This is. Okay, you remember when this happened? We were in Vegas.

So baller of a teenager. Yeah, I remember. Because they shut down. Our curtains broke.

[Eddie]

That's it.

They wouldn't close. They shut the casino down. Yeah. The alleged hack happened in 2023. The name of the group was Scattered Spider or Octo Tempest. Those are cool names. The teen is said to have used LinkedIn to impersonate the MGM grand employee and then called and basically got through on the phone. And he was given access to the system because he was like, yeah, I don't know. I'm Clark. Because he used LinkedIn to know the information about Clark.

Wow.

Las Vegas Police Department said the incident cost multiple casino properties hundreds of millions of dollars and gave hackers access to internal systems. Now, a male teen could end up being charged as an adult.

[Eddie]

Was that last year?

2023.

So two years ago.

Wow. SF gate with that story. I don't know who he sold the information to or how he got in, but we. We all thought it was like Russian hackers. No, we did because it was so sophisticated and it shut down so many casinos. And then once they got in, they were threatening other casinos. And one of the casinos, I think ended up paying like ahead of time to not get hacked. And it all got in because somebody got information from a LinkedIn and called and said, yeah, I know Chuck. I am Chuck. Let me win.

And it was dumb stuff. I remember like the. The car, the key card wouldn't work. And then it's like, sorry, we got hacked. Like, we can't.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, the.

Your curtains can't close.

It shut down, like four casinos. People are opening shared bank accounts with their friends. That sounds like what. That sounds like a lot of friendships that are possibly going to end soon because somebody's gonna be taking out a little too much money.

But it's to, like, save up for something they want to do together. Right?

So sort of, yeah. They talked about this one couple. They saved over a thousand bucks for a future friendship anniversary trip. I got a feeling one of those friends probably gonna come into hard times. Can take a little extra out. Yep. Can't pay it back on time. We Agreed not to do this. Fight amongst friends. Videos of the trend have gone viral. It's financial intimacy with your friends. Can you imagine if I had a bank account with Eddie?

No, I mean any of us, like, can you imagine if we all had one and Lunchbox had access?

Well, I share. My wife and I have all shared accounts.

What about during the season where she. I mean, I don't know her work situation right now, but I know there was a season where she wasn't working.

And you can't touch her food. Like, if she buys chips.

Go for it. Like, it's weird to us. We give you a hard time, and I think it could probably work if we wanted to do that. My wife literally doesn't care, but I don't want to do that.

See, I think it's. We, of course, like to give lunch folks a Hard time. It's just funny to hear how he explains it, because I think if his wife were to share with us her perspective, because obviously she's cool with it, I think we'd be like, oh, okay, this makes sense, because she would probably explain it in a different way.

So he wouldn't take all the money. It's her idea, right? Yeah. Bones, I'm so happy for you. I literally just left a voicemail that. It makes me so happy. Whenever people I love want to have a baby and then they get pregnant, and now you're having a pregnant. Oh, my gosh. Congratulations. I don't even want to leave my name, because I sound crazy, but it's Haley from Missouri. That's funny. Thank you, Hayley. Great call. Yes. So we finally got to announce yesterday that my wife is having a baby. I'm not going to be Mr. We're Pregnant Guy. We're going to have a baby. It's going to be our baby. But she's the one that's pregnant with it because she's the one that's been sick.

So, yeah, we're having a baby, and it's crazy. And it's been the secret that's been the hardest to keep, because it's been a long secret, and it's different than a normal secret. It's like when you got to use the bathroom really bad, and the closer you get to the house, the more it starts hitting you.

It's like, as we were getting closer to being able to tell them, I go, oh, I got to tell somebody. So, yeah, we're having a baby, and she's having the baby.

Right.

But we're gonna have a baby. It's awesome.

I think it's okay for you to say we're having a baby.

I know. I just have seen her go through it.

Oh, yeah.

And I feel guilt with going, Cause I ain't doing crap.

Yeah. I think as long as you don't say we're pregnant.

Yes, because that helps. You know? Not that anybody would think you're not the dad, but you are having a baby.

Well, am got me a book that was like, we're pregnant. Did you know that's what the book was called?

Oh, well, that was more so for you to know the stages of the pregnancy.

Yeah. I've learned so much about pregnancy and stages. Oh, I bet. Yeah, it's been wild.

So yeah, sorry, I should have crossed that out and been like, Caitlyn's pregnant and here's what you need to learn.

Yeah, it's wild. You know, it'd be our first kid and we're very excited about it. But it has been a bit because she's been very sick. Like here's the thing, they might call it morning sickness, but they forgot to say sometimes you're sick for 24 hours a day for two months total and you can't get out of bed.

[Amy]

Yeah. I've often wondered why it's called morning sickness. Are you mourning your life? Yeah. Like, are you just like mourning getting pregnant?

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah.

[Amy]

Because it's so painful.

[Bobby Bones]

Cause you know we're in it now. I'm not gonna say exactly where we are on the stage and not gonna reveal the gender or anything so make it easier for me and don't ask. But I think she was just ready for it to be said. She was getting a lot of weird DMs. So was I. It's like your wife hasn't been on your social media. Are you guys getting divorced? Oh gosh. And like that, however that started. No, she just, we went on vacation and we took her family on vacation. Her mom and her dad and her sister and our brother in law. And she wasn't in any of the pictures. And so people were like, you didn't have your wife in your pictures? Are you guys going through a divorce? And I'm like, do you think if I were going through a divorce. We would take our family on vacation.

Yeah, good point.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah. So, yeah, we're going to do it. Well, I mean, we did it, but now we're going to do it. We're going to have a baby. I had a few other ideas for that caption on the pictures that we posted yesterday, and we ended up just putting, like, a baby emoji and a heart. And my wife and I, we collabed, but I had some ideas. Number one was we both were gonna hold our shirts up and be like, one of us has got a baby in us.

So I just remember when I texted you about it because Caitlin had told me, and then I texted you, like, oh, my gosh, congratulations. And then you were like, what? Like, you reply back your little comedy sketch. He goes, what? Caitlin's pregnant.

Oh, yeah. Another comment was, she didn't like this one. I think it's mine.

This is a bit. Yeah, it isn't. I'm telling you, this ain't a bit. I got a lot of great calls and texts, and I'm not a person when there's really good or bad news that calls anybody, I'll text. But I really admire people who call because. And I didn't want to really answer them because I feel awkward. Like, I feel like they don't even want to talk. They just feel like they have to call. But I got a call from a couple people yesterday, and they were like, just want to say I saw it, and I gasped, and, I don't know, I just called you. And then I feel like they're on the phone way too long with me. Like, they don't really want to be on the Phone with me. So I'm, like, trying to get off the call. The whole time, I'm like, thank you. I'll tell her. And, you know, if. All right. It's just. I'm bad on the phone. Got the future baby. Got an offer a scholarship at Purdue yesterday.

Already? Already? Wow. Yeah. I'm friends with Coach Odom, the football coach there, and he was like, hey, whatever it is, boy or girl, scholarship offer to Purdue right now.

I mean, Caitlin's so athletic.

Yeah. If it gets my wife's athleticism, it's on because she. Her whole family, they are.

It's been. We've been in this for months at this point. It feels good to just finally reveal it.

I think the way you put it of, like, when you have to go to the bathroom, and the closer you get, like, the worse you just have to go. Like you just want to get it out. It's got to feel so freeing that.

[Bobby Bones]

The other analogy is running on a treadmill. Like, the closer you get to that whatever mile mark, you're like, I can't do this much. Like, you really start to go, I don't know if I can do this much longer as you get closer to it. But, yeah, it feels. Feels great to say it. And, you know, my initial pitch was to not even announce there was a pregnancy, just to have the baby exist. Whoa. That'd be crazy. It would just start showing up in pictures. And my wife was like, I don't think so. I have to hide for, like, nine months. And I'm like, yeah, but what a bit, huh?

[Amy]

Then there would be all these things of, like, who's the surrogate? Or where'd y' all get that baby?

[Eddie]

Major rumors.

[Bobby Bones]

No, but we would have pictures to post. Where'd you get the baby? That's a funny one.

[Amy]

Yeah. I mean, that's what I mean. This baby just appears.

[Bobby Bones]

But that's the bit. That's why it's awesome. Just an appearing baby.

So, yeah, it's. It's awesome. I don't even know. I really have no idea.

Are you scared?

Not yet.

She's been so sick. She was so sick for so long that it's mostly just, like, no time to think of anything else except try to get her better.

And I don't know, scared maybe is the right word, but just like, no.

Yeah. Nervous, scared.

I remember being terrified.

Nervous, scared. Yeah. You'll probably. As you get closer, I'm sure there.

Will be anxiety that comes in. But I think the most anxious that I've been was, like, pre all of this, I just. I don't know. I was always scared, and I don't know. I think part of me was like, I'm never going to have a kid, or I may not have a kid. And I'm okay with that because I didn't want to have a kid and be poor because I grew up as a poor kid with no resources. And so we have to worry about that. You know, that's a selfish thing. And there's gonna be other hard things, but to me, that was always the fact, like, I don't want to have to raise a kid. Like, I grew up, and so we don't have to. And again, if it weren't for her, I don't know that I would have ever had a kid. So. Yeah. I really don't know how to talk about. I'm probably gonna say a lot of things wrong because people get offended at everything when talking about people being pregnant and stuff. There was one comment yesterday. Let me read it here. And I didn't go into the comments purposefully and got a lot of them. And this. This comment was like. And again, I'm gonna say a lot of stuff wrong. So if you're offended by what I say, I didn't mean to. But also, kick rocks. Both. Right. Like, I apologize in advance if I say something that's offensive, and I don't mean to be offensive, but this person wrote, glad you had success with IVF from a fellow IV effer. And I'm like, we didn't do ivf. And also, there's nothing wrong with ivf. A lot of my friends have done it.

[Eddie]

But why would they assume that?

[Bobby Bones]

No idea. No idea.

I'll do what needs to be done.

What did you do? Did you do anything different with this last relationship?

Yeah, yeah, I totally changed my whole mindset. But also in the past, guys have. They kind of lead you on a little and get you excited. So your hopes are up, and then they're crushed. With my current one, like, he didn't do that. He followed through with everything. He was the one kind of trying to chase me, whereas I was the one and the other ones trying to get their attention.

And did you do anything different? Did you, like, pause at times? Yeah. You consciously made the decision.

[Abby]

Yeah, because I. Before, I was just, like, spilling my whole guts on the first date, you know, even though I kind of did on the same date. Same with my current. But it worked out.

[Amy]

She said you said you changed your mindset, which I. Yeah, maybe on the first date, she spilled, but then she pulled back.

[Bobby Bones]

Or maybe it's just that she found a guy that that style is compatible with.

[Abby]

Oh, that. That could be it, too. But yeah, no, I really did try to make a conscious effort to be like, okay, calm down. It's gonna be okay. Don't, like, freak out. You know, like, if he's not calling, don't freak out. It's okay.

[Bobby Bones]

And you've heard that if you keep doing the same thing over and over again and you expect different results, that's insane. So I would think if it keeps happening the exact same way and you keep doing the exact same thing, you have to understand that's always going to happen like that. So you have to make a change in order to see change. And that's pretty difficult if it's not what you're. What you'd be drawn to do.

[Amy]

And it's great that she already has this awareness herself, so she's already, like, one step in that direction, because some people aren't even aware they're. They're doing that.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, but Abby knew she was doing it. She couldn't stop.

She's. I feel like she did a little bit. She would have to say pause.

Do you think we're the ones that helped you?

I think it's a mixture of you knowing what's up, but also finding a guy that your style is compatible with. Because it's both, because you're not going to totally change.

I know we just met, but I love you, and as long as you're okay with that. So it's a mix. Like, understand what you're doing. You have good awareness already. There are times where you should just pause a bit when you want to go forward, and there are times you just have to understand that's who you are. You fundamentally can't change who you are, and that's okay. You're probably a really awesome person, and you probably have that in other parts of your life where it makes you awesome to be around. That's my advice. We got Abby out of it. We can get you out of it.

The group have been playing the lottery together for 18 years. Wow. They're local carpenters, they're fishermen, they're the rich.

If it were something you could lose at and learn, like, oh, I can get better at this because I didn't win this time, I would say, yeah, keep going. But I don't say that with the lottery. Unless you're just doing it for entertainment only because you don't learn anything from losses. It's not like you get smarter at the lottery. If you play a playoff game in the NFL and you lose, you probably learned a lot of things. Makes it better the next time you're a little more comfortable. You understand? Lottery. Not the same. This story comes to us from Akan, Ohio. A school administrator has been put on leave after he sold all the district's lawnmowers on Facebook Marketplace.

[Bobby Bones]

Were they not looking to sell them?

[Lunchbox]

No, they weren't looking to sell them. Someone went to go get a mower out of the shed and there were no mowers.

[Bobby Bones]

What was the habit he was trying to support?

[Lunchbox]

Well, he. No, he says that he was doing it so he could buy the district new mowers.

[Bobby Bones]

Well, that's what I thought at first. Like sell them all. You have seven old ones. Buy three new ones. But was that not the case that.

[Lunchbox]

Well, he says that's what he was going to do with it, but there was no plan in the budget. There was no talk of it. He just went and got them out of the shed, sold them on Facebook Marketplace.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, that should be in writing, bud.

And there was no new mowers. Okay, I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.

A listener sent me an email about something I said about my kids and I just wanted Yalls thoughts on it because I'm open to feedback.

[Bobby Bones]

What did you say about your kids?

[Amy]

Well, I was talking about some of their accomplishments. And the. The subject of the email is why is Amy not able to be fully excited for her children's accomplishments?

[Bobby Bones]

That's a long subject. I think the subject would be no subject and I just put it all in the body. That's a lot.

[Amy]

Go ahead with a question mark. So then I go to the body of the email and it's Stevenson. Ranking in state for track is amazing. Congratulations to him. Why did Amy muddy the news by talking about other kids and other teams being faster than Stevenson? Let him shine. Your daughter also has an amazing entrepreneurial spirit, but you talk about the negative when it comes to your kids. Why? Please let your children shine without the negative comments. Amy talks more positively about her ex husband, her new boyfriend and his children. Please lift up your own kids, especially on the big show. Thank you.

How did that make you feel?

[Amy]

Worried that I've come across that I don't let my children shine and am I coming across it as negative at times and do I need to work on how I speak about them? I'm very excited for my son and his running. Like so excited. And I love my daughter's entrepreneurial spirit. I don't. I also may have sometimes negative things to say. I can't think of any right now, but I don't know. When I was talking about him being 12th in the state for running, did I come across as negative in any way?

[Bobby Bones]

I remember you being like, oh, there are people faster than him. I think maybe you just didn't want to over make it feel like you're overly gassing him up in case somebody else goes, oh, no, that's nothing. Somebody else beat him. I don't know. I think you're just protecting him.

[Amy]

Yeah, I don't.

[Bobby Bones]

I think your language was protecting language, but I can see why she would say that.

[Amy]

Okay. Because again, I'm open to.

[Bobby Bones]

And also, if you're bragging on them, it feels like you're bragging on yourself. And I don't think you wanted to do that.

[Amy]

Oh, I have nothing to do with his running.

[Bobby Bones]

No, I know, but you're his parent. I think that could be a thing. And you don't mean to do it, but you're like, I don't want to brag too much because it seems like I'm bragging because I'm his parent. Yeah.

[Amy]

Okay. I have no idea. I did not know. I was sort of taken aback by the email. That's why I wanted to share it, because I was like, oh, is this how it's being received when I'm saying it? Because it's certainly not my intent to ever not let my kids shine.

[Bobby Bones]

I think you let your kids shine in a wonderful way, but I think you're protecting them and. Or you seeming extra braggy.

[Amy]

Guess what I ordered for State? The state cross country meet.

[Bobby Bones]

What.

[Amy]

What are those big heads called when you print out their head and carry on?

[Bobby Bones]

Big heads.

[Amy]

No, but something like that.

[Bobby Bones]

Fat heads.

[Amy]

Yeah, fat heads. I ordered. I got Stevenson's head, like, picked out a picture of him and got three big fat heads so we can be spread out around the course and, you know, like, he'll look up and see himself and maybe that'll give him an extra little adrenaline push.

[Bobby Bones]

He's confused and falls down.

[Amy]

It's like, no, but imagine having that and like, screaming his name. I just placed the order yesterday. I had to do a rush order. Hopefully they come in time.

[Bobby Bones]

That's cool. I don't think you have to worry about anything. You were doing it from a good place. And I think she just perceived something different. Her perception of what you were saying is different than what I did because I know you Yeah, I know. And there are times people will message us, be like, why do you guys treat each other so bad? It's like, you know why? Because we know each other. We have for 20 years. So we're able to, like, go at each other in a different way. I think it was probably that.

[Amy]

Yeah. But thank you for the note and I will make sure to lift them up.

Are you really. Are you really thinking them?

[Amy]

Well, I. The fact that somebody is listening, if they take the time to send us a note, I get that. But I'm saying, and they're listening.

I don't feel that way because sometimes people just send me hate messages. And I'm not like, you know what? The fact that we're listening and sending me this dm, this four paragraphs long, about how much I suck. I don't think that way all the time.

I guess, to be fair, I don't think this is a mean, hateful email. They just received whatever I was saying in this way. So, yes, thank you for delivering your feedback kindly. I don't think they were saying anything awful about me. They were just encouraging. Encouraging me to lift up my kids.

I don't know if that's the truth.

It was more of a passive aggressive way.

Please lift up your own kids. I mean, the part about that I talk more positively about my ex and my new boyfriend and his children.
