What's up? It's me, Don Toliver. If I could describe the open earbud, I would describe it as very seamless. It's like you clipping onto your ear and then sometimes you can forget it's there but it's not going anywhere because it's like clipped. It's kind of crazy. If I could bring my music with me wherever I go, it just make life easier and seamless without interruption. To be able to have the music on hand like that without any interruptions would be great. Eddie
This.
Bobby Bones
This is the Bobby Bones.
We asked our listeners, Amy, who the sexiest man in country music is, because they did the sexiest man alive. People magazine did. You know People turn that down. Like, you have to agree to be the sexiest man.
Amy
Why would they turn it down, though?
Bobby Bones
Because they just don't want the title. Like, Glenn Powell supposedly was one they were going for. And rumor he didn't want it. But over the past years, Ryan Gosling, Jason Momoa, Keanu Reeves have all said, no, thanks, I don't want to be the sexiest man alive.
Amy
Wow.
Bobby Bones
Hey, all of us here, we'd love that.
Eddie
I'll take it. Yeah, in a heartbeat.
Bobby Bones
Thank you. But I do have the sexiest men in country music. The top 10. I just wonder how many you can name.
Eddie
Okay, this is your list.
Bobby Bones
No, it is not my list. Go ahead.
Amy
George Raitt.
Bobby Bones
No, he's not gonna. No.
Amy
What? He's so hot.
Eddie
Amy thinks that, though.
Bobby Bones
Okay, but I'm talking about general people.
Amy
General people. I thought he'd make the top 10. He is a cowboy.
Bobby Bones
Maybe it's an age thing.
Amy
Okay, let me back up.
Bobby Bones
Maybe it's an age thing.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Okay, you missed that one. I'm gonna go to Morgan now. Morgan, you go.
Amy
Warren Ziders.
Bobby Bones
Maybe it's an age thing. He's ripped, though.
Amy
I was gonna say though.
Bobby Bones
I don't think he does. He is, but I don't think he is famous enough.
Amy
Got it. Okay.
Bobby Bones
Although he is famous. I'm not saying he's not a future star. Amy, back over to you, Sam Hunt. At number two on the list is Sam Hunt. Amy, still with you.
Amy
Morgan Wallen.
Bobby Bones
At number three is Morgan Wallen. Is Morgan Wallen. If he was a dude at Costco, would he be hot?
Amy
I don't know. How old is he? Because I feel weird.
Bobby Bones
I don't think he's so young. You have to feel weird.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I think he's got to be in the 30s, right?
Amy
Yeah, I think he's around my age. Oh, cool.
Bobby Bones
If Morgan wallows while I was at Costco, Morgan, would he be hot?
Amy
I don't know. Cause I've seen pictures of him like a normal dude at the bars, and it's. I think the appeal of Morgan is the entire thing that is Morgan versus him as a. If he would be like a normal.
Bobby Bones
Human being, as someone whose entire thing is the appeal of themselves, like myself. I can understand. I can understand that. Morgan's 31. Okay. So, Amy, you're still up 31.
Amy
Okay. Let's see. Golly.
Bobby Bones
Oh.
Amy
See?
Bobby Bones
Five seconds.
Amy
Oh, Dustin Lynch.
Bobby Bones
Incorrect. Oh, Morgan.
Amy
Yeah. Okay. Oh, Tim McGraw.
Bobby Bones
Tim McGraw's on the list at number four.
Amy
You. But I didn't have Tim because George wasn't on there.
Bobby Bones
George Straight's probably 15 years older than Tim. I imagine George straight's in his 70s, and Tim's in his 50s.
Amy
That is true. You're accurate in that. But I just thought they were both hot in the 90s.
Bobby Bones
And Tim McGirl is still, like, ripped.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah.
Amy
George.
Bobby Bones
George is 72.
Amy
George is not ripped. He looks the same now.
Bobby Bones
Saying anything about George, but Tim McGraw still ripped at 57. Okay. Tim McGraw. Yes. Morgan, did you say that again?
Amy
Okay, I come.
Bobby Bones
Okay, it's still over to Morgan. Go ahead. Oh, Luke Bryan did not make the list. Oh, okay. We have one more round. Amy's up two to one.
Amy
Keith Urban.
Bobby Bones
Keith Urban did make the list at number five. Amy, three to one.
Amy
Blake Shelton.
Bobby Bones
Blake Shelton at number nine. Wasn't.
Amy
He was sexiest man legit.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And everybody thought that they were being mean to Blake because everybody thought it was a joke at first when he made it. Yeah, that was messed up. Yeah. Amy. Yeah. Three seconds. Brett Eldridge did not make it. No. Okay, Morgan, you need three to tie. There's only five left. The number one answer is still on the board. Sexiest man alive in country music. Morgan, what can you do here?
Amy
Gosh. The number one is still there.
Bobby Bones
One is still on the board.
Amy
There's somebody that. I'm intense.
Advertisement Voice
Oh, Riley Green.
Bobby Bones
Number one.
Amy
Yeah. I could picture it, and I couldn't come up with his name.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I don't know what you're picturing, but good for you.
Amy
No, like all the workout videos he posts by his butt.
Bobby Bones
Whatever you got. Whatever you got going on in your head. Hey, go get it. Go ahead. Can you get two of the next four?
Amy
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
So on the list are Riley Green at one, Sam Hunt at two, Morgan Wallen at three, Tim mcgraw at four, Keith Urban at five, Blake Shelton at nine.
Amy
So we got six, seven. Oh, okay.
Bobby Bones
Six, seven, eight, and ten.
Amy
Kane Brown.
Bobby Bones
Kane Brown didn't make the list. Number ten.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
You need one more to tie the game. 3 left, 6, 7, and 8. Sexiest Manic country music. Is there any.
Amy
Oh. Oh, is it? I. I don't know if I'm allowed, but could they be in bands?
Bobby Bones
Well, we don't really allow questions, but the answer is no. Okay.
Amy
I didn't. You know, individuals.
Bobby Bones
Is there a whole band of hotties somewhere I don't know about?
Amy
Well, there's like, yeah, there's hot guys.
Bobby Bones
They're all.
Eddie
They're all hot, man.
Bobby Bones
I'd get with them all. Morgan, I need to answer. You have three left.
Amy
I'm like, Brooks and done.
Bobby Bones
Luke Holmes ain't been there. Luke comes. No. Did not make the list. So, Amy, you are the winner, right? There's really no prize, but I can share the other three with you.
Amy
Oh, good, because this is gonna feel weird saying that. I just feel weird saying, like, I had Thomas Rhett on here, but that feels weird.
Bobby Bones
What does?
Amy
He didn't make the last Married with Kids. And you can still be sexy.
Bobby Bones
Look at Eddie.
Eddie
Yeah, man. Married with lots of kids.
Amy
I'm pretty sure most of those on the list. I guess Sam Hunt's married with k. Like Tim McGraw. I know. What?
Bobby Bones
Just.
Amy
I don't know. Tr just feels more.
Eddie
Don't stop.
Bobby Bones
We don't know what you're feeling either.
Amy
So I'm not feeling anything.
Bobby Bones
What's been in that?
Amy
Maybe. I don't know.
Bobby Bones
On the list, Parker McCollum.
Amy
Oh, yeah. Oh, duh. He's dying, lady.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
He's married with a baby.
Bobby Bones
Dang. But that's just Kenny Chesney.
Amy
Yeah. Okay. Yes.
Bobby Bones
See, because her tone is so positive towards some. When it's done like that, you know exactly what she's feeling. And that was. She does not agree.
Amy
I'm not. I'm mad. I didn't.
Bobby Bones
You just heard it.
Amy
No, people love Kenny. I agree. No, no, no.
Bobby Bones
You said people. You're not fooling us.
Lunchbox
No.
Bobby Bones
And JK Is at number eight.
Amy
Oh, J.
Bobby Bones
Now she's trying to block down the middle. Of course. Of course.
Amy
No, remember that one time Kenny said something. I don't know what he said.
Bobby Bones
I just. Trying to go back to Kenny, like, cover those faces. Yes. Yes. Okay. Thank, Amy. Thank you. You did good, Amy. You won.
Amy
He's older, though, huh?
Lunchbox
Kenny.
Bobby Bones
Probably McGraw's age. They're probably around seven.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Keeps himself in shape. Are you trying to make an excuse now?
Amy
Yeah, he does.
Bobby Bones
50 cents. All right, time for the news. Bobby's big stories from CBS News. There were no injuries, but a Southwest plane got hit by gunfire while sitting on the tarmac in Dallas on Friday. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Southwest Airlines Flight 2494 was preparing for departure to Indianapolis when a bullet apparently struck the right side of the aircraft under the flight deck. The airline said no one was hurt. Dallas police confirmed the incident. No other details were provided on the circumstances of the incident. You wonder if somebody was. Cause I've been to that airport a bunch of times. There's some woods around it. I wonder if somebody was shooting in the woods or if somebody was trying to shoot somebody.
Eddie
Is this Love Field?
Bobby Bones
Southwest, I would assume. Yeah. Yes. Yeah.
Amy
The only one they're in and out of and, like. And for it to hit the flight deck, like, right where the pilot. I don't know. I feel like you're specifically aiming right at the plane.
Bobby Bones
Did it hit right where the pilots were?
Amy
Well, that's the flight deck. That's the cockpit. Oh, it's the PC term now, I think.
Bobby Bones
But there were no injuries. We struck by gunfire. Did I say flight deck, or did you read that?
Amy
You said flight deck.
Bobby Bones
I guess I didn't know what that was.
Amy
Yeah. So that's the front part of the plane where the pilots are inside on a pilot.
Bobby Bones
You're right. If that's what that means.
Amy
I think just for people that feel uncomfortable with the other word. But that's not what that word means. But it's called cockpit. But it's like.
Bobby Bones
No, I mean, I'm spending time thinking about. Yeah, I think now someone was aiming for the plane. If it actually hit that part of the plane.
Eddie
Yeah, because it's in the middle of the city. Like, it's not out in the woods.
Bobby Bones
Are you sure?
Eddie
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Dallas.
Eddie
Love Field is in the middle of Dallas.
Bobby Bones
There's no woods around it. What about the other one?
Eddie
Oh, that one's further fd. What?
Bobby Bones
Okay, that's what I'm thinking of.
Eddie
Dfw.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay. Well, yeah, that sucks. Luckily, nobody was hit. Philadelphia man. Speaking of airlines. And I don't know which story's worse. I'm being honest, I do. But hot tea spilled and burnt and disfigured his penis.
Lunchbox
Oh, no. Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think this one's worse.
Amy
Oh, God.
Lunchbox
This is so much worse.
Bobby Bones
A Philadelphia man, Shawn Miller, has filed a lawsuit against Frontier Airlines after suffering third degree burns and permanent scarring on his genitals when he spilled a cup of hot tea on his lap. Now, let's go through the story. It does say when he spilled a cup of high tea. The incident occurred September 20 while he was flying home from Myrtle Beach. The tea was filled to the brim. It caused severe burns on his penis and testicles, leading to discoloration, loss of sensation. He's 56. He was unable to escape the pain due to the cramped seating on the plane and was trapped, left in agony until the plane landed in Philadelphia. He was immediately rushed to the burn center.
Amy
Wow.
Bobby Bones
In addition to the burns, he claims the incident caused a herniated disc. He is seeking $150,000 in damages for his injuries. Yeah, this is from the New York Post. But again, it says when he spilled a cup of hot tea on his.
Amy
Lap, but it was filled to the brim.
Bobby Bones
Okay, but if it were able to land and be put in front of you and he spilled it on himself, when are we ever gonna take responsibility for our own actions?
Amy
Now, I agree, but on an airplane, maybe we shouldn't fill to the brim.
Bobby Bones
Show me the. Show me the cup.
Amy
Yeah, I need to see.
Bobby Bones
I think most cups are filled pretty close, and you can say it's filled to the brim. It's just if he spilled it on himself, maybe you go, maybe I shouldn't hover this right over my Ding Dong while I'm drinking it if it's so hot.
Amy
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. I guess I need to see the tea. And a Ding Dong. We'll call it. The hot tourist spot for foreign visitors to America is Trader Joe's. That's from cnn. They want to come and buy all the stuff at Trader Joe's.
Eddie
Good stuff.
Amy
Yeah, I could see that being a thing.
Bobby Bones
What about Trader Joe's? Do you like.
Amy
I think they have a lot of unique items, especially seasonal things like the fall. Just happens. A lot of pumpkin things at Christmas time. I don't know. And they have some really good prices.
Eddie
Mandarin chicken.
Bobby Bones
You think tourists come over for the prices?
Amy
Well, they can get a unique item and not break the Bank.
Bobby Bones
A court in the UK has decided that a man's will that was written on the back of food boxes is valid and this charity is going to inherit $227,000. And from what I read, other people wanted that money and they were like, well, I just wrote this in the back of boxes. I'm glad they held it up because I feel like anywhere you write, like what your desires are for your stuff to go when you die, it should count if they can prove you wrote it and you were in like, what I say. Good, sound mind. Yeah, if you're in sound mind, it doesn't even matter where you wrote it. And then finally, a mom in Michigan jumped a counter at a hotel and assault an employee after her credit card was declined. A Michigan woman fled a waterpark hotel with her nine children.
Amy
Oh.
Bobby Bones
After she allegedly assaulted an employee working the front desk. Well, how do you get all nine kids to leave at once?
Eddie
That's tough.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, like, guys, let's go. Come on. Like, it seems like it's hard to get two to get up and go to school, like to get on the bus, much less nine at once. According to the police department, the 20 year old female employee told police that a woman jumped the counter before pushing and striking her after she was denied a room due to a declined credit card. The suspect had attempted to rent the room through a website. And at the hotel, the suspect jumped the counter. Yeah, anytime you're jumping a counter, that's probably not gonna end well. Even if it's like the hotel's fault and it's not the hotel's fault.
Amy
Underlying stress happening.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, nine kids. I think that's the stress. I think we see what the stress is there. All right, there you go. That's the news. Those were Bobby's big stories. The show is sponsored by BetterHelp. You know, I was at therapy yesterday. It's one of those sessions where I go and I'm in there and it feels like work, but I leave. And it felt like I just had a good day's work. And I'm like, man, I really gained some stuff yesterday. Meaning when you go to therapy, it actually, it doesn't fix you, but what it does is it gives you the tools that when you start spiraling or doubting or you don't have gratitude or for me, it readjusts and gives me those tools to find that this month, by the way, all about gratitude. And so it's about understanding at times what you do have. Sometimes we just focus on what we don't so here's a reminder too, to have a little gratitude for one or two things in your life. And here's a little reminder too, that therapy has helped me so much. Again, I did not grow up with therapy, didn't even know what it was other than people talking about it on tv. Bobby Bones
In Arkansas won a $200,000 prize from a scratch off lottery ticket. That's a lot from a scratch off. Usually those massive prizes usually come from the numbers, but Malvern's G. Smith said that her son gives tickets as gifts to friends and family members. And so it was a $10 ticket she had for $200,000.
Eddie
That's awesome.
Bobby Bones
Reminds me of what Lunchbox used to do. He used to buy tickets for gifts, but he would do trick tickets and he would go to like a Spencer's and regardless, you scratch it, you win like a million dollars. But it's a trick ticket. And then if you look at the back it has like haha, I got you sucker. But you have to look in the fine print. Who'd you give these to?
Lunchbox
I gave one to my brother for Christmas. I gave one in college. We did a report on the lottery, me and a group and I handed them out like people that in the class. And some guy thought he won a million dollars. He's like and my teacher was like 80 and he was like having a heart attack.
Bobby Bones
Wait, so did you put fake one in the middle of a bunch of real ones?
Lunchbox
Yeah, yeah. Cause like no one in my group knew that I had a fake one. And they all had real ones to hand out. So we just hand it out to random people. Like, oh, you. You know what I mean. You were paying attention during our presentation. You get a ticket. And the dude's like, I'm paying off my student loans. I'm taking the rest of the day off. I'm not going to the rest of my classes. And I don't know. I mean, it's just a random person in my college, you know, class. And then you turn it over on the back, and it says, valid only in your dreams claim at your mama's house.
Bobby Bones
So when did he realize? Was it in class or did you let him keep going?
Lunchbox
No, he left. What? He left.
Bobby Bones
So you never told him it was fake?
Lunchbox
No. He came back the next day, and he was like. Or nothing. Whenever we had. And he was just like, I can't. It was fake. It wasn't even real. Oh, my gosh. You want to talk about a ruined day? I had my high, my hopes so high. I'd paid off my bills and my student loans. And then to realize that. That it wasn't even real. But he wasn't mad. Didn't try to, you know, fight me or anything.
Amy
Yeah, that's good.
Lunchbox
Oh, my brother, man, he was jumping up and down on the couch. Hit him with my cousin Andrew. Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
Was that one of Christmas?
Lunchbox
Yeah. The whole family was there. Grandma and grandpa are like, don't rip it. Be careful. Don't mess it up. Don't mess it up. Oh, my. And my brother's like, I'm buying a new car. I'm buying a new car.
Bobby Bones
And you just let him sit with it?
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
And at what point, though? In the day or night?
Lunchbox
It was like an hour and a half later when my grandpa was finally like, he's very detail oriented. He was like, let me look at the ticket. Let me make sure this is valid. And he flipped it over, and it was only valid at his mama's house.
Bobby Bones
There's a woman who was arrested because she was faking and working as a nurse. She posed as a registered nurse, oversaw dozens of patients. That's nothing. This one dude we talked about was a doctor for, like, a year. Remember that kid?
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
No, this is still crazy because she did it for a month in Burbank, California. She does not have a nursing license. She's also on federal probation following a fraud conviction in her home state. So I guess they didn't vet her. There's probably such a nurse shortage. And I would bet because they say she posed As a registered nurse. I'm assuming she had some background in nursing to know how to do this.
Amy
Stuff and maybe even for paperwork.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I'm thinking she used to be a nurse back in the day.
Amy
Oh.
Bobby Bones
Because they say she posed as a registered nurse. And if she. You know how to put a needle in a vein. You've done that before. Yeah. So no nursing license, but if she was really good after she gets out, let her be a nurse. Part of the rehab. Like, hey, you've done your time, you've served your debt to society. Your patients really loved you. Like, we looked at the, you know, the reviews.
Amy
Maybe if they need nurses at like, some high security federal prison in jail, that's crazy. She can do it there.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. She was not a nurse. Did you watch the Mike Tyson fight at all?
Amy
No, I did not care. I saw everybody was watching it and then not watching it because it's frozen. That's mostly what I saw was everybody talking about it freezing.
Bobby Bones
So I was watching because, well, Mike Tyson was massive when we were kids.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And Kayla wanted to watch it because of Jake Paul. And so she was like, it starts at 8, which was 7, because it was 8 Eastern. And so we turn it on. I'm like, I don't think you're gonna like what's about to happen. She said, why? So there are three fights before the big fight. She was like, okay, well, how long are they? I said, I don't think they'll even walk down till 11 o'clock. She's like, no. They said it started at seven. I said, I don't think you. If this is like any other boxing or UFC event that I've ever seen in the history of time, there were going to be many fights before, and that's exactly what happened. The big fight didn't even happen to, like, 11, which was quite annoying.
Amy
Did y'all wait over that?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we watched it. The best fight of the night was the women's fight, the third fight. And it was having buffering issues too. But we would back out and then hit play again, and it would kind of catch back up most of the time. But you would think that Netflix would have had a better plan, meaning they obviously were not ready for the amount of people that were watching the fight. But don't you think you set it up and go, imagine everybody that has a subscription is watching. Like, every single person that has a subscription to Netflix is logging in and watching. Can we handle that? And if the answer is yes, then you should be good to go because that's everybody. But it was massive. Mike Tyson was way old. About the second round, his leg started quivering. He was wearing a knee brace. He had been sick. They had to postpone the fight already before he had some blood transfusions. And he was also 58 years old.
Amy
Yeah. I don't know. The whole thing just made me feel kind of weird.
Bobby Bones
Well, he made 20 million bucks.
Amy
Oh, well, yeah. Okay.
Bobby Bones
Jake Paul made 40 million. Mike Tyson made 20 million.
Amy
Wow. So fights like that, it brings in that kind of money.
Bobby Bones
No, but fights like that do.
Amy
And that. That's what I just said.
Eddie
Right.
Amy
I did my emphasis on the that.
Bobby Bones
Define that.
Amy
I said fights like that bring in that kind of money.
Bobby Bones
Define that. There's never been a fight like that before that.
Amy
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul never gonna fight like that.
Bobby Bones
Netflix has never had this before. It's an old guy and a YouTuber.
Amy
True.
Bobby Bones
It's all promotion. I mean, the great part of the fight was the build up for weeks, months, and then the entrances. And then once it started, there was, like, around.
Amy
And if you're Jake Paul, do you feel kind of like, oh, I gotta.
Bobby Bones
No. He's the greatest promoter. Him and his brother are the greatest promoters in the history of America.
Advertisement Voice
Right.
Amy
But, like, you're about to fight Mike Tyson.
Bobby Bones
He wouldn't have fought him had he not known he could beat him.
Amy
Yeah, no, exactly. That's my point. Like, does he go easy?
Bobby Bones
He did go easy.
Amy
Oh, gosh.
Bobby Bones
He carried him through the last couple rounds.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Like, he could have killed him.
Amy
All right?
Bobby Bones
And he didn't. And he bowed to him at the end because he realized they just made $60 million. It's the greatest thing I've ever seen.
Eddie
Oh, you liked it?
Bobby Bones
It was the greatest hustle I have ever seen in the history of hustles. Like, we all were in. I was betting on it. I was on DraftKings. It was a great.
Amy
Where are you at with that? Why? Why didn't you tell me to bet on it? You're really holding out on bets.
Bobby Bones
I don't share every bet I ever do.
Eddie
He gave you a bet.
Amy
I know, but like I told you, I want to bet more.
Bobby Bones
That is not a play. That's a. Why? Why do you want to bet more?
Amy
Well, this would have been fun for me to bet on.
Bobby Bones
You didn't even watch it. Had I bet it was not going on to a level, whatever.
Amy
I would have cared.
Lunchbox
You wouldn't have stayed up.
Bobby Bones
You wouldn't have stayed up.
Amy
I absolutely would not have.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, there Are two NFL games on Netflix Christmas Day? They're hoping that that will be better.
Amy
Well, not. I don't think as many people are gonna be watching on Christmas Day in.
Bobby Bones
The daytime or in the evening.
Amy
Yeah. Yeah. Oh, you think that many people are gonna watch football on Christmas evening? That. Watch that fight?
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
Okay.
Eddie
I mean, what else do you do on Christmas or holidays?
Bobby Bones
And it's. It's the NFL.
Amy
Yeah. Well, hopefully they'll have. Yeah. Ironed out their kinks.
Eddie
I'm just glad to know that you guys got the frozen screen, because everybody.
Bobby Bones
Got the frozen screen. Everybody got on my TV Twitter. It's what everybody was complaining about. Antonio Brown, who was streaming the big screen inside Cowboy Stadium, had 7 million people watching his stream of his phone from in the Cowboy Stadium because nobody could see it on Netflix.
Amy
Oh, wow, that's awesome. I mean, like, for him, that's cool. You can just, like, go over. You're like, I don't even have to pay for Netflix. I'm just going.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you just watch. Watch a stream. Yeah. See if you can name the narrators. Eddie, on Lunchbox. You guys do not have the sheets. See if you can name the narrators. Audible's best of 2024 list is here. Discover the year's best audiobooks, podcasts, and exclusive originals, all in your favorite genres. So the first one is Dutch House. And I'm gonna play the narrator after he finishes, see if he can name who this is. Okay, Dutch House. Go ahead.
Eddie
The first time my father brought Andrea to the Dutch house, Sandy, our housekeeper, came to my sister's room and told us to come downstairs. Your father has a friend he wants you to meet. She said, I'm in.
Bobby Bones
I'm in.
Lunchbox
Brother Wayne.
Bobby Bones
Go ahead.
Lunchbox
Tom Hanks.
Eddie
Oh, dang. Kevin Costner.
Bobby Bones
Dang.
Eddie
That's Tom Hanks, isn't it?
Bobby Bones
Tom Hanks.
Eddie
Oh, no.
Amy
Eddie.
Bobby Bones
The Dutch House by Aunt Patchett is about two formerly wealthy siblings who are thrown back into poverty. Can you guess who's narrating? It was Tom Hanks.
Lunchbox
I thought you were being stupid there.
Bobby Bones
I thought you were being funny. And also, we've talked to Kevin Costner, and he says his name's not Kevin Costner. Oh, yeah.
Eddie
It's just years and years of saying that, man.
Bobby Bones
Okay, 1984, which is the George Orwell book. And so here is the narrator. Go ahead. Is it just me? Am I alone in possessing a memory? Perhaps it's easier their way.
Advertisement Voice
Aren't you happy, comrade?
Amy
Pardon?
Bobby Bones
The dog head girl who stood right behind me. I didn't see her. Can you name that narrator I'm in.
Eddie
No clue.
Lunchbox
I'm in Lunchbox. Daniel Radcliffe.
Bobby Bones
It's a good guess. Yeah, similar.
Eddie
Daniel Radcliffe. That's what I had.
Bobby Bones
Andrew Garfield. Basically the Same person. Just 10 years difference. Is that right? In Fame?
Lunchbox
Not sure who that is.
Eddie
Spider Man.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, like I said, about 10 years difference in fame. You can listen to one of these or one of Audible's best of the year picks absolutely free. When you sign up for a free 30 day audible trial, there's so much up there. Visit audible.com best of the year. There you go. There's a podcast, a true crime podcast about this kid who died in 1996. And the guy who was convicted was then exonerated after 25 years in prison. So now he's suing the county. They ever do these podcasts and they find out that they were right to begin with.
Lunchbox
I don't know.
Bobby Bones
I feel like if I were in jail and I didn't do it, I'd be begging somebody do a podcast on me.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Because I feel like these podcasters do such. They're so intense with their detective. In that word. Yeah. They're so thorough. Like, they spend a lot of time on it because they have the capacity to do it. I mean, think about people that are actually working for, you know, the cops. Like, they have to have 70 cases at once, able to focus on one or the jurors.
Eddie
Good point.
Lunchbox
I think about that.
Bobby Bones
What's that?
Lunchbox
70 cases at once. You're right.
Eddie
So much work.
Bobby Bones
So I would be begging somebody to do it now if I was guilty. I probably wouldn't. I would just keep saying, yeah, I didn't do it. I wouldn't want them doing a podcast on it. But yeah, this true crime podcast actually got this guy cleared from prison after being in for 25 years. He said he was set up by corrupt police officers who fabricated evidence. Fabricated evidence. And threatened a key trial witness into giving false testimony.
Amy
This is terrible.
Bobby Bones
Imagine you're in jail and you know that somebody lied to put you there and you did not do it.
Eddie
And he was in jail for a long time, right? 20 years.
Bobby Bones
You said 25 years.
Amy
That is so crazy. Do you see Diddy's having his family from jail? Like, do things.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Like try to sway the jurors.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So I saw. I'll say this, I just saw a story about allegedly happening. So I don't know. You said that. I see. About him doing it. I don't know anything.
Amy
Well, I saw On ABC News. Early, early this morning. Way, like, way early that he went to jail. Right. When he got there, was using eight other inmates phone time. So it was like on their record. To make calls to his family, his lawyer, and then he would have them make a three way call. Allegedly, I'm used that word here. Then they would call on three ways, so then that call wouldn't be tracked. And he set up a social media campaign specifically around his birthday where his family posted them all singing to him. And you hear his voice, and it's the first time his voice has been heard from jail where he's like, y'all are just the most amazing, supportive family ever. I love y'all. And like, and apparently he created that whole. They called it a campaign to make him look, you know, like a good family. Dad. Human. Yes. Personalize it. And that's his plan to like, win people over, potential jurors over, is to see him as a human.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. How do you find jurors that don't know anything about the case?
Amy
Exactly.
Bobby Bones
When something is that famous, that's why somebody is that famous.
Amy
Like trying to get two steps ahead. But God, you get there and you're ditty. And I guess just like, hey, I'm going to take your phone calls today. I'm taking your phone calls.
Bobby Bones
Or you could have paid them too.
Amy
Yeah. I mean, and they're like, okay, yeah, you're diddy. Okay.
Bobby Bones
Or they're like, I'll take your money. That's awesome. You can have my phone time. Yeah, I'll take all the ramen noodles and sprees.
Eddie
Don't pay him in that commissary or the anything.
Bobby Bones
Or you can. Or you could pay their family outside of jail.
Amy
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Like, there are a lot of ways to make that happen.
Amy
But who knew?
Bobby Bones
Did he ain't getting out.
Amy
No.
Bobby Bones
No chance did he gets out.
Lunchbox
He'll be there for a while.
Bobby Bones
He'll die there.
Lunchbox
Oh, die there.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he'll never get out of prison.
Lunchbox
Oh, wow.
Bobby Bones
Because it's like serious stuff.
Amy
It's like kids and like now, like, there's no, I think other things. Like, even with like some stuff, you know, with Bill Cosby, it was like, you know, 1965 or something. It's like a lot of this is so current, it hasn't expired.

Story comes to us from Carlsbad, California. A car was driving a little erratically on the road when police tried to pull it over. And the driver was like, yeah, you think I'm gonna stop? No way. Starts a high speed chase. He's like, how am I gonna lose the cops? He sees a cliff and it leads down to the beach. He's like, I see it in the movies. Flies it off the cliff onto the beach. He's got serious injuries.
Bobby Bones
He's hurt.
Lunchbox
Yeah, yeah. No one else hurt though. No one on the beach got hurt.
Bobby Bones
Also figure like the car, once it hits the beach, depending on what kind of car is not gonna be able to drive on the beach.
Eddie
Right?
Bobby Bones
Stuck in the sand.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But also it does like cool and the cars get off the ground. Sometimes I feel like I hit like a hill and I'm off the ground, but I'm not. You ever feel like that's like, whoa? Yeah, yeah. Like I feel like I've caught air a couple times, but I bet you I've never once caught air or been close to it. Okay, good story.
Lunchbox
I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.
Bobby Bones
I was watching your Instagram and I saw your son run a five and a half minute mile. That's. That's fast.
Amy
Yeah, it's his record. And I mean, I'm so proud of him, but honestly, he can go faster.
Bobby Bones
Well, if it's his record, he's never been faster.
Amy
Yeah, but he wasn't even tired when he got done. So now I'm determined he's going to go faster.
Bobby Bones
There was forever, and this is decades ago. It was four minutes and nobody could break the four minute mile. And they had for like 30 or 40 years they had tried to break four minutes in the Mile. And once the first guy did it, like, two weeks later, somebody else did it. Another week later, somebody else did it. Like, the first time that it ever happened, it was then shown it can happen. So then other people started to break four minutes just because somebody else had done it before and it was shown it was attainable.
Advertisement Voice
Okay.
Amy
I feel like at some point you must have told us that story somewhere, because even when we got in the car and I was telling him how he wasn't tired, I'm like, oh, you're.
Bobby Bones
Telling him he wasn't tired? Well, that.
Amy
No, listen.
Advertisement Voice
No.
Amy
He even knows, like, afterwards, he kind of, like, went over and he looked at me and he was like, thumbs up. He's like, all right, all right, let's go home. And I'm like, you know, you should be like, hands on your knees. Like, I can't breathe. You just gave it your all. And I said something. I was like, honestly, I don't even know where this is coming from, but it had to be you, Bobby. Where I was like, once there was a guy and he didn't know that any records could be broken, but then once someone did it, it's like, mental, right? Cause, like, in your head, once you know that, it can go faster. So I was like, this is all in your head, and we need to, like, get this going.
Bobby Bones
The fastest one mile ever is 3 minutes, 43 seconds. Wow. Achieved by a guy in Rome's stadio Olympico in 1999.
Amy
Wow.
Bobby Bones
So that's 343. So your son's almost there. Your son wasn't even tired. So imagine if he was tired. He might be that.
Amy

I think a lot of people think that you're supposed to be going to therapy once you're, like, having panic attacks every day. But. But before you get to that point, I think once you start even noticing that you feel a little bit off and you can't maintain this harmony that you once had in relationships, that could be a sign that maybe you want to go talk to somebody. There's always a benefit in talking to someone because we can all benefit from improved insight about ourselves and who we are and how we behave with other people. So if you're human, that's like a good indicator that you could benefit from talking to somebody.
