It's time for the good news with producer Eddie.
Eddie (Producer)
Tell me something good.
Andressa
Carter and Andressa, they are boyfriend and girlfriend. They've been dating for four years. They're filmmakers, though, and they' favorite movie is Shrek. And Carter's like, you know what? I'm ready to propose. But what he did was awesome. He's a filmmaker. So he got into the movie Shrek and he edited himself into the wedding scene. So while they're watching the movie one night, it's just movie night. They're watching their favorite movie. And when that scene pops up, Carter walks out of, like, the room, goes to the kitchen, and you see the video of the girl just watching the movie and sees instead of Shrek, Carter is walking down the aisle. So he, like, CGI'd himself into the movie. And she. And you could see her watching the movie going, hey, that's Carter.
Eddie (Producer)
Wait, what?
Andressa
And instead of Shrek talking, marrying Fiona, it's Carter proposing to her. And it's awesome.
Bobby Bones
I got. I got, like, mild chill bumps on my neck for that.
Austin Hankwitz
Yeah, that's cool.
Andressa
And then that's when Carter comes from the kitchen. He's dressed, like, in a suit and gets on one knee and actually he.
Bobby Bones
Did a wardrobe change, A quick wardrobe change, too.
Andressa
It was so cool, man.
Bobby Bones
That's a good one.
Andressa
Yeah. And the fact that they're filmmakers.
Bobby Bones
How do you get in a movie, though, like that? Because again, you have to do that, Create inside of it and then load it up on something and then play it from a device that's not inside.
Andressa
Yeah, you can't, like, go to Netflix.
Bobby Bones
Like, hack into that.
Andressa
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So there was a lot of work in that.
Austin Hankwitz
Well, it's filmmaker, right?
Bobby Bones
No, but I'm saying, even to play it, you've got to figure out how to go, hey, we're going to watch Shrek in a way that is unconventional because usually you'll watch it from whatever you have it saved.
Austin Hankwitz
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like maybe he. And starts it before she even comes in. Like he does it on a VHS or something. I don't know. Yeah, that's. That's a good one.
Andressa
It's really good one.
Bobby Bones
Congratulations to them. That's what it's all about.
Better Picks Announcer
That was.
Bobby Bones
Tell me something good. It's time for the good news.
Austin Hankwitz
With Lunchbox.
Eddie (Producer)
Last weekend in New Jersey, there's this 13 year old dude, and there's a retention pond got the ice over it. And he's like, let me go take a walk on that ice. Falls in. Help, help, help. Well, Sergeant Joseph Rager shows up. He's like, man, we got to get that boy out. They start throwing ropes to him and they can't pull him out. Can't pull him out. He's like, I can't feel my legs. And they're like, oh, hyperthermia setting in. So they start going out on the ice and they pull them to safety.
Bobby Bones
What was setting in?
Eddie (Producer)
Hypothermia.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Eddie (Producer)
What? I say, no, no, you. I'm pretty sure I said hypothermia.
Bobby Bones
I'm pretty sure you did, too. That's a good one.
Eddie (Producer)
Yeah. But Sergeant Joseph Rager and Corporal Stephen Spithalter, great job, man.
Bobby Bones
Shout out.
Eddie (Producer)
I mean, it takes a lot of guts to go out on that frozen ice you can fall into.
Bobby Bones
I don't trust it. I haven't lived enough cold places to trust frozen ice.
Andressa
I walked on that one in Wisconsin. That was scary.
Bobby Bones
There were cars parked on it.
Austin Hankwitz
Oh, yeah. No way.
Eddie (Producer)
Ice fishing is probably the craziest thing ever. I mean, you watch that, you see it on tv. When they show a football game in Wisconsin, they're like, oh, here are the people. Ice fishing. I'm like, that is bananas.
Andressa
What I don't understand about ice fishing is they put a little tent, right? And then they drill a hole in the ice and they fish. But then they have a little heater in there. I'm like, don't do the heater. You're not going to melt the ice.
Eddie (Producer)
That's. That's bad news.
Bobby Bones
They're not strong enough to melt the ice because the ice is so strong.
Andressa
I sure they know what they're doing.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, my friend Scotty does it all the time. Like, he goes out nice, fishes by himself.
Andressa
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
He hikes mountains by himself in the snow. So for Christmas, I bought him a satellite, cb, walkie talkie, whatever you want to call it, Radio. Because he would just be out. I'm like, dude, you need to have a satellite just in case because you're out there and there's no signal for a cell phone. So I bought him that, and to this day, he still hasn't died.
Andressa
Oh, good.
Bobby Bones
I take a little credit for that. Yeah, good story. That's what it's all about.
Better Picks Announcer
That was.
Bobby Bones
Tell me something good. DraftKings Sportsbook, an official sports betting partner of the NFL makes every playoff moment feel bigger than we got. Wild Card Weekend so I'm taking the packers over the Bears. I'm also taking the Bills over the Jaguars. That's just two of the games. There are so many games happening. And DraftKings, not only are they the best, but they have your back with early exit protection. Which means if the player in your eligible NFL prop bet goes down at any point in the first half, you still get paid in cash. The DraftKings sportsbook app. I love it. I use It Download the DraftKings sportsbook app. Use the code BONES. That's the code BONES. Turn 5 bucks into 300 in bonus bets. If your bet wins in partnership with DraftKings, the Crown is yours.

Let's play this voicemail here.
Listener
I just got pulled over by a state trooper in Texas, and I was listening to the podcast on my phone, and I had, like, put my. My phone was, like, in my passenger seat. And anyways, the cop asked me to roll down all the windows and asked if he could open. I'm in a minivan. He asked if he could open the back door because he thought there were other people in here, because he could hear y' all talking. And I just needed y' all to know that he thought y' all were actually in the car. Have a great day.
Capital One Representative
Bye.
Bobby Bones
You have a couple questions. One, I guess we weren't playing through the Bluetooth. We were just playing from the phone, Right? Yeah, because otherwise it would just sound like the radio. Two, if you get pulled over, how often does a cop go open up all your doors?
Austin Hankwitz
Well, maybe if he didn't see people, but he heard people. He thought, they're hiding. And if you're hiding, then that's suspicious.
Andressa
Oh, okay.
Eddie (Producer)
That's true. Or they're locked in the truck like.
Bobby Bones
You were trafficking people.
Austin Hankwitz
Mm. Or they're. Yeah. Doing something bad. They had to hide.
Bobby Bones
I thought that whole story. I've never had a cop pull me over and go, hey, I need you to open everything up.
Austin Hankwitz
Especially, I mean, I'm thinking if I pull. Or if I was an officer and I pulled over a woman in a minivan, I'm, like, thinking, ah, she's safe.
Bobby Bones
That's what you would think immediately. Just. Woman in minivan, for sure.
Okta Representative
You're good to go.
Bobby Bones
Sexist. Positively sexist. Yes. Let's go with voicemail. This one right here.
Listener
My husband did the exact same thing that Eddie did with the ice maker. And whenever we realized that I wasn't gonna use it, we decided to return it. And what we did is I just got the money that it cost, and I can go buy whatever I want. I think Eddie needs to do the same thing with his wife. Give her the money. All of it, not half of it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, if you missed that segment, they bought an ice machine.
Austin Hankwitz
No, Eddie gave it as a gift.
Andressa
Yeah, for Christmas. Okay.
Bobby Bones
And then.
Andressa
But it's our money.
Bobby Bones
They decided she didn't want it enough that they spent on it. So Eddie's gonna take it back and then just keep the money.
Andressa
Yeah, it's gone.
Austin Hankwitz
But that's why the gift part's important.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but I think since you gifted to her, you still gift her that money.
Austin Hankwitz
Yes.
Andressa
Like a gift card. Yeah, because it could be credit to.
Bobby Bones
What if you just let her take it back and then she has.
Andressa
Oh, that's not a bad idea.
Bobby Bones
The opportunity to buy whatever's gone.
Andressa
I sent it back already. It's gone.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you mailed it back?
Andressa
Yeah. Take a UPS store, man.
Bobby Bones
Good for you. I don't send a single thing back through mail. I kind of just accept my losses. If I get something through mail, I'm like, oh, doesn't fit. That's on me, dude.
Andressa
They make it so easy now.
Bobby Bones
My wife sends stuff back all the time.
Austin Hankwitz
What do you do with your returns that don't get returned?
Bobby Bones
Thank you for asking. I hang it up for a while, and then I realize once I'm donating, I'm probably never gonna wear this thing that I knew I wouldn't wear because it didn't fit when I got it and should have sent it back. And then I put it and I donate it, but I don't do it immediately because I think maybe I'll find a use for that. I never do. But I don't send anything back via mail because it just feels like it's too much of a process. And they even send those.
Austin Hankwitz
They make it so easy now.
Andressa
So easy.
Bobby Bones
I still don't do it.
Austin Hankwitz
And then the money shows back up.
Eddie (Producer)
And you're like, wow, it's really awesome.
Bobby Bones
The two things I don't do. I don't send stuff back in the mail, and I don't try clothes on at the store.
Austin Hankwitz
That's when you know you've made it.
Bobby Bones
No, I just don't like pants. Dang, dude, you've made it.
Austin Hankwitz
You don't even have to return.
Andressa
Congrats.
Bobby Bones
I think I was doing this before I made it. I don't think I was buying it as much stuff before I made it, but I will not try pants on for any reason whatsoever.
Andressa
Oh, you're so lucky.
Bobby Bones
I won't. It's just so annoying. I don't want to take my pants off in a dressing room.
Austin Hankwitz
So you'll. You won't try pants on, and let's say you'll buy three different kind just to try on at home. And then.
Bobby Bones
Well, I don't buy three different Pants as to try on at home. I buy one pants that I think fits, and then I go home with it. My wife will make me if she's with me, but I often don't buy clothes with her. I don't buy that many clothes anyway anymore. But if I go and, like, we're at the mall or something, and if I just have pants, I know what size I wear. I wear 32 waist. So I just buy them and then if they don't fit, you don't pay.
Austin Hankwitz
Attention to the length.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I pay, but it's always same size. 32, 34.
Andressa
Husky. You know, there's different, like, sizes, different styles.
Austin Hankwitz
Husky, athletic.
Bobby Bones
Not anymore.
Austin Hankwitz
Yeah, yeah, there are.
Bobby Bones
There's no husky. Oh, it's just size. I wear 32 34s. I know there are different styles, but not sizes. Like there. There's wide leg, there's slim. Yeah, no, they're slim.
Andressa
I've seen straight legs. Straight leg.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, there's different cuts. I think you're doing, like, kid pants. They still make husky. That feels like it's a bit insensitive with today's world.
Austin Hankwitz
I don't know.
Andressa
Husky.
Bobby Bones
We threw it out there. Like, it was still a process. Back in the day when you get, like, Levi's. They had those when I was a kid, but I never was the husky. Was never the husky kid. I guess chalk that up to another one of my things as a kid. I can.
Andressa
Lucky.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I was lucky. Give me the number one voicemail, please.
Listener
I made it to the end of the podcast on January 8th. Part two listener.
Austin Hankwitz
Sorry, I can't DM you on Instagram.
Listener
Love your show. Bye, man.
Bobby Bones
I got a lot of those. I appreciate all those messages because I said, hey, if you got to the back end of part two on the podcast, like, send me a dm. So I appreciate all of them. So I got a bunch of DMs on that. And then I would get people because my Netflix podcast starts on January 26th. Yeah, January 26th, the Bobby Castle's on Netflix. And people would just respond and go, hey, I don't have Netflix. Can't watch it.
Austin Hankwitz
Cool.
Andressa
Thanks for telling me.
Bobby Bones
Just cancel Netflix. I would, but I can't.
Andressa
Okay.
Bobby Bones
All right.
Andressa
That's, like, kind of supporting you. Like, I want to, but I can't.
Okta Representative
Right.
Austin Hankwitz
They're acknowledging, which is nice. Ish.
Andressa
That's how I take it.
Bobby Bones
At least. I tweeted a picture says, hey, the Bobby Castro Netflix, January 26th. And I would get those. I hate Netflix. I canceled it but good luck. What?
Austin Hankwitz
Who hates Netflix?
Bobby Bones
That's weird. Well, I think it's the one. If you're buying just one, I think that's the one you have to get for sure. We are gonna start that show. What? His and hers, tonight. Have you started it?
Austin Hankwitz
Mm.
Bobby Bones
You've started it.
Austin Hankwitz
Yeah, I'm done.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you are. You can review that tomorrow then. Yeah, I like John Bernthal a lot. John. John Burn. That's the name, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you know who that is?
Austin Hankwitz
Yeah, he's the main Punisher. I don't know him from as the Punisher. I know him from something else. What is it?
Bobby Bones
The Bear, maybe?
Austin Hankwitz
The Bear.
Andressa
Who is he in?
Bobby Bones
The Bear is his brother, I think, or his cousin.
Andressa
Oh, the cousin.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Is that a later season?
Austin Hankwitz
But I also know he's in the.
Andressa
First season, the cousin. This is the first season.
Bobby Bones
Oh, really?
Andressa
And other seasons. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Never jumped back in. He's also in the Walking Dead early on. Ah, the Walking Dead.
Austin Hankwitz
Yeah. We go way back to probably 2010.
Bobby Bones
I think that was my introduction to him, was Walking Dead. Oh, he was so good. I think he's one of my favorite actors. I think I go, Jesse Plemons.
Andressa
You love him.
Bobby Bones
John Bernthal. And then Keanu Reeves is in the Ring of Honor. He just isn't doing a lot right now. I think those are my three favorite actors.
Andressa
He was wanted at one time.
