Prime Big Deal days coming soon. October 7th and 8th. It's the anonymous inbox. There's a question to be had. Send it into the mail bag. Hello, Bobby Bones. I thought I was being funny when I would occasionally comment on my teenage son's social media posts, but oh, my gosh. But yesterday he came to me with a serious look on his face and told me I'm being cringe and begged me not to comment anymore. I've always seen myself as a fun, goofy dad, sometimes replying to his memes. And I think I'm funny. I think his friends like me. They laugh at my jokes. But now he says I'm ruining his image and embarrassing him. I feel like I can't win. I'm either absent or cringe. Is this just teenage stuff or am I actually the problem? Signed Cringy Dad. Well, let's go to the people that have teenage kids. Amy, you're first.
Amy
I just commented on one of my daughter's posts yesterday. I use the word clutch in it as well.
Eddie
Oh, boy, oh boy.
Amy
So she posted how, you know, she. Her dad like better that she couldn't eat this salad and he paid her to eat it. And so she mixed it with fettuccine and she showed him because she's like, couldn't even taste the salad. Pay up. And so I was like, oh, clutch idea. Mixing the salad and the fettuccine.
Bobby Bones
And did you feel cool?
Amy
I. I felt like, look at me. Engaging. And I felt fine. She might be like, oh, there's my mom. And she's saying clutch. Like, I don't know. I want to connect with her in that way. But I guess if she were to voice to me like, hey, mom, that that comment was cringe, then I guess I would back out, back off. Because there's other ways for me to connect with her. You're not absent just because you're not posting on their social media.
Bobby Bones
That's a good point. Eddie, what do you think about this?
Eddie
Yeah, they're. Amy, this guy, they're all being cringe. Like the social what? Social media is the one place you don't butt in.
Bobby Bones
Like, even you saying that.
Amy
But also, Eddie's kids don't have it.
Eddie
The. My. My son does.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
My 17 year old does. And when he posed. I'm not touching that. But it's the same thing. Like, I like to be funny with him around his friends. But a few years ago, he got mad at me because I was picking him up, taking him to homecoming or something, and I acted like the Uber driver. I did my Uber driver bit.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
And he was like, dad, don't do that. I was like, if he's embarrassed in person, I can't do that on social media.
Bobby Bones
What do you say to this, dad?
Eddie
Dude, there's a time and place to be funny and be cool. Funny. Dad, social media is not it.
Bobby Bones
I think you had a good point too, Amy. Just because you're not posting doesn't mean you're absent.
Amy
Right. You're not. It's not. It's not. There's a gray area there.
Bobby Bones
You're showing up to his events. You know, you're working, you live in the house, you're being a provider or one way or the other. Yeah, I would just stop posting. If he asks you to stop posting. The stop post. I'd probably stop posting. I'd give him that. Thank you for the email. I still. We still think you're a good dad, but you can be a good dad and be cringe. And you're both probably. All right, close it up. It's time for the good news with Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
There was a dude in Illinois and he's at work and he heard co workers talking, hey, man, someone around here won a million dollars. He's like, what are you talking about? They're like, yeah, the lottery. Someone in justice, they bought a ticket and it's worth $1 million. And he's like, huh? He went home that night. He's like, wait a minute. I bought lottery tickets in justice last week. Let me go ahead and scan this and see if I won. They scanned it and he said, man, I won $1,000. And they looked at the screen is like, $1 million.
Eddie
That'd be awesome.
Bobby Bones
He heard somebody.
Eddie
Yeah, it was him.
Lunchbox
I mean, that's crazy. And he said he hadn't played the lottery in a while, and the lottery was up to 12 million, whatever game he played. And he's like, got gas. He had $10 bill in his pocket, went in, bought $10 worth of tickets, came out a millionaire.
Bobby Bones
Maybe you should not play for a while. No, no, no, no, no, no. That's a missed opportunity.
Lunchbox
That's a. Missed chances.
Bobby Bones
All right. There you go. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good, bones. I'll go first. So Al Green had a song called Take Me to the River. You ever heard of Amy?
Amy
Yeah. Take Me to the river, but me in the water.
Bobby Bones
Correct. And so it made a little bit of money, was a moderate hit, but now it's making a ton of money because big mouth Billy Bass. Yeah.
Eddie
He would sing that song, that fish.
Bobby Bones
That you push the red button and his head turns and goes, take me to the river.
Eddie
That was awesome.
Bobby Bones
That's where he's made milk. Well, he's dead now, but that's where he's made millions of doll dollars from Billy Bass. That's awesome. Not the actual song being on the radio or sold. Or sold at a record store. Amy, you're up.
Amy
So you know the Pinocchio thing with lying?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Your nose. Gross.
Amy
Well, our noses don't grow when we lie, but apparently our nose temperature rises when we lie. So according to Science Daily, whenever someone is telling a lie, the temperature around their nose and the orbital muscle in the inner corner of their eye will increase if there was only a way to measure it when our kids were telling us something.
Bobby Bones
Well, a lie detector uses that, too. Like temperature when they put stuff on your fingers. So not only is it heart rate. Yeah. Your body temperature is another part of that.
Amy
Oh, I didn't know that.
Bobby Bones
And so it can go up and down. And if it goes up, that's one of the factors where they think deception is involved.
Amy
But I would also just think if I'm being put on a lie detector, whether I'm telling the truth or not. Like, I'm nervous, so I'm, you know.
Eddie
True.
Bobby Bones
I would be nervous, though, even if I were telling the truth, that it were going to mess up and say I was lying.
Amy
That's what I mean.
Bobby Bones
Oh, got it.
Amy
Because you're not being questioned. Like, for me, fun. Like, I feel like if you're In a lie detector. Serious?
Bobby Bones
I'm surprised more rich people don't have them at home.
Amy
For what?
Bobby Bones
To check if their kids are lying. Oh.
Eddie
Oh, that. God, that'd be awesome.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I don't know how much one of those costs, but I'm surprised more rich people don't have like an administrator just come over and. Okay, well, let's see.
Eddie
Yeah. Cuz you need to be specialized in that, right? You can't just do it.
Bobby Bones
I think. I'm sure, yes.
Eddie
In the movies there you do?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay. Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
In a beehive, only a few bees get to mate with the queen. And when they do, they die shortly after. So you get to the cream of the crop. You finally get to the top. The head honcho. See ya.
Bobby Bones
I wonder if they know that or if they think I did it. I finally achieved. I get to hook up with the queen. Big day. Big day, boys. Giving us little B buddies high fives. It's me and the queen or they know. Yeah, I get to do it, but it's over. It's been good seeing you like that. And then also if there was. Who's the head of the, like the head of your hive? Like what, what girl would it, what, what actress would it be? And then would you, Would you trade it for death?
Eddie
No, Halle Berry, dude.
Lunchbox
No, I don't think I'd get. I. I don't think I'd want to just. And then I die. No, Halle Berry ain't worth that.
Bobby Bones
Would you do it for a 10 chance of dying? Like if there was a wheel and it had 10 spots on it.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Eddie
What about Kim K?
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So for a 10 chance of dying.
Amy
You spin the wheel, hook up, roulette.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I would do it because he's.
Bobby Bones
Not gonna do it straight up. But I wonder what the gamble would be if he'd do it for 10 chance of him dying.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I think 10, probably the most. I'd go 15, because, man, the wheel has a way of messing with me. It doesn't really like me very much.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but for a 10 chance you would do it?
Lunchbox
Heck yeah, Halle Berry.
Bobby Bones
All right, Morgan.
Amy
When a crow feels sick, it will go to an ant's nest and deliberately disturb it. And the ants get angry, obviously, and they start climbing on the crow. But the crow doesn't move. It'll spread its wings. Actually, the ants spray this acid on the crow. And that acid helps remove germs and fungi like a natural medicine. So after this, the crow feels better.
Bobby Bones
That's pretty cool.
Eddie
They figure this out like, was there a crow? That was just like, guys, you'll never believe.
Amy
Right? Well, then you would think that the bees would figure out, hey, don't mate with the queen, everybody.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. Got it, got it.
Amy
Yeah. Everybody drops dead.
Bobby Bones
That's a good point, too. I don't know, 10 though. He'd do it.
Eddie
Yeah, 10%.
Bobby Bones
Don't forget Eddie.
Eddie
So Iceland is the one country that uses the most energy in the world. You know why? Because it's dark for most of the year. They have lights on almost all year round. So, like, yeah, the U. S. They spend more. More than 23 more than the US does.
Bobby Bones
Can I challenge that? Go ahead. I would think there's so few people there that even them using it all the time wouldn't be near as much, maybe per capita. What does it say?
Eddie
It just says that they use 23 more than the US does and they are the. The country that uses the most energy out of everyone, per capita.
Bobby Bones
I just looked it up.
Eddie
Oh, per capita.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Iceland has the highest per capita electricity consumption.
Eddie
Why do you always take my. You take my facts and then you're.
Bobby Bones
Like, no, I just didn't think that felt accurate. Because there's such a small population. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That even if they were dark all the time, it wouldn't match when we're dark half the time because we're. We're more than double their population. So I was just doing the number game.
Eddie
Were you there when it was dark because you went to Iceland, right?
Bobby Bones
Yes, I was there when it was light the whole time.
Eddie
Oh, that's crazy.
Bobby Bones
It's bizarre.
Eddie
I couldn't get used to that.
Bobby Bones
It's bizarre. All right, there you go. Fun Fact Friday. Fun fact. All right, what's the question?
Amy
If I got arrested, what crime would you assume I committed? So it's a question that we all get to ask ourselves.
Bobby Bones
So if I got a call saying that Amy's been arrested, what would I assume it's for? Yeah, okay. For refusing to report that you saw a crime because you felt like it was going to be retaliated against against you.
Amy
Yeah, that's solid.
Bobby Bones
Like you wouldn't want to say if you saw a crime because you think the person doing the crime would come and kill you after.
Amy
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
You know what I mean? How about for reckless driving because you crashed into a building that, quote, came out of nowhere?
Eddie
No, that's what I would say. Hit and run, didn't notice them. Whatever you hit.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Or maybe arrested for blocking traffic because you Stopped your car because you were getting a sign from the universe.
Eddie
Oh, cardinals.
Amy
I was rescuing something.
Bobby Bones
No, no. It was just a sign. And you wanted to stare at it. Okay, yeah, from the universe. Or maybe trespassing, because you were in someone's backyard because you saw a rare bird and you wanted to go, that's good. Get in the backyard. Get closer to the bird.
Amy
Okay. I mean, the first one is probably the only actual one.
Bobby Bones
Okay, well, you just asked Eddie. What?
Lunchbox
What?
Eddie
I would.
Bobby Bones
If you called and said, I've been arrested and I were to assume what you did, maybe you finally snapped when your neighbor wouldn't move their car from in front of your house. Oh, dang.
Eddie
And what did I do?
Bobby Bones
Street parking.
Eddie
I did something bad. Something so bad. To get me arrested.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yes. Maybe even, like, killed him. Because here's the thing with you. You're very nice, you're very warm. You're very fun to be around. But when you snap, it's ugly.
Eddie
I broke a broom one time, and it was.
Bobby Bones
No, you. You get rage, too. Like, in traffic. And that would be the next one.
Eddie
Road rage.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. You'd be arrested for road rage because you chased someone down that cut you off.
Eddie
I want people to understand that I'm more of a vigilante on the road. If I see someone.
Bobby Bones
You're not a crime fighter.
Eddie
Right.
Bobby Bones
It's not. It's not your job to stop people that are driving. Ridiculous.
Eddie
Sometimes I feel like all I have to do is just slow down, get in front of them so that they slow down and not affect everyone else.
Bobby Bones
So I think that'd be a call I would get. I've been arrested. I was doing vigilante justice on the road. Or sneaking into the Dallas Cowboys locker room after a win. Dang.
Eddie
I did sneak in the stadium one time.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
With my kids.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. If it were lunchbox stalking, like Johnny Bananas, like Johnny Bananas had. I just heard him talk about him so much, for sure. And he's like, I. He was on the Johnny Bananas watch list. And so when he comes around, they noticed he was a little too close, and so they arrested him for that. Hey, what is it about Johnny Bananas you like, Lunchbox? Because I don't. I don't know him enough to like him or not like him.
Lunchbox
I mean, I just. I love. His personality is great the way he's a villain, but he's also likable. Like, he took the month. There was one season of the Challenge where you had a partner, and at the end, you had to write down, do you Share it with your partner or do you take the money and run? And he said, well, Teegen, I think I'm have to take the money and run. And he left Sarah with no money he want. He took like $200,000 from her.
Eddie
Isn't that kind of rude though?
Bobby Bones
Like, hey, that's, that's playing the game, right?
Lunchbox
That's playing the game.
Bobby Bones
Real life. That's game life.
Lunchbox
And it was like, man, this is so genius and so cool. And he's just, he's a potter. He's always in the mix. It's just everything about him. He's awesome and he's gone for.
Bobby Bones
Do you wish you could be him? That's what it sounds like.
Lunchbox
I mean, he was really the first person to take reality TV and make it a career.
Bobby Bones
And so it's not unlike Elizabeth Hasselback or those people that turned it into something.
Lunchbox
Yeah, but he's turned it into multiple things.
Eddie
A little pause there.
Bobby Bones
Oh, oh, I don't know, I feel like they're. Is he wrong?
Amy
Yeah, I'm siding with you.
Bobby Bones
No, I know. Is he okay?
Lunchbox
I'm not wrong because Elizabeth Hasbrecht. Yeah, she did go on Survivor and she was on the Today show or whatever.
Bobby Bones
Other View forever.
Lunchbox
Yeah, same difference. But now she's gone. She's not in the spotlight anymore. Johnny Bananas is still at it. He's still, he went on the Traders. He went on. I mean, he's still kicking.
Amy
Yeah, but you put their pictures up and more people on the, like say you're walking down the street, two pictures, Johnny and Elizabeth. People are gonna be like, oh, that's Elizabeth has back.
Lunchbox
I don't.
Amy
They're gonna be like, I don't know who that guy is.
Bobby Bones
I always felt like, because again, I don't follow the content. Johnny Bananas does, but I respect it. Anyone that can last, like, respect. It's a hard world to live in. But I always felt like there are two people whose name didn't match their face. Johnny Bananas. Because he doesn't look bananas enough. He's just like a normal, good looking dude. Yeah. And Mr. Beast doesn't look like a beast.
Eddie
No, opposite of a beast.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Just kind of like a little weird guy.
Amy
I gotta look him up.
Lunchbox
Who?
Amy
Johnny Bananas.
Bobby Bones
He doesn't look bananas. Brace yourself.
Amy
Well, I mean, I've seen him before.
Lunchbox
You don't know who Johnny Bananas is?
Amy
I need a. I can't pick like right now.
Bobby Bones
I don't think I would know.
Amy
Okay, yes, yes, I know who. I was just picturing an Average dark haired guy. Guy like, good looking.
Bobby Bones
Shouldn't he be more bananas looking like, oh, I'm crazy.
Amy
It's not as zany.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he's just like normal and cool. Another one would be lunchbox. If he got arrested, be tax evasion.
Lunchbox
Oh, no comment.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah. Tax evasion. What if it were me? I'm gonna put this on you.
Amy
I mean, if I called and I'm.
Bobby Bones
Like, I'm in jail, you would think what?
Amy
You were driving too slow.
Eddie
That's what I thought.
Bobby Bones
Amy.
Eddie
Oh, hey, like there was 80 car collision on the interstate.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Bobby was driving too slow.
Amy
Yeah. You caused a pile up on the interst. Wait, the cameras caught you like your grandma driving?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's. That's pretty good.
Amy
I mean, honestly, what else could it be?
Bobby Bones
Like, maybe like. Because I'm the only fight that I've almost gotten into in the past couple years.
Amy
You think that we're gonna think you got arrested for fighting?
Eddie
No, I thought this too. Pickleball tournament.
Bobby Bones
Yes, that's exactly it. Like I assaulted someone with a pickleball paddle because he.
Eddie
He was cheating and Bobby's super competitive, so this would be the place where if he were to fight, he would fight.
Bobby Bones
That's the only time that my blood has been boiling. When that dude was cheating in the pickleball tournament. And we started screaming at each other.
Eddie
What about Arkansas loss.
Bobby Bones
But what would I do?
Eddie
Like you say you see red sometimes after a loss.
Amy
Like, you know, like that show snapped for women.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but what would I do? What would I snap?
Amy
Well, that's the thing. We don't know yet. You're just gonna snap.
Bobby Bones
I kind of just punch my couch. Get out of my system, everybody. Don't get arrested. Okay?
Eddie
Yeah, we'll try.
Bobby Bones
It's time for the good news with Amy.
Lunchbox
Tell me something good.
Amy
Anish Manaire. She grew up loving arts and crafts, something that was encouraged by her mother. So she scrapbooked a lot. Like all these family photos. Well, they also moved a lot. So as a kid, this precious scrapbook went missing. She's now 30 years old and someone found her scrapbook at Goodwill, put it up on TikTok. It went viral, over a million views. And one day she gets a message from someone saying like, hey, I think this might be yours. Check out this viral TikTok. And she's like, oh my gosh, that is mine. So she got it back, and her response video has like over 2 million views because she was so grateful. I don't know, the whole thing just made me Smile.
Bobby Bones
So it didn't go missing. Someone accidentally donated it.
Amy
Yeah, well, she lost it along the way and somehow it ended up at a goodwill, which, yeah, maybe I guess her parents in one of the moves maybe threw it in a box.
Lunchbox
Dang.
Bobby Bones
It's like somebody stole it.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like somebody's accidentally donated it. Dang. Good one. And she got 2 million, which that's probably like 80 bucks in Tik Tok money. Yeah, There you go. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good.

Lunchbox
The Morning Corny.
Amy
What do you call a person who runs behind a car?
Bobby Bones
What do you call a person who runs behind a car?
Amy
Exhausted.
Bobby Bones
That's pretty good. That was the Morning Corny. Now let's bring on Grace, who's listening in Texas. Grace, good morning. Oh, hello, Grace.
Amy
Good morning, studio.
Bobby Bones
Morning. Hey, do you have a kid in the backseat?
Amy
I have three of them with me.
Bobby Bones
But we're not in the car anymore. Oh, okay. Well, I appreciate you listening. Well, then I don't want to keep you. I do have a prize for you, though, for listening and sitting here on the phone. Would you like a free prize this morning? Sure. Okay, how about this? I have you a 250 chipotle gift card. How does that sound? Oh, wow. That's awesome. Can you feed the kids with 250 bucks at Chipotle?
Amy
Yes, for sure.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's right. Maybe they scream a little less. Okay, cool. So thank you for staying on the phone. I just wanted to reward somebody for sitting on the phone. And I do have a Chipotle gift card here, so stay on the phone, Grace. We will get you your prize. I hope you have an awesome day today.
Amy
You, too. Thank you.
Bobby Bones
All right, Chipotle's carne asada is back here for a limited time. It's awesome. Try it today at any Chipotle restaurant or in the Chipotle app or chipotle.com and so Grace had been on hold. I felt bad. She'd been a hole for so long.
Amy
She'S not even in the car anymore. Yeah, that's so long.
Bobby Bones
That's a good point. And so that's a pretty good price. Let's say you've been waiting on hold, I don't know, hypothetical question for 38 minutes and somebody gave you a 250 chipotle gift card. Would that be worth it?
Eddie
That would make it a.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Okay. Perfect.
Amy
Yeah, for sure. Especially if you have kids. My kids get the kids meals there. Or the build your own. And that 250 will last a long time. Those meals are like, they're a deal.
Bobby Bones
Good one. All right.
Amy
They are a deal. Like, I didn't want to say exact price in case it varies state to state, but I would say like five bucks.
Bobby Bones
All right, Grace, thank you for listening. The Friday morning conversation with Tim McGraw. Were you surprised that your bald Head went viral was. It was everywhere.
Tim McGraw
I know.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Tim McGraw
You know, it's. It was one of those things I wanted to try. I did it, and the main thing is my wife loved it, so I think I'm gonna keep it for a while.
Bobby Bones
Eddie just went full bald as well. Yeah.
Tim McGraw
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It looks good on you.
Eddie
Thank you, man. Same with you.
Bobby Bones
It felt great, but it was great.
Eddie
It's funny you're wearing a hat. Because I wore a hat for so long that even when I shaved my head every other day, I stopped wearing my hat.
Tim McGraw
You stopped wearing your hat? It feels good, right? But the problem is it gets cold quick. You notice that.
Bobby Bones
Are you, like, extra jacked?
Tim McGraw
I'm trying to get back in shape.
Bobby Bones
Like, a little bit. Like you were in shape last time, but you look extremely muscular.
Tim McGraw
Well, I'm. Well, I'm working at it. I'm working at it because, you know, I've gone through the last couple of years. I've had, like, seven surgeries over the last few years, so I'm slowly working myself back into shape.
Bobby Bones
Question, does the girl die at the end of Don't Take the Girl?
Tim McGraw
The mom. I think the mom probably dies. Oh, yeah.
Amy
I mean, but you can do.
Tim McGraw
Well, it makes it more sad, right?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Tim McGraw
Yeah.
Eddie
Is that not what you wanted, Bones?
Bobby Bones
No, no, I really wanted her. I was rooting for her.
Tim McGraw
I was rooting for her, too, but, you know, sadly, I don't think she made it.
Bobby Bones
Did you get a lot of pushback in 2004, whenever you and Nelly did, Over and over?
Tim McGraw
I don't remember a lot of pushback, to tell you the truth.
Bobby Bones
Do you think it's because there wasn't social media?
Tim McGraw
I think probably it wasn't social media. I don't think that people thought that much about it. In fact, I don't think it was ever planned on being a single. And I think that once the album dropped, radio stations just started playing it and picking it up and it overtook, I think, the single that they had out at the time.
Amy
How could you hate it, though? It's so good.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we loved it. Obviously.
Amy
We love it. Yeah. But, I mean, there.
Bobby Bones
How did that call go? Hey, do it, Tim, you want to record the song? How'd that go?
Tim McGraw
Yeah, we. We. I got the call from Nelly and he had pieces of the song, and then I met him in the studio in la. And I'm not going to tell you what all happened in the studio in la. We met, but it was foggy.
Bobby Bones
Got it. Yeah, got it.
Tim McGraw
It was foggy. But the coolest thing was at the time, Robert Allen was my tour manager, and Robert works with Taylor Swift now. But Robert's brother is the drummer for Def Leppard.
Bobby Bones
The drummer from Def Leppard only has one arm.
Tim McGraw
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Tim McGraw
And so Rick was in the studio. He came. He and Robert and I went to the studio and hung out. And so we had a legal pad and we sat there with the track and just wrote the song as we were recording it. Had no idea how it was going to turn out.
Bobby Bones
Is that a lost art, writing in a studio?
Tim McGraw
You know, I don't know that people do it a whole lot anymore. I know it's a fantasy of mine to go into the studio and just start cutting tracks and then write stuff to it later. And you always want to do that, and you always feel like you want to do that, but. But then you get into a time crunch and then everybody's wanting the record and you're having to work and get things done really quickly so that it really doesn't happen as much as it used to.
Bobby Bones
I don't think. I was talking with Dirk Spent Lee and he said you gifted him a box of books at one time.
Tim McGraw
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And it was like, really thick books. And he didn't know if you were kidding or not because you were giving him, like, books on the Russian Renaissance. Was that a joke, or did you really read books about really?
Tim McGraw
No, I love books. I mean, I'm a big reader.
Bobby Bones
That clip ever get to you where Ducks was talking about that?
Tim McGraw
No.
Bobby Bones
He didn't know if you were pranking him when you gave him that?
Tim McGraw
I wasn't pranking him. I wasn't pranking him. I just thought he needed to be educated.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. We were talking about piloting as well.
Tim McGraw
Well, he's way further advanced than I am.
Bobby Bones
But you were the guy he credits to getting him involved at all with flying.
Tim McGraw
Yeah, I mean, that's what he says, but. But he's. He's way more proficient at it than I am. I fly still, but not as much as I used to.
Bobby Bones
Do you fly one of those planes has a parachute on it?
Tim McGraw
Yes, I do. The Cirrus SR22. And now I'm flying the Cirrus Vision Jet. So I'm getting my time into that.
Bobby Bones
Does that have a parachute on it?
Tim McGraw
Yeah, it still has a parachute on it.
Bobby Bones
You ever had to use it?
Tim McGraw
No, no. If you use it, the plane's ruined.
Bobby Bones
Is there a button that you can get to easily? Because I feel like it accidentally hits.
Tim McGraw
The thing you Pull the thing and the parachute plops down and you land, but the plane's destroyed.
Amy
Brian Kelly.
Tim McGraw
Yes.
Amy
LSU coach.
Tim McGraw
Yes.
Amy
What do you think about him?
Tim McGraw
I think I like him.
Amy
Okay, so I'm doing this.
Tim McGraw
I mean, we're number three right now.
Amy
Oh. What about how he looks like? Would you date him?
Bobby Bones
Would you date him?
Amy
That's the question of, like, would I date Brian Kelly?
Bobby Bones
Right.
Amy
Because I didn't know.
Tim McGraw
I'm married to Faith Hill. I don't think I'm dating anybody at all.
Amy
Well, we're playing which coach would you date?
Bobby Bones
Not we. You are. I'm not playing either.
Amy
Right. Well, I used to play which quarterback would you date? But as I've aged, that's gotten creepy because college quarterbacks are young.
Tim McGraw
So now I'll be a cougar.
Amy
We've escalated.
Tim McGraw
We've not in the cougar territory yet.
Amy
Oh, well, we've evolved. To which coach would you date? And I just didn't know.
Tim McGraw
Andy Reid.
Bobby Bones
Yep. We talked about Andy Reid.
Amy
Are you going for just personality and skill?
Tim McGraw
Personality, skill, success.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Amen.
Lunchbox
Nailed it.
Bobby Bones
The Friday morning conversation with Tim McGraw. Tim McGraw is here. He's performing at our iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas. Jelly Roll, Bryan Adams, LL Cool J, John Fogarty. Which, by the way, I'm a massive CCR fan.
Tim McGraw
Oh, me too.
Bobby Bones
I spent an hour with him yesterday.
Tim McGraw
He's fantastic, isn't he?
Bobby Bones
I did an interview. It was awesome.
Tim McGraw
Unbelievable. And the coolest thing about him is, you know, I perform with him years ago for one of those tribute kind of things. And his voice and his guitar amp, the tones are exactly the same. Oh, man, it's unbelievable.
Bobby Bones
What'd you do? What song did you do with him?
Tim McGraw
Don't ask me that.
Bobby Bones
Okay, okay. Hey, someone.
Lunchbox
Look.
Tim McGraw
I can't remember. I can't remember that far back. I can't remember what I did yesterday.
Bobby Bones
He was talking to me about when he. You did Born on the bio. Because that's. Because you're from. There you go. There you go. It's just from my memory, not from somebody telling me.
Tim McGraw
Yeah, somebody telling you here?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. He was talking about when he wrote Proud Mary, and he wrote it in, like an hour. His. His papers came that he was discharged from the military, and he was, like, so moved. And he wrote the first line, left a good job in the city working for the man. He was like. The song just fell out of him.
Tim McGraw
Wow.
Bobby Bones
And he wrote it all down. It was like. That was the first time he ever felt like that's it now. He had some success, but he was like, that's it. You ever had one of those moments?
Tim McGraw
I'm waiting on it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Tim McGraw
I'm waiting on it. As a writer.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Tim McGraw
My Little Girl with Tom Douglas. When we were shooting a movie called Flicka and they wanted me to write the title song for the movie. So I flew Tom Douglas out, and we spent a whole night after shooting, until sunrise the next morning, sitting outside the bus on set writing that song. And when we finished it that morning, as the sun came up, we felt like we nailed it.
Bobby Bones
That's cool.
Tim McGraw
That was. That was one of the times we felt like, really, that one. And if you're reading this, that I wrote with the Warren boys, when we were sitting around the living room one day writing that song, we felt like we had something special.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that one is special.
Tim McGraw
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You ever write a song and then feel emotional about it when it's done because you can see it like macro instead of micro?
Tim McGraw
There's a song. I don't want to go into detail about it, but there's a song that's very personal that. That I'm working on now for. For my next record that. That's really personal, that it's about my mom. That's going to be tough to. Tough to get through. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
If you could collaborate with any artist that's not alive.
Tim McGraw
That's not alive.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Tim McGraw
Oh, my God.
Bobby Bones
So you can't offend anybody because they're all dead.
Tim McGraw
Well, you know, Elvis would be right at the top of the list for sure.
Bobby Bones
Are you an Elvis guy?
Tim McGraw
I'm a huge Elvis fan.
Bobby Bones
What do you love about him?
Tim McGraw
I love his voice. I think that Elvis gets so characterized in a lot of ways that people don't understand what a great singer he was. If you go back and listen to. If you put headphones on and crank it wide open, listen to Love Me Tender. That's one of the best vocals that I think that you'll ever hear in your life.
Bobby Bones
It's our 15th year of the festival. You've been a few times. 2013, 2019, 2023. What makes this festival different than the other shows?
Tim McGraw
I think the different artists, the different styles of music, and everybody appreciating what everybody else does. I remember one of my best memories. I forget what year it was, but Paul McCartney was there, and he came out and sat, like, right on the side of the stage, like in the stands, but on the side of the stage during my set and was singing along to all the words and to Me, that was like the most ultimate experience that I could ever have. So when you, when you see other artists who appreciate what you do, it's a pretty special thing.
Bobby Bones
Tim McGraw. Hey, thanks for stopping by, by the way, everybody out there. Check out Tim's performance at our 2025 iHeartradio Music Festival live on Hulu this weekend.

Bobby Bone Show Bonehead.
Lunchbox
This story comes to us from Canada. A 46 year old man was excited. His neighbor above him was out of town. She went on vacation. He's like, I always want to see inside of her apartment.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no. That means see her underwear.
Eddie
Yes.
Amy
Yeah, you should carry.
Bobby Bones
See her underwear, maybe her layout and wear them. Yeah.
Lunchbox
And you think, oh, he just busted down the door. Nah, he made a hole in his wall, shimmied up through the walls, busted through her drywall into her apartment so he could look around.
Amy
Oh, gosh.
Bobby Bones
With all the holes, I guess he didn't want to get caught kicking her door in.
Lunchbox
Right?
Bobby Bones
But you're going to get caught when she gets back because she's going to see the hole and then go, I wonder where this came from. Well, let me look where the. And it's going to lead back to his place. So what happens?
Lunchbox
He gets arrested for breaking and entering.
Bobby Bones
Did he wear her underwear or anything?
Lunchbox
I didn't say anything about that, but.
Bobby Bones
For sure he did. For sure he did.
Eddie
I don't know. Amy might be right. He just might be interested in the layout.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he wore him on his head.
Lunchbox
Okay, Day I'm lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day.
Bobby Bones
Hey, so if you're hearing this, it's only on the podcast, but we have to get on airplanes and we have to fly to Vegas. So we are not gonna have time to do a part two today. I greatly apologize. Very sorry. Very sorry. So there will not be a part two today. I don't want you guys to be waiting for part two to drop whenever, but we have to jump and get on airplanes and fly to Vegas for the festival. Bones, Randy Jackson, what do you think of Amy?
Amy
American Idol.
Bobby Bones
Super nice guy. Got to meet him a couple times. Got to work with him once. We judged the Miss America competition together. And so I talked to him on the latest episode of the Bobby Cast. It is up today. And so he is also like the band leader, the music player of celebrity named that tune, which I think I'd be so good at that show. Just in general, just name that tune. I used to watch it on my grandma when it was a different version of it. I was usually good at it. And so we were talking about it, which, by the way, that airs every Monday, 8, 7 Central on Fox and Hulu. But Randy Jackson was like, hey, you should come on. His voice has kind of gone a little bit here, but he's like, hey, you should come on the show. Listen to this. I need you to come on and.
Tim McGraw
Play against Ryan Seacrest.
Annabe Sofa Advertiser
Come along.
Bobby Bones
If you can get Ryan to do it, I will fly over and do it as well. That would be awesome. I feel like I'm pretty strong musically, but he also has been around and done music for so long. I'm in if he's in. You tell Ryan if he's in. I'm in.
Lunchbox
The duel to the finish.
Bobby Bones
Well, gamble people are paychecks. Mine versus his. Wow.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I got a lot more to win. That's why I would do that. I got a lot more to win if I win his. So Randy Jackson's on the Bobby cast. That would be fun, huh, if I went and did name that tune?
Amy
Yeah, that'd be fun.
Bobby Bones
I don't know that Ryan would want to play.
Lunchbox
That'd be awesome.
Amy
I mean, you dominate, But, I mean.
Bobby Bones
I'm sure I don't know that I would against Ryan. I think I would dominate against normal people. Well, that's what he means because the people that play against each other on Celebrity Name that tune had the same kind of job or they're from the same show.
Amy
Just in my eyes, you dominate.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, in my eyes, I would, too, but I don't know that that's true. But Randy Jackson was on. But what was crazy was he was really sick. I could tell he didn't want to say anything. He was drinking, like, hot lemon water right before, and I could tell when we were doing the interview, and I was like, oh, man, I'm gonna let you go. He fought through it, but check it out. There's a new Bobby cast up today with Emma, Dancing with the Stars and Randy Jackson. And then I do some FAQs, frequently asked questions. And don't forget, tonight, you can watch On Hulu, our iHeartRadio music festival from Las Vegas. It'll be on. Would love for you to watch it again. It's live. It's gonna be super cool. So check that out on Hulu streaming tonight. That's it. Bye, everybody. Come on.
