There's a question to be hello Bobby Bones. We have a swimming pool in our backyard. Now that it's summer, my son's friends are over at the house constantly. They hang out in the backyard and at the pool a lot. I'm often in the backyard with them. One, because I don't like them being in the pool with no supervision. And two, I like sitting by the pool. Usually when I'm by the pool, I wear a bikini. It's not a particularly sexy cut, but it does show my stomach and thighs. I admit I have noticed a couple of boys checking me out. They're 13, 14 years old. Yesterday my sister was over at the house with her kids and they were playing in the pool. My sister said, do you always wear a bikini in front of the teenagers? When I said yes, she remarked that it was inappropriate. I've been wondering if I'm in the wrong signed bikini wearing mom. Amy, I'm to you.

I don't know. I was a little confused all the time because I've never heard of anybody being shamed for wearing a bikini in front of kids. Like, I'm a mom. I wear a bikini. I have one pieces too. Is it wrong? I didn't know that other moms thought that wasn't A thing or other people thought.

And I don't think she noticed anything until she noticed a kid probably checking her out.

And then her sister saying you. Those combined have made her feel insecure about the situation.

Well, I could imagine feeling insecure after people say something. I would say, if it's an okay modest bikini, like I'm not gonna wear like a thong bikini in front of kids or like a string. I don't even have one of those, to be honest. But you know, like there's like a.

Why do you feel so uncomfortable right now? Like it's just everything you're doing.

[Bobby Bones]

I don't, I, I don't know. But I mean, I have bikinis and I wear them in front of kids, but they're I guess what you would call modest bikinis.

Okay. And so what would you say to the mom?

I'd say it's okay, keep wearing it. That is not like, I don't know.

What are you supposed to do?

Put on a long skirt?

Still gonna be looking true. So yeah. You know the line, you're, you're an intelligent woman. You know the line of wearing a thong bikini and no top versus a regular bikini. Who gives a crap at your house, at your pool? So I'm, I'm with the mom on this. I think she's probably making a fair judgment, a good judgment, without even knowing it's a judgment. That's how normal it is. Amy didn't even know this would be a question. Are you not questioning you?

Well, now I'm wondering if people have judged me and not said anything like, oh, she's wearing a bikini. But I often wear like little fins, snorkel heads. But I like little cover up skirt thingies that kind of match the swimsuit.

Yeah, true. But I mean that's just for my own, like I would wear that around a bunch of adults, like much less. If there's 14 year old kids.

Yeah, so, no, that wasn't jumping hour.

Yeah, it was just really organic and we all went to dinner their first night that they got in it was super casual and he's been hanging out with us all week for all the festivities.

Staying at your house. Yeah, while they're there staying at your house, he's staying at your house while your parents are staying at Your house?

It's not. Because I don't think any of us are judging her at all for it. We're just more like, wow. I mean, both of my parents have since passed, but that would never happen.

Six months. How long have you guys been dating?

It's been three.

I think there's a point, too. He. Probably. No judgment. And also, good for you, because you know who you are. You know who you are with your parents.

For me, I don't even have parents, so it's hard for me to even say this, but what I'm saying is, I think in the first meeting, in that. Whatever that time exchange is, in the events of the first meeting, he wouldn't have been staying at the house. He. The first meeting with the parents would have been, okay, we're gonna have dinner, we're gonna hang out. Then they come back the second time he's staying in the house. It's like a slow walk, but, you know, you are, and I sell it.

Yeah, right. But, like, how do you tell. Like, how does that go? I don't know how that would go. Like, do your parents say. Do you just say he's staying, Walk.

Us through it, or does he just.

Go to bed and it's like, all right, good night, everybody. And he just takes his shirt off and walks in the bedroom.

That's crazy.

He doesn't, like, take his shirt off in front of him. But, yeah, I mean, it's my house. They're staying at my house. So, you know, they're not going to be like, no, you can't do what you want in your house.

Never thought that the relationship you have with your parents is also awesome. Yeah.

But I mean, is there a. I guess. Is there a conversation or. It just happens.

So did you tell them he would be staying at the house too, or.

[Morgan]

Yeah, like in advance. I was like, yeah, he stays at the house quite a bit. So it's also been super helpful because it's just such a busy week. He's super helpful with everything. So, like, I'm like, I kind of need him here.

Wait, what? Question in the morning, like, does he breakfast? Yeah. Like, without a shirt on or is he like, had to get all dressed.

Before he comes out there?

He's doing his pull ups. He's got the little thing. He puts it up the doorway and he's doing pull ups.

Bobby's married and when they go visit.

Caitlyn's parents, he's like, are you guys sure? Guys, I'm the last of four daughters. They really just kind of gave up on me.

I mean, yes, all I understand every part of it. It still is a little weird, but good for you. Good for you.

I guess I didn't even realize it's like a weird thing until you guys all just responded like that. I didn't even think anything.

How we grow up so differently, you know?

I had no rules, but also I had no girls. You know, it wasn't that I grew up so different. I just was different. Like, ah, okay. So he just stayed at the house.

And you guys are good. Relationship's good?

Yeah, it's going so awesome. He's a great he. I have not. There's not a single person that's met him, of my friends or family that has disliked him.

He even played in like a small side jazz band while he was in College. Being that D1 athlete, set your kid up to be like the ultimate ladies man. Come on, man. Eddie was talking about his son and maybe he didn't want to play in. In the band. The marching band.

Yeah, because he's an athlete like he's been.

But you're the one that has dedicated him to the term Athlete. He's probably just playing sports.

He's played sports his whole life.

Never showed interest in anything else other than sports. And now all of a sudden, he's going to middle school and he wants to join the band.

But do you know why showing interest? Because there are other people around him that have interests that maybe those same people didn't have interests earlier. He wasn't exposed to it.

[Raymundo]

Yeah. I don't know. It just struck me the wrong way a little bit. But now that I'm hearing people talk, Lunchbox talked about some guy in his high school who was, like, the star quarterback. And then he would go put on at halftime, he would go join the marching band. Like, I guess that could work, but.

[Amy]

That only works that way. It doesn't work for you if he just wants to be in the band and not play ball.

[Raymundo]

If he quit sports and. No, no, that's not happening.

[Amy]
