Getting to a great idea is hard in college. Nonsensical essays, cringe inducing presentations and seemingly unsolvable problem sets. But then the first thought becomes a final thesis. Jumbled slides transform into a polished keynote. And that midterm assignment gets a lot less mid because the road great ideas is littered with bad ones. You just have to keep going until something clicks. Great ideas start on Mac. Find out more on apple.com college I

Lunchbox
Let's go.
Bobby Bones
Welcome to Friday's show. We got a big one. Morning, studio.
Ray
Morning, Bones.
Bobby Bones
All right, time for easy trivia. The category is weather. Eddie, you're the champ. You have the tiara on. What do you call frozen rain that falls in balls or chunks of ice? That's called hail. That is correct. Amy, what instrument measures temperature?
Amy
Thermometer.
Bobby Bones
Correct. Abby, what is the white fluffy form of frozen precipitation?
Amy
Snow.
Bobby Bones
Correct. Lunchbox what do we call a flash of electricity during a storm?
Lunchbox
That would be electricity. No, that'd be thunder. That'd be lightning. All right.
Bobby Bones
That'd be lightning.
Lunchbox
Yep.
Bobby Bones
Okay, Nobody goes home in the first round, but if you miss one from here out, you'll hear this sound.
Lunchbox
You've been boned.
Bobby Bones
Everybody ready?
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Ray
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Eddie's the only one with a win this season.
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
How it goes.
Eddie
Here we go.
Bobby Bones
The category is things that are green. Eddie, what green vegetable is often associated with rabbits?
Eddie
This might be a trick question because it has green on it.
Bobby Bones
What green vegetable is often associated with rabbits?
Eddie
Oh, my goodness. Am I gonna go out here? I'm gonna go lettuce.
Bobby Bones
Lettuce is correct.
Eddie
Bugs Bunny ate carrots.
Bobby Bones
That's one bug bunny. That's not generally rabbits. That's one Looney Tune cartoon character. And it's orange. Amy, what's the name of the green creature who stole Christmas?
Amy
The Grinch.
Bobby Bones
Correct. Abby, what green fruit is used to make guacamole?
Amy
Avocado.
Bobby Bones
Correct. Lunchbox. What green vegetable is known for looking like tiny trees?
Lunchbox
Oh, that is broccoli.
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
Correct.
Bobby Bones
The category is celebrities with last names that are animals. Eddie, which NBA legend played for the Boston Celtics and has a last name of a flying animal?
Eddie
That's Larry Bird.
Bobby Bones
Correct. Amy, which artist sings if it makes you happy and has a last name of a bird if it makes you
Amy
happy, then why the hell are you singing?
Bobby Bones
Need an answer.
Amy
Last name of a bird if it makes you.
Bobby Bones
Three seconds.
Amy
I can't think of who sings that. Alanis Morissette.
Lunchbox
You've been boomed.
Bobby Bones
I don't know of the Morissette parrots. Wait, hold on.
Amy
If it makes Cheryl crow. Oh, crow.
Eddie
Amy.
Amy
I hate myself. Right?
Ray
Yeah.
Amy
I hate it. I hate it.
Bobby Bones
That's crazy.
Amy
I couldn't.
Bobby Bones
Abby relates.
Amy
See, y' all don't know what it's like.
Bobby Bones
Abby, what project Hail Mary actor has a last name of a baby goose?
Amy
Not a duckling.
Bobby Bones
What project Hail Mary actor has a last name of a baby goose?
Amy
Project Hillary. Actor. It's an actor. That's a male.
Bobby Bones
Three seconds. I don't know. Oh, my gosh. Project H. Mary.
Ray
I don't know.
Amy
I haven't seen it.
Bobby Bones
Ryan Gosling.
Amy
Oh, Gosling.
Eddie
That's what you call a what? A baby goose.
Bobby Bones
But just go. Project H. Mary.
Eddie
Right? Cuz you only know one.
Amy
She hasn't seen it, but every.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I haven't seen a lot of things.
Amy
I cannot talk cuz I couldn't think of Cheryl freaking crow.
Bobby Bones
What actress Starred in Transformers and has the last name of a sly forest animal.
Lunchbox
Oh, that's my hottie. Megan Fox.
Ray
Correct.
Amy
Gosh.
Eddie
This.
Amy
This category, I did not get that. This category was hard for me. I'm not gonna lie. When you throw in that animal thing, like, if you were to just say who sings this song? I probably would have gotten it, but me thinking of a bird freaked me out.
Lunchbox
We can tell.
Bobby Bones
Two people remain. Eddie and Lunchbox. Wow, Eddie.
Ray
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
The category is the answer starts with F. What legendary singer was nicknamed Old Blue Eyes?
Eddie
Ah, that's Frank Sinatra.
Ray
Correct.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox. What word means a made up story or literature that is not based on real events?
Lunchbox
Say it again. Because there's a couple that I'm thinking of in my head.
Bobby Bones
What word means a made up story or literature that is not based on real events?
Lunchbox
Fairy tale. You've been bowed.
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
But see, see, here's the thing.
Eddie
I had two as well, and it wasn't fairy tale, but it was fable and fiction. But.
Bobby Bones
But fiction is the overarching. Yeah, got it. Yeah.
Amy
Yes.
Bobby Bones
It's fiction.
Eddie
That's tough, guys.
Amy
You want to do something just for funsies?
Bobby Bones
Do you guys have breakfast this morning?
Amy
I don't know what's wrong. I am.
Ray
Yeah.
Eddie
Amy, that was crazy.
Amy
I know.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Honestly, I didn't even think fiction because I. I thought fairy tale. Like, I thought that was. That's not real.
Eddie
Yeah, that happens.
Bobby Bones
Is that not real fairy tales?
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Fairy tale would be a version of fiction. Sure. All right.
Eddie
Well, Eddie, I won again.
Bobby Bones
You won again.
Amy
The fact that that just happened when you said Cheryl Crow, I wanted to die because, like, that seems a bit dramatic, but that's so embarrassing.
Eddie
Okay, you think the easy trivia gods put a curse on you?
Amy
Somebody did.
Bobby Bones
Well, there you have it, Eddie. Nice win. We'll play again next week. It's the Anonymous inbox. Anonymous inbox. There's a question to behind. Hello, Bobby Bones. My friend had been dating this guy for about eight months. A few weeks ago, I was swiping through a dating app and came across his profile. I screenshotted it and sent it to her because I thought there's no way she should be dating someone who is still on the app. She confronted him. Huge fight. They talked it through. It turns out he had deleted the dating app from his phone. The problem is he never deleted his profile. Now he feels like I accused him of cheating when he didn't do anything wrong. My friend says they're okay now, but things have been awkward with me and her boyfriend. Do I owe him an apology. And if so, what do I say? Signed apprehensive in Atlanta. So I'd like to first say that that is a thing. And I've known guys who have said, oh, I met somebody, I'm deleting the app. And they do delete the app.
Ray
I.
Bobby Bones
But they don't go into settings and delete their profile. And then someone sees them and they kind of have to prove it by the inactivity inside their profile, meaning they have to redownload the app, they have to log in and it tells you, last time you've been active and go, look, I haven't been active in six months. I just forgot to delete that. The guts.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And that happens, I think a lot because dudes, we're pretty dumb. It's like, I'm out, I'm just gonna delete it.
Amy
I know girls that, that, that's been the case. So it's not just guys.
Bobby Bones
I don't know many girls.
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
So.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I just know dudes.
Amy
Yeah, I think that that's a thing that happens. And as long as like you said, you can go and show that you haven't been messaging a bunch of girls or going out on dates, then it shouldn't cause a huge blood fight. And then you as the friend, you don't have anything to apologize for.
Bobby Bones
I can understand if he's like, why is she up in our business? But also, you're the friend and you should always be looking out for your friend. And I do think it is 12 minute conversation with this dude to go, hey, I know that was an awkward situation, but I was looking out for my friend. It has nothing to do with you.
Amy
And obviously you want your friends do the same thing.
Bobby Bones
Yep.
Amy
So.
Bobby Bones
And then he's got to go, yeah, you're right. I should have deleted my profile, not just the app, because there were a lot of things that just happened slightly wrong there, but nobody's wrong. And if it is awkward, this is one of those where you have to go and actually address it for a second and then it will forever be fixed. But if you don't, it will forever be slightly awkward. So you have to have that. I think this can even be a text. I don't think it has to be a face to face because how often do you get to be face to face with your friend's boyfriend when no one else is around? Yeah, that's just a hard situation to even manufacture. I think you can text him and say, hey, I think we have a little awkwardness here. I saw that. But I think you would probably tell your friend too. And this is why. Boom, it's over. Move on. Yeah, every. Everything that happened deserves some awkwardness, but it also deserves to not be awkward anymore because everybody had everybody's best interest in mind.
Amy
If he continues to get mad or weird about this. Yeah, something's up.
Bobby Bones
If you can't drop it. He was on that app. He may be on more, but I would finish this with a conclusion conversation. That would be my advice. All right, thank you. Close it up. We're talking about Lunchbox going to the dentist, and he. His face is all swollen up from the dentist. We're like, dude, are you okay? And he goes, yeah, I just had to get a cleaning. We were like, that. That's not from the cleaning. Goes, yeah, they had to inject my mouth over a two day period, right?
Lunchbox
Yeah, it was a deep cleaning. Not just a cleaning. You're missing the word deep.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but over two days. They couldn't do it in one day, and they had to numb his mouth. And I've had many cleaning. That's never happened to me. So I. I want to play some voicemails first because this went to a place I did not expect it to go. Go with the first one.
Ray
Yeah. I'm calling about lunch boxes cleaning. That is standard procedure. A deep cleaning. They clean underneath the gums. They will numb you one side at a time so your whole mouth isn't numb. I get mine done with no numbing because I like the pain.
Bobby Bones
Oh, gosh.
Ray
Okay.
Lunchbox
They didn't give me that option.
Eddie
He needs to feel.
Bobby Bones
Amy, tell him.
Amy
Okay, so Lunchbox has another disease.
Eddie
What are you talking about?
Amy
So our dentist finally got back to us, Dr. Trembly, and he said the deep cleaning is to treat periodontal disease, and the anesthetic is necessary since the cleaning requires sharp instruments deep below the gum line. Often it's done one side at a time. Very standard, very typical. But it is a disease, so it's
Bobby Bones
not just a standard cleaning. You have a disease?
Lunchbox
No, I don't have a disease. I hadn't been in two and a half years, so I had some buildup.
Amy
If someone refuses the deep cleaning and they have this disease, eventually the bacteria causes the bone to resorb, and that's how people. I don't know if that's a typo, but I'm just. This is a text you sent me. But they lose their teeth and require dentures.
Eddie
Oh, my God.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you have. It's okay. We don't judge you, but you have a disease. That's not a regular cleaning.
Lunchbox
No, no, it's. The reason it was so bad is because it had been two and a half years. So without getting it cleaned for two and a half years, there's enough bacteria there that they got to clean it out.
Bobby Bones
And now we're good. Multiple years.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
Learned a new word. Resorb. That's not a typo. That's also known as to swallow up, to absorb again, to dissolve into, like, bone tissue, for example. Yikes.
Bobby Bones
Ray, play the next one.
Ray
I do feel like you guys were attacking Lunchbox, so I figured I'd give you guys a call. So he probably has gum disease. And typically they need to numb me because they have to go below the gum line to clean out plaque. And it's pretty much to help reduce swelling and allow that deep tool access. So get off of his back. Stop making him feel like he's crazy. Thanks. Bye.
Bobby Bones
No, we were not. We were just saying that's not a normal cleaning or deep cleaning. Like there's something more. You have a disease.
Amy
She confirmed it.
Lunchbox
No, they didn't mention anything about gum disease. They just said it was so bad that they were going to have to go in and get it all out and that we should be good to go from here on out.
Eddie
And I feel terrible. Like, if we knew he had a
Bobby Bones
disease, we would have never said anything about it.
Lunchbox
But there is no disease.
Eddie
You heard everything.
Bobby Bones
Okay, let's just walk through him. So he had yeast infection in his mouth. Yeah. That probably led to this periodontal disease. He has a testicle that is way bigger than the other and will not heal itself.
Eddie
A pain. Where's the pain?
Amy
Like a hernia type pain?
Lunchbox
Yeah, it's like a hernia or something.
Amy
Sports hernia.
Bobby Bones
He also had a disease that he gave Amy. Tuberculosis.
Amy
Tuberculosis.
Eddie
This.
Ray
No.
Lunchbox
Amy never had it.
Bobby Bones
And you about once every two weeks have to go home because you're sick. He gets strep throat every, like, all the time?
Eddie
Yeah. Is that.
Bobby Bones
That's not true?
Lunchbox
No, it's not true.
Eddie
What are you talking about?
Lunchbox
I've had strep throat.
Bobby Bones
No, no. Do you have to go home about every two weeks? Did you come in and you're like, I can't talk?
Lunchbox
Every once in a while, I do wake up and my voice is gone. And I do believe that is allergies, that they just zap my vocal cords? That's not my fault. I can't do anything about that.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I get really bad Allergies, too.
Lunchbox
I take medicine and Amy never had tuberculosis. She never took medicine for it. So if she.
Amy
I did start and then I quit because I was like, this sucks.
Lunchbox
So you didn't really have it.
Bobby Bones
Next. Voicemail.
Ray
Right.
Amy
Asymptomatic.
Ray
I just wanted to say, I heard you say it's a scam or insurance deal. It's not. They had to do it in two sessions. And I had the exact same thing done that lunchbox had to get done because I waited too long going to the dentist. It's a thing. I mean, it goes on everywhere. Love the show.
Bobby Bones
I wish we wouldn't have said possibly it's a scam because it was over two days. We didn't realize it was basically a two day surgery because he had a disease.
Eddie
Yeah, we didn't know that.
Bobby Bones
We're sorry.
Eddie
And we're sorry you're dealing with that.
Bobby Bones
We apologize. We did not know you had another disease.
Amy
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
And a lot of people have it. You're the voice of that disease.
Eddie
Yeah.
Lunchbox
I do not have a disease.
Amy
I'm sure there's a support group.
Lunchbox
There's no disease.
Bobby Bones
I bet you can do commercials for something. It's like, I'm lunchbox.
Lunchbox
I got a disease.
Eddie
Do you need a food train or anything? Should we start?
Bobby Bones
We should get a food train started. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lunchbox
I would take a food train.
Bobby Bones
I know you would, but I don't have a disease. The inventor of the ATM wanted people to type in six numbers. It's four, but he said type in six, but his wife couldn't remember six numbers. She can remember four, so she said, you gotta just do four. I can't do six, so it's four.
Amy
Oh, thank you.
Eddie
Thank you.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, there you go.
Eddie
It's easier for us.
Bobby Bones
Amy.
Amy
Thomas Jefferson is credited with popularizing macaroni cheese in the US after he encountered the dish in France. He brought back a pasta machine and recipes, and he served it at his estate, making it a favorite among his guests.
Bobby Bones
I can see where macaroni and cheese for the first time ever would hit so good.
Eddie
Like, what is.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I need more of this, Eddie.
Eddie
So French poodles, you know, they're actually from Germany. They're not even French. And the name poodel is German and it means. It means to splash in water. So I guess back in the day, after these, the. The breed was, was a thing, the French made it popular, so that's why they call it French poodles. But they're really from Germany.
Bobby Bones
It does Seem proper in French.
Eddie
French poodle.
Bobby Bones
Just even its hair. Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Back in 2011 in Mexico City, they set a world record with 3,994 people, all in a inflatable pool at the same time.
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
How many?
Lunchbox
3,994 people.
Eddie
And it didn't bust?
Lunchbox
Nope.
Eddie
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
And how do you know when to stop? When it busts? Well, it doesn't count if it busts.
Eddie
So you do it all over again.
Bobby Bones
Well, you gotta. I don't know. That's a lot.
Lunchbox
And then my question is, are they standing up or are they laying down? They gotta be standing up.
Bobby Bones
They gotta be standing.
Eddie
You can't lay down.
Bobby Bones
You can't lay down. That's how people die. Yeah. Only two of the 20 highest grossing movies of the 80s had a remake. So I have the entire list here of the 20 highest grossing movies released in the 80s. What do you think the biggest movies of the 80s was? Just guessing. ET number one.
Lunchbox
Wow.
Eddie
Good one, Amy.
Bobby Bones
And that's one of them, by the way. So there's no sequel. Still et number one. It made $792 million.
Lunchbox
Okay, I got another one.
Bobby Bones
Go ahead.
Lunchbox
Back to the Future.
Bobby Bones
Back to the future.
Lunchbox
It's gotta be.
Bobby Bones
It's gonna be somewhere. It's at number 11.
Lunchbox
Wow.
Eddie
I have a bigger one.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
Star Wars.
Bobby Bones
A lot of Star wars is. Number two is Return of the Jedi. Star Wars. Empire Strikes Back. That's Star wars, right? Yeah. Is a number three. I'm sure there's other ones. How many Star wars is. Are there?
Eddie
Oh, tons now. There's so many. Six.
Bobby Bones
There's nine main ones.
Eddie
Oh, nine.
Bobby Bones
There's nine. Star Wars.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
There's the prequel trilogy and then the last ones.
Eddie
Mike's like, yeah, you idiot.
Bobby Bones
What do you think the other movie in the 80s is that didn't have a remake? A sequel or a prequel?
Lunchbox
Oh, sequel.
Eddie
Didn't have.
Bobby Bones
Yep.
Amy
Another movie from the 80s.
Bobby Bones
Oh, it's a massive movie from the 80s. Probably wasn't one of the top 20 highest grossings. Breakfast Club. I think there was.
Lunchbox
Oh, was there a follow up to that?
Bobby Bones
No, I don't know. I don't think it's in top 20. I'm looking at it now. The answer is Rain Man.
Amy
Rain Man?
Eddie
I've never seen that.
Amy
That's from the 80s.
Bobby Bones
You've never seen.
Lunchbox
You've never seen Rain Man?
Eddie
I've heard all the quotes and everything.
Amy
Walmart. Walmart.
Bobby Bones
Gotta go to Walmart. 1988. $355 million.
Ray
Dang.
Bobby Bones
So you remember three men and a Baby? That movie was awesome.
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
Was that Tom Selleck?
Bobby Bones
He was one of them. And I think Steve Gutenberg was another one. But that had a sequel. Three Men and a Little Lady.
Eddie
You know what? Along those lines, look who's talking. Those were awesome.
Bobby Bones
Those were really funny. John Travolta and Kirstie Alley maybe were the voices of those.
Eddie
And I think. I think Bruce Willis might have been a baby too. Like a voice of the baby.
Bobby Bones
John Travolta, Kirsty Alley, Bruce Willis, all in it.
Eddie
That's awesome.
Bobby Bones
The top one. Batman sequel, Indiana Jones sequel. Top Gun sequel. Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Dude, that was so they have a sequel in that one. Rain man obviously didn't. Crocodile Dundee. I love those.
Eddie
Never watched those.
Bobby Bones
You never saw Crocodile Dundee?
Lunchbox
Wow.
Bobby Bones
Ghostbusters, Beverly Hills Cop, Fatal Attraction. I never saw that. It seemed too adult. In the 80s. Look who's talking. Made it.
Ray
There we go.
Bobby Bones
Twins. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.
Eddie
That was so good.
Bobby Bones
The Little Mermaid and Coming to America all make it there. Google sees the biggest spike in people searching for hangover cures. On what date?
Eddie
Sunday.
Amy
Monday.
Bobby Bones
Date? Oh, January 1st.
Eddie
January 1st.
Bobby Bones
Number one is January 1st. What's number two?
Eddie
December 26th.
Lunchbox
No, the one after Thanksgiving.
Amy
Oh.
Bobby Bones
The answer is November 1st. The day after Halloween.
Lunchbox
Halloween, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Amy
Because it's like. Yeah, the day after the super bowl. But that's not a date.
Bobby Bones
The CIA had to approve every episode of the FX show the Americans about Russian spies living undercover in the US just to make sure they didn't reveal any classified information.
Ray
Wow.
Bobby Bones
It's a great show. It's a slow show, but it's a great show.
Eddie
So, I mean, that means everything there is fake. Made up.
Bobby Bones
It's a true story. It's based on two people that actually did that. Like, I guess they did. It doesn't mean it's fake. It just means what they did reveal was either true or fictionalized. Which I expected that. Anyway. Female kangaroos have three female parts on their body.
Lunchbox
Really?
Bobby Bones
Three. Three V's? Yeah.
Eddie
I wonder why. Like, why would God want it that way?
Bobby Bones
Well, why would he only want one on humans?
Eddie
Just one.
Bobby Bones
No question, you know? All right, there you go. Fun fact.

Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here from Mint Mobile.
Amy
Now.
Bobby Bones
I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for $15 a month is back. So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills, but it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try@mine.mintmobile.com Switch upfront payment

Bobby Bones
It's a Bobby Bones show interview, in case you didn't know. We're gonna talk to Dr. Andrew Goodrich. He is the athletic director at the University of Akron. This is the football team that's gonna let somebody call plays. And I bought season tickets to just call plays to have a chance to get drawn to call plays. And so I wanted to get the boss on to figure out, do I really have a chance at this? So here he is, athletic director Dr. Andrew T. Goodrich. This is Bobby. Now let's bring in Dr. Andrew Goodrich, the director of athletics at the University of Akron. My new favorite school, my new favorite. I just, I'm such a fan.
Ray
Let's go.
Bobby Bones
Yes, he is behind what we've been talking about on this show where if you buy season tickets, you have a chance basically to be the offensive coordinator. We should clap our hands for Dr. Goodrich okay, Dr. Goodrich, my first question is, who thought of this idea?
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
You know, really, it was a combination me and Matt Potter, who's my deputy director of athletics, and we batted around a lot of ideas, and I think at one point, you know, I said to Matt, I said, you know, you realize Coach is both the head coach and the offensive coordinator. What if. What if we had, like, an offensive coordinator of the game? You know, we could. We. We got to give it to one of our fans, you know, a season ticket. He's like, are you crazy? We can't do that. You know, and we were like, what if we just did one play? But then we felt like it's just not the impact that we want that fan to experience. Right? It's fun, but we really started thinking, what if we just had them script the opening drive? You get a chance to do what we've all done. We've all stood in our living rooms, we've all sat there, pointed at the TV and said, oh, I would run this play, I would run that play. Here's what we got to do. And we thought this might be something we could do. And. And we took it to coach, and coach was very reasonably skeptical about this idea.
Eddie
Is that fair?
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
If any of you have spent time with the Division 1 head football coach, it was more colorful language than that. And we said, listen, we've got a great head coach who's an incredible offensive coordinator. This is his 42nd opening day. He's been there, done that. It's not his first rodeo. If Joe Moorhead is like, we're not doing this, then we're not doing it. He just gets it. And, you know, here we are.
Bobby Bones
You know, it's taking the Internet by storm, which I'm a little bit disappointed in, because I saw it pretty early and thought, I'm buying tickets immediately. And then everybody saw how great of an idea it was. And now all my friends, even immediate, are like, I'm in. And. But I will say this, Dr. Goodrich, I bought good season tickets. I didn't buy the 75 ones. I bought the ones lower that were definitely about double, because also I wanted to donate them to the kids that are there. And I've already been, you know, talking back to make sure that when I can get to the games. But look, if I'm there for game one, I plan to be there a lot. I plan to be the biggest supporter. Have you guys sold a lot of tickets?
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
You know, we had our biggest day of sales, one day of sales since we opened the stadium back in 2008. So that's huge for us. What was actually pretty great is we had somebody call in and say, hey, how many sweets you got left? We end up selling out our suites and we've been contacted by a pretty large company who is interested in being our jersey patch sponsor. So, you know, I think the greatest impact might not necessarily be tickets sold, but corporate sponsorships and just overall support for the football program.
Bobby Bones
When do you guys plan to draw and. And is the drawing going to be truly random?
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
The biggest thing that people are concerned about is, hey, now that we have incredible celebrities like yourself getting involved, you know, the PR thing for us to do is just get earned media by getting a famous person. I want you. I appreciate you. I'm really glad that you bought these tickets. We're grateful to have you as a season ticket holder. But we are going to stick to the intent and this will be a random selection draw so one person will have a shot at doing this. We're going to reevaluate exactly how we intend to share this with everyone because frankly, at this point we have a responsibility to America to do this right. So everybody's invested in this. I want to make sure that, you know, people are looking at the University of Akron and, and really seeing us as leaders in the space. And so we're probably, candidly, we're probably going to work with our college of business. We've got a great group over there, student sport analytics group. And I imagine we're going to partner with the sports analytics program over in the college of business so that they can help us have a truly random draw.
Bobby Bones
I'm so excited because this is, I love when a new element is brought and it's fun and especially for a school like you guys, you, you're fighting, everybody's fighting for attention. Like I said, we're always in an attention economy. And you're trying to raise money and you're trying to fight for attention to raise money. And I think it's really cool how everyone has kind of gravitated to this. So congratulations to you and your team for having such a great idea. And I know it's going to be completely random, but if for some reason my name is drawn, a plan to be there a couple days early in the film room breaking it down. Listen, I've been studying RPOs for on college football. Madden. I'm really good running the RPO spread offense. You can let them know. Rest assured, when I show up, I'll be ready to go. Dr. Goodrich, thank you so much and I hope you have a wonderful week and I can't wait for the drawing to happen and see who gets to do it.
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
Thank you very much. We appreciate you guys. Go Zips, Go.
Bobby Bones
I agree. Go freaking zips.
Commercial Voice
All right.
Bobby Bones
Thank you, Dr. Goodrich.
Ray
Go.
Bobby Bones
We'll see you wake up, wake up in the morning Then you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turning. To put you through. M's riding his wigs. Next bit now Bobby's on the mic. So you know what this is? This is the Bobby bone. Now time for the morning corny.
Lunchbox
The morning Corny.
Amy
What baseball team do Lions like?
Bobby Bones
What baseball team do Lions like?
Amy
The Cubs. Cubs.
Eddie
Yeah, we get it.
Bobby Bones
Put that on the wall.
Lunchbox
Wall of shame.
Bobby Bones
That was the morning.
Amy
I thought you were gonna love that guy. Cuz you love the Cubs.
Bobby Bones
It has nothing to do with how good I think the joke is, but
Amy
you love the Cubs.
Bobby Bones
That's true.
Amy
The Cubs. Like I thought anything with the Cubs you would like was that. I thought that was kind of cute. Really? Okay.
Bobby Bones
Right, guys? Was that really bad?
Amy
Okay, okay, okay, okay. Hit it, hit it, hit it.
Lunchbox
The morning corny.
Amy
What a Lions wear to bed. What Pajamas.
Bobby Bones
Good. Much better.
Lunchbox
That was the morning corny.
Bobby Bones
All right, Voicemail.
Ray
I'm listening to the podcast episode on Friday, July 24. Any new listeners out there listening to this episode at the beginning of Easy Trivia, Just know these people are more educated than they sound during that segment. I promise you, it's hilarious. A little bit sad, but solid effort all around of the show.
Bobby Bones
Thank you, sir.
Eddie
Thank you.
Bobby Bones
I would agree with that. And we have that segment coming up. It's everyone's favorite segment.
Eddie
I love it.
Ray
Oh, man.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I love it. And by everyone, I mean it does the best on YouTube podcasts. It's everyone's favorite segment. It's the easiest trivia game you could possibly play with super easy questions. They get slightly harder until everybody falls out. And yeah, you could hear that for the first time. Like you land on the planet. Let's hear one thing. They hear that and go, this planet's stupid. And they leave. That could happen. But they're not stupid. People on the show are not stupid. That game.
Eddie
Thank you.
Bobby Bones
That game's tough, though. It is coming up. Thank you for the voicemail. Call us anytime. 8, 7, 7, 7. Bobby, I want to do an exercise within all of us, okay? Now this is called I suck at. And I want you to be honest. I want you to share things that you're not good at. For example, I made my list. I suck at getting triggered. And when I get triggered, just start cutting.
Amy
Cutting what?
Bobby Bones
Cutting. Not literally, but, like, with words. With. Especially if, like, someone with media is, like, mouthing me. If I am near a phone and I. I go hard, and then I. I burn it all down. And I've been a little better at that since my wife, because she's like, I don't want to be involved. And so I go. But I. I go way too hard. Sometimes I take a gun to a knife fight. If someone's like, yeah, Bobby's hair is a funny color, I'm like, I hope your family dies. You know, it's not that hardcore, but I do that, right? I get triggered, and I cut with my words. I also suck at letting slow talkers finish their sentences. Even in interviews, they'll be like, well, you know, the first time I played guitar, it was. Anyway. I struggle with that. Where I just need a little more patience and communication. I also suck at giving books enough time to get good. I'm a quarter of the way through a book.
Amy
Terrible.
Bobby Bones
Next. I'm bad at that. I suck at letting myself be happy with something before I start to go, oh, I shouldn't get too happy, because it's probably all gonna get taken away at some point. I also suck at answering phone calls.
Ray
Just.
Bobby Bones
That's just. I just. I don't want to answer a phone call. If you call me, I'm not gonna answer. If you text me, awesome. If you FaceTime me, there's a 30% chance. Unless it's Eddie and it's the afternoon, and I know he's on the toilet, and then, no, we're not doing that. I suck at seeing. Is that bad vision? No, right eye. Really? And I suck at sleeping. That would be my list of things I suck at. Vulnerable. I'm trying to get better at that. Amy, what do you suck at?
Amy
I suck at saying anything in a concise way. Yeah, I'm gonna try to keep it at that.
Bobby Bones
Oh, she's being concise.
Lunchbox
Wow. Growth.
Bobby Bones
Okay, anything else?
Amy
I suck at not using the word, like, a lot when I talk.
Bobby Bones
I think we all can be there. I think we all can be there.
Amy
Filler words. And I have been speaking here professionally for 20 years, and I don't know why. Whenever I see clips of me talking, I say, why?
Lunchbox
How?
Bobby Bones
Anything else?
Amy
I suck at making plans to go out and do things outside of my house.
Bobby Bones
Okay, good.
Amy
Because how else am I gonna meet people?
Bobby Bones
Exactly. Yeah.
Amy
Are you good I. I'm good.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
Those were concise.
Bobby Bones
Oh, she was concise with all three of them. Wow, wow, wow.
Amy
Great job, man. Thank you, Eddie.
Eddie
All right, well, the obvious one is, I suck at math. Like, I'm really bad at.
Bobby Bones
That's not the obvious one.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
But the obvious one is you don't follow through with things, obviously. I'm gonna see if you get there.
Eddie
That's not.
Bobby Bones
That's.
Eddie
I don't think I suck at that. Oh, I suck at reading.
Bobby Bones
Like, you don't know how to read.
Eddie
No, I can read. It's just. I'm not. I'm not a fast reader. Sometimes I read a whole page and I forget about what I read because I wasn't really thinking about it. Suck at that. I suck at folding clothes really bad.
Bobby Bones
I do. I do. I mean. Hey, you know what? Me too. Wink, wink.
Eddie
I suck at laundry.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, me too.
Amy
Yeah.
Ray
Terrible.
Bobby Bones
That's not fair. We do that. That's weaponizing confidence. Yeah, I'm really not good at weaponizing confidence.
Amy
Y' all have figured that one out. Yeah.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Anything else?
Eddie
I'm just. I suck at being patient, you know? Like, I'm not very patient. Kind of want everything to just, like, let's go, let's go. Like, why are we really.
Amy
You're also kind of laid back, though.
Eddie
I know, but I guess patient with other people. Pretty laid back about me, but patient with other people. I need to work on that lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
What do you suck at?
Lunchbox
I suck at technology.
Eddie
That's true.
Lunchbox
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
Everybody amens them.
Lunchbox
I mean, technology just drives me up a wall trying to figure things out. It is unbelievable. I see, you know, like, videos online. I'm just like, how do they do that? And I can't figure anything out. That drives me nuts. I suck at patience with, like, Eddie said. I mean, my kids. I mean, I give them one chance, and then I blow a gasket because I just think it should be so quick and easy. And I don't understand why we dilly dally and we can't get. I suck at patience. I suck at golf. I play golf.
Bobby Bones
I could have added that one, too.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I love it. I practice, I go to the driving range, and it does not matter. You take suck.
Eddie
You take lessons at golf.
Lunchbox
I suck. Yeah, that's about it.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I feel you on that one, though, too. Amen. Everybody feel good?
Eddie
Yeah.
Lunchbox
How much I suck at, though.
Bobby Bones
Amy, how do you feel?
Amy
I feel good. Dang.
Bobby Bones
How concise was that?
Lunchbox
That was really good.
Bobby Bones
Getting Better already.
Ray
All right.
Amy
No filler words. No nothing.
Lunchbox
All right.
Bobby Bones
Everybody feel better? Just a little therapeutic exercise. Like, we share. We're vulnerable, then we try to get better. We help each other. If you want to tell us what you suck at, you can leave us a voice memo. Tell us what you really suck at. Voice memo, message, whatever. I get confused. Here's the thing.
Lunchbox
Here we go.
Bobby Bones
Here's the thing. It's two things. I send a lot of voice memos on my phone to people. Also on that iHeart app, you can push the button.
Amy
Oh, the. Talk back.
Bobby Bones
Talk back. And so I read so many liners for stations where I do that, and then. But we have a voicemail line.
Amy
You know what I suck at?
Bobby Bones
My. I. I talk too fast, and then I. I suck at that.
Eddie
Your list is done.
Ray
You're good.
Eddie
You're done.
Bobby Bones
No, I get. Dude, I could do two pages. I had to slow that down.
Amy
I suck at sending a short voice text.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
Or what are those called?
Bobby Bones
Voice memo.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
That's the same thing as every time I try. I try. I'm like, keep it under two minutes.
Lunchbox
Keep it under two minutes.
Amy
Yeah. And then. And then I'll do it.
Ray
I'll.
Amy
I'll be like, oh, I'm gonna do it again. And I do it again. And there I am at 159. And I'm like, no, I need to make it a minute. That's the goal. And I try to gather everything and make it. And then, sure enough, there I'm again at 159 again. And I'm like, well, I guess I'm. Everything I need to say.
Bobby Bones
Good job, everybody. Thanks for being vulnerable.
Eddie
Thank you.
Bobby Bones
What do you think about adults when they jump in the pool or jump in the lake? They hold their nose like. Like men. If they jump in and they're. They're doing this, they jump in.
Amy
Well, I think they probably had something happen when they were younger that was very uncomfortable, and now they're scared, so they have to do that.
Bobby Bones
Saw a picture of Tom Brady jumping off a boat, and he's a nose pincher.
Ray
Uhhuh.
Lunchbox
Oh, and they were making a big
Bobby Bones
deal about Tom Brady being a nose pincher. I'm a nose pincher.
Amy
You are, too Still.
Bobby Bones
And I grew up in the water.
Ray
Wow.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Amy
But so what happened to you?
Bobby Bones
Nothing.
Amy
At one point when you were little,
Bobby Bones
I didn't, like, touch me in a place. I didn't.
Amy
No. I feel like at some point, you went into the water and. And it gushed up into your Face and it was very uncomfortable. So then you became a nose pincher.
Bobby Bones
But doesn't that happen with everybody when you jump in the water early on in your life? Like, it's like, oh, yeah, yeah.
Amy
Or maybe that's just how you were taught to do it. Because, like, is anybody else here a nose pincher?
Bobby Bones
Great question. If you jump in the water off a diving board or jump off a boat, do you hold your nose?
Eddie
Nope, I do not. I blow out my nose when I go down.
Bobby Bones
You?
Lunchbox
No, I'm a man.
Bobby Bones
Ah, good point. Scuba. Do you hold your nose?
Eddie
No, but my 8 year old does though.
Lunchbox
Exactly. That's exactly right.
Eddie
But I'm a water guy. I've always loved the water.
Bobby Bones
And I feel like, dude, I grew up in lakes.
Eddie
Yeah, we were born in water. We had water all of innocent for nine months. It is kind of weird that we become weird with water outside the womb.
Bobby Bones
What if in a sonogram, back when I was a baby, I was holding
Eddie
my notes from the very beginning.
Bobby Bones
I was like, man, this sucks in here. I can't. I can't breathe. So if you see a dude holding his nose, jumping in somewhere, do you think he's less of a man?
Eddie
I do.
Lunchbox
Yes. Sure.
Amy
Not if it's Tom Brady.
Eddie
No, no, definitely Tom Brady.
Bobby Bones
No, any man.
Amy
It depends on the man.
Eddie
Like, I would think Tom Brady would. Would be the dude that does not do that.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Okay.
Ray
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Is it a little less than. Riddle me this. If you put one of those pinchers on your nose, those things that you put on, but you don't have to use your hands, but it does.
Lunchbox
Like, that's worse.
Amy
Yeah, it might be a little worse.
Eddie
What do you have a little putty in your ears too?
Lunchbox
Yeah, exactly.
Bobby Bones
Get out of here. What's wrong with that? I get bad swimmers here sometimes where I can't get the water out.
Lunchbox
Oh my gosh. You're not eight.
Bobby Bones
Why are we all attacking me right now? I'm just asking a question.
Eddie
I didn't know that you put put in yours.
Bobby Bones
Well, Amy also said you put you in dubious to imagine. Okay, I did not know that adults felt other adults doing this made them less of an adult.
Amy
Was it from really, really high or.
Bobby Bones
No, he was just jumping off a boat.
Lunchbox
That's embarrassing.
Bobby Bones
But if I jump in the pool, I do.
Eddie
Okay, you should work on that.
Bobby Bones
I don't care to.
Eddie
Okay, well, people are gonna judge.
Bobby Bones
Even if I'm underwater. Let's say I jump into that initial thing goes up and I hold my nose. I Don't even like go under. I keep holding it under. And if I'm underwater, the only time I don't is if I'm like trying to really make distance underneath and then I don't like it. There's water in my nose when I do that.
Eddie
Interesting. You've never blown out your nose just to keep the water out?
Bobby Bones
I have because I, I swam. I'm not going to say competitively, but I trained for triathlons and I guess I competed, but.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
And I wore a clip.
Eddie
I think.
Amy
No, you did not.
Bobby Bones
I think.
Amy
No, you didn't.
Ray
No, no, no.
Amy
At the triathlon.
Bobby Bones
I don't like this segment. This segment makes me uncomfortable.
Amy
You had.
Bobby Bones
I didn't know people felt like that. For everybody out there, I, I work with judgmental people and I hope you don't. But Tom Brady's a pincher and so am I. So Tom Brady and I, like in many ways, look at us. Anyways, there you go.
Ray
Bobby Bone show.
Lunchbox
This story comes to us from Columbia, Missouri. A 53 year old man was tired of cars speeding past his apartment. So he took matters into his own hand. He went and sat outside his apartment, right on the street. And when a car was speeding down the road, he'd point his gun at him.
Bobby Bones
Gun, gun, gun, gun. Not a speed like no, no, not
Lunchbox
like a radar gun. He would pull out a gun, point it at him, get him, slow down. Next car slow down by pointing a gun at him. So police were called.
Bobby Bones
He's lucky no one else pulled a gun on him and actually shot him. That's what I fear most, is that everybody has a gun and if someone gets a gun pulled on them, they pull theirs out and then shoot as well. What an idiot. Or a bonehead.
Lunchbox
I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead. Story of the day.

Voicemail please.
Ray
This is for Bobby and I don't want to pee in his Cheerios or anything, but like this whole Akron Zips play calling thing, he's not going to be Even if he gets picked, he's not going to be on the field with a headset on. That's not what's going on. You just kind of meet with the head coach. He's not going to let some fan come in and be calling a double fleece licker reverse Hail Mary. You know that ain't gonna happen, but bull crap.
Eddie
No, that's exactly what's gonna happen. Right?
Bobby Bones
Bull crap that I won't be on the field. We had the athletic director on and yeah, I think for hey, a casual they'll probably go, yeah, we all sit with the coach and write some stuff down. If I win this, I'll be on the field. I will have a headset on. I will run a double flea flicker, reverse, Hail Mary, Hail Mary. Jersey switch. Drop your helmet, pee, distract them. It's all happening now. I won't because I want to win.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And if and when I score, I'm just keeping the headset on and doing another series. They don't know that yet, but it's gonna again. It's gonna be so good. They're gonna go, wow, what talent. Because the head coach is also the offensive coordinator. So I'm not taking somebody's job. That's what I'm saying.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. If I win this, my life has changed.
Eddie
Yeah. And then every school's gonna be looking at you.
Bobby Bones
No, my life has changed. I'm out of here. If I'm the offensive coordinator for Akron this football season, good chance I'm out of here. So, Ray, do the other one, please.
Ray
I was calling because I was listening to the show the other day and listening to your list of men skill. What happened to changing the oil on a car? Changing a tire? How about learning cpr? I just wanted to call in and say, hey, love the show, thank you for the call.
Bobby Bones
Now, the list that we chose from, that we're learning things from, was a list that was online. As far as the other things, I can do all that. I can change a tire, no problem. I can do cpr. I'm CPR certified.
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
You can change oil.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I forgot. I didn't say that one on purpose. Okay, I skipped over that.
Lunchbox
Why did you do that?
Eddie
She did say that. Yeah, but.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but why do I need to.
Amy
I mean, you could.
Ray
Sure.
Bobby Bones
I get on YouTube, I type in change oil, then it just gives me directions down to the jiffy lube.
Eddie
20 minutes and you're out of there.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I hear you. Hit us up anytime. Voicemails. 877 77. Bobby. So I'm not a big energy drink guy. Caffeine, I feel, doesn't really work on me, but there. I like the taste of energy drinks. That there's a couple. And I do Sugar Free Red Bull sometimes. I like that. I do Celsius. And I like that right now I'm in the Alani phase. It's cherry.
Amy
You like the Alani?
Bobby Bones
Just like the taste.
Amy
Are you using the packets or the can?
Bobby Bones
No cans.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And now I bought strawberry, too.
Ray
Oh.
Bobby Bones
And that has caffeine. And if I'm not doing caffeine, I do those. Life Water, Life Cider, Life cider, which Are really good. No caffeine. And I do pineapple, coconut. That's it.
Eddie
Right.
Bobby Bones
I'm struggling with remembering all the things I drink. Yes. And if I'm doing soda, mostly I do poppy and I do cherry coke. And there's another kind that we have too. That's not poppy. It's a different one of those.
Eddie
Olipop.
Bobby Bones
Olipop, yeah. That's mostly what I drink. Try to drink a lot of water, but once I get enough water and then I reward myself with other things. But I'm really like, I liking the taste of that Alani stuff. Not a commercial. I should be an influencer. Don't they pay like 16 year olds to be like, I drink Alani.
Amy
I don't know if it's 16 year olds. There are 16 year olds that drink it. But as for influencing online, they're probably in their twenties and be organic.
Bobby Bones
Sign me up. Eddie Sun's drinking energy drinks.
Eddie
Oh, yeah. He walked in with a monster and I'm like, what are you doing?
Bobby Bones
Oh, that feels like hard drugs.
Eddie
Yes. I'm like, what are you doing? It's one of those big tall boy monsters. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no.
Bobby Bones
Like, what?
Eddie
When did you start drinking this? It was almost like he walked in with drugs.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
That feels like hard drug compared to what I have.
Amy
I feel you with that as a parent. It's like the time I found Red Bull hiding in Stashira's glove box in
Bobby Bones
her car and she's hiding weed. Almost what it feels like.
Amy
And she was like. And it was when she was hostessing and she goes, one of the cooks gave it to me and I'm like, that's where it starts in the restaurant business, working in the back.
Eddie
Like, I don't know what it is about monsters, but I had one one time and I was just shaking all day for the rest of the day.
Lunchbox
I've never had one.
Bobby Bones
They're so large and intense to me. And my association is with people who flip motorcycles and oh, yeah, extreme sports. I'm not extreme enough. Like the cans are too big and it feels a bit too extreme. I like my energy drinks to be that of a 19 year old influencer. Female.
Amy
Right?
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
Cherry a lot.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, cherry. Because mine's called like cherry slush. And then Celsius that I like is the watermelon. And occasionally I can get into the grape. Oh, yeah, the grape definitely is a different. But sometimes I'm just in the mood for a grape. You don't like that?
Amy
I just associate grape with cough syrups.
Eddie
Oh, not Fanta.
Amy
I didn't. I never heard of that.
Bobby Bones
Well, I don't do grape with Fanta either. I think I grab a Jolly Rancher and I don't really love grape. Jolly Ranchers.
Eddie
You should do that. Grape Olipop, dude, that is.
Bobby Bones
We have some of those. I don't like them.
Eddie
Really?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. That's why the Celsius thing, you know, we talk about later in life. We find out what's been killing us.
Eddie
Everything we just talked about.
Amy
I don't care.
Bobby Bones
I mean, whatever.
Amy
That's what I've. I used to. I deprived myself of Diet Coke for far too long and now I'm like, let her rip.
Eddie
Screw.
Amy
It's. We're gonna be fine. I would need to drink 500 of them.
Eddie
You probably already have.
Amy
No, no, no. In a day.
Ray
Oh.
Amy
Like for it to be a problem. And obviously there's some exaggeration there, but you have to drink a lot. I think we're fine.
Lunchbox
Abby.
Bobby Bones
Don't judge me. Okay, I'm gonna. My headphones came out. Hold on. And she's in the other room, so I have to hear her. Don't judge me for what I'm about to say.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
This is just gonna be. Oh no, she's hanging out. Hold on. I can't hear you.
Lunchbox
We're all friends. Abby.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Gotta find the hole. Got the hole.
Eddie
What is that? A box?
Bobby Bones
So these are books. Oh, right. These are my books. Which by the way, bare bones is 10 years old. Just recently.
Eddie
Wow. Happy birthday.
Bobby Bones
That crazy 10 year anniversary. Still buy it if you want. It's on Amazon still up there. It's pretty cheap now. I think it's like a nickel. Somebody dropped a box off of books for me to sign, which is not uncommon. And then I started looking at them and these people sent these in like 2019, 2020. They've been sitting somewhere and someone just dropped them off. So I have to sign all. I don't have to. Some people might be dead. They even put. So I'm going to sign them all and send them out to these addresses where people may not even live anymore. I don't even know how this box of books got here. But all of them are sent from 20. Some 1819 and 2020. So my point was. Abby, can you send these off for me once I'm done signing?
Amy
Yeah, they have addresses?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, no, they all came with like self addressed and so this one here. But they self address it and this envelope's not big enough to hold the book. So it's like, didn't make sense, but. So I want to sign these if you'll help me send these back. Because I know we do that normally. Listeners send books up and then we sign them, But I just thought it was wild that all these are sent from years and years ago. Like, here's a letter. Oh, my God. There's money in this one.
Ray
What?
Eddie
That's a lot of money.
Bobby Bones
There's $15.
Lunchbox
Oh, I'll take that.
Amy
Oh, maybe that's for mail to cover the costs.
Eddie
Yeah, that's about right. 15 bucks.
Bobby Bones
This is from 12, 13, 20, 18.
Eddie
And where's it been sitting?
Bobby Bones
I don't know. The box showed up here.
Ray
Weird.
Bobby Bones
So somebody had it. Was supposed to give it to me a long time ago. Probably found it, was embarrassed and never got to me, and then just dropped it off here. Hi, Bobby. I'm just sorry to bother you. It's taking me a while to get to you in your new book. It's been sold out everywhere.
Eddie
New book.
Bobby Bones
Crazy, right?
Eddie
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
I know you're a very busy man. My nana is a huge fan of yours. We went to Nashville to watch your comedy show. I bought your new book for. I bet nana died.
Lunchbox
No, Nana's only 70.
Eddie
No, you don't know that.
Lunchbox
I'm just going by the tone.
Bobby Bones
You autograph it, please. She will be over the moon, excited. I wish they put their phone number on here because I would call her. She will be over the moon, excited. I'll put the money for the return cost. Ah, we can send it from here. It's a show thing. Thank you so much. Might. And she has her address on here.
Eddie
And look at that money. It's so old. It's like pirate treasure.
Bobby Bones
That's crazy. 2018. I think it's this one.
Eddie
No, there's a paper in that one.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's not the same one. Maybe it's this one.
Eddie
That's got a little sticky thing on it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it says for encouragement. And we'll add to mirror.
Dr. Andrew Goodrich
Here's.
Bobby Bones
It's a letter. It's another letter. If I can't find the book for that letter, I'll just send a different book that I have here. 2017.
Eddie
Wow.
Amy
Long time.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
My name's Elle. Ellie. And I'm from Omaha, Nebraska. I'm a big fan of the show. And she writes, I'll read all this later. She writes three pages.
Ray
Wow.
Lunchbox
Something's wrong with our mail. If we're just now getting that.
Eddie
Yeah, somebody done goofed up Total different location. That's probably. Yeah. Old studio.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. But even then, we've been in the old studio in the last three years.
Amy
Right.
Bobby Bones
So, Abby, can I give you this and just have you kind of organize it for me? And then I'll just sign to whomever like we normally do. I don't need it today.
Amy
Yeah, I'll put a note in there. And it's like, call us when you get this.
Bobby Bones
They've been. Yeah, they've been waiting nine years. That's crazy. Tomorrow's not gonna affect anything.
Eddie
It's like in that movie Castaway, you know, when he delivers the FedEx package way later because he was stuck on an island. Spoiler alert.
Bobby Bones
How wild is that? I thought it was people who sent books just for me to sign now, because that happens. And then I saw one 2018, and I saw another one, and then it's like, oh, my God. Somebody had these books sent to them for me to do. They never gave them to me. They put them somewhere. They got lost and they realized, oh, crap. And they just dropped them off here at the building. So I like to apologize to everybody who sent those because we've been pretty good. I've been pretty good about signing everything and sending it back. The only issue we really have here, if you send stuff and I've said this, is if you do send a book for me to sign now, send it to Scuba Steve. Don't send it to me because people steal my mail sometimes because they expect there's good stuff in it. There's mostly not. Although there's two big dog somethings out there. What's out there?
Eddie
Well, that's for you. I've been meaning to give it to you on the way out. It's someone who listens to the show and sent you. They're actually pretty cool. Like these dog beds that have circulation and stuff. You can check them out later.
Bobby Bones
I lay in it. I put one in my office.
Eddie
It's big enough for you.
Bobby Bones
When I'm taking a break, you guys come back there. I'm laying in the dog bed. Pretty big. Okay. I feel bad about those books, but I shouldn't. Like, I didn't do that, right?
Lunchbox
Yeah. It's not your fault. I mean, there's nothing on you.
Bobby Bones
Nothing on you.
Eddie
Babe.
Bobby Bones
That was a good song. You know what other songs were good that we like? You kind of forget is that Lover, Lover, Lover, You Don't Treat Me no Good. That's a jam.
Eddie
The Lee Bryce.
Bobby Bones
No, Jared Neiman, But Jared Neiman.
Eddie
Dang I forgot about him.
Bobby Bones
Like, there are some of those songs that, when we first moved here, that were just bangers and we. They don't get played anymore. We don't play music anyway. But I've been trying to put them in the dance party a little bit. Another one that's kind of like that. Oh, man. I just had it in my head. So Lover Lovers is a good one. What else comes to you guys mind? Because whatever it was me slept out. I slept out here.
Eddie
I heard one the other day that brought back so many memories, but it was a Hunter Hayes 1.
Bobby Bones
His head. Great song. And it was Wanted.
Eddie
No, no, no.
Bobby Bones
Storm warning?
Eddie
No. Gosh, I don't even remember, but I heard it playing somewhere and I'm like, oh, my gosh. I feel like I learned that song because we. We would play it, like, in our sets early. Early Raging Idiots.
Bobby Bones
We'd play a Hunter Hay song.
Eddie
Yeah, I gotta.
Amy
Really.
Eddie
I gotta find it.
Ray
1.
Bobby Bones
Make you feel, you know what song was a jam, too, was Every Storm Runs Runs out of Rain. Gary Allen.
Amy
Okay. I just had to confirm what it was that I heard.
Bobby Bones
Somebody's Heartbreak. I Want Crazy.
Eddie
Nope.
Bobby Bones
What'd you hear?
Amy
I. I was walking in a truck, drove by with their windows down, and they were jamming this song, and I was like, yes. And it's Easton Corbin all over the road.
Bobby Bones
Okay. That Easton Corbin was who I was thinking about.
Amy
Yeah. I'm all over the road. Can't help but go.
Bobby Bones
A little bit of left, a little bit of right. That was the jam too.
Amy
So good. I was like, dang, I wish. I mean, the guy couldn't hear me, but I was like, what a jam.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. What other songs Easton Corbin have that were good? Because I feel like, oh, the other one is I'm a little more country than that. That was a jam too. He had Lovin you is Easy. Remember that one?
Amy
That was Easton.
Bobby Bones
I think so. Or oh, Loving youg Is Fun. That's what it's called. Do you remember that one?
Amy
I mean, I'd have to hear it.
Bobby Bones
There's a run of, like. You get the Easton Corbin's, the Jared Neiman's, the Joe Nichols, like those, they all kind of mixed together for a minute because they were all having bangers at the same time. And then a whole new crop of Michael Rays came along. And then you got all those guys mixed up. What'd you. What'd you find?
Eddie
Everybody's got somebody. Everybody's got somebody but Me. You remember that one?
Bobby Bones
I haven't thought about that song forever.
Eddie
I'm telling you. I was at some store and it came on. I'm like, oh my gosh. These slew of memories just came in. Everybody's Got somebody but Me. Something like that.
Bobby Bones
That was a good one. It was kind of fun.
Eddie
It was catchy. I heard the guitar riff and I'm like, I remember learning that guitar riff.
Bobby Bones
When I think about moving here, I think about, oh, Hauser. Girl, you'll never forget.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
That's a song I think about when we first moved here.
Eddie
Another one is Parking Lot Party.
Bobby Bones
That one even Brett's. Don't you? I think about when I first moved here because that one was big. Don't you? Oh, but lady a Downtown.
Eddie
Yeah, down, down.
Amy
Yeah, we made a little video.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, Take me downtown.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
That's a jam, man. They just don't make music like they used to.
Eddie
Sometimes I'll go to playlists of that year, like give me the country hits of that year. And it takes me straight back to us moving here.
Bobby Bones
I mean, we're constantly seeking out songs for dance parties. We do it every week and trying to find new songs. And you don't really want to play songs people don't know or even just kinda hits. Yeah, but I come across some of those sometimes and go, dang. That Even a song that Luke Bryan. That's my kind of night. Because that reminds me of being here at first.
Eddie
Big black jack dump truck. I got my big right wrecked up truck.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's catfish dinner.
Amy
There's some Cole Swindell song chilling it.
Bobby Bones
She got my days.
Amy
And they dropped like coolers off at the studio.
Eddie
We used that cooler like every weekend. Me, Ray and Lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you still have it?
Eddie
No, no, no. We used it like we put beers in there and chilled it. I don't think you knew that.
Bobby Bones
Why would I care?
Eddie
Because it was in the studio and I think that we would like forget beers in there. And if you open it up, there'd be cold beers in there from the weekend.
Bobby Bones
Dude, I was so overwhelmed with life at that point and work. You guys could have had heroin and meth and been selling it in jars of salsa. That I would not known it was weird. What if you were selling drugs in your salsa though? Like you would do. It was inside the salsa.
Eddie
That's a good idea. No wonder it's 1250. There's drugs in there. I remember one night at the old studio, we got in there early in the morning and there were shot glasses everywhere. And then we found out later that Toby Keith had been in there overnight. Do you remember that?
Bobby Bones
No, no. You guys don't remember, but he wasn't used. He wasn't using the shot glasses. He was leaving them for us.
Eddie
No, no, he had. They were drinking.
Bobby Bones
Toby. Santa.
Eddie
Yeah, Toby and, like, some I heart guys were in there drinking.
Bobby Bones
Oh, they were. Got it. We're talking about tipping. And Lunchbox said, should you tip your nurse? Because he saw a nurse rolling someone out in a wheelchair. And then we had the debate on if it was even a nurse. And turns out maybe it wasn't a nurse. It was just someone in scrubs who worked there as an assistant. So a couple voicemails here.
Ray
Number one, Lunchbox or whatever had been to the hospital with his son. People were rolling out with a wheelchair. Should you tip the nurse? This, that and the other. Most of those people are retired and most of them are volunteers, so just thought I would pass that along. Thank you.
Bobby Bones
I think, for the most part, we do believe that wasn't a nurse. Right? It was.
Eddie
Right.
Lunchbox
I guess. I don't know. I thought they were all nurses.
Eddie
Transporters, something, assistant, something. There was like a title.
Bobby Bones
Sounds like a time machine. We did have a nurse squat with us whenever Billy was born to go out and make sure I know to put the car seat in like a nurse did. Walk out with us then and go, let me see it, big boy. And I said, the car seat? Yeah. She's like, you're all good. That was a nurse. I also did not tip her because I didn't feel like a nurse was used to getting tips. Yeah, that felt weird. Give me number two.
Ray
No. It is illegal to tip any health care professional. In our moral clauses of our state license, you can lose your license as a health care professional. That's here.
Eddie
So is it illegal to. For them to accept the money, but, like, can you just leave it on the tray or something? Like, yeah.
Bobby Bones
And also, they're not going to turn you in, right? If you give them 20 bucks. Like, you hand somebody 20 bucks. Got him. Citizens arrest. You tip me, I'm calling the cops. Stay right here, sir. Thank you all for all the voicemails, all the calls. We had a heck of a show today.
Ray
Bam.
