Here we go.
Bobby Bones
Come on Bobby.
Amy
Transmitting across America, this is.
Bobby Bones
Let'S go. Welcome to Tuesday Show Morning Studio Morning. More and more companies are paying people to sleep because it helps so much with scientific research. And so they're constantly posting for jobs for people to come in and sleep for either two or three days at a time. Not all in one, you know, 48 hours, 36 hours, but like eight hours a day, three days a week or here's a job, they'll pay you $19,000 if you will stay in bed for at least two months.
Amy
Physically.
Bobby Bones
Oh you can't get out of bed because this is from NASA. They will pay you $19,000 if you stay in bed. You don't have to stay asleep for two months. You just can't get out of bed. Yeah, that's impossible.
Amy
Can you?
Bobby Bones
I have a friend who did it. We had him on the show who stayed in bed for months doing the same thing right here.
Amy
They work out. Can they work out, move their bodies?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, they can stay in the bed.
Amy
But as long as your fee is gonna set in.
Eddie
Oh, man.
Bobby Bones
So they want to research how the body is affected by weightlessness, but a lot of that is just laying down. So if you can sleep like Lunchbox can sleep. He can sleep anywhere at any time.
Amy
Yeah, but can he lay that long?
Lunchbox
Yeah, I don't know if I can lay for two months.
Bobby Bones
I think he can. I think we underestimate ourselves.
Amy
We'll give you a little soccer ball.
Lunchbox
I mean, I guess I could stand up on the bed.
Bobby Bones
No, you have to lay on the bed. You can't stand up. You don't have to be touching. It's not hands on a Harley. You just have to be touching the bed the whole time.
Eddie
He jumps up from there.
Bobby Bones
As long as he's got a pinky on it, it counts.
Amy
So what about the bathroom? Do they give you.
Lunchbox
You have to catheter.
Amy
Ah, no.
Bobby Bones
You know, I think it's a deadpan, probably for both. They're not all good. I can ask my friend because.
Amy
Yes, please.
Bobby Bones
We had him on the show and he did this for two or three months and he got paid a bunch of money. I'll ask him. Hey, when you were doing the job where you had to lay in the bed and sleep in the bed, we're talking about a similar thing on the show. How long were you in the bed? Non stop. And then how did you use the bathroom? Were you able to get up? Or did you have to go on a bedpan all the time? And do they cover you with a curtain? If you could let me know, that would be awesome. Thanks, man. Boom. All right, there you go. That's story number one. $19,000 though, for two months work. Not a bad job if you can get it. I bet you can get that one.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Your kid wants a cup of coffee in the morning. Do you give them one?
Amy
How old are they?
Bobby Bones
That's a great question. What if they're 10? No, what if they're 15?
Amy
Maybe.
Bobby Bones
Okay. From the American Academy of Pediatrics, medical experts suggest children underage blank not drink coffee or Caffeinated beverages at all. Name that age. Children under the age of blank.
Amy
Okay, fine. Thirteen, Eddie.
Eddie
Solid 13. That's what I guessed.
Bobby Bones
Four.
Amy
Oh, interesting.
Bobby Bones
Medical experts suggest children under age 4 should not drink coffee or caffeinated beverages. Older kids can handle small amounts, but even then, coffee does have negative side effects on children, including insomnia, headaches, the things that stimulants do. But they throw that number four out there like anything under four. No, it doesn't say you should give your five year olds a full Starbucks run. But that is from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Amy
Okay, interesting.
Bobby Bones
Amy's now poor gold is falling out again. What?
Amy
You guys.
Bobby Bones
Gold suffered its biggest slide in four decades and silver posted a bad decline as well. Gold fell more than 12%. Amy got paid in gold once to do like commercials from the gold place.
Amy
Yeah, natural golden coin.
Bobby Bones
This is the time to buy gold, though. You guys are like, oh, like if you have gold now, yeah, that stinks a little bit. But if you're gonna buy it, now is the time to buy while it's so low.
Amy
I mean, it went up so high that like, I mean, I just got it a few months ago and it already gone up $1,000. So you're telling me it dropped 12%? So what's it down to now?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I don't have that number right now. I just saw that it failed.
Amy
Well, you can do the math. I saw something like 800 if it was at 5,000. What's 12% of that, Bobby?
Bobby Bones
I don't know. Too early. Too early. Here's a sign that your marriage might be over sooner than you want it to be. According to experts, in anybody's wedding, did they smash the cake into the face of their person? Like when you get you cut in the cake, you smash it in their face. Anybody's wedding.
Lunchbox
I did it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Oh, that's right. Lunchbox did do it.
Lunchbox
I did it.
Amy
His wife did not want him to do it.
Lunchbox
No, she didn't. But that's what you do at a wedding.
Bobby Bones
So they say when you. When your spouse says, please don't smash the cake and the other partner does it anyway for laughs, that is basically public humiliation. And experts say that it won't stop with the cake. Through marriage, that's a small sign of things to come. That means the spouse doesn't care about humiliating you as long as they get the shine. And it's fine with making you the easy laugh. I mean, I mean, that's pretty right on it.
Eddie
Sounds about right.
Bobby Bones
Do it like if you agree to do it, that's one thing. Like, hey, well, smack. But if one is like, hey, don't smack that in my face. I'm dressed up. And then you do it anyway, that sucks.
Lunchbox
Oh, no, it's called having fun. It's called having personality.
Amy
They know your partner's expense.
Lunchbox
No, no, but they know what a.
Bobby Bones
Bully says in school. It's called having fun. It's called giving them some adversity.
Lunchbox
They know your personality going into the wedding and going into marriage. They know that you're going to smash that cake if they like it or not. And you know what? It makes the wedding a lot more. People talk about it when they talk. Oh, man.
Amy
Remember that.
Bobby Bones
Never heard anybody talking.
Eddie
Remind us.
Amy
Y' all had those, like, light up things on the dance floor. That was memorable. Like, that's what I remember. Your wedding was like, the music was fun. You had the neon light up things.
Eddie
Your open bar. Dude, that was.
Amy
That was legit. Like, I don't remember a thing about you smashing a cake into her face.
Eddie
I do remember him crying at the actual wedding.
Bobby Bones
He did cry.
Eddie
That didn't.
Lunchbox
That didn't happen.
Bobby Bones
He did cry for her.
Lunchbox
No, that never happened.
Bobby Bones
I remember Ray being so drunk you couldn't get to the wedding. That was the thing. His wife feeding him at the reception because he was so messed up. Yeah, yeah. Just a little something the science says about that, about humiliation. All right, There you go. Hello, Bobby Bones. Six months ago, my truck broke down. It's going to cost about a thousand bucks. I did not have the money, but a friend stepped in and insisted that he be allowed to take care of it to help me out. I was grateful, but also made it abundantly clear that I wasn't asking for the help and I would not be able to pay him back. He went ahead and took care of it. The truck has been fine ever since. Our friendship, however, has not. Over the last month, he started bringing up, he needs that money back. It's really uncomfortable. Should someone be obligated to pay someone back for a financial favor they never asked for? Signed. Tell me something good turned bad. That's interesting. If you definitely said, hey, I can't pay you back, that's on him. Yeah, he's coming back going, hey, I'd like that money back. But you told him up front, I can't pay you back. I'm not going to pay you back. You don't have to pay him back. That was more like a gift fix. That he did. And you don't Pay somebody back for a gift they gave you.
Amy
Yeah, I find it really odd that the person was insisting and was like, no, I got you. And if they heard you saying, hey, react. That they would circle back and then ask for the money.
Bobby Bones
Probably they were at a place where they thought they probably wouldn't need the money again. Now they need the money for something like, where can I get the money? It's like, oh, yeah, I helped him out. Probably didn't have the intention of going to get the money back, but then got themselves stuck in a little pickle financially, and now they're trying to find where they get the money back. But you don't owe him the money back. Now if you have 100 bucks something, you give 100 bucks to him. Be like, hey, man, I don't have it. I told you I didn't have it. I super appreciate it. I can give you 100 bucks. That's all I got. Like, there's a way that. But you don't owe him anything because you told him up front that you couldn't pay him back. This friendship might be over.
Amy
Yeah, this is weird.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, this friendship might be over because if you say, I can't pay you back, he's now going to have resentment towards you for not paying him back. Unfairly, you have it towards him because he said he wasn't going to ask for it and then asked for it. That's gonna be a. A tough snow pile to plow out of. You know what I mean? Yeah, good luck with that. But we say as a group, you do not owe him the money back. There you go. Close it up. This woman gave birth during her work shift at FedEx. And you're like, dang, she knows. Coming. She didn't know she was pregnant.
Amy
Wait, what?
Bobby Bones
An Iowa woman. Shift at FedEx ended in a shocking surprise when she gave birth at work. So that's the first. Wow. But she didn't even know she was pregnant. On January 26, she was finishing her shift when suddenly she felt sick, went to the restroom, realized she was in labor. Unable to move, she called for help. First responders from the fire district arrived, and the baby boy was born on the facility floor at 8:33am his name FedEx.
Eddie
No, I'm kidding.
Bobby Bones
I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
Eddie
I'm kidding.
Bobby Bones
He weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces, 19 inches. Was taken to the hospital, reported to be healthy. She said she had no symptoms of pregnancy, but she's been pregnant before, so she knew what it was like to be pregnant. She did not know at all. She said she even gained very little weight. To gain very little weight and to have basically a seven pound baby, that's crazy.
Amy
That's really crazy.
Eddie
You think she's making that up?
Bobby Bones
No, because I don't think you have a baby on the floor at work.
Amy
What happened with my friend that had a baby that didn't know she was pregnant? She still was getting her period the entire time. And they said she had a. A deep set uterus.
Bobby Bones
Yep.
Amy
So it sits further back than other people. So she wasn't sticking out as much in the front.
Bobby Bones
That's crazy. How much that baby weigh your friend had?
Amy
I don't remember.
Bobby Bones
This is a full six pound, eight ounce baby.
Amy
I don't think the baby was that big. There's a story in Florida of this white couple and they did in vitro fertilization and then they got the wrong baby.
Bobby Bones
Black baby came out.
Eddie
No way.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Here, play the clip.
Amy
So Stephen Mills and Tiffany Score are suing Fertility center of Orlando after their baby born on December 11th didn't resemble either parent. Genetic testing confirmed the shocking truth. The couple's attorneys say they love this baby girl. They want to raise this child, but are living in constant fear that another family could step forward at any moment and claim the baby. The couple says they're desperate for answers. Who are the biological parents of their daughter? And was their own embryo implanted in another unsuspecting couple?
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's crazy. Oh, I think that's crazier than the first one, cuz I've never heard of this one. I've heard of the first one happening before.
Eddie
Yeah, this one's crazy.
Bobby Bones
So.
Amy
Yeah, and like I was thinking too, if the baby had come out.
Bobby Bones
I'm going tell you what I'm thinking.
Amy
Looking.
Eddie
What?
Amy
No, no, hold on.
Eddie
Thinking.
Bobby Bones
Baby comes out and it's if. If I have a white wife and I'm white and it comes out black or Asian or Hispanic, I'm like, who. Who is she with?
Eddie
Right.
Amy
But this is in vitro.
Bobby Bones
No, I hear you.
Eddie
I'm still thinking like, yeah, bring me that dude.
Bobby Bones
Where is he? Y. Yeah. Who did it?
Eddie
Yep.
Amy
Okay. But also what's crazy is if you, if you, if the baby had come out looking like them, but still there could have been a mix up, they would never question it at all. And it might not even be their kid. But because there's obvious signs here, you.
Eddie
Know, so when you have this, like, is it sample and sample and they put it together, how does it work? Like, could the samples get mixed up in the lab somewhere.
Amy
The embryo was clearly mixed up. Like they implanted embryos that were not theirs.
Eddie
Right. So I'm saying, like, if someone in the lab trips over some tubes and.
Bobby Bones
Oh, they go, there's a banana pill on the floor as they're walking with their. Yes, yes, yes.
Eddie
Could that happen?
Bobby Bones
I don't think it's that. Listen, like, Amy's saying what I would think, if you're asking me to assign a theory, it's that the full. The full embryo was meant to be put in person A and it got mixed up and put in person B. So that means person A got a diff.
Eddie
Yeah, we got to label that.
Amy
Well, I mean, but we hear the stories of like, oh, you're sorry, your right leg was supposed to be amputated, but we did the left.
Bobby Bones
Like, it's one many things to me, when I had ankle surgery to make sure that wouldn't happen. Yeah, because they did, like four layers. Put it on the. Put it on the other foot. Make me say rote on the foot. Don't do this one.
Eddie
Probably because of all those stories.
Amy
Yes. I mean, there's a reason why.
Eddie
So are they keeping this baby?
Lunchbox
That's what I was going to say.
Amy
They've already bonded with the baby.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but then don't you wonder where and who. And maybe that embryo was never implanted in anybody. There's. So there may not be another baby out there, because I don't think there's two people both at the same time waiting for an embryo and the two people walk in the wrong room. I think they might have, for lack of a better explanation, just grabbed the wrong one and put it in the person that was ready for it.
Amy
Yeah. I mean, they've said, like, legally and morally, they want the baby to end up with their biological parents.
Eddie
If there's a black couple that gets a white baby, could you be like, all right, safe to say switch. This is the switch.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but I don't think it was a same time type thing.
Amy
But they have to have all of the. What I mean is they have the, the data of the mom and the dad that donate. They just have to. Don't they just test the baby and then they'll be like, oh, we can figure out the parents.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but the mom, they may not want the baby. They could have the embryos, like, in for five years from now. Like, they could have saved their eggs.
Eddie
And this story is crazy.
Amy
I think you would. You're like, I'd be like, wow, Maybe.
Bobby Bones
You'Re sick, maybe you can't take a baby right now, but you're saving.
Amy
I see your point. Now I would just be thinking, like, wow, it's like a surrogate.
Eddie
There's a lot to think about.
Amy
Yeah, there's a lot. I guess it's far more complicated.
Bobby Bones
This in like the anonymous inbox. We just. Just assign something to it and ship it off.
Amy
Oh, this is so crazy.
Bobby Bones
I think they. Listen, if I'm the judge and it comes to me and I'm the judge of life, it's now your baby until.
Eddie
You can prove otherwise, right?
Bobby Bones
Like, until there's no proof.
Eddie
What if, like, your DNA somehow shows that your baby is somewhere else with it?
Bobby Bones
You're gonna have to test your baby and they're gonna have to test. I'm not chasing that. Those tests.
Amy
Oh, wait a second. A lawyer for the clinic says that it's privacy issues with genetically testing other babies born to patients at the clinic. Well, I think this. You need to waive that.
Lunchbox
How much?
Bobby Bones
But everybody has to waive everything.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You can't just say you have to waive that. I think they get money to raise a kid from the clinic and they keep the baby. Dang.
Eddie
Because even the baby's gonna want to.
Bobby Bones
Like, at some point. And I think you can do that later.
Amy
So back in 2024, this same clinic was fined for by the Florida State Board of Medicine because a routine inspection found that equipment didn't meet performance standards. So that was.
Bobby Bones
I don't know if that's going to affect anything. Well, they just might not have upgraded their.
Amy
Their labeling equipment.
Bobby Bones
Microsoft, you know, and I got. I got seven of those. Every time I open my computer, it's like, I'm not updating everything either. I hear you.
Amy
It's a crazy story if you're fined in 2024. She had to get implanted in 20. Well, I don't know when this baby was born.
Eddie
Dang.
Bobby Bones
Justice for the baby. It's got two parents that love it and want it. Case closed. Case closed. That. That's their baby. And also you have to pay now $20,000 a month in support for the first 10 years of the baby's life.
Eddie
The company does.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Promotional Announcer
$20,000 a month.
Lunchbox
That's about right.
Eddie
I like it.
Bobby Bones
Why? It's 250. $250,000 a year.
Eddie
Are you saying that's too little?
Lunchbox
They need to pay a lot. A lot.
Bobby Bones
But for the first 10 years. So you're talking about. That's ends up being a few Million bucks.
Amy
Okay.
Eddie
I mean, that's amazing. I take that right now.
Bobby Bones
Why were you g. Well, I guess I wasn't.
Amy
I was just thinking, like, they would need way more over time.
Bobby Bones
But a month? 20,000 bucks a month.
Eddie
A month?
Bobby Bones
But how a month? What's the total? We just keep yell for the first 10 years.
Amy
I know. What's the total per month?
Eddie
Don't look at me.
Amy
Like, how many millions of dollars is that?
Bobby Bones
10 months is 200,000. So you add the two, that's 240,000. So you can just make that 250. So four years will be a million. Eight years will be two million. 10 years will be two and a half million dollars.
Eddie
Give it to me.
Bobby Bones
That's quick math.
Amy
I know, but I think they need to pay more than that.
Bobby Bones
Okay, well, you're not the judge. I am. Case dismissed.

Sign up to get 10 off@betterhelp.com Bobby that's BetterHelp H E L P.com Bobby on the Bobby Bones Show Now Blake Shelton, how did you get on the Voice?
Blake Shelton
I got on the Voice because, well, I had done a a couple of shows before the the Voice. One Nashville Star I did one season of Nashville Star, which was on the USA Network, which was under the umbrella of NBC. And then I did another NBC show called Clash of the Choirs, which was just one they did one season. It was like one Week holiday special they did, and it was me and Nick Lachey and Kelly Rowland and Michael bolton and Patti LaBelle. And when I did that, I certainly was, at best, you know, probably a B level artist in country music. But as you know, you get on TV and all of a sudden, you just are in front of so many new people. And so some executives at NBC had caught their attention. And so then I was on NBC's radar. But that's still only part of the reason I was asked to be on the Voice. The reason I really got on the Voice is because Reba turned it down. And I was being managed by Narvel Blackstock, who was managing Reba and was married to her at the time. And Reba said, you know, she didn't want to. The only other show like that was American Idol at the time. And that was back when, you know, I think Simon and those guys would kind of, you know, give people a hard time if they sucked. And so Reba didn't want to be that, you know, on television, which is understandable. And. And so. And even though that's not even what we did on the Voice, Reba just passed on reality television, basically, I think. And they said, well, if she's on, dude, who else do you manage there that we might be interested in? And. And he mentioned, well, I have this new kid, Blake Shelton. And it rang a bell with Clash of the Choirs.
Amy
Blake Shelton.
Blake Shelton
Yeah, exactly. I think that was actually said, like, what are you talking about? The guy from that Mr. Choir. That's right. And so it at least gave. They were like, all right, well, we do know who that is, you know, and at that point, the offer came in, you know, they had. Had already Christina Aguilera signed up, and that's all I knew of at the time, but I. I pushed back a little bit at first, and then finally, I think, you know, somebody in my life was like, who. Who do you think you are? Like, you got this opportunity to go be on the show with Christina Aguilera. Like, it's Christina Aguilera. If she's doing it, then who the hell are you to say no, you know? And it's like, you're right. Okay. I don't know what I'm thinking. And so we did it. And I remember that was when I met Adam and CeeLo, and Adam and I quickly became friends. We had the same kind of sense of humor, you know, and we both thought the show was just the dumbest. The dumbest sellout thing, you know, we could ever do, especially Adam was super worried about that part of it, you know, like looking like a sellout or whatever. And. But we both thought, you know, it. It probably wouldn't last anyway. And so let's. Let's do it and have some fun. And then next thing we knew, you know, it became this huge part of our lives. You know, it changed. Changed my life forever.
Bobby Bones
Did you find that it helped your music a ton?
Blake Shelton
Yes. Meaning just put it in front of so many more people and. And so when I say help my music, it helped it sell and. And helped my momentum, you know, at country radio. You know, all of a sudden it was like I had momentum that I'd never had before, you know, which was crazy to me, you know, because I remember before the Voice, you know, we would release a single and I was very inconsistent as far as, you know, what worked and what didn't work at radio. You can. It's fun to think about it now. It's like, you know, it came out with Austin, which is this huge record and in my follow up song that barely crack the top 20. And then we came with O Red and got a little momentum back and. And then had a few misses and. And it wasn't until the Voice that, you know that we had a run there probably 10 years, or maybe not quite 10 years, maybe seven or eight years. It's just every single we put out was a. It just automatically. The people didn't even listen to it. They just put it on the air. You know, I was. Just had that kind of momentum for a minute there. You know, was it weird to be.
Bobby Bones
A different level of famous? Because for me, when I started to do television, it was just different kinds of people that never recognized me were now coming up to me. But you was even a different level. Did you start to notice that in your life?
Blake Shelton
Yeah, it was immediate. You know, as soon as the Voice started to air and there's a difference in being on TV and then being on a.
Bobby Bones
A hit TV show, prime time hit show. Yeah.
Blake Shelton
It was all of a sudden like, oh, now I know how if you don't have thick skin, I know how people lose their minds and, you know, freak out and. And these can't probably handle that kind of scrutiny, that. That many eyeballs, that much attention. You know, I liked it at first. I thought it was. I thought it was fun. I couldn't believe, like, you know, there was a paparazzi guy waiting outside our gate and. And. Or tried to go through an airport or whatever these people were follow taking pictures and Stuff. And at the time, you know, right when I did the voice is also right when Miranda and I got married. And so there was this extra layer of it just kept piling on, more reasons to have more attention, you know, and, and then it became, you know, not so fun after a few years of that and you kind of revert, start not leaving the house as much and you reconsider, like, well, I wanted to go to the store, but not today. You know, just send somebody else to go get whatever you need. And then, and then now I've kind of stayed that guy. You stayed ever since then? Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Something we've talked about before is if you get a bunch of money and it's not your money, like on your check or direct deposit, do you keep it? Do you tell the company? So this happened to a guy and he got $1.1 million and he wouldn't give it back. So here you go. They deposited $1.1 million into his account and he refused to give it back. He was ordered to give it back and he refused. So a judge, he went to court and a judge told him, listen, you can either send the money back and I'm going to dismiss this case to the bank or you're going to keep the money. 1.1 million, but you have to go to prison for one year. What do you do there? You got 1.1 million handed to you. You can go to jail for a year and you get to keep the money or you give it back in, we start over. Nothing.
Amy
Amy, I, I am not going to jail.
Bobby Bones
No jail, no.
Amy
There's no clue what will happen to me in there. And so I can't determine whether or not that's worth a million when I get out.
Bobby Bones
Christopher Gambon, 46, was a tick tock that I saw this on Lunchbox. 1.1 million. Let's say our company puts 1.1 million in the bank. It goes to court, you don't give it back. But they say you can go to jail for a year to keep the money.
Lunchbox
I'm a millionaire. I'm going to jail. Like I'm going to be at one of those low, low security jails. It's going to be a powder puff prison. They're not going to put me in like solitary confinement. So for a million dollars, 365 days, I can make it 365 days to be a millionaire. Put me in jail.
Bobby Bones
I bet you you don't get white collar prison for this. And you probably don't go to the penitentiary you probably stay in, like, county jail.
Amy
They do that for a year.
Bobby Bones
It's a long time.
Eddie
And that still doesn't sound fun.
Bobby Bones
No, it's not.
Amy
I feel like you're gonna get bust out somewhere.
Lunchbox
Well, it's not gonna be fun, guys.
Eddie
You said powder puff, dude.
Bobby Bones
You made it fun. You can't pick your prison, okay?
Lunchbox
It's tough to be a millionaire. Like, it's hard work to be a millionaire. And I want to be a millionaire. I would go to jail for one year.
Amy
You would miss, like, memories with your kids.
Lunchbox
One year, guys. One year. It would go by. Like, just think about how quick a year goes by.
Bobby Bones
It's like, I paid you a million dollars to just be locked in a box with a webcam.
Lunchbox
Well, a box, like lunchbox in a.
Bobby Bones
Box for a year.
Eddie
That's your sell, dude.
Lunchbox
No, because I get to go out.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, you get to go out to the yard.
Lunchbox
Oh, that's fine.
Bobby Bones
Maybe my backyard. And then you just get to go out for like 15 minutes.
Amy
Yeah. We would build a jail.
Bobby Bones
That's what I'm saying.
Eddie
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Over a million dollars.
Bobby Bones
You'd be in it for a year.
Lunchbox
For a million dollars.
Eddie
You have to do it, dude. It's a great investment.
Amy
Yes, great. Yes, yes, yes.
Eddie
But. And no visitors, right?
Lunchbox
Oh, you get visitors.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
You ever been in prison?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
No.
Eddie
Now?
Bobby Bones
No.
Lunchbox
They get to go visit their family on Sundays.
Bobby Bones
No, that's not often prisons. Conjugal prisons aren't.
Lunchbox
Yeah, it's very rare.
Eddie
No idea.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's just. Are you volunteering that.
Lunchbox
That was a little weird.
Bobby Bones
Amy speaks conjugal, right?
Amy
No, I don't want anything to do with that. But I'm just saying, like, I don't know. Yeah, Yeah. I don't know the rules for. If you go to jail for taking million dollars, which that's honestly four hours.
Bobby Bones
Of visiting time per month.
Lunchbox
It's not bad.
Amy
That's not that much. Four hours a month.
Lunchbox
That's an hour a week, guys.
Eddie
No.
Amy
That seems really sad.
Bobby Bones
Eddie, Would you do it for a million bucks?
Eddie
Go to jail?
Bobby Bones
You gotta go to jail. You're going to county prison right now. Yeah. I mean, so it's not comfortable.
Eddie
I'm assuming it's gonna be the worst. I don't care. The only reason I'm gonna say no is I don't want to miss a year of their life. These are four. I have four boys.
Bobby Bones
But that's. That's one of the big reasons you're gonna miss a year of stuff.
Eddie
Like, I have four boys. I'm gonna miss a year of all their lives. I don't. I don't like it. And I feel like I could, you know, like the money thing, yes, it'd be easy, but it's a hard decision, dude. But I'm gonna say no.
Bobby Bones
So if I were to break this down, let's look at it per day.
Amy
What's crazy is how much is it to keep someone locked up for a year? What's the cost of that? Because I'm like, now this guy gets to keep a million, and we're having to pay for him to go to jail.
Lunchbox
That's right.
Eddie
Nothing about that.
Bobby Bones
That's paid. But he is doing something that is considered against the law. So, I mean, he's.
Amy
I know, but they should just make him give the money.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah. Give the money back and go to jail.
Amy
Right, because you're wasting everybody's time and money.
Bobby Bones
Like, every day that you are in.
Eddie
Jail is what you're making.
Bobby Bones
$3,013 per day.
Lunchbox
Oh, my gosh, dude.
Eddie
But think there's gonna be some bad days in there.
Bobby Bones
Now, that's if you do 365 days. If you do per workday, 260 days. The average number of work days. 4,230 days a day.
Lunchbox
Yeah. What are you talking about, Eddie? You would do it.
Eddie
There's gonna be bad days.
Lunchbox
There's bad days in the real world, too.
Bobby Bones
That's a good point.
Lunchbox
There are bad days, bad days out here, man.
Eddie
Like this.
Bobby Bones
Okay, $91,000 per month.
Lunchbox
91. Dude, you talk about wanting to make money, dude, your kids, you buy them all brand new cars when you get out.
Eddie
I'll tell you what I would ask them. I would ask them like, hey, guys, here's the situation. Like, what do you want me to do? You. You want me to go?
Amy
You're going to ask an underdeveloped brain that has no idea how life works.
Bobby Bones
Bring lunchbox out of this. Take him out.
Amy
No, no, I'm talking about his K.
Eddie
That's funny, dude. Underdeveloped brain.
Amy
Eddie's tiny children, which they don't have a grasp of, like, money and time. Of course, they're probably going to hear a million dollars.
Lunchbox
Exactly. Oh, yeah, they're going to say, go, man.
Eddie
But you could break it down to, like, remember. You remember the second grade? How long that was? That's how long I'll be gone.
Amy
So I googled, is there bad inmate behavior in a county jail?
Eddie
Yeah, of course there is.
Lunchbox
There's bad behavior in every jail.
Amy
Like, well, I mean, but there's also Rikers and then there's county jail. It's a big difference.
Bobby Bones
Rikers. And then there's where the, the stole all the money, lived here in town.
Eddie
Oh, yeah, Chrisley.
Bobby Bones
The Chrisley's one. Yeah. Like golf and.
Amy
Yeah. Marcus Stewart. Yeah.
Promotional Announcer
Man.
Eddie
You may not come out the same, though. Like, that's, you know, people go to jail and they come out differently.
Lunchbox
Correct.
Bobby Bones
Two million.
Lunchbox
You're going to be a millionaire.
Eddie
Two. Two million. I'm going to lean towards. Yes on that. Two million. That's a game changer.
Bobby Bones
That's a game changer. 1.1. Not.
Lunchbox
I mean, oh, my God, you're an.
Bobby Bones
Idiot because we're not taxing this in your money, in your account.
Eddie
Oh, I'd have to have the powwow for sure.
Amy
There's no taxes.
Bobby Bones
No, no taxes on it.
Lunchbox
And just think all the videos and pictures your wife will take, you'll be able to catch up on that year in a matter of days when you get out and every week.
Bobby Bones
So I'm out. Amy's out.
Amy
I'm out.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox is in.
Lunchbox
I'm in.
Bobby Bones
Eddie, 1.1.
Eddie
I've been thinking about it. Oh, 1.1.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
No, I'm out.
Bobby Bones
1.5.
Eddie
I'm out.
Bobby Bones
1.75.
Eddie
I'm out.
Bobby Bones
2.
Eddie
I'm in.
Bobby Bones
Okay, Bones.

Blake Shelton
Wake up.
Bobby Bones
You wake up in the morning. This week's next bit. And Bobby's on the mic.
Amy
So you know what this is?
Bobby Bones
This is the Bobby Bone store. Now time for the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny.
Amy
Why shouldn't you fall in love with a pastry chef?
Bobby Bones
Why?
Amy
He'll desert you.
Bobby Bones
That was the Morning Corny Tuesday reviews day. I watched the Elizabeth Smart documentary. My wife and I watched it. It's a movie, so it's not a series. 90 minutes about the girl in Utah. She was 14 years old. She was abducted. It's not a spoiler. She lived because she's also in the documentary. At the beginning. Her face is the thumbnail, the screen cap. So yeah, yeah, it's not spoiler. Although people were very upset with Amy. They said she spoiled the documentary.
Amy
They sure did.
Bobby Bones
It's.
Amy
I was like, have you not seen the news?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's, it's. That's a fine line. If it's news and it's recent news, like 2002, I think it's really good. But it's hard to watch at times because of some of the abuse that she suffered. So that part's hard. It's really hard. But it's also really good. And she did live. And it's so recent that I think a lot of people still remember. I remember it. My wife, my wife didn't really.
Eddie
I remember her name. Yeah, I don't really remember what happened or like, I didn't remember that she.
Bobby Bones
Was taken from her house, from her room. They found the screen cut, and she was gone. And she had a young sister who was in the room with her. And she lived. And they got her back, but it wasn't like they got her back in a week. So I give it four out of five Great Salt Lakes.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
But the abuse parts. Pretty tough.
Amy
Heavy.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yep. So I did that. And then I watched season two of the Night Manager. It's been over ten years since season one, and Tom Hiddleston's in it. Season one, excellent. Four and a half. This one was really good. It also has Hugh Laurie in season one. So if you're gonna go watch season one, Hugh Laurie's in that season, and he plays like the. The main bad guy. So season one, I get four and a half. Season two, I get four. It's still really good. It just missed some of that je ne sais quoi. But it was still good. It was still good. I give it four out of five boxes of weapons. So there you go. Night Manager, season two. All right, Amy, anything to review?
Amy
Yeah, I watched the rip, which.
Eddie
Yeah, come on.
Bobby Bones
Act like Matt Damon on Netflix.
Amy
Yes. Would y' all all read that, right? I couldn't remember your scores, though.
Bobby Bones
Who cares? Just tell us yours.
Amy
No, no, really. What are we all like?
Eddie
Tell us yours.
Bobby Bones
No, tell us yours, because we're not letting. We're not affecting you.
Amy
Okay, guys, two. And that's me being generous.
Bobby Bones
You didn't watch it. You were distracted.
Amy
Two out of five bags of money. I watched the entire thing. No distraction.
Bobby Bones
No way. I think I gave, like, a four. Four and a half. You're crazy.
Amy
I watched it with my boyfriend and his sons, and we all laid there. I was dialed in. I. I mean, some parts I was a little stressed out, so that evoked some feeling. And then it was cool to see Matt Damon and Ben Affleck together. I mean, I think that's where I.
Bobby Bones
Get the two from, but the two people, the two. You're crazy. That was so much better than that. Who saw the rip?
Eddie
I did.
Bobby Bones
Me. Okay, what'd you give it? Four out of five? I gave it four out of five, Eddie.
Eddie
Four out of five.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
I think we gave it the same thing. Like money bags or something.
Bobby Bones
Did you only watch, like, the first 10 minutes?
Amy
No, I watched the whole thing.
Bobby Bones
Did you think it was a tick tock and you just swipe?
Lunchbox
Did you fall asleep?
Amy
No, I watched the whole thing. Like, it was just not for me.
Eddie
So what was so bad about it? To you, Ben Affleck.
Amy
And I mean, some of it just seems so ridiculous. Like, so ridiculous. I don't want to give anything away. Like, I have thoughts, but then I, you know, I have to monitor what comes out of my mouth so that I don't give anything away or crazy.
Bobby Bones
Okay, There you go. Hey, did you watch that Amazon new show to shoot them up? The movie? Yeah. What's it called? The Wrecking Crew. You like it? It's really good. Like as far as like a straight to streaming action movie. Like one of the best ones I've seen on Amazon.
Eddie
Is that momoa?
Blake Shelton
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Moa and Dave Bautista.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And we thought about watching it and my wife was like, I can't watch that. I said, why? She goes, because Batista was a wrestler. And I said so she goes, you made me watch Roll Rumble. And then you made me watch Unreal, the Netflix series, because I can't take any more wrestling.
Eddie
Oh.
Bobby Bones
So we didn't watch that because he was a wrestler.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
They play two brothers who are kind of strange and then their dad dies. So they get back together. What'd you give it? 3.5 out of 5 islands. That's not that high for like a streaming action movie like this. I think that's really high. Like the threshold is probably the four out of five that we gave the rip. Like, that's the best. An action movie like that could be right below that. Let me give it a two.
Lunchbox
Come on.
Bobby Bones
Saw the lead singer of Three Dog Night died. Now. Amy, do you know any songs from Three Dog Night?
Amy
Not. Not that I know of.
Bobby Bones
You will know them. I just didn't know if that rang a bell at all. His name is Chuck Negron. He was 83 years old. I know it because growing up Arkansas Keith, it's really a. Like one of the things we would bond on. It was always like the Cubs baseball in the 60s. Like, I know all about the 69 Miracle Mets and how they beat the Cubs. Oh, that's a tough one for him to talk about. And we listen to classic rock all the time. I think a lot of my. I think vast music knowledge comes from listening to Cool 95 Good Times, great oldies. And don't, don't, don't. If I were the king of the world. I tell you what I do. You know what song?
Amy
Jeremiah was a Bullfrog.
Bobby Bones
Yes, that's one of their songs.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Jeremiah was a bullfrog.
Amy
He was a good friend of mine.
Bobby Bones
That was one. And they had. Well, I never been to Spain, but I really love the music. You know that one?
Amy
It's not registering just off that. But maybe.
Bobby Bones
No, that.
Amy
I'm. That's. I'm recognizing that.
Bobby Bones
Well, I never been to sing it.
Eddie
Get it?
Bobby Bones
No, nothing.
Amy
The doo doo doo part you did.
Bobby Bones
That's the part.
Amy
That's the part. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I was going hard at the other part. And then they had another song that was like, oh, no, I've been singing too hard. They had like three hits, but. Yeah.
Amy
And what was the title of the band?
Bobby Bones
Three Dog Night.
Amy
Three Dog Night.
Bobby Bones
Did they. Was it Scuba? Did they have one? One is the loneliest number.
Eddie
Oh. Oh, that's a jam.
Blake Shelton
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Oh, this one. Mama told me not to come. Mama told me not to come.
Amy
Dude.
Bobby Bones
Didn't know where to do.
Eddie
That. Doesn't sound familiar.
Bobby Bones
It does. I'm telling you, I'm nailing them. I couldn't be nailing them harder. Would you pull up? Never been to Spain. Cause I never been to Spain. But I really love the music.
Eddie
You.
Bobby Bones
Know, I just can't sing it, I guess. I think I'm doing B minus on that. You thought maybe I was him, the lead singer. He died. He was 86 and big. 83.
Amy
83.
Bobby Bones
Big shout out to Arkansas Keith because I know all those songs from him. Shout out. And I would often gain favor by knowing the song within one or two notes because I can name them quick on Cool 95. Be like, hey, that's good. And I'd be like, dang, a father figure likes me. Yeah, that's right.
Amy
That was bonding.
Bobby Bones
That was new stepdad vibe. Yeah. Like when I had new stepdad, I was like 13 and I was like, how do I get somebody to like me? I was like, memorize songs on the classic rock station. Within two notes. I'd be like, that's the Hollies long cool woman. He'd be like, dang, you're almost my son. I'd be like, oh.
Amy
So feels weird to laugh at that, but yeah.
Eddie
That was funny, though. It's funny.
Bobby Bones
Another big announcement, although this one's happy. Luke Bryan is added to our I Heart Country Festival in Austin. So we're very excited about that. So I heart country Festival. Saturday, May 2nd. Luke Bryant is now added to the lineup. It is going to be awesome and fantastic and every other single word. You can look up@thesource.com but Ticketmaster.com to get tickets. It's going to be Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Parker McCollum, Riley Greene, Shaboozi, Dylan, Scott, Russell Dickerson, Gretchen Wilson, Chase Matthew, Lauren, Elena. It's going to be a heck of a show. That is our I Heart country festival happening Saturday, May 2nd in Austin, Texas. You should come to this. Really great tickets. You can buy them. So there's no new ticket. It's just. He's coming now. If you have tickets, you're in, right, Scuba, Correct.
Eddie
Yeah. Just the addition of Luke Bryan.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
People already bought tickets. Now you get a re.
Lunchbox
Yeah, Rebuy.
Bobby Bones
Why didn't you. It was like new tickets going. Yeah.
Amy
Re up.
Bobby Bones
All right, so Luke Bryan's going to be there. That's cool. And then today, I think is Eddie's last day of his fast.
Eddie
Oh, this is it. We've reached the finish line.
Amy
Okay.
Eddie
Which is. I do. Honestly, it's been pretty good. Like, I've proved to myself that I really don't need a lot of food, which is weird. I've never lived my life like that.
Bobby Bones
Talk us through the fast. Because the first four days were just.
Eddie
Water, coffee, and I tried red wine the first day. That didn't work, like, because it burned my stomach. So it was just water and coffee for four days. And then the last day.
Bobby Bones
Yes. Thank you, Amy.
Eddie
The last day was my son's birthday of the four days. And I had two pieces of steak.
Amy
Well, also, didn't you have bone broth?
Bobby Bones
So it was a three day fast.
Eddie
Bone broth, but that's liquid.
Bobby Bones
So it was a three day fast.
Eddie
Sure. Three day water fast.
Bobby Bones
Okay. And then you did day four fast parentheses with steak and bone broth.
Eddie
Yep.
Bobby Bones
It just sounds like a Tuesday to me. But okay.
Eddie
No, bone broth is just water. It's liquid. And then after that, I had this strict fruit and vegetables and nuts and legumes diet. That's it. Which has been crazy.
Bobby Bones
I can vouch. When we went to California because we went to interview Blake Shelton, Eddie, when he ordered chipotle, he didn't have any meat in his chipotle.
Eddie
Nope. I had lettuce and beans and pico.
Amy
So you went through the line and.
Bobby Bones
You'Re like, we ordered it to come to the house.
Eddie
And. And then. And then we had another one where I had a chicken broth. Like, I ordered chicken broth. It was crazy. And last night I had cucumbers. That's what I had for dinner.
Bobby Bones
It was.
Eddie
Dude. And I'm not hungry.
Amy
Wait, hold on. But back it up to the point of the fast.
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
How's your spiritual life?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it was spiritual to talk about that.
Eddie
Right. Because we're asking.
Amy
We're asking you well, I'm like, so in your. Since you weren't eating as much food and you had more time, was that spent in prayer? I'm asking. You're not bragging.
Eddie
I'm going to be real with you, so thank you. The, like, the only time I really had to pray because, like, I have four kids, was after work. I'd sit in my car for 30 minutes, like, that was it. And then I get home, and every dinner, I'm like, guys, I'm gonna go upstairs while you guys have dinner, and I'm gonna go pray. And they'd be like, what? You don't have dinner with us? I'm like, fine, I'll have dinner with you guys for a little bit, and then I just get busy.
Bobby Bones
You forget to pray?
Eddie
And I would pray a little bit before I go to bed, but then I was like, man, I don't have time for this.
Bobby Bones
You would do 30 minutes in your car.
Eddie
With a heater.
Bobby Bones
But a half hour is a long time.
Eddie
Yeah, dude, put the little Bible app on, and I would listen to a little verse.
Amy
Oh, that's good.
Eddie
Pray a little bit. Yeah.
Amy
So normally, what would have been your lunchtime?
Eddie
Yes. Correct.
Amy
You dedicated to sitting?
Eddie
That's my only alone time.
Bobby Bones
Did you fall asleep ever? No.
Eddie
Oh, good. No, man, I was in it.
Bobby Bones
Anytime I try to do any of that, like, meditate or if I just dedicate time to being still, I fall asleep.
Amy
Even if you just do five minutes?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I tend to.
Amy
Yeah, you probably set higher goals than that, though.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I tend to drift off. Congratulations. Hey, you did it. That's pretty cool, man.
Eddie
Good job. I proved to myself that I can do it, as.
Bobby Bones
Did you lose weight?
Eddie
Yeah, tons. I don't know how much I've lost, but, yeah, I can feel it. My pants are loose for sure.
Bobby Bones
Is that something that you want to continue doing?
Eddie
Maybe.
Bobby Bones
I.
Eddie
After. I mean, I think tomorrow I'm gonna get a pizza. Like, pizza, ice cream, Oreos.
Bobby Bones
Finish today, and then tomorrow you'll cancel it all out with one meal.
Eddie
I'm just gonna have one meal. Let her rip. And then see what happens.
Bobby Bones
Right.
Amy
Back up.

This story comes to us from Florida. There were some guys at a bus terminal waiting for the bus when one of them was taking a nap, just getting a little snooze. And someone came up and goes, hey, sir, are you okay? Are you okay? He's like, yes, I'm just taking a nap. And he took the ketchup packets he had in his hand and whapped through one wap. Threw two through three ketchup packets at the guy, and he called police cuz it got two ketchup stains on his jacket.
Bobby Bones
This is the most random story.
Eddie
Who's the bonehead here?
Bobby Bones
Is it us for listening to that?
Eddie
Possibly.
Bobby Bones
Are we the bonehead?
Eddie
So one guy throwing ketchup packets.
Bobby Bones
One guy's just asleep at a bus stop. Yeah. Okay. All good guys, like, hey, don't miss your bus. He wakes up and throws ketchup packets.
Eddie
And then the other one calls cops. The cops. Because he has ketchup on his shirt.
Lunchbox
Yeah, he has two ketchup spots on his jacket. So he's.
Bobby Bones
That word calling the cops? No, like, don't. Ah, whatever.
Lunchbox
All right, man. So the guy got arrested for assault.
Amy
Because of ketchup packets.
Bobby Bones
That's what we're saying. Amy, it's.
Amy
No, I know that he called the police, but I didn't know that he got arrested for assault.
Bobby Bones
That's crazy. Yeah, I would figure if he threw ketchup packets at him, but it's actually assault and battery.
Eddie
Oh, wow.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I think we're the bonehead for listening to this.
Lunchbox
Okay, I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day, Bones.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so the study says men that spent too much on a wedding ring ended up in divorce a lot more. So the question is, would you be willing to risk it all for the ring of your dreams? Or even bigger. Bigger ring, flashier ring. Do you want the study first?
Amy
I need the study because, like, what's the tie to it? Is it, like, so expensive? Like, he literally couldn't afford it?
Bobby Bones
The study, which took place in 2014, found that men who spent 2,000 to $4,000 on engagement rings were 1.3 times more likely to end up divorced than people who spent 500 to 2,000. I think the dollar amount maybe doesn't matter as much as the ratio. The percentage women who received expensive engagement rings also experience higher rates of divorce. That number's gone up on the rings, though, because now it's 2026 inflation. But, yeah, they say if you buy a bigger ring, and I think it probably at all compares to how much is being made.
Amy
Yeah, Like, I want relative to my partner to buy what he can afford.
Bobby Bones
Do you?
Amy
I do, I do. I don't want that. I think where we get in trouble at Times is if it's causing stress.
Bobby Bones
Okay, but what does it mean afford? Is it three months salary? You know, cuz that's just made up.
Amy
I know that's what they say. He can pay for it with no stress.
Bobby Bones
What does that mean? Did this. Does he need to have it all?
Amy
Did this stress you out?
Blake Shelton
No.
Amy
I understand that financing may need. I guess I don't really want actually, actually I don't want him to have to finance that. I'd rather him save till he's ready and then we make a decision. So then you don't enter your relationship with stress and debt. Also that what I can be like, look at my ring. That's not. Diamonds aren't that important to me. They're just really not.
Bobby Bones
Now you've been married once so you probably have a different perspective of like what, what. What's important.
Amy
Exactly.
Bobby Bones
And so what do you say to people who think man, I need a big awesome cool ring?
Amy
I would ask yourself like why do you. Why do you need it? And if you're getting pressure from her, why does she need it? You know, like I would just get what you can get at the moment and later in life if you want to upgrade, you can. But I don't want to enter my relationship with stress so that I can keep up with somebody else.
Bobby Bones
There's a lot of guys too that get painted in the corner of. I need to really go harder than I can go because I don't want her to have something she's embarrassed of.
Amy
Okay, here, here's my thoughts.
Bobby Bones
All right, give it to me. Break it down. She's gone into whisper mode, boys.
Amy
Because I too, I understand that and I don't think I would want but no offense to anybody, if they have something super teeny tiny, that's okay. I would rather just get me a really cool band like I. My mom's gold band. My sister took the diamond off it after my mom died.
Eddie
But I'll.
Amy
When I was married I would wear my mom's just gold band on my wedding finger. And my husband sometimes like where's your diamond? But to me a simple band is really can be really pretty and I would rather have that. So I mean maybe there's a compromise or something you could do that's different and unique and special as opposed to like.
Bobby Bones
What about. Because I know there's also people that judge like lab grown diamonds.
Amy
Oh yeah. Who cares?
Bobby Bones
Okay, so you don't care about that?
Amy
I don't care about that.
Eddie
I mean can you tell the difference?
Amy
No, Yeah, I think so. I mean, I don't.
Bobby Bones
I don't even know what a diamond.
Amy
I mean, I don't even think, honestly.
Bobby Bones
Like, pine limes and a crystal and a diamond.
Amy
To me, like, I've ordered different little diamond bands to layer with my. When I. When I was married and had wedding bands, I had it stackable with other diamonds. Some real, some not. Some with just bands I ordered off Amazon that I would stack to make it more of a fun, stacked, layerable thing. And some were real and some weren't. And I could not tell the difference.
Bobby Bones
What if you go with your girl and a lot of people go and look at rings with their person and she's like, I love that one. And it's just way out of your price range. I think a guy feels pressured to get that thing.
Amy
Well, shoot. I think she needs to also be considerate.
Bobby Bones
She's not, though, because she just picked. She literally just said, that's the one I love.
Amy
Does she know your finances? Like, I don't know her, but those are my questions. Like, if she picks something that's way out of your range, like, what do you do? I don't know, pick up an extra job here and there. Talk, ask. I don't know how you make that happen if it's so out of your budget. You have to either tell her or figure out a way to make it work. But then now that's where the stressor comes in.
Bobby Bones
Well, then what you have to think about, too is if you're her and if you're paying off a ring that then becomes both of you guys. Payment once you're married.
Amy
Seen a lot of girls post about that. And they're like, what the. Wait a second. Like, they get married and then they learn, like, what's this? Payment? And they're like, oh, yeah, that's for the ring I got you. And they're like, what? Now that we've joined accounts, I'm now paying for my ring.
Eddie
That's where you go like, you wanted it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. If you're a dude, you could be smart. If you're marrying a girl that has some money saved up, has a great job, go for a bigger ring because, you know she's helping pay for it later anyway, without even saying that.
Amy
Where you get real lucky is the hand me downs. The inheritance of, like. Cause I have my. When I got divorced, I kept that ring, and I still. I have it. And my thing is, one day maybe Stashira will get to use it. So lucky forever she dates.
Lunchbox
Hold on. You're gonna give her a jinxed ring for hers? That seems weird.
Amy
No, we'd reset it. Don't be ridiculous.
Bobby Bones
But also, had that ring not been given, she wouldn't even. Stisher wouldn't even be here. So I don't know that it's so jinxed.
Amy
Exactly.
Bobby Bones
You wouldn't have had your kids. She wouldn't be here without that ring.
Amy
So true.
Bobby Bones
I think that's just perspective on both of us. I think we were talking about recently.
Amy
I know, and I think that it would be more like, let's take the diamond off and reset. I mean, think about, like, when my mom passed away. That's what happened. Like my sister and her husband are. They're a perfect example. He had no money when he proposed. He went to James avery, bought a $40 band, proposed with that, and then they've built up over the years. And then when my mom passed away, we divided up a ring. I got the gold band, my sister got the diamond, and she had it set into a new setting, and that's what she wears right now as her wedding ring. Like, they've just done that sort of thing. Just wasn't a big deal to them. So I really think it's your personality and what matters to you of what to show people.
Bobby Bones
So we should judge people with big rings. I'm in.
Amy
No, they may be able to afford it.
Bobby Bones
I'm in. All right, we're done. That's it. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye, everybody. Bobby Bones. The Bobby Bones show theme song written, produced and sang by Reed Yarberry.
