Bobby Bones
Come on, Bobby. Transmitting across America. Welcome to Tuesday's show. Morning, studio.
Caller / Eddie
Morning, Bones.
Bobby Bones
A lot of people ready to talk to us this morning. Jason is on the phone from Alabama. Jason, what's going on, buddy?
Caller / Eddie
Good morning, Bobby. Good morning, studio.
Big Lone
Morning.
Caller / Eddie
I understand that I married an amazing woman. All right? My wife is next to none. But I have learned in my life and in my 12 years of marriage that whenever it comes to gifts on Valentine's Day, I don't get her anything. And the reason I don't get her anything is because if I'm only getting her something on Valentine's Day to show her how much I love her on February 14, only I'm not a great husband. I get her stuff all throughout the year just to let her know how much I love her, let her know that she's adored every day. 365, 24. 7.
Bobby Bones
I mean, this sounds great in theory, but I get Kaylin stuff, too. But I also use Valentine's Day as a day to go, hey, this day is just an acknowledgment, like a pure acknowledgment of not every day, but let me do something I don't normally do. So.
Amy
Right. So that's my question. Like, he literally does nothing. You do nothing?
Bobby Bones
Well, he loves her awful heart.
Caller / Eddie
The other 364 days, I don't do nothing. Her growing up, her mother's birthday is Valentine's Day, so he grew up with that being her mother's birthday. And of course, I don't want to be the guy, the one guy on the planet that doesn't do something special for his life on Valentine's Day. So I do something just because I don't want to be that guy. But again, I guess my point is that I've learned if that's the only day that I'm doing something special for her on a day where everybody else is, too, then it's not really that special. I guess that's that. That's just how we look at it.
Bobby Bones
Here's what I learned. I'm gonna do something special throughout the year, and I'm also gonna do something special on Valentine's Day because everybody else is. And I don't want to be the one person who's not getting that, you.
Amy
Know, for years, though, like, even when you were just single and not. You all would always throw out to guys like, hey, hit her with the flowers at work, like, 13. Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
The day before.
Amy
And really surprise her.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Because that'll get her, because she's probably expecting something on the 14th. But you can't not do it just because everybody else is. That's even worse if everybody else is getting something and she doesn't. I. I understand your point, Jason. I appreciate you calling. And listen, we all aspire to be as giving the other 364 days, man. I got a lot of work. Every day. Every day. All right, Jason. Have a good day, bud.
Caller / Eddie
Y' all, too.
Bobby Bones
All right. See you later. Christina in Texas is on the phone. Christina, what's going on?
Christina
I wanted to reach out to y' all and tell y' all a funny story from my son filming as an extra in 1883.
Amy
Ooh, okay.
Bobby Bones
Hey, where did he shoot that? What state was he in?
Christina
It was in Guthrie, Texas, at the Four Sixes ranch.
Bobby Bones
Oh, they shot it there at the Four Sixes Ranch?
Christina
Yes, they did.
Bobby Bones
Okay. That's pretty cool. All right, go ahead.
Christina
So, you know, I started watching Yellowstone in 1883 from watching y' all or listening to y' all show. And so there were about three or four boys that, you know, hung out the whole time, and they didn't really know who Tim McGraw or Faith Hill really were. So us as moms, you know, the moms had to go as guardians and keep an eye on them. And so we kept pointing them out, like, okay, there's Tim McGraw. There's Faith Hill. Like, make sure you're cool.
Sophie Cunningham
Don't.
Christina
Don't do anything that you're not supposed to. And by the end of the week, they were all so excited that they got, you know, to spend a week with them, and they just felt like, oh, that's cool. That's Tim and Crawl. That's Faith Hill. And so we all started leaving after we wrapped that night at the end of the week, and Tim McGraw and Faith, he'll start walking off the set, and they're holding hands, and one of the boys looks at my son and he goes. He puts his hand over his mouth, and his eyes are real big, and he goes, oh, my gosh. Are they dating in real life?
Bobby Bones
The kids think that they're having a secret affair on set. Like, dang. All the actors do hook up with each other.
Christina
Yes. So then they were just like, you know, they all thought they had this huge secret, and you would have. You would have thought they were going to sell this Story to TMZ or something.
Caller / Eddie
Really funny.
Bobby Bones
That's funny. Well, thank you for sharing that with us. And Pretty cool. They still hold hands when there's, you know, not a camera doing an interview. Yeah. That is walking.
Big Lone
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Well, thank you, Christina. Thank you for the story and hope you have an awesome morning, y', all, too. All right.
Sophie Cunningham
Bye.
Christina
Bye.
Bobby Bones
Let's do one more. This is Chloe in Oklahoma City, who's on the phone.
Christina
Bobby, that you were saying that you didn't really have role models for parents, and I wanted to say you did have role modeling. It just wasn't the pretty perfect role modeling. It was just what not to do.
Bobby Bones
Well, I didn't really have a dad. I mean, so.
Lunchbox
So you know not to do that.
Bobby Bones
So I know not to have. I understand your point. Meaning I just do the opposite of everything I was shown. But. But I don't. I didn't have two parents that were just doing bad things. I kind of had a dad who. Who wasn't there and a mom who was there sporadically. So, I mean, I guess just be there.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Would be what I. But I understand your point. I. I don't completely vibe with it, but I. I get what you're saying. And people were like, well, you learned what not to do, so just do everything. The opposite feels like George Costanza on Seinfeld, where he went against everything that he thought just ran the. So I. Listen, I get it, and I appreciate that call. And. Okay. Okay. That doesn't settle me for my nervousness at eventually being a parent, but I do understand your sentiment.
Christina
I also wanted to say, I personally, with my life experience, it was h E double hockey sticks. What I learned from being a parent is you learn along the way. There's no book on it.
Bobby Bones
There's actually. I've seen them for sale, like, a ton of them. Yeah, there's a lot of books.
Amy
I mean, yeah, they're.
Sophie Cunningham
They're.
Amy
They're a tool, but she's right. You will learn as you go. Like, I. I can test that. I'm sure every parent in this room would say, like, they're very different type of parent from day one to now.
Bobby Bones
Well, I believe that. And follow me on this. Life's a dance. You learn as you go.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Sometimes you lead and sometimes you follow. The thing is, don't worry about what you don't know. Why? Well, I told you, life's a dance. You learn as you go.
Lunchbox
Oh, okay, Steve.
Bobby Bones
All right.
Lunchbox
Good man.
Bobby Bones
Thank you, Chloe. Let's end on a positive little note. Here, this is voicemail number one that we got late last night. Here you go.
Caller / Eddie
Good morning, guys. I just wanted to say freaking love the show. Continue doing what you guys are doing. I love the morning hornies. They're super duper funny. I got a good one. Why didn't the toilet paper cross the road? Because he was stuck in a crack. All right, guys, have a good day.
Bobby Bones
The Bobby Bones Show. Happy New Year. It's the anonymous inbox. Anonymous in box. There's a question to be had till it into the mailman. Hello, Bobby Bones. Earlier this month, my wife and I went to a new restaurant. Our waiter and the food both fantastic. I tipped my waiter what I thought was 20 bucks. Fast forward to last week when my credit card bill was due. I saw I had accidentally tipped $200 instead of 20. I was frantic and began searching for the receipt. I was able to find it in my jacket pocket and sure enough, there it was. I accidentally tipped $200 instead of 20. Maybe the beers I had during dinner made me add an extra zero. But anyway, it's been a couple weeks. Am I out the 200 bucks? Do you think I should call and explain what happened and try to have them correct my tip from 200 to 20? Or if I do, do you think the server will lose out on the tip? Thanks, William. Boy, that's drastic.
Amy
Well, yeah, the server will lose out on it.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
This is what I would say. If the mess up is keeping you from paying a bill, you can probably call the restaurant and have them hopefully help you fix it. If you're fine. And that was just money that you were going to spend on playing golf, Starbucks, things that are not a necessity. I think you just eat it. I think if you would have caught it a day after, you could have called back, no problem. But this waiter has probably already spent the money.
Amy
Yeah, I mean, I think that. Yeah, you just have to learn from this. Next time you have a few beers, you'll be a little more careful.
Bobby Bones
If this is imperative to your day to day life. Paying the bills, keeping the lights on. You got to make a call to the restaurant. If it is not. You learned a valuable lesson, a 180 lesson. But it's up to you if you're asking the question. I'm thinking that he wants it back. I'm thinking that it's not that he must have it back. Pay the bills or feed the kids.
Lunchbox
What does the restaurant do here? Do you think they'll give it back if you ask?
Bobby Bones
I think it depends on the Management in the restaurant, I think probably they give it back, but I think who gives it back is where maybe the restaurant just goes, here, we're gonna pay this. And they don't go back to the waiter. That's a possibility, but it's not a probability.
Amy
Yeah, I mean, there has to be a lot of bars and restaurants that have dealt with this and maybe not even 200. We could be talking like thousands of people just drinking too much and being like, what up? And then the next day they're like, oh my goodness.
Bobby Bones
And if it were the next day, I would say just go get your money back, because it's understandable and the person hasn't spent the money yet. So this is my final verdict here. If you can lose the money and not be subject to creditor calling going, hey, why didn't you pay this bill? Then just lose. You lost the money if you can't call and they'll figure it out. But that's what I say. Poor waiter. If you get a call back, oh, I know this.
Amy
Probably a tell me something good somewhere where someone's like, wow, a Nice man left $180 extra to him.
Bobby Bones
William, I think you just lost the money, buddy. That's what I think. And if you have to ask, you probably have to leave him the money. All right, William, thanks for the email, buddy. There you go. Let's go over and talk to Jim in Bakersfield, who is on the phone. Hey, Jim, what's happening?
Caller / Eddie
Hey. So I was listening to the storyline about the tip, and I think in this case he's out. He waited too long. Years ago for my mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary. There was probably with relatives and family, probably about 45 of us. We left the staff about a $3,500 tip. Within probably an hour after we got home, they had called us, the restaurant called us and said, hey, you know, did you mean to do this? And we said, yes, we did. So I think in this instance, you know, if the restaurant had called, that'd be one thing, but he's out. He's out the money. The person's probably already spent it.
Jim
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I think the fact that it took two weeks to notice and that he's emailing us, he's probably going to be okay without it.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Otherwise, I do think if they're going to shut your water off, you can probably call the restaurant and say it was an accident, but that's probably not what's happening here.
Amy
But even then that you still might not get it.
Sophie Cunningham
Back.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I know. Hey, thanks for the call, Jim. Appreciate that. In the next segment, boy, do I have some stuff to talk about.
Jim
Boy.
Bobby Bones
Hey. Boy, do I have some stuff to talk about. I do want to talk about something that they make for women that now they're making for men. And I just want to know if any men on the show would like to have this.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Some of the men on the show may really like to have it. It's only known for women for the most part. I mean, I guess I can never think of it being for a man.
Sophie Cunningham
Bones.
Bobby Bones
A company that does lingerie for women is doing a lace underwear for men.
Big Lone
Amy.
Amy
I don't really know if I have words. I. I don't know what. Who is this for Men. But it, you know, men, like, so men would say, sometimes the laundry. I mean, the lingerie can be for the woman or the man. Like, it can make you feel a certain way and confident and all the things.
Bobby Bones
I never feel certain ways or confident. Is there something I can wear that makes me feel certain ways and confident?
Amy
Maybe this. Wow.
Big Lone
Maybe.
Bobby Bones
The cost is around $35. Many stylish colors. They say the material used is an original men's lace, which provides improved stretch and strength. The lace itself features a large floral pattern, elegantly finished with images of leaves and motifs. So here's the thing. I don't think they should approach this the same way they approach lace with women.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's not about flowers and leaves. It's. If you're going to appeal to men, it's footballs and hammers. Yeah. Motorcycles. Yeah. That should be what the shapes are.
Amy
They did say men's lace. Men's lace.
Bobby Bones
Again, it says, again, original men's lace features floral patterns.
Amy
Right.
Bobby Bones
Oh, we. No, that's what we want. We want soccer balls and sonic hamburgers.
Lunchbox
Like, if it had a Dallas Cowboy star on it, I'd be down to do this.
Bobby Bones
It would make it okay.
Amy
Y' all would wear lacy underwear as long as it had, like, you know.
Christina
Your things on it.
Bobby Bones
We're not saying we would. We were saying there's a better chance of it.
Whimsound Ad Voice
Yeah.
Jim
With the flowers, there's no chance.
Bobby Bones
I don't know if lace even feels good.
Amy
Huh.
Lunchbox
So I bet it breathes.
Amy
Try it out. Order a pair. Spin the wheel.
Bobby Bones
Order a pair. That someone. Oh, here's what we do. Here's what we do.
Sophie Cunningham
Sorry.
Bobby Bones
We put all the dudes on the wheel.
Lunchbox
Come on, man.
Bobby Bones
We spin it.
Jim
Oh, it.
Bobby Bones
It lands on them. And then we know the size. We need to order. And then we order it, and the person's got to wear them for three days. Packs of three.
Sophie Cunningham
Okay.
Lunchbox
But not like model in it or anything. Just wear it and review it.
Sophie Cunningham
Wait, yeah.
Amy
And you have to, like, surprise your significant other with it.
Bobby Bones
Like, it won't be a surprise because we've talked about it publicly. Now we play the game.
Amy
Oh, well, they don't always listen.
Bobby Bones
No, my Caitlin never listens. But it pops up on Instagram sometimes.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like, if we keep the club off Instagram, it could possibly be a surprise. So that's what we should do. We should spin the wheel. Maybe later in the show.
Amy
Okay. Are y' all different sizes?
Bobby Bones
Why? Okay. Assign sizes to us.
Amy
Well, I. No, I don't want to. I mean, I'm sure I don't sometimes.
Bobby Bones
What size underwear would we all wear?
Amy
You could all wear a medium.
Big Lone
Me?
Amy
You could all wear a medium.
Bobby Bones
No, no, let's talk about it. Me. What size would I wear?
Amy
A medium.
Bobby Bones
What size would Eddie wear? A medium.
Lunchbox
Okay, you're not playing snug medium.
Amy
Eddie's not. Eddie's narrow.
Lunchbox
Yeah, man, I'm narrow. Listen to her.
Bobby Bones
Do you ever want to be called narrow? Like, in shape, thin. That's okay. But narrow feels like the weirdest because.
Amy
Like, commenting on people's bodies. But I think he's narrow.
Bobby Bones
You started it by going, we're all the same size.
Sophie Cunningham
That's.
Amy
I just started it by being like, we don't have to spin the wheel.
Sophie Cunningham
To wait to order.
Bobby Bones
Okay, let's get the wheel ready. Just the dudes, though. Okay.
Lunchbox
Mike D In this?
Big Lone
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Why would he not be?
Jim
I feel like Scuba wants to wear this. He's one of those weird dudes that wear this. No problem.
Bobby Bones
Hey, it's Bobby Bones here. You ever tried to plan a trip for a large group? Everybody has their own idea of what the vacation should look like. One friend needs a backyard for their new puppy. They bring everywhere. Another friend needs blackout curtains because waking up before 10am yeah, that's not gonna happen. Another friend insists on having a king sized bed even though they're happily single. Booking.com totally gets it. And let's be honest, you're probably a bit picky too. Maybe you want a spot with a good view. Because what's the point if you can't look out the window and feel like you're somewhere new? Booking.com makes juggling those seemingly impossible requests totally possible. They've got hotels, vacation rentals, and every kind of stay you can imagine all across the us. Whether you're looking for space or style or just something that works for everybody, booking.com helps you get it right. Find exactly what you're booking for. Booking.com booking. Yeah. That's booking.com booking. Yeah.
Big Lone
What's up, y'? All? This is Big Lone from It's Up There podcast. In this powerful episode, we're breaking down the danger of silence and how way too many of us are taught to protect the vibe instead of protecting ourselves. We spend more time researching cars, microphones, sneakers than we will researching on how to protect our bodies and our partners. If you have an honest conversation, one uncomfortable minute can save you a lifetime of regret. The CDC says nearly one in five people carry an STI and most don't even know it. Real intimate isn't built in the dark. It's built in the disclosure. Condoms testing transparency. Those aren't passion killers. They're peace builders. It's too much risk in our silence. Speak up. You can listen to this special episode of It's Up There podcast with Loneliness, brought to you by Healthy Sexual from Gilead sciences on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcast.

Hey, audiobook lovers. This week on the podcast, I'm sitting down with musician, producer, and walking encyclopedia Questlove. We're talking about Mark Ronson's memoir, Night how to be a DJ in 90s New York City. All right, like we talked about before, Mark Ronson found sanctuary in the DJ booth. What's a tool or piece of equipment in the studio or on stage that gives you the most control?
Lunchbox
So I have two microphones on stage. We have the microphone that you hear as the audience. Then we have a second microphone in.
Bobby Bones
Which we communicate with each other. I feel like that second microphone kind of saved all of our friendships. No band likes each other after 20.
Big Lone
Years or 25 years.
Bobby Bones
The Beatles broke up in seven and a half years, and we're going on.

Jim
A mom in Atlanta pulled into a gas station, left the car running to run inside and get a drink. Her nine year old son in the backseat. Well, when she went inside, someone jumped in the car and drove off. She's like, what am I gonna do? She calls 911 and she pulls out her iPhone and uses find my iPhone Apple and tracks her son's iPhone and gives the police detailed play by play instructions.
Bobby Bones
That's awesome. And I believe now we know you should always give a nine year old an iPhone. That's what we learned here.
Jim
That's what stuck out to me, is that a nine year old had an iPhone.
Bobby Bones
Let's go. They all get one.
Amy
Okay.
Lunchbox
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
Let's sign that into the law. That's the craziest part of the story.
Lunchbox
Yeah. I can't believe he had an iPhone.
Bobby Bones
So they found the kid, they got the car.
Jim
Yeah, because she was able to go, oh, wait, they're turning left on this street. Oh, they're over here. She came play by play.
Amy
That's crazy.
Jim
Doing fine. My iPhone.
Bobby Bones
That's pretty cool. Good job. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good, bones. Let's go over. I would like to talk to Rick in Arkansas. Rick, welcome to the show. What's going on, buddy?
Caller / Eddie
Morning, studio.
Bobby Bones
Morning.
Caller / Eddie
Hey, so I kind of want to touch base on the men's lace underwear.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Jim
Really?
Caller / Eddie
What are we doing, guys? How are you going to be a man's man wearing lace underwear?
Lunchbox
I agree.
Jim
I agree with you. I didn't say we wanted to do this.
Bobby Bones
I don't want to do this. I think embarrass. We're putting something on the wheel we don't want to do. So are you talking about us or are you talking about society?
Caller / Eddie
No, just society.
Lunchbox
Okay. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Good.
Caller / Eddie
I mean, can you picture you, you know, you go on a date, he's a Man's man. They get to the bedroom and flowery laced underwear. Where do you go with that?
Bobby Bones
Well, what if we normalized men wanting to wear more comfortable things?
Lunchbox
Good luck with that.
Amy
You should.
Bobby Bones
I don't know that this is going to be comfortable.
Lunchbox
We're going to find out.
Bobby Bones
Someone's going to find out. We have next segment. We'll bring the wheel. What happened about 25 minutes ago was we read a story about how they're making men's lace underwear now, and you can order like a three pack for 35 bucks. And I don't know what it feels like to wear lace. And I asked if anyone on the show would like. And no one wanted to do this. So we're going to spin the wheel. And I believe it comes in packs of three, so whomever loses has to wear it over three. Oh, wow. I'm looking at. I mean, it's frilly lace.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Mike has got a picture up of it.
Jim
Oh, man. It's like see through on the back.
Bobby Bones
Lace.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
How long until we get this in, Mike? If we order it.
Amy
Oh, they're out of stock.
Bobby Bones
That's okay. Well, we'll spin the wheel. We'll wait for it. Okay. Rick, as you can hear, none of us want to wear it.
Amy
I mean, out of stock has to say something.
Bobby Bones
Hey, it's fine.
Lunchbox
They probably made like.
Bobby Bones
The person who gets it is secretly like, oh, I hate it. They're ordering more. We'll spin the wheel in a second. The Bobby Bones show. Happy New Year, bones. Missy in New York, you are on the Bobby Bone show. Missy, how's it going?
Christina
It's going just fine. Good morning, studio.
Lunchbox
Morning.
Christina
I find that so funny, the bit about the lace underwear. It comes in a pack of three, and Amy said that all three of you guys are pretty much the same size, so why don't you all three wear them?
Bobby Bones
We're not the same size, though. Amy just didn't want to comment on people's bodies.
Lunchbox
Interesting.
Bobby Bones
She did. Then she pulled back real quick.
Amy
It's. It's stretchy. It can fit.
Bobby Bones
Who's a large?
Lunchbox
I mean, comfortably.
Bobby Bones
Probably a large lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Really comfortably.
Bobby Bones
And I could go big, small, or medium. Like a big. Small or medium. So we're just. I don't like to.
Jim
What is a big Small?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's like T shirts. If there's. I can wear small T shirts as long as they're on the larger side of small.
Lunchbox
Same as underwear.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, if I have to. If I have to.
Christina
Okay.
Bobby Bones
All right, let's do this. Let's spin the wheel. Whomever it lands on will order the box of three laces. They'll have to wear them for three days in a row.
Lunchbox
And they have flowers on them.
Bobby Bones
They do.
Jim
Do we need another practice spin?
Bobby Bones
Nope. Here we go. Let's spin that wheel. Come on.
Jim
Come on.
Bobby Bones
It's all the guys on the show. Oh, on a wheel.
Caller / Eddie
Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no. Oh, no.
Jim
Oh, no.
Lunchbox
Can't do.
Bobby Bones
Eddie. Eddie.
Amy
I mean, it was meant to be.
Lunchbox
My wife is gonna kill you. She doesn't want to see me in lingerie.
Jim
You never know.
Amy
So did she, but.
Bobby Bones
But has she seen you before? And now you know that?
Lunchbox
No.
Bobby Bones
Then how long you been married?
Lunchbox
16 years.
Bobby Bones
Maybe this is just a spark to bring the fire back.
Lunchbox
This is not good, dude.
Bobby Bones
So we'll order them.
Lunchbox
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
We have no idea when they're gonna come in because they're out of stock right now. But as soon as they're here. What size you want, buddy? Large.
Lunchbox
Let's go large. Comfortable? Large?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. You want small large or big Large.
Big Lone
No. Yeah.
Podcast Host (Jenny Garth / Earsay Host)
Smaller.
Big Lone
Large.
Lunchbox
Smaller. Large. Yeah. This is not good.
Bobby Bones
All right, so Eddie lost. Nice job, Eddie. Oh, I was only one spot away. Happy New Year.
Sophie Cunningham
Cheers, y'.
Bobby Bones
All. From the Bobby Bones Show.
Sophie Cunningham
This.
Bobby Bones
Let's play the Bobby Feud. We have a chance to win $100 today. More money than ever before. You have a chance to win $100. The players are Amy, Lunchbox, and Eddie. So we asked about 3, 000 of our Bobby Bone show listeners that somebody replied. New year's resolution for 20, 24. What are the top 10? Amy, you won the dice roll. Go ahead.
Amy
Okay. I feel like it's just always a common one, but, like, lose weight.
Bobby Bones
Show me lose weight. Number one answer. Okay.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Amy
Not gonna do much for me, so. Oh, man. I feel like we all wanna. Would someone answer with this? Okay. Save money.
Bobby Bones
Would someone answer with no?
Amy
No, I, I, I switched.
Bobby Bones
Like, that's the most generic general one you could possibly. Yeah, save money. A lot of people did three good. Number three answer.
Amy
No, I. I knew that one would be on there. This is what I went away from.
Jim
They're going back to it now.
Amy
I'm gonna go back to it. Hopefully that's further down. More sleep. Better. More sleep.
Lunchbox
More sleep.
Bobby Bones
More sleep.
Amy
Sleep. Better sleep.
Bobby Bones
Better sleep, More sleep. All right.
Amy
Oh, See, I took a risk because thought maybe that'd be a 10, you know?
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Let's go over to Lunchbox. Lunchbox. We had about 3,000 of our listeners.
Caller / Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Top 10 resolutions.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Jim
This bald guy next to me, he had this resolution a few years back, and he reached his goal. Pay off debt. Pay debt. No, you said save money. That's not paying debt. Okay. Is that even.
Bobby Bones
Show me. Pay debt.
Lunchbox
Could go hand in hand, you know.
Bobby Bones
But it could have been that. That'd have been two different ones. But it didn't. It's not Eddie.
Lunchbox
I'm gonna go with working out. Working out. So has nothing to do with losing weight.
Bobby Bones
Working out.
Lunchbox
Exercise more.
Jim
Get healthier.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I would say exercise more. Number two, working out. Exercise. Let's do that one. Healthy. Healthy.
Caller / Eddie
Being healthy.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Okay, I'm on the board.
Bobby Bones
Number two answer, though. You got two points.
Lunchbox
Working out. I'm going to go with bones. Read more. People like to read.
Bobby Bones
For some reason, they like to read or they, they, they.
Lunchbox
Well, they. They don't like to read. But then the new year, they're like, I'm going to start reading more.
Bobby Bones
They like to say they want to read. Yeah, show me. Read more.
Amy
What?
Bobby Bones
Okay, so after round one, we're struggling. Round one of three, Amy with four points, Lunchbox with zero. Eddie with two. It is round two, so points are doubled. There are only three answers off the board. One, two, and three. To be healthier, exercise. To lose weight, which is different, by the way. We had to kind of define that because you can lose weight and not be healthy. We wanted to make sure everybody was happy with us on this.
Lunchbox
That's a good point.
Big Lone
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And then save money.
Amy
Yeah. Drink less.
Lunchbox
Oh, that's good.
Bobby Bones
Amy. Alcohol.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Drink. That's alcohol. That is the number nine answer. Wow. Worth eight, 15 points.
Amy
Okay.
Jim
I wouldn't have got that either.
Lunchbox
I never want to do that, man.
Amy
I'm trying to think of what. Okay, maybe travel.
Sophie Cunningham
More.
Bobby Bones
Travel more. Number eight answer was 60.
Lunchbox
What on earth in the world?
Whimsound Ad Voice
Yay.
Amy
This is fun.
Bobby Bones
Top 10 New Year's resolutions from our audience, 3,000 people. Answer number one, exercise more. Number two, be healthier. Number three, save more money. Number eight, travel more. Number nine, drink less alcohol.
Amy
Drink more water.
Bobby Bones
She's drinking and she's not drinking. Show me water.
Amy
Dang, that's online.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Jim
Oh, man. It goes hand in hand with saving money. And so I'm gonna say eat out less. You gotta cook at home. Cook those home cooked meals.
Bobby Bones
Good one. Yeah. Cooking at home.
Lunchbox
That's a good one.
Bobby Bones
It was a good one.
Jim
I don't understand.
Lunchbox
I'm taking this one off of Morgan. I'm gonna go with a lot of people Are trying to find a partner.
Bobby Bones
Partner.
Lunchbox
Find themselves a partner.
Bobby Bones
Let's go get lucky. All right, round three, final round. Amy, with 38 points. Now, you can make a lot of points up here. Lunchbox zero. Eddie two. You have four, five, six, seven, and ten. Oh, boy. Big points on the board, Amy.
Amy
Okay, less screen time.
Bobby Bones
Show me less screen time. Oh, my gosh. Number 10. Less time on screens or social media. Dang it.
Jim
Not good. Besides cook stupid.
Lunchbox
Yeah, me too, man. I had that, too.
Jim
That's all I got, though. I went with the one of the two, and I missed it. Good game, Amy.
Bobby Bones
Well, you have to give up. Yeah, there's still points. A lot of points on the board.
Sophie Cunningham
Have fun.
Bobby Bones
Have fun.
Lunchbox
Oh, I like that.
Amy
Like, do more fun, fun stuff.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Big Lone
He's out.
Lunchbox
He's dry.
Jim
I'm. I'm really dry.
Bobby Bones
Be dry. Okay, Eddie. Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
Jim
That wasn't.
Lunchbox
No.
Bobby Bones
You threw in the towel and you're like, I got nothing. I'm dry. You said there aren't enough points. So dry.
Jim
Get a new job.
Bobby Bones
No, it's not. It, Eddie. I don't understand why I got buzz.
Jim
Without even giving an answer.
Lunchbox
Find a hobby.
Bobby Bones
Show me a hobby. Yes. Number seven, answer. Yes. 21 points. Learn a new skill or hobby. Go ahead. Let's go.
Lunchbox
Did you. Did you really turn down new job?
Bobby Bones
It's not on there.
Big Lone
Okay, I'm gonna go with no.
Bobby Bones
I mean, we listen to him. It's not new job.
Christina
Okay, so it's not.
Big Lone
It's not on there.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Lunchbox
Let'S go with make more friends.
Bobby Bones
Show me new friends.
Sophie Cunningham
Dang it.
Amy
That was part of my have fun.
Bobby Bones
What? Okay, stop, stop.
Amy
I was thinking about.
Bobby Bones
It's not part of your have fun friends.
Lunchbox
Stop.
Bobby Bones
It's not part of your have fun. That's. That's hilarious, but it's not.
Sophie Cunningham
It was.
Bobby Bones
Number five answer. Spend more time with friends and family. Wow.
Amy
Wow, wow, wow.
Lunchbox
What's the score? Do I have a chance here?
Bobby Bones
What do I do? Let's see. Yeah, you could tie if you get these two.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Lunchbox
I have to get two.
Bobby Bones
There are two left. There's four and six, which means 10 points times three is 30 they be tied. Right, Mike? Yeah. You get both these for a tie. I told you there was enough points before Lunchbox quit.
Jim
But Eddie had points. I didn't. I had to leave him for Eddie.
Big Lone
You're welcome.
Lunchbox
Oh, I'm thinking.
Bobby Bones
I'm thinking.
Lunchbox
Yeah, Bones, let's go with.
Bobby Bones
That was nice of you, dude.
Jim
Thank you.
Lunchbox
Such a nice guy.
Jim
New year, new me, man. We're giving.
Big Lone
You know what?
Lunchbox
That was nice. I'm gonna say that's a resolution. Be nicer.
Bobby Bones
Be nicer.
Jim
And you wasted it.
Bobby Bones
What?
Amy
Give more, Donate, volunteer.
Lunchbox
Let's be nice.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no. Improve mental health and stop smoking.
Big Lone
There you go.
Bobby Bones
With 68 points, our winner is Amy. There are three versions of the game. You can play the 20 game, which is one of three doors. You could play the $50 game, which is one of five doors. But you play the hundred dollar game, which is one of 10 doors.
Amy
$100 game.
Sophie Cunningham
Let's go.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so I want you to think I have the doors all in front of me. Now, I have put behind this door, which I've drawn on this piece of paper a magic X. You pick this door up when I open it at this sound, here's the door open. If you hear this sou, you win a hundred dollars in cash. Oh, what door do you not want?
Amy
Do I not want. Yeah, one door number one. I don't want that.
Bobby Bones
Show me door number one. I'm good. Oh, it's a donkey.
Lunchbox
You don't want that.
Bobby Bones
You don't want that one. What other door do you not want?
Amy
So that's good. I want that noise on the ones I don't. Okay. I just. Game. Always.
Bobby Bones
Now there's only nine left. You don't. You don't want that one.
Amy
Yeah, yeah. I don't want 10 show.
Bobby Bones
Let's open 10 up. Now it's a one and eight shot.
Amy
I don't want nine.
Bobby Bones
Okay, she doesn't want nine. One and seven shot.
Amy
I don't want eight. I don't want seven.
Bobby Bones
Hold on, I'm trying to blank my X's here. Okay, hold on. Don't push my hand. So we have 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Okay, we have that block, right? Those are all in line. Okay, you have 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. What do you. What do you want? You're going a little too fast.
Amy
No, I know. Now I gotta pick what I want instead of what I don't want.
Bobby Bones
Now give me the one you don't want.
Big Lone
Again.
Amy
Yeah, six.
Bobby Bones
Okay, are we going all the way down till you pick two? Because if we are, just tell me. We'll go to two if you're gonna pick another one. That's still. It's fun. Unless you're walking me all the way down.
Amy
No, I'm just.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so you have my two, three, four and five.
Amy
Two. So am I picking one?
Sophie Cunningham
I don't want yes.
Amy
Okay. I don't want five.
Lunchbox
Oh, my God.
Bobby Bones
So now you're the one in three. Shot of 100.
Big Lone
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay, go ahead. So what door? You have door number two, door number three, and door number four.
Amy
That I want.
Bobby Bones
No, I'd already. Not one.
Amy
Oh, my gosh.
Jim
Two.
Amy
I don't want to.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I was like, if you want to, just take two.
Amy
I know. I already had in my mind. I was just gonna guess four, so.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's good. Sorry you didn't win anything. That was fun, though.
Lunchbox
Yeah, that was fun, though.
Bobby Bones
Thank you. Thank you. Hey, it's Bobby Bones here. You ever tried to plan a trip for a large group? Everybody has their own idea of what the vacation should look like. One friend needs a backyard for their new puppy they bring everywhere. Another friend needs blackout curtains because waking up before 10am yeah, that's not gonna happen. Another friend insists on having a king sized bed even though they're happily single. Booking.com totally gets it. And let's be honest, you're probably a bit picky too. Maybe you want a spot with a good view, because what's the point if you can't look out the window and feel like you're somewhere new? Booking.com makes juggling those seemingly impossible requests totally possible. They've got hotels, vacation rentals, and every kind of stay you can imagine all across the US Whether you're looking for space or style or just something that works for everybody, booking.com helps you get it right. Find exactly what you're booking for. Booking.com. booking. Yeah, that's booking.com, booking. Yeah.
Big Lone
What's up, y'?
Bobby Bones
All?
Big Lone
This is big Lone from It's Up There podcast. In this powerful episode, we're breaking down the danger of silence and how way too many of us are taught to protect the vibe instead of protecting ourselves. We spend more time researching cars, microphones, sneakers than we will researching on how to protect our bodies and our partners. If you have an honest conversation, one uncomfortable minute can save you a lifetime of regret. The CDC says nearly one in five people carry an sti and most don't even know it. Real intimate isn't built in the dark. It's built in the disclosure. Condoms, testing transparency. Those aren't passion killers. They're peace builders. It's too much risk in our silence. Speak up. It's time for the good news with Bobby. Tell me something. So there's this woman named Linda. She lives in Minnesota, and she's lived in the same town for like 20 years. She volunteers a lot in the town, so the community feels like they know her. They actually call her the mother of the neighborhood. Well, she had some hard times personally and she did not have the money to pay rent for her place and she was going to get evicted, but some of the community members were like, hey, we should do something here to make sure she doesn't get evicted. So not only did they just do something to pay her rent, they actually went to an art museum. They had a fundraiser and raised enough for her to. What it looks like is to Put a down payment on a house.
Lunchbox
Yes.
Bobby Bones
So she's gonna have a place to live and possibly have it be her own. And they were like, she's lived here and lived for us for so long. This is what we feel like. We should do a pretty cool story there.
Big Lone
Great.
Bobby Bones
They got. Maybe they help out with a couple mortgage payments, too.
Lunchbox
Yeah, sure.
Amy
Love your neighbor.
Lunchbox
Few gift cards here and there, too.
Bobby Bones
Uber Eats Eddie gets some good UberEats cards. Maybe get her one of those. Why not, buddy? Great story. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good. Bones Wake up. You wake up in the morning, then you turn the radio on, and the dial just keeps on turning. His wigs. Next bit, and Bobby's on the mic. So you know what this is? Let's go over to Amy and get in the morning corny.
Caller / Eddie
The morning corny.
Amy
What do you call two eggs living together?
Bobby Bones
What do you call two eggs living together?
Amy
Co existent.
Bobby Bones
Oh, it's coexistence.
Caller / Eddie
That was the morning. Morning Corny.
Bobby Bones
Happy New Year.

Bonehead Story of the day.
Jim
This story comes to us from Scranton, Pennsylvania. A couple buddies were hanging out on a Friday night. It's about midnight. One guy goes, hey, man, I'm gonna cook some potatoes. You want some? He's like, no, I don't want your potatoes. The guy took the frying pan and started beating him over the head with it, saying, what? My potatoes aren't good enough for you? My potatoes aren't good enough for you? Then he fled the apartment, but he didn't get far because he forgot to put two shoes on.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I'd imagine there's some substance here.
Jim
They believe alcohol was involved.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I believe that the potatoes weren't.
Lunchbox
Good enough for him. Like what?
Bobby Bones
Maybe he didn't like potatoes. Look, that could be it.
Jim
Okay, I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead Story of the day.
Bobby Bones
Amy and I were talking right before we came back on air, and I was like, hey, we went to dinner last night at this place called, like, Ulan. What's it called?
Whimsound Ad Voice
Ulan.
Bobby Bones
So I hadn't heard of it either, but. And so we go, and I order this gnocchi, which I've never been quite sure what gnocchi is. I'm pretty sure it's potatoes at this point.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But it feels like a noodle in your mouth.
Amy
It's like a potato pasta.
Bobby Bones
It's like potato on your plate, noodle in your mouth. Wow.
Amy
Yeah, it's so. Gnocchi is so good.
Bobby Bones
Well, and I didn't know if gnocchi had meat in it, and it didn't. I learned last night. But I looked at the menu, and it was a little expensive for gnocchi because most gnocchi is. I get Olive Garden. I'll be honest with you. That's how I usually roll. I get the gnocchi with. With some meat. Olive Garden. And so they bring it, and they're like, oh, we're gonna get you. We're gonna put some truffles on this. It doesn't. Truffles.
Amy
They don't do it.
Bobby Bones
They do nothing for me. Like, you just don't taste them. It looked like they were putting tree bark. And I'm sure if you're a truffles fan, it's amazing. But they're like.
Amy
They sprinkled it on.
Bobby Bones
They're like.
Amy
Or shaved it.
Bobby Bones
Shaving it. Oh, and Caitlin's like, that looks be. I just don't. For me, I just. I guess I'm not sophisticated enough to love a truffle. I love truffle chocolate truffles. Oh, yeah, those are good. Those are good.
Big Lone
Yeah.
Lunchbox
That's not what they're shaving on there.
Bobby Bones
And that place was really good. It's just the truffle thing is weird to me. But we ate it, and it was. It was good. It was good food. We were out probably way too late last night. 8, 45 or so. Oh, that's way. Hey, listen. That's way too lazy nowadays. It was a really good place to eat, though. And it had been a while since we got to go out and just have dinner and talk and, you know, not worry about the kids.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Yeah, of course.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Amy
Get away from the house. You need that sometimes if you're a new listener. Bobby doesn't have kids.
Bobby Bones
Okay, that's what's up. Morgan, what's on the podcast today? Eddie and Abby are going skydiving.
Amy
So we talked to the army golden knights, you know, about how it's all gonna go.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And they were like, 50. 50. They live. Let's be honest, that was kind of their.
Lunchbox
Kind of were.
Big Lone
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
But they said they have.
Bobby Bones
Only one of them gets a parachute.
Amy
They have emergency protocol that they follow.
Bobby Bones
So they free themselves. No, but listen to that, because tomorrow during the show, on the show, Eddie and Abby are gonna skydive. We'll see how that goes. So. Yeah.
Lunchbox
What do you mean, we'll see how that goes?
Bobby Bones
We'll see how it goes. I've never done that live on the air before.
Lunchbox
Like, like, it's gonna be fun.
Bobby Bones
There's a lot of things. One, will you live? Two, will both of you live right? Three, will the signal cut out when you're in the plane? I don't know.
Lunchbox
Okay. I don't know.
Big Lone
We'll see.
