Have you ever looked at a piece of abstract art or music or poetry and thought that's just a bunch of pretentious nonsense? That's exactly what two bored Australian soldiers set out to prove during World War II when they tricked the literary world with their intentionally bad poetry, setting off a major scandal. We break down the truth, the lies, and the poetry in between on Hoax, a new podcast hosted by me, Lizzie.

Morgan, Part 1 Behind the Scenes with.
Morgan
A member of the welcome to the Best Bits. By now you figured out that we are on vacation, so this is a little vacay. Best Bits with Abbey. Thank you for joining me, Abby.
Abby
Woo. I feel like it's always vacation when we. When we talk.
Morgan
You are the vacation girl. Yeah, you and me like to talk around that time.
Abby
Oh, that's funny.
Morgan
We do have some stuff to catch up on, and not too long ago, there was some drama in the studio. How are you feeling after this drama?
Abby
I mean, I'm pretty good. I got to say what I was gonna say, so.
Morgan
So you're not feeling any, like, lingering effects of that, or you just kind of like, it is what it is and move on with my life?
Abby
It's been pretty normal, honestly. You know, in my whole life, I sometimes am like a doormat, you know, like, people walk on me and I don't say anything. I'm not saying just at work. I'm just saying in general, everywhere. You know, it's just very easy for me to just kind of tolerate things and not speak up. I'm trying to work on that to speak up. And I've had some people message me and they're like, oh, my gosh, you, like, inspired me to speak up and know what I stand for and stuff. And I'm like, okay, that's cool. If I could do that. Awesome.
Morgan
I think it's. As you go through life, too, you have more lessons and you learn that speaking up is important and a part of making yourself happy and making sure you're advocating for yourself. I think we've been told a lot of our lives to, you know, avoid confrontation. And it's. Don't do this and be this kind of person or be submissive or any number of things. You're just told to get along and deal with it. And I think standing up for yourself is a very radicalized, if you will, belief to, like, that's a horrible thing, to stand up for yourself. And I think it's a really awesome to be like, no, this is how I feel, and this is what I'm experiencing. And, you know, nothing has to happen from it. But I get to say my piece, right?
Abby
Yeah. I mean, Friday definitely was that. I was. I was in a type of mood. Let's just put it that way.
Morgan
Okay, well, I want to do a little mental health. Make sure you're doing okay?
Abby
I'm good.
Morgan
Yeah. And just moving on now.
Abby
Yeah, moving on.
Morgan
We said our piece and move on.
Abby
We did.
Morgan
I like that.
Abby
That's all you need. Yeah.
Morgan
Sometimes it's just good to get something out, and then you can really start to move on to the next thing. Because when stuff's all bottled in, it's like a volcano. Sometimes it's a slow eruption. Other times it's like a. Yeah, it goes everywhere. I think for you, that day was a pew. Yep, it was explosion, but it had been a slow eruption already. To then get to the.
Abby
Yes. Yeah, we're good.
Morgan
All right, well, we also need to hear some updates. How's life going with the boyfriend? Living in the house or living with kiddos? The whole shebang.
Abby
It's good. Yeah. Because we went to Wisconsin, so we drove. That was like, our first, like, road trip or, you know, with all you guys. Yeah. Like, traveling, because we haven't been on a plane, but, yeah, we traveled. That was really fun.
Morgan
Like, what was it? Being stepmom?
Abby
Step. Playing the role.
Morgan
Yeah. Okay. Sorry. Playing the role. Because I guess that officially doesn't happen until you're married.
Abby
Yeah. Because I think they kind of. They just look at me as, like, their dad's friend, and I'm just kind of like a friend to them, you know, that's how they kind of see it. And like. Like, his daughter is like, I forgot what we were saying. And she's like, but you don't have kids. And I'm like, yeah, you're right. I don't. And so, you know, it's just kind of that they're pretty young. I mean, you know, they're like five and almost four, so they're. They're young in price. It's a lot to take in and understand the dynamics and all that, but it was, like. It was super fun. They're so cute.
Morgan
Do you have a desire to have your own kids with him?
Abby
Yes.
Morgan
The right way to say that. I'm not sure.
Abby
Okay. Yeah. Yeah, I do. I've always wanted kids. Well, actually, I mean, I haven't really known if I have, but I was like, if I meet the right person and it feels right. So. Yeah.
Morgan
And probably seeing him be a really good dad is.
Abby
Yes. That helps a lot too. Yeah. Because you're always scared. You're like, I don't. You know, because you see people that have, like, big tempers or something around kids, and like, that's. I've seen that in, like, my family, and I'm like, Oh, I don't. I don't want that. And so I know he's patient and very good with him and very, you know, caring, and he puts them first.
Morgan
So does he have a desire to have more kids?
Abby
Yeah, he would. He said he would.
Morgan
Okay, so. So more kids are possible in the future.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
Little blended family action. You're gonna be like Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler movie.
Abby
Blended, right? Oh, my gosh. Yeah. It's crazy, but, I mean, it's weird because I guess that's what I'm used to. Like, my parents got a divorce when I was three, so that's all I know. And that's really weird to me that that's more normal than having parents that were together.
Morgan
Yeah, but that's your normal. That's what you know. So, yeah, to you it shouldn't be weird.
Abby
Right.
Morgan
Because that is your normal. Everybody has a different normal, and this is yours, so it makes sense. And that's why you guys are a good fit together, because that was your normal. That made sense.
Abby
Right.
Morgan
Because he probably thought getting divorced and having young kids, he was like, how am I ever gonna find somebody that's gonna be okay with all of this? I think that's a conversation that comes up a lot for people who get divorced and, like, how is this gonna work? What does dating look like? And that was probably something that went through his mind. So you being someone who's experienced it before and we're okay with it and know, made you guys the perfect matchup.
Abby
Right? I mean. Yeah, it's hard enough dating, no kids or any, you know.
Morgan
Yeah.
Abby
So, yeah. Can't imagine if you have kids or. I don't know.
Morgan
And the road trip overall was really good.
Abby
Yeah, it was awesome. It was really hard.
Morgan
I have a lot of lessons in learning. Oh, this is what it's like to have kids.
Abby
So. Yeah. Yeah, basically. Because when it's just him, he's the one, like, reaching back and, like, giving them stuff, and I'm like, can you not do that? It's scary. But he has it on his, like, front seat. But when I was with him, it was a lot easier. I could, like, hand him stuff because they always want snacks or they drop something, and then, like, they want to change shows on their iPad or something like that, so.
Morgan
So he had to do it on the way back by himself. Because you had to fly back.
Abby
Yeah, I flew back.
Morgan
But was that fun? You'd been to Wisconsin before.
Abby
Yeah, it is. So that drive is pretty. Oh, my gosh. Like, there was Just like open cornfields and we saw, like, a rainbow and it was, like, really nice. But, yeah, I had been there before. It's so pretty there.
Morgan
Did you get cheese curds? Is the big question.
Abby
I didn't. I.
Morgan
What is wrong with you?
Abby
I don't know.
Morgan
Is the cheese state. How could you possibly enter Wisconsin any borderline and be like, no, no cheese for me.
Abby
Where did you go? Went right.
Morgan
We just popped. We were literally just driving through Wisconsin and I saw cheese Chalet on the side of the road and I said, cheese, bring me there.
Abby
I didn't even see that in the.
Morgan
Entirety of Wisconsin that you guys drove.
Abby
No. No Cheese Little Chalet.
Morgan
You just weren't looking hard enough.
Abby
I guess not. Yeah.
Morgan
I think my raider goes off. I'm like a rat. See? Jesus. Like, sniff, snip. Jeez.
Abby
My gosh. You are.
Morgan
I really am.
Abby
I. Maybe it's just not. I'm not that big on, like, the cheese. Like, the. I don't. The curds.
Morgan
You know, Abby, I can get behind a lot of your food things. The fry butts and the salad obsessions. And this one, I can't. I can't support you on this.
Abby
That's funny, because I've had them here. I've had cheese curds here at different bars, but why haven't I wanted to try the authentic?
Morgan
That's where they come from.
Abby
Yeah. That's weird. I don't know.
Morgan
And the Wisconsin has cheese curds that come in just a bag that aren't fried. So they're different than cheese curds that are fried.
Abby
Are they squeaky?
Morgan
Yes.
Abby
Okay. I think I've tried those, like, a long time ago.
Manny
Yeah.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
That's what I call my little cheese plates. Because I still make cheese plates at home. And I call them to my boyfriend. I call them my rat plate. I went from girl dinner to rat plate because I feel like a rat all the time when I'm eating it. And it's fine.
Abby
I'll.
Morgan
I'll accept my role in society.
Abby
I think you love. Yeah. You know, love cheese more than anybody. I know. I think.
Morgan
And, you know, I probably should. Like, I feel like it's funny. Rats get bad rap.
Abby
But I love her. I do.
Morgan
Whereas, you know, I could be like, I'm a little mouse and I eat cheese. Now I'm a rat.
Abby
I think mouse is cute. You should do.
Morgan
I think all of them are you. But I'm just going to, you know, try and bring a new face to rats and have cheese plates and be a little Rat head for. For cheese.
Abby
That is funny. Well, no, I didn't try that, but.
Morgan
I'm so disappointed in you.
Abby
I know. No, but one of. So he stayed in his grandparents house. Like they both passed away. But his uncle bought it, so he was really excited to do that. But one of his other uncles, like, had a live band in their yard. It was like the coolest thing ever. Like, love it down there.
Morgan
What's this for? Just a family weekend?
Abby
Yes, it's like a tradition, I guess. This every weekend. He's starting to like hire a. Every single backyard. No, sorry. Every year like one weekend. It's like an annual thing.
Morgan
Who's the uncle?
Abby
I know. Yeah. Well, his daughter just got engaged, so I think it was part of like an engagement party too. But I was like, this is awesome.
Morgan
Oh, that's fun.
Abby
Like everybody just comes from the neighborhood for a live band.
Morgan
The one time I was in Wisconsin, we had went and did one of like the neighbors where we were at put a ice skating rink because it was in wintertime and they did an ice skating rink in their backyard. Like created. Created this entire rink. And so we ice skated in somebody's backyard.
Abby
That's so fun. Is that like a thing there? I guess up there it's just like a. Yeah.
Morgan
I think it gets really cold there and you have just very creative people. I loved Wisconsin. I thought it was beautiful.
Abby
People are so nice. Like, you think they're nice values? Yes. I mean, it's just like Kansas and. Yeah.
Morgan
Just Midwest and because they're cheese heads are nice. They are not part of that category, but that's fine.
Abby
Oh my gosh.
Morgan
I'm just a little bit bitter.
Abby
I can tell. I can tell.
Morgan
It's fine.
Abby
Next time when I go up there next year.
Morgan
Yeah, he's from there.
Abby
I've already been there twice.
Morgan
Your boyfriend is a literal cheese head.
Abby
He is.
Morgan
Okay.
Abby
He tries to order him here and I'm like, yeah, go ahead. I'll have like a bite. But it's.
Morgan
You are so lame for this.
Abby
I know.
Morgan
This is your only thing that I will call you out on.
Abby
You know what's really funny though? He wore a rock chalk shirt. Like a KU one. Somebody said rock chalk and he didn't like know what to say back. I'm like, if you're gonna wear the shirt, you have to know.
Morgan
You can't say. It's like you're wearing a rolling stone.
Abby
Right.
Morgan
You'd have to know Rolling stones or like identify with them instead of just wearing the apparel Exactly. Yeah.
Abby
I just thought it was funny. I'm like, you have to say, rock chalk back. He's like, what's that mean? I'm like, doesn't matter. Just say it.
Morgan
Just know the language.
Abby
Yes. It's like me being like, go, Pat, go. I know that at least.
Morgan
So if somebody says that to you, you say it back?
Abby
Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Like, they'll be like, go, Pat, go. Or if you see somebody with packers gear on, you're just like, go, Pat, go.
Morgan
You know what's funny is this is gonna be my first time dating somebody who watches a lot of football. He's a big Steelers fan.
Abby
Really?
Morgan
And I don't know that I'm ready for my life to change.
Abby
Yeah. What are you gonna do when he's watching games? Are you gonna watch with him?
Morgan
Well, I told him there's two good things about this. I always work quite a bit on Sundays, and. And so I was like, you know, I already am sitting on my couch just working, so you can watch whatever. It doesn't bother me. But I said, here's my one deal. If you're gonna take up the whole day Sunday watching football, you have to make me one appetizer. And that's our deal. He's like, I will totally make an appetizer for you.
Abby
Wait, that's actually, like, a really good deal.
Morgan
Yeah. I'm like, you give me an appetizer, I'll be happy. I'll be working. I can, like, go about my day and watch sometimes with you. Cause I'll have my little appy, and then you can watch your game.
Abby
That's funny. Yeah. Yeah.
Morgan
So I have to get creative because they can't be all the same every single time. It'll be different appetizers each week.
Abby
All cheese. You're like, it has to include cheese.
Morgan
Hopefully lots of cheese are part of that. But it will be.
Abby
I'm.
Morgan
Gosh, maybe a sports girlfriend.
Abby
You never have before.
Morgan
I guess I've dated some that have, but not one who's genuinely passionate about one team. And he's very much, like, gonna. He does. He's not one of those who, like, has to watch the entire day he's gonna spend. If we had plans or something, he'd go do something else. But he wants to watch his team, which is the Steelers. So I have to now allot time on Sundays for whenever the Steelers game is.
Abby
Oh, yeah. See, they're. What was the first game? Noon, I think. Yeah.
Morgan
I think the first one starts at, like, noon. It's gonna be back to my Buffalo Wild Wings days. And I think this is why I always had kind of a separation of my life in sports, because for four and a half years of my life when I worked at Buffalo Wild Wings and then even the other half of that year, so basically five years in total, I worked at another sports bar, brewing company, and there were sports all the time. So I can see that. So much time watching sports that after I quit that job, I was like, I'm good.
Abby
You want to, like, get away from it. You're like, okay, that was my whole day. Like, work all the time.
Morgan
College, NFL, NHL. What are all the other ones? NBA, all of it.
Abby
Baseball.
Morgan
Because the season's never it. Baseball, all of it. So I think that was why I had such a. But, you know, I'm like 15 years removed from that, so hopefully I can.
Abby
Time to get back on that. Let's go.
Morgan
Yeah, I'm a little nervous, though. I'm not gonna lie.
Abby
It's so fun. I love Sundays.
Morgan
Well, then you had to go before, right? You were the Broncos. You like the Broncos.
Abby
Oh, which I still am. I did not convert to him. Oh, no, no, no. Yeah.
Morgan
But you'll watch Broncos play.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
Also.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
You guys watch both. So you guys have two games to watch every correct Thursday, Sunday or Monday.
Abby
Huh. And then I also like watching the Chiefs just because it's kind of nostalgic. Like, reminds me of home because a lot of my friends are Chiefs fans. So.
Morgan
Yeah, I do not have to watch Chiefs games because all of my friends will promptly post whatever happened.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
During the game, I will either get highlights, the winning score, the losing score, Taylor Swift moments, Travis Kelsey things, Patrick Mahomes. I pretty much every. Every know after every Chiefs game what has happened, and I will have not watched a single part of it.
Abby
Oh, yeah. Seriously.
Morgan
Because of my. All my following is mostly Kansas City Chiefs fans.
Abby
Well, I feel like every time I turned it on, like, the past two years, it's been like, Taylor in the stands. So it's not much football, you know, go sports. Yeah, I love it. It's funny.
Morgan
Okay, well, that's what I'm dealing with right now.
Abby
Yeah. So everything's good for you?
Morgan
Oh, yeah, everything's great.
Abby
I love it.
Morgan
Yeah, he's a great guy. I. I literally have nothing bad. He's wonderful in every sense of the way.
Abby
I've only met him one time, and it was at the concert, and it was like a. Briefly, like, nice to meet you. And then we don't really get to talk.
Morgan
I know. We need to actually have a full hangout.
Abby
Yeah, we do.
Morgan
Where the boys can hang out. And he loves to play games, too, so we can go to a bar that has games.
Abby
We should do that.
Morgan
Get some. He loves playing, like, how we just play. Thank you.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
I keep wanting to call bags because people call it bags.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
And then it gets stuck in my head, and I can't think of Cornhole, which is the real name for it. Anyways, he loves playing cornhole or just bar games, so that'd be fun. He's about to build a. We went to a place in Nashville called Ernie's Boondock, which is one of my favorite bars in town, because they have this game called Toad in the Hole. Have you been to Ernie's?
Abby
No.
Morgan
It's my favorite bar. It's an east.
Abby
Yeah. See, I never go over there. I feel like.
Morgan
Well, they have this game called Toad in the Hole. That's like a coin version of coin. That's weird. Coin version of Cornhole.
Abby
That's. Say that five times. Yeah.
Morgan
So you have, like, this giant coin, and you're trying to land it on this board and get it in a hole that, like, pops out. And you ideally get all four coins in there, and that's how you win. Or you get them on the board. You get points. So it's a, like, tiny version of it. And now we're trying to build a toad in the hole for the house so we can, like, have one at the house.
Abby
Oh, that'd be fun. That sounds really cool. I want to try that.
Morgan
He's like, I feel like you need to have this in your backyard so when I come over, I can just play all the time. And I was like, you build it, I'll keep it there, but I'm not going to go buy one.
Abby
Yeah, I can't picture that. I need to, like, look it up.
Morgan
I know. You know, you need to go play those. Fun. Yeah, it's a fun game. If you like any version of yard games, it's in that same realm and just a good time. But, yeah, that's what. That's what's going on in my life.
Abby
I love it. Look at that.
Morgan
I know.
Abby
Happy vibes.
Morgan
All the happy vibes.
Abby
Yeah. Yeah.
Morgan
I mean, heck, we've had, like, disagreements, but we haven't had any massive fights. We've had, like, moments where we were like, oh, we're different in this aspect. I mean, great communication. Don't know what that's normally been like. So I'm learning How to be in a safe relationship where you actually talk to one another, Communicate.
Abby
We're like, hey, where'd you. Are you not going to talk to me? Yeah. I'll be like, you're trying to guess what's wrong.
Morgan
This is how I feel. And this is what's happening. He's like, cool, I see you. That's awesome. And this is how I feel.
Abby
Great. Cool.
Morgan
He's like, did we just have our first fight?
Abby
I was like, is that a fight? Is that what this is?
Morgan
He's like, I don't know. So it's been going really well.
Abby
Yeah. That's good. No yelling matches. That's a good sign.
Morgan
That's a big sign. Especially for me in my past experience.
Abby
Oh, gosh. Yeah.
Morgan
Okay, we're gonna take a quick break. We'll be right back.
Dana Schwartz
In 1920, a magazine article announced something incredible. Two young girls had photographed real fairies. But even more extraordinary than the magazine article's claim was the identity of the man who wrote the article. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The man who wrote Sherlock Holmes. Yes. The man who invented literature's most brilliant detective, who was fooled by two girls into thinking fairies were real. How did they do it? And why does it seem like so many smart people keep falling for outlandish tricks? These are the questions we explore in Hoax, a new podcast from me, Dana Schwartz, the host of Noble Blood, and me, Lizzy Logan.
Lizzie Logan
Every episode, we'll explore one of the most audacious and ambitious tricks in history, from the fake Shakespeares to balloon boys, and try to answer the question of why we believe what we believe.

Imagine that you're on an airplane and all of a sudden you hear this.
Abby
Attention, passengers. The pilot is having an emergency and we need someone, anyone, to land this plane.
Manny
Think you could do it? It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control. And they're saying, like, okay, pull this. Until this. Pull that. Turn this. It's just, I can do my eyes closed. I'm Manny.

I'm Noah.

Dr. Joy Hardin Bradford
Hey, sis, what if I could promise you you never had to listen to a condescending finance bro tell you how to manage your money again? Welcome to Brown Ambition. This is the hard part. When you pay down Those credit cards. If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards, you may just recreate the same problem. A year from now when you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates, I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan, starting with your local credit union. Shopping around online looking for some online lenders because they tend to fewer fees and be more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive in these streets. I 100 can see how in just a few months you can have this much credit card debt. And it weighs on you. It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand. It's nice and dark in the sand. Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it. And in fact, it may get even worse. For more judgment free money advice, listen to Brown ambition on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Morgan
Before we get into some fun questions, I wanted to ask you. Do you feel like a proposal is coming? Is there a conversation about this?
Abby
Not like in the next few months. Maybe this year. Maybe.
Morgan
Maybe we're already in August.
Abby
Oh, shoot. Well, then it won't. But I don't think it'll be this year then. No.
Morgan
You said next year was. I mean, we're like towards the end of the year.
Abby
That's true. I. I don't know. I can't. It. Okay. The thought just me being single a lot most of my life, like not having someone that I'm like, oh, I can actually see myself with them, like for real. I've never really had to think about it. And so now that I am actually thinking about it, like sometimes he brings it up and I like freak out. And I know this is just like me putting this wall down, you know, And I'm like, oh, oh my gosh, let's change the subject. He's like, okay, that's not like, good that you're acting like reacting that way. And I'm like, but no, it's just like it's me. Like, it's like a personal thing.
Morgan
And what makes you react that way? Is it the idea that this is a lifelong commitment? Is it the idea that you don't know if it's correct? You don't. You're kind of second guessing your.
Abby
I think a lot of it is just like the commitment thing. I just always like, it's hard for me to commit to anything that just is And I don't know, it's. I think it's just a reaction that I'm having because I'm so independent. I think that scares me a little too, that I just was always like, oh, I guess I'm just going to live just me, like, do this. And now I'm like, oh, wait, it's not like that anymore. It's so much more than that. And then like kids and maybe having kids in the future, it's just, it's like a lot for my brain.
Morgan
Yeah.
Abby
And so, I mean it's. Yeah, it's not him. It's. I know, it's like a me thing.
Morgan
So you think had you been like, yes, it may have already happened by now.
Abby
No, I think he's like trying to be cautious too, you know, like, take it pretty slow because I mean, he's already been married before and so he wants to also not like rush into it or, you know, And I think it's like, why rush? That's kind of where I am.
Morgan
Take your time. Well, you guys have been dating for how long now?
Abby
So. Well, it was like official in December that that'd be two years and we met like in October.
Morgan
So you're coming up on your two years. Really?
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
And that's a good time frame and you're now living together.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
So it's definitely the next.
Abby
It definitely. Yeah.
Morgan
Step. If that's what both of you guys want, you can also not want that and that's okay.
Abby
No, we definitely do it should. I don't. I can't explain it why it's interesting.
Morgan
That commitment is what is holding you back because you're a committed person in other aspects of your life. With your work, you've committed to your family. Like you show commitment in other ways. You have friends you've had for years. So it's interesting that that's the hold up for you.
Abby
No, it is really weird. Yeah. I should talk to a therapist.
Morgan
Weird. I think more because you've had experience with guys and that's created hesitancy and insecurity in a lot of things. But I don't think it's weird to be hesitant of a lifelong commitment. That's your goal is to get married for life. So if you're looking at something for the rest of your life, that's daunting, it's a big grandiose. But I think if you take some of that pressure away from yourself where you're like, I love this person, I want to be with them. I would love to get married and just leave it at that instead of the big, grandiose side of it. I think the grandiose picture is what makes it so terrifying, because I felt that. I feel that.
Abby
Really? Yeah.
Morgan
It makes sense completely. I think a lot of people feel that, because when you think of something lifelong, just like when people are like, when I think about having kids, I'm like, oh, that's forever, you know, But I can have a dog and cab. Like, that's forever. I'm fine. But why is it that when I look at kids, I feel different? You know, it's so. You have different insecurities. Things have been planted in your head along the way to believe a certain way or which about something. So I don't think it's weird or wrong, but it is interesting that you can commit in other ways, but this is the one thing that's holding you back.
Abby
Right. It also could be, like, since my parents, I know they got a divorce, like, I don't want that. I don't want that to happen. I don't want to get divorce. You know, Even though I had the best childhood despite my parents not being together, but I'm just like, I don't want something like that to happen. So I'm like, if we're just not married, that can't happen. So it's just. Yeah, it's a lot that I'm still trying to process in my head, too, as to why I have this reaction.
Morgan
Well, it sounds like that's good for you guys, though, because it doesn't sound like he's like, we have to do this right now, or I really want this to happen. He's on his own. Slow timeline. You're on a slow timeline, so it'll work out how it's supposed to.
Abby
Yeah, but he's very good at planning. Better than me. That's how I'm like, oh, my gosh. Why are we asking? Let's just move on. Let's just live life.
Morgan
When the toxic rings. Do you even know what kind of ring?
Abby
Oh, my gosh. We went once, like, a. Like a while ago. Just because I was like, I have no idea. I've never even looked. I don't even know, like, what a halo cut, any of that means.
Morgan
Pinterest. You haven't looked on Pinterest or, like, looked at other people's rings to have an idea?
Abby
No, I've never been that type. I seriously was like, I'm gonna jinx it if I look at anything. Like, I know people that have everything planned out of their wedding colors and all that. I'm like, I've never done that. It's really weird. I've just always in my mind thought, like, be like, you have to be okay like yourself, like, not meeting somebody. Like, my expectations were so low.
Manny
Yeah.
Abby
Which I. It's just because I was dating in Nashville and it was so bad for like, so long. Well, you're.
Morgan
You're kind of building back up this brick foundation of, oh, I'm now in a loving relationship. This is a possibility. This is a conversation. You kind of took a lot of it out of the picture because you thought it wouldn't happen.
Abby
Right. And yeah. I was just thinking, like, with so many bad dates, I was like, oh my gosh, like, what if this isn't for me? Like, what if I'm not going to find somebody? And so I think that's been my mindset for so long. And so now I'm like, oh, wow, it. I do have this. This could happen to me.
Morgan
Yeah. And I'm working to rewire your. Your brain to believe things that you once stopped believing, which is really sad.
Abby
It is sad. But just like, you know, the dating in Nashville, it is crazy. It's not good.
Morgan
No. And it makes sense. Like you're. You're also just a slow burn kind of person in general. You. You're not. Besides the. The guys give you a hard time when you were like, dating and you'd give everything all, but really you're a slow burn.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
Kind of person. Things are. You're more sloth, like, than leopard.
Abby
Even though I was like, I. What they were saying, like, that was true.
Morgan
Yeah. You would give a lot on dates, but you weren't giving. Like, oh, I'm going to marry you right now. You were giving. Here's all my. It was like word vomit.
Abby
Right.
Morgan
My whole life story. This is who I am. There's no mystery to like, who are you?
Abby
Yeah. I wasn't playing games.
Morgan
But you as a person and like, your life is a slow burn.
Abby
Uh huh. No, that's true.
Morgan
You do everything very analytically. You've thought about it. It's very logical. You're not like a impulse. You're not a super fly off the seat of your pants. And maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like that's more of the road you would take.
Abby
No, I'd say that's right. Yeah.
Morgan
And that's probably why.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
This is more of your personality and you're getting to lean more into your personality because you found someone.
Abby
Yes.
Morgan
So that's all that's happening.
Abby
Yeah, it's very odd. This is a feeling. So an odd feeling.
Morgan
Well, it's just like with the house. That was a slow burn. You're still slow burning it, but you're starting to get to your decision making process.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
Slow burn.
Abby
It's a slow burn. Oh, my God.
Morgan
Just need to listen to Casey Musker Slow Burn on repeat and be like, this is who I am.
Abby
Yeah, I know.
Morgan
I feel you, Casey.
Abby
But really I do. It's a vibe.
Morgan
It is a vibe. Speaking of some other fun stuff. Because that's fun and, you know, one day you'll come on here and you will be, wow, that'll be weird.
Abby
That'd be crazy.
Morgan
It won't be. It'll be awesome. And you'll be excited. Yeah, for now. Right now, in this moment, you're like, that's insane.
Abby
I know.
Morgan
But you'll be excited. Okay, so Bobby has had. Did this like, list of shows he wishes he could have been at. And so it had me thinking of what artists I hope to see at a specific venue one day. Have you ever thought about this?
Abby
Yeah. Well, because I keep seeing videos right now of a current one.
Morgan
Okay.
Abby
Backstreet Boys at Sphere, Vegas. Oh, my gosh. Are you kidding me?
Morgan
Yeah, I think Kenny Chesney looked really cool at Sphere too.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
I think Sphere in general is a cool spot that.
Abby
Yeah, that's true. I do. I want to go to Sphere so bad. But currently Backstreet Boys are there and like, people's videos. I'm like, oh, my gosh. It's just.
Morgan
Did you love Backstreet Boys growing up?
Abby
Yeah, I love them.
Morgan
Were you a Backstreet Boys over NSync? I feel like you were one or the other.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
I'd say Backstreet Boys and I was in sync.
Abby
Really? Yeah, that. I feel like I listen to them even sometimes now. Like, it's random. I'm like, alexa, play Backstreet Boys.
Morgan
I want it that way because I.
Abby
Have so many ones you kind of forgot about. Like NSync. I feel like, I don't know. Let me see.
Morgan
I'm going to have to go through their. Their repertoire. Well, really mine was because of jt. I had a crush on JT with the rest of the world.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
So that was where my NSYNC love came from. But Let me see NSync's catalog really quick. They're like top songs. You got. Bye, bye, bye. It's gonna be me or it's gonna be May. My tearing up my heart.
Abby
That's good.
Morgan
This I promise you.
Abby
Oh, okay.
Morgan
See, I want you back. I think that's Jackson 5 that I just sang in that rhythm.
Abby
But you back. No, you did it like I did it, right? Close. Yeah. It's.
Morgan
Then besides that, I don't know. They got better plays from trolls. They've got pop. I don't remember that song. Thinking of you I drive myself crazy, girlfriend. And gone are, like, their top 10. But then let's go to Backstreet Boys. So I'd say, I know, like, six of those off just the top of my head. Off the titles.
Abby
I didn't. Yeah, I didn't know.
Morgan
A couple of those for Backstreet Boys.
Abby
We got.
Morgan
I want it that way.
Abby
I want it that way.
Morgan
Yes. You got as long as you love me. Everybody back.
Abby
Streets back. All right.
Morgan
Shape of my heart. I don't know that one.
Abby
Shape of my Heart.
Morgan
That was not ringing any bells.
Abby
Really.
Morgan
Quit playing games with my heart Quit.
Abby
Playing games with my heart that one I know.
Morgan
Show me the meaning of being lonely.
Abby
Show me the meaning of being lonely.
Morgan
I'm not gonna lie. Every single one of those sounds the same.
Abby
What? I think that's why I like them. I'm more of, like, the sad.
Morgan
Give me every similar version of one song.
Abby
Yeah. Like, pull on my heartstrings. And I feel like NSYNC is a little. Just more like, yeah, that's my vibe dance.
Morgan
This is where our vibes come in.
Abby
It is. Yeah. Mine's like, I want to cry.
Morgan
And I'm like, I want to vibe. Abby's over there crying in a corner, and I'm like, boom, boom. What's the. Like what the fizz is like? What's the brave.
Abby
What's the fist bumps out?
Morgan
Why can't I think of it? There it is.
Abby
I gotta find that. I think that's what it is.
Morgan
Larger than life.
Abby
That makes you larger than life.
Morgan
That one I know also sounds like drowning.
Abby
That one's so sad. Yeah. See, all these are just.
Morgan
And then incomplete.
Abby
Feels incomplete.
Morgan
They're literally all the same.
Abby
They're not. No, they're not.
Morgan
I. I think I only knew three of those. Backstreet Boys has 27.2 monthly listeners. I don't. And I think it's because they made a comeback. Yeah. NC has 13.1. I think if NSync also would have made their full comeback, I think they both would have been skyrising it to fame again.
Abby
Huh? For sure.
Morgan
Massive for their time.
Abby
I was like, I Want to see Britney Spears again, Like, really bad. But she's.
Morgan
I don't see her touring again.
Abby
No.
Morgan
You know who I want to see at the Sphere, which would be iconic if it could ever happen?
Abby
Who?
Morgan
Celine Dion.
Abby
Oh, yeah. I was thinking her too. That would be the most insane.
Morgan
I just want to see Celine Dion before. Like, hopefully if she ever performs again. I'm going to try my hardest to go. But it'd be really cool if she does that Sphere.
Abby
I don't know. I don't know if she can physically.
Morgan
There was talks of her potentially trying to do more shows again.
Abby
Oh, my God.
Morgan
And I don't know if that was just people making rumors. I don't know if that was true.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
But if she does and, like, because she feels good to do so, I would be there in a heartbeat.
Abby
Oh, for sure. Yep.
Morgan
I would drop some money, I think, to see that. Because it'd be like the last time you'd probably ever see her. Yeah, that one. Or. I want to see Keith Urban at Red Rocks.
Abby
Oh, yeah, Red Rocks.
Morgan
Because I've never been to Red Rocks. I'd love to go to a concert I could have gone to, like, just see it. But I only want to go if I'm going to a concert. And I really want to see Keith Urban because he's just good all the time.
Abby
He is always ridiculous. How does he have that much energy Every time he is insane.
Morgan
And every concert I go, I like. I was listening to his music the other day, just his catalog, and I just forgot. He just has so many good freaking hits from. For 30 years, this man has put out hit after hit.
Abby
I know.
Morgan
How? I have no idea.
Abby
I do not know.
Morgan
And he goes to a show and he sounds just as good as when he was back in the 90s. Insane. Or early 2000s, I guess.
Abby
Yeah, early.
Morgan
I feel like he had some coming out in like 1997, maybe so later 90s, but.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
Anyways, that was a hot topic. Okay, I got some more fun things for us to talk about. We're gonna take a quick break, though. Be right back.
Dana Schwartz
In 1920, a magazine article announced something incredible. Two young girls had photographed real fairies. But even more extraordinary than the magazine articles claim was the identity of the man who wrote the article. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The man who wrote Sherlock Holmes. Yes. The man who invented literature's most brilliant detective was fooled by two girls into thinking fairies were real.

Morgan
I was just like, ah, gotcha.

Imagine that you're on an airplane and all of a sudden you hear this.
Abby
Attention passengers. The pilot is having an emergency and we need someone, anyone, to land this plane.
Manny
Think you could do it? It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control. And they're saying like, okay, pull this. Until this, pull that, turn this.

When you pay down those cards, if you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards, you may just recreate the same problem. A year from now when you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates, I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan, starting with your local credit union. Shopping around online looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive in these streets. Morgan
I was cleaning out one of my closets the other day and I found this whole booklet full of DVDs. Oh my gosh, this is probably from 10, 12 years ago. I thought I was in high school. Maybe high school, freshman or sophomore. And I love to collect DVDs. I would collect like some of my favorite movies from the early 2000s, the popular ones. Now I have this entire booklet of these DVDs. And I was thinking also about vinyls because I've been collecting vinyls. That's been my thing. I got a whole vinyl record player. It's my favorite thing to play these. But like, what is the item that you refuse to give away because you think one day it'll be cool again? Because I feel like this is gonna happen with DVDs much like it did happen with vinyl. I feel like when you have a collection of something that was super popular at one time, in 20 years, it's gonna be popular again.
Abby
Well, I still think Beanie Babies.
Morgan
Beanie Babies will make their comeback.
Abby
Well, I was hoping they'd sell for a lot, but I don't think they're going to.
Morgan
Yeah, no, I think that was a definite hype up that just failed.
Abby
I know we all got excited.
Morgan
People had them.
Abby
Mm.
Morgan
The things that always sell so much are stuff that's rare. So many people had Beanie Babies.
Abby
I know that's true.
Morgan
That if you didn't sell it right when they spiked of like the boom of buying them, you weren't gonna make any money because people already bought them.
Abby
Mm. I mean, I still have all my CDs. You know how like in high school you did like a burn. You burned your own CDs and stuff? Like, I still have those. I have like Backstreet Boys, NSync, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey. I always listen to her.
Morgan
Did you burn on those or were they mixed with all of them on?
Abby
Those were actually like the CDs. But then I had a few that I would like when I thought it was cool. I'm like, oh, I'm gonna make my own cd. But no, like most of them, they were the actual CDs. And I like still have them. I feel like those can't they. That can come back.
Morgan
Yeah. I mean, if vinyl records can come back, which came back, which came before CDs my time, I might be a little fuzzy there, but came before CDs and yeah, I would say so. We just haven't hit that spike yet. Like Walkman's will probably make a comeback. That's true with them.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
Walkman's play CDs.
Abby
Uh huh. Or did they. I know.
Morgan
Well, there was one. There's a version of walkman that played CDs. I don't know if it was the Walkman. I think played the.
Abby
The tape.
Morgan
Cassette player.
Abby
Yeah. But those like, that. Is it bad with the tape in there? I feel like those can't last forever. Like, cassette tapes, because it has, like, the tape.
Morgan
If they start remaking them again, just like artists are making vinyls again.
Abby
That's true. I'm trying to think what else there is. What else?
Morgan
I don't know. My mom, it's so funny. We gave her a really hard time for so many years because she never got rid of a lot of her older clothes.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
And now we go into her closet and we steal them because they're popular now.
Abby
Oh, my gosh. Yeah. See, my mom always says that, too, but she did give them away, and she's like, oh, my. Why did I do that? Like, everything that's in style now, like, I had. And it would be so cute.
Morgan
Yep.
Abby
Like, why would you do that?
Morgan
I'll literally just be like, hey, mom, do you. Did you ever have this trend or do anything that she's like, oh, yeah, let me go find it. And just pulled it out of, like, the depth of her closet.
Abby
That is. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. I keep a lot of my clothes, too. Like, in my closet in my mom's house. I still have them. I still have, like, my homecoming and prom dresses.
Morgan
I do still have those, too. I have tried to convince my mom to get rid of them. And then I did a video with him, gosh, three or four years ago, where I tried them all on again and did, like, a video, and it went viral.
Abby
I remember. Yeah. Yeah.
Morgan
And she was like, see, you wouldn't have had your viral video if I didn't keep all my dresses that you had. And I was like, I know. But I was like, okay, one off.
Abby
No.
Morgan
Now what are we gonna do with them?
Abby
I know. I can't get rid of them. I don't know why. I know. And like, my basketball shoes all, like, every season I had to get different basketball shoes or every year, and I still have them.
Morgan
You still have all of your bath.
Abby
Yes.
Morgan
Those have to smell like they're clean. They have to smell.
Abby
My feet do not stink. They smell so good.
Morgan
Okay. Every single person has foot odor.
Abby
That is a lie.
Morgan
That is a human thing.
Abby
Oh, my gosh. That's funny. Yeah. They're still in the closet. It's like a high school time capsule. My closet. I don't know what I'm going to do with them. What am I. What am I supposed to do with these? Maybe.
Morgan
I don't know, man. I try. Every time I try and go home, I try and get rid of just a little bit more that my parents have. I'm like, if you want to send it home with me, I'll donate it or sell it or find ways to do stuff. The only thing that I was mad, they did a garage sale one year, and I used to be obsessed with Polly Pockets, and I had created quite the collection of Polly pockets. Okay? This thing was in this cute little leopard case, and I had it perfectly organized, because I was even organized as a kid. And somehow the one thing that goes missing during the stupid garage sale that I marked as please do not sell. I said, sell everything else, but please do not sell my Polly pockets, because I think they'll be cool to pass down to my niece. Or if I ever have kids one day, Polly Pockets will be still huge. And you know what got sold?
Abby
No. For what? 10 bucks, probably because. For the case.
Morgan
Because the case was really cool, and it wasn't a polypocket case. I just, like, created this case for my Polly Pocket.
Abby
Yeah. Oh, my.
Morgan
Somebody got the jackpot. And they probably just wanted the case, and then they probably threw out my pocket.
Abby
Probably. Oh, that's sad.
Morgan
And then my niece got into Polly Pocket. I was like, you know what would have been nice? My whole collection.
Abby
Oh, my gosh. Did you ever have, like, Barbies?
Morgan
Oh, yeah.
Abby
Do you still have those?
Morgan
Yeah, still have Barbies.
Abby
Because there was, like, a poster, I remember, with, like, the most iconic Barbies from every year or something, and I tried to collect all of them. I don't remember. Do you remember that? It was, like, every year had its own Barbie, I'm sure.
Morgan
Yeah, I know what you're talking about, But I don't know that we did it or not. Yeah, we definitely have weird Barbies.
Abby
You do?
Morgan
Yeah. We definitely destroyed some weird Barbies. And then, like, watching the Barbie movie and seeing the weird Barbie cracked me up even more because we created many of those characters.
Abby
Oh, my gosh. I couldn't make it through that movie.
Morgan
Really?
Abby
Yeah, I just didn't like it. I don't know why I was watching it on the plane. I don't know What?
Morgan
Did you not make it to the monologue? The monologue was one of my favorite parts.
Abby
No, because I saw that, like, at the awards. That. That was, like, one of the best. But I. I didn't make it. I should try.
Morgan
Mine is more nostalgic with that movie. I just loved the Barbie was such a big part of my childhood that it felt like I was kind of transported back to being a kid watching that movie. And just, like, seeing it from a different perspective as an adult now was interesting.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
And I love Margot Robbie. Just want her and Ryan Gosling both.
Abby
I know. They're the best.
Morgan
Yeah, that was something I think about. Okay, another thing. We were talking about your weird food things. I'm gonna admit a weird food thing of mine.
Abby
Oh, good. I'm not the only one.
Morgan
No, but you're so weird for not liking cheese.
Abby
I like cheese.
Morgan
Not enough to get it from the state that it's created. I put honey on my scrambled eggs.
Abby
What in the. That is weird.
Morgan
Have you ever tried it?
Abby
No. Why? Why did you do that, though?
Morgan
I didn't knock your fry butt. I supported you in that weird endeavor.
Abby
I can't help that. It's a habit. Okay.
Morgan
I can't help putting honey on my scrambled legs.
Abby
But. What? So, I mean, I guess I could see it from, like, the salt and sweet.
Morgan
Yeah, it's a salt and sweet texture, but something about. Have you ever had syrup with eggs?
Abby
Have.
Morgan
It has. Have you ever had pancakes?
Abby
I don't want them touching. No, I do not want the syrup.
Morgan
You're not a texture mixture.
Abby
Correct. Yeah. No, they will not. Yeah.
Morgan
If you don't like texture, and I'm with you on that, there's some textures I don't like a food. So if you're really on that, you probably won't like it. But it tastes so freaking bomb. Like, if I get an egg sandwich, I'll put jelly on it of some kind. Like a jam or jelly. And it's that same type of mixture. Like, you get, like, just this little sweet or a little, like, tardy. Whichever your vibe is, depending on the jam or whatever. And it just gives you this cute little to it.
Abby
Wow, really?
Morgan
Or if you really like. Like a little bit spicier, too. You could do hot honey.
Abby
Okay. Oh, that could be good. See?
Morgan
Okay, now you're on. Because it's hot honey instead of regular honey. It's the literal same thing.
Abby
No, it's not.
Morgan
I've definitely had hot honey and honey, and they basically taste the same to me.
Abby
Oh, do they?
Morgan
And maybe I just don't have spicy things because I don't like spicy things. So maybe I'm not having enough spicy hot honey.
Abby
Yeah, I don't have any weird concoctions like that because I'm normal. I'm just kidding. Oh, my gosh. One of my roommates, one time, she. I always thought it was so weird. She was really interesting. She dipped carrots and mustard. I could see that you can.
Morgan
I could see that carrots go with a lot of things. I don't know that I wouldn't eat it, but I feel like I would try it at least.
Abby
Or was it in ketchup? It was. No, I don't remember. It was really gross though. I thought it looked gross.
Morgan
Things always look gross, but things that look gross always taste the best. Honestly.
Abby
Really? Oh yeah.
Morgan
Like I used to eat Nutello Cheez its when I was in high school. I love a sweet salty mixture.
Abby
What?
Morgan
Big fan.
Abby
It's like cheese and chocolate. Yeah. Because I get like chocolate covered pretzels. Like I can see that.
Morgan
But cheese and chocolate, it's just because somebody didn't put it in a bag and say, hey, try this, that you think it's not normal. I bet if they made cheeses coated in Nutella you'd be like, that's pretty good.
Abby
Oh my God.
Morgan
It's just the same concept as a. The chocolate covered pretzels. It's sweet and salty.
Abby
Really trying to process, like trying to taste this. I can't even imagine it.
Morgan
Well, that's my new homework for you. I want you to try these because I eat fry butts all the time.
Abby
So.
Morgan
Yeah, I just actually eat the whole fry.
Abby
No, you have to do the opposite. You have to leave the fry butts. Try that.
Morgan
You might like me sad seeing him like, I'm sorry I couldn't eat you guys because one of my friends is weird and doesn't like you, so I can't like you.
Abby
That is so strange. I don't. Yeah, I don't know. I think other people do it though.
Morgan
A few. But I definitely got some people when I come, I posted it, they're like, what is wrong with you? This is my hot take. If you haven't tried it, you should also. I like putting cottage cheese in it. I like putting nutritional yeast. Eddie and I were talking about this, but this is like my go to lately.
Abby
You put nutritional yeast in what?
Morgan
On scrambled eggs?
Abby
I want eggs. Everything on eggs. Yeah, well, eggs don't have much of a flavor, so I guess they're kind of universal. You can put chocolate on them too.
Morgan
I would probably try that sometime. I don't know how to do that every morning, but I'd probably try it.
Abby
I don't know.
Morgan
I just. I'll put like ketchup on eggs too.
Abby
Yeah, I've seen that.
Morgan
I just like adding, I like variety to my meals. I'm not very good at eating one thing every day, so I think adding honey or If I choose ketchup or jam or hot honey, I think it gives me variety and makes me not get bored. I think is where that comes from.
Abby
Yeah, I can see that. Because I like turkey sandwiches that have like jam on them because it's like a little sweet, something like that.
Morgan
So then you would like it. Yeah, you would like also an egg sandwich with jam. It'd be that same concept because there's like bacon on them too. Yeah, you would like it.
Abby
But like, if bacon touches syrup. No, I can't do that.
Morgan
You know how like meant to go together in a sandwich, you'd be okay. And just like, if eggs, you put hot honey on it. It's meant to be in there together versus if they're all on a plate and they're supposed to be separated. Yeah, you're not gonna like it, right? I think you should try it.
Abby
Okay. No, I'll try it. I'll give it a go.
Morgan
It's my hot take right now.
Abby
Food.
Morgan
It's a very hot take.
Abby
Yeah, I can see that.
Morgan
Oh, anyways, you have anything else that we need to talk about before we jump out of here?
Abby
I don't think so.
Morgan
You thought about it. So I thought something was coming, but.
Abby
Yeah, I thought my brain was gonna go somewhere, but it didn't.
Morgan
Just said no.
Abby
It went nowhere.
Morgan
Oh, I am about to start working on. We kind of briefly talked about this because you might look into it too. I'm about to start. Once we get back from vacation, this whole detox and try and get long covet out of my body and reset, it's probably gonna be like this eight week detox, which is gonna be really tough. But of what?
Abby
Like it, like what you eat?
Morgan
Eating certain things that are not inflamed foods. I'm gonna be doing like red light therapy and saunas and oh my gosh.
Abby
I'll have to let me know.
Morgan
Lymphatic drainage, all kinds of stuff. Just trying to reset my whole body. It's gonna be a journey. And I'm really nervous, but I'm so excited to feel better. And hopefully the brain fog. I mean, I don't know if you've noticed, but easy trivia just isn't even, you know how people are like, is it clocking to you? I'm literally like, nothing is clocking in my brain right now.
Abby
No, I don't notice because I'm the same way. I'm worried about my brain working. So I'm like, oh, cool, both of us.
Morgan
There's some days I'll Come in. And my brain is like. Feels really fresh. It feels really good. I'm like, okay, I'm on it today. And there's other days where I'm like, are you mashed potatoes up there? What is happening?
Abby
It's so frustrating.
Morgan
It is frustrating. I can't really says anything.
Abby
Yeah. And you know. You know it, but it's just like, you can't think. I can't remember things. Like, I feel like mine's getting better. Like, with the brain.
Morgan
Yeah. But I've been doing neuropathy or.
Abby
Yeah, it's like neurofeedback.
Morgan
Neurofeedback.
Abby
Yeah. But I feel like. Like, mine started with COVID Like, that's when I was like, wow. That's the only thing I could think about at that time. That changed with me. It was like, oh, my gosh. It was after Covid. Yeah. That's, like, the only thing a lot of people have.
Morgan
Brain fog after Covid.
Abby
Yeah, that's what she said. I'm like, oh, good. So we're all just struggling. Yeah, we all are. And that's so frustrating. Huh.
Morgan
So I'm. I'm excited. If it works, then I'll definitely share it and stuff. Hopefully it can help other people. I'm. It's gonna be a dedication, you know? Talk about someone who, like, loves their variety. I'm gonna have to be on a pretty strict regime to.
Abby
I know. Regimen.
Morgan
Thank you.
Abby
Regime. I thought you were just abbreviating it.
Morgan
Well, for some reason, I want to say resume, and I knew that wasn't right, so I just, like, stopped.
Abby
I think Regimen.
Morgan
No, you're 100% right.
Abby
Regimen again.
Morgan
My brain doesn't work, but the word thing I can't blame on any brain fog. That's just been my brain my whole life.
Abby
Is what, the word thing?
Morgan
Yeah. I say weird. I say words weird my entire life. A lot of that comes from my father. He also does the same thing.
Abby
He does?
Morgan
Yes.
Abby
Oh, that's funny.
Morgan
So I'm definitely my father's daughter.
Abby
Just, like, pronouncing things.
Morgan
Yes. Yeah. Like, we'll sound things out instead of the actual. Like, we'll just sound it out, and that's how it comes out. Versus, like, my sister loves to make a joke. Like, you were really hooked on phonics.
Abby
Okay, that's funny. Is it, like, dyslexia in the brain?
Morgan
I'm sure.
Abby
Maybe it's, like, how you see things before you say them. I don't know. Probably.
Morgan
I really, really sucked at test Taking. And I had a lot of problems in school. I managed, like, I had a 4.0, but I. It kicks my butt. I would. All I do would study. All I do would study. All I would do is study.
Abby
All you do is study. There you go, girl.
Morgan
So, like, test or trivia?
Abby
Oh, no.
Morgan
My anxiety just shoots through the roof. Like, I shake during easy trivia sometimes because it just, like, makes me so nervous. That's how I'd feel during tests. Like on test days at school, I'd go in and I just. Everything would leave my brain or.
Abby
Yeah, yeah. It is this, like, pressure. No, I'm there, too.
Morgan
Yeah. So maybe. Maybe dyslexia. Unless that's another form of something. I don't think I had the backwards spelling. And that's what I thought. What dyslexia is. Yeah, like, where you read things backwards. And I don't think I ever had that. But I do think I had a learning disability. I just.
Abby
Yeah. Reading was not my forte. Mine was science and math. Those are my subjects. But history, reading those planets, like, now I kind of get the planets down, but I forgot. But yeah, anything. Like, that's why. Or like movies.
Morgan
Yeah, you also.
Abby
Stuff like that. I know. It's like when he's like, tv, cartoons, movies. I'm like, well, I'm just going to miss this pass.
Morgan
Mine's like, I could do English. I loved literature and I loved science. That was it. Everything else I hated. Genuinely. Especially math. I was horrible math.
Abby
Oh, my gosh, I loved math.
Morgan
Four plus four is eight and that's about all I got. Genuinely, I hated math. Still to this day, I hate it.
Abby
I love stats.
Morgan
I like analytics.
Abby
Like that. I loved it.
Morgan
Like, I like reading analytics and stuff, but probability.
Abby
Oh, I love that.
Morgan
What the crap?
Abby
It was so interesting because I like that you could apply it to your everyday life. Like trigonometry. I'm like, why do I need to know the third side of that triangle?
Morgan
Oh, yeah. Every day I'll be like, doing some normal math of, like, tipping. I'm like, why didn't they teach me about tipping Math? And so let's do Pythagorean theorem.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
I don't think I've used once in my entire life.
Abby
A squared plus B squared equals C squared.
Morgan
And tell me where that's at in my entire adult life.
Abby
Yeah. If you're like an engineer or architect or you can. Yeah. But I don't know. Even though sometimes I do have to find X. Like, was that a euphemism? Like no. Like, my friend, when I went home to Kansas, we were making, like, cookies, and they didn't have enough of one ingredient, so we had to get, like, the ratio of like, it calls for two cups, but I only have one and a half. So how do I find out how much I really need to use of other things? So then I found X.
Morgan
That's where I use Google. You're like, yeah, let me do math here. And I'm like, google.
Abby
I felt so smart.
Morgan
I love that for you.
Abby
It was awesome.
Morgan
And it probably was a really good brain exercise. And honestly, you're probably better off for it.
Abby
Yeah. And they were like, how did you know that? And then they had to call me the next day, and I just felt so smart. Like, finally.
Morgan
That was your one moment.
Abby
Yeah. Sometimes I feel not smart. It work during Easy Trivia. Same.
Morgan
I feel not smart often when we play games. It's okay.
Abby
It's all good.
Morgan
I've moved on with my life.
Abby
Yeah, we're good.
Morgan
I'm gonna go cry now. Okay. Tell the people where they can find you.
Abby
Oh, gosh. On Instagram, Abby. Oh, my gosh. What's my name on there? Because it was Abby Anderson. One underscore. Now it's Abby Lee.
Morgan
That's gonna change for, like, two years, dude. @ least.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
I'm glad you can find X when cooking, but you can't remember your own Instagram name.
Abby
I'm glad you can remember mine.
