Lunchbox
Let's welcome to Friday's show. We got a big one. Morning, studio. Morning, Bones. Let's go around the room with the get to know you question. I'll ask it, but I'll answer it first since you guys have no idea what the question is. Who is your favorite TV couple of all time? Ooh, think about it. Your favorite TV couple of all time. Now, I've had a little time to think about this and I'm gonna go, Zack Morris, Kelly Kapowski. Oh, just because it was such. That's such an important part of my life. That show, that time of my life had the biggest crush on Kelly Kapowski. I thought Zack Morris was the coolest Guy ever. That Jim and Pam were a close second. Older version, favorite show, but I'm going. Zack Morris, Kelly Kapowski. My favorite TV couple ever. Emmy. You look like you're thinking hard.
Amy Brown
Yeah, because I'm debating between two as well.
Lunchbox
Hey, you know what? Go.
Amy Brown
Okay. Ross and Rachel from Friends. And then Meredith Gray and Dr. McDreamy on Grey's Anatomy.
Lunchbox
You liked Ross and Rachel more than Monica Chandler?
Amy Brown
Yeah, I always thought the Monica Chandler thing was weird.
Lunchbox
It was only weird because she was way hotter than he was. But I think that's why I liked it because he was, like the wise, cracking, goofy guy, and I was like, man, I guess if Chandler can do.
Eddie
It, it gave you hope.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Amy Brown
Oh, okay. I don't know if it was, like, a. The looks thing for me. I guess Ross and Rachel were the og.
Lunchbox
Yeah, but I feel like Rachel's so much hotter than Ross.
Amy Brown
Oh, yeah.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah, yeah. But. But yes. Ross and Rachel. Big couple of our lifetime, Eddie.
Eddie
That's funny. I went with married couple Tim and Jill Taylor. Is it Jill? I just love the way that they were, like, in love. I mean, they had all these three boys. Their life was crazy, but they always handled things great. And they were always, like, just flirting with each other, even when they were old.
Lunchbox
That's how I felt about the Huxtables. Oh, yeah. They would, like, still be in love and dance.
Eddie
I can't think that now, though.
Lunchbox
A little bit. Claire and.
Eddie
Yeah, think about that.
Amy Brown
Bill.
Lunchbox
It wasn't Bill Huxtable, was it? Cliff. Cliff. Cliff and Claire Huxtable. Hey, man. No, they can still exist. No, it's just Bill Cosby candidates.
Morgan
It's hard to visualize. It's hard to separate.
Lunchbox
Okay, Lunchbox man.
Morgan
I got. This is tough.
Lunchbox
I got nine Survivor season three.
Amy Brown
Oh, it's gonna be a real world couple.
Lunchbox
Go ahead.
Morgan
Well, I mean, that's the problem is they end up getting. I'm gonna. I'm gonna say Amber and Rob from Survivor. They met. Yeah. Boston Rob met his wife on Survivor and they became a duo, and they went all the way to the final. She won. And on stage, he got down and proposed. I mean that.
Lunchbox
Together.
Morgan
Yeah, they're still together. Got kids, everything.
Lunchbox
Just say that. Who's a couple from this. From the Bachelor. Still together. The firemen.
Amy Brown
Oh, yeah.
Morgan
Oh, what's her name? Tristan.
Lunchbox
Are they still together? And Ryan. Yeah.
Morgan
She was the Bachelorette. That's where they got together.
Lunchbox
Got it. That's cool. Okay, so you have Rob and Amber. Okay.
Morgan
And I also liked Riggins and Lila Garrity on Friday Night Lights.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Lunchbox
Which two were there? The mom and dad? No, no, they're kids.
Morgan
She was the cheerleader. Hot cheerleader. And then he was, like, the crazy one, like, partier. And they got together.
Lunchbox
Minka Kelly. Yeah. Got it. I saw her once at a John Mayer ACL live taping when that was taped in the UT building. And there were, like, 60 people there, and she was there, and they were dating.
Eddie
She's pretty, huh?
Lunchbox
She's pretty.
Morgan
She's a pretty hot person.
Lunchbox
Yeah, she's pretty. Were you there? No, no.
Morgan
Dang.
Lunchbox
Really?
Eddie
You're on the show?
Morgan
Yeah, I was on the show, but she didn't invite me. That and then another one. Eric and Donna from that 70s show. They were pretty good.
Eddie
Oh, they were cool.
Morgan
They were fun.
Lunchbox
A good one. All right. Thank you, guys.
Eddie
A little bit better.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Bones, he's 13. He made a bucket list and put it online. He's not dying. It's just like, things I want to do before I die. Because bucket list. Used to be you had to be dying for us to even consider it. Now it's just things you want to do at some point. So number one is get a full taxidermy alligator. Okay. That's fun. He's 13, by the way. Again. Thirteen. Number two, go to New Zealand.
Eddie
Okay.
Lunchbox
Be fun.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Another one is get into a fight. Oh, he wants to do that. He's never been in a fist fight.
Bobby Bones
I don't want that.
Lunchbox
Get a cool Jeep. Nice. The fight one's more. It says, beat up someone, get into a fight. But you can't really pick. Like, if you get into a fight, you may not beat up someone. Like, you might get beat up. Another one is eat an octopus. Prove the existence of goblins.
Eddie
That might be tough.
Lunchbox
Meet J.K. rowling. Go snorkeling with a shark. Go on a fossil dig and get married. Just some of them. Like, he really wants to do this. So I'm gonna ask you guys. And I've never really. And I did this morning. I sat down and did put down a bucket list of 3 things I want to do. Mostly I just avoid this because I'm like, that's stupid. I'm not dying. But you never know. Amy, three things, okay. On your bucket list. Go.
Amy Brown
I have go on an Alaskan cruise because that's something my mom always wanted to do before she passed away. And we tried to take her, but she just was too sick. So we went to Padre, Texas instead.
Lunchbox
Big difference. Could not be more Of a difference, but okay.
Amy Brown
So I would like to do that for her since she wasn't able to. I would also love to get a horse or just ride a horse.
Lunchbox
If you just want to ride a horse, I can catch you up today on the regular.
Amy Brown
I feel like owning a horse. I feel like that's a lot of responsibility. But if it's a bucket list, who cares? Maybe I get to where I know how to take care of it and it's fine. But I just want.
Lunchbox
You own. You have some stables and some horses.
Amy Brown
Sure. I want a relationship with a horse.
Lunchbox
That also sounds weird, but we're into it. Go ahead.
Amy Brown
And then my. My one that is like, this is. I don't. It's on my bucket list, but it's a maybe. Because I always wanted to have a baby, but I don't want to really have a baby. But if it happens, have a baby.
Lunchbox
Okay, you. You've turned me in different directions here, huh? So you mean be pregnant?
Amy Brown
Yes, because I never got to have a baby or be pregnant, and we adopted kids, and that's great.
Lunchbox
But then you said you didn't want to on and off.
Amy Brown
I just still never got to experience being pregnant. So I don't know. When I was married, we were never given a reason why couldn't get pregnant. We did all the tests. We went to fertility doctors. They couldn't say, oh, it's because she has this or you have that. So it wasn't his fault or my fault. We just couldn't get pregnant.
Lunchbox
So I understand if it's have a baby and be pregnant. But then you follow that up with but you don't want to.
Amy Brown
Right? Because now I'm like, oh, gosh, my kids are teenagers now. They're almost grown. Like, do I really want a baby?
Lunchbox
Let's say all of a sudden, and from the heavens, they open up and God says, would you like to be pregnant? I can make you pregnant right now. Do you take yes or no?
Amy Brown
Well, not no.
Lunchbox
It's yes or no.
Eddie
It doesn't matter.
Lunchbox
The dad is lunchbox.
Eddie
Oh, she'll say no to that when.
Lunchbox
It should have to do anything. It just says it doesn't matter who the dad is. Go ahead. Oh, so, okay, it doesn't sound like you really want it.
Amy Brown
See, that's why it's a maybe.
Eddie
What about like a midwife? You don't want to be a midwife. Carry the baby and then give it even.
Lunchbox
No, that's a midwife helps. Yeah.
Eddie
Surrogate.
Lunchbox
Would you. How about if you Want me to.
Amy Brown
Carry a baby for nine months and be totally connected to it and then have to give it away? I don't think so.
Eddie
Hey, this is your bucket list. I don't know.
Lunchbox
True. Your bucket's kind of built weird. The opposite, though. What if a surrogate held your baby?
Amy Brown
Well, but then that takes away the whole, like, I have no idea what it's like to be pregnant.
Lunchbox
We don't understand your bucket list.
Amy Brown
You don't understand what it's like to be 44. I'd be a geriatric pregnant person.
Lunchbox
All that we get. Do you want it, though?
Amy Brown
I want it.
Lunchbox
But then. I don't know.
Amy Brown
This is why it's confusing. It's something that I've always wanted. But then I got the gift of being an adoptive mom, which has been beautiful.
Lunchbox
So do you want to have a baby?
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Eddie
It's on the list.
Lunchbox
It's right in pencil. The other two are in Sharpie. This one's in pencil. Yes.
Amy Brown
That's a good way to put it. It's in pencil.
Lunchbox
Okay. That's wild. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Amy Brown
But ask me next week. I might be like, oh, God.
Lunchbox
You erase it. She'll put you have a racer on the back of that.
Amy Brown
Exactly.
Lunchbox
Okay. Mine are. Take batting practice at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Amy Brown
You could do that.
Eddie
I feel like you can do that next week.
Lunchbox
I don't know that I can. I've never done it. That would be cool to be able to do number two, meet and talk to. Or, like, interview David Letterman, which I've never done. Which he's still alive still. Like, that's. That. That was always my hero growing up.
Amy Brown
I mean, you never wanted to not meet him just in case.
Lunchbox
Way a long time ago.
Amy Brown
You've changed.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Just because many years ago I would. People be like, don't meet your heroes. I don't think now that people are douchebags just because they're famous. I think some people are just douchebag and some aren't. That's it. But I think that would be cool because he had a massive influence on me. And the third one is. And I've been the number two for, like, the last three years. But it's like, host the ACMs, like, every year, like Reba and Garth and then they. I'm their sidekick. I've never got that main. It's always Reba and Garth, and I'm way more famous than both of them. Oh, yeah? Yeah. I've had way more number one hits. So that would be it. And I got, I can, I can lick it, I can taste it. I'm right there next to it, but I just haven't, haven't got that yet. So that would be it. I was actually, I got a call years ago, I was like, you're gonna host the ACMs. And then something happened and I was not. One day I'll be able to tell the whole story. And they pulled me a couple weeks before the announcement for somebody else. That one hurt.
Amy Brown
Yeah, that hurts. All those in Sharpie blood. Oh, blood.
Eddie
That's how serious you are.
Lunchbox
I wrote those in blood. Yeah, I want to hear you guys as well.
Raymundo

Scuba Steve
Okay. I want to go on a safari in Africa.
Lunchbox
That sounds so much fun. The only thing that scares me about that is I don't want to fly that long. Yeah, that sounds so much fun. You're so right. That sounds awesome.
Scuba Steve
The flying isn't what gets me. It's actually, you have to have multiple shots to go down there in Africa because they still have so many diseases.
Amy Brown
That's what's the hard part about there.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
I just. I don't. I don't want to fly that long. That's a lot of ocean to fly over.
Eddie
I don't want an elephant to attack me.
Lunchbox
I don't mind that. Yeah. What a way to go.
Amy Brown
That would be so cool.
Lunchbox
There's like a hotel I see online where drafts come up into the window.
Eddie
Oh, that's cool.
Amy Brown
Yeah, Safari is. That's amazing.
Lunchbox
That's a great one. Okay, next one.
Scuba Steve
See the northern lights.
Lunchbox
I've seen them.
Bobby Bones
You have?
Lunchbox
Wow.
Eddie
What do they look like?
Lunchbox
Just like the pictures. I'm the worst to ask, like, what's. How cool is nature? Yeah, it's. It's cool. I went to Iceland. It's like, okay, whatever.
Eddie
But it looks like fluorescent colors.
Lunchbox
You love it. But I just Google image. I. Crap. I'm satisfied. So I'm not the person to ask, but I did go to Iceland and it never got dark.
Scuba Steve
But you still saw him.
Lunchbox
Maybe it was always dark. Maybe that's what it was. So we saw them then.
Scuba Steve
That would make more sense.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Okay, next.
Scuba Steve
Okay. And the last one is visit NASA.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Eddie
Like next week.
Lunchbox
We'll get some tickets.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, Like, I want to see NASA and see the rockets.
Amy Brown
And you can go down to Huntsville to the.
Eddie
The Rocket Center.
Lunchbox
What is that, by the way?
Amy Brown
In Huntsville?
Eddie
Yeah, that's where they make rockets.
Lunchbox
Yeah, but see him. But it's not. It's not. Is it NASA affiliated?
Scuba Steve
I thought so I went like NASA headquarters.
Lunchbox
Like Houston.
Scuba Steve
Yes, Houston.
Lunchbox
We have a problem. Got it. Got it. Eddie. Yeah.
Eddie
I want to go to the motherland.
Lunchbox
What?
Eddie
The motherland.
Lunchbox
The motherland.
Eddie
The motherland. Espana.
Lunchbox
Got it.
Eddie
I Want to go to Spain? Never been over there at all. I think that'd be so cool. To see where my heritage came from. And then I'd like to swim with the sharks. Kind of like that kid.
Lunchbox
You gonna be in a cage?
Eddie
I mean, if it's a great white shark, yes. Put me in a cage. Any other kind of sharks that they can, like, tell me that it's not going to kill me. I'll swim with them.
Lunchbox
You ever saw with a dolphin?
Eddie
Never.
Lunchbox
I did that once in a pool.
Eddie
What was that like?
Lunchbox
It's freaking crazy. You're just like, I shouldn't be doing this. I felt guilty after. But it was awesome.
Eddie
Did you hold on to the fin and like, it took you?
Morgan
Yeah, that's cool.
Lunchbox
And then it was too strong. I just like, yeah, next.
Eddie
And then the last one is sail somewhere. Maybe I sail to Spain.
Amy Brown
Oh, that'd be awesome.
Eddie
I want to be on a sailboat.
Lunchbox
Miserable. What do you mean?
Amy Brown
I don't want to be on his sailboat, but I do want to go to Spain.
Lunchbox
Sailing to me.
Eddie
Did you say you don't want to be on my sailboat?
Lunchbox
If sailboat had, like a motor on it too.
Raymundo
It does.
Lunchbox
I think sailboat, because this is like, I'm just begging the wind to take me.
Eddie
Begging it. You know how to navigate.
Lunchbox
Am I a miracle? Vespucci? No, I'm good. Like, let's get on a boat and get our airplane even then. I don't want to do that. Okay. But good for you. This is your list.
Eddie
My bucket list.
Lunchbox
Absolutely. A sailboat sounds miserable, doesn't it?
Amy Brown
Yeah, it's like, for a little bit, like, over. And we were like, in Maine or wherever they do that. That'd be nice.
Lunchbox
And that's not to sell. That's just a sit on the water.
Eddie
And you guys are crazy. Like, at night, you know, you see all the stars and it's all quiet. All you hear is just the of the boat. Oh, that'd be beautiful.
Lunchbox
Lunchbox.
Morgan
Yeah. I want to go snow skiing. I've never been skiing, but it looks cool to ski down a mountain. I see it on TV and I'm like, that looks so fun.
Lunchbox
I never been snow skiing either. I'm scared, though.
Amy Brown
Guys, we can arrange this.
Lunchbox
I know, I know. I don't want to go. He does want to go. Arrange his book, his travel.
Amy Brown
Go stay with my sister. I got you.
Lunchbox
That's weird. All of a sudden, the bit is we send lunchbox to stay with Amy's sister. Yeah, I'm Just afraid I would tear every ACL and mcl. Yeah, yeah. Next.
Morgan
Hit a hole in one in golf.
Lunchbox
That's a good one.
Morgan
I mean, that's something that everyone wants to do. Every time you play, you're like, oh, this is the day, and it never happens.
Lunchbox
That's a good one.
Morgan
And beyond Survivor.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
I mean, I want Jeff Probst to sit there and welcome me on the beach. Welcome season.
Lunchbox
Whatever.
Morgan
How's it feel to be here? All right, let's get to our immunity challenge. And I mean.
Lunchbox
Oh, why don't you try then on that one? Because that you have to actually try.
Morgan
I know it's hard.
Lunchbox
That didn't answer the question. Like, why don't you try?
Morgan
I will.
Eddie
What does that mean?
Lunchbox
I don't know.
Morgan
No, no. I just.
Lunchbox
I mean, I've asked twice. I don't really know where to go from here.
Morgan
I mean, it's just like. I mean, with a job and everything, these people, I don't know how they get off their jobs. Like, I see these people on there.
Lunchbox
And they're like, they probably go to their boss. I got offered to go to Survivor for three months. Is there a way we can take off? And then their bosses go, yes, that's probably right.
Morgan
Well, they quit their job.
Lunchbox
They could.
Morgan
And I'm just like, dang, that would be so awesome to be on the island.
Lunchbox
And why don't you try look for.
Morgan
A hidden immunity idol. And I mean, a blind side. I mean, I'd probably be the victim of a blind side, but I'm so smart, I'd probably win the game. I mean, it's just amazing, you know, cooking rice in that pot over the fire, taking the little spear gun and shooting a fish. I mean, all that stuff you can do.
Lunchbox
Not on the game show.
Morgan
Yes, but you got to be doing on the show. I mean, the whole point is to be on the show.
Lunchbox
You know, I always wondered, why don't you try?
Morgan
That's a good question.
Lunchbox
It's hard. Yes, yes.
Morgan
I mean. And Jeff does. He talks to me every episode. Like, he comes in, he's like, if you think this looks fun or this looks easy and you want to be on Survivor, apply.
Lunchbox
Oh, why don't you apply?
Morgan
I'm going to do it.
Lunchbox
Okay, let us know.
Morgan
I will.
Lunchbox
10 years. At this point, it's time for the good news with Amy there, something good.
Amy Brown
So I just want to shout out Drew Patchen because he's a kid that was battling brain cancer last year. He had to go undergo surgery, chemotherapy, all the things. And now he's cancer free. But instead of just moving on with his life, he has now set up a lemonade stand and is running it to help other kids fighting cancer. And he's donating the money to cancer charities in Missouri.
Lunchbox
Thanks. Good for him to want to help other people, because I know me, if I finish, I just be like, I'm good. Talk about baseball cards.
Amy Brown
He personally spent a lot of time at St. Jude, and so he saw a lot of other kids that were battling alongside him. So to be able to give back and support them, that's what he wants to do.
Lunchbox
A. What's his name?
Amy Brown
Drew.
Lunchbox
Drew. A plus Drew. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. It's a Bobby Bones show interview, in case you didn't know. Miranda, what we normally do is we do an intro before you walk in. We've never done this with somebody where you're already here. What would you say to people that don't know about you? What's. What's something about you that they should know?
Bobby Bones
That they should know?
Lunchbox
Yeah. Like, very, very basic.
Bobby Bones
Very basic.
Lunchbox
Like, you're, like, so fundamental.
Bobby Bones
Like, I'm from Texas.
Lunchbox
Boom. That's one thing. She's from Texas. We're going to do three. Yeah, I like this three fundamental things. She's from Texas. What's the second one?
Bobby Bones
I rescue dogs.
Lunchbox
She rescue dogs. Rescues dogs. Okay. And the third one?
Bobby Bones
And I like Tito's.
Lunchbox
She likes Tito's. And now here's our interview with Miranda Lambert on the Bobby Bones show now.
Miranda Lambert
Miranda Lambert, good to see you.
Lunchbox
Miranda. Hello. I was. I was writing about you on Instagram. I know it never got to you, but I didn't tag you because it wasn't about that. But someone had asked me, my favorite people to interview, and I was pretty honest. And there are a lot of my friends I didn't even mention. And now it was, like, compelling interviews. And I had different tiers, and I only did, like three tiers. And I put you in the tier of. Would even take a phoner from meaning we don't really do a lot of phone call interviews. But if you're like, I can't get there, I'll do it. I can be on the phone. I always say yes. Like, that's how much I love being able to talk with you.
Bobby Bones
Well, that's nice. Thank you.
Lunchbox
You're welcome. And I also feel like your favorite thing is not doing interviews. Would that be accurate?
Bobby Bones
Well, I mean, I like talking to.
Lunchbox
You and I like talking to you and I don't like talking to everybody. But I would say. But I think that's part of the reason I like talking to you so much. Because I feel like when you come in in the best way, like dgaf, we just talk, we do whatever, promotion. But you always give me really amazing honest answers. So that's why you didn't read it, but that's why I said that. And I really love when I get to talk to you. So thank you for coming in.
Bobby Bones
Well, I'm gonna go look at it.
Amy Brown
Something.
Lunchbox
It's gone. It's. It's a story. It's a story. So it's dead.
Bobby Bones
Well, okay. Well, you just told me in person.
Lunchbox
Yes, that's even better than story.
Bobby Bones
Exactly.
Lunchbox
There are two names of the songs. I'm not going to say the first one start has a. A D in it. What's the name of that song?
Bobby Bones
A D in it.
Lunchbox
It's called something Randy.
Bobby Bones
Oh yeah. Can I say that?
Lunchbox
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Damn it, Randy.
Lunchbox
Yeah, right. Yeah, the story.
Bobby Bones
Well, I was. Went through some things that didn't that I needed to like shed and let go of and that did not serve me. So it's kind of a song about to anybody that you kind of just need a moment to flip the bird to and then move on. And in my case, his name is Randy, so Damn it Randy came about. It's pretty simple.
Lunchbox
The second one is B on the sauce. You can say it.
Bobby Bones
I love that you picked the two cuss word titles.
Lunchbox
Well, I don't.
Bobby Bones
For me to talk about.
Lunchbox
No. And we're talking about more. But I don't. I don't. I haven't cursed in years. Not. I used to curse all the time, but I. When I was doing stand up and writing books, I didn't want to lean. I would curse all the time and I would use that as a comedy crutch. I stopped saying bad words in general, but I love bad words, so that's why I'm not saying it. But I'm picked those. I love it when people use bad words. It's my favorite thing. So bad words also sound eight years old.
Bobby Bones
You do bad words?
Lunchbox
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Be on the sauce.
Lunchbox
What's. What's. What's the official title on the sauce? And what does. Give me that. That one.
Bobby Bones
Because I. It's really. I wrote it with Darren Johnson out on the road and it was like kind of called just Drunk. And I already have a song called Drunk. So I was like, well, what other title can we use? Because one of my favorite lines in it is hard. Hard as the sauce. It's gonna do what it do. That's what it is.
Lunchbox
He's pretty awesome too. He's great, like in like eight different ways. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I mean, Jaren does it all. He does the art, the business, the production, musicianship. Like, he's. He kills it.
Lunchbox
One of my favorite things on albums, when they come out, I always am very curious about why track one and, and. And with you, there are 14 tracks. I always like first and last track because there's always got to be some discussion about what's first and what's last. There's always a discussion about what goes where in the flow. Much like a set list. But I love first and last. But why number one? Like what. What's the idea?
Bobby Bones
I just thought it set up the record in a really great way. My friend Aaron Ray Tierra wrote that song and I just. It was the first song I wanted to cut for the record because it. I was making my album in Austin and I was like, this is. This is a very Austin, Texas sounding song. It's about a hot armadillo that's hitchhiking. So, I mean, I just felt like it's fun. I always want humor on every record, and this was the moment for that.
Lunchbox
I've seen this song like 10 times.
Bobby Bones
You should have him come in here because he's real fun.
Lunchbox
You're welcome. You're welcome to come in, Aaron. That's so weird because when you were saying, I was like, I already know the words of this song.
Bobby Bones
He's a. He's awesome.
Lunchbox
That's a really cool version of it. Okay. And then I want to do the last track. And again. Is this a cover?
Bobby Bones
It's a cover.
Lunchbox
Okay. Okay. Why put that last?
Bobby Bones
I don't know. It felt like setting it up for whatever comes next. You know what I mean? A little bit. It's a David Allen co song from, like the 70s. And I just randomly. I thought I knew, like David Allen's catalog pretty good in that song. I just found randomly and I was like, I want to cover this. I changed a few lyrics, but I don't know. Like, my last record, Palomino, was all about travel and. And sort of stories you find along the way and road trips. And then this record felt like coming home, but then living on the run feels like setting it up for whatever the next adventure is.
Lunchbox
A lot at home with this record. A lot of feeling like you didn't record in Texas, right?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
All of it.
Bobby Bones
First time to record a record in Texas since I was 17. My little independent record. I just felt like I got a new label with Republic and Big Loud, and I felt like I just needed to go back to the root of where it all started, sound wise and art wise and just from my heart, like so. And I have a house in Austin, so I'm there a lot anyway. But it just felt like. Let's go back to, like, what inspired me to start this whole journey in the first place, which was I started 20 years ago, so it was. It was really great.
Lunchbox
Fun fact. All of us are from Austin. I'm from Arkansas, but we all met in Austin 20 years ago.
Bobby Bones
Y' all did?
Lunchbox
Yeah. This is where our show came together. Yes. Amy Austin High Lunchbox Anderson High School Eddie was my team producer in Austin. That's where I started doing nights and then met all these goobers as my friends. They weren't. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I mean, that's like. I made this record at Arlen, so. Yeah, that's crazy. I didn't even realize that.
Lunchbox
We wrote a song about you 13 years ago called She's Gonna make it One day when we first started. Yeah, we don't have it. We don't have the file.
Eddie
No, we don't.
Lunchbox
We lost, but we lost that one.
Bobby Bones
So I don't have to explain any of this record to y'.
Lunchbox
All.
Bobby Bones
You get it?
Lunchbox
No, yeah. Yeah, for sure. Because we're all. Austin is like, I know you're from.
Bobby Bones
Arkansas, but I didn't realize that y' all all came together in Austin.
Lunchbox
Thirteen years, right?
Bobby Bones
What, Us in Austin?
Amy Brown
What is that long? You live there?
Lunchbox
Yeah, we did the show together.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Bones.

Miranda Lambert, I'm gonna ask you a really vague D question today. What's your favorite song on the record today?
Bobby Bones
My favorite song on the record is probably Damn it, Randy.
Lunchbox
Okay, well, we talked about. Ray, hit it. Number two, please. And what is your favorite song from your catalog that's been a hit right now?
Bobby Bones
Oh, God.
Lunchbox
Right now.
Bobby Bones
Right now. Favorite song that's been a hit? Little Red Wagon.
Lunchbox
That's fun. That's probably like good energy too, right?
Bobby Bones
Like, I look forward to it at the end. It's always at the end of the show. And I'm like, oh, that's fun.
Lunchbox
What's your encore song?
Bobby Bones
I don't do encores. It's weird. Everybody know you just go off the stage and then you're like, wait, I'll clap louder. And then I'm coming back. And then everybody's leaving to go their car. I'm just like, we just do our show and it's over.
Lunchbox
Okay, but it's like, bye, y'.
Bobby Bones
All. I know you've got to get home.
Lunchbox
Hypothetically, let's say they wouldn't leave. The lights are already on. That's how I know there's no encore with an eBay. I don't like encores either. Like, as soon as it's over, turn the lights up so everybody knows.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I'm like, house music and media.
Lunchbox
Yes, Go. I'm like, lights up. House music. Go.
Bobby Bones
My sound guy's tired, and I'm almost like, todd, roll the bean footage. Yes, we're done.
Lunchbox
Roll that beautiful bean footage. But theoretically, let's say. Hypothetically, theoretically, all the. Allegedly. Let's say that lights come on, the house music up, but the crowd will not move. And they're like, we demand one more song or we're not feeding our dogs. Like, nobody's gonna go and feed their dogs.
Bobby Bones
Okay, well, then I have to.
Lunchbox
You have to go out and do.
Bobby Bones
One other song that's never happened because it's country music. They're like, well, that was great. We love you. See you next time. But I would just go out there and do one by myself. Like, a hag song or something.
Lunchbox
Like.
Bobby Bones
Like, I have done that before, like, back in the day, like, at bars, and they're all rowdy, and they're like, one more. I'm like, I go, just do one by myself.
Lunchbox
Let's do Mount Rushmore. A favorite artist of all time. None of them can be from Texas.
Bobby Bones
Oh, okay. Well, dang it.
Lunchbox
I know. I had to cut you off there because I knew where you'd go, because obviously, we know who you love.
Bobby Bones
Emilu.
Lunchbox
Right?
Bobby Bones
She's not hag. He's really not from Texas. I mean, he was in the region, but. Gosh, that's hard.
Lunchbox
We got two.
Bobby Bones
I got two. Let me see. Well, there's so many that I can't use now.
Lunchbox
I know. That's why I want to make.
Bobby Bones
We grow good down there. All right, how about kicks and Ronnie?
Lunchbox
But that's only one, though. And Ronnie's Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas.
Amy Brown
Oh, it's too close.
Lunchbox
I know.
Amy Brown
Hard.
Lunchbox
You know, I'll give you. I will give you that.
Amy Brown
Can I have Willie?
Bobby Bones
Can I please just have Willie Kicks in. Willie.
Eddie
Give her Willy Bones.
Amy Brown
Yeah, give her.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Lunchbox
Waylon, you've got, like, nine people on this thing. We're gonna be chipping away all day long on this.
Bobby Bones
Too many. There's way too many. I can't say George straight.
Amy Brown
I could put Dolly.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Dolly can go. Let's put Reba up there, too.
Lunchbox
This is not clay. This is rock. We can't just mold it with our hands. Miranda, you're. Oh. Let me ask you this final question. You are the best. I mean it sincerely. I love when you come. Thank you.
Bobby Bones
That's really sweet.
Lunchbox
So. And I know, you know, you don't have to be cool, and you are cool. You're at that stage of your career where you're still. You're such a icon, where you can just show up and mail it in and everybody's happy to have you. And I'm glad. Thank you for not doing that.
Bobby Bones
No. I washed my hair today and curled it. You know how much that's a big deal. I, like, drove into work today with a coffee, like, I had a real job.
Amy Brown
How many days can you go? No hair wash. Oh.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I try to really stretch it.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like, it depends on if I've shows. You know, if I get all sweaty, it shows. I'm like, well, it's over.
Amy Brown
I made it eight days one time. I know. It's like a big moment. It's a thing.
Bobby Bones
So anyway, all that to say, I got up, got ready, and try to look for the part today. Last time I was in here, I was, like, kind of raggedy. I came off the road and, like, a hat and braids.
Lunchbox
Okay, we like that.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Like, all versions. Okay. Final. Final question. Because I had listed you as one of my favorite people to talk to. Other you take me out of it. Who's your favorite person to interview you? Other than me?
Bobby Bones
Oh, you know, I love Kelly Bannon.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
She is, like, so fun to talk to. And I feel like we just have girl time and it's on the radio.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Sometimes I'm like, oh, maybe we shouldn't have said all that. But, yeah, that's a good answer.
Lunchbox
Anybody ever ask you your favorite person to interview them is other than me?
Bobby Bones
No.
Lunchbox
Exactly. That's how I'm a good interview. That's one of the best. So I'm her favorite. That's why I'm her number one.
Bobby Bones
Number one.
Lunchbox
Number one. Miranda. Thank you. You are a plus. The best. And we will see you soon.
Bobby Bones
Thank you.
Lunchbox
It's time for the good news with producer Eddie.
Eddie
The Pizza Roma is a pizza shop, and they get a call one day, right? And they're like, oh, I'd like to order 16 pizzas. They go, okay, no problem. Put the order in. Put the pizzas in the oven. They're ready to go. No one picks them up and didn't pay for them. Did not pay for them. They're like, oh, my gosh, this is, like 200 worth of pizzas. So they go on social media and say, hey, if anyone, like, maybe forgot their pizzas, like, we made These pizzas, they're here, they're ready for you. And it happened for like a week. No one ever came up and claimed the pizzas until one guy says, you know what, man, I love you guys. I love your place. I'm an army veteran. I like to do good things for people. Let me pay for the pizzas. I didn't order them. So he went and he paid $200 for all the pizzas.
Lunchbox
Like, they should do some sort of. If it's like more than four pizzas, some sort of deposit or pay for them all. Yeah.
Eddie
Or don't start the order unless you know it's for real.
Lunchbox
For real. Well, yeah, but that's, that's how you get a deposit.
Amy Brown
Yeah, yeah.
Lunchbox
Or paying for it all. But I guess if I order a pizza now, we pay for it all up front. Yeah. Maybe just some local chains still do it the old fashioned way.
Eddie
Sure.
Lunchbox
Which I would say, don't do old fashioned anymore. Be new fashion.
Eddie
What about Amy's pizzas?
Lunchbox
Like how when they ordered them to her house and she moved, they must.
Eddie
Have been doing it old fashioned way.
Lunchbox
No, they could have paid for it.
Amy Brown
They were paid for.
Lunchbox
Yeah. And they brought them and dropped them off at her house and Amy's like, I don't know. Those are for. And I'm going to move. And she moved.
Eddie
Who would pay for those? Just to drop them off. And like, weird.
Lunchbox
You're paying for a joke.
Eddie
That's an expensive joke.
Lunchbox
How many pizzas was it?
Amy Brown
I think it's from four different places. I don't remember exactly.
Lunchbox
80 bucks for a joke.
Amy Brown
It was like, and it's gonna make.
Lunchbox
Her move out of her house. That's pretty solid. It's a pretty sound investment because the.
Amy Brown
First time it was like I thought an accident. And it's like Papa John's. And then like the next week, pizza for Amy from Domino's. I'm like, what? And then. And it was like different, like different name, different credit cards. Or I can't remember something, like, because I kept looking at the receipt to see if there was similarities and I couldn't match anything.
Lunchbox
So how long until you moved? And you thought, I can't handle this.
Amy Brown
What was that? In combination of a letter that was put in my mailbox. So my mailbox was up at my. So I had a little fence around my front yard. So you have to go through the fence and up to the mailbox which was attached by my front door. Like, and you lift up the lever and put a letter inside and I got this note, and I'm like, this.
Lunchbox
Is said, do you like pizza?
Amy Brown
This is odd. That, like, you're. Someone found where I lived and is dropping me notes now.
Bobby Bones
So.
Amy Brown
And then at the time when I was married, Ben was going to Afghanistan, like, a lot. And I was alone, and I was like, I am leaving.
Lunchbox
So I talked to Daniel from tig, and Daniel, who I've often said probably was the mastermind, him or Lunchbox. And Daniel has said, I'll come to a lie detector. Like, I did not do this. He's like, I will show up because he lives in Tulsa now. I will drive to Nashville, take a lie detector. I don't think he did it anymore. I think Lunchbox did it.
Eddie
I mean, he hasn't said anything this whole time.
Lunchbox
I know. I think Lunchbox did it, but. Okay, Eddie, great story. Good for that guy. Do you know the guy's name again?
Eddie
Yeah, Travis Toosdale. He's the one that stepped up and paid for that.
Lunchbox
Travis. Good dude. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. Wake up, wake up in the morning. Lunchbox, you through M next, and Bobby's on the mic. So you know what this is? This is the Bobby. A lot of people have doorbell cameras now because they've gone way down in price. And if I were a delivery driver, I would just realize and I'd see that people have doorbell cameras all the time. There's one driver from Amazon takes it, throws the box down, starts stopping it, and then walks off.
Eddie
What?
Lunchbox
And they got him on camera. If you're a driver especially, you know, most people have. Or a lot of people on the route have these ring cameras, right? Yeah. Doorbell video capture the shocking sight of an Amazon driver repeatedly stomping on a package. Shortly after delivering the package to the house, the driver is seen placing the package on the home's front doorstep, taking a picture of the box intact, in good shape, and, like, here it is delivered, and then taking it and just jumping on it. Stomp, stomp, stomp. The homeowner looked at the footage. I was like, it was a Nest camera. And although the driver steps behind the pillar, it's absolutely clear the driver is stomping on the package. That is. That is wild. I wonder why. It was a router. It's a 350 router. Like, I wonder what the deal was.
Eddie
Yeah, like, just to stomp on who.
Lunchbox
Was mad and why are you mad at them? Are you mad at her because she's done something to the past? Are you Mad at routers? Are you mad at your company? Are you mad? There's something there.
Eddie
But they try to get away with it by taking the good picture and then stomping it up.
Lunchbox
Then they went behind the pillar to stomp it.
Amy Brown
So weird.
Lunchbox
That's from ABC7. All right, let's go to Amy with the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny.
Amy Brown
What do baristas say when they wake up to start their day?
Lunchbox
What do baristas say to wake up when they start their day?
Amy Brown
Rise and grind.
Lunchbox
That was the Morning Corny.
Amy Brown
Get it?
Eddie
I'm not telling that one.
Amy Brown
Why? Grind the barista.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Eddie
Rise and shine. Good.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Yeah.
Amy Brown
Rise and grind.
Lunchbox
Okay, okay. We get it.
Eddie
Tough crowding.
Amy Brown
Yeah, I guess so.
Lunchbox
Bobby Bone Show Bonehead story of the day.
Morgan
This story comes to us from Cleveland, Ohio. A man was out just on a drive on his motorcycle, enjoying nature, when all of a sudden he hears woo, woo, woo, woo behind him. And he pulls over and they go, sir, you were doing 147 miles an hour, man. He's like, oh, sorry, man. I wasn't paying attention. I was just looking at nature.
Lunchbox
Any chance he wasn't paying attention, doing 150?
Morgan
No chance.
Lunchbox
Right? No chance. And also, you're probably not looking at nature.
Morgan
He's just enjoying the drive.
Lunchbox
You're probably dialed in because you're like, all right, let's go. Let's try to.
Morgan
Because you're flying past cars.
Amy Brown
But I gotta say, like, this morning, I must have gone through multiple lights, but I don't ever remember actually doing it or seeing that they were green. And I found out that they were red, and I just ran them. I don't know. Like, I just. I'm on autopilot. Like, maybe he's just cruising.
Lunchbox
I just don't think 147 cruises because it's. You got to put in work to get it to go that fast. Like, extra work.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Lunchbox
You, on the other hand, I'm not quite sure what's happening here. To be fair. I will get places, too, and go. I don't remember anything about getting here because I've been thinking about something.
Amy Brown
Yeah.
Lunchbox
But I just trust that I didn't.
Amy Brown
Run a red light.
Lunchbox
That. Yeah. That your subconscious is guiding you because you've done it so many times and knows exactly what to do.
Amy Brown
Yeah. I hope I saw green.
Lunchbox
That's crazy that you.
Amy Brown
That's what I was thinking, because I know I have multiple lights.
Lunchbox
Like, scary.
Amy Brown
Yes. That's why I'm sharing it with you.
Lunchbox
No, not for all of us. Yeah. For people we share the road with you.
Morgan
Yeah.
Amy Brown
But I'm also concerned. I don't want to hit anybody.
Lunchbox
I guess it's just focus. I have to focus on not grinding my teeth now. Yeah, I grind really badly. And so I have to. And I'll catch myself doing it and be like, whoa, okay. I'm aware.
Amy Brown
Like during the day or when you sleep.
Lunchbox
Day and sleep.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
And so maybe that's what you should do when you drive. You have to check in every once in a while. Be like, okay, am I running red lights? Am I risking other people?
Amy Brown
I know.
Lunchbox
All right, Lunchbox.
Morgan
I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day, Bones.
Lunchbox
This woman was walking her dog and alligator jumped up and bit her. Oh. Oh, boy. Shout out Florida man. Yeah, a lot of alligators, you just go for a walk, get bit by alligator. 84 years old. Oh, by the way, she survived. She survived so she didn't die. Also shout out 84 year olds surviving alligator bites.
Morgan
About 84 year old walking dogs.
Lunchbox
How about dogs walking with opiate? Yeah, all that. So CNN and wbbh, she was out walking her dog and they were near a pond and she said she heard and like felt something moving. And then boom. A 7 foot 3 inch alligator, it lunged at her, bit her legs and fingers. I mean, she, she's. I mean, she's old lady. She punched the alligator in the face. The alligator retreat. A seven foot alligator, is that with a tail? The alligator's big. I'm looking at the alligator. It's thick.
Eddie
Seven is the whole thing.
Lunchbox
It's thick. It's a thick alligator.
Morgan
But my question is, so in Florida, you just can't even go near water.
Lunchbox
Water sounds, it sounds like if anything's wet, stay away from it.
Morgan
Your kids fishing, you can't go feed the ducks.
Lunchbox
I mean, because, well, you probably can, but it's. Watch out for alligators.
Eddie
The rule is, if you see water, assume there's an alligator in it.
Amy Brown
That's the rule.
Lunchbox
How do you know the rule? Did you just make that rule? No.
Eddie
People say it all the time. I go to Florida all the time, man.
Lunchbox
And they say, yeah, because you know me, every time I go to Florida.
Eddie
I'm like, you guys see gators around here?
Morgan
No.
Lunchbox
You do. I ask everyone, shout out, she lived, her dog lived. But she's 83. A punchy alligator right in the face. That's it. Have a great weekend. See you guys Monday. Bye, buddy. Hes Yu Jo discussing who can benefit from therapy. I think a lot of people think that you're supposed to be going to therapy once you're like having panic attacks every day. But before you get to that point, I think once you start even noticing that you feel a little bit off and you can't maintain this harmony that you once had in relationships, that could be a sign that maybe you want to go talk to somebody. There's always a benefit in talking to someone because we can all benefit from improved insight about ourselves and who we are and how we behave with other people. So if you're human, that's like a good indicator that you could benefit from talking to somebody.
