There's a third incident now that's investigated for the Taylor Frankie Paul incident.
Amy
A third, like, totally separate from the video from people.
Bobby
Taylor Frankie Paul, who was Real Housewives of Mormon.
Amy
No, no, no. Close Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Bobby
Yeah, that's what I meant. And she had shot the entire show. The Bachelorette.
Amy
Yep.
Bobby
And there was an old incident they knew about. Then there was another incident that made them stop filming Mormon wives, and that video got released. So then ABC canceled the season, but now there's another one.
Amy
Oh, another one?
Bobby
Yeah. It says, under investigation for an alleged third domestic violence incident involving her ex, Dakota Mortensen.
Amy
It's the same guy.
Bobby
Yeah. The case adds to prior legal issues, including a 2023 incident led to charges and a plea deal for her. A resurfaced video. Da, da, da. But there's a third one now in the mix, so that's what's up.
Amy
It's really interesting that ABC was like, yeah, this should be our choice.
Bobby
I know. Well, I think they thought with that first incident, it was out. It was a couple of years ago. We'll weigh that against how famous she is, how good they think the show will be with her being extra dramatic. It was a gamble that didn't pay off.
Amy
So they just wanted drama. They didn't care about the guys finding love.
Bobby
Well, they never really care about that. They just want good ratings.
Eddie
You think they care about love?
Bobby
But even the guys go on that just to get seen. Even the girls go on that just to get seen. Like, it's all just a platform at this point. There are a couple couples that make it, but usually they're from back in the day. Yeah, that's one Tristan Ryan. But that's from 20 years ago. I know whenever they actually probably did go on that show for love now it's just, how do we build a following and then be a part of that bachelor nation and then get to do paradise and then get Instagram deals and get to go do all the cool stuff? But, yeah, that's. That's the third incident I said that. I thought the name Dakota. There wouldn't be many dudes that weren't douchebags named Dakota.
Eddie
I got messages.
Bobby
I got a DM from a Dakota. I was like, I'm not douchebag. Just heads up.
Eddie
I was like, cool, we got one.
Bobby
Yeah, I believe him. He said, I heard you talking about that. Not a. Not a douchebag. All right.
Amy
If you are one, though, do you know you're one?
Bobby
That's a great Question. Yeah. Yeah, I think you do.
Eddie
You do?
Bobby
Yeah.
Amy
So you just, like, don't message. You're just like, my name's Dakota.
Bobby
Yeah, I think you do.
Eddie
I'm a douchebag.
Bobby
I got a message from Sienna K on Instagram, said, hey, Bobby, I'm a couple days behind on the podcast, but normally I'm about a week or so behind. You had said the people who listen to the podcast should just skip ahead. But the problem with that is then we don't know all the things that are going on. It's really fun to keep up with all the ongoing storylines that are happening in your lives, not like current events. If you're listening. Two months behind. You know you're two months behind as far as the news goes. But if you were to skip those two months, then you're missing a lot of buildup to storyline and other things like that. So that's why I personally will sometimes let the podcast build up and I will just listen to them in different time frames because I want to make sure I don't miss any major content. Just some perspective from a person who is behind. I think that is fair. I still get January 8 messages, though, from people that are right now. Yesterday I got messages from people that just finished January 8th, so I get it. I appreciate you listening. I would just want to know what's up and I would skip ahead, but storylines going on in our lives. Lunchbox has got a swollen testicle.
Eddie
That's a big one.
Bobby
I have a baby. Amy's young and free.
Eddie
Yep.
Bobby
If you heard today's show.
Eddie
Single and getting hit on sometimes. Yeah.
Bobby
Eddie, I don't know.
Eddie
Pretty normal over here.
Bobby
What are you doing over there?
Eddie
I mean, it's pretty, like, straightforward, most people stuff.
Bobby
It's not stuff you're doing mostly stuff
Eddie
you're not doing, like donating a kidney. I haven't donated a kidney yet.
Bobby
Like chicken.
Eddie
That's what you're.
Bobby
Chicken business.
Eddie
The chicken business is. That's not gonna happen.
Bobby
Like a kidney. It's just a lot of stuff.
Abby
Yes.
Eddie
Salsa. Yeah, we're working on it.
Bobby
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I appreciate the message. Amy, what do you have as your story?
Amy
So, obviously the Air Canada crash at LaGuardia where the plane ran into the fire truck. It's been a big news story. And the CEO of Air Canada did a press conference in Canada. He did it in English, and they have summoned him to Ottawa to explain why he spoke in only English to address the crash and not French. Right. And I don't know. I Just thought it was interesting that he was summoned and had to go to Ottawa and address because they received over 700 complaints from people. And then also politicians were, you know, chiming in. Obviously, if you're a politician, maybe you don't like this particular CEO.
Bobby
Where's the guy live?
Jana Kramer
Montreal.
Bobby
Okay. Montreal is French.
Eddie
That's French.
Amy
Yes. So he's lived in Montreal for 14 years. I guess there was an incident if few years ago, like 2022, where he didn't address something in French and he felt bad about that. So he's like, you're right. I probably should learn it. When this popped up, he literally recorded his statement and then was on a plane to head to the crash site, to LaGuardia. So for him, he said because it was such a sensitive subject and French isn't his first language, he felt like he needed to deliver it in English so that he said everything properly. And I just thought, wow, this is interesting that this is what they're in the weeds about. Like, if it's not his first language,
Bobby
I would think too, since it happened on American soil, I would also understand why it was a bit of English, because there's an American who died, too.
Amy
I know, but the pilots or did the fire truck.
Bobby
Did anybody die in the fire truck or did they just get hurt?
Amy
I've only heard the two pilots.
Bobby
Okay. But it still happened in New York.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby
I mean, I'm not going to tell people what to get upset about because I know I obviously don't live in Canada. I don't know what the sensitivities are there. And he lives in a place where I speak French.
Eddie
But that's a great reason, though.
Bobby
But that's a great. Yeah. He may suck.
Amy
He may suck. Like, that's why people are like, get him out of there. I don't know. He may be. He may also be awesome. I have no idea. I just thought, you're being summoned.
Bobby
I think it's a great reason, though, if you're like, hey, this is not my first language and this is so
Amy
sensitive and I'm having to do it quickly.
Bobby
Yeah.
Amy
And also that the flight attendant. Did you see how her seat. She was buckled into her flight attendant seat and the whole thing. She was ejected from the aircraft when it impacted and she survived like it was crazy. She was thrown like 300ft still attached to her.
Bobby
Wonder if she was conscious as that was happening.
Amy
I hope not. Pass me out. I don't know, though. I mean, you probably don't real, like. Yeah, because I feel like do you feel like your stomach dropping? You're flying through the air, right?
Bobby
Like, do you notice you're flying through the air?
Amy
Yeah. Or does it all just happen so
Eddie
quickly and then you're stuck to your seat? That's gotta be a weird feeling. Like you're flying, but you're still in a seat.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
Or do you not know? Because it's happened so fast, there was an impact, so you don't know what's happening with your body. And it's not like that's taking 40 seconds through the air. It's. It's boom, 1, 2, 3, 4, land. So you're so confused. Yeah, I saw that. Where she was sitting in that seat, backward, right?
Amy
Yeah. Because she's the flight attendant that you would be closest to the flight deck.
Bobby
Thank you for your story, man.
Eddie
When you hear the.
Amy
Bonjour.
Bobby
Au revoir.
Amy
Au revoir.
Bobby
Yeah.
Eddie
When you hear the control tower guy say, like, what do you say? He's like, I messed up.
Abby
Oh.
Amy
Oh, the air traffic controller.
Eddie
Air traffic controller. Oh, man, that's tough.
Bobby
Lunchbox your story.
Lunchbox
Back in 1988, John Anthony Quinn was working at a. You know, one of those bank cars, you know, those armored vehicles. He was a manager. He walked into the vault, took $1.3 million, said, Bye, bye. He's been on the FBI's most wanted list since 1988. Well, the case is closed. He died a month ago in a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Natural causes. He lived out his life under an alias. They never caught him.
Amy
So how'd they figure out if he did? He died in the alias.
Lunchbox
Fingerprints. When you die, you get fingerprinted and they go into a database, and that's how they found him.
Bobby
No way. I don't think this is a victory for him.
Eddie
What do you mean? He lived his whole life.
Bobby
I hear you.
Lunchbox
He lived his whole life.
Bobby
I know.
Amy
What if he would have. He died of natural causes. But what if the stress of living under that alias, like, he died a lot sooner than he would have?
Bobby
I just.
Lunchbox
He was 85.
Bobby
I would always. I would have always been wondering and worried.
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
Even as an alias.
Bobby
Yeah, of course.
Eddie
Like, you got a whole new name, new person. You're not even you anymore.
Amy
You might forget.
Bobby
They found that kid that's 11 years old. They were under different names.
Eddie
Right.
Bobby
I just. There are certain ways to be fast. Somebody recognizes you that used to live by you across the country. You're at a Walmart, like, hey, Frank. No, no, I'm Jim. I just would always be worried have
Amy
you seen that guy in Florida that. It's not Jeffrey Epstein, but he looks just like him. And now he's starting to make videos where he's having. Because he has a convertible and then people film him. And so he's going viral all over social media. So now he's making his own videos. Hello, I am not Jeffrey Epstein. But dang, does he look like him?
Eddie
He does look like him.
Bobby
I mean, I thought it was another AI.
Amy
Yeah, but no, he's him.
Bobby
Yeah. Because they drive by him. He's in his convertibles driving with his glasses on. And then he made a video. It's like, I'm not Jeffrey Epstein and he's in Florida, but it does look like Jeffrey Epstein.
Eddie
There's a whole Instagram account where there's people that look like Adam Sandler.
Bobby
That's hilarious. And it's a Facebook group.
Eddie
They really do look like Adam Sandler.
Bobby
Yeah, it's a Facebook group. Or everybody.
Amy
And they're all different people.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby
Women, men, they all have like, Sandler faces.
Eddie
You've seen it.
Bobby
Yeah, because. Because their hair. Some. Some of the women have long hair. They just have Adam Sandler typefaces.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby
Eddie.
Eddie
All right, I'm going to send you a video that I got was so frustrated. To me it was like. So there was somebody in a. In a plane and they're looking out the window and they see their guitar.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby
Oh yeah.
Eddie
I posted on Instagram yesterday you did
Amy
Rage of the Day.
Eddie
Well, there you go. Dude, I was so Rage of the day.
Bobby
Yeah. Your rage for the day.
Eddie
Yeah, because like, my guitar just traveled from Bahamas and I had to check it just like that. So that made me think, like, did they do that to my guitar?
Bobby
Was yours broken?
Eddie
No, it wasn't. But still.
Bobby
And no. Cuz if you're throwing them, like, all those guitars are damaged. That guy.
Eddie
All of them. How many guitars do you think there was?
Bobby
Oh, I saw three for sure.
Eddie
They kept. They kept coming like six or eight.
Amy
It was interesting to me. It wasn't like it. It wasn't like I'm just being, you know, careless. It was like such intentional. I'm throwing these, you know, because you can be careless with luggage. And then that was like, I'm going to take this and slam it to the ground. Like, why?
Bobby
Grabbing them and chunking them.
Eddie
And I understand, understand that job's got to be tough. You're just carrying heavy baggage all day.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
And yeah, but you know what that job is when you take it.
Eddie
Sure. But doesn't mean that, like, you can take, especially an instrument, something that you know can break, but anything.
Bobby
Because you don't know what's in a suitcase.
Eddie
Yeah, but.
Bobby
No, I don't even think it's a but, because people maybe have, like, vases, glass things in their suitcases. You can't be doing what he was doing to even luggage.
Eddie
You're right.
Amy
I know. I just want to know what he was mad about.
Bobby
I don't. I just think it was just. This is the day. So here's my theory. He normally doesn't work outside. He has that same job. But that's such a open spot that he was in that you do that enough times in that spot, you're going to be recorded.
Eddie
Sure.
Bobby
I think most of the time he's grabbing bags. He's probably inside underneath the COVID And he gets to be reckless and nobody sees him.
Amy
Oh, see, y' all don't see. Take it as, like, a. Because it was so intentional. Like, he finally just snapped. Like, I don't see. I don't. I don't know that he slams luggage like that every day. This seemed like a. I'm having a moment.
Bobby
I don't know the answer.
Amy
That's why. That's what I want to know. I want to ask him.
Eddie
Yeah, we have to talk to him.
Amy
What if he's like, oh, my girlfriend just broke up with me, or my boss just yelled at me, or my kids in the hospital? I don't know.
Eddie
But it doesn't matter.
Bobby
When I watch it.
Amy
I know it doesn't matter, but, I
Bobby
mean, I feel like he was just being reckless and careless and he was just caught. I'm watching him. Here we go. Takes one out.
Amy
He's so angry.
Bobby
He's just throwing them. He's not slamming them.
Eddie
He's not angry.
Bobby
But he is throwing them.
Amy
He does. I watch it so.
Eddie
Because he kind of looks tired. Like, he's just like, drop the guitar and then throw that one on top of the other one.
Bobby
Throw it. He threw that. So there's no slamming, but he is just. Just recklessly throwing.
Amy
I got different energy.
Bobby
The energy is definitely. This sucks.
Eddie
But I think, like, his body language,
Bobby
he's just, like, throwing the guitar, and we're only seeing him grab the guitars. He may have done that with other suitcases as well. This is just what was seen.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
But, yeah, it was a crazy video.
Eddie
I just feel like when you have your luggage and you have a vase or whatever, like, sometimes I'll buy a bottle of wine somewhere, and I'll travel with it. I wrap it up in clothes. And because I assume that they're going to do that to my bag, I don't assume that they're going to do that to an instrument or something that, you know, could really break a bag. You know, it's clothes. Usually it's clothes in there. Like, I bought a surfboard in Hawaii one time and I was so stressed out that this thing was going to break and I had to check it. Had to check it underneath the plane. Didn't break. But I was worried the entire time.
Bobby
Cool story.
Amy
Cool.
Bobby
Hey, cool story, man.
Eddie
About a surfboard in Hawaii.
Bobby
About what you checked and didn't break?
Amy
Yeah, I was stressed out one time in Hawaii. I bought a surfboard.
Bobby
Okay. And I came back and it was all good.
Eddie
Yeah, I lost that surfboard.
Bobby
Are you guys entertained by my story of me getting.
Amy
And he lost the surfboard in the
Eddie
ocean years later where I lent it to a friend. He never gave back.
Bobby
That's also a terrible story. Like, give us something good. Like we're over two. He let us down two trails.
Eddie
Where he went.
Bobby
He let us down two trails and they both sucked. Anything else?
Eddie
I still have another surfboard, though.
Bobby
Yeah? Have you been on the ocean with that one?
Eddie
No. But when it snows here, we sled with it. It's kind of cool. It's kind of better than another. Like a regular sled.
Amy
I have a question. Completely unrelated. Cause I just started getting this weird feeling in my eye. Eddie, don't worry about it. We're gonna change the subject here. What does a stye start to feel like when you're getting a stye sore?
Bobby
But also it feels big. Like you can almost feel it. It feels like it's growing in a little bit.
Amy
I feel like that's what just started to happen to me.
Bobby
I looked outside a minute ago and Amy was sitting by the pool.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Bobby
We had like a 15 minute break and I didn't. We were like, where's Amy? Cuz we're doing this from home. And we look out and Amy just sitting by the pole on her phone laughing. She's like. And I hit the glass and she didn't even look up. She just into the phone and then I hit it again. Oh, yeah?
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
What was so funny?
Amy
Oh, do y' all get any of those AI dogs in your dancing dog? They're like doodles and they talk like a. There's a golden doodle.
Bobby
Then come up. Ma.
Amy
He's a really.
Bobby
You.
Amy
You want it? It's so Cute. He's really popular. And he says, like, he tells cute little funny stories about his day. They're so cute.
Bobby
Amy sent me a video. She was like, oh, this is cool. And it's people that have built bunkers in their backyard. Because I. I would love to have a bunker. Like, that's the thing. Something you. I don't say won't need, don't need, but. Okay, something you don't need that you'd like to have a bunker. And so she sends me one to this woman who is hiding in her bunker, as these people tend to rob her. And it's by her grill. She lifts it up, gets down, and then you see the robbers come in. It was so obviously AI not real. And I replied. I was like, amy, it's AI. And then I went over to that profile, and it's like, videos created by AI it even said in the profile.
Eddie
Profile.
Amy
Well, that one. I mean, obviously, the talking doodle. I'm aware that's AI but the underground bunker, that could actually happen.
Bobby
Yeah, but it didn't because it was so specific. Like, she jumped in, and as soon as she pulled it, all these dudes with masks were standing on top of her.
Amy
Okay, okay, okay. Whatever. Mm.
Bobby
Morgan, your story.
Abby
Yeah.
Morgan
You guys remember Brian Coburger?
Abby
The.
Bobby
He's the Idaho murderer. Yes, yes.
Morgan
Accused of killing the University of Idaho students.
Bobby
Accused. Was he guilty?
Morgan
Did he get found guilty?
Lunchbox
He pled guilty.
Bobby
Got it.
Morgan
Pled guilty. Okay, so there's a new video that got released. It was five days after he killed them. And he went into the DMV and just, like, openly had a whole conversation with the worker, saying he needed to get his license plates change. And. And they sat there and had a whole conversation. The worker even brings up the Idaho murders, saying she doesn't really feel safe. And he was like, no way. Whole conversation.
Amy
Oh, that's creepy.
Bobby
What did he say? What was his reaction to that?
Morgan
He just was like, yeah, like, there's the security footage of it happening. And then he, like, changed the small talk to her shirt. Cause she was wearing a Giants fan. So he. He switched it to talk about sports with her. And then, like, when she asked if he was going to stay around, he's like, o, I'll have to go where the work takes me. I don't think I can stay here. And that was all he said. But it was right after he did all this, and he was trying to change his license plates, and he did.
Eddie
He got his license.
Morgan
I didn't realize you could. Yeah, I Didn't realize you could just go and be like, I need to change my license.
Amy
Well, yeah, because you can go get a custom plate if you want. Like I could go today and get
Bobby
like mine's pin 5.
Amy
What?
Bobby
BG Pen 5.
Eddie
Pin 5.
Bobby
BG Big pin 5.
Amy
Why would you change it to that today?
Bobby
BG Pen 5.
Eddie
P I, N P I N, P,
Morgan
E N. Oh, big.
Eddie
Got it. And that's your fifth one.
Bobby
No, what's the five?
Amy
Penis.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby
Yeah. A five is an S. Oh my God.
Eddie
Oh God. Yeah, because you can't get the S. Oh my God. I thought you had five cars with that.
Bobby
Dude, can you imagine? I got BG Pen 5. That's. That would be big penis. Yeah, Yeah, I don't have that. But that's what's up.
Amy
Yeah. So yeah, you could go get that today if you want.
Bobby
Yeah. But he wasn't asking for a personalized plate, was he? Cuz that's kind of suspicious.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby
Can you please give me another random plate?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
Or IDK, ID killer. Or ID killer. Yeah, yeah, that's.
Eddie
That is weird. That takes a while though, right, to get a personalized. Like you have to order that and.
Amy
Yeah. And they have to make it. Yeah. And they ship it to you.
Bobby
But even then if he goes in, they don't give it to him right that day, I think.
Eddie
No chance.
Amy
Oh, well. I wonder if prisoners have to take ones in the back, but they may have some hanging around.
Bobby
I don't even know that all prisoners make plates. I think that that probably happens a bit.
Eddie
License plates and school desks. Street signs.
Bobby
I know they don't make street signs.
Eddie
They don't. They don't make the stop signs.
Bobby
They could make some. But it's not universal that all prisoners make all signs.
Amy
Yeah. It's probably state to state.
Bobby
They still make two thirds of the state's license plates. They do. Prisoners do.
Eddie
There you go.
Amy
And what about school desks?
Bobby
I never heard desks.
Amy
Oh really?
Abby
I have.
Amy
Please tell me I'm right.
Eddie
What job?
Bobby
What sucks is they're outsourcing a third of those now to India.
Eddie
I know.
Bobby
So prisoners were making. Good old American prisoners were making them. And now India's got a third of those. I don't know. That's true.
Eddie
What job would you do in prison?
Bobby
Teacher soap holder.
Eddie
Be good at that.
Bobby
Pocket walker. Yeah. There are programs where they make desks, chairs and other classroom furniture. Wow. Never heard that.
Eddie
Shop making sounds fun. That'd be kind of fun to do. But how do they trust him? Around all those, like, saws and stuff?
Bobby
Well, they. What do you mean?
Eddie
Well, there's like.
Bobby
Well, they watch them and they probably go by and make sure the blades are still there afterward.
Eddie
Yeah, I know, but what if, like, you can't just kill someone next to you with a blade.
Bobby
You could.
Amy
Or just make a quick shank.
Eddie
You could.
Bobby
No, I think they'll probably look to see if that's any shanks taken.
Eddie
It just sounds.
Amy
I probably work in laundry, to be honest.
Bobby
Also, you probably don't get to work in that unless you've built up a lot of trust.
Amy
And maybe your crime was not.
Eddie
Yeah, not violent.
Bobby
Like, you don't go just in for axing someone to death. Like, let's put him in a wood shop. I would bet that's probably.
Amy
Wait, so the story is that he went and got. He had this whole conversation, which is crazy.
Eddie
It is eerie when you see a. Like someone that, you know that killed and then you see him just live normal life out and about. Yeah, out and about. Because I think there was even surveillance of him at Costco the next day. It's just weird seeing him walk around Costco.
Bobby
Well, the irony of her bringing up the murders to the murderer, that's crazy, too. And him, like, how about them giants, huh?
Eddie
Yeah, change the subject.
Bobby
Like Lincecum. Can't wait for him to pitch again. Let's see. A mom discovers fentanyl in a package after buying a Barbie doll for her daughter. Yikes. A horrified mom found fentanyl in the packaging of a Barbie she picked up at a Midwest store, making the dangerous discovery while unboxing the beloved doll to give to her daughter. Jade Adams of suburban Kansas City, Missouri, picked up the innocent seeming item at Cargo Largo. A bargain retailer in Town told Fox 4 that she was taking the doll out of the wrapper. The potentially lethal powder exploded all over her and her husband. Local authorities confirmed that multiple Barbies sold by the outlet contained secret stashes of the often lethal drug. Oh, so maybe they were drugging up the Barbies. And how did someone at the register not know that, though? Unless they thought that she was just buying it because she knew. So maybe they did.
Eddie
So is that a way to transfer the drugs? Yeah, people are doing kids.
Bobby
Well, no, no, no. It's just like if you want to buy it, you know, to go grab this Barbie from the store. But that's how it would happen at Drive Thru sometimes too.
Amy
So you just run the risk of selling it to a normal person.
Bobby
But again, kid at Drive Thrus if you order a specific thing, they would know and they'd package it. And if they ordered a small Coke with a large fry and a chicken sandwich, that was kind of. They're also buying a drug.
Eddie
Wasn't like extra lettuce or something.
Amy
Well, yeah.
Bobby
Well, that's two on the nose.
Eddie
Extra green lettuce.
Bobby
Give me that. Give me the make me high deal.
Amy
But, yeah, I know that.
Bobby
Yeah.
Amy
I mean, I thought it had to be way more. I don't know, just to where no one's gonna order this or buy this unless they're, like, really trying, you know, I was thinking maybe they put them in a bunch of dolls and then that's just collateral damage. Is like, they got most of the dolls, you know, like, they. They shipped them in that way or shipped them. And then they got most of the dolls so they could go take the drugs out. And then a few end up on the shelf, like, whoopsie.
Bobby
I think it's probably a way. I think this, though, was more of a. This is how they distributed it. Like, they probably bought the drugs.
Amy
Buy this doll.
Bobby
They probably bought the drugs and then put it into the dolls. And that's how they could sell it without being seen selling it.
Amy
Wow.
Eddie
You think Cargo Largo is involved in this?
Bobby
I don't know. And I don't know who owns the store. I'm going to say no for the sake of not getting sued. It's a good idea, but some people that work there, they don't have to be a part of the overall operation. Obviously somebody.
Amy
It could have been because the money. How are they getting the money?
Eddie
Well, that.
Bobby
It was weird. That doll cost $2,000.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
No. I don't know. I thought that was a weird story. The army has raised the maximum age for recruits to 42.
Amy
Now, what was it?
Bobby
38, maybe 35. 35.
Eddie
Is that because we're still strong? We're older?
Bobby
No, it's because we need people to join. Eddie's looking at the positive for him. Is that because we still rock?
Eddie
The generals looks at me like, we'll take him. Like, that's kind of cool.
Bobby
No. Now they're like, I guess we'll take him since nobody else is.
Amy
I know.
Bobby
In a sweeping change to its enlistment regulations, the army has raised the maximum age for eligible recruits to 42. The upper limit was previously 35. It's from military Times.
Amy
I mean, you obviously can serve older than that recruitment wise. Like, you can't enter the military at.
Bobby
Right.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
Hey, Abby, I have a Question for you. So Abby's mom was in town. I don't know if she still. Is your mom still here?
Abby
No, she left.
Bobby
When did she leave?
Abby
Last Wednesday.
Eddie
Wow.
Bobby
How long was she here?
Abby
She was here, yeah. Like, two and a half weeks.
Bobby
Okay, that's not so long. If you didn't want her here, that's a long time. Right, but you wanted her here?
Abby
Yes.
Bobby
She came without a flight back. And what did she help you do while she was here?
Abby
She was helping me go through, like, my house to just get rid of things I've collected. Just random things, and I'm trying to get rid of, like, you know, separate them into give away, sell.
Bobby
Where are you selling your stuff?
Abby
Well, probably the bigger things is, like, furniture and stuff, like on Marketplace.
Bobby
Got it.
Abby
But I'm just gonna donate a lot because it's a lot of work to, like, sell individual things.
Bobby
And so guys were hitting on your mom in front of you?
Abby
I don't understand if, like, Amy or Morgan has ever dealt with this, but,
Bobby
like, you'll be comparing them to your mom.
Abby
No, no, no, no. I'm saying with their moms, like, in their lives. No, no, no. Okay. So we would go into a coffee shop, and it's me and her. And then the cashier would be like, are you guys sisters? Like, every time? And I'm just like, okay, hi. Thanks. Like, my mom loves it, obviously, because there he's like, oh, you look younger like her. But then me, I'm just like, hello. No, that's my mom, possibly.
Bobby
Were they just looking for a tip?
Abby
But I was paying sometimes, and they were usually, like, around my age. So they're, like, trying to suck up to my mom.
Bobby
But do you think they were hitting on your mom?
Abby
It seemed like it, yes. Because then we came back to the same guy, like, three times. We went to the same coffee shop, and he's like, oh, the sisters are back. And looked at her every time, like, hello, I'm over here.
Bobby
So it was one guy trying to get with your mom?
Abby
Well, basically, yeah.
Eddie
And then Abby was like, hello, I'm over here. Like, look at me.
Abby
Well.
Amy
Cause he's closer to her age. She doesn't want him, but she just would rather him be interested in her versus her mom.
Abby
I just thought it was. Yeah, very odd because. Yes, it's flattering to my mom. But then I'm over here. What am I supposed to do?
Bobby
Are your mom and dad still together?
Abby
No, they are both remarried.
Bobby
Okay, but they're. Your dad's alive.
Abby
Yes.
Bobby
Okay.
Abby
Uh, huh. He just never comes to visit. Really?
Bobby
But your mom is remarried, so she's not single. I was gonna ask, would you be upset if your mom is down here on a trip and she, like, hooks up with some younger dude? Well, if she's married. If she's married, it's a whole different conversation. That's not real. But let's say she was single and she met a dude that was your age, and she was like, abby, I think I want to go on a date with this guy while I'm here. That would be fun. How would you feel about that?
Abby
I cannot even imagine. I would be. You have got to be kidding me. I'd be like, no, she's living her life.
Eddie
You can't tell her no.
Amy
Why?
Eddie
She's an adult.
Bobby
She can do whatever she wants.
Amy
She wants to get it out with
Bobby
some young Starbucks barista. You know, just get it on.
Abby
I don't think I'd support that.
Bobby
All right.
Abby
That's funny.
Bobby
How's everything going with you?
Abby
It's good.
Bobby
Yeah? Any plans?
Abby
Like, wedding plans?
Bobby
Yeah.
Abby
Nope. Nothing. I've had a few things going on in my life that. That kind of got put on the back burner, but.
Bobby
Is it on the back burner?
Abby
Kind of, yeah. As far as planning, also, I can't decide if I want a beach wedding or, like, a Nashville one. So that's the.
Amy
She doesn't mean, like.
Bobby
No, but she walked us down that trail a little bit where we started to feel like, oh, are they not. Are they thinking they. Maybe they shouldn't get married?
Eddie
I'm still trying to decide if we should get married or not, but that's.
Amy
But she's trying to decide beach or mountains.
Bobby
You guys are still good as a unit.
Abby
Yes, good. We are.
Eddie
Still haven't met the guy. Have you met the guy?
Bobby
No, but I don't want to meet people's people until they're, like, married people. Now, I don't care about married, but, like, maybe. I don't know. I just don't want to meet people. Like, it took me forever to meet Amy's boyfriend.
Eddie
I never met him.
Amy
Well, and then he cursed it.
Bobby
Yeah, well, I didn't curse it.
Amy
I'm just kidding, you know? Well, it was like, it took you forever to meet him, and then you met him, and then we broke up, so I was like, cool.
Bobby
Yeah. But I didn't have anything to do with that.
Amy
No.
Bobby
And he was not. But it's just like, I don't. I don't want to be like, the kids and, like, fall in love with somebody and then they break up. Oh, right, right. I'm good.
Amy
You want it to be like, I
Bobby
should have met your boyfriend earlier.
Amy
Yeah. That's okay, though.
Bobby
But I just knew, and it wasn't.
Amy
What? That's not true.
Eddie
You had intuition.
Bobby
No. Woman's intuition.
Amy
No. I do think you get on these streaks, these games with yourself where you're like, oh, let me see how I can go. Till I don't.
Bobby
I just worry about Amy sometimes.
Amy
Wait, what?
Eddie
Go ahead.
Bobby
Not you specifically. I just worry about people's intentions.
Amy
Well, but with him, we didn't need to worry about that.
Bobby
I know, but, like, if you started, like, like, dating a podcaster, influencer or something, I'd be like. I'd be like, why is she doing.
Amy
Like, why is she doing her. Why is he dating her?
Bobby
No, I'd be like.
Amy
Or what?
Bobby
I don't know. I'd feel like they were up to no good. Like, trying to use you for something for, like, a bigger platform. It was a massive podcaster. Good. Or influencer that had millions of followers.
Amy
That was one thing that I felt great about in my relationship that literally just ended. I. He did not. It was so. He didn't care about anything about, like, that. Nothing. So that was good. And I feel like.
Bobby
Yeah, I agree. I agree. And that's when I finally was like, all right, cool. Pure intentions.
Amy
Yay.
Eddie
Pretty good.
Amy
Definitely.
Bobby
Well, gotta keep one eye open.
Eddie
Always.
Amy
Thank you for keeping an eye open.
Eddie
Do you. How do I ask this?
Bobby
Who are you asking?
Eddie
Amy. So, like, if I were to get a divorce, just hypothetical. If I were to get a divorce and, like, And I'm single all of a sudden. Right. I would have a list of, like, ooh, goals. Like, you know, Gwyneth Paltrow, your goal. Like, does Amy any goal lists?
Amy
I don't. I don't know.
Bobby
You don't have a checkoff list of dudes you want to get with before or you want to try to get with?
Eddie
That could be possible.
Bobby
But GW Pal would be possible to you?
Eddie
No, but she'd be on. On the list.
Amy
Yeah. This sounds so.
Bobby
No, it's what dudes think. It's not weird. It's what dudes think.
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
That's not weird.
Amy
Well, what? You just said they're single. You just said if.
Abby
If I was.
Amy
Got a divorce.
Eddie
This is hypothetical.
Bobby
To ask the question, I would think
Amy
maybe I could get with Gwyneth Paltrow.
Eddie
Well, yeah. Cause I can't now. I'm married.
Bobby
Like, I Know, and also. But to be fair, you couldn't either if you're single.
Eddie
You don't know that. You don't know that.
Amy
Yeah, I think that's where we're different. I don't. I don't know that I had. No. There's not.
Eddie
No list at all.
Amy
I don't have a list. No. Is that. Is it weird that I don't have a list?
Bobby
You're an intelligent female.
Amy
Thanks.
Bobby
Dudes are, like, single. I'm gonna start at the top, and I'm gonna get a no from every chick I've ever dreamed of. And then finally, they've all said no, and maybe yes, then I'll move on. O, like coaching searches. You start at the top and, you
Eddie
know, then you take whatever you can.
Bobby
That's what a dude does.
Amy
All right. Thank you for making me feel better about that, because I was like, huh.
Bobby
Well, it started off weird. He's like, let's just say I'm single.
Eddie
I didn't know how to ask the question.
Bobby
Well, we thought you were going to say, amy, would you want to do it with me?
Eddie
No.
Bobby
That's what it felt like. Didn't it kind of feel like that, guys? That's what I thought. Yes, it did. You didn't.
Eddie
Would you get with me if I were you?
Bobby
Didn't mean that in your head. So you knew that.
Eddie
What, I didn't creep inside.
Amy
I know how you said it.
Eddie
Yes.
Bobby
How you said it.
Abby
Very much.
Bobby
Like, hypothetically, you're single, let's say.
Eddie
I get it.
Bobby
I get it.
Abby
I see what you're saying.
Eddie
I see what you're saying. Like, I mean, I just thought of the question, so I didn't really have time to think about it.
Amy
Right. No. No list.
Bobby
Okay, well, good luck.
Amy
Yeah. I don't even know how I would make a list, but isn't, like, one
Eddie
person be like, oh, that could be kind of fun.
Bobby
Give it a shot.
Amy
Like, that's famous.
Bobby
You could hit up. By the way, listen to part one. We talk about Amy breaking up with a boyfriend. If you're watching this on YouTube right now live, Amy and her boyfriend broke up, and then also she got DM by a celebrity. And we talked about that. But, yeah, there's not, like, one person you'd want to send a check one to to.
Amy
Because that's what he sent to me.
Bobby
Yeah,
Amy
No, I don't have that kind of. I haven't thought of anyone, but I also don't have that. Like, I figure they would want to be with someone like, Gwyneth Paltrow. Like, I'm not that left. Like, I. I wouldn't have that confidence anyways. So it doesn't.
Bobby
Have you kind of seen the corny line that dudes are using now? I've only seen it because a couple of went viral famous dudes where they'll do, like, C4 and the person's like, what? It's like, oh, you're a snack. I was acting like this is a vending machine.
Amy
Oh, that's funny.
Eddie
It's pretty good.
Bobby
But like, they've used it on, like. And then other people will show the same celebrity, like, tried it with them. So it's like their one line they use over and over again. Yeah, that's pretty funny.
Amy
Dirty dogs. I assume they're dirty. Are they single, though?
Bobby
I think one of them was the game, I think if I'm going. And then I saw another celebrity, too, so I could be wrong about who it is. I don't know if he's single or not.
Amy
Yeah, I guess they're dirty dogs if they're in a relationship because, you know, sometimes those come out.
Bobby
Do you see Kristen Cavallari talking about that?
Jana Kramer
About what?
Bobby
So she says that there are married dudes and some famous that will like every Instagram story she posts, but they will not like her feed because that you can see.
Amy
Oh, they like her stories.
Bobby
Every story. They're like, like, like, like, like, like, she's like. But they will not like her feed because that's public.
Eddie
Interesting.
Amy
Interesting. My friend said she has a following and she used to do the. These question box, like, spill the tea or whatever. And people would send in. She. She's like, obviously, I have no way to know if people are telling the truth or not. But she's like, I stopped doing. She would repost them. Like the question box. Like, she reposts all the tea that she was getting. And then she was like, it just started to get out of control because there was two people that kept coming up constantly. So she's like, there's no way. These are not true. Because there's so many of them.
Bobby
Like a celebrity doing dirty dog stuff.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
And there's so many. About one specific celebrity.
Abby
Two. Two in particular.
Bobby
Together.
Amy
No, but, you know, and she was like, I kind of had to stop doing it because I didn't want to get it. I felt like I could start. Her account started blowing up more and she started getting more and more and she didn't want the attention or to get sued and she didn'. She was Like, I don't know, it felt weird. But she's like, her followers miss it. They're like, when are you gonna do the tea again? She's like, I'm out. I don't wanna be a part of this drama. But she said two particular people showed up over and over.
Bobby
I would say 50% of touring artists, male artists that are married, cheat.
Eddie
50?
Bobby
50.
Eddie
Wow.
Bobby
And I think probably so high. It's high.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby
I would think they don't cheat perpetually, like, their whole life, but there's a series of months or years where they cheat on the road, get caught, have their comeuppance, and then get back together, and then they're like, good again. But I would say half of touring artists have had their season of cheating or they're in it and they still haven't been caught. Dudes, women. I don't know, but I think a lot of. I don't want to say most. I mean, a lot I'll say, because you. It's kind of intoxicating whenever you start to get famous. And I can say I had a very small window where it started, like, popping for me a little bit when I was just doing all kinds of stuff. And you're just like, wow. Everywhere you go, people are like, oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. And that goes away. And I've been in cycles of notoriety's been better than times, worse than at times, so. But it is. It's like the weirdest, coolest thing. But then when it goes away, I was talking to him and Anna Avery on the Bobbycast, and I even posted a clip of it. She was like, when you go viral, it's awesome. She's. Because it made her whole career. She was like, this popped for me so hard. She goes, but what sucks is when you don't go viral the next time. You're like, oh, do I suck now? Am I done? She goes, so it's all amazing to go viral, but then when you don't, you start questioning everything, even who you are, and you just want to be viral again. But there's something about whenever people just. There's just adoration everywhere you go for no reason. You don't deserve it. And you're like, wow, this is amazing. And that's what a lot of these artists get when they start to get famous. So there's girls throwing themselves at them or even if they get a new level of fame, there's women throwing themselves at them, and they may be married, but they're like, this is this is crazy. What do you mean I have to do this. That happens with a lot of dude artists. Cycles in, cycles out. There's some dirty dogs too. That.
Amy
Yeah, I think the two she mentioned, they've.
Bobby
I have an idea who the dirtiest dogs are. Oh, they've cycled out of it, I think because I know a one real dirty dog who cycled out of it who's back and they're good.
Amy
Yeah, I think.
Bobby
Is it that one?
Amy
Well, there's one of them.
Bobby
That one.
Amy
I don't know.
Bobby
You do know. Look at me in the eyes.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby
I was one of them. That one did.
Amy
I think so.
Eddie
Did you know what he was saying by looking in his eyes?
Amy
I think so.
Bobby
Because there's the dirtiest of dogs who's like good again. But most of the dirty dogs that get good again get dirty again a little bit too.
Amy
Yeah, I got. Well, from her standpoint, I guess we'll never know because she's not going to do her spill the tea anymore.
Eddie
Is the dirty dog. Like did you know publicly, like there are some publicly. We know dirty dogs.
Bobby
Not publicly, but I knew because he was very dirty and a bit sloppy, but he was also married sloppy with
Eddie
like hiding his tracks.
Bobby
Yeah. So is that probably that one dirty dog? There's two dirty and then the other one dirty dog. And are they kind of friends? A little bit.
Amy
I don't know.
Eddie
Hey, dirty dog attract dirty dog.
Amy
But.
Bobby
But this is small. It's a small town though.
Eddie
What are you talking.
Amy
Yeah, but the tea she was getting was directly from the girls.
Abby
Like.
Amy
Oh yeah. In this town. I met him at.
Bobby
Yeah, but I'm saying we know this stuff because it's a small town. The industry dog. Can't tell you guys. You'll tell everybody. You see Eddie's story later today. Guess who the dirty dog is.

Amy
Yeah. Because he was dragging what looked to be like, I can show you a car cover. Like a. You know how sometimes people have those little tiny sports cars and if they don't have a garage, they put a car cover over it?
Bobby
Okay.
Amy
So it's like he was dragging it. Like, maybe he didn't realize his car cover because it was a Porsche convertible. So I thought, okay, I think he's unaware. So I get up and I'm trying to get his attention, and I'm, like, waving, and it's like he's like. Shows me his wedding ring.
Eddie
Funny.
Bobby
Dang. He didn't want that action.
Amy
Uh, And I was like, like, okay.
Bobby
So he never knew his cover.
Amy
Okay, buddy. Yeah. So I was like, okay, I'm not interested in helping you because look. See what he's dragging? He was driving down the road.
Bobby
This whole massive cover.
Amy
Yes.
Eddie
Like, it was supposed to be on the car.
Bobby
No. Yeah, it was. But he never fully disconnected it.
Amy
Yeah. At first I thought it was like a mattress cover because it looked like that. And then I thought, okay, this is a tiny car. This looks like maybe it was one of those things that was covering the car. And I was like, okay, sorry, I'm not interested in you, sir.
Bobby
So he drove off with the COVID still attached.
Amy
Yes.
Eddie
I like this.
Bobby
He likes that ring finger. I like it.
Eddie
Because now Amy knows what it's like for when a guy goes up, like, oh, do you need help? Your tire flat. And the girl locks the car, the doors, and like, I'm good now.
Bobby
Personal to you.
Eddie
Yeah, I've done it.
Amy
You're like, I'm just here to help. And she thinks you're there to, like, snatch her.
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
Something else I wanted to bring up was someone saw Lunchbox giving Abby financial advice, which. The irony. Right, Lunchbox. Anything you want to say about this?
Lunchbox
No, I have no idea what we're talking about.
Bobby
Okay. Apparently Abby's thinking about selling her condo. If she moves out of her condo, because she has moved out. But, like, what she's going to do with it. And they heard you Giving her advice on what she should do with it.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah, okay. Yeah. I told her, I said, do not sell that. I said, if you want to make money, girl, you rent that sucker out. And it is a cash cow because you've already bought it, so you might as well keep it and get that income rolling. That is mailbox money. I absolutely told her that. I said, do not sell. That would be the dumbest thing you can do.
Bobby
Hey, Abby, is it fully paid off?
Abby
Yes.
Bobby
Okay. And.
Amy
Oh, nice.
Bobby
Yeah.
Abby
I mean, six years ago.
Bobby
Well, there's a lot of things to consider. One, are you going to do the work yourself? Are you going to hire a property manager? You're going to be a landlord. That's time. If you're not going to hire a property manager, like, all this stuff, it's not as easy as just go, keep it, rent it. Because also, you're about to see home prices start to go down. You're already seeing it a bit now. Like, if you sell it now, you're probably. Again, you cannot predict the home market, something that we've learned over the past 15 years. But it's very much starting to be more of a buyer's market where houses are starting to go down. So you have that to consider, because you could make money off of it, but if the prices continue to go down on homes, you're going to end up losing money. So there's a lot of things to factor in other than just mailbox money. It's the work you're gonna have to do on it as well. What are your thoughts, Abby? Now?
Abby
I mean, yeah, that makes me nervous, being a landlord and, like, people calling or whatever and then people tearing up the house. That also makes me nervous.
Lunchbox
But that's why they have a deposit, Abby. You don't have to worry about that. You put in the contract, you collect an extra month's rent as a deposit. They destroy it. You keep that deposit when they move out. Abby, it is money in your pocket. You absolutely rent it out. Don't even think about selling it.
Amy
Lunchbox. Let me ask you this. Are you. Do you currently have property? You rent?
Lunchbox
No, I don't rent it out.
Amy
No, no, no, I know you're.
Bobby
No. To rent out.
Amy
I'm saying, are you a landlord? Like, do you currently have an investment?
Lunchbox
I'm working on it.
Bobby
You know, so.
Amy
No, I just didn't know if you'd ever done it.
Lunchbox
No, but I mean, it's. That's what you need to do.
Bobby
I've done it, and it's Miserable.
Lunchbox
If you have an extra home, that's what you do.
Bobby
It's miserable. I've done it. I even had a property manager. I would not recommend it unless you have complete patience. 100 patience. And you can get a deposit all you want for 1500 bucks or whatever it is, or first and last month's rent. But the damage they do is always more than that because they just tear
Eddie
up the house because it's not theirs.
Bobby
It's just living. It's like if you get a rental car, you don't treat it bad on purpose, but you kind of don't care that much.
Amy
But if she can do it and hold on to it and that can go up in value, if she holds onto it for, gosh, even five, ten years like this could be a good payoff.
Bobby
My only. My only point is there are more things to weigh than just. You're just going to make mailbox money. If you're not going to hire a property manager, take care of it. It's such a pain in the butt. We did that at first, and it was like 2:00am Get a call. Okay. Got to fix this.
Amy
Something broken.
Bobby
Then you got to call and get the vendor. You got to get people to go out there to fix it. So there's a lot of situational awareness you need to have whenever you're renting out a house.
Eddie
What about Airbnb? Vrbo? Like, I wouldn't.
Bobby
We did.
Lunchbox
It's too far out. Eddie Hearst is not a good location for Airbnb. It's too far from downtown.
Bobby
Also, you're gonna have to pay somebody to come and clean it. You're gonna. That is more of a headache than renting it out.
Amy
I did that once, and we hired a company to manage everything. But then the percentage that that company was taking, then it was like, we did it for a year, and they were like, oh, let's just sell the house. Yeah.
Bobby
It feels like Amy and I have done this and let's buy rent. Yeah.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Abby, if you need a property manager, I'm sitting right here. I will take the phone calls at 2am for a fee.
Amy
How much?
Abby
Yeah. What's the fee?
Lunchbox
200 bucks a month.
Bobby
Oh, Abby, sign up for that immediately.
Abby
That's so good.
Bobby
Run. Don't walk to that agreement and make sure that he does, because a property manager will cost you more than that.
Amy
The percentage is way higher than that.
Bobby
Yeah, it's a percentage.
Amy
Yeah.
Abby
But can you imagine him trying to find something, like, to set up to fix it?
Bobby
No, no.
Lunchbox
You just Call a plumber and you say, hey, I need you to go fix it.
Eddie
I feel like he'd be like, I'll get to it.
Bobby
At some point I gotta pay Ray back first. But after I do that, Abby, I
Lunchbox
can make phone calls and line up appointments all day. You give me 200 bucks a month, I will do that for you.
Bobby
You've also got to be out there at times. There's a lot that a property manager does.
Amy
Yeah. Collect rent. What if they don't pay? Then you gotta go enforce.
Bobby
There's not a right answer, by the way, is my whole point. There is, there's not rent it out. It just depends on how much. What your patience level is, what the work you're wanting to do while you have it is your somewhat prediction on what the market's doing based on what the market has been doing. If home prices are going down and you think they're going to continue to go down a little bit, I would sell it and get the most out that you can right now because you can invest that money with that and make more money than you would make renting your property out.
Amy
Q Lunchbox now saying, I'll invest the money for you.
Lunchbox
No, no, no, no. I. I'm gonna be a property manager for 200amonth. And can I say something that stuck out to me, Abby, did your parents buy that for you?
Abby
No.
Lunchbox
So you paid off that whole thing in six years?
Abby
Yeah, actually it was eight years, but yeah. I mean, I don't have.
Bobby
Why does that matter?
Amy
I mean, I'm kind of curious.
Lunchbox
Her casual way of going, oh, yeah,
Bobby
of course it's paid off.
Lunchbox
It's been six years. Like that doesn't add up.
Abby
I didn't say of course. I was like, yes, it is.
Bobby
I mean that's. Yeah, that's. That's quick to pay it off.
Eddie
Yeah, it is.
Bobby
In eight, let's say eight years even.
Lunchbox
Eight years. Yeah, but who cares?
Amy
Were you doubling down on your mortgage?
Abby
Oh, yeah, yeah, I did that all the time. Whenever I had any extra money, I was putting it towards like the principal.
Eddie
Smart.
Amy
Not bad.
Bobby
And if it's a 20 year and she doubled it up, up. That's pretty close.
Amy
Yeah. Single income, no kids. Yeah.
Bobby
She got two cars.
Eddie
She does have. She's balling over there.
Abby
Yeah, I've been working. I've been working it.
Bobby
Yeah. Someone had just seen Lunchbox giving Abby advice.
Abby
Well, see, actually it was. It kind of did get me to want to do that. But now that you guys say all the problems with being A lady.
Lunchbox
Abby, don't listen to them. Don't be stupid.
Bobby
We've done it. We've done it, Abby.
Lunchbox
Just. We will sit down and we will go in the conference room, and I will break it down for you.
Abby
We will. Okay. I'd love that.
Lunchbox
You will make more money if you rent it out over the next 10 years than you will if you sell it.
Bobby
But you don't know that. And you can. I know it. Standard 8%. If you're investing, you could probably make 8% of your investing. And it doesn't matter. Abby, all I'm saying is there is not a one size fits all, correct answer on this. There's a lot of things that you need. And your fiance, he's. He works in money, right?
Abby
Yeah, exactly.
Amy
What does he say?
Bobby
Yeah, I would listen to him.
Abby
No, he's like, why would you not sell it?
Amy
Oh, my gosh.
Lunchbox
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby
The headache is money. There's a big part of it because it is a headache. It sucks because that's like. It's an asset that you have that you constantly have to take care of. Even if you have a property manager, like, you're constantly thinking about it and the money that's going back into it because you have to keep paying. The property manager doesn't pay for all the stuff that's happening to it. You pay them to line it up. Then you have to pay for all the stuff that happens.
Amy
Right. Suddenly it's gonna be like, oh, shoot, the air conditioner went out. That's an interesting point. Selling it. And then now that she is marrying a financial advisor, he wants half the money.
Lunchbox
That's why he wants her to sell it.
Amy
No, I bet he doesn't. Then Abby can work it into like, this is my property. I'm doing this before we're actually getting married. And he. He can help her invest it wisely.
Eddie
That's interesting. Is her fiance giving her bad advice to get. Keep some of the money if she
Bobby
sells it before they get married? It's not an option that he gets anything.
Eddie
Right, right. Right. That's before they get married.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby
So my only. The only job that I have in this conversation is to say, abby, there is not a one size fits all. As someone who has rented, it's miserable. It really. It sucks. However, if it is your goal to make money and do the extra work, that's great. You can do that. But you can also sell and invest that money. If it is money that you're just getting back because you've paid it off and make standard, easily 8% on that money a year. So you will still get mailbox money on that asset you're just now selling and making the money from it right now. So it's up to you. What are you leaning towards?
Abby
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby
Well, we're not making you commit now.
Abby
I know. On the spot. Keeping it because it's, like, sentimental. That's the reason.
Bobby
Don't do it because it's sentimental.
Abby
But it's my first house.
Amy
She's got a financial fiance, a financial advisor fiance, and you're.
Lunchbox
And your financial guru, Lunchbox.
Amy
She's like, I want to keep it for sentimental. It.
Abby
It's so cute.
Lunchbox
Abby, don't be bullied into selling it. Keep the house.
Bobby
No, no, I think you should keep it. If you want to do the work, that's great. However, don't keep it because it's sentimental. Not a house. That's what you keep.
Amy
Honestly, like, I can't even imagine or a picture what she paid for it eight years ago and what's. Even. What it's going to sell for now. Like, you'll. You'll.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Abby
It was a lot. It's a lot.
Amy
That's crazy.
Bobby
Okay, Flex. All right.
Abby
I'm just. So. You know how Nashville, like, the boom was? It's crazy.
Bobby
Yeah.
Abby
It almost doubled.
Bobby
Yeah. But they're starting to trickle. I mean, we sold a house the last year and a half or so every month. It was, like, slightly less. Slightly less. Like, it's getting slightly easier to buy
Eddie
a house now and getting harder to sell a house, even.
Bobby
Yeah. Yeah. All right, well, let us know, Abby, what you do.
Abby
I will.
Bobby
I would talk to your boyfriend, and just because you sell it doesn't mean you can't make money off of it, because you're making money off the money that you get from it.
Abby
Okay. Lunchbox can make a comparison sheet of the.
Bobby
I would not trust any sheet that he makes. I would have your boy, your fiance, do the comparison sheet.
Abby
Okay, well, he's already told me to sell it, so he's an idiot.
Amy
Well, I mean, what do you say to that?
Bobby
I don't know.
Abby
I don't know.
Bobby
Nothing.
Abby
He's not.
Bobby
Eddie tried the Big Arch burger. Sure did.
Eddie
Just like the CEO. It's. It's pretty good. I mean, there's nothing too special about it. It's huge, though. The one thing I didn't realize, it's
Lunchbox
a big, big Burger.
Eddie
And I would say it's like a Big Mac, but. But bigger than a Big Mac. So I wouldn't even call the Big Mac the big burger in McDonald's anymore. Like, big Mac is a baby burger
Bobby
compared to the Big Arch, and that's just a pill, right? It's massive, and there's, like, sesame seeds on the bun.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's fine. It's fine. I just saw the CEO biting it, and I'm like, I need to try this.
Bobby
You mean nibbling it?
Eddie
Yeah, nibbling it.
Bobby
Taking a nibble. I've not had the Big Arch yet. It does look good. That CEO bit that went viral made me want to try the Big Arch burger for sure.
Eddie
It worked big time.
Bobby
But it happened right when we were having the baby. So I haven't. Haven't been over to get the Big Arch yet. Let's see, what else. Amy has one simple question for the guys. And you want us to write the golf question down? Write the answer down or what?
Amy
Yeah, I just need. Don't. No talking, please.
Bobby
Okay.
Amy
Answer honestly. How long does it take you to play 18 holes of golf?
Eddie
That's easy.
Bobby
Okay, let's write this down.
Eddie
It's.
Amy
It's.
Eddie
This is going to be an average, Amy, because obviously it can't be the same every time, so.
Bobby
Okay, sure.
Amy
Okay. On average, if you were to just go out by yourself and play 18 holes, how long is it going to take you?
Bobby
Okay.
Eddie
By yourself.
Lunchbox
Oh, by yourself.
Bobby
Well, no, it's just. Nobody plays by themselves. You go and you play 18 holes, but you should say a foursome, a standard foursome, because even when you go by yourself, they stick you with three other people or two other people, or you're by yourself or you get stuck behind a fourth.
Amy
That's not gonna work for my.
Bobby
It is.
Amy
This is my question.
Eddie
No, I got you. I have my dad on the average.
Bobby
I'm in.
Eddie
I'm in, too.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby
Lunchbox, are you in?
Amy
All right. What do they say, Eddie?
Eddie
It is four hours.
Bobby
I have four and a half hours. Lunchbox, I have four hours.
Amy
Oh, okay. So I saw this dad go golfing with his, you know, son, who's a baby, and they went. It was just him. And he's like, I'm golfing with my son. But he filmed the whole thing, and he said that all 18 holes took him, like, one hour and 56 minutes.
Bobby
If you're playing by yourself and there's nobody in front of you, you could do that. You can play in two hours.
Amy
And then I saw all these comments are like, dude, I'm gonna need you to take this down. Because my wife thinks golf takes four hours.
Bobby
Well, that's why you thought it was shorter, too.
Amy
Yeah. I mean, I understand if you're playing with other people, but that's why you
Bobby
mostly have to play with other people. Unless you're playing at a private club and you're going at a time where nobody's in front of you. Because if you're playing by yourself and there's still a group in front of you, you're gonna. It's gonna take you for hours.
Amy
He came upon, like, he filmed the whole thing. He's like, oh, we just got behind. We're sort of waiting. We're behind some people. But he also took time to, like, film and then talk to his baby.
Bobby
There's no way you do that in two hours.
Eddie
No way.
Bobby
There's no way.
Eddie
Sounds like you played nine holes.
Bobby
That's a nine hole time.
Amy
No, he did 18.
Bobby
And if you're gonna actually. With a drive, it's five. It's a five hour. If I tell my wife.
Amy
What do you mean, the drop? Like the drive to the off course?
Bobby
Yeah, like from.
Eddie
From.
Amy
I don't know if you meant the driver.
Bobby
From out of the house to back to the house. It's a five. Five and a half hour.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby
Ordeal journey. Yeah.
Eddie
Yeah. And then sometimes at the turn, they call that the turn after nine holes. You get some lunch, a little food. Yeah.
Amy
Okay. Well, I was just curious what y' all would say, and it seems like, I guess it's. It's four hours.
Bobby
It is.
Eddie
You think, like, it's some code that we have amongst each other.
Bobby
Yes, it's bro code to always.
Amy
Yeah, there y' all are. Like, take your time.
Bobby
No, it's. At least it's four. Minimally, if you're playing standard. I. That's why I put four and a half. Little buffer.
Amy
Okay.
Eddie
I would love for it to be shorter.
Bobby
Me too.
Eddie
4 hours is a long time. No, I'm serious.
Bobby
Yeah, it is a long time. It's. It's why it's so hard to play. Correct. Because you have to cut. Our CFO texted me the other day. I was like, hey, need you to come and host the golf outing that we're having again in Austin. I haven't played once in, like, five, six months, and it's a super nice course. I'm gonna be terrible, and I have to play with, like, the CFO and, like, other mate. That sucks for me not to go and do it. And I like doing it, but not being able to practice at all. And it's not like I can practice now.
Eddie
You can't.
Bobby
I had a super baby.
Eddie
You can't tell your wife, like, I gotta practice.
Bobby
No, I will. No. I showed her the text. I said, hey, I got the text.
Amy
Look.
Bobby
I was like, I'm gonna go and do this. And she's like, it's great. I said, I have to practice a little bit. I'm gonna be humiliated. She was like, I get it.
Eddie
Oh, that's great then. Okay, we're going today.
Amy
Remember the year I was supposed to start practicing so I could get invited to this stuff? Like, I don't get to mingle with the CFO because I don't golf.
Eddie
Okay, man, I, I played with Parker McCollum last time. Mingles business deals.
Amy
Get me in. Put me in coach.
Bobby
Not for this year.
Amy
Why?
Bobby
You don't know how to play golf.
Amy
Yes, I do.
Bobby
No, you don't. You thought it took an hour and a half to play 42 holes.
Amy
Well, I can be. I can just. I don't know. It is a cool.
Bobby
You can ride.
Amy
I can ride. Yeah.
Bobby
But. Yeah, that's boring. Nobody wants to ride.
Amy
It's the place in Austin that's really. My. What's crazy about that place is my sister's in laws are. They're out there and because of that, my sister's kids are. Have a membership there now. They're like eight. My nephew's like, like, they're like, I'm like, what? That's crazy the way they do it with your kids and your grandkids are
Bobby
allowed to go and nothing. You're not charged for anything.
Amy
No, nothing. So that's what I'm saying. For my sister's kids, it's kind of crazy. They're like, I think we should go to Austin this weekend.
Bobby
You have to pay a membership. But it's, it's such a high join rate. I'm not a member, but.
Amy
Well, you have to, I think, have a home there.
Bobby
Yeah, you have to have a home there and then pay the crazy fees. But there's one like here that I play with friends. I'm not a member of it, but it's called Troubadour here. It's a discovery property. They're all discovery properties.
Amy
Yeah. My niece loved it so much she started applying like she's graduating college in May. And when she was out there at her grandparents place, like, she started talking to some of the girls working there and they said it's awesome. They travel around to the different ones, like Yellowstone and there's One in the Bahamas.
Bobby
I played the one in the Bahamas because our CFO was like, hey, you should go stay at my house at the Bahamas. So I did. This is years ago. And he was like, while you're out there, you should go play on that golf. And I played it. It was crazy.
Amy
It's crazy.
Bobby
Yeah.
Amy
Well, so she's applied, like, and she's been doing interviews. And so hopefully she. She went to, I guess the Yellowstone one is maybe in Montana.
Eddie
That would be cool.
Bobby
Yellowstone.
Amy
And yeah, yeah. So she applied as the only job available was the housekeeping manager. And so she applied and she's like, I don't know if I'm gonna get it, but I think just to get into hospitality like that she's really excited and she would be great at that. And you can work your way up. But I was like, well, did you say, hey, my grandparents have a flat? She was like, no. I'm like, good for you.
Bobby
Yeah, that's fun. So I can't get you in this year, but you have to.
Amy
It's already set. Like, it's already set, you know? What do you mean it's already set? Like, all the play, everybody's already. It's already.
Bobby
I don't know. But like, I had to bend rules to get Eddie in last year.
Amy
I get it.
Eddie
But then once I made it in, though, I'm like your niece, though, once I got in, they're like, dude, you need to come every year. You're so much fun.
Bobby
Are you playing this year? They ask you?
Eddie
No, not yet.
Amy
Oh, that's right. What if I knit like a. You know how you hit the ball to get it to the hole, close to it and I mean, he wants to play.
Eddie
What are you talking about?
Bobby
He's like, you know how you take that club thing and you slap that round? Wally?
Amy
No, I'm like, the closer. Like, I tap it in.
Bobby
Yeah, that's not a thing.
Eddie
Anyone can do that.
Bobby
But it's like Amy saying she shot free throws, like, and then I did it.
Amy
Yeah, but I did it. You said you. You can't hit this many threes. And I did it. So, like, I can probably get to working.
Eddie
Go shoot your target.
Bobby
Score.
Amy
Imagine when I show our CFO that I'm ambidextrous at golf because I can't do that.
Eddie
You need something.
Amy
I've showed y' all video.
Bobby
You need separate clothes.
Amy
Bobby has left handed clubs.
Bobby
They're too tall for you. Oh, gosh, there.
Amy
You have an excuse for everything, don't you?
Bobby
No, I have a reason. There's a difference.
Amy
Okay, whatever.
Bobby
You probably, you probably could ask.
Amy
Okay, I'm probably gonna be busy and you could ride because I'm gonna be very busy.

If you missed this episode, you missed everything from viral scandals and property advice to an inside look at the awkwardness of meeting significant others and the myth of a “hot guy” list. At the heart, it’s a classic Bobby Bones Show: equal parts pop culture, personal anecdotes, and group therapy—with a strong dose of laughs.
