Doug
It's time for the good news. Tell me something good, Amy.
Amy
I finally got my ring in the mail, my aura ring that I ordered, and that was my tell me something good a while ago that I ordered it, and I originally ordered gold, and it came in, and I just really didn't like the look, so I swapped it out for the silver. And who knew this was way cheaper. Go for the.
Doug
Was the other made of real gold?
Amy
No, but I was shocked at the price. And I mean, don't get me wrong, the O rings are still an investment, and that's why it took me so long to get it. But this was my birthday present to myself. And when I did the swap, when I returned it online, I got a big credit back, and I was like, what is this for? Turns out the silver is way less than the gold. And to your point, I have no idea why, because it's basically the same material. It's not like it's real silver or real gold.
Doug
And same technology.
Amy
Exact same technology. But I'm telling you, $150 che. And I saw. I. What happened was I got the gold and I wasn't wearing it yet, and I wasn't sure about the. The color of the gold. It looked really, like yellowy to me. And then I ran into a girl, a stranger. I did not know her. And I said, excuse me, is that the Oura ring in silver? And she said, yes. And I said, how do you like that? And she's like, oh, it's great. I've heard the gold can scratch really easily as well. So then that sealed the deal for me, and I swapped it out. So I finally have it. And what I'm most excited about is tracking my sleep.
Doug
That feels like when someone is eating a meal and someone comes over and goes, is that chicken good?
Zach
Yes.
Amy
Yes.
Doug
It feels a little invasive, but you get it.
Amy
Yeah.
Doug
Yeah, because they also, you know, they deserve to know if the chicken they're about to order is good.
Amy
Yeah. It's an investment. I want to know.
Doug
Gold prices, by the way, have experienced a downward trend over the past month. There's been a sharp drop even in the last 24 hours.
Amy
I checked out the gold in my freezer this morning.
Doug
What do you mean you just looked at it?
Amy
Well, every time I go in there to get ice, I see my gold.
Doug
There's been a decline of roughly 3% in the last day. Gold is down 13.24% compared to one month ago. This follows a historic peak. Now, why I'm saying this is possibly good news. Like, if you were going to get into gold right now, get it now. Because you don't want to jump in when it's at a high. If it's at historic highs, that's good for everybody that bought gold, you do not want to jump in for the most part, at a historic high. You want to jump in now.
Amy
Do you have what an ounce of gold is worth at this exact moment based on the decrease and to have you bought gold?
Bobby
Me? Yeah.
Doug
No. But I keep wanting to because we have a guy on the show, a gold guy who gave Amy her gold. Well, I guess you earned the gold. But she.
Amy
I did a project for him, and he paid me in a gold bar. Gold bar. Which. Don't think it's one of those big, huge bars. Those are so expensive. A gold bar is about, I don't know, like the size of a. I don't know. How do I describe this?
Bobby
Like a candy bar?
Doug
Which candy bar?
Amy
Like a. Like a domino. It's the size of a domino.
Bobby
Oh, wow. That's.
Doug
How much do you think it's worth? Because I'm. I looked up 1 oz gold bar, and it's given me a significant amount.
Amy
Is it around 4,000?
Doug
Yes.
Amy
Okay. Yeah.
Doug
Wow.
Bobby
That's what you have.
Doug
This is worth. Oh, my God.
Amy
Yes. Guys, we've got.
Doug
No wonder. She's just throwing around the word aura ring like crazy for a 350 ring. Dang, that's nice.
Amy
Okay, well, it was more had I got the gold ring. But listen, it goes. It's fluctuated because it's gone.
Doug
Right now it's at $4,873.89.
Bobby
Okay.
Amy
So that's about where it was when it was given to me. And then it went up, up, up. So then it was worth more, and now it's gone. So it's not like it's gone.
Doug
Dang. Big dog.
Amy
Way back down. Big dog.
Doug
Big dog eating over here. I didn't know that was Gonna be worth that much that. That domino of gold?
Amy
Yeah. It's tiny.
Doug
I want a Scrooge McDuck bar.
Bobby
A big bar.
Amy
Yeah, but those are hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Doug
But I asked.
Unknown Guest
They're 400 ounces, and it's between 1.9 to $2 million.
Doug
Okay.
Amy
Millions. Okay.
Unknown Guest
For a bar. For a bar. For like the Scrooge big duck one.
Bobby
And where would you keep that?
Doug
No, I wouldn't. No. I didn't know it was that much.
Amy
In a bank safe.
Doug
Yeah. No, I wouldn't. I don't even want that. I mean, I'd like to have it. Yes. But I'm not. What's. Like a bar like this. We've done this before three times. Like a bar like this big.
Amy
That's the one that's in the hundreds of thousands.
Unknown Guest
The kilogram.
Doug
Is that what.
Unknown Guest
Yeah, the one smaller than the 400 ounce one is a kilogram. 31.15 ounces. And that's between 85 to 150,000.
Bobby
Okay. Okay.
Doug
He doesn't have those in. I asked him.
Bobby
Oh, Kyle, the.
Doug
He could get them.
Amy
Can you get a bunch of the little nugget ones that I have?
Bobby
Well, you don't want a bunch of stacks.
Doug
I'll lose them.
Lunchbox
Exactly.
Doug
I can't even keep sunglasses or a wall. Watches. And without wondering if I'm losing them.
Amy
It's in a protective case.
Bobby
Oh, it is. Your. Your bar is.
Amy
Yeah. It's not just floating like. Like a. Like a quarter in my freezer. And I shall be transferring it soon. It's just. Freezer's where I keep a lot of things.
Doug
Let's see.
Amy
But I have an alarm.
Bobby
Yeah. And a watchdog.
Amy
Yeah.
Doug
I just got offered Snooki for a bobby cast. What?
Amy
I was pausing for a second, waiting
Bobby
for somebody to react.
Doug
Well, no, it's. But she's only here on a weekend, Mike. We wanted to come up on a weekend for Snooki.
Amy
Mike's like, I'd rather not.
Bobby
Ooh, Saturday.
Amy
She has a huge volley.
Doug
I know, I know, I know, I know.
Bobby
Have you talked to her?
Doug
No, I've never. Just on the phone, lunchboxes.
Amy
Yelled at her in a kind way.
Bobby
Yeah.
Doug
I'm gonna say ask about Friday. I would do Snooki as a bobby cast. We have micro that same day. You know, Micro. Dirty jobs.
Amy
Yeah, dirty jobs.
Bobby
His name's Mike. Oh, what's his name?
Doug
Mike Rowe.
Bobby
Mike Rowe. Okay. I thought you said micro. Like Micro Machines.
Doug
Oh, yeah.
Liberty Mutual Spokesperson
Not Micro.
Bobby
He's got a nickname like that.
Doug
That's cool. Mike Rowe, who does dirty jobs. Yeah. All right. Thank you, Amy, for your telling me something good. Was that yours? Yeah. Your ring? Got it.
Amy
Yeah.
Doug
Eddie.
Bobby
So I was telling you guys, my mother in law's in town, my father in law's in town, and man, they've been so helpful. You know, they did the laundry. My father in law did the dishes last night. And then last night they said, why don't you guys go on a date tomorrow? Like we'll watch the kids. Cause they're off for good Friday. And so my wife and I, after we're done with this, we're gonna go on a date. A little lunch date. We're go out to eat. Yeah. And then maybe take her to a movie. I don't. Haven't really decided yet, but I'm don't
Doug
go home at all. And then we go. Then we drive to Texas and then that's fine.
Bobby
So I'm excited about that because we never have like date time like that because one of my boys is homeschooled now, so we never have time alone.
Doug
You trust them with all the kids?
Bobby
Yeah, yeah. They're. I'm both of them. I think one, they would probably take over. But both of them, I think they can stand. Stand their ground.
Doug
You mean both the grandparents? Yes, because there's more than two kids.
Bobby
Correct. But if it was just grandma with the four boys.
Doug
Yeah.
Bobby
Trouble.
Doug
Got it. Lunchbox. Tell me something good.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Thanks to Abby, I learned that I have a new Mac computer. And I thought I could only use my charger and I didn't have it. I've been bumming scubas when. But he's not here. You can plug an old charger into one of these ports and it'll charge the new computer. That's cool. So you don't have to buy a new charger when you get this new computer. So. Thank you, Abby. And you can use your phone charger.
Doug
Boop.
Lunchbox
Right in there.
Doug
I don't port thing. Because your phone charger. Yeah. You can use easily. It's all the same.
Lunchbox
No, no, this new one, the charger is fatter and wider and it is just a magnetic one on the side. And I thought that was the only thing that would charge this computer. And now Abby showed me that these little two holes on the side, you can plug your phone charger in there and charge your computer.
Doug
Okay. I think he's back a generation then. Because the new computers. Right. Don't have the magnetic.
Bobby
Correct.
Amy
Right. His computer was very old. So now he's excited that he can use the same charger for his phone that he can on his computer.
Lunchbox
No, no, I know.
Amy
This is the new one.
Lunchbox
This is the new computer, guys. You guys are a generation behind. I am, right?
Unknown Guest
The new ones went to magnetic again.
Doug
They went back to where it was.
Unknown Guest
This one's magnetic again.
Doug
Why are they doing that?
Unknown Guest
Would you like to mess with this
Doug
so we can use the old charger?
Unknown Guest
Yeah,
Lunchbox
but I didn't know that. I thought it was only the magnetic. And I was at work, and I didn't have a charger, and Scuba's not here for me to bum his. And Abby's like, you know, you can just plug it in right there. And I was like, what?
Doug
So, boom, I learned they went back to the magnetic. I've known you could do the phone into the. Yes, but I didn't know they went back to magnetic. I haven't bought a laptop in forever. I use my phone 90% of the time now.
Bobby
You used to take your laptop everywhere.
Doug
I have mine with me today. I haven't even opened it. But, yeah, it's mostly my phone, but Lunchbox refuses to watch stuff on his phone.
Lunchbox
It's too small of a screen. I don't really understand how you guys do that.
Doug
And you have pretty good vision.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I just don't. I don't see. I mean, I guess on an airplane, I understand it. Like, I saw Morgan do it that one time. I was like, that's smart. But, like, when you're at your house, it makes no sense.
Doug
I sit at the bar and watch. At my house, I'm eating all the time. YouTube TV or. But it's like TikTok. Don't you watch, like, TikTok or Facebook or Instagram or whatever?
Lunchbox
I mean, very rarely, man. I very rarely look at it. Well, I just don't have time.
Bobby
Yeah, it makes sense.
Doug
You don't have time.
Lunchbox
No.
Doug
You take a nap every day for, like, two hours, right?
Bobby
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Yeah. I'd rather nap than look at my phone.
Doug
Okay, got it. See? But you do have time. You're just choosing to nap for two hours?
Lunchbox
Yeah. Nap for two hours. Yes. I mean, that's more important to me.
Bobby
The bathroom, though.
Lunchbox
What about the bathroom?
Bobby
You don't do it. You don't look at your phone in the bathroom?
Lunchbox
No, you don't.
Bobby
That's weird.
Doug
What do you do?
Bobby
I read in there, like, magazines.
Amy
You guys, it's not healthy to have anything.
Doug
Don't preach to us about what's healthy. Don't preach to us about what's healthy.
Lunchbox
Go ahead, Amy, tell us what's healthy.
Amy
Men in general. Y' all spend too much time in the bathroom and.
Doug
No, but if you're in there for five minutes, you have your phone.
Amy
Okay, five minutes. What's going on?
Bobby
That's average five minutes.
Amy
What do you mean, what's going on? Sometimes it's 10, sometimes it's 30. Okay, so now you're admitting it's 30?
Doug
No, occasionally. But I have bad gastrointestinal Intestinal issues.
Amy
Bobby gets a pass because of his sensitive geo. What is it? Gastrointestinal system. Men in general, I think that y' all were kind of taught. Oh, merman. We take the paper and we go in there and we sit down and we make it a whole thing. And like, y' all need to be the paper.
Bobby
Yeah, and I don't think anyone ever had that conversation with me. Listen, son, when you go to the Restroom, you take 30 minutes.
Amy
What were you used to when you were little? Not you, Bobby, but Eddie. Did you. In lunchbox, did you see your dad taking the newspaper into the bathroom?
Bobby
I remember going into their bathroom and seeing like, literature. So that was weird to me. Like, wow, there's like, stuff in here to read. That's crazy.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I mean, my dad used to take the Sports Illustrated in there and that's where I learned that. Habit.
Doug
Okay, but then you really can't touch it. No one else can use it if it's in there with you. It's been exposed. It's bi.
Amy
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bobby
Yes, it has. To the elements.
Zach
Hey, Donald, really flying on that treadmill?
Doug
I'm trying to run as fast AS T mobile. 5G home Internet, Zach.
Zach
Well, you better pick it up because now T Mobile has the fastest 5G home Internet according to OOKLA Speed Test.

Zach

Liberty. Liberty. Liberty.
Doug
Okay, Morgan, tell me something good.
Morgan
Yeah, I've gotten to go on two walks a day the last two days, which is really good for me. One, because I have not been moving a lot recently, and so I'm finally feeling good again to, like, be back in stride. The vertigo is lifting a bit.
Doug
You have your glasses on right now?
Bobby
No, no, it's off.
Doug
My screen's down. I can't tell. So no big red glasses today?
Morgan
No, I'm trying it out, seeing how I feel today. Trying to go a whole day without them and been walking to see how my balance is going. So I'm feeling good. I'm hoping that this was just a short episode.
Doug
Lunchbox. You have one?
Lunchbox
Yeah, my charger on the computer.
Doug
Oh, I didn't know that was this. Oh, my God.
Bobby
Yeah.
Doug
All right.
Bobby
It's a good one.
Doug
My birthday was yesterday. And for birthday, below average. For normal day, above average. So better than an average normal day, below average birthday. But what was good about it? I had Amy's leftovers. That's what I had for dinner. Leftovers.
Amy
Really sweet.
Doug
Really? What?
Bobby
You didn't get another dinner? Like, you just left. You ate the breakfast.
Doug
It's not like we're gonna get breasted. We're not gonna go anywhere.
Amy
The baby.
Doug
The baby can go places, but we didn't. And Caitlin's mom's in town. And she was like, we can go somewhere or we can order. And I was like, eh, it's last minute. I'll just eat Amy's chicken fried steak. I guess I misspelled it chicken friend steak.
Amy
Yeah, you did.
Doug
Which is pretty good.
Amy
I didn't know if you did that on purpose.
Doug
I wouldn't do something corny like that,
Bobby
but I liked it. That is kind of cool. Chicken friend. I like it.
Amy
Well, he's like, eating Amy's leftover or day two of Amy's chicken friend steak. And I'm like, that's what's up?
Bobby
Yeah, that's cool.
Amy
And apparently it was just a typo.
Doug
It was really good. But I had to order cracker barrel sides because nothing goes with chicken fried steak like fried okra and corn and broccoli and sweet tea. So did that. I need to get you those pans back though, right?
Amy
Yeah, I'll grab them.
Doug
They're not ours to keep.
Amy
Yeah, they belong to the chef, but I'll. Don't worry about it. Yeah, I'll grab them and make sure they get them back.
Doug
I did have a good cake. My wife got me a really cool Arkansas razorback cake. We had about a quarter of it that looked legit. Yeah, it was good. It's on my Instagram if you want to see it. Brought the rest of it for Eddie the family.
Bobby
Oh, I'm probably not gonna eat it all, but the boys will.
Amy
We can have a bite. Can I have a bite?
Bobby
You can have some. Yes, Amy can have some.
Doug
It's in the fridge here, so I
Amy
just take a little bite. It looks so good.
Doug
It's really good.
Amy
Like, when I saw it, like, I
Doug
want a little more right now too.
Bobby
Well, let's get it out.
Amy
It would go great with my coffee.
Doug
Well, my wife was like, are you gonna just take it to everybody when you work? I said, no, because I don't want to mess with in my studio. Like, I don't want cake in my studio that I had to pay all my money for. So be careful.
Amy
Are we gonna talk about the donuts that got brought to you? You can, because that made a mess.
Doug
I heard. So, Steph, B team Steph, our listener for 15 years, she sent up donuts, and it's super nice of her. And out in the lobby, if we have our own small lobby that's different than the rest of the building's lobby, I guess the donuts were just there.
Amy
Yes. And you were like, morgan brought them out and she said, hey, Bobby. Said we could all Share these. So they were out on the table and one was dug into already, but there was no silver or anything. And then I see Ray walking down the hall licking his fingers. And I said, ray, did you just stick your finger into the donut? It had icing on top, so it was all over. And he was like, yeah, but I mean, to be fair, he ate the part that he touched, so it wasn't gross. But still he dug his hands in there. So then I thought, well, I'm gonna go get knives and forks and napkins. So I go get KN. Forks and napkins. And then we're all gathered around and everybody's cutting into it. And they were a little crumbly because I assume these were likely dairy free or vegan type donuts for you. They tasted delicious. They were just a little crumbly. And even the forks and the knives and everything is sitting right there. And some people are just still going in with their fingers. And I'm so perfected by some people. Who do you think? La la la la la, Lunchbox. And I don't know, it's almost like he was acting like the. And I mean, to be fair, I guess it is easier to grab it with your hands, but.
Bobby
Well, and to be fair, forks are hard to him.
Doug
He can't.
Bobby
For some reason, with his shoulder problem, he can't really.
Doug
You can use a fork.
Amy
So that's how we shared the dessert for your birthday yesterday. I could imagine if he put the
Bobby
cake out there, people would just share their hands.
Doug
It's also why I don't have food out here. Like, you know what, I'll be honest. In the building that IR pays for, that's a whole building, that's a big company, pay for that. And then Eddie's like, in my building, I don't want stuff out and getting dirty.
Amy
I'm sure Eddie would be like, let me go get milk from the fridge that belongs to somebody else so we can all have something to drink.
Bobby
Somebody added sriracha sauce to the refrigerator that looked kind of good. I saw that the other day.
Doug
You mean to the company's fridge and you want some of that?
Bobby
Yeah, it looks good.
Amy
Yeah. So I don't know. The donuts were good, so it was a good time. But yes, you probably do have a good idea of how we consume food.
Doug
The cake is good. Have at it.
Bobby
Is it dairy free?
Doug
Yes, but you don't know the difference. Instead of the dairy, she used cherry. It's awesome.
Bobby
Really?
Doug
Like, yeah, it's great. So did that. We Watched the Thunder game last night. At least the first half. They were up like 73 to 30 on the Lakers. Caitlin's mom and Caitlin's dad, they watch every Thunder game, and Caitlyn watches a good amount of them, and so they were playing that game. So I watched the first half of that before went to bed. But it was a pretty good day.
Amy
Good.
Doug
Yeah.
Amy
Your first birthday as a dad.
Doug
Yeah.
Bobby
Get used to those.
Amy
Well, then it'll be his second and third and fourth.
Bobby
Yeah. They just become normal days. I think you said it before.
Doug
No, but last year was normal, too. There's no difference. Last year I did nothing either.
Bobby
You said it perfectly, though, where it's like, it's better than a normal day. But it was.
Doug
Yeah. Subpar birthday. Yes, but better than a normal day.
Bobby
That's perfect.
Doug
So. So I think that's probably my time with something good.
Bobby
All right, everybody in lunchbox. I think we'll have his.
Doug
The computer dude. He figured out the computer.
Bobby
Got it.
Lunchbox
Got it.
Doug
Although I did learn that the laptops now are back to the magnetic, which is the old. Why are they doing that? Why are they going back and forth, just growing with us.
Amy
Yes. They like to make us spend more money.
Doug
That's so stupid. That is so. But I think I already have a couple of those old chargers.
Amy
Well, I don't know that I do, because I was like, well, these are worthless now.
Bobby
Right. Threw them away.
Doug
All right. There you go. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. It's time for the good news with Bobby. Tell me something good. Fifth graders are writing letters to teenagers to encourage safe driving for prom, which I thought was pretty cool.
Unknown Guest
I know.
Doug
Your daughter's about to hit it up.
Amy
Yep.
Doug
Missouri elementary school students wrote handwritten letters to high school students ahead of prom to encourage safe driving and responsible choices.
Bobby
I like it.
Amy
Let's hope they listen.
Doug
I bet they listen to kids more than they listen to adults, for sure.
Amy
I mean, I think back to some of the kids, though, at my prom. And by kids, I mean also my group of friends.
Doug
Yeah.
Amy
And, yeah, there wasn't the most responsible decisions being made, but we tried to be as responsible as possible. Like, we had a bus, a party bus, and then we had a block of rooms at a hotel. What were our parents thinking?
Bobby
A block of rooms?
Morgan
Yes.
Amy
Because everyone was there just all hanging out. I mean, we were.
Doug
I think I needed a fifth grader to write me a letter going, hey, man, relax. Live a little.
Bobby
That's what you needed.
Doug
Yeah. I think I needed the opposite. Like, you know, it's a party. Have fun. You don't have to drop her off right when it's over. Yeah, yeah. Different lives. Different lives. But one of the students, Ivan Meyer, wrote a nerd encourage, wrote a note encouraging teens not to drink and drive and to stay around responsible friends. And I like it. It's a good little program. The young kids riding to the teenagers. That's from kshb. Great story. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. It's time for the Good News with Amy.
Amy
So Ashlyn Drew and her son Hudson were at McDonald's in Oklahoma. Hudson's only three years old. He looked over and saw an older man, elderly, eating by himself. So he looked at his mom. He's like, I'm. I'm gonna go over there and eat with him because he looks lonely. And she said that it made her so emotional. She was crying in the middle of McDonald's. She didn't expect to get that emotional. But to see her son have so much compassion and want to go over and sit with the old man that was eating by himself, it was just so sweet.
Doug
Hopefully she saw the work that she's been doing as a parent pay off in that kid. That also doesn't mean that if your kid doesn't have that, you've done a bad job. It just reminds me of Eddie saying he wishes his kids would do stuff like this.
Bobby
When we do these stories of like, oh, yeah, this kid did a lemonade stand and raised all this money for charity, my kids would never do that. They would raise the money and then go buy toys.
Doug
Well, this story, they have other good, selfless things about them.
Bobby
I know, but my mind just goes there.
Doug
