Bobby Bones
Come on, Bobby. Transmitting across America. Welcome to Thursday's show, Morning Studio. Morning. A teenager is in custody after a multi million dollar hack of a Las Vegas casino.
Eddie
This is. Okay, you remember when this happened? We were in Vegas.
Bobby Bones
So baller of a teenager. Yeah, I remember. Because they shut down. Our curtains broke.
Eddie
That's it.
Bobby Bones
They wouldn't close. They shut the casino down. Yeah. The alleged hack happened in 2023. The name of the group was Scattered Spider or Octo Tempest. Those are cool names. The teen is said to have used LinkedIn to impersonate the MGM grand employee and then called and basically got through on the phone. And he was given access to the system because he was like, yeah, I don't know. I'm Clark. Because he used LinkedIn to know the information about Clark.
Amy
Wow.
Bobby Bones
Las Vegas Police Department said the incident cost multiple casino properties hundreds of millions of dollars and gave hackers access to internal systems. Now, a male teen could end up being charged as an adult.
Eddie
Was that last year?
Bobby Bones
2023.
Eddie
So two years ago.
Bobby Bones
Wow. SF gate with that story. I don't know who he sold the information to or how he got in, but we. We all thought it was like Russian hackers. No, we did because it was so sophisticated and it shut down so many casinos. And then once they got in, they were threatening other casinos. And one of the casinos, I think ended up paying like ahead of time to not get hacked. And it all got in because somebody got information from a LinkedIn and called and said, yeah, I know Chuck. I am Chuck. Let me win.
Eddie
And it was dumb stuff. I remember like the. The car, the key card wouldn't work. And then it's like, sorry, we got hacked. Like, we can't.
Bobby Bones
What?
Amy
Yeah, the.
Eddie
Your curtains can't close.
Bobby Bones
It shut down, like four casinos. People are opening shared bank accounts with their friends. That sounds like what. That sounds like a lot of friendships that are possibly going to end soon because somebody's gonna be taking out a little too much money.
Amy
But it's to, like, save up for something they want to do together. Right?
Bobby Bones
So sort of, yeah. They talked about this one couple. They saved over a thousand bucks for a future friendship anniversary trip. I got a feeling one of those friends probably gonna come into hard times. Can take a little extra out. Yep. Can't pay it back on time. We Agreed not to do this. Fight amongst friends. Videos of the trend have gone viral. It's financial intimacy with your friends. Can you imagine if I had a bank account with Eddie?
Eddie
No, I mean any of us, like, can you imagine if we all had one and Lunchbox had access?
Amy
Set one up tomorrow. Yeah, well, obviously only Bobby would have access to. Cuz you'd be putting in the most.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, no, we're not putting in it based on what we have. We have to put in ear.
Lunchbox
Let's do. Awesome. Yes.
Bobby Bones
Get out of your mind.
Amy
No, you do a percentage. No, we don't do a percentage based on what you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Eddie
Let's give it a shot.
Bobby Bones
NBC News. I had Dave Ramsey on the Bobby Cast that comes out next week. And I asked him about marriages that don't do shared accounts. And he was like, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If you don't do a shared account. He's like, you're asking for your marriage to fail miserably.
Amy
Who does that?
Eddie
Yeah, I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Well, I share. My wife and I have all shared accounts.
Eddie
Yeah, same.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, we're shared. What about you guys?
Lunchbox
No, no, not gonna happen.
Bobby Bones
Keep it all separate.
Lunchbox
Separate. That way there's no fighting over money. No disagreements.
Amy
But there's got to be occasion about money where it gets.
Bobby Bones
Well, the disagreement on who's gonna pay for what, then. That would be a disagreement.
Lunchbox
No, it's. Hey, let's talk about it. What percentage did you pay? What percentage should I pay?
Bobby Bones
But could you not do. Let's talk about it. If you're in the same account. No.
Lunchbox
Cuz then you just go in and grab money. Like, oh, she wants to go buy a new dress. She done to talk to me about it. Go spend your money, girl.
Eddie
Girl.
Amy
What about when y'.
Bobby Bones
All.
Amy
I get confused about this, but, like, what if y'. All. What about when y' all go on a trip or.
Lunchbox
That's good percentage.
Bobby Bones
You pay percentages on vacations?
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I don't know.
Eddie
What if it's like a.
Bobby Bones
Like a. I don't like it.
Eddie
Bath towels that you both use. Like, who buys those?
Lunchbox
She'll pay more percentage because she wants them. I don't really care.
Bobby Bones
So even on small purchases, you do percentages?
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Amy
Like now he's saying the percentage might go up if you want it more than the other person.
Lunchbox
Right.
Eddie
See, that's where the fight comes in.
Lunchbox
I'm happy with the battles we have. You want new battles, you pay more. Okay, I'll Compromise. But.
Bobby Bones
But that's. That would be a fight.
Lunchbox
That's not a fight. That's just discussion. But it's all negotiation.
Amy
What about during the season where she. I mean, I don't know her work situation right now, but I know there was a season where she wasn't working.
Lunchbox
She was on maternity leave.
Amy
Okay.
Eddie
And you can't touch her food. Like, if she buys chips.
Lunchbox
Oh, no, no, no. Food is groceries.
Caller
We.
Lunchbox
We do that. We pay together.
Amy
Is there a percentage?
Lunchbox
But it's not like, oh, you only paid 12. You can't have that yogurt.
Bobby Bones
But is there a percentage on groceries? Yes, but what if you eat all of one thing that she likes?
Lunchbox
That's fine.
Amy
Okay, the math is nothing on that one.
Lunchbox
What do you mean?
Amy
Well, because you could.
Lunchbox
You don't own the groceries. They're for everybody. She paid. Kids don't pay for them, and they get to eat their kids.
Bobby Bones
They're counting on you to buy their food.
Amy
It's just like, I don't know how. Okay, you probably eat way more than she does, so hopefully you factor that in.
Eddie
Oh, good.
Bobby Bones
Good.
Eddie
No.
Bobby Bones
What?
Lunchbox
Yeah, my kids probably eat more than she does. We don't factor that in.
Bobby Bones
They can't pay. They don't have jobs. They aren't allowed to work. They're children.
Lunchbox
You're right. That's a good point.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. But if you eat more than her, should you have to pay more than her?
Lunchbox
No.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
Also, I mean, she carried the children, delivered them. Like, you should pay her for that.
Bobby Bones
Do you. Did you compensate her for carrying your children?
Lunchbox
I allowed her to have the children.
Bobby Bones
She should pay you.
Lunchbox
I mean, she couldn't. Got pregnant without me.
Bobby Bones
She could have. Yeah, she definitely could have.
Lunchbox
So, I mean, but Amy saying she carried the babies, well, guess who provided those babies?
Bobby Bones
Well, I'm like, you provided them?
Eddie
What are you talking.
Amy
Who wanted them more?
Lunchbox
I mean, they. Without me, she wouldn't have been pregnant.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. It's interesting, and I don't hate it. He just talks about it. It's interesting to hear. I'll play that when he. On this show. Once we put that out. If it works in your relationship.
Amy
Absolutely.
Bobby Bones
Go for it. Like, it's weird to us. We give you a hard time, and I think it could probably work if we wanted to do that. My wife literally doesn't care, but I don't want to do that.
Lunchbox
You should try it. Don't knock it till you try it.
Amy
See, I think it's. We, of course, like to give lunch folks a Hard time. It's just funny to hear how he explains it, because I think if his wife were to share with us her perspective, because obviously she's cool with it, I think we'd be like, oh, okay, this makes sense, because she would probably explain it in a different way.
Bobby Bones
So he wouldn't take all the money. It's her idea, right? Yeah. Bones, I'm so happy for you. I literally just left a voicemail that. It makes me so happy. Whenever people I love want to have a baby and then they get pregnant, and now you're having a pregnant. Oh, my gosh. Congratulations. I don't even want to leave my name, because I sound crazy, but it's Haley from Missouri. That's funny. Thank you, Hayley. Great call. Yes. So we finally got to announce yesterday that my wife is having a baby. I'm not going to be Mr. We're Pregnant Guy. We're going to have a baby. It's going to be our baby. But she's the one that's pregnant with it because she's the one that's been sick.
Eddie
That's good.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So, yeah, we're having a baby, and it's crazy. And it's been the secret that's been the hardest to keep, because it's been a long secret, and it's different than a normal secret. Like, I got secrets so deep in me that I'm never going to share from people. But this is a weird one, because you know you're going to share it at some point. It's like when you got to use the bathroom really bad, and the closer you get to the house, the more it starts hitting you.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's like, as we were getting closer to being able to tell them, I go, oh, I got to tell somebody. So, yeah, we're having a baby, and she's having the baby.
Amy
Right.
Bobby Bones
But we're gonna have a baby. It's awesome.
Amy
I think it's okay for you to say we're having a baby.
Bobby Bones
I know. I just have seen her go through it.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
And I feel guilt with going, Cause I ain't doing crap.
Amy
Yeah. I think as long as you don't say we're pregnant.
Bobby Bones
So I can say we're having a baby?
Amy
Yes, because that helps. You know? Not that anybody would think you're not the dad, but you are having a baby.
Eddie
Dude, when you say if you say we're pregnant.
Bobby Bones
Well, am got me a book that was like, we're pregnant. Did you know that's what the book was called?
Amy
Oh, well, that was more so for you to know the stages of the pregnancy.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I've learned so much about pregnancy and stages. Oh, I bet. Yeah, it's been wild.
Amy
So yeah, sorry, I should have crossed that out and been like, Caitlyn's pregnant and here's what you need to learn.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's wild. You know, it'd be our first kid and we're very excited about it. But it has been a bit because she's been very sick. Like here's the thing, they might call it morning sickness, but they forgot to say sometimes you're sick for 24 hours a day for two months total and you can't get out of bed.
Amy
Yeah. I've often wondered why it's called morning sickness. Are you mourning your life? Yeah. Like, are you just like mourning getting pregnant?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
Because it's so painful.
Bobby Bones
It's a good point. We had so many great messages and you guys can call us as well if you want. 877-77 Bobby, congratulations to you and your wife.
Caller
That's so awesome to hear. I've been a father for about three years now. It's quite the journey. It's, it's amazing. Genuinely. I want to say congratulations to you and the Mrs. And good luck with the Bobby. It's the best thing you're ever going to do with your life. Take care.
Bobby Bones
Thank you very much. We posted on Instagram yesterday about 3 o', clock, we really didn't have a time or a set plan and my wife came down and was doing an interview with Clint Black. She came down and hung out a little bit and she was like, let's just go ahead and post it. I think for her it was good just to get it out there.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Cause you know we're in it now. I'm not gonna say exactly where we are on the stage and not gonna reveal the gender or anything so make it easier for me and don't ask. But I think she was just ready for it to be said. She was getting a lot of weird DMs. So was I. It's like your wife hasn't been on your social media. Are you guys getting divorced? Oh gosh. And like that, however that started. No, she just, we went on vacation and we took her family on vacation. Her mom and her dad and her sister and our brother in law. And she wasn't in any of the pictures. And so people were like, you didn't have your wife in your pictures? Are you guys going through a divorce? And I'm like, do you think if I were going through a divorce. We would take our family on vacation.
Amy
Yeah, good point.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So, yeah, we're going to do it. Well, I mean, we did it, but now we're going to do it. We're going to have a baby. I had a few other ideas for that caption on the pictures that we posted yesterday, and we ended up just putting, like, a baby emoji and a heart. And my wife and I, we collabed, but I had some ideas. Number one was we both were gonna hold our shirts up and be like, one of us has got a baby in us.
Amy
Oh, that's funny.
Lunchbox
Oh, that's good.
Amy
Boom.
Bobby Bones
Number two was gonna be like, she let me do this to her.
Amy
Oh, no.
Eddie
Getting in a bag. Too much, dude. Too much.
Lunchbox
What's wrong with that?
Amy
We don't need that. That's true. That's weird. Nope.
Eddie
Funny, though. Funny.
Amy
Yeah, I don't like that one. What's next? Were those the two?
Bobby Bones
Well, I had a few more, but if you don't like that one. And she was like, we could do whatever you want, but I'd prefer not to make it, you know, a comedy act. And so we settled on the baby head and the heart.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
So I just remember when I texted you about it because Caitlin had told me, and then I texted you, like, oh, my gosh, congratulations. And then you were like, what? Like, you reply back your little comedy sketch. He goes, what? Caitlin's pregnant.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. Another comment was, she didn't like this one. I think it's mine.
Eddie
That's a good one.
Lunchbox
That's funny. That's funny.
Eddie
That's always a good one, right?
Bobby Bones
Like, that's an old trusty. That's an old trusty one there.
Amy
It's always a bit.
Bobby Bones
This is a bit. Yeah, it isn't. I'm telling you, this ain't a bit. I got a lot of great calls and texts, and I'm not a person when there's really good or bad news that calls anybody, I'll text. But I really admire people who call because. And I didn't want to really answer them because I feel awkward. Like, I feel like they don't even want to talk. They just feel like they have to call. But I got a call from a couple people yesterday, and they were like, just want to say I saw it, and I gasped, and, I don't know, I just called you. And then I feel like they're on the phone way too long with me. Like, they don't really want to be on the Phone with me. So I'm, like, trying to get off the call. The whole time, I'm like, thank you. I'll tell her. And, you know, if. All right. It's just. I'm bad on the phone. Got the future baby. Got an offer a scholarship at Purdue yesterday.
Amy
What?
Bobby Bones
Already? Already? Wow. Yeah. I'm friends with Coach Odom, the football coach there, and he was like, hey, whatever it is, boy or girl, scholarship offer to Purdue right now.
Eddie
Done.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And call me and let me know that. So.
Amy
I mean, Caitlin's so athletic.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. If it gets my wife's athleticism, it's on because she. Her whole family, they are.
Amy
They're just gifted this.
Bobby Bones
Superb athletes. Yeah. Yeah. So that's what's up.
Eddie
How you feeling?
Bobby Bones
It's been. We've been in this for months at this point. It feels good to just finally reveal it.
Amy
I think the way you put it of, like, when you have to go to the bathroom, and the closer you get, like, the worse you just have to go. Like you just want to get it out. It's got to feel so freeing that.
Bobby Bones
The other analogy is running on a treadmill. Like, the closer you get to that whatever mile mark, you're like, I can't do this much. Like, you really start to go, I don't know if I can do this much longer as you get closer to it. But, yeah, it feels. Feels great to say it. And, you know, my initial pitch was to not even announce there was a pregnancy, just to have the baby exist. Whoa. That'd be crazy. It would just start showing up in pictures. And my wife was like, I don't think so. I have to hide for, like, nine months. And I'm like, yeah, but what a bit, huh?
Amy
Then there would be all these things of, like, who's the surrogate? Or where'd y' all get that baby?
Eddie
Major rumors.
Bobby Bones
No, but we would have pictures to post. Where'd you get the baby? That's a funny one.
Amy
Yeah. I mean, that's what I mean. This baby just appears.
Bobby Bones
But that's the bit. That's why it's awesome. Just an appearing baby.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So, yeah, it's. It's awesome. I don't even know. I really have no idea.
Amy
Are you scared?
Bobby Bones
Not yet.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
She's been so sick. She was so sick for so long that it's mostly just, like, no time to think of anything else except try to get her better.
Amy
And I don't know, scared maybe is the right word, but just like, no.
Eddie
It'S the right word.
Amy
Yeah. Nervous, scared.
Eddie
I remember being terrified.
Amy
Nervous, scared. Yeah. You'll probably. As you get closer, I'm sure there.
Bobby Bones
Will be anxiety that comes in. But I think the most anxious that I've been was, like, pre all of this, I just. I don't know. I was always scared, and I don't know. I think part of me was like, I'm never going to have a kid, or I may not have a kid. And I'm okay with that because I didn't want to have a kid and be poor because I grew up as a poor kid with no resources. And so we have to worry about that. You know, that's a selfish thing. And there's gonna be other hard things, but to me, that was always the fact, like, I don't want to have to raise a kid. Like, I grew up, and so we don't have to. And again, if it weren't for her, I don't know that I would have ever had a kid. So. Yeah. I really don't know how to talk about. I'm probably gonna say a lot of things wrong because people get offended at everything when talking about people being pregnant and stuff. There was one comment yesterday. Let me read it here. And I didn't go into the comments purposefully and got a lot of them. And this. This comment was like. And again, I'm gonna say a lot of stuff wrong. So if you're offended by what I say, I didn't mean to. But also, kick rocks. Both. Right. Like, I apologize in advance if I say something that's offensive, and I don't mean to be offensive, but this person wrote, glad you had success with IVF from a fellow IV effer. And I'm like, we didn't do ivf. And also, there's nothing wrong with ivf. A lot of my friends have done it.
Eddie
But why would they assume that?
Bobby Bones
No idea. No idea.
Eddie
That's a weird one.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Did you comment back?
Amy
Bizarre.
Bobby Bones
I didn't come. It was on the Bobby Bones show page.
Amy
Well, I don't think your response was so you.
Bobby Bones
No. I'm just saying over the next few months, I'm gonna say stupid things.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Because I don't know enough about this.
Amy
Yeah. But I feel like. Was that an example of just someone else saying something to it?
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah.
Amy
And then you might.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah.
Amy
So, I mean, whatever. It's just someone making an assumption.
Bobby Bones
But why would you even assume that? Oh, well, you know, what about. Because she's 33. It's not. You know, I don't. I Don't know if there's. Is there an age thing when people get older? Is it more of a. Because she's not older yet. She's not. What's a geriatric pregnancy? Weird word, by the way.
Amy
So weird. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You should be like, 80 and pregnant.
Amy
Definitely coined that.
Bobby Bones
You should be. Yeah. So, yeah, we didn't do ivf. But if we did, who cares? Why would you even write that anyway, if we did? Like, you don't know that. You're just assuming something. Yeah, but that was the only thing that I.
Amy
You know what assuming does?
Bobby Bones
Mm.
Eddie
I've heard.
Bobby Bones
So I'll grab some calls, we'll take a little break, come back. It's really nice to be able to say it and not hide it anymore, so. And I've been dropping little Easter eggs here and there, if you guys have been paying attention. So, like, what?
Lunchbox
Stroller talk?
Bobby Bones
Oh, dude, it was all over stroller talk. You knew.
Amy
Oh, so maybe I wasn't noticing it.
Bobby Bones
Probably not.
Amy
Because I'm like, well, sometimes we talk about stroll. And you kept saying over and over, I know nothing about strollers.
Bobby Bones
I know nothing.
Lunchbox
I don't.
Bobby Bones
I know nothing about strollers.
Amy
It didn't occur to me. I don't know if that was an Easter egg. Now I'm curious. What were the eggs?
Eddie
So are you buying the Lamborghini stroller?
Bobby Bones
I don't think so.
Lunchbox
I still don't think so.
Amy
No, no, no, please don't.
Bobby Bones
That was on the podcast yesterday, if you guys want to go hear that. Okay, give it a second. We'll come back. My eyes are watering. My cheeks are sore because I've been smiling so big since I saw your post about 15 minutes ago. Congratulations, Buffy and Caitlin. I am so happy for you guys. Bye.
Caller
You're going to be a great dad, Bobbi.
Bobby Bones
Don't even sweat that. You are very present.
Caller
You are intentional, and I feel like you're so intentional with your actions. You're going to put forth the effort you want to, therefore you will. So it's nerve wracking, but really, you're going to do great. And I'm so excited for you guys on this next part of your journey.
Bobby Bones
Thanks. Thanks for all the calls I hear. And you guys could validate this, or not, that when you have a baby, you get way more sleep. Because I've been struggling with sleep for a long time, for years. But this is really going to help me sleep. Is there some accuracy to that? Yeah. Good on this.
Eddie
Yeah, man.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, man.
Eddie
100%.
Bobby Bones
I'm really excited. Now.
Lunchbox
Get ready.
Bobby Bones
That's awesome. Dak in Oklahoma City is on the phone right now. Hey, Dak, you're on the phone, buddy. Dag.
Caller
Morning, studio.
Bobby Bones
Morning.
Caller
I've waited seven years to do that. That's awesome. Bobby. I am calling. First of all, I have to say, I'm a huge Lunchbox fan. I love Lunchbox. Go, Lunchbox. But also, I am so excited because. Okay, like, you release your books. I don't remember when, but I listen to both of them, like, five or six, seven years ago. And we have had such a similar path through life. Like, with everything you went through with your childhood and your mom and grandma and your dad and everything, like, it's crazy. And I. I had my first kid. She. She's seven right now, so it was like seven, eight years ago. And it. It's awesome to be able to. To finally get the opportunity to relate to you on that level, because every single time there's a topic about kids, you have so much genuine, clear insight on what it is to raise a kid without ever having kids. And I genuinely think you're going to be one of the most awesome, amazing dads that's ever existed.
Bobby Bones
So I'll put that on my shirt.
Amy
Oh, wow.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Listen, I've been great at parenting without kids. It's been awesome. I've been so good at it. Yeah, I understand. I know nothing, but I say that, too, but I know nothing.
Amy
Well, you know what? You don't want to be, like, kinda.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I mean, not there. That's what I don't want to be like. That's pretty much it. Yeah. Yeah.
Amy
So that's good. Some people don't even have that perspective because they take it for grant. Their parents were always present, so they don't have that. I mean, maybe they will be present, maybe they won't, but, you know, you definitely want to show up because you didn't have that.
Bobby Bones
Thank you, Dak. I appreciate the call, man.
Caller
Yeah. For real.
Bobby Bones
I'm going to use that. You know, movies, they'll put like a quote and really quickly, they'll. They'll not really put who it is like the greatest movie ever, and it's like John in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Random guy. Yeah. Very small. I'm going to use that and put it up on a picture and be like, you're going to be the best because you already knew everything. Dak. Dak. Okay. Oklahoma City. Yeah, I think. And I know my wife did a great job because she's so aware of these things. She wanted to make sure that everybody. Because we told our close circle. And then after a certain point, we told our semi. They're close, but, like, not the people we see almost every day. Circle. I think she had everybody covered. I forgot to tell a couple people.
Eddie
Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
So I got random text last night. After we put the picture up, they were like, oh, hey, so online you're having a baby.
Eddie
I thought we were in the circle.
Bobby Bones
And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's true.
Eddie
It happens, man.
Bobby Bones
I wrote a bunch of thanks mans back. Yeah, yeah.
Eddie
That's the generic response.
Bobby Bones
Thanks, man. I think I sent it to a couple ladies too. Thanks, man. I think they knew that was a copy and paste, so. Yeah, I don't really know what else to say about it. It was good to be able to announce it. We're in it. That's all. Like, what else is there to say?
Amy
Well, there'll be more to say along the way.
Eddie
Oh, yeah, lots.
Bobby Bones
I think I've said it all. I think that's it.
Amy
I've said nothing until the baby comes out. I would love to know how you found out. Like, how did Caitlin tell you? Did you guys find out together? What was that process? Like?
Bobby Bones
I need to check with her on what story? I can tell the actual real story, but yeah, we found out together at the same time.
Amy
Okay. I didn't know if there was a big reveal or surprise or.
Bobby Bones
No, I was. No, no, it was not a surprise. Like, we were like, okay, I think we're good to go. And so we went. Good. We were good to go. And then it was good to go.
Eddie
It's pretty good.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it was.
Amy
Doesn't always work out that way, so that's good. Yeah, you were good to go.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, whatever that means. Yeah, we're good to go. I'll check with her and see what I can tell. You know, it's as much her story, so I don't want to throw too much. Too much of it out there yet. But we found out. Yes. At the same time. I did, because I'm 45 years old. I'm not 22. So I was a bit nervous, so I went and I called my doctor, and I was like, I need to make sure my sperm's good. And he was like, all right. So we did that. Basically. Lebron.
Amy
Oh, God.
Bobby Bones
Is that what the doctor said? Yeah. When he walked out to give me the results, they were like, lebron. Oh, sorry, Bobby.
Lunchbox
Wow. One of the greatest of all time.
Amy
How do you know LeBron's firm?
Bobby Bones
I can Just imagine, like, one of the greatest athletes we've ever seen.
Eddie
He's great at basketball.
Bobby Bones
Why not? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, they confused me for LeBron. That's a little awkward other than that, but yeah. Let me grab another call. Let's see. Dave in Kentucky is on the phone. Dave, you're on.
Caller
Hey, Bobby.
Bobby Bones
Hey, Bobby. Morning.
Caller
Hey, Bobby. I just wanted to say congrats to y', all, too, on your baby. It is the greatest thing ever. Actually, I'm gonna say the second greatest thing because I just had a grandbaby a couple years ago, so that may be the greatest thing, but either way, you know what I'm saying? Hey, I'm just curious if you plan on slowing down on work anytime after the baby's born, or are you just gonna keep going, you know, hard as can be to, you know, like you never did, and just take your. Your baby with you?
Amy
Good question.
Bobby Bones
Why would I slow down? I got bills to pay.
Eddie
It's true.
Bobby Bones
It's time to ramp it up.
Eddie
Yeah. They ain't cheap.
Bobby Bones
You ain't seen nothing yet. Listen to Eddie talk.
Amy
Okay, but again, you wouldn't be very present. How could you ramp it up?
Bobby Bones
I'll wear a papoose.
Amy
Bring it with you. Yeah, okay.
Bobby Bones
Listen, Eddie scared me. He was like, you're gonna be broke. Yeah. Everything costs money.
Amy
Well, Eddie has four.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Amy
And you're gonna have one. And also it starts with one.
Eddie
Amy.
Lunchbox
Go ahead, Amy.
Amy
It's just very different.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I feel that as far as slowing down or speeding up, I haven't slowed down, but I've modified. Like, I'm on the road almost none now. I say that I'm on the road two days next week, but I've taken a lot of the stuff and I have shifted a bit of priorities where I'm working at home, a lot different podcast type stuff, so that's true. I'll do what needs to be done.
Amy
That's a good way to put it.
Bobby Bones
You're shifting, by the way, everybody, Eddie did not leak the sex of the baby. Nobody knows sex of the baby. Everybody online, because Eddie just said something, and they're like, eddie leaked the sex. It did not happen. Nobody knows sex of the baby.
Eddie
I don't even know what I said.
Bobby Bones
It did not happen.
Lunchbox
Oh, Eddie, what'd you do?
Eddie
I don't think I did anything.
Bobby Bones
I didn't. I sent you a text. I was like, hey, this is what you said. You need to say. You don't even know.
Eddie
I don't even know. Yeah, don't know anything.
Bobby Bones
So Eddie did not. If he did, he doesn't even know. Nobody knows. Thank you for all the calls. Thank you for all the voicemails. We'll talk more on the podcast if you guys want to check that out. Anonymous Inar There's a question to be had down to the Mountain Hello Bobby Bones. I tend to fall for guys romantically a bit too quickly. The few relationships I've been in have always been very intense. I've been known to drop the L bomb a little too early. I fall too hard and too fast and then I'm devastated. Now I want to develop steady relationships where I'm not the one who is head over heels while they're still deciding if they want to see me. How Do I do that? What's your advice on how to stop myself from being too interested when I really like a guy? Signed, the Love Bomber. Well, this is interesting because we have at least one of those on the show.
Lunchbox
We do.
Bobby Bones
And so I think Abby is probably the person that we're referring to here. Abby would. Quick. One of them.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
Some would say there's a pattern. There's been a pattern in the past.
Bobby Bones
But she's in a happy relationship right now. Very happy. Hey, Abby, what would you recommend to this emailer who worries she may be falling too quickly? Oh, go ahead.
Abby
Oh, no, I'm just saying. Yeah, that's a thing that can happen.
Amy
Just try to learn.
Bobby Bones
What did you do? Did you do anything different with this last relationship?
Abby
Yeah, yeah, I totally changed my whole mindset. But also in the past, guys have. They kind of lead you on a little and get you excited. So your hopes are up, and then they're crushed. With my current one, like, he didn't do that. He followed through with everything. He was the one kind of trying to chase me, whereas I was the one and the other ones trying to get their attention.
Bobby Bones
And did you do anything different? Did you, like, pause at times? Yeah. You consciously made the decision.
Abby
Yeah, because I. Before, I was just, like, spilling my whole guts on the first date, you know, even though I kind of did on the same date. Same with my current. But it worked out.
Amy
She said you said you changed your mindset, which I. Yeah, maybe on the first date, she spilled, but then she pulled back.
Bobby Bones
Or maybe it's just that she found a guy that that style is compatible with.
Abby
Oh, that. That could be it, too. But yeah, no, I really did try to make a conscious effort to be like, okay, calm down. It's gonna be okay. Don't, like, freak out. You know, like, if he's not calling, don't freak out. It's okay.
Bobby Bones
And you've heard that if you keep doing the same thing over and over again and you expect different results, that's insane. So I would think if it keeps happening the exact same way and you keep doing the exact same thing, you have to understand that's always going to happen like that. So you have to make a change in order to see change. And that's pretty difficult if it's not what you're. What you'd be drawn to do.
Amy
And it's great that she already has this awareness herself, so she's already, like, one step in that direction, because some people aren't even aware they're. They're doing that.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but Abby knew she was doing it. She couldn't stop.
Abby
Yeah, I know, but she.
Amy
She's. I feel like she did a little bit. She would have to say pause.
Bobby Bones
Do you think we're the ones that helped you?
Amy
I do.
Abby
Yeah. You help me see it, and I. I think back, and I'm like, oh, my gosh. I was so cringy, like, in Vegas.
Bobby Bones
I think it's a mixture of you knowing what's up, but also finding a guy that your style is compatible with. Because it's both, because you're not going to totally change.
Abby
Oh, and also, I was honest with my boyfriend. I was like, hey, this is how I am. I need you to be a little. You know, be aware of that.
Bobby Bones
Be aware that I'm insane. And if you're good with that.
Abby
Yeah.
Amy
Be aware that I'm gonna fall for you fast.
Bobby Bones
I know we just met, but I love you, and as long as you're okay with that. So it's a mix. Like, understand what you're doing. You have good awareness already. There are times where you should just pause a bit when you want to go forward, and there are times you just have to understand that's who you are. You fundamentally can't change who you are, and that's okay. You're probably a really awesome person, and you probably have that in other parts of your life where it makes you awesome to be around. That's my advice. We got Abby out of it. We can get you out of it.
Abby
Yes.
Bobby Bones
All right, close it up. If I played this sound right here. That is. Yeah. Busy signal. We talked about this because it was a forgotten sound, and a lot of people didn't know the sound. And I think maybe Morgan was like, I'm not sure I know what a busy signal sounds like. Do you know what that is? If you were to hear it again, like, would you have known it? No.
Amy
I mean, I. I would have thought, like, it's just a phone off the hook now.
Bobby Bones
It was busy if you call the phone off the hook. But, yeah. Yeah, that was a busy signal. So what I have here, I have seven sounds that are forgotten. Write your answer down. Can you name the forgotten sound? If you miss it, you're out. Morgan, you play. You'll be out quick. Ready? Number one.
Eddie
I'm in.
Lunchbox
I'm in for the win.
Amy
I'm in.
Bobby Bones
All right. Can you name that sound? Amy.
Amy
Typewriter.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Typewriter.
Bobby Bones
Morgan.
Amy
Typewriter.
Bobby Bones
Eddie.
Eddie
Typewriter.
Bobby Bones
Good job. Name this forgotten sound.
Eddie
I'm in.
Amy
I'm in. I'm in.
Lunchbox
Oh, I'm in for the win.
Bobby Bones
Amy.
Amy
TV static.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
TV static.
Bobby Bones
Morgan.
Amy
TV static.
Bobby Bones
Eddie.
Eddie
TV static.
Bobby Bones
Correct. Wow.
Lunchbox
Morgan knew that.
Amy
I thought that was a power washer at first. Honestly.
Bobby Bones
It does kind of sound like a power washer.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Next up.
Amy
I'm in.
Lunchbox
I'm in for the win.
Eddie
I'm in.
Bobby Bones
Morgan is very confused right now. Can you play it one more time? Okay, Morgan, what do you have?
Amy
I think it's called a rotary phone. I have phone dial because I. I'm, like, picturing him doing it. I guess I just don't know what it's called.
Bobby Bones
Amy.
Amy
A rotary dial phone.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Rotary phone.
Bobby Bones
Eddie.
Eddie
A rotary dial phone.
Bobby Bones
You're all correct. Good job. Yeah. That's the thing where you put your finger in the hole, and if the hole was on one, you moved it that far.
Lunchbox
So cool.
Eddie
Took forever.
Bobby Bones
It did take forever. And if you messed up, you had to start all the way over. Terrible. Next up. It's a hard one.
Eddie
It's hard.
Bobby Bones
Can you name that forgotten sound? We're gonna play it one more time.
Eddie
I'm in.
Bobby Bones
I'm in.
Lunchbox
Ah. I'm in for the win. I don't feel good.
Bobby Bones
Come in, Amy.
Amy
That's a VCR with a VHS tape going in and out or something.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
I think any of my bride. I put fax machine.
Bobby Bones
Morgan.
Amy
I had vhs.
Bobby Bones
Eddie.
Eddie
I think they're right. But I put copy machine.
Bobby Bones
It is a vcr. VHS tape. Lunchbox and Eddie are out. Morgan. Morgan's in. Amy's in.
Eddie
Makes no sense.
Lunchbox
That's tough. Here we go.
Bobby Bones
Three more. Hit it. Wow. Name that forgotten sound.
Amy
Maybe one more time.
Bobby Bones
No.
Amy
Oh, okay.
Bobby Bones
Need an answer, guys?
Amy
I guess I'm in.
Bobby Bones
Five seconds. All right. Time.
Amy
Amy, Photocopy.
Bobby Bones
Morgan.
Amy
A nerf gun.
Bobby Bones
No. Do you know it? Is that a flashbulb? It is. It's a camera flash. Charging and clicking because you used to you'd have a camera and that you'd even put on a little flash on top of the camera. Yes.
Amy
I guess I didn't realize it took that long to get a photo.
Bobby Bones
Imagine if you had to rotary call somebody to come over and do one of those forever. Okay, we're at sudden death, then speed round. I'm gonna play a sound. You guys buzz in with your name. Morgan or Amy. First one to get it wins.
Lunchbox
Here we go.
Amy
Morgan.
Bobby Bones
Morgan. Jukebox. Incorrect.
Eddie
Good guess.
Bobby Bones
Amy, you can keep listening to it.
Amy
Well, I mean, where you're putting the change, But I'm I don't know how specific I need to be, but. Like, a pay phone.
Bobby Bones
Correct, A pay phone. Wow.
Eddie
That's her thing.
Bobby Bones
How about Morgan being over 10 years younger than you guys and being you guys? Just not hear.
Eddie
We just spaced out, dude. That's it.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's it.
Lunchbox
Yeah. That sounds a lot like a fax machine. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Lapsing game playing. Amy. Congratulations, big one.
Lunchbox
It's time for the good news with producer Eddie.
Eddie
Mike Brown is a CPR instructor, and his wife one day goes, hey, let's go to T.J. maxx with me. I want to go shopping. He goes, I don't really want to go. She said, no, come on, please. It'll be fun. Come with me. Luckily, he went, because while they were shopping at TJ Maxx, some guy, 27 year old, collapses on the floor, goes into cardiac arrest, and guess what? Mike's there. He's a CPR instructor. He goes up there, does cpr, man. He does it for a long time. Almost thinks he's not gonna make it. He finally comes back, paramedics come, and the guy he saved.
Bobby Bones
I saw a story where a guy went into cardiac arrest or, like, walking on the sidewalk, and it was, like, 12ft from the front door of a cardiologist. Oh.
Lunchbox
Oh, that's good. That's a good, good place.
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
Unless they didn't know he was out there.
Bobby Bones
Well, they. No. Well, they didn't until they ran into the door and knocked and. And it was during business hours, so they ran out and saved him.
Amy
That's amazing.
Eddie
Amazing.
Bobby Bones
You go down right by a cardiologist office. That's crazy. There you go. Good story. That's what it's all about. That was.
Lunchbox
Tell me something good, Bones.
Bobby Bones
This woman's telling the story of her husband who went on a golf trip, a guy's trip, for seven days, and never called while he was gone. Would that be weird if you guys were gone for, like, three or four days and never called your wives? Yeah. Yeah, that'd be weird, right?
Eddie
Be in trouble.
Bobby Bones
About a week ago, this lady on Tick Tock posted a video, and she was worried in it, and she said, when your husband hasn't called in seven days and he's on a guy's trip and you have anxiety, so people started freaking out in the comments, saying he was cheating, etc. She posted a video update. Here you go.
Caller
So before my husband left, we had discussed that he wouldn't get wi fi because he works through his phone, and he just did not want to be disturbed during his vacation. Which I was totally fine with. We never discussed phone calls. We just knew he wasn't going to have WI fi. So it was my expectation that he would call when he was in port. I was having a little anxiety about him not calling. I figured he would turn his phone on and call me on the port and that's just what I was expecting. He is home. We are not getting a divorce over him not calling me for seven days. Now if he was a crappy husband all the other time, it might be on the table. But I'm not divorcing my husband over this.
Bobby Bones
He cheated.
Eddie
No, he's lying 100%.
Amy
But if you're trying to.
Bobby Bones
He cheated.
Eddie
Seven days, Amy.
Bobby Bones
And also it's like, I'm not going to get WI fi.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Amy
Why would you draw attention by not calling? Wouldn't he call to act normal?
Bobby Bones
But I think he set it up ahead of time to where he wouldn't have to call. Like, I'm not going to get WI fi cuz I'm on my phone too much.
Amy
Oh, I understand wanting to separate. Something's up though.
Bobby Bones
Yep.
Eddie
Seven days is way too.
Bobby Bones
But you can separate from work while even having WI fi. You just don't work.
Lunchbox
Just don't answer the emails. I mean, seven days is a long time. But like when we were in Vegas, I didn't call my wife, I texted.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but you're talking about two days and also you still texted. So that's communication.
Eddie
Communication.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. No, he's up to something. I don't know them. I have no idea what's going on. If you were just to present those facts to me without me feeling personal about it because I watched the video, I'd be like, yeah, that dude's up to something. I don't know what it is, but there are excuses up front. He also never called or texted and now he's back. The sums up.
Eddie
But say he's not cheating, then that's still like suspect. Why he's not calling her at all for seven days.
Bobby Bones
Unless he's cheating with a dude.
Eddie
Oh my goodness.
Lunchbox
Like, oh, golf trip dude.
Amy
What?
Bobby Bones
Brokeback Mountain. Oh.
Eddie
I mean, he's with the dudes and.
Bobby Bones
They'Re in the mountains or like wherever. Yeah. So something's up. I don't know what's up. Something's up in that story. You don't think so, huh?
Amy
Well, because I feel like if something was up, he was trying to hide something. He'd do everything to act normal and just call. How hard it is. How hard is it? To step away and call.
Bobby Bones
Unless you want that to be your argument. Oh, and you hide in plain sight. You do the opposite of the opposite.
Amy
Oh, man, this is next level.
Bobby Bones
Guys in the room. Do you think something's up?
Eddie
100.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. What's the percentage?
Eddie
You say 100, 100 something. I don't know if he's cheating. Something's up, though. Like, even if he didn't want to call his wife for seven days, that something is up.
Amy
Right? Like, why aren't you serious?
Bobby Bones
Maybe he just hates her and doesn't. Yeah, yeah. I'm gonna go 75. Chance something's up. 54. Chance is cheating.
Eddie
54.
Bobby Bones
Above 50. More than half. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
62%. I mean, it just seems a little weird, but maybe he thought, hey, we communicated. I'm not going to turn my phone on. So since we already talked about it, I don't need to turn it on.
Bobby Bones
But also, I want to talk to my wife within seven days. Yeah, there's just that element of it. Not even to check in, but it's like, I would like to talk to my wife to see what's going on. Like, I want to know how she's doing, if anything new's happened, anything like, share some funds. I. That's weird to me, too, that there wasn't, like, the express desire to, like, talk to your partner unless he was.
Amy
Like, going away to, like, work on himself and you. You have to detach from everything, but then say that.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that wasn't the case. That was, like, a buddy.
Amy
Maybe you'd have to be, like, at a treatment center, and they take your phone away.
Bobby Bones
That's the only.
Amy
You know, like, there's a blackout period.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I don't believe it. I'm glad you shared it because it gave us some entertainment, something to talk about. Bones, one of the winners of that jackpot, the $1.7 billion jackpot, describes himself as a homebody and will take a $410 million lump sum. My gosh. Now two people won. So, yeah, he gets half a billion, basically, for being one of the two. He's like, yeah, I don't really leave the house that much.
Eddie
Well, now he's really not going to need to leave the house.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Or he leaves the house all the time. It's one of two ways. But, yeah, he went to the Jefferson City, Missouri, office and was like, here's the ticket.
Eddie
Oh, so he's the Missouri winner. The other one was Texas, I think.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he picked a lucky ticket for the record. Shattering. September 6th drawing. Yeah. After the lump, it's 4:10. He says he intends to focus on himself this year. That's a lot of focus.
Amy
And you have the luxury to do just that.
Bobby Bones
That's from the New York Post. But really, it'd be amazing to win that, so. For sure. For sure. Yeah.
Eddie
That's it.
Bobby Bones
Period. That's it.
Lunchbox
There's no but.
Bobby Bones
It would be amazing. I'm not even doing a but. However. Oh. Can you imagine everybody, you know, if they knew they would be hitting you up for free money all the time? You have all this money. Can I have money? Can I have money? Can I have money? That's all your life would be is people asking you for money, and you now wondering if they were only there because they wanted your money. That would suck.
Eddie
Here's the question. Do you think you can remain anonymous?
Bobby Bones
I think. I think you would find out even if I didn't announce it. Cars will get nicer. All of a sudden, the fountain is gold.
Eddie
Just all of a sudden?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I mean, it's just a bunch of random stuff is happening now that wasn't happening. So they're gonna think something, but also they know that it's from Missouri. Eventually, people are gonna find out, because.
Eddie
I was thinking, like, if I would have won it and I didn't show up to work and the winner was in Tennessee, you guys would have been like, 100. Eddie won the lottery.
Lunchbox
No, I wouldn't. Unless you bought a big house.
Amy
I would think you were sick.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And then I would think the kids were sick, but you can't get a hold of me.
Amy
He got a flat tire.
Bobby Bones
Yes. I think there were 84 things we think before you just won the lottery. The next one is. Now, this one isn't as significant financially, but this woman, Carrie Edwards, she is the widow and grandmother who won $150,000 in the Powerball lottery. Now, it wasn't. She got all the numbers. She got like, five of them or something. And she just asked Chat GPT to give her numbers. It did, and it won.
Eddie
Stop.
Bobby Bones
She said, I played online for the first time. I went to the AI chat bot on Chat GPT, and I said, hey, tell me about this $1.7 billion. Do you have any numbers for me? And then she matched for the first five numbers plus the Powerball. She won $150,000 because chat GPT gave her the numbers. And then she donated all the money.
Eddie
Why would she do that?
Lunchbox
Donated?
Bobby Bones
She donated her entire winnings to three charities. What? The association for Frontotemporal degeneration, Shalom Farms and the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society. So use chat GBT and one crazy donated it all. Abnormal.
Eddie
Bizarre.
Bobby Bones
Not gonna say crazy. Well, I wonder what word you would use for that.
Eddie
Bizarre.
Bobby Bones
You think it's bizarre to donate at all?
Eddie
Yes. Like you just want a lot of money. Like this is. You give it all away. I. I understand. Giving some of it away. All of it.
Amy
One might use the word generous.
Bobby Bones
Me too.
Eddie
Generous is half. Like, you know, it's crazy.
Lunchbox
What's the point of playing if you're just gonna give it all away?
Bobby Bones
I think the point of playing is entertainment. And then the point of playing when you win is to help out. Because the frontotemporal degeneration is a memory of her firefighter husband who died from the disease. Shalom Farms is to fight food insecurity and the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society to tell military families. So I think she has a giving heart. She's like, I came across this. Yeah. For a reason. My reason is going to be to get back. I don't think that I would give it all back. I'm not gonna lie to you.
Eddie
Maybe she's rich already.
Bobby Bones
She's a widow and a grandmother.
Eddie
Maybe she's a rich widow.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
What about her grandkids?
Amy
Yeah, maybe her dying husband.
Bobby Bones
Well, you guys are angry about this.
Eddie
Hey, you think we can ask your assistant for some numbers?
Bobby Bones
I can try. She'll be like, but if I do.
Amy
It, this is fun.
Bobby Bones
And it's outwardly every. Everybody's gonna get out. Do that. That's fine. We can do it. Let me ask my assistant. Hello and good morning. We are talking about a news story where Chat GPT picked lottery numbers and the person won. Would you mind giving me some Powerball numbers? Well, good morning. That's definitely quite a fun story to hear about, though I'll note that it's all just luck at the end of the day, but sure, I can toss out a few random numbers for you. Let's say 5, 12, 23, 37, 42.
Ad Voice
And now we're ball 19. Just remember, it's all in good fun.
Bobby Bones
And definitely not a guarantee of any winnings. 5, 12, 23, 37, 42, and 19.
Eddie
This is amazing.
Bobby Bones
Hey, Scuba Steve, will you be in charge of getting the tickets if we give you money? Yeah, I'm down for.
Eddie
I can get it.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
Well, you don't want me to do it?
Bobby Bones
No, no, Amy. We've now moved to the third person. At first it was lunchbox. Now Then it was Amy. Now it's Scuba Steve.
Amy
Yeah, but with me, you did win.
Bobby Bones
No, I didn't win the lottery. I got my money back. Plus, because you messed up and gave me a penalty fee, Right?
Amy
So you won.
Bobby Bones

Bobby Bones
Says he gets no respect at his own house. What happened?
Lunchbox
I came home from work the other day and my wife is sitting on the front porch having a glass of wine with her sister.
Bobby Bones
Why is that not respectful towards you?
Lunchbox
I had no idea her sister was coming to town.
Bobby Bones
Oh, she doesn't live here?
Lunchbox
No, she lives in Austin.
Bobby Bones
Was she just stopping by for an hour or so?
Lunchbox
No, she was just decided to I guess come and visit for a couple days and my wife didn't even mention it.
Bobby Bones
Did your wife know she was coming Was it a surprise?
Lunchbox
I know my wife knew. Apparently, as I later found out, I confronted her. And not really confronted, like, I'm angry. Kind of like, hey, what's going on?
Bobby Bones
Here is audio of Lunchbox confronting his wife.
Lunchbox
I'm very confused on your sister's here.
Abby
Yeah, isn't that cool?
Bobby Bones
She booked a last minute fight yesterday and decided to be here today.
Lunchbox
But yeah, like, hey, there's this thing. I live with you. You could have been like, hey, just heads up, my sister's coming. Or a text message like, hey, my sister decided to book flights, but just, I come home and you guys are drinking wine on the porch.
Abby
Well, yeah, it was a fun spur.
Bobby Bones
Of the moment thing.
Lunchbox
Sorry, I. I just like, it's a little disrespectful.
Amy
Oh, sorry. Okay. It won't happen again. Don't worry.
Lunchbox
Let's go make out.
Amy
Nope.
Bobby Bones
Dang. She. She laughed.
Amy
Yeah, she is.
Lunchbox
She just thinks it's funny. She's like, but it's so cool that it was a last minute, spur of the moment.
Amy
And you're like, don't let it happen again. And she's like, haha.
Bobby Bones
Okay, okay, buddy. We heard rumor was because we went to Vegas for our I Heart Festival last weekend, we heard that she didn't go because you didn't want to pay your in laws to come back.
Lunchbox
That's correct. Yeah. So she was at home.
Bobby Bones
She was gonna come.
Lunchbox
She was gonna come, but I didn't want to pay the in laws and so she had to take care of the kids and so she was there with them all weekend and maybe that's why she thought it was okay for her sister to just drop in. I don't know. But yeah.
Amy
Wait, clarify. Paid the in laws. What do you mean? Like for their flight. But you're cuz. You're certainly not paying them.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Remember the whole story? You don't remember? Were you gone or were you drunk?
Eddie
She might have been sick.
Amy
No, what, what, what are those two options?
Lunchbox
Gone or drunk? She was gone the whole week we got back from vacation.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so you weren't drunk. I gave gone an option.
Lunchbox
Gone was an option.
Bobby Bones
Gone was an option. So.
Amy
Okay, thanks.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So you weren't drunk?
Amy
Correct.
Bobby Bones
Okay, good.
Eddie
Thank goodness.
Bobby Bones
So. So the story was when Lunchbox and his wife went on vacation, the in laws came in to watch the kids. And when they were taking them to the airport, his wife took him to the airport, dropped him off, she came back and told him, hey, we should like give him 500 bucks. And he's like, for what? And we all agreed that was kind of a weird ask, but it was. If you don't, they probably won't be so available the next time because they didn't pay for their flights or anything. But that was. That's what happened.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And so that is why she didn't go to Vegas. Right.
Lunchbox
And so she was at home. And now my sister in law's here.
Bobby Bones
But don't you like that that she's here? She can like help watch the kids.
Lunchbox
I mean she's really nice. I mean she's good with the kids. But it just was a little bit of a like, oh, hello. Like I didn't seem very excited to see her because I didn't know she was gonna be there.
Bobby Bones
Better than the last time you caught your wife drinking wine on the porch? Some dudes. Some random dude.
Lunchbox
Yeah, that was wine and cheese and crackers.
Bobby Bones
Uh huh.
Eddie
With some random guy.
Lunchbox
I haven't seen him.
Eddie
Yeah, well, yeah, he's probably not.
Bobby Bones
They're probably drinking wine somewhere else after you came home. It's kind of awkward. They can't do that.
Lunchbox
Maybe. I don't know.
Bobby Bones
So how's this gonna end?
Lunchbox
Well, she'll be here for a couple days and then she'll fly out and hopefully we won't see her for a little bit. Not like in a bad way.
Eddie
You think your wife's gonna ever do this again?
Lunchbox
Probably not. At least text me.
Bobby Bones
Would you do this if you had a friend coming in?
Amy
Good question.
Lunchbox
You know, that's what I should do. I should just have someone drop.
Bobby Bones
That's not the question. It's not. Retaliate retaliation.
Eddie
You should do that though.
Lunchbox
No, I don't really have friends that can just fly in on a whim. They, Everybody I know, they. They've got a plan way in advance.
Bobby Bones
But you think now she will check with you. Yeah. Because disrespect. Yeah. And you run the house. Right. And there's a pair of pants and you wear them. Right.
Lunchbox
100.
Bobby Bones
I didn't hear that in the clip at all. But we'll respect it. It's time for the good news with Bobby. Tell me something good. In a tiny fishing village in Canada. St. Paul's River, Quebec. 14 neighbors, they always do the lottery together. They hit it. 50 million bucks. Wow.
Amy
That's amazing.
Bobby Bones
The group have been playing the lottery together for 18 years. Wow. They're local carpenters, they're fishermen, they're the rich.
Eddie
That is so cool.
Bobby Bones
They get about $4 million each. That's awesome. From CBC News.
Eddie
See, just don't give up. Just keep doing it.
Amy
Yeah, I mean, that was definitely worth the wait.
Bobby Bones
That's what we learn here. It was worth the wait if you could guarantee it would happen at some point. Oh, I would never. Just keep going. But you can't guarantee a lottery win because one loss has no effect on the next game. If it were something you could lose at and learn, like, oh, I can get better at this because I didn't win this time, I would say, yeah, keep going. But I don't say that with the lottery. Unless you're just doing it for entertainment only because you don't learn anything from losses. It's not like you get smarter at the lottery. If you play a playoff game in the NFL and you lose, you probably learned a lot of things. Makes it better the next time you're a little more comfortable. You understand? Lottery. Not the same. So, yeah, give up. You know, I'm gonna change it up. Give up. That's what I say. But this is a great story. Change that town's life. That's awesome. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. Wake up. You wake up in the morning's on the mic. So you know what this is? This is the Bobby Bone Show. Now time for the investigative morning corny.
Lunchbox
The morning Corny.
Amy
What sound does a bouncing airplane make room?
Bobby Bones
Boom. Broom. Boom. Bouncing.
Lunchbox
Bouncing.
Bobby Bones
Oh. Oh.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Boeing. Boeing.
Amy
What kind of shoes do plumbers love?
Eddie
Converse.
Lunchbox
Sketchers. Squeakers. High top Plunger Plungers.
Bobby Bones
Pipe snake. What kind of shoes? Adidas.
Amy
The plumbers love.
Lunchbox
Pumas.
Eddie
Sink.
Lunchbox
Crocs. Toilet paper.
Eddie
Rain.
Bobby Bones
Drano. What kind of something there. Okay. What happens to the toilet? What happens?
Lunchbox
It clogs. It's clogs.
Amy
Where do hamsters go on vacation?
Bobby Bones
Wheel.
Lunchbox
Ferris wheel.
Eddie
Two wheel.
Lunchbox
Wheel. Around the world.
Eddie
Hamster.
Lunchbox
Wheel.
Eddie
Gerbil. Gerbly.
Bobby Bones
Hamster. Is it a town?
Lunchbox
Hamster.
Amy
We're at a hamster. Gibbsters like to go on vacation. When? Since when have you been able to ask me questions?
Bobby Bones
I'm talking. I'm just talking about wheel, right?
Amy
If I were to answer, you'd get mad about.
Bobby Bones
I'm talking to my team over here. Is it like, it's got to be a city even old New York. New Hamsterdam.
Eddie
Hamster. New Hampsterdam.
Amy
That's it.
Bobby Bones
Is it New Hampster.
Amy
Amsterdam.
Eddie
Good job.
Amy
Why did the librarian get kicked off the plane? Was why they were overbooked.
Eddie
Oh, that's good.
Bobby Bones
How do we get.
Amy
You got Three. You got all three that you heard, cuz. Like I said, the librarian one. And the buzzer went off.
Bobby Bones
Okay, we'll take it. Lobby bone show. Bonehead story of the day.
Lunchbox
This story comes to us from Akan, Ohio. A school administrator has been put on leave after he sold all the district's lawnmowers on Facebook Marketplace.
Bobby Bones
Were they not looking to sell them?
Lunchbox
No, they weren't looking to sell them. Someone went to go get a mower out of the shed and there were no mowers.
Bobby Bones
What was the habit he was trying to support?
Lunchbox
Well, he. No, he says that he was doing it so he could buy the district new mowers.
Bobby Bones
Well, that's what I thought at first. Like sell them all. You have seven old ones. Buy three new ones. But was that not the case that.
Lunchbox
Well, he says that's what he was going to do with it, but there was no plan in the budget. There was no talk of it. He just went and got them out of the shed, sold them on Facebook Marketplace.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that should be in writing, bud.
Lunchbox
And there was no new mowers. Okay, I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.
Bobby Bones
Amy, what do you have?
Amy
A listener sent me an email about something I said about my kids and I just wanted Yalls thoughts on it because I'm open to feedback.
Bobby Bones
What did you say about your kids?
Amy
Well, I was talking about some of their accomplishments. And the. The subject of the email is why is Amy not able to be fully excited for her children's accomplishments?
Bobby Bones
That's a long subject. I think the subject would be no subject and I just put it all in the body. That's a lot.
Amy
Go ahead with a question mark. So then I go to the body of the email and it's Stevenson. Ranking in state for track is amazing. Congratulations to him. Why did Amy muddy the news by talking about other kids and other teams being faster than Stevenson? Let him shine. Your daughter also has an amazing entrepreneurial spirit, but you talk about the negative when it comes to your kids. Why? Please let your children shine without the negative comments. Amy talks more positively about her ex husband, her new boyfriend and his children. Please lift up your own kids, especially on the big show. Thank you.
Bobby Bones
How did that make you feel?
Amy
Worried that I've come across that I don't let my children shine and am I coming across it as negative at times and do I need to work on how I speak about them? I'm very excited for my son and his running. Like so excited. And I love my daughter's entrepreneurial spirit. I don't. I also may have sometimes negative things to say. I can't think of any right now, but I don't know. When I was talking about him being 12th in the state for running, did I come across as negative in any way?
Bobby Bones
I remember you being like, oh, there are people faster than him. I think maybe you just didn't want to over make it feel like you're overly gassing him up in case somebody else goes, oh, no, that's nothing. Somebody else beat him. I don't know. I think you're just protecting him.
Amy
Yeah, I don't.
Bobby Bones
I think your language was protecting language, but I can see why she would say that.
Amy
Okay. Because again, I'm open to.
Bobby Bones
And also, if you're bragging on them, it feels like you're bragging on yourself. And I don't think you wanted to do that.
Amy
Oh, I have nothing to do with his running.
Bobby Bones
No, I know, but you're his parent. I think that could be a thing. And you don't mean to do it, but you're like, I don't want to brag too much because it seems like I'm bragging because I'm his parent. Yeah.
Amy
Okay. I have no idea. I did not know. I was sort of taken aback by the email. That's why I wanted to share it, because I was like, oh, is this how it's being received when I'm saying it? Because it's certainly not my intent to ever not let my kids shine.
Bobby Bones
I think you let your kids shine in a wonderful way, but I think you're protecting them and. Or you seeming extra braggy.
Amy
Guess what I ordered for State? The state cross country meet.
Bobby Bones
What.
Amy
What are those big heads called when you print out their head and carry on?
Bobby Bones
Big heads.
Amy
No, but something like that.
Bobby Bones
Fat heads.
Amy
Yeah, fat heads. I ordered. I got Stevenson's head, like, picked out a picture of him and got three big fat heads so we can be spread out around the course and, you know, like, he'll look up and see himself and maybe that'll give him an extra little adrenaline push.
Bobby Bones
He's confused and falls down.
Amy
It's like, no, but imagine having that and like, screaming his name. I just placed the order yesterday. I had to do a rush order. Hopefully they come in time.
Bobby Bones
That's cool. I don't think you have to worry about anything. You were doing it from a good place. And I think she just perceived something different. Her perception of what you were saying is different than what I did because I know you Yeah, I know. And there are times people will message us, be like, why do you guys treat each other so bad? It's like, you know why? Because we know each other. We have for 20 years. So we're able to, like, go at each other in a different way. I think it was probably that.
Amy
Yeah. But thank you for the note and I will make sure to lift them up.
Bobby Bones
Are you really. Are you really thinking them?
Amy
Well, I. The fact that somebody is listening, if they take the time to send us a note, I get that. But I'm saying, and they're listening.
Bobby Bones
I don't feel that way because sometimes people just send me hate messages. And I'm not like, you know what? The fact that we're listening and sending me this dm, this four paragraphs long, about how much I suck. I don't think that way all the time.
Amy
I guess, to be fair, I don't think this is a mean, hateful email. They just received whatever I was saying in this way. So, yes, thank you for delivering your feedback kindly. I don't think they were saying anything awful about me. They were just encouraging. Encouraging me to lift up my kids.
Bobby Bones
I don't know if that's the truth.
Lunchbox
It was more of a passive aggressive way.
Amy
Please lift up your own kids. I mean, the part about that I talk more positively about my ex and my new boyfriend and his children.
Bobby Bones
That's what I'm saying. I don't feel like that was a loving message. Little dig, little dig. Yeah. Bye, everybody. The Bobby Bone show theme song written, produced and sang by Reed Yarberry. The show is peppered with jokes, candid talk about relationships, listener calls of congratulations, and a playful “forgotten sounds” game.
Bobby Bones officially shares that he and his wife Caitlin are expecting their first child.

On male vs. female roles in pregnancy:
“She’s the one that’s pregnant with it because she’s the one that’s been sick.” – Bobby (09:49)
“I allowed her to have the children.” – Lunchbox (08:24, jokingly)
On gender reveal and boundaries:
“I’m not gonna say exactly where we are on the stage and not gonna reveal the gender or anything so make it easier for me and don’t ask.” – Bobby (12:31)
Rejected captions for pregnancy post:
“She let me do this to her.” – Bobby (13:38)
“I think it’s mine.” – Bobby (14:14)
On parenthood and his past:

Listener encouragement:
“You have so much genuine, clear insight...I genuinely think you’re going to be one of the most awesome, amazing dads that’s ever existed.” – Dak (21:16)
On rumors from social media absence:
“Do you think if I were going through a divorce, we would take our family on vacation?” – Bobby (13:02)
On adjusting work for fatherhood:
“I haven’t slowed down, but I’ve modified…I've shifted a bit of priorities where I’m working at home.” – Bobby (27:05)
Classic Bobby humor:
“My initial pitch was to not even announce there was a pregnancy, just have the baby exist. Whoa. That’d be crazy.” – Bobby (16:15)
This was a heartfelt, humorous, and genuine episode capturing Bobby Bones at a pivotal moment as he embarks on fatherhood. The candid conversations, listener calls, jokes, and reflections on serious topics like financial security, relationship boundaries, and family expectations make this a rich, must-listen episode for anyone who wants to experience Bobby's evolving journey—with all the laughter and real talk the show is known for.
