Come on, Bobby Bones Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones Show.
Lunchbox
Let's go.
Bobby Bones
Hope you had a great weekend. Welcome to Monday Show Morning Studio.
Daniel
Morning.
Bobby Bones
Okay, we are back to full force today. Lunchbox is back from his illness. How do you feel today?
Lunchbox
I feel great. I told you I gotta come back. Last week I was ready, but you guys kept saying, no, no, you guys are being little sissies. But that's okay.
Daniel
It's called safe, I think.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And it wouldn't have mattered which disease you had that we could have gotten from you. We would have said, hey, stay back, because you were contagious.
Lunchbox
I mean, potato, potato days. Yeah. After a couple days, you're not really contagious, you know, Isn't that what they say? Two days and you're good to play.
Bobby Bones
What was weird was. So Lunchbox was sick. He sounded terribly sick, and he ended up having Covid. And we didn't know day one because he was like, I can't come in. I can't talk. So he goes to the doctor to get tested for everything. And they say, you have covet. And we said that on the show. We posted it. And people on Instagram are like, kobe's not even real.
Daniel
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Why is he missing the show? Because covert just. Just stay home a day and go in like, it didn't matter which disease he had. It could have been flu. Covid. And he didn't go. I don't even have to defend Covid. It's.
Amy
Well, yeah, call it whatever you want. It was a. A virus that's contagious, and he shouldn't have come in.
Bobby Bones
And Morgan thinks a lot of her problems in her life are from Lunchbox. Like, her being sick all the time.
Daniel
She sits right next to him.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox. She said that while you were gone.
Lunchbox
What do you mean? She's never sick. I don't think Morgan's ever been sick since we've been here. I've never. How can I give her.
Bobby Bones
What is it called?
Lunchbox
Vertigo.
Bobby Bones
Vertigo. Covid.
Lunchbox
She was Covid before I ever had. So that ain't me.
Bobby Bones
I don't know that that's true.
Amy
That was the first one, I think.
Daniel
No, I was the first one.
Lunchbox
Eddie was first. Morgan was second.
Amy
Okay. Morgan was.
Bobby Bones
All I know is Lunchbox gave it to me, and then I started to feel. We wrote so true. You had it. You were not feeling good. We rode in a golf cart together. Then the next day, you're like, I'm sick. And I'm like. Two days later, I'm like, now I'm sick. And then it's like, I don't know. It could have been anybody.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I mean, I still think I could have Got it from you.
Daniel
No, you had it first.
Lunchbox
I. I just admitted to it first.
Bobby Bones
No, I wasn't sick. It doesn't matter. You're back. How long until he's sick again, guys? Two weeks. What's the. What's the over under on him being sick again?
Amy
I mean.
Daniel
I mean, it's been averaging about three weeks.
Bobby Bones
Once every three weeks.
Daniel
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
He misses a day.
Amy
I think it's further apart every.
Bobby Bones
He misses a day about every three weeks.
Daniel
Yes. Or his voice is all messed up and allergies, and we're like, are you sick?
Lunchbox
Oh, my gosh. Let me look at the calendar. I'll tell you, last time I was sick, okay?
Amy
I mean, time is flying, so I feel like. It feels like three weeks. It's probably more like five, six.
Lunchbox
Thank you, Amy. Well, you're right.
Amy
That's still a lot.
Bobby Bones
Morgan. Morgan has a lot of things happening with her body right now, and she thinks that you are a bad influence on it.
Lunchbox
I just disagree.
Bobby Bones
Right next to her, and you come in sick.
Lunchbox
Or it could be the opposite. She brings it to me. I mean, have we ever thought about that?
Daniel
But then you come in lunchbox saying, like, oh, my kids have strep, and, yeah, they got rsv, whatever it is.
Lunchbox
Okay. The last time I was sick was February 13th.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Lunchbox
Is that. How do you know that one's on strip? I pulled up the picture, so that's almost two months. Like, you guys are way off.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Even going home for multiple days every eight weeks is a lot.
Lunchbox
I don't know if it is.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox is back. So you're good, though, today? 100%.
Lunchbox
Oh, 100%. Man, I am here. Rocking and rolling. It feels good.
Bobby Bones
Could you go. Could you go run today if you needed to?
Lunchbox
I don't know if the lower section would allow that. That's still not working properly.
Bobby Bones
Like, your testicle still.
Lunchbox
I know. Above the testicle, right below the belly button. Right in that region. Still not working properly.
Daniel
There's something else now.
Amy
No, he's okay.
Bobby Bones
But this is another of his things, though. Now, he didn't miss work, but he has had to go to the doctor multiple times for his testicle and for his stomach. You guys are acting like he's only sick every. He's not. It's something. Every week and a half, there's a
Amy
new ailment, but these ailments that he's currently talking about are not contagious.
Daniel
So he's.
Bobby Bones
That we know of. My left testicle's been hurting a little bit lately. Where are you on that?
Lunchbox
Ah, man, I'm just struggling. Like, I mean, I go to physical therapy. We think it's something in the abductor region. So we've been doing exercises. Just. It's really a guessing game. No one can tell me. No doctor knows what's going on. Like, all doctors just say, I don't know. They throw their hands in the air, push you down the road to some other doctor. Push you down the road. At least the physical therapist takes time and talks to you and works on different regions to see how that feels. So hopefully it's getting better, but it's still there.
Bobby Bones
Are you saying to me that you go to a doctor and at the end of your session, your appointment, the doctor throws his hands or her hands into the air and goes, I don't know.
Lunchbox
Literally, they say, I don't know, but we're here if you need us. No, no, you just said you don't know. And what are you gonna do? They all. They say it. All of them.
Bobby Bones
I know, I know. He said this many times, but I've never been to a doctor. Even when they don't know, they go, not sure, but why don't we try this? Because it could possibly be this.
Amy
Well, they did say they kick the can down the road to the next doctor. So they are. Are they referring you to somebody else? Because that is a move.
Lunchbox
No.
Amy
Oh, well, so.
Daniel
But didn't one of them. Didn't one of them say, like, hey, let's just do one of these scans for fun colonoscopy?
Lunchbox
Yeah, we can just do it.
Bobby Bones
It just sounds like his life is a sitcom and he's just going to. The funniest thing's happening at every doctor,
Lunchbox
so there's nothing funny about it. It's not funny. Like, there's.
Amy
No.
Lunchbox
No, we're not laughing. Like, it's not like, ha.
Bobby Bones
We've had a few laughs. I'll be honest with you. We've had a few laughs on the show.
Lunchbox
Like, literally, the sports medicine doctor that I thought, okay, this is it. Like, it's not the, you know, hernia. It's not this. I'm going to go to her and she's going to be able to tell. It sent me for the mri and I come back and she literally said, yeah, nothing there. So I really don't know what to tell you, but I'm here if you need me.
Amy
Maybe they think he's imagining the pain.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's.
Amy
But I mean, obviously not the swollen testicle, but the lower abdomen. Like, could they think that you think it's there and it's not? So they're like, I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Maybe you just want the attention.
Lunchbox
Yeah, no, there's no attention, guys. I wouldn't make this up.
Amy
No, no, we know you're not making it up, but I'm like, what in the world would make a doctor be like?
Bobby Bones
I don't. I don't think they're saying that, guys.
Amy
Hands in the air. I don't know.
Bobby Bones
I don't believe that's what's happening. I think the doctors probably are confused and they cannot diagnose it specific to the problem. But I don't think ever in a million years would they go, I don't know, YouTube it, or throw their hands in the air and be like, I don't know.
Lunchbox
Doctor did say YouTube some exercises that'll
Bobby Bones
make it better, but that's okay if they.
Lunchbox
Oh, it's not. He doesn't even know. He goes, it could be this. So maybe just look on. Look on YouTube for some exercises to make it better.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so you're better.
Lunchbox
What exercises?
Bobby Bones
You had strep throat, then you had Covid. Now you're back to your testicle being swollen and your stomach hurting.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Did you forget about, though, for that? For a while when you had Covid?
Lunchbox
Yeah, because it felt good because I wasn't really doing anything. And like, the stomach thing, like, there's some days, like, I can play soccer and it feels okay, but then there's other days it's like I play like 15 minutes, and all of a sudden it's like, oh, there it is again. I can feel it. So, okay, I don't know.
Bobby Bones
As a gift to you, what kind of doctor would you like me to bring to the studio to examine you?
Lunchbox
I have no idea. That's the problem. I've seen so many different types of doctors that I don't know who is the right doctor. If you could get Bobby. I'm going to. I'm going to. I'm going to throw this out there. There is a doctor in town that works with professional football players, like soccer or football. No, no, no. I would say the Tennessee Titans doctor, team doctor, has probably seen every injury under the. The son.
Bobby Bones
Give me a name.
Lunchbox
I will find the name.
Daniel
Okay.
Lunchbox
And if you can get that person. Oh, my God.
Bobby Bones
If I can get him to come up to the studio. But the examination has to be on the air, on camera.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Daniel
Really? Everyone's going to be able to see your test?
Amy
Will the doctor do that?
Bobby Bones
Probably not, but we could try. Yeah, why not?
Amy
I mean, we did have a plastic surgeon come up and sew my ear together on air.
Bobby Bones
Little different. That's true. Yeah. Your ears.
Daniel
A little ear is bigger.
Lunchbox
Okay. His name is Niles Calder. Is that right? No. Come on. Dr. John Williams.
Bobby Bones
Oh. Now he just.
Amy
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Lunchbox
He was named the head physician in 2016. Is he still there?
Bobby Bones
We're glad Lunchbox is back.
Amy
2026.
Bobby Bones
He has had strep. He's had east infection. He's had. Yeah, he's had now the testicles back.
Daniel
Abdominal pain.
Bobby Bones
It's something. But we will try to figure this out together. All right, let's get the show started. We're this first segment of the day. Thank you, everybody. Hello, Bobby Bones. My wife is turning 30 soon. I want to do something special for her. She has an identical twin. Every birthday she's ever had has been shared with her identical twin. I get along great with her twin, but I don't want to have to plan to pay for a surprise for her, too. I feel like my wife deserves something that's just for her for once, but I don't know if that's possible. Am I going to have to just forget a big surprise because she has an identical twin sister? Would I be stepping into something sensitive if I planned something that broke their tradition? Signed married to a twin? I think both things can happen. Honestly, I think if it's a surprise and it's something that is personal, not 70 people. I think you can have a small surprise party for just your wife whenever she isn't expecting it. And she can still do whatever they always do as sisters. Right?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You're not canceling the twin celebration they normally do. They can still have that. But I think if you want to do something specific for your wife that is a surprise, I wouldn't run out Chuck E. Cheese and have a big. Because that'd be awesome. But. But I. You can definitely do something that's surprise for your wife. I think your wife would probably like that as long as she still gets to do her tradition of having her birthday with her twin. Thought.
Amy
Yeah, well, he. He obviously knows her better than us and we don't know her. So I would choose what is going to make her feel the best. And it might be both of the things like Bobby said, or might be like, are you really the one that wants to do this for her? If that's the case, I would maybe pump the brakes on it and figure out a way that you can. You Know, honor her birthday. It's her birthday. So if selfishly you're like, I really want to give her this surprise, and that's kind of making it about you. So figure out if it can be like Bobby saying, like, a duel. Like, two things can happen here.
Bobby Bones
I wouldn't do them back to back because if the other sister walks in, like, oh, yeah, surprise. But I do think you can do something for just your wife, and that's okay because it is your wife. And so I would encourage you because if you want to do this and you think she will love it, that's why you should do it. If you want to do it, like Amy said, and it's for you. I mean, I don't hate that either.
T-Mobile/US Cellular Announcer
Sometimes.
Bobby Bones
Sometimes I like to do some stuff and be like, look what I did for you. I think your wife deserves something from just you. I think you should also allow them to have their twin celebration as well. That's crazy because, I mean, I've never been a twin, and most twins do everything together their whole life. Well, no, most, like elementary school, they dress alike. High school, I go to college together.
Daniel
Right.
Bobby Bones
They're so close all the time. So, yeah, I'm sure that let them do their thing. But I think you can do something for your wife, too. Who knows? The other twin may be getting secret stuff from her husband all the time, and you don't even know about it. Yeah, good luck. Do what you think you should do for your wife because you love your wife. That would be our answer there. All right, close it up. Ryan Seacrest home is for sale for $20 million. If you guys want to buy it, the story comes from people. It says the American Idol and will of fortune host has listed his Napa Valley estate. Oh, this must not even be his main house.
Amy
Oh, it's not even primary. It says Napoleon.
Bobby Bones
His Napa home for 20 million. Shout out, Seacrest.
Daniel
Hey, dude earned it, so he works hard.
Bobby Bones
No, hate. The Property includes a 10750 square foot main house, a pool gym. A gym, a pool gym.
Daniel
Wait, what's a pool gym? That sounds awesome.
Amy
Maybe in the gym. In the pool house.
Bobby Bones
So far away. Yeah, you need two in case you don't want to walk to the other. A bocce court, like bocce ball, a guest cottage, a wine cellar, an infinity edge pool. I'm sure so much more than just that. Seacrest highlights the enclosed porch with Napa Valley views as his favorite spot, describing it as peaceful and unforgettable. So you can buy Ryan Seacrest home. I wonder if he knows this even goes up.
Amy
Well, like, what is it, like an actual listing or an article about it?
Bobby Bones
The listing is up, but it's an
Amy
article about the listing because that's what happened to you.
Bobby Bones
And it was weird because I said nothing about our house being for sale. I did not want it to be public. Nothing about that was because of me.
Amy
So it's probably same thing for him.
Bobby Bones
I have theories. My number one theory, Ryan Seacrest did it. My number two theory is somebody at a real estate team that was selling our house leaked it. Because all I know is I woke up one day, I got a bunch of text messages, and it was like, hey, your house is on tmz. And I was like, for what? Is that a fire? Because we had moved out of that one. They're like, no, the listing is up, and it's showing everything about it. It was really weird because I don't want that out there. That's why I was wondering if he wanted it out there now. There is something to. The more people know about it, the easier it can be sold. I just felt like, for me, that was too invasive.
Daniel
Is it weird to think that people are, like, looking at your bedroom and like, I didn't live.
Bobby Bones
We were out of there. If we were still living there, that
Amy
would have been more weird because then also, you're still living there and it's public where you are. In this case, this isn't his. Like, that was your primary house, but you'd already moved out. And if this isn't his primary house, maybe he doesn't care as much.
Bobby Bones
It'd be cool to have a house like that, except I don't give a crap about Napa Valley. I've never been. And people just say it's wine. I don't even like wine.
Amy
Yeah, it's beautiful, though.
Daniel
You've been Amy.
Amy
I have been.
Bobby Bones
But would you want a house? A second house? I mean, listen, we're talking super rich people things. I wouldn't want one so far away.
Amy
I would never go, no, I don't. I don't want a second house there. I went once, and that was plenty for me. Like, some people are like, oh, they go back to Napa. Napa all the time.
Bobby Bones
Do you gotta be wine guys to like Napa?
Amy
I mean, they have amazing food and it's really pretty. I don't think you. I mean, now I went with my ex husband when we were sort of newly married. We made a whole thing of it. So we went to San Francisco, and then we went to Napa Valley. So we made a whole little west coast trip out of it in a week.
Bobby Bones
That would be fun. It's too far. It's too far for me, getting on a plane and having.
Amy
But for Ryan, that's not far from him.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Amy
Unless he's. Well, he goes east, west.
Bobby Bones
Like, Ryan's got probably seven airplanes. I remember once. I don't think. I don't know if he'd like me saying this. I just got to know Ryan pretty well, and I liked Ryan a lot because we worked together four years on American Idol, and if we see each other now, he makes a point to come up and say hello. I never want to bother him because if I see him, it's only because he's working and he is in the middle of it. But he always makes a point to come up and spend a few minutes and be like, how are you? What's going on? Ryan gave me some really great money advice when we were on American Idol together. So it's been great.
Amy
So, like, what, What, What? What was the money advice?
Daniel
Get a house in Napa.
Amy
Do tell. Tell us more.
Bobby Bones
He was asking what kind of people I have watching my money because he knew I did not come from money. And he said, hey, I don't know how you got your people, but I can. If you need help or direction on people that you can trust. Like, I have people that I can trust. It was like that. It was. He pulled me aside. We run Hawaii doing American Idol. There was like 45 minutes of downtime. He was there, I was there. We were rarely together because we were just always working different jobs. And he was like, hey, man, let me talk to you for a few minutes. I didn't have anybody that did this for me, so let me talk to you about it. If you need this or that, this is what's happened to me. That wasn't good. I don't want this to happen to you, so please let me know. And I thought it was super kind. I called him once. This is so in the weeds. Do you want to hear inside baseball stuff? Yeah, I called him once because I was thinking about changing agents, and I said, hey, I'm thinking about changing agents and going to the agency that represents you and tell me the good things and the bad things. And he did. And I messaged him first. He didn't back for, like, two days. And I was like, I guess Ryan hates me now. You do that. And he was like. He messaged me, goes, hey, I'M he was on, like, a boat in another country. He goes, I will call you as soon as I get back to America. And he did. He was awesome. So he's. I really like Ryan. So that's all that was way inside stuff. But is that interesting?
Amy
Yeah. I mean, especially that you didn't hear from him from two days, and you were like, what. What's happening? And you see how. See how this is one of those examples of, like, always assume the best. Sometimes we jump to the worst of, oh, this person hates me. When really, if you assume the best, it's like, oh, he's enjoying himself in another country on a boat. So he didn't get it for two days.
Bobby Bones
I just thought he was probably busy. And you get a message, and maybe you don't hate the person, but you're like, oh, I'll get back to it. And then the dot goes away. And then you don't get. I have, like, two of those right now that just remembered. I gotta reply to.
Daniel
Oh, don't forget.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So Ryan Seacrest, a guy, if he asked me, he's always been super nice to me. And good luck on selling that house. And it's. It was so invasive when TMZ put that stuff up, but I know it was somebody inside, like, the circle that did it.
Amy
Well, that would be weird, though, because why would they want to jeopardize your.
Bobby Bones
They can't prove. I can't prove it was. Oh, and it wasn't.
Daniel
They get paid.
Bobby Bones
It wasn't like, my realtor, but I think it was probably somebody in that company. They get paid for it.
Daniel
Yeah. Like, if somebody was like, call tmz, like, hey, I got the inside scoop on Bobby.
Bobby Bones
No, but that's not the point of it. The point of it is for that the house to get sold.
Daniel
Right.
Bobby Bones
Because they make money off of that.
Daniel
And the point for tmz, though, like, what? It's just a cool story like this.
Bobby Bones
Because if you see somebody's house, trust me, on. In the world of celebrities, I ain't one, but I'm the bottom, bottom, bottom, bottom. And so because they can always go, like, former American Idol or Dancing with the Stars winner, like, that's enough for them to post it. It's always interesting to see how much people's house are selling for. Right?
Daniel
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Money's interesting.
Amy
Well, the amount people make Ryan's.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, well, Ryan's really famous. And then I wonder about Napa. Like, what I like it if I don't like wine. What's the deal? With wine, if you don't like alcohol. Real question. I don't drink. I've never had a drink of alcohol. If I. If wine did not have alcohol in it, would it still be good?
Amy
I mean, if you develop a palate for it, Some people more so than others, but I wouldn't.
Bobby Bones
Why would you develop a palate if there wasn't an alcohol?
Amy
It's hard to say, because it's like we've been drinking it for so long. It's like I can't remember my. My first sip of wine. If I think back to, like, a Pinot Grigio on a hot summer day, it felt refreshing. And if it's a yummy one, then yeah.
Bobby Bones
But does it feel refreshing because you know there is some buzz coming? I.
Amy
No, because I don't always have a glass of wine for a buzz.
Daniel
I would say yes to that. That question.
Bobby Bones
Because you understand my question.
Amy
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Cultural significance.
Lunchbox
It is.
Bobby Bones
If it did not have alcohol in it.
Daniel
No, because you would expect for it to taste like grapes.
Morgan
Guys.
Amy
It was Jesus's first miracle. Well, no, because I'm like, no, no, no, because I don't put wine and beer in the same category. Beer, your first sip. I. I don't know anybody who took their first of a beer.
Morgan
And it's like.
Amy
But wine is grapes.
Daniel
Like, it's fermented grapes.
Amy
Sure, I know, but it's got. It's definitely not as disgusting as I
Daniel
remember my first time. And I was like, oh, this is gonna taste like grape juice. And it did not taste like grape juice.
Bobby Bones
Is it possible that you two can just have different opinions and not, like, get at each other? Okay, good.
Amy
We're not at each other.
Daniel
Can we do that?
Amy
I just like to acknowledge the Lord's work also, Bobby, I do think I want. Well, I wonder if you could go to Napa, because part of that experience is you're going to these different vineyards and you're trying so much. And some people, they don't want. Their intent is to not get drunk. They want to enjoy the experience. So they have these big silver buckets everywhere, and you put the wine in your mouth and you swish it around in your palate.
Bobby Bones
No, I want to get drunk.
Amy
No. No, you don't, because you don't drink.
Geico Gecko
No, I do.
Bobby Bones
I want to get drunk.
Amy
Yes, I know, but because you don't drink, I wonder if you could go swish it in and then spit it out.
Daniel
I don't think so, man.
Bobby Bones
Why would I do that?
Amy
Because that's part of The. That's what you do.
Bobby Bones
I'm also. I can't eat cheese. What if I get cheesecake, chew it and they go and spit it out the in.
Amy
Well, I guess you're right. I mean, that's how you drink your bloodstream.
Daniel
You just put in your mouth, swish a little bit and spit it out.
Bobby Bones
I go to bars with the boys. I have a Heineken.
Amy
Well, I'm just saying, even people that drink and drink a lot, they are swishing it around and spitting it in the silver bucket.
Bobby Bones
But that's probably because they don't want to get so drunk because they're doing it over multiple days. They probably still get a little drunk.
Amy
Well, yeah, cuz you visit multiple.
Bobby Bones
Right. What if you just went hard and visited multiple and drank it all?
Daniel
Well, they do that.
Amy
It's very.
Bobby Bones
Maybe I could see Cross how to stay at his place.
Daniel
That'd be cool.
Amy
Be like, I'll highlight it on my Instagram for sale, help me sell it. Like how the influencers do. They get to stay at places for free and they go around and show every room.
Bobby Bones
Raymundo did that. He went to like in the mountains. Ray, didn't you guys stay somewhere? Yeah, yeah, we were in a hot tub and it was like called glamping is what it was.
Amy
Oh yeah, that place looked cool.
Bobby Bones
And they let him go for free. Yeah, as long as he showed it on Instagram. Yeah, it was a igloo. You could see through the ceiling at the stars at night. And they even had a hot tub too. Just the only thing that scared us was the potential for bears because it was in east Tennessee. And then also a rainstorm came in, so we left a little early.
Amy
I saw an influencer post rainstorm.
Bobby Bones
You're not on the ocean. Yeah, man.
Daniel
You have a roof.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, right. There were these creeks though. Get out of the hot tub and go inside. No, no going. Yeah. When we were going towards it, there were some of these old rickety bridges we were driving over. And I said, well, those creeks were pretty high when we came in. I would suggest we get out. Well, anyway, Seacrest is selling this house. It was invasive when they did that to me because I had no knowledge of it. I wonder if he has knowledge of it. Probably. Probably doesn't bother him because everybody knows he has money.
Daniel
Could you text him? Could you be like, hey bro, like, do you know your houses on tmz?
Bobby Bones
I'm sure he does. I don't really hey, bro, him. That's like a delicate relationship that I Only go to him when I need him.
Amy
Yeah, I would save the text. Something else.
Bobby Bones

Geico Gecko
And now for a bit of breaking news. Between your breaking news with me, the geico gecko, here are some things you ought to know today. People who switch their car insurance to Geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz. My ficus just heard that. And finally, animal experts have confirmed that goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish there.
Lunchbox
It feels good to get good news.
Bobby Bones
It feels good to Gecko Lunchbox has been gone for basically a week, and he now wants to do. What is it? Three crazy stories that we may have missed. Yeah.
Lunchbox
Three news stories that I saw, and I was like, oh, my gosh, I want to talk about those. They probably missed them.
Bobby Bones
Okay. We might not have missed them, though, right? Did you listen to the show at all?
Lunchbox
No.
Bobby Bones
Okay. All right.
Lunchbox
Enough time, man.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, right. Okay. Number one.
Lunchbox
Okay. Number one. There's a dude. She's. He's in the ocean. He's drowning, and it's like, oh, my gosh. And this lady's out for a morning walk, and she's like, float on your back. Float on your back. The waves will carry you in. He's like, I'm so tired. I'm gonna drown. She saves the dude's life. He gets to shores just like, I'm never going out that far again. And he leaves. Turns out he was wanted for a double homicide.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we talked about that. Yeah, we had. We hit that one.
Daniel
We hit that one.
Amy
Got it. Check.
Daniel
Thank you. Lunch.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's good.
Lunchbox
But how bananas.
Daniel
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Is that. That you save a life and he goes away, and then the cops show him. They're like, ah, man, he got away. And she's like, yeah. Oh, he killed his estranged wife and her boyfriend.
Bobby Bones
I believe Morgan brought us that story. Is that true, Morgan?
Morgan
I did, yeah. We talked about it on part two.
Bobby Bones
Is there any. Anything he forgot about that story?
Morgan
No, I think he nailed it.
Daniel
All right.
Lunchbox
I mean, how.
Bobby Bones
But we've already talked about the record. We've already done it.
Daniel
Those same reactions.
Bobby Bones
We all like, oh, my God, that's crazy. Then he ran away.
Lunchbox
Hold on, hold on, hold on. I haven't asked my question, though.
Bobby Bones
No.
Lunchbox
If you knew that person was a double murder suspect, would you save them?
Daniel
No, I. I feel like we asked that same question.
Bobby Bones
I'd call the cops.
Amy
Yeah, but.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I'd be like, hey, there's a double merch. Just back down the ocean. I'm gonna slowly get him in. But I need you guys to be here to arrest them. Yeah, but you wouldn't know that, because I think our question was, would you yell, like, hey, how many people you killed? Like, as they're coming in? We did jokes and stuff, too. So.
Daniel
Yeah, man, you missed it.
Bobby Bones
It was awesome. You missed. As a fun segment. All right, there's number one next story the lunchbox wants us to talk about that he thinks we might have missed while he was sick.
Lunchbox
Yeah. There was a husband and wife. They take a vacation to the Bahamas, and they're gonna sail from island to island, and they get off the sailboat, and they're on a little dinghy boat, and what do you know, rough seas. Wife goes order overboard, and the husband. Oh, I couldn't find her. And he was able to paddle for hours with one paddle, make it to shore to alert authorities. My wife went overboard. You got to go find her. I mean, from the jump, right when he made it to shore, first thing, I thought he did it, and turns out he got arrested.
Amy
Oh, I didn't know he got arrested. I don't know that we talked about this, but I did know this story, and I thought, I'm so naive. I was like, how tragic he lost his wife. And some.
Bobby Bones
It definitely could have been tragic. Yes.
Amy
Crazy currents or something. So what? Why did they arrest him? Lunchbox?
Lunchbox
Because they believe that he did it.
Amy
No, but I mean, suspicion. I know, suspicion, but they have to have more than just don't they have to have, like. Did he file an insurance claim the day before.
Daniel
That's another country. I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Is there proof that her body. Do they have her body? It's hard to arrest somebody if there's no evidence.
Amy
Yeah. Did he have another family?
Bobby Bones
Not arrest. It's hard to convict somebody, I should say.
Daniel
Right?
Amy
Yeah, but they can arrest him, but they can't hold them. So what country?
Daniel
Bahamas.
Amy
But were they American?
Daniel
They're American, yeah. Yeah.
Amy
Yes.
Lunchbox
Yeah. They're from Michigan.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
And they've been married for, like, 20 years. And following the incident, he was taken into custody.
Amy
Okay.
Daniel
Like, after talking to authorities, apparently she fell off the boat with the boat keys.
Lunchbox
Yes.
Daniel
And that's why he ended up.
Lunchbox
Stopped working.
Daniel
That's why he had to paddle back. Kind of weird.
Amy
Well, that makes me feel like she actually really fell off.
Bobby Bones
Like, what about it makes them think he did this?
Amy
That's what I want to Know, the
Daniel
mom says, the wife smiles.
Bobby Bones
Let's see if Lunchbox knows he brought the story. Go ahead.
Lunchbox
Well, the wife's daughter. So it's the guy's stepdaughter. Immediately said, I want a full investigation. Like, something is weird here. And so she went to authorities and was like, you need to fully investigate. You need to get involved. If it's a tragic accident, I can accept that. But it seems fishy.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's got to be more than that. That it seems fishy.
Lunchbox
And maybe she had stuff that she told the authorities, but they're not telling us.
Daniel
Right.
Lunchbox
And they looked into it and that that added up. But he was arrested.
Bobby Bones
Well, with only 3% of knowledge. What do you think happened, Lunchbox?
Lunchbox
Oh, he killed her.
Bobby Bones
Okay. There you go. It's all I need 3% to say
Amy
that isn't that crazy? Like, you think you're going out on a boat ride with your husband and he kills you?
Bobby Bones
Yes. That's crazy. No, but I mean, we also don't know if that's what happened.
Amy
Well, okay. Well, we do know that that one woman went hiking with her husband, and he, to push her over, hit her with a rock.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
She survived. So she was able to say, yes, this happened.
Daniel
That's so sad.
Bobby Bones
I don't think you can connect the two automatically, guys.
Amy
No, but now, I mean, be. Be. Be on guard. Hikes, little.
Daniel
Little paddle boats, anything.
Amy
Anything.
Daniel
Driving, shower, like, you never know.
Lunchbox
Tell your friends, never know who you're sleeping next to. Guys. I always tell you that. I've told you that forever. You think you know, but you have no idea.
Amy
No ide.
Bobby Bones
I agree. Except for if these people were murdered, I would bet you there were some indicators, clues. There were certain things that were happening within the relationship. That doesn't make it wild that that nutcase murderer murdered them.
Daniel
Exactly.
Bobby Bones
I don't think, like, I'm not going to murder my wife today or any day. Yeah. But I'm saying there's nothing that's happening between us in any negative way form. There's nothing, you know, underlying. There's not past stuff that we're working through right now that. That would constitute divorce, separation, murder, any of that.
Amy
Right. Because a lot of times the murder will come up because they do want to divorce.
Bobby Bones
Something else was happening. Yes.
Amy
And they do not want to lose half their money or whatever to do that.
Bobby Bones
By rock. That's crazier. Because you physically got to take a rock and, like, pound ahead.
Lunchbox
Yeah, yeah.
Daniel
Or bake. Huh. This is barbaric. Right?
Bobby Bones
Oh, I thought he said barbaic.
Daniel
Barbaric.
Lunchbox
He did say barbake.
Amy
I was like, barbaic.
Daniel
Oh, I don't know what I said.
Bobby Bones
All right, what's the other. Okay, lunchbox, you're one for two. Good job. Next one up.
Lunchbox
All right, the little girl that disappeared in Arizona 32 years ago, and then she went out to see her horse, disappeared. They never saw her again. They found her, and they weren't saying much. What? Turns out she's not talking to authorities. She's not telling them what happened. She's like, look, I've moved on with my life. I'm married now. I got three kids. I'm good. Don't want to talk about it. So I think she's not even.
Bobby Bones
A little background. A little background is owed on this. So this girl had been missing for 30 plus years. They find her. It turns out when they find her, a little bit of the story comes out too. Is that, like, they disappeared and the disappearance was. They didn't feel safe, Right?
Lunchbox
They didn't feel safe revealing what happened to her, but now they're saying that she's just not even cooperating. She's just like, hey, I'm good. Like, I'm happy now. I told my hus. My husband knew before we got married that, hey, I ran away. She got married as a teen, has three kids, went and got a degree, and now she works for, like, a private eye.
Bobby Bones
I'm good with her not saying. If she was running way early on for her own safety, I do not think she should reveal things that would make her unsafe again.
Amy
Right.
Bobby Bones
Point. If that's the case, we don't know much about it. A little bit here. I feel like, hey, if she did nothing wrong, I'm good with letting her live her life because she ran for a reason. Don't know the reason, but if the cops aren't like, you did something wrong, I. Good. Let her live her life. Don't even tell us who she is now. Like, I don't even want to.
Daniel
What?
Lunchbox
They said her name and she lives in.
Amy
I don't want to say it.
Lunchbox
Well, I didn't. I wasn't gonna say her name, but
Bobby Bones
I bet you were.
Lunchbox
But she's crazy. She ran away at 13, so I would love to hear her story, how she survived at 13 years old. Like, where did she go? Like, who helped her?
Daniel
Could she tell the cops? Like, I'm not gonna tell you guys anything because she's gonna put out a documentary.
Bobby Bones
She could tell the cops. I'm Just not gonna tell you anything and then put out a documentary. I don't think those two would go together, Officer. Come here. I'm not gonna tell you because I just signed a deal with Amazon.
Daniel
Yeah, everyone's gonna know.
Bobby Bones
I think that's it. Okay, Any other stories? Lunchbox from your week of sickness?
Lunchbox
Yeah, the Amy the Rock guy, he did. He was found guilty this last week. He.
Daniel
In court.
Lunchbox
Like, the verdict came back. He was guilty. So that's a bonus story for you.
Amy
Yeah, I mean, we knew that, though. But I guess he's just been found officially guilty.
Lunchbox
Yeah, he wept in court when they read the verdict.
Bobby Bones
I'd weep, too, if I was going to jail.
Daniel
Yep.
Amy
I mean, did he say what he was thinking?
Lunchbox
Now he's saying that she attacked him first and defending himself.
Bobby Bones
Do we know that that's accurate? Inaccurate? Like, what do we know?
Amy
Well, I mean, he was found guilty.
Lunchbox
Guilty by a jury.
Bobby Bones
Did he have any cuts? See, what I would do is I'd take a rock to my own head, like I would if.
Amy
Yes. That's what the psychos do.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's what you would do.
Amy
Yeah, that's what they. So they stab themselves.
Bobby Bones
If I, like, did some killing with a rock, I would take that rock and beat the crap out of myself and then lay on the ground.
Daniel
No, man, that's messed up, man.
Bobby Bones
Otherwise, I'm going to jail and I'm weeping after when I go to jail.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I don't want to have to murder.
Daniel
But you already did.
Bobby Bones
I know. So now I got to protect myself. So I'm beating myself up, and then I'm waiting for somebody to walk by on the trail.
Lunchbox
Help.
Bobby Bones
And I would say it was neither one of us. Some. The one armed man just attacked us with a rock. And now we're laying here. You know the thing where the psych. That, like the psychotic test, right?
Amy
No. What is it like if you. If someone yawns, you. John.
Bobby Bones
The funeral?
Amy
No.
Bobby Bones
Never heard the funeral test.
Amy
No.
Bobby Bones
I want to make sure I say this right. I think I've said this on the show, but it was a long time ago.
Amy
I don't remember what I even wore yesterday. So what.
Bobby Bones
What's the. So there's sociopaths and psychopaths, right? You know, the. I'm not asking in a dumb way.
Daniel
Is one better than the other?
Amy
I think sociopath is more preferred than psychopath. But I could be wrong. Only because at one point in time, a couple years ago, I was called a sociopath by someone in My life. And I had to do some research because I went to my. My friend Kat, who is a therapist, and I was like, read this letter. Do you think I'm. You know me well? Do you think I'm a sociopath? Because then I started thinking, what if they're right? And she was like, amy, you are absolutely not a sociopath. But I was being called one.
Bobby Bones
Psychopaths can easily be sociopaths. And they may, but. So not all sociopaths are psychopaths. Psychopaths kill. Psychopaths are insane. So here we go. Ready? A woman goes to her mother's funeral, and she meets a man she doesn't know.
Amy
Okay?
Bobby Bones
She feels an instant, deep connection with him, like, he's perfect, but she never gets his name or number, and he disappears. A few days later, she kills her sister. Why did she kill her sister?
Daniel
Was it.
Bobby Bones
This is the psychopath test? Why did. Sadly, I nailed it. Oh, I know. I'm not a psychopath. I have sociopathic tendencies. At times, I think. I think I'm just odd. I think I have some ocd. I think I'm alone Spectrum. I think I got a little. Little ingredient of all.
Amy
I don't.
Bobby Bones
I got a little dab of narcissism. Like, dude, I got. I got the whole pot. Do you want. Do you want it one more time?
Amy
I mean, I think I'm tracking. I just have no idea why she would kill her sister. She went to her mom's funeral, met a guy that she barely knew.
Lunchbox
How to deepen.
Bobby Bones
I want to read it to you one more time.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
A woman goes to her mother's funeral and meets a man she doesn't know. She feels an instant, deep connection with him, like, he's perfect, but she never gets his name or number. And he disappears. A few days later, she kills her sister. Why did she kill her sister?
Amy
He disappeared, though. He disappeared.
Bobby Bones
You're not a psychopath.
Daniel
I got something.
Amy
Oh, is. Is.
Bobby Bones
Is.
Amy
Is. Is her sister a man? He disappeared.
Bobby Bones
No, you're a nut, but you're not a psychopath. No, no, no, that's not it.
Daniel
What do you got one?
Bobby Bones
What?
Daniel
I think she believes that that man was her sister's dad.
Bobby Bones
No.
Amy
Her dad.
Daniel
Yeah. So her sister's really not her sister, but a half sister.
Amy
So why would she kill her, though?
Daniel
Because she didn't like that lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
Anything?
Lunchbox
Yeah, that was her sister's new boyfriend.
Bobby Bones
No.
Lunchbox
And she killed the sister, killed the dude. So the sister went and got revenge. Nope.
Bobby Bones
Because if the guy came for the. The Funeral of the mom. He's probably. No one knows the family. So if she killed his sister, that guy will come back to the next funeral, too, so she'll get a chance to see him again.
Amy
Oh, my God.
Daniel
I never thought of that.
Amy
Wait, did you guess that I did?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I'm not. That's not a brag. And when I did, I was like, oh, that's obvious. She wants to see him again. And if he knew the family. And then I'm like, oh, my God, I might kill somebody.
Amy
Well, no, I don't think you're gonna kill anybody.
Bobby Bones
I might be a murderer.
Daniel
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
I know.
Daniel
I'm scared now.
Bobby Bones
I wonder which one of you it's gonna be. That's the psychopath test.
Amy
I was like, her sister's trans.
Bobby Bones
Morgan is sending digital invitations for her wedding, and people are saying it's tacky that she's sending digital invitations.
Amy
Oh, I didn't think it was.
Morgan
Yeah, I just. I've been talking about it to friends and family, like, okay, so when will we get the invites or save the dates? And I was just like, oh, they'll be coming on your phone to a text, and every single time, it's like, oh, okay. So. So not over mail. It's like, they don't outright say it, but there's judgment. You know what I mean?
Bobby Bones
Do you feel did.
Daniel
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Are you ashamed that you're doing it?
Morgan
I wasn't until I started getting enough of those reactions, and I was like, maybe I am doing something that's, like, kind of tacky.
Amy
Not.
Morgan
Not a good idea.
Bobby Bones
I'll tell you something about a wedding. They get you on those invitations. Matter of fact, I just tell people they're invited. If they're up to me, I just call them and be like, you're invited.
Daniel
Don't forget.
Bobby Bones
It's such a waste of money to spend a bunch of money on paper invitations. If, you know part of your brand is, we like to flex how much money we have. We want to send invitations where a bird flies out of them. Like, more power to you. But when we look back at the things we spent the most money on that we like.
Daniel
What?
Bobby Bones
Why would we ever do that? It's invitations. It's the hundreds or even thousand dollars on just sending, like, really fancy paper invitations. So don't feel bad about it. It is not tacky to the people you probably care about the most. Yeah, probably. People that hold their noses up in the air. They probably think it's a little tacky. Who gives a crap about them.
Amy
I didn't think anything of it.
Bobby Bones
I don't think I got one.
Amy
One? You didn't.
Daniel
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
That's what that was. I thought it was a scam.
Daniel
I thought it was a scam.
Bobby Bones
We had a whole segment coming up about scams in a second and I thought that.
Daniel
That Morgan. I forgot your fiance's name, so I was just like, I don't know these people.
Morgan
But you knew my name.
Daniel
I know, but I didn't put 2 and 2 together cuz it wasn't from you.
Morgan
It was from.
Amy
Yeah, but it says Morgan and. Oh, I didn't know Morgan and Braden invited you to a Happy Everly after party. And we know she's eloping. Ish. And that she's gonna have an after party in the fall.
Bobby Bones
I don't have one.
Morgan
It got sent to you?
Bobby Bones
No.
Morgan
You didn't get a text?
Amy
Yeah, no, look, and it's. It's like a digital invite. It's got the. Hello, Blake, look.
Bobby Bones
Tell me this is Morgan number two. What do I have here? From her.
Morgan
It wouldn't have come from my number.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Oh, then I for sure thought I was getting scared.
Amy
That's why I thought it was coming.
Morgan
Random number.
Amy
Lovebird.
Bobby Bones
Well, what the heck?
Daniel
I know, man. I almost deleted that one immediately.
Bobby Bones
You. Dude, I'm not kidding. I see it. And it's from an 877 number. So it's like an 800 number that's coming from that Morgan and Braden and. Dude, I didn't look at this because it was from a number I didn't know with a link. I thought they were gonna like, take my bitcoins.
Morgan
So maybe this is why this is a bad idea. Maybe people didn't even realize that it was not a scam.
Daniel
You should send a text to people and be like, hey, heads up. This is going to be the invitation. Because I. No idea.
Amy
Okay, but I mean, could you do that? Like, I don't know how many invites went out, but that's probably.
Morgan
Yeah, I would just text. I didn't realize that this was gonna be a thing because I just check all my texts. Even if it's a scam, but I'll delete it.
Daniel
I might have reported it now.
Amy
Last night.
Bobby Bones
That's funny. I don't remember, but sometimes. I'm telling you, I never saw that. I probably saw it, but it came from a number I didn't know and there was a link in it. I never looked at it.
Morgan
That's funny. I didn't even think about that side of this, because, yeah, it's not coming from us. It's coming from their website.
Bobby Bones
If you did not expect this message from an unknown sender, maybe spam report. Spam done. This was. You sent this yesterday?
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. No way. I. I for sure thought that was spam.
Amy
Oh, I saw it right when it came in, and I saw the names. I was like, oh, duh, they're getting married. This is the invite to their party.
Daniel
I was literally. I don't know, Morgan, it is.
Bobby Bones
It is tacky to scam people for your wedding. It's very tacky to scam us. I would think. Most people don't know what that is. I know if they're vigilant, like I am about not clicking stuff, I didn't look at it.
Morgan
And so maybe that's where this becomes a thing. It's digital invites. Because this is the only way to do it. You text or email. And either way, you could think, those are spam now.
Daniel
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I would text people up front, be like, hey, you're gonna get a text. It's gonna be this. Don't. It's not a scam. Okay, yeah, that also, I'll say it's Eddie. Eddie's upset that. That you're going on a bachelorette party.
Daniel
Well, no, see, guys, I'm telling. I'm an idiot. I'm an idiot. I thought that that was somebody else's bachelorette party. I didn't even think it was hers.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's why I thought you were weird. Eddie was like, I can't believe Morgan gets to miss work to go on somebody's bachelorette party. And I was like, no, it's her bachelorette party.
Daniel
I am so, like, out of the mind frame that she's getting married. That, like, I didn't even think. I was like, she's getting Friday off for a bachelorette party. That's the dumbest excuse I've ever heard.
Bobby Bones
He said, well, then I'm gonna start going to all my boys parties too.
Amy
Okay, Boys parties. Hold on. I feel like Bobby would work. Even if it was your best friend getting married, you would. If there was a bachelor or bachelorette party, he would work it out.
Bobby Bones
What I would not say is, you would not know she was going to her friend's bachelorette party. It would just be like, Morgan had stuff to do. I'd make sure you guys didn't know,
Daniel
and then we wouldn't get upset, be like, oh, it's probably work stuff. Yeah, but a bachelorette party?
Bobby Bones
You're like, she's fired up. Morgan, he's fired. He's like, I can't let Morgan go to a bachelorette party.
Morgan
So first you think I'm a scam, and now you're mad that I'm going on my own bachelorette party?
Daniel
Yeah, that's on me. My bad.
Bobby Bones
So that is her. Everything going good, though?
Morgan
Yeah. I finally figured out the place that we're going to go for the bachelorette, which was kind of a big deal. I originally really wanted to go to Lake Tahoe, but that. Oh, my gosh, I've never knew that was so expensive.
Bobby Bones
It's also very far from here. I've been. It's awesome. It's far. Do you want to go far?
Morgan
I didn't. I just wanted to go somewhere I've never been. Like, I didn't want to do the traditional bachelorette where you go to Vegas or you go to Scottsdale or, like you're partying in the.
Amy
Or Nashville. Everybody comes to Nashville.
Daniel
You're in Tonuca.
Bobby Bones
Good.
Morgan
Well, so we're going Temecula.
Daniel
No, no, no. What's the place down the road?
Bobby Bones
Tunica.
Daniel
Tunica? Yeah. You should go to Tunica.
Bobby Bones
What did you call it?
Daniel
Tunuca.
Bobby Bones
Man, Tunica has all the casinos. Like Mississippi. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Amy
So where are you going?
Morgan
So I wanted a lake weekend and vibes like that. So I actually looked in Arkansas at one point. Cause there's a really cool lake in Arkansas.
Bobby Bones
I know people. What lake? Like Ouachita?
Morgan
Yeah, that was one that I looked at, but I couldn't find any Airbnbs to.
Bobby Bones
It was Ouachta or Tunica. It was Oachita or Tun. You can't get a lake. Washtaw doesn't allow houses on it because it's a corps of engineer lake. But you get one. Close, but. Okay. You didn't choose that?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I'm insulted. Go ahead.
Morgan
Sorry. But I did look. I was looking in all the places. Ultimately, we decided on a place called Lake Geneva in Wisconsin.
Amy
Oh, cool.
Morgan
It's about like an hour and a half outside of Chicago.
Bobby Bones
Do you know that's where they had the Geneva Convention?
Daniel
Is that right?
Bobby Bones
No, that's not my country.
Morgan
It's in Geneva country. Like an actual country at Geneva Convention.
Bobby Bones
It's in like, Europe, I believe. No, I don't know what's. What's. So what's Lake Geneva?
Amy
It's just supposed to have, like, it's
Morgan
a really pretty lake and There's a cool 12 mile walking path that's kind of in and around it. And then they have a really cool downtown. So had all the vibes that I wanted. Yeah, Bars downtown, local and on the water bars. So I wanted, like, a lake weekend.
Amy
That's a fun vibe. My friend Kat, we did her bachelorette party in Asheville, and it was like there was the vibe of hiking and you're in the woods, but then there's good restaurants and bars downtown. And we did. It was a mixture of both and.
Morgan
Yep. And that's what I wanted. Which is hard to find, but Arkansas has it.
Bobby Bones
I'm still partial to, like, Ouachita or Geneva, Switzerland.
Morgan
I would go to Geneva, Switzerland. That'd be cool.
Bobby Bones
That'd be cool, huh?
Morgan
Yeah, that'd be really cool.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay, Good luck. And I will now go to the text that I thought was trying to scam me out of my money, and I will click rsvp. Some people have a Starbucks order depending on their mood. That means they help you win, not just window shop. Redfin is built to help you go from just looking to wait. This could actually be home. So become the newest neighbor on the block. Visit redfin.com to start finding and start owning redfin.com all right, these are the scams that people are falling for the most. So number one is the toll booth text. You guys ever get those?
Amy
Yep.
Bobby Bones
Oh yeah, me too. I don't even live where there's a toll, right? And I started thinking, did someone drive my car through is that license plate? But if you receive a pay now for a missed toll, that's the number one scam people are getting hit by. Avoid it. Don't click it. Don't click the link. That's number one. Number two, IRS scan the IRS calls you threatening legal action in Jail if you don't pay delinquent taxes. Everyone listening? I would like to tell you. And I've needed to be told this too. The IRS will never cold call you. Never, never will. You answer your phone and it be, hey, it's the irs. Here, hang up. That's it. Next up, this one. This is a good one. Package delivery text. We get so many packages coming to our house. And then like at ups, they do have our cell phone numbers. And so I get a text, hey, click here for your package. Or it didn't come through. Oh, yeah, click here. Because I actually order things and then I want to track. So what you need to do is if you get one of these texts, because sometimes they're even real. That's what's tough, is you do get a text from ups, go to the tracking website. Don't click the link. Just generally speaking, bank account alerts. If you get a suspicious activity alert through phone or email, even if it's your bank, do not click the link. Call. Call the bank. Get on your banks, log into your bank and see what's up. But call, because you will not get that through a text. Fake job offer, romance scams. All you guys have been married to somebody online, right?
Daniel
Yeah. Well, she tried to hit on me. Her name was Jane or something.
Amy
Judy.
Daniel
Judy. Judy.
Amy
Yeah.
Daniel
She said, hey, steak and wine. And I was like, I love steak and wine.
Bobby Bones
Who doesn't, right? How about fake tech support? You ever get those?
Amy
Yeah, I mean, I've gotten stuff from the Geek Squad.
Bobby Bones
The real one?
Amy
No.
Bobby Bones
A scamming Geek Squad, DM or email shows up alerting you to a problem with your account. And you got to log in to fix it. And they steal your credentials. Whatever else you give them, whenever you log in, they got it. It's how Lunchbox was robbed of his Robinhood account.
Daniel
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
They texted him and said, oh, yeah, here you go. Give us your username and password, we'll fix it. Okay. He lost all his money. Social media account resets. If you get one of those, you need to reset your account. Don't fake charities and crypto investment scams. Basically, I'm going to put a bow on this. If you get a text to your phone, do not click the link. That's it. Now, the one time I would say click the link, we do the St. Jude radio thon, and whenever you text in, it sends it back to you. And we're like, that's a link.
Daniel
You can tag, good link.
Bobby Bones
But the toll booth texts, never. The IRS scams Never the package delivery ones. Never. Those are the ones that are always are, like, in my box sometimes, too. They'll go like, hey, somebody's gotten your Netflix account, and you know this price you need to fix. And I'm like, well, I am on Netflix. That's probably.
Daniel
Yeah.
Amy
Oh, I saw someone post the other day, like, beware of. You know how those I am not a robot things you click? So they're getting really good, and it looks just like it because that has a very specific look. And it's got, like, a wheel with the arrow. They all look the same. I'm not a robot. You click it. Well, so scammers have made it look like that to you. Click it. But then they're like, oh, we enter in these letters, you see? And the letters that are up there that you type in, whatever those letters are on your computer gives them access to your computer, and then all this malware ends up on there. So, like, don't ever click I'm not a robot and follow any more instructions like, you're not a robot. And that's the only question.
Bobby Bones
Huh?
Morgan
But it's.
Amy
If you. If you click it and it starts having.
Bobby Bones
I don't fully understand that. But.
Lunchbox
But.
Amy
Well, I'm saying if you click I'm not a robot, and then it asks you more questions to Type, Type A S 7, 6, 4, colon.
Bobby Bones
Like, no, I want to prove I'm not a robot. No, no, no, no, I'm not. If I need to go three layers deep to prove to them, that's the.
Amy
That is the red flag to let you know you just clicked a fake. I am not a robot. And now it's getting you to type in a special code that then gives them access to your computer. I saw this online, so it must be real.
Bobby Bones
The other thing that I would be super weary of, when you get an email and it says anything about what you owe, anything about, you need to reset one. It's probably not true. Occasionally it is, which is what's weird. But what you need to do is go to the sender email address.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
And click that opening so you can see what it is. And it'll always be something like elementop. Jack, jack, jack, jack, jackotmail.com.
Daniel
yes.
Bobby Bones
Unless it's real. Like, look at that. First and foremost, anything you guys have almost been gotten by.
Daniel
I got one recently that it said I had a speeding ticket, and if I don't pay by Friday, a warrant for my arrest is gonna be out, and you need to take care of this. Quick. But I did what you did. Check the sender. Muhammad Abdoulaye from gmail.com.
Bobby Bones
guy comes to me all the time. He's like, you owe me for a toll. Same guy, man. Morgan, Anything?
Morgan
Oh, yeah. I have a game on my phone that I like to play and I fell for getting some more like game credits to keep playing. And I on clicked, clicked the link. And that next day is when I was fighting with the hackers in my Venmo account when they were trying to get it.
Bobby Bones
You clicked the link. You love that game.
Morgan
I really love the game.
Bobby Bones
All right, so everybody take from this. If you get an email, click into that sender and see who is sending it. Because it's going to be something all jacked up. That's number one. Number two, if you get a text on your phone, don't click a link. Just don't click a link unless it's from us at St. Jude at the end of the year. Other than that, you're good. Bones wake up. You wake up in the morning, then you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turning. His wigs. Next bit. And Bobby's on the mic. So you know what this is? This is the Bobby Vaughn. Now time for the morning corny.
Lunchbox
The morning corny.
Amy
Why did the jaguar eat the tightrope walker?
Bobby Bones
Why did the jaguar eat the tightrope walker?
Amy
He was craving a well balanced meal.
Bobby Bones
There you go. Okay, that was the morning corny. All right, voicemail time. Let's go. I hope your wife knows how special she is and she did create that. Beautiful people. Baby, don't let any negativity affect you. You guys are wonderful parents. If you missed the show last week, I was talking about how my wife, who's rarely on social media, posted an Instagram story and it was our baby's hand. And she was like, it's so cool. I created this. And it was like just a loving picture. And the listener was like, you didn't create that. God did. You need to stop taking credit. My wife's like, is this how bizarre social media is? I can't even say that it. So I, I, I appreciate that. Thank you. And that logic, I'd like to go to that logic. In anything that that woman has ever done in her life, if she takes credit for anything at all, like, then you don't get credit for that. God does. So stop taking credit for it. You made an A on an exam in 11th grade. It's not you.
Amy
It's weird.
Bobby Bones
So God created you and then Gave you the ability to make decisions and do and achieve and create. People on social media are weird. Some of you are awful. I hate. Some of you love. Some of you hate. Some of you think you should be banned from social media.
Amy
All right, next up, this week, I think it was Monday or Tuesday on the Price is Right.
Bobby Bones
It was the last game of the day.
Amy
Somebody was playing the game that Lunchbox
Bobby Bones
played, and one of the prizes was
Amy
a big tv and they were showing
Bobby Bones
clips from one of the previous shows, and it was Lunchbox. So I'm sure Lunchbox would like to
Amy
know that he lives on.
Bobby Bones
On the Price is Right. You live on your thoughts.
Lunchbox
Wow, that is so cool. I had no idea they did that. I knew they gave away TVs, but I didn't realize it was clips of old shows. And they put me. That is incredible. I made the prices right twice.
Bobby Bones
Make you feel good.
Lunchbox
It does make you feel good. I'm about to go find that episode.
Amy
I mean, it is kind of cool that they were. They have so much footage to choose from. And they thought, ah, the guy in the tux, let's go with Daniel.
Daniel
That's exactly what they say.
Bobby Bones
I thought Amy was really gassing him up there. All of that was a setup for her to call him Daniel.
Amy
No.
Bobby Bones
Like I was gonna agree with you. And I was gonna say, that's awesome.
Amy
It is cool.
Bobby Bones
And it's probably for two reasons. One, he was a good contestant. And two, it's recent. Like, those two things.
Amy
Yeah. Yes.
Bobby Bones
And I was like, look at Amy really shining the light on Daniel.
Amy
Yeah, I know. Because that's what they. That's what they. I was picturing them actually in the. The room with all the tape, and they're like, what about the.
Bobby Bones
The Daniel. The Daniel guy?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Daniel. How. How. How do you feel about that, Daniel?
Lunchbox
You guys are rude. No,
Daniel
we bursted his bubble. I really.
Bobby Bones
I was like, Amy's really landed on. This is very nice of her.
Amy
It is cool.
Bobby Bones
It is cool. Daniel, you did a good job. If you guys want to leave us a voicemail, you can leave it. About me, Amy, Eddie, Daniel.
Lunchbox
Anyone you want?
Bobby Bones
877-77-Bobby. That's our number. 8777-B- O B Y Bobby Bone show Bonehead. Story of the day.
Lunchbox
This story comes to us from Kansas City, Missouri. A man went through a Wendy's drive through to get some food for his family. Got it. And he's driving off and he spills his drink and drink. So he goes back through the drive through. Hey, can I get another drink, it's spilled, you know, and they see it spilled and he's like, I'm not giving you another drink. So they're getting an argument. The customer drives off, and as he's pulling out of the parking lot, manager comes out. Boom.
Bobby Bones
The manager shoots.
Lunchbox
Shoots him. What?
Bobby Bones
The manager, by the way, nobody should be shooting, but I thought maybe the person who spilled the coke. You deserve another drink. They're free anyway. And you, you spilled. You get one if you do four in a drive thru. I get it. I thought maybe he would shoot cuz he's crazy. I didn't expect the manager to come out and shoot.
Lunchbox
Now the manager was mad that the guy was disrespectful.
Amy
Well, on earth, I don't know. I just feel like if you've been promoted to managerial type position, you don't
Bobby Bones
behave that way to get that.
Daniel
Yeah, I guess not.
Amy
Interesting.
Lunchbox
And when police arrived, they found the gun hidden in the walk in freezer.
Daniel
Wow. He dumped it in the freezer. He's like, what do I do with this?
Bobby Bones
You gotta do a better job of getting rid of that gun.
Amy
Well, they know he had it, but
Bobby Bones
you gotta throw it in the dumpster. Yeah, but if you can't find it,
Daniel
I think dumpster is the first one they look at.
Bobby Bones
You know, they look in the freezer in the building.
Daniel
Oh, I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Or you, you put it in a happy Meal and put it in a car.
Lunchbox
There we go. There we go.
Daniel
Oh, yeah.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Okay, I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day, Bones.
Bobby Bones
All right, quick. The story is Eddie wanted to buy a cow. And he was like, hey, everybody, buddy, let's get in and buy a quarter of a cow. 900 for the quarter. You get all this meat, but the meat doesn't come till next year. I passed. Amy was like, I might be in. And then Eddie left her in the dust and didn't even go back to it.
Daniel
Yeah, she snoozed too long.
Bobby Bones
One day. One day. One day.
Daniel
You didn't even go back to it. She found a third.
Amy
No, you just.
Bobby Bones
It's bull crap. He snoozed.
Amy
The third called you and you were like, okay, you weren't. You, you could have said, oh, I actually mentioned this to Amy, so let me check with her.
Bobby Bones
And you didn't.
Daniel
I did not check with Amy.
Bobby Bones
So then Eddie's like, well, I don't have a deep freezer. And Amy, being the kind person she is, goes, I can help you with a Deep freezer. Even though you left her out.
Daniel
But she's like really good on Facebook Marketplace. So she's good at that stuff.
Bobby Bones
So she has found possible you a deep freezer.
Daniel
Oh, okay.
Amy
I have found a gently used deep freezer. Arctic king. 5 cubic feet or whatever that means.
Daniel
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
What does that mean?
Amy
It's like this big.
Bobby Bones
Five feet long.
Lunchbox
Oh, it's.
Bobby Bones
That ain't gonna hold that much meat.
Amy
It's a cube. No, no, no, it will. Okay, that's what I need. I need to know. Eddie got a fourth of a cow. So I need to know how much space does that take up and then I can help because the capacity of this is 142liters.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. You're using numbers? I don't even know. I need American numbers.
Amy
It's got an adjustable dial for easy temperature control.
Bobby Bones
What are you willing to spend on one of these?
Daniel
I mean, I feel like something used like that would be good for 200 bucks.
Amy
Sure, no problem. I'll sell it to Eddie for $200.
Bobby Bones
There you go. And you gotta make a little yourself, right?
Lunchbox
What's it worth?
Daniel
What are they selling for?
Amy
Hey, don't you worry. I got you. There's always room for negotiation. I'll get you a deal. You pay me 200, I'll figure it out.
Daniel
Because I left her out. Now she's going to like.
Bobby Bones
You can also get on Facebook Marketplace and find one yourself.
Daniel
I know, but I've never done it. She sells.
Bobby Bones
She's never done it either. Until she did it.
Amy
What?
Daniel
Oh, no. She sells and buys all the time.
Bobby Bones
No, until she did it the first
Amy
time, she never did. Yeah, but I mean, I have it down.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. What. What's the price for that?
Amy
$75.
Bobby Bones
75 bucks?
Daniel
That's pretty good.
Amy
He was about to pay 200.
Daniel
Amy. I'm in. But I do need to know more about the dimensions. I'm not sure what cubic feet are and all that.
Bobby Bones
A quarter of a cow typically requires 3 1/2 to 5 cubic feet to a dedicated freezer space.
Amy
Perfect. This is 5 cubic feet.
Bobby Bones
This amount of meat, roughly 80 to 115 pounds, will fit comfortably into a 5 cubic foot chest freezer. Or fill about half of a standard 7 to 10 cubic foot freezer. But didn't you say you wanted stuff I don't know, for popsicles? Correct.
Daniel
That's what I was thinking, like ice cream.
Amy
Okay, then I can find you a larger one. I was just trying to find it
Bobby Bones
for the quarter of the. He's splitting the quarter of the cow with two other people. He got plenty of room.
Amy
Oh, I thought he's splitting the cow.
Bobby Bones
No, no, no.
Daniel
That would be way too expensive. I can't handle that. Hey, speaking of, do you want to see the cow? I got a picture of it last night.
Bobby Bones
That is a real cow. That's like, when I would. Why do you do that? Back in the day, I'd see those Sally Strothers commercials, and it's like, adopt a kid from Africa. And turns out the kid I got, seven other people got the same kid, and they were just sending a kid.
Daniel
This is my friend.
Amy
No, but some of the organizations. It's legit kids.
Bobby Bones
Okay, but this one, I got the same kid as everybody else's, and it wasn't. They were just sending that off as a picture. But I wasn't gonna fly over and meet the kid. How was I to know?
Daniel
Yeah, I know this guy. He wouldn't do that to me. Send me a picture of the cow last night. Do you wanna see it?
Bobby Bones
Well, the thing is, you're gonna kill
Amy
the cows we least suspect.
Bobby Bones
You're gonna have to kill the cow you're having a relationship with.
Amy
Yeah. Eddie's like, do you wanna go visit it? And I'm like, no.
Daniel
It's kind of cool that we own a cow. I think that's awesome.
Bobby Bones
You own a quarter of the cow, right?
Amy
I guarantee you that.
Bobby Bones
Let me see it.
Daniel
You wanna see the picture?
Bobby Bones
I don't have a relationship with it, so I'm not.
Amy
If I got to know that cow.
Bobby Bones
I don't even watch cow documentaries. I don't wanna. Oh, I'm freeing that cow. I'm gonna be like those protesters. They go and let the animals out.
Daniel
No, I paid money for this cow.
Amy
I'll go with you.
Daniel
It's pretty cool. Hey, he has more cows, too. So we want to buy more. We can buy more.
Bobby Bones
Guys, I would only buy cows if I could buy a cow and invest in a cow to sell later. I'm not trying to buy for meat.
Daniel
I did ask him that. I said, hey, do you need investors? Because we could. Bobby and I could do that.
Bobby Bones
What do you mean? We got him out your pocket?
Daniel
Yeah, man. We go in business together.
Amy
Bobby, get the cow, put it on your land. It'll be a tax break.
Bobby Bones
On my land?
Amy
Ye. That's what I hate.
Daniel
Stanley would hate that you have all
Amy
that land in the back.
Bobby Bones
That's woods.
Amy
Okay, but I don't.
Daniel
I don't think you're hoa. Do you have an hoa?
Lunchbox
No.
Amy
He doesn't have an hoa. However, I do. I don't know.
Bobby Bones
I am the HOA where I live.
Amy
I don't know if where you are there could be a no hooves law, but I don't think so because I see cows and horses near you.
Daniel
Hey, you want a cow? No, I can get you one.
Bobby Bones
What's the deal? Buy this. Just buy this freezer and get it over with.
Daniel
Okay, I'll do this, that, but I mean, the meat's not cheap.
Bobby Bones
Just have her send you the link and then you go do it.
Daniel
What's the distance? Because you have. I saw that. You can, like, look at. How far is this from your house?
Amy
Yeah, let me look. I mean, yeah, Eddie's. I'm not gonna go pick it up.
Bobby Bones
That's what he's gonna want you to. Are you good at this? Why don't you go pick it up?
Daniel
I'll pay you a hundred dollars. You pick it up.
Amy
Oh, you would?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I'll pick it up for a hundred dollars.
Lunchbox
No, no.
Daniel
$100 total. It's 75.
Amy
It's not far. It's in Franklin.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no.
Lunchbox
I'm out then.
Amy
No, it's in Franklin.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you got it.
Daniel
All right, go get it.
Amy
It.
Bobby Bones
So Eddie bought a cow and a bunch of meat? Yes. And he has a picture of the cow?
Daniel
Yep. This is one of the coolest things I've ever done.
Bobby Bones
