Well, this kind of has to do with you. Well, mostly your baby, but I got her a little swimsuit, and I had ordered the wrong size at first because I can't believe it's already been three months. Ish, ish, ish, ish. Crazy, because I ordered her zero to

three months already grown out of that stuff.

I know.

And she's not quite three months old yet, but already grown out of it.

When it arrived, I was like, wait, this doesn't look like it's gonna fit her. So I got the

Three to six month in. Yeah. And I'm excited because now I get to give her a swimsuit.

summertime, let me tell you. But this one is kind. It's like a tiny piece of material. It's a one piece. Don't worry.

I didn't get your baby a two piece.

Well, some dads. Some dads don't want their.

I'm not really worried about. Objectified at three months.

[Amy]

I know. That was kind of weird. I'm sorry. It's so cute, though. And it's got little ruffles and flowers. I don't know. I don't really get excited. I've never been excited about buying baby clothes. I guess maybe when my niece was little, because she was a little girl. And then I never got to have babies. Like when I got my daughter, she was 11. So maybe it's just that.

[Bobby]

And I bought her a swimsuit.

[Eddie]

Oh, did you?

[Bobby]

She was 11. Yeah.

[Eddie]

Shopping for little baby clothes. I don't know. It's something exciting when it comes in the mail. It's just so cute.

[Bobby]

It's crazy how those clothes Last for just a blink of an eye and you're out of them and on to the next.

[Eddie]

So dumb.

[Bobby]

We're dropping off stuff, we're donating all the stuff constantly. But she's also growing fast. And I think babies grow at all different levels. But right now she's up in the 90 percentiles of everything. I don't think she'll stay there. I think things will.

[Eddie]

Unless she's like Wimby baby, like seven foot tall.

[Bobby]

Yeah. But yeah, she's just long and large to be almost three months old.

[Amy]

Yeah. And then Kat, my podcast coach, she's pregnant, she's due later this year, and I'm already looking for baby stuff for her little girl. And I'm like, what? This is so fun. Baby shopping.

[Bobby]

Josie had her baby. Dr. Josie.

[Amy]

Oh, so cute.

[Bobby]

She finally posted on Instagram. But we went over to their house to see them and their baby and their baby was just a couple weeks old. And like, that was just, you know, 10 weeks ago for us. Man, it felt like a century at the same time. It's like we remember when our baby was this small, but it feels like forever. It also feels like yesterday, but it's been kind of a blur. I bet as soon as I finish work before I go to other work in the afternoon, I don't have a job at a store or anything. It's podcast stuff. I don't have another second job.

[Eddie]

Right, right. McDonald's.

[Bobby]

Like, I'll try to go home for a bit and as soon as I get home, it's to the baby. I try to give my wife a break, go to work as soon as I come back to the baby. And man, when it's time to go to bed, everybody's just tired. We're just like, oh, what a day, you guys. I'll tell you about it later.

[Eddie]

Yeah, please tell us more.

[Bobby]

I'll tell you about it at some other point.

[Eddie]

You'll get it because we have no idea.

[Bobby]

Well, everybody has that, you know, first time parenting.

[Eddie]

Oh, yeah.

[Amy]

Like, yeah, they remember what it was like, I'm sure.

[Bobby]

Nah, not like I have it, boys.

[Eddie]

No, nothing.

Like, the way what I'm doing is like nobody else has ever done. Okay, Eddie.

[Eddie]

Yeah, so it's a little scary. I got a call yesterday during the show.

[Bobby]

We heard a weird call yesterday during the show.

[Eddie]

My mom fell.

[Amy]

Oh, no.

[Eddie]

And so it was my sister telling me that my mom had fallen and that they're on their way to the hospital, and I'm like, oh, my gosh. So I start worrying. But after everything, I talked to my sister. It was just precautionary, since my sister works in the trauma department at the hospital, so, like, she's a trauma nurse, so she always thinks the worst. And so, like, when some. When an old person falls and hits their head, she's like, all right, this is trouble. Could be brain bleeding. And we got to get to the hospital, but luckily everything was okay. She. There was. She had just, like. She hit the corner of, like, the. The cabinet or whatever on her head, but it was just a little bump.

[Bobby]

How'd she fall?

[Eddie]

She kind of just slipped. She was trying to sit down on a chair and miss the chair and slipped like, mom, come on. Told my mom I'm gonna buy her a Dallas Cowboys helmet to wear all day. All day, every day.

[Bobby]

Yeah, we wondered what was up.

[Eddie]

Just scary, you know, like. Cause she lives in Texas. We live here, and so it's kind of like when I get a call like that. Usually when I get a call during the show, it's not good, so. Or it's just urgent, so I freaked out. But all good news. Everything's okay. She went to the hospital, got all the checks and everything. Nothing. Nothing bad happened.

[Bobby]

Any stitches?

[Eddie]

No, just a bump. Just a bump. So that's the good news. My mom's okay? Yeah.

[Amy]

Yeah.

[Bobby]

Well, we didn't know going into it there could have been bad news now.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Amy]

Well, that's good that your sister is there to help and has her experience so that she can be proactive about. Because I don't know that. I think if there wasn't a cut or a gash, like, I wouldn't think internal had trauma, bleeding, older person.

[Eddie]

Yeah. I mean, my sister, too. Like, she works at a hospital, so when she goes. When she takes my mom to the hospital, it's taking her to her own work, so she gets right in. It's like, my mom's here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. So that's kind of cool, too.

[Amy]

That helps.

[Bobby]

Do you see that baby? That they did botox inside the mom to the baby to save its life?

[Amy]

No. That's fascinating.

[Bobby]

Because its organs were growing outside of its body. I'll read you the real story, but you talk about hospitals. Reminded me of this one here. A Texas baby was diagnosed before birth with a rare condition that caused her intestines to develop outside of her body through an opening in her abdominal wall. Doctors at Texas children's Hospital performed a rare prenatal procedure Using Botox injections to relax the abdominal wall, helping to protect her developing organs and allowing the pregnancy to continue for an additional nine weeks. After being delivered by C section and and undergoing surgery, the baby spent 81 days in the NICU and is now nearing 10 months old and doing well. And as a normal baby.

Because that's what Botox does. Relaxes muscles.

That's from people. Well, I've had it in my jaws.

I can tell. You look good.

Thank you. And then my. The forehead ones hurt. Not the forehead. What's this? Temple. Temple. Yeah. Those hurt.

[Eddie]

How far. How far does the needle go in?

[Amy]

I'm not very far.

[Bobby]

My dentist did it.

[Amy]

It's teeny tiny.

[Bobby]

Yeah, because I was. My teeth were breaking.

[Eddie]

Oh, because your jaw was so strong.

[Bobby]

No. I mean, no.

[Amy]

Yes. I think the more you grind, the stronger that masseter muscle gets. So if you relax it, then it's not working out anymore.

[Bobby]

I was going in probably too much for broken teeth over about a year period.

[Eddie]

Dang.

[Bobby]

And it was, hey, you should do Botox. And I was like, well, I don't mind if I do. No, no, no, no, no. And so he did it here. And these are the masseters. Right. That wouldn't hurt that bad, but, man, in my temples, that crap hurts. And so that's my.

[Eddie]

Do you feel like when you chew, you're not as strong?

[Bobby]

No, it felt no different. The only thing that felt different was I didn't break any more teeth.

[Eddie]

That's good.

[Bobby]

If I'd have gone back home and, uh, it all don't work.

[Eddie]

Just always open. Your mouth's always open?

[Amy]

Yeah, that'd be weird.

[Bobby]

Oh, that would have sucked. But. But I haven't. I did it like, a year. Should I go back and get it done again?

[Amy]

It dissolves. Yeah.

[Eddie]

How long does that last, Amy?

[Amy]

I don't know. Well, depend. I mean, you use your mouth a lot, so I think.

[Bobby]

Oh, you work through it.

[Amy]

Yes. So the more you use it, the more it goes through. So some people, the Botox glass, six months. Other people, it might be four.

[Bobby]

Mine probably wore off in, like, a week then.

[Amy]

Right.

[Bobby]

I wear a mouth guard, obviously, when I sleep, but if I'm home, if it's past 6pm after dinner, my mouth guard goes in because I just start. I probably clench all the time. But after six, I've already done all the show stuff, all the podcast stuff, all my Recording. I have a studio at the house, all my recording. So if there's no food involved and I brush my teeth after dinner, my mouth guard goes in, and I just keep it in.

[Eddie]

Is it like a football mouth guard? Like, can you talk with it with it on?

[Bobby]

Yeah, but it's all like this a little bit. This is a little bit. It's not as big as a football, a mouth mouthpiece, but it definitely fits the teeth. I ate through one completely and had to retire that one last week.

[Eddie]

Dang.

[Bobby]

Because I. I just grind so hard, and it's really hard plastic, and it just broken, too, guys. Impressed?

[Amy]

Yeah.

[Eddie]

Yeah, man.

[Amy]

I need.

[Bobby]

I may not have the best grip strength, but I bet you if we did one of those with our jaw pressure, I bet you I get that. What?

[Amy]

Oh, it's just. I'm wearing a broken one right now, so I need to go back. I think I have an appointment.

[Eddie]

You're wearing one right now?

[Amy]

No, I mean, at night. My current one is. It's like a third of it missing. But I just.

They're expensive. I bought. It's like the. It's like, you know, a dishwasher. Like, stuff you don't want to spend money on as an adult. You're like, I don't want to go get a new mouth guard. The annoying part for me was having to get a fit because obviously I was moving my teeth around by clenching so hard, so the old one wouldn't have fit because it fits specifically to your teeth. And so you have to go in and they do that thing that's like gum. They fill your mouth up with that. Oh, yeah. It molds it and.

Sorry.

[Bobby]

Fills it up, and then it's like, hey, we'll call you in a week and a half when you. It comes back. But you never had a mouth guard.

[Eddie]

Nope. Never.

[Bobby]

In high school, playing football, we used to boil our mouthpiece and then fit it to our mouth.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Amy]

Which they make those for mouth guards at night.

[Bobby]

They do, yeah.

[Amy]

If you go to Walgreens or cvs, you can buy a little kit and just make your own at home. But I've done that in a pinch before, like when I was in between guards, and I didn't want to buy the one from the dentist. And they don't. I don't know. It was More annoying than anything. Like it was a lot bigger. I guess the other one, what was so nice is I got spoiled by being used to the one that was molded specifically for me. But I bet if I had started out with the mold, your own one, that's what all I would know. And I could do it.

[Bobby]

I used to use a branch.

[Amy]

A branch?

[Bobby]

I just go outside, get a tree branch and put it in there.

[Eddie]

Old school.

[Morgan]

I had a mouth guard and it made my entire mouth swell up. I couldn't wear it ill fitted.

[Amy]

You were allergic?

[Morgan]

No, I was allergic to it. I was allergic to whatever latex was. My whole, like, I looked like I had eaten a bee. My mouth was all swollen.

[Amy]

Oh, that's crazy.

[Bobby]

Are you allergic to latex? Generally speaking, I don't.

[Morgan]

It's weird. Like, people wear latex gloves, like at the doctor's office and stuff. And it doesn't bother me, but something about certain kinds, if it's in certain products, it will. My body will have. Like, I'll break out in rashes from it.

[Amy]

Well, and gloves being your mouth at a doctor's appointment versus something being in your mouth for eight hours is different too.

[Bobby]

Put a doctor's glove in your mouth for eight hours tonight. Let us know and come back and tell us.

Yeah. Morgan comes in puppy face. I saw a picture of bear girls who does survival show. He got stung by a bee and his face blew up. He's like, I didn't know I was stung by a beat. I didn't know I was allergic. And his face looked like Will Smith.

Wow.

[Bobby]

Like, it didn't even look like him. His face was so swollen. Are you allergic to anything else?

[Morgan]

Yeah, I'm allergic to sulfur, which is in a lot of random foods and wine.

[Amy]

Is that in water? Do we have sulfur and water, or was that only in Texas?

[Eddie]

Yeah, like, well, water has sulfur at.

[Amy]

Well, for sure. In College Station. Like at A and M. All of our water, when you brush your teeth, take a shower, anything, you turn on the water and it smelled like rotten eggs. And that just was what it was because that's how the water was in that part of Texas. So it's. Would you be able to take a shower in College Station?

[Bobby]

Okay, so we're gonna do these two things.

[Eddie]

We're gonna do that.

[Bobby]

We're gonna put a glove in your mouth all night.

[Morgan]

Make sure we have an EpiPen. Yeah, I like, blow up if I. And if I drink, like wine that has sulfur in it, I have insane Migraines. And it's like weird reactions when the

[Bobby]

waiter comes to the table and says, any allergies? Do you say sulfur?

[Morgan]

No, it's not in most things. It's.

[Amy]

It.

[Morgan]

It's in like sun dried.

[Eddie]

Okay, so it isn't things.

[Morgan]

It's. Yeah, it's an interesting things, but like in small quantities it doesn't seem to bother me. It's always stuff in products. Like I found out my sulfur allergy when I was getting like acne products when I was in high school and my whole body, like I had. It looked like I got chickenpox. Like the, the rash.

[Amy]

Wow.

[Morgan]

Yeah.

[Bobby]

What else? Anything? Sulfur, possibly latex.

[Eddie]

Is a fart. Sulfur?

[Bobby]

Well, it smells like sulfur. I think that's why people say that. Yeah. I mean, there could be some traces if you had enough wine like Morgan's talking about. But I, I think when people say that, I think it's because of the smell.

[Eddie]

Got it.

[Bobby]

But that's a good scientific question there.

[Eddie]

I was just wondering.

[Bobby]

Sulfur is responsible for the smell and

[Eddie]

farts, so it's in there.

[Bobby]

Nope.

Like grass, molds, stuff like that?

[Amy]

Well, Art. What mold?

[Bobby]

Yeah, I think.

[Amy]

Are we all allergic to mole? Is that like a thing you're allergic to or. Oh, actually, no, you're right. Some people can be in a mold infested house and they won't. Someone might instantly walk in and have an immediate reaction. Whereas I think I could be in a mold house and I might not see symptoms for Months and months.

[Bobby]

Yeah. Not everybody's allergic to mold.

[Amy]

Okay.

[Bobby]

But mold can affect everybody poorly if there's too much of it.

[Amy]

Okay.

[Bobby]

Yeah.

[Eddie]

I did that test or whatever. You know the one where you do on your. Your back.

[Bobby]

Me too.

[Eddie]

That was terrible.

[Bobby]

Terrible for me too. I was as large, like 41 things. The only thing I cared about was dairy, though.

[Eddie]

That's the most important one.

[Bobby]

My back, it's so bad when they did that. You.

[Eddie]

Yeah, and you can't want to scratch it so bad, but you can't touch it.

[Bobby]

You can't even get to that point.

[Eddie]

That's why they put it on your back.

[Morgan]

So are some of them, like, more. You're more allergy prone to them? Like when that test happens, is it like certain or like you're more sensitive to all?

[Bobby]

So for me, they came and said, lay on your stomach, and they basically dig little bitty holes, let's say 20 of them on your back. And they put traces of mold, pollen, any sort of element that would make that you could possibly be allergic to. They put in all those holes and then they come back in 12 minutes and look to see if they're red, how red they are. And that shows you how allergic you are to it. That's probably a very rudimentary definition, but that's how I was told.

[Morgan]

So was your dairy one like, super?

[Bobby]

They didn't put milk in my bag. My dairy one was only realized after I'd had, like, colonoscopies.

[Eddie]

Yeah, they put a slice of cheese on your back. That's not good.

[Lunchbox]

A whole velvet?

[Bobby]

No, no, they just did mostly natural elements.

[Morgan]

Okay, so like stuff like your allergies normally.

[Eddie]

Yeah, dust, molds.

[Morgan]

Oh, that was also how you found out the dogs like, you were allergic to.

[Bobby]

And I wouldn't get allergy shots for a year and a half. I should have did three years, I think, was what it was. But I just. Once you miss one or two, you go back like two levels and you start over. And it was me and a bunch of 12 year olds every day. And then I was gone. So I did it for a long time and then I stopped. But I do think even doing it that amount helped me tremendously. They don't act like it did. Like, now you need to finish. But I'm telling you, I don't want to jinx myself. I feel 70% better whenever it's bad allergy season. But I went for a long time, so. Okay, Eddie, glad to hear that about your mom.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Bobby]

And I've been friends with her for over 20 years, so I was like, oh, shoot. But I would. I would not. I would just not go to that Morgan's wedding.

Now you're saying Cabo. I would have gone to the party.

Yeah, I thought you were just saying it's like, in a restaurant downtown.

I know how many times Morgan will be married, right?

Yeah, I was trying to think of something, but today we get a new dishwasher. Our dishwasher went out, like, a week and a half ago, and so they are finally delivering the new dishwasher today.

Will they go in the house? Or will it sit on the porch for a while? No, no.

I paid for the insulation and the hallway of the old one. Extra 60 bucks.

Why don't you pay? I guess you're not going to install the.

How are they going to get it to the front door with the workout thing in front?

[Lunchbox]

That's a great question. Didn't think about that till right now.

Well, maybe they come through the back door.

They could come through the back door, pull up in the alley and walk through the gate.

Is there any excitement about the new dishwasher?

[Lunchbox]

I mean, not really.

Do you ever do the dishes?

I mean, every once in a while, throw some dishes in there.

[Eddie]

Is it a good one?

Who picked it out?

Oh, my wife.

Who paid for it?

Oh, we split it.

But what percentage? Because things aren't even 75.

You went 75?

Why?

Because I make more. So I'm the breadwinner.

If she knows that it's 75. 25. But she doesn't know how much money he makes, she can quickly do the math of, well, if I'm paying 25 of this and I make this and he's paying 75 of this and he makes that, therefore what he must make overall is this.

[Lunchbox]

I mean, maybe. I have no idea if she could do all that math.

[Bobby]

What's all that? I'm just saying, if she ever.

[Amy]

But also, what's interesting to factor in is Lunchbox has three kids.

[Lunchbox]

Three kids. It's a lot of dishes.

The kids use the dishwasher.

[Eddie]

Do they pay for their own share of the dishwasher?

[Bobby]

Hey, they got a piggy bank and if they want to go to Disney, they're going to pay for that. No, no, no.

That's right. My one kid found 50 cents yesterday at the store and he put it right in the piggy bank. He was pretty excited. That's more towards Disney.

[Amy]

I just don't know that she should be paying 25% of the dishwasher.

[Bobby]

His son's going to Disney at 32 years old at this rate.

[Eddie]

If he's lucky.

[Bobby]

At this rate. Yeah. Yesterday, nice day. Weather wise. We've had a bunch of rain, so we were able to go outside with the baby. And we have our hope pretty soon

you're going to be able to put that baby in a swimsuit.

[Bobby]

Yep, sure are.

[Eddie]

Where are you gonna get that swimsuit?

[Bobby]

I don't know. We keep looking. We keep looking. Just for one to show up.

[Amy]

Guess what? I found one.

[Bobby]

It was really the first day we've been able to go outside. My wife likes to go outside for some reason and just be outside, especially with the baby. I don't. That's not my thing. But we sat out there for, like, half an hour. The weird thing is, is when the baby goes to sleep, it's still daytime. Maybe it's like 11 hours now, and it's still daylight at 6, 7:15, 7:30. That's wild. So luckily we have blackout blackout curtains and shades, but it's just a nice day. I didn't get home until late in the afternoon, so I was trying to think, like, what was good. I had a really good, fun time with Russell Dickerson, but that was just a work thing.

[Eddie]

That was fun, though.

[Bobby]

Yeah, he's. He's a joy to be around.

[Eddie]

He's so much fun.

[Bobby]

Yeah, Russell Dickerson's awesome to be around. So, yeah, that's what's up. Very little for me, but it was good. I think my wife really enjoyed it. We both just sat outside with the baby for half an hour with the weather being nice. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. It's time for the good news with Amy. Kim Rolfe has been teaching second grade for 35 years, and she's finally hanging up her hat. She's retiring from Westwood Elementary School, but she didn't want to just leave. She decided to make a personalized quilt for each of her students on her final year of teaching. And she went into detail with each kid, making the quilt specifically for them. And she had a handwritten note to accompany each quilt.

Well, two things there. One, she obviously loves her kids. And two, she's obviously old.

Yeah. She said she's excited to begin a new chapter in her life.

Well, to your point, Bobby, the students have made leaving the classroom more difficult than she anticipated. So, yeah, she loves her students.

How old does she look?

Well, she's been teaching 35 years, so let's say she got out of college at 22.

Yeah, just give her an extra. I mean, she doesn't look. She doesn't know.
