Caller Jason
Good morning, Bobby. Good morning, studio.
Caller Eddie
Morning.
Caller Jason
I understand that I married an amazing woman. All right? My wife is next to none. But I have learned in my life and in my 12 years of marriage that whenever it comes to gifts on Valentine's Day, I don't get her anything. And the reason I don't get her anything is because if I'm only getting her something on Valentine's Day to show her how much I love her on February 14, only I'm not a great husband. I get her stuff all throughout the year just to let her know how much I love her, let her know that she's adored every day, 365, 24. 7.
Bobby Bones
I mean, that sounds great in theory, but I get Caitlin stuff, too. But I also use Valentine's Day as a day to go, hey, this day is just an acknowledgment, like a pure acknowledgment of not every day, but let me do something I don't normally do. So.
Caller Amy
Right. So that's my question. Like, he literally does nothing.
Bobby Bones
You do nothing? Well, he loves her awful hard. The other 364 days, I don't do nothing.
Caller Jason
Her growing up, her mother's birthday is Valentine's Day, so he grew up with that being her mother's birthday. And of course, I don't. I don't want to be the guy, the one guy on the planet that doesn't do something special for his wife on Valentine's Day. So I do something just because I don't want to be that guy. But again, I guess my point is that I've learned if that's the only day that I'm doing something special for her on a day where everybody else is, too, then it's not really that special. I guess that's. That. That's just how we look at it.
Bobby Bones
Here's what I learned. I'm gonna do something special throughout the year, and I'm also gonna do something special on Valentine's Day because everybody else is. And I don't want to be the one person who's not getting that, you.
Caller Amy
Know, for years, though, like, even when you were just single and not. You all would always throw out to guys like, hey, hit her with the flowers at work, like, 13. Yeah. The day before. And really surprise her.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Because that'll get her, because she's probably expecting something on the 14th. But you can't not do it just because everybody else says. That's even worse if everybody else is getting something and she doesn't. I. I understand your point, Jason. I appreciate you calling. And listen, we all aspire to be as giving the other 364 days. That guy does it every day. Every day. All right, Jason. Have a good day, bud.
Caller Jason
Y'all, too.
Bobby Bones
All right. See you later. Christina in Texas is on the phone. Christina, what's going on?
Caller Christina
I wanted to reach out to y'all and tell y'all a funny story from my son filming as an extra in 1883.
Caller Amy
Ooh, okay.
Bobby Bones
Hey, where did he shoot that? What state was he in?
Caller Christina
It was in Guthrie, Texas, at the Four Sixes Ranch.
Bobby Bones
Oh, they shot it there at the Four Sixes Ranch?
Caller Christina
Yes, they did.
Bobby Bones
Okay, that's pretty cool. All right, go ahead.
Caller Christina
So, you know, I started watching Yellowstone in 1883 from watching y'all or listening to y'all show. And so there were about three or four boys that, you know, hung out the whole time. And they didn't really know who Tim McGraw or Faith Hill really were. So us as moms, you know, the moms had to go as guardians and keep an eye on them. And so we kept pointing them out, like, okay, there's Tim McGraw. There's Faith Hill. Like, make sure you're cool. Don't. Don't do anything that you're not supposed to. And by the end of the week, they were all so excited that they got, you know, to spend a week with them. And they just felt like, oh, that's cool. That's Tim and Carl. That's Faith Hill. And so we all started leaving after we wrapped that night at the end of the week. And Tim McGraw and Faith, he'll start walking off the set, and they're holding hands, and one of the boys looks at my son and he goes. He puts his hand over his mouth, and his eyes are real big, and he goes, oh, my gosh. Are they dating in real life?
Bobby Bones
The kids think that they're having a secret affair on set. Like, dang. All the actors do hook up with each other.
Caller Christina
Yes. So then they were just like, you know, they all thought they had this huge secret, and you would have. You would have thought they were gonna sell this story to TMZ or something.
Bobby Bones
That's funny. Well, thank you for sharing that with us. And. Pretty cool. They still hold hands when there's, you know, not a camera doing an interview.
Caller Chloe
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
That is walking. Yeah. Well, thank you, Christina. Thank you for the story, and hope you have an awesome morning, y'all, too. All right. Bye.
Caller Christina
Bye.
Bobby Bones
Let's do one more. This is Chloe in Oklahoma City.
Caller Christina
Who's on the phone, Bobby, that you were saying that you didn't really have role models for parents, and I wanted to say you did have role modeling. It just wasn't the pretty perfect role modeling. It was just what not to do.
Bobby Bones
Well, I didn't only have a dad. I mean, so.
Caller Eddie
So you know not to do that.
Bobby Bones
So I know not to have. I understand your point. Meaning I just do the opposite of everything I was shown. But. But I don't. I didn't have two parents that were just doing bad things. I kind of had a dad who wasn't there and a mom who was there sporadically. So, I mean, I guess just be there.
Caller Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Would be what I. But I understand your point. I. I don't completely vibe with it, but I. I get what you're saying. And people were like, well, you learned what not to do, so just do everything. The opposite feels like George Costanza on Seinfeld, where he went against everything that he thought. He just ran the. So I. Listen, I get it, and I appreciate that call. And. Okay. Okay. That doesn't settle me for my nervousness at eventually being a parent, but I do understand your sentiment.
Caller Christina
I also wanted to say, I personally, with my life experience, it was h E double hockey sticks. What I learned from being a parent is you learn along the way. There's no book on it.
Bobby Bones
There's actually. I've seen them for sale, like, a ton of books. Yeah, there's a lot of books.
Caller Amy
I mean, yeah, they're. They're. They're a tool, but she's right. You will learn as you go. Like, I. I can test that. I'm sure every parent in this room would say, like, they're very different type of parent from day one to now.
Bobby Bones
Well, I believe that. And follow me on this. Life's a dance. You learn as you go.
Caller Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Sometimes you lead and sometimes you follow. The thing is, don't worry about what you don't know.
Caller Eddie
Why?
Bobby Bones
Well, I told you, life's a dance. You learn as you go. Oh, okay. All right.
Caller Eddie
Good man.
Bobby Bones
Thank you, Chloe. Let's end on a positive Little note here. This is voicemail number one that we got late last night. Here you go.
Caller Chloe
Good morning, guys.
Caller Jason
I just wanted to say freaking love.
Caller Chloe
The show, continue doing what you guys are doing. I love the morning Cornies. They're super duper funny. I got a good one.
Caller Jason
Why didn't the toilet paper cross the road?
Caller Chloe
Because he was stuck in a crack. All right, guys, have a good day.
Bobby Bones
Hello, Bobby Bones. Earlier this month, my wife and I went to a new restaurant. Our waiter and the food both fantastic. I tipped my waiter what I thought was 20 bucks. Fast forward to last week when my credit card bill was due. I saw I had accidentally tipped $200 instead of 20. I was frantic and began searching for the receipt. I was able to find it in my jacket pocket and sure enough, there it was. I accidentally tipped 200 instead of 20. Maybe the beers I had during dinner made me add an extra zero. But anyway, it's been a couple weeks. Am I out the 200 bucks? Do you think I should call and explain what happened and try to have them correct my tip from 200 to 20? Or if I do, do you think the server will lose out on the tip? Thanks, William. Boy, that's drastic.
Caller Amy
Well, yeah, the server will lose out on it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. This is what I would say. If the mess up is keeping you from paying a bill, you can probably call the restaurant and have them hopefully help you fix it. If you're fine and that was just money that you were going to spend on playing golf, Starbucks, things that are not a necessity. I think you just eat it. I think if you would have caught it a day after, you could have called back, no problem. But this waiter has probably already spent the money.
Caller Amy
Yeah, I mean, I think that, yeah, you, you just have to learn from this. Next time you have a few beers, you'll be a more careful.
Bobby Bones
If this is imperative to your day to day life, Paying the bills, keeping the lights on, you got to make a call to the restaurant. If it is not, you learned a valuable lesson, a 180 lesson. But it's up to you if you're asking the question. I'm thinking that he wants it back. I'm thinking that it's not that he must have it back, pay the bills or feed the kids.
Caller Eddie
What does the restaurant do here? You think they'll give it back if he asks?
Bobby Bones
I think it depends on the management in the restaurant. I think probably they give it back, but I think who gives it back is where. Maybe the restaurant just goes here, we're gonna pay this. And they don't go back to the waiter. That's a possibility, but it's not a probability.
Caller Amy
Yeah, I mean, there has to be a lot of bars and restaurants that have dealt with this and maybe not even 200. We could be talking like thousands of people just drinking too much and being like, what up? And then the next day they're like, oh, my goodness.
Bobby Bones
And if it were the next day, I would say just go get your money back because it's understandable and the person hasn't spent the money yet. So this is my final verdict here. If you can lose the money and not be subject to creditor calling going, hey, why didn't you pay this bill? Then just lose. You lost the money if you can't call and they'll figure it out. But that's what I say.
Caller Chloe
Poor waiter.
Bobby Bones
If you get a call back, oh, I know this.
Caller Amy
Probably a tell me something good somewhere where someone's like, wow, a Nice man left $180 extra tip.
Bobby Bones
William, I think you just lost the money, buddy. That's what I think. And if you have to ask, you probably have to leave him the money. All right, William, thanks for the email, buddy. There you go. Let's go over and talk to Jim in Bakersfield who was on the phone. Hey, Jim, what's happening? Hey.
Caller Eddie
So I was listening to the storyline about the tip, and I think in this case he's out. He waited too long. Years ago, for my mom and dad's 60th wedding anniversary, there was probably with relatives and family, probably about 45 of us. We left the staff about a $3,500 tip. Within probably an hour after we got home, they had called us, the restaurant called us and said, hey, you know, did you mean to do this? And we said, yes, we did. So I think in this instance, you know, if the restaurant had called, that'd be one thing, but he's out. He's out. The money. That person's probably already spent it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I think the fact that it took two weeks to notice and that he's emailing us, he's probably going to be okay without it. Yeah. Otherwise, I do think if they're going to shut your water off, you can probably call the restaurant and say it was an accident. But that's probably not what's happening here.
Caller Amy
But even then that you still might not get it back.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I know. Hey, thanks for the call, Jim. Appreciate that. In the next segment, boy, do I have some stuff to talk about. Boy, hey, boy, do I have some stuff to talk about. I do want to talk about something that they make for women that now they're making for men. And I just want to know if any men on the show would like to have this. Okay.
Caller Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Some of the men on the show may really like to have it. It's only known for women for the most part. I mean, I guess I can never think of a man for a man, but we'll talk about that. And then also what Elon Musk is doing that could seem dangerous or amazing. One of the two. Okay, pick your poison. We'll do those two things next. Seek terms and conditions A company that does lingerie for women is doing a lace underwear for men.
Caller Amy
Amy I don't really know if I have words. I don't know what who is this for men. But you know men like so men would say sometimes the laundry, I mean the lingerie can be for the woman or the man. Like it can make you feel feel a certain way and confident and all.
Bobby Bones
The things I never feel certain ways or confident. Is there something I can wear that makes me feel certain ways and confident?
Caller Amy
Maybe this.
Bobby Bones
Wow. Maybe the cost is around $35. Many stylish colors. They say the material used is an original men's lace, which provides improved stretch and strength. The lace itself features a large floral pattern elegantly finished with images of leaves and motives. So here's the thing. I don't think they should approach this the same way they approach lace with women. Yeah, it's not about flowers and leaves. It's if you're gonna appeal to men, it's footballs and hammers yeah. Motorcycles. Yeah, that should be what the shapes are.
Caller Amy
They did say men's lace. Men's lace.
Bobby Bones
Again, it says again, original men's lace features floral patterns.
Caller Amy
Right.
Caller Chloe
Oh, we.
Bobby Bones
No, that's what we want. We want soccer balls and sonic hamburgers.
Caller Eddie
Like, if it had a Dallas Cowboy star on it, I'd be down to do this.
Bobby Bones
It would make us.
Caller Amy
Okay. Y'all would wear lacy underwear as long as it had, like, you know, your things on it.
Bobby Bones
We're not saying we would. We're saying there's a better chance of it.
Caller Chloe
Yeah, with the flowers, there's no chance.
Bobby Bones
I don't know if lace even feels good.
Caller Amy
Huh.
Caller Eddie
So I bet it breathes.
Caller Amy
Try it out. Order a pair. Spin the wheel.
Bobby Bones
Order a pair. That someone. Oh, here's what we do.
Caller Chloe
Here's what we do.
Caller Amy
Sorry.
Bobby Bones
We put all the dudes on the wheel.
Caller Eddie
Come on, man.
Bobby Bones
We spin it.
Caller Chloe
Oh.
Bobby Bones
It. It lands on them. And then we know the size we need to order. And then we order it. And the person's got to wear them for three days. Packs of three.
Caller Eddie
Okay. But not, like, model in it or anything. Just wear it and review it.
Caller Amy
Wait, yeah, and you have to, like, surprise your significant other with it.
Bobby Bones
It won't be a surprise because we've talked about it publicly now. We played a game.
Caller Amy
Oh, well, they don't always listen.
Bobby Bones
No, my Kaylin never listens. But it pops up on Instagram sometimes.
Caller Amy
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like, if we keep the club off Instagram, which, it could possibly be a surprise. So that's what we should do. We should spin the wheel. Maybe later in the show.
Caller Christina
Okay.
Caller Amy
Are y'all different sizes?
Bobby Bones
What? Okay. Assign sizes to us.
Caller Amy
Well, I. No, I don't want to. I mean, I'm sure I don't sometimes it's.
Bobby Bones
What size underwear would we all wear?
Caller Amy
You could all wear a medium.
Bobby Bones
Me?
Caller Amy
You could all wear a medium.
Bobby Bones
No, no, no. Let's talk about it.
Caller Eddie
Me.
Bobby Bones
What size would I wear?
Caller Amy
A medium.
Bobby Bones
What size would Eddie wear?
Caller Amy
A medium.
Caller Eddie
Okay, you're not playing snug medium.
Caller Amy
Eddie's not. Eddie's narrow.
Caller Eddie
Yeah, man, I'm narrow. Listen to her.
Bobby Bones
Do you ever want to be called narrow? Like, in shape, then that's okay. But narrow feels like the weirdest because.
Caller Amy
I don't like commenting on people's bodies, but I think he's narrow.
Bobby Bones
You started it by going, we're all the same size. That's.
Caller Amy
I just started it by being like, we don't have to spin the wheel to wait to order.
Bobby Bones
Okay? Let's get the wheel ready. Just the dudes, though. Okay.
Caller Eddie
Mike D in this?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Why would he not be?
Caller Chloe
I feel like Scuba wants to wear this. Like, he's one of those weird dudes that wear this. No problem.
Bobby Bones
Elon Musk has a company called neuralink, which aims to treat people with neurological diseases and afflictions like paralysis and put the chip in their brain and help them. Now, some people have volunteered to have that chip put in their brain just to be smarter, because he thinks he can do it. Now, I think the idea of being able to fix, cure paralysis is amazing. And if that were me, I would go probably, I don't know, probably go for it. But your brain, that's. That's as hardcore as it gets.
Caller Amy
I know because, like, what if, like.
Bobby Bones
One little thing goes wrong and when you start doing this, when you very first start, there are things that are going to go wrong. The company is hiring for a clinical trial director who will be working on humans. They have done studies in monkeys and pigs. They've talked about being able to download memories, not just in your brain, but in robots and stuff, too. Like, they could put all your memories in a robot. You can be like, ducky, what did I do? May 3, 1993. I'm glad you asked. You got beat up that day, Bobby. Oh, crap. But a robot could have all of it, too. My question is, if they came to you and said, hey, we feel pretty good about this, would you do a test for us and let us put the chip in your brain?
Caller Amy
Probably, yes.
Caller Jason
Whoa.
Bobby Bones
You went. Yes.
Caller Amy
Wow.
Bobby Bones
I thought I was gonna put some money in it.
Caller Amy
What about you?
Bobby Bones
No, not right now. Really? Yeah.
Caller Eddie
You wait a little bit.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we'll see.
Caller Amy
But we. We need people to. To do it, though.
Bobby Bones
You think you're an astronaut? Neil Armstrong.
Caller Amy
I know.
Bobby Bones
You need people to go to the moon, take the first step.
Caller Amy
No, that's totally different than this.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I'm surprised you said yes at this. However, this will probably be something that's normal in 20 years.
Caller Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. You of all people, why? You're just not someone I see who is interested in that. I feel like you'd like to live your life, be happy and die.
Caller Amy
Yeah. But I mean, I think if there's certain things, like, I just know how if there's a little thing they can put in my brain that'll alter it to make my body start doing other things that, like, I have robot hands.
Bobby Bones
Walking like a robot with her arms.
Caller Amy
I don't know where I have, like, I don't know if it could be a vision thing or my arm might not be working the way that it was for paralysis.
Bobby Bones
I think it's awesome. But you know it's going to eventually linger over to the normal human part. We just want to be smarter. Someone's like, I want to go on jeopardy. Go ahead, Elon, put it in there. It's time for the good news with lunchbox. Tell me something good.
Caller Chloe
A mom in Atlanta pulled into a gas station, left the car running to run inside and get a drink. Her nine year old son in the back seat. Well, when she went inside, someone jumped in the car and drove off. She's like, what am I gonna do? She calls 911 and she pulls out her iPhone and uses find my iPhone app and tracks her son's iPhone and gives the police detailed play by play instructions.
Bobby Bones
That's awesome. And I believe now we know you should always give a nine year old an iPhone.
Caller Chloe
That's.
Bobby Bones
That's what we learned here.
Caller Chloe
That's what stuck out to me. A nine year old had an iPhone.
Bobby Bones
Let's go. They all get one crazy assign that in the wall. That's the craziest part of the story. Yeah.
Caller Eddie
I can't believe he had an iPhone.
Bobby Bones
So they found the kid, they got the car.
Caller Chloe
Yeah. Because she was able to go, oh, wait, they're turning left on this street. Oh, they're over here. She came play by play.
Caller Amy
That's crazy.
Caller Chloe
Doing fine. My iPhone.
Bobby Bones
That's pretty cool. Good job. That's what it's all about. That was. Tell me something good, bones. Let's go over. I would like to talk to Rick in Arkansas. Rick, welcome to the show. What's going on, buddy?
Caller Jason
Morning, studio.
Caller Eddie
Morning.
Caller Jason
Hey, so I kind of want to touch base on the men's lace underwear.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Caller Jason
Really? What are we doing, guys? Yeah, how are you going to be a man's man wearing lace underwear?
Caller Eddie
I agree.
Caller Chloe
I agree with you. I didn't say we wanted to do that.
Bobby Bones
I don't want to do that. I think we're putting something on the wheel. We don't want to do it. So are you talking about us or are you talking about society?
Caller Jason
No, just society.
Caller Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Caller Eddie
Good.
Caller Jason
I mean, can you picture, you know, you go on a date, he's a man's man, they get to the bedroom and flowery laced underwear. Where do you go with that?
Bobby Bones
Well, what if we normalized men wanting to wear more comfortable things?
Caller Eddie
Good luck with that.
Bobby Bones
I don't know that this is going to be comfortable.
Caller Eddie
We're going to find out.
Bobby Bones
Someone's going to find it. We have next segment. We'll bring the wheel. What happened about 25 minutes ago was we read a story about how they're making men's lace underwear now, and you can order like a three pack for 35 bucks. And I don't know what it feels like to wear lace. And I asked if anyone on the show would like. And no one wanted to do this. So we're going to spin the wheel. And I believe it comes in packs of three. So whomever loses has to wear it over three. Oh, wow. I'm looking at. I mean, it's frilly lace.
Caller Eddie
Yeah. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Mike has got a picture up of it.
Caller Chloe
Oh, man. It's like see through on the back.
Bobby Bones
It's really lace. Yeah. How long until we get this in Mike? If we order it.
Caller Amy
Oh, they're out of stock.
Bobby Bones
That's okay. Well, we'll spin the wheel and we'll wait for it. Okay. Rick, as you can hear, none of us want to wear it.
Caller Amy
I mean, out of stock has to say something.
Bobby Bones
Hey, it's probably.
Caller Eddie
They probably made like.
Bobby Bones
The person who gets it is secretly like, oh, I hate, hate it. They're ordering more. We'll spin the wheel in a second. Missy in New York, you are on the Bobby bone show. Missy, how's it going?
Caller Christina
It's going just fine. Good morning, studio.
Caller Eddie
Morning.
Caller Christina
I find that so funny, the bit about the lace underwear. It comes in a pack of three, and Amy said that all three of you guys are pretty much the same size. So why don't you all three wear them?
Bobby Bones
We're not the same size, though. Amy just didn't want to comment on people's bodies.
Caller Eddie
Interesting.
Caller Chloe
She did.
Bobby Bones
Then she pulled back real quick.
Caller Amy
It's. It's stretchy. It can fit.
Bobby Bones
Who's a large?
Caller Eddie
I mean, comfortably.
Bobby Bones
Probably a large lunchbox.
Caller Eddie
Really comfortably.
Bobby Bones
And I could go big, small, or medium. Like a big. Small or medium. So we're just. I don't like to.
Caller Chloe
What is a big Small.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's like T shirts. If there's. I can wear small T shirts as long as they're on the larger side of small.
Caller Eddie
Same as underwear.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, if I have to. Yeah, if I have to. Okay. All right, let's do this. Let's spin the wheel. Whomever it lands on, we'll order the box of three laces. They'll have to wear them for three days in a row.
Caller Eddie
And they have flowers on them.
Bobby Bones
They do.
Caller Chloe
Do we need another practice spin?
Bobby Bones
Nope. Here we Go. Let's spin that wheel. Come on. Come on. It's all the guys on the show on a wheel. Oh, no. Oh, no.
Caller Eddie
Oh, no. Oh, no.
Caller Chloe
Oh, no.
Caller Eddie
Can't do, Eddie.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Eddie.
Caller Amy
I mean, it was meant to be.
Caller Eddie
My wife is gonna kill you. He doesn't want to see me in lingerie.
Caller Chloe
You never know.
Caller Amy
So did she.
Bobby Bones
But. But has she seen you before? And now you know that? No. Then how long you been married?
Caller Eddie
16 years.
Bobby Bones
Maybe this is just a spark. Yeah, to bring the fire back.
Caller Eddie
This is not good, dude.
Bobby Bones
So we'll order them.
Caller Eddie
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
We have no idea when they're gonna come in because they're out of stock right now. But as soon as they're here. What size you want, buddy? Large.
Caller Eddie
Let's go. Large, Comfortable? Large?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. You want small large or big large.
Caller Eddie
No. Yeah. Smaller. Large. Smaller. Large. Yeah. This is not good.
Bobby Bones
All right, so, Eddie Lawson. Nice job, Eddie. I was only one spot away from there. Here's a little tip for all the music fans out there. Caller Amy
Okay. I feel like it's just always a common one but like lose weight.
Bobby Bones
Show me lose weight. Number one answer.
Caller Amy
Okay, yeah, not gonna do much for me. So. Oh man, I Feel like we all wanna. Would someone answer with this? Okay. Save money.
Bobby Bones
Would someone answer with it?
Caller Amy
No, no. I, I, I, I switched.
Bobby Bones
Like, that's the most generic, general one you could possibly. Yeah. Save the money.
Caller Eddie
Yeah.
Caller Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
A lot of people did three good. Number three answer.
Caller Amy
No, I, I knew that one would be on there.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Caller Amy
This is what I went away from.
Caller Chloe
They're going back to it now.
Caller Amy
I'm gonna go back to it.
Caller Chloe
All right.
Caller Amy
Hopefully that's further down. More sleep. Better. More sleep.
Caller Eddie
More sleep.
Bobby Bones
More sleep.
Caller Amy
Sleep. Better sleep.
Bobby Bones
Better sleep. More sleep. All right.
Caller Amy
Oh, see, I took a risk because thought maybe that'd be a 10, you know?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Let's go over to Lunchbox. Lunchbox were. We had about 3,000 of our listeners. Listeners.
Caller Chloe
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Top 10 resolutions.
Caller Chloe
Yeah. This bald guy next to me, he had this resolution a few years back and he reached his goal. Pay off debt. Pay debt. No, you said save money. That's not paying debt.
Caller Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Is that even. Pay debt. Could go hand in hand, you know, but it could have been that. That have been two different ones, but it didn't. It's not that, Eddie.
Caller Eddie
I'm gonna go with working out. Working out.
Bobby Bones
So.
Caller Eddie
Has nothing to do with losing weight.
Bobby Bones
Working out.
Caller Eddie
Exercise more.
Caller Chloe
Get healthier.
Bobby Bones
I would say exercise more. Number two, working out. Exercise. Let's do that one. Healthy. Healthy.
Caller Eddie
Being healthy.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Caller Eddie
Okay, I'm on the board.
Bobby Bones
Number two answer. They get two points.
Caller Eddie
Working out. I'm gonna go with bones. Read more. People like to read.
Bobby Bones
For some reason, they like to read.
Caller Eddie
Well, they don't like to read, but then the new year, they're like, I'm going to start reading more.
Bobby Bones
They like to say they want to read.
Caller Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Show me. Read more.
Caller Amy
What?
Bobby Bones
Okay, so after round one, we're struggling. Round one of three, Amy with four points, Lunchbox with zero. Eddie with two. It is round two, so points are doubled. There are only three answers off the board. One, two, and three. To be healthier. Exercise to lose weight, which is different, by the way. We had to kind of define that because you can lose weight and not be healthy. We wanted to make sure everybody was happy with us on this.
Caller Eddie
That's a good point.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. And then save money.
Caller Amy
Yeah. Drink less.
Caller Eddie
Oh, that's good. Amy.
Caller Chloe
Alcohol.
Caller Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. That is the number nine answer.
Caller Chloe
Wow.
Bobby Bones
Worth 18 points.
Caller Amy
Okay.
Caller Chloe
I wouldn't have got that.
Caller Eddie
Me either. I never want to do that, man.
Caller Amy
I'm trying to think of what. Okay, maybe travel more.
Bobby Bones
Travel more. Number eight answer. We're 16.
Caller Eddie
What on earth?
Caller Chloe
In the World.
Caller Amy
Yay. This is fun.
Bobby Bones
Top 10 New Year's resolutions from our audience, 3,000 people. Answer, number one, exercise more. Number two, be healthier. Number three, save more money. Number eight, travel more. Number nine, drink less alcohol.
Caller Amy
Drink more water.
Bobby Bones
Drinking. She's not drinking. Show me water.
Caller Amy
Dang. That's on mine.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Caller Chloe
Oh, man. It goes hand in hand with saving money. And so I must say, eat out less. You gotta cook at home. Cook those home cooked meals.
Bobby Bones
Good one. Yeah. Cooking at home.
Caller Eddie
That's a good one.
Bobby Bones
It was a good one.
Caller Chloe
I don't understand.
Caller Eddie
I'm taking this one off of Morgan. I'm gonna go with. A lot of people are trying to find a partner, find themselves a partner.
Caller Chloe
Let's go get lucky.
Bobby Bones
All right, round three, final round. Amy with 38 points now, you can make a lot of points up here. Lunchbox. Zero. Eddie. Two. Yeah. Four, five, six, seven, and ten. Oh, boy. Big points on the board, Amy.
Caller Amy
Okay, less screen time.
Bobby Bones
Show me screen time. Oh, my gosh.
Caller Chloe
Dang it.
Caller Amy
That's what I have.
Bobby Bones
Number 10. Less time on screens or social media. Dang it.
Caller Eddie
Not good.
Caller Chloe
Besides stupid.
Caller Eddie
Yeah, me too, man. I have that too.
Caller Chloe
That's all I got, though. I went with the one of the two, and I missed it. Good game, Amy.
Bobby Bones
Well, you have to give up. Yeah, there's still points. A lot of points on the board.
Caller Amy
Have fun, have fun.
Caller Eddie
I like that.
Caller Amy
Like, do more fun, fun stuff.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Caller Chloe
He's out.
Caller Eddie
He's dry.
Caller Chloe
I'm. I'm really dry.
Bobby Bones
Be dry, Eddie. Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
Caller Eddie
That wasn't.
Bobby Bones
No. You threw in the towel and you're like, I got nothing. I'm dry. You said there aren't enough points, so.
Caller Chloe
Try get a new job.
Bobby Bones
No, it's not. It, Eddie.
Caller Chloe
I don't understand why I got without even giving an answer.
Caller Eddie
Find a hobby.
Bobby Bones
Show me a hobby.
Caller Chloe
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Number seven, answer. Yes. 21 points. Learn a new skill or hobby. Go ahead.
Caller Eddie
Let's go. Did you. Did you really turn down new job?
Bobby Bones
It's not on there.
Caller Eddie
Okay, I'm gonna go with no.
Bobby Bones
I mean, we listen to him. It's not new job.
Caller Eddie
Okay, so it's not. It's not on there. Okay, let's go with make more friends.
Bobby Bones
Show me new friends.
Caller Amy
Dang it. That was part of my have fun.
Caller Eddie
What?
Bobby Bones
Okay, stop, stop.
Caller Amy
I was thinking about. It's not part of your have fun friends.
Bobby Bones
Stop. It's not part of your have fun. That's. That's hilarious. But it's not. It Was number five. Answer. Spend more time with friends and family. Wow.
Caller Eddie
Wow, wow, wow. What's the score? Do I have a chance here?
Bobby Bones
What do I do? Let's see. Yeah, you can tie if you get these two. Okay. Okay.
Caller Eddie
I have to get two.
Bobby Bones
There are two left. There's four and six, which means 10 points times three is 30. They'd be tied, right, Mike?
Caller Chloe
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You get both these for a tie. I told you there was enough points before lunchbox quit.
Caller Chloe
But Eddie had points. I didn't. I had to leave him for Eddie. You're welcome.
Caller Eddie
Oh, thank you. I'm thinking. Yeah, Bones, let's go with.
Bobby Bones
That was nice of you, dude.
Caller Chloe
Thank you.
Caller Eddie
Such a nice guy.
Caller Chloe
New year, new me, man. More giving.
Caller Eddie
You know what? That was nice. I'm gonna say that's a resolution. Be nicer.
Bobby Bones
Be nicer. What?
Caller Amy
Give more. Donate. Volunteer.
Caller Eddie
That's being nice.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no. Improve mental health and stop smoking. There you go. With 68 points, our winners came. You can play the $20 game, which is one of three doors. You could play the $50 game, which is one of five doors, but you play the $100 game, which is one of ten doors. Great.
Caller Amy
$100 game. Let's go.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so I want you to think I have the doors all in front of me. Now, I have put behind this door, which I've drawn on this piece of paper, a magic X. You picked this door up. When I open it at this sound, here's the door open. If you hear this sound right here, you win a hundred dollars in cash. What door do you not want?
Caller Amy
Do I not want? Yeah, one. Door number one. I don't want that.
Bobby Bones
Show me door number one. Good. Oh, it's a donkey.
Caller Eddie
You don't want that.
Bobby Bones
You want that one. What other door do you not want?
Caller Amy
So that's good. I want that noise on the ones I don't. Okay?
Bobby Bones
I.
Caller Amy
This game always.
Bobby Bones
Now there's only nine left. You don't. You don't want that one.
Caller Amy
Yeah, yeah. I don't want 10 show.
Bobby Bones
Let's open 10 up. Now it's a one and eight shot.
Caller Amy
I don't want nine.
Bobby Bones
Okay, she doesn't want nine. One and seven shot.
Caller Amy
I don't want eight. I don't want seven.
Bobby Bones
Hold on. I'm trying to make my exes here. Okay, hold on. Don't push about it. So we have 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Okay, we have that block, right? Those are all online. Okay, you have 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. What do you. What do you want? You're going a little too fast.
Caller Amy
No, I know. Now I gotta pick what I want instead of what I don't want.
Bobby Bones
Now give me the one you don't want again. Yeah.
Caller Amy
Six.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Are we going all the way down till you pick two? Because if we are, just tell me. What if you're gonna pick another one of that still, it's fun. Unless you're walking me all the way down.
Caller Amy
No, I'm just.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so you have my 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Caller Amy
2. So am I picking one I don't want?
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Caller Amy
Okay. I don't want five.
Caller Eddie
Oh, my God.
Bobby Bones
So now you're to 1 and 3. Shot of 100.
Caller Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay, go ahead. So what door? You have door number two, door number three, and door number four.
Caller Amy
That I want.
Bobby Bones
No, I don't want.
Caller Amy
Oh, my gosh. 2. I don't want to.
Caller Chloe
Okay.
Bobby Bones
She kept going down.
Caller Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I was like, if you want to just take two.
Caller Amy
I know. I already had in my mind. I was just gonna guess four, so.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's good. Sorry. You didn't win anything. That was fun, though. Yeah, that was fun, though.
Caller Eddie
Come on.
Bobby Bones
It's time for the good news with Bobby. So there's this woman named Linda. She lives in Minnesota, and she's lived in the same town for, like, 20 years. She volunteers a lot in the town, so the community feels like they know her. They actually call her the mother of the neighborhood. Well, she had some hard times personally, and she did not have the money to pay rent for her place, and she was gonna get evicted, but some of the community members were like, hey, we should do something here to make sure she doesn't get evicted. So not only did they just do something to pay her rent, they actually went to an art museum. They had a fundraiser and raised enough for her to. What it looks like is to put a down payment on a house. Yes. So she's gonna have a place to live and possibly have it be her own. And they were like, she's lived here and lived for us for so long. This is what we feel like we should do. Pretty cool story there.
Caller Eddie
Great.
Bobby Bones
They got. Maybe they help out with a couple mortgage payments, too.
Caller Eddie
Yeah, sure.
Caller Amy
Love your neighbor.
Caller Eddie
A few gift cards here and there, too.
Bobby Bones
Uber Eats Eddie gets some good UberEats cards. Maybe get her one of those.
Caller Eddie
Why not, buddy?
Bobby Bones
Great story. That's what it's all about.
Caller Chloe
That was.
Bobby Bones
Tell me something good.
Caller Eddie
Wake up in the morning. This week's next bid, and Bobby's on the mic, so you know what? This is this is the Bobby Bone.
Bobby Bones
St. Eddie stole Lunchbox's bike for another one of these stupid reels.
Caller Chloe
Yes, he is so.
Bobby Bones
Your reels are so annoying.
Caller Chloe
So annoying. Stupid.
Caller Eddie
Well, after the whole, you know, like, oh, you can't use my name and likeness, I was like, this is even better. I'm gonna just run with this all week.
Bobby Bones
So he took your bike? He rode to work.
Caller Chloe
I ride it to work, and I go out to leave and my bike's gone. And I'm like, what in the world? And so.
Bobby Bones
Oh, is he filming you looking for your bike? That's funny. Yeah.
Caller Eddie
See what I'm saying?
Caller Chloe
No, I don't know. He's filming me. And so then, of course, that's why.
Bobby Bones
The prank is a prank.
Caller Chloe
And then I had to go out in the garage and look through all the cars and all this stuff in the garage. And I find my bike, and I'm getting on it, and Eddie comes running out with his camera. He goes, oh, did you find your bike?
Bobby Bones
That's pretty funny. That's pretty funny.
Caller Eddie
Come on, you gotta get creative with these reels.
Caller Chloe
Okay, so now next time I'm just gonna steal his car.
Bobby Bones
I like it. Or his kids.
Caller Chloe
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I mean, when he goes home, his kids are gone.
Caller Chloe
I mean, it's so funny. I'm gonna go park your car at the McDonald's down the street. Got you on a reel.
Bobby Bones
And you're real. The fact you want to do all these reels for Instagram and make it so you can get paid a nickel, it's so annoying.
Caller Eddie
More than a nickel.
Bobby Bones
But you're just so annoying with this.
Caller Eddie
Okay. I love doing it, dude.
Bobby Bones
Hey, but that one.
Caller Chloe
Here's what's funny. And then he decided, I'm not gonna post it. It's not that funny.
Caller Eddie
Well, I might post in a later date.
Bobby Bones
Maybe post it today.
Caller Eddie
Okay.
Caller Chloe
But it's not even that funny. He can't see me looking for the bike because he's all the way upstairs.
Caller Eddie
It was funny. You can hear him walking downstairs.
Bobby Bones
And he goes, hear him? Oh.
Caller Eddie
Cuz I had to be behind him. I couldn't be in front of him.
Bobby Bones
All right, let's go over to Amy and get in. The Morning Corny. The Morning Corny.
Caller Amy
Where do bad rainbows go?
Bobby Bones
Where do bad rainbows go?
Caller Amy
Prism. But it's a light sentence.
Caller Eddie
I like it.
Bobby Bones
That was the Morning Corny Bobby Bone Show Story of the day.
Caller Chloe
This story comes to us from Scranton, Pennsylvania. A couple buddies were hanging out on a Friday night. It's about midnight. One Guy goes, hey man, I'm gonna cook some potatoes. You want some? He's like, no, I don't want your potatoes. The guy took the frying pan and started beating him over the head with it, saying, what? My potatoes aren't good enough for you? My potatoes aren't good enough for you? Then he fled the apartment, but he didn't get far because he forgot to put the shoes on.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I'd imagine there's some substance here.
Caller Chloe
They believe alcohol was involved.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I believe that.
Caller Eddie
But the potatoes weren't good enough for him. Like what?
Bobby Bones
Maybe he didn't like potatoes.
Caller Eddie
Well, that could be it.
Caller Jason
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Caller Chloe
I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.
Bobby Bones
Guy went to a yard sale, bought a drawing for 30 bucks. It's now being valued at more than $10 million. Oh my God. That's why these stories are wild. And it. The drawing looks like a crappy pencil sketch of a woman in a dress with a baby over her. There's some grass in the back. It looks like those real Renaissance Y kind of sketches. I'd have thought I wouldn't have bought it if I was at a yard sale. I wouldn't have bought it.
Caller Amy
I mean, does it like, do people that get lucky with this stuff, did they buy it thinking, I think this might be valuable? Or they buy it and then I don't know.
Bobby Bones
A Boston based art collector named Clifford was in a Massachusetts bookstore in 2019 when the owner asked him to take a look at a drawing purchased by a friend. So like, all right. The book seller told him the drawing had been purchased for 30 bucks by a friend of his. Might be a Durer original. The guy's name is Albrecht Durer. The old. Yeah, you know, the old German renaissance artist. But 30 bucks? Bought it at a yard sale because I thought it would. They don't know the background of why he bought it. But worth $10 million?
Caller Eddie
Amazing.
Caller Amy
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
Not even 10,000, because my mind would be blown for 10,000 for $30, but 10 million that is. And also who's gonna buy that too? But it's not really worth it if people ain't paying for it.
Caller Eddie
But don't they auction those at like those big New York auctions?
Caller Amy
So thereby's.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I don't know if It'll go for 10 million though. Wow. I put 100 on it. Bye, everybody. The Bobby Bones Show. The Bobby Bones show theme song written, produced and sang by Reed Yarberry. Caller Missy
I think a lot of people think that you're supposed to be going to therapy once you're, like, having panic attacks every day. But before you get to that point, I think once you start even noticing that you feel a little bit off and you can't maintain this harmony that you once had in relationships. That could be a sign that maybe you want to go talk to somebody. There's always a benefit in talking to someone because we can all benefit from improved insight about ourselves and who we are and how we behave with other people. So if you're human, that's like a good indicator that you could benefit from talking to somebody.
