Eddie
This is the Bobby Mo Show.
Bobby Bones
All right, voicemails. Go ahead. I know Lunchbox says that he cannot rate how good looking a man is.
Dennis Black
So I'm wondering how he is able.
Bobby Bones
To know that he is good looking. He always says, he's so handsome, he's so this, he's so that. But how does he know if he.
Amy
Can'T rate a man's looks? Have a great day, Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
I look in the mirror, I know I'm really good looking. And the proof's in the pudding. Women let you know. I mean, when all the women are telling you you're so hot, you're so good looking all your life, I mean, it's pretty much known that I'm a 10.
Bobby Bones
And you were told that by women?
Lunchbox
Yes, all the time. I mean, ever since I was young, chicks just, you know, dying to be with me. And so that's just how it works, you know, after years and years and years and years and years of being.
Bobby Bones
Told that if that's the truth, I get it.
Lunchbox
Yes.
Eddie
Yeah, but, but then everyone says that Brad Pitt's really hot, but he doesn't take their word for it. He says, I don't know.
Lunchbox
No, I said, I take your word for it. I said, I guess if you say.
Bobby Bones
So, he can't tell, right? He can't tell. Like if you saw Tom Brady and Eddie standing next to each other, not sure.
Lunchbox
Some people would like Eddie, some people would like Tom Brady.
Bobby Bones
And to you, it's like people that have that disease where they can't tell A face from another person. So you can't identify who's better looking.
Lunchbox
Correct.
Bobby Bones
See, Tom Brady and Sofia Vergara were together.
Lunchbox
That's my story.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So he went to the Bezos wedding and first it was like Tom Brady and Sonny Sweeney were together.
Eddie
Oh, man.
Bobby Bones
Then it's Tom Brady and Sofia Vergara and they're saying it's not romantic, but they were together. I think Tom Brady's just single now.
Eddie
Oh, dude. Ready for men.
Bobby Bones
Retired, like, and just letting it rip.
Eddie
He's got money, he's got the time.
Bobby Bones
Time. He's always had the money, but now he has the time and energy.
Eddie
Well, when he had the money, he was married for the most part, but.
Bobby Bones
He also had a job, so he's had the money for a long time.
Eddie
So.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, and the marriage too.
Amy
So this is being dubbed a summer romance.
Bobby Bones
But yeah, in the same two weeks it was Tom Brady and Sunny Sweeney seen together dancing at the Bezos wedding. Tom Brady and Sofia Vergara together. They were spotted getting close on a star studded yacht trip.
Amy
Oh, Sydney. Yeah, Sydney Sweeney.
Lunchbox
That's a pretty good week though. Sophia and Sydney.
Bobby Bones
If he's having Sophia and Sidney, he's also probably having some others.
Eddie
Oh, absolutely. Those are just the ones we know.
Bobby Bones
But he also could not be with anyone. And they know a Tom Brady headline gets clicks. Oh, I did see a paparazzi picture of him doing an outdoor shower. He had shorts on, but it was like coming out of the Ocean. And he's 46. 47.
Eddie
Looks good.
Bobby Bones
Looks good. Yeah, really good. I could definitely tell if he was standing next to you. Who's Otter?
Eddie
Oh, you can. Lunchbox, can't.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah.
Amy
He's 47.
Eddie
Some people might. Some girls might like me more than any, though. That's what he said.
Bobby Bones
I know, but I'm just. Just keeping it real.
Eddie
Not many did you see the picture of Mahomes?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
And people are.
Bobby Bones
People are mean to Patrick.
Eddie
So mean. Like, well, what's crazy about like, okay, so he's got a dad bod. Whatever. He's still stronger than you.
Bobby Bones
Like, and faster than you.
Eddie
So faster than you.
Bobby Bones
More athletic than you in every way.
Eddie
Exactly.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
People are so hard on him.
Bobby Bones
Then they wouldn't be. He also looks way more in shape than he did even a year ago today. The picture they were using is a weird picture. You can see his abs in the picture.
Eddie
Yeah, but.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, no, but if you're famous, you just catch strays constantly because other people aren't as famous as you and they need something to comment on that will get clicks. So what do you comment on in the season where there are no sports? You find the biggest sports figures to comment on. That's going to get clicks.
Eddie
Yeah. Lunchbox. Did you see the picture of Mahomes?
Lunchbox
I saw them were on a yacht. They were partying, a birthday or something.
Amy
He couldn't tell if he's clothed or not.
Eddie
Clothes, right?
Lunchbox
No, no. I mean, I don't know which point. I don't know which picture they were talking about. There was a bunch of pictures of them on a yacht. And I was like, oh, man, what a life. Then I thought about it. It said they were celebrating a friend's birthday. But Mahomes pays for that yacht, right?
Bobby Bones
It depends. Rich people have rich friends.
Eddie
That's true.
Bobby Bones
Most rich people hang out with people or most people in general. You hang out with people that have a similar situation as you or it gets uncomfortable. It doesn't matter what where you are. If you're super poor, medium, or super rich, like, most of your friends are the same. Ish.
Lunchbox
Okay. Yeah. Because I was thinking, like, they all looked younger. And so I felt like those were his college buddies that, like, he just kept in touch with. And he was like, let's go have a yacht.
Bobby Bones
I don't know that he didn't pay for it, but I'm saying he definitely has rich friends, too. I mean, look at him. All his peers in the NFL are all super rich. Those are his friends.
Eddie
True co workers. Mm. Okay.
Bobby Bones
I think he looks actually good in the picture they were picking on.
Eddie
Yeah. I mean, I've seen where he looks worse and.
Bobby Bones
Yes. And it was unfair then. Now, like, he has abs.
Eddie
Yeah, man.
Bobby Bones
Ray, give me the next voicemail.
Amy
I did the fitness challenge. Knees, the beat. I sprained my ankle and then listened to the next day and heard Amy hurt her back.
Bobby Bones
I thought I could do it.
Amy
I heard an audible pop in my ankle.
Bobby Bones
Amy, how you holding up?
Amy
I think I'm gonna have to go back by the chiropractor today. I'm much better. Much, much. But something still is just a tiny bit off.
Bobby Bones
You know what you didn't do? Knees to feet.
Eddie
You did not do that, Amy. Knees to feet.
Amy
I just shouldn't have done it at all.
Bobby Bones
You know what's weird is that I feel like as far as my life goes, I'm probably in about as good a shape as I've ever been in. Maybe not the tip tip top, but I'm up there in, like, the top 5% of the shape I've ever been in. That being said, there's a difference in walking upstairs shape and being in great shape. Like, I feel like if I'm gonna work out for an hour hard, no problem if I just walk up these stairs one flight here before I walk in the studio.
Eddie
Out of breath.
Bobby Bones
I'm out of breath.
Eddie
Dude, that's crazy. I thought the same thing.
Bobby Bones
I'm out of breath from just a flight of stairs.
Amy
What's going on, guys?
Eddie
I feel like I'm sick because of one flight of stairs.
Amy
What?
Eddie
Like, really?
Bobby Bones
Like.
Eddie
Like, dude, I just want.
Amy
You're saying hardcore workout.
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
Y' all do the exact same workouts together, and y' all are both struggling coming out.
Eddie
I just hiked for 40 miles, like Zion National Park.
Bobby Bones
I played pickleball nonstop. Cut sprints. And I have better stamina than most people. I play against one flight of stairs. I'm walking there.
Amy
Like, maybe these stairs are just extra.
Bobby Bones
Steep, but it's only one flight. We park in the garage. Tim meets me outside. We walk in, I walk up. One little thing, two little things. I walk in and just start reading commercials, like, before we start the show. And I'm like this so sleep number, and I have to, like, stop and catch my breath from one flight of stairs.
Eddie
It's got to be allergies, huh? Like, it's gotta be, like, something with seasonal allergies. Yeah.
Amy
Like, it's not your body.
Eddie
It's gotta be.
Bobby Bones
It's weird because I wrote downstairs and I didn't think about it again until she talked about how she tried that and we're all getting older. But then it's just weird because again, I can go hard, but I can't walk up a flight of steps without being out of breath. It's a different in shape. All right, next one. Ray, hey, about Eddie's hot dogs. You have to give them options.
Lunchbox
Jalapeno hot dogs, cheese hot dogs.
Bobby Bones
Not just the one plain Jane hot dog. I'm really curious if he's going to do it. I'll be listening tomorrow to see what happens. So we sent this last night, this voicemail. Eddie is going to try it. We're going to find a time next week or the week after. And Eddie will have 24 hours, and we'll stream and you'll have a password, and we'll find a strategic way to do it. And he has 24 hours to eat 70 hot dogs. And if you heard the show today, I'm putting in 500. Amy's putting in 100 lunchbox.
Eddie
Who'd never give money.
Bobby Bones
Who never. He's so sure you won't do it. He put in 100.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Eddie
I love that. I love that challenge.
Bobby Bones
$700.
Eddie
That fires me up even more. To eat 70.
Bobby Bones
To take his money specifically.
Eddie
Yes. Yes. But we're not doing jalapeno. We're not doing cheese hot dogs. We're doing regular hot dogs.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
And I want to cook some of them too. I want to put a little flavor.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah, I would cook them.
Eddie
I want to enjoy the hot dog. I don't want to shove it down.
Bobby Bones
My mouth if it's not more filling. I would definitely cook it because, again, you're not timed. Yeah, it's macro timing. 24 hours. It's more like a marathon than it is running sprints.
Eddie
And what I'm thinking, too, is when you're cooking it, you know, like, your brain gets excited. Like, maybe tells your stomach, hey, you're about to eat some more hot dogs, so get ready. Because you smell the good smell of hot dogs. You know, like, I don't know. The body's weird like that.
Bobby Bones
You excited about it at all? Nope.
Eddie
Not at all. I'm scared because I started thinking, like, all right, like, I can probably easily do five, Right. In an hour.
Bobby Bones
Do you think you're gonna try to get ahead?
Eddie
Yes. Like, that's the strategy, I think, to.
Bobby Bones
Get ahead, like, in, like, two, three hours, 15 or something.
Eddie
What I was thinking was. I was just thinking about that this morning. Like, okay, if I can do 30 in 12 hours, which would that be Going hard, like, just going early, then I can just relax a little bit, eat 10 at my own pace, and then 10 more, and then that last 10 is where I'm gonna be like, you're short 10.
Bobby Bones
You're short 10.
Eddie
You're still, oh, I need 40 left.
Bobby Bones
70.
Eddie
I want to do 40 first.
Bobby Bones
Got it. Because your math wasn't math.
Eddie
I have this calculation.
Lunchbox
I was like, 30, and I'm dyscalculia hours.
Eddie
So, yeah, the 40 early and then the 30. Push it to the end, man.
Bobby Bones
I would try to go 50 early and then try to, I don't know, get in the 20.
Eddie
Like, think about it. How's your. How's my body gonna take 50 hot dogs?
Bobby Bones
How's your body gonna take 70 hot dogs? Can't wait to find out.
Eddie
Well, like, Amy's saying, I gotta, like, kind of get the system moving it.
Lunchbox
I don't think I'll be able to sleep.
Bobby Bones
I'd have a strategy What?
Lunchbox
I don't think I'll be able to sleep.
Amy
Oh, you're gonna be so uncomfortable. Yeah, that's fine.
Lunchbox
So you might as well just stay up and eat.
Eddie
I don't know. Sometimes like after a big dinner, I'm like, oh, I'm ready to go to bed.
Amy
This is more than a big dinner, though.
Eddie
And then think about hot dogs for breakfast. Like, that's crazy. Like, I've never eaten a hot dog in the morning.
Bobby Bones
Kid just eat baloney or something for like 24 hours.
Eddie
Yeah, no, not 24 hours.
Amy
Just every meal.
Eddie
Every. Yeah, it was longer than that.
Bobby Bones
Oh, but okay, but it wasn't like force feeding. It wasn't 70 sandwiches.
Eddie
No, it's just like he. For the. Until he can bring his grades up, he can just have bologna sandwiches. Because in the real world that would be all you can afford.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Eddie
Do mediocre work.
Bobby Bones
All our bits aren't running together, man. To be honest with you, I know what we've done. All our bits start to just.
Eddie
But this might be the dumbest one I've ever agreed to do.
Bobby Bones
$700, though. That's the only reason that you're considering it? Because that is a significant amount of money.
Eddie
Yeah, but if I take down 60 and can't do 70, I don't get any money.
Bobby Bones
I'm really hoping for 69. He just can't do it. And he taps out.
Eddie
No, If I get 69, trust me, I'm shoving that thing down my mouth.
Amy
Yeah, he will.
Bobby Bones
All right. Is that it? Is that on the voicemails, Ray?
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay, cool. Around the room.
Eddie
That was weird.
Bobby Bones
Amy.
Amy
So my daughter is taking the act this Saturday.
Bobby Bones
Oh, dang.
Amy
So all week she has been studying and I'm actually really proud of her. Like she's dedicated time at the kitchen table every single day. And she will through Friday. And then Friday has a plan to go to bed early, wake up early on Saturday, eat a good breakfast. I think she has to be at the test at 7:30 and they said if you're a minute late, you can't take it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you don't get there 7:30, you put it in your phone that you need to get there at 7:10.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So then if something does happen because.
Amy
You can't miss, we're getting there early.
Bobby Bones
So I have a lot of questions. How many times can she take it if she were to take it this time, all before she graduates?
Amy
Oh, good question. I don't know. I mean, I think she could take it. I mean, I took The SAT three times.
Bobby Bones
Right. But I'm saying if she took this because she's a summer now in her senior year, she's going into her senior year next year. She could probably take it, what, three more times next year.
Amy
Maybe she could.
Bobby Bones
My advice to people would be take it as early as you can, because it's more so about one not being nervous for it and not putting all the pressure on yourself to have to kill it. Because if you wait till your senior year, it's like, oh, God, everything's going into this. And so if you're able to do it. I like that she's doing it before senior year. I. I took it in ninth grade.
Amy
Because I never even took the act, so I don't.
Lunchbox
I don't even know why is she taking that? Not the sat.
Amy
I don't.
Eddie
The colleges, for some reason are requiring acts.
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
More than.
Amy
They're just doing whatever her guidance.
Bobby Bones
I only took the act. I never took the sat.
Eddie
There you go.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
See?
Amy
And I was reverse of that.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
So my son's tutor said, maybe kind of what you're saying is take it one time, feel it out like what you were confident on, what you weren't confident on, and then let's go back and work on the questions you weren't confident on, and then we can take it again.
Bobby Bones
I would also learn how to take the test, not the actual knowledge. There's a difference.
Eddie
What do you mean?
Amy
Oh, yeah, that's how she operates. She'll figure that out.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you have to. Taking that test is about learning how they're going to give you the test. Probably what the questions are going to be about, specifically. More so than learning all the math they could possibly ask.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's a strategy of what you think the presentation is going to be, somewhat predicting it based on models that they have and practice tests that they have.
Amy
Which is what I mean. She's doing specific ACT prep this year.
Bobby Bones
For sure. For sure. You can take practice tests that are probably almost exactly like you're going to get. Not the same exact questions, but about the same exact things. But take it and take it a bunch because you'll feel more comfortable every single time you do it. No, I took it in 9th grade and then 11th grade twice my senior year. Twice.
Amy
Oh, my God. So you took it five times.
Lunchbox
What is wrong with you?
Bobby Bones
I took it in ninth grade. I made a 24. So I had a scholarship to any university in Arkansas at 24 or at 9th grade.
Amy
Okay, and then what'd you get? What's your highest score?
Bobby Bones
I think 30.
Eddie
30.
Bobby Bones
30, 31, something like that. I didn't hit like 35 or 36. Those were the perfect kids. But I felt really good because I got my school paid for.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But I think I got a 30. I don't know what the criteria is now on what is in state tuition and what. But what does she. What's her goal?
Amy
I don't take it. I don't know. I haven't asked her her goal. I guess I could ask her that today. Well, maybe she doesn't need one right now.
Bobby Bones
The goal might be the first time just to do it.
Amy
Yes. I think that that's so nervous. No experience with this type of thing at all.
Bobby Bones
So yeah, send the results in an envelope at all or if you can just log on now and get them. We got ours mailed to us.
Amy
Yeah. I imagine we're just going to log on somewhere and it'll be Portal.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Ah, good luck.
Amy
Yeah. So. And she was gonna drive. It's at a college campus. But I feel like that's kind of hard to figure out and I just want her to focus. So I've told her, I said I'll take you and drop you off if you want and then I'll pick you up door to door. That way you don't have to like. Because I don't know, parking on a college campus, that would add extra nerves for me. Maybe because parking in college was so difficult.
Bobby Bones
I don't think there's a big difference as far as the 10,000ft up view. So if it's comfortable to her, great. I don't think she, if she's like, no, I'll do it. I wouldn't want to.
Amy
I don't want to be a helicopter parent. Like maybe it'd be good for her to have to navigate the parking and figure out how to do that.
Bobby Bones
I mean I would like to be dropped off places all the time now.
Eddie
Absolutely.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I don't think it's a helicopter parent thing.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
But also I think it's going to help her a ton if she's like, no, I'm fine, I don't. It's not a big deal.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's cool. That's exciting.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's also nerve wracking which is why you want to take it many times before.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I saw that Superman. There's a new Superman movie coming out. So I went and watched the preview trailer, whatever you call it. That looks terrible.
Bobby Bones
I think it looks good.
Eddie
I Think it looks good, too.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think the Lex. The Lex Luther guy I really like. Yeah, I watched him in the juror number 10 or whatever that. Number two.
Eddie
Yeah, that's good.
Bobby Bones
Six, maybe. Yeah.
Lunchbox
You guys really think that looks good? Like the.
Eddie
I think I'm gonna go on Friday.
Lunchbox
The sea. What do you call it? The.
Bobby Bones
Oh, it comes out tomorrow. Tomorrow?
Lunchbox
Yeah, the AI Graphics or whatever. Look terrible.
Bobby Bones
AI Graphics. Superman.
Eddie
Hey, let's all go together.
Bobby Bones
No, I don't want to do that. But Superman is out tomorrow.
Eddie
Let me text K. No, we can go together, man.
Lunchbox
It looked bad.
Eddie
Remember we went to go see the Joker together? That's fun. I don't remember shared popcorn and stuff.
Bobby Bones
I remember that.
Lunchbox
I don't know. I just saw.
Eddie
Remember us going to the movie together? Dude, good times.
Bobby Bones
I remember going to watch fast and furious 1100 for Mike's birthday.
Eddie
That was actually fun.
Amy
That was fun.
Bobby Bones
It was great movie. Wasn't that great. But the Experience was fun because we had the whole theater, though. That was cool because we rented the theater. What annoys me about you? Yeah. Because Covid and they were, like, doing anything to get people to come. What's annoying about theater is all the other people going to be so bad if you just went to, like, a big room and watched a movie.
Eddie
The best part is just, like, throwing your popcorn on the floor, leaving your trash there. Love that. What?
Bobby Bones
What's wrong with you?
Eddie
What do you mean?
Bobby Bones
Like, like, you don't take your trash with you and put in the can after it's over.
Eddie
No, no, because you have all those. Have you ever left the theater? You see the line of people waiting with their brooms and their things? Like, there's, like. We're employing six kids.
Amy
What? No, they don't.
Bobby Bones
Not Texas Roadhouse.
Amy
Throw everything. I don't.
Bobby Bones
I guess you can, but I don't think everyone does. No, I don't. I take all the trash. We take all the trash out.
Eddie
You've never walked out. And like, yes, I have.
Bobby Bones
And mostly I'm like, man, those people suck. Or, it was an accident. Oh, if I spill popcorn, I'm not going to. I'm not going to go down my hand and clean it up. But I'm going to try not to spill popcorn.
Amy
Right. But that's literally what the broom is for, is for anybody that spilled candy or popcorn. It's not for people to just, like, drop it.
Eddie
I honestly thought it was part of, like, the experience.
Bobby Bones
Texas Roadhouse is a great point. Yeah.
Eddie
But people.
Bobby Bones
People, they're gonna have that job anyway.
Eddie
There's like six kids, though.
Bobby Bones
But it's like not pulling your shopping cart back up. When I worked at Hobby Lobby. Yeah, I didn't like those people. But could they leave it out? Absolutely. Was, I guess, the rules. But it's the same thing.
Eddie
That's rude.
Bobby Bones
No, it's. It's the same thing.
Eddie
But, like, you know, like at the. In the parking lot, they have the little areas like return your cart here. They don't have that in the movies.
Bobby Bones
Like, called trash cans. They do literally have that right corner. Yeah. They have the return your trash.
Eddie
That's another thing, though. I was at a 3D movie and I threw my trash in where the glasses went. I'm like, oh, my.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that I feel, though. I think a lot of people did. Lot of people did. My wife said that Superman's out today. Yeah.
Amy
Yeah. Watch it tonight.
Eddie
You guys want to go tonight?
Bobby Bones
I don't, but I think it looks good. Yeah. Movie mike going tomorrow night? Yeah.
Lunchbox
Gosh, it look, man, I don't know. I thought they had, like. I didn't think it looked real. Like, the graphics just looked terrible.
Eddie
Have you seen the.
Bobby Bones
The older graphic expert all of a.
Lunchbox
Sudden, like, with the AI, Whatever they were doing, it didn't even look like, believable.
Bobby Bones
I don't know. I've seen previous for it. I didn't think that whatever he said, graphic, I don't know what is. Didn't look so corny to me that I thought about it. But it doesn't mean I won't go watch it and think I may have the same thoughts when I watch it.
Dennis Black
They are trying to get back to.
Bobby Bones
Like, a more whimsical Superman and they're like, restarting the whole DC universe. So it kind of has a little bit more of a playful tone to it. I would say. Oh, I don't like that, though. But it. So it's not going to be like a dark, gritty man of Steel Superman.
Eddie
That's cool. I mean, the first Superman's were kind of funny like that. A little.
Bobby Bones
He's wearing the trunks again, which she stopped wearing. So some people say that's kind of cheesy, but does he make little jokes? I don't know. I like my superhero movies now to be mostly serious.
Eddie
Superman never really made jokes. People around him did.
Bobby Bones
Iron man was kind of funny, but that was kind of. That character. Robert Downey Jr. Was also really good at that.
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
Mm.
Bobby Bones
But I like when, like Dark Knight, he didn't make any jokes. He Was miserable.
Eddie
He didn't look fun to hang out.
Amy
The Joker died. That's how dark that movie was.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's a good point too.
Amy
He got so. Didn't they say part of.
Bobby Bones
I don't think the Joker's.
Amy
Obviously you're speculating, but like if you're.
Bobby Bones
I don't think that movie role made him commit suicide. I think there were probably a lot.
Amy
It's obviously already in a dark place and then you're playing a dark role.
Eddie
You're talking about Heath Ledger.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
No.
Lunchbox
You think he. I don't think he meant to die, guys.
Amy
What?
Bobby Bones
I believe it was an overdose.
Lunchbox
It was an overdose?
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
In his apartment.
Lunchbox
Yeah. I don't think.
Amy
Well, there was speculation because he. He did like what Jared Leto did with the movie Method acting. Yes. Yeah. And he was so engrossed into that role that there's this theory that like he got really depressed in like this whole thing and it led to. That's like a theory, though I don't know that there's facts or anything.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, because I think Jack Nicholson also mentioned it too of like the role itself changes you. Like it messed with him when you did it. Like I feel like I could do any role and. And an hour later be like, I'm going good.
Amy
Really?
Eddie
Cuz I'm an actor.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. But that's what makes them great though, obviously. Mike, is there any speculation that he was a purposeful overdose? I don't think, no. I think he was just in a pretty bad place and it just happened to be a really dark role that maybe didn't help the situation. Because if you. What do you overdose on?
Eddie
Some have pills.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think some kind of prescription pills. But if you think about how much he immersed himself in that role, like he became a different person when he was on screen, like completely.
Eddie
It was crazy. The day he died was the day my son was born. And I'll never forget that. Cuz it was like, whoa, Heath Ledger died. And then like, oh, I'm having a baby. Like somebody died. Somebody came into the world.
Bobby Bones
Any chance that spirit went from Heath Ledger to your kid? Do you see?
Eddie
I mean. Not yet. No, not yet.
Bobby Bones
I guess I had always thought Heath Ledger was like so sad because he was super depressed and then he died of overdose. That those were married in a way. Like he purposefully overdosed same.
Amy
But it makes sense that I guess we'll never know.
Eddie
No, we won't.
Amy
Unless I guess if you're.
Bobby Bones
Unless they know.
Amy
Doing it intentionally, you may take way more than he took or something.
Bobby Bones
I don't know. We don't know. All right, Superman's out. I asked my wife yesterday, I said, hey, Eddie's gonna try to eat 70 hot dogs. Oh, gosh, you know, do you think he can do it? And her response was, it depends how bad he needs the money pretty bad. I said, do you think Eddie can eat 70 hot dogs in 24 hours? And her answer was, well, it depends how bad he needs the money. And I said, that's a good point. She goes, because I can eat 100 if I'm. You're going to kill me if I don't.
Eddie
I don't know. That's the thing. I just don't know how my body's going to take it, man. Like again, every time I eat, I'm like, oh, I'm full. And I just eat like a little bowl of salad. I'm like, how am I going to take hot dogs down?
Amy
Right now we're talking about it and a hot dog just sounds so good to me. So I feel like I could eat.
Bobby Bones
Stop.
Amy
This sounds 70, I don't know. But it's not. Like I'm so hungry right now and a hot dog actually sounds good that I feel like I could eat a lot.
Eddie
It's true. Like when you're hungry, you're like, oh, man, I can. I can eat anything right now. But then after like five, you're just like, okay, I'm done.
Bobby Bones
Are you talking yourself out of it now?
Eddie
No. Okay, I'm just fine.
Amy
Sounds fun. Do it.
Bobby Bones
I think it's exciting.
Eddie
Fun for you guys.
Bobby Bones
I think it's exciting.
Lunchbox
It's like going to the carnival, man.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. You want some cotton candy? Making a whole deal.
Lunchbox
Funnel cake.
Bobby Bones

Bobby Bones
So what happened to Chappaquiddick?
Amy
Well, it really depends on who you talk to.
Bobby Bones
There are many versions of what happened in 1969 when a young Ted Kennedy drove a car into a pond and.
Amy
Left a woman behind to drown. There's a famous headline, I think in the New York Daily News.
Lunchbox
It's Teddy Escapes, Blonde drowns. And in a strange way, right, that.
Amy
Sort of tells you the story really became about Ted's political future, Ted's political hopes. Will Ted become president?
Bobby Bones
Kappaquiddick is a story of a tragic death and how the Kennedy machine took control.
Amy
And he's not the only Kennedy to survive a scandal.
Bobby Bones
The Kennedys have lived through disgrace, affairs, violence, you name it. So is there a curse? Every week we go behind the headlines and beyond the drama of America's royal family.
Amy
Listen to United States of Kennedy on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Eddie
I know a lot of cops and they get asked all the time, have.
Bobby Bones
You ever had to shoot your gun? Sometimes the answer is yes. But there's a company dedicated to a future where the answer will always be no. Across the country, cops called this Taser the revolution.
Eddie
But not everyone was convinced it was that simple.
Bobby Bones
Cops believed everything that Taser told them. From Lava for Good and the team.
Eddie
That brought you Bone Valley, comes a.
Bobby Bones
Story about what happened when a multi.
Eddie
Billion dollar company dedicated itself to one visionary mission.
Bobby Bones
This is Absolut Season 1, Taser Incorporated. I get right back there and it's bad. It's really, really, really bad. Listen to new episodes of Absolute Season 1, Taser Incorporated on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Eddie
The Bobby Bones.
Bobby Bones
Show Bobby Bones. All right, let's continue around the room. Morgan.
Amy
Oh, yeah, okay.
Bobby Bones
By the way, Morgan was mentioning some company survey. I don't. Did you guys have to do this?
Eddie
No, she mentioned it to me too. I was like, I didn't get anything.
Bobby Bones
What is this? Evaluating our skills survey.
Amy
Wait, what does it mean that I.
Bobby Bones
Got it and you guys didn't?
Eddie
I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I haven't checked my company email in four years.
Amy
Okay, so it came. Well, it came through, like, workday, which is our normal thing. And it said, as an ongoing part of development at iHeartMedia, we're excited to introduce you to our core skills assessment, a process designed to support your growth and success in your role. Oh, and you're supposed to go in and, like, put in your core skills. Who is you, like, individually, and you're supposed to grade yourself on your core skills.
Bobby Bones
Oh, we supposed to do ourself? A's across the board.
Lunchbox
Pretty easy.
Bobby Bones
A's across the board. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Open book test.
Eddie
What to work on? Nothing. Nothing.
Bobby Bones
Perfect. Give them a raise. Yeah, yeah. I don't know. No one else said anything about this to me.
Amy
I just saw it come through and we have until July 25th to do it. And I went in there and looked at it, and you have to, like, write. It's like a report on yourself. It feels awkward.
Bobby Bones
I just finished this thing that Scuba sent me, and he was like, hey, can you finish this by the end of the day? And I'm like, all right. So I log in and it's for our sales team to know what you like so they can sell it. But I'm telling you, it took an hour long time. It was like, have you ever eaten food? If so, what kind? And I'm like, I'm writing down all the foods I eat. You ever been in a state? If so, what's the name of the town and who'd you meet? It took forever. Forever. And I literally clicked it because it was like, can you get it done by the end of the day? So I'm thinking it's going to take 5, 7 minutes. It took out over an hour. You guys all did this? Yeah, the last 10 questions. N A. N a. N a. I didn't read them.
Eddie
N A. Oh, those were the good ones, dude. The last ones.
Bobby Bones
But they were like, what alcohol do you. Well, I don't have any. Na, Na. Have you done heroin? Na.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I did have one. What? Which one of these restaurants have you eaten at? It's like 700 restaurants. It's like, well, I've eaten it pretty much all of them.
Bobby Bones
And it'd be like, what's your dream endorsement?
Eddie
Oh, gosh.
Bobby Bones
What did you guys put?
Eddie
I mean, mine was Whataburger, for sure.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think I put Taco Bell. What'd you put?
Amy
I'm trying to think. I know I had a good one.
Bobby Bones
My, my. I wrote down anything. Sports apparel, like, and I listed, like, 10 companies. Then I moved on to the next one.
Eddie
That's great. That's above and beyond.
Bobby Bones
But I just wrote something anyway.
Amy
Oh, I put Apple, too.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you know, because, like, that'd be cool. Yeah, that's a good one.
Amy
That will happen.
Bobby Bones
Morgan, what's your story?
Amy
Okay, so speaking of, like, surveys, there was a list of the 10 most unhealthy fast food restaurants in the United States.
Bobby Bones
I always feel like these are clickbait or they're just click chasers. Because any place even healthy or any place super unhealthy is going to have healthy and unhealthy options. But. Okay, go ahead.
Amy
Yeah, and it was based on a bunch of, like, details on, like, score ratings across the board. So it took a lot of things into account. But do you guys want to know? Like, try and guess in here?
Bobby Bones
No, we'll move on. No, I'm just kidding.
Eddie
You don't want to guess, though, do you?
Lunchbox
No.
Bobby Bones
I would assume it's a fast food place. Well, yeah, because again, yeah, I would assume. Let me just pick some. I'm driving down the road. Wendy's.
Amy
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
That's number one.
Bobby Bones
Number one.
Amy
Depends what you order.
Bobby Bones
That's what I'm saying. Like, it feels.
Eddie
Because they have salads there, too.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Some salads, though, are actually worse for you than some of, like, just the meat and bread stuff.
Lunchbox
Is it because you put that sauce.
Eddie
On there, the dressing?
Bobby Bones
Like, I'm sure Taco Bell is on the list.
Amy
Yes. At number three.
Bobby Bones
And you can eat really healthy at Taco Bell if you choose to. If they put Sonic, I'm be mad. They put sonic. Yeah.
Amy
Number two.
Eddie
Oh, wow. Number two. Yeah. KFC's probably on there. Fried chicken.
Amy
KFC is number five.
Bobby Bones
That's the point. You can just picture it. Drive down the road, pick the biggest brands, and give people something to talk about.
Amy
You know what shocked me, though, was Quiznos. Quiznos is like a sandwich place, but.
Lunchbox
It'S all the bread. It's all the bread. And Quiznos still around.
Amy
Yeah, it is.
Bobby Bones
I haven't been to Quiznos in a long time, but There was a season when I was at Quiznos all the time.
Eddie
The toasted bun?
Lunchbox
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Like there was a potbelly season in my life.
Lunchbox
Oh, that place is great.
Amy
I've never been there. Don't have one of those, like, downtown probably.
Bobby Bones
I mean, I've not been to one in a while, but I used to love potbelly. I had a subway season, but that was years, like high school and then living in Austin those first few years. A lot of subway I definitely had. But I go to the same place all the time.
Eddie
It's kind of your thing.
Bobby Bones
If I have a thing, it's my only thing for a long time until I'm out. Then I never go back there again.
Eddie
What was the one in Austin after you play golf every single time?
Bobby Bones
Not just golf anywhere. I go to Galaxy Cafe.
Eddie
Galaxy Cafe.
Bobby Bones
Ate that two, three times a day, five days a week.
Eddie
Yeah, that was crazy.
Bobby Bones
And I'll get the same rap, but I'm okay with that. I can eat the same thing every day until I'm done, and then I'm done. So, Eddie, what do you have over there?
Eddie
So have you been following the story about this couple that went to Turks and Caicos in June? I think it was like June 25th, they're in Turks and Caicos, they're celebrating like some kind of anniversary or something. And then the wife wakes up at 7am and realizes her husband's just not there. Like, doesn't know where he is. So she calls the cops. They figure it all out. They look at the security camera and at 4am he walks out of the condo and like heads to the street and he goes missing. Well, just like two days ago, they found a body. They're not saying that it's his, but they're kind of saying that it's his. The news is like, they found a body that resembles everything about him. But the officials are technically saying, like, we don't want to jump to conclusions yet. Like, yes, it's kind of the shoes he was wearing. Yes, it's the shorts he was wearing. But we don't know yet.
Bobby Bones
But it's kind of strange theory. I haven't heard the story, so all this is new to me. What's the working theory?
Eddie
That's it. There's no theory. Like, the only thing is he left his passport at home, he took his cell phone with him and that's it. He just walked and he was found 20, like a, like a 20 minute walk away from where he was staying.
Bobby Bones
Authorities in Turks and Caicos are working to determine if a decomposing body found in a bay is the missing New Yorker they've been looking for. The family of Brian Terrace hired a PI to help with the search. Terrence and his wife Maria had planned on spending seven days in paradise. The couple left their home in Manhattan for what was supposed to be a relaxing one year anniversary celebration. But when Maria woke up, couldn't find her husband, she knew something was up. One of the last images is him. Security camera outside the villa where he was staying at the paradise inn. Taken at 3:40am on Wednesday, June 25. He's alone. His family has since hired. Again. I've known this story for 45 seconds, but I am looking at the pictures and looking at the video. It looks to me like the guy just went for a walk. He's in athletic wear, tennis shoes, shorts. It looks like he's just going for a walk in the middle of the night. Or if I'm like super, like I don't know his background or like maybe going to buy some drugs or something.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And that could also have happened and that could have been a thing turned bad. But I feel like whatever he was doing, it was something that turned bad. Yeah. Otherwise you think she killed him.
Amy
Yeah. Or he was running away from his own.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah.
Eddie
Not once did I think that she killed him.
Amy
Oh, I didn't think that.
Bobby Bones
I always think it's the other person. Yeah.
Amy
When they disappear, my first thought was she's like, I don't know where he went. And I'm like, yes, you do.
Eddie
Well, and her story is funny too, because it's like she woke up at like 2 in the morning, he was watching TV and she's like, oh, come to bed. He's like, now I'm gonna stay up a little longer. Then she went back to bed, Woke up at 7, he's gone.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Looking at the picture because he looks like he put some a bit of time into his clothes. It wasn't like he's like wasted and stumbling in jeans and a wet part of a shirt's wet because he's so messed up. He's in a T shirt and shorts at like 4 in the morning. Running shoes and socks. So it looks like.
Amy
Could he have been going for a run? Because four in the morning, if he's in New York, like depending on what does he do for business, maybe he's used to getting up early and working out.
Bobby Bones
He either was going out to do something and went wrong or he's going out to do something bad. And it Went wrong.
Amy
He was awake watching TV at 2am.
Bobby Bones
So what do you think, Mike? I mean, yeah, he looks like he's in a stride. Like it's purposeful that he's dressed like that. But I mean, yeah, it could be him going to buy drugs or maybe like find a woman, hook up with something.
Eddie
That's the first thing I think about.
Bobby Bones
Oh, women.
Eddie
You know, he's on some website on his phone, he's like, oh man, I.
Bobby Bones
Can get like one year anniversary, you got to hook up with a woman.
Amy
A website.
Lunchbox
People are shady. I thought maybe earlier in the night he met someone on the resort and was like, hey, I got something for. Either he was drugs or a woman. And he was like, just meet me out here at this time. So he goes, that's how he's trying to stay up by watching tv. Wife's asleep. Okay, it's good to go. I can be back by seven. It went bad.
Bobby Bones
Knowing the story for five minutes, my prediction is he went, man, he's dressed in workout clothes. Don't you think, Mike?
Eddie
I don't see that picture.
Bobby Bones
He's dressed in workout clothes. I can definitely see him going for a run and getting jumped.
Eddie
Oh, like shorts.
Lunchbox
But who goes running at 3 in the morning?
Bobby Bones
4:30, I think, right? Is it the time? Yeah, 4:30 is different than 3.
Eddie
That video.
Bobby Bones
You know what?
Lunchbox
He hadn't even been to bed.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, three, four. Yeah, you're right. You're right. If it were 4:30, I could say run. It's an hour. It's an hour earlier. So it can't be a. Unless he's like, can't sleep and goes for a run.
Eddie
Just walk in circles in your living room.
Lunchbox
Right.
Eddie
Don't go in a random place that you're in another country. Another country.
Bobby Bones
Okay, I'm going to go. Draft pick one, going to buy drugs. Draft pick two. Woman couldn't sleep, going for a run. I don't go to the woman and.
Eddie
My draft pick one's.
Lunchbox
Woman number one is drugs. What number two is? Woman number three is. I don't know what he was doing.
Amy
What kind of drugs.
Bobby Bones
I wonder if he's also like super in shape because if so, and he couldn't sleep, if he has like a. Then I can definitely see him going for a run.
Amy
I just think it's so risky to buy drugs in another country.
Bobby Bones
Eddie, you're using his face. That's not. That's mean.
Eddie
What do you mean? You asked him. You don't look like he's.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you're Right. You know what? I'm gonna. You know what? He may be a new runner.
Eddie
That is right, though. Like one year anniversary. Is he really trying to tune his wife? I don't know. It's weird. Oh, and guys, that story sucks.
Bobby Bones
It sucks for them. Like, it feels fiction because it's. We don't know them.
Eddie
Right.
Bobby Bones
And there's so much this that happens in the news. Yeah, that's crazy.
Eddie
The authorities and Turks and Caicos are saying they're asking the public, please don't speculate on what happened.
Bobby Bones
Oh, God dang wasted.
Amy
That's all we did.
Bobby Bones
We just, like, speculated at the highest level. You didn't tell us that.
Eddie
Why don't you lead with it, Thread.
Bobby Bones
That NBC is gonna do a Wicked special before they release Wicked for good, which is part two of the Wicked. I like Wicked the play. I haven't watched Wicked the movie yet, which is half of the play.
Eddie
The movie. The movie's good on Peacock.
Bobby Bones
Okay, So I really enjoyed the production. I saw it live.
Eddie
Wow.
Bobby Bones
I thought it was amazing. I think I've seen it twice. Something about Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. They annoy me a little bit. Why? I don't know. I feel like they think they're better than me.
Amy
Oh, because of like all their press junk and stuff. I don't know anything you've seen.
Bobby Bones
I. Unfairly or fairly, I don't know.
Eddie
Did you not hear my report on Ariana Grande?
Bobby Bones
I for sure did, but I'm not annoyed by her in general. Okay. Even though she is an entitled kid and I don't think she understands her. I don't know her, so it's hard for me to say that, but I think she's. I understand her, but I'm not bothered by her because she just. All those kids are like that. Something about that whole production felt like they were talking down to me the whole time. I don't know why, but I didn't watch it. But I really liked the story.
Eddie
Wait, you watched the production with them?
Bobby Bones
No, I watched it live. I've seen it live twice with. No, no, they didn't do it live, okay? They just did the movie.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I saw it once here because they toured it and I saw it in New York. We all right over there?
Amy
Yeah, I went with you to the one here.
Bobby Bones
It was great.
Eddie
Did those characters annoy you?
Bobby Bones
No, because they were just a character. I even worked with Cynthia Riva on American Idol because she came as a celebrity and she was great. It has to be the press. I just felt like, they were talking down to me.
Amy
Yeah, that has to be it. Because watching the movie, I never felt like that. It just felt like the. The story of the movie.
Bobby Bones
Shall watch it then.
Amy
Yeah, I think you would like it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay, then I'm gonna wait till the second one comes out. Are they going right to stream with it, or does it go to the theater first? Theater first in November. Okay, then I won't watch it till I can watch both of them.
Eddie
You know what's out to stream? Sinners.
Amy
Oh, yeah, I saw that.
Eddie
I saw that on Max now.
Bobby Bones
It's really good.
Eddie
I'm gonna walk watch that this weekend.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's really good. It's really good. And Scuba gave me a terrible version of it that said Scuba Steve across the screen.
Eddie
I remember that.
Bobby Bones
I remember the screener version. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They were like, if you want to have the director on, watch the screener. And I was like, my. Get it to me. I'll watch it on tv. And Scuba's like, it won't connect to your tv. You got to watch it, like, on your phone, on your iPad. And I'm so. I'm like, okay, fine. Then I finally get it and pull it up and. Right all the way across. Scuba Steve.
Eddie
The whole movie.
Bobby Bones
The whole movie.
Lunchbox
You remember me forever.
Bobby Bones
And it was still good. Even with all of that.
Eddie
Okay, that's good.
Bobby Bones
It was still good. So you can watch that now. Yeah, on Max. Max. Did you just say that?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Which I think just went back to hbo, Max.
Eddie
Oh, he did, like, yesterday. And so go back to Max in, like, a few months.
Bobby Bones
All right, Eddie, thank you for that, buddy.
Eddie
Welcome, man.
Bobby Bones
Eddie got his passport, by the way.
Amy
Well, we keep this posted.
Eddie
Yeah, it's on my. You should go to description.
Bobby Bones
Turks and Caicos.
Eddie
Are we going to Turks and Caicos?
Bobby Bones
I've been there before.
Lunchbox
You have?
Bobby Bones
I'm not a beach guy.
Eddie
Dude, that sounds fancy. Turks and Caicos sounds like one of.
Bobby Bones
Those islands where, like, it's his own country.
Eddie
Wow. Is that by Haiti?
Bobby Bones
It's down there.
Amy
I've never been to the Caribbean, probably. I mean, I just went to the Caymans for the first time.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's like. It's like the furthest down Guantanamo Bay and go up top, literally.
Eddie
No, no, no, no.
Lunchbox
It's down by Guantanamo.
Bobby Bones
No, no, it's a different island, but they're all there.
Eddie
Cuban Missile Crisis.
Bobby Bones
And now we're just saying stuff.
Eddie
Well, that's what. Guantanamo. Right.
Bobby Bones
But I've been. I've went to Targus And Caicos. It's by Cuba and Dominican Republic. Yeah.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Amy
So it is by Haiti.
Bobby Bones
Like, it's above Haiti in Florida.
Eddie
Okay.
Amy
You check out Matt.
Eddie
There's a. Like, a friend, like, one of my son's friends, their parents, they always go to Turks and Caicos. I like that.
Bobby Bones
Well, Drake.
Eddie
Fancy.
Bobby Bones
That's where I saw Drake. Drake try to kick us out of a restaurant.
Eddie
Oh, that's where it was.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Oh, that's cool.
Amy
Oh, some restaurant I was at. This is a pointless story. Never mind.
Eddie
No, no, no, no, no. I want to hear it.
Amy
Stupid. Stupid. I was at a restaurant, and it was attached to a hotel that's, like, really nice there. But we were just there eating dinner, and we were leaving. Some rapper was walking in, but we couldn't figure out who it was. But so. Because there was whisperings, like, and he had a kid with him, and they.
Bobby Bones
Were like, never found out who it was. Well, is there any chance, though, you found $10? I know.
Lunchbox
That's why I wasn't going to.
Amy
I wasn't going to finish the story. But I was real bummed because I even. You know, sometimes we'll email ourselves or text ourselves, show prep. Like, I thought we'd figure it out, so I even sent myself an email. Rapper at the restaurant attic. And then we never figured it out. So then there was no point in ever bringing it up to you guys until now.
Lunchbox
I could be at home right now.
Amy
Un. Y' all were like, oh, duh. We saw this rapper that was in the Caymans. And then that would help.
Lunchbox
Hold on. Rapper that was in the Caymans at the restaurant.
Bobby Bones
We were in this restaurant. All these big dudes showed up in Air Jordan clothes.
Eddie
Like, logos all over their shirts.
Bobby Bones
Like, like, uniformed, but they were an Air Jordan uniform. And so everybody's like, there's, like, four people in the whole restaurant. And so there's also, like, five dudes in Air Jordan talking to the main person at the restaurant. And there's like, a little hubbub.
Eddie
Hub, bub, bub.
Bobby Bones
And then we see Drake walk right by our table with his girl. And they set up a table for them on the beach. But what Drake tried to do is make the restaurant kick all of us out. And the restaurant was like, no, we're not kicking the four people in there eating dinner out of the restaurant. And so they set up a table for Drake on the beach. They're like, we'll set up a table so it's private, but, like, nobody cared. Yeah, like, there was another couple Once the story kind of got around because there was only four tables and it was an older dude and he was like, we don't even know how to use our phone. Our camera phones, I think, is what he said. He said, I think he's worried about us taking pictures of him.
Eddie
So you saw him?
Bobby Bones
Oh, he literally, I mean, walked from me to you, and then their table was 15ft from us.
Eddie
He didn't get what he wanted.
Bobby Bones
He did not get what he wanted. And shout out to the restaurant for not kicking us out, because that's what they asked him to do.
Eddie
Yeah, that's cool.
Bobby Bones
And I think they said they'd pay for possibly half of everybody's bill with only four people. And. But it never got to us because the restaurant manager was like, we're not kicking people out. We'll set up a table for you somewhere else. But that's pretty cool.
Eddie
Is J. Cole a rapper?
Bobby Bones
Yep. And great basketball player.
Eddie
Really?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah.
Eddie
I was at some bar, I don't.
Bobby Bones
Remember, considered one of the best ever basketball player rappers.
Eddie
Oh, rappers, Yes. I was at a bar and like, I was talking to some dude, like, while we were waiting to get. To get our drinks or whatever. And he was nice and everything. And then I walked back to my friends and they're like, dude, that was J. Cole. What do you say?
Bobby Bones
Oh, you talk to J. Cole.
Eddie
And I'm like, I don't even know who that is. Nice dude. Nice dude.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he's kind of has an unsuspecting look. You have longer hair.
Eddie
Gosh, I don't remember. Dude, this is like ten years ago. Oh, it is nine years ago, maybe.
Bobby Bones
Got it, got it, got it, got it.
Amy
Do y' all know who discovered the Cayman Islands?
Eddie
Yeah, Christopher Columbus.
Amy
Yes. How did you know that? I just guessed, cuz I was there and I learned that and I was like, but did he? Did he really?
Lunchbox
Are you trying to make a bigger rapper work out?
Bobby Bones
Worked out for me. Oh, yeah.
Eddie
We didn't talk about that.
Bobby Bones
You didn't know it was him?
Eddie
I had no idea, man. That's like. A friend of mine, too, was saying that he was talking to Jack white for like 30 minutes at the airport and had no idea that was Jack White. His wife was like, you were talking to Jack White the whole time?
Bobby Bones
That's interesting. He's like, what?
Eddie
We're talking about just being parents.
Bobby Bones
Jack white just turned 50.
Eddie
Wow. He's had a lot of Tigers games.
Bobby Bones
As in Detroit Tigers?
Eddie
Yeah. Like. Yeah, well, there's no sports on really, right now. So, like, I'll watch baseball.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
And he's there, like, always behind the plate. Tigers games. I don't know. Like, I didn't know. He's such a big fan.
Bobby Bones
I think they're from Detroit. Like, him and Meg. Weren't they, like, based in Detroit? Whenever White Stripes came out.
Eddie
That sounds familiar.
Bobby Bones
Like, I think that was their hometown. Or at least they were, like, from Detroit.
Eddie
Sounds familiar.
Bobby Bones
That White Stripes thing was weird, looking back, because at first they tried to sell it as brother sister before they were husband wife.
Eddie
Yes. And then they were husband wives. And then they. And then they got divorced and they stayed together and played.
Bobby Bones
Jack White is from Detroit, Michigan.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
His birth name is John Anthony Gillis, 1975. He's known for being a musician, singer, songwriter, and producer, most famously as part of the band the White Stripes.
Eddie
You ever met him?
Bobby Bones
No, I don't think I've ever seen him in person.
Eddie
Yeah, I haven't either.
Bobby Bones
I've been to his record store.
Eddie
Third Man.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Here. And it's tiny.
Eddie
Eddie Vedder was there when. He was. When Pearl Jam was here.
Bobby Bones
Cool.
Eddie
Took a picture there.
Bobby Bones
Cool.
Amy
And then you found $5.
Eddie
Yeah, it's cool to me.
Bobby Bones
Anyway. You get your passport?
Eddie
Oh, I got my passport. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So.
Eddie
Dude, what?
Bobby Bones
Or do you have it? Have it?
Eddie
Well, no, no. I mean, I went to the library and sat with a lady and processed it and everything and paid my money. Guys, you all didn't tell me how expensive it was to get a passport.
Bobby Bones
I don't remember how much it was.
Eddie
It was a hundred and sixty dollars for every one of us. And, I mean, I figured I was getting my passport, so, like, let's get the whole family. Of the passport.
Bobby Bones
Did you need some hot dogs?
Eddie
Do we drop. Hey, I think we dropped $700.
Bobby Bones
Eat some hot dogs. Like, my wife said, how bad do you need the money?
Eddie
Bad now.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Do we drop $700? And the crazy thing is, like, I read all the instructions. Go with your pictures, take proof of id, birth certificate, all that. And I show up and they're like, all right, it's $170 for each person. And so I give them, because I knew that it was gonna be that much. So I got cash out. And they're like, we don't accept cash. You have to get a money order or a check.
Amy
Who.
Eddie
Who has checks? So I had to go to the.
Bobby Bones
Grocery store, pay with a card. Debit card?
Eddie
No, no.
Bobby Bones
I had.
Eddie
It had to be a money order or check. So I had to go to the grocery store and ask for a money order, Which I'm like, how does this even work? So I did a money order, and then they, like. They take my birth certificate. I'm like, oh, we're gonna need those birth certificates back. And they're like, no, actually, we. We keep them, send them off, and they'll mail them back to you. I'm like, now I don't have my birth certificate.
Bobby Bones
That's. That's true. I remember that part.
Eddie
That's stressful. Like, I've never parted with my birth certificate.
Bobby Bones
When do you ever use it? It's only stressful to you because you're thinking, oh, what if? But that what if has actually never happened.
Amy
Oh, this makes sense. They require check or money order for security and administrative reasons because it leaves a clear audit trail so they can track payments and prevent fraud and error. Like, if you pay with cash, it's not like a documented.
Bobby Bones
Write a receipt.
Eddie
But what's the money order? I went to Kroger. Like, yeah, how does that. What's the paper trail on that?
Bobby Bones
Feels like. I understand what you're saying, but that feels like what the answer was 20 years ago.
Amy
And the government can easily allocate funds to the appropriate departments.
Eddie
I feel like it'd be a better paper trail if you did debit card or a credit card. And they'd be like, all right, let's check this.
Bobby Bones
Dude, good luck with that passport.
Eddie
They said four weeks, man. It'll be mine.
Bobby Bones
You'll get it before that.
Eddie
I'm ready to go.
Bobby Bones
You'll get it before that. You're getting, like, two weeks, two and a half weeks.
Eddie
Where do you guys want to go? Turks and Caicos.
Bobby Bones
I'm not a beach guy, man.
Eddie
Where have you gone? Where you would say, like, dude, you need to go here.
Bobby Bones
Austria. I'm not going off the two favorite. My two favorite places I've ever been, but.
Eddie
Yeah, but you're from there.
Bobby Bones
No.
Eddie
You're from that area.
Bobby Bones
I'm from Germany. Then you need to get your butt down to Mexico City. You have been to Mexico City.
Eddie
Spain would be my motherland.
Bobby Bones
Austria. Vienna. And, I mean, Paris is awesome.
Eddie
Betty.
Bobby Bones
It's the coolest place I've been a couple times. The second time we went, it was freezing. Wasn't as fun as the first time. It was still awesome, but it was so freaking cold. So I would recommend if you can go when it's warmer. But even cold, it was awesome.
Eddie
Yeah. Did you go to Iceland?
Bobby Bones
Mm.
Eddie
Okay. Because I saw there's, like, a Direct flight from Nashville to Iceland.
Bobby Bones
It's close to. It's closer than you Talking about as close.
Lunchbox
It really is. It's like four and a half hour, five hour flight.
Eddie
That's like.
Bobby Bones
It's New York to la. Yeah. Wow. Yeah.
Eddie
And it's pretty cheap, dude, just to like go there. Well, the plane ticket, wow, that's not a bad idea. Do. Maybe that's my celebration when I get my passport.
Bobby Bones
You want to go to Europe? Norway was awesome. I went there with to do bear girls.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Oh, did that look beautiful. London's cool because it's very kind of like America, but there's just so much history. There's like buildings from 1200.
Eddie
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
I mean, before we were even thought of to be a country. Before Columbus fake discovered us. Because he actually never was in North America.
Eddie
No, he went to Turks and Caicos, but that's not.
Bobby Bones
That's not the land of North America where we are.
Amy
He went to Turks and Caicos.
Bobby Bones
After, like, he went to Haiti. He like raped and pilgrim Pillaged, not pilgrimaged.
Eddie
It's a little different.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would say Austria. I would say Paris. We've been to Italy a couple times also.
Eddie
Yeah. When you talk about like, dude, it's so Rome.
Bobby Bones
My wife is the person to ask.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
But like, if you like looking at like history stuff, like art stuff, I love that stuff. It's crazy cool.
Eddie
I can't wait to get my book stamped.
Bobby Bones
You know, it's always fun.
Eddie
Or maybe like, I'll get one suitcase and I'll put all the stickers on it.
Bobby Bones
We. I was offered to go with Eddie to take Eddie do this interview. They offered me to come. I was gonna go to Europe and do this interview with a very famous artist and Eddie didn't have his passport. We couldn't go do it.
Amy
Eddie had the interview and you offered to go.
Bobby Bones
I had the interview.
Amy
Okay.
Eddie
One on one, Eddie.
Amy
That's what you said.
Bobby Bones
Whatever it was.
Amy
Did I hear that? No.
Eddie
That was great, dude. It's perfect.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Eddie. Eddie had an opportunity to go do an interview with me.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And he didn't have his passport. I'm going by myself.
Eddie
It could be the other way around.
Amy
I don't.
Eddie
It could be.
Amy
It could be. You're right.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Because some people think Tom Brady is not as good looking as you. So some people could want you to interview.
Eddie
Correct.
Amy
So did you go? You just didn't go because Eddie didn't have a passport.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Because it was gonna be like, we're gonna go play golf. We're gonna do a whole thing. It's like, if we're gonna go over to Europe, we'll just make it a trip. And he's like, oh, no passport.
Eddie
Well, better late than never. It's coming.
Bobby Bones
Dude, this art is gonna be dead.
Eddie
Yeah, maybe.
Bobby Bones
Okay, I think that's it. Anything else?
Amy
What'd you say this art is gonna be?
Bobby Bones
Artist.
Eddie
Artist.
Amy
Who was it? Can you say?
Bobby Bones
Nah, not yet. I wanna jinx.
Eddie
We still might do the interview.
Bobby Bones
Well, no, he'll be in America, though, too.
Eddie
Well, then why don't we just go there?
Bobby Bones
Because it was. The whole point was we got invited to go overseas and we were gonna play golf.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And it was gonna be a whole trip. And then I was like, eddie, let's do this. And he's like, I still don't have my passport. So then we weren't able to do it.
Eddie
That's weird, man. I remember when I was younger and I go to Mexico City, like, with my family.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you have been in Mexico City.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Motherland.
Eddie
Yeah, that's. I mean, kind of motherland. But Espana is the real motherland. But we just needed a birth certificate. Back in the day. You just land and be like, birth certificate. Here you go. And then we're good. But I guess somewhere in the middle, passports became the thing.
Bobby Bones
One final thing. So tomorrow's show, we have Ella Langley on the show. We literally just finished the interview. And so we'll have that on tomorrow. Then you'll have the full interview on the podcast. I don't really touch artists anymore in any way. I don't put my arm around people, on people. Regardless, just don't do it. You're pretty huggy with people still, huh?
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
I mean, like, I look up and Eddie's, like, draped over Ella Langley.
Amy
And I'm like, also, it's weird because you always take a picture of the artist and then any of the female ones I don't always remember. But I was like, oh, we should just get something for women of I Heart Country. So I pop up there, and then I'm stepping down. And Eddie goes, I need one for dads of I Heart Country. And I was like, what?
Eddie
It's a joke.
Amy
I know it's a joke.
Bobby Bones
And then he's, like, draped on.
Lunchbox
And I didn't go for it. Cause I didn't want to be the creep.
Eddie
Lately I've just been thinking, like, I need to like a lot of these new artists. I don't have pictures of them. Like, I Have pictures with Dierks Bentley and, like, Ronnie Dunn and all that stuff. But I don't have Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen. If he comes in, I'm getting a picture. Luke Combs. When he came in, I was like, oh, I don't have a Luke Combs. When I got to get Luke Combs. So that's just my thinking. Like, Ella. I feel like I need a picture with Ella at some point. So I was like, that was my moment right there. But the touchy thing, she started it.
Bobby Bones
I wasn't going to. They're naturally conditioned that people are going to grab them, but I really wasn't.
Eddie
And then she put her arm around me. I was like, all right, cool. Do a pose.
Amy
You went around top.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. You were draining.
Eddie
She went under.
Amy
Yeah, But I went. I went under with her, but all of a sudden, we're two girls. But we went under. Under. She went under. You went over, like.
Eddie
Well, yeah, I just went shoulder. That's kind of how I always do it.
Amy
Dads of.
Eddie
That was funny. You're like, oh, I need one for women in my heart. I was like, I need one for dads of my heart.
Bobby Bones
I forget to take a picture sometimes. And Morgan was like, bobby, get up. Take a picture. Because they posted stuff on Social. I'm like, oh, yeah, yeah. But as soon as I step on stage, my hands go in my pocket.
Eddie
It feels weird for me to do that. Like, it just feels weird to put my hands in front and then just, like, stand next to a person.
Bobby Bones
But it didn't feel weird for you to jump up and go, dad's Vihard country. And then drape over now.
Eddie
Because that was just the joke. Like, that was.
Bobby Bones
Nobody got the joke.
Eddie
Amy did. She's like, what did you just say?
Amy
I was like, oh, gosh. Okay. Well, I was just making sure that she knew I wasn't, like, making something up. I mean, but she knows because she's done stuff for Women of my Heart country before. Which, actually, the last time she was in, we did this little video, and it was doing okay. And then, I don't know, something happened, and it popped off, and it has over a million views.
Bobby Bones
Really?
Amy
And all I was. We just made, like. I made some joke of, like, Ella's teaching me.
Bobby Bones
She's kind of popped off, though.
Amy
I guess that's what happened is.
Bobby Bones
I'll give you one more story before we go. So this is a lunchbox story. I've almost told it a couple times. Went to the batting cages to hit some balls because of the home Run derby thing in Atlanta this weekend. And so I go, and I've said it before, One of my really good friends is Brett Eldridge, the singer. So Brett and I go together. And so we get there, and we can't get in where they have a machine shooting balls at us. So we're just throwing to each other. There's a. Like, a part of the cage where you can put up the. The.
Eddie
It's like a guard.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And you throw pictures.
Eddie
Guard.
Bobby Bones
So. So Brett's throwing to me, I'm throwing to him. We're like, almost hitting each other like we should. Our arms aren't in shape to do this, and. But we're there for, like, an hour and a half. We're both hitting balls, and in the pitching area next to us, this kid who's probably 13 years old goes, hey, are you by Bones? And I was like, yeah, I am. He goes, can I come over there and get a picture with you? I'm like, yeah, sure. Come on over. So he comes over, and he gives the camera to Brett and says, here, thank you. And so Brett takes a picture of us. Brett doesn't care. Like, Brett has no relationship with wanting to be famous. He's the opposite. But what I thought was funny was the kid hands the camera to Brett. Brett takes a picture, and he goes. And he's walking off. He goes, you lunchbox?
Eddie
To Brett.
Bobby Bones
He thought he gave Lunchbox the camera to take a picture.
Eddie
No, dude, he was going to make you take the picture anyway. You're not understanding.
Bobby Bones
Wait, it's a double side. He thought he gave the phone to lunchbox, take the camera. But then he thought Brett was Lunchbox.
Eddie
That's funny.
Bobby Bones
And, like, Brett was like, no, I'm not Lunchbox. And then later, I got a DM from the mom of the kid going, hey, my son met you, and he feels totally stupid. He didn't realize it was Brett Eldridge.
Eddie
That's funny.
Bobby Bones
It. Yeah. Anyway, that's the story.
Amy
Funny, funny.
Lunchbox
That's pretty funny.
Bobby Bones
How does that make you feel?
Lunchbox
Feels good. I mean, people are always thinking about me.
Bobby Bones
There you go.
Lunchbox
That's what it is. I'm always on their mind.
Bobby Bones
You're always on their mind. All right, that's it. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Ella Langley on the show tomorrow, and we'll post a picture of Eddie draped over her.
Eddie
I'm not draped over her. Guys, a normal picture. Set it up like that. Everyone's gonna be like, oh, yeah, he is.
Bobby Bones
I looked up, though, and, like, you were on you're like, I'm taking pictures.
Eddie
Like I would with anyone I know.
Bobby Bones
I guess I just. I don't ever want to touch anybody because I never. Just don't want it to seem creepy.
Eddie
I want to try that. I know it's not natural for me to stand next to someone, be like.
Bobby Bones
I do that with dudes, too, though. Now, unless I'm, like, close friends with them, I'm not gonna touch you guys. Tough. Just, like, if they grab me, it's hard to not. So if somebody puts their arm on me, then I'll. But I'm never gonna make the first move. Now it feels like dating. I'm never.
Eddie
It's just a picture, man.
Bobby Bones
I'm never gonna make the first move. All right, that's it. Thank you, guys. We will see you tomorrow. Bye, everybody.
