The Best Bits of the Week with Morgan Part one.
Scuba Steve
Behind the scenes with a member of the show.
Morgan
What's up, friends? Happy weekend. I've got squad. Scoobs. Steve. I was going to say. I was going to say my nickname for you, Scoobs. And then I was like, I don't know that anybody knows me. So. Scuba Steve, Scuba Keem AKA Scoobs to me. Yes. What's up, Scuba?
Scuba Steve
Nothing. How you doing?
Morgan
I'm good. I want to talk to you about the cruise because you haven't gotten to share your kind of post. Highlights of the cruise.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Can I start with all the people that I want to mention that were awesome?
Morgan
Yeah. Is there like a long list over here?
Scuba Steve
Well, I'll show you. Here's a list right here. So I'll go through it as fast as I possibly can.
Morgan
Okay.
Scuba Steve
By the way, this is a podcast. This isn't a radio show. So I don't have to hit A commercial break or anything only have you
Morgan
for a limited amount of time.
Scuba Steve
Yes, you do. Yes. So I want to start with that. By the way, everyone I met was amazing, and I try to take notes of everyone in my encounter. And so if I didn't. If I don't mention you, it's not that I didn't have a great time. It's just that you may have caught me at a really busy time, and I didn't have a moment to take a note of what the experience was. But first, let me start with Jesse. We all remember him, and I shouted him out at our q and A. He was the one that made us all those pens.
Morgan
Yes.
Scuba Steve
And I sat with him at the end of Bobby's show at the theater, and he's like, hey, I want to give you this pen. I have one for everybody. I was like, that's so. That's so cool. And he's like, yeah, whittled him down. He made it himself. And he made a custom pen for everybody. Mine had, like, a scuba diver on. It says Scuba Steve. It's so fricking cool. I don't know. What was yours?
Morgan
I had all the superheroes, the Avengers on it.
Scuba Steve
Oh, cool.
Morgan
Super cool.
Scuba Steve
That's really, really cool. Hell, yeah. That's sick.
Morgan
Yep. I added it to my pin collection.
Scuba Steve
Nice. Yeah, yeah, I use mine. So, Jesse, thank you very much. And then Ellen, who is the mother to Devin, she's the daughter. They live in New Jersey and her mom works in tv. I met them the first day I was trying to find water and update.
Morgan
I found water through Ellen or just you found Ellen by way of finding water.
Scuba Steve
While I was looking for water, I heard someone say, there he is, There he is. And I was like. And I was like, there he is, There he is. And I turned around and they go, it's you. And I'm like, who's me? And they go, scuba. I'm like, okay. Because I just never assume that anyone knows who I am.
Morgan
Yeah, I'm the same way.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Yeah. So I was like, oh, hey, what's up? We talked for a little bit. Her mom works in TV up in New York, and they're really nice, really kind people. Met him the very first night on the ship.
Morgan
Okay. Love that.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Tony. I don't know if you ever ran into Tony.
Morgan
Tony the tiger.
Scuba Steve
No, not Tony. She is great. She is. I think she came by herself. She's from South Carolina. May have not been a big fan of the show or not really knew the show initially, but Now I think is listens to the show. She was a woman that I saw her many times, the kindest person on the ship, where she would meet somebody like one of the workers or the people that turned over her room and she would find out, because a lot of these people, they come from the Philippines or other countries.
Morgan
Oh, the best thing to do on a cruise is talk to the employees of the ship because they're from all over the country. I sat there and talked about Africa with one for 20 minutes.
Scuba Steve
Yes. And they were from all over. And they go on these ships for six months. They leave their family where they come from. The reason why they do this is because the paying rate, let's say, I mean, this is exaggerating a little bit, but they may work for a full day over there and they make a dollar and they come on the cruise ship and they make hundreds of dollars. And so they're able to send like one guy I talked to who's a bartender over by the casino, he's like. Yeah. He goes, my kids all go to private school. My wife doesn't have to work. They have all the nicest things. And he goes, yeah, I only see them for two months out of the year. But he's like, they live like kings and I'm providing for my family. And I was like, wow, this is so cool that they do this. And it's a major sacrifice, but for a purpose. So what Tony does is she finds out what they like and what they're into and what their favorite things to eat are. And then when she goes off port, she goes and buys them like the snacks or sandals or whatever it is, and she brings them to them as like a gift, which is so freaking cool.
Morgan
Okay. So I can't. I don't know if it's this one. I did meet a woman who was traveling alone. She was super sweet and she was just like very shy, but she was at everything, wanting to. To help everybody and hang out. I don't know if that's the same one. And then I met another Tony, but I think she was from Tampa because I remember the alliteration.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
So I don't know if it's either one of those.
Scuba Steve
I don't think it's Tony from Tampa because she lives in South Carolina, but also lived in California and a couple other places.
Morgan
Okay.
Scuba Steve
She. She was a little bit shorter, probably about your height, so so not short for you. And she had like shoulder hair length blonde hair.
Morgan
Okay.
Scuba Steve
Maybe like in her 50s.
Morgan
I love it. Yeah.
Scuba Steve
Okay. Yeah. Super kind lady. Hector the Marine. Do you meet him?
Morgan
Yes. He gave us the challenge coins. Yes.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Did you get all three of them?
Morgan
I. Well, he only gave me one.
Scuba Steve
Oh, I got three.
Morgan
You got. Okay, I have a beef now with Hector. Dang. Why did Scuba get three and we got one?
Scuba Steve
What he did is. I think he. Maybe he did, like, a slow rollout. So every time I saw him, he'd have a different one. And it was a series of three, and he was in the Marines, stationed over in Oahu in Hawaii. And so he would, like, tell me and break down the whole coin and what each thing represents on there. And then I just kept seeing him and his wife over and over and over and over throughout the trip and. And he was such a nice, cool dude, and he said that the show essentially helped him get through, like, rough patches of, you know, ptsd, of fighting for our country and being in the Marines and all the things that he has dealt with. So he was really, really cool and super awesome.
Morgan
Yeah, he was so nice. We. We met him at the martini bar. He had come over, and that's when I was with Ray and Amy and. And bae. We were all just sitting there having a drink, and I almost had tears in my eyes talking to him. He's like a little gentle giant.
Scuba Steve
Very. He's big.
Morgan
He's a big dude.
Scuba Steve
Strong, burly dude. But. But, like, if you were just to see him, must be like, man, that guy just kicks butt all day long. And you're like, he's just like a teddy bear.
Morgan
He's gentle, like, very, very soft spoken, very kind.
Scuba Steve
Yes.
Morgan
He was so nice. So, yeah, shout out. But also have a beef with you, Hector, now, because I'm jealous.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Yeah. You didn't get all three. Sorry. Carrie from Las Vegas. She was wild and crazy. She was the one that made us all these hats and Eddie lost our mind.
Morgan
I say, I never got a hat.
Scuba Steve
Oh, then she. He lost multiple hats because Carrie gave him to Eddie. And then. And then I think I called him out in the Q and A and he's like, I don't know what happened to those. So he lost our hats. And by the way, her husband Ralph is fricking hilarious because I like the husbands, most of them, because they had no idea who we were and it was just a cruise. So, like, yes, you'll go on. On a cruise, which we're going to do it next year. Topshelfcountrycruise.com if you want to sign up.
Morgan
2027. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Scuba Steve
It's got Riley Green and a few others, plus us. And he was. He was talking me to the side. He's like, I don't. I don't really. I'm not really into all this. I don't really know who you guys are. I'm like. I'm like, hey, that's awesome, because it doesn't matter. You're here. You having a good time. And he's like, yeah. And he goes, and I found out my wife made you guys in hats. He's like, how crazy is that? He's like, we get here. I had no idea. She starts to unpack her suitcase, and she made you guys custom hats. What? Weird. And so him and I bonded on just, like, everyone being, you know, it was just. It was just kind of fun.
Morgan
No, that is funny. It's also funny to think about a husband. Like, I'm surprised he didn't see that in their packing. You know what I mean?
Scuba Steve
What are these hats?
Morgan
How did he not. He missed that major item that was getting packed in the suitcase.
Scuba Steve
And for a living, he works in Las Vegas as a fireman on the Strip. So I was just like, man, I can't even imagine all the things you've seen.
Knix Ad Voice
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
And what you're. Yeah. So we just say, yeah. We had a side combo. Loved him. He was the best.
Morgan
Oh, okay. That's super awesome. Yeah. Never got a hat.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
And it's also crazy, as you're mentioning a lot of these, just how many people are on the ship? Because I feel like I met everybody, but I didn't.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Because then you see people, even on day seven, like, hey, I haven't got a picture with you yet. Or I haven't met you. I'm like, seven days in the ship. You haven't seen me yet. Like, holy crap. I've been all over the place.
Morgan
How. And like, you had mentioned, you know, when you were like, oh, I don't want to assume people know me. I just assume nobody knows me until they come up to me.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
So if I'm walking and I missed you or don't make eye contact, it's not on purpose. It was because I literally was like, you don't know me. I don't know you.
Scuba Steve
I'll just.
Morgan
Sorry, I'm in your way. Kind of is the vibe that I would go with unless somebody yelled at me, and I'd be like, oh, yeah, hi, I'm here.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. They're like, can I take it? Can we take a picture? And I'm like, yeah, I'll take your picture for you. And they're like, no, no, no. We want to take a picture with you. And I'm like, okay. Or I'd be walking somewhere, and I hear scuba, and I'm like, on the move, going to an event or the radio show. And I was like, yo, what up? And I just keep moving. Or if I had time, I would stop and say, what's up?
Morgan
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
But a lot of times I'm like. I'm like the go, go, go. A lot of us are going from one event to the other or the radio show or whatever the hell is happening that day.
Morgan
Truly. Yes.
Scuba Steve
Gary and his wife Kathy, they live up and I think somewhere in, like, Rhode island area there or Boston. But they're Patriots fans, and they signed up for the cruise next year because I was sitting at the bar next to where you could sign up for next year's cruise we're talking about. He's like, yeah, moved to Nashville, whatever. Yada, yada. Nice guy, really cool, big fan of the show.
Morgan
Love that. And he got the I'm in hat for 2027.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, he got the white. Yeah, I think he got the white hat. Kathy met her twice. I felt like an idiot because I met her the first day. Like, when we first got on the ship, it was her and a bunch of her friends. And then I. And then two days later, I said, nice to meet you, or whatever, which I guess is always, like. Always say, good to see you again, but whatever. And she goes, you already met me. And I'm like, ah, crap. And then after that moment, I never, ever, ever forgot Kathy because she called me out on saying, nice to meet you.
Morgan
Honestly, I can't remember names to save my life, but I can remember faces. So you're saying all these names, and it's possible that I met them.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
But until I see them, I'm such a. Even with directions and stuff, I'm like, you turn right at the Arby's and you go left at the church. And then. Yeah, like, that's how I'm such a visual person, so I can recognize people from faces, and I'll remember if I've met them, but you tell me just their name. And based on that alone, I'm like, I have no idea.
Scuba Steve
But the physical being of them, you're like, oh, yeah, I know. That's Kathy. Yeah. Ken and Patty. They gamble with lunchbox till two in the morning. Met them after lunch, after the panel, we did the question and answering panel, which a lot of people Seem to enjoy that one. Yeah, it was a lot. It was a lot of fun.
Morgan
I think the panel is. Is the result of Boozy Bingo.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Okay.
Morgan
The reason I had so many shots show up in Boozy Bingo, I think was because of the panel.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Because even that was, like, Lunchbox was like, bae. Bae. Ray's wife give me a pina colada, and she took forever. And then it was like, pina colada. Pina colada. Pina colada, Pina colada. It was, like, so many of them after that.
Morgan
Yep.
Scuba Steve
It was wild. See here Mark. Oh, Mark was awesome. He's from Tampa and listens to the show and loves it and also works for, I think for Billboard and does, like, research for them on, like, the songs. We talked about some stuff that I can't really talk about on air, but he was awesome. I saw him many times. He was at Eddie's Bourbon Tasting. The Whistle Pig. Bourbon tasting.
Morgan
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
Really cool dude. Also loves Universal and Disney because he lives in Tampa.
Morgan
We love that. And shout out for being in the industry and loving us and going on a cruise, because I feel like that's kind of rare.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. He's cool. His wife was cool. I had a great conversation with him. He has a sick, like, huge. Huge, like, really manly beard.
Morgan
Okay. You were holding that. Like, he had boobs, and I was
Scuba Steve
like, he's got really huge boobs.
Morgan
I feel like this is going in a weird direction.
Scuba Steve
No, no. I was, like, pointing, like. Like a beard.
Morgan
Yeah, but you had both of your hands.
Morgan (Podcast Host - The Best Bits)
Yeah.
Morgan
Okay.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We should have seen his wife. No, I'm just kidding.
Morgan
I was like, where. Where is he going with that?
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Zach, who was not there for us or anyone. He worked. He was part of Signature Cruises. He worked on, like, the. Like, the. He was like, a tech guy that develops something within the app or works with Signature on the. I think the scheduling of the booking or something. So he was like a tech dude that worked. I sat next to him at dinner one night with his wife, Ashley. I believe they live in Tampa or somewhere in Florida.
Morgan
Okay.
Scuba Steve
Yes.
Morgan
You're remembering a lot of names in cities here, and it all sounds like gibberish to me, but I respect it.
Scuba Steve
Yes. And I'm sure you've come across many of these. Many of these people. Jr, He's a Filipino dude. He was like, yo, I can't wait to. I've been waiting this whole time. Like, one of those ones towards the end of the ship. Oh, I haven't seen you yet. I'm like, where the hell have you been, j. R?
Morgan
Was he just with his wife and was he gambling a lot?
Scuba Steve
He was gambling a lot. Filipino dude. Like, one of the only. Besides the workers that work there, he was the only other Filipino dude in my life.
Morgan
Definitely met him a bunch of. His wife is really sweet.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, really sweet. His wife had tattoos. Then they posted something on Instagram you may have commented on.
Morgan
She was filming a bunch throughout the cruise. She did a. Yeah, she did a cool recap of everything.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Good time Scotty. I don't know.
Morgan
I met good time Scotty. How can you remember, like, not forget that name?
Scuba Steve
Yes. Yeah, yeah. Scotty good time. Like a good time Scotty had that big, huge, like, gold chain and the glasses and everything.
Morgan
And he'd wear shimmer shirts. And he was always dressed to the nines.
Scuba Steve
He was the best army. Another Filipina on the ship. She was cool. Talk to her for a little bit.
Morgan
Okay.
Scuba Steve
Does the dj, who is the. The guy who is dj, Right.
Morgan
Keep it in the party alive.
Scuba Steve
Totally. His wife, Bri, Very, very nice. They live here in Nashville. Hope and her son Julian. They're from Rhode Island. They came. I think they're probably ones that travel the furthest. I met them at the beach in Bimini. We're taking the photo by the sand. The sand sign thing.
Morgan
Okay. I think I know who you're talking about. I met them a few times.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
They're very, very swee.
Scuba Steve
Very sweet. Yeah. Super kind. Colton from Regina. And he was. He was like, hey, I was. When they called in the show to break down Regina because everyone's like, oh, Regina. Like,
Morgan
he was one of the first ones. Lunchbox and I met on the ship. He's like, I'm from Regina. That was like the first thing that came out of his mouth. I was like, okay.
Scuba Steve
Oh, yeah. That's what he said to me, too. I was going down the stairs. I think I was going. We had just either finished the radio show or mid radio show, and I was grabbing something. And he was like, hey, I'm from Regina. And I was like, yeah. He's like, no, no, no. And I was like, oh, yes, Colton. I remember. Yeah, yeah.
Morgan
It's funny intro. I'm like, hey, we might need to work on the name part at least first and then go into that part.
Scuba Steve
Oh, yeah, totally. But I think, all in all, I think the experience. I've been on many cruises, and usually it's like for vacation and chilling. This is like my first work experience on a cruise. But, you know, Anything you do for the first time. There's. There's. It's a roller coaster. There's ups and downs. There's things you're figuring out. So I'm sure you heard all of Lunchbox's feedback on things.
Morgan
But he had a lot of good things to say, too. He was having a lot of fun.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. I think overall we had a great time. It was really cool. It was a fun experience. It was also really cool to see and be around people who have listened to the show for so long that have always been just, you know, part of our screen, either on Instagram, from comments or that call into the show and to actually physically see them in person. And by the way, we're on a. Like, you having fun? I'm like, we're on a cruise ship, dude. Like, this is. I know it's work and we're busy, but it's. We're still in the middle of the ocean. I love the ocean. I mean, Bimini was the greatest place.
Morgan
I loved Bimini.
Scuba Steve
Oh, my God. I wish we had more time there. Like, it was just. It was a really great experience all around and. And I'm looking forward to next year again, Top shelf Country Cruise dot com.
Morgan
I loved it. And listen, I'll shout out. There was. I did finally get to meet one of my Instagram friends. Her name's Early.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
Big listener of the show. And we've just communicated on Instagram over the years, and we finally got to meet in person.
Scuba Steve
What was that like?
Morgan
It was just awesome. Yeah, it's always funny because I. I'm like, I'm curious her thought and her perspective of, like, is Morgan the same person that I've been messaging all these years actually in person?
Scuba Steve
Yeah. You've existed flat.
Morgan
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
Now you're like IRL 3D. You're a human and now I can see you.
Morgan
Yeah, very much so. And she was so sweet. She's a really nice person and I loved getting to meet her. And then Shelly and Damon, who taught me crafts, and they were the major gamblers on our ship, total.
Scuba Steve
And there was another one, too. There's a couple, Andy, I believe his name was, from Ohio, and his wife, I play roulette with him. And Andy was really, really cool and, like, had a lot of questions and it was kind of fun to answer some of the things he asked. But he was playing roulette mid asking me questions, and then would hit and hit and hit, and then he would fall back down and be broke even. But then he hit again and get these massive stack of chips. And he looked over his wife and he'd give her the signal and they would both, like, they were crushing the. The roulette table. It's pretty sick to play and gamble with him.
Morgan
See, that's how Shelly and Damon were. And they were just like, throwing money left and right. Like, what do you guys do? Who are you? They're like, we just. We really like to do this. And they would just throw a hundred at me or a hundred at lunchbox and to keep playing. And they were so kind, like those. Those. Not just because of the money aspect. They were genuinely really kind people. And I would love to hang out with them anytime. So shout out to all the listeners. We're gonna take one quick break. Do you have any others? Are you out through your list?
Scuba Steve
I think I got through my list. Yeah. That's the majority. Again, I apologize if I left anyone out. It wasn't on. It wasn't by intention. It was just, you know, Abby, another one. We met Abby and her wife. Really, really cool couple. Met in the casino.
Morgan
I think she's the one who got the Keith Urban guitar at the concert.
Scuba Steve
O. Oh, whoever got that, that was. That's what I'm saying.
Morgan
Abby, super tall, right? She has really short hair.
Scuba Steve
Yes. And her wife is like, you're. I don't say short, but you're. You're high.
Morgan
You can call me short. I am short. We had a short competition. At one point in one of the hallways, there was like five of us, and we're all back to back trying to figure out who was the shortest.
Scuba Steve
Okay. Yeah.
Morgan
It's very much a thing. But, yes, Abby got the Keith Urban guitar.
Scuba Steve
That's so sick. Like, that's the kind of thing. You're on this cruise ship, you don't know what's going to happen, when it's going to happen, how it's going to happen. But there's always. I think everyone at least had a really cool experience at some point on that ship, either with an artist or with the show or just. You're on again. You're on a cruise. Key West, Nassau, Bimini. It was freaking sick.
Morgan
Yeah. And we have the best listeners. That's. If there's anything that it reminded me of is we just have awesome listeners. Everybody is so kind and they were so much fun to hang out with. So that they made that cruise what it was.
Scuba Steve
Oh, yeah. Topshopcountrycruise.com thank you.
Morgan
Now we're gonna take a break and we'll come Back with Scuba's highlights from the cruise.

Morgan
All right, Scuba, break it down for me. What were your favorite parts from the cruise?
Scuba Steve
Favorite part is I'm an ocean guy and being landlocked in Nashville. It's been, I think. I mean, I try not to think about it, but it comes up so often in my head about not being near the ocean. So being able to not Only be near the ocean, but be in the ocean and on the ocean. It was, I think, a highlight for me. It just, like. It's soul cleansing. It resets me as a human. Like my wife and I went to when we were at Bimini during the whole. Like, before we did the photo shoot in front of that sandcastle sign, My wife and I, we swam out. Lunchbox did too. We swam out in the ocean, went pretty far out, which normally we would do anyways, but turns out we were talking to one of the locals, and he was like. And he's a local. He's like, you went how far out, brother?
Morgan (Podcast Host - The Best Bits)
I was like, we went.
Scuba Steve
I pointed. We went way out. He's like. Because nobody even here goes that far out because of all the sharks. And I was like, oh, okay. So.
Morgan
Wish somebody would have told you that information.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Yeah. Well, I'm glad we didn't get bit by a shark or anything. But again, you don't really. Sharks only bite because they think you're a sea lion or something that they would want to eat. And once they realize you're a human, they latch on. They let go. They're not vicious because they don't want to eat. They have no interest in eating us. So that's why, I guess I've never really been afraid of it. If I get bit, I get bit. But I'm not gonna, like, die from a shark bite.
Morgan
Well, no, but you can definitely lose a body part from a shark bite. You've seen those teeth before.
Scuba Steve
You can, but you can also get hit when you're driving in a car.
Morgan
And it's so true.
Scuba Steve
Break an arm or get a concussion, break your back, whatever. So I feel like if you live your life too much in comfort and super cautious, you're never gonna be able to enjoy things.
Morgan
It's so true.
Scuba Steve
So you gotta kinda let go a little bit.
Morgan
I know I did. I don't know if you saw it on my Instagram. I was doing, like, a yoga wall challenge where I went, like, upside down, and you flip around and do a thing. And so many people were like, you're gonna get vertigo again. I was like, I can get vertigo by turning over in bed or doing my laundry. So, like.
Scuba Steve
Like, yeah, if.
Morgan
If I'm really afraid, I can't do anything in my life.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, exactly.
Morgan
If we're being honest. So that goes to your point. Yes, I agree. Please continue.
Scuba Steve
And then another highlight was. So we did. My wife and I did a dinner. It was the same night that Lee Bryce was performing at the theater.
Morgan
Okay.
Scuba Steve
Which we weren't going to because it's not that. It's just like, when it comes to seeing live music, we see it all the time. And I'm like, I see it here in Nashville often. So for me, it's more about experiencing the cruise ship and all the amenities and the ocean, that kind of stuff. So I wasn't really there for the live music. The only show that I part. I was there for was Bobby's show when you did the Raging Idiots, because I had to be there for Bobby, make sure everything was good and help him with that.
Morgan
And you came to LeAnn Rimes. But that was because I wanted to go, yeah.
Scuba Steve
But I also like Leanne Rhymes, though. I've never seen her, so that was really cool.
Morgan
Okay.
Scuba Steve
And, yeah, so that. So, yeah. So those are the two shows I was like, I. I need to be there for. So everything else was more about it, just experiencing the cruise ship and the ocean. But for everyone else, though, I understand that the shows are important. That's part of their itinerary, part of
Morgan
why they're going, oh, my God.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. And you get to see them in that cool, intimate setting on a cruise ship in that theater. And the theater was beautiful. And it was. It was. It was really, really cool. So we're at dinner, and it started, I think, at 6 and omakase. If you're not familiar, I'm sure you are, but in case you're not, it's like a sushi flight, kind of like how you would have an alcohol flight. And there's usually 10 to 15 courses, and it's all chef selected dishes, from, like soups to appetizers to nigiri sushi pieces, whatever. And it's. It's an experience. It's like an hour and a half thing. And you can pair it with alcohol, like a wine, sake or drinks or whatever. And there's. There's my wife and I, and there's three other couples, and we're, you know, we do the. We all, hey, what's up? How's it going?
Morgan
And the other couple's listeners, I assume
Scuba Steve
one of them was okay. And I think two couples were. And another couple just loved to cruise. And they actually knew people that I worked with because they were from the San Francisco Bay area. And I had mentioned some previous shows from San Francisco, like Don Blue. And they're like, oh, Don Blue? Yeah, we used to listen to him. So they knew. We knew people. And I felt like they were so familiar. Like I hadn't Met them before either, like at an airport in San Francisco. You ever know, like, you, like, you just feel like you've met these people before?
Morgan
That's always a weird experience where you're like, did I know you in a former life? Or what was it like a moment that we've met before and I forgot it.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
It's a weird feeling.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. I feel like it was like. I almost can pinpoint it. I feel like it's either. There was this thing we used to do called the Blue Room with Don Blue, and it was like in 2011 and Duran Duran perform, and I felt like I ever. I think I met them there, but that was like 15 plus years ago or at an airport, because I felt like I just. I just knew his wife and a little bit of him, like he had come by, like, oh, it's time to go, or I don't know, something. Something. Yeah, they were very familiar. So we. We started and we're into. Or we're into it. I think we're about three of 11 items that we have eaten so far.
Morgan
And omas expensive. That experience is expensive.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Yeah. Omakase.
Klarna/CVS Ad Voice
Yeah.
Morgan
Did I not.
Scuba Steve
Omasake, Which I guess is like a combination of omakase and sake.
Morgan
I mean. Okay, so say it one more time.
Scuba Steve
Omakase.
Morgan
Omakase.
Scuba Steve
Yes.
Morgan
Okay. I was really confident going in that one.
Scuba Steve
I felt it. Oma. Sake. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Morgan
I do think it's because you said sake, and then that was in my head, so. Okay.
Scuba Steve
And it's not cheap, by the way. I think it's like $150 a head. And then if you add alcohol, it's another $90. And one of the couples, I think they're from Texas. The wife only eats meat. And so I'm like, well, you're at the wrong place right now because this is. There is no meat here. It's all fish and seafood and of that space. And so she's not eating anything, but she's just there because her husband wants to try it. And even her husband isn't really into it. He was just more like, oh, it's just, you know, kudos to them. They're like, hey, let's do something different, unique, and let's have some fun with it. And they try. They were great sports or something. She would try and eat. But then she. She was giving me her dish. She's like, I don't want this. Because I'd be like, oh, this is really good. And she's like, do you want it? I'm like, well, yeah, I mean, if you're willing to give it up, I'll take it. And then so she started giving me some of her dishes. And then about three to four in, they go, oh, we gotta go. And I was like, we gotta go. I was like, you guys still have, like, six to seven things to go left. You still have, like, $90 coming of food that you haven't touched yet. And they go, we have to go to the Lee Bry show. You going? I was like, no, I was. I'm sit here, and it's all makase. Like, I came here for the food, the cruise ship and the ocean, not the performances. So all the couples, they get up and they go to the Lee Bryce show. And so my wife and I are stuck or not stuck, but we're there, and the waiters come back, and they thought. Because they saw that one lady, like, not eating much, and they thought maybe they weren't enjoying it. And they're like, what happened to all the other people? And I was like, I don't. They all were going to the Lee Bryce show, and they said, we can have their food. And they go, all right. So then they. So normally you get one dish item. We went from getting one dish item to my wife and I split it so 6. We end up getting 4 a piece of everything that came after that. So we got, like, way more than our money's worth.
Morgan
You guys were eating good that night.
Scuba Steve
Eating real good. And I didn't buy the drinks because I didn't want to drink. I just wanted to eat the food and enjoy it. But another person got the drink flight, so then I got his drinks. So I got a free round of multiple drinks to pair with the food. And then we got quadruple the amount of food we're supposed to get. It was insane.
Morgan
That doesn't have the greatest anywhere.
Scuba Steve
No, it doesn't. Never. Because no one would ever leave an omakase experience. You do the whole thing because it's so expensive. But they had to go to the Lee Bri show, which I understand. And. But I'm also like, you should have done the omakase at, like, a different day or a different time, you know? But all of them were going to the Libre show. I'm like, so you all. I was like. I was so blown away by it, but it was definitely in our favor. Was amazing.
Morgan
And you had texted our group chat to Lunchbox Ray and I and were like, hey, we have all this food. Come hang out.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
And it was also Lobster night. Because it's formal night on the cruise.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Which I was like that I'm sure when we booked it. I'm like, I, I'm like $100 million says the night we book a MA, the night they're gonna do frickin lobster night. And guess what? It was lobster night.
Morgan
It was, it was the one night Scuba wanted to go. The reason we didn't come is cuz Lunchbox did get to eat my lobster because apparently you only get one lobster dish a person and for the second you have to pay for it.
Scuba Steve
Which used to be. Not that it used to be unlimited lobster when I used to cruise back in the day. But I'm sure with shortages and all the crap going on that it's different now.
Morgan
Yep. And so they, they had to think about it for a while and Lunchbox ended up getting mine or otherwise. I think Lunchbox would have at least joined you guys because free food is his favorite thing. But that was the only reason we didn't. And so you guys were truly on your own to finish all of the food.
Scuba Steve
Yes.
Morgan
I don't know where Ray was. Right?
Scuba Steve
Yeah. I don't know.
Morgan
On the ship.
Scuba Steve
Ray was fist pumping somewhere on the ship. Yeah. Who knows?
Morgan
Oh, that's a cool experience though. Also shout out the sushi bar. That's where I left my bag.
Scuba Steve
It was. Yeah, Sushi on five or whatever was called.
Morgan
Yeah, Sushi on five. So I really don't like that place. Not to their fault, but to mine.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, to yours. Yeah. Yeah. Because I love that place. So that was amazing. Again. TattooCountryCruise.com okay, thank you.
Morgan
You just put it in as many times as possible.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Morgan
What else? Any other top favorite moments?
Scuba Steve
It was nice that my wife came to a certain degree. It was nice to be like, to be able to not be there with the kids and like have a night where we're laying in bed. It's just her and I and you know, hanging out and then the have the freaking balcony and the ocean right there and being able to hear that some time alone. The gambling was kind of fun. I, I like, I never played craps before ever. I always just watch it and it seems so confusing.
Morgan
I was the same way.
Scuba Steve
So confusing. Right?
Morgan
It's so confusing.
Scuba Steve
There's so much crap on the table.
Morgan
Oh my gosh. And I played it so many times before I finally even understood what was going on.
Scuba Steve
I still don't understand what's going on. Even after Ray tried to teach me it. He Just told me one thing to do. He goes, bet against the table. He's like, but when you win, you can't celebrate because everyone else lost. So whenever we would win, he'd be like, under the table. He gave me daps. And he'd be like, yeah, touchdown. Touchdown. Touchdown. We got a touchdown down. And I was like, okay.
Morgan
See? And that's where, like, Ray. It was so funny because that's what Shelly and Damon were really good at, and they taught me everything.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
They're like, ray goes against the table every time, and so you don't want to be that person.
Scuba Steve
Yes.
Morgan
And so every time I was going with the table and we were doing really good, he would, like, lose. And I was like, suck it, Ray. And he was like, why are you getting mad at me? I was like, you're obviously playing against the table. And he wouldn't admit it. Ray never admitted that he was playing against the table, but that's his whole mo.
Scuba Steve
Oh, yeah, totally.
Morgan
And, yeah. Shout out to them. But I do. I learned. And I rolled three sevens on my first turnout.
Scuba Steve
Oh, damn.
Morgan
Only time you want to roll seven on the first.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Because then if you're also the person that has the bet against the table, you don't win if seven hits first.
Morgan
Yep, exactly. So you don't want to. I call it. I called seven. Voldemort. Voldemort. You know, like, besides that first one out, you never wanted to roll a seven. It's the death of your turn. It's the end. So that's how I started to learn. Crabs was the help of Harry Potter and.
Scuba Steve
And snake eyes, which is slithering. If you get two. Exactly ones. I think if you're betting against the table and you get two ones in the beginning, you win money. And if you're somebody like Damon, who was betting in that middle area where it was like the yellow dice and you hit snake eyes, you get like. Like a thousand dollars or some crap.
Morgan
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
High amount.
Morgan
And I really love to play the field, which is certain numbers. I'd win a lot in the field.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
I got really good at that one.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. I mostly just wanted to be able to roll the dice, I feel like. Because then you felt like Vegas vacation, Papa Giorgio rolling the dice. I just wanted that experience that was never rolled. I got to roll. Yeah. I got through a couple different. That was all I wanted to do. That's all I've ever wanted to do for. For years, was be able to roll the dice. And I. That was mostly the only part I Was excited about. And so it came to my turn to roll. I'm like, oh, my God. I get to roll the dice.
Morgan
It's finally happening.
Scuba Steve
But then there's, like, rules with the dice. You can't, like. They can't, like, open the. All these different things. And I had no idea. And the guy was like, you know, it's on a cruise ship, and so they're not as strict as Las Vegas, but it was a really fun experience.
Morgan
Oh, yeah. I got yelled at a lot, too. And on my first turn, turn. The dice went off the table. I threw them straight off the table.
Scuba Steve
They hate that people do that. Like, what the hell?
Morgan
I wasn't doing it on purpose. I was like, I've never done this before. And you had to. To your point, you had to roll them in a certain direction, certain way. You couldn't, like, bring him up in the air, switch hands, and I'm really sure, yeah, the craft table is the height of me.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, it is. Yeah.
Morgan
Yeah. And so my first roll, I throw them, and they just go everywhere. And I'm like, sorry, I don't know what I'm doing.
Scuba Steve
Totally.
Morgan
I got yelled at.
Scuba Steve
But it's also. It's also a fun experience, too, because then you get to hang out with. With people who listen to the show, and you're, like, gambling, and it's like a fun, shared experience. And even if you're not gambling, you can kind of still sit there and hang out and watch, because I watched Amy and Rod play blackjack, and there was, like, a massive crowd of people around them just watching. It was like an experience within an experience. So, yeah, it was just. It was a lot of fun to gamble on a ship.
Morgan
Yeah. And, you know, maybe I'm biased because they were mine, but all the events that I did were really cool. Karaoke was super fun. The competition, by the way, her name was Laura, and she sang. It was like a white zombie song.
Scuba Steve
Oh, yeah.
Morgan
I'm saying that correctly. I wasn't familiar with it, but she sang in. She was insane.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
It was between her and sushi man, because sushi man, I called him the first night to sing, and he was having sushi.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
And I interrupted his sushi dinner to come down.
Jacob Goldstein
Was he a big.
Scuba Steve
Like, a big dude?
Morgan
His name was Devin.
Scuba Steve
Okay, never mind.
Morgan
And he was. They both were insane. They were kind of like our two final list by the end of it. But, yeah, Laura ended up winning. She was awesome. And then boozy bingo. All of them were fun.
Bethenny Frankel
Every.
Morgan
Every in blackjack. Tournament. I had so much fun at all my events. I never was like, oh, dang, that. That was lame. Sorry. Every time I was like, this is so cool.
Scuba Steve
It is. Yeah. It was a really cool, fun experience.
Morgan
It was all good. You want to shout out your website one more time? Then we're gonna take a break.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Top Shelf country cruise dot com. If I said it too fast before to sign up for next year's cruise, and we had a lot of people come up to us and tell us after the Q A and throughout the cruise ship that they had already signed up, I think it was 35 to 40% already full before the end of that cruise of, like, people re signing up for next year.
Morgan
I love that.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. So I mean, that also means that it's gonna sell out sooner than the last one because I think when the first one came around, everyone's kind of like, I don't know what this is gonna be like. I don't know if it's gonna be worth it. But clearly it was an experience and it was totally worth it for a lot of different people.
Morgan
So, yeah, now we have one under our belt. So it can only get better from here.
Scuba Steve
Exactly. And next year we go out of Tampa. So there's Tampa. Key west is still in the mix, I believe. Bimini. And then the new stop is Cozumel.
Morgan
Yes. And hopefully everything's okay in Mexico at that point.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
And I'm going to try and go for Key West. I'm going to try and go to Dry Tortugas National Park.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
I have to plan it in advance.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Because it's a little bit outright.
Morgan
Yeah. You have to take a seaplane to get to it.
Scuba Steve
Oh, yeah. You definitely plan that in advance. Yeah.
Morgan
Like they get rented like a year out. So I'm going to start planning for.
Scuba Steve
You should start playing like right now.
Morgan
Yeah. Yeah. You guys want to do it with me?
Scuba Steve
Se plane? No, thanks.
Bethenny Frankel
Why not?
Scuba Steve
Yeah, that just seems a little scary for me.
Morgan
They're so fun. Life's an adventure. You can't live scared.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, I know, but that one I can be scared about.
Morgan
No, you can't. That's literally.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, I can.
Morgan
Oh, my gosh. Pick and choose. That's not how that works, but all right. We're going to take a break. We're come back, we'll be done with the cruise, cuz, I promise. This wasn't an ad. I just wanted to hear Scuba's experience. Everybody who's on, I want to hear their experience.
Scuba Steve
So Top Shelf Country's at home.
Morgan
We'll take a break. We'll be right back.

All right, well, outside of the cruise, how's life? How are the kids? How are you?
Scuba Steve
Pretty good. It's a lot lot. Because now it's usually we take off for sports at this point because I always coach basketball in the fall and the winter and sometimes we'll do baseball. But he, he just kind of hadn't been into it and he wanted to do football and my God, he's really good at football. Yeah, we play in the front yard. Well, like he wants to run slants and patterns and whatever and he can catch the ball, he can run fast and he can throw the ball. And I was like, holy crap. And his PE coach was like, hey, make sure he signs up for flag football. And I was like, all right, cool, cool. And then he begged me to coach the team and she was kind of asking me to coach the team and I'm like, oh no, now I'm signing now. I'm obligated to another. Another thing. And I was like, okay, all right.
Morgan
And flag football is in the spring.
Scuba Steve
It's in the spring. Yeah. Just. It started. It started last week, but the problem was practices, and my wife was like, quit complaining about it. But practices were initially set for Wednesday, which I already do practices Wednesdays for basketball, so it's already, like, locked in my calendar of I can do Wednesdays. Well, it was Wednesday, and then they changed it to Thursday, and guess what day? I could never do Thursdays.
Morgan
Thursdays are long days at work.
Scuba Steve
Long days at work. Long days for me. And then a lot of times, if we're traveling for events and stuff, I usually fly out on a Thursday morning. So I'm gone. So I was like, crap. And now I feel like. Now I feel awful because I already missed one practice. I'm gonna miss the practice that happened this week. And then potent. And then even the next one and the next one. So I'm like, I don't think I could be the head coach anymore. And so I. I had to tell the director of his school, and of course, she's now in a weird place because I've already committed, and they're trying to find another. So who knows what the hell's happening.
Morgan
Yeah. But also, you kind of got pressured into it just a smidge.
Scuba Steve
Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
Morgan
And I'm proud of you for knowing your boundary. And you're like, this is not gonna work. So you. You went no with Thursday, and that's okay. Some. You can't be. You're not a superhero. You are a superhero, dad, but you're not an actual superhero. And it's okay to say no to things. Things.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, exactly.
Morgan
Hopefully you know that.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. So I just gotta text my wife. That makes me want to lose my mind.
Morgan
Deep breath.
Scuba Steve
What?
Morgan
Yeah, we'll do a little yogi exercise here in a second. So. Yeah, breathe in.
Scuba Steve
I can't breathe and I have allergies right now because the weather here is a piece of crap. Nashville weather is ridiculous.
Morgan
Well, we just got the response of how scuba is just. Yeah, breathe in as much as you can. No, you didn't listen. No, that's gonna cause more anxiety. Breathe in and don't breathe out until I tell you. Okay, now you did it.
Scuba Steve
Oh, my God.
Morgan
Do it. Breathe in and don't breathe out until I tell you. Breathe in slow. Breathe out. Got a lot of air in those lungs. Okay, that's good. We're good now. Are you gonna keep going you told
Scuba Steve
me to breathe out.
Morgan
Well, yeah. Good. We're good.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. At some point, breath is out. Yeah. But do I just, like, not breathe out anymore? Then I hold it in for the next one.
Morgan
You just breathe out everything you have left.
Scuba Steve
That's what I had. And then I was. Keep going. You cut me off from breathing out. Now I have anxiety again.
Morgan
Now you're causing me anxiety, and I'm just here. I'm just existing.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Morgan
Okay. That's how you are.
Scuba Steve
Try being me.
Morgan
Okay. This is how you are. That's how the kids are currently doing.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Morgan
Rock. Show going well?
Scuba Steve
Show is going well. Yeah. I have a. Let's see. Oh, I can't reveal it yet, but this week coming up, I have an awesome, amazing, wonderful thing that I'm giving away, which means I get to go somewhere, too.
Morgan
Ooh, wait, is it the thing that you told me off air?
Scuba Steve
Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get the broadcast in there and do everything.
Morgan
So fun.
Scuba Steve
And they're hooking it up. Like, it's going to be so much fun. And I'm so effing excited. This is like 20 plus years in the making.
Morgan
Are you going to bring your family to that one or.
Scuba Steve
No, because this is our first time doing it, and I don't want to be like a germ and ask for so much and too much. Plus, I want to be able to prove the concept of, hey. Because I told them I had to pitch it, just please give me a shot kind of deal. And I told them what I can offer and everything for their end to help promote the contest and the giveaway and everything. And then once the concept is proven and I get to meet them face to face and everything, then for the next one, I almost said what it is. Later in the year when I do the next one, then it'll be more of a family experience, more the full thing.
Morgan
Oh, that's gonna be so much fun for you. It's fun to see something come to fruition that you've worked on for a long time.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. And even I remember walking by this as, like, a kid and in my teens and all that stuff and be like, man, I wanna. What would it be like to be in there doing that? I know this is super cryptic, but it'll make sense if you at least follow me on Instagram or listen to the show and you're.
Morgan
Wait, so obviously this airs Saturday, so you will have posted it by Saturday?
Scuba Steve
Yes. Yeah, by. No, not by Saturday. I'll post it about it by Monday. And talked about it on air Monday at 4. 45 Central on 105 M, the Rock.
Morgan
Okay. So bet it'll still be cryptic this weekend, but come Monday, you'll have an answer.
Scuba Steve
Come Monday? Yeah. You'll know what's up. And if you're in the area of Nashville or you listen to the show, you have a chance to win.
Morgan
I love a chance to win. Can I. No. I'm part of the.
Scuba Steve
You work for the radio.
Morgan
Yeah, you can. Sorry.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Be pretty sick, though.
Morgan
I know. It won't be. It's a cool thing.
Scuba Steve
Hell, yeah. But if next year I need a digital person to come with me, I totally will.
Morgan
Yeah, I'll. I'll tag along.
Scuba Steve
Okay. Cool. Hell, yeah.
Morgan
I hate as one of our bosses. They just crush it on socials.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
It's what I do. All right. Anything else you want to add before we get out of here? Anything that's been on your mind?
Scuba Steve
No. No, not right now.
Morgan
I am scuba. We're. We're, like, deep in wedding planning right now.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
Morgan
So I finally made some decisions.
Scuba Steve
Okay. We talked about some stuff off air, but about where and all that kind of stuff. So you're doing it.
Morgan
It's transitioned a little bit, but similar concept. So thankfully, I don't have to be off work as much for. For your guys's sake, because we were talking about that, and especially on the cruise, like Ray and I were talking about. It's kind of funny because we don't really have backups. There's not like a backup. Morgan. A backup.
Scuba Steve
But we really don't.
Morgan
No.
Scuba Steve
Or somebody tries to do it, and it's not the same, and there's problems, and they end up having to reach out to you anyways.
Morgan
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
And then it's like. So I really don't have a freaking vacation.
Morgan
Yeah, we don't. We don't really have vacation. So this one will work a little bit better and be a lot easier on. On the Animals, but, man, I am. It's insane to me that we didn't go with this one because we're not doing the very traditional wedding style or whatever. But I looked at a venue. It was beautiful. It's about an hour outside of Nashville. It's kind of towards Alabama.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
You will never guess what the price was. Just for the venue and, like the. You know, the bridal suite and stuff like that. Just for the venue.
Scuba Steve
I think you're not in. In a major city like New York or San Francisco or la.
Morgan
Yeah. You're outside Of Alabama.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Outside of Alabama. Yeah. Where gas is still probably a dollar a gallon.
Morgan
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
So I'm gonna sit. Probably not though. Not right now. But I would say probably for the venue to use it for and the. All that stuff. I'd say maybe $15,000. No, no.
Morgan
$41,000.
Scuba Steve
$41,000.
Morgan
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
Is it like one of those things that's like been in a movie or something?
Morgan
Not been in a movie, but it is very luxury. It was like an all glass atrium. It was. Was absolutely stunning. You have a view of the mountains. It's beautiful. Like respect.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, I understand what I mean.
Morgan
Yes. For the venue.
Scuba Steve
Oh, gross.
Morgan
Not, not for any of the vendors or anything that you're going to have in it.
Scuba Steve
Everything else. All the other things.
Morgan
Yeah. Insane.
Scuba Steve
Ew.
Morgan
Yeah. And I was like, I really like that. And that's kind of my aesthetic. So that's why I'm not doing a traditional wedding.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Because I probably caught. Probably like before COVID would have been probably 10 to $15,000.
Morgan
Oh yeah. Everything. Everything cost money now.
Scuba Steve
Exactly.
Morgan
Even to do cake tasting costs money. It's ridiculous to put it. To go to a bridal appointment, to get a wedding dress, to even try on wedding dresses. You have to put a credit card
Scuba Steve
down in case Greed, all greed. And then everything going up and which makes things so much more expensive. Which makes everything spiral. Greed.
Morgan
And there's a respect to it. Right. Like I respect that these are all services. People need them so they can have those prices and they can do these things and they have to respect their time and their energy and effort that they've put in. But. But man, it's insane. It's insane. If you want to have like a traditional wedding, more power to you. Because you are spending every bit of a down payment on a house or an entire car payment. Like an. To buy an entire car, new car.
Scuba Steve
Just buy a full car. Like I was looking at this friggin Honda Prelude the other day. I was getting my oil changed and I was like, wow, this is a really sick prelude. It was $47,000 so you could buy a sick ass car and own it for years on end. Or have a wedding. Or put a massive down payment on a home.
Morgan
Yep.
Scuba Steve
Or have a wedding.
Morgan
Insane. Just for like a. To have like a wedding that you know, you, you saw your parents have.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
With a pretty cake and pretty florals and a dress and. And 200 of your family and friends. Forget about what it would cost.
Scuba Steve
Oh, it's almost like you need to charge admission so that way it could help pay for your. Your.
Morgan
I'm now understanding why people will charge for weddings now.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
Like you pay for your food or whatever, it becomes a thing. I get it now. I wouldn't do it, but I get it.
Scuba Steve
It. Yeah.
Morgan
I respect all of it. There's. There's a respect where I'm like, you know, good for you. You know your cost, you know your worth.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
But damn, I'm not paying it.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. No way.
Morgan
So, yeah, it's wild. I mean, and you know, you're. You. You mentioned that when we were talking on the show at one point that you guys were still in debt from your wedding.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, we're still paying for little things here and there because I think our wedding was about $50,000. But that was back in 2016, but it was California, so. But that. But that included everything for $50,000 thing. And I think even our honeymoon was included in that bundle, so. But that's still a lot of money.
Morgan
So much money.
Scuba Steve
But that included everything. You're talking about one part of your multiple things you have to buy is only 40. That means your whole wedding would cost six figures if you had to do everything.
Morgan
Exactly.
Scuba Steve
Unbelievable.
Morgan
Which is why I'm not doing everything.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. You shouldn't. Yeah.
Morgan
Doing it a lot different at this point. Yeah. So. And you're still paying it off. You haven't finished yet.
Scuba Steve
No, we're still paying off all kinds. Yeah.
Morgan
Insane.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Like little things here and there within our. Whatever our bubble of things we owe money on.
Morgan
Yeah. Like where you've kind of planned it all out to pay different things and.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Like the obvious, like a mortgage and car payment. Although my truck is finally paid off.
Morgan
Nice.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Which is. Which is really nice.
Morgan
That's huge.
Scuba Steve
That's massive. So no car payment for me. My. The van is about halfway paid off, so. That's cool.
Morgan
It's so fun when you pay things off.
Scuba Steve
Oh, yeah. It feels great.
Morgan
It's like a good feeling. You don't have to worry about it anymore.
Scuba Steve
I cleared most of our credit card debt, which is nice. Awesome. Now it's. Now it's just, you know, mortgage and little. Little other little small things that live in this little box.
Morgan
Yeah. And how long ago did you guys get married?
Scuba Steve
We got married. It was 2016, so 10 years ago. This is our 10 year anniversary this year.
Morgan
Wild. Congratulations.
Scuba Steve
Thank you. Yeah.
Morgan
First of all.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Nothing really.
Morgan
Sorry.
Scuba Steve
I'm so happy you did just come
Morgan
on a cruise, by the way.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. That was kind of like part of It. Yeah, we have a Disney trip coming up this year with the kids and stuff, so there's that.
Morgan
You have things planned, but. Hey, shout out. So. Yeah, but it's going good. We're doing. We're doing like a kind of elopement style micro wedding in the mountains. We'll come back here and have a party and hopefully not pay the price of my entire body to do so. Yeah, this is the goal.
Scuba Steve
Okay, cool.
Morgan
But it's been going. I did do cake tastings because that was the thing that I was looking forward to the most.
Scuba Steve
Oh, yeah. The tasting of the cake and the food is, like, the best part. Yeah, it's so awesome.
Morgan
He was like, we don't have to do this right now. I was like, yeah, we're doing it right now.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, we're doing it. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Hell, yeah.
Morgan
Right now. And I'm doing it from three different places.
Bethenny Frankel
Places.
Morgan
So it's not just one experience.
Scuba Steve
You can try all the different cakes. Yeah. Hell, yeah.
Morgan
Oh, man. Okay, that's it for us this weekend. Scuba. Thanks for hanging out.
Scuba Steve
You know it. Yeah.
Morgan
I'm proud of you. We stayed under 45 minutes.
Scuba Steve
We sure did. But if you had commercials and spots into it, it's okay.
Morgan
Don't do that to me. I'm talking about our conversation.
Scuba Steve
Our hardcore content was under 45 minutes. Yeah, but I'm looking at the ticker. Let's see if we can keep it going.
Morgan
No, Scuba, don't do it. All right, we're gonna get out of here. Scuba, where can they find you? Well, not on TikTok. Don't bring that up.
Scuba Steve
Yep. I. I have boycotted and I have resigned from T tok. That place is effing ridiculous. On the bull crap that they allow and what they don't allow. And you can see that on the tick. On the tick. On the TikTok. On my TikTok that I don't go on anymore. On my. On the TikTok, I do not go on anymore. But I also posted it on my Instagram, which is where I only live at this moment. And it is Scuba Steve Radio. When you see what they flagged and what they allow, it will blow your effing mind. It is so stupid.
Morgan
It is a wild west out there in algorithms. So I respect.
Scuba Steve
Yes, but. But what? Even that, though what they allow, the indecency versus what they consider what I did was. It's so effing stupid.
Morgan
You know what? I. You want to hear one of my conspiracy theories?
Scuba Steve
Yeah. What's your theory?
Morgan
Is that with people? Because behind the algorithms is people who work at these places. Right. At the end of the day, somebody's overseeing it.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Morgan
And I think there's somebody who has a grudge against. If you get. If you get shadow banned.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
Or you get, like, your content doesn't get seen in a certain way. Or like you see somebody else's. You're like, how did that get seen? Whoever is overseen that has a personal grudge against whoever is shadow banned.
Scuba Steve
Really?
Morgan
For some reason.
Scuba Steve
So you think there's someone that does not like me and doesn't even know me?
Morgan
I. And mind you, I've had the same experience. So somebody out there doesn't like me either.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Morgan
So I. I just. A conspiracy theory.
Scuba Steve
And you'll see these dumbass videos where there's like no thought. Or. Or it's a lie. It's someone telling a fake story in their car. By the way. Or by the way, if you're driving. Driving. Don't effing do a video. Don't be in your freaking car talking to the phone, recording a video to put online. You're an idiot.
Morgan
True.
Scuba Steve
I don't hate anything, but I hate you for driving and being on your freaking phone and then posting it online. Just park somewhere.
Klarna/CVS Ad Voice
Or.
Scuba Steve
Or don't do it your car. It's so stupid. Do it anywhere else but your freaking car. And especially while you're driving.
Morgan
I will tell you a piece of crap to do it in your car. You have natural lighting, which is why a lot of people do whatever.
Scuba Steve
But don't do while you're driving.
Morgan
Do it parked. Yes.
Scuba Steve
When you do. There are people who work in our company. I've seen them post stuff and I'm like, you're what? That's worse than drunk. You might. You might as well crack open a beer and start driving. It's the same effing thing.
Morgan
It is true. Make sure you're parked. If you're going to do content in
Scuba Steve
your vehicle, stop driving. Well, I have it on the thing, but you're still looking at your phone constantly while you're. While you're driving. I won't name names, but, God, you're an idiot. You're so stupid. And you're hypocritical.
Morgan
3 past 45.
Scuba Steve
Hell yeah. I did it. I did it.
Morgan
I know you were trying to.
Scuba Steve
Okay. Goo. I wasn't trying. It just happens. No, you were trying Scuba Steve Radio on Instagram. Everything else can kick rocks.
