You literally write a message out and just push send later. And then you put the time on it and then it sends later.

It's been so great for me because I wake up at an odd hour and if anyone texts me, like after 9:30, I don't even see it. Maybe 10, because I go to bed. And so a lot of times I'll get a text message and I'm like, well, I'd like to respond now, but I don't want to wake anybody up with a 5am text message. So then I just forget to text them. But now if you have like the new operating system, you can go in, write the message, and then click the little plus sign to the side of it, you see where it says send later.

Wow. Okay. Yeah.

And then it gives you the time. And so I'll just set them off for 9:30. I've got like four or five every morning.

But then at 9:30, do you get a bunch of replies that would stress me out all at once?

Because they're all replying to your messages.

But you're responding to a message, are.

They going to hit you back? Because then it's like, ping, ping, ping, ping. So I'd stagger the replies.

See, I'd rather have them all at once. And also I don't even think about that because sometimes it's just a response they need. It's not a Q and A.

So I ran into a listener and she had all these questions for me about the show. And I was like, you know what? Instead of me trying to act like I know all these answers, I'm just going to ask you guys the questions she asked me, and you guys can answer for her.

So the first one was for you, Bobby. She asked, does Bobby really have all those stomach problems or is he making that up?

[Bobby Bones]

I think if I were going to make something up, it'd be something a bit more sensational than stomach issues. I do have bad stomach issues, so it could be from a litany of things. But I do have, like, crazy ibs. Who knows if I have, like, because of my surgery in the scar, I could have all kind of scar tissue in there that's causing digestion problems. So I don't know. I don't know why I've had all the tests.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

That would be a weird thing to make up.

[Bobby Bones]

I've had. I know. It's, like, little. Not that fun.

[Eddie]

I think there were just so many that she was. Oh, my gosh, is this real?

[Bobby Bones]

I know. So, yes, it's real. Okay, next question.

And then she asked about Amy, and it was just a blanket, kind of like, how's Amy doing after her divorce? Is she good? So Amy.

Yeah, I'm good. Yeah. You could answer that one, right?

Yeah, I had another episode this weekend. It's not. It's the. This one is not going away now. We think there might be some, like, neuritis that's happening in my head because anytime I close my eyes, my eyes are darting all over the place. It's a wild experience.

I'm not familiar with neuritis.

I'm not either, obviously.

Brain. Because neuro.

[Morgan]

Yeah. So I'm about to go do a whole bunch of tests to see if that's the case, but Basically, so when I close my eyes, like, you know how your eyes settle when you're about to go to sleep? Like, you can kind of feel them calming down.

[Morgan]

Mine are darting all over the place, and I feel them doing it. Well, so that's her thinking that something is going on in me neurologically that is adding to my vertigo.

Neuritis is an inflammation of one or more nerves which can affect the peripheral nervous system, nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. It is a condition caused by inflammation or nerves secondary to injury or infection, viral or bacterial. Yeah. Do you think that it has anything to do with your Covid? Because that's all you're smelling and you're. I mean, your senses.

Yeah, I definitely think it's contributing to it. I just. I don't know the connection, and there's not enough information for us to go off of to, like, connect the dots. But I do think there will come a time where, yeah, it's all. It's all connected in there.

So I quit using dryer sheets because that rash on my chest. And I now use wool balls, and they're amazing. Like, I love them, but I have all of these dryer sheets still left at my house. And so I have a list of ways you can use your dryer sheets if you, too, are making the switch.

So what have you used your sheets in this way?

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

Yeah, like, I'm starting to implement. I mean, some of them I'll just. I'm keeping, like, it in my back pocket. Like, I know I'm going to be able to remove soap scum and water spots on my shower glass when I need to.

Oh, so wipe.

Yeah. So far I've put them in the bottom of trash cans, and that's been a nice little surprise.

You've never seen little. You don't. You're not familiar with little silverfish? They're like. How do I describe them? They're sort of silver.

A grayish. They're like a little. I see them around my sink in my bathroom sometimes, but they look like a little teeny tiny oval and they sort of sliver and they have antennas.

It's. Yeah. I don't know why they call it a fish, but it is a little bug maybe.

Its common name derives from the insect's silvery light gray color combined with the fish like appearance of its movements. Not that it's a fish. So does it flop like it's out? I've never seen a silver fish.

Yeah, I would say it to me it would look like maybe it could swim in water, but it doesn't. And then this one, this will kind of. If you're trying to avoid having dryer sheets on your clothes, then don't do this one. But it will remove deodorant from clothes. Like if you put on a shirt and you got a spot on there, you just wipe it on there.

Had till it into the Hello, Bobby Bones. I accidentally found out that my boyfriend is planning to propose at a very public event. That would be my worst nightmare. It has quote leaked and it looks like he has planned a flash mob at a basketball game on my birthday. He's been planning this for months with my friends and family who are all excited to be a part of it. I know I should be grateful, but the thought of a public proposal makes me physically ill. Do I say something and crush his dreams or suffer through it to avoid hurting him? Sign proposal problems. A lot of questions. Number one, how did your family not stop him, your family or friends? Because if they know you hate public things and they're a part of this, why did they not go, hey, maybe this isn't the best idea? That would be the first question that I would ask in this. Number two, he went hard public. It wasn't just a proposal at a basketball game. A flash mob at a basketball game on your birthday. That's like the most public trio it could possibly be.

Most of the time I would say, hey, this is one of those situations where you don't say anything. He's put a lot of effort into it and just be grateful that he cares enough to put in the work. I don't think that's the case here. It's so over the top and it's gonna make you so uncomfortable. I think you can let it leak that the plans have leaked. I don't think you go and charge up to him like, I know what it is. But if you can ask one of your friends to let it leak that, hey, I think she might know. I think it all changes that way. You do not have to be aggressive in what you don't like. And it can be back channeled the way it was probably back channel to you. So I would let one of your friends know, hey, this is not for me. And I would have them go to him and say, hey, she was talking about how she kind of found out already. And then let him decide what he wants to do from there. Oh, that sucks. Imagine you hate public stuff and it's a. At a basketball game where there are people. It's on your birthday where there are people that are already there celebrating you. Hey. And then it's a flash mob slot.

That's a lot, it seems. Yeah. More so for him.

I don't like flying, and I just happen to listen to Wednesday's post show and I really don't like flying because every time I feel like the next couple days, everybody keeps talking about planes crashing and I am flying to Mexico Thursday for work event. I am trying to figure out things and ways to get out of this.

[Jon Stewart]

Because of the flight.

[Bobby Bones]

I need a pep talk to make me get on this flight. All right, I like data, so here we go. The odds of dying in a plane crash are about 1 in 11 million. The odds of dying in a car crash are 1 in 93. So did you drive somewhere today? And there's a big difference in 1 in 11 million and 1 in 93. Not 93 million, just 93. You're more likely to be struck by lightning and killed or attacked by a shark than die in a plane crash. And they can do this because they can just see how many people died in a plane crash in each country versus lightning strikes or people getting attacked by sharks. Airplanes are built with redundancy in mind. Modern planes have multiple backup systems for everything, including engines, navigations, even the ability to glide if necessary. So if your plane decides, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, the sucker can glide for a while. Turbulence feels scary, but isn't dangerous. It's just like driving over a bumpy road. Planes are designed to handle extreme turbulence without issue. And if you don't go, you're going to regret it. You're going to regret being a wimp. I hate flying. But if you don't go because of an irrational fear, and I would say this is irrational now, with all the plane crashes in the news, I understand why it's something you're not comfortable with and it continues to be reported on, why there's that's triggering something in you. But they're only reporting every little bitty one because there was one big one. And when something is in the news, they look for other news stories to put that are just like it. So people keep clicking on it. Go.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

I feel like this is a double whammy trip, though. Like, he's going to Mexico.

[Bobby Bones]

He may get caught up in the cartel.

[Eddie]

That ain't my problem.

[Bobby Bones]

He didn't ask about that. That's a whole different. If they get you in cartel. I don't have data on that one. Yeah, and we don't do that. Just let the guy go to work.

Well, it says that it's a historical highs. 26 deaths per hundred thousand people.

No, they came down on February 12th. Finally had a sunny day and I was just like, I was the last one on my street and I was still lighting them up every night. And I just looked at him and I'm like, you know what? I think it's time. And I took him down and then I took the Christmas tree out of the living room and put it out by the street and said, goodbye, Christmas.

My husband and I are about to have our second child and we are having a hard time agreeing on the name. Our first son's name is Rain, like R A I N, as in the weather. And for our second son, I like the name Denver. And it would be Denver Jade.

My husband's middle name is Dylan Jade.

So it'd be DJ and dj While he is on board for the name Forest. And what I can't get on board with is that my children would be named Rainforest. So he doesn't seem to think a big deal. We need some help deciding because our baby is coming in the next month and we need some help.

Yeah, Rainforest will be tough, but if you named a kid Rain to begin with, I don't think Rainforest is that much of a stretch. Like, Rain is a different name. Yeah, you're already going to get your kids named Rain. So I wouldn't let Rain Forest hold you back. If you like the name Forest.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

Yeah. I feel like when you're trying to call your kids, you're like, hey, you're like Rain Forest.

[Bobby Bones]

Absolutely.

In Michigan, this woman, Patrice Robal, and her husband, they both recently retired and they decided to spend their free time cleaning out their closet. And they realized, man, we got a lot of coats and stuff. We're going to donate these. She's like, well, I'm going to throw something on social media, see if any of our friends and neighbors want to donate their coats. I'll drop them off for them, no problem. Well, this Thing turned into something so big that she had to start putting bins around her house. Signs being like donate here or her doorbell is ringing with donations. Not just coats anymore, but teddy bears for kids and other items that people may need. And she just thought it was so cool. And she's overwhelmed that what started as a winter coat drive has turned into anything someone might need drive and they're able to provide two carloads full of ST people.

[Bobby Bones]

And I saw the HOA finder for the bins. No, I'm kidding. They didn't. I was like, kidding, but that's how my HOA would do.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

No, that'd be pretty bad. But it just shows that one small act can have a domino effect. And don't let, like one thing stop you from just posting something simple out to your friends. You never know what it could turn into.

So this comedian, Jeff Dye was talking about Sarah Hyland. Sarah Hyland was on Modern Family. She played the daughter, older, but he talked about how difficult she was to work with. I think he played like her husband on. On a movie or something. Here you go. In the time that I had to be on set, Sarah Hyland was the lead.

She's like a pretty woman.

Chain smokes and is terrible.

She was such a tyrant.

He went so hard. They got her back on. They got him back on tmz. And everybody thought he'd be like, oh, I'm sorry. He was like, no, I stand by all of it. She's like, she's terrible to work with. She's terrible to everybody. And I'm not gonna, like, continue to just not say anything about this behavior. And we had a little issue. I didn't. Lunchbox had an issue. Yeah, you kind of brought it on yourself, but yeah, you said, what about her wedding ring?

Well, she got engaged, and when it broke, she was dating a guy that he just did radio in our building. And I was like, there's no way he paid for that ring because she is a million dollar actress that has all this money. So I said, obviously she paid for the ring. Like, she had to give him money and say, hey, go buy a ring. And he used that money to go buy her a ring.

[Bobby Bones]

And how did they get mad at you? Oh, they were real hot. I mean, I got like, how did you. How did they get in contact with you?

[Lunchbox]

I think I got a message. I don't know if it was email or if it was even through. And then he reached out to Eddie and was like, I can't believe you let him say that on air.

[Eddie]

We used to be buddies, me and her husband, we used to be buddies. And ever since that happened, dude, like, it was radio silence.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

Never talk to him.

[Eddie]

Never again.

What do you take from this? Because the craft services table is where you just go eat. Like, they have that thing always full. And if you're working on set, you go to the table and you just eat. But then she complains that the actors were eating off of it. Like, that doesn't sound very nice.

Yeah, no, I'm. I'm not really sure why she would even care unless. She just doesn't want a bunch of hands touching where she likes to be. But it's not like she's funding it.

I mean, I still think she was great on the show. She seemed so nice and so awesome and, I mean, listen, you know, it's.

What the heck? How did I get in this? I said nothing. Bachelorette alum Wells Adams wants to be clear. When he proposes to his girlfriend, he's going to be the one who pays for the engagement ring. Yeah, I'm kind of lost in the timeline here, but I never said anything.

Maybe Lunchbox was just ahead of time saying if he proposes, there's no way he's going to be able to afford the ring.

Yeah, they quote me in this. I never said this. Oh, there was another story I wanted to share with you guys. It was pretty awesome. So over the weekend, the Auburn baseball team played. And the awesome part isn't the first part of the story. The player on the team, his mom had passed away that morning of cancer. And so he had said, too, that his mom wanted him to play, and so he played. And so everybody, like, knows who he is. His name is Kade Ballou. He gets up and here's a clip.

Regardless of the outcome or result, Stacy wanted her son to play. I didn't know how it would go, but he played an amazing game. It was pretty incredible. And he had a mash home run, which is pretty awesome. So we'll end the segment on that. Since we went.

How cold it is, how warm it is. I like it so warmed it. So we're always just arguing about the temperature and then just kind of like. She doesn't like that I set my alarm so early. She kind of mentions, like, you know, things like leaving the TV on, going to sleep. I love to go to sleep with the tv, stuff like that.

[Bobby Bones]

Leaving lights on around the house is number one. Number two is the temperature. We used to disagree on temperature, but now she likes it freezing cold for some reason. I think I've converted her. It's. It's one of the feathers in my cat. That's good because I would love it freezing. And now she's totally in on that. Most of our stuff is dog related. Like Dogs go outside, they come inside. Who cares if it's wet outside? They can track everywhere. I don't give a crap. But she does. And so she's like, if you knew the dogs were out, you know, maybe wipe their feet or something. We're now a no shoe household, which at first was really annoying for me because everybody had take their shoes off. And I'm embarrassed to tell people, take their shoes off when they come to the front door if they're coming in. I'm embarrassed to go, oh, take your shoes off. I don't know why, but that always feels weird.

[Eddie]

It just seems fancy. It's not, but it just seems like you're being too fancy. Like, take your shoes off, please.

[Bobby Bones]

Oh, I feel it's the opposite, really. I feel like it's not fancy at all. Like, it's just total redneck. Oh, like bare feet, everybody. Yee haw. So, but now it's weird if I go to someone's house and I'm wearing shoes because I'm like, all the crap that I bought on my feet, I'm now tracking all over their house.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

Feels dirty. So that was one. So she's converted me in the shoes. I've converted her in the air. We still disagree on dogs sometimes, because I really don't care what they do.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

Their nature definitely try to wipe their paws.

[Bobby Bones]

Leaving the toilet seat up is number three. Not really an issue in our house. Maybe because I think she just sees it up and puts it down. I don't think.

[Eddie]

Oh, really?

[Bobby Bones]

I never think about it. I haven't been trained to think about it. One time she fell in the middle of the night. But I mean, I don't really think about it when I pee. Not doing dishes at four. Starting but not completing housework is at five. Whose turn is it? Clean the floor at six. Okay. Dirty clothes on the floor. Yeah, I do that when I think about it. I think we all do in the bathroom. Just the bathroom, only in one spot. And I will leave towels up on.

[Eddie]

The sink instead of hanging them. Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

Or putting me in the dirty clothes. And she's like, you're gonna use that towel again? Because I've used it a couple times. No, I've used it a couple times. Well, why is it still on the sink? Well, you never know. I may decide to use it again. And then finally, not making the bed, which she's a big bed maker. I leave so early in the morning that I'm never there to be part of the bed making. But if I'm There in the afternoon. It's not made. I am told to go in and make it with her because it's easier with two people.

[Eddie]

You still have a lot of pillows.

[Bobby Bones]

Oh, dude, there's like a hundred. It's awful because they cover the whole bed. It's not even a pillow. I mean, it's not even a bed. It's a pillow.

[Eddie]

We have this.

[Bobby Bones]

It's a pillow holder.

[Eddie]

It's a pillow with a bed.

[Bobby Bones]

She's put three new massive pillows on the bed, and they don't stay on there when you sleep. They go off the bed, but they can't go on the floor because that would be gross to take pillows that have touched the floor to put back on the bed. So on this little stand. And then secondly, she has this little blanket she puts at the very bottom of the bed that we don't even use. It's just there for. Look. Oh.

[Eddie]

At the foot of the bed.

[Bobby Bones]

And it's not even.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

Like, why do we need this for decoration?

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah. I mean, I know, but I don't. We don't. We never use it. And it's not like people are going into our room. Why decorate where nobody goes? Is my whole argument there. But, yeah, those. Those would be ours. Mike. What about you guys? What do you guys fight about? I'd say I make a mess in the kitchen a lot, and then I don't restock anything. Like, I'll see something that's empty or almost empty, and I won't think to get any more of it. My favorite thing is still lunchbox. Those dirty clothes in the bathtub.

[Lunchbox]

Yep. That's where my hamper is, is the bathtub. Because we don't have a hamper. So where are you going to put them? You don't want them on the floor. Throw them in the bathtub. Then when it's time to wash them, take them out of the bathtub, take them to the washer and dryer.

[Bobby Bones]

You can never take a bath.

[Lunchbox]

Never take a bath. Bath is off limits.

[Bobby Bones]

Why not get a hamper? What if we got you a hamper? Would you guys use it?

[Lunchbox]

I think my wife would love that.

[Bobby Bones]

I think it's like five bucks, like, a cheap hamper or nothing.

[Lunchbox]

I'll be honest. I think my wife would be over the moon if you got us a hamper.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

She's like, her whole marriage is like, I've been wanting to take a bath.

[Lunchbox]

I mean, she does. She gets so. She's like, I don't understand.

[Bobby Bones]

So that's a you thing. That Puts dirty clothes.

[Lunchbox]

Oh, I'm the one that started it.

[Dr. Laurie Santos]

But she started to join in because I think it's sort of like you can't beat them, join them.

[Lunchbox]

I think I wore her down, right? For sure wore her down.

[Bobby Bones]

That's a weird one though. Like the air thing, I wore my wife down. The shoe thing, she wore me down. Dirty clothes in the bathtub. That's the weirdest one.

[Lunchbox]

Hey, you know what I mean? You gotta, you gotta start new traditions.

[Bobby Bones]

Not really a tradition, but okay. It's time for the good news with.

Shout out to the crazy people of Jackson Township, Ohio. Over 500 participants did the polar plunge. This is where they jump into a freezing lake. And they raised over $50,000, which is awesome. Over 20 charities benefited from this. But dude, I've seen this and I don't know if I could ever, ever do this.

[Bobby Bones]

You could do it. You walk from West Virginia to Tennessee. The polar plunge, though I don't even like taking a bath and I gotta lean my back up against the cold bathtub. I'll put like a little towel back there just for that part. I. Jumping in cold water is really like one of the worst minor things. Cold water. Yeah. Hangnails, paper cuts, having to the trash bag. I hate those things. But yeah. How many people do that?

[Eddie]

500 people.

That's so fun though.

[Bobby Bones]

You have to just jump too.

Yeah, you go for it.

You can't like wade in even in a pool on a summer day. I can't wait in because then it's like. Because guys, there's a certain part of our body when it gets a little cold at the bottom, it gets smaller.
