Bobby Bones
Here we go. Come on, Bobby. Transmitting across America. Welcome to Monday's show Morning Studio Morning. Raymundo has something he wants to say. Go ahead.
Raymundo
So we had our coaches convention. We went to this axe throwing place. You guys are familiar, right?
Bobby Bones
Yep. Never been, but you chunk axes at a board, a wall.
Raymundo
Yeah. A little bit of drinking, there's food, It's a good time. And yes, you're trying to hit the bullseye. Get one point. It's just like darts, but throw an axe in the mix. So we're doing that. And not to brag, but I killed it. I was the absolute best, but I'm from the north. I'm from Michigan. We dealt with axes a lot. The funniest thing was that lunch was horrible at it. And at first, it was just always a poor sport. I can't believe people actually wanted to be around this guy when he's in such a bad mood. But then he was.
Bobby Bones
He was upset about. I mean, I would probably not be good at it. Yeah.
Raymundo
I took video of him. I mean, he was like. He wasn't talking to people. He kept just getting more and more mad because he couldn't even stick it onto the bullseye. I'm not saying getting six points for getting a bullseye. He couldn't even get the ax to go into the wood target at all. And it's 10ft wide in all directions.
Bobby Bones
I've never been so I don't know how hard that is.
Raymundo
So it's pretty simple.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Raymundo
I never once had it not hit the target in some and get at least one point.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Raymundo
So is doing all this. And I got to thinking how emasculating as a guy that you're not able to throw an axe, which is such a masculine thing to do. So that's probably why it was killing him so bad. If you go to hunters and gatherers back in the day, he wouldn't have been able to provide for his family.
Bobby Bones
He'd have been gathering like crazy.
Amy
Sure.
Raymundo
His wouldn't have been warm.
Bobby Bones
He'd have been gathering the crap out of stuff. Lunchbox your version of the story.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah, I sucked. I couldn't figure it out. Like, I mean, I don't know if I had too much rotation or what, but it would hit, bounce off the wood. Hit, bounce off the wood. I mean, it was the most frustrating thing because, let me tell you, sucking at something is not fun. It's supposed to be, oh, just a good time. We're having drinks, we're eating. But, man, I couldn't figure out how to throw the darn axe.
Bobby Bones
Did you feel less of a man?
Lunchbox
No, I didn't feel less of a man. I was just frustrated. Like, the guy showed us some trick shots, and so I'd do it once, and I'd be like, oh, I got it. And it would do it. And then I'd get up there, you know, here.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you'd watch him and say, you got it?
Lunchbox
No, no, I would throw it. Just like practicing.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Because he would show us a trick shot and then be game time. And I'd be like, how do you hold it again? I throw it. Dunk right off the wood.
Bobby Bones
Did you ever stick one in the wood?
Lunchbox
Oh yeah, I got like four points out of two games.
Bobby Bones
Once a one time.
Lunchbox
No, twice. Two points. Two points.
Bobby Bones
Do you feel people thought, wow, we thought he'd be more of a man than this.
Raymundo
Yeah, it was definitely a knock on him. And sometimes women have like in basketball even have a smaller ball than guys. They were using the same size axes as us and the women were scoring better than lunch. The guy and at times he thinks he's a alpha male.
Bobby Bones
I mean if you were. Let's say you're on a first date with a guy and he can't get the ax to stick.
Morgan
I mean, I think I'm just going to think it's funny.
Bobby Bones
Uh huh.
Morgan
I'm gonna know that he's capable, but something just off.
Bobby Bones
But is he? Not him, but the guy you're with and he just can't. You're nailing it, but he just can't do it.
Morgan
Yeah. I mean, I don't know that it's a undateable thing, but it's gonna be more funny. I'm gonna see how he handles me laughing at it.
Bobby Bones
Okay. What if he like lunchbox gets really mad?
Morgan
Oh, well then that's unattractive.
Bobby Bones
You're not dating him anymore.
Morgan
Probably not.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah.
Lunchbox
I mean there was a guy, Cappy, in a wheelchair, and he was sticking the board.
Bobby Bones
I was like, what do you think the problem was? Like really?
Lunchbox
I don't know. Like, I don't know if I was pulling it too far back. My angle was bad because it would go and it would hit it and then it bounced backwards or it would just.
Amy
So no force?
Lunchbox
No, no. So sometimes the back of the ax would hit. So I don't know if I was throwing, like if I was going too far back and it was being too. Because he was like, you don't want to over rotate it.
Bobby Bones
And I was like, he's too much of a man.
Morgan
Suggesting he had too much momentum.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Too much strength. Right. Is there a chance he had too much strength too mascul?
Raymundo
No, no. Two hours we were there and he stuck it twice.
Lunchbox
So then, so then I try to slow it down and it wouldn't get. It would just like donk off. And it was like, I. I don't understand it Was so frustrating, but it was so cool.
Bobby Bones
That's dirty dog for you to bring this up too. I'll be honest with you. Yeah, I had a dirty dog.
Lunchbox
It was. It was pretty rough. It was pretty rough.
Bobby Bones
So you wouldn't go back and do it again?
Lunchbox
No, I'd go back to in a minute.
Bobby Bones
Because you didn't do it because you want to do it again? Yeah. Morgan, you ever done ax throwing?
Morgan
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
And how are you?
Morgan
Oh, I'm really good at ax throwing.
Bobby Bones
Wow.
Lunchbox
Here we go.
Morgan
I mean, I've got like multiple eyes.
Bobby Bones
Wow. So you stuck it.
Amy
Is it. Is it hard, though, Morgan? Like, is it really hard?
Bobby Bones
No.
Amy
Sounds really hard.
Lunchbox
Yeah, it is.
Morgan
It really isn't like once you. Once you get the hang of it, you just start nailing them.
Bobby Bones
Well, that's the problem. I never got the two hours. You didn't get the hang of it?
Lunchbox
No, I mean, half the time I was drinking, and then the other half I was throwing and it just wasn't sticking.
Bobby Bones
Were you drinking, Morgan?
Morgan
Yeah, I went on one on a first date.
Bobby Bones
I went with a bunch of girlfriends one time.
Amy
How did the guy do it on the first date?
Bobby Bones
He did really good. I'm be honest. If that happened on the first day.
Morgan
I'd probably get the ick.
Bobby Bones
Not intentionally, but I think it would just happen.
Morgan
So you were attracted to the guy that could nail it?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. You know, I mean, but obviously that.
Lunchbox
Guy wasn't attracted to her.
Morgan
Why?
Lunchbox
Because he's not with her?
Morgan
Maybe.
Bobby Bones
It just could have been a lot of factors. There was not the right.
Lunchbox
Let's just not act like I was the only guy that couldn't hit the. I mean, there was dudes in our group that were not hitting the wall either.
Amy
Said Cappy in the wheelchair, he was.
Lunchbox
Dominating, but I mean, Jesse, he was struggling.
Bobby Bones
Well, Jesse doesn't work on the show.
Morgan
You're calling people out.
Bobby Bones
Maybe give a little practice. Go back.
Lunchbox
That's what I need. I need practice because it was bad.
Bobby Bones
Ray, thank you for the segment. Yeah, yeah. Very rude. We really enjoyed it. Yeah.
Raymundo
There.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah.
Raymundo
What?
Bobby Bones
What?
Raymundo
No, I was just going to say sometimes you'd hear a big chain link fence sound and people would look over and be like, oh, lunch. Yeah, he missed the whole target.
Bobby Bones
Boy. Like he hit the fence beside it when he hit the wall. Yep. I'm appreciative of this segment. This guy, it was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. Okay. All right, let's hear from Tom in Pittsburgh who left his Voicemail. I have a question. Facebook people post that Happy birthday to mom in heaven and this kind of thing. I just want to get your opinion. You. It kind of bothers me a little bit and just wondered. Yeah, yeah, me too. As far as, like, I don't let it get to me. But yes, I feel like that is someone just seeking attention if they're going on a social media platform and just writing it or something like. Which, by the way, I hope. And listen, my mom's not alive. Amy's mom's not alive. I hope whomever's dealing with this has their own way to deal with it, but I feel like I'm posting that on Facebook or. The other one that kind of gets me is when someone. And I don't hate prayer requests, but when they're like, I have a prayer request, but I can't tell you what it is, just pray for me. I need the prayer requests, but I don't want to tell you. Aren't you just, like wanting people to.
Amy
Feel bad for you and then guess what it is?
Bobby Bones
And then it's like, I don't want that. I don't let it annoy me to where I think about it all day. But mostly I'm just like, this person needs attention for some reason. Maybe it is. They're just sad and they won't. They need the positivity to come at them on Facebook so they feel better about their day.
Morgan
Yeah, I don't know. I just let people do what they want to do. That doesn't really bother me. I mean, maybe they need prayers. Collective prayers are good. And maybe they really can't say, yeah, I hear you. Also, the heavenly birthday stuff, that doesn't bother me.
Bobby Bones
Well, you're in a better place than we are.
Raymundo
I get annoyed every day.
Amy
What about going to a dead person's Facebook and wishing them a happy birthday, like, and saying, we miss.
Bobby Bones
I don't feel like that, though.
Morgan
Is attention seeking.
Bobby Bones
Is attention seeking. I feel like some people just do the sad sack and it doesn't have to be this. It doesn't have to be the. I can't really tell you what the prayer request about, but trust me, it's bad. But can I get some prayer requests?
Morgan
What if, like, even with the loved one, though, like, it's just like, we. We miss you. Like, they would have been here today. It's like remembering and it's for you and your.
Bobby Bones
I hear you. A healthy person doesn't get annoyed at this stuff. Like, me and Tom, we're out of our skulls and we get annoyed at everything.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And what I have to do is go, don't. Don't waste any of your emotional energy thinking about this more than the 10 seconds is up there. But I will see, See, people post just sad, sad things in general that are just like, man, it's just. It's just been a hard day and it's been a hard week and a lot of hard times have just been happening and then they just end the post. Maybe you should reach out to, like, a close friend and say that. Yeah, I don't know. I just get annoyed at dumb things.
Morgan
Yeah, that's true. Right now I feel like this is not anything I would waste my energy on at all.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I just feel I'm with Tom, where it's a bit of a sad sack. Ask for attention, I guess. But I'll say this too. I think if you just said, hey, looking for some prayer requests. Appreciate it. I'd be like, oh, cool. I wouldn't be annoyed by that.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
So.
Morgan
But it's when you go into detail.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. It's like, I don't want to tell you, but trust me, it's bad. It's one of those, like, really going through something super difficult. And I wish I could tell you guys, I think if you just posted, hey, could really use a prayer request right now, I would not even think twice that I'd be like, oh, that's great. Okay.
Morgan
What if it's just like, hey, you know, miss you mom would have been your birthday.
Bobby Bones
I think you're only doing that, though, to get the attention of people going, oh, I'm so sorry. Right.
Amy
Because you can just talk to your.
Bobby Bones
Mom or you can just talk, have that within yourself. And again. But I'm irrational and I get annoyed. The stupidest things. I also understand that.
Morgan
Yeah.
Amy
Your mom's not on Facebook.
Bobby Bones
I never post happy birthday to my dead mom. I literally not once have ever done that, so. And I think if I were to do that right, well, today would have been my mom, you know, birthday. I would have only been posting that so people would have seen it and felt sorry for me.
Morgan
Oh, well, I feel like I've posted something like that before regarding my mom or my dad. And I don't. I. I didn't think twice about people feeling sorry for me. It was more of like, oh, I miss my mom today. And I want to put this up. Like, she was amazing and I miss her.
Bobby Bones
That feels different, though.
Morgan
Yeah. So could it have that energy?
Bobby Bones
I don't think I'D have been annoyed by that.
Morgan
I don't want to be judged.
Bobby Bones
I don't think I would have been annoyed by that. I'm just.
Morgan
I don't want to be.
Bobby Bones
I did, and now I'm just annoyed by the whole thing because Tom has really triggered something in me, which I wish he wouldn't have, but he did.
Morgan
But I think that you gave people some good wisdom, which is just keep it short and simple. Like, if you genuinely just want, like, the power of more people praying for whatever it is, unspoken, then you can just say, like, be praying right now. Thank you.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's like at church when they're like, a prayer request. Prayer. Anonymous prayer request, unspoken. I never get annoyed at that. But if the preacher were like, anonymous prayer request. Tim, Tim, raise your hand, Tim. Okay, there's. Tim's gonna hand it. Tim says he got something he needs everybody to pray for him for. He really wish he could share. And, you know, he's not doing very good with it. And if you guys want to stop by and, like, give him a couple bucks after, I think I would be like, Tim playing everybody right now. And he just wants the attention.
Morgan
Okay, guys, so my mom's birthday was December 19th of 2024 every year. And so I don't. I don't. I don't ever post really that much about her, but on December 19, I did do a picture of my mom and me and my sister when we were little kids and my mom holding us.
Bobby Bones
Let me judge. Go ahead.
Morgan
And I said, hbd, mom. And then I put a red balloon because that symbolizes, like, before my mom died, we released red balloons with her. And then I put, we love you, miss you, all the things. That's it.
Bobby Bones
And then I don't feel like that is attention seeking.
Morgan
And I tagged because it's a fun.
Bobby Bones
Picture of you and your sister as kids. Like, it's just not begging.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. That's not a sad sack.
Morgan
Right?
Bobby Bones
If a post is just sad sack, regardless of what it is, I get annoyed. Because you're only sad sacking for attention.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
It's like if someone just writes having a tough day on their Instagram story.
Morgan
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
On their story. Like, you can tell a few friends that it's like, hey, I have a tough day. Great. But if you write that, I think people, then what? What's wrong? You know?
Morgan
Yeah. Maybe they want engagement.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Oh, maybe I'm not even thinking next level. Hey, Tom, we're not thinking about people just looking for engagement on their pages to Grow their followers. Maybe I should talk. Talk about my dead mom more and get more engagement, get more followers.
Morgan
What you need to do is say that you need to be like, I hate me.
Bobby Bones
I hate me for even feeling this way, being annoyed at people for this. Okay? I don't like that. I don't like that about me, but I am annoyed, Tom. I feel you. Thank you for that. That voicemail. You and I are the only two people on Earth. We're bad people. All right, next up. Give me the next one. Ray Number two.
Morgan
Okay, so we know what everyone on this show, their favorite thing is, right? Like, Bobby, yours is raise your back. Blue pig and baseball cards.
Bobby Bones
Eddie. Dallas Cowboys.
Morgan
Amy Birds.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Morgan
Reality tv. But other than what we already know, what is something that you know too much about around the room?
Bobby Bones
Oh, what do you know too much about? If it can't be one of those. Okay, I can go probably 90s sitcoms. I'm pretty good. I can name an actor almost any sitcom at any point. That's all I did growing up, so I put myself. There.
Amy
You go. Would you go music history or something?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Trivia in general. Like, I'm big trivia nerd, but all this stuff kind of fits. I'm just a nerdy dude for the most part. So. Yeah. Amy, you.
Morgan
Therapy trivia.
Amy
Oh, that's good.
Bobby Bones
I never seen that category once. I've watched Jeopardy. A long time, but.
Morgan
Well, probably just because I've done so much therapy. Not because I am a therapist and I'm by no means an expert, and I don't really know much of anything. I just have experienced a lot and done a lot of different things, so I kind of know what they are.
Bobby Bones
Eddie.
Amy
I do a lot of research on bands. Pearl Jam. I know too much about Pearl Jam. Bob Dylan, Bob Marley. Just music stuff. Willie Nelson. I read a lot about that stuff.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Oh, I'm pretty stupid. I don't really Google anything. Like, if I don't know the answer to a question, I'm like, I don't know the answer.
Bobby Bones
So, sports lottery.
Lunchbox
I mean, the history of lottery. I don't know anything about it.
Bobby Bones
Well, it doesn't have to be the history of something. It just can be what you play it. No, you do know a lot about the lottery, because they'll go. Well, with certain tickets, it's only this percentage of the big winners. Like, yeah, like, I would think I will go lottery. Yeah.
Morgan
Yeah. Because I wouldn't know that at all. Like, I don't know the difference between mega Millions. And the other ones.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but, guys, we don't have a lot to us, we struggle. We struggled with depth, anything.
Morgan
Diversity.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, well, not diversity. I mean, we got Eddie's Mexican, Morgan's Kansanic.
Morgan
No, I meant, like, diversity in our knowledge.
Bobby Bones
Who knows what.
Amy
Lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Ray Mundo has a Mexican name, but he's not. He's white. Yeah, so we got plenty of diversity. Yeah, I hear you. All right, thank you for those, by the way. Leave us a voicemail at any point. 8, 7, 7, 7, Bobby, it's the anonymous in box. There's a question to be had. Send it into the mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones, the regional manager for the company where I work came into the office last week, and when she saw my cubicle, she told me I needed to make it look, quote, more professional. I have my area decorated with knickknacks and lights, even a little disco ball. I get my work done. No one ever comes to my section of the office, so no one's gonna see it. Also, in the three years I've worked here, this was the first time our manager has even stepped foot in here. Should I just pretend I did not hear her and keep my area decorated like I prefer, or make work less fun and do what I'm told? Signed, unprofessional employees.
Amy
I like this person.
Bobby Bones
Hey, work is not supposed to be fun, right? It can be. Like, there are times where it will be. There are times that it can be. But work is not designed for you to go and have fun. If your superior says, clean up your desk, clean up your desk. Now, can you integrate small things back in slowly to see? You can try that, but I would immediately make the changes and the fixes that she has suggested. Or he.
Morgan
I think it was a she, but.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you do that. You do that right now.
Morgan
I guess it depends on how you want to move forward with this position or company. Like.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And if you don't and you want to get fired, don't.
Morgan
Right, Yeah. I mean, if you have goals to move up, then, yeah, I'd go ahead and tidy up.
Amy
What does the more professional mean, though?
Bobby Bones
Like, depends on the job. There could be people coming through, clients walking through an office, and I'll get.
Morgan
The eggplant emoji up on your.
Amy
All of a sudden, not professional.
Bobby Bones
You know, you got Vegas dice hanging.
Amy
That's fun, right?
Bobby Bones
Here's the thing. I'm glad you brought that up.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Works not supposed to be fun, right?
Morgan
You know those little dancing plants or Billy Bass.
Bobby Bones
Oh, Billy Bass is so cool. Here's a look. The song I wrote, H1. And then it goes back. See? Oh, that's awesome. But if your boss says you need to change, there are two things you can change. Either your cubicle or your job. Yep, that's it. She may never walk through again. That's why I'm not against doing exactly what she wants and slowly integrating tiny things over a slow period of time. Because she may never notice again. But if she does come and notice a week later and you haven't changed, you're packing your bags pretty soon.
Morgan
Like, is it ever a good idea, regardless if it's about a desk or something else, for you to just act like you didn't hear your superior.
Amy
No.
Bobby Bones
Insubordination's tough. And then. Especially if. Because if you can prove. Which you can't prove, you didn't hear, That's. That's tough. That's tough.
Morgan
And then she's. Or who he or she says. Well, didn't you hear me say that? You say, prove it.
Bobby Bones
No, you said this. He says, huh? What? Yeah, fix it up. Fix it. That sucks. You'll be okay, though. Work's not supposed to be fun. It can be. Sometimes it is fun, but it's not supposed to be. You do not have that right. You have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, not Billy Bass in your office cubicle. That's it. Hey, it's Bobby Bones. It felt like I told you I loved you. I'm gonna be honest. It was a little pink. There was something sentimental when you.
Raymundo
When you send it. It was like, do I send the heart now?
Bobby Bones
I don't like the color edition.
Raymundo
It's extremely pink.

Morgan
I feel so grateful right now.
Paola Pedrosa
I got to speak to my great.

Morgan
Now, I'm not saying I'm psychic for sure, for sure. But something in me must have known that my garage was gonna flood when the pipe exploded in my garage and water went everywhere.
Bobby Bones
You said for sure, for sure. So maybe there's just one for sure. You think you might be psychic?
Morgan
I don't Know, it's just pretty interesting. Let me tell you what happened. For months, I've been meaning to take things from my garage to Goodwill and to the dump and clean out this whole side of the garage. Actually, the side of the garage where the pipe exploded.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Morgan
And months I've been meaning to do this guess when I did it.
Amy
Right before the.
Morgan
Just guess. Yeah, the day before. Yeah, the day before the pipe exploded. It just seems a little interesting. And I hadn't really put two and two together until later. I was talking about it with my friend that actually went to the dump and the donation place with me. And so because she has a truck, we loaded up my car and her truck full of stuff. That stuff would have been ruined and undonatable in order, though.
Bobby Bones
Do you think you're more psychic or it was a coincidence?
Morgan
I mean, I'm in a lean coincidence, but I just think it's pretty awesome that I did it the day before. So maybe something in me sort of new. I better take care of this now.
Bobby Bones
Question. Your cousin is a psychic and she.
Morgan
Says she's just able to tap into a different level of consciousness that we're not able to, but actually all humans are able to. She thinks if we are open and willing.
Bobby Bones
Possibly genetic, was my question.
Morgan
Except for she's not biologically my cousin. We've gone over this multiple times.
Bobby Bones
I forgot about that.
Morgan
Yeah, our moms were best friends and I just grew up saying Aunt Lisa, which was.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's a country cousin. I forgot that. Yeah, that's what we say in Arkansas. Anybody that's like close to you, it's just your cousin.
Morgan
Yeah. So it's not in my blood at all. But I wonder if one part of me just was tapping into a different level of consciousness the day before. It's just weird.
Bobby Bones
You focus in and make another prediction. Looks like a prediction. Later.
Morgan
What do you need to know?
Bobby Bones
I don't know, but I.
Morgan
Let's test it out.
Bobby Bones
Let's say you go at some point because we have a lot of show left. You go into my office for five minutes and just sit in the dark.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And then we'll have you come on and see if anything, tell us what comes to you.
Morgan
Okay, I can do that.
Amy
Oh, this is cool.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
This is bizarre.
Morgan
I mean, because who knows? I don't think.
Bobby Bones
Listen, I know you're not psychic.
Morgan
However, I know that I'm not either. But it's like I could have done that.
Bobby Bones
You don't know because you said you didn't know?
Morgan
No, because I guess it's just bizarre that that stuff's needed to move for months, and I moved it the day before.
Bobby Bones
So you're saying there's a chance?
Morgan
I'm saying there's a chance.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so we'll see if Amy can make a psychic prediction.
Morgan
But also, it's stupid. I'm not. But I'll go. I'll go sit in your office for five minutes.
Bobby Bones
I just want you to be just. Yeah, yeah. Because I don't want you to be distracted by anything in the office. Any of the pictures of me in, like, a cowboy hat looking pretty good in that picture. Have you seen it?
Morgan
Yeah, it's fine. I'm not gonna get distracted.
Bobby Bones
You never know. Okay, so we'll do that. Everybody good on that?
Morgan
I'm pretty psychic on that.
Bobby Bones
And I don't want you to. I don't want you to have any idea of what you're psychic about going in. I just want it to come to you.
Morgan
Blank slate.
Bobby Bones
Blank slate. I'm not a. I don't believe. I don't believe in psychics. But I also can't tell you that they're not real, because I have no way to prove that.
Morgan
I don't know either. But if y'all ever had those weird moments where you haven't done something and suddenly you do it and then something happens and you're like, coincidence.
Bobby Bones
Because I had a lot of those moments where nothing happened. Probably more, though. It doesn't matter. I don't want to be a hater on it. I want you to prove your psychic ability in a little bit.
Morgan
Okay.
Bobby Bones
It'S time for the good news with producer Eddie.
Amy
When I think of teenagers in the snow, I think of snowball fights, you know, like sledding, stuff like that. But no, not the teenagers. In Waterbury, Connecticut, they decided to go out and go into the community and shovel driveways and sidewalks for elderly people and disabled people.
Bobby Bones
Dang. So one of them was like, let's just do this. And the other ones were like, okay, cool.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like, that's leadership. And that's also teens going. Because I can't imagine a lot of teens thinking that's fun, right? Like, taking responsibility to help other people.
Amy
You're doing snowman. You're doing, like, fun stuff in the snow. And to help the elderly and the disabled. I mean, dude, they're going straight to heaven.
Bobby Bones
You think that'll got it? This will take that alone, yes. They're free to do other bad stuff. This count, this counter acts that it's pretty Good. That is pretty good, though. And where was it again?
Amy
This is in Connecticut. Waterbury, Connecticut.
Bobby Bones
A big shout out to those kids there. Great job. That is what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good bones. Today at Tracy Lawrence's birthday. The history of Tracy Lawrence. Grew up in Foreman, Arkansas. Started performing at age 15 years old. Three things you might not know, but now you might, because of interviews that I've been able to do with him. Back in 1991, Tracy Lawrence was shot four times in a robbery that nearly turned deadly for him. He was dropping his friend off at a hotel where she was staying when three men circled them as they got out of the car, pointed guns at them, and then he talked about getting shot.
Tracy Lawrence
I grabbed the pistol with my left hand. The guy was right behind me, and I grabbed the gun and it went off and shot my finger. And then. So I hit him in the mouth. The other people came back on me. She took off running to the front and they. I got hit in the hip, which I still carry a bullet there. I got hit in the upper right arm, and they shot me right through the left knee, right through the joint and the outside of the leg all the way through. So I had three. Three surgeries and wound up having to have a total knee replacement in 2016.
Bobby Bones
Dang.
Morgan
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
Shot four times.
Amy
I must have forgotten that story.
Bobby Bones
That's just crazy. Time marches on. The song sparked a lot of controversy because of the lyrics. The label was worried about radio stations and that they wouldn't play it, but it was still a major risk. Here you go.
Tracy Lawrence
The thing that made me cut that song, specifically, the one thing that did was smokes a lot of dope because I knew it would shock people. I knew it had shock factor to it, and. And everybody was terrified of it. I knew it would either be the biggest record that I'd ever had or it would kill my career, but there.
Bobby Bones
Was no in between because the line is, brothers wearing beads smokes a lot of dope. Yeah. And then finally his song Paint Me a Birmingham Again, which might be my favorite, was never a number one, but he talked about how huge it was for him.
Tracy Lawrence
It was a massive record. You know, I've been blessed with a lot of number ones in the business. That one only got top five. All number ones aren't. Aren't that way. I've had a lot of them that, you know, they. They manipulated the numbers. They went in on a dying breath. Some things fell out of the top. Whatever the reasons were, I don't think the longevity of the song needs to be determined by how far it went up on the charts. There's a, you know, a marquee to all that stuff, too, but I think the longevity of it speaks for itself. I mean, it's. It's one of those songs that just connected with people.
Bobby Bones
I want to play it because of all that. TRACY Lawrence birthday. 57 years old today. Happy birthday. Tracy Lawrence still got bullets in him. That's crazy. That's crazy. Bones. Hey, it's Bobby Bones. It felt like I told you I loved you. I'm going to be honest, it was a little pink. There was something sentimental. When you.
Raymundo
When you send it, it's like, do I send the heart now?
Bobby Bones
I don't like the color edition.
Raymundo
It's extremely pink.

Bobby Bones
Ten answers are on the board. It's the Bobby Feud. Name a musician that only needs to go by one name. Oh. Ten answers on the board. Can you name a musician that only needs to go by one name? We rolled the dice backstage. Eddie, you hit first this time. You're up.
Amy
This is easy. Give me Taylor.
Bobby Bones
Show me Taylor. What did all you guys. I would have never said. I would have never.
Amy
No, you didn't know I was talking about Taylor Swift.
Bobby Bones
Well, when we say musicians. But if someone were just like, hey, you see Taylor on tv, I'd have been Taylor.
Amy
Really?
Bobby Bones
Okay. She's very famous. The most famous.
Lunchbox
Wow.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah. That's terrible. Amy, musicians that only need to go by one name.
Morgan
Beyonce.
Bobby Bones
Show me Beyonce.
Amy
Beyonce who?
Bobby Bones
Bro, stop. That is the number three answer. Amy. There you go. Three points on the board.
Morgan
Go ahead, Adele.
Bobby Bones
Show me Adele. Number five answer. Good job.
Morgan
Share.
Bobby Bones
Good share. Number six answer. She's running, boys. She's a runner. She's a track star. Here we go.
Morgan
Well, now I want to get a little bit risky. Garth.
Bobby Bones
Show me Garth. That's a good one, though. Yeah. I didn't make it. Didn't make it. Let's go over to Lunchbox. Amy. Has three off the board. At number three was Beyonce, and number five was Adele. And number six was Cher. We're looking for musicians that only need to go by one name. The Lunchbox. Yeah.
Lunchbox
Bono.
Bobby Bones
Show me Bono. What? The wrong points are now doubled. What? Eddie, Give me Sting.
Lunchbox
That's on my list.
Bobby Bones
Wrestler.
Amy
No, stop. You know who I'm talking about.
Bobby Bones
Singer for the police. Show me Sting.
Lunchbox
Now I'm confused.
Bobby Bones
Okay, Amy, back over to you. Point your double.
Morgan
Madonna.
Bobby Bones
Show me Madonna. That's the number four answer, worth eight points. Good job.
Morgan
Good job, Shania.
Bobby Bones
Show me Shania. So 3, 4, 5, and 6 are off the board. Lunchbox. What you got?
Lunchbox
Eminem.
Bobby Bones
Show me Eminem. That is correct. That's the number eight answer worth 16 points. Thank you.
Lunchbox
Give me Reba.
Bobby Bones
Show me Reba.
Tracy Lawrence
Wow.
Bobby Bones
I thought he was gonna take it. So that's two rounds complete. We have one more round. Amy is in the lead with 22 points, Eddie with 0.
Amy
But it's the third round.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox with 16 points. There are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 answers still on the board. Beyonce, Madonna, Adele, Sharon, Eminem are off the board.
Amy
You ready?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, dude, we're here. We're all ready. We're playing the game. Give me. Yep. Kanye. Show me Kanye.
Tracy Lawrence
What the.
Amy
I went zero.
Bobby Bones
You went zero. First pick, zero.
Amy
This is crazy.
Bobby Bones
Wow, you're an embarrassment. Big time embarrassment. Amy, you're in the lead, but you sure could use a buffer here. There are still five answers on the board. The number one answer and number two answers are both still on the list.
Morgan
That's crazy. I don't know which direction to go, so who cares? I'll go Britney. No, I know, but I tried.
Bobby Bones
She tried, though. She did. At Lunchbox. You can win this. Yeah.
Lunchbox
Hey, pretty mama. Elvis.
Morgan
Own.
Bobby Bones
Yep. Show me Elvis. Number one answer for three points.
Lunchbox
Where's that?
Bobby Bones
Put me in second place still. You had 16. Now you have 19.
Lunchbox
Oh, how many does Amy have?
Bobby Bones
22. Dang.
Lunchbox
I should have been paying attention. I was trying to wreck my brain for names.
Bobby Bones
You got the number two answer. Seven, nine, and ten. Still up. Elvis, Beyonce, Madonna, Adele, Sharon, Eminem. All off the board, man. Four answers remain.
Lunchbox
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
Drake for the win. Drizzy. Drake. It has to say Drizzy. I'm just kidding. It doesn't. Show me Drake. I'm surprised you guys did so bad.
Amy
Me too.
Bobby Bones
Especially Taylor.
Amy
I mean, everyone knew who I was talking about.
Bobby Bones
We talked about music. When you say Taylor. Yes.
Morgan
Is Jay Z1?
Bobby Bones
No.
Amy
Rihanna, too?
Bobby Bones
Yes. Rihanna.
Morgan
Oh, Rihanna.
Bobby Bones
Rihanna. Was Drake. Rihanna. Was at number seven, Prince was at number two, Pink was at number nine. And your number ten answer was Tupac. And Amy, I'm happy for you, Eddie. I'm embarrassed of you.
Amy
I'm embarrassed you got the egg.
Bobby Bones
But, Amy, you are the greatest at this game. So please hit her song.
Amy
Bones.
Bobby Bones
My faith in humanity has been restored. Sometimes you will be online and it will be so toxic. You think it's really like that outside, too? Like, outside these doors, it's got to be so toxic. Here's a story that happened to me in the last couple of days where I'm like, man, people are real cool. So over the past couple of months, we've had a dog get out, and people have found that dog and said, hey, we found you your dog. Here's the phone number on it. We're just calling you if you want to come and get it. We're like, Elder has, like, escaped and run across the highway. And luckily somebody cared so much to find that dog. So if I see a dog out, it's like, I would want someone to catch our dog. So let me try to catch this dog. So my wife and I are driving around. It's like 10 degrees outside. There are two dogs running down the road in a different part of town that we are. One has, like a handkerchief on. And so you can tell they're just not stray dogs. And they're like running together across crosswalks in the middle. And so I'm like, let me out of the car. I gotta go chase these dogs. And I'm in, like, Jordan ones too, which are not the best shoes to run in. So it wasn't at, like, peak athletic performance. I just want everybody to know it wasn't a peak performance. So she's like, okay. So she whips around, I jump out. I'm chasing these dogs. I'm on foot, and I can't quite catch up to them. And as I'm running toward him, I see another guy come running down a hill. And he goes, are you chasing those dogs? And I'm like, yeah, are you? And he's like, yeah. I said, are those your dogs? He goes, no. He said, are they yours? I said, no. I said, so we're just chasing them to catch them? He's like, yeah. So now we got a two man team. Not either one of our dogs, but both of us have seen these dogs and we're trying to catch them for whomever because at some point somebody has done something for us, and we just feel like we owe it to the World. And so we're running. He's taking that block. I'm taking this block. This car pulls up beside me, rolls the window down, goes, hey, you, Bobby Bones. And I was like, yeah. He goes, are you chasing those dogs? I was like, yeah. Are those your dogs? He goes, no. Do you need help? Yeah. Jumps out of the car.
Amy
That's awesome.
Bobby Bones
We got three people chasing dogs aren't even our dogs at this point. And so we're trying to strategically, and these dogs are having the time of their life. It's like jailbreak. They're. They're. They're out. We come up on another guy who just got a backpack on, and he goes, you guys looking for those dogs? They just went that way. And I'm like, yeah, thanks. He goes, are those your dogs? I said, no. And then there are people. It's like a whole unit, right? And we're like, no, but we're all trying to catch it. He goes, do you want me to help? I was like, not our dogs. But sure. He's like, great. Lays his bag down, starts walking toward. We got. We got a whole search team on these dogs. And I'm going, these are nobody's dogs as far as the four people that are searching for it. But all four of these people, myself included, feel like we owe it to the world or we owe it to these dogs to try to make sure these dogs are safe. Now, what ended up happening was these dogs ran down a railroad track, and we lost the dogs. We never caught them. But the story doesn't end in, like, a beautiful way.
Morgan
But at least the train didn't come.
Amy
We don't know that.
Bobby Bones
We think the dogs ran back to their house, but they ran down a place we couldn't get to as humans.
Morgan
Let's tell ourselves that they ran home.
Bobby Bones
All four people were chasing these dogs until we could no longer reach the dogs. So beautiful. Yes, I. A bit of me like that candle that sometimes flickers out where I just have no hope. I'm reminded that people outside the doors are much nicer than people inside the doors. People posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, in the comments on YouTube. That's not real life. Real life. Not one single person of the four went, hey, those your dogs? No. What political party are you? Well, ah, I'm not in then. That didn't happen one time, was not it? What are your beliefs? Nothing. It was just people looking out for other people. Even people we didn't even know. I do wish we could have caught the dogs like this. I could have lied. I just felt like we caught the dogs, but I feel like the dogs got back to it. They were off the road anyway. Like, they were back in an area.
Morgan
They're probably like talking to each other and they're like, dang it, and got another one.
Amy
Get away from these guys.
Morgan
Lose these guys.
Bobby Bones
They're multiplying. It did remind me that what you see online is not real life. What you see on the news is not real life. The Internet, the news, they try to divide us. Politicians, they try to divide us. Not one single person of the four asked anything about the other people's personal life, beliefs, voting record, nothing. So I just want to encourage people to remember that, that if you're out and you got a flat, somebody's probably going to help you if you need help. I just wish we would count the dogs.
Amy
It's a good reminder.
Bobby Bones
Thanks. But it was pretty cool to see everybody that it was nobody's dog and we're all just looking for it.
Amy
Yeah.
Morgan
You know what's messed up is there's one person, maybe two, that are listening to this and they're like, shoot, next time I decided to help somebody, I gotta check and see who they voted for first.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's gonna make people do that.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But that's if somebody really needs help, you know, that's not a real life thing.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
People are. People are there for other people. Don't let the Internet or your politicians or the news divide you, because that is their goal. That's literally their goal. To divide and conquer all three of those things. That's all. Look at this flame. It is fully burning. Because I have faith in humanity. Yet again, about two escaped dogs. Bones, it's time for the good news with Bobby. Tell me something good, Amy. Listen to this story because this could be you, hopefully at a later date. 28 years ago, this guy named Jed made the football team at Chaparral High in Scottsdale, Arizona. He got a letterman jacket. Unfortunately, when the jacket was finished being made and picked up, his family couldn't afford to actually pay for it. So he never got the jacket. And so he was bummed out, never got it. Thirty years later, his brother popped into a thrift store and there was that jacket. So they had it then they just ended up selling it. It was his actual custom ordered letterman's jacket from 30 years ago. Pat said, jed on the shoulder, that's cool. All of it was still there. So he bought it at the thrift store. The brother's all emotional and that's super.
Morgan
Cool.
Bobby Bones
Like it's from ABC15. Now, a couple of things here. Number one, Amy still searching for a college ring. Her Aggie ring, class of O.3, somebody broke into her house and it was.
Morgan
Price stolen, then rolled with a little tiny diamond.
Bobby Bones
It was pawned. I think Amy's offered a ton of money for this.
Morgan
You did?
Bobby Bones
I don't know that. Offered a ton. I think this value has been. I think as I've lied about my offering because I don't remember.
Morgan
I feel like you did.
Raymundo
How much did I offer?
Morgan
Mike Dinosaur.
Bobby Bones
You don't want to know the official total I have down here. I don't want to know.
Morgan
No, especially if you don't remember offering it.
Bobby Bones
How much did I. Okay, what's the official total? It's at 1500. And how much of that am I on the hook for?
Morgan
1500.
Bobby Bones
I don't think I'm the only one that's put money in this. I think you guys keep lying about it.
Morgan
Did he?
Bobby Bones
It doesn't accrue interest.
Amy
And it's not even your ring.
Bobby Bones
It's kept, like, going up. Yeah. Every time we freak it out.
Morgan
Why you keep doing this?
Bobby Bones
But I don't do. I do. I think everybody is, like, committed some.
Morgan
Honestly, we could order a new one for less.
Bobby Bones
That's not the point of it.
Morgan
But we like the original and we like the idea of it being returned.
Amy
So it has your name on it and everything.
Bobby Bones
Amy.
Morgan
Yeah. Either initials or full name. So it'd either be like, so I.
Bobby Bones
Owe somebody fifteen hundred dollars. And Amy didn't put any money into this. Maybe she put a little, but I think it was like, 50 bucks.
Amy
Really doesn't sound fair.
Morgan
I'm so weird. I don't remember either, Bobby. But I'm just saying, I'm so annoyed.
Bobby Bones
That I'm such a good guy.
Amy
Tell me something good. Something good.
Morgan
You don't even remember offering it?
Bobby Bones
I thought it was like 500 bucks. I'll be honest with you. Okay, okay. 1500 bucks. If someone finds Amy's ring, I'll give him 1500 bucks.
Amy
Will you remember that this time?
Bobby Bones
No, because it'll happen again.
Morgan
I'm like, well, you're. I guess.
Bobby Bones
Michael, go. I think it's 3,000. And I'm like, no, man.
Morgan
So you're technically 14,000.
Bobby Bones
No, not 14,000. I mean, guys, this is exactly what happened.
Morgan
Sorry, sorry. Just calculate 1450 and I'm 50 somebody.
Bobby Bones
I found it. Amy did add 50. So 50, that is Amy. And I literally said I get 14. It started at 500. It's the stupidest bit I've ever done. Okay. Hopefully nobody finds it. I mean, sorry.
Lunchbox
Good luck.
Bobby Bones
Hopefully, Amy, you get your ring. And Jed shout out. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. That is the end of the first half of the podcast. That is the end of the first half of the podcast. That is the end of the first half of the podcast. That is the end of the first half of the podcast.
