I'm like, okay, yeah, you can do it. I don't care.
Eddie
That's what you do.
Morgan
You know, you let go of some things when you.
Eddie
I get it. Yeah.
Morgan
Okay, we're going to end on this. It was. I believe his name was Tom. I don't know. It's not showing up on my thing now, but he had. Eddie, I want you to name your top five rock songs. And Morgan, I want you to name your top five 2000 pop songs.
Eddie
So mine are rock songs of all time.
Morgan
Yeah, your top five.
Eddie
Ooh.
Morgan
I know this is hard. I didn't give you, like, a.
Eddie
You know, this is so hard. Tom, if that's your real name, man, this is tough.
Morgan
And to be fair, since I didn't give you. I also didn't. I'm literally just thinking about it right now, so just know that I didn't have time either.
Eddie
Oh, man, this is tough. And I know I'm gonna say something stupid because the first one that came to my. My mind was A Sweet Child of Mine. Oh, you know that one?
Morgan
Yeah, yeah. I played that on Guitar Hero.
Eddie
Okay. Yeah, yeah. Guns N Roses rock songs.
Morgan
I know is because of Guitar Heroes. Please continue.
Eddie
You know, that's. That's pretty popular among, like, young women because, like, they really wouldn't know rock songs, really, unless their dads listen to them. You listen to it, you know?
Morgan
Yeah, my dad did not.
Eddie
What did your dad listen to? Oh, he listens to country. Yeah.
Morgan
Yeah.
Eddie
My Maria, Sweet child of mine. I gotta go older, like, classic classic rock. And I'm going to do Sweet Home Alabama. Wow. Two sweets. Pour some sugar on me.
Morgan
A lot of sweets.
Eddie
I mean, really has to. Has. Has to do with sweets. I gotta throw a Pearl Jam song in there. I will throw.
Morgan
You don't have to, you know.
Eddie
Yes, I do. Yes, I do. Yes, I do. And. And I would like to talk to you. Pause this bit for a second. I would like to talk to you about that. What? Like, I want to know what you listen to.
Morgan
You just went into Full dad mode. Just by the way you like. You flipp switch. And you're like, I'm gonna talk to you about this.
Eddie
Sit down for a second, Morgan. I want to talk to you about this. What songs that. Because you're like, I deserve to listen to Pearl Jam. I listened to. You probably listened to two seconds of a song and said, it's not for me.
Morgan
That's actually.
Eddie
What did you listen?
Morgan
True.
Eddie
What did you.
Morgan
I listened to five different songs because I wanted a sample size all the way through. Yes. And I felt like that's a decent sample size.
Eddie
And it's not fair. You probably did the old stuff. You probably did Evenflo Jeremy Alive.
Morgan
Okay. What do you mean, the old stuff? The old stuff is most of the things that people are known for.
Eddie
That's true. But. But there's a whole other side of Pearl Jam that's a lot softer and a lot more thought out.
Morgan
Okay. I'm gonna tell you, the five that I listened to.
Eddie
You didn't listen. You definitely didn't listen to Better Man. You didn't listen to Daughter.
Morgan
That's actually not true because I did their top 10 songs is what I pulled from.
Eddie
And you only listened to five, though.
Morgan
Yeah. And I'm gonna tell you which ones because I took them from different albums.
Eddie
Go ahead.
Morgan
I was trying. I told you sample size. I did do Even flow.
Eddie
Yeah. See, I would tell you immediately. You won't like that.
Morgan
I did Last Kiss.
Eddie
I mean, that's. It's a cover. I would. I wouldn't have given that to you.
Morgan
I did Yellow Lead better.
Eddie
You didn't like Yellow Lead better?
Morgan
Nope.
Eddie
That to me would have been one of my first to give to you. Okay.
Morgan
I did Just breathe.
Eddie
As I understand everybody throws in. Do you remember when Dirk Spanley came in and played that for us?
Morgan
Yeah. And I liked it when he did it.
Eddie
Okay. See, that's messed up. Next.
Morgan
And then I did do Better, man. Those are the five I did.
Eddie
And you literally just thought they sucked. Like it wasn't for you.
Morgan
It wasn't like they sucked. Like, I. I was trying to give you a hard time. I just wasn't a fan. Like, it's not something I'm going to go back and listen to and put on my playlist or have in my rotation.
Eddie
Wow.
Morgan
And I just also. I'm just not a huge. I shouldn't say not rock. I just like more of the upbeat, vibey type songs. And Pearl Jim just really isn't in that category in general.
Eddie
Okay.
Morgan
Would you disagree yeah. You think they're upbeat and vibey? Yeah, we have different. Different terms of upbeat and 5E.
Eddie
I mean, vibey, like. Yes. It's not like, look at me, I'm having fun. Not that. But I mean, it's upbeat and it's like high energy and definitely produces a vibe.
Morgan
You know? I guess we just have different vibes.
Eddie
I mean, you triggered me, man, when you said that.
Morgan
I knew, but it was because I tried, though, Eddie.
Eddie
No, but it's not even that. It's not even that. You were like. The. The bit was like, find an underrated band or an overrated band. And, like, out of all the bands in the whole wide world, you picked my favorite one and trashed him.
Morgan
It was the only.
Eddie
In front of my eyes.
Morgan
It was the only thing that was front of mind because I genuinely went to listen because you always talked about him.
Eddie
So sad.
Morgan
I'm sorry.
Eddie
It's okay.
Morgan
I'm very sorry.
Eddie
That's all right.
Morgan
Okay, wait, so did you do your five songs?
Eddie
I don't know. I don't know.
Morgan
You backtrack so hard.
Eddie
Sweet Child of Mine, Home Sweet Alabama, Pour Some Sugar on Me, The Joker by Steve Miller Band and then I need one more. Oh, oh, and I did Pearl Jam. I could throw a Pearl Jam one in there. Okay, I'll do. Man. I'll do a live alive. There you go. That wraps my file.
Morgan
That's alive.
Eddie
I'm still alive.
Morgan
Yeah, I don't think I know that one either.
Eddie
You didn't listen on the sample size.
Morgan
I don't think that was some of my sample size.
Eddie
What's your favorite band? Who's your favorite band of all time?
Morgan
Favorite band of all time or artist?
Eddie
Artist. Whatever.
Morgan
I mean, I feel like my favorite artist of all time is Shania.
Eddie
Boom. Overrated.
Morgan
You know that's not true.
Eddie
Overrated. Next.
Morgan
Okay, you want my five top five? 2,000 songs.
Eddie
Not really, but go ahead.
Morgan
Definitely Stacy's mom.
Eddie
Oh, really?
Morgan
I mean, yeah.
Eddie
That's a jam.
Morgan
It was an iconic moment in time. Toxic by Britney Spears. Like, these are all just very, like, massive pop culture moments that I remember. Okay, we've got skater boy.
Eddie
Avril Lavanda's a skater boy.
Morgan
She said, see you later, boy. Yep. It wasn't me. Shaggy.
Eddie
That's a jam. And then I saw it on camera. It wasn't me.
Morgan
I still sing that song to this day. Like, randomly. I'll be like, it wasn't me.
Eddie
That's a good one, Morgan.
Morgan
That's a good one. And then I'm trying to decide between my last one because here's. Here's my four options. You can only place my last one. I have A Thousand Miles by Vanessa.
Eddie
Carlton, One of my favorites.
Morgan
I have hey Ya by outkast. I have yeah. By Usher or Bye bye, bye bye, NSync.
Eddie
I'll go. Vanessa Carlton.
Morgan
Yeah.
Eddie
Making my way downtown.
Morgan
Hometown.
Eddie
I love that. That song is so good. I shouldn't love it that much, but it's so good.
Morgan
No, I'm probably gonna go listen to these now.
Eddie
It's in a commercial. I. I like. It came on TV the other day.
Morgan
And I need you.
Eddie
So good.
Morgan
We're getting out of here. I've kept you long enough.
Eddie
That was fun. It was so much fun, Morgan. Thank you.
