Here's a clip from an upcoming conversation about how to be a better you. When you think about emotion regulation, you're not gonna choose an adaptive strategy which is more effortful to use unless you think there's a good outcome. Avoidance is easier. Ignoring is easier. Denial's complex. Problem solving takes effort. Listen to the psychology podcast on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Come on, Bobby Bones transmitting across America.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Turn it up.
Bobby Bones
This is the Bobby Bones show.
Lunchbox
Let's go.
Bobby Bones
Welcome to Thursday's show Morning Studio Morning on now. Melody in Nashville. Melo Melody.
Eddie
Hi.
Caller Melody
Good morning, Bobby. Good morning studio.
Bobby Bones
Morning.
Caller Melody
Oh, I love that. So I wanted to get your opinion. So I'm coming to Nashville for my birthday. I flew in just about a half hour ago and I am actually right now driving to Memphis and I'm going to meet someone that I follow on Tick Tock and I want to get your opinion. Like, am I really crazy for doing that or is it like, like should I, should I continue one to go do it or what?
Bobby Bones
Okay. I would like to hear more information though. Go ahead.
Caller Melody
The rest of the information is I followed him on Tick Tock since about June. He lived in Delaware, where I lived. He's homeless. One of his, maybe two of his videos kind of like blew up. So I started to watch, you know, his videos go in his live stream, in his chat and he really started to like try to project positivity and love and caring and just all that awesome stuff out on to that app. And so I go in his live every day and we text back and forth. I mean, I'm married. I've been with my husband for 30 years. He thinks I'm crazy. He's probably not too thrilled that I'm going down here and taking time out of my trip, birthday trip to go meet him. But the reason for meeting him is we didn't get a chance to meet in Delaware. I just wanted to take him to lunch. I wanted to tell him that somebody is proud of him. He had a really rough time growing up. His mom abandoned him, his dad banned him, his stepdad was an alcoholic. Like, he's really trying to make positive moves out in this world and I'm really proud of him. And I know I feel like I barely know him, but I feel like I know him really well, if that makes sense. So I literally am going to meet him and we're going to go have lunch and then I'm going to drive back to Nashville and continue with my birthday week.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I don't hate it. However, with some caveats, you can't go anywhere alone. It doesn't matter who he is. Doesn't matter if it's this guy, any other guy that you don't know, as long as you don't end up somewhere where it's just you two and there's no one else around. Like a man you don't know. I think it's fine. I think it's somebody that you guys have been texting. I mean, on the surface, that feels kind of weird, but I guess it's not romantic at all, right?
Caller Melody
No. Oh, no, no. Not. Ooh. Like, he's not, you know.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. You have a husband. You have. You're 30 years in. Great. So if it literally is what you say it is, where this is somebody who has motivated, inspired, created, or reminded you of something that you're proud of, I don't know. I think that's actually really cool. If you're going to do it. Just do not put yourself in a vulnerable situation. That's what I would worry about. Not knowing you. Not knowing him. No hotel room. No go in. I was going to say into a house, but he was homeless, probably doesn't have a house. Don't get in his car. Just be safe. Otherwise, I think it's great if you want to go and tell somebody that you enjoy their work and they're like, I would love to see you. I think that's fantastic. But only in a public place.
Caller Melody
It will be. It's in a restaurant. Memphis something. Barbecue. Memphis central. Memphis Central. Barbecue.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Can I say one other thing?
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Do you have plans to give him money?
Caller Melody
No.
Bobby Bones
Okay. And I don't mind you giving him a little money, but again, what I worry about, and not because it's just you or just a woman, could also be a guy, is you get there and he has this story where he's like, I need $3,000. And then he takes advantage of you and your generous heart because obviously you have one. And then the next thing you know, you're giving him 3,000 bucks, and who knows what he's doing with that or if he even is home. Like, if it's just you expressing gratitude to somebody in a safe place, I think that's amazing. It's a little odd. I wouldn't do it, I don't think, but I actually kind of love it. So if you are safe and you are not giving him money, a lot of money, I don't care if you give him 100 bucks, it's great, you know, giving him $3,000. I think it's Actually great. And it's a little weird, but that's okay. Weird doesn't mean wrong, but I kind of love it. Be safe. I just need you to be safe. Okay. If you're safe and then you're not giving any money. Is it in daytime?
Caller Melody
No. Yeah, it's right now. Like, I literally just landed. I got my rental car, and I'm driving to Memphis. Well, I mean, I pulled over, but I'm driving to Memphis to. To go have lunch, and I'm going to drive back to Nashville. Monday's my 54th birthday, and I'm going to party it up at Jason Aldean's and have a good dinner and have a good time. That's gonna be fun.
Bobby Bones
That's great. Well, a wise man once said, get it, lady, so I want you to get it. Amy, is there anything you want to say to this?
Amy
Well, I've been curious, and maybe she said it and I just missed it in all of my. Just thinking about this while she's talking. How old is he?
Caller Melody
34. I'm 54.
Amy
So this is sort of like, you feel motherly towards him.
Caller Melody
Absolutely.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah, again, it's a little weird, but I'm okay with it. I do weird stuff all the time, and I think this guy has done something that has moved you to want to show appreciation. So I don't have a problem with that. So be safe. Don't give him an inordinate amount of money. Okay.
Caller Melody
My husband would have a flip attack. Yeah. No, nothing.
Bobby Bones
What'd your husband say? Because I.
Amy
Again, he doesn't want.
Lunchbox
I know.
Bobby Bones
I got to think, though, that this would be close to drawing a line if he really felt like it was a terrible light. Like, what. What's your husband say about this?
Caller Melody
So I just texted him. I text him and said, please turn on the Bobby Bones show right now because he's at work. I said, please leave the Bobby Bone Show. So he's like, oh, I didn't. Sorry, I was in the bathroom. So I don't. He probably hasn't heard any of this, and I wanted to, like, try to get his input, too. I know that he's like. He's like, babe, I'm not girl that you're doing this. I think I know that. I've been listening to him. I sit next to you, like, where you listen to his live. It's like, he's doing such great things, like, you know how you battle on. On TikTok. Well, he sends everybody in his room to go give Positivity to the other person he's battling that has no people in their chat. And he's like, it's not about giving money. It's about giving positive vibes, telling them they're beautiful, telling them they're loved, because he was really didn't feel that growing up at all. And so he wants to make everybody feel loved and appreciated and needed and wanted. It's kind of like the who say another day narrative, if you will. So I love that, and I'm so glad that, you know, he's doing what he's doing on that app, and his name is Brandon, and I think he's wonderful.
Bobby Bones
And are you in love with them?
Lunchbox
No.
Amy
No, it's motherly.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Just making sure. I just want to get a reaction.
Amy
No, I think it's.
Ad Read Announcer
I hear you.
Bobby Bones
I hear you. I hear you. I got it. Yeah, I feel good about it. Okay. My final thing, after hearing that story, I'm glad you spoke about it a little more. One, got. You got to be safe nowhere alone. Two, you can't give him a ton of money. Three, you can't, when he reaches out later, give him more money later.
Amy
And no money.
Caller Melody
No.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Just making sure. I'm not saying he's asking for that. Great. Love it. Because I. There's just people that get taken.
Amy
I mean, she could pay for the lunch if she wanted, but.
Eddie
Well, yeah, she's taking her to lunch, right?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Heck, she can give him 100 bucks today. I don't care about that. It's just a thousands of dollars type situation. Okay. Will you keep us posted? Welfare check tomorrow?
Nicole Garcia
Yes, please.
Caller Melody
Yes.
Eddie
We need to know it went okay.
Bobby Bones
We need a welfare check tomorrow.
Amy
Yeah, like, do turn your location services on.
Caller Melody
You are in my darn brain. My sister has iPhone. My husband has Android. Like, I don't even know why he should have Apple. But my sister has my location, and she's on it, sees me pulled over right now and is worried. So, yeah, location, we're good.
Bobby Bones
I'll conclude with this. You have a very kind heart, and I love that for you. I just want you to be safe. I'm grateful for you because you care, just generally speaking. So I hope you have an awesome day. I hope it is everything that you want it to be, and I hope you end up safe and you're back in Nashville letting it rip at Aldine's Bar in a couple of days.
Caller Melody
I'm going to. I cannot. I cannot wait. I'm so excited for this. I go home on Tuesday, so I'm so excited.
Bobby Bones
All right. Hey, thank you. Be safe.
Caller Melody
Okay, Melody, thank you so much. Love you guys. I listen to you every day.
Bobby Bones
Thank you. Bye.
Snax from Trapped Nerds
Bye, Bones.
Bobby Bones
All right, hit me with the Price is Right music. Close enough. Okay, so Lunchbox next week is going to go and try to get on prices. Right now I'm standing on the stage in our studio. There's a big wall behind me. On the wall, I'm gonna put up products. We're gonna see between Amy, Lunchbox and Eddie, who is actually the best at getting the closest without going over. Wow, this is awesome. Okay, up first. Because if Lunchbox gets the old come on down. He's got to be able to do this. If he can't win this room, he's not going to win that room. Right up first. Hey. That is a modern wood foosball table from Crate and Barrel. Updated with a modern look, this foosball table offers all ages of fun and a fast paced favorite game for your room. Your game room, your finished basement. It's a modern wood foosball table from Crate and Barrel. How much is it? Write your answers down and we'll shift around. So there's, you know, give everybody a different advantage.
Eddie
I'm in.
Bobby Bones
I'm in the brown. Got black handles. Looks pretty sleek. Amy, I'm going to you first. What do you have?
Amy
$2,000.
Bobby Bones
She said $2,000. Lock her in at $2,000 right there. We have a ding or something. There it is. Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Man, that is some beautiful wood.
Bobby Bones
It's beautiful.
Lunchbox
And you said Crate and Barrel. Give me twelve hundred dollars.
Bobby Bones
He's in for twelve hundred dollars.
Eddie
Now, Eddie, that's a very nice table, but I didn't go as high as these guys. Put me down for $901.
Bobby Bones
$901.
Lunchbox
Okay, like the one you were thinking. Someone's going 900.
Eddie
Thank you.
Bobby Bones
With the retail price. Oh, $1,199.
Lunchbox
Eddie. $1.
Bobby Bones
Everybody went over. You two went over.
Eddie
You guys went over by $1. That's.
Bobby Bones
You still went. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You still went over.
Eddie
You went over by $1.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he said 2000.
Amy
That's from Crane Bearer Outlet.
Eddie
No, wait.
Bobby Bones
Well, you said 2000. Twelve hundred dollars is one dollar.
Lunchbox
That's what I put. Oh, you did?
Bobby Bones
What'd you say?
Amy
Oh, I said 2000.
Bobby Bones
Okay, got it. Oh, Eddie, you're up one point. Let's go, baby this time. Lunchbox. Eddie, by the way, if you're gonna go lower than them, you should have gone just $1.
Eddie
Oh, right. I didn't think about that.
Bobby Bones
Because you can change it.
Eddie
Oh, I can change. I'm not locked in when I say.
Bobby Bones
Because you're listening to them.
Eddie
Got it?
Caller Melody
Yeah.
Lunchbox
On contestant row. You don't have to write it down.
Eddie
Good point.
Bobby Bones
Okay, number two up on the screen here. Everybody needs a computer, right, guys?
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Look at that. Sleek 14 inch MacBook Pro. Apple's portable powerhouse laptop. Featuring a stunning Liquid Retina XDR display, powerful Apple M4 chip, long battery life, and a selection of fast ports. How much is the price is right, guys? Lunchbox coming to you first this time. Yep, it's a 14 inch MacBook Pro. What do you have?
Lunchbox
I have $1,500.
Bobby Bones
Bobby, $1,500 to lunchbox. Eddie, now remember, you. You can change based on anything he says, right? Can you, Amy?
Amy
Oh, I thought we had it.
Eddie
I think it's more than he said.
Bobby Bones
1500. Yep.
Eddie
I'm gonna go $1,800.
Bobby Bones
Amy, over to you.
Amy
I have $1,400.
Bobby Bones
The price is $1,599. Lunchbox is the winner. Come on up on the stage. Okay, good, good.
Amy
Okay, so I could also just said $1?
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And you can also go like $1 over him.
Eddie
Yeah, we're getting it.
Amy
Okay, a little rusty.
Bobby Bones
Let's go to our third item as we prepare Lunchbox for Price is Right. Ray Ban meta glasses. Hey, maybe you've seen those on me before. Those are cool as I've worn them in studio a couple of times. They combine iconic Hollywood style with meta AI. These AI glasses let you react to what you see. Take pictures, videos. Listen on the go, the Ray Ban meta glasses. What do you have there, Eddie? You'll go first on this one.
Eddie
This is really hard.
Bobby Bones
Now, you see up here, these little cameras in them.
Eddie
I have no idea either.
Bobby Bones
I've never seen these except for on Bobby's face.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Everybody good?
Bobby Bones
You'll go first. The Ray Ban meta glasses. What do you have, Bones?
Eddie
Put me down for $450.
Bobby Bones
$450. Put them in there. Amy, over to you. Okay.
Amy
What is Lunchbox gonna do? I don't know, so I guess I'll just go $451.
Bobby Bones
$451. Lunchbox over to you.
Lunchbox
I'll go $452.
Amy
Bob.
Bobby Bones
$452. The price of the Ray Ban Meta Glasses is 2.99. Everybody went over. They're only 299 more than that. They're more. If you have to get a prescription, put in Them. Oh, that's why probably you thought no.
Eddie
Not because you've talked.
Lunchbox
That's not what you thought.
Bobby Bones
I've not talked about it like that.
Lunchbox
We had no idea.
Bobby Bones
Right. Now, what's the score? One Eddie, one lunchbox. Correct.
Eddie
So we all go over. It's worm.
Bobby Bones
Usually it's the first one to get two right is the winner next up? Oh, who likes washing dishes?
Eddie
Nobody.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Who likes to have somebody else in the house wash dishes? This is for you. What we have is a whirlpool quiet dishwasher. And if you open it, it has a third rack. Clean dishes with a 51 DBA quiet dishwasher. A third rack lets you load hard to fit utensils to free up more space while the fingerprint resistant finish resists smudges. And it's easy to clean on the outside as it cleans on the inside. How much for the whirlpool quiet dishwasher with a third rack? Amy, we're going to you first.
Amy
$552.
Bobby Bones
$552 lunchbox man.
Lunchbox
The smudge free really sold me. 1150.
Bobby Bones
Oh, 1000. Wow. Doubled Amy up.
Eddie
Eddie, I'm gonna go $553.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
The price is $528.
Eddie
Oh, Amy.
Bobby Bones
Still got it. Eddie, I don't think you know how to play this game because if you're close but you're under, just go $1.
Eddie
I know. Well, I thought it was gonna be in between. I really didn't think.
Lunchbox
I thought she.
Bobby Bones
A thousand.
Amy
No, I didn't.
Bobby Bones
What'd you do?
Lunchbox
1,000.
Bobby Bones
What did you say?
Amy
552.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
So I went $1 above her.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Eddie
I was trying to get in between.
Bobby Bones
Got it. Got it. I'm forgetting who's saying what. Okay. It's our first job hosting. I'm sorry.
Lunchbox
And we don't have little light up screens like they do on the price is Right. It's a little bit easier.
Bobby Bones
All right, let's do another one this tough. Who likes to exercise? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Kind of. This is a nordic Track treadmill. The X24 model is paired with iFit, allowing you to immerse yourself in stunning workouts around the world on its 24 inch touchscreen. Looking for the actual retail price of the NordicTrack treadmill. This time I think we go to lunchbox first.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I could be wrong because I've been wrong about a lot of things so far.
Lunchbox
You're doing a great job hosting this game.
Bobby Bones
Thank you very much.
Lunchbox
I mean, I. I've never bought something like this.
Eddie
Neither have I. I'm gonna go.
Bobby Bones
Man.
Lunchbox
Did you say you could connect to classes around the room or just look at scenes from around them, allowing you.
Bobby Bones
To immerse yourself in stunning workouts around the world.
Eddie
World, man, not just the room.
Bobby Bones
It would suck if the screen only showed you pictures of your room.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah, I did say room. I'm an idiot. Give me 925.
Bobby Bones
All right, put them in 925.
Eddie
Eddie, it's gonna be more than that. So give me. Give me a thousand dollars.
Bobby Bones
$1,000. Amy.
Amy
Remind me what lunchbox said?
Bobby Bones
25 over on his screen. He said no, 900.
Amy
Okay. And Eddie said a thousand. One thousand. One.
Bobby Bones
He said $1,001, but please don't be 8.50.
Eddie
She got me.
Bobby Bones
The price of the Nordic Track treadmill is $4,299. Amy gets that point.
Amy
Wow, that is a fancy one.
Eddie
Dang it. It's got to be the pictures from around the world.
Bobby Bones
Thinking of the ones that show you just pictures of your own room. Yeah, that would be the cheap one. Yeah, I'll tight it one. Oh, hey, whoever gets the next one is the winner.
Eddie
Let's go.
Bobby Bones
And we may send you inside a lunchbox. Yes. All right, next up, the Apple Watch 11.
Amy
What model are we on?
Bobby Bones
11. That's why it's called the Apple Watch 11.
Amy
I didn't know this was, like, the cheaper version, though.
Lunchbox
The 11.
Bobby Bones
Yes. It offers all day battery life around 24 hours, new health features like sleep score tracking and hypertension notifications, and the inclusion of 5G cellular connectivity for standalone use. The Apple Watch 11, what is your price? And I believe we go to Eddie first on this one.
Lunchbox
Oh, man, this tough.
Eddie
All right, I'm in. Eddie put me in for $300. 99.
Bobby Bones
No.
Eddie
$399.
Bobby Bones
Sensor dollars.
Eddie
$399.
Bobby Bones
Hey, Amy. 3.
Amy
91. It's more than that.
Eddie
It's got to be way more than.
Bobby Bones
Do you know what. What version it is?
Amy
11.
Bobby Bones
11. Yes.
Lunchbox
Man, that's tough.
Amy
Whatever I do, Lunchbox is gonna.
Lunchbox
You have no idea what I'm gonna do.
Amy
3.99. Okay, I'll go. I'll go. 4.99.
Bobby Bones
4.99. Locker in there. Lunchbox, over to you.
Lunchbox
Yeah, man. I've never looked one of these up. Never in my life. But it can't be as much as the phone, right? Phone is about a G. Has to be somewhere between there.
Bobby Bones
But is it more than 3?
Lunchbox
It has to be more than 3.99. And Amy, you said 4.99. So Bobby, give me $500.
Bobby Bones
Going to $1. Hey Ray, do you have any kind of special alarm?
Lunchbox
Exactly right. They win a hundred dollars or a thousand dollars.
Bobby Bones
So somebody got it exactly right.
Snax from Trapped Nerds
No way.
Lunchbox
It has to be one of them too because.
Bobby Bones
Meaning you hit it right on the no.
Amy
4 99.
Bobby Bones
It doesn't have to be.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Yeah, it does.
Amy
Because most places that's marketing. Yes, they don't think they're spending 500.
Nicole Garcia
But they basically are.
Eddie
You don't know about marketing.
Bobby Bones
Let's hear what Ray has found in one second of asking. Ray, give us some sort of crazy alarm. Okay, fair enough.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Okay.
Eddie
I feel like I gotta wake up now.
Bobby Bones
Somebody just won an extra thousand dollars.
Eddie
Oh no.
Bobby Bones
And nailed it right on the dot. The Apple Watch 11 actual retail price.
Lunchbox
3, 3, 4.99something 99.3.99. Come on down.

It was a huge honor to become a television writer because it does feel oddly like very traditional and feels like Bob Dylan going electric that this is something we've been doing for like hundreds of years. You carry with you a sense of purpose and confidence.
Nicole Garcia
That's Ciara Teller Ornelas who with Rutherford Falls became the first Native showrunner in television history. On the podcast Burn Sage Burn Bridges we explore her story along with other Native stories such as the creation of the first Native Comic Con or the importance of reservation basketball. Every day, Native people are striving to keep traditions alive while navigating the modern world, influencing and bringing our culture into the mainstream. Listen to Burn Sage, Burn bridges on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Bobby Bones
All right, hit me with the Price is Right music. Close enough. Okay, so Lunchbox next week is going to go and try to get on prices. Right now I'm standing on the street stage in our studio. There's a big wall behind me. On the wall, I'm going to put up products. We're going to see between Amy, Lunchbox and Eddie, who is actually the best at getting the closest without going over. Wow, this is awesome. Okay, up first. Because if Lunchbox gets the old come on down, he's got to be able to do this. If he can't win this room, he's not going to win that room. Right, up first. Hey. Ooh. That is a modern wood foosball table from Crate and Barrel. Updated with a modern look, this foosball table offers all ages of fun and a fast paced favorite game for your room. Your game room, your finished basement. It's a modern wood foosball table from Crate and Barrel. How much is it? Write your answers down and we'll shift around so there's, you know, give everybody a different advantage.
Eddie
I'm in.
Bobby Bones
I'm in the brown, got black handles. Looks pretty sleek. Amy, I'm go to you first. What do you have?
Amy
$2,000.
Bobby Bones
She said $2,000. Locker in a $2,000 right there with a ding or something. There it is. Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Man, that is some beautiful wood.
Bobby Bones
It's beautiful.
Lunchbox
And you said Crate and Barrel. Give me twelve hundred dollars.
Bobby Bones
He's in for twelve hundred dollars.
Eddie
Now, Eddie, that's a very nice table, but I didn't go as high as these guys. Put me down for $901.
Bobby Bones
$901.
Lunchbox
Okay, like the one you were thinking. Someone's going 900.
Eddie
Thank you.
Bobby Bones
With the retail price of $1,199. Eddie.
Lunchbox
$1.
Bobby Bones
Everybody went over. You two went over.
Eddie
You guys went over by $1. That's.
Bobby Bones
You still went up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You still went over.
Eddie
You went over by $1.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he said 2000.
Amy
That's from Cranberry outlet.
Eddie
No, wait.
Bobby Bones
Well, you said 2000. 1200 is $1.
Lunchbox
That's what I put. Oh, you did?
Bobby Bones
What'd you say?
Amy
Oh, I said 2000.
Bobby Bones
Okay, got it. Oh, Eddie, you're up one point. Let's go, baby. This time, Lunchbox goes first. Eddie, by the way, if you're gonna go lower than them, you should have gone just $1.
Eddie
All right, I didn't think about that.
Bobby Bones
Because you can change it.
Eddie
Oh, I can change. I'm not locked in when I say.
Bobby Bones
Because you're listening to them.
Eddie
Got it?
Caller Melody
Yeah.
Lunchbox
On contestant row. You don't have to write it down.
Eddie
Good point.
Bobby Bones
Okay, number two up on the screen here. Everybody needs a computer, right, guys? Yeah. Look at that. Sleek 14 inch MacBook Pro. Apple's portable powerhouse laptop. Featuring a stunning Liquid Retina XDR display, powerful Apple M4 chip, long battery life, and a selection of fast ports. How much is it? Price is right, guys, Lunchbox coming to you first this time.
Lunchbox
Yep.
Bobby Bones
It's a 14 inch MacBook Pro. What do you have?
Lunchbox
I have $1,500.
Bobby Bones
Bobby, $1,500 to lunchbox. Eddie, now remember, you. You can change based on anything he says, right? Can you, Amy?
Amy
Oh, I thought we had a. I.
Eddie
Think it's more than he said.
Bobby Bones
1500. Yep.
Eddie
I'm gonna go $1,800.
Bobby Bones
Amy, over to you.
Amy
I have $1,400.
Bobby Bones
The price is 1,000.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Come on.
Bobby Bones
$599. Lunchbox is the winner. Come on up to the stage.
Nicole Garcia
Okay, good, good.
Amy
Okay, so I could also just said $1?
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And you could also go like $1 over him.
Eddie
Yeah, we're getting it.
Amy
Okay, you're a little rusty.
Bobby Bones
Let's go to our third item as we prepare Lunchbox for prices.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Right.
Bobby Bones
Ray Ban meta glasses. Hey, maybe you've seen those on me before. Those are cool as I've worn them in studio a couple of times. They combine iconic Hollywood style with meta AI. These AI glasses let you react to what you see. Take pictures, videos. Listen, on the go, the Ray Ban meta glasses. What do you have there? Eddie, you'll go first on this one.
Eddie
This is really hard.
Bobby Bones
Now, you see up here, these little cameras in them. I have no idea either. I've never seen these.
Eddie
I'm in.
Lunchbox
Except for on Bobby's face.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Everybody good?
Bobby Bones
You'll go first. The Ray Ban meta glasses. What do you have, Bones?
Eddie
Put me down for 450.
Bobby Bones
450. Put them in there. Amy, over to you.
Amy
Okay, what is Lunchbox gonna do? I don't know, so I guess I'll just go $451.451 lunchbox over to you.
Lunchbox
I'll go $452.
Amy
Bob.
Bobby Bones
$452. The price of the Ray Ban Meta Glasses is 299.
Eddie
Everybody went over, oh, I thought they're.
Amy
Only $299 more than that.
Bobby Bones
They're more if you have to get a prescription put in them. Oh, that's why.
Eddie
Probably.
Bobby Bones
Which you thought.
Eddie
No, not because you've talked.
Lunchbox
That's not what you thought.
Bobby Bones
I've not talked about it like that.
Lunchbox
We had no idea.
Bobby Bones
Right now, what's the score? One Eddie, one lunchbox. Correct.
Eddie
So if we all go over, it's worth bidding.
Bobby Bones
Usually it's the first one to get two right is the winner. Next up. Oh, who likes washing dishes?
Eddie
Nobody.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Who likes to have somebody else in the house wash dishes? This is for you. What we have is a whirlpool quiet dishwasher. And if you open it, it has a third rack clean dishes with a 51 DBA quiet dishwasher. A third rack lets you load hard to fit utensils to free up more space while the fingerprint resistant finish resists smudges. And it's easy to clean on the outside as it cleans on the inside. How much for the whirlpool quiet dishwasher with a third rack? Amy, we're going to you first.
Amy
$552.
Bobby Bones
$552. Lunchbox man.
Lunchbox
The smudge free really sold me $1150.
Bobby Bones
Oh, 1000. Wow. Doubled Amy up.
Eddie
Eddie, I'm gonna go $553.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
The price is $528.
Eddie
Oh, Amy.
Bobby Bones
Still got it. No.
Lunchbox
Nobody.
Bobby Bones
I don't think you know how to play this game. Because if you're close but you're under, just go $1. I know.
Eddie
Well, I thought it was gonna be in between. I really didn't think.
Bobby Bones
I thought a thousand.
Amy
No, I didn't.
Bobby Bones
What'd you do?
Lunchbox
1,000.
Bobby Bones
What did you say?
Amy
552.
Eddie
Okay, so I went $1 above her.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Eddie
I was trying to get in between.
Bobby Bones
Got it. Got it. I'm forgetting who's saying what. Okay. It's my first job hosting. I'm sorry.
Lunchbox
And we don't have little light up screens like they do on the price is right. It's a little bit easier.
Bobby Bones
All right, let's do another one who likes to exercise. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Kinda. This is a NordicTrack treadmill. The X24 model is paired with iFit, allowing you to immerse yourself in stunning workouts around the world on its 24 inch touchscreen. Looking for the actual retail price of the nordic track treadmill this time I think we go to Lunchbox first.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I could be wrong, because I've been wrong about a lot of things so far, man.
Lunchbox
You're doing a great job hosting this game.
Bobby Bones
Thank you very much.
Lunchbox
I mean, I. I've never bought something like this.
Eddie
Neither have I. I'm gonna go.
Nicole Garcia
Man.
Lunchbox
Did you say you can connect to classes around the room or just look at scenes from around the, Allowing you.
Bobby Bones
To immerse yourself in stunning workouts? Around the world.
Eddie
World, man, not just the room.
Bobby Bones
It would suck if the screen only showed you pictures of your room.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah, I did say room. I'm an idiot. Give me 925.
Bobby Bones
All right, put them in 925.
Eddie
Eddie, it's gonna be more than that. So give me. Give me a thousand dollars.
Bobby Bones
$1,000. Amy.
Amy
Remind me what lunchbox said?
Bobby Bones
25. Over on his screen. He said, oh, 900.
Amy
Okay. And Eddie said a thousand. $1,001.
Bobby Bones
He said $1,001, but please don't be 850.
Eddie
She got me.
Bobby Bones
The price of the Nordic Track treadmill is $4,299. Amy gets a point.
Amy
Wow, that is a fancy one.
Lunchbox
Dang it.
Eddie
It's got to be the pictures from around the world.
Bobby Bones
Thinking of the ones that show you just pictures of your own room, that would be the cheap one.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Hey, whoever gets the next one is the winner.
Eddie
Let's go.
Bobby Bones
And we may send you inside a lunchbox.
Eddie
That'd be crazy.
Bobby Bones
Yes. All right, next up, the Apple Watch 11. No idea.
Amy
What model are we on now?
Bobby Bones
Well, the 11. That's why it's called the Apple Watch 11.
Ad Read Announcer
I know.
Amy
This is like the cheaper version, though, the 11.
Bobby Bones
Bobby Bones
All right, I'm in.
Eddie
Eddie put me in for 399.
Bobby Bones
No.
Eddie
$399 cents or dollars? $399, Amy.
Amy
399. It's more than that.
Eddie
It's got to be way more.
Bobby Bones
Do you know what what version it is?
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
11.
Bobby Bones
11.
Nicole Garcia
Yes.
Lunchbox
Man, that's tough.
Amy
Whatever I do. Lunch Fox is gonna.
Lunchbox
You have no idea what I'm gonna do.
Amy
3.99. Okay, I'll go. I'll go. $4.99.
Bobby Bones
499. Locker in there. Lunchbox, over to you.
Lunchbox
Yeah, man, I've never looked one of these up. Never in my life. But it can't be as much as the phone. Right? Phone is about a g. Has to be somewhere between there.
Bobby Bones
But is it more than three?
Lunchbox
It has to be more than 3.99. And Amy, you said 4.99, so Bobby, give me $500.
Bobby Bones
Going to $1. Hey, Ray, do you have any kind of special alarm?
Lunchbox
Oh, no. That was exactly right. They win a hundred dollars or a thousand dollars.
Bobby Bones
So somebody got it exactly right.
Snax from Trapped Nerds
No way.
Lunchbox
It has to be one of them too, because.
Bobby Bones
Meaning you hit it right on the nose.
Amy
4.99.
Lunchbox
It has to be a 99.
Bobby Bones
It's a 3.99.
Amy
No, 4.99.
Bobby Bones
It doesn't have to be.
Lunchbox
It does.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Yeah, it does.
Amy
Because most places. That's marketing.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Amy
They don't think they're spending 500, but they basically are.
Eddie
You don't know about marketing.
Bobby Bones
Let's hear what Ray. One second of asking Ray. Give us some sort of crazy alarm. Okay, fair enough.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Okay.
Eddie
Be like, I gotta wake up now.
Bobby Bones
Somebody just won an extra thousand dollars. No.
Lunchbox
Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
And nailed it. Right on the dot. The Apple Watch 11. Actual retail price.
Lunchbox
3, 3, 4. 99 something.
Bobby Bones
99.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
3.99.
Lunchbox
Come on down.
Bobby Bones
It's time for the good news with.
Amy
So I just want to shout out to a tattoo shop called Honor and Grace. They're in Savannah, Georgia, and they're helping breast cancer survivors get their confidence back. Now they'll go over scars with tattoos. They'll also do areola tattooing. Cuz women that have had breast reconstruction, like that's something that's lost and that gives them confidence back.
Bobby Bones
Like tattoo a skull on it or tattoo the color back on it.
Amy
No, they would tattoo like a nipple.
Eddie
Make it look normal.
Bobby Bones
Oh, got it. I was like. Like to see an eagle. Like.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Yes.
Amy
It's really amazing because they do like 3D shadowing and stuff because it's just flat, but it gives the vision and like the visual. And so women have their confidence back or if they've lost their eyebrows, they do permanent makeup tattooing. So they have artists that across the board stuff on these women and they see about three to four patients a week or survivors a week.
Bobby Bones
That's great. One of my TikTok algorithm things that feeds me now is this guy and he goes and he finds barbershop and he went and he was like, hey, I get a haircut. Because this one kid, he's like a new kid influencer Barber. He's 13 years old. And he's like, hey, how much for a haircut? And the kid's like, five bucks. He's like, I'm just trying to build up my clientele. He's like, great. And so he's asking him about, like, his shaving equipment and gear and stuff, and he's like, well, I got these. It's kind of the TEMU version of it. You guys know what TEMU is?
Eddie
No.
Bobby Bones
It's like, oh, the shop. The Chinese cheaper version of it. So if ever someone's like, oh, that's a TEMU version of Brad Pitt. It just is, like, not quite Brad Pitt, but, like, that's where that comes from. It's like that company. So it's like a less quality, but based on. Yeah. So the guy's like, oh, he gets a little haircut. And he's like, I do have favorite barber. And the kid lists, like, his favorite barber that he watches on Tick Tock. And so it keeps getting a haircut. And the guy's like, doing some texting or whatever. The kid's like, okay, be five bucks. Thank you for coming over. And he goes, cool. He hands it five bucks.
Eddie
I was here.
Bobby Bones
Why don't you have this too? And he gives him an envelope in the envelopes, because he does this all the time. This isn't like a one off. And the envelope, he's like, this is a doubt. This is a thousand dollars. Because, yeah, man, Like, I've been watching what you're doing. You don't have many followers, but I've been watching what you're doing, what you're doing. And, you know, I was once a kid like you who's just trying to make it in the haircut business. And so then he's like, I text my friend, and it's his friend that's that crazy haircutter, the one that has millions of followers. And so he gets him on FaceTime, and he's like, I'm gonna pay for you and your parents to go down and, like, spend some time. It was awesome. That's so. It reminds me of this. It reminds me of this in a way where. But, yeah, that's all on my algorithm now, haircutting. But, like, you're stuck now. But, like, positive haircutting. Yeah. I don't know how I got on that, but that's what I'm on now. But that's a great story with the tattoos. It's good. That's what it's all about.
Nicole Garcia
That was.
Bobby Bones
Tell me something good, Bones. I got three things on my mind. Number one, Jerry Jones, who is the.
Amy
Owner of the Cowboys, flipped off the jets fans.
Eddie
It was awesome.
Bobby Bones
And was fined $250,000, which is, like, nothing to him.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Yeah.
Amy
But still doesn't give you the right to just act like a child. That's pretty immature.
Bobby Bones
Or is it awesome?
Amy
Well, was he smiling when he did it, like. Or was he being, like, really perturbed?
Bobby Bones
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was fined $250,000 for giving new York jets fans the finger at the game last weekend. He claimed it was an accident. He meant to give the thumbs up to Dallas fans.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
But instead he gave the middle finger to. You know, there's a whole finger in the middle of those two, Jerry. It's not even just one finger. Finger away. So your thoughts, Amy?
Amy
Yeah. I'm not a big fan of the giving the finger at all, like, ever. So it's very unbecoming.
Bobby Bones
I'm gonna say I like it.
Amy
Why?
Bobby Bones
Because nobody got hurt. I like rivalries in sports. I like also like old guys doing funny things.
Eddie
It's like giving the finger. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's a completely different. Yeah. And nobody got into a fight. Like, I'm okay with it. Again, he got fined quarter million dollars.
Amy
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
This is Eddie's team, though.
Eddie
Oh, I love the Dallas Cowboys.
Bobby Bones
How do you feel?
Eddie
I think it's great. That's what I want my owner to do. Stick up for the team.
Bobby Bones
Flip off other fans.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Yes.
Eddie
I mean, people love to talk trash at these games and expect no one to do anything back. A finger. It's harmless. What is it? It's just a finger in your. On your hand.
Amy
So is that what you tell your kid next time he flips someone off?
Eddie
I don't know. We did talk about it as a family, and I said, guys, it's not good.
Bobby Bones
They did that.
Lunchbox
That.
Eddie
But it's kind of awesome. He.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Amy.
Bobby Bones
He flips him off and then realizes what he did on purpose. He was like, flip. And was like, oh. Thumbs up.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
There was also a clip of Baker Mayfield.
Eddie
Familiar.
Amy
Sounds like a football player.
Bobby Bones
Quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Amy
Yep.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Baker.
Bobby Bones
And so.
Amy
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Baker Mayfield. Y' all DM or something.
Bobby Bones
We used to. Then he made $100 million to stop DMing me.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
But.
Bobby Bones
But he was, like, talking garbage to a Seattle Seahawks fan in the tunnel in Seattle before the game, kind of misting anyway. Like, nothing real serious about it. But the fans jaunted him. He's jawing back, and they're going at it pretty good.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Just.
Bobby Bones
Just aggressively talking. And then after the game, after the bucks one, he went back and found the fan. I was like, how you like that after the game? That's awesome. Yeah, I like that. Nobody's getting into a fight. Fight. Yeah, I like that. Okay, that's number one on my list of things I've been thinking about. Number two, this sounds like something we do on this show. So I'm glad to read this because mostly to say that we didn't do this. A man is hospitalized after eating 6.6 pounds of gummies in three days. Gummy bears. Oh, gosh.
Eddie
That would definitely be a challenge.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that'd be something like, can we do it? Let's live stream it. Yeah. A 33 year old truck driver consumed a large quantity of gummy bears in a short period of time. He bought these. Haribo. Is that brand Haribo? Yeah, Haribo, whatever that is. On Amazon. Because he had a craving for some gummy candies and he consumed over 10,000 calories worth of gummies. Started experiencing serious physical symptoms. He was taken to the emergency with severe abdominal pain, sweating, high blood pressure, and cold sweat. So I like to say, let's not do this. Cool. This is a bit we won't do. We'll put it on the list of things not to do it. Consume six pounds of gummies in three days. Yeah, man. I would think dog would just get tired of the taste after a while.
Eddie
Yeah, I mean, it just gets hard to chew.
Bobby Bones
Or if you just get full, you just don't want to eat anything else. That would be the case.
Amy
I made the mistake of eating a lot of sugar free gummy bears, you know? Okay, my y' all don't know what would happen to you. No, my stomach was in knots. Like I was curled up in the fetal position. I remember I was at my sister's house. It was probably 2004. Like, that's how vivid this memory is. And I'm curled up in the fetal position because it was cramping up my stomach so bad. It could. Because whatever they put in sugar free stuff, it really tears up your stomach.
Bobby Bones
It's worse than sugar.
Nicole Garcia
Oh, yes.
Amy
But I was like thinking, oh, these are sugar free. Don't do it.
Bobby Bones
And finally, couples who make it past five years have a 70% chance to last more than 20 years. Now, if you're into stats, couples who celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary have roughly a 70% chance of staying together for 20 years or more. And those who make it to their 10th anniversary face only about a 1% chance of divorcing each year after that. So I mostly, I think that first five years of sin, if you actually really like the person or if they're going to be a cheater, they're probably doing the first two years anyway because that's who they are. And that usually happens in the first few years anyway. Thoughts? I just made that part. That's just my own personal theory.
Amy
Yeah.
Caller Melody
I don't know.
Amy
I was thinking I was married 17 years and. So we're the 1%.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
That's why it's a 1:30.
Amy
Oh, there was a 1%.
Bobby Bones
Well, it's 1% each year. So it's like compounding. But I'm saying couples who make it past five years, which you did, have a 70 chance to last more than 20 years. You're in that 30 that didn't quite make it. Look at you.
Eddie
And every year it goes up to one.
Bobby Bones
You get one every year after 10, there's only about a 1% chance of divorcing each year after that. So that also counts. Yeah, you really set the standard.
Caller Melody
Name.
Bobby Bones
You really broke barriers here.
Amy
Thanks.
Bobby Bones
You really proved them wrong, didn't you?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Show them. That's from the Office of National Statistics. Surviving the challenges of dealing with money pressures which happens in the first five years.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Partners adjusting to new routines and navigating major life changes like careers or starting a family. All usually within the first five years. If you can get through that, then they say you're kind of built to get through the other things. And even if they do happen, you have a history of getting through other hard things, which makes it easier to get through other hard things.
Eddie
Right. And those are all hard ones. Life changes, financial stuff.
Bobby Bones
What's the hardest one?
Eddie
The life changes.
Bobby Bones
Hey, we're not at five years yet. We're almost there, but we're not at five years yet.
Amy
Oh yeah, you're about to have a life change though.
Bobby Bones
Big time. I'm really holding on. We can get to that five year point. Bones.

Caller Melody
It was a huge honor to become a television writer because it does feel oddly like very traditional. It feels like Bob Dylan going electric. That this is something we've been doing for hundreds of years. You carry with you a sense of purpose and confidence.
Nicole Garcia
That's Ciara Teller Ornelas, who with Rutherford Falls became the first native showrunner in television history. On the podcast Burn Sage Burn Bridges, we explore her story along along with other native stories such as the creation of the first Native Comic Con or the importance of reservation basketball. Every day, Native people are striving to keep traditions alive while navigating the modern world, influencing and bringing our culture into the mainstream. Listen to Burn Sage, Burn bridges on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Bobby Bones
I am getting a lot of people asking, hey, can we send you a gift? Because my wife's pregnant and I keep going, no, no, no, we don't need anything. But now I feel like I'm doing a disservice by not allowing people to send gifts. This is the same problem that I had. We were getting married because I'm like, we don't need anything. Like financially we're good. And then the conversation was had with me was, hey, people are going to send you stuff, so you might as well give them an easy place to go get stuff to send. And one of my buddies was like, hey, I want to send you a box of pacifiers. And I think he might have been kidding. I think he just wanted to send me something. But now it's like, do we create a registry that's a non shower registry or do we have to have a shower to create a registry? Because I'd love to have a list just up that goes, hey, can we send you something? Yeah, here's a link. Is that weird?
Amy
I mean, most of the times people create the registry for the shower or the wedding. So I guess when it comes to the birth of a baby, yeah, sure. Have it just for like. It's like the birth is the wedding. You can just have it.
Bobby Bones
Okay. So I have something I'd like to put on the registry then.
Caller Melody
Okay.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
What?
Bobby Bones
So I saw this news story that 30 original Bob Ross paintings are going to be auctioned off. That's awesome. It has been my dream. Like, I have four things. 1, 2, 3, 4. I've never had a bucket list because I'm like, ah, I'll just go do stuff I want to do. I'm a single guy, no kids. That's not going to be true anymore. No. So I was just like. So the things I wanted to do were, I want to go take batting practice at Wrigley Field, which is where the Cubs play. I want to sleep in a train now, again, not like a hobo, but like in Europe or the.
Amy
Like in a sleeping cart.
Bobby Bones
The Express.
Eddie
The Polar Express.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Because like, in Europe, it looks all cool, like you're in a train. There's a bedroom. You're just going down. Whatever countries. I don't even know. I've never even been and seen one of those, but that would be one of my bucket listings. The next one is to be able to interview David Letterman. And my fourth one is to have a Bob Ross painting. And now that these Bob Ross paintings are going up for auction, why not? This should be on my baby registry. It could be the only thing.
Eddie
So how do we do that? Like, does somebody buy that for you?
Bobby Bones
Well, I think you could all chip in. Let me read you the story.
Eddie
Here we go.
Amy
No, it's gotta be. It's gonna be so expensive.
Bobby Bones
Maybe. Well, there's no rules on how much things cost on a register, from what I know.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Is there?
Eddie
No, no.
Lunchbox
You put what you want.
Bobby Bones
What do we max out at?
Amy
Well, you said we could all pitch in. So tell us, what is it?
Bobby Bones
So I saw the story. 30 original Bob Ross paintings. And Bob Ross is the guy back on the day in. The day in PBS had like the Afro, the white Afro, white guy Afro. And he would be on TV painting, and he'd be like, d. Look at the. He did landscapes, countryside, this. Yeah, he's awesome.
Eddie
You want to mix the white with the black here.
Bobby Bones
I would love to have a Bob Ross painting. And so these public television stations are struggling after all these federal budget, budget cuts. And so the 30 paintings featuring Ross's signature tranquil landscapes now all together are being valued at about $850,000. That's not one. And I'm sure some are more than others. He died in 1995. And this is what I want, so. And I think. And I think my future baby would love it, too.
Eddie
Oh, yeah, Absolutely.
Bobby Bones
I'd put it in the nursery.
Lunchbox
Oh, perfect.
Bobby Bones
But they're all not going to be the same. So you're going to do an average here. And I feel like that's unfair. Why? Well, because they're not all going to be that expensive. There could be a couple less than the average.
Amy
We need to average like a. How are.
Bobby Bones
Ballpark. I know. I just don't want the number set out loud.
Eddie
Okay, you know the number.
Amy
Okay. 850 divided by 850,000 divided by 30.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
On average, guys, we're looking at. At about $28,000.
Bobby Bones
Okay. And there's four of you. Five of you here in the room. All right, I think we can do this.
Eddie
That's not gonna work.
Bobby Bones
No, no.
Eddie
I mean, we're gonna have to do a GoFundMe or something.
Bobby Bones
It's my bucket list, though.
Amy
Divided by five.
Lunchbox
Yeah, that's.
Amy
So that's $5,600 each.
Bobby Bones
Okay, put Scuba Ray and Abby in there. Then do about eight.
Caller Melody
Okay.
Eddie
That'll help a little bit.
Lunchbox
Yep.
Amy
Divided by eight. Okay. 3, 500, guys.
Eddie
That's doable.
Bobby Bones
Yes, that's doable. No.
Eddie
What do you mean?
Bobby Bones
I'm not hitting up artists.
Eddie
These are the people here, the important people.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, your close friends say you're like ad Kickoff. Kevin.
Eddie
There we go.
Amy
Okay, hold on.
Bobby Bones
He's in the other room.
Amy
To your point, Gator, there might be one for 20,000. You know, like, one of them might be 20,000 divided by nine.
Lunchbox
Two.
Amy
$2,222.
Bobby Bones
And we're getting there now.
Lunchbox
We're almost there.
Bobby Bones
I've almost got a Bob Ross.
Eddie
And we don't know it's that expensive. That's the average. Could be cheaper.
Amy
Oh, I went cheaper. That was me going cheaper.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Yeah, because I.
Bobby Bones
Listen, I'm not allergic to a deal. So, guys, get. Get one of the.
Amy
Like a Bob Ross is a Bob Ross.
Bobby Bones
Amen.
Amy
You're not gonna be mad if we get you the cheaper.
Bobby Bones
Would it be weird if we did a registry and I did put stuff though that wasn't baby related?
Amy
Yes, yes, yes.
Bobby Bones
But weird doesn't mean wrong. Weird doesn't mean wrong. Would it be wrong?
Amy
No, I don't think it's wrong. I think it's weird.
Lunchbox
Yeah, because everybody needs stuff different to be a parent. Like, you may need something different than the next dad.
Amy
So would you consider hanging the Bob Ross in the nursery?
Bobby Bones
Absolutely.
Amy
Okay, well then now it is baby related.
Eddie
Check.
Bobby Bones
Whenever these go up, I'll be sure to take the link and send it over.
Amy
You'll be sure to send it to.
Bobby Bones
Us and we'll see how well we can. I mean, I deserve that, right?
Eddie
Yeah, dude, that'd be awesome. And then to find the episode that he painted in once we have the painting. That'd be so cool.
Bobby Bones
Okay, I feel pretty. Let me say it in advance. Thank you, guys.
Eddie
You're welcome.
Bobby Bones
Thank you for getting me involved.
Eddie
Somebody's gonna have to go to the auction though, right?
Bobby Bones
No, it's all online and they're putting it all different places. So they have all these paintings and again, these TV stations are going broke and so they're just going to sell them. It's basically PBS because that's where he painted. They have a bunch of them.
Amy
Bobby, you just lowballed us with the 850000 you did. You know it.
Eddie
You know it.
Amy
I just looked at it and it says there are 30 paintings that are estimated are worth 850, 000 together to 1.4 million.
Bobby Bones
You know me, I stop reading sometimes in the middle of a sentence.
Amy
So like now we're back up.
Eddie
We can't do that.
Bobby Bones
Can you guys be on the lookout though? Mike, can you be on the lookout for those paintings going up? Yeah, there's one now that I was looking at last night that's on the golden auction site with 11 days left. It was at like $20,000.
Eddie
That's not bad.
Lunchbox
It's not bad.
Bobby Bones
No, it's gonna go away.
Eddie
We can do that at least bid.
Lunchbox
We can.
Bobby Bones
It's gonna go way up. Okay. But thank you guys in advance. So I am appreciative. I'm looking forward to it. Man, I can't wait to have this baby. It's gonna have the greatest painting in.
Eddie
The nurse in this nursery.
Bobby Bones
So that's the first one I'm gonna do in my bucket list. When I do that one, I'll get the other three. I'll mark the other three off. Okay. Can I put shoes on there?
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Oh, here's one.
Eddie
Dad needs shoes.
Bobby Bones
We found one circa 1989 original Bob Ross painting. $39,000. Mike, how many days left in that auction?
Lunchbox
Let's see.
Bobby Bones
I think. Oh, it's ended. Yeah, it's ended.
Eddie
And it sold for 39,000.
Bobby Bones
Yep.
Eddie
And that's what we're talking about.
Amy
Seem low.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Hey. Okay.
Amy
That'S not what I'm saying.
Bobby Bones
Monopoly bags she got those dollar signs on the bags.
Amy
Hey, understand my perspective here. Yes. For us. Hi. We're not buying art like this. I would just think if there's. They're only selling off 30 Bob Ross's like, I don't know. He's iconic. I just thought they would go for more than that.
Eddie
He just probably has a lot of paintings, right?
Bobby Bones
He painted one every day on tv.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Eddie
And then they said that he would paint it first off camera and then recreate it on camera. So he's got double of each painting.
Bobby Bones
I didn't know that.
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
Every time.
Eddie
Yeah. That's why he. When he did it on camera, there was no edits. He would just do it because he'd already done it.
Bobby Bones
I did an AI of me as Bob Ross painting a Clint Black's gonna be on the next Bobby cast. And it's pretty funny. I'll put it up to the tease. Probably the next couple days, but okay.
Nicole Garcia
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I can't wait, guys. He did 1143 paintings.
Caller Melody
Wow.
Bobby Bones
So, yeah, really looking forward to that gift. And I don't know. I won't be disappointed if I get it. I will if I don't. Okay. Got it. Good luck, everybody. Lunchbox is going to Price is Right next week. He leaves Tuesday after the show.
Lunchbox
Yep, Tuesday after the show.
Bobby Bones
He's gonna be in line Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for three days trying to get into the show. So we have Kristen on who is in Texas. Hey, Kristen, you made it. You got on the show. You got to the showcase showdown.
Caller Melody
I did. I did. All the way to the third down. It was amazing.
Bobby Bones
So you got called out. What did that feel like? And did you know you were gonna call? Did you have the, like a feeling you might get called up?
Caller Melody
My husband thought we would, but it just. You're constantly waiting. And it wasn't until the second half of the show that I finally got called. And once you hear your name, I mean, your whole body just gets chilled and you just. You freak out. I mean, it's just instant and you're jumping. Everybody's cheering for you. High fiving you. You're. You don't know which way to go. You just run up to the stage and no, you can't go on the stage. You gotta go down on the bidders row and you line up and then all these cameras are on you. I mean, it is wild. It's so fun.
Bobby Bones
So how many did you have to do before you actually won the item to get up and play the game?
Caller Melody
I think it was two or three. The first one was the little hiker that goes up the mountain, and I didn't get that one. The next one, I can't remember, it was like a 50, 50 game or something. And it was a grill. It was a $3,000 grill. And I was the highest bidder, and I was still off by like $1,000 because who would have thought this girl was 3,000? So it was just. It was crazy to me that I even made it up on stage. And at that point, the game that we played next was, you know, which is a higher price item. Is it a sauna or is it a shower? And, you know, look out to the audience. And I swear they said, you know, one item. And I went with it. And it was wrong. And I couldn't believe it. I was so upset. Like, okay, well, we can still keep going. So we got to do the wheel. And I think that's like everybody's dream. You've got to spin the wheel. You got to spin the wheel. That's, you know, you've got to put your hands on it. Is it heavy? Is it, you know, what's it like? And it is. It's a little heavy, but it's. I mean, I think lunchbox would do amazing. You would probably have it go around at least like three times or four times, but yeah. So did the wheel and ended up being the closest to go and made it to showcase showdown.
Bobby Bones
What did you roll on the wheel? What number? Like, 95. 90.
Caller Melody
80.
Bobby Bones
Wow.
Caller Melody
80. And I was the first one to go.
Nicole Garcia
Yeah.
Caller Melody
So I had to, you know, debate. Do I want to try a little bit more? I had two people after me, so I stayed at 80, and it was very nerve wracking to see the other two go. And it worked. It landed.
Bobby Bones
So you go to the showcase showdown. It's you and somebody else. What happens there?
Caller Melody
He decides to. Did he pass? I think, yeah, he passed his showcase to me. And it was a car and travel and a game room, and you've got all the cameras on you, and so you're looking at all the prizes. And I forgot that it was also like big money week or something. So they add in $5,000 cash, and I couldn't see all the prizes that were there. And so because of all the cameras and I'm trying to calculate in my head, I look out to the aud, I see all these numbers thrown around. I wanted to say 32,000, but I went with 27,000. The other guy, he been on like a travel showcase and he Ended up being like $8,000 away from his, and I was about $10,000 away. So I lost. Yeah, yeah. But I wanted to call in and give tips on how to get on the show, because I know Lunchbox was talking about what he's going to wear and what he's going to do. And I don't know if you've heard any other tips about that.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, go ahead.
Caller Melody
They are interviewing you the whole entire time. We didn't have tickets for our show. We up for the 7:30 airing, the recording, and got there about 6:00 clock in the morning and stood in line. We're the first people in line. And then there was a whole line behind us of people that had tickets. What they do is they pick about the first 80% of the people that have tickets, and then they bring in everybody else who's been waiting that don't have tickets, and they start at the beginning of the line. So since we were the first ones, we got to go in. Well, while we're waiting outside of the studio, like on the street, I swear they're watching you. So we're making friends with everybody around us. We're talking so high personality. I think Lunchbox will do really great at this. He'll talk to everybody. Be lively, be yourself, be goofy, be energetic the whole time. And then once you're inside the gates, they're still watching you. And you don't speak with the producer for a while. But when you do get with the producer, they're going to ask you three questions. One is like, what's your favorite game? Another one is, where are you coming from? How did you get here? What's the purpose? And I think the third one was. Was, you know what. What are you hoping to get?
Bobby Bones
I don't.
Caller Melody
I can't remember the third, but those two were the big ones.
Bobby Bones
That's awesome. He's written all this down.
Eddie
It's a lot of stuff.
Bobby Bones
Oh, man. I got it. Thank you for the call.
Lunchbox
Be crazy.
Bobby Bones
We're gonna put. Oh, boy. Yeah. Thank you very much. And hopefully he gets on the show. Thank you. Thanks. Thanks for calling us. Sorry you didn't win. All right, now let's go over to Kurt in Cedar Rapids. Kurt, what's going on?
Lunchbox
So I was just listening. I listen to your show every morning, and I'm. I have to drive up here to meet with my dad, and you were talking about Lunchbox going out to Price, and everybody worried about whether he'd be able to broadcast live from out there. And I didn't nobody ever mentioned the time zone change. So he'll actually have to get his butt up like at 3 o' clock in the morning. If you guys are actually on at 6 on the east coast, right?
Bobby Bones
Yes. It's brutal. Whenever I was out there doing Dancing with the Stars, that's what I had to do. The Show Starting at 3 o' clock every day, it was terrible.
Lunchbox
Yeah. So I was kind of thinking, because nobody mentioned that, I was like, well, one o', clock he'll actually be able to get a nap in before he has to go to that one.
Bobby Bones
I, I think he needs to get there right as the doors or, or the lines open. Because most people have said they had to get there at 6am I would get there five, six hours early and then I would just have so much energy and be a bit undeniable. I mean, that would be what I would do.
Lunchbox
Yeah, well, that's the plan. Now that you guys have talked about this and I mean everybody's been talking about it, I will have to get in line early. I didn't realize that I wasn't, wasn't fully understanding the scope of the, the project. And now I know and I'm going to be there and I'm going to be working that line. I'm going to have items in my pocket and we're going to bid on them.
Eddie
What are you talking.
Bobby Bones
I wouldn't take anything in your pocket.
Amy
Like.
Eddie
Yeah, but like, what kind of.
Bobby Bones
Why would you take things in your pocket?
Lunchbox
Well, while we're waiting in line, I can tell people to like, I can pick three contestants and they can.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you want to set up your own mini games out there?
Eddie
Yeah, that was kind of fun.
Amy
I thought you meant like snacks.
Eddie
That's a good time killer.
Bobby Bones
Just playing three card Monty, ripping off all the people out there. All right, Right. Where's the dollar? Yeah, I don't think that's a terrible idea. That's fun, right? Yeah, but you can only put three items and I think everybody will then know pretty quickly. Right.
Lunchbox
Well, I was thinking I would bring like a grocery bag and be like, all right, you know, this box of whatever, granola bars, like, let's start the bidding and like how much you bid. Oh, you're the winner. Come on down.
Bobby Bones
That's not, that's not a bad idea. I mean, I just like to set up a mini game show out there.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
A guy in a tuxedo doing mini game shows. I think there's something to that. If you don't get on, I'm gonna.
Lunchbox
Be disappointed in myself.
Bobby Bones
No, I hear you.
Lunchbox
Am I a failure?
Bobby Bones
If you don't get on, I think it's only because they will be scared of you.
Amy
Oh. Like it's unpredictable.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Because I think there's a fine line. You should have high energy. I think the game is good. Dress up. It's just if you're like too volatile feeling, I think they, they may pull back, but I think you're the perfect contestant. Yeah, they're probably only gonna have like a couple white guys. So you got to win the white guy group, the white male group. Oh, that's true. Because they're gonna have some old people, they're gonna have somebody that's black, they're gonna have somebody that's probably Asian. They have a white guy, they're gonna have young. Like you gotta meet that. So when you see other white guys, go talk bad about under the producers, be like, I heard that guy's up to some no good stuff. Okay, maybe you should fact check that guy. Or no background check that guy.
Lunchbox
And then I'm also worried. What if they. This is my biggest fear.
Bobby Bones
Fear is if they wait until the.
Lunchbox
Very end to call me down to contestant row and I only get one chance to bid.
Bobby Bones
You heard the song.
Lunchbox
Oh, that's only. That's just like heart crushing.
Bobby Bones
No, you know the song.
Caller Melody
What?
Bobby Bones
You only get one, one shot, one opportunity.
Eddie
You know all the words.
Bobby Bones
So if you get it, you just gotta take advantage of it. Your fear shouldn't be that you get on and get a shot. Your fear should be you don't get a shot.
Lunchbox
Oh yeah, that's true too.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Doesn't that roll over though? Like if you make it, doesn't roll over to the next show. Like you don't stand.
Lunchbox
No, no, you're out, dude.
Bobby Bones
Also, if you can't come back for 10 years, I don't think you can come back for the next day or the next day.
Lunchbox
Right.
Bobby Bones
So if you make it down and then you don't get on the show. Yeah, it's over Thursday and Friday. You don't go. Maybe just go sit in the audience.
Eddie
Cuz you're on vacation anyway.
Lunchbox
No, no, I'm not on vacation.
Bobby Bones
It kind of is. You kind of swindle this.
Lunchbox
What do you mean? You guys said, I never do anything. You say I never do this. And so I was like, okay, you know what, I'll show you.
Amy
And if he gets up and goes to the studio in the morning, it's worth work.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah. Here. Yeah, but we Never agreed for three days. That was just kind of something thrown in the mix that he's gonna stay out there for three days. Wouldn't you agree with that?
Amy
Yeah. When does he fly back exactly?
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Saturday.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
The vacation.
Bobby Bones
It's time for the good news with producer Eddie.
Eddie
Dylan Garcia is a marketing student at lsu, and he's making people happy because he. He's hiding cash all over campus and putting it on Instagram with just kind of hints. And he does a video of like, oh, I'm gonna put the cash on the statue of the tiger. And then he shows where it's at, and then he sits back and watches people just run to the tiger to find the cash.
Bobby Bones
That ain't a hint.
Eddie
Well, it kind of just tells you where it is.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
Yeah.
Amy
It's like, well, maybe he doesn't say, this is exactly where the tiger is.
Bobby Bones
Well, there's one big tiger statue on campus. No, I get it.
Eddie
And he'll do Porto potties. He'll do, like, all kinds of places. But it's really cool because it started with just friends, and now he has sponsorships, so now we can give more money, gift cards, and all kinds of things. People around campus are really happy we're.
Amy
In the Porta Potty.
Bobby Bones
Hold handle. Yeah, I know. What'd you call it? Porto Potty. What?
Eddie
Porto Potty.
Bobby Bones
What? Porto Potty. What do you call it?
Amy
Porta Potty. Like portable Porter.
Eddie
She says porter.
Amy
I say porter Potty.
Bobby Bones
I say porta.
Lunchbox
Porta Potty.
Bobby Bones
So it's I.
Amy
And again, y' all are right. It's got to be Porta because portable.
Bobby Bones
I'm not fighting for my mind. I'm just saying Eddie said porto.
Eddie
Porto.
Bobby Bones
That sounds like a sandwich place. Amy said porter. Yeah, that sounds like the last name of somebody. I don't know. If porta is right, it's got to be Porta Porta. Okay, here we go.
Amy
Porter Potty.
Bobby Bones
Porta Potty with an A is the brand name of a specific line of portable toilets. Wow. So that would be a brand.
Lunchbox
Porter.
Bobby Bones
I. I don't ever see. I don't see Porter potties anywhere.
Amy
I know. I think it's just the way it rolls off my tongue.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
What about porto?
Bobby Bones
That sounds almost like an Italian food as well.
Eddie
Two porters.
Bobby Bones
I'll take two portos.
Amy
Or like, a port down in Texas.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
All right.
Bobby Bones
There you go. That's what it's all about.
Nicole Garcia
That was.
Bobby Bones
Tell me something good. Wake up, wake up in the morning habit Trying to put you through m Riding this wigs next bit. Now Bobby's on the mic, so you know what this is? This is the Bobby. We have 90 seconds to figure out as many of Amy's corny jokes as possible. Amy, are you ready?
Amy
Ready.
Bobby Bones
It's time for the investigative morning Corny.
Lunchbox
The morning Corny.
Amy
What's a guitar player favorite dairy product?
Eddie
Dairy.
Lunchbox
Milk.
Eddie
Yogurt. Guitar string solo.
Lunchbox
String cheese.
Amy
String cheese.
Dr. Elizabeth Poynter
That's it.
Amy
What musical keys do cows sing in?
Bobby Bones
G. Hey, hey.
Amy
What musical key.
Bobby Bones
Of hey.
Eddie
The key of ghee.
Lunchbox
Milky key.
Eddie
Oh, Milk key.
Lunchbox
Milk key.
Eddie
No, no, there's gotta be something there. Dairy key.
Lunchbox
Utter key.
Eddie
Musical.
Bobby Bones
Okay, what are keys?
Lunchbox
Tiger key.
Eddie
Lion key.
Bobby Bones
Okay, okay, let's go back to musical keys.
Lunchbox
What are the house key.
Amy
What musical key to cow sing in?
Bobby Bones
Okay, how about a. You can be. You can be flat. A flat beef. Flat beef. Flat beef.
Caller Melody
Flat.
Bobby Bones
That's it.
Ad Read Announcer
Yeah.
Amy
What part of a turkey is musical?
Eddie
Gobble, gobble, gobble.
Bobby Bones
The.
Eddie
The gobble what?
Bobby Bones
The breast.
Amy
What part of a turkey is musical?
Bobby Bones
The wing.
Eddie
Turkey leg.
Bobby Bones
The guitar.
Eddie
The turkey.
Lunchbox
Throat.
Eddie
Gobble.
Caller Melody
Beat.
Lunchbox
Neck.
Bobby Bones
The bass. The piano. The drumstick. The drum.
Amy
Drumstick.
Eddie
Good job, dude.
Bobby Bones
You're on a roll.
Amy
What do you call clean music?
Eddie
Clean music.
Bobby Bones
Windex.
Lunchbox
Sheet music.
Eddie
Disinfectant.
Bobby Bones
Clean music.
Lunchbox
Bleach.
Eddie
It's got to be a genre, huh? Like a pop rock.
Bobby Bones
What do you call clean music?
Lunchbox
Christian music.
Amy
What is it, A soap opera?
Bobby Bones
Okay. That works.
Amy
Oh, I mean, y' all got string cheese. Be flat and drumstick.
Eddie
I think Bobby got them all.
Bobby Bones
No, I didn't get string cheese.
Amy
Lunchbox did.
Eddie
Good job, guys.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, and. Yeah, whatever. It's only three, though.
Eddie
I know. It felt like we got more.
Lunchbox
I feel like we got a lot more.
Bobby Bones
We're struggling. That's a fight, Bobby.
Lunchbox
Bones.
Bobby Bones
Bonehead story of the day.
Lunchbox
This story comes to us from rhode Island. A 42 year old woman got pulled over for DUI. Gets arrested, cuffed and stuff. Taken to jail. Two hours later her husband shows up to pick her up from jail and he gets charged with dui.
Amy
That's.
Bobby Bones
I felt that was coming perfect for each other. Well, they found, you know, they had similar interests. Driving drunk.
Amy
Maybe they can get help together.
Bobby Bones
They're meant for each other. Yeah. Okay.
Lunchbox
I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.
Bobby Bones
Bones. There's a company that's paying people $666 to watch horror films. And Mike D. Has submitted his name to get this money signed up. So what's the. What is it all you have to do is watch five horror movies and basically review them. Does it say which five? No, you can watch any five. I think it's from their service. So it's kind of like a promo thing they're doing. So it's like. That's a pretty good little PR move. Yeah, they have like a service that has all horror movies. So they just want you to watch him. Tell them what you think about him. It's funny that it's $666.
Eddie
Oh, I didn't catch that.
Bobby Bones
Dang.
Eddie
666.
Bobby Bones
Cuz I don't think if they were doing $100 and make the news. No, it's a little creepy. You know, we started to watch this show on Netflix we're one episode in, I think it is called. It's about a school in Tall Pines.
Amy
Oh, wayward.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah. I don't know how I feel about it cuz I don't like scary stuff. And it's in the middle of kind of scary because they play ominous music.
Eddie
Like mysterious.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, kinda.
Amy
So I started it too and I will say that I thought it was gonna be scarier than it good is.
Bobby Bones
I don't want it to be scary.
Amy
Yeah, it's.
Bobby Bones
I wanna be thrilled, not scared.
Eddie
It's a difference for sure.
Bobby Bones
I watch a thriller all day long. I don't wanna see monsters. I don't mind zombies. I don't like monsters. I don't like jump scares. I think that's what it comes down to. I don't like jump scares.
Amy
No jump scare.
Bobby Bones
How many episodes have you watched? Watched?
Amy
I guess two maybe. And really it's the very first part of the first episode that makes you think it's going to be scary.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, because of the scary music.
Amy
Yeah, you're right, it's ominous. But then you, once you get the idea of what's happening, you're like, okay.
Bobby Bones
That show is a. And I only. I've only seen one episode. So I can just give you a very broad stroke of what the show is about. It's basically about a boarding school they send kids to that are trouble and something's happening at the school that's weird. Oh, would that be accurate? Yeah, I can't really spoil anything cuz I don't know anything.
Amy
Yeah, that's accurate.
Bobby Bones
The main woman we were trying to figure out we knew her from. She was the attorney in Juror number two.
Amy
Juror number two? What's that?
Bobby Bones
A movie.
Eddie
Oh, I like how Amy was trying to figure it out.
Lunchbox
Like Juror Number two.
Amy
But we know her from something else too.
Bobby Bones
Maybe her name's Toni Collette. And I didn't know what I knew her from. And so my wife and I went through the whole thing and she was like the main attorney and juror number two too. What else? She was in a horror movie called Hereditary. I didn't watch that. United States of Terror back in the day. Australian, I believe.
Amy
Interesting.
Bobby Bones
She's very familiar looking.
Amy
Yes, very.
Bobby Bones
Any TV shows? Because she's so familiar. Like it says, a little miss sunshine. But that was 2006. I don't even know what her thing would have been. Anyway, we're in it. There's no review, but that's what's up. And Mike's trying to make the money of the devil to watch shows.
Eddie
Yeah, that's risky, Mike.
Bobby Bones
Hey, money's money. That's it. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Have a good day, everybody.
