In the middle of the night, Saskia awoke in a haze. Her husband Mike was on his laptop. What was on his screen would change Saskia's life forever.
Bobby Bones
I said, I need you to tell.
Amy
Me exactly what you're doing. And immediately the mask came off. You're supposed to be safe.
Bobby Bones
That's your home.
Amy
That's your husband. Listen to Betrayal Season 5 on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Bobby Bones
Here we go. Come on, Bobby.
Caller/Guest
Transmitting across America.
Bobby Bones
Turn it.
Amy
This is.
Bobby Bones
Let's go. Welcome to Thursday's show, Morning studio. Morning. Over 80,000 Keurig decaf pods had caffeinated coffee in them. It looks like.
Amy
Oh, oopsie. That could be terrible for somebody that can't have caffeine or just that wants.
Bobby Bones
To go to sleep.
Eddie
Right?
Bobby Bones
I would think there are more of those people out there, the people that are allergic to caffeine. But yeah. Can you be so allergic to caffeine you die?
Amy
Well, I guess I don't mean like allergic, but some people, like if heart issues or something.
Bailey Zimmerman
Yeah.
Eddie
Like my brother had a stroke. He can't have caffeine.
Bobby Bones
But what if he has it?
Lunchbox
I don't want.
Bobby Bones
I don't want of these.
Eddie
I don't know. That'd be bad.
Bobby Bones
NBC News, there's a recall. It's been issued for more than 80,000 Keurig coffee pods. According to the FDA. Whoopsie. A little bit. When you drink decaf, aren't you just risking it that it possibly could be caffeinated? Because I used to work at restaurants and if you're out of decaf, you just poured caffeinated in.
Bailey Zimmerman
What?
Amy
Why wouldn't you just say we're out of decaf?
Bobby Bones
I didn't do that.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
But it would happen.
Amy
Yeah. All right. Yeah, that's risky.
Bobby Bones
Isn't that just a risk you take?
Eddie
No, I've never thought of that. Like, I just trust it. Like, one's decaf, one's not.
Amy
Right.
Bobby Bones
While very rare, you can die from a severe acute allergic reaction to caffeine. Wow. So I don't think that's happening a lot here, but it could. Like, even one death is one death.
Amy
Yeah. But I feel like if you are severely allergic to caffeine, you just stay away from it all.
Bobby Bones
You know why? Because you knows what you're dealing with. Coffee.
Amy
Even in decaf, is there the tiniest trace? I'm not talking about like this. Where it was like.
Bobby Bones
Of what? Cocaine?
Eddie
No, caffeine.
Amy
Caffeine.
Bobby Bones
Like when you say trace, I always. That's what I see in all these drug shows. Traces of coke. John.
Amy
I need to watch a documentary on it because how do they decaffeinate the bean?
Bobby Bones
Anyway, decaf coffee does contain small amounts of caffeine.
Eddie
I told you so.
Amy
I know it's a small amount, but that one, that's just a given across the board. It's not going to impact you. But what the. What they're saying is in their pods, they had more than the usual small amount.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Next up, the South Carolina measles outbreak reaches 789 cases. I saw that.
Eddie
I had to check the date on that article.
Bobby Bones
Measle.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I thought it was 1861.
Eddie
What date is this?
Bobby Bones
Same.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I was like, where's my Edgar Allan Poe news? Measles in South Carolina has spread to 789 people, surpassing the 2025 West Texas outbreak that killed kids. And there were 762 in that one. The majority of cases remain centered in Spartanburg county, mostly among people who were unvaccinated. There have been 89 new cases confirmed since last Friday. The outbreak is not under control. Health officials said that 557 people are in quarantine for 21 days.
Bailey Zimmerman
Wow.
Bobby Bones
Whoa.
Amy
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
All right, listen, here's a couple things I love. Ready? Go ahead.
Eddie
Water.
Bobby Bones
My wife, My dogs. Vaccines. That's it. The razorback. Oh, oh, there's more. Yeah, I'm just saying. Vaccines way up there on that list. That's how we're not in the 1800s because we've developed those. Mr. Beast. Back in the news, we had Amy's son on the podcast on Tuesday and he was talking about Mr. Beast. I was like, do you watch any streamers? He's like, well, Mr. Beast. And so the kids love Mr. Beast. He gifted a 12 year old a bionic arm.
Amy
Oh, that's cool. Wow.
Bobby Bones
He surprised a 12 year old boy born without his right hand with a custom bionic arm at an open bionics clinic in Austin, Texas. The child's family had been unable to afford a bionic prosthetic through insurance or crowdfunding. The personalized hero pro arm now allows him to perform two handed activities and has significantly improved his independence and confidence. From the New York Post. Big shout out to Mr. Beast. Amy, can you name Mr. Beast? Real name?
Amy
No, I do not know it. I can tell you what he looks like, but that's about it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I have a beef with what he looks like.
Amy
Why?
Bobby Bones
Because he doesn't look like a beast.
Amy
Not at all.
Bobby Bones
He doesn't like a normal dude, like friendly, kind of nerdy. Yeah, like I like it. He's not.
Amy
He's not what you would expect by that name.
Bobby Bones
Beast. I expect somebody like Chris Hemsworth. Yeah.
Lunchbox
Big dude.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Big, big dude or. Yeah. Like he. His name sounds like what Lunchbox should look like.
Eddie
But you don't look like.
Bobby Bones
He doesn't look like that.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
He also is like super.
Amy
That's the similarity they.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
Have is a lot of people think lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
There's Mr. Beast and Mr. Least and they both. They both don't really.
Lunchbox
Who's Mr. Lease?
Eddie
Well, just a.
Bobby Bones
You tell us a little joke. His name is Jimmy Donaldson.
Lunchbox
Really?
Eddie
I never knew that.
Lunchbox
I never heard that.
Amy
It's like Jason Gibble.
Eddie
It is the similarities.
Bobby Bones
And finally, from Hill Dickinson, which is a law firm and we've been dealing with a massive ice storm that has crippled our town. Trees falling all over the place. Can your boss make you come to work when there's bad weather?
Amy
I don't. I guess he can't make you because like you're going to risk your life.
Bobby Bones
Workplace experts say employers should not encourage staff to travel when it's not safe, such as when there's heavy snow or ice, because if they were to get in an accident, the company could get in some legal trouble, especially if weather authorities warn people not to travel by car. Or public transportation. I know of a couple stories where restaurants told people that I know that they're like, if you don't come in, you're going to lose your job.
Amy
Oh, man.
Bobby Bones
Yikes. So, hey, maybe you call Hill Dickinson, let him represent you.
Eddie
He's got you.
Bobby Bones
Our thing is always, even if you have a cold, if you can't come in, don't come in. If it's ice, email goes out. You think, look, if somebody spills ice on the road from a bag of ice and you feel like that's too risky, don't come in. So, yeah, that's kind of the rule of law there. So there you go. Hello, Bobby Bones. My boyfriend and I have been together about two years. We got engaged recently. He treats me wonderfully. And he treats my kids wonderfully. I have noticed during our entire two year relationship though, that he has a major wandering eye. I know that it's normal to notice other attractive people. I get it. That's not the problem for me. The problem for me is it takes me out of my safety zone. Because he doesn't just look or notice. He stares. Particularly. A couple weeks ago I had my work formal and I was dressed to the nines. But through the night, he definitely gawked repeatedly. He didn't stare at me. He was not in awe of me. It seemed he was in awe of other people. It made me so uncomfortable. Again, I know that it's normal to notice other attractive people, but I feel like there's a healthy limit and he just can't help himself. Do you feel like this is disrespectful? Sign securely insecure. Amy, you be her.
Amy
Oh, I don't like this at all. Oh, the creepy feels uncomfortable.
Bobby Bones
The staring feels creepy.
Amy
Totally creepy. And I would be embarrassed because if you're not the only one noticing it, I mean, if he's that obvious other people, he's like the creepy stare guy and that's just uncomfortable. And while he might be good to you and your kids, like, I hope you're not settling because of that.
Bobby Bones
Engaged. He treats him amazing. Is that something you're willing to go, you know what?
Amy
Amazing. But he creepily stares at other people.
Bobby Bones
So what would you do then?
Eddie
Yeah, do you tell him something? What do you do?
Amy
I'm very. I'm very turned off by this.
Bobby Bones
So, like, is this a conversation?
Amy
Oh, it's for sure a conversation. And if he can't change it, like it could be a deal breaker. Cuz it's creepy.
Bobby Bones
Could be or would be?
Amy
Could be. Cuz I don't know other variables at play.
Bobby Bones
If he makes up for it in every other way, he's perfect. But then he just stares at butts of women walking by.
Amy
Like noticeably stares.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like he is perfect in every way. And again, great to the kids, takes care of her, makes her feel safe. But. But when a girl walks by, he's just like.
Amy
I know.
Bobby Bones
Stares at her butt the whole time.
Amy
Yeah, that's just going to be so unattractive to me. It's going to be a huge turnoff. So I don't know that. I mean, she's obviously been putting up with it for the last two years though. That's hard. I mean, if he.
Bobby Bones
He's some advice.
Amy
Good men are hard to come by.
Bobby Bones
What if they're butt stairs with the butt?
Amy
Serious. I can't give her advice and tell her what to do because I probably wake up with them.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
And I don't want to tell her that.
Bobby Bones
Your advice is break up with them?
Amy
No, no, that's. I wouldn't be. I would eventually be so disgusted because like he's gonna get older and it's gonna get worse and then he's the old creepy, scary guy. And I can't have that because it's.
Bobby Bones
Not worse that you just keep staring. It's worse when you get older. It seems creepier. Yeah, yeah. It's not that he's going to stare more, he's just gonna get older and that makes it creepier.
Eddie
Bad look.
Amy
And like, you do not want to be linked to creepy old stare guy.
Eddie
But Amy, you haven't told him anything. Like, does she talk to him?
Amy
Oh, yeah. Yeah, I see. This is a conversation. I said, if he doesn't change, what do you say? I say when you stare for long periods of time, other people, it makes me feel very uncomfortable and disrespected. And what I need for you is to not stare at people.
Bobby Bones
What if he says got it. And then he pulls a pair of sunglasses out and puts them on his head. It's like, I'll just wear these all the time. So you can't tell.
Amy
No, because now. Okay, now you're not being as creepy because not as obvious, but you're still being disrespectful. And I feel like she's trying to tell herself over and over. I get that it's normal to look at other people like there's only. So you can only tell yourself that statement for so long because. Yeah. You notice other attractive people and you choose not to Stare.
Bobby Bones
What if, though, he is a problem?
Amy
Yeah. This is not a good problem to have.
Bobby Bones
Like, there's something like he's a disorder, a staring disorder.
Eddie
I'm sure that that's got a name.
Bobby Bones
Some people don't communicate properly. And some people are close talkers. Some people are what if that's his thing.
Amy
Okay, Therapy.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so your advice is have a conversation.
Amy
Have a conversation. Tell him in a kind, intense, use, intentional dialogue like I did. When this happens, it makes me feel. And then what it brings up for me is this. And what I need from you is this.
Bobby Bones
And then if that doesn't work, hit us up, we'll give you more advice.
Amy
Well, it's probably break up.
Bobby Bones
Okay, there you go. Close it up on the Bobby Bones show.
Amy
Now, Bailey Zimmerman.
Bobby Bones
Bailey, around Christmas had posted a TikTok and he surprised his mom in the new house.
Bailey Zimmerman
Yes.
Bobby Bones
And then you ended up surprising her with an suv.
Bailey Zimmerman
Starting off January of last year, after Cancun crashed, my playa, we get home from crash, my playa, and my mom gets really sick and she like, is in the hospital, like on a ventilator, like might die sick. She was one day away from dying. Basically she had went through, man, it was 20, 22 days on event or 23 days. Yeah, it was really crazy. It was. I was going to the hospital between tour and between everything and like, you know, staying at the hospital, my bus and then going to see her and we all honestly thought she was like not gonna make it. And then one day she just woke up and like, was good and like, you know, the vet came out and everything was good. And now she's alive. At that moment when she was just like really sick, she. She was like down kind of like rock bottom, you know, like all that time in the, in the hospital made her quit smoking cigarettes. So where my brain was like, man, she's really had a hard time. I want to get her a house. That's where it started. My mom had like, has always tried to give me like the best of the best whenever she didn't have it. And I'm like, I am at a point in my life where I've been very, very blessed and like, you know, the success and everything. I was like, I'm going to give her a fully new house and this is. I'm just going to do it. And I know I won't regret it, you know, in the future. You know, I'll just have to. Let's, you know, keep working hard, you know, when I started looking, there was this one house in town that my mom's best friend, her name was Joanie. And it caddy cornered my grandma's house. And my mom had grew up on that land riding dirt bikes where that house was built. And Joanie was my mom's best friend. Joanie built the house. She ended up dying in 2009, and it was a really, really bad time for my mom. And that house had just always meant a lot to her. And then it got sold to other people, and I ended up buying that house. And it catty corners my grandma. So now my mom can go right over to my grandma's grandma can come to her house. It's like a God given, like, blessing. So we went in, like, yeah, made it all new and black and white, and I gave her, like, a chill area. And how long did it take to.
Bobby Bones
Rebuild the house, like, the relations?
Bailey Zimmerman
Four months or so.
Bobby Bones
Was it hard to stay quiet about it as it was happening?
Bailey Zimmerman
So she had. I had went with her to the house because she thought I was looking for a house. So from then on, she didn't really know much. And I think she had this suspicion because there were so many people there, and there's not anybody in town that, like, would buy that, so. And I hadn't said anything, but she didn't say anything about it, so we just didn't say anything. I thought my grandma was gonna ruin it, dude.
Bobby Bones
Oh, your grandma knew?
Bailey Zimmerman
My grandma knew a little bit because she overheard some stuff. And then I was like, you better just chill out.
Bobby Bones
Were you trying to be Christmas?
Bailey Zimmerman
Yeah, that was like our thing. I really wanted to get it in by Christmas.
Bobby Bones
When you drove her by. When you drove her too. Why were you driving by? Were you going to your grandma's house? Finger quotes or what?
Bailey Zimmerman
I was just like, driving around, and I was just like, yeah, let's just go drive around. And then I told her we were making a video. I thought I needed to make it.
Bobby Bones
A better story than just driving around.
Bailey Zimmerman
Okay, let's go drive around. Oh, I need to make a video.
Bobby Bones
And so when you drive by, that's her reaction? Her genuine reaction.
Bailey Zimmerman
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So I saw that video. But then it was like, there's more. It was like one of those 90s commercials that come on and then you back the truck, the suv, out of the garage.
Bailey Zimmerman
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Was she suspecting that at all?
Bailey Zimmerman
No, there was a lot of people. Like, she kind of seemed more overwhelmed about the car than she did the house. And I'm like. She's like, I can't keep Reading comments. All these comments. Anyone Negative. I just want to. I just want to DM him. I just want to tell him off. And I'm like, mom, just. It's okay. Like, just chill out. She was going, reading the comments, she was like, everybody thinks I was more excited about the car than the house. But yeah, she was really surprised when. When everybody was in the garage because I did the same thing for my grandma. There's another video of me giving my grandma a car. And I just used the same, like, kind for the video and how to like, surprise her with it. I just used the same, like, kind of idea. And I. Yeah, yeah. It was like, everybody hides in the garage. And then I. Cause I didn't know. I was like, okay, I can't be in the garage because she's gonna be like, what's going on? So I was like, hey, I need to. Said the same thing because we always make videos when I'm back home. So I was like, hey, I need to make another video. One earlier didn't. I don't know, I need to redo it. And she was like, okay. And then I just started video. And I was like, it did? Yeah, it was. Oh, it was so funny because she was like, you did this to grandma and now it's like flipped on me. So, yeah, it was, man. It's like what you dream, like literally as a kid and you watch it in the movies. You know, the rock star, like, you know, takes care of his family and like, it's just everything I was taught growing up too. Just like, when you get the chance to help people, that helped you. Like, man, my mom, bro, we've talked about this. The fifteen hundred dollars that my mom gave me to record my first song. I quit my job and needed fifteen hundred dollars to become a country singer. Like, how does. How crazy does that sound? And she was just like, yeah, perfect. Didn't have fifteen hundred dollars gave it to me. So it's like, man, I still got more to do, you know? Like, she still deserves more because I would. Without that 1500, where would I be now, you know?
Eddie
So the Bobby Bone show.

Bobby Bones
It's time for the good news with Bobby. Tell me something good. Last month, a couple in California got engaged at a theater after viewing a special movie created by the groom to be. His name is Austin. And he asked his girlfriend, hey, let's go to a movie. There was this local artist showcased at this local theater. So they went and they're sitting down, and they're pretty much the only ones in the theater. And this movie about the relationship started playing. So she's like, what's happening here? The theater then went from empty to being filled with friends and family who slowly trickled in. The film, which was created by Austin over nearly a year, was about their 10 year love story. It had friends from different stages of their life, A choreographed dance with the dance team from UCLA that he got to do with their dogs. And then by the time the movie was over, the theater was almost completely full of people that they knew. That's from people. Here's the thing. Great story. But if you're like his buddy, and his buddy's girl hears about it, his buddy's held to a higher stand.
Amy
He just set the bar.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, well, Austin did this with his girl. You did my name up on a scoreboard.
Amy
Yeah, Yeah. I mean, I don't know how you taught that.
Bobby Bones
That's really good. As the movie ended, Austin then, because he walked out near the end, walked back down the aisle playing a ukulele and singing the Way I Am, a song he had performed when he first asked her to be his girlfriend a decade earlier.
Eddie
Guys, Austin sounds amazing.
Bobby Bones
Do we want to marry Austin?
Amy
Even the friends that maybe are already been married a while are looking at their guys like, you didn't do this.
Bobby Bones
That's again, what a great story, Austin. Big shout out to you, People magazine. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good, bones. So we're driving near the house, and there's a guy in a big white suv and he's stuck. He's near the house. He's obviously stuck. And he's spinning. He's by himself. And I just have on sweats. And we've been dealing with no power. We've been dealing with bouncing back and forth. We were staying over in like a studio that we use some for podcasting. And so I was like, oh, man, I gotta help this guy. And so I'm like, are you good? I knew he wasn't good. You good? And he's like, I'm stuck. I'm like, all right. So I get out, and I'm like, okay. You get on the gas. And his car. Have you seen the pictures?
Amy
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Okay. His car was right by a tree. Or I would go and push from the back glass, like, put my hand inside the back glass of the SUV and push from the side. It was right by a tree. And I don't want to die and have that thing, like, slide.
Bailey Zimmerman
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
And pinch me in. So I'm behind the car, and it's ice. And I'm like, go. Whoo. I'm trying to rock it. It's one man and one man nothing. We got close once. Go. I'm pushing. Nothing. He's like, just not moving. Caitlin's in the car. She's pregnant. She doesn't like it when I say very pregnant. She's pregnant. She's pregnant. And I said, kaylin, can you get in this guy's car?
Amy
Oh. So that both of you guys?
Eddie
Yeah. Okay.
Bobby Bones
And she's like, yeah, I guess. And so she's in, like, slides and sweats. And I walk her over. Obviously, I don't want her to fall on the ice. And so she gets in the car. I'm behind the car. He's kind of behind the car because there are trees, and now they want us to get smashed. We want to die. And so we're rocking it. Rock one. Well, first of all, we grabbed a bunch of. To put in the mud underneath it, try to get some kind of traction. So we did. I was like, hey, let's find. First of all, let's use your mats, because that's the first thing you do. I've been stuck many times. You. To put the mats under there, try to get some traction. That didn't work because he already dug holes from just spinning so much. And then it had gone from ice. It was starting to be the dirt. So then we got, like, some tree. We're cramming tree limbs and stuff under there just to get any. Try to get any traction with the wheels. And so we go. We're rocking. Ready, two, three, go. Caitlin goes a little scared. Not her truck. So she didn't hit it hard the first time. We're like, you gotta go. And then we're also watching to make sure no cars were coming down the road. So we didn't hit. We didn't hit them. Like, she didn't jump out there and lose control. And so we go again. We just have to get it over this lip on the road. It's ice. This lip to get on the road. 1, 2, 3. We start to get a little traction.
Bailey Zimmerman
We're go, go, go, go.
Bobby Bones
Backset didn't get it.
Bailey Zimmerman
Dang.
Eddie
It's frustrating.
Bobby Bones
It's so frustrating. And I start to realize I'm kind of getting dirty by this. No big deal. Next time, go. Nailing it. We're pushing as hard as we can. It starts to get some lip. By this time, I can feel the mud just covering me. My face, all my body, every. I'm just covered, caked in mu. The truck catches. Whoa. Pulls out. I'm not kidding when I say this. I'm covered in mud too. The guy goes, hey, man, thanks. Can I get a selfie?
Amy
I didn't even know you're joking.
Bobby Bones
No, I didn't even know that. The guy knew me from the show. It was dark, he was stuck. And I'm like, sure, man. So I do a thumbs up. I'm covered in mud. I don't realize how much mud I'm covered in yet.
Amy
Funny.
Bobby Bones
And so he goes, thanks, man. Caitlyn gets out of. Walking back to the car. He just gets off and drives off. I don't know what I thought would happen. Like, he'd be like, hey, thanks. I really appreciate. I don't know.
Amy
So did he slide off?
Bobby Bones
I don't know.
Amy
Oh, you didn't know? No.
Bobby Bones
Because as soon as I got there, I wasn't. I'm not asking him much questions. I was like, hey, what's. I said, hey, are you stuck? I knew he was stuck. He was like, yeah. I said, can I help you? And he was in the truck. Cuz at first it was just him, so we weren't talking a lot because he was in the truck as I was pushing. The second one happens, and then we're just out there. I'm cold. And we had on a pair of my.
Amy
I think they're literally my favorite.
Bobby Bones
They're literally my favorite shoes.
Amy
No, I knew what they were because I seen you and I love shoes.
Bobby Bones
And these were expensive shoes.
Amy
Are they ruined?
Bobby Bones
They're. I don't know how. They're not ruined ever. It's up on Instagram. If you go Mr. Bobby Bones on Instagram, I am covered in mud. It was in so much. So I took a shower and I had to have my wife come evaluate and be like, no, they're still. It's in your ears. And I had to dig in my ears to get it out. I ruined everything.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And I don't know. I don't think. I didn't want anything from the guy.
Eddie
Just felt weird.
Bobby Bones
But he just jumped in the car and drove off. My wife said he might have had food in his car to deliver. Like, he could have been a delivery driver because she saw a bunch of bags of food in there. Either that or he's picking up. But I would. I know.
Lunchbox
Oh, those shoes, man. They're done.
Bobby Bones
They're.
Lunchbox
Oh, no.
Amy
I mean, maybe we could. They are cake, but I'm like, maybe we could restore them.
Lunchbox
Oh, you know what you should do is tag the brand and be like.
Bobby Bones
Look, I. I'm gonna tell you, that brand does not care.
Lunchbox
These shoes died being a hero. And maybe they'll send you a new pair.
Amy
Yeah, they don't care.
Eddie
Bad customer service over there.
Bobby Bones
This is how much.
Eddie
Oh, my goodness. And they're.
Bobby Bones
It's the only shoes I had on. I wasn't planning on helping anybody.
Amy
Well, and you didn't think, like, you're, like, in the ice.
Bobby Bones
I didn't think I was out there just to help.
Eddie
Wait, what's the reason? That's the color of that shoe.
Amy
That's what heroes do.
Bobby Bones
You know what? It wasn't about me.
Amy
I don't think.
Bobby Bones
Thank you. No need to clap, but if you. If you insist. If everybody insists.
Eddie
Hey, man.
Bobby Bones
Thank you.
Amy
Let me put my drink.
Bobby Bones
If everybody insist. Thank you. If you all are gonna stand up. Okay. If you're all gonna stand up.
Eddie
Wow.
Bailey Zimmerman
Wow.
Bobby Bones
Thank you. Thank you, man. That is.
Eddie
I'm forcing me to get up.
Bobby Bones
We peer pressured her. The. I'm glad I remember taking video, though. No one would have believed me when.
Eddie
That video popped up. I'm like, is he sick? Like, what?
Amy
I felt like a septic tank blew.
Bobby Bones
Up on you or something. I got mudded for sure. But the guy got out, and I hope if he was delivering food, he got all his food there in time.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And everything's good. So that. That was my night. So. Yeah, look at us.
Eddie
Night of a hero.
Lunchbox
Night of a hero.
Bobby Bones
I'm not a hero.
Lunchbox
Oh, man.
Bobby Bones
Don't call me that. I refuse to be called a hero.
Lunchbox
Tell me something good, you know, just another day.
Bobby Bones
Just bones. Let's go over and talk to Brittany in Virginia Beach.
Caller/Guest
Brittany, you're on Morning Studio.
Eddie
Morning.
Caller/Guest
I just wanted to call in and give you guys a. Tell me something good. All right, Give it to us this weekend. We're Gonna come up to Vanderbilt to my boyfriend's donating bone marrow. And the way this happened was he signed up like seven years ago on the national registry, and they found somebody that was a possible match a couple months ago, came and took his blood, and now we're flying out on Friday.
Bobby Bones
So seven years ago, that's how long it took for them to find, like, a match?
Caller/Guest
Yeah. He honestly seen a video on Reddit that the guy signed up for it and then touched his heart in some way and he's. Yeah.
Amy
If you don't mind me asking, how old is your husband?
Caller/Guest
He is 37.
Amy
37?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. No, you're just saying that because you think you're too old.
Eddie
No, no, I asked about it and I heard that I was too old to donate. Yeah, because I think you guys challenged me, like, would you do bone marrow? And I said, yeah, I would try it, but I was too old for that.
Bobby Bones
Okay, let. Don't hang up, Britney.
Lunchbox
Okay, Yeah, I believe you. We talked to the bone marrow, and they said you were too old. As much as I hate to be on your side, we talk to the bone marrow.
Eddie
The actual.
Lunchbox
The bone marrow people, we talk to them.
Amy
Bmp.
Bobby Bones
Hey, I have a question for you. Is there an appropriate age to donate bone marrow? Is there too old where you can't donate bone marrow? So with bone marrow donation, it's more.
Caller/Guest
About safety and success.
Bobby Bones
Most registries have an upper age limit. Typically, the cutoff is around 55 or 60 years old. That's not because older folks aren't generous. It's just that younger donors tend to lead to better outcomes for patients. If you're under that limit and healthy, you're usually good to go.
Eddie
Well, Eddie, I mean, good to go, according to her.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And so this is a great story, and we love when people call and tell us these stories. And this is the year of you being serious.
Eddie
Yeah, I'm dead serious.
Bobby Bones
Hey, Brittany. So what happens? You guys come here. He goes into a hospital. What happens? What do they do to him?
Caller/Guest
Well, the procedure is only a couple hours. We won't even be there a couple hours. But they take a needle somewhere close to the spine, and it is upper back, lower back. Sorry. And they said he'll be in some discomfort in his lower back and hip pain because that's where they sit the needle. But other than that, about two weeks recovery that they say he'll be back to normal.
Eddie
Man. They do your lower back, huh? Like, spinal cord area.
Bobby Bones
That's too much for you?
Eddie
No, it just sounds it sounds scary.
Bobby Bones
Brittany, that's really great. It's crazy to me. It took seven years.
Amy
I know.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
And that he's having a fly. Like, it's like.
Bobby Bones
And they're flying him here.
Amy
They'll send them wherever they need us so much.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, good word.
Eddie
You know, that could be the problem. It takes seven years. If I said I would donate today, dude, I'd be six years old.
Bobby Bones
No, you want to be six. Your math is not math right now.
Eddie
I'd be old. Too old for this.
Bobby Bones
No, you went 55 to 60 is what it says.
Eddie
Oh, that's what you're.
Bobby Bones
And that seven years probably is on the longer end.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Brendan, that's an amazing story. So here's what I want to do, because we have a relationship with Macy's, and I want to just hook you up with something here. Macy's makes it easy to find something special for every relationship and every budget. And so you and your husband, I guess he'll kind of be, what, in bed during Valentine's Day? Still recovering?
Caller/Guest
Probably.
Bobby Bones
Probably.
Caller/Guest
He wants to watch Super Bowls.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he lined this up. It's like a guy. When they get snippy, snip during NCAA.
Amy
Tournament, so they can just lay around and watch sports.
Bobby Bones
So I'm gonna give you a $250 gift card, and hopefully you'll treat him to a little something at Macy's. Even get him a diamond bracelet.
Eddie
Oh, that'd be nice.
Amy
Yeah. Or treat yourself.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So, Brittany, really cool. Thank you for sharing the story. Hopefully another listener hears it and is motivated to also go and get tested. And maybe if it's not a listener, it's a show member.
Eddie
Maybe.
Bobby Bones
Maybe tell your husband we said, best to health, best of luck. And it's really cool what you're doing. Please stay on the phone. We're going to get you this gift card, okay?
Caller/Guest
Okay. Thank you, guys.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I know you didn't call for a gift card, but I had one here, so if you. You'll take it, I'll give it to you.
Caller/Guest
I super appreciate it.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Caller/Guest
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Yes. All right, Stand by one second.
Caller/Guest
Appreciate it.
Bobby Bones
Valentine's Day will be here before you know it, and Macy's is the destination for getting everything you need for Valentine's Day. From your new look for your date night to the perfect gift for your valentine before it's too late. Experiences like date night are great, but not enough for the perfect Valentine's Day. Bring a gift from Macy's. Get to your local Macy's this Valentine's Day. Or hit up Macy's dot com. Great story. Hope you feel a little poked there, Eddie.
Eddie
Gosh, that's amazing.
Bobby Bones
That is, right? Yeah, that felt weird.
Amy
Yeah, a little poke. I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Know what?
Amy
I don't know. Hope you feel a little poke there, Eddie.
Bobby Bones
Like, little poke.
Eddie
Like, I felt that.
Bobby Bones
Like, hey, don't forget, if you want to make a difference, you can poke me.
Eddie
What is wrong?
Bobby Bones
No, no, She's Pervy Amy. She's turned a new leaf. Like four months ago, Pervy Amy came busting through, just like on the Biggest Loser at the end. You know, they bust through that picture. Pervy Amy came, boom, bouncing out one.
Amy
Of the biggest songs growing up.
Bobby Bones
That wasn't one of the biggest songs growing up. Okay, next. Too close. It was not one of the biggest songs growing up.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
All right. Thank you to her. Congratulation. Commissions to her for the gift card. But big shout out to her husband. A woman threw her husband a surprise birthday party at Costco because he loves Costco so much.
Eddie
That's cool.
Bobby Bones
So they had at the Costco food court.
Amy
So, like, he went there thinking he was just gonna shop, and then, like, his friends are there.
Bobby Bones
Yes. He accidentally ran into his friends in the aisles. Then they had the party and they all ate pizza.
Amy
That's fun.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
Hot dogs.
Bailey Zimmerman
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
She told people that Costco's one of his favorite places. It used to be a frequent date night spot. So somebody was to throw you a birthday party at your favorite store. What would that store be? I thought about this. I'll give you guys a second to think. I think it would just be in, like, a good gas station.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
That's where I get most of my stuff. Because I don't like to park and walk in for, like, a thing of milk. So I just go to the gas station. I like all the treats at a gas station. It's the only time I ever want Funyuns or Circus peanuts. That's the only time in my life I ever get that stuff is if I'm on a road trip. And again. Or Red Hots. When do I get those? Only on a road trip at a gas station. So like a nice big gas station and there are a few of them.
Amy
I mean, that's pretty legit. That does fit you perfectly.
Bobby Bones
Buc ee's come and go. Any of those that are, like, good quality. Yeah, you.
Amy
So it's not like a restaurant. It has to be like a store.
Bobby Bones
It can be whatever you want. There are no rules. You will not get kicked off the show. If you give us an answer we don't.
Amy
Like, there's a little. Like, where is there, like, a little cafe or something? Like, I love shopping at Nordstrom. And there's a cafe there. Okay, that seems lame.
Eddie
No, no, it's your birthday party.
Bobby Bones
It's a gas station.
Amy
I know that sounds way more fun. Like the coffee shop at Nordstrom.
Bobby Bones
No.
Amy
Okay. Starbucks. No. Chick Fil A, maybe.
Bobby Bones
Solid.
Amy
So I guess now that I've talked myself into it, I'm gonna go Chick Fil A.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
So hopefully it's not a year that my birthday falls on a Sunday.
Eddie
Oh, that'd be closed.
Bobby Bones
Tell you, though, if we're doing, like, restaurants, like Chipotle. Yeah, love Chipotle. Like, everybody can have a good time at Chipotle.
Eddie
Both of those dining rooms, though, a little small.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. But we've rented it out. You guys. You guys treated me extra special. And you rented the whole thing.
Amy
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
What kind of store, Eddie?
Eddie
I'm gonna go Dick's Sporting Goods.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's a good one.
Eddie
Because they have, like.
Amy
How do you eat?
Eddie
Oh, I'm not worried about cater. Yeah, we'll bring the food in.
Amy
Oh, I thought I said my brain was going, where's their food?
Eddie
Order a bunch of pizzas. But, dude, they have golf simulators there, putting greens, little batting cage, like, all kinds of stuff.
Bobby Bones
Okay, great party. Yeah, you put on all the clothes. You do all the clothes.
Eddie
Oh, they even have, like, basketball hoops up. Oh, you know, that's fun. That'd be cool.
Bobby Bones
Great party. Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Well, I mean, Eddie took the Crown Jewel, so I'll have to come up with something for second place here. I'll go with trampoline park because it's good for kids and it's good for adults.
Bobby Bones
We're all getting hurt if we go to a trampoline park and seven of us go in, only two of us are coming out with everything still working.
Lunchbox
Because it's cool. Because they have a basketball court that is on a trampoline. They have dodgeball, and they just. If you want to jump casually, you can jump on the trampoline.
Eddie
So how many foam pits?
Lunchbox
The foam.
Bailey Zimmerman
Oh, no.
Lunchbox
And then they have the one where it's like a tower and you go up and you jump onto a big old air, like, mattress. That is so fun. So I'm going trampoline park.
Bobby Bones
I've never done the basketball at a trampoline park.
Lunchbox
So cool.
Eddie
Dude, it's crazy.
Bobby Bones
How do you not hit your head on the rim?
Eddie
Oh, it's padded.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Eddie
Some people do hit their heads, but it's really padded.
Bobby Bones
The rims padded. So you're not gonna break your neck or anything. Can you dunk?
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Oh, dude.
Eddie
We can.
Bobby Bones
Do adults go in and just dominate kids?
Eddie
Yeah, but it's frowned upon.
Lunchbox
Yeah, they usually have referees where the adults have to play and then they sit down and then they have kids playing. Heck, sometimes they. And it's a basketball court and soccer at the same time. So they have soccer goals.
Bobby Bones
That feels dangerous.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
There are times where there's basketball going on and soccer at the same time, and it is awesome.
Bobby Bones
Soccer feels weird because in soccer you don't need to get up high. In basketball, you can't get up high normally because we can't jump. And that allows you to do that. Soccer is that fun on a trampoline?
Bailey Zimmerman
I don't know.
Lunchbox
The kids do it. I know. I've never played this. The kids like it just because they like soccer, but they have kids dunking over them as they're trying to shoot a soccer ball.
Bobby Bones
That's super fun, though, that. She did that at Costco. I saw once where someone set their husband up at a grocery store and just ran into all its friends. Do you guys remember that video I played? But she did this at Costco. And they had in the food court. So big shout out to her. Name's Amy Putnam. That's fine, Bones. It's time for the good news with Amy.
Amy
So Northville, New Jersey, there's a basketball game going on, and a 14 year old boy that was on the court suddenly fell and went unconscious. A nurse was in the stands. She runs down there. The coach also comes over. They use their CPR training to trade off doing CPR on him. They get the defibrillator and boom, he comes back to life. He didn't even realize really what had happened. So he was like, can I get back in the game?
Eddie
No, man, you're done.
Amy
He was unconscious and. But they. They brought him back to life so efficiently that he was ready to play.
Bobby Bones
What if they brought him back and he was super back to life?
Eddie
Oh, he's better.
Bobby Bones
Like they charged him. Yeah. All of a sudden he had like a three hour period where he could dunk. Yeah. You ever been unconscious?
Amy
No. No.
Bobby Bones
Like knocked out, punching, you know, fell?
Amy
No.
Bobby Bones
I wonder if you do know when you woke up what happened, because he's like, he didn't know what happened. I wonder if you do go out, what you remember beforehand.
Eddie
You've never been Passed out?
Amy
No. Have you?
Bobby Bones
Like, I've been. I've been under, like, anesthesia. Yeah.
Eddie
I feel like it's different, but I.
Bobby Bones
Don'T even remember much except them putting the mask on me a couple times. But even.
Amy
It's true. Like, even when you come out of that stuff, you're like, what just happened?
Lunchbox
No, I'm.
Amy
Well, yeah, you're a little groggy, but I pee myself. It's like, no time passed, though.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, well, big shout out to them for acting quick.
Amy
Yeah. So the nurse was Joan Bowen and the coach was Mike Schumann.
Bobby Bones
And if there's nobody around that is super trained. And there is one of those machines, Eddie says if you go to it, it tells you how to do it.
Eddie
Yeah. There's a voice that says, turn machine on and then hit button now. But it also. It detects a heartbeat. Like, so. If there is a heartbeat, it says, do not push button. Take, you know, attachments off. So it tells you, too, if they don't need it.
Bobby Bones
I think I still do it anyway.
Bailey Zimmerman
I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Might be wrong here. Okay, Good story. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. Wake up, wake up in the morning, You through? M's riding his wigs. Next bit now.
Bailey Zimmerman
Bobby's on the mic.
Bobby Bones
So you know what this is? This is the Bobby. We have 90 seconds to figure out all these corny jokes from Amy. It's time for the investigative morning corny.
Lunchbox
The morning Corny.
Amy
Where do penguins go to vote?
Bobby Bones
The polls.
Eddie
Oh, the polls.
Bobby Bones
The voting poll. The polls.
Amy
Penguin.
Bobby Bones
South Polls.
Amy
The South Pole. Okay, what's a bee's favorite musical?
Bobby Bones
Wax.
Lunchbox
Bees. Beeswax.
Bobby Bones
A Beehive Hamilton. What's a bee's favorite music? Stinger. Honey. Cats.
Lunchbox
Cats. Wax.
Eddie
Phantom of the Opera.
Bobby Bones
Beat Them.
Lunchbox
Bees.
Bobby Bones
Wax.
Eddie
What are some honey? Oh, a Sound of Music.
Bobby Bones
What are musicals?
Eddie
Like La La Land. Like, right in that.
Lunchbox
A musical.
Bobby Bones
Oh, so it could be a movie. Yeah.
Eddie
It could be B. Mary Poppins.
Bobby Bones
What? Her famous musical.
Amy
What's a bee's favorite musical? A bee's favorite.
Eddie
Honey. Honey. Honey. I shrunk the kids.
Amy
I don't know. Maybe Honey.
Lunchbox
Alphabet.
Bailey Zimmerman
Honey.
Eddie
I got nothing.
Lunchbox
I don't.
Bobby Bones
I mean, if it had been, like, favorite bees. Pop star. I say Beyonce.
Eddie
Oh, that's so good.
Bobby Bones
I know, but it's not.
Amy
Oh, yeah, that's good. Or Artist.
Bobby Bones
Oh, Sting is good, too. Or Beethoven.
Eddie
Sting. Oh, Beethoven.
Lunchbox
We're losing track here, guys.
Bobby Bones
I don't know enough musicals.
Eddie
Sting.
Lunchbox
Wicked.
Bobby Bones
Sting.
Eddie
Sting.
Bobby Bones
Stinging in the Rain.
Bailey Zimmerman
Yes.
Amy
Yes.
Lunchbox
Stop.
Eddie
Oh, my gosh.
Amy
Okay. What eight letter word has one letter in it?
Bobby Bones
One eight letter word has one letter.
Lunchbox
A.
Bobby Bones
One letter in it. In what?
Amy
A.
Bobby Bones
It's a riddle. Oh, my gosh.
Amy
Envelope.
Bobby Bones
One letter. Yes. A letter.
Eddie
Letter. Got it.
Lunchbox
Oh, my God.
Eddie
What do we get?
Amy
2. Got you.
Lunchbox
What was the answer to the one?
Bobby Bones
Stinging in the Rain? I'm stinging.
Lunchbox
I got a question.
Bobby Bones
It's Singing in the Rain.
Lunchbox
I had no idea that was a musical. I thought it was a song.
Bobby Bones
It's old. It's like 60s or something like that. It's a TV musical.
Eddie
Singing in the Rain.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Gene Kelly, the dance. They dance with the hat.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay. We didn't do very good, but that's fun. Yeah, we had a good time there, Bones. All right, let's look at some voicemails.
Caller/Guest
Number one, I love Amy so much, but she spoiled Landman. I'm in season one. She just reviewed season two, and she spoiled something. I don't even know if I should say, because I don't want anyone else to.
Amy
To spoil it, but when she was.
Caller/Guest
Talking about the wife. Sorry, Amy.
Bailey Zimmerman
Bye.
Bobby Bones
I don't watch Landman, so I don't know if Amy has spoiled anything, but I thank you for also not saying what it is. So I'm gonna have us not say anything about it until I investigate this further, because sometimes when talking about if we spoil the show, we then spoil the show accidentally by talking about if we spoiled the show. So I'm gonna have everybody hold back. We're going to investigate this. We're going to send this up to New York. We got some officials in the booth, the review team. We're going to have them look at it. But thank you for that call, and thank you for not spoiling. Okay, number two, a couple of questions.
Lunchbox
One, we need to update on Amy.
Caller/Guest
Who, what coach did she find to.
Bobby Bones
Be the hottest, and what's going on with Eddie's chickens.
Eddie
All righty.
Bobby Bones
Y' all take care. Chickens?
Eddie
Like my smoking chicken?
Bobby Bones
You haven't bought live chickens, have you?
Eddie
No, no. That'd be cool. Kind of raised chickens.
Bobby Bones
No, don't do that, because you don't even do the smoking chick update.
Eddie
Not much going on, however. Did you see that there's a whole lawsuit with Costco and chickens?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, the rotisserie lawsuit. But that has nothing to do with you.
Eddie
It could be. I can save the day with Smoking Hot Chicken.
Bobby Bones
No, they're asking if you've done anything about this or if you've just sat back and done nothing.
Eddie
Done nothing.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Next up.
Caller/Guest
Hey, Bobby, this is Kathy. I'm in Florida. I'm listening to your podcast. I'm listening to you talk to Amy son and it's so amazing you're going to be such a good dad. Your questions are great and you can relate to him so well. That's all I wanted to say. Thanks. Have a great day.
Bobby Bones
I appreciate that. But I think that's more of I'm a child and can talk to a child more so than I'm a dad and will be a great dad. So. But if you missed it, Amy's son was on Tuesday's Part two podcast. So you can go back and hear that. All right, give me one more.
Caller/Guest
Hey Bobby, I think you slipped up and revealed that you're having twins. I rebound it and it said if these babies don't kick, I'll be good. You said babies plural. German twins. I hope it's a boy and a girl.
Bobby Bones
I have not slipped up. So I'll say that I have not slept up ever, one time, even partially. Now, have I said things possibly to make the scent go everywhere? There's a shot of that. But I haven't slipped up. So I appreciate you listening. I appreciate you hearing that. But for the record, I have not slipped up and felt like I needed to correct or got off the air. I'm like, oh, I shouldn't have said that. If I've said anything, it's been with purpose or it's been you don't really plant eggs kind of plant seeds. But it's been possibly Easter eggy. But I appreciate that. Hey, don't forget, you guys that are listening on the podcast, you can call at any point and leave a voicemail if we're not live. 877-77-Bobby, very easy. 87777 b o b b y. Leave a voicemail there. Bobby Bone Show Story of the day.
Lunchbox
This story comes to us from Charlottesville, Virginia. A 45 year old man went to Bojangles, got some chicken and noticed his order was wrong and he was upset. He told him, guys, I come here all the time and every time it seems you mess up my order. But don't worry, you're never going to mess it up again because I'm going to blow this place up when I come back. And so they were able to track him down because of his credit card.
Bobby Bones
Oh yeah, they had him. He didn't pay cash. Because you pay cash, you can blow something up.
Eddie
You could.
Bobby Bones
That's the rule. If you pay Cash, they don't care. They can't track you. If they always mess up his order, why does he keep going back?
Amy
Exactly?
Bobby Bones
I don't know. After two. After two. I think I'm done.
Amy
The first part of his bonehead.
Bobby Bones
All right, there you go.
Lunchbox
I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead. Story of the day, Bones.
Bobby Bones
Let's go over and talk to Jacob, who lives in Florida. Jacob, you're on the show. What's up, man?
Caller/Guest
Morning, studio.
Bobby Bones
Morning.
Caller/Guest
So I'm a podcast listener, and I was heard you talking about. He was watching YouTube and you got it down pat. Go ahead and have that diaper ready, because I did not do that. And I was changing my son's diaper, and I turned around to go get the clean one. When I turned back around, he's just peeing right on his face. And I freaked out. Didn't know what to do on. My son's mom at the time was just yelling at me, get the diaper. Get the diaper. So I just grabbed another diaper, just covered it up. So there's mess everywhere. There was pee all in his little crib thing with the changes label on it. It was bad.
Bobby Bones
I bet you those stories are pretty common. Meaning the first couple times, first couple months, there's probably just a lot of disasters that happen. And I know I was practicing on a doll. Listeners, you don't have to tell me that's nothing. Wait till it's alive. I hear you.
Eddie
Well, yeah, no kidding.
Bobby Bones
I fully hear you. But if I don't even know how to do it on a doll, I'm going to know how to do it on a kicking human. So everyone's like, that's nothing, man. That's not real practice on a real baby. Where am I going to get one of those? Whose baby am I going to go borrow and change their diaper? I'm not. I'm doing the best I can over here, so. Yeah, Jacob, I appreciate that. I bet you that's happening with a lot of parents. But listen, I'm swaddling, I'm diapering. It's a doll, but it's better than nothing. And I don't want to do. I don't want to borrow anybody's baby in case someone wants to drop one off up here. I'm good. All right, Jacob. Appreciate that, buddy. Have a great day.
