So we got first of the month trivia coming up and an Amy all the time where she says if you have an important decision to make, you can ask your body. It'll tell you and she'll walk us through that. Bones. We had a guy try to scam us from India. He tried to get Amy on a podcast and it was a podcast from one of the teen moms and turns out wasn't real. But then we got her on and this is a thing. They try to scam people, then take over their screens. Amy got another message. Now, do you have it in front of you?

It could be. What if this is the member, John, who was the manager trying to get me on the Team mom podcast? What if he's mad and now he's coming back for me with a vengeance and he's going to. He's more detailed.

Well, just ask how much the honorarium is. Sam, I'm very curious about this. It's the first time I've been offered an honorarium. What is the typical honorarium? Keep using that word because nobody ever uses it. That's being offered in this situation.

The crazy thing is they're like 30 to 45 minutes of Zoom. You go walk right to the studio where she does her podcast. So just reply back and be like, I'm very interested. Let us know how that turns out.

My teenage son has been spending a lot of time with my dad, his grandpa, and I think he started kind of idolizing him. But my dad unfortunately holds some pretty sexist and racist beliefs, which he has no problem sharing. I'm glad they're bonding, but I'm worried my son might absorb these outdated and offensive attitudes. I don't want to badmouth my dad and my kid, but I also just can't ignore this. How do I address the issue with my son without disrespecting his grandfather? I don't want to make things awkward or push my son away. Signed, grandpa issues. That's a great question. I think you don't address it with your son. You address it with your dad. I think. I think you're addressing with the wrong person.

[Eddie]

You think you can change his mind, though?

[Bobby Bones]

No, I don't think you can change his mind, and I don't think. And maybe that'd be nice if you could modify his mind a bit, but that's not even the point. The point is, and hopefully your dad respects this because he was a dad at one time. It was like, this is what's important to me and my kid. Could you just not talk about these certain things? And I think that's an absolutely fair thing, and I wouldn't even be offended if I was the grandpa, but I don't think you talk to the kid. I think you talked to the. To the grandpa.

[Vanessa Marshall]

I don't know the grandpa. That's his way of thinking. He may not sound very reasonable, but.

[Bobby Bones]

It'S just like, hey, would you mind not talking politics at all? Because, yeah, he's confused. I'm sure that's what it is. A lot of his politics are like, oh, listen, a lot of all white people are racist, especially depending what part of the country you live in. And so the older you are, the more Southern you are, odds are you probably feel more of a certain way. And so it's just like, hey, we don't really believe this. I would ask that you don't talk about abc. I think. I think he gets it.

[Vanessa Marshall]

Can you have a conversation with both, like, say that to the dad, but then also to the son. Like, hey, just want you to know if you ever hear grandpa say anything about this, this, or this, like, have a talk with me about it. I think that way you can be aware because you. You don't know.

[Bobby Bones]

First of all, the answer is always yes. It's just, how do you get to the yes? The answer is yes, but I don't think you talk about it like that. I think you just reinforce the things that you do believe with your son that your grandpa made. The grandpa may talk about that may be affecting him, but that isn't taking grandpa down a notch, because you don't want to take grandpa down.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

I think you reinforced with your son the things that you hear, and he's not going in a way that you like. And it's like, hey, this is what we believe. This is what we believe, regardless of what anybody says. Then you have to talk with grandpa, and you're like, hey, just don't fight him about it. But would you mind not talking about these certain things? I think that's the way to do it. It's a sensitive situation, and you love them both, and hopefully they love you back. And I think it'll work itself out, but you got to talk about it. Yeah, that's what I'd say. Good luck, though.

Everybody loves everybody. And that's the best part about this. You got three layers of love here, and that is the absolute most positive thing. The rest you can work yourself through. It's time for the Good with Amy. Tell me something good.

So Brian Stewart in New Jersey. He was active duty in our military. He's a Marine. He was in the army for, like, almost 30 years. And now he's retired from active duty, but he's a commander of a local American Legion post, so he stays very busy and very involved. And there's a nonprofit called Love Our Heroes that learned that Brian had an SUV that would often break down, so he couldn't get places. So they knew of a Couple that had a 2010 Cadillac in perfect condition and they wanted to donate to him. Well, Brian was like, thank you, but no thank you. I have to decline the gift. There are more people that are just more deserving than me. And eventually they got him to come around and accept the donation. And the people that donated the Cadillac, they want to remain anonymous.

[Bobby Bones]

How they get him to accept it? Because I hate when someone puts me in a hammer lock as a kid. They put me in a hammer lock now. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.

[Vanessa Marshall]

So I think. Think Tammy, who runs Love Our Heroes, would be responsible for the convincing.

[Bobby Bones]

You know what a hammer lock is? No, they as a joke that I knew the guys would get, but I should have been fair with my joke. It's whenever you take someone's arm and you put it behind their back like this. Look. And you hold it like this. Now you pull it up. And you pull it up.

[Eddie]

Oh, it hurts so bad.

So I don't think Tammy did that to.

No, no, I know I didn't want.

But she did remind inclusive with my joke. You know, she did remind him that, hey, you'll be able to ride around and continue to make an impact in the lives of others in our community if you have a car that works.

This is going to prompt your body to respond. Then scan your chest, belly, throat, and jaw. Are you clenching hard? You are.

Come on. It's time for the good news with Bobby. Tell me something good. About two years ago, Yasmin of California's heartbroken because her French bulldog went missing. The dog's name was Havoc. And French bulldogs, super cool, but people steal them because they're so valuable. So she did everything. She hired people to search for it. She put up flyers. She put on social media. She said, I never stopped looking. I never stopped keeping his name alive. Havoc was found about two hours away. And again, this is from two years ago. The Havoc was lost.

Wow.

So they found Havoc and there's a chip, and the chip confirmed the identity. So Havoc is now back home. And that's awesome because I love when someone gets their dog back, but my heart hurts for that dog because somebody probably stole that dog, could have escaped and someone saved, but then Havoc became somebody else's dog. And that family's probably sad they have to give Havoc up.

But Havoc going back to its original owner. Like, I love it because Havoc was found. That's tough. That's tough, though, huh?

I've watched two movies. So I watched Craven on Netflix, which is kind of Marvel related. And it was a little bit hard for me to get through moments because there's like, lots of animal killing. This is like what he's known for. His superpower is involved with animals.

They run out of superpowers in Marvel movies. You are now the Deer Hunter. What? That. What? It's not the good side of Marvel.

[Morgan]

Yeah, it's another side of it. So I was like, I'm going to, like, try in here. And after getting through the animal stuff, I actually ended up really enjoying it. It wasn't my favorite Marvel movie of all time, but I did like it. And I. I will give it 3.5 out of 5 mean dads.

[Bobby Bones]

Craven.

[Morgan]

Okay. What's the other movie?

[Morgan]

And that's on Netflix, by the way. And then I watched Moana too. It's out on Disney plus and I don't know what Eddie was talking about. I loved it. I thought it was so good. This is a great movie.

And I compared it to the songs that were on Moana 1, which are awesome.

[Bobby Bones]

And these weren't so good enough time to spend with them. That could be it. Yeah.

[Morgan]

Yeah, it was so good. It was just as good as the first one, which is really hard for a second movie sometimes. And they managed to, like, continue this storyline. Really awesome. So I give it four out of five Little chickens.

How do you watch anything?

[Eddie]

I watched a sports documentary called We Beat the Dream Team. It's about these college kids that were like, remember, the dream team in 1992 is like magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, whatever, all that. Well, there's a bunch of college kids that were the select team, and they played them in scrimmages, basically to help them get ready for the Olympics. Yeah, they practiced against them practice together. And they beat him one time. And I was like, okay, guys, they're.

Holding on a little bit.

[Eddie]

Holding on. So I give it two basketballs out of five.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah. No way. Finally, movie Mike. Any Tuesday reviews day? I watched a movie I think you're gonna love called Black Bag. It's about these two spies. They're married, and she's being accused of treason. Oh, I like spy movies. I like treasonous spy movies, but I hate movies in theaters, though. I watch it in theaters, but you can rent it at home now. Oh, okay. And Michael Fassbender is the main guy. Oh, he's awesome. And his skill is that he can tell anybody's lying to him. Michael Fassbender, I know him from. Is he in the agency? That same guy? Is he British? He is British. I'm not sure if he's in that. All those British guys that are kind of small and ageny, they all look the same to me. That's the only thing you have to get past in this movie is the accents. But other than that, I think it's a great spy movie. It's only 90 minutes, too. So you get in, you get out. It's called Black Bag. And you can get it where you can get the pay to rent it right now. So. Amazon. Yeah, yeah. And that's what they say to each other, like, whenever they're on a spy mission and they're like, hey, where are you going today, Black Bag? And you can't ask any more questions.

So I brought in another foster dog this week. Her name was Belle. She got surrendered by her owners with her sibling. And I took her in for the week, and I'm super excited to announce that she already got adopted.

Yeah, super fast. And she's a young one. She's about a five month old, so puppies do tend to go a little bit faster. But yeah, she. She's doing really well and I'm excited.

[Bobby Bones]

So you took her and had her for how many nights?

[Morgan]

I got her last Weekend. So I've only really had her about a week.

[Bobby Bones]

And so they put her up on the Internet and it's like, hey, who wants. But do they come to your house?

[Morgan]

No, they don't come to mind. I take her to Petco and we meet up and basically they sign all the paperwork, do all the stuff, and then I pass her off. It's kind of like a, you know, drug deal.

[Bobby Bones]

Are you ever sad or are you happy? I mean, it wasn't like you were together for months. You just happy that Belle has a home.

[Morgan]

Super happy. But there is sad. I mean, she snuggled with me every night. She was a little cuddler and I think she got adjusted to her life at the house, but it was only a week. So like, there's definitely sad parts of it, but overall, just super excited for it.

[Bobby Bones]

You're up.

[Eddie]

Yeah. Mine starts off scary. We got a call from my kids school, my 6 year old, and they said that he was choking and they had to do the Heimlich maneuver on him, which is crazy. We're like, what are you talking about? Apparently he was at lunch and I guess somebody had dared him to take down a long curly fry and take down like, eat it. And like he was like, watch this. And I got stuck in his throat.

[Bobby Bones]

Oh, like swallowing a sword basically.

[Eddie]

But it was a curly fry and one of the teachers happened to be standing right by the table and he was choking. He couldn't breathe. And so luckily she knew the Heimlich maneuver got him, squeezed his stomach, he threw it all up and. And man, like, it was very scary to get that news. But I'm just so grateful that he had a teacher there and that because I don't know if other kindergartners would know what to do if they were just sitting at a lunch table and he started joking.

[Vanessa Marshall]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

Wow. One. That's scary.

Yeah.

Two. Hey, if you're gonna do, do it straight fries. Yeah, that's the lesson. Yeah, that's the. Or waffle. Waffle bad too.

What's funny is later on the week we got some fries, you know, we got some burgers and fries. Like, I don't want those.

He's off of it now.

I'm gonna pass on fries.

She's a hero.

I'm gonna do mine. So this has been a couple years ago. My wife and I had this restaurant we used to go to at least once a week. It was very close to the house and I've shared this story, but it's been a while. We had a waiter that we had the same every time. We even just sit in a section. And so we got to know him as well as you get to know a waiter. His name was Johnny and Johnny knew who I was. But Johnny never once in like our two years of eating there, said he did music because he didn't want to like be that guy is what he said. He said, I just came in, I just want to be a good waiter. And he never was like, listen to my music. I'm trying to make it. And so finally someone else had told us. It's like, hey, yeah, Johnny is leaving. It's his last day. This is a couple years ago. He signed a publishing deal. We were like, he does music. And they were like, yeah, yeah. And so we went in. He was still working there was the last last week and you know, hey, man, congratulations. I did a show in town, like a stand up show. And I said, john, you should come to the show. So I surprised him as then I had him come up on the stage and I said he just signed a publisher and he played a song, Green as could be. And he was nervous obviously, but he played a song and the crowd cheered because it was like that was our waiter. And I played a song. And so Johnny signed what they call publishing build to write songs. Johnny wrote Blake Shelton Texas.

Oh, he did what?

[Bobby Bones]

She's probably in Texas. Amarillo. All I know George Straits. So that's all Jinx it. That's always gonna be in number one. He's kind of killing it now.

I went to his Instagram just to like check on him and I started to see all the stuff he had been doing. Dude, our waiter is like killing it as a songwriter. But he came to town to write songs. He just waited tables until he like had enough people hear him and believe in him. And I think that's so cool. His name's Johnny Clawson. He didn't know I was gonna talk about him. I'm super proud of him and I hope that song goes number one. Blake could use the money too.

He goes.
