Lunchbox
Hey, welcome to Monday's show Morning Studio.
Producer
Morning.
Lunchbox
I want to start with Amy. Amy, what do you want to talk about?
Amy
Well, I want to talk about being honest versus being mean because I think Lunchbox could benefit from knowing the difference because I think sometimes he means well and he'll share something, but then it comes off really rude.
Lunchbox
And I think at times there's a fine line. And at times one person's honesty is another person's meanness. But also, yes, I'd like to know.
Amy
Specifically so I can just reenact what happened. Okay, so Lunchbox said, you know, at your age, talking to you. Yeah, we're talking about dating and guys. And he said, at your age, you can't be too picky with guys. And so I was like, okay, while that is honest, I don't think it's honest, though.
Lunchbox
I don't think it's true.
Amy
It is on it.
Lunchbox
Like, I don't think that's true, though. But anyway, I don't want to interrupt. Go ahead, go ahead. Okay. Please continue.
Amy
So I was thinking about what he could have said or what would have been helpful. And it's, I'm sure dating is challenging. So keeping an open mind is important because like you're saying, like it's challenging at a certain age and like, you know, if it's good to be particular. But maybe you need to keep an open mind because when you think smaller, you're too picky, you miss out.
Lunchbox
I think you have extremely high expectations of.
Amy
But do you see the difference between vernacular alone? Do you see the difference between the honest statement versus the mean statement?
Lunchbox
That definitely does come off as mean. Before I expand and expound, Lunchbox, your thoughts on what she says.
Eddie
Yeah, Bobby, I would like to say that we need to learn about being sensitive.
Lunchbox
Sally, why do you talk like that?
Eddie
Talk about being nice and not being. No, she was talking about how hard it is to date and like, oh, I just can't find a good guys there. There's always something wrong with them. I like this part of them, or I don't like that aspect of them. And I said, amy, at your age and stage of life, can't be too picky. Like, you just had to, like, kind of. It's.
Lunchbox
I don't feel like that's. It's. I feel like that's your opinion, because I do not feel like that's the truth. So that we're working on three things here.
Eddie
Because she's like 44 years old.
Amy
So I'm 43. Gonna be 44, right? Yes.
Eddie
See, there's. The pool is not as wide when you're 23, 24 years old. The scheme, the landscape is all over the place now.
Lunchbox
Scheme.
Producer
I don't know what that means.
Eddie
You are pigeonholed into a tight little window and there's not as many guys available, and a lot of them are going to have a lot more baggage. So you just got to take it.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Amy
I mean, he's referring specifically to, you know, in dating, there's certain things, like there's one guy in particular where I was like, oh, yeah, no way. I cannot go out with that person. And, you know, that's just shutting myself off to something that could be awesome.
Lunchbox
I think there's honesty, there's meanness, and then somewhere in the middle, there's the truth, the honest. I think he was. That was mean. But it's also.
Eddie
No, it wasn't me.
Lunchbox
You don't feel it was mean as you said it, she took it as mean.
Eddie
Right. She was being sensitive. I was just.
Lunchbox
I don't think that's her being sensitive, because I would.
Amy
No, I don't think I was being sensitive.
Eddie
Well, you think it's kind of true too, though.
Lunchbox
No, I actually. What Amy said. I did not agree with what she said where she's like, it's true. I don't think it's true at all. I think you should be even more sensitive. Selective now.
Eddie
Oh.
Amy
I mean, I. Yeah, I need to have selective things, but there's just some stuff that I was saying, like a blanket. No. To really quickly, like just throwing the blanket over and being like, no way. Okay, I know. But then what I was saying to him is like, then I realized, like, oh, maybe I can do this. And I did it. And then he's just sort of like at your age, I don't think you can be too picky. And I'm like, was that comment necessary?
Lunchbox
I wonder if he. I don't feel like he meant it as mean.
Amy
No, he didn't.
Lunchbox
As he said it. I don't think he understands. What he says sometimes comes off as really mean. No.
Amy
I feel like we were having a good, honest conversation.
Lunchbox
Do you understand why that would be taken? Hurtful Lunchbox? No.
Eddie
Because if I'm. No, that's what I'm saying. I can't understand how it's hurtful. It really is. When you're older, you don't have as many to choose from, so you can't. You're going to have to not be as picky. You're going to have to.
Amy
But you don't want to settle.
Lunchbox
You can be pickier with less to choose from.
Eddie
You're going to.
Lunchbox
Because you've learned life lessons.
Amy
I know.
Lunchbox
Because the numbers game isn't the same doesn't mean you're more or less picky. I think, Amy, what you're trying to do is introduce a pilgrim to the iPhone, and that is not going to happen. There's no way in 100 years a pilgrim will understand the iPhone.
Amy
Because I get it. It's not like he's like saying something really, really hurtful. But I think this is just good for everybody to keep in mind. And there's a question that you can ask yourself. Lunchbox, before you speak. All right. Is what I'm about to say honest to help, or will it be hurtful if it comes out, could it potentially be hurtful? Like, if you want to be honest and help, sure. But could it be hurtful? So then you just keep it to yourself. And that could be for anybody listening right now with any feedback that you have for somebody to conclude.
Lunchbox
Lunchbox, how do you feel about your statement? If you were to ask yourself that before you said it, I thought it.
Eddie
Was honest and helpful.
Amy
Okay.
Lunchbox
And that is okay. And, you know. And that again, is introduced someone on the Mayflower to the iPhone. There's just no way they can understand that. And he's not going to understand or take this and. Okay, yeah. But I think that's good for everybody else.
Amy
Yeah. I'm just not making, like, a huge deal.
Lunchbox
I don't think you did. I just thought it was an interesting thing. I also think you can be even more selective. Even if the pool isn't as big, I don't think. And you should be okay.
Eddie
Have fun being Alone.
Lunchbox
Now. Okay, now, was that honest or was that not? What do you think about that?
Amy
That's what he was implying. He did say something along the lines of that the other day when we had this conversation. And I forget. I forgot.
Eddie
I forgot you had to have fun being alone.
Lunchbox
Oh, now you have to have fun?
Amy
Yes.
Eddie
You have to be okay being al Alone, because that's what it's gonna be like.
Amy
I am okay being alone, or I will be. But I don't think I'm gonna have to be.
Lunchbox
No way.
Eddie
You talk about dating.
Lunchbox
Hello, Bobby Bones. I love my wife. I love her creativity. Every year, she gives me a homemade Christmas gift. It would be nice, however, to get a present that I can actually use. Homemade presents are wonderful, and I do appreciate the effort that she puts into making them. However, I have no use for all these decorative trinkets she's making that I feel obligated to display in the house. How can I tell her this without crushing her creative Christmas spirit? Because making them clearly means a lot to her. Signed husband to a Christmas elf. That's funny. It's like a kid and putting their stuff up on the fridge. Almost like you have to hang it. First of all, what I would say, and I'm sure you already do, this is understand and appreciate. This is her love language. Like, this is how she is showing love to you is that she makes something with her own hands. Hard eyeballs, right? Like, everyone has a different love language, both sending and receiving. And in a way, this is hers, because maybe she feels like if she makes it with her own hands and hearts, you feel it more so with your own hands and heart. So understand that first that it is going to be a sensitive thing to discuss. However you do have, you do deserve to get a good present, too. I mean, you know, and I think it's probably a one plus one type deal. I don't think you tell her you don't like or you desire any less the homemade gift.
Amy
Oh, you need. You still need the homemade gift.
Lunchbox
Yes. In no way would I suggest less any homemade anything, because this is very important to her. So it's not a. How do I tell her that I don't like the homemade. You don't. You love it. It's your favorite thing ever. But also, you need to figure out a way to bring up the topic of why don't we get one gift for each other? That's pretty practical. And you could do this. This is what I would do. Being the manipulative person that I am, I would Be like this.
Amy
Sounds fun.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Yeah. Manipulative is not always bad.
Amy
The greatest leaders in the world.
Lunchbox
Absolutely. The greatest leaders in the world. Some manipulative ads. I'm great. Right?
Producer
Okay.
Lunchbox
Anyway, this is what I would say. This is what I would say. I would say, hey, I. And I'm not sure if you make. But you're gonna have to a little work in here, buddy. You're gonna have to make a gift for her, first of all. So you're gonna go like this. Yeah. You're gonna go like this. Let's call her Missy. Missy. Can't wait for Christmas this year. I want to make you a gift as well. You always make me want to make you a little something. I'm not near as good at it, but I'm going to do it, too. And let's do a practical gift as well, because I want to get you something that I think you'd like as a gift. And we'll do the homemade and the practical. That way she feels seen. You got to put a little effort with making the gift. Oh, I would suck at that. And he probably does, too. That's okay. And then you're also going to get a gift because you're going to have that conversation. She does not feel judged or lesser than. As a matter of fact, she probably feels a bit celebrated. I think that's how I would do it. But that's not manipulation for bad. No, but you looked at me when I said that because you.
Amy
You. You go being the manipulative person that I am, like I was just saying. Oh, that sounds like. That sounds fun sometimes, maybe to deal with, like, in a relationship, depending on your heart. Right. Right here your heart is saying, like.
Lunchbox
It can be toxic, though, for sure.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Yeah. All of us can be. Especially all of you. Not me.
Amy
Yes, definitely. So I think that your idea is great.
Lunchbox
Thank you. Yeah, do that. It's going to take husband to Christmas elf. It's going to take a little work for you. You make a little something, get a little macaroni on paper plate, and this could be fun.
Amy
And years later, y'all are going to look back and see all the gifts that y'all made each other.
Lunchbox
I don't want to lie to him. It's not going to be fun for him.
Amy
I said fun. Later when you look back.
Lunchbox
Yeah. As you show your buddies. Look at it. I think you can do this, though. Make her feel extra special and then get a nice gift as well. That would be my advice. All right. Close that up. Jay from Orlando A while ago, you said someone was leaving the show. I don't know if I missed it. Can you update who is leaving the show? I had so many questions on my Instagram Q and A about the same thing. This is what I'll say. The person. I would say it's only like 70% now. It was 100%. I would say it's only like 70% now. They're leaving. I still think they're leaving, but they've also been lying to you guys internally about them not leaving. And I don't even want to look up because I don't want to look at anybody and you guys to think I'm making any indication at all. So I'm staying. Straight poker face.
Producer
It was 100.
Lunchbox
It was 100. I think it's still close to that. And I root for them, too. I hope they do not, because I want them to leave. I don't want to look at anybody.
Producer
But, yes, everyone's looking down.
Lunchbox
Everyone. I don't want to. So we.
Eddie
I'm looking around.
Lunchbox
Nothing has been revealed yet. That's all I can say for now. But thank you for asking, because that's a question I get asked a lot. Hit me with Leslie and her son Andrew, please.
Amy
We have a morning Corny for Amy. Where do you buy Christmas gifts for your pig?
Lunchbox
I don't know.
Amy
Where?
Lunchbox
Amazon. Boom. Amazon.
Producer
Amazon.
Lunchbox
Amazon. The Bible show. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Amy
So Jenna Hager Bush. She revealed the one word that NBC wouldn't let her say on the Today show.
Lunchbox
Is it.
Amy
No. No kidding.
Lunchbox
Is it mother?
Amy
No. But it did make me think of you, Bobby, because, you know, being from Arkansas with your accent and you took. What did you. You took, like, some special class to, like.
Lunchbox
I took speech pathology.
Amy
That's it.
Lunchbox
People that have, like, a brain. I have a brain accident, like, trauma or to get rid of an accent, and I work to get rid of an accent. Well, or maybe a little trauma, too. Yeah.
Amy
Well, Jenna being from Texas, she was like, yeah, I'm on the day show. Hey, y'all. And NBC was like, oh, yeah, welcome to the show. But we gotta eliminate y'all. And she's like, wait a second. You want me to pretend to be something that I'm not? She didn't like that.
Lunchbox
I kind of forget because she seems so normal that she's George Bush's daughter. Yeah. That's not a normal.
Amy
And Grandpa was president.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Amy
Like, yeah.
Lunchbox
And I know Amy knew the Bush is growing up because you went to high school with Them?
Amy
Yeah, we went to the same high school.
Lunchbox
They weren't the Hagers, because she got married into Hager.
Amy
Yeah, no, it was just Barbara and Jenna Bush.
Lunchbox
So Amy was, like, on the track team with them or something.
Amy
Jenna and I ran cross country together.
Lunchbox
Is that countless track?
Amy
It's different. We were doing it for our PE Credit.
Lunchbox
I guess there is no track. I just think of running. Yeah.
Eddie
Separate semesters.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Yeah.
Amy
We would just go before school, and I would have to call sometimes, like, wake her up, and I would literally. I'd be calling the governor's mansion, which was weird.
Lunchbox
That's crazy.
Amy
But they were very, very, very normal. Like, that was the cool part about them.
Lunchbox
Well, and what I was going to say, too, is that I forget. And I've spent some time with Jenna because, one, I've been a guest on the Today show a couple times, and I've hosted the Today show a few times. And so as a guest, Jenna was there and would, you know, interview me if I had a book or something. But she knew Amy, and I'd be like, amy says hi. Or she'd be like, tell Amy I said hi. She was so normal. You would never think she was like a president's kid or like a millionaire, because she is. And whenever I went and hosted the show, I hosted it with Hoda. But Jenna, this is what was crazy. She was somewhere in Europe. But it's when the queen died, and we had to go and do, like. And they didn't expect to have me on to do breaking news.
Producer
That's cool, though.
Lunchbox
But it's what it was. They were like, well, the queen just died, and I'm the guest host, and I have no problem. We talk about serious stuff all the time. But they didn't know that. And so I'm having to, like, throw to Jenna in England. Their. Their world was scared because here I am, I'm funny guy, and I'm like, all right, now let's go over to Jenna. So the death of the queen, how has that affected the royal? It was just a little bizarre for everybody.
Producer
Did you not want to do breaking news?
Lunchbox
Breaking news. I didn't have Ray there to push the button.
Producer
Okay.
Lunchbox
But Jenna's awesome. Yeah, she's really, really cool. All right, what else?
Amy
If you were looking for the best alcohol to drink.
Lunchbox
Yes.
Amy
Yeah, yeah, yeah. To avoid hangxiety. I keep seeing stories about hanxiety.
Lunchbox
I keep seeing people make up new things to have.
Amy
No, this is always.
Lunchbox
No, it could be, but it's like, now I have hang A Rexy Fat in my Ghana?
Amy
Oh, no, no. I even did a whole podcast about it last week because I keep seeing it everywhere. And people, they wake up with a hangover. But then sometimes if you have anxiety, you don't credit the alcohol for it. But there are certain types of alcohol that give you more anxiety the next day. And beer is actually on the list of something that you can have and it won't give you anxiety the next day. Yeah, and hard seltzer, that's on there too, I guess.
Lunchbox
Pop one right now for the first.
Amy
Time, the alcohol content in there is lower than other types of spirits. But the things you want to stay away from, red wine, brandy and whiskey, those are trouble.
Lunchbox
I feel like people just make up new things to have now, though. I'm sure that's true. It's a real thing and it's part of a hangover. But I feel like people are like they're finding little slivers of things inside of bigger issues now and going, I now have this. But that's cool. How about the anxiety, everybody? Good luck.
Producer
Great.
Lunchbox
Yeah, go ahead.
Amy
And if you are looking to feel better, look beautiful. I mean, this is another story I keep seeing more of. You gotta get your sleep. A lot of people are buying creams and doing all these procedures and whatnot, and they're like, oh, I want to look younger. When experts are saying, honestly, if you just got quality sleep every night, like, that is your true beauty sleep. Like it's a thing.
Lunchbox
I have been able to live a pretty good life because of the success of the show, but I will die early because of this show. The lack of sleep, the mornings part of it. I'm gonna die way early.
Amy
The thing is, though, it just means if you have to wake up early, you need to go to bed earlier.
Lunchbox
It doesn't work like that. I don't know if you've heard the news, but it doesn't work like that. Yeah, breaking news.
Amy
Trust me, I know. That's not possible. Especially we have a seventh grader.
Lunchbox
I know. I'm not even talking to our listeners. I'm just saying waking up in my career, it used to be like 2:30 in the morning. 3:30 in the morning. It is. I hate it. Anyway, I resigned.
Amy
Well, if you can figure out a way to do it. Good sleep will strengthen your hair.
Lunchbox
I open a beer for anxiety now after in this segment, and it just.
Amy
Helps your growth hormones repair all the cells. So try to do it.
Lunchbox
And sleep in water. You're right.
Amy
Yes. That's the Next thing that's on here, sleeping water. And I know it sounds easiest thing to avoid. I know, trivial, but it's like, oh, sleep in water and you'll feel so much better. All right, I'm Amy. That's my pile.
Lunchbox

It's time for the good news with Lunchbox. Tell me something good.
Eddie
There's this guy Sam in Canada. He decided he wanted to go on a 10 day hike. You know, camp in the wilderness. So he goes. After 12 days he hadn't come back. His family says hey, we got our kid missing. He's in this national park. Only problem? It's 200,000 acres, snow covered mountains can't find him anywhere. 50 days later, someone finds him on a trail.
Lunchbox
What do you mean finds him?
Eddie
He had been there. His car broke down. So then he camped by a river where he got water. Then he built a shelter in a dry creek bed because he couldn't get out of there. He was using walking sticks and he had a torn up sleeping bag that he was using to keep warm.
Lunchbox
What did he eat? I guess a little bit of food. Did he just like ration it out?
Eddie
Yeah, and then I guess he drank water from the river and things like that. And they took him to the hospital and he's going to make a full recovery. He did get a little hypothermia. It's cold and frostbite.
Lunchbox
That's crazy. And he's on a trail. Nobody walked that Tron 50 days? No, no.
Eddie
He was able to walk up to the trail finally when he heard someone and he walked to them. He was there for 50 days. And what is he? I mean, he has mentioned what he's eating.
Lunchbox
Is he catching fish, berries, Guys, like, raised by wolves. Now he's tartan. That's crazy. He's alive. That's a good story. That's a great story. That is what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. This is a story about Taylor Swift, who is exhausted and said she wants to take a year off to see, well, how things go with Travis Kelce and just get some rest because again, she hasn't been able to have a normal relationship. What's normal in her world anyway, but a normal relationship because she's been touring pretty much nonstop, massive shows all over the world. Not even just America. It's not even like she can go to Iowa and take a private flight back home for the night for a show in two days. Like, she's in Tokyo and Europe and her boyfriend is playing football every week in different cities. So Taylor Swift says she's looking forward some downtime. Good for her. That's from Page Six. So let's say, though, I said to you guys, take a year off of the radio show.
Producer
Oh, you serious?
Eddie
Are you for real? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm down.
Producer
Yeah, that'd be great.
Amy
But to do what?
Lunchbox
This is hypothetical losers, okay?
Producer
To do whatever we want, right?
Lunchbox
So Taylor Swift says she wants to take a year off to see how things go with Travis Kelce. That's her thing. She's going to do and have some life. If I said, hey, take a year off from the radio show, Amy, you get a year off from the radio show. You come back in a year. What would you do?
Amy
Oh, man, I would garden. You know, that's my big thing right now. I would garden. Am I. Do I still get money?
Lunchbox
Well, yeah, I don't. You're like Taylor Swift. You have money. Oh, so it's in play. You're not making a whole ton, but it's what you have. It's what you get paid normally.
Amy
Oh, gosh. I'm gonna go to Paris and I'm gonna live there like Emily.
Producer
Emily in Paris.
Amy
Emily in Paris with my garden.
Lunchbox
So you're gonna garden in Paris?
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
What about your kids?
Eddie
That's where it gets difficult, because, again.
Amy
This is real life.
Lunchbox
No, no, no, it's real life. The hypothetical thing is what you get to do.
Amy
All right, kids, you're studying abroad for a year. You know what? They know a little bit of French.
Lunchbox
Okay? They are Haitian. Haitian, yeah.
Amy
Creole French. They're the same, but different.
Lunchbox
Eddie.
Producer
Oh, I'm gonna play golf every day. I am going to go fishing after I play golf. Then I'll go pick up my kids from school, and then we'll go probably go bowling every day, some after school activity, and then I'm gonna pick up steaks and I'm gonna grill at night, and then I'm gonna go to bed, maybe watch a movie while I go to bed and then wake up and what do I want to do the next day? I'm gonna do anything I want, and it's gonna be amazing.
Lunchbox
So for you, it's retirement for a year.
Producer
Yeah.
Lunchbox
So you still get your normal paycheck. It's not like you get anything extra or anything less, but you still get your normal paycheck. Lunchbox.
Eddie
Oh, man, I'm gonna travel. Like. I mean, listen, the kid, my oldest kid is in kindergarten. You don't really learn much in kindergarten. So it's not really that important for him to be at kindergarten. Like, you are just learning your ABCs, and he kind of knows ABCs. So I will homeschool him for that year, and we will go see the world. And I mean, just relax on beaches and on top of mountains. And I don't even know what's on the other side of the world. I don't know where I want to go, because I never thought about that, but I'd go the other side of the world and just check it out.
Lunchbox
Other side of the world?
Eddie
Yeah, man, check it.
Lunchbox
What's, like, one place you'd like to go even if you don't even know what it Is. But it just sounds cool.
Eddie
Just Europe sounds cool. Like Italy sounds cool. Portugal.
Lunchbox
That sounds really cool because the names.
Eddie
Portugal sounds really good.
Lunchbox
Portugal, yeah.
Amy
Croatia.
Lunchbox
That's a fun one to say.
Eddie
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Zimbabwe.
Eddie
Argentina.
Lunchbox
That sounds.
Amy
Wow. You're going everywhere.
Eddie
I'm saying Barcelona.
Amy
Come visit me in Paris.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Now we're just picking fun places to say more than like that's what I'm saying.
Eddie
For a year. I wouldn't have any responsibility. It be so amazing.
Lunchbox
And it cost a lot of money though.
Amy
Well, but you said we had money.
Lunchbox
No, no, you just get your normal paycheck.
Producer
Your money.
Eddie
That's okay.
Lunchbox
Normal paycheck.
Eddie
Cuz once you get over to Europe it's easy to get around. Right.
Lunchbox
It's cheap, it's cheaper, everything's smaller. It's not like this because then I'll.
Eddie
Rent out my house here. So I'll make money.
Amy
Like you can take a train, flights.
Eddie
And here's the cool part is my in laws are retired. Tell them to come with us. Even though they're. I mean that'd be kind of annoying. But they wait. They can watch the kids and me and my wife can go do adventures.
Lunchbox
Mm. Okay.
Amy
Come back broke Bobby's. Like I would keep.
Lunchbox
I'd focus on 25 Whistles podcast. Like I'd do it every day.
Amy
Right.
Lunchbox
I'd build that sucker up. Oh. I mean that's what I would do. I would work on other things. So I have. The other revenue streams are still like the things I'm passionate about.
Amy
I know but let's just. I thought that we were like eliminating like you're taking off from work.
Producer
Well, that is his.
Lunchbox
I would take off from doing this show. That's what I would do. I would do other things. I would build on the YouTube channel. I would be like how much fun that would be to just focus on the digital part of the job. That'd be awesome.
Amy
Well, do you know why I wanted to focus on gardening?
Lunchbox
I don't.
Amy
I told you. I'm trying to build up my value for if there something happens in the world, I need to have value.
Lunchbox
Zombies.
Producer
We get vegetables from you.
Amy
Oh gosh, listen.
Lunchbox
She's building up the apocalypse.
Amy
I don't really think that's gonna happen. But I, if, if I want to be picked on the team like you.
Lunchbox
Know, I'd sleep in though every day because I've been waking up at 3:30 in the morning since I've been 22 years old. But Taylor, have fun with your year off.
Producer
Sounds awesome.
Lunchbox
That sounds Miserable. Though it does sound miserable.
Amy
She'll probably still. She may write about her.
Lunchbox
I'm talking about for me. For her. I'm sure that's awesome. That would be terrible. Yeah.
Producer
Your break was more work.
Lunchbox
I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. Eddie tried to donate bone marrow. At least you went to talk about it.
Producer
Yeah. I told you guys that by the end of the year, I was going to inquire. Donate.
Lunchbox
Don't act like you have volunteered. We had to beat you into submission to go do it.
Producer
Okay, I forgot about it. But you guys reminded me, so I went and I inquired and I found out what the situation was.
Lunchbox
Where did you go?
Producer
My sister. She's a. She's a nurse. So I went with her and said, hey.
Lunchbox
You went with her? Did you just call her?
Producer
No, she was in town. She was in town. So I said, hey, what do I do if I want to donate bone marrow? And she laughed at me. She says, you don't just go donate bone marrow, idiot. Like, you get in a registry, and then if somebody needs bone marrow, they look in the registry and they say, okay, let's try this guy. See if he's a match. And then if you're a match, you have to do a transfusion in the same room, like, goes from your bone to their bone.
Lunchbox
Okay?
Producer
I said, okay, cool. Sign me up. I want to be on the registry. And she says, you're over 40. You can't do it. And I did. I went to the website, I put my name in there, put my birthday, and it went too old. So 40's the cutoff man.
Amy
It is, yeah. Oh, man, that's a shame.
Lunchbox
And you're being completely honest.
Producer
Completely honest. I went to the website, I tried. I tried to hit submit, and it said, no, you're too old.
Lunchbox
It said, no. Okay, now that's hyperbole, because it didn't just yell, no, you're cold.
Amy
But that's crazy that at 40, you're like, if there's a need for something, you think that, too. And maybe there's just too much testing that would have to go on or whatever, but you would think, like, your biological age might not be 40, so your bone marrow could still be awesome.
Lunchbox
Research shows that cells from younger donors lead to more successful transplants. And what happens is when your bone marrow. Over 40, it's not that.
Amy
Got it.
Lunchbox
That bone marrow isn't effective. Sometimes it just isn't effective at all.
Amy
Okay.
Lunchbox
Like, I'm sorry it's not less effective. It just Isn't effective at all sometimes. And the transfusion doesn't work.
Amy
No. I was just really hoping there was maybe a way to get Eddie qualified.
Lunchbox
No.
Producer
And it's unfortunate because I really wanted to donate bone marrow.
Lunchbox
Man. Okay. Stop lying though. We had to beat you to do. But I'm glad you finally checked. Okay.
Eddie
Okay. Hold on. I'm not believing it.
Lunchbox
Good.
Eddie
The National Marrow Donor Program accepts donations between the ages of 18 and 60. They focus on recruiting people 18 to 40, but you can do it up to 60.
Amy
Okay.
Lunchbox
If you can still be matched with a patient. If you're over 40, potential donors remain on the registry until 61.
Amy
Okay, so hold on. Maybe the point is they got on the list before they were 40.
Producer
Correct. I can't jump on it at 45.
Amy
Okay.
Producer
So good try lunchbox. I tried my best. Can't do it.
Lunchbox
Here's the thing. One, you're lying. You didn't try your best. You just. I talked to your sister. Two, I'm gonna. From what I'm reading that UCLA helps. Hold on. It seems to check out if there are any listeners that actually have a background in this one. Leave us a voicemail about it. They can.
Producer
Yeah, I'm all ears.
Lunchbox
I'm not gonna let them just yell some stuff from the Internet because I also see stuff on the Internet. And we'll be here all day. Thank you for checking. But your ears are still slightly open in case we find.
Producer
Absolutely. And I'm bumping the voice.
Lunchbox
You're doing the voice of your line. But. Okay. Bones. Men or women? Who has more financial secrets? Who keeps them? And then. Why do you think that is? Amy? So I'm gonna go to you, Sophia, to pick one. Who. Which. Which sex? And then why.
Amy
I feel like society would like us to believe that it's women because we get a bad rap of, like, shopping and having to hide things or maybe having bank accounts for just in case, like, a rainy day. We need to get out.
Lunchbox
Are you. Are you projecting?
Amy
This is awesome.
Lunchbox
That is pure projection. This is what I do. But go ahead.
Amy
Nope.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Amy
So I'm gonna say based on that being maybe a stereotype situation, that it is men. Because y'all. Y'all are betting all the time. And again.
Lunchbox
Project. I bet you gamble about the dudes in here too. Everything is in room.
Amy
She's talking about alcohol.
Producer
Whoa.
Amy
I just feel like there's a lot that y'all spend money on that you're hiding.
Producer
And we're not sneaking the alcohol.
Amy
How much you have spent or How? How much?
Lunchbox
According to the findings of an online survey by a personal finance company, which is WalletHub, 77% more men have financial secrets compared to women. WalletHub also found that one of four people said they lied about money all the time. Secrets were kept about different financial matters such as large purchases, income, savings, credit score, debt, job status, inappropriate purchases, and a whole bunch more. A question for Lunchbox. If you were to buy something like subscribe to like an OnlyFans account or buy something, do they list it as that on your credit card? Can you get.
Eddie
I have no idea, man.
Lunchbox
Okay, sure.
Eddie
I have no idea how they list that. I would assume they listed as only fans. I mean because that's the name of the business. Unless they have where they can list it as.
Lunchbox
But they do in a lot, a lot of places. When you buy stuff online, they can list it as other things so you don't get caught.
Producer
Really? Yeah.
Lunchbox
Onlyfans may still be listed as onlyfans. But shade. I have a friend that bought and there's a documentary now that the Girls Gone Wild. It wasn't listed Girls Gone Wild. It was listed as like media DVD purchase. So. So the person wouldn't know they're looking at legit. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Eddie
I wouldn't know.
Lunchbox
One in 10Americans fill their partners. Okay. Didn't have a right to know how much money they have.
Amy
One in 10American, they didn't have a right.
Lunchbox
I know. And the same proportion felt that their spouses had a debt, they wouldn't help pay it off. What about this one affects the like the debt thing. If I have a debt, that affects my wife. Yeah. And credit score.
Eddie
But that's how Eddie felt.
Lunchbox
No, no, but Eddie wasn't married.
Producer
It was right before we got married when I told my father in law like hey, she has debt. Can you clear that before we get married?
Lunchbox
That's pretty baller move to do.
Producer
Oh, I just asked.
Lunchbox
Now he's a baller move.
Producer
He said which is crazy. He said. You know what, that's awesome. You asked me. Yes, I'll do that.
Lunchbox
Men are more likely to keep secrets about expensive electronic purchases, alcohol, gambling.
Amy
Shut up. I didn't mean to hit the table. Sorry, I got excited about that.
Lunchbox
Women are more likely to hide clothes and cosmetics.
Producer
Okay, what are we gangsters?
Lunchbox
No, Amy just listed everything that was happening here.
Amy
No, I just.
Lunchbox
Yeah, it's like the prohibition, you know.
Amy
What is that? See what you say, say what you see right or what is it?
Lunchbox
That's just you seeing those guys over There, though. Keep me out of there. This stupid game where I sing the first, like, word or note of a song is next. If I were to do this. Amy, I'm only asking you on this one. Ow.
Amy
Ow.
Lunchbox
What song is that?
Amy
One more time out, Eddie.
Producer
Out there in the country, it's a boot scoop boogie.
Lunchbox
Out in the country, past the city limits. All right, lunchbox, see if you can do this one.
Eddie
Yeah, I had the last one.
Lunchbox
How about this?
Eddie
I saw a little silhouette. Galamouche. Galamouche.
Amy
Want you to know.
Lunchbox
Atlantis, Morissette. You ought to know.
Producer
Yeah, baby.
Amy
Thanks. Well, I didn't get out.
Lunchbox
Okay, one more. How about this one? Okay, how about this one?
Producer
Jose on a vacation far away. What's that song called?
Eddie
Oh, Jeremiah was bullfrog.
Producer
No, no, no chance.
Lunchbox
It's you're loved by the outfield. Oh, I would have never got the song. We would have got. But that's a good one though. Jeremiah's bullfrog. That's not that one. That's a different song.
Producer
Do that one.
Lunchbox
Which part? Jeremiah.
Producer
There you go.
Lunchbox
We'll play the game next.
Bobby Bones

This is an example. If I go imagine.
Amy
Imagine all the people, right?
Lunchbox
That would be imaginal. It would be the song. Imagine. Yeah, so that one, too. I'll do one more example for the listeners out there. Don't yell it out quite yet. Okay.
Amy
Tumble out of bed.
Lunchbox
I said don't say it. Yeah.
Producer
Let our listeners beat Amy.
Amy
So I thought I gave it a beat.
Lunchbox
That's true. She did give it a beat.
Eddie
And she hasn't said the song yet.
Lunchbox
No, but she sang it. Okay. I was just one of the listeners.
Amy
They're like, I go beat.
Lunchbox
Sorry, it's Monday. We're drunk.
Eddie
Okay, what was the name?
Producer
That would have been 9 to 5.
Lunchbox
Tumble out of bed and then stumbled to the kitchen. But all I said was tumble. Okay, got it, got it. Okay, ready? Don't miss it. Here we go. And you want to write the name of the song down. Here we go. 2. Oh, and if nobody gets this one, I'll give you one more little part. But that's. That's elite level.
Producer
I'm in.
Lunchbox
2. I almost feel like I should give you the hint.
Producer
No, no, no, no. Leave it, leave it.
Lunchbox
You don't want the hint?
Producer
No, we don't need it.
Eddie
I need it. I know I can hear the song.
Amy
But no, I don't think.
Lunchbox
One more time.
Eddie
Two.
Lunchbox
Can you name that? Five seconds. Time. Lunchbox. What do you have?
Eddie
Time of your life.
Lunchbox
Amy.
Amy
Wonderwall.
Lunchbox
Eddie.
Producer
Wonder Wall.
Lunchbox
Wonder Wall.
Amy
Today is gonna be the day.
Producer
You wanted to give us today.
Lunchbox
I want to give you today. But you voted out. Lunchbox is now out of the game. You voted Lunchbox out. Basically.
Amy
You too.
Producer
See you, dude.
Lunchbox
Next up.
Amy
Yo, I'm in.
Lunchbox
Wow. Okay, let's do it again. Here we go. Next. And yo, can you name that song?
Producer
I'm in.
Lunchbox
Amy.
Amy
Wannabe.
Lunchbox
Eddie.
Producer
Wannabe.
Lunchbox
Wannabe. Spice Girls. Yo, I tell you what I want. What I really, really want. That's crazy. Good job, Good job. Maybe I'm getting better, too.
Amy
Okay, I think you are.
Lunchbox
Next up, Will.
Amy
And then you go and do that.
Lunchbox
I gotta get in the right place. I gotta get in the right frame of mind, Will.
Amy
Oh, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Lunchbox
Hey, watch me while I do it. Watch while I do it.
Amy
No, no, no.
Lunchbox
Now I have.
Amy
Watch me whip. Watch me na, na. You can't do that.
Lunchbox
Watch me while I Do it. Watch me.
Amy
Whip.
Lunchbox
No. Watch me while I do it. Amy, you want a hint or not?
Amy
This is my brain.
Lunchbox
Watch me while I do it. Ready?
Amy
Stop saying watch me.
Lunchbox
Okay, I'm not doing it. Amy, just run the head.
Producer
No. Come on.
Lunchbox
We need the hint. No, no, no. She's running the head.
Amy
We're not gonna rude.
Lunchbox
I kept saying, watch me, and she kept doing whipping ne.
Amy
Well, okay, I'm in. Sorry if I.
Lunchbox
That I'm. I was trying to give you a hit. You get fighting with the hint.
Amy
I understand that. I go, how do you fight love?
Lunchbox
Exactly.
Producer
I'm in.
Lunchbox
That's therapy. Why do you fight love? Why do you fight love given to you? Did they tell you that you reject love? No. She was really rejecting love, though. What do you have, Amy?
Amy
Heartbreak Hotel.
Lunchbox
No, but you were right. You were close. What is it, Eddie?
Producer
Heartbreak Hotel.
Lunchbox
Well, it's one for the money, two full of the show.
Amy
Okay, but that's why she is a little tricky, because it's like, well, since my baby left me, but it's not the answer.
Lunchbox
And I said, if you would have looked at me, I would have did.
Amy
This well, but then I still would have been, well, since my baby, because.
Lunchbox
I was doing fingers, one for the money and two for the show.
Amy
Oh, I wouldn't get that.
Producer
Well, I got a woman.
Lunchbox
Oh, goodness. Okay, well, that one sucks. Okay, that's my fault. You're still in. Here we go. Next up near. Here it is again. Near Amy.
Producer
Amy's struggling.
Amy
No, I know. I have it. I have it mad.
Lunchbox
Now when she does it, I know. It scares me.
Amy
Oh, I'm not mad.
Lunchbox
Oh, you're mad. Three seconds.
Amy
Wherever you are.
Lunchbox
Answer.
Amy
Wow.
Producer
It's my heart will go on near.
Lunchbox
Far, wherever you are.
Amy
I needed, like, five more seconds.
Lunchbox
Let me give you one more, just for spits and giggles. Watch. You can get on this one, too. Good.
Eddie
Yes. I've been pouring over here.
Lunchbox
Here we go, baby.
Producer
Shoots.
Lunchbox
Here we go, baby. Five seconds. Dang.
Producer
This is wrong. I'm in.
Lunchbox
I mean, you've already won, so you're good.
Producer
Yeah, but I really wanted to show off.
Lunchbox
Amy.
Amy
I don't have the song. I have it. I know. I log them doors and throw them.
Lunchbox
Lunch, Download, lunchbox, Soft and slow.
Producer
Eddie, Is it called your Man?
Lunchbox
It is. Wow.
Amy
Justin.
Lunchbox
Hold on. Let me sing it like, it's like the baby maybe. Lock them doors and turn them lights down low.
Amy
Yeah, you nailed the baby.
Lunchbox
No, you can't remember, friend. Now you're already angry. You know who you are.
Producer
You're still red.
Lunchbox
You were Draymond Green in that game, and I'm the ref.
Amy
I'm just saying.
Lunchbox
You got me. But Eddie wins.
Amy
I wasn't mad. I just couldn't.
Lunchbox
You kept yelling, I don't want to look at it.
Amy
Every time you say a new word, a different song pops in my head.
Lunchbox
That's not my. That's not me. That's you.
Producer
So when he says, one more time, do you think, like, baby, one more time?
Amy
No, she's going crazy.
Lunchbox
Let's go. It's time for the good news with producer Eddie. Tell me something good.
Producer
A lot of people say the Internet's a bad place. A lot of negative people on the Internet. Well, not this place. This is a Reddit thread called Bald, and there's over 143,000 people in this thread, and it's all about supporting bald men. So if you're a bald person, you post your picture of your thinning hair and you say, hey, guys, what should I do? Should I keep it? Shave it all? And then people comment, no, man, you look really good. Keep it. Or, dude, just let it go. And then once you shave it, you're like, what do you think? And, dude, it's great. I've been on this thing all day, and there are a lot of people out there that are vulnerable, putting their pictures out there, and a lot of support from other dudes.
Lunchbox
I'm surprised. But what's gonna happen is this is gonna get popular and the support will go away, and it'll be toxic like everything else. Oh, we hope not.
Producer
Think about that.
Lunchbox
I like that there's somewhere you can go and be like, how does my head look?
Producer
I'm thinking about putting my picture up there. My bald head.
Lunchbox
Dude, your head looks great.
Amy
Yeah?
Lunchbox
Yeah. But you need to. You need to shave it down a little bit. Well, sometimes you let it go.
Producer
Sure.
Lunchbox
Run out of time sometimes.
Producer
Yeah, that's it.
Lunchbox
Yeah, that's. I mean, literally, you have a great shaped head. I'm jealous of the shape of your head. Like, if you're bald, you want that head.
Producer
My head.
Lunchbox
That's the head you want.
Producer
I appreciate that.
Lunchbox
That's the head.
Producer
See, like, I've liked my bald head so much that when my brother was here for Thanksgiving, I said, dude, shave it. And we shaved his head. He loves it.
Lunchbox
Not everybody's got a head like yours. Everybody. I'm telling you. You're so lucky.
Producer
You're making me feel weird.
Lunchbox
No, I'm telling you. Good story. What's it called again, just bald.
Producer
Bald on Reddit.
Amy
Okay, so load it up.
Lunchbox
R. Bald. R Bald.
Producer
That's right.
Lunchbox
All right, load it up.
Amy
You should load it up and then tell us what he. What feedback he gets.
Producer
See what kind of support I get.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I'm giving you enough. You don't need to go anymore. It's a great head. All right, There you go. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. Go over to Amy and get in the morning corny. The morning corny.
Amy
Why does Santa have so many gardens?
Lunchbox
Why?
Amy
So he can. Ho, ho, ho.
Lunchbox
That was the morning corny. Everybody have Christmas stuff up somewhere now?
Amy
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lunchbox
Eddie was kind of busting my chops because I don't have any lights out of the outside of my house. Yeah.
Producer
My mom asked me for some reason, like, we were driving by your house, and she goes, huh, Bobby doesn't have lights up. Like, when's he gonna put that up? It's like, almost Christmas.
Lunchbox
Well, first of all, your mom needs to relax, know her role.
Producer
Right?
Lunchbox
Get in her lane. We have them inside the house. We're pretty inside.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
And then in the backyard a little bit. But we don't do outside.
Producer
You're not stringing lights in the bushes and stuff. Okay.
Lunchbox
We did a couple of years ago, and either somebody kept messing with them, or, like, one light went out and they take out a whole thing.
Producer
It's the worst.
Lunchbox
Or somebody was, like, unscrewing one light and messing up the whole thing.
Amy
Oh, you feel like you were being messed with?
Lunchbox
Oh, targeted, maybe. Of all the targets, that's the least targeted I've ever felt. But we were just like, look, inside the house. We have it. We're full. I showed my Christmas tree on my Instagram story. But yeah, no outside lights.
Producer
You do lights in your bedroom, like, to make it, like, cool?
Lunchbox
Nah, we have a little Christmas, like, a tiny tree in the bedroom.
Producer
Oh, that's cool.
Lunchbox
But we have no lights outside, so tell your mom. First of all, relax.
Producer
I'll tell her.
Lunchbox
Secondly, no. But yes, inside. And we have some in the backyard, like, around big trees. But that's just for us.
Producer
No inflatables.
Lunchbox
Not yet.
Producer
Did you get your Grinch inflatable that you wanted for the house?
Lunchbox
No, but here's what we have. We have two nutcrackers on the front door that I keep thinking of. Real humans. And I lost my cheese Danish.
Producer
Right?
Lunchbox
Yeah. Amy. Yeah.
Amy
I'm all Christmas out. Like, we're good. I don't have lights but yeah, Grinch for my son. Wreaths. Let's see a Christmas tree inside. That's it. Garland. I hung garland.
Producer
Oh, that's cool.
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
What is garland?
Amy
Very adult.
Lunchbox
It's the green thing.
Amy
It's the green stuff like that you.
Eddie
Yeah.
Lunchbox
We probably put fake ones up if we got to pick, but I'm sure hers are.
Amy
Mine's fake. No, it is. Looks real.
Lunchbox
That's all matter.
Producer
You know, you can go to the Christmas tree place and ask for, like, a bunch of stuff, and that could be your garland.
Lunchbox
I didn't know that. Don't care. Okay. And that is the end of the first half of the podcast.
Producer
That is the end of the first.
Lunchbox
Half of the podcast. That is the end of the first half of the podcast. That is the end of the first half of the podcast. You can go to podcast two or you can wait till podcast to come out.

Amy
I think a lot of people think that you're supposed to be going to therapy once you're like having panic attacks every day. But before you get to that point, I think once you start even noticing that you feel a little bit off and you can't maintain this harmony that you once had in relationships, that could be a sign that maybe you want to go talk to somebody. There's always a benefit in talking to someone because we can all benefit from improved insight about ourselves and who we are and how we behave with other people. So if you're human, that's like a good indicator that you could benefit from talking to somebody.
