Hyundai, an official partner of FIFA the Bobby Boss show about to walk in the studio is a guy named Kyler Ennis. He's been on the show for years because he listens to every game that we do and Tabulates all the results. And then at the beginning of every new year, he calls in and tells us who won the most games, percentages, etc. So we've never met him. Yeah, he's coming in now. His name is again Kyler. And his. Hey, Kyler. Good to see you, buddy.
Scuba Steve
In the flesh.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, have a seat right over there. Kyler's a big dude.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, sure is.
Bobby Bones
I didn't realize Kyler was so tall and large. Hey, you have a microphone there somewhere. There he is. Hey, good to meet you, man.
Kyler Ennis
Hey, good to meet you guys. I'm happy to be here.
Bobby Bones
I saw your Instagram story. It was like, I'm Nashville, gonna do the show. That's cool. That's cool. So here's some stuff about Kyler. This is a two parter, because first of all, you listen. I don't know if you listen to every show, but you listen to every game.
Kyler Ennis
I listen to every podcast.
Bobby Bones
Oh, my God. See, I get tired of me.
Kyler Ennis
I got a lot of window time.
Bobby Bones
So what do you do for a living?
Kyler Ennis
I'm a job site superintendent.
Bobby Bones
So you're just making sure everybody's doing their jobs right?
Kyler Ennis
Correct.
Bobby Bones
So you sit in the ears or truck job?
Kyler Ennis
Trailer truck.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kyler Ennis
Yep.
Bobby Bones
Man, can you imagine having to listen to every show? Because I get. I get annoyed having to do every show with just us. He listens to every show. How long ago did you start keeping track of the games that we play?
Kyler Ennis
Keeping track? Four years.
Bobby Bones
And why did you think that would be something that you should do?
Kyler Ennis
Honestly? Well, you guys argued about it a lot, about who won, and then I kind of saw it as a window of opportunity to maybe get on the show, like, be able to call in. And you guys actually take my call.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kyler Ennis
So, like, oh, I'm just gonna keep track. And I'm weirdly obsessed with numbers. I like numbers a lot.
Bobby Bones
So where do you live?
Kyler Ennis
I live in Ozark, Missouri.
Bobby Bones
Where? What part of the state is that? Bottom?
Kyler Ennis
Yeah, it's 30 minutes north of Branson.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
So Kyler's here. That's the reason that we first would talk to him. And then we realized that he was doing stuff on social media that was freaking exploding and he never brought it up. Wasn't that wild?
Scuba Steve
That was wild.
Bobby Bones
We'd be like, dude, you're also, like, super viral all the time. So you travel around, you give people strength tests.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah, so my channel started with, like, DIY stuff, and then I just saw that thing. And I'm a competitive person, extremely competitive. And So I took it to the job site. I was like, hey, let's see who's stronger, my electricians or my plumbers. And then it got like 4 million views. I was like, oh, there might be something to this. I'm gonna keep it up.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's awesome. Were you so surprised that it got that many views?
Kyler Ennis
Oh, yeah. I mean, you never know what's actually going to hit, you know? And then that was one thing that was like, consistently hitting time and time again. And then, like I said, I'm super competitive. And so I started. Then I started like, oh, well, I'm pretty good at this. If. If, hey, if you can beat me, I'll give you 100 bucks. And then that kind of amps up the competition a little bit, you know, just makes it fun.
Bobby Bones
How big a boy are you?
Kyler Ennis
Six, three?
Amy
Two?
Kyler Ennis
Five?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. 630. 225.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah.
Amy
Interesting way to ask it.
Bobby Bones
That's Roy Mercer.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
How big old boy are you? Okay, did you get the Roy Mercer reference? Amy's like, I'm perfect.
Amy
I was like, wow, Bobby, so how big a boy are you? If I had asked it like that, y' all would be like, amy, stop.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, maybe.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But I think Kyler and I come from about the same part of the
Amy
world, so y' all get it.
Bobby Bones
So what's this? Did you buy the. The grip machine from, like, the Internet or.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah, I just ordered some. Ordered it off Amazon. This is like my, I don't know, sixth one. There's been a few that have broken.
Bobby Bones
Is it because so much use or because some people are just so strong?
Kyler Ennis
So much use, Use and abuse.
Bobby Bones
You ever met anybody that's so freaking strong? And you're like, dang, that's wild.
Kyler Ennis
There's one guy, he was my plumbing excavator and he's like 7 foot tall. 385. And he just absolutely crushed it. He's the strongest guy I've tested for sure.
Amy
Wow.
Bobby Bones
I was thinking about this because we're gonna do this.
Scuba Steve
Oh, great.
Bobby Bones
I think I'm last. I'm gonna be honest with you. I think I have the weakest hands of all the dudes.
Kyler Ennis
You just did a test at your physical, right?
Bobby Bones
I did.
Kyler Ennis
Did they have you hold it over your head or like at a 90 degree angle? Do they have you do it any specific way?
Bobby Bones
They didn't even tell me I was doing it. They're like, here, grab this and pull. And I did it. And I was like, all right. They said, okay, you're strengthen this Hand. I was like, I didn't even warm up. No, we were, like, measuring this, and then I did the other hand, which was a little bit more. But no, you posted above your head.
Kyler Ennis
Some people have said you're stronger if you hold it above your head, but I don't know. I just tell the whoever I'm testing, like, hey, just however you can feel like you're the strongest, just rip it.
Bobby Bones
I feel the strongest naked.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Oh, If I'm completely butt naked, I feel like I can pull the hardest. So I think there are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 dudes. If I were gonna rank, I think this is gonna play out interesting. I think Scuba Steve is number one.
Scuba Steve
Well, no, he's just angry. That doesn't equal strong.
Bobby Bones
It does, though, sometimes. I think Raymundo is number two.
Scuba Steve
That's strong.
Bobby Bones
I think Mike D is number three.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Amy
Really? No offense, Mike.
Bobby Bones
Dang, dude.
Eddie
Ahead of you. Do you think Mike needs.
Bobby Bones
Dude, I don't have strong hands.
Amy
Bobby, are you just setting it up?
Eddie
No, I'm telling you so he can be.
Bobby Bones
I don't have strong hands. And I saw my results on the last one. I ain't strong in my hands. Nothing about it. Look at my. I got little pee pee hands. It's nothing.
Amy
Also, an interesting way to describe that.
Scuba Steve
Pee pee hands.
Eddie
Pee pee hands. A little weird.
Bobby Bones
Then it goes lunchbox.
Scuba Steve
Oh, my.
Bobby Bones
It's so stupid.
Amy
Eddie, you do have low T. You're
Scuba Steve
doing that just to make me mad.
Bobby Bones
I'm not. If I were betting on this, it would go lunchbox, then Eddie, then me. So it's your machine. Do you have to, like, plug it in or anything?
Kyler Ennis
No, you just.
Amy
You just squeeze it.
Kyler Ennis
Squeeze it. Go.
Bobby Bones
Can we get him a piece of paper? And I don't want him to tell us the results as we do them. Oh, we'll do them all. He'll write them all down, rank them, and then he'll read them to us like that. Is that okay with you?
Kyler Ennis
Yeah. It has, like, a screen on it, so you just have to not look at the screen.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Well, we're also not going to know anybody else's score.
Kyler Ennis
Oh, true.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So, all right, Abby, if you'll bring a mince and paper here.
Scuba Steve
And so there's no practice, no warmup, nothing. You just go and squeeze.
Kyler Ennis
I mean, you can if you want to.
Scuba Steve
Really?
Bobby Bones
It's like, what do you do? Right? You practice?
Kyler Ennis
I don't know. Thank you.
Bobby Bones
If you squeeze your hands. Okay, so, Scuba, you want to come in first?
Scuba Steve
That's Fine, I'll do it. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
All right. Here is our executive producer, Scuba Steve. He's coming in. Kyler, what is this thing called, this machine?
Kyler Ennis
It's called a dynamometer.
Scuba Steve
Oh, dynamite.
Kyler Ennis
So. And then we'll. So we'll test on this one, and then I actually just brought this one. You guys can keep it here.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah.
Kyler Ennis
I thought, like, if you had any guests that came in, you know, that could be a fun thing.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. What are you doing?
Kyler Ennis
Throw at him.
Bobby Bones
It is a fun thing, Scuba. Stretching his legs.
Eddie
Like, what?
Bobby Bones
It's been a long time. So we pick one hand. You give it a rip. Do you. Do you want it?
Eddie
Oh, you only do one hand? Oh, man.
Bobby Bones
Well, yeah, I don't. I mean, I don't think you do it both at the same time.
Eddie
I don't know.
Scuba Steve
That would be cheating.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay, so this could get ugly. Do we want to get just one pull, or do we get two?
Scuba Steve
How do you normally do it?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you tell us.
Kyler Ennis
I mean, if the first one felt good, you can roll with it. Or if you want to try your right hand and then your left hand. I'll just take the highest sc.
Bobby Bones
Okay, that's good.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
All right. But you can't go to same hand.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Scuba Steve, are you ready?
Scuba Steve
Yes, I'm ready.
Eddie
Yes.
Scuba Steve
Like this. And grip it.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah. Just one hand only.
Eddie
Yeah. Take your other hand.
Kyler Ennis
Like, hold it. Hold it to your side or however you feel strongest. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Area 3.
Scuba Steve
Hold it in place.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kyler Ennis
And then whenever you let go, it'll show, like, the number that you maxed out.
Bobby Bones
Don't say your number. Three, two, go. Dude, that's a strong hand. You don't have to hold it.
Scuba Steve
Hey, relax, bro.
Eddie
Are you supposed to hold it that long?
Scuba Steve
Slipped a little bit, though, because my hands are sweaty. Oh, how long do you have to hold it? Because he held it for, like, 30 seconds.
Kyler Ennis
I mean, you can hold it for, like. You can just go.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's what I think you do one time.
Kyler Ennis
Like, you can.
Bobby Bones
Scuba's, like, taking all the frustration out
Nikki
of his whole life.
Kyler Ennis
You're doing, like, a deadlift and just pull really hard and let go.
Eddie
You already did it.
Amy
You already did it.
Bobby Bones
Left hand that was slipped because you held up for 10 minutes.
Scuba Steve
I'm the first person. I'm the guinea pig.
Bobby Bones
Okay, wait, wait.
Scuba Steve
That first one, that's the read, though. Whatever the first one was.
Bobby Bones
Well, he said you could do it. You have to do it with your other hand. If you do a second one, you can't do the same hand.
Scuba Steve
Which one are we going to test in? My first one or second one then
Bobby Bones
as long as you do the second one in your other hand, it's fine. But you can't do two on the same hand.
Eddie
He said it's whatever's higher.
Scuba Steve
Okay, I'll do my left hand then. Now there you go.
Bobby Bones
He poops his pants as soon as he pulls it. And go, There he goes. This one he's holding down by his knee.
Eddie
He's holding again.
Amy
You can let go.
Bobby Bones
Whoa. Whoa.
Eddie
Is that better?
Bobby Bones
I don't know, dude.
Scuba Steve
Interesting.
Amy
Okay, interesting.
Bobby Bones
Scuba Steve is done. Hey, Raymondo, you come in. Scuba Steve can take your spot there on the old soundboard if needed.
Eddie
Is very interesting. Hey, my 1. Turn that upside down so Ray doesn't see the number.
Kyler Ennis
Good call.
Bobby Bones
All right, Raymondo. What I do. How you feeling, buddy?
Kyler Ennis
I feel good. I'm going.
Bobby Bones
Baseball hands. I'm going right. All right, all right.
Scuba Steve
Hey, Ray, when did you work out last
Bobby Bones
talking the microphone there? A couple of days ago, dude. A couple of days ago, dude.
Scuba Steve
Thanks, dude.
Bobby Bones
All right, here we go. Right. Ready? Yeah, Get. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Scuba Steve
He kind of leaned that up against his thigh, though.
Amy
What popped?
Bobby Bones
Hey, was that cheating when he pushed it up against his body like that? I didn't push anything.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I would just say that was controversial. I would let you do with the same hand again because they're gonna. But they're gonna claim you cheated because it's pushing on your leg.
Scuba Steve
Don't be pushing on your leg.
Bobby Bones
And go. There he goes. Looks like he had diarrhea. So my. Again, my prediction is Scuba then Ray. All right, Mike D. You want to go next? Let's go. Mike D Is walking up to the grip machine. Kyler's writing down a score. And what a weird tool. And go. Mike is shaking.
Scuba Steve
Very silent.
Bobby Bones
Hey, it's quiet, Mike. He lives silent.
Kyler Ennis
There you go.
Bobby Bones
Are you good, Mike? One pool.
Scuba Steve
You don't want to do your other hand. Okay.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Writing it down. Happy with one pull lunchbox.
Eddie
Oh, yeah. You ready, man?
Scuba Steve
Here we go.
Bobby Bones
All right.
Eddie
Don't need to do my shirt on or off.
Bobby Bones
On, please, for the rest of us, which handy doing.
Eddie
I don't want to see the numbers. I do Mr. Muscles on the right.
Bobby Bones
All right, here we go. Here goes.
Eddie
Down like this.
Scuba Steve
Do it above your head.
Eddie
Above my head?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And go.
Scuba Steve
That barely moved.
Amy
I mean, it also hit the light.
Bobby Bones
It also nailed the light. I know. Yeah.
Scuba Steve
All right.
Bobby Bones
There you go.
Eddie
How do I do? I need to reset?
Kyler Ennis
Nope, it'll reset on its own.
Eddie
Oh, you want me to do down here? Ready? Sure. Sure.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
Whatever you want. Whatever you want on the back.
Eddie
I don't know what the difference was. I didn't see my first number.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox is just. It's a laughing emoji.
Amy
He said you're gonna want to go with the first one,
Eddie
Eddie.
Scuba Steve
Am I next?
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
All right. I'm ready for this.
Scuba Steve
Go, baby.
Bobby Bones
What's your goal here? What?
Scuba Steve
The strongest?
Bobby Bones
To be the overall strongest.
Scuba Steve
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I mean, so, yeah. You don't know the numbers, I'm saying, is your goal to beat anyone specifically?
Scuba Steve
I want to be the strongest.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I'd be. I'd be surprised.
Eddie
All right.
Scuba Steve
Ready?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Go.
Kyler Ennis
Break it.
Bobby Bones
Dude, that looked pretty good.
Kyler Ennis
You want to do the other hand?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that looked pretty good. Hey, Eddie. I'm surprised at that. Yeah. Yeah.
Amy
Well, that was an interesting maneuver.
Bobby Bones
High to low and go.
Scuba Steve
Oh, that one feels weak and feels weak. The left. That's not a good number.
Eddie
I feel. That does feel weird, doesn't it?
Bobby Bones
I can tell you right now, somehow Eddie pulled a groin doing that. All right. Is it me?
Eddie
All right, Bobby.
Scuba Steve
I don't really feel good about that.
Bobby Bones
You don't feel good?
Scuba Steve
No, not really.
Bobby Bones
I'm going to go my offhand first. My right hand.
Kyler Ennis
Oh, you squeezed it when you let
Scuba Steve
go, you have to do it again.
Eddie
Oh, no, it was an error.
Kyler Ennis
You squeeze, and then, like, if you. As you're letting go, you, like, barely touch it. It'll.
Scuba Steve
Well, that's the number, though. Kyler, right?
Kyler Ennis
2.2.
Bobby Bones
Oh, man. Okay. Okay.
Amy
Oh, man.
Bobby Bones
That's all I had in that hand. Okay, let's try again, though. Same hand. Ready?
Kyler Ennis
Ready?
Eddie
Oh, I think the squatting helps. Like when you squat like that. Squat.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I did squat.
Scuba Steve
I don't even know.
Bobby Bones
My body just. Hey, my body just happened. All right, let's try the other hand. This is my. This is my left hand. This is my good hand. There we go.
Scuba Steve
Oh, he did the opposite.
Bobby Bones
The same thing. I got two.
Scuba Steve
You serious?
Eddie
Oh, my God.
Scuba Steve
Nobody else did that. That's interesting.
Kyler Ennis
Like, you weirdly, like, chance that I.
Bobby Bones
I went all the way past 100
Kyler Ennis
and it reset it to have to go past 265.
Bobby Bones
Is there a chance we'll pass 265 and it reset it, too?
Kyler Ennis
I don't think so.
Amy
Is this how people on the job site do it?
Scuba Steve
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Eddie
How do they do it?
Amy
They don't go in squat.
Eddie
Do they grunt?
Bobby Bones
Dude, my back hurts.
Scuba Steve
You kind of have to grunt.
Bobby Bones
I feel my back hurts. Dude, I think I hurt my back.
Scuba Steve
You put everything in it, man.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Oh, man. Okay. All right.
Scuba Steve
He's crunching the numbers.
Bobby Bones
Crunching the numbers. Okay, so there are six of us without giving us any results yet. I'll take a second there, Kyler.
Eddie
So are we gonna go to strongest?
Bobby Bones
We're gonna go lease.
Eddie
Okay.
Scuba Steve
Man, I feel like Scuba won this thing just by looking at him. I don't even know his number.
Bobby Bones
Well, he has the most rage to get out. We saw that. If you guys want to follow Kyler, you'll put that up there for me. You can goylerenis on Instagram and TikTok. And you. It's all the same. And YouTube. Okay.
Amy
Spell Ennis.
Bobby Bones
E, N, N I S. Nice. Yeah, like penis, but put extra N in and remove the P. That was
Kyler Ennis
my nickname in high school, Kyler.
Bobby Bones
Penis. Okay, well, I don't know. Let me ask you guys. Would you rather go weakest first or strong? I don't know, because they both are interesting.
Amy
Oh, Go weakest to strongest, I think.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Weak.
Bobby Bones
Because I don't care to win. I just don't want to be last.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. So you're right. I think we should go strongest first.
Bobby Bones
Strongest first. Strongest first is more interesting.
Kyler Ennis
Okay, we do this, are we gonna see if any of the girls.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we can do that for sure. I think they have their own bracket.
Kyler Ennis
Okay.
Scuba Steve
Right.
Bobby Bones
They have the women's NCAA tournament.
Kyler Ennis
Makes sense.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Who is the strongest baby grip on the show?
Kyler Ennis
Scuba.
Bobby Bones
Scuba stage
Kyler Ennis
by 2.4 pounds. He got 131.1.31.
Bobby Bones
That was my left hand. Oh, my God.
Scuba Steve
Your left was stronger than your right.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, my right, though, when I was doing my right, it slipped, and I think I lost it.
Scuba Steve
I thought you had to, like, hold it long.
Bobby Bones
I realized it's the initial ground. Okay. You won, dude. You know why you didn't win more? Guys, I saw my score. I'm not gonna say it. If he got 131, I might play in the girls bracket.
Scuba Steve
Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
I might switch over with you.
Eddie
I don't know what the number's been.
Bobby Bones
Huh? I don't feel so good. Me either, man.
Eddie
I'm a little sad right now.
Bobby Bones
I'm going over. Okay. Screw with Steve is the strongest at number two.
Kyler Ennis
Number two. You got Raymundo at 129.
Scuba Steve
Wow.
Eddie
So far, Bobby's preseason rankings are dead on.
Kyler Ennis
Nailed it.
Bobby Bones
Ray Mundo at 2. Strong. Ray, what was their difference?
Kyler Ennis
2.4 pounds.
Bobby Bones
That's not a lot, right? It's pretty close.
Kyler Ennis
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Look at you guys. All right, guys. Did you guys all look at your number?
Eddie
No.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you didn't even see your number, did you? I.
Eddie
No idea.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, I didn't look at it.
Bobby Bones
I might as well play with no hand. I did it with my foot.
Scuba Steve
Oh, so you know your number?
Bobby Bones
Well, yeah, because I kept going two, so I looked at it after to make sure it didn't say two again. Okay, number. Just give us the grip of the third person.
Kyler Ennis
114.2.
Eddie
What were they?
Bobby Bones
That's gotta be mine.
Amy
129 was raised. 131. Wow.
Eddie
We're way down there. That's a big drop.
Bobby Bones
And number three is.
Kyler Ennis
Is Eddie.
Scuba Steve
Hey, let's go. See what I'm talking about.
Bobby Bones
Low T beat with low T. Yeah. Imagine if you got your tee up.
Scuba Steve
Dude, I would dominate.
Bobby Bones
Wow. Okay. I was wrong on that one. I thought you'd be. Yes. Okay, the next score.
Kyler Ennis
All right, number four. We got you at 94.8.
Bobby Bones
Oh, my God.
Amy
Oh, my gosh. What was the last?
Bobby Bones
I finished fourth. That's awesome for me. I got little princess hands.
Scuba Steve
Oh, my gosh. There's two people.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox, Lunchbox and Mike D. Oh, no.
Eddie
This ain't looking good for me.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
At least I got high tea so far.
Scuba Steve
Doesn't matter.
Bobby Bones
Scuba at one, Ray at two, Eddie at three, me at four. Thank God I'm not last. And then we have Mike and Lunchbox. How you feel, Mike? I think I feel good about beating Lunch. Yeah?
Scuba Steve
Yeah. I think you got this.
Eddie
I mean, the last time I've been to the gym, Seventh grade, so. I don't know, man. I'm not feeling too good about this. It's been a long time since I've used my hands for work.
Bobby Bones
All right, and who came in fifth?
Eddie
Wait, you want to go last now? Because you just want to announce last
Bobby Bones
who came in first. Just give me fifth.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah, you got Mike D at fifth.
Bobby Bones
So last place.
Scuba Steve
You didn't win. I won last. No, you lost.
Bobby Bones
You were the weakest of all. You're a loser.
Eddie
That's.
Kyler Ennis
All right, so Mike. Mike got 86 and lunch got 76.
Eddie
76.
Bobby Bones
Did you even grab? Did you do it with your mouth? Well, how would.
Eddie
Oh, no, not really.
Bobby Bones
Wow.
Eddie
I did just with my pinky.
Amy
So what does that mean?
Kyler Ennis
So from.
Bobby Bones
Is that the lowest you've ever seen from a man?
Kyler Ennis
No comment.
Bobby Bones
Seriously, it's 76. Pretty. That's pretty bad for a man.
Kyler Ennis
It's pretty. Pretty low. I don't feel like he put, like, his whole.
Bobby Bones
Oh, he did.
Scuba Steve
You want to do it again?
Bobby Bones
He. He competes as hard as anybody does.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Kyler Ennis
The behind the back one wasn't, though. That was.
Bobby Bones
No, that was four to four pounds.
Amy
What is this indicator?
Eddie
Like, hey, behind the back was bad idea.
Amy
Like, wheat grip strength.
Kyler Ennis
It's, like, indicative of heart health.
Scuba Steve
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
Oh, my gosh.
Eddie
I don't know if I believe that. No, I don't know if I believe that.
Amy
I think I've seen that on TikTok Instagram. If you can, like, grip weights and walk with, like, your body weight and
Kyler Ennis
stuff, it's supposed to be, like, a good tell of, like, your overall health. Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Scooby, Steve. Most masculine lunchbox. Least masculine. Wow. You want to do the lady? You guys want to do it?
Amy
Sure.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
Maybe that was Daniel.
Scuba Steve
Hey. Preseason odds.
Amy
That was up there.
Bobby Bones
The. I think Morgan is at 1, Amy. Amy's at 2, and Abby 3.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I think Abby might struggle picking it up.
Amy
I feel like Abby's pretty strong just lifting it off.
Scuba Steve
She's gonna freak out and not squeeze it.
Bobby Bones
Oh, my gosh. She gets so nervous about it. It slips out of her hands. Yeah, I'm shaking, Morgan.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. All right. Walking up now is Morgan.
Morgan
I just hope I beat lunchboxes.
Bobby Bones
Dude, if she beats lunchbox, 100%, you will.
Amy
I think she's.
Bobby Bones
How do you feel, Morgan? Good.
Morgan
I feel really good. I mean, I was lifting weights the last few days, so, like, we're there.
Amy
Okay.
Morgan
So I'm just gripping with four. The four like that.
Kyler Ennis
Yep.
Morgan
And I'm just squeezing.
Kyler Ennis
Try and break it. Yep.
Morgan
Try and break it.
Bobby Bones
Here we go. 1.
Morgan
Like, scream. Like scuba did.
Bobby Bones
Scuba. Scuba scare me.
Scuba Steve
Stay on the stage, Morgan.
Morgan
I feel like I'm gonna fall off.
Bobby Bones
Ready? 1, 2, 3, go. I look pretty strong.
Amy
Oh, dang.
Bobby Bones
Don't look at the number, because now you know our numbers. You can do your other hand, though. You can do your other hand.
Eddie
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
That scream was crazy.
Eddie
I mean, throw that ring over here. Sell it.
Bobby Bones
All right, here we go. Yeah, I hurt my back a little bit. I'm gonna be honest.
Amy
I know I probably have to go to the back.
Bobby Bones
My back definitely hurts. All right, Morgan, here we go. And go.
Geico Gecko
Okay.
Scuba Steve
Oh, not so much of a scream.
Eddie
Yeah, that was a little bit of a whimper.
Bobby Bones
All right, Amy's walking up now to
Eddie
take the grip challenge with no shoes.
Bobby Bones
Here we go. Going right hand. Okay. All right, here we go. And go.
Scuba Steve
Pretty good, though. Amy.
Bobby Bones
Oh, she's squeezing. Yeah, no, you're good.
Amy
Okay.
Eddie
Did it go?
Bobby Bones
Okay, do your other hand now.
Scuba Steve
Her face is so red.
Amy
I can barely open a jar.
Bobby Bones
She said she can barely open a jar. And go. Oh, that looks strong.
Eddie
I thought your left hand looked pretty good.
Bobby Bones
That looks strong. That looks strong. All right, Abby. Abby's walking in to take the crib test here.
Morgan
You guys feeling any pain?
Scuba Steve
Yeah, yeah, for sure. My arm hurts.
Nikki
Yeah.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
We don't do a show tomorrow because we're all in the hospital. Abby, ready?
Scuba Steve
Abby, don't get nervous.
Bobby Bones
And go. Oh, my God. Oh, gosh.
Eddie
Oh. Oh. Oh, her God.
Bobby Bones
Do you want to do another one or are you good? Okay. Okay, you're good then.
Scuba Steve
Wow.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I think you're right.
Scuba Steve
Preseason odds are right.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think. I think Amy's gonna be better than probably she thought, though, because I thought you looked pretty good doing it. Okay, so who was the strongest?
Kyler Ennis
You got Morgan at 67.4.
Amy
Good job, Morgan.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox for class.
Scuba Steve
Wow.
Morgan
I was right by him.
Kyler Ennis
76.
Eddie
Dang.
Scuba Steve
So close.
Bobby Bones
And second.
Kyler Ennis
Second, you have Abby.
Bobby Bones
Oh, my.
Kyler Ennis
At £52. And then Amy got 45 points.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no, Amy, your heart's about to explode.
Amy
I don't think. I can't believe that.
Scuba Steve
Amy, we're gonna lose you.
Amy
Oh, no, guys, I gotta go to the doctor.
Scuba Steve
Take lunchbox with you.
Amy
Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
Oh, wow.
Scuba Steve
Dang.
Amy
I didn't see scream, though.
Eddie
Yeah, that was the problem.
Amy
They both screamed. Should I scream?
Bobby Bones
I mean, you probably could have. Yeah. Has anyone ever pooped their pants doing it? Cuz I feel like that's the same muscle that I was using. Like a push.
Amy
Yeah. Let me scream.
Bobby Bones
All right, this is exhibition. Hold it above your head. Okay, now.
Amy
No, no, no.
Bobby Bones
And go.
Geico Gecko
Well, she's using two hands.
Scuba Steve
Cheater.
Bobby Bones
That's pretty slick, though. That's pretty slick. She tried two hands. No, that's pretty good.
Amy
It was natural. I didn't mean to. It just feels better, like. Okay. Okay. Is that higher?
Kyler Ennis
No, it's 38.
Bobby Bones
38.
Eddie
It went down.
Scuba Steve
No, it's not.
Amy
Oh, my gosh. What's wrong with me? Guys,
Scuba Steve
your heart is not.
Eddie
Your heart is bad.
Bobby Bones
What do you squeeze
Kyler Ennis
higher than all those?
Bobby Bones
Will you squeeze one for us? There he is. Get it out. And.
Scuba Steve
Oh, dude, look at his arm.
Amy
Oh, my God.
Kyler Ennis
193.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Without even really doing.
Amy
Yeah, and he just, like, blinked.
Bobby Bones
Dang. Wow, that's pretty cool. So scuba 132. Ray 129. Eddie 114me 94. Mike D. 86. Lunchbox 76. That is not really Eddie. I apologize.
Scuba Steve
Thank you, man.
Bobby Bones
I thought you had finished next to last.
Scuba Steve
I did. I'm strong even with low T, baby.
Kyler Ennis
That's a wide range of numbers there.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Scuba's pretty strong, right? 132. Him and Red. Those are pretty strong numbers generally.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
What's strong in your mind? What number is generally just strong?
Amy
38.
Kyler Ennis
I mean, yeah, 38. I bet at this point, I've probably tested, like, over a thousand people, and I'd say, like, anything over, like, 160 is, like, elite.
Scuba Steve
Oh, dang.
Kyler Ennis
And then. But average, like, on the job side especially, is usually around, like, 125, 130.
Bobby Bones
That's average on the job site. Mm.
Scuba Steve
Guys that work with their hands all time.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I feel. Yeah.
Scuba Steve
Kyler, where's the line between, like, women and men?
Kyler Ennis
Like, the strongest woman. Yeah, the strongest I've tested is 118.
Bobby Bones
Wow. Nice.
Kyler Ennis
And then my wife is in second place at 112.
Bobby Bones
But you guys, like, practice. I mean, I would work out doing it.
Kyler Ennis
No, I. I actually have, like, pretty bad tennis elbow. I'm wondering if it's from always doing that, but, like, anytime I do, like, train back day or anything, I don't use straps, anything like that. It's just. I don't know. And working with your hands a lot,
Bobby Bones
generally, if a guy like myself gets up to do that and he's wearing pink, how does that turn out?
Kyler Ennis
About like it did.
Bobby Bones
Okay, good, good, good. You know, wearing a little pink here. What are you guys doing while you're in Nashville?
Kyler Ennis
Well, our anniversary's tomorrow, and so we're gonna figure out something to do and then just go listen to some music. Nothing. We don't have kids for the first time in two years. I was telling Scuba before this, my son, he'll be two next month. And we haven't had, like, just us vacation since he's been born. So we're just trying to figure out what to do to fill all of our free time.
Bobby Bones
Did you guys drive down?
Kyler Ennis
We did, yeah.
Bobby Bones
How long was the drive?
Kyler Ennis
About seven hours.
Bobby Bones
That's not terrible. That's right when it starts to get annoying. Like, six and a half to seven is when it starts to go.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah, it wasn't too bad.
Bobby Bones
And you're here until when?
Kyler Ennis
Friday.
Bobby Bones
Oh, cool. Oh, man, this is awesome.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Did you guys have fun?
Scuba Steve
Yeah, I feel great.
Bobby Bones
So first, we appreciate all the work that you do giving us all our stats because we live by those. And sometimes when the bit's over and we get off the air, we're like, great. Kyler has to record that one. Really crapped a bet on that one. So that was a really fun reason to get to know you.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But the fact that we were talking to you one day and you said, yeah, yeah, I'm on social media. And then we go and look and you've gone viral so many times for that. That's crazy that you never shared that with us because I guess that's not what it was about, guys. It wasn't about Kyler.
Kyler Ennis
It wasn't you guys.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Well, I really appreciate you coming in. I hope this was fun for you. Oh, yeah, it's super fun.
Kyler Ennis
Thrilled to be here. Yeah. This is awesome.
Bobby Bones
And are you going to. You have the freedom to post whatever you want, obviously.
Scuba Steve
Oh, are we going to go viral?
Bobby Bones
I don't. Mine was so mid. There's no chance it goes viral.
Kyler Ennis
That might be what makes it go.
Bobby Bones
It's either the low or the high, though, right? The low ever go. It's low ever go viral?
Kyler Ennis
Honestly, like, numbers really don't make it or break it. Oh. It's like screaming and like, it was. It was entertaining. I think it'll do well just on entertainment factor alone.
Bobby Bones
Have you made any money on social media?
Kyler Ennis
Yeah. So I don't know how in the weeds you want to get.
Bobby Bones
I love weeds.
Kyler Ennis
So TikTok got bought out by Oracle.
Bobby Bones
Mm.
Kyler Ennis
And whenever they did that, it drastically changed. Like the payout, which was primarily like Views is what paid. And there for a while Instagram paid. It doesn't anymore.
Bobby Bones
You know that no videos. It sucks. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Kyler Ennis
And so there for a while it was decent just from TikTok views. And then in the last. Since it got bought out, like, I'm. It's dead to me just about. Like TikTok is the money.
Bobby Bones
Or do you feel like they're suppressing the views?
Kyler Ennis
Suppressing the views.
Bobby Bones
Same thing. Since it's switched over to. I have things that have normally really performed. Performed well that I had. I, like, talked to my team and I was like, hey, there's some sort of suppression happening here. Like, what are we doing that now the algorithm has changed and we have to kind of figure because you're always trying to predict the algorithm, which you can't do. But it's. Well, that sucks. I'm sorry that's happened to you.
Kyler Ennis
But it's. There's, you know, brand deals and different stuff.
Bobby Bones
Like you get brand deals.
Kyler Ennis
Oh, Absolutely. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
For hand.
Kyler Ennis
No, it's mainly for my, like, construction stuff. Like, DIY stuff. Remodeling.
Bobby Bones
What if it turns out he's, like, a famous foot model? He's like. No, it's mostly. So you. Your DIY stuff goes viral, too.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah, that's how. That's what started it. And then I just stumbled across the dynamometer. I was like, oh, this will be fun. And then that's like. I still do those here and there, but now I build. Mainly I've got, like, from, like, Branson to Springfield. I don't know. It's not that big of an area, but that's pretty much the only area that we build in. We have a lot of the same subcontractors, so a lot of those guys in the last five years have already tested.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. You're running out. You're running out of material. Yeah.
Kyler Ennis
Like, occasionally, like, I've done, you know, I'll find, like, firefighters or something like that. But the construction stuff is, like, my kind of bread and butter content right now.
Bobby Bones
Well, dude, I'm glad you came in. Seriously.
Kyler Ennis
Yeah. Thank you.
Bobby Bones
This is fun. You have provided a. A lot of fun for us, too, every year when we talk to you. And if you come back to Nashville, bring it back in, because I'm a train, like a mofo. That would be pretty cool.
Kyler Ennis
Come back in a year.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I have one hand that's hu and one that's small. You guys follow Kyler Yylerenis, and we really appreciate you and your wife. Happy anniversary.
Kyler Ennis
Oh, thank you.
Bobby Bones
Hope you guys have a great couple days.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Amy
How many years are you celebrating?
Kyler Ennis
It'll be nine years.
Amy
Oh, that's cool.
Scuba Steve
Well, congrats.
Bobby Bones
What's nine years? Like, cloth.
Scuba Steve
Cloth.
Kyler Ennis
I don't know.
Scuba Steve
Dynamometer.
Bobby Bones
All right, there he is. Kyla Ennis, everybody.
Kyler Ennis
Thank you, guys.
Scuba Steve
Bones.
Bobby Bones
This woman went in for a surgery on her eyelids, and I guess the doctor messed it up, and so she was unable to close her eyes ever again, even while fully sleeping. This happened about six years ago. And so pain, damaged tear ducts, permanent eyelid problems. They gave her $125,000, but that ain't enough.
Amy
That's it.
Scuba Steve
No way.
Bobby Bones
That ain't enough. As part of the agreement, she promised not to publicly discuss the case. She just can't fully close her eyes all the way.
Scuba Steve
Oh.
Bobby Bones
Do you think a surgeon knows? Well, screwed that one up. I wonder if it's. If I really did. Like, that one didn't go quite right. Cross my fingers. I hope I Never.
Amy
I don't know. That's just. She needs more money than that. And I wonder if at night now, I mean, if you put an eye mask on, does that help you?
Bobby Bones
I think it would cover. Yeah. Yeah.
Amy
I mean, but still then your eyes are open in there. Just that feeling of your eye being open would be hard to, like, relax,
Bobby Bones
so it wouldn't close all the way. There's. There's just like a little hole.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
At the bottom.
Scuba Steve
I feel like tears would probably always be rolling because it dries it out. Right.
Bobby Bones
Man, that stinks for her. That's from Oddity Central. The girl that eats ladybugs, Softball player from Texas. So if you missed this, hit that
Nikki
incredible story on Hannah Wells, she has a superstition dating back to childhood that if she sees a ladybug, she eats it for good luck. Swallows it whole. And so I was told that at the Science UC tournament in Kentucky, she had a nice home run. And she had ingested a ladybug before that. So this is a superstition. This on two different sources.
Bobby Bones
In that Texas dugout last night was watching the first game of championship series for the College World Series. She hits a home run.
Scuba Steve
No way.
Bobby Bones
All I thought was, that girl eats ladybugs. That's all I thought when she hit it. That's ladybug eater.
Amy
She ate one.
Bobby Bones
She's an awesome player. Like, I'm talking about a as good as you get. Yeah. That's all I thought when she was running the bases. Like, wonder if she got her a little ladybug in there. That's bizarre. We eat weird stuff all the time. But also, it's in my head. I'm going, oh, that poor bug. But if I see, like a big bug in the house, that's gross. I stomp that thing immediately.
Amy
Yeah. But never think about it. Never a ladybug. They're special. Like, I don't.
Bobby Bones
They just look pretty.
Amy
Exactly. Most bugs freak me out, but if I see a ladybug, I let it be. I'm like, oh, you're so cute. You can hang out in my bedroom.
Bobby Bones
Like, well, she had a home run. I was just thinking, that's ladybug eater right there. She ran around so that. So Texas beat Texas Tech in game one, and then the Knicks beat Spurs. Last night I thought about you, Eddie.
Scuba Steve
That was not fun. Like, that's. That. That. That one hurt. And it's. Man, it's bleeding into this morning, too. Because I woke up this morning in a bad mood. I'm like, why am I In a bad mood. Right. The spurs lost at home, too. Like, it just shouldn't have been a lot.
Amy
You think after y' all sleep, you get over it?
Scuba Steve
No.
Amy
Okay. No.
Scuba Steve
It's almost like if you get into a fight with your spouse before you go to bed and you don't resolve it. Same kind of feeling.
Bobby Bones
But now. But there's still many more games.
Scuba Steve
I understand, but they were at home. I feel like they needed to win this one to kind of have success.
Bobby Bones
This woman went into a casino and she hit big. And then she was like, I'm out. I'm banning myself. She escorted herself out and banned herself from the casino after she hit big. So 69. Yeah. A 69 year old woman from New Jersey was escorted out of a Pennsylvania casino after hitting a slot machine. And so the woman had voluntarily banned herself from all Pennsylvania casinos in 2019. I think maybe she was like, had some issues before and then banned herself and then went in and won. And it was like, oh, I'm banned.
Scuba Steve
For real? For real?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I think that's what happened.
Amy
Okay, so she broke her band, but it's good that she broke it because she ended up winning.
Bobby Bones
We have. So the reason this story, I could be a little wrong about that story, but Reid, who works for me and has done a lot of digital, has been on all my shows. He was on DraftKings, and I was like, reed, it's fun, but just do it. It's just entertainment, right? Like, don't bet too much. Do it for fun. And he starts betting on DraftKings, and he just wins and he wins and he wins and he wins. And he calls them and says, please, I need to ban myself. I've won too much. And they banned him.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, they locked him out of the app.
Bobby Bones
He called the 1, 800 number and said, I've won way too much. Please lock me out of the app.
Amy
Okay, but if it be like, if he's lost way too much, you would
Bobby Bones
think he'd be literally right. And they have helplines. You call. He called the help line to say, I've won way too much. Please shut me down. Quite responsible of him.
Amy
So responsible, he knew the day maybe it was coming that he'd lose it all.
Bobby Bones
He was just winning at a rate we had never seen, making stupid bets.
Amy
Does he eat ladybugs?
Scuba Steve
Possibly.
Bobby Bones
No. But he called that number that some people need to call if they need help, and he felt like, oh, I've won way too much. I'm gonna go ahead and stop here. He didn't even want to have an opportunity to go back.
Amy
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
This woman had voluntarily banned herself from all Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania casinos in 2019, but was discovered after winning a jackpot at the Hollywood casino at Penn National State Police removed her from the property and issued a trespassing citation. She had previously placed herself on the state's lifetime self exclusion list for problem gamblers. Oh, but she even put herself on the list.
Scuba Steve
Yes, she did. Herself.
Amy
Right. So. But if you voluntarily put yourself on there, then they have a duty to remove you.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, I guess so.
Bobby Bones
I wonder if she gets the money, though.
Scuba Steve
I mean, she placed the bet.
Amy
She gets the money. Well, that if she's banned, though.
Scuba Steve
But she placed herself on the ban.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but if you're banned, you're banned. That's a crazy story. Yeah, The Reid story's unlike anything I've ever seen before.
Amy
And she's definitely gone back way more than that.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you think that's just the time
Scuba Steve
she got caught and she didn't win?
Amy
Yes, that's a good point.
Bobby Bones

And now for a bit of breaking news. Between your breaking news with me, the Geico Gecko, here are some things you ought to know today. People who switch their car insurance to geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz. My ficus just heard that. And finally, animal experts have confirmed that goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish there.
Scuba Steve
It feels good to get good news.
Bobby Bones
It feels good to Geico. Let's talk to Nikki in Ohio. Hello, Nikki.
Nikki
Hi. Good morning, studio.
Bobby Bones
Morning.
Nikki
Hey, I was calling in to get some ideas. My daughter and I are on a road trip from Ohio to Hilton Head. Long drive. We need some ideas for entertainment and stay awake and alert and all the things.
Bobby Bones
So like in car road trip games.
Nikki
Yeah. Sir?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I don't know many. I know that game where you look
Scuba Steve
for letters on the road.
Amy
Like the Alphabet game.
Scuba Steve
That's a good one.
Bobby Bones
That's it. It's the only one.
Amy
The license plate game or I Spy.
Eddie
I Spy is tough because you go, I never moved so fast.
Amy
I thought about that.
Bobby Bones
And there's only so much to spy in the car.
Scuba Steve
And it's always like the clouds in the sky.
Amy
You know, a game that I love to play with my kids is. It is an Alphabet game, but it's not about anything that you're seeing, but you go through the entire Alphabet of what you're getting from the grocery store and you have to remember everything that you've all said till you get to from A to Z.
Bobby Bones
That's a great game. We do it Alpha. We. Caitlyn and I will do this too. And we don't go on crazy long road trips like this. This one's over 12 hours. It looks like I just looked the one they're doing.
Scuba Steve
That's a long one.
Bobby Bones
But we'll do. We should do it on a post show at some point.
Scuba Steve
The Alphabet game.
Amy
What?
Bobby Bones
No, the game. It's a version of the game you're talking about. But we'll do just the Alphabet where I'm like, yesterday went to find something cool. I got me an apple. Yesterday I went to find something cool, got me an apple, and I got me a box. And then she's got to say it back, so.
Scuba Steve
But the story continues.
Amy
Yes.
Bobby Bones
And it's all alphabetical, but you have to remember, you have to say everything back until you fail.
Amy
That's the same exact game I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's good to play with kids. Well. And for adults, it's a really good brain game. It's a brain exercise. So it's a game, but you're also working your brain muscles, I promise you.
Bobby Bones
Listen, we get to the point now where we've done so many segments, we don't remember what we've done. Sometimes I think we used to do that game on the podcast.
Amy
They did?
Bobby Bones
I think so for a bit. Yeah, we did, yeah.
Amy
Oh, gosh.
Bobby Bones
We need to do more brain games
Scuba Steve
because we don't remember that.
Bobby Bones
But that's a fun one where it's like, okay, yesterday I saw something cool. It wasn't aardvark. Then she goes, yesterday I saw some cool. It was an aardvark. Yesterday I saw something cool as an aardvark, and it was a bingo card.
Scuba Steve
Oh, it's so hard.
Bobby Bones
You see how many you can do.
Amy
Yeah. And then yesterday I saw something cool as aardvark, a bingo card and a cat.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Yesterday I saw an aardvark, a bingo card, a cat and a ding dong. Oh, my God. No, the food.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Oh, right, right, right.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a good. I think we're gonna go with that one.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Do you have any, Any others? Anybody?
Scuba Steve
I mean, what we like to do is pass the phone around and pick a song. Like, so, like, I'll start. Dad will start. He'll be like, whoop, there it is. And then my wife will be next and she'll pick one of her songs. It's kind of cool because once we get to the seven year old we're like, what's he gonna pick?
Amy
Oh, it's just them too. So they're gonna go back and forth.
Scuba Steve
Well, yeah, but still fun, though.
Bobby Bones
A game that my wife and I will do that triggered this memory is if I said something like, I'll pick a song. Ice, ice, baby doon doom, doom, doo doo doo doo Ice, ice, baby. You know, I have to sing a song that has the word ice or baby in it off of my ice, ice, baby. So you can be like, baby, baby. I said emotion. And then the next person has to
Scuba Steve
go, like, as cold as ice.
Bobby Bones
No, you've already done ice.
Amy
No. To love you with the sweetest of devotion.
Bobby Bones
So you have to use a song from the last song that you got it. So you could be like, love you. Be like, l is for the way you look at me. And the other could be like. Then it goes to like, look.
Scuba Steve
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Does that make sense?
Amy
Yeah. This is, like. This reminded me of Cooper Allen. He does the song mashups. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because he did it on the cruise. And I saw at first, whenever I would see his videos go viral online, I'm like, whatever. He premeditated this whole thing. Like, I was just. I think everybody's setting everything up. And then I saw him do it live on the boat. He had people in the audience, and they're like, just throw out songs. And he would. I mean, I guess it's not the exact game of where you're marrying up the name, but it's giving that vibe.
Bobby Bones
You know what? We'll just go with. Yeah, you saw that.
Amy
Yeah. Well, he's marrying up the beat. And the word. Sometimes the word.
Scuba Steve
There's a way. There's a way.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. O's got you.
Amy
Who?
Bobby Bones
O's? Who's O's the guy that predicts all that, does all the. Matt. All the stuff where you're like, how did he do that? Oh, so what you really do in that situation is yell a song. 84 people yell a song. Who knows if they even said the song he played next? Now, they may yell a song that he knows anyway, but you can't tell every. Every song that was said.
Amy
He would. He would do what the people said. Like, he. He would. So, okay, it wasn't yelling out in the moment, but he would have started singing, and people start yelling it out, and he just types the song, like, into his notes app on his phone, and he just has the songs there, and somehow he'll work his way.
Bobby Bones
He's got the songs in already. Okay, that makes.
Amy
But it is still in the moment. It's pretty spontaneous. It's not like he knew even five minutes before.
Bobby Bones
Yes, but I guess skilled artist. But we used to do that crap.
Scuba Steve
We'll play any song you want, anyone,
Bobby Bones
and then everybody be yelling all kinds of stuff. Oh, you want friends in low places. Okay. Nobody, not a single person yelled friends in low places. But you can't tell what everybody's yelling. Right? Okay.
Amy
Still.
Bobby Bones
But he is a little trick.
Amy
He is talented in that.
Bobby Bones
Okay, Nikki, we gave you some options. Did you fall asleep from listening to that?
Nikki
No, listen, you guys kept me awake for at least 30 minutes, so that's helpful. You know, of the 12 hour drive. It's great.
Bobby Bones
What are you guys doing in Hilton Head? Just vacation beach, that kind of stuff.
Nikki
We are, but the purpose is my daughter just graduated from Alabama roll ties and her college roommate is getting married on Sunday. So that's what we're traveling for.
Bobby Bones
I pictured your daughter. I pictured your daughter being six. Why not college aged.
Scuba Steve
Oh, right, right.
Eddie
We were coming up with some games.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I pictured like a child in the car and she's like, hey, let's get some new games. Child, Daughter.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Not voting age daughter.
Scuba Steve
Right.
Amy
You know, job, daughter.
Scuba Steve
You know, my kids are loving. My kids are loving. Going back and watching our YouTube from our show and watching us do stupid stuff like way back in the day, try the hot chip. And watching Amy almost die with a hot shot. Dude, they love that video.
Bobby Bones
Hey, I did a YouTube kind of in the weeds. YouTube. It's up like on my Bobby Bones channel. YouTube. I talked about that for four minutes because someone had asked what's. Was there ever a time on the show where you had to like basically abort mission type thing? And I said, well, there have been a couple big incidents, but the first thing that comes to mind is Amy drinking that hot shot. And look, I feel like I'm in control. 99.9% of this show for the past 20 years. I got control. I didn't have control. Amy starts screaming, I'm dying or something.
Amy
I said, no, somebody help me.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's what it was.
Scuba Steve
I just watched it.
Amy
Help me, help me.
Bobby Bones
It was Brandon Ray pulls it up.
Amy
I feel it in my body right
Bobby Bones
now because he was producing that and he had never even heard of that segment. He pulls it up and is like, oh my God. And starts watching that YouTube of Amy going, please help me.
Amy
Somebody help me. I just don't think any of us properly anticipated the potential pain that that type of heat was going to cause my body. There was no way to know. Like, I think we were just like, okay, yeah, this is gonna be a hot shot. Okay, but no, no, because it wasn't just that. My body was rejecting everything that had just go. But when it was coming out of my mouth and my nose the other way now, my face felt like it was getting a chemical peel. So my. My skin was burning, I was shaking, I was sweating, but I was cold.
Bobby Bones
It was scary for me.
Amy
Yeah, me too. I thought I was on hands and knees in your office thinking, I'm going to need to go to the doctor.
Scuba Steve
And then do you remember touching the bottle or whatever it came in? And then you had it in your eyes?
Bobby Bones
So Brandon said that too. He said. He said, your eyes are burning. I said, I don't rem. Because I was so concerned about Amy dying. Nothing else hurt.
Scuba Steve
It was like a war zone, dude. Amy was out. Your eyes were like, I can't see anything.
Amy
I don't think I thought I was going to die, but I did not like what was happening to me. It was all so unfamiliar and felt like there was no way I could make it stop. There was nothing I could do to make the pain stop.
Bobby Bones
Well, I also mentioned when I was talking about that that you were a trooper because you didn't do the shot like this. You did the shot like this.
Kyler Ennis
Whoa.
Scuba Steve
You took it.
Bobby Bones
It was like one of those hot chip challenge. It was a hot shot challenge, and I don't know why she did it. Wheel game.
Scuba Steve
Wheel.
Bobby Bones
Wheel.
Amy
Yeah, the wheel.
Bobby Bones
We have. We have a clip. You want to play it, Ray? Oh, gosh, she took the shot. Oh, she's gonna puke. Oh. Oh, she's puking. Give her some water or something. Lunchbox helper.
Scuba Steve
Lunchbox helper.
Bobby Bones
Give her some water. Give her some water. Give her some water. Come on, we gotta have water ready for this.
Eddie
Here's my knees.
Bobby Bones
Water, milk. She's shaking, dude.
Eddie
She is shaking.
Scuba Steve
Yes.
Eddie
I love Eddie going lunchbox. Do something.
Bobby Bones
You're the only one next to her.
Eddie
But I literally had nothing to do with her. That's what I mean.
Amy
Like, we weren't. I don't think any of it. We just didn't properly anticipate. Like, no. If had I been thinking, I should have been like, okay, yeah, I need some milk on standby. Like, what do you need when you have something hot? And. And that's just how I think. I was just so shocked of, like, what is happening. Whatever I felt that day, I never felt before. In my life. And I haven't felt since. Thank goodness.
Bobby Bones
Bad day, bad day, bad day.
Scuba Steve
And another thing, too, is she goes away after this.
Amy
Yeah, that's where I went to his
Scuba Steve
office for like five minutes. So you don't know if she's dead or alive.
Bobby Bones
And I got a show to do. We got to get back on the air.
Amy
Somebody was with me, like Abby or.
Scuba Steve
But there were no updates.
Bobby Bones
I was with you. I was. Nobody was coming in to go, Amy's alive. We were doing the show Memoriam of Amy for a while.
Scuba Steve
So sad.
Bobby Bones
We had a picture up on the screen behind me.
Amy
Yeah, that was interesting.
Scuba Steve
But anyway, you can watch all those videos too, dude. It's so entertaining.
Bobby Bones
Nikki, that really wasn't what you called
Amy
about, but, yeah, you can't really watch videos while you drive.
Bobby Bones
Her daughter can.
Amy
Oh, true, true.
Bobby Bones
Nikki, thank you for calling. I hope your trip goes good. That's a 12 hour, right?
Nikki
It is, yeah.
Bobby Bones
One day.
Amy
Or.
Bobby Bones
Are you stopping?
Nikki
Nope, we're going all the way through.
Scuba Steve
All right, let it rip. Let it rip.
Bobby Bones
All right, thank you for listening. Thank you for calling. All right, bye.
Nikki
Have a great day. Bye.
Bobby Bones
Round the room, Amy.
Amy
Oh, my gosh. I'm gonna show y' all a picture. This guy looks like a normal doctor, right?
Bobby Bones
Okay, I have bad vision. And you're 20ft away.
Scuba Steve
And I'm assuming he's not gonna be a normal doctor.
Eddie
Yeah, I'm assuming he's not.
Amy
But, like, if he were to ask me on a date, I'd probably go,
Bobby Bones
okay, who does he look like? You're so far away from me.
Amy
Who does he look like?
Scuba Steve
Let me see.
Amy
Who does he look like? He's got a full head of hair.
Eddie
Seth Green.
Bobby Bones
Who's Wolverine?
Scuba Steve
Who's Wolverine?
Bobby Bones
Hugh Jackman.
Scuba Steve
Hugh Jackman.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Dr. Hugh Jackman. Go ahead. Oh, I see him. Yeah. Good looking dude.
Amy
How does MacD find him? How do you know who? I was holding up facial recognition.
Scuba Steve
You don't ask questions to the magician.
Amy
What just happened? Cause he doesn't even know the story. I'm gonna say. I just said, don't ask.
Bobby Bones
Ozone does tricks.
Amy
I just said Dr. I would go on a date with. And Mike D. Found him.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Nikki
How?
Bobby Bones
What's the story?
Eddie
Goodness.
Amy
A former Detroit doctor has pleaded guilty in a federal child exploitation case after investigators uncovered disturbing messages and evidence during an FB investigation.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no. He had kid pictures.
Amy
This guy is a. He should be castrated or something.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that sucks.
Amy
He wrote the most disturbing. I'm not even going to Repeat things he wrote, stuff he was involved in. But what blows my mind about this is that he looks so normal and clearly acted. Normal enough to have a job as a doctor.
Bobby Bones
Well, he is highly educated, yes. Has obviously a tremendous work ethic to finish his education, but still has whatever discussion.
Amy
He's a medical professional and who knows who all he was working with. And when I saw the story come across, I just. That's my first thought was like, what? He looks so.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you said hot. We get it. You didn't get it.
Amy
Normal.
Bobby Bones
Now you.
Amy
And like. Well, he has a little white coat on and a tie. Like, he's like. It's like a vibe, like. And I just. The thing. I mean, very disturbed individual. And I'm glad that he's been arrested.
Bobby Bones
32 years old, had disturbing photos of minors on his phone, including AI generated photos of children doing stuff. He also tried to convince another man to allow him to bathe his children, according to a press release from the Department of Justice. Yeah. Yep. That's bad.
Scuba Steve
What kind of doctor was he?
Bobby Bones
I don't even want to stay on this story. The whole thing's gross. I don't even want to be honest.
Amy
Well, that's why I wasn't going to read those parts.
Bobby Bones
No, I'm just saying, I know the
Amy
whole thing is uncomfortable, but it's also Just be aware because very. Like, you think like a check. If you're to have a checklist of who you let near your children.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Amy
This guy might be one of them.
Bobby Bones
Say, what kind of doctor is he? Yeah, that's a good question. He was.
Scuba Steve
Thank you.
Amy
He was. It said he was a medical resident at Detroit Medical Center's Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan.
Scuba Steve
So not like a children's hospital.
Bobby Bones
Well, if you're. I don't. I don't have a great deal of knowledge on this, but if you're a resident, are you. Are you doing all the different jobs or are you there? Maybe that's like an intern. That's a doctor. Because, like, Reed's wife is a doctor now, but she.
Amy
Where'd she do her residency? That's all I know. The resident part is like, oh, well, where'd you do your residency?
Bobby Bones
Well, that's what she's doing. I believe, in St. Louis. That's why they had to move there. But she is in every department, like, every month or so she changes until
Amy
she finds what she's gonna.
Bobby Bones
No, she has to do them all.
Amy
And then she decides.
Bobby Bones
Mike, would you give me that information on what a medical resident is? A licensed physician who has graduated from medical school and is undergoing multi year hands on specialty training. They work directly with patients. So it's basically what Reid's wife does. But he's a dog. Yuck.
Scuba Steve
Does this kind of stuff surprise you all? Because it sounds like Amy's like, oh my gosh.
Amy
Yeah, I still get. Even though we hear more and more stories about it. Yes, I get surprised every time.
Scuba Steve
Really?
Bobby Bones
I think the fact that he is highly educated, obviously he is a hard worker, he's extremely good looking, he has resources. That. That is odd. And yeah, they would. That kind of. But it's probably not.
Amy
Yeah, I, I'm shocked at all anytime I hear the story, but particularly doctors. Just in my mind, I hold them at a higher standard, morally, ethically.
Bobby Bones
We have to trust them.
Amy
Yeah, yeah. And so it's just.
Scuba Steve
But they're people.
Bobby Bones
Look at all the priests who are molesting kids rampant. We hold them to a higher standard. Yeah, but when people go, man, remember the good old days? No, the good old days were you just didn't know this stuff was happening.
Scuba Steve
Correct. That's what's crazy happening.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's like, man, this back, you just go outside in the 90s and play till the sun. Yeah, that part's true. Like times weren't weird then. You're right, because you didn't know about it. But all this stuff was happening. Probably more so because people aren't able to do it on the Internet.
Scuba Steve
But, you know, I had this conversation with my kids, like recently, a couple days ago, because they were talking about how when they see a police car in our neighborhood or something, they kind of like, it freaks them out because the bad people are near our house, you know, like they're in the area. And I basically had to tell him, like, hey, like, this is weird, but there are bad people everywhere.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's a weird. That's a weird way to approach that conversation.
Scuba Steve
You know what I mean? It's just like, I don't want this
Amy
to freak you out even further.
Bobby Bones
I think possibly if I were, I don't know, introduced to that conversation, I would say something like, oh, no, they are here to make sure the bad people don't do bad things. If there are bad people, that was mentioned too. Okay, good.
Amy
But they could also be there to help, like a situation that isn't a harm to anybody. They're just there to assist, like someone that fell.
Scuba Steve
But I just feel like they see a bad person as like a burglar that's waiting to come into Our house. But, like, there are bad people everywhere. We just don't know who they are. And the police's job is to stop them.
Amy
You know what I was just thinking of kids and bad things that happen. Eddie. And I just realized I woke up to a text from my daughter this morning that said because we were together and we got an Amber Alert and then out like at 10pm I was already asleep. But she texted the Amber alert that went off when we were together for that three year old, he's alive. She was updating me and I thought, oh, that's so sweet that she was following up. Cause she was concerned. But it's even the Amber Alerts, when those come through, like, you know, a bad situation. I think it's good for our kids to be aware. So I don't know that you handled that.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I don't either. I just think it freaks a kid out to think there are bad people in every house. That's what I would think.
Scuba Steve
And I think Maury was just like, everyone's just a person. They just make bad decisions. So, like, because they think the bad person is just a criminal, that always, every day, 24 7, they're out there committing crimes. And so I'm trying to tell them, like, no, it's just a person that is making bad decisions for whatever reason.
Bobby Bones
You should do the family bonding technique of gathering them around the laptop and showing them all the sexual offenders in the neighborhood by the dots on their houses.
Scuba Steve
No way.
Amy
It's good to know where they are.
Bobby Bones
That's crazy. If you see how many people on the sexual registry, won't it flag them?
Amy
Like on Life 3 60, won't it bring those people up?
Scuba Steve
Oh, I don't know. Haven't seen that.
Amy
I feel like we did that once.
Bobby Bones
We didn't.
Amy
No, no, no. Like, my daughter was doing it.
Bobby Bones
Got it.
Amy
Like, with her friends.
Bobby Bones
It's public knowledge.
Amy
It was either Register Life360 or Snapchat, one of the two, where you have a map and you can see where all your friends are. But you can also pull up where sexual offenders are.
Bobby Bones
You can follow your parents, your friends and pedos. That's a weird list of.
Amy
We don't follow them, but it'll highlight them on the.
Scuba Steve
So does it track them too? Like, because, like, you can see your kid driving. I wonder if you can see.
Amy
You can, like, no, you're not tracking them.
Scuba Steve
There's a pedo.
Bobby Bones
All pedos have like a weird dot on them. A skull. They have a skull on top of them.
Scuba Steve
You can find them.
Amy
I did think, like, for my daughter and her friends.
Bobby Bones
I was, like, looking at them. I'm looking at the blue dots everywhere.
Morgan
See?
Amy
Is it. Which. Which app is it?
Bobby Bones
No, I'm on the. The state of Tennessee sex offender registry. Okay, well, maybe there's 189 in the middle of Nashville, the city, like, right
Scuba Steve
now where we are.
Bobby Bones
There's two in this room.
Amy
Okay. But you have to know that, like, they're numbered. But some of that.
Scuba Steve
You narrow it down to the studio. Wait, what? Hold on.
Amy
All right, who wants to confess one?
Bobby Bones
Moving closer to us.
Amy
Some of that is an unfortunate case of, like, maybe a man decided to use the bathroom in the wrong spot.
Bobby Bones
I think that's. That's very, very, very few. That used to be the thing to say. Yeah, that's very, very few.
Amy
Okay.
Scuba Steve
Because, like, yeah, my buddy. Yeah, his. Somebody. I don't remember who it was, but somebody went to go use the bathroom at a golf course, and they did it in front of somebody's backyard. And there were some kids that saw it. Sex offender.
Bobby Bones
I would need to see.
Amy
Now I'm. Now where Bobby's like. I'm like, is that what he told you?
Bobby Bones
I'm gonna. I'm gonna need to see that.
Scuba Steve
He wasn't my friend. My friend.
Bobby Bones
That sounds like a story that's been told through the game of telephone.
Scuba Steve
But the reason he told me that is because we were at a golf course, and I was like, oh, let me use the restroom. He's like, dude, don't. Don't do it anywhere. Make sure there's no kids around. I'm like, what? Never know.
Bobby Bones
Crap. Yeah, no crap.
Scuba Steve
Where did that come from?
Bobby Bones
All right, Amy, thank you.
Amy
Yeah, Catherine.
Bobby Bones
All right, let's go, Eddie.
Scuba Steve
Okay, so there is a woman in Virginia, and a couple years ago, she was at Outback Steakhouse, and she was walking to the restroom, and she saw some mashed potatoes on the floor. Actually didn't see him. Slipped on him. She fell face first. She had to go to the hospital. So now she is suing outback for $1.5 million.
Bobby Bones
How'd the mashed potatoes get down there?
Scuba Steve
I mean, I'm sure it fell off a plate. You know, that a server. Server kind of had and fell on the ground. But she's also saying that the potatoes must have been there for a long time because that should have been cleaned up. Nobody should ever try to walk over mashed potatoes.
Bobby Bones
Well, nobody should try to walk over a wet spot. You obviously may not see. She didn't see the mashed potatoes.
Scuba Steve
She did not.
Bobby Bones
She slipped on it. If you see the mashed potatoes, you step over the mashed potatoes, right? That I can agree with. Like you shouldn't step in mashed potatoes if you see them. But if she didn't see them. I told you. I had a cousin that had a door fall him on a Pizza Hut once, right. Got a bunch of money.
Scuba Steve
Did you say that?
Amy
Yeah, he said that, man.
Bobby Bones
I don't remember. A bunch of money was like $10,000.
Scuba Steve
How did the door fall on him?
Bobby Bones
I think it was broken. We were kids and he pulled the heat and it fell on him.
Scuba Steve
See, that's different. Like a door, you should make sure that's secured. Food falling off a plate. I feel like that happens. I mean, I'm sure the restaurant should, when they see that happen, should clean it up immediately. If there's a water leak, you should put one of those little signs that say slippery when wet. Whatever. But I don't know.
Bobby Bones
You don't know.
Scuba Steve
$1.5 million is a lot of money
Bobby Bones
just to put on the medical bills are right. If you got a few hundred thousand dollars in medical bills, it does seem like a lot of money. But then there's also the, hey, this lawsuit is going to set a precedent for other food slipping lawsuits. It's a lot. I think there's some of the story we don't know. But I do think if you fall and you hurt yourself at a restaurant and it was their negligence, you deserve to be paid. And maybe there's already a standard of precedent set, which is why they're going 1.5 million because somebody else fell on a blooming onion.
Scuba Steve
So when cases happen and then they give, they're awarded a certain amount of money, you try to see like, oh, that happened before. Let's go for that same. Same kind of money.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's happened. That happens in a lot of kids, even in not just civil, but criminal cases too.
Scuba Steve
It's like a template, it's like a
Bobby Bones
precedent or that's precedent. Yeah.
Scuba Steve
I don't know. Saw the story, I thought it was, you know, like, I don't. The fact that she fell flat in her face and had to go to the hospital, I get it.
Bobby Bones
Bad, but no, no. Bad. Especially if one of the people at Outback dropped the mashed potatoes. Like she was just having mashed potatoes for dinner. She. I mean, she was eating. Now she got a busted up face.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Am I missing something on the story? Anybody else know anything about it? Give Her a million. Like, we just settled it here.
Scuba Steve
Give her 1 million.
Bobby Bones
Sold.
Scuba Steve
She's done.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that sucks. I was getting some late breaking text information during that story.
Amy
Late breaking text about what?
Bobby Bones
Can't tell you right now.
Scuba Steve
Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
If you saw me on my phone, I wasn't trying to be rude. I was getting some late breaking text information on my phone. It has nothing to do with. You guys will find it interesting. I just can't share it right now. And I'll be able to share it maybe tomorrow, the next day. It has nothing to do with the show, but you guys all know the parties involved.
Scuba Steve
It's kind of fun.
Bobby Bones
You will never guess it because it's not guessable.
Amy
Okay, somebody's getting.
Bobby Bones
But that's why I was looking fired at my phone in the middle of that story. So I apologize.
Scuba Steve
Oh, no problem.
Bobby Bones
Thank you, Lunchbox. Yeah.
Eddie
There was this girl in Chicago. She's graduating high school. She's all excited. They call her name. She walks up on the stage and she waves. Everybody.
Bobby Bones
Boom.
Eddie
Drops down, does the splits, pops back up. They take her off stage, don't give her a diploma, Kick her out of graduation.
Amy
What? For the splits?
Scuba Steve
Yeah, but. But she's still going to graduate. The diploma's fake.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah, but she said they withheld her diploma and she didn't get to spend the rest of graduation with her graduating class. They removed her from the whole thing. Like, why. Why do we do this?
Bobby Bones
I would say she does get to graduate, so they can't take that from her. I would say we're talking precedents. You can't. I agree, it seems kind of dumb, but you can't be allowing people to do things like the splits or flashing or without going. If you do, you will be kicked out. So it's not even really probably about this, but it's about the future of. We have rules. You have to follow these rules during graduation or you'll be kicked out. We can't let you do this. Next thing you know, some guy's got his weaner out.
Scuba Steve
You want that?
Bobby Bones
But she gets to graduate.
Eddie
They said they are not going to give her a diploma until she comes up with a solution on how she's going to make up for her mistake.
Scuba Steve
What solution? Can't you just say, like, I'll never do that again?
Bobby Bones
They're never gonna keep her from graduating.
Scuba Steve
They can't.
Bobby Bones
I don't know what they can or can't do, but I'm watching it. I mean, she does get down. It's not just the splits. It's also the hump on the ground.
Scuba Steve
Oh, she humps the ground.
Bobby Bones
I mean, it's like. But it's like. It's like a split booty. Well, it's. It's not a straight twerk.
Eddie
It's not a twerk. It's a she.
Bobby Bones
Well, describe it. It's a split, then hump twerk kind of a thing.
Amy
Okay.
Scuba Steve
While she's splitting.
Bobby Bones
Yes. It very much could be looked at by old people as her simulating, disrespectful.
Scuba Steve
Being sexual.
Bobby Bones
Yes, to us. We're like, get it? But if you're like 60 and you're handing out diplomas, you're like, she's doing some. Some sex stuff on stage.
Scuba Steve
So is this the same as a backflip?
Bobby Bones
No, because backflip doesn't get people pregnant. Okay, right now, I'd answer that, but this is.
Amy
Unless they hump the air.
Bobby Bones
I'm telling you, it's not even really her being sexual, but I could see where somebody that does not understand the current age of dance. That sounds like an old thing to say.
Scuba Steve
She's just doing the thing.
Bobby Bones
She's doing the thing. They'll let her graduate for sure. She needs. She'll write a paper and. Heck, just go to AI. Write me a paper?
Scuba Steve
Yeah, the paper sounds dumb. Like, that's just.
Bobby Bones
Why? Because she broke the rules.
Eddie
See, this is the administration trying to just be power hungry. This is what I hate.
Bobby Bones
I'm sure they had rules before. You can't do anything disruptive during graduation. And if you do, you'll have heck to pay. I'm just paying heck right now.
Eddie
That's like when I showed up for high school graduation and three administrators pulled me aside and said, hey, this is a dignified ceremony. Don't do anything or we will withhold your diploma.
Scuba Steve
And what did you do anything?
Eddie
No, I was like.
Scuba Steve
So you got scared?
Eddie
I hadn't planned on doing anything crazy, but they thought.
Scuba Steve
They thought you would.
Eddie
Yeah, they were worried. They were stressed out.
Scuba Steve
You know which other one is so stupid is you can't clap for every. Every name.
Bobby Bones
I don't think that's stupid. What, because it would extend the graduation by an hour?
Scuba Steve
No, they can keep going. They don't have to slow anything down.
Bobby Bones
Then people that are getting big claps, the person behind them's name doesn't get heard because everybody's clapping. And then the mom and dad are like, well, you can't even hear our daughter's name because people were clapping about Joe Bob.
Scuba Steve
Okay, I Just feel like I'm not gonna use the term lunchbox. Power hungry society, Whatever. But it is kind of stupid. Like, will you withhold all applause till we're done with all the names?
Bobby Bones
But it's not stupid. Unless you want to be there another hour and a half. Do you want to be there another
Scuba Steve
hour and a half? No, no, they're already very long.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah, they're really long. This is my explanation.
Scuba Steve
Yeah, it does.
Amy
Okay.
Scuba Steve
And I guess, like, for people that don't have family, that kind of sucks.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
When they go through and they don't get a clap.
Bobby Bones
There's also that it's mostly the. The length of time it takes.
Scuba Steve
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay, let's see. Morgan.
Morgan
So Marilyn Monroe would have been 100 years old. And to celebrate her birthday, there's been a huge auction of a lot of her items. One of the items that is going up is one of her bras.
Amy
Interesting.
Bobby Bones
So who you just buy that for memorabilia purposes? Not per of purposes. Well, I think it takes too much money.
Scuba Steve
Like how much you think it'd go for?
Bobby Bones
Also, do you want to perv out on somebody from the 50s?
Scuba Steve
Marilyn Monroe is pretty hot.
Bobby Bones
Also, it's. I think it was white and now it's like tanning.
Morgan
It's definitely been worn for sure.
Bobby Bones
It's a 30cc discolored. It's just old.
Amy
Uh huh.
Bobby Bones
But do you think that's White Mike or do you think it was meant to be that brownish gold? It looks like. Yeah, that's some age on it.
Morgan
I was gonna say it feels like wear and tear. I bet it was either like a cream color or I don't think it was white, but maybe a cream or a beige color. And now, yeah, it's definitely not wear and tear on it.
Bobby Bones
From the 1950s up for October with dozens of other items that belong to the Hollywood legend. The starting bid was 25 bucks. It's now into the thousands. They expect it to reach $20,000 easily. Let's say I bought that. Would that be pervy of me or me just buying memorabilia?
Scuba Steve
Let me ask you something.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Scuba Steve
What would your wife think if you came home? You're like, look what I bought at an auction.
Bobby Bones
What the crap did you just buy that for?
Scuba Steve
Right?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Scuba Steve
So probably a little pervy.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Morgan
There are like other things though. So there were three letters from her psychiatrist that also sold on this for $62,000. Letters from her, like, about her mental health. That feels weird.
Amy
Yeah. How is that possible? Does HIPAA expire?
Bobby Bones
Did they even have HIPAA then. And if everybody's dead.
Scuba Steve
Yeah. Does it matter?
Bobby Bones
I don't know. I don't have the answer to that.
Amy
Well, when we all passed away, I don't want.
Bobby Bones
HIPAA was enacted in 1996, so no, they're not covered. Oh, wow.
Amy
Okay. I guess I don't think I have any.
Bobby Bones
396 therapy, freaking psychiatrist just telling everybody's business that day. Hey, hey, connect me with line three, please. Sally.
Scuba Steve
Hey, Marilyn just left my office.
Bobby Bones
You'll never guess, you know, Sally, the operator was listening in too. They're plugging in those things.
Amy
I mean, I would just guess like back, way, way back. Doctors like that would be sharing stuff with like the husbands before they shared it with the actual wife. Like.
Bobby Bones
Good point.
Amy
That was in the therapy. Or a dad, like the male figure.
Bobby Bones
I saw a funny video, I wish I knew the comedian. And he said, I'm gonna do an impression of like a sexist Ed Sheeran. And he has a guitar and he starts to play like a little Ed Sheerany type song. And he's like, all right, clap it up. And the audience goes, women, shut up. Only guys clap.
Scuba Steve
That's funny.
Amy
I mean.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, kinda funny, huh?
Scuba Steve
That's really funny. You remember the guy?
Bobby Bones
No, I didn't even think about it until Amy said that. And I was like, oh, I saw something kind of funny about that. That was a pretty funny joke, huh?
Scuba Steve
I like that.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, me too.
Amy
Good times.
Bobby Bones
The good times. The first pig liver and kidneys are transplanted into a person. Scientists have performed the first ever transplant of multiple organs from a genetically modified pig into a human. The recipient, a 53 year old man who had been declared brain dead, received two pig kidneys and a pig liver. And so they know this dude's dead anyway. His brain's dead, so he's not coming back to life, but his body's alive. So what they were doing was taking these organs that they have modified to see how long a human could live by using the organs, which is a pretty cool experiment to be able to do.
Scuba Steve
But wasn't the problem that some of these organs didn't last that long because they were animal organs?
Bobby Bones
Yes, and that's what happened here too. But when we've talked about these in the past, people have taken like a cow heart or something and they're alive and they're really hoping it keeps them alive and they die. And that's sad. This guy is already dead. His body's alive but he's brain dead. So you get to do this experiment on a living body that's already dead and see without the person being alive, fearing that they may die with a cow organ inside them and in this case a pig liver and kidneys for five days. It worked.
Scuba Steve
Wow.
Bobby Bones
The liver produced bile, the kidneys were filtering waste products. As expected, it definitely rejected it later, but now they have this information to build off of, which is pretty cool. Nature.com with that story. And pandas aren't real. So there we have it. All right, good job everybody. Thank you guys for listening. Appreciate you.
