What's up, friends? And happy Saturday. This weekend. Lunchbox is joining me. What's up, lunch?
Bobby Bones
Happy New Year.
Morgan
We're like, a week past New Year at this point.
Bobby Bones
I know, But I.
Morgan
It's 2026.
Bobby Bones
I know, but I was just telling people. I don't know that I've told these people. Happy New Year.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And I'm impressed that you can still hit those buttons.
Morgan
What do you mean? With the. With that big old ring.
Bobby Bones
I mean, dang, I thought he'd weigh down the fingers. You, ah. You got to use two hands to pick it up, but you still, with your left hand, were able to hit the buttons and turn this sucker on. And I was like, whoa, Blinded by the light. Isn't that a song? Yeah, that is Blinded by the Light. Oh, my goodness.
Morgan
He did good. He did good.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so that was just my one, one engagement joke for the first start of the first bit of the podcast. I'm sure there'll be more to come, folks. More to come. Oh, my goodness.
Morgan
Okay, well, before I let you rant on about my engagement, let's talk about your holidays.
Bobby Bones
Oh, man. What about my holidays? It was a happy holiday. Yeah. What else you guys do? We drove. So we were gonna drive to Texas, to Austin, to see my family. Shout out box family. And Austin, Texas. And we were going to go there on the 26th.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Morgan
After Christmas, After Christmas, do Christmas here.
Bobby Bones
And then go there.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And I told my wife, that doesn't really make sense. Why would we wait till the 26th? She goes, well, I just want them to have memories of waking up in their bed on Christmas. I said, they're going to have plenty of those memories. But you know what else is a memory? Waking up at Granny and Grandpa's and having your cousins there and going bananas. She's like, we just never did that as a kid. I looked her in the eyes, I said, look, we used to do that every four years. Maybe we'd wake up in our bed for three. The fourth year, we'd go to Grandma and Grandpa's. And you know what? I remember driving to Grandma and Grandpa's and the memories we made at Granny and Grandpa's. I called them Grandma and Grandpa, but we call my parents Granny and Grandpa.
Morgan
Why Granny and Grandma? Why not Grandma? She's not like Grandma.
Bobby Bones
No, she's Annie and is her name.
Morgan
Oh, so Granny.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it just rolls.
Morgan
It okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
Like it.
Bobby Bones
That was her creativity, by the way. And so after thinking about it for about you know, 30 to 45 seconds, my wife goes, you know what? You're right. Let's go ahead and go. So we left that Saturday that we got off.
Morgan
Yep. Okay.
Bobby Bones
The Saturday before Christmas. Whenever. Drive, baby.
Morgan
Now you guys have the doggo.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but we drive. It costs money to fly.
Morgan
It does cost money to fly, but.
Bobby Bones
You know how cheap it is to drive.
Morgan
That's true, but it's also just takes a lot longer. How far is the drive from here to Texas to Austin?
Bobby Bones
It's right around 12 hours.
Morgan
Okay, so you're with no stops. You're the same with me with Wichita.
Bobby Bones
Correct.
Morgan
It's. It's a pretty brutal drive.
Bobby Bones
And we had decided that we were going to try to do it in one day.
Morgan
Yeah, I do it in one day.
Bobby Bones
I don't have three kids.
Morgan
I know.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Morgan
I was about to add that I do have a dog and a cat, though.
Bobby Bones
Different.
Morgan
That adds a little party because they.
Bobby Bones
Don'T sit there and eat and drink and they just lay there.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. So we decide we're going to drive it one day and we're going to wait because my oldest son was supposed to have a basketball game. I was like, well, after the basketball game, we'll be ready to go. Bam, we're out. Then come Thursday, we find out he has no basketball game. And I'm like, what? Let's leave on Friday. Neighborhood Christmas party on Friday. Couldn't leave, so that's okay. It's okay. We're going to have the car.
Morgan
Was the neighborhood Christmas party worth it to stay?
Bobby Bones
No, absolutely not.
Morgan
It wasn't fun.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I talked to the same three families that I talked to anyway.
Morgan
And that you typically hang out with.
Bobby Bones
Yes. It's not like I mingled with all these other neighbors.
Morgan
Like, it sounds like a you problem, though. Why didn't you mingle?
Bobby Bones
Because this is what happens when you go into a situation. You start talking to the people you know, and the next thing you know, it's an hour later, and you're like, oh, well, we haven't talked to anybody else.
Morgan
Fair. That does happen.
Bobby Bones
Like, it's not like it's planned.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's just. You see, I'm like, oh, man, how you been? Da, da, da. You start talking because you know their kids, they know your kids. You ask them about that. What? And then you're like, oh, man, it's been an hour. Should we meet other people? Ah, we're good.
Morgan
Wait, so do you go to one of their houses for the party or is it like out on the street?
Bobby Bones
No, no. Is it someone's house?
Morgan
But is it at one of those, like your close friends? It was at somebody else's.
Bobby Bones
Well, here's what's crazy. It was a house that the people had. They had volunteered to host the party.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And then I don't know the guy, what he does for a living, but they decided they were going to move to Africa maybe for two years. That's for a missionary trip or something.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Is that where they.
Morgan
Yeah, I mean, missionary trips happen everywhere, so.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Well, I don't know. Maybe it's somewhere.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And so they were like, well, I guess you guys can still have the party. But there was no furniture.
Morgan
So you went to a party in an empty house?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
Did they at least have food and drinks?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, we had food and drinks. Like. Yes.
Morgan
I guess that might be the best scenario.
Bobby Bones
I mean, because then nothing can get broke. Well, I mean, it's not like a rager. That's the thing. It's not like a rager. These are.
Morgan
But the kids go, no, no kids. Oh, it's just.
Bobby Bones
It's at night. Adults.
Morgan
Okay then. Yeah. Not having furniture is a little weird.
Bobby Bones
I mean, so it was. It was a little weird. Like there was a table that they put out to put food on.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And then that was it.
Morgan
And everybody just stood around. Everybody sit on the floor at one point?
Bobby Bones
No. People leaning up against walls.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Window sills, but that's it.
Morgan
So it's kind of their going away party also.
Bobby Bones
No, no, they weren't there. They were gone.
Morgan
They had already left. So they offered their house, but then they.
Bobby Bones
This came up, I guess after. After they had already volunteered to have it.
Morgan
So who put the foot food out and everything?
Bobby Bones
Oh, it's potluck.
Morgan
So people brought things.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
But then who brought the table?
Bobby Bones
I don't know. Maybe the neighborhood committee or whatever. I don't know. Neighborhood board, whatever they're called.
Morgan
Anyways, we're derailing from neighborhood.
Bobby Bones
We're like, it's okay. We're gonna have the car packed and ready to go. Saturday morning, we wake up and go, okay. Was the car packed?
Morgan
No.
Bobby Bones
No. Okay, cool. That's all right. That's all right. I'm not mad, I'm not annoyed. No big deal.
Morgan
What time would you typically leave? Because, like when we got up to leave and we're leaving at 5:00am okay, well, because I want to get there before it's super Dark out. That's always my goal, but I know different. You have kids?
Bobby Bones
Yes. I was planning to be on the road at 8.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
On the road at 8?
Morgan
Yeah. What time did you end up leaving?
Bobby Bones
9:40.
Morgan
That's not too bad.
Bobby Bones
That's bad when you have all. Like in the afternoon when you have all week.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I'm just saying. It's all right. I'm not upset.
Morgan
Okay. So we started the trip a little frustrated.
Bobby Bones
No, no, I was cool, man. I'm in a good mood. I'm on vacay.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And then we're just start making great time. We are. We are smoking it.
Morgan
Do you drive the whole time mostly, or do you guys.
Bobby Bones
Very rare. Like, my wife hates driving at night.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Doesn't like driving when it's dark, you know? So it's mostly I do the driving.
Morgan
Okay. And if you get a little sleepy.
Bobby Bones
Then I'll let her drive for a little bit. But we are driving and we're somewhere in Arkansas. And my middle one's like, I gotta go to the bathroom. I gotta go to the bathroom. And I'm like, why? And he goes, yeah. So we pull over and he goes.
Morgan
Poop on the side of the road.
Bobby Bones
No, no. In a gas station.
Morgan
I remember last vacation where you wouldn't take them to the gas station.
Bobby Bones
Well, that was just a pee.
Morgan
I know. I just didn't know if it changed.
Bobby Bones
No, no, no. And, well, we ran into the gas station. They only had one working bathroom. And he was dancing, dancing, da da Dance the night away. And the lady was like, that was in line in front of us, goes, oh, you can go ahead of us. I'm like, oh. Little does she know he has to poop. So then we got in there and we were in there for like 15, 20 minutes because he's pooping.
Morgan
Oh, dear.
Bobby Bones
And she's just sitting out there waiting. And I come out. I'm so sorry. And she just looked at me like, screw you. And I was like, I got you. No big deal. And so we got back on the road. We're driving. We were making great time. I don't know if we. We may have stopped. That may have been our only stop so far.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Like, we brought snacks and packed lunches. No, we had stopped at a rest stop earlier to pee. Forgot about that one. Right when you got into Arkansas out of Memphis. It's the first. It's the right out there as you come over across that bridge into Arkansas. It's the first rest area. We stopped there, but. But anyway, that's derailing the story. It has nothing to do with this story. Then we are four and a half hours from Austin.
Morgan
Okay?
Bobby Bones
I mean, we are going to make it by 10 o' clock at night.
Morgan
Pretty solid for solid. A full day and three kids.
Bobby Bones
Yes. And middle child says. Dad. Dad, I gotta go poop. I'm all right, man, no problem. Let me find him. Exit the road, pull into the gas station, put it in park. He threw up all over the car. No, he didn't mention he had to throw up, did he?
Morgan
Was he car sick?
Bobby Bones
I don't know. You're asking the wrong person. You had to ask him.
Morgan
Okay, but like, did he throw up again? Was he sick after that point or just like a one off?
Bobby Bones
He didn't throw up again, but at that point we had to go into the bathroom. He did poop again.
Morgan
Is there a lot of bodily fluids that are happening on the street?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I know, I know. People are probably not really enjoying this very much. And we had to clean out the car.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Then we decided maybe we should just get a hotel. Because if he's sick, it gives a little bit more time for him to feel better. He gets a good night's sleep and we're not immediately bringing those germs to grading grandpa.
Morgan
Yeah, true.
Bobby Bones
And so we drove about. After cleaning the car, we drove into 30 more minutes because we were right in Texarkana when he Blah.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And so we drove like 30, 45 more minutes. So then we were four hours from Austin and we found a hotel. And that was the start of my vacation.
Morgan
Man, you always have a lot of bodily fluids or sickness that happens on your vacation.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that was just the first.
Morgan
Well, obviously your kids had strep that you mentioned on the big show.
Bobby Bones
That was at the end of the vacation, but there was another one in the middle. You can go check out sore losers from this past Monday to hear all about it. It was a parent's worst nightmare.
Morgan
Like they all got sick again.
Bobby Bones
It was terrifying. Let's put it this way, I was going 95 trying to get them to the ER.
Morgan
Why do you guys always have ER trips?
Bobby Bones
I don't. Because we're parents.
Morgan
Okay, but like, you're the only parents that I hear of this constantly happening on vacation specifically, I don't know, but.
Bobby Bones
I'm just telling you, got to go listen to the sore losers from this past Monday.
Morgan
I think you might be cursed in some way.
Bobby Bones
No, we really might be. I mean, I think it's like karma. The world hates me. I always Tell you guys the world hates me.
Morgan
Okay, well if you keep saying no.
Bobby Bones
One ever believes me.
Morgan
If you keep saying the world hates you, then it's going to keep hating you.
Bobby Bones
But no, I try to, I try to put good vibes, you know. Let me, let me see what the name of the episode was. It was called the Box Family Holiday Adventures. Okay, go check that one out. Sore losers. And you can hear all about it. But let me tell you. But besides all the, you know, medical bills that we accumulated over the break, it was fantastic. My parents house was so much freaking fun.
Morgan
So you split between in laws and your parents?
Bobby Bones
Split. I would say we spent 95% at my parents and then like two days at the in laws.
Morgan
Okay. Why?
Bobby Bones
Because we just saw the in laws for Thanksgiving.
Morgan
Got it. Okay. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And so we dominated my parents house.
Morgan
Nice. And was your sister's fan.
Bobby Bones
Like my sister. My sister and her kids came over a bunch. My brother and his kid. His kid came over a bunch. My brother came over a couple times.
Morgan
I say I feel like your brother's never really there so I always ask about your sister.
Bobby Bones
He was a couple times. Yeah, he came over a couple times. So yeah, we had a slumber party with all the kids like the day after Christmas.
Morgan
Nice.
Bobby Bones
And it was crazy. I mean we're talking seven kids, nine to ages from ages nine to four, two nine year olds, three seven year olds, a five year old and a four year old.
Morgan
It's a lot of kids, A lot.
Bobby Bones
Of kids running around all day.
Morgan
But did you guys have a sleepover for Santa?
Bobby Bones
No.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Because they did. The Santa came to, you know, the cousin's house. Cousin's house. And they came over at like 2:30. But Santa hit Grain and grandpa's and that was cool. And it was good. Like the first couple days we came, my sister, no one came over. So my kids got one on one time with granny and grandpa because they never get that because whenever I get there I'm always like, yo sis, get over here with your kids. I want to see you and your kids. And then we come over and it's just like chaos and this. They actually got one on one time and so it's great. But the slumber party was fantastic. They stayed up till 12:30.
Morgan
Were they tired the next day?
Bobby Bones
Oh, they woke up and like here's what's crazy. We were going so hard. So hard. There were days my kids slept till.
Morgan
8Am that and they don't normally wake.
Bobby Bones
Up at 6, 6:15.
Morgan
Yeah, you guys were going hard.
Bobby Bones
It Was.
Morgan
It was a party at Granny.
Bobby Bones
Oh, dude, let me tell you, Christmas was awesome. Granny. Let me tell you. Let me tell you about granny. Granny is Ms. Creative. She has these games that are freaking fantastic. Every year she has different games. I love that when we go in the summer, different games. And this was like pool noodle soccer. Like, you cut pool noodles in half and you get a beach ball and you had to hit it with the stick. And that was one of the games we played in the summer, this winter. One game was, she had stickers and she wrote numbers 1 through 25 on them, and we hid them throughout the house. And the kids had to go find them, come back, and stick them on the wall in 1 through 25 order. And you think, oh, the kids aren't going to get into that. They're going to be so annoyed. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Oh, my gosh. They were running around the house. They're all ripping things apart, all in the bathroom at one time, trying to find. I mean, great game.
Morgan
Oh, she's so fun.
Bobby Bones
So fun. Then we. She. But we had a snowball fight.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
She had ordered, like, I don't know what they are. Like, phone. Not even foam, but cloth. Like, stuffed. Like snowballs.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And.
Morgan
And so when the kids are really nice on Christmas.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Well, it doesn't really snow in Austin either. So when all the kids are sitting around, the adults come popping out with snowballs and start pegging people, and then it just erupts into a snowball fight.
Morgan
Is that okay? So on your guys's Christmas day, I assume you guys have food. Santa comes, and then do you guys just play games and stuff throughout the rest of the day?
Bobby Bones
Play with the toys. Yeah, Rip all the toys open. Play. Yeah, we do everything. Then we had the. The rolling game where she got, like, this red tablecloth, and it had different squares or rectangles, and you put prizes at different spots. And then you take a bottled water that's closed and you roll it.
Morgan
Yeah. Okay. I've seen some of these on social media, and I love them. They're like, minute to win it kind of games.
Bobby Bones
Yes. And you. Wherever it rolls and stops, you get that prize. Yeah, it was great. Great. And then. Then, oh, my gosh. I had to post a picture of me. She saw something online about how to make a sweatshirt into a wreath. So we were all wreaths.
Morgan
She. Oh. So it's like your hands go above.
Bobby Bones
You go about your head, and you got to put them in your sleeves, in your wreath. Got the bow and everything.
Morgan
And she made them for all of you.
Bobby Bones
She made them for all of us. Boom. A family of wreaths.
Morgan
That's funny. That's awesome.
Bobby Bones
Oh, my gosh. I mean, hot glued all that on there.
Morgan
Use that next year for your family Christmas.
Bobby Bones
Family photo maybe.
Morgan
I think you should.
Bobby Bones
That's pretty good. That's the one. My seven year old. They got to bring one picture into school and show to the class and then talk about their holidays. And he looked through all of them. He's like, ah. I was like, what about the wreath one? That was the first one I said. He goes, no, I don't want that one. They looked at all the pictures. He goes, dad, how about that one? He picked the wreath one.
Morgan
Yeah, but you suggested it. It's not that cool.
Bobby Bones
Exactly. Once he saw it. Okay, I'll do that one. You know, exactly he suggested. So yeah, it was a fantastic holiday. Like, I mean, we had so much freaking fun.
Morgan
Okay, wait. I have follow up questions. We're gonna take a quick break.
Bobby Bones
We gotta take a break.
Morgan
Yeah, and we'll come back. I have follow up questions.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so hold. Don't point that ring at me. Stop.
Morgan
This is. This is not even the.
Bobby Bones
Oh, sorry, sorry. I was just blinded by the light of that other ring. Sorry.
Morgan
Hey, hold on. This was your guys first Christmas also with Chase, your new rescue dog, correct?
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Morgan
How did he do? How did he like it?
Bobby Bones
Oh, let me tell you. Let me tell you. Oh, you think that only children went to the emergency room? Oh, no.
Morgan
You also had an emergency vet visit.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah, man. I mean, let me tell you, if there is something we know how to do, I'm telling you, we know how to spend money on doctors on the holidays.
Morgan
And you know how to sneeze. Oh, boy.
Bobby Bones
Whoa.
Morgan
That was a really good fake sneeze.
Bobby Bones
It's not fake, y'. All.
Morgan
Where's my real. Those are real.
Bobby Bones
Those are my. Those are real sneezes. Oh, my goodness.
Morgan
You know how to spend money on doctors that don't give you answers? So.
Bobby Bones
Correct.
Morgan
You're really good at this.
Bobby Bones
It's like a theme. It's unbelievable. And I. I don't know. Like, we got there and my parents just got two new dogs because both their dogs passed away in the last six months. So they got Harry and Sally. And Sally is on heartworm medicine, so she has to be calm.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So she is on a leash. So when we get there, my dad brings out Harry because Harry can be kind of.
Morgan
Are Harry and Tally both rescue dogs?
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Morgan
Okay, so they have different Personalities based on what they've been through.
Bobby Bones
Yes. Good morning and happy New Year. Happy New Year.
Morgan
Sorry, guys.
Bobby Bones
Hey, dude, can you even see in here? It's a Saturday, dude. The lights aren't on. Oh, but that bling from that ring.
Morgan
We're not doing that.
Bobby Bones
Get out.
Morgan
Get out. You guys are insane.
Bobby Bones
I don't know why he's here on a Saturday. That's what you're probably doing. His show. His rock show. So Harry can be a little. As my dad said, he's kind of grouchy at the beginning, but so he came out. He tried to get chased and tried to get chased. So he went on a walk around the block. He's still trying to get Chase. So then we switched. I walked Harry and my dad walked Chase, and they kind of. Kind of became friends. And then we let him loose in the backyard, and it was pure pandemonium.
Morgan
I don't know if that means it was good or it was bad.
Bobby Bones
Oh, it's great. They were just going crazy, and they were. And then we had to teach Chase how to use the dog door, which I need to get at my house. I need a dog door. And in and out, in and out. It's like the Tasmanian Devil.
Morgan
You don't need a dog door, though, because Chase would stay outside because.
Bobby Bones
Well, he does stay outside. But it's better than me leaving my back door open.
Morgan
That's true. But, like, wouldn't he just stay out there all the time instead of ever coming?
Bobby Bones
I don't know. I think the option of having to be able to go in and out maybe be better. I don't know. But this whole running. I mean, leaving the back door open is very annoying and it's costly.
Morgan
So then how did it work with Sally when they came in from being crazy?
Bobby Bones
Oh, Sally was on steroids, so she was just going to chill.
Morgan
Oh, so she did go with Chase then.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah. And.
Morgan
And Chase was living it up his family.
Bobby Bones
He was just the best Christmas of his life.
Morgan
Oh, good.
Bobby Bones
It was his first Christmas. No, because he was born in November.
Morgan
So isn't he a year?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah. But I don't know what he was doing for Christmas last year. He could have been on the streets.
Morgan
It's true. You know, so this was really his first Christmas.
Bobby Bones
This is his first Christmas. Rehabilitated. Yeah.
Morgan
This is awesome.
Bobby Bones
We got him off the streets, you know, he changed his life around. He really buckled down.
Morgan
Yeah. You guys changed his life, but he didn't have a life that he needed to change.
Bobby Bones
He didn't no, no, he did. He was on the streets and he was. I mean, but.
Morgan
Yeah, but he did that to him.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but you don't know what he was getting into. You know what I mean? Bad influences, hanging around the wrong people. So we got him off the streets.
Morgan
Okay. All right. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And he's never going back.
Morgan
Well, I'm glad.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So this is great. But, yeah. So here. All about the medical bill with the. The vet box Family adventure.
Morgan
Chris, was it an emergency er? Because those vet bills.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah, it was. It. It was the day we got there.
Morgan
Oh, man. Yeah, those suck.
Bobby Bones
Let's just say it was. We were in Austin for 45 minutes before we had to go to the emergency vet.
Morgan
Was it something he did on his own, or was it with Harry and Tally?
Bobby Bones
It was with him and Harry.
Morgan
Yeah. That's hard.
Bobby Bones
No, no, no, no, no. It wasn't bad.
Morgan
Okay. They did a roughhouse too hard.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Morgan
Did Chase Terror's acl.
Bobby Bones
You'll have to go listen to the.
Morgan
Sore losers, and you have to tell me.
Bobby Bones
I can't tell you because then that ruins it. People won't go listen.
Morgan
Yes, they will.
Bobby Bones
No, they won't. I need people to listen. Like, I need. Like, people are listening to this, and if they want to know why we were going 95 and then. Why. What happened to chase sore losers?
Morgan
All right. That's a long tease if I've ever heard one.
Bobby Bones
No, it was really short, actually. It was only like, 12 seconds.
Morgan
Is there anything else from your vacation that you really loved?
Bobby Bones
I got to play golf with Garrett, Greg, and Jacob, my boys.
Morgan
That your boys from back home?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So that was nice. That was a really good time. And I got to see no teeth Keith.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
He came over. He's a 49ers fan. I'm a Bears fan. They played while I was in town.
Morgan
They play each other?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So it was great. It was Sunday Night Football, so he came over and batters box. Who's my brother. He's a big 49ers fan, but he has his routine. He has to watch at his house.
Morgan
Why do you have some 49ers fans and some Chicago Bears fans?
Bobby Bones
Because my brother's mental. I don't know. My mom grew up in Chicago. My dad grew up in Chicago. Bears.
Morgan
Okay. So your brother just found influence elsewhere?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Probably no teeth Keith. I don't know.
Morgan
Where are 49ers?
Bobby Bones
San Francisco. Yeah. But, yeah, my brother was like, you can come over and watch it. And I was like, all right. I'M bringing the whole family. He's like, well, you can come and leave the kids at Granny's. And I'm like. He's like, we got, we got specific, you know, like got our blanket on the couch and we have our seating arrangement. There's not enough room. And I'm like, bro, I'm in town one. How many times? Once, twice a year.
Morgan
Does your brother have kids?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he has a nine year old boy.
Morgan
He's past the young age phase though.
Bobby Bones
No, no, he's still nine. He still likes to play. But I mean, they have their whole routine. I don't know. I was like, bro, it's one time. Who cares?
Morgan
So did you go over and watch it?
Bobby Bones
No.
Morgan
Did he come over and watch the game?
Bobby Bones
No. No.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Literally did not come over. So my sister came over with her three kids, my three kids, Keith, my mom and dad. And we. And that's the thing, we didn't watch the whole game. We were out playing, running around, you know, watch a little bit here and my brother not gonna go for that.
Morgan
He has to watch the whole game.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. Oh, gosh.
Morgan
And sorry, my alarm just went off at my house.
Bobby Bones
I was not trying to steal your ring. Quit.
Morgan
No, no, my. My fiance. I'm not used to saying that yet. He said I'll feel arm on accident.
Bobby Bones
Good, good. Yeah. So there you go. I mean, that was my holiday. It was great.
Morgan
Yeah, it sounds fun. Did you enjoy yourself?
Bobby Bones
Oh my gosh. Yeah.
Morgan
You relax. You sleep in.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I was so tired.
Morgan
Yeah, like.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I was so tired. Like it was. I mean, it was. Go, go, go. Let me tell you, those kids don't. They don't.
Morgan
So do you need a vacation from your vacation?
Bobby Bones
No, because we went to in my in laws. I mean it's so much more. Just.
Morgan
Chill, okay?
Bobby Bones
Because there's not a hundred cousins running around. There's just not pure chaos. Three dogs running around. You know what I mean?
Morgan
It's more so you got to catch up on your sleep a little bit more there.
CVS Advertiser
Yes.
Morgan
Relax.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Morgan
Okay.
Podcast Host
So that different vibes.
Morgan
We like different vibes.
Bobby Bones
Different vibes. A lot quieter, a lot more calm. There's not a lot of yelling.
Morgan
That's good for you though. You need that every once in a while.
Bobby Bones
But I did. My dad did win a prestigious award.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
He won.
Morgan
You're about to joke with me, aren't you?
Bobby Bones
No. The art of the month for December.
Morgan
You were joking with me. I'm not saying that he didn't win that. But you were Messing with me that it was like a prestigious award from the HOA or something.
Bobby Bones
Whoa, whoa. There is no hoa but the neighborhood committee or whatever they are. Okay.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
He got the best yard for December.
Morgan
I bet he really.
Bobby Bones
Decorations were the absolute home run. Best Shout out, pops.
Morgan
That's awesome. Does he have a lot of, like, inflatables?
Bobby Bones
He has, like, three inflatables, but he had all these candy canes. He had lights. He had everything.
Morgan
A little Griswold house, he had.
Bobby Bones
Oh, and then on the side yard, he had the manger set up and all this. And he had the. The cross on the chimney. I mean, dude, he. And he goes, I wasn't even going to put that up. All this up. Then when you guys said you were coming, I was like, I better get the lights out for the kids. And he told the guy, he said, I'm going to tell you what, I'm a little upset that I never won this before. I've lived here. And he goes, I've lived here 30, 40 years.
Morgan
Wait, so do you think he got it at a. Some. Some sympathy there?
Bobby Bones
Nope. Nope. Because I've lived here 39 years. My yard used to have no grass in it. 12 bikes, baseballs, baseball bats, soccer balls, gloves, and I never won it. Then he goes, isn't that what a yard is supposed to be, is for kids to play in? Who cares about fancy bushes and nice flowers? He goes, but I'll take the sign.
Morgan
So he told them that as he was getting the award.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
Yeah, that's funny. Yeah, that's really funny. Your dad's cool and parents are cool.
Bobby Bones
And then he. He did text. He goes, the other day, he texted. I think it was two days ago. He goes, bad news, guys. The sign is gone because it's January.
Morgan
Somebody else got awarded. Yeah, he got one month, though, and that's the best month.
Bobby Bones
But, yeah, he got the best. He got the. He got it. He was so excited.
Morgan
Oh, that's so fun.
Bobby Bones
And the committee posts the winner on their Facebook page, like, oh, best lot. You know, best house. And had a picture. And he was all.
Morgan
He is you are him. He is you.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And then my mom was mad. My mom was like, the one year I didn't help, and he wins the one year. Hey. So now he's going to tell me that it's him that wins.
Morgan
You know what? Good excuse for her not to help, though.
Bobby Bones
Ding.
Morgan
I like it.
Bobby Bones
I agree. I agree.
Morgan
Okay, we're going to take one.
Bobby Bones
We're going to talk about your Holidays.
Morgan
We're going to take a quick break.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Back.
Morgan
And I'm gonna leave this over to you. Help me. All right. Lunch. I'm gonna let you ask whatever questions you want to ask, I guess.
Bobby Bones
Oh, man.
Morgan
I don't know if I want to do this.
Bobby Bones
No, no, you do want to do this. Like, did you cry?
Morgan
Yes.
Bobby Bones
I got a question. This is what really, I. I didn't understand. How was he miked? Well, how were you guys? Mic'd up.
Morgan
Oh. So he had a videographer there and the videographer miked him. So it was kind of funny when we.
Bobby Bones
Wait, if he's miked. How did.
Morgan
You didn't. It's underneath your shirt. You can't see it.
Bobby Bones
But how did he get miked up without you knowing?
Morgan
So when we first got into Botanica, which was funny because I was giving him a hard time before we left, he always has to pee. This is like a thing. He always has to pee a lot. And so we. He had peed before we left. We get into Botanica, he's like, I got to go to the bathroom again. I was like, are you kidding me? You literally just went, whatever, go to the bathroom. So apparently in this bathroom.
Bobby Bones
So he met up with another video in the bathroom with my brother in.
Morgan
Law, because my brother in law was also trying to help and, like, get us away from the situation. So I didn't start to become suspicious.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Morgan
So, yes, they. But he went into this bathroom hoping to meet a videographer while there was just an old guy and a young kid in there. He's like, I don't think either one of you are. They were in the wrong bathroom. So then it became this whole thing that, like, we were kind of going around the park and I was like, what are we doing? We're just going to be walking. Like, you know when you go in a place and there's like.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, there's a. There's a routine and you follow it.
Morgan
Yeah, we were not following it. And I was like, what are we doing? What's going on?
Bobby Bones
How did they see. That's what I don't understand. How do you mess up which bathroom?
Morgan
Well, there's like three different bathrooms in there.
Bobby Bones
No, no, but you say the bathroom right when you walk in.
Morgan
Well, there's two entrances. Oh, guy was on the other one. So then, like, we're walking. They're like, okay, we're going to go get a drink. And when they went to the drink is when they finally went to the right bathroom.
Bobby Bones
Did you know they Were going back to the bathroom?
Morgan
No, I thought they were going to get a drink.
Bobby Bones
Did they come back with a drink?
Morgan
Yeah, some of them did.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Morgan
But it took a long time. They're like, that line was like so long. And it is. It's a really busy day. You're two days before Christmas. So everything was like, not so suspicious. But enough where I was like, okay, you guys are being weird, whatever. But I wasn't putting something together.
Bobby Bones
But my question is, okay, no, no, call me. I. I don't want to be skeptical Harry or Stewart the skeptical, but why did we need a mic?
Morgan
Because you want to capture the audio of what he's saying.
Bobby Bones
Got it. Okay.
Morgan
Because I. He knew I would want that. He knew I wanted the documentation of it, but he actually just had hired a photographer to take pictures. That was actually all he did. The photographer?
Bobby Bones
Did you see the photographer?
Morgan
Not until he was getting down on one knee. I knew her.
CVS Advertiser
She.
Morgan
Her and I went to high school together. Her name's Stacy.
Bobby Bones
Whoa, whoa. He went in the bathroom with a chicken?
Morgan
No, that's. Hold on. That's a photographer. The photographer is all he hired. But her she had offered him was like, hey, do you want a videographer?
Bobby Bones
Like, a videographer and photographer are different.
Morgan
Not the same thing.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Morgan
Now the videographer is a dude.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Morgan
So he wasn't planning on that. He was just going to have somebody capture like iPhone, video or whatever. But she offered him the videographer to come and that's who was like, you definitely want audio if you're going to do like.
Bobby Bones
So how long after he got miked up did he propose and did this?
Morgan
Within like 20 minutes.
Bobby Bones
But did you see this girl you knew before that?
Morgan
So my whole family was kind of standing on stairs. My family didn't know it was happening, but we were like taking a picture.
Bobby Bones
Well, they had to know because they. He had a mic on.
Morgan
You can't see the mic.
Bobby Bones
Nobody. The brother in law's there, bro.
Morgan
The brother in law. My sister knew that was it. Nobody else knew it was happening.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Morgan
So, like, my family's all like standing kind of up like the, the tree sits down in this little thing and then there's like stairs on each side where you can kind of walk up. And my family was up waiting on the stairs because it was like we were just taking a picture in front of the tree. And as we're taking. My sister's taking that picture of us, I see Stacy, like pop out behind my dad like a smidge. And I Was like, is that. And I kind of like. But as soon as I realized it was her, he was getting down on one knee, and that was the only moment I could finally put it together.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so did you get pictures back?
Morgan
Oh, yeah, we posted them.
Bobby Bones
Oh, those are them.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Those are professional.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Those aren't iPhone?
Morgan
No, those are iPhone.
Bobby Bones
So when he gets down on a knee, does your mom go, like. Does she freak out?
Morgan
I have no idea what's happening over there. I'm, like, zoned into him because I'm just like, what was happening? I don't. I'm just like, word vomiting because he's down on one knee, and I'm like, what's going on? And then he just starts doing his speech. So I have no idea what's happening anywhere else until we finally, like, the.
Bobby Bones
Whole botanica clap for you, Botanica.
Morgan
There was a lot of clapping. Yeah, there's a lot of clapping. But there wasn't. Where the tree was is kind of a little bit more secluded area, so it wasn't like there was a whole bunch of people.
Bobby Bones
So it's not in the middle of botanic. Botanica.
Morgan
Botanica.
Bobby Bones
Botanica. Got it.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Huh. So then what do you do to celebrate? You leave botanica immediately?
Morgan
No, we still, like. We ended up finally, like, now getting to enjoy Botanica, which is what we normally do.
Bobby Bones
No, there ain't. You don't enjoy botanica now. You're just like, oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Morgan
There was a lot of walking around and just talking about like, that, and I was freaking out because there was a ring on my hand, and I was like this. I said, oh, my God. A lot. There was a lot of like.
Bobby Bones
That's what I mean. So it's not like you're. Whatever you're doing. It's like people are like, oh, let's go to dinner afterwards. It's like, what? What? What? That's all you. And then you keep going over the same. I imagine you just go over whatever just happened about 5,000 times that night.
Morgan
Yeah. Because then we, like, FaceTime. We'd FaceTime his family first when we got home.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Morgan
They knew a lot of his family knew it was happening because he had talked to them before we left.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Morgan
So we FaceTime all them, and then we FaceTimed all our friends. There was a lot of the same story.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's crazy, because I didn't get a FaceTime.
Morgan
You didn't?
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. So I guess all your friends know. All your friends. All your friends. Dang, man. Did you guys hear that? She FaceTimed all her friends. I sure as hell didn't get one.
Morgan
Yes, the friends who will likely be on my. In my wedding party if I.
Bobby Bones
You're gonna have a wedding party?
Morgan
I don't know.
Bobby Bones
I don't.
Morgan
I might. We might elope. I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Like, your girls that you've all you've been with since high school or college. Sorry. They want to be in your wedding party.
Morgan
Oh. Yeah. I mean, we might.
Bobby Bones
I've met them. They want to be in the wedding.
Morgan
You've met a bunch of different ones of them. Yes.
Bobby Bones
Yes. So. I know. I know.
Morgan
I. I just don't know. I. I might want a really small wedding. I don't know. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on a wedding lunch.
Bobby Bones
So what. Did. Did your dad cry? Like, what happens?
Morgan
Yeah, there's. In the video, you can see my dad, like, tearing up, and he's, like, wiping away tears. And my mom's freaking out. She's so excited because she had no idea it was coming.
Bobby Bones
But your sister already knew, so is she emotional or she already, like, I already knew.
Morgan
No, like, she knew it was coming, but she was still freaking out that it happened. The whole moment had just.
Bobby Bones
Was the baby there?
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Did the baby freak out?
Morgan
No, baby's too young.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Baby didn't care.
Morgan
Months old.
Bobby Bones
Baby didn't care.
Morgan
She was, like, sleeping.
Bobby Bones
Got it. So then you leave Botanica, and do you go out and get drinks or you go home? What do you do?
Morgan
Yeah, I mean, we went home, and we were FaceTiming and stuff, and then we.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's right.
Morgan
Yeah. Then we played games with the family and stuff. So we were celebrating just, like, hanging out at the house.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Morgan
We did celebrate with more drinking and stuff that week. We went out with a bunch of my different friends and at home, so.
Bobby Bones
So were you not worried that someone in Wichita was going to post it before you did?
Morgan
Oh, I did have that panic because we went to church on Christmas Eve and somebody came up.
Bobby Bones
Oh, amen.
Morgan
Amen.
Bobby Bones
Hallelujah.
Morgan
And somebody came up to talk to my sister, and she, like, then was like, oh, hey, I listened to the show, whatever. And I literally, like, panicked, and I just, like, slowly moved my hand. I was holding the baby at the time, and. And I just kind of slowly moved my hand underneath. I was like, I hope she didn't see that, because I hadn't posted it yet. Interesting, because I didn't post until after Christmas.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I have no Idea.
Morgan
I know. Like, timeline's weird.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Well, the only reason I knew is because I think it was my mother in law. My mother in law texted and goes, oh, Morgan's engaged. I was like, what I know of.
Morgan
You probably weren't on social media.
Bobby Bones
No, that's. I was like, oh, let me go. So I was like, I guess I'll go look. That's. And that's how I knew.
Morgan
That's when you found out.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, because I was like, I have no idea. I mean, my. See, that's what's funny is when people text me because I'm like, I don't know people. Like, I don't pay attention. Like, I am in my own world.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And it's like. Like, people are so. I mean, I don't want to call people dumb, but this girl we used to work with, right? She used to be a sales girl for us. She texted me. She goes, oh, my gosh. Bobby really won them. And I'm like, how dumb are you? Like, how. Like, you worked with him. Like, how? Like, I'm just like, I can't. And I just texted her back and I was like. Because, a. I had no idea what she was talking about.
Morgan
You again, been on social media.
Bobby Bones
Yes, I had no idea. And I was like, there is zero percent chance he won. I don't know where you got that.
Morgan
You didn't go online to see what was happening. You just, like, were, like, responding.
Bobby Bones
That's why. Well, she didn't say, oh, I saw it on Instagram or wherever she saw it. So I didn't know anything about him posting that he won till we came to work and he was talking about how he did that. I was like, why does this girl think he won? Like, what?
Morgan
And then you finally started putting all the pieces together.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Now I'm like, oh, and I should have been so harsh to her. Like, I was like, there's zero percent chance. I don't know where you got that online. And then she never replied. So I was like, okay, well, I put that to bed.
Morgan
And your wife is normally more online than you are.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, she is. She's been doing a better job of not being online. I've been, you know, telling her, hey, get offline.
Morgan
Why get offliner to get offline.
Bobby Bones
Because it's not good for you.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's a waste of time.
Morgan
Much of it. Yes.
Bobby Bones
No, it's a waste of time. It's a waste of time.
Morgan
Yeah. But you post, you can't say that people are following you.
Bobby Bones
No, no, I Understand? I get that. But it. Yes. It's a weird. It's a weird thing.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Is that I say it's a waste time, but then I post because I think I'm supposed to post.
Morgan
You are supposed to post.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
If you want people to follow you and you want to go viral and all those things. Yes. Okay. Well, anything else that you have questions about before we get out of here?
Bobby Bones
How much that ring cost?
Morgan
I don't know. He's. He's been saving for a while.
Bobby Bones
So you didn't ask him?
Morgan
No. This is not my business. My. My only one thing that I said.
Bobby Bones
To him is, you have to know because you have to get an insured.
Morgan
Yes. And so I'll find out eventually. At this moment, we haven't.
Bobby Bones
Oh, well, that's not good. Because if you lose it.
Morgan
I know. And I'm really worried about wearing it.
Bobby Bones
The first thing you should do is get it insured.
Morgan
I know, but it was hard. We were over Christmas and nobody was open, and we had all of that, so. But we are. It's on my list to do specific. Actually, by the time you probably hear this podcast, I will have done it, because it's been on my list to do it this week specifically.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Morgan
But I did tell him. I was like, please don't go into debt for a ring. That's very important to me, so.
Bobby Bones
Well, I mean.
Morgan
You have a lot of people that go into debt for weddings and rings and stuff, and I just.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you're right.
Morgan
How I.
Bobby Bones
No, no, no. You don't want to be in debt. Yeah, that's true. Did he pay a credit card or cash?
Morgan
I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Do you write a check?
Morgan
I don't think he wrote a check. A lot of people don't write checks now.
Bobby Bones
You don't have checks?
Morgan
I do.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Morgan
I'm not like a lot of people, though. There's not a lot of people that write checks now.
Bobby Bones
I would say 50% of people still write checks.
Morgan
I would say, like, 15%, maybe.
Bobby Bones
Really?
Morgan
Yeah. Venmo Cash app. I mean, there's too many things that exist now.
Bobby Bones
My dad, he doesn't do the atm debit card.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
He'll go to his bank and write a check for two. Cash.
Morgan
Wow.
Bobby Bones
And get cash out of the bank.
Morgan
You do that?
Bobby Bones
No, I haven't. I have a debit card. But I will say that I forget my PIN all the time. Like, I always go. And I'm like, what is my pen?
Morgan
How do you forget a PIN of something that you use? Often?
Bobby Bones
Well, I usually just go to the bank and do a withdrawal.
Morgan
So you always pay with cash?
Bobby Bones
No, but I like to have a little bit of cash in my pocket.
Morgan
That's fair. But then, like, when you go and make purchases and stuff out in the world.
Bobby Bones
Well, I'm going to tell you, it sucks. My retirement has taken a hit.
Morgan
You do have a retirement.
Bobby Bones
Because what I used to do is when something was $3 and 12 cents.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Give them $4, and then they're going to give you 88 cents back. That change I put in a bucket.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And that's my retirement. And now that it's a lot less cash being used.
Morgan
Hold on. Your only retirement is this change in a bucket. Am I following that correctly?
Bobby Bones
No teeth. Keith taught me this.
Morgan
I'm just making sure I'm following correctly. Yes or no.
Bobby Bones
Because that was what Keith would do. He would go somewhere, pay with $3, get the 88 cents back, and he'd throw the 88 cents on his floorboard and he's like, that's the retirement kid.
Morgan
So this is a. Yes. That's your only retirement.
Bobby Bones
That's my retirement.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
But it's. It's retirement.
Morgan
It. Yes. You should probably go, like, put that in, like, a fund.
Bobby Bones
I should probably. But I don't know how much it is.
Morgan
Well, you can go get it. Like, take it to the bank. Take it. Take it to wherever you do. To count the coins.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
And put it in a fund so it can start making money. Otherwise you're not making money off of it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. But it is cool to see that jar and see it fill up. That's cool.
Morgan
But you can keep doing that. But like, every so often. Every so often you take the change and you take it in. So. Because you love free money.
Bobby Bones
I do.
Morgan
Right.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
You can get free money if you invest that.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
To make money off of your money. So if you go do that and then you can still keep getting change. You can just refill it.
Bobby Bones
But the problem is I don't get as much change because it's a lot of cashless world.
Morgan
I know.
Bobby Bones
It's really frustrating me.
Morgan
And that's why your retirement's taking a hit.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Morgan
Okay, so.
Bobby Bones
And you know what I should do? And there's another thing I should do to make money somewhat like. Cause fantasy football, like the Sore Losers, we do a big league over there. In the Sore losers podcast, there's 48 teams. So everybody pays me their money in the beginning of the year. So I have that money for six months. So I should put it somewhere.
Morgan
You should not.
Bobby Bones
What?
Morgan
You should not. You. You're not a bank.
Bobby Bones
No, no, but I should put it. Ray told me that I should put it in Roth.
Morgan
IRA or something.
Bobby Bones
A cd.
Morgan
Okay, yes. I mean, you make money off of that, but that's other people's money. And then you're sketchy, and then you could definitely get called on the IRS for that. I don't know how, but I feel like you could.
Bobby Bones
Oh, really?
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay, maybe I shouldn't do that.
Morgan
That's too sketchy. Because it's other people's money and they're going. It's going. Supposed to be going to something.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Morgan
And then you use it for that when you're not actually a bank. Banks do that, right? They take your money and they spend it and do whatever.
Bobby Bones
I didn't know that either until a couple years ago.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I thought all my money was literally just sitting at the bank.
Morgan
Maybe once upon a time. Not now. Yeah, but you're not a bank, so I don't know. I don't know how, but I feel like that's not. You don't want to get the IRS called on you for that, so I would not do that.
Bobby Bones
All right, but because you were saying free money, and I was like, speaking of free money, it made me think of that.
Morgan
Yeah, but that. That's dirty money. That's what we call dirty money.
Bobby Bones
Oh, man. Crap.
Morgan
All right, yeah, let's. Let's not do that. I don't want the irs.
Bobby Bones
So do you take a shower and you leave that ring on?
Morgan
No. Right now, I'm taking it off all the time because I'm scared, which is probably worse than I'm taking it off all the time.
Bobby Bones
No, no, it's okay. Listen, here's the thing about the ring, and I hate to be Debbie Downer here. It's cool. Right now, year or two, you'll barely wear it.
Morgan
You never wear a ring.
Bobby Bones
I know.
Morgan
Why don't you ever wear a wedding ring?
Bobby Bones
It's just, I don't do jewelry. I'm not. I don't wear watches.
Morgan
You get one of those, like, silicon rings.
Bobby Bones
I've never worn anything. And my wife barely ever wears her ring. Her. Like, her engagement ring. You know what I mean? It's like. It's cool in the beginning, but then it's like, oh, my God, I got to. Where is it? Oh. And it's like. It's just weird.
Morgan
Yeah, it is weird. And trust me, they're like.
Bobby Bones
And my wedding ring doesn't fit perfectly, so it can fall off pretty easily.
Morgan
So you should get, like, a silicone.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but that's not the same thing. It's not the wedding ring, so what's the point?
Morgan
But, I mean, yeah, you should start wearing it, though. It'd be good for, you know, I.
Bobby Bones
Wear it to, like, event. Like, if it's a nice event and I'm getting dressed, I put it on.
Morgan
Okay. So nice things.
Bobby Bones
Yes. It's just every day, it just looks weird to have a nice ring when I'm wearing a hoodie and pants.
Morgan
Okay. Okay. That's mine.
Bobby Bones
I'm just not. And I'm worried about getting it stuck on my finger if I get hurt at work.
Morgan
Yeah, her at work.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
That's like, if you, like, operate heavy machinery.
Morgan
Yeah, I was really with you being like, I'm worried about getting stuck on my hand. And then he said at work, and. Yeah, you tap out on that one. Okay, we're gonna jump out of here. Do you have any other remaining questions?
Bobby Bones
Oh, man, I probably do, and I just can't think of any. I probably forgot them. God, I probably.
Morgan
What is funny about the ring? And I'll. I'll leave it at this. He proposed, and I made him, like, get up off of one knee and, like, kiss me and hug me because I was so excited. And then he, like, pulled back after our little, like, moment of celebration. He's like, so, do you want the ring? I had, like, forgotten that he was ring on my hand, so.
Bobby Bones
Did you cry immediately?
Morgan
I was tearing up as he was, like.
Bobby Bones
You were in shock speech.
Morgan
Yeah. And surprised and, like, overwhelmed with excitement. Yeah, all of the.
Bobby Bones
Pee your pants.
Morgan
I did not pee my pants.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so some people. Some people pee your pants and they get so excited.
Morgan
Yeah, that's not me yet.
Bobby Bones
Like, Sage On Survivor season 49, she. It's like, I. You know, I just. When I get excited, I pee. Like, I just peed right now.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And she would peel up in her pants.
Morgan
You pee your pants when you get excited?
Bobby Bones
No, No, I don't.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I've just heard of it.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And so I just wondered.
Morgan
I did not. I did not. But thank you for asking that question.
Bobby Bones
Just wait till the first time you misplace that ring.
Morgan
I know. I'm not looking.
Bobby Bones
It's coming. It happens.
Morgan
Don't put that on me.
Bobby Bones
No, no, I'm just telling you here.
Morgan
Before you put bad juju.
