Bobby
It's that and then there's everything else.
Joe
Dude, his whole life has sounded like the first drop of a roller coaster.
Unidentified Female Guest
I mean, I can't even tell you, Paul, how crazy it was. It was insane.

Sheryl Swoopes
Hey, everybody. I'm Tareka Fosta Brasby. What's up, y'?
Unidentified Male Guest
All?
Sheryl Swoopes
I'm your girl, Sheryl Swoops. When you tune in to a new episode of our podcast, Levels to this, you're definitely gonna get some spicy WNBA analysis. But we're more than just hoops, and the real conversation is what we actually bring. It's been really, really cool seeing kind of these women just really step into their power off the court and understand that they are basketball, right? And they're not asking for permission. Listen to Levels to this with Sheryl Swoopes and Tareka Foster brasby on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Narrator (Missing Sister Podcast)
When teenager Joy Morgan discovered the religious group Israel United in Christ, she believed she'd found the truth. Many believe she found a cult. Then she disappeared. The new podcast, the Missing Sister, explores her, the family she left, and the religious group she found.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
You know when you get that feeling like you just, I don't want to be here. I want to get out. Like, I want to go hang out.

Essie Cupp
When Democrats are messing up, I say it. When Republicans are messing up, I say it. I'm Essie Cupp, a journalist and political commentator, and on my podcast, off the Cup, I help you make sense of the often nonsensical news. I do this on cable news, too, but on my podcast, I can really let loose and be my honest, unfiltered self. I just want to talk about something that happened this week because it's so bonkers, so stupid, such incredibly bad politics. We have to talk about it. Come for the hot takes. Stay for the sanity. Listen to off the cup on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Bobby
All right, let's do A round of Tell me something sucked today. I bought a box of Luna Bars. And they're good. I like them. There's no dairy in them. How are they Stale?
Amy
Oh, we're. We're. Well, did you check the date on them?
Bobby
Sound like you're revving a ninja and didn't have gas in it.
Joe
Okay.
Amy
Because I was thinking, like, well, is every single bar in the box stale or just one?
Bobby
At least two.
Amy
Because I'm like, sometimes they can be a tiny bit open.
Bobby
Now I have explosive diarrhea. Is that at all connected?
Joe
Oh, goodness.
Unidentified Male Guest
Oh, no,
Amy
I don't think so.
Bobby
Okay.
Amy
No, I don't think so. But that. Yeah, the. The. You get the lemon ones, right? Those are good. I've been eating those since, I don't know, gosh, early 2000s.
Bobby
I've never had a stale one. I don't know, maybe it's just a numbers game, but. Yeah, I think that's one of the only kinds that don't have dairy. There's another kind that's red. It kind of has a hazelnut chocolate thing. It's not as good, but I have that sometimes. But I like the lemon ones. But.
Amy
Yeah, I don't know why, but maybe if you send them an email, they might.
Bobby
I don't care that much. You know what?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Socials, there's a number in the back you can call.
Bobby
I'm not gonna at them on Twitter. I'm not.
Amy
Maybe this is just my age. Like, I don't know if this just happens at mid-40s, but I get so excited about, like, a good deal like that. Like, even getting a free box or coupon for something. Or when I guess a right code, like, if I'm checking out somewhere, I always type in, like, free ship or welcome 10. And whenever I get it, I get so excited.
Unidentified Male Guest
You do.
Bobby
Welcome 90. What if you hit that one? That's 90%.
Amy
I know they're not. That's not going to be a code.
Bobby
It ain't until you try it.
Amy
Okay. But I feel like anything after 20, you're wasting your time.
Bobby
So that really wasn't my. Tell me something suck. But I was thinking about that this morning.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
That's a bonus.
Bobby
I hit. It's a bonus suck at two stales in a row. But also, I compliments to that company because they're good and they're. I mean, I'm not going to say they make you healthier, but for me, it's a nice option to have as a bar. Might tell me something suck. So we had Scheduled an interview with Jeffrey Dean Morgan for the Bobby cast. Are you familiar with who that is?
Amy
Not off the top of my head.
Bobby
I don't think he would be really in. In your algorithm or the shows that you watch. Take a look at them. Unless you watch different shows with him that I don't know.
Amy
Well. Walking Dead.
Bobby
Okay. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. So he was Negan and Walking Dead.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
He's an actor.
Amy
Yeah, he had the stick, and then
Bobby
he was in the Boys, which was great. Was he in Grey's Anatomy or something like that? For a long time. Was he ever doing shows that I didn't watch? Because he's been famous for a while. Regardless, we had him. He wasn't Grey's Anatomy. How about that? He is best known for playing Negan in the Walking Dead, and.
Amy
Oh, yeah, he was. Denny.
Bobby
Yeah, I didn't watch it, but I'm reading it now.
Amy
Yeah, he had a heart issue.
Bobby
Oh.
Amy
His storyline with Katherine Hagel in Grey's Anatomy was really sad.
Bobby
So he was gonna come on. They said, we're like 90% Michael doing a tour, and then he wasn't able to come on. So that's kind of a bummer because Mike and I were both looking forward to that one. But when one door closes, another window is cracked because 15 minutes later, we got a call going, hey, do you want Pat Monahan to come into studio and do an interview?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
That's cool.
Bobby
Amy. Who's Pat Monahan?
Amy
I have to look it up.
Bobby
Go for it.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
You definitely know him.
Amy
Pat Monahan. He's a singer. Oh, Pat Monahan.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Four.
Bobby
Four.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Singer. Four.
Amy
Oh, this is singer. Oh, train.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah.
Amy
Drops of Jupiter.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah, there we go.
Bobby
A ton. Meet Virginia. Drops of Jupiter.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Oh, my gosh. So much. What's the. What's the one?
Unidentified Female Guest 2
Hey, Soul sister.
Bobby
The one where they did this. That part of the song. That was.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Lots of jams.
Zach
Lots.
Mangesha
Yes.
Bobby
So many songs. So I think they're doing a show in town which would be fun to even go to, but they had dropped jobs of Jupiter.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
They have
Bobby
Calling All Angels. That's why.
Joe
Hey.
Bobby
Calling All Angel. Oh, it's a jam.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
So good.
Unidentified Female Guest 2
Yep.
Bobby
Oh, that one said, play that song.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
That's the one.
Bobby
The song that they should. All Night Long jam. So right after that, they said, you want Pat Monahan to come? He wants to come by and do an interview in studio at the Bobby cast. And I was like, all right, we're in. I got lose one. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, get one Pat Monahan.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
So is that happening?
Zach
Yeah.
Perry Wilson
Next.
Joe
Next.
Bobby
That's not recording it next week.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
That's not a window cracked. That's a. The garage door wide open.
Bobby
Well, he hasn't shown up yet, though.
Zach
Okay.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
It's not done.
Bobby
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But, yeah, Train is playing in town. Hey, Friday, July 31st.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Can we go to that?
Bobby
You will not be in town.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Thanks for reminding me. Yeah.
Bobby
What?
Amy
Were we going somewhere?
Bobby
Yes, I told you yesterday about it.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah, I'm going somewhere.
Amy
Oh, yeah, that is right. I forgot. It's just Eddie and. Yeah, we talked about that. Yeah.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah.
Amy
So I told Eddie.
Mangesha
You told me?
Perry Wilson
Yeah.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
He was like, it's not a problem.
Amy
I know.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah.
Amy
But I had to just say that I knew.
Bobby
Regardless. Tell me something sucked. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, tell me something cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that's mine. Amy, what do you have?
Amy
Guys, normally it's hard for me to come up with tell me something good every day, but right now, I'm really struggling to figure out something that sucks.
Bobby
Nice.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
That's a good thing.
Bobby
Nice. That's good. So you have nothing that sucks? If so, I. It'd be an excellent thing to have to punt on.
Amy
I'm really.
Bobby
Something good. You can throw in something good if you had something good.
Amy
I mean. Yeah, I have good things.
Bobby
Go ahead, give us something good.
Amy
I'm really excited for my son this morning because he's at his high school orientation.
Bobby
Fun.
Zach
Wow.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
First day of high school.
Mangesha
That's great.
Amy
Well, school doesn't start for a few more weeks, but it's orientation. And he got. There's two different days with two different groups. And by coincidence, thankfully, I signed him up for the one where I'm on a group text with some of the other moms, and the majority of his friends also are in the same group. Thank goodness. Because then one mom was like, shoot. And she's, like, the only one that did tomorrow's orientation. She was like, oh, my gosh, my kid's gonna be like, you know, they're the freshman, like, lost. Like, he's not gonna have his buddies. And so I'm. I'm just thankful that I signed Stevenson up, coincidentally, for the right group to be with all his friends, even though I had no idea.
Bobby
What's up with his hair?
Amy
Well, he really does not want to cut it, and I don't know why, because he gets frustrated that it gets itchy, and he can't clean it very well, and he's running outside in the heat so much, and I think that he's sweating so much, and then he's not the type of hair he has, it's really hard to get all in there. And it's painful for him sometimes to. Because his curls get so tight. It's painful. And I'm like, there's a solution to this problem. We cut your hair.
Bobby
Does he have a good black barber?
Amy
Yes. Cuts and blessings, that's where we go.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
That's cool.
Amy
And he fights me on it every time, trimming it back. And I think that that's the solution to the problem. And he told me the reason why he doesn't want to go shorter is he's like, people will make fun of me for having short hair. Yes. There must have been a haircut at some point in the last couple of years that he. He was made fun of and he hasn't been able to let himself go back. And I'm like, we need to let go of what other people think. You need to take your own comfort and preference into mind. And who is making fun of you for your hair.
Bobby
Also, three years ago is a weird time because everybody gets made fun of for everything when you're 12.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
So it probably wasn't even really about a haircut. It's just every 12 year old gets made fun of for something.
Narrator (Missing Sister Podcast)
Yeah.
Amy
And it's just one of those things, I guess. He can't let it go. He's like, trust Mom. Trust. People are going to make fun of me.
Bobby
Let him grow his hair out. Eventually it's going to get to the point where he can't take it anymore.
Amy
But yeah, no, we're going to cut it. I was hoping you would be like,
Bobby
no, I don't think you make him cut his hair.
Amy
What?
Bobby
He's like, nearing adult.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
My parents made me cut my hair and I hated it. Like, I hated it.
Bobby
You should have hair autonomy.
Amy
He also wants to cut his hair.
Bobby
Okay, well, let him make that decision on when and how.
Amy
But I thought you would be like, hey, buddy. Like, I could. You could record something like, hey, dude. Like, don't. If kids make fun of you, like, it's okay.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
You feel like you're like kind of his dad sometimes.
Unidentified Male Guest
Like, Amy's trying to make you the dad.
Amy
Like, hey, you were made fun of a lot as a kid.
Unidentified Male Guest
Okay.
Bobby
Oh, that's why. Got it. Got it. I relate. Got it.
Amy
Yes.
Bobby
I think that if you're, I don't know, 14 and a half up, you get hair autonomy.
Amy
Not total. Because he can't, like, get up, like,
Bobby
fairy can't diet pink and go mohawk.
Amy
The school doesn't allow certain Things. Because it can be distracting.
Unidentified Male Guest
Well, that's different.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah.
Bobby
Let him. Let him do his hair his own way. It'll bother him so much, he'll end up wanting to cut it. And then he won't be resentful at you for making him cut his hair.
Amy
Well, definitely. I don't want him to be resentful. Obviously, we've gone this many years. I mean, every time he's had a haircut, I've tried to go shorter. I just. I thought the whole. This is the first time he's really said, look, mama, I'm gonna get made fun of. And then I thought, oh, well, Bobby will have some good advice.
Bobby
Yeah. My advice is to you give him hairtonomy.
Amy
You actually are cool to him. I don't know why you wouldn't think that. And then you're not a parent. So Ben and I being the parents, sometimes we need, like, the uncle type figures to step in and, like, say the cool thing.
Bobby
Yeah, but I don't. This is not like, a cameo where you can tell me what to say. I would say you have hair autonomy. Don't let your mom convince you to cut your hair if you don't want
Unidentified Male Guest
to show them that.
Amy
You would say something about kids.
Zach
What do you mean?
Amy
You thought kids that make fun of
Sheryl Swoopes
you, like, they have.
Bobby
That's a whole security. That's a whole separate thing. But they were 12. Everybody makes fun of everybody at 12. It sucks. That's a terrible age.
Amy
Well, then I said, well, who? You give me their name.
Narrator (Missing Sister Podcast)
No.
Bobby
No. Gosh, no.
Unidentified Male Guest
Oh, boy.
Bobby
From three years ago. Amy's going to take care of business. I want to grab a couple calls. Let's go to Zach in Augusta, Georgia. Line one, Raymundo, please. Hey, Zach.
Zach
Hello?
Bobby
Hey, it's Bobby. What's going on, dude?
Zach
Hey, what's up, Bobby? Morning, studio. Morning. That's awesome. I can't believe that just happened.
Bobby
Well, what do you want to talk about?
Zach
Well, I was calling because my wife sent me a text message asking about dinner, and we just had the conversation about eating healthy, and she mentioned wanting to do field greens, like, out of the box. And I'm like, I'm pretty sure I've been listening to the show, and they say, don't do that.
Unidentified Male Guest
Well,
Bobby
what's the. What we've done at our house is we've pretty much said we're not going to eat any lettuce at all. I did last night go back to cucumber. I felt comfortable enough to go back to cucumber. And I feel okay. I don't know that I'm. I'm opening at least for the next couple weeks. Any bags of prepared salad. And you know what? It's probably safe. You're. You're also playing the odds. Even if there was diarrhea in a bag, what are the odds you get it? Not much. Yeah, even then, you're probably not gonna get that. But I don't think I would risk any sort of salad in a bag or box right now. And they did come out and say, I saw RFK say, no, we're all healthy, but I don't believe anything anybody says. So just generally speaking, I ain't believe in any politician whenever it comes to when there's money involved. So I would stick. Right now, for me and us, we're sticking our nose in a different direction than the salad. We're going vegetables. We're doing. I did tomatoes and I did cucumber last night.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah, and cucumber is good because it has a skin on it, you know, so they're saying stuff with, like, skin peels, things like that are all good.
Bobby
Well, the thing that I do, I take the full thing with the skin and I stick it all the way in my mouth.
Amy
Cucumber, you eat the skin, right?
Bobby
Yeah, but first I just. I, like, put it in my mouth and lick it all around it just to make sure, and then spit that out.
Amy
Because I think when they're saying skin, they mean like avocado because you don't
Unidentified Male Guest 2
eat the skin, but, like the cucumber. Just peel the skin.
Bobby
Oh, I would not. I would never do that.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
No, never.
Bobby
I lick it.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
And then what? And then you.
Bobby
And then I take it and cut it.
Amy
Okay, you know what?
Bobby
I have an experience with it first.
Zach
Right.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Right.
Mangesha
I'm Mangesha together, and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time, I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement. To try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about and what it really means to live forever for all of us, I learned about some rad science.
Unidentified Female Guest 2
I can make a brain for you. And then we can test what draw is the best for your brain as opposed to his brain.
Mangesha
Here are some hard truths.
Bobby
I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five year
Mangesha
acceleration and get myself into a world of trouble.
Bobby
I'd say probably start bone smashing.
Mangesha
That doesn't work.
Essie Cupp
To make it look more defined, they say it Works.
Amy
I don't know.
Mangesha
Listen to Skyline Drive, how to live Forever on the iHeartRadio app, or Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Gary Valenciano
We've all been there. We've had seasons that have shaken everything. The question is, what remains when the shaking stops? Hi, I'm Gary Valenciano, and on my podcast Unshaken with Gary Vee, I sit down with amazing personalities and we talk about the seasons that nearly broke them, the lows that carried them to their highs. Listen to Unshaken with Gary Vee on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Emily Oster
I'm Emily Oster. I'm an economist and data expert.
Perry Wilson
And I'm Perry Wilson.
Bobby
I'm a medical doctor.
Emily Oster
And this is our new podcast, Wellness
Perry Wilson
actually, because you're getting a staggering amount of health and wellness information nowadays, and
Emily Oster
some of it is awesome and some of it is, well, actually, bull. Fortunately, we're both people who know how to read studies, parse data, and can tell you what's worth trying out and what you can safely ignore.
Perry Wilson
Each episode, we tackle the health news of the week and then take a deeper dive into a misunderstood health and wellness topic, like what's the deal with peptides? What's the deal with GLP1s?
Emily Oster
What's the deal with creatine?
Perry Wilson
What's the deal with cupping?
Emily Oster
What's the deal with sleep?
Perry Wilson
So join us for a weekly dose of sanity. Might actually be just what the doctor
Emily Oster
or the economist ordered.
Perry Wilson
Listen to wellness, actually, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Paul Verze
Hey, guys, Paul Verze here, and I want to talk to you about Paul's best podcast, Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network, and iHeartRadio. I sit down each week with a special guest and we discuss. Discuss the absolute best of things. Pete Davidson.
Bobby
It's that and then there's everything else.
Paul Verze
He would just shout one line and it would murder.
Bobby
Marie.
Joe
Lunch.
Paul Verze
Let's talk about the best moments that we had on the road. I would love a cocktail.
Joe
Dude, Joe could get last row, middle seat on a Southwest Airlines flight. Joe, how was your flight? It was great. The guy on Penn State, we were on the field and the player thought Joe was his former coach, and he hugged him and hugged him, and Joe just went with it. The guy goes, what are you doing here, coach? And Joe just go.
Unidentified Female Guest
And you walk in and it is bananas. I mean, it's a feast for the eyes. And I was like, it's like, it's not my thing either, but we're here.
Paul Verze
When in Rome, top athletes, chefs, musicians, everybody listen to Paul's best podcast on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Amy
You know what I did the other day to get some greens? Since I haven't been eating lettuce, I got frozen broccoli from the grocery store, and I'm like, why haven't I been buying frozen broccoli forever? Like, I always get the fresh broccoli, and then I have to clean it, and then I get annoyed, and then it goes bad, and we never eat it. Frozen broccoli, it's already washed, cleaned, diced, cut.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah.
Amy
And it's frozen at. It's frozen at peak broccoli level. So all the nutrients.
Bobby
I didn't know about that. Peak, peak, peak broccoli level.
Joe
9.
Amy
Well, because the longer a vegetable is in your fridge, like, the. The peakness goes down. So of the nutrition. Nutrition in there and the nutrients, so. And Google how to do it, because there's a method to cooking frozen broccoli in the oven to make it just right. And I. I was like, I'm impressed. I might. I might never go back.
Bobby
I think the only reason that people don't do frozen is because there are certain areas of the Internet that tell you if it's frozen, it ends up losing a lot of its nutrition. There are, again, certain parts of the Internet that will tell you that a smoothie isn't really that good for you, because once the fruit is frozen, it loses, you know, 60 to 70% of its nutrition.
Amy
Wow. I thought that it was locking it in at peak freshness.
Bobby
Definitely, Definitely could be, but. And I'm not claiming to know or be an expert, but I have read those. I still like a smoothie, and I still do frozen vegetables, but there are certain people that say if it's frozen, that it's losing some of its nutritional value.
Amy
Golly, it's so exhausting what all these people have to say.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Oh, I know. Who do you listen to?
Amy
I.
Bobby
Nobody.
Amy
I don't know.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Just. Do you.
Amy
I saw the other day my own way. If you want to eat a sweet potato and it not spike your blood sugar or whatever, you need to bake it and then let it cool, Put it in the fridge, let it cool, cool, cool, cool. And then if you reheat it, it has a. It's the. The composition of it is different. Like, the chemistry changes, and it won't spike your blood sugar.
Bobby
You just cooked it froze it, cooked it.
Joe
Yeah.
Bobby
Who has that much time called the Pendulum potato?
Amy
Well, I found this Count account and all she does is talk about sweet potatoes and it must be working for her. And she was telling you the difference in how you eat your sweet potatoes. Potatoes, and that was one of the ones. If you have to watch your blood sugar.
Bobby
Zach, what I would say to you if you were my friend here sitting next to me, I would say I'd avoid any sort of bag salad for right now. Although I do think it's probably safe because again, just a numbers game, even full outbreak, you're probably still not going to get it. But I'd avoid any bag salad and I would substitute different vegetables for now.
Zach
Okay, awesome. Well, I grow my own cucumbers, so that'll be easy.
Bobby
Do you have the virus out in your garden? Have you checked it?
Zach
No, no, I think the cucumbers are good. I was more worried about the 50, 50 spinach lettuce kale mix.
Bobby
I'd punt. I'd punt on that for now. Two weeks hot back in.
Zach
All right, sounds good. I appreciate you.
Bobby
All right, buddy, hope you have a good day.
Zach
You too, man. Thanks.
Bobby
Alright, see you. Hey, let's go to Jim in Texas, who is over on line nine. Hey, Jim.
Zach
Hey, how are you?
Jim
How are you?
Bobby
What's up, buddy?
Jim
Good morning, studio.
Zach
Morning.
Jim
Hey, I have a little story about Garth Brooks. About 2006. I'm a semi truck driver in sunny Southern California and I took a road to Phoenix and Garth Brooks was trying out for the San Diego Padres, believe it or not, and he was playing third base and he hurt his shoulder throwing over the first. So they set him off to the side and I just happened to go over there and start talking to him. And him and I started. We were talking for about 15 minutes. I had two baseballs for my two sons and he signed them and that was the it for that day. And then the next week I had another load to Phoenix and I went over there and I got a picture from the radio station there in Phoenix. He was on the COVID and he was still there. So I, I dropped my trailer off to get it loaded and I took my truck over to the park and after the practice and everything, we all stood in line to get our pictures signed. And I was a young man at the time. My wife and I had two sons and I already got them signed. So I wanted to get this picture signed for my wife. And he only signed pictures for the young kids and the old people. So I never got My picture signed. So on the way home I signed at Garf Brooks and I gave it to my wife.
Bobby
That's funny.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
That is funny.
Bobby
And no one knows he did sign the balls for the kids. But Garth has a thing too where he doesn't want to sign anything that someone's going to take and flip and sell again. So he'll, he has to, he personalizes everything for that reason. Anytime he's ever, like he played the first time on our show and he gave me the guitar that he was playing and obviously he wrote my name on it. But then I would talk to people and go, yeah, he writes names on it so people don't flip it, like sign it. And, and mostly if like a 31 year old man's, hey Garth, we signed this like randomly. It's those guys who are searching for the signatures so they can then sell them on ebay or whatever.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
I've seen people on Tick Tock where they go up to celebrities on the street with like 50 pictures. Obviously they're selling those.
Bobby
Appreciate that, Jim. Thanks man. I hope you have a great rest of the day.
Jim
My son still have the baseballs and my wife still has the picture.
Bobby
Does she know?
Jim
She, she knows now.
Bobby
All right, have a great day, man. Thank you for calling.
Jim
Bye bye.
Bobby
Tell me something, suck or good Eddie? You can pick.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
I have a suck. So like I go to this grocery store that has a reward system and when you scan, when you buy groceries, you scan it and then it gives you gas points, right? Which I love because gas is so expensive, but it gives it to you by month. So like say what are we looking at? August? It gives you 30, 30 cents off of gas through August. And what happens with me is I never go when I'm really empty. So I can either get a 3 cent discount always or a one time 30 cent discount. You follow me?
Bobby
I might.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Okay, so what happens is if I'm really empty, I'll be like, oh, I'm gonna do that 30 discount. Cause it's gonna be worth more, right? Better savings. So I went yesterday because I was completely empty. I'm like, I'm gonna use that discount that I saw up there. And I get there expired because I waited. So like now I know I can't wait. And I'm having this trouble of when do I use the 30 cent discount versus the 3 cent discount.
Bobby
I understand macro, yeah, but the 30 and the 3, is that per gallon?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah, yeah, yeah, 30 cents a gallon right now. Which is a great discount. But I'm like, I Don't want to just use that when I'm, you know, just trying to.
Bobby
You can use 3 all the time or 30 once.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Correct. Like, but I didn't realize that I can lose it. And I was so mad yesterday when I'm like, oh, I want to use that 30 cent discount I get there. Expired.
Bobby
Well, you learned a lesson.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah, I guess.
Bobby
I don't like to use stuff either. I mean, I used all my credit card Southwest points to get Scuba and Ray out to Vegas. Otherwise I just sit on them and go, oh, I may need these at some point. But, like, my credit card points, I don't know. I could buy this building, I think.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Is that, like, where you buy. There's certain things on a catalog that you can buy or like a list of things that you can buy with those points?
Bobby
Sort of. Yes, there is a list, but there's also. You can just get like, gift cards, American Express gift cards, money. Yeah.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
That's cool.
Bobby
Yeah.
Unidentified Male Guest
Yeah, that's the way to go.
Bobby
I have millions and millions of points because I've never once cashed millions.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Wow.
Bobby
I know.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
That's so cool.
Bobby
It's insane.
Amy
I, like, get points and I'm like, what am I gonna.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
How do I use them now?
Bobby
I just never use them. I've never used them on this card.
Amy
I have one that's attached to my Amazon and it'll be like, because I spend them so fast, they convert into money. So it'll be like, if I'm checking out on Amazon and I'm buying like, Q tips or something, they'll be like, you have $3.11 to use with your points. I'm like, yep, yeah, I got that. And then my Q tips end up being $2, and I feel awesome. But sometimes it piles up.
Bobby
That's a better way to do it, though.
Amy
Well, but sometimes I. I pile it up and it. I've got like 200 worth to use when I'm shopping on Amazon and it's like, it's free. It. I mean, when I check out, I'm like, oh, free. But other times I just use it so fast like that. Like the $3.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
We have pizza for different pizza places. Like, so when we eat on Fridays, it's like, all right, what. What more. Which pizza place do we have more reward stuff on? That's what we're eating that Friday.
Bobby
I'm just trying to see how many points I have, but I logged in through, like, a weird site.
Gary Valenciano
Great.
Bobby
Now all my points are gone because I got hacked. I have a 6,234,124 points.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
It's crazy.
Narrator (Missing Sister Podcast)
Yeah.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
And can you calculate that to money?
Bobby
It's a lot. Dude,
Unidentified Male Guest 2
that's amazing.
Unidentified Male Guest
I don't even know how you get points. That's pretty cool. What do you mean I don't get points on mine?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Your credit cards?
Zach
No.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Like, miles.
Unidentified Male Guest
I don't get miles.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
I'm shocked.
Bobby
You're just using a wrong type of card then.
Unidentified Male Guest
That's what I'm saying. Like, when you guys are saying you're getting points, I'm like, I don't know what you mean by points. Like, you get points.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Dude, this. This is so right up your alley. Like, you need to get on this. You would love it.
Unidentified Male Guest
Yeah, but don't they charge you a fee per year?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
No.
Zach
No.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Oh, American Express does, but no, I have.
Bobby
That's American Express for me. There's no fee. They just want you to use their card.
Unidentified Male Guest
Oh.
Bobby
That's why they offer you the points. The more you use their card, the more points you get, the more you use their car. Let's say you don't pay off your balance every month. You're paying interest. They're weighing that versus the points they're giving type thing. Yeah, it's crazy, you know, you don't use points at all.
Unidentified Male Guest
Yeah. There is a guy, like, on Twitter, he's called the points guy. If you. I watch him and he has all these tips, and I'm just like, it's too overwhelming. I'm like, all right, I can't do it.
Amy
It does get overwhelming. But then you're like, what am I missing out on?
Unidentified Male Guest
Yeah. Because he's like, oh, you can do this, get this, get that. And I'm like, what? Oh. And then I'm like, it's over my head.
Bobby
Yeah. Mine does not have a fee.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Your amex?
Bobby
Yeah, some.
Amy
Do you have the platinum one?
Bobby
I don't know. I don't know. Color.
Amy
What color is it?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Hey, do you have the black?
Amy
Show me.
Bobby
I'm not showing you my. My card. Wait, I get hacked.
Unidentified Male Guest
Show me the number.
Bobby
No.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Say the number.
Bobby
Tell me something good or suck. Lunchbox Man.
Unidentified Male Guest
It's going to feel like I'm copying you, but I, I, I eat like a little squirrel. And there's this granola that I buy at. Down at the store below us. And I got some after work yesterday, and I usually eat it in the mornings. And we all go to the bathroom, we run to the bathroom, and I ripped it open this morning, and I'm walking in the Bathroom. And I threw that first little ah handful in my mouth. Stale's crap. Like just soggy and just gross. And I'm just like great.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
But you could easily walk down there and just get a new one.
Unidentified Male Guest
No, no, I'm going to.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bobby
Maybe it's not granola season. We ever think about that?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
For both of us, that's a real thing.
Bobby
We're not a season.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
I didn't realize that like certain things have seasons. So like people are. Do not buy strawberries in February.
Bobby
Well, you don't understand fruit.
Unidentified Male Guest
Wait, strawberry has a season?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah.
Unidentified Male Guest
I thought it was just watermelon.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
No, everything like peaches. Yeah.
Bobby
Fruit generally.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
I didn't realize that. I just thought it was a year round thing. You grow it.
Bobby
I'm sorry to hear about your granola.
Unidentified Male Guest
Yeah. So it's very frustrating. So luckily we got some extra breakfast out here or else I'll just be starving over here.
Bobby
Right. There you have it. That's. Tell me something. Suck. And then Amy was good. All right, there you go. It's time for the good news with Bobby. We'll talk about how important it is to donate blood and that everybody should do it, that kind of thing. But rarely do we talk about animals donating blood. There was a rescue pit bull in Arizona who helped save the life of a pug by donating its blood. Roland is a seven year old pit bull and so vets determined that the other dog needed blood badly. So they take the other. I didn't know animals could donate blood.
Amy
I know, I have never thought of this, but obviously it happens.
Bobby
But do you have.
Amy
But they have to master.
Bobby
Can you take donkey blood and put it in a dog?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Good question.
Zach
Yeah.
Bobby
Because you probably can't with a human. It worked though. So this shelter pit bull gave blood. This pug is now bouncing back from being underweight, anemic, dehydrated, unresponsive, and it works. So I just don't know if you can take blood from any dog and give it to another. But probably dog to dog. Probably not. Cat to dog.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah.
Bobby
Or pig to dog.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Probably not. And, and also too, if the dog that donates the blood, is that automatically a generous dog even though the dog had no really no choice?
Bobby
Yeah.
Amy
I mean it doesn't know.
Bobby
Do you have to get consent?
Mangesha
Right?
Bobby
Is that what you're asking?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby
Dogs can go straight to other dogs. But I guess it's like humans can go to humans.
Amy
But does it have to be matched like a O positive?
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Do they have that?
Bobby
No, there are 12 types of dog blood? I don't know. I'm not. It doesn't matter. This is not about science. It's about good news. There you go. That is a story. And both dogs are doing well. That is what it's all about. It's time for the good news with lunchbox.
Unidentified Male Guest
Marisa Mojica is enjoying a day at the park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Just laying there, having a good old time, when some lady comes running out of the water with her daughter. She's not breathing. She's not breathing. Someone help. And Marisa's like, well, I'm CPR certified. Jumps up, goes little girl, and boom, boom, boom, boom for two minutes doing the resuscitation, and boom. Girl starts breathing again. Before emergency medical people arrived, I'm certified.
Bobby
I have a card. I'd look around first, see if anybody else is, like, a real nurse or doctor first.
Amy
Do you carry it?
Mangesha
Nah.
Amy
Oh.
Unidentified Male Guest 2
Oh, you should. That should be in your wallet.
Amy
That's like a.
Unidentified Male Guest
That's like a.
Bobby
My wallet's so full of crap. I don't feel like I need to show up before I give anyone cpr. Like, are you trained? Yeah. Here's my card. I feel like if there's one thing I don't need to show, it's that one. But, yeah, I think I would look around first. Is anyone certified? Yes. Is there any doctor nurse here that wants to go first? That's a great story. Good one. That's what it's all about.
Joe
That was.
Bobby
Tell me something good.

This is an I heart podcast.
