Tell me something good. We watched a few episodes of Wire. Oh yeah? You haven't been here? Oh yeah, I forget he's been gone, he's been ill. So he doesn't know like the stuff that's been happening. Tell me it is true. Because I was talking about our listeners and I said, hey, if you're hearing this episode and it's like three months ahead of time, just skip ahead. There's crap that happens in like a few days that I forget sometimes even little things because Lunchbox was just gone. He didn't know that. It's fine.
Morgan
Just wait. Let's just watch it.
Bobby
I hear you. And that's why we're continuing to watch it.
Eddie
You stick with it.
Bobby
Yeah. The good news is, and I got a few things, we started watching the Wire. We don't do anything on the weekends. Like I'm telling you, there's nothing that we can do. We're locked into the baby schedule because it's feed every two and a half hours. It's chains and feeds and nap. I mean, we are locked in. So can't go anywhere. We really don't. Not yet. She doesn't have her two month shots yet. So we're playing it pretty safe here. She's not two months. That's why we're not holding her out of her two months shots. She's just not too much. Yeah, she's not two months. So my wife had brought it up before. We should start watching the Wire. And I don't know, there's so many good shows on now. Why do we watch an old show? And I think we watched four episodes. I think back when it came out is awesome. It's starting to slow burn me just a little bit. But I'm thinking that it was amazing then and maybe it's just not as amazing now. But I could be wrong. I'm wide open to it because we're investing time in it, that's all.
Morgan
That's a great question because it has been so many years since I watched it. At least a. A decade.
Bobby
I think they just celebrated either 20 or 25 year anniversary of it.
Eddie
Oh, did you watch it live, Lunchbox?
Bobby
No, I didn't watch it live when it was happening. No.
Morgan
Because I didn't have HBO. I bought the DVDs.
Bobby
So we did start it. I did say we were gonna start it. We watched 10 minutes the first episode and checked out just because the baby. But it started in 2022. So I guess they just had their 2002. Oh, yes, good point. Yeah, 2002. So I guess not 25 years, but I guess they had their 20th. Wow. Anniversary. A Couple years ago. Yeah, we're in. We're watching it. It's just fun to see all the people, though, that went on to be very famous from it. Michael B. Jordan's a young kid playing a character in it, Idris Alba.
Eddie
Oh, he's in that, too.
Bobby
Yeah. Yep. That guy from Dominique west, from the Crown. He's the Crown now.
Eddie
How many seasons?
Bobby
It's five.
Morgan
Four or five. Yeah.
Bobby
Dude, I'm not saying it's not going to be good, but here's my good news. We started it. We've invested in it. We definitely thought this is not for us at first because it was just so dated. And then I had to imagine. Sometimes I like to watch shows that are set at that time back then where they didn't have cell phones and stuff. So why just act like it's that?
Commercial Announcer
Right?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
So that's number one. Let's see. Was there anything else? It just starts to blur together at this point. When the weekends come, I know that I'm about to do nothing except just sit around and relieve my wife. I can kind of get the baby to stop fussing and crying, though. If I march, I can hold the baby and march and sing to the beat, and then she will calm down. That's about it. That's about my strength when it comes to calming the baby down. So, yeah, that's probably it. Arkansas beat Mississippi State in the softball series, which was good. Their top 20 team went to Mississippi State and won that, so that was good. Other than that, just my normal weekend. Amy, anything good?
Amy
Yeah. My son had friends spend the night all weekend. So Friday night and Saturday night.
Commercial Announcer
I was wrong.
Bobby
I was wrong. Can I stop you real quick? I won 1300 bucks on Rory winning the Masters.
Eddie
Huge.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
Amy sidekicking me. I won 1300 bucks on Rory winning the Masters.
Amy
I was about to mention that, but that's on me. I can't do your. Tell me something good for you and
Bobby
then start yours over.
Amy
I don't want to brag. Cause, I mean, that's fun. That I got that right. But with my son having friends coming over on Friday when he got home from school, I remembered from back when the kids had smaller beds. We have two twin mattresses in our attic. And I thought, our attic is easy to get to. It's not one you have to pull down and climb up. You walk through a closet and. And it's there. So I thought, okay, these mattresses are easy to get to. We have a game room area. How fun. If we pull the mattresses down and make the beds up, and then they get to sleep in the game room and, like, make a whole thing out of it. And I'd never thought to do that before. And when he heard me suggest it, like, his eyes lit up, and I was like, I don't know, but it might be sort of a process, like, to get the mattresses down. He's like, no, we're committed now. At this point, we're committed. So we go in the attic, and we both pull the mat, and we take them down the stairs, and then back up these other little stairs above the garage to the game room. I mean, it was sort of a process, but then it was totally worth it, like, for him to have just his slumber party in the game room.
Bobby
And could you build that out and not buy construction, but, like, put stuff there and make it.
Amy
I mean, I'm definitely not taking the mattresses up to the attic anytime soon. I think we'll just hide them behind the couch in that area, and then we can bust them out when he has friends over. But it did make me think, yeah, like, adding. I think it would be added value to my house anyway to make, like, a bunk area or something, because that room. It's such a catch. All right, now that it did make me think, if I put some thought into this, I could add some value to this room to where if a family wanted to buy it one day. Because I already do have some offers sometimes, but if it. It would just. I think they would appreciate that. That part of the bonus room people
Bobby
are offering you on this house?
Amy
Mm, yeah. My realtor reached out.
Bobby
Every house Amy buys, people just show up and offer.
Eddie
Every single one.
Bobby
Yeah.
Amy
She's like, I got people interested. And I'm like, well, I don't.
Eddie
So you have a realtor, like, an. Like a realtor that just. They're with you at all times?
Amy
She. No, she's not. But she's.
Morgan
Great question.
Amy
But she's also a friend. But she's the one that sold my last house and bought this house, so she knows. She also has clients that are looking, and they're looking for my neighborhood, and.
Eddie
Oh, so maybe it's the realtor being like, well, I have a friend that has a house there. I'll ask her if she's right.
Amy
Right.
Eddie
Okay, that makes sense.
Bobby
She moves every three months, so why would we not ask her?
Amy
No, I'm at least holding. No, every two. Two years, at least. Because then I don't have to pay capital gains.
Eddie
Oh, that's fancy. What does that even mean.
Bobby
Yeah, it's capital gains, though. On a primary residence, if you don't
Amy
own it for two years, then you have to pay it.
Eddie
Hey, hey. What is that? Tell me more.
Amy
So you would pay it. It's a tax you pay on the sale of your home. But if you own it for two years, then you don't have to pay it.
Bobby
And it's also on. Other than just homes, too.
Amy
Yeah, other properties, but particularly bonds and real estate.
Bobby
Yeah.
Amy
And depending on where you live, this could be totally different. But where we live, you have to own your. Like if I sold my primary residence. What. Which I'm about to hit the two year mark, but if I were to sell it today, I would have to pay taxes on my earnings, on my profit.
Eddie
Sounds next level stuff.
Amy
Well, yeah, but anybody? It's not.
Bobby
We had to pay capital gains on the house that we sold that we lived in before.
Amy
You owned it for two years, though.
Bobby
I thought so too, but we ended up paying some capital gains on that.
Amy
Well, maybe it was. You're in a different bracket or something.
Eddie
I'm sure that's definitely true. It's possible in a different bracket.
Amy
Amy, once you hit a certain level.
Bobby
Hey, let's not act like Amy's a popper, okay? I.
Amy
What?
Morgan
A what?
Bobby
A popper. What's that?
Amy
I don't know what that means.
Eddie
Like she's popping.
Morgan
No, she's.
Amy
Who uses this word? Are we old?
Eddie
Let's figure this out.
Bobby
Elton John uses it in a song.
Amy
Hold Me Closer.
Morgan
Tiny popper.
Bobby
Or the Prince and the Pauper. Mark Twain. I could also be saying it's spelled P A, U. It could be an accent.
Amy
Papa. Papa.
Bobby
No, but you. How would you say it?
Amy
P A U. P E, R. P A U. Popper. I'd say.
Bobby
Yeah, popper.
Eddie
So it's an old term, but it's
Bobby
somebody who's extremely poor or looks poor or.
Amy
I'm not claiming to be.
Bobby
No, I know it was a joke. Or someone that needs more.
Eddie
That would be me.
Bobby
What's the. What's the. Elton Johnson has popper now. All I know is that's where I hear it mostly. Hold on.
Amy
Just pop? I have no idea.
Bobby
Huh?
Amy
My Elton John.
Bobby
I'll find it. Go ahead, tell me something good. Lunchbox.
Morgan
Well, I mean, I'm a little disappointed in the first two. Tell me something good. So it was supposed to be lunchboxes back. Lunchbox is back. And then you come to me. But mine is I'm back. I mean, people have been missing me. People have been like, man, the show isn't the same without you. So here I am. I'm back, I'm healthy, and it sound great. Feels good.
Eddie
I don't know how you recover so quickly, though. Like, the recovery is so fast with your voice, all of it.
Bobby
What do you mean?
Eddie
Like, you sounded like crap just a few days ago.
Morgan
I know. That's called a virus, okay? It comes, it goes, you flush it out. You drink lots of liquid. That's what they say. Stay hydrated, drink lots of fluid. But what does that do, really? Does that mean you, like, if the more you drink, the quicker the virus goes out in your urine? I really have no idea, but it just feels good to be back.
Bobby
Leave on is the Elton John song
Eddie
that has the word Popper Levon loves so funny.
Amy
Bobby's glad you're back.
Bobby
I just. But I can't. I don't.
Eddie
I don't remember that line. I know that song.
Amy
Don't act like you're a pauper.
Eddie
And the sound better leave On.
Bobby
No, I know. I just. It's something else. I got to find it now. It's in my head. Okay, what else you got, Eddie?
Eddie
Okay, so this is really cool. I went to Costco for the first time in a long time. And, guys, I got gas at Costco for $3.69 a gallon. That is crazy, because by my house, it's $4, so I didn't know that existed. And I've always heard, like, oh, the lines at Costco are crazy. Like, don't get gas at Costco. It takes forever.
Amy
No, do get gas at Costco. It goes quickly.
Eddie
Well, that's what I was gonna say. It goes quickly. I got it so fast, and it was cheap. It made my day. And that makes me sound old because I get excited over cheap gas. But, guys, it's a real thing. I'm looking for cheap gas now.
Bobby
Bobby's still looking for this on the Doobie Brother. It's not Credence Clearwater Revival.
Eddie
Oh, and my son, too. He won his basketball tournament championship.
Amy
Oh, that's fun. He won.
Eddie
Yeah, one of them did.
Amy
That's legit.
Eddie
That was legit. That was in Lebanon. Lebanon, Tennessee.
Bobby
Yeah.
Eddie
So we spent our whole weekend there. But it was cool. They won.
Bobby
Is it better if you spend a whole weekend somewhere that you win than you spend all weekend?
Amy
For sure. I spent a bunch of time at a track meet the other day, and Stevenson fell down. But he didn't. The kid in front of him fell down. So then he. Stevenson, tripped over that kid. And they both felt like a pile up at the start and it completely. Yeah, I was like, let's get a do over.
Morgan
No do overs.
Bobby
Did you ask for that?
Amy
No, I didn't know. But as a mom, like I felt bad for these kids. That. And it was just such a bummer because it was right out of the gate and it impacted his time. I mean, a few days before that he had like a 458 or 459 or something for the mile. And then this one was a 514 because he fell to the ground and then had to get back up. And then I think it shook him like he was.
Bobby
Did he have like blood and.
Amy
No, no, no. Because thankfully, I mean he fell on top of a kid. So like the other kid hit the truck.
Morgan
Oh, good, good, good, good.
Eddie
He stepped on his head and everything.
Amy
No, he fully fell down and then like had to get back up. And then I thought, oh man, maybe they'll do a restart. Like, oh, whoopsie. Maybe a little crowded on the track.
Bobby
What if they did that in nascar? Oh, there's a wreck. All right, start over, everybody. All the wreck cars. Fix yourself up real quick. They do slow it down. Yeah, but the people that got in
Eddie
the wreck don't go the back. Yeah, the guys are getting the wreck. If they can still drive.
Bobby
Yeah, if they can drive.
Amy
Yeah. But it was like we waited for hours, multiple hours for this race, for this one moment. And then the first five seconds it was all right. Well, there goes that.
Bobby
Is it Chili Peppers?
Eddie
What song you mean?
Amy
Red Hot Chili Peppers?
Bobby
Give it away. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it. Give it away, give it away, give it away now. Give it away, give it away, give it away now I can't tell if I'm a kingpin or a popper. That's it. Yeah. Greedy little people in a sea of distress.
Amy
That's it.
Bobby
I knew someone was driving me crazy.
Eddie
He got there.
Bobby
God.
Eddie
Did you hear all our tell me something goods?
Bobby
I don't care. People didn't message the show wasn't good. And you, you're whatever. Cheap gas. No, that's okay, that's okay. That's a real one. Yeah, yeah, that's a real one. But I was not listening that much. No, I was focused in on what this was. Yeah. Again, guys, I want to tell you, I have electric cars. I know it. It's extremely valuable. I don't even look at the gas signs, cuz I have an electric car.
Eddie
Good for you, man. Cuz I look at them. I look at them and I just get in a bad mood.
Morgan
Yeah, but what about your electric bill? Like, is it huge?
Bobby
I have no idea.
Amy
He doesn't look at that big.
Eddie
Different tax.
Bobby
I literally don't know.
Amy
Like, hey, he's.
Bobby
You want the truth? I don't, I don't know. It goes to my, it goes to my business manager. I don't ever see my bills unless it's like when we fill up our pool with the water after the pool have been broken. And then I know how much that was. I was like $6,000 to fill the pool.
Amy
Yeah, yeah, yeah. What the.
Eddie
That was like so crazy. I saw a tik tok of somebody asking Charles Barkley, like, hey man, what do you think about the economy thing? He's like, that's not fair to ask me that question. I've been rich for a long time. Like, I, I don't know about that stuff. Luckily I'm blessed. Like, it was crazy. But he's like, I'm not going to answer that. I can't.
Bobby
Well, that's why it's like, it's. Gas sucks. I do notice it in my Uber eats. That's gone up a couple bucks.
Eddie
Oh, are they raising prices because of.
Bobby
They have to because of gas. I haven't flown anywhere, so I've been buying any flights gone nowhere because of baby for a few months. So I haven't seen it there.
Eddie
But yeah, my father in law said the two times he flew it has gone up.
Amy
Oh, I've thought, I thought I was looking at some flights the other day and I thought these prices seem, they seemed really ridiculous, but I don't know what that is, if it's because of fuel or maybe flights have just been crazy for a while, but it seemed a lot for. I mean it was going to be about close to a thousand dollars.
Bobby
Were you trying to buy it in like five minutes? No, like your flight in five minutes?
Amy
No. This was over a month out from California to Nashville. A round trip ticket. So. And it was on Southwest. Of course you look at it one way and it's like, okay, 450 this way and then for one way. And then I mean, of course now that is a lower travel day and that's the high. It was the lowest price ticket, but it was for a nonstop because otherwise you can make multiple stops and get a cheaper ticket. But I feel like I used to be able to get a nonstop ticket for less than that back in our day and back in the day, man. And then I do not like Southwest's new system. Don't like it. I don't like it.
Bobby
I've not been on a flight since they've changed the system.
Amy
I have. And it's weird.
Eddie
You're talking about the seating.
Bobby
Yeah, it's weird because it's Southwest, but it's not weird because you flown other airlines and it's the same.
Amy
Yeah, it's weird because it's like, not Southwest doing that. You're not. I mean, I'm sure we'll adjust and it's going to be fine. But I'm like, well, I don't even know.
Morgan
I think they're working out the kinks because I. I did it one time, and I don't think they have the boarding process right because people were having to walk all the way to the back to put their bag above the seat and then walk back to their seat in the front. So.
Bobby
But that's if people that stole the front.
Amy
I know.
Bobby
Why not put your back. That's because they're idiots.
Amy
Yes. Some people.
Bobby
That's because people that are sitting in the back put their stuff in the front so they don't have to worry about it.
Eddie
All right.
Bobby
It's not that they've.
Morgan
But that's what I'm saying. I think they should board it where like, the first 10 rows get on first, the next 10 rows get on second.
Amy
Yeah. First class.
Morgan
That way you just keep going back and so no one will be taking your baggage space because it was just like, oh, my gosh, people climbing over seats. Here, let me move out of your way. My bag's way back there. It's like, oh, I feel like a
Bobby
little bit, though, that was happening whenever it was free for all, too, because people would. Could go sit anywhere. They just throw their bags up in the front and walk to the back. Maybe that's a little more than that now, but people do that crap. Whenever you could sit wherever you wanted, you got a seat in the back, or you go to the middle, your first spot, you find. You throw it in there.
Morgan
I never realized people did that.
Eddie
Yeah. Because if you don't have. There's no room up there.
Bobby
They check it, and you don't have to put it behind your seat because you got to go back and get it.
Eddie
That's true.
Bobby
Yeah. And this. Yeah. Levon's in my head, but I can't tell if I'm a kingpin or a popper. Man, I was gonna drive me crazy, guys. I was gonna go home. I couldn't do any more of the show.
Eddie
You're like the best though when you finally figure it out, you're like, ah, okay, got it. I love that
Bobby

Geico Gecko
And now for a bit of breaking news. Between your breaking news with me, the Geico gecko, here are some things you ought to know today. People who switch their car insurance to Geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that. Nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz. My ficus just heard that. And finally, animal experts have confirmed that goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish there.
Morgan
It feels good to get good news.
Commercial Announcer
It feels good to gecko.
Bobby
Okay, tell me something good, Morgan.
Morgan
I have a new phone. Really exciting day, because as you guys know, the cruise ruined my old phone.
Amy
Oh.
Bobby
Yeah.
Morgan
I was not able to do videos. I couldn't facetime people. I was like, in a. Well, it sounded horrible. And my phone started really acting up. The bat, it was just dying left and right.
Eddie
So that's really big.
Morgan
It's the same size as my other one.
Bobby
She doesn't know she got an iPad.
Morgan
Yeah.
Bobby
Oregon.
Morgan
It is kind of the size of my face.
Bobby
I have to get the bigger phone for the most part, too, because I can't see very well. But I think that one's bigger than mine. I haven't got a new phone in a while. Hold yours up.
Morgan
They kind of look like the same
Amy
size, but mine's smaller.
Bobby
I think yours might be bigger.
Eddie
I think yours is bigger, Morgan.
Morgan
Here, hold that up to Bobby's lunchboxes.
Amy
Is gonna be the smallest.
Bobby
Yeah, yours is a little bit bigger.
Amy
Let me see.
Morgan
Yeah, I mean, yours is probably.
Amy
Oh, we have the same lunchbox, and I have the same little. This is riveting.
Morgan
But it does have the zoom on this one. Goes like, times 50.
Eddie
What?
Morgan
I mean, you can see crazy things
Bobby
like Diana Rossini and Mike Vrabel.
Eddie
Maybe that's how they did it.
Bobby
Nad, I think. And, you know, we were talking about this last week a bunch. I do think that was a PI And I'm not. I got that from the Internet. And then the more that the Internet talks about it, it seems like that's the case. Like somebody was trying to catch them. Because you don't go out to that place in Sedona, Arizona, and be there to take those pictures unless, you know, you're there to take pictures of something.
Eddie
Yeah. And recognize those two.
Bobby
And also, they suspended her. And for a while, they were like, nothing to see here. But then they suspended her and people are like, well, how come he doesn't get suspended? There's a difference. He. Her. His job isn't covering her. Oh, her job is covering him.
Amy
But wasn't he giving her info?
Bobby
Okay, but like her, if they both were cheating, I don't know the personal dynamics of the story because they both were married. I don't know who knows what in each relationship. Every relationship's different. But her job is to be a reporter and to have information and to have sources and cover the league. And she would have information. Yeah. A lot of the times it was from. It was about something to do with him and she was here covering the Titans. And so are you getting that information because you're, you know, doing the magical hug to make the story come? If so, that is why she suspended. Because her job is to cover with integrity and have sources. His job is to coach football. Whatever he does on the side.
Amy
But was he giving her the information or she was just learning it by proxy of like, could be both or either.
Bobby
And that's not illegal.
Amy
Near him or.
Bobby
Nothing's illegal.
Amy
When he goes to take a shower, she sneaks into his phone.
Bobby
But why she. Why does she have his phone while he's showering? Oh, yeah.
Eddie
Yeah. Amy, I can't get your phone while you're showering.
Bobby
Yeah, yeah.
Amy
Wait, what? That's what happens in the movies.
Bobby
Yeah, but they would already have to be close together for that to happen.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
Like her job where she is supposed to be a trusted reporter.
Amy
I get it.
Bobby
Has suspended her as a trusted reporter because she's not supposed to do that with her sources.
Amy
Does sports journalists have the same type of report? I don't know. Yeah, the integrity category is like a.
Bobby
It also if a dude was with a woman in the same situation and the dude was a journalist, he would also be suspended. It is not a female only thing. What? What? Say that again.
Amy
Well, like is the integrity of a sports journalist. I. I just didn't know there was because I mean, obviously when you're reporting on other issues of the world, it's nice to have a neutral, like non biased reporter. I appreciate but like in sports does is it the same same but like what would it be? They would just lean more like they're rooting for the a particular team.
Bobby
Well, maybe you wouldn't trust what they were saying if certain information would help.
Amy
But aren't they just giving you what you just saw with your eyeballs?
Bobby
No, like they're not.
Amy
They're reporting on.
Bobby
Sometimes you're knowing no. You know, like who could be traded. Who wants to be traded.
Amy
Oh, gotcha. That makes sense.
Bobby
Stories that people don't want to get out. Stories that are leaked because a coach doesn't like a player and so he leaks a story that nobody knows. To this there's just. Sure. Is it all trivial in the grand scheme? Yes. Yeah. But I do think it was a PI that was there.
Morgan
So PI meaning potentially hired by one of their spouses or PI from like their profession.
Bobby
I don't know. But I'm going to assume just based off of now the more knowledgeable accounts talking about it. A spouse. A lot of accounts that have blue check marks think it's a him. The husband of her. Oh, that hire the PI but nobody really knows.
Amy
What if it's a competitor? Like someone that wants her position?
Bobby
I don't think that's a position that you just have a ladder and the next one up gets it.
Amy
Okay.
Morgan
And wasn't she. I believe it was her. That she also had a similar thing before. Not with him, but with somebody else.
Bobby
Yeah, with the. Well, it used to be the Redskins commanders the wife. But that ended up being, they said unfounded at the time. So we really know nothing. Except you don't interlock fingers. We never saw the people, at least I haven't that they all claim were with them.
Eddie
Yeah, they were with a group of people.
Bobby
It's a $2,000 a night Sedona, Arizona hotel where adults only.
Eddie
And we've talked about this like if we were the other people, I would have no problem being like, no, no, like I was there. Like we were all there. That was the game we were playing.
Morgan
Or they could have just posted a picture of them with those people like five minutes later. Like, oh no, here's a picture of us. Still no picture.
Eddie
Nothing.
Bobby
No pictures and no friends coming forward to say they were there.
Morgan
Pretty obvious.
Bobby
And even if the friends did come forward, even if I was like, yeah, I got Amy's back and said yeah, I was there and I really wasn't. They feel like they'd want. Okay, show us proof.
Amy
Bobby's like walking his baby in Nashville.
Bobby
In spirit. I mean, in spirit.
Amy
How about that guy running for governor in California, Eric Swalwell?
Bobby
It turns out now that that dude again, everything always comes out after. Like he's kind of known for that.
Amy
Yeah. So I mean he's. He's removed himself from the race. So he's, he's done.
Bobby
Anyway.
Amy
So whereas a couple of days ago he's like, I'm gonna fight this. And then now it's like, you know, this is more of my fight, not a campaign fight. But he's being accused by. Yes. Four women. And I feel like there's more. I'm sure. Yeah, he's some heinous things. And.
Bobby
Well, let me read. Because allegedly, Democrat Representative Eric Swalwell's abrupt exit from the race for California governor left his rival scrambling to lock down he. His former supporters in a crowded contest with no clear leader, injecting more turmoil into the campaign to lead the nation's most populous state. So I.
Amy
One of them's alleging rape.
Bobby
What I think, though, I think this wasn't a Republican taking down a Democrat. I think it was another Democrat taking down a Democrat to get him out so there'd be one Democrat. Because California's governor race is kind of weird. It's like the people with the most votes run for office regardless of whatever political party they're from.
Amy
Well, so he was saying, this is MAGA trying to take me down.
Bobby
I don't think it was. I think it was within his own party.
Amy
Well, so there's a girl, and I can't find her account anymore because it just popped up on my. For me. And she had an interview set with Eric Swalwell, and then when she posted about it, something like, to her followers to get like, hey, what questions? Or whatever, she got a DM from someone that was like, ew, he's no bueno. This is what happened. So she started doing some digging, and then she reached out to someone else who knew someone else, and she started to gather all these women, and for the last couple of months, was working on putting this out. And so from what I gathered from her and the team she had built, they sort of broke this and got the victims to be willing to go against him, because I think the victims thought they were kind of the only one. And then through her storytelling or through her investigating, she was able to piece together, you are not alone. Here we have this woman and this woman, and now they have representation, and then that's how the story. So then I was like, well, it's not an inside political thing. Like, this was a. I think it
Bobby
started that way, though.
Amy
Oh, okay.
Bobby
So, I mean, politics is dirty.
Amy
I know he.
Bobby
And by the way, I'm not saying he's not. Dude sounds like a bad dude, and it sounds like he's been. Just from what I'm reading from other people who are now writing more on it, it sounds like this has been something that's been happening for a while, and a lot of people knew about it.
Amy
Yes. One girl that used to work on the Hill, she's like, oh, yeah, I was just known. And I mean, she was a woman that like to stand against this stuff, but she's like, what's the point of fighting something? This is like a known thing, and nobody was doing anything about it.
Bobby
So in California, everyone runs in the same primary. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, et cetera. All voters can vote for any candidate, regardless of party. The top two candidates with the most votes advance to the general election, even if they're from the same party.
Amy
Oh.
Bobby
And so it looked him being up at the top, from what I read, it looked as if two Republicans, though, were doing well enough that there would be no Democrat running. And so if they were able to eliminate one, the other Democrat now will probably get all the votes and be up in that top two. So it was something like that.
Amy
Yeah. I mean, I believe that stuff like that can happen, for sure. It just was like, well, good. Whatever it took to get him, he's clearly abusing his power on many women over a decade.
Bobby
Oh, yeah.
Amy
Doing very inappropriate things, allegedly. And
Bobby
he's also one with the Chinese spy. Remember that? He's what you talked about, that the Chinese spy.
Amy
I don't remember that.
Bobby
It was where Pambani got fired because she tipped him off.
Amy
Yes, yes, yes. Yeah. Same guy. Same guy. That's so crazy.
Bobby
Crazy, huh?
Eddie
Huh?
Amy
I wasn't putting two and two together on that one.
Inner Balance Advertiser
Wow.
Amy
I did see a clip of him back from 2019 talking about some other politician that was in a similar situation. And he's being interviewed and he's saying, you know, if it was just one person saying this about him, but there are multiple people saying this, so where there's smoke, there's fire. And it's kind of funny because now that's, like, coming back on him. Those exact words. It's like, if this was just one woman saying this about him, then okay, fine. But there right now, there are four.
Bobby
You know how I feel about politicians in general.
Amy
Yeah. Feel bad for his family.
Bobby
Me, too. Let's. Tell me something good. Oh, yeah, my bad.
Amy
I forgot.
Bobby
We were just telling you. We totally get.
Amy
Tell me something good that he. It forced him to drop out of a race and not end up with even more power. Because imagine if he had won governor and then. You don't know.
Eddie
So that's the. Tell me something good.
Amy
Yep. See, we got there. We got there.
Bobby
I think we could have gotten there. I think we can get there on anything, you know, let's see. I was looking to see if it had any.
Eddie
You need to see Morgan's zoom, dude. It is crazy. Like, she was talking about it, and I was like, oh, how close could it be?
Morgan
You.
Eddie
I just. Amy. I saw Amy's eyeball from here.
Amy
Oh, gosh.
Eddie
Like, I can zoom in that much. So maybe this whole, you know, Rabel
Bobby
thing, it was just an iPhone, Somebody up on a hill. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was.
Commercial Announcer
Tell me something good.
Bobby
It's time for the good news with Bobby. Tell me something good. How old were you when you learned how to ride a bike?
Amy
Oh, gosh, I don't really know. To be five. Is that.
Bobby
So you learned at a normal session, I'm guessing. So there was a team bonding session. Fort Scott Community College in Kansas. It's, you know, obviously college, freshman player, never learned how to ride a bike. Oh, well, it's okay. I mean, he's gonna live.
Amy
I know.
Eddie
It's just a bike, Angie.
Bobby
Yeah. Not sick.
Eddie
It's not like.
Amy
I know.
Bobby
But he never learned how to ride a bike. And his team was like, you know how to ride a bike? And so they taught him how to ride a bike. Wow. And so the coach, Matt Glover guy, and I was like, okay, here's how to ride a bike. And so they didn't tease him about it. And this is video, the moment where he rides his bike and his teammate again. These are 18, 19, 20 year olds.
Eddie
I love this.
Bobby
And they're celebrating him. Go ahead.
Amy
That's awesome.
Eddie
I love that.
Bobby
I just pictured this kid, teenager, like, you know, the handlebars are all shaky the first time, and he's all shaking with it, but they're rooting them on. I love that story. That's from USA Today. That is what it's all about.
Commercial Announcer
That was. Tell me something good.
Bobby
It's time for the good news with producer Eddie. Tell me something good.
Eddie
A father and son went fishing in Wisconsin on a river, but it was so cold. The water was 35 degrees. It's freezing. When the boat kind of tilts and the dad goes overboard, falls in the river, and the son has a lifeguard life jacket, an extra one. So it throws it to dad, but the current's kind of fighting. So while the son is driving the boat, he gets closer to the dad and says, dad, put this under you. So you're floating that way. You don't have hypothermia. Or whatever. So he does that. The dad puts the life jacket under him and he grabs the dad by the life jacket and hauls the boat back to the, back to shore. The emergency crews are there. They're like, oh, man. If it wasn't for that life jacket, the hypothermia definitely would have set in and it would have been really bad.
Bobby
Dang to drag your dad on a boat too, and not run him over.
Eddie
Yeah, because as soon as the dad went in, he was motionless because the water was so cold.
Bobby
We had a dam where we grew up, big dam, they release water and the water would be like 48 degrees, which is cold. Your body turns red and we would just go and jump in it like as soon as it was cold. See how long you could stay underwater.
Eddie
Like polar plunge.
Bobby
We were cold plunging before cold plunging was even cool, right?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
But you would get down sometimes and your body would lock up.
Eddie
And that's what happened here.
Bobby
Like his worst. That was way worse.
Eddie
They couldn't get. He couldn't get him back in the boat.
Bobby
35 degree water. Yeah. That's crazy. Good for the quick thinking and good for not running over your dad with the boat if you're dragging him in.
Eddie
That's true too.
Bobby
That's a good story. Good job, kid. Also, wear your life jacket. That's what I'm gonna say from this. Yes, Wear your life jacket. If you're in a boat where the water's like 35, probably a flat bottom, I don't know what they're in. Put the life jacket on.
Eddie
And it's funny because, like, people think like, oh, I'm a great swimmer and that's, that's good and all, but if you get knocked out and you don't have a life jacket, it's over.
Bobby
Especially in 35 degree waters. Yes. Good story. Glad everybody's good. That's what it's all about. That was.
Commercial Announcer
Tell me something good.
